- 0:26Speaker 1: It is time to leave your worries outside and laugh
- 0:30Speaker 1: with us inside the treehouse. I'm Dan ol Mallley. He's
- 0:34Speaker 1: Trey Trendholme. Today is Monday, April fourteenth, twenty twenty five.
- 0:42Speaker 1: Happy to have you inside the treehouse. It's the beginning
- 0:47Speaker 1: of a new week, and I'm starting out a little,
- 0:51Speaker 1: a little little bum. I got a bum wing trail.
- 0:54Speaker 1: You can see across the studio there I got. I
- 0:57Speaker 1: look like I'm wearing like one shoulder pad on one
- 1:00Speaker 1: side of my body. That's just a it's probably melted
- 1:03Speaker 1: by now, but I take it out. That's my ice
- 1:05Speaker 1: pack on my bum shoulder. I now have a bum shoulder.
- 1:11Speaker 2: What'd you do?
- 1:12Speaker 3: Man?
- 1:13Speaker 1: I don't know. That's the worst thing about getting older
- 1:18Speaker 1: is you get injured and you don't know from what
- 1:20Speaker 1: or And this is my this is my favorite thing.
- 1:24Speaker 1: You'll do something that actually started the process of an injury,
- 1:29Speaker 1: but it doesn't complete the process of the injury until
- 1:32Speaker 1: you do something seemingly innocuous like sneeze or get out
- 1:38Speaker 1: of bed, or just bend over to tie a shoe.
- 1:42Speaker 1: And that's when all of a sudden you can't walk,
- 1:45Speaker 1: when in reality it was because you were moving or uh,
- 1:48Speaker 1: you know, lugging pavestones around the backyard or something. That's
- 1:53Speaker 1: what started it. But then you like just go one
- 1:56Speaker 1: morning and just you're just a puddle of yellow on
- 1:58Speaker 1: the floor. So I don't know what I did to
- 2:02Speaker 1: my shoulder. I just know it hurts. It's hurt for
- 2:04Speaker 1: like a month. It feels like when I jacked up
- 2:09Speaker 1: my rotator cuff when I was like fourteen. That's what
- 2:11Speaker 1: it feels like, except it won't go away because I
- 2:15Speaker 1: keep doing little things to reaggravate it.
- 2:19Speaker 2: Well, you know, there's a good chance if you jacked
- 2:25Speaker 2: up your rotator cuff before that, this is now coming
- 2:29Speaker 2: back to haunt you.
- 2:30Speaker 1: I know. But betray when I jacked up my rotator
- 2:34Speaker 1: cuff before one two, Oh my god, that was thirty
- 2:38Speaker 1: years ago.
- 2:39Speaker 2: Oh sweet Jesus, did you have it repaired?
- 2:42Speaker 4: Then?
- 2:43Speaker 1: No, it was fine. It really wasn't even that bad
- 2:45Speaker 1: of an injury at the time. Like I heard it
- 2:47Speaker 1: playing football and didn't know it until I went to
- 2:51Speaker 1: baseball practice and picked up the baseball to try to
- 2:54Speaker 1: throw it, and it buckled me to my knees. That's
- 2:56Speaker 1: when I realized, Oh, now I know what a rotator cuff.
- 2:58Speaker 1: Is he had me do was He gave me an
- 3:01Speaker 1: anti inflammatory and said, rested for two weeks, you should
- 3:06Speaker 1: be fine. It was an inflamed rotator cuff with tendonitis.
- 3:09Speaker 1: That's kind of what it feels like now. Unfortunately, our
- 3:12Speaker 1: current medical system doesn't allow me to self diagnose and
- 3:17Speaker 1: just say, I know what the problem is. Can we
- 3:19Speaker 1: try this before you charge me thousands of dollars to
- 3:22Speaker 1: meet my deductible for the year. Just give me an
- 3:24Speaker 1: anti inflammatory and let's see if that works. If it doesn't,
- 3:27Speaker 1: then I'll come give you buckets of money.
- 3:29Speaker 2: Well, first of all, there's a wonderful anti inflammatory called
- 3:36Speaker 2: ibuprofen over the counter.
- 3:38Speaker 1: I think I'm kind of numb unfortunately to that.
- 3:42Speaker 2: So let me ask you the first question. How long
- 3:45Speaker 2: has this been bothering you?
- 3:46Speaker 1: About a month?
- 3:47Speaker 2: Okay, how long? How much rest have you been given it.
- 3:51Speaker 1: I've been trying to give it a lot of rest.
- 3:53Speaker 1: Like I haven't even done any weights at the gym
- 3:54Speaker 1: in like three weeks, so that's a big thing. But
- 3:58Speaker 1: I've done other things to aggravate it. Like the other
- 4:01Speaker 1: day I put on a shirt and that hurt really,
- 4:05Speaker 1: really bad because I I see. I see how I
- 4:08Speaker 1: can't even move my shoulder past here right now?
- 4:11Speaker 2: The other day the other can you can you raise
- 4:14Speaker 2: your like.
- 4:15Speaker 1: Yeah, I can raise it. It's stiff, but I can
- 4:18Speaker 1: do it. That's also at least it's probably stiff because
- 4:22Speaker 1: I had the ice back on it.
- 4:23Speaker 2: But well, yeah, typically if you can't raise your arm
- 4:27Speaker 2: above your head, that's rotator cuff.
- 4:30Speaker 1: I can feel it like it hurts right here when
- 4:34Speaker 1: I make the l with my with my arm. You
- 4:36Speaker 1: know that looks like I'm about to testify before Congress. Uh,
- 4:40Speaker 1: that's that hurts when I hold it in that position.
- 4:42Speaker 1: I can raise it up and it probably hurt, but
- 4:45Speaker 1: I can feel it.
- 4:46Speaker 2: You probably got like a torn laborm or some stuff
- 4:49Speaker 2: floating around in there that you know, a little orthoscopic surgery.
- 4:53Speaker 2: Get that cleaned up.
- 4:54Speaker 1: Why are you taking me straight to surgery, doctor Trendholm,
- 4:57Speaker 1: Come on, bones, let's can we do like a little
- 4:59Speaker 1: non invasive work first.
- 5:02Speaker 2: You can all day long, but at a certain point,
- 5:05Speaker 2: especially especially if you were a baseball player, you gave
- 5:11Speaker 2: your shoulder a lot of wear and tear throwing the ball,
- 5:14Speaker 2: and so chances are you've got some loose cartilage and really,
- 5:18Speaker 2: at the end of the day, it doesn't disappear. It
- 5:21Speaker 2: just has to be cleaned up.
- 5:23Speaker 1: I just hate thinking about what you said, like you
- 5:25Speaker 1: probably just have something floating around in there, because things
- 5:28Speaker 1: just floating around in space have never caused any problems ever.
- 5:34Speaker 2: Well, unfortunately, the human joints, especially the shoulder, which is
- 5:39Speaker 2: just a remarkable joint, but the nature's padding, which is
- 5:43Speaker 2: cartilage kind of like every other padding, you know, after
- 5:48Speaker 2: a while becomes Warren Haggard and it just starts breaking
- 5:51Speaker 2: off in pieces.
- 5:53Speaker 1: Oh sweet Mother of God. So here's here's my new.
- 5:56Speaker 1: This is what I'm going to try before going to
- 5:59Speaker 1: the doctor. Okay, what I'm going to do is because
- 6:01Speaker 1: when I was fourteen, it went to the sports med doctor.
- 6:04Speaker 1: He gave me an anti inflammatory called Naperson. I still
- 6:07Speaker 1: remember it. So what I'm gonna do is I believe
- 6:11Speaker 1: the over I believe the over the counter equivalent to Naperson,
- 6:15Speaker 1: the anti inflammatory is a leave. So what I'm going
- 6:19Speaker 1: to do is go get a bucket.
- 6:20Speaker 2: Of a leave.
- 6:22Speaker 1: And self medicate for like a week for sure, maybe two,
- 6:29Speaker 1: and just take that and see how it does well.
- 6:33Speaker 2: If you really want to be smart about it, There's
- 6:35Speaker 2: something else you should do, which is go get a
- 6:37Speaker 2: sling and put your arm in it and reduce the
- 6:41Speaker 2: motion of your shoulder as much as possible.
- 6:46Speaker 1: I think I can do that, although I think my
- 6:51Speaker 1: wife's gonna look at me and say, oh God, I'm
- 6:55Speaker 1: married a puffin man.
- 6:58Speaker 2: Yeah, she's gonna do that anyways.
- 7:01Speaker 1: Oh, come on, that's done.

- 9:02Speaker 1: Enough complaining out of me, let's step into some serious,
- 9:07Speaker 1: serious stupid news. There's been a huge spate of teachers
- 9:14Speaker 1: going absolutely crazy with screwing their students lately, and this
- 9:18Speaker 1: is the one. While they all stand out on their own,
- 9:20Speaker 1: this is the one that stood out especially far for me. Look,
- 9:26Speaker 1: I talk for a living, but this story has actually
- 9:29Speaker 1: left me speechless. A teacher at an elite Catholic boys'
- 9:33Speaker 1: school in Ohio admitted she had sex with a seventeen
- 9:37Speaker 1: year old student and sent him nudes. And that's not
- 9:40Speaker 1: even the most shocking part. Are you ready for this?
- 9:43Speaker 1: When her husband filed for divorce, she blamed him for neglect.
- 9:49Speaker 1: All right, I've gathered a few thoughts. Being cheated on
- 9:54Speaker 1: is an awful feeling, but there are degrees to it.
- 9:57Speaker 1: Your wife banging a student is the worst. Any One
- 10:00Speaker 1: else in the school would have been way better, Like
- 10:02Speaker 1: it wouldn't have been as bad if she had hooked
- 10:04Speaker 1: up with the principal or the school resource officer. Hell,
- 10:07Speaker 1: even the janitor would have been better than a student.
- 10:10Speaker 1: Was the lunch lady available that might have spiced things up,
- 10:13Speaker 1: or the woodshop teacher for obvious reasons? But is there
- 10:19Speaker 1: anything scarier than your teacher wife hooking up with a student.
- 10:24Speaker 2: I mean, you had the story a couple of weeks
- 10:26Speaker 2: ago where the teacher was hooking up with multiple students
- 10:29Speaker 2: and making him wear the scream mask.
- 10:31Speaker 1: The only thing scarier than your teacher wife hooking up
- 10:34Speaker 1: with a student is her getting railed by multiple students
- 10:37Speaker 1: at the same time while wearing scream masks, which also
- 10:42Speaker 1: happened recently. Trey your thoughts.
- 10:49Speaker 2: I mean, you know, the uh, the inner child in me,
- 10:58Speaker 2: you know, goes, well, why couldn't my hot teacher's been
- 11:01Speaker 2: like this? I think of the Pete Davidson sketch on
- 11:04Speaker 2: SNL and you know, go, hey, good on you. But
- 11:09Speaker 2: the adult in me goes, oh, this is awful. Uh,
- 11:13Speaker 2: you know, bad teacher. Although he's seventeen, technically most states,
- 11:19Speaker 2: you're an adult. But yeah, the.
- 11:21Speaker 1: Husband, it's still an authority position, a position of power,
- 11:26Speaker 1: possibly taking advantage of someone a little on the naive side.
- 11:30Speaker 2: I mean, did you know a lot of seventeen year
- 11:37Speaker 2: old guys that you know wouldn't have loved to have
- 11:40Speaker 2: been taken advantage of by their teacher?
- 11:43Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 11:43Speaker 1: I mean yeah, I still remember in high school hearing
- 11:47Speaker 1: about that. Was that Mary kay Laturno, And I think
- 11:49Speaker 1: there might have been a couple of other isolated, very
- 11:52Speaker 1: isolated instances where a teacher hooked up with a student.
- 11:56Speaker 1: And yeah, most of us in high school, you know,
- 11:59Speaker 1: junior seniors like raise their hands. Yeah, okay, sure, yeah,
- 12:03Speaker 1: as long as it's not missus Reynolds, my ap English teacher,
- 12:07Speaker 1: then I'm open. But to go and blame the husband afterwards,
- 12:13Speaker 1: is some truly next level sociopathic gas lighting type stuff
- 12:20Speaker 1: going on. I mean, you know, he, well, my husband
- 12:24Speaker 1: neglected me, so I decided to screw the football team.
- 12:29Speaker 2: I mean, maybe he was he wasn't being attentive to
- 12:32Speaker 2: her needs. Maybe maybe he wasn't asking her about her day.
- 12:37Speaker 1: Yeah, because that's what a seventeen year old's gonna do.
- 12:42Speaker 2: Maybe he made her, you know, pick where they had
- 12:44Speaker 2: to eat.
- 12:48Speaker 1: It's easy when all you want is a happy meal.
- 12:53Speaker 1: You just want some Dino nuggets.
- 12:56Speaker 2: Chuck e cheese all day.
- 12:57Speaker 1: Yeah, you want to jump in the ball pit with me?
- 13:03Speaker 2: Oh seems a little crowded, honey, But it.
- 13:06Speaker 1: Really is troubling the fact that this teacher has sex
- 13:10Speaker 1: with a seventeen year old student then accused her a
- 13:13Speaker 1: husband of neglect when he filed for divorce.
- 13:19Speaker 2: Wow, yeah, that's uh man, I it's it's just an extreme,
- 13:29Speaker 2: extreme version of things I've been through before. You know,
- 13:31Speaker 2: where I've got upset with some what I was dating
- 13:36Speaker 2: because I said I'd had a bad day and she
- 13:38Speaker 2: didn't ask you know why what happened? Was I okay anything?
- 13:43Speaker 2: And uh but that I it was my fault, you know,
- 13:46Speaker 2: because I expected I should have just told her what
- 13:49Speaker 2: was going on, And how dare I expect her to ask.
- 13:55Speaker 1: About your day?
- 13:56Speaker 2: Huh?
- 13:59Speaker 1: I don't feel like you were in the wrong on
- 14:01Speaker 1: that one. I feel like, hey, honey, how is your day.
- 14:05Speaker 1: It isn't just a good foundational thing to have in
- 14:11Speaker 1: a relationship, it's just polite, Well how are you.
- 14:16Speaker 2: In the course of conversation, if someone you know goes, yeah,
- 14:19Speaker 2: I'm having a really rough day, you go, what, okay,
- 14:24Speaker 2: what's going on? Anything I do to help? Just give
- 14:26Speaker 2: them standard things you think when you're dating, not oh,
- 14:30Speaker 2: five hours later, Oh, I'm just getting home from going
- 14:34Speaker 2: out with my girlfriend, how's your night?
- 14:39Speaker 1: This is my favorite type of person. Ready you come
- 14:44Speaker 1: home and you say, who man, I've had a really
- 14:47Speaker 1: rough day, And her response is I had a rough
- 14:50Speaker 1: day too, let me tell you about it, and doesn't
- 14:52Speaker 1: shut up for half an hour about her rough day
- 14:54Speaker 1: and doesn't even remember the fact that you started the
- 14:57Speaker 1: conversation about your rough day.
- 15:01Speaker 2: I didn't know you named my ex.

- 15:54Speaker 1: I'm Dan, He's Trey. Today is Monday, April fourteenth, twenty twenty. Trey,
- 16:01Speaker 1: are you ready for the baggage wars?
- 16:06Speaker 2: Sure? Who's got the most emotional or what I'm gonna
- 16:10Speaker 2: win that one? No?
- 16:13Speaker 1: Like actual baggage luggage luggage wars. Maybe I should have
- 16:17Speaker 1: been more specific.
- 16:20Speaker 2: Like airlines.
- 16:21Speaker 1: Yes, yes, we talked about this. Last month, Southwest Airlines
- 16:26Speaker 1: ended its bags fly free policy, and now other airlines
- 16:31Speaker 1: are swooping in to steal those pissed off customers. Delta
- 16:35Speaker 1: Airlines is directly targeting Southwest customers by offering Elite status
- 16:40Speaker 1: for switching loyalty to Delta instead. Southwest A List members
- 16:45Speaker 1: will be elevated to Delta's Gold Medallion status, which comes
- 16:49Speaker 1: with benefits such ads, free checked bag each way, priority
- 16:53Speaker 1: security line access, and priority boarding Frontier Airlines also when
- 17:00Speaker 1: so promotion offering customers a package that included free checked baggage.
- 17:05Speaker 1: This is exactly what we said was going to happen.
- 17:11Speaker 2: But I believe the devil's in the details with this
- 17:16Speaker 2: because it's a free check bag, because you can only
- 17:20Speaker 2: your carry on can only be so like, got you
- 17:23Speaker 2: talking about checked on like your carry on.
- 17:27Speaker 1: For Delta, they're talking about a free checked bag each way,
- 17:32Speaker 1: plus priority security, line access and priority boarding. Frontier announced
- 17:37Speaker 1: a promotion offering customers a package that included free checked baggage.
- 17:42Speaker 1: So you're right. Neither one of those mentions carry ons,
- 17:45Speaker 1: which carry ons is a separate thing that most of
- 17:48Speaker 1: the airlines have said they are going to start adopting
- 17:51Speaker 1: the European rules on that, which is a smaller carry on.
- 17:55Speaker 1: They're just so far they're targeting that free checked bag
- 17:58Speaker 1: policy that Southwest used to have. Now with the Frontier thing,
- 18:04Speaker 1: it says this is a promotion that they announced, so
- 18:07Speaker 1: since it's a promotion that may not be permanent, the
- 18:10Speaker 1: Delta thing, the Delta thing looks to be a permanent
- 18:14Speaker 1: thing going after Southwest priority customers.
- 18:17Speaker 2: I mean, I think Spirit's going to get involved.
- 18:20Speaker 1: No, no, you pay for everything on Spirit. They're not
- 18:25Speaker 1: changing their model.
- 18:27Speaker 2: They're going to elevate you. They'll actually get your bag
- 18:29Speaker 2: where you're going.
- 18:30Speaker 1: I mean, yeah, I'm surprised that's not already a fee,
- 18:34Speaker 1: because in my mind, Spirit would charge you a fee
- 18:38Speaker 1: to put the bag on the plane. If you want
- 18:40Speaker 1: to get the bag back when you get to your destination,
- 18:43Speaker 1: that would be an additional fee. It's not, but it
- 18:47Speaker 1: wouldn't surprise me if they ever went that route, especially
- 18:50Speaker 1: since they're going through bankruptcy stuff. Now, keep in mind
- 18:53Speaker 1: the bags fly free policy that Southwest ended did not
- 18:58Speaker 1: go over well with its customer. Southwest has received a
- 19:01Speaker 1: lot of criticism for the decision to end its policy
- 19:04Speaker 1: of free checked baggage, but Southwest Airlines has remained insistent
- 19:09Speaker 1: that it will move forward with a new policy no
- 19:11Speaker 1: matter how much criticism the company receives from angry customers. Look,
- 19:17Speaker 1: this is interesting. I support not cow telling to a
- 19:19Speaker 1: few angry Yelp reviewers, But if you've managed to piss
- 19:22Speaker 1: off all your customers and you don't care, that's bad business.
- 19:27Speaker 2: Now.
- 19:27Speaker 1: Granted, I don't have a business degree and I've never
- 19:29Speaker 1: been the CEO of a fortune five hundred company. But
- 19:32Speaker 1: I know stupid and this is stupid.
- 19:36Speaker 2: Well, it'll it'll. It remains to be seen if their
- 19:41Speaker 2: numbers go down. But I'm sure one of the things Southwest,
- 19:47Speaker 2: you know, is counting on is especially like Dallas for example,
- 19:52Speaker 2: I don't care how mad people get at Southwest. Flying
- 19:55Speaker 2: out of love Field is far more convenient if you
- 19:58Speaker 2: live inside the city of Dallas than it is is
- 20:00Speaker 2: going to DFW. And that's even you know, huff and
- 20:05Speaker 2: puff and everything else. But at the end of the day,
- 20:06Speaker 2: people are still going to fly Southwest because of convenience.
- 20:11Speaker 1: For that specific thing. Yes, However, so many people live
- 20:19Speaker 1: around Dallas, right, It's they live in the suburbs around it.
- 20:24Speaker 1: Like if you live in Plano, it's actually easier to
- 20:28Speaker 1: go to DFW and might take less time than it
- 20:32Speaker 1: would be to drive to love Field you live in
- 20:34Speaker 1: Fort Worth. Same thing. The other thing this opens is,
- 20:38Speaker 1: and I don't think they can do it because of
- 20:40Speaker 1: ordinances and local laws, is would there ever be an
- 20:43Speaker 1: opportunity for Alliance Airport north of Fort Worth to open
- 20:47Speaker 1: itself up a little bit and be a little bit
- 20:49Speaker 1: more like love Field and try to take on some
- 20:52Speaker 1: of that regional carrier stuff, so people aren't driving from
- 20:55Speaker 1: Wataga to Dallas.
- 20:59Speaker 2: Does Alliance even have like commercial flights?
- 21:04Speaker 1: I think it's all private, but I mean you've got
- 21:07Speaker 1: infrastructure there. They can do it.
- 21:10Speaker 2: They could, and I believe there was Wasn't there an
- 21:13Speaker 2: airline that tried it and it failed. I mean I
- 21:17Speaker 2: don't even know. Uh you know, JSX has become pretty
- 21:22Speaker 2: popular as kind of a upper tier way to travel.
- 21:28Speaker 2: I mean it's it's what is airlines?
- 21:31Speaker 1: Huh what is JSX?
- 21:32Speaker 2: It's a it's a startup airline. Where they fly I
- 21:36Speaker 2: think it's MB eighties, but they're all like first class seats.
- 21:40Speaker 2: There's only like eighty seats on a plane, I think,
- 21:42Speaker 2: and uh they go, you know, like Dallas to love
- 21:46Speaker 2: Field is one of their big routes. I'm sorry, I
- 21:50Speaker 2: mean Dallas to Vegas got it, okay, But they fly
- 21:54Speaker 2: out of love Field and uh, you know, they seem
- 21:57Speaker 2: to be doing doing pretty well. I mean over our lives,
- 21:59Speaker 2: we've seeing a number of airlines come and go that
- 22:02Speaker 2: have tried to like take on Southwest and that model.
- 22:06Speaker 1: Maybe maybe that is a good A good answer is
- 22:09Speaker 1: you basically have three types of airlines, right, you have
- 22:15Speaker 1: the riff raff, which would be your Spirit Airlines and
- 22:18Speaker 1: your other you know, low budget carriers where God only
- 22:22Speaker 1: knows what's going to happen on those flights. Then you
- 22:25Speaker 1: have the middle upper like the ones you're talking about
- 22:28Speaker 1: that it's uh, it's nice, but it's not quite Emirates nice.
- 22:34Speaker 1: And then Emirates would be like the uber luxury where
- 22:36Speaker 1: you've got the bar and the showers and the beds
- 22:38Speaker 1: and and Jennifer Aniston is in the seat next to
- 22:41Speaker 1: you type of stuff. Because that that middle road where
- 22:45Speaker 1: Southwest typically occupies, or a bunch of these other ones.
- 22:48Speaker 1: I think it's just they're going to have to decide
- 22:50Speaker 1: which way do they want to go. Do they want
- 22:51Speaker 1: to go cheap or do they want to go a
- 22:53Speaker 1: little higher end?
- 22:54Speaker 2: Well it and this will be a really good litmus
- 22:57Speaker 2: test in business wise because Southwest is based now controlled
- 23:01Speaker 2: by a large hedge fund type you know operation, and it.
- 23:07Speaker 1: Comes with all the hedge fundy type ideas like pissing
- 23:10Speaker 1: off your customers and saying you know what, you know
- 23:12Speaker 1: this policy we've had for years that you all love
- 23:15Speaker 1: f you.
- 23:17Speaker 2: And if customers actually take the fu to saying okay,
- 23:21Speaker 2: we're going to fly another carrier. Sooner or later, they'll
- 23:24Speaker 2: they'll change their policy. But I'm sure what they're betting
- 23:26Speaker 2: on is that they'll ride out the storm and people
- 23:30Speaker 2: will fly south keep flying Southwest.
- 23:35Speaker 1: Don't let them do it. People, don't let them. Don't
- 23:37Speaker 1: let him grip you so tightly by the scrowt.
- 23:41Speaker 2: Well, it's where it's risky is. Southwest has not exactly
- 23:45Speaker 2: had a stellar like, let's say, last five years. I
- 23:48Speaker 2: mean they're a computer problem away from having an absolute meltdown.
- 23:54Speaker 1: Yeah, you've given me an idea.
- 23:57Speaker 2: They've got update from Windows ninety eight.

- 24:47Speaker 1: here inside the Treehouse. This is the Treehouse Show. I'm
- 24:50Speaker 1: Dan Olmley. He is Trey Trendholme. Today is Monday, April fourteenth,
- 24:55Speaker 1: two thousand, twenty five. Already been a lot of excitement
- 25:01Speaker 1: in today's show, a lot of interesting moments, and this
- 25:05Speaker 1: is going to be one that stands out from the rest.
- 25:09Speaker 1: All Right, all right, Trey, have you heard of the
- 25:13Speaker 1: gay beam machine. It's not from the same company that
- 25:19Speaker 1: did the mystery machine from Scooby Doo. This is a
- 25:21Speaker 1: very different thing.
- 25:22Speaker 2: Just FYI, the gay beam machine, I have not heard
- 25:26Speaker 2: of that.
- 25:28Speaker 1: Prepare to be enlightened, Trey.
- 25:30Speaker 2: All Right.
- 25:32Speaker 1: A Christian nationalist pastor named Andrew Isker made an inflammatory
- 25:37Speaker 1: claim on his podcast that he calls the number one
- 25:40Speaker 1: Christian nationalist podcast in the world.
- 25:45Speaker 2: Isn't Christian nationalist another way for white supremacists.
- 25:51Speaker 1: You'd have to ask a pastor, uh ask isker Iker
- 25:55Speaker 1: whatever it is. Anyway, here he is to tell you,
- 25:59Speaker 1: Trey about the gay beam machine.
- 26:02Speaker 8: Patriot at was act was passed.
- 26:05Speaker 9: Right, give me a break, Like I had to be
- 26:06Speaker 9: molested at the airport to go to Florida, right just
- 26:10Speaker 9: to get on an airplane because I'm not going to
- 26:11Speaker 9: go through the the gay beam machine.
- 26:15Speaker 1: At this point, I wasn't sure if he was just
- 26:17Speaker 1: kind of joking around and like being kind of silly
- 26:20Speaker 1: on his number one white Christian nationalist podcast in the
- 26:25Speaker 1: world type of thing. But then he goes then he
- 26:28Speaker 1: goes deeper.
- 26:30Speaker 9: An airplane because I'm not going to go through the
- 26:33Speaker 9: the gay beam machine.
- 26:35Speaker 8: I didn't let Cej do it. I wouldn't let him
- 26:37Speaker 8: do it.
- 26:37Speaker 9: I said, you're getting padded down to buddy, I don't
- 26:40Speaker 9: want them turning you gay.
- 26:46Speaker 8: It appears having a guy touch you all over the
- 26:49Speaker 8: place is on its face, seems worse.
- 26:53Speaker 9: But you don't really know what's going on, what those
- 26:57Speaker 9: things are doing to you.
- 26:58Speaker 1: So where the imaging goes or what the.
- 27:00Speaker 9: Yeah, because it's like yeah, like yeah, who they can
- 27:03Speaker 9: just take a picture of me, Like no.
- 27:06Speaker 8: Virtual adrenochrome system back there?
- 27:08Speaker 9: Yeah?
- 27:08Speaker 8: Maybe maybe so.
- 27:15Speaker 1: The gay be machine. Really, so.
- 27:23Speaker 2: We're now questioning the technology of X ray, yes, and
- 27:27Speaker 2: other imaging devices that I'm sure you'd be happy to
- 27:30Speaker 2: have if you were hurting in the hospital.
- 27:33Speaker 5: But and.
- 27:35Speaker 1: This just sounds like the This just sounds like the
- 27:38Speaker 1: excuse they're going to use when they get busted with
- 27:40Speaker 1: another man. It's not my fault you caught me kissing Kyle.
- 27:43Speaker 1: I mean, it's that gay b machine at the airport.
- 27:47Speaker 2: That mustache. That guy kind of looks like he you know,
- 27:50Speaker 2: you could find him in a in a gay bar
- 27:53Speaker 2: on a Sunday afternoon. But you know, and and in fact,
- 28:00Speaker 2: most people would find having someone else touch you all
- 28:03Speaker 2: over would be far more violating than the gay beam machine.
- 28:11Speaker 1: Yeah, and and he and he touches on that in
- 28:13Speaker 1: here by saying, I sy, I'll back it up here
- 28:17Speaker 1: a gay beam machine go.
- 28:18Speaker 9: To Florida right just to get on an airplane because
- 28:20Speaker 9: I'm not going to go through the the gay beam machine.
- 28:23Speaker 1: So he's not going to go through the gay beam
- 28:25Speaker 1: machine because he thinks the machine will turn you gay.
- 28:29Speaker 1: But there's still the problem trade like you brought up
- 28:31Speaker 1: of the physical pat down.
- 28:34Speaker 8: I didn't let SEEJ do it. I wouldn't le him
- 28:36Speaker 8: do it.
- 28:36Speaker 9: I said, you're getting padded down to buddy, I don't
- 28:39Speaker 9: want them turning you gay. It appears having a guy
- 28:47Speaker 9: touch you all over the place is, on its face,
- 28:50Speaker 9: seems worse.
- 28:53Speaker 1: See see he's he's truly, he's truly analyzing here.
- 28:59Speaker 8: But you don't really know what's going on those things
- 29:03Speaker 8: are doing to you.
- 29:03Speaker 1: So where the imaging goes or whatever. Yeah, so he's
- 29:08Speaker 1: saying that being touched is better, But it's sort of
- 29:11Speaker 1: like the better bad choice. He doesn't want to be
- 29:14Speaker 1: turned instantly gay by the gay beam machine at the airport,
- 29:18Speaker 1: so he's electing for the physical molestation by TSA agents.
- 29:23Speaker 1: And he still thinks that even that is dangerous territory
- 29:29Speaker 1: because that can also turn you gay. But it's a
- 29:33Speaker 1: better choice than them having the digital images of your
- 29:37Speaker 1: naked body. And that's the other aspect of love about this.
- 29:40Speaker 1: This is one of the things that it always fascinates
- 29:42Speaker 1: me with dudes thinking that there's some perv in the
- 29:47Speaker 1: back room that just can't wait to see the naked
- 29:49Speaker 1: photo of you. Look, I'm looking at this guy. No
- 29:52Speaker 1: one wants to see a naked photo of this dude.
- 29:56Speaker 1: And that's that's one of the things that's always fascinated me.
- 29:59Speaker 1: When people say want to do that, they're gonna be
- 30:01Speaker 1: looking at me. Are you do? You think you're so hot?
- 30:04Speaker 1: That's that that some man is not going to be
- 30:06Speaker 1: able to control himself around you. I mean, my god,
- 30:10Speaker 1: that's that's some serious ego.
- 30:14Speaker 2: And he doesn't know what the gay beam machine looking
- 30:18Speaker 2: at him, because what they'd find is a unicorn that sparkles.
- 30:25Speaker 1: And you're right with that mustache. He looks like a walrus.
- 30:30Speaker 3: He's beyond Bear dot com A Briley.

- 31:32Speaker 1: com today. This is the Treehouse Show. I'm Dan, O'Malley.
- 31:35Speaker 1: He's trade Trenholm. Before we get into birthdays, there is
- 31:39Speaker 1: one more little part I wanted to touch on inside
- 31:42Speaker 1: the Gay Beammachine Worry from the Christian Nationalist Pastors podcast.
- 31:49Speaker 1: That's a lot of titles. So he's afraid of the
- 31:53Speaker 1: big gig, the big gay beam machine at the airport.
- 31:58Speaker 1: He doesn't like being padded down either, But he'd rather
- 32:01Speaker 1: be padded down than have someone get free neked images
- 32:04Speaker 1: of him to do whatever with when he's not around,
- 32:08Speaker 1: or keeping in some sort of file somewhere because they're
- 32:12Speaker 1: just waiting for him to walk through and going, oh,
- 32:14Speaker 1: thank god, it's him.
- 32:16Speaker 2: I mean, and maybe you know, because you know, sometimes
- 32:18Speaker 2: in a pat down you get a cavity.
- 32:20Speaker 1: Search only if you're really lucky. But you heard it
- 32:27Speaker 1: in that clip. His co host interjected to speculate that
- 32:31Speaker 1: the gay beam machine scanning process might somehow involve virtual adenochrome,
- 32:36Speaker 1: which is a reference to the chemical compound produced by
- 32:39Speaker 1: the oxidation of adrenaline, which plays a big role in
- 32:43Speaker 1: QAnon lore about wealthy elites and alleged child trafficking rings.
- 32:48Speaker 1: Iker and Ingle, the two hosts these critical thinkers, moved
- 32:53Speaker 1: to Tennessee with aims of creating a community of heritage
- 32:57Speaker 1: Americans who are depicted in their social media posts with
- 33:01Speaker 1: images of Norman Rockwell's idyllic depictions of mid century life,
- 33:05Speaker 1: and they have explicitly stated their longing for the American
- 33:09Speaker 1: way of life before women joined the workforce and civil
- 33:13Speaker 1: rights ruined everything. I don't care what Howard Stern and
- 33:19Speaker 1: Rush Limbaugh said throughout their careers, these guys are the
- 33:22Speaker 1: real shock jocks.
- 33:26Speaker 2: That's uh, I.
- 33:29Speaker 1: Mean before civil rights ruined everything?
- 33:32Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 33:33Speaker 2: God, oh, I mean the whole pedophile thing. Unfortunately, Epstein
- 33:39Speaker 2: has really thrown a wrench and us making complete fun
- 33:42Speaker 2: of those idiots.
- 33:44Speaker 1: Yeah, but these two idiots, they're a fair game.
- 33:49Speaker 2: Yeah. The fact you want to go to pre World
- 33:52Speaker 2: War two.
- 33:54Speaker 1: Time and let's hop in the way back machine to
- 33:57Speaker 1: where most of us don't have rights anymore, but.
- 34:00Speaker 2: Me and and women and women joined the workforce. Now
- 34:04Speaker 2: did they want to Were they okay with women voting?
- 34:08Speaker 2: Or they trying to get that knocked off too.
- 34:12Speaker 1: I don't know their thoughts on the suffrage movement, but
- 34:16Speaker 1: I I have an idea.
- 34:19Speaker 10: Yeah, so they're what, go ahead, They're not all wrong. Wow,
- 34:26Speaker 10: sounds like they just got a new listener. Terrey's signing
- 34:32Speaker 10: up for their Patreon right now. All right, let's salvage
- 34:34Speaker 10: this mess with birthdays.
- 34:38Speaker 1: Today is Monday, April fourteenth, twenty twenty five. Let's celebrate
- 34:42Speaker 1: along with Abigail Breslin. She is twenty nine today. She's
- 34:47Speaker 1: an actress. She played Chanelle Number five on screen. Queens
- 34:51Speaker 1: also a baby in the Dirty Dancing remake. She was
- 34:54Speaker 1: also the cute little girl from Signs, the one that
- 34:57Speaker 1: left the cups everywhere, you know, and little Miss Sunshine.
- 35:01Speaker 1: And she is the butt kicking junior zombie killer in
- 35:06Speaker 1: Zombie Land. Okay, yeah, there you go. You're going to
- 35:10Speaker 1: recognize her from one of those projects.
- 35:12Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 35:13Speaker 1: So, Abigail Breslam turns twenty nine today. Happy birthday to her.
- 35:16Speaker 2: How was the Dirty Dancing remake? Remake?
- 35:20Speaker 1: I love that you assumed I saw it?
- 35:23Speaker 2: How was it?
- 35:33Speaker 1: I actually didn't see it. I actually have.
- 35:35Speaker 2: Not seen it.
- 35:36Speaker 1: Yeah, that's what I'm serious. I haven't seen it. I
- 35:39Speaker 1: don't have time to watch the remake. My wife makes
- 35:42Speaker 1: me watch the original way too often, fair enough, And
- 35:47Speaker 1: you know where I am when I watch Dirty Dancing.
- 35:50Speaker 2: Tray in the corner. You damn right.
- 35:54Speaker 1: Don't put baby in the corner, but my wife will
- 35:56Speaker 1: put me in the corner in the heartbeat. No, I've
- 36:00Speaker 1: actually never seen the remake. I really have no idea.
- 36:05Speaker 1: Speaking of remakes, are you ready for a Blood Sport remake?
- 36:09Speaker 1: I saw the other day. One of the new hot
- 36:11Speaker 1: Hollywood studios is A twenty four. They're the ones that
- 36:15Speaker 1: been that have been behind some really impressive box office
- 36:20Speaker 1: success and critical success projects. A twenty four is a
- 36:25Speaker 1: studio that looks like they just purchased the remake rights
- 36:29Speaker 1: for the movie blood Sport. That was Jean Claude van
- 36:33Speaker 1: dam sort of coming out movie, which also had the
- 36:37Speaker 1: guy that played Ogre from Revenge of the Nerds as
- 36:40Speaker 1: his best buddy.
- 36:42Speaker 2: Oh yeah, but do we have a modern day Jean
- 36:47Speaker 2: Claud van dam.
- 36:49Speaker 5: Uh.
- 36:50Speaker 1: Yeah, he was in one of the Expendables remakes. He's
- 36:52Speaker 1: been in a couple of.
- 36:53Speaker 2: No, but a modern day like a new version a hero,
- 37:00Speaker 2: like with the whole martial arts thing.
- 37:03Speaker 1: I got you, I got you, an up and coming
- 37:06Speaker 1: Jean Claude van Damn type actor to take the role. Honestly,
- 37:10Speaker 1: the closest that I can think of at the top
- 37:12Speaker 1: of my head would be maybe Simu Lu who was
- 37:18Speaker 1: in the Marvel movie Shang Chi, just because of martial
- 37:21Speaker 1: arts stuff. But there really has only been one Muscles
- 37:26Speaker 1: from Brussels, so maybe they hold an open casting call.
- 37:29Speaker 1: I don't know, because he was a relative unknown at
- 37:33Speaker 1: the time, that's true, so I really don't know if
- 37:37Speaker 1: there's if there's another JCVD running.
- 37:41Speaker 2: Around, we can always hope.
- 37:47Speaker 1: I do have hope. I'm sure that m M. Maybe
- 37:51Speaker 1: one of those, maybe one of those side characters in
- 37:57Speaker 1: the in Cobra Kai TV show. Maybe one of them,
- 38:00Speaker 1: maybe Hawk, there you go, Hawk from Kolbri Kai makes
- 38:03Speaker 1: the leap into blood Sport and does the Koobie tea.
- 38:08Speaker 2: Maybe they just see if John John Klouda Van Damn
- 38:10Speaker 2: Sin's got one more in them.
- 38:14Speaker 1: I think they won't have to ask. I think he'll
- 38:17Speaker 1: just be on set banging on the door begging to
- 38:21Speaker 1: be let in.
- 38:24Speaker 2: And Steven Seagull will be waiting in the wings.
- 38:28Speaker 1: Eating eating craft services.

- 39:10Speaker 1: at Treehouse on Air, give us a follow today. I'm Dan,
- 39:14Speaker 1: He's Tray. This is the Treehouse Show for Monday, April fourteenth,
- 39:18Speaker 1: twenty twenty five. We keep discussing on and off Tray
- 39:25Speaker 1: Star Wars stuff. And because we've talked enough about Star
- 39:29Speaker 1: Wars on the show. My phone has heard it. My
- 39:34Speaker 1: phone hears all sorts of things, and because of that,
- 39:36Speaker 1: it feeds me things that are not of my choosing.
- 39:40Speaker 1: It just listens to me and it shows me things
- 39:43Speaker 1: when I'm signed online, right, a lot of.
- 39:45Speaker 2: Instagram, like the hemorrhoid deal from the other day. Let's
- 39:49Speaker 2: not blame the show. This is a lot of this
- 39:50Speaker 2: has to do with your personal life.
- 39:52Speaker 1: No, this is show related. The only person I look.
- 39:55Speaker 1: I don't talk to my wife about Star Wars stuff
- 39:58Speaker 1: very often. You and I. It just to naturally come
- 40:01Speaker 1: up in conversation. I'm not talking Star Wars with Bella,
- 40:04Speaker 1: my chihuahua, So it's you and me. It's the show's fault.
- 40:08Speaker 1: My phone is listening, and I'm not completely opposed to it,
- 40:11Speaker 1: because sometimes it sends me some really interesting gems. Other
- 40:16Speaker 1: times it sends me things I didn't want, like the
- 40:19Speaker 1: orthopedic old man shoes or the hemorrhoid serum stuff that
- 40:25Speaker 1: we talked about. Yeah. No, this one was actually a
- 40:30Speaker 1: little bit friendlier, although it is concerning. Okay, because of
- 40:34Speaker 1: all the conversations we've been having on the show about
- 40:36Speaker 1: Star Wars, my phone was listening in and it showed
- 40:39Speaker 1: me this on Instagram last night, a Star Wars plot
- 40:44Speaker 1: hole theory set to a Burton Ernie meme. So the
- 40:50Speaker 1: photo is Burton Ernie in their separate beds, right, and
- 40:54Speaker 1: at the forefront you've got Bert wide awake, looking very annoyed.
- 41:00Speaker 1: He's trying to go to sleep, and behind him from
- 41:02Speaker 1: his bed, Ernie is saying, in Return of the Jedi,
- 41:06Speaker 1: how could the Ewoks have addressed that fit leya unless
- 41:09Speaker 1: they cooked and ate a woman her size? I have
- 41:15Speaker 1: seen Return of the Jedi countless time since it came
- 41:18Speaker 1: out in nineteen eighty three. Not once have I thought
- 41:22Speaker 1: about where the Ewoks got addressed for Princess Leah until today?
- 41:29Speaker 5: Have you?
- 41:32Speaker 2: No? No, I have had never pondered that.
- 41:35Speaker 1: You're thrown right now, aren't you?
- 41:37Speaker 2: I am? It's an interesting point in Return of the Jedi.

- 41:54Speaker 1: three Po, they had Luke, they had hon, they had Chewy,
- 41:58Speaker 1: all being brought in on on on spits and set

- 42:34Speaker 1: roasted and rotisseried, Which does beg the question with Chewbacca
