Mega Edition: How New York And Florida Failed The Survivors (6/16/26) · The Vault: The Epstein Files

Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome back to the Epstein Chronicles.
0:05
When I talk about corruption surrounding Jeffrey Epstein, his prosecution
0:10
or lack of prosecution, and his criminal enterprise, it's not
0:14
like I'm just pulling this shit right out of the air.
0:17
All you have to do is take the time to
0:20
do the deep dive, and all of the information is
0:23
right there for you. It wasn't just the federal government
0:26
who failed these survivors. It was also several different local governments.
0:32
We've talked a lot about Florida, We've talked a lot
0:35
about Balderis over in New Mexico. But New York and
0:40
the state prosecutors most assuredly failed these survivors as well.
0:45
In fact, I would take it a step further and say,
0:48
in New York, it's even more of a transgression considering
0:53
this was happening right under their noses. You mean to
0:56
tell me they weren't getting any whispers about what Jeffrey
1:00
Epstein was up to in their office. I know that's
1:02
a damn lie, because the survivors themselves were telling them
1:07
about what Epstein was up to. So they really have
1:11
no leg to stand on here acting like they didn't
1:13
know who Epstein was or what he was. They most
1:17
certainly did, and the truth of the matter is they
1:22
just didn't care. Because if they really wanted to go
1:24
after him, if they really wanted to get Jeffrey Epstein,
1:27
as we've established in the previous articles, the prosecution agreement
1:32
in Florida, it meant nothing. In New York. They did
1:36
not want to go after him. And we can debate
1:40
the reasoning why they didn't want to go after him.
1:42
I obviously have my own opinions, and I'm sure a
1:44
lot of other people out there have their own opinions,
1:47
But for me, it seems to be very simple. The
1:51
idea of exposing all of this is the last thing
1:54
the authorities wanted to do, so why go after it
2:00
with the gusto that they should. Instead, they'll give you
2:03
some low hanging fruit. Maxwell will get arrested. Jeffrey Epstein
2:07
got arrested. But that was going to be the end
2:09
of it, right. We're never gonna hear anything else about
2:12
what went on, at least not in the Maxwell trial.
2:15
If Epstein would have stood trial, I think we would
2:18
have got a lot more about the inner workings of
2:21
the machine. Perhaps, but with Maxwell. I don't think the
2:25
juice was worth the squeeze for the government or her,
2:27
and the government knew that they had to give a
2:31
hunk of meat to the people at this point, they
2:33
had no other choice. But for all of these years,
2:37
Jeffrey Epstein and his associates were protected, and they used
2:40
the precedent of that stupid ass non prosecution agreement as
2:44
the basis of that protection. I've said that was ridiculous
2:48
from Jump Street, and I'll continue to say that. Do
2:50
you really think if it was a mafioso who was
2:53
living in New York and you know, had a non
2:56
prosecution agreement in Florida, that that would stop the government
2:59
from going after him in New York. Of course it wouldn't.
3:02
But that mafioso doesn't have the same government ties that
3:06
Maxwell and Epstein does or did, so he can't rock
3:10
the boat as much. So let's go after him. And unfortunately,
3:15
that's just the way I see it. Maybe I'm being cynical,
3:19
but the federal government and these local governments, their behavior
3:24
has led me down this path. I didn't just wake
3:27
up one morning and say, ah, you know what, everybody
3:29
screwed up here? Article after article report after report, cataloging
3:37
all of the screw ups here, all of the irregular
3:40
irregularities here, and we're just gonna chalk it all up
3:45
to coincidence. Well, we're not gonna do that here on
3:49
this podcast. We'll save that for other people. Today, we
3:54
have an article from vox headline, the state of New
3:57
York protected Jeffrey Epstein not as serve. A Manhattan prosecutor
4:03
asked for Epstein to receive the lowest level sex offender
4:06
status and Epstein never checked in with New York City
4:10
police as required by law. Now, remember the Kalif Prouder story. Okay,
4:16
Khalif Prouder, sixteen years old, gets arrested for allegedly stealing
4:19
someone's backpack that he said he never stole, and this
4:23
kid ends up sitting on Riker's Island for what nine
4:25
hundred days or something. Meanwhile, Jeffrey Epstein is running a
4:29
human trafficking ring, molesting girls, raping girls, being involved in
4:34
money laundering, being involved in election finance rigging, you name it,
4:39
and he doesn't even have to check in with the police. Yeah,
4:44
there's equitable justice. This article was authored by Jane Coosten,
4:53
Secretary of labor Alexandra Acosta has faced criticism for making
4:57
a sweetheart deal with convicted sex offender Jeff Epstein that
5:01
cut a serious prison sentence on sex trafficking charges down
5:05
to just thirteen months in a private wing of a
5:08
Palm Beach jail. You know, pom Beach is a shithole, Folks,
5:11
breaking news if you didn't know that. Pom Beach is
5:14
a shithole and it's filled with a bunch of undesirable characters.
5:21
But he is not the only criminal justice official who
5:24
failed Epstein's survivors. A Costa held a press conference in
5:28
Washington Wednesday, aiming to defend himself from critics such as
5:32
HOW speaker Nancy Pelosi, who has called on him to
5:35
resign over his role in creating the deal. You know,
5:38
it's funny Nancy Pelosi had a lot to say when
5:41
she wanted a cost it or resign. It was a
5:44
big deal then, right, So it's not a big deal anymore.
5:47
Where's Nancy Pelosi coming out and defending these girls. So
5:51
defending these survivors and demanding justice. He claimed it was
5:58
the best outcome available at the time because jurys were
6:01
less sensitive to accusations of sexual assault in a pre
6:05
me too era, and also blamed local law enforcement officials. Well,
6:10
the pre me to era stuff, I don't buy that, Okay,
6:14
if you're a disgusting sick predator, you were getting nailed
6:16
as a disgusting sick predator. This wasn't a case that
6:20
he said, she said. This was the case of a
6:23
evidence a mountain high as high as Mount Everest, And
6:27
it was federal officials that didn't want to do anything.
6:30
They didn't have the willpower to do it. Not that
6:32
they didn't have the capability, they didn't have the willpower.
6:35
And to blame it on potential jurors is absolute garbagio.
6:43
But local officials, particularly particularly those in New York, do,
6:47
in fact have serious questions to answer about the handling
6:51
of Epstein's case. A New York prosecutor tried to keep
6:55
Epstein from being registered as a high level sex offender,
6:58
and the NYPD look their way when he didn't show
7:01
up to court mandated check ins required by his sex
7:04
offender status and did so for eight years. And then
7:08
you wonder why there was no chain of custody with
7:10
any of the evidence. You see what I mean, folks,
7:12
This is all a big ass joke to them. Meanwhile,
7:17
this shit has real life consequences for people, marginalized, people
7:22
who have been forgotten about, who have been pushed to
7:25
the side, and who have been trampled over year after year,
7:28
day after day by shitty ass prosecutors, elected officials, and
7:34
do nothing lawmen. The story of Jeffrey Epstein isn't about
7:43
Donald Trump or Bill Clinton. It's the story of a
7:46
wealthy serial sexual predator who got away with his crimes
7:49
for decades with the assistance of a bipartisan cadre of
7:53
powerful allies, including the offices that are supposed to prosecute
7:57
such crimes. Folks, I don't know how much times I
8:00
have to slam this one home. One thing that we
8:03
should all be aligned on is getting rid of Jeffrey
8:06
Epstein and a shitty criminal enterprise. Because both sides of
8:10
the aisle were providing him support, both sides of the
8:13
aisle were getting money from him, and both sides of
8:15
the aisle were rubbing shoulders with him, and both sides
8:19
of the aisle had ample chances to take him down
8:21
and neither of them did. So don't come at me
8:24
with any bullshit. Okay, the proof is in the pudding
8:28
and the gas lighting, the you know, the what about isms.
8:32
That shit dies on arrival on this podcast. I have
8:35
no time for it and no patience for it. Take
8:39
that what about ism and shove it, because guess what.
8:43
The whole entire political class, which there never should have
8:47
been a political class, by the way, is corrupt from
8:50
the top down. And the people that get out there
8:53
and they're all fired up about re electing these incumbents
8:56
who haven't made our lives better and in fact, have
8:58
just made the worse. I'll never run understand it, and
9:01
I will never let me be very clear, I will
9:03
never be bullied into voting for one side or the
9:06
other because, oh, you have to defend democracy. What sort
9:10
of BS tagline is that defend democracy? Defend it from?
9:15
Who can I get a full on accounting of who
9:18
I'm defending democracy from? Because to me, it looks like
9:20
democracy is being eroded from the top down. The Manhattan
9:28
District Attorney's Office tried to help Jeffrey Epstein based on
9:31
a mistaken interpretation. In twenty eleven, a prosecutor from the
9:36
Manhattan's District Attorney's Office made an extraordinary argument before the
9:40
Manhattan Supreme Court sharing a hearing over Epstein, who had
9:44
pleaded guilty to charges in Florida of procuring a person
9:47
under eighteen for prostitution and felony solicitation of prostitution in
9:52
two thousand and eight. Again, you cannot be a child
9:56
and be a prostitute. Children can't consent. As reported by
10:02
The New York Times, the prosecutor Jennifer Gaffney asked a
10:07
judge to reduce mister Epstein's sex offender status to the
10:10
lowest possible classification, which would have limited the personal information
10:15
available to the public and would have kept him from
10:18
being listed on a registry of sex offenders for life. Now,
10:22
why would Jennifer Gaffney argue for that? Anyone have any
10:28
quality reason why a prosecutor would be trying to argue
10:32
in favor of that, unless, of course, that prosecutor or
10:36
their office has ulterior motives. Justice Ruth Pickholtz denied the
10:44
request and expressed incredulity that the District Attorney's office would
10:48
argue in support of a man accused of sexually molesting
10:51
dozens of teenage girls in Florida. So why would the
10:55
New York Prosecutor's office argue in favor of this, and
10:58
let's remember this is the same office that showed a
11:01
whole bunch of love to guys like Harvey Weinstein. I
11:05
have to tell you, I'm a little overwhelmed because I
11:07
have never seen a prosecutor's office do anything like this,
11:11
the judge told Miss Gaffney. So once again, folks, look,
11:14
I'm not just pulling shit out of the air, right,
11:17
I'm not just making up reasons to be mad about
11:19
the behavior of the SDNY or the New York Prosecutor's Office.
11:24
There are legitimate criticisms here that need to be on display.
11:28
But your fourth estate, the legacy media, has failed you
11:32
once again and instead would rather set this up so
11:34
that you're all fighting with each other, even over Jeffrey
11:37
Epstein's crimes. That's their goal, have all of us fighting
11:41
with each other so we're not focused on the overall picture.
11:44
And I'll tell you what, I am not falling for it.
11:47
This effort was not just surprising, it directly contradicted the
11:50
New York Board of Examiners of Sex Offenders' evaluation of Epstein,
11:55
whom the board viewed as a high risk sex offender.
11:58
For his actions in Florida. Manhattan's District Attorney Cyrus Vance
12:02
said later that the request a lower Epstein's sex offender
12:05
status was a mistake, saying in a briefing that summer.
12:08
In reaching that conclusion, the people apparently relied on a
12:12
combination of a mistaken interpretation of the governing legal standards
12:17
and certain secondhand information about the Florida case. Such bullshit.
12:21
What happened was he got caught with his hand in
12:23
the cookie jar Cyrus Vance, and then he had to
12:25
make an excuse about it. Disgusting all the way around.
12:29
And you would think, again, all the time it takes
12:32
for all of these people with these stupid ass conspiracy
12:34
theory articles trying to paint people with brushes, you would
12:39
think they put some time into it and really looked
12:41
at what was going on, they'd understand that this wasn't
12:44
a conspiracy theory, that this was a criminal conspiracy. In fact,
12:49
Vance's office was under investigation last year by the state
12:52
of New York for his decision not to prosecute Harvey
12:55
Weinstein on allegations of sexual misconduct, despite a recording of
13:00
Weinstein admitting to groping a woman before that inquiry was paused,
13:04
and in twenty twelve, VANCE dropped an investigation into Ivanka
13:08
and Donald Trump Junior for allegedly misleading condo buyers, reportedly
13:13
after receiving a visit from Donald Trump's personal attorney Mark Kassowitz. Look,
13:19
we all know that Donald Trump had his hands deeply,
13:22
deeply in the real estate market, and we all know
13:26
about the corruption in the real estate market. That's why
13:29
when everybody was so gung ho and going after Donald
13:31
Trump as president, I said, you guys are missing the
13:34
mark going in the Russier route. There's nothing there. What
13:37
you should be doing is going after the financials that
13:39
have to do with all of the developments. Because if
13:42
you really want to catch a billionaire and you want
13:44
to make it stick, you'll go after financial crimes. That's
13:47
the only way to get these people. Folks, haven't you
13:50
been paying attention? Nothing else sticks, only financial crimes. As
13:56
a sex offender, Epstein was supposed to check in with
13:59
the NYPD, but he didn't. According to the New York
14:03
State Department of Criminal Justice Services, registered sex offenders have
14:07
several basic obligations, including report annually where they live by
14:11
signing and returning an annual verification form to DCJS within
14:17
ten days after receiving it. Notified DCJS and writing of
14:21
a new address no later than ten days after moving,
14:24
report in person to a local agency to have a
14:27
current photograph taken every three years. Level one to two
14:31
offenders or every year. Level three offenders notified DCJS and
14:37
writing of any institution of higher education they are attending, enrolled, living,
14:42
or employed. Any change in status must be reported to
14:45
DCJS no later than ten days after the change. Provide
14:50
in writing, Internet service providers, internet screen names, and email accounts.
14:55
Level three offenders and offenders with the sexual predator designation
14:59
must person only verify their addresses every ninety days with
15:03
law enforcement. Law enforcement may at that time photograph Level
15:07
three offenders if that offender's appearance has changed. But Epstein,
15:12
a Level three registered sex offender, didn't fulfill his obligation
15:15
under these rules, something that would result in normal offenders
15:19
being sent to prison. For example, he was supposed to
15:22
register his address in person every ninety days beginning in
15:25
twenty eleven, meaning that he should have reported his address
15:29
in person thirty four times. He never did so. Again,
15:35
is the problem out here? People bringing this shit up?
15:38
Or is the problem that this all happened and nobody
15:41
wants to really report on it. A report by the
15:47
New York Posts found that Epstein never checked in with
15:49
the NYPD and never verified his address as the low stipulates.
15:54
At the very least, his team certainly knew about this requirement.
15:58
At the same hearing where a Manhattan prosecute attempted to
16:00
get Epstein a sex offender's status lowered, Judge Pickholt said
16:04
point blank that Epstein would need to register in person
16:06
with law enforcement every ninety days. The NYPD cop assigned
16:11
to monitor Epstein has repeediately complained to Vance sex Crimes
16:15
Unit that Epstein wasn't in compliance, according to a source
16:19
familiar with the matter, but prosecutors told the cop to
16:23
merely send Epstein a letter reminding him of his reporting requirement.
16:27
Now would that happen for anybody else? And it just
16:30
again shines a spotlight that the rank and file, for
16:33
the most part, want to do the right thing, meaning
16:35
the police, meaning the FBI, But their bosses are the problem.
16:40
Guys like Cyrus Vance and these unelected bureaucrats that get
16:44
in the way. Instead of registering every ninety days, as
16:50
a Level three sex offender. Epstein attended movie premieres and
16:53
hosted dinner parties for the rich and famous, all the
16:56
while allegedly building a home treasure trove of pornograph material
17:00
featuring very young women with CDs bearing handwritten labels like
17:04
Miscellaneous Nudes won and Girl Picks Nudes. And the entities
17:09
tasked with protecting the public from Epstein did nothing. So
17:15
that's Vox saying it, not Fox News. This isn't you know,
17:19
coming from Breitbart or good old Tucker Carlson. This is
17:25
a problem, folks, and it needs to be addressed. This
17:27
is the real problem. You want to talk about, issues,
17:30
you want to talk about, Jeffrey Epstein. The real problem
17:33
is that we were felled at every step of the
17:36
way by the federal government, by state governments, and by
17:39
local governments, and none of them have been forced to
17:44
take accountability for what has happened. Each and every time
17:47
their behavior has been glossed over by the court, has
17:50
been glossed over by a prosecutor, and it's all been good.
17:53
Well guess what. Nothing about this case is good and
17:56
everything about it is garbage. And the way it was prosecuted,
18:00
it has been garbage since day one and it still
18:03
hasn't changed. So if you're wondering why I'm so critical
18:09
of all of the bodies who were involved in this,
18:11
meaning at the top of the food chain, here's another
18:15
example to why. If you'd like to contact me, you
18:19
can do that at Bobby Kapuci at ProtonMail dot com.
18:23
That's Bo Bby c ap u Cci at ProtonMail dot com.
18:28
You can also find me on Twitter at Bobby Underscore
18:33

18:37
found in the description box. What's up everyone, and welcome
18:41
back to the Epstein chronicles. When I talk about these
18:47
law enforcement agencies and the fact that they knew what
18:49
Jeffrey Epstein was and what he was doing, it's because
18:53
there is a ton of evidence that points us in
18:56
that direction. There is article after article, court document after
19:01
court document that states that everybody was aware of what
19:05
was going on, and while people in society can get
19:09
away with the whole Oh, I had no idea. If
19:13
you worked for the DA's office or the Prosecutor's office
19:17
for the State of New York and you let this
19:19
go on for all of these years, what does that
19:22
say about you? And especially considering if we look at
19:25
the overall scope of what was going on as far
19:29
as predators right under their noses. You had Weinstein, you
19:33
had Jeffrey Epstein, so many different people that were able
19:36
to just operate for years, and the DA's office, Cy
19:41
Vance and his friends act like they had no idea.
19:45
It defies logic, it defies reason, and frankly, I just
19:50
don't believe it. If we didn't have all of the
19:53
evidence to the contrary, I'd be more inclined to listen
19:56
to what these folks had to say. But we know
19:59
that all this evidence has been provided. We have court document.
20:03
I mean, we have ream after ream of evidence in
20:07
this case. And when you go through it all and
20:10
you put it all together, the picture that it paints
20:13
is not one that is very impressive from the point
20:16
of law enforcement. There's no other way to say it.
20:19
There's no way to sugarcoat that. And frankly, folks, none
20:23
of these people are above reproach. If you were hired
20:27
or you were elected to do a job and you
20:30
do not do that job, you are a failure. There's
20:35
no oh, this one was in my way or that
20:37
one was in my way. You have been elected you
20:39
have been put in a position because people believe that
20:42
you can help, that you can change things, and if
20:45
you don't do that, you're a failure. And the prosecutors
20:50
in all of these districts where Jeffrey Epstein was active
20:53
for all of these years, I'll just come out and
20:55
say it, since nobody else wants to, they all failed.
20:59
They all think these survivors they failed their communities and
21:04
they failed the nation overall. You don't think this is
21:08
a big black eye for the whole country when you
21:10
have all of these so called elite involved in something
21:13
like this. But we all know that the best way
21:20
to get to the bottom of something, the best way
21:23
to disinfect something is to shine a whole bunch of
21:28
sunshine on it. And that's what we're gonna keep doing.
21:31
We're gonna keep talking about all of these people that
21:33
sugarcoated what happened. We're gonna keep talking about all of
21:36
these people who pull the curtains down, and we're gonna
21:39
keep challenging these false narratives that keep popping up. Today,
21:45
we have an article from the New York Post. This
21:48
article was originally published on April eleventh of two thousand
21:52
and nineteen. The authors of this article are Susan Edelman
21:57
and Rebecca Rosenberg. The Manhattan DA's office had graphic and
22:04
detailed evidence of pedophile billionaire Jeffrey Epstein's depravity when a
22:08
prosecutor inexplicitly argued for leniency during his twenty eleven sex
22:14
offender registry hearing. The Post has learned now they said
22:18
in the aftermath of this that it was a mistake
22:21
by their prosecutor to make this argument, which I find
22:24
to be absolutely ridiculous. You need to tell me that
22:28
your prosecutor had no idea what they were doing. And furthermore,
22:32
if that's the case, why wasn't dishandled by a more
22:35
senior prosecutor. Isn't this a serious matter, a very important
22:40
matter that should have been handled by Cyvance himself, But
22:45
we never saw that. We never saw them take the
22:47
time to really dig in here and ask yourself why
22:50
that is. Well, when you're talking about somebody who's rubbing
22:54
shoulders with the so called elete, breaking bread with all
22:57
the Cyvance's donors and shit, you tell me how there's
23:02
not going to be a pressure campaign to keep Epstein
23:05
out of trouble. And then the audacity to get up
23:08
there and argue that this isn't a violent, disgusting offender,
23:12
a level three offender, and try and argue that he's
23:14
a level one offender is just beyond the pal for me.
23:18
And there's no amount of apologizing or coming in to
23:21
clean up the spilled milk that's going to fix it.
23:24
The damage has already been done. And the sad part
23:28
is there has been no repercussions for anybody who has
23:32
been involved in this. In advance of the hearing, then
23:36
Deputy Chief of Sex Crimes Jennifer Gaffney had been given
23:40
a confidential state assessment that deemed Epstein to be highly
23:44
dangerous and highly likely to keep praying on young girls,
23:48
the DA's office admitted in its own appellate brief eight
23:51
months after the hearing. So you have access to all
23:55
of these files, You have access to all of this information.
23:59
I don't want to hear oh I made a mistake.
24:03
You're not the saleslady at Nordstrom who gave me the
24:05
wrong you know size pair of pants. You are a
24:10
prosecutor prosecuting crimes against children. You can't be wrong, and
24:16
if you are wrong, you need to rectify at a
24:18
sat or own up to it. But that's the biggest
24:20
problem I have here, folks, Right, these people never own
24:23
up to it. If they make a mistake, they do
24:25
something untowards it gets swept under the rug and it
24:28
gets buried in investigations. So how are we ever going
24:32
to fix anything? How are we ever supposed to hold
24:35
these people to the level that we should hold them
24:38
if their superiors are always protecting them and sweeping this
24:41
shit under the rug. The brief has been sealed since
24:47
twenty eleven, but The Post obtained it Thursday after suing
24:51
to get it unsealed. So the New York Post has
24:54
done a really good job as far as covering this stuff,
24:58
and they're one of the few publications that have been
25:01
on this for quite some time now. I've been very
25:04
critical of the New York Times of the Washington Post,
25:07
and I'll remain critical of those outlets. I feel like
25:11
they've lost their way and they're more in the business
25:14
of dividing than they are in the business of educating
25:17
at this point, or at least opening the door for
25:20
you to walk through to educate yourself, because really that's
25:23
what it should be, right You hear about these news
25:26
stories that the news is telling you about all the
25:29
different things happening around the world, you get interested in it.
25:33
Now you have the ability to research this stuff yourself,
25:36
take a look at a bunch of different outlets, and
25:38
that's what the media should be. But instead, what they
25:41
try and do is they try and educate you. And
25:45
I'm using air quotes here. Basically they try and indoctrinate you. Right,
25:49
if you don't believe this way, well you're you're against democracy,
25:53
or if you believe this way, then you're a communist,
25:56
or whatever they might try and do. The reality is
25:58
this they shouldn't be doing it. Their job is to
26:01
tell you the news, not to tell you how to think.
26:07
It describes the state's assessment finding that Epstein should be
26:11
monitored in New York as a Level three offender, reserved
26:15
for the most dangerous. That is exactly what he was,
26:18
the most dangerous of sex offenders, because remember, his proclivity
26:22
has never stopped this guy. What do you think he
26:25
just woke up one morning and said, that's it. I
26:27
don't want underage girls anymore. When you're sick like this,
26:30
you're wired wrong. And Jeffrey Epstein is the epitome of
26:36
all of it. In making its assessment, the New York
26:40
State Board of Examiners of Sex Offenders evaluated the sworn,
26:44
corroborated accounts of numerous young girls who had been lured
26:48
into Epstein's Palm Beach, Florida compound in two thousand and
26:52
five and two thousand and six. It's disgusting that they
26:55
would even have to go to Florida to look at this.
26:57
Why didn't you have your own case going on in
27:00
New York City. We know that he was using fertile
27:02
hunting grounds right to look for new biles. Their words,
27:06
not mine, So why are you going down to Florida
27:10
when your own backyard is covered in manure? Girls age
27:18
fourteen to seventeen were also recruited and paid two hundred
27:21
to one thousand dollars to give Epstein erotic massages that
27:25
included sexual contact, intercourse, and rape. Palm Beach cops found
27:30
Epstein pleaded guilty in Palm Beach to abusing just one
27:33
of these young victims, and was required to register as
27:37
a sex offender in New York since he had an
27:39
Upper East Side home. But when you know people and
27:43
then you have people like Cyvance running the DA's office
27:47
in New York. You're gonna get treated differently, and that's
27:50
just how it is. Manhattan prosecutors were aware the State
27:57
Board had assigned Epstein a risk assessment of one, a
28:01
number that is solidly above the one ten qualifying number
28:05
for Level three, with absolutely no basis for downward departure,
28:09
the brief notes. Nevertheless, Gaffney argued that he should be
28:14
labeled to Level one offender, the least restrictive, which would
28:18
have kept him off the online database. You mean to
28:20
tell me that Jeffrey Epstein shouldn't be on the online database.
28:25
You know when you go on there and you search
28:27
for diddlers. You mean to tell me Epstein shouldn't be
28:31
in that database. If you look at diddler in the dictionary,
28:35
there's a picture of Jeffrey Epstein. So yeah, he should
28:37
be in the database, Miss Gaffney. Manhattan Supreme Court Justice
28:44
Ruth Pickholtz sided with the Board and against Gaffney in
28:48
designating designating Epstein a Level three offender. Epstein appealed, and
28:53
the DA's change of heart brief, agreeing that Epstein deserve
28:57
the highest level of monitoring, was filed and opposite position
29:00
to that appeal. So if it wasn't for this judge,
29:04
Judge Ruth Pickholes, Epstein would have been a Level one
29:08
offender in New York City. Think about that for a minute,
29:10
and then you tell me that I'm off base here.
29:17
The Appellate Division ultimately upheld that Epstein be monitored as
29:21
a Level three offender. Andy remains on the registry. But
29:24
he never checked in, He never had to check in.
29:27
He never did anything that he was supposed to do.
29:29
None of those stipulations were met. Our prosecutor made a mistake.
29:34
Danny Frost, a spokesman for DA Cyrus Vance Junior, told
29:38
the Post in December when NWS broke that Epstein's Sweetheart
29:42
Palm Beach deal had buried evidence he had allegedly abused
29:45
some eighty girls and young women. Reach late Thursday, Frost
29:49
declined to say who above Gaffney might have approved her
29:52
a decision to go easy on Epstein. Vance's office has
29:56
insisted that he was unaware of the sex Offender Registry
29:59
hearing at the time. Nobody knew, Okay, the office didn't know,
30:03
the boss didn't know, and just like a costa, Gaffney
30:07
was out here acting rogue. She went off on her
30:09
own and decided to do this. Does anyone really believe
30:13
that Gaffney could not immediately be reached for comment. Yeah,
30:18
I don't doubt it. Probably not a good look for
30:21
miss Gaffney here. But once again, folks, it goes to
30:24
show you the way that this was handled was straight
30:27
up garbage. And all of these prosecutors who want to
30:30
get on Twitter and in different places and talk about
30:32
how great their offices were and how much of a
30:35
great job they did. Well, if you were in any
30:37
of these districts while Jeffrey Epstein was active and your
30:41
office is arguing for him to be a level one
30:44
offender and not level three, you, my friend Enngerk and
30:49
Patriots have all failed. And when we're talking about cy
30:53
Vance and we're talking about the pursuit of disgusting sexual crimes,
30:58
in my opinion, they failed miserably. All Right, folks, that's
31:05
gonna do it for this episode. If you would like

31:30
Welcome back to the Epstein Chronicles. As we have all
31:36
found out in the years since Jeffrey Epstein first popped
31:40
up on the radar, the whole entire investigation into them
31:44
from day one has been complete garbage. And in today's article,
31:48
we're gonna talk about that once again, and how the
31:51
Florida Fed's new of New York victim in Epstein's indictment
31:55
eleven years earlier. But of course down in Florida, they
32:00
couldn't be bothered to really throw the book at this guy.
32:03
In fact, they had to bend over backwards to make
32:05
sure he had a great life. Still, so let's just
32:08
dive right into this article from ABC News and let's
32:12
see what's up. This article was originally published on February
32:17
twentieth of twenty twenty, headline exclusive Florida Feds knew of
32:24
New York victim and Epstein indictment eleven years earlier, before
32:29
her testimony could be secured. Epstein cemented a controversial deal.
32:33
I know, it's just a coincidence, right, has nothing to
32:36
do with the fact that Epstein had some of the
32:38
most high profile lawyers in the world. Had nothing to
32:41
do with the fact that prosecutors jump Ship left the
32:44
prosecutor's office to go work for Epstein in the middle
32:47
of the trial. Had nothing to do with that. Huh.
32:49
He's just one of the luckiest guys ever and he
32:51
had the greatest legal minds to ever walk the earth
32:54
working for him. Is that what you want me to believe,
32:57
because I don't. Okay, the whole entire thing was trash
33:01
from day one, and the fact that the prosecution down
33:04
in Florida let this dude steamroll them the way he did,
33:09
it's an utter embarrassment and you would think that the
33:12
state of Florida would want to fix that, but so
33:14
far we haven't seen any movement towards that direction. A
33:19
woman whose allegations of childhood sex abuse in New York
33:23
were central to last year's indictment of Jeffrey Epstein, was
33:26
questioned by the FBI and subpoena for testimony by federal
33:31
prosecutors in Florida more than a decade ago in connection
33:35
with his first federal investigation into Epstein's alleged child sex trafficking.
33:40
According to court documents and multiple sources familiar with the events.
33:46
But the woman, who was nineteen at the time of
33:48
our initial contact with federal agents in two thousand and eight,
33:52
did not appear before a grand jury in West Palm
33:55
Beach as the subpoena commanded, and only one person in
33:59
fact ended up appearing in front of that grand jury,
34:02
and they absolutely destroyed the witness who did appear. Oh,
34:06
she was on MySpace, she was drinking, she was partying,
34:10
and she even kissed a boy. That sort of shit.
34:16
Before her testimony could be secured, Epstein cemented a controversial
34:20
and one secret non prosecution agreement with the US Attorney's
34:24
office in Miami by pleading guilty to two state prostitution charges,
34:29
for which he was sentenced to eighteen months in a
34:31
county jail. Now, look, first of all, there should never
34:35
be something called a secret agreement between the government and
34:39
any citizen. We have a right to see that. What
34:42
does that even mean, a secret agreement. We're talking about
34:45
a Level three sex offender here, and you're engaging in
34:48
secret agreements. Yeah, okay, that sounds like a good idea.
34:54
The woman's account could have helped prosecutors strengthen an already
34:57
expansive case against Epstein by potential unraveling an alleged network
35:02
of child sexual abuse at his Manhattan residence, that myriad
35:06
what had been uncovered at his home in Palm Beach.
35:10
But with the deal done, the federal grand jury was suspended,
35:13
the investigation halted, and the subpoena to the woman ultimately withdrawn,
35:18
so she never even got to tell her story. And
35:21
then fast forward to future and it was her allegations
35:25
that led to this. So what was going on down
35:28
in Florida? Why were they so against having people come
35:33
forward and tell about what they know in front of
35:36
this grand jury? Why has that been such an issue
35:39
down here in Florida from the very beginning? What are
35:42
they so scared of? And why did Jeffrey Epstein's lawyers
35:45
get to massage the situation into such a favorable one
35:49
for him? Nobody has ever answered that question, Okay, and
35:54
until somebody does, we're going to continue to bring these
35:57
articles up and drop these breadcrumbs for you to follow
36:01
so you can see just how much of a disaster
36:04
this all was. And the galling part, folks, is what
36:08
has been done to change it so it doesn't happen again. Nothing,
36:12
not a thing. I certainly think that with the FBI's
36:18
capabilities even back then, they could have unraveled the entire
36:22
network from New York to Paris to New Mexico, said
36:25
Spencer Coven, a West Palm Beach attorney who represented three
36:29
of Epstein's survivors during the original federal investigation in Florida.
36:34
The potential was always there. The government shut this thing
36:37
down and pled this thing out before going through and
36:40
talking to probably more than half the women who were
36:43
involved in this whole thing. Had they conducted a full
36:46
investigation and taken their time, this would have been a
36:50
whole different story. And I don't think he's wrong. They
36:55
didn't do this investigation correctly from the very beginning, and
36:58
that's why it's so enraging. It's not like they made
37:01
one misstep and they were like, you know what, we
37:03
have to fix this. It was misstep after misstep after
37:06
misstep that all went in the favor of a disgusting pedophile.
37:15
It wasn't until nearly eleven years later, when federal prosecutors
37:19
in New York quietly opened a new investigation into Epstein,
37:23
that the woman was again contacted by authorities seeking details
37:27
of her alleged years of sexual abuse by the multi
37:30
millionaire pedophile identified in last year's indictments as Minor Victim
37:35
number one. She is the only alleged victim from New
37:38
York whose allegations are specifically detailed in the charges, a
37:42
strong indicator of her importance to the investigation. Now, keep
37:46
in mind, in Florida, they decided they didn't want to
37:48
hear from her, but yet her strong allegations were the
37:52
ones that really backboned this whole entire second prosecution of
37:56
Jeffrey Epstein. According to the allegation contained in the indictment,
38:01
the woman claimed she was initially recruited in two thousand
38:04
and two, at age fourteen to provide massages to Epstein
38:08
at his palatial Manhattan townhouse, and she ultimately suffered sexual
38:12
abuse that escalated over a period of years. Epstein allegedly
38:18
enlisted one or more of his employees to schedule appointments
38:22
with the girl, and also encouraged, enticed, and paid the teenager,
38:26
whose family was in dire financial straits, to bring other
38:29
young girls to engage in sex acts with them. Now,
38:33
this is a story we have heard from the very
38:35
beginning here. And this is a story that the prosecutors
38:38
were hearing and the police from the very start. Yet
38:43
they shrugged their shoulders and decided to give this guy
38:46
a plea deal instead. The woman, now thirty one, filed
38:52
a civil lawsuit against Epstein's estate following his arrest and
38:55
his death by apparent suicide in a federal detention center
38:59
last August, alleging that Epstein's abuse has forever scarred her
39:04
and altered her life. The lawsuit, filed under a pseudonym,
39:07
makes no mention of her prior contact with federal authorities,
39:11
but it does lay out in harrowing detail the breath
39:14
of the abuse she allegedly endured. As a vulnerable young girl.
39:20
Her experience with Epstein fit within what is known to
39:24
have been a common pattern for the abuser. The complaint
39:26
said he would find vulnerable young girls who needed money
39:30
and slowly test their boundaries, first asking them to remove
39:34
their own clothing and massage him, and then over time
39:38
he would escalate his conduct, touching them in ways that
39:41
would become more invasive, violent, and painful. As these children
39:45
grew to relie financially on Epstein, he would only cause
39:48
them more and more harm. And that's how this works.
39:51
Once you get somebody locked in, and you have somebody
39:54
who is dependent on you, and you have them groomed
39:57
to think that what's going on is the norm, then
40:01
there's really nothing that you can't get them to do.
40:04
And when you're talking about opulence like Epstein had, how
40:07
far of a stretch is it to think that a thirteen, fourteen,
40:10
fifteen year old girl would be wowed by that, awed
40:13
by that, and want to do whatever somebody like Epstein
40:16
wanted them to do because it was normalized by the
40:19
other adults that were already at the house. An attorney
40:25
representing the woman, whose identity is known to ABC News
40:29
but is being withheld to protect her privacy, declined to
40:32
comment for this report. A spokesperson for the US Attorney's
40:35
Office in the Southern District of New York also declined
40:39
to comment. Marie Villafauna, the former federal prosecutor in Florida
40:44
who led the US Attorney's Office investigation of Epstein and
40:48
prepared a draft fifty three page indictment against them, is
40:51
said to be heartbroken over the outcome of the initial investigation.
40:55
According to sources familiar with the investigation. She also declined
40:59
to comment, but her attorney, Ty Kelly, issued this statement
41:03
on her behalf. Now, look, I've never been a fan
41:06
of Marie Villa Fauna and the fact that she tried
41:09
to sugarcoat her involvement here. If you really wanted to
41:12
be somebody who's a trailblazer, somebody who shows that they cared,
41:16
then you would have put it all on the line.
41:18
That means your job, your career, all of it. But
41:21
none of these people did that. They just went along
41:23
to get along, including mister slinky spine bitch ass Alexander Acosta.
41:28
By the way, because the Department of Justice has declined
41:33
the wave privilege over the Epstein matter, miss Villa Fauna
41:36
is prohibited from discussing this matter and her opinions on
41:39
the outcome in greater detail. The statement reads, if the
41:43
Department were to wave of the privilege, she believes it
41:46
would provide a fuller and more accurate picture of how
41:49
she handled this matter and how she advocated for victims
41:52
at every turn. So again they use the shout of secrecy,
41:57
and the shield of that is that, oh, we have
41:59
the epste Stein investigation still ongoing. Well, can we get
42:02
some arrests, then are we going to see some movement?
42:08
The FBI agent's first visit with the woman in New
42:10
York in the early spring of two thousand and eight
42:13
came out a particularly sensitive time in the federal investigation,
42:16
which was being overseen by our Alexander Acosta, then the
42:20
US Attorney in the Southern District of Florida. Several months earlier,
42:25
in September of two thousand and seven, Epstein had signed
42:28
a deal with a Costa's office which would shelf a
42:32
potential federal indictment for multiple child sex crimes that had
42:36
been under investigation by the FBI and the Costa's prosecutors
42:41
for more than a year. Now we know that it
42:43
wasn't a Costa who did this on his own, just
42:45
to reiterate that. In exchange, Epstein agreed to plead guilty
42:52
to two comparatively minor prostitution charges in a Florida state court,
42:57
register as a sex offender, and pay a restitution to
43:00
dozens of alleged victims of his abuse in Florida. No
43:04
alleged anymore, right, and they're not victims, they're now survivors.
43:08
It's just downright unjust said Sonny Houston, a former federal
43:12
prosecutor and senior legal correspondent and analyst for ABC News,
43:17
the deal does not match the significance of the evidence
43:20
in the case. It does not, and anyone who thinks
43:23
it does is smoking mushrooms for breakfast. Under the terms
43:30
of the agreement, Epstein was required to use the best
43:33
efforts to enter his guilty plea and be sentenced not
43:36
later than October twenty sixth of two thousand and seven,
43:40
but not long after the ink was dry on the agreement,
43:43
Disputes arose between Epstein's legal team and the prosecutors over
43:48
the interpretation of the restitution clauses in the deal, resulting
43:52
in months long delay and finalizing the terms. According to
43:55
court records, in a lawsuit against the Justice Department by
43:58
survivors who challenged the agreement, it's so sad that these
44:02
survivors would even have to bring a lawsuit against the
44:05
Department of Justice. I mean, for real, if anybody should
44:09
be doing their job when it comes to sexual assault,
44:11
you would think it would be the Justice Department, But
44:14
I guess not. After an amended deal was agreed upon
44:19
in December of two thousand and seven, Epstein was granted
44:22
even more time for his legal team to appeal to
44:24
higher levels of the Justice Department in Washington, d C.
44:28
Challenging the premise of the federal investigation and certain aspects
44:32
of the non prosecution agreement. In court filings responding to
44:37
the victim's lawsuit against the Justice Department in twenty seventeen,
44:42
Villafana wrote that after the signing of the agreement, Epstein
44:45
made several attempts to avoid having to perform the obligations
44:49
he had undertaken, and as a result, her office continued
44:54
to proceed as though a trial of Epstein was still
44:57
a possibility. The investigation continu up until the day that
45:01
Epstein entered his state court guilty plea. Villafana wrote, Yeah, well,
45:06
nothing came of it, though, did it. You can have
45:08
your investigation all you want, but what did it turn into? Bupkiss.
45:13
It was during that period of delay and uncertainty that
45:16
the FBI paid its visits to the young woman in
45:18
New York. It's not clear what she said to the agents,
45:22
but after the meeting, she placed a call to an
45:24
associate of Epstein looking for guidance on how to proceed.
45:28
According to sources, familiar with the situation, and Epstein then
45:33
provided an attorney to represent the woman in discussions with
45:37
federal prosecutors who were pressing for her testimony before grand jury. Huh,
45:42
I wonder who that attorney was. We'll have to look
45:44
into that a little bit more, but I have a
45:46
few guesses. As the date of a potential grand jury
45:52
appearance for the woman approached. With all of his appeals
45:55
to the Justice Department having been turned away, Epstein scheduled
45:58
a hearing in Palm Beach and finally entered the required
46:02
guilty plea on June thirtieth of two thousand and eight,
46:06
nine months after signing the deal with the federal government.
46:10
No one can say for sure whether the prospect of
46:12
this woman testifying was a factor in the timing of
46:15
Epstein's plea, or know with certainty what would have happened
46:19
if she had testified. But she is yet another young
46:22
woman who suffered in silence while Epstein walked free. And
46:26
that's really the whole entire story is in it all
46:29
of these poor women who had to get abused and
46:32
treated like this by this guy, had to sit there
46:35
and watch him live this life of opulence while their
46:38
lives were in ruins. She never received the high school education.
46:44
She suffers from post traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, and depression.
46:49
Her complaints says her severe emotional injuries manifest in a
46:53
myriad of ways. She often finds herself crying. She is
46:56
unable to form healthy emotional relationships with men. She often
47:00
cannot sleep through the night or fall asleep at all.
47:03
She has panic attacks, and she is constantly afraid of
47:07
her young for her young daughter. You know, folks, it
47:10
just again solidifies the fact for me anyway, that this
47:14
whole entire process has been straight garbage, and the way
47:17
they went about it, not only was it illegal according
47:22
to a judge, but it was completely wrong. And the
47:26
fact that there's been nobody held responsible for all of
47:28
this is just mind blowing to me. So we'll continue
47:34
to hammer this point home and will continue to add
47:36
articles like this to the catalog so you can get
47:39
a full picture of what's going on here. All right, folks,
