- 0:00Speaker 1: It's 38 all. Bills can win it here. Wright puts
- 0:03Speaker 1: it down. The kick is on the way and it
- 0:05Speaker 1: is good. And the Bills have won it. The Bills
- 0:10Speaker 1: have won it. The Bills have won it. They win
- 0:14Speaker 1: it 41 to 38. Incredible. What a comeback by the Bills.
- 0:18Speaker 1: Jacksonville's perfect record on the line right here. Looney, keep it.
- 0:29Speaker 1: Left side, touchdown. Kyle Williams, touchdown. Amazing. Unbelievable. They put
- 0:53Speaker 1: in Williams. Has to pull back. And he scores a touchdown.
- 0:58Speaker 1: The 12th year defensive tackle. This place is pandemonium. That's good, folks.
- 1:16Speaker 1: What's good, folks, family, friends, loved ones, enemies, frenemies, wizards, witches, muggles, mudbloods,

- 1:49Speaker 1: T went live here at first felt like there was
- 1:54Speaker 1: a lag or glitch in the, in, in the episode start.
- 1:58Speaker 1: Wasn't sure if we had started, didn't hear the intro playing.
- 2:01Speaker 1: Then I heard the intro play and then I did
- 2:03Speaker 1: my intro and I'm kind of just feeling like stream
- 2:05Speaker 1: yard is not ready for how good Skylar Bell looked tonight.
- 2:10Speaker 1: And maybe it was just shutting down. the stream in
- 2:14Speaker 1: the system because StreamYard doesn't have the bandwidth to process
- 2:18Speaker 1: the Bills 3-0 preseason performance and all the conversation that
- 2:22Speaker 1: will come regarding Skyler Bell and his performance tonight. But
- 2:26Speaker 1: on a serious note, we will be diving into the
- 2:30Speaker 1: Buffalo Bills preseason finale against the Pittsburgh Steelers here in
- 2:34Speaker 1: the 2026 preseason. Standout performers, some notes, thoughts, Questions, comments, concerns,
- 2:42Speaker 1: anything and everything, as we do on this show, especially

- 3:04Speaker 1: breadcrumbs that you've potentially been picking up, anything you're excited about,
- 3:07Speaker 1: worried about, anything and everything you've got, let's make this
- 3:09Speaker 1: episode as engaging and back and forth as possible. So
- 3:13Speaker 1: anything you folks have on your mind, feel free to
- 3:14Speaker 1: put it up into the chat. As always, Super Chats
- 3:17Speaker 1: get priority because I respect the monetary donation and the
- 3:20Speaker 1: color distracts me from my notes and brings me back
- 3:24Speaker 1: to everything in the chat and everything that's going on.
- 3:27Speaker 1: Let's start with, I think, the lowest hanging of fruit
- 3:31Speaker 1: in this episode. Skylar Bell, as Shell comes in and
- 3:37Speaker 1: says Skylar Bell, that's all. Yeah, I think Skylar Bell
- 3:41Speaker 1: looked good tonight. I still think, for me, I'm still,
- 3:45Speaker 1: there's a lot, I'm moving around too much. I'm moving
- 3:47Speaker 1: the camera out of focus. I think for me with
- 3:50Speaker 1: Skylar Bell and with, I think, the preseason in general, right,
- 3:52Speaker 1: there is some tempering of expectations still. But it was
- 3:56Speaker 1: nice to see the Bills purposefully feed him the ball
- 4:00Speaker 1: in a multitude of ways. getting him on the move,
- 4:03Speaker 1: letting him use that long speed, the manufactured touch on
- 4:06Speaker 1: the touchdown, the under center play action and the crossers
- 4:10Speaker 1: to allow him to find space. The first target towards him,
- 4:14Speaker 1: I think it was the first one, the one that
- 4:15Speaker 1: Buchel sailed over Skyler Bell when he was open. They're
- 4:21Speaker 1: just trying to kind of create traffic with those crossers,
- 4:23Speaker 1: but Bell sets it up really nice. He hits his
- 4:25Speaker 1: landmark shot. in terms of his depth of where he
- 4:28Speaker 1: should kind of break that crosser and kind of literally
- 4:30Speaker 1: stop going on a 45 degree angle and break him
- 4:33Speaker 1: more across field. And he sets it up to kind
- 4:35Speaker 1: of run interference on his man and create that obstruction
- 4:38Speaker 1: ball sails over him. But that was a nice play
- 4:41Speaker 1: right there. I thought he had some nice separation with
- 4:45Speaker 1: physicality at the top of the route on the catch
- 4:47Speaker 1: right before he got the jet sweep for the touchdown.
- 4:51Speaker 1: Then there's the, I mean, If he would have come
- 4:54Speaker 1: down on that play, I think it was the third
- 4:55Speaker 1: down where he goes up and tries to get it.
- 4:57Speaker 1: The DB punches through the hands and rips the ball out.
- 5:01Speaker 1: I think that would have just sent everybody into an
- 5:03Speaker 1: absolute frenzy. But a really good performance from Skyler Bell
- 5:07Speaker 1: in essentially what was his only preseason action. Not a
- 5:10Speaker 1: ton of offseason action for Skyler Bell, as we know.
- 5:13Speaker 1: Banged up during... mini camp and the off season as
- 5:17Speaker 1: a whole, not a ton of action in training camp
- 5:19Speaker 1: that he's playing in training camp. He's got some drops,
- 5:22Speaker 1: kind of just whatever hasn't played in the preseason. And
- 5:26Speaker 1: he plays tonight, gets a ton of work, gets a
- 5:28Speaker 1: ton of targets. You can see that there was a
- 5:30Speaker 1: focused effort to get him the ball as they should. Right.
- 5:33Speaker 1: You know, I think kind of seeing what you got,
- 5:35Speaker 1: is he ready to kind of be on the roster now?
- 5:37Speaker 1: What can he be? But again, you know, you're playing
- 5:40Speaker 1: against bottom of the depth chart guys for the Steelers.
- 5:42Speaker 1: You're playing with bottom of the depth chart guys for yourself.
- 5:44Speaker 1: But you still want to see him go and put
- 5:46Speaker 1: a good foot forward or his best foot forward. He
- 5:49Speaker 1: looked good tonight. I said it on social earlier. It
- 5:52Speaker 1: would be awesome if he had punt return or kick
- 5:56Speaker 1: return value in some way, shape, or form as the
- 5:59Speaker 1: returner with that long speed. This is a phenomenal comment
- 6:02Speaker 1: from Lauren who says, I got a fever and the
- 6:04Speaker 1: only prescription is more Skylar Bell. I like that. Long
- 6:07Speaker 1: held thoughts at Skylar Bell. dot, dot, dot. That's the
- 6:10Speaker 1: whole comment. It's Skylar Bell. And maybe it was just
- 6:12Speaker 1: the Steelers, four stringers, et cetera, but he looked like
- 6:14Speaker 1: the best player on the field. He's a fast guy.
- 6:18Speaker 1: The bills put him in situations to be fast. Um,
- 6:20Speaker 1: and again, I liked, I liked the nuance early when
- 6:23Speaker 1: he set up, uh, his man on the crosser and
- 6:27Speaker 1: created some space for himself on the one that we
- 6:28Speaker 1: shall sail, but you know, such as life, um, Would
- 6:31Speaker 1: have been awesome if he came down with that contested
- 6:33Speaker 1: catch later in the game, but several really good catches,
- 6:37Speaker 1: some good plays, some decent routes there, a touchdown. Nice
- 6:41Speaker 1: performance from Skyler Bell and a good debut. I think
- 6:43Speaker 1: there's been a lot of hype around him in terms
- 6:49Speaker 1: of what he can be. We'll see what the ceiling is.
- 6:53Speaker 1: Even with the wide receiver room for the Bills this year,
- 6:57Speaker 1: it's still going to be tough for whoever was going
- 7:00Speaker 1: to be the wide receiver five, wide receiver six, whatever
- 7:02Speaker 1: it is, to kind of crack the touches market for
- 7:07Speaker 1: wide receivers. We know what DJ Moore is going to get.
- 7:09Speaker 1: We know what Khalil Shakir is going to get. Keyon
- 7:11Speaker 1: Coleman has looked good, and he also has the ability
- 7:13Speaker 1: to block and kind of, in an ideal world with
- 7:16Speaker 1: his size and frame, occupy the Matt Collins and Tyrell
- 7:18Speaker 1: Shavers role on duo and be able to insert and
- 7:22Speaker 1: be a viable blocker in the run game, which... may
- 7:25Speaker 1: be unsexy for a lot of folks, but that does
- 7:27Speaker 1: matter to this, to Bill's team and matters at the
- 7:29Speaker 1: wide receiver position. It matters for a lot of teams
- 7:31Speaker 1: across the NFL as a whole. Then you've got Josh
- 7:33Speaker 1: Palmer is a wide receiver force. And then you're looking
- 7:35Speaker 1: at wide receiver five and kind of seeing what was
- 7:38Speaker 1: going to happen. And I thought Trent Shurfield looked good
- 7:41Speaker 1: throughout the preseason. Dante Pettis has had some sneaky, good opportunities.
- 7:45Speaker 1: The two point conversion tonight. I'm really excited to go
- 7:48Speaker 1: back and watch it on film. That whip route for
- 7:52Speaker 1: the two point conversion is, conversion from Pettis. Filthy. He
- 7:58Speaker 1: said the way he paces it, the suddenness, and then
- 8:02Speaker 1: the efficiency in his footwork to step inside and snap
- 8:05Speaker 1: back out. He completely, completely loses the CB and is
- 8:09Speaker 1: wide open. There's some fun wide receivers for the Bills
- 8:12Speaker 1: at the bottom of the depth chart. But given the
- 8:15Speaker 1: juice that Skyler Bell has, And I think some of
- 8:18Speaker 1: the playmaking ability that's attached to that juice, if you
- 8:21Speaker 1: can just give him a bit of a runway and
- 8:22Speaker 1: let him go, was really encouraging to kind of see
- 8:26Speaker 1: him be, I think, the prince that was promised for
- 8:28Speaker 1: a lot of folks. And being that wide receiver five,
- 8:30Speaker 1: you know, I think even coming in to the offseason
- 8:33Speaker 1: and training camp, you know, there was, I think, a
- 8:35Speaker 1: legit discussion of, you know, DJ Moore, Khalil Shakir, questions
- 8:40Speaker 1: from after that wide receiver three through six. And I
- 8:44Speaker 1: think initially it was like, okay, Josh Palmer is three,
- 8:47Speaker 1: and then who's four, who's five? Is it Skyler Bell?
- 8:49Speaker 1: Is it Keon Coleman? Which one of those guys? Is
- 8:51Speaker 1: it somebody else? I think as the offseason has gone
- 8:54Speaker 1: through and training camp has gone through, I think Keon
- 8:56Speaker 1: has surpassed Palmer a little bit. Or at the very least,
- 9:01Speaker 1: they're each like three, three and a half. And then
- 9:04Speaker 1: it's like, okay, who's wide receiver five on this team?
- 9:06Speaker 1: And it's like, okay, is it Nicole Hardman? Is it
- 9:08Speaker 1: Trent Shurfield? Is it Jamori Macklin? And it's like, what
- 9:10Speaker 1: do you get from Skyler Bell? And so an important
- 9:13Speaker 1: game for him tonight, him being, you know, getting, I
- 9:16Speaker 1: don't want to say force fed, but having a game
- 9:19Speaker 1: plan that centered around, Hey, let's get him on the field.
- 9:21Speaker 1: Let's get him the ball in the past game. Let's
- 9:24Speaker 1: also manufacture a touch, see what can happen. Um, And
- 9:27Speaker 1: it was nice to see him perform. This is what
- 9:29Speaker 1: you want to see. Again, for me, I'm tempering expectations.
- 9:32Speaker 1: But if you want to while out and say he's
- 9:34Speaker 1: the prince that was promised in totality, go ahead. You
- 9:38Speaker 1: wanted to see him perform well tonight. I think he
- 9:40Speaker 1: did perform well. Again, if he would have come down
- 9:42Speaker 1: with that contested catch on that third down, it would
- 9:44Speaker 1: have been absolutely sick. But a really good performance from
- 9:48Speaker 1: Skyler Bell, who finished this game with, I should probably
- 9:53Speaker 1: pull up the box score. To see exactly what he
- 9:57Speaker 1: finished with Skylar Bell. finished with seven catches for 49
- 10:05Speaker 1: yards on 10 targets and then he also had interesting
- 10:11Speaker 1: that they're not oh and then he had um yeah
- 10:14Speaker 1: that jet sweep so one carry 28 yards and a
- 10:17Speaker 1: touchdown so Eight total touches for 77 yards and a touchdown.
- 10:26Speaker 1: Not bad. Not bad. Led the team in targets with 10.
- 10:29Speaker 1: No one else had more than five, and the person
- 10:31Speaker 1: who had five was Frank Gore because all the checkdowns
- 10:34Speaker 1: from Buchel. So solid performance from Skyler Bell. Also, I
- 10:38Speaker 1: just kind of, oh, got to stop. Super chat. Literally,
- 10:41Speaker 1: I saw the yellow, and it made me go like this. Jason,
- 10:43Speaker 1: thank you as always for being here and being a
- 10:45Speaker 1: consistent commenter. I appreciate you. Jason says, looking forward to
- 10:47Speaker 1: the Halloween tree behind you and also the start of
- 10:50Speaker 1: the regular season. The young secondary depth has potential. Glad
- 10:54Speaker 1: we won't be talking about re-signing old ex-bills. Oh, and
- 10:58Speaker 1: then hit the like. Please, please, please. Thank you. Yes,
- 11:01Speaker 1: please hit the like. I love that comment there from Jason.
- 11:05Speaker 1: We're going to talk secondary depth in a minute. Actually,
- 11:07Speaker 1: you know what? Yeah, let's just talk about it now
- 11:12Speaker 1: since you put this up here, Jason. Yeah, the secondary
- 11:16Speaker 1: depth has been nice to see. I... I posted right
- 11:20Speaker 1: before this stream started because it kind of just hit
- 11:23Speaker 1: my saw. Whoever it was, one of the corners make
- 11:28Speaker 1: a play on that third down on the last drive
- 11:30Speaker 1: for the Steelers. And the sideline was whooping it up.
- 11:33Speaker 1: And one of the people who was whooping it up was,
- 11:34Speaker 1: can I walk her? And all of a sudden it
- 11:36Speaker 1: kind of hit me that I was like, can I
- 11:37Speaker 1: walk her? Hasn't played at all. Like really at this
- 11:39Speaker 1: second half, like at all, or like literally at all,
- 11:43Speaker 1: or if he did not much, um, It's been nice
- 11:48Speaker 1: to see even guys like Kanai Walker, who I don't
- 11:52Speaker 1: think anybody knew two things about come training camp. Put
- 11:56Speaker 1: a good camp together. Put a good preseason together. Watching
- 12:02Speaker 1: Igben Nosen, who's a true rookie. Max Hairston, who's still
- 12:06Speaker 1: off of a rookie. I know he had that missed
- 12:08Speaker 1: tackle tonight. For me, that's not much with Max Hairston.
- 12:11Speaker 1: I think tackling is always going to be an issue
- 12:13Speaker 1: for him. I said it last year when he was drafted. um,
- 12:16Speaker 1: just angles and technique need work and that he's not
- 12:18Speaker 1: the biggest dude. He's doesn't, he doesn't have the longest arms,
- 12:20Speaker 1: not the biggest frame. Um, I remember a lot of
- 12:23Speaker 1: people yelling at me when I said tackling would be
- 12:25Speaker 1: an issue for him in the NFL because it wasn't Kentucky. Um,
- 12:28Speaker 1: but I think Hairston has still showed promise and has
- 12:31Speaker 1: encouraging reps. You've got Hairston, you got Igbenosen, you've got
- 12:35Speaker 1: Kenai Walker, and that's just at the corner spot, right?
- 12:38Speaker 1: Like Jordan Hancock has flashed a bunch this preseason. Jalen
- 12:41Speaker 1: Kilgore has some exciting traits that you like to Corey
- 12:43Speaker 1: couch has made some plays. There's, All these DBs, and Jason,
- 12:48Speaker 1: to your point here, the young secondary depth having potential, yeah,
- 12:52Speaker 1: I think it hasn't just been, oh, you know, like
- 12:56Speaker 1: lucky bounces or things kind of falling into their lap.
- 12:59Speaker 1: You're seeing good technique. You know, Kanai Walker I think
- 13:01Speaker 1: is a good example. I said it to Carl Jones
- 13:05Speaker 1: earlier tonight, like just his eyes are always on the hips.
- 13:12Speaker 1: His eyes are always on. the torso of the wide receiver.
- 13:15Speaker 1: Like he is not getting fooled. Like he's not, he's
- 13:17Speaker 1: not the most athletic dude. I don't think he's got
- 13:21Speaker 1: the best long speed, but he's strong. He's physical. You know,
- 13:26Speaker 1: he has no problem coming forward and trying to make
- 13:28Speaker 1: a tackle and play in the run. He's, he's had
- 13:31Speaker 1: some good moments as a run defender in terms of
- 13:33Speaker 1: inserting and fitting and taking on guys. He knows what
- 13:36Speaker 1: Jay Valai wants because he played under Jay Valai at Oklahoma.
- 13:40Speaker 1: And you see some of that technique, like Jay Valai
- 13:42Speaker 1: is a big preacher of like, eyes on hips in
- 13:44Speaker 1: this scenario, eyes on torso in this scenario. And can
- 13:46Speaker 1: I walk or just, I think embodies that, um, some
- 13:49Speaker 1: good sticky reps from him and him not playing really
- 13:53Speaker 1: in the second half at all tonight, I think was
- 13:55Speaker 1: a nice feather in his cap potentially in terms of
- 13:59Speaker 1: being the CB for, for this team, young cost-effective, you
- 14:03Speaker 1: kind of know what you're going to get, uh, to
- 14:05Speaker 1: a degree because he's played under Jay Valai, although he
- 14:07Speaker 1: is a rookie, you never really know what they're going
- 14:09Speaker 1: to be against NFL talent. Um, But you'll see, maybe
- 14:12Speaker 1: he's another Benford-like type player going forward. But the fact
- 14:16Speaker 1: that he's shown out a little bit, and he's still
- 14:19Speaker 1: somebody who's down the depth chart. You've had some nice
- 14:21Speaker 1: plays from Jordan Dunbar. Yeah, the secondary depth has been encouraging.
- 14:26Speaker 1: Jordan Hancock making plays at nickel, making plays at safety.
- 14:31Speaker 1: I think Toriano Pride making some plays in coverage. Toriano
- 14:35Speaker 1: Pride has even had some where he's gotten beat, but
- 14:40Speaker 1: his his technique was good and he's right there. And
- 14:42Speaker 1: it's just like, Hey, guys are making catches. And so
- 14:45Speaker 1: Toriano pride is making plays outside inside. Yeah. Just, I
- 14:50Speaker 1: think that that's somewhat to be expected given Jim Leonard's background,
- 14:55Speaker 1: his focus on the DBS and then how highly I
- 14:57Speaker 1: think of Jay Valai personally. I think the return on
- 15:00Speaker 1: investment right now, when purely focusing on the secondary, the
- 15:05Speaker 1: return on investment of, Bringing in Jim Leonard and Jim
- 15:10Speaker 1: Leonard bringing in Jay Valai has been awesome to see
- 15:12Speaker 1: because the secondary is just really clicking and really cooking.
- 15:16Speaker 1: They're checking to the right things. They are seeing the
- 15:21Speaker 1: right things at the right moments. You're getting the second-teamers,
- 15:24Speaker 1: the third-teamers, the fourth-teamers hitting the right checks, hitting the
- 15:29Speaker 1: right notes, adjusting and making adjustments to the adjustments. I
- 15:31Speaker 1: did the film breakdown of several coverage reps from their
- 15:34Speaker 1: game against Cleveland, and you're watching Cleveland go from a
- 15:37Speaker 1: two by two to a three by one, and then
- 15:39Speaker 1: to a four by one by switching over the back.
- 15:41Speaker 1: And the bills are just calmly, you know, check, check. Okay.
- 15:45Speaker 1: Here's the three by one. Okay. Let's check to this. Oh,
- 15:48Speaker 1: you know, here, the back is switched. Now we're getting
- 15:49Speaker 1: a four by one. Let's check to this. They're all
- 15:52Speaker 1: just in sync with one another and they, there's a
- 15:55Speaker 1: good understanding. So there's good coaching that's taking place. There's
- 15:58Speaker 1: good instilling of rules and information and communication and they
- 16:03Speaker 1: are prepared. Well, I think Jim Leonard and Jay Valai
- 16:05Speaker 1: are doing a great job preparing the secondary. Um, and
- 16:08Speaker 1: then you got to get to tip your cap to
- 16:09Speaker 1: the players are actually going out and executing. Um, there's
- 16:12Speaker 1: a fine line between good coaching and good players. You
- 16:15Speaker 1: can have the best coaching in the world, but the
- 16:16Speaker 1: guys can't execute. It means nothing. And vice versa. You get,
- 16:20Speaker 1: if you have guys who can execute, but they're not
- 16:21Speaker 1: getting the right type of installation and they're not going
- 16:24Speaker 1: to matter. Um, so yeah, really excited to see, um,
- 16:29Speaker 1: you know, the start of the regular season and the
- 16:30Speaker 1: Halloween tree, Jason, as you mentioned, but yeah, the young
- 16:32Speaker 1: secondary depth, uh, having potential is legit and, uh, really encouraging, really,
- 16:37Speaker 1: really encouraging. Uh, grab this one here from Brown, 94
- 16:44Speaker 1: life thoughts on Kilgore. I'm encouraged. Um, I wasn't buying
- 16:48Speaker 1: the hype as much out of camp. I'll even go
- 16:51Speaker 1: back further. I, he's somebody who I liked at South Carolina.
- 16:54Speaker 1: I watched a bunch of South Carolina as anybody who
- 16:56Speaker 1: watched the show regularly. I always make the joke like
- 16:59Speaker 1: when NCAA football or whatever, you know, college football 24
- 17:02Speaker 1: came out a couple of years ago when they relaunched it,
- 17:04Speaker 1: South Carolina was my dynasty team. And I balled out
- 17:08Speaker 1: with Jalen Kilgore a bunch. So he kind of has
- 17:10Speaker 1: a special place in my heart for that. But I
- 17:13Speaker 1: thought he was more of a, of a long-term guy
- 17:17Speaker 1: than he was a 2026 contributor. But I've been encouraged
- 17:22Speaker 1: by some of the mental reps and some of the
- 17:24Speaker 1: athleticism that he showed, but I still think especially if
- 17:27Speaker 1: he's going to play more true safety for the Bills,
- 17:30Speaker 1: which sounds and looks like the plan. He's got to
- 17:34Speaker 1: see that game from that vantage point more consistently. I'm
- 17:37Speaker 1: not expecting much from Kilgore in 2026. I'm encouraged and
- 17:40Speaker 1: I'm hopeful. And there have been some really nice, I
- 17:43Speaker 1: think for me, mental flashes. I don't need to see
- 17:46Speaker 1: he's big and athletic. That's going to play. That's going
- 17:50Speaker 1: to track. I'm encouraged by seeing the checks and seeing
- 17:53Speaker 1: him relay calls or start calls and being able to
- 17:56Speaker 1: execute from the neck up because I think that's the
- 17:59Speaker 1: biggest thing for him. The size and speed and athleticism,
- 18:02Speaker 1: that's not going to go anywhere. Fingers crossed, no jinx.
- 18:05Speaker 1: So I'm encouraged by Jalen Kilgore. Not expecting him to
- 18:11Speaker 1: do much in 2026. I think it would be awesome
- 18:16Speaker 1: if when they go dime, like Jalen Kilgore's in there
- 18:18Speaker 1: at dime, but I think it'll probably be Geno Stone
- 18:21Speaker 1: who's in there as the third safety when they go dime.
- 18:24Speaker 1: And then they'll put either Cole Bishop or Chauncey Gardner
- 18:27Speaker 1: Johnson down as like an extra apex dude and kind
- 18:30Speaker 1: of see what you get there. And then dime could
- 18:32Speaker 1: be real fun too. That's another kind of thing. You know,
- 18:34Speaker 1: you could take D Alford and put him inside, outside.
- 18:36Speaker 1: You can do all these things with their guys there.
- 18:39Speaker 1: So I'm encouraged by Kilgore, not expecting much from him
- 18:43Speaker 1: in 2026, but I am encouraged. um bum bum bum
- 18:51Speaker 1: john roberts says uh can i walker runs the 40
- 18:53Speaker 1: a full quarter second slower than pride junior if a
- 18:56Speaker 1: receiver gets a half a step on walker he will
- 18:57Speaker 1: never catch up yeah you know that i for me
- 19:00Speaker 1: that's just kind of what you're going to get with
- 19:02Speaker 1: him i watched him get burned um at oklahoma against
- 19:06Speaker 1: tennessee even though tennessee is a mickey mouse offense with
- 19:09Speaker 1: how spread they are and then college hashes and all
- 19:12Speaker 1: that stuff but he gives up inside positioning on a
- 19:14Speaker 1: slant where he doesn't really have a ton of help.
- 19:16Speaker 1: And once the receiver catches it, it's kind of just
- 19:18Speaker 1: over and just dust him to the corner or to the,
- 19:21Speaker 1: to the end. So for like a 60, 50 plus
- 19:23Speaker 1: yard touchdown, something like that. I think the long speed
- 19:26Speaker 1: is going to be a question for Walker, but I
- 19:29Speaker 1: think his technique and his physicality and his understanding of
- 19:33Speaker 1: this defense and what the lie wants helps him enough
- 19:36Speaker 1: to be a CB four. And I'll take a dude.
- 19:38Speaker 1: If somebody is going to be CB four, right. They're
- 19:40Speaker 1: going to have imperfections. Nobody has a CB4 that is
- 19:44Speaker 1: a stud or a ready-made starter, but I think his
- 19:48Speaker 1: willingness to come forward, his abilities. a tackler the length
- 19:51Speaker 1: the physicality and the ability to just jam and get
- 19:54Speaker 1: on guys you know he's going to have to be
- 19:57Speaker 1: on point with this technique he's going to have to
- 19:58Speaker 1: win with physicality because he doesn't have the long speed
- 20:01Speaker 1: or the twitch i think it's both ways he doesn't
- 20:02Speaker 1: have the long speed i also don't think he has
- 20:04Speaker 1: like the twitch to kind of close on things quick
- 20:07Speaker 1: um but he's got some good eyes He has some
- 20:10Speaker 1: more athleticism than I think he might get credit for,
- 20:13Speaker 1: considering he's not a twitch or a speed guy. But
- 20:16Speaker 1: the physicality plays, the size and frame will play, and
- 20:20Speaker 1: the ability to play the run will play. And I
- 20:21Speaker 1: think he could do a lot worse at CB4, so
- 20:23Speaker 1: I'm fine with him at CB4. And also, too, I mean, like,
- 20:27Speaker 1: Toriano Pride Jr. can absolutely fly. Like, he is a
- 20:30Speaker 1: menace when it comes to speed. But, you know, I
- 20:32Speaker 1: do think that is a fair, fair point. Let me
- 20:38Speaker 1: go back because there's been a bunch of... Oh, that's
- 20:41Speaker 1: what I want to talk about too. So before I
- 20:42Speaker 1: started talking about Jason's point there, let me go to...
- 20:47Speaker 1: There was a comment on Frank Gore Jr. and I
- 20:50Speaker 1: was just going to use that. Ryan, there you go.
- 20:53Speaker 1: Ryan says Frank Gore should be on a roster. Frank
- 20:56Speaker 1: Gore Jr. also looked good tonight. That dead leg on
- 20:59Speaker 1: the catch that led to his touchdown was absolutely beautiful.
- 21:04Speaker 1: Frank Gore Jr. is... It's unfortunate in a lot of ways.
- 21:10Speaker 1: Ian Wheeler has looked good too for the Bills. In space,
- 21:15Speaker 1: in between the tackles, you can just run duo over
- 21:18Speaker 1: and over again with Ian Wheeler and it just seems
- 21:20Speaker 1: like a really effective thing. So Wheeler's been good. The
- 21:23Speaker 1: curse for both Wheeler and Gore is that the top
- 21:26Speaker 1: three backs for the Bills are set. James Cook is
- 21:28Speaker 1: a true one. Davis is going to be on this
- 21:31Speaker 1: roster as a punt returner and also gives you a
- 21:33Speaker 1: fair compliment to Cook as a back. And then you've
- 21:35Speaker 1: got Ty Johnson who's a very good third down back.
- 21:38Speaker 1: He's good in pass, bro. You know, physically and mentally,
- 21:41Speaker 1: he can catch the ball. He can also run better
- 21:43Speaker 1: than he gets credit for. The Bills have a good
- 21:46Speaker 1: running back room in general, and so it's tough to
- 21:48Speaker 1: crack that, especially if you're not a returner or don't
- 21:51Speaker 1: offer a ton of special teams value. But Frank Gore is,
- 21:54Speaker 1: he doesn't have the upside that I think you would
- 21:57Speaker 1: like in a lot of guys. He doesn't have the
- 21:58Speaker 1: upside of his dad. Again, Frank Gore Sr. was a
- 22:02Speaker 1: running back at Miami who... Clinton Portis and Willis McGahee
- 22:08Speaker 1: were both on the bench because that's how good Frank
- 22:10Speaker 1: Gore Sr. was. And then he tore his ACL, I
- 22:14Speaker 1: think twice in one knee and once in the other.
- 22:16Speaker 1: And it just didn't matter. Went to the NFL and
- 22:19Speaker 1: balled out for year after year after year. You know,
- 22:23Speaker 1: his dad had more ceiling and I think more physical
- 22:25Speaker 1: ability in terms of like speed, athleticism, talent, even after
- 22:28Speaker 1: the ACL tears, which is just crazy. Again, like this
- 22:30Speaker 1: is a dude who those loaded Miami teams who should
- 22:33Speaker 1: have won back-to-back national titles because the, the, the second
- 22:36Speaker 1: year they got screwed against Ohio state, uh, on that
- 22:38Speaker 1: pass interference call in the end zone. But Frank Gore
- 22:42Speaker 1: senior was a stud and a dude who kept Clinton
- 22:45Speaker 1: Portis and Willis McGahee on the bench at Miami. Um,
- 22:48Speaker 1: so that's really saying something like, Hey, Willis McGahee was
- 22:50Speaker 1: listed as like a fullback. Like that's how good Frank
- 22:53Speaker 1: Gore was. And then Portis was cause it was Gore
- 22:54Speaker 1: and Portis. And then they were like, Oh, we can
- 22:56Speaker 1: just move McGahee to fullback, which is nuts. Um, I
- 22:59Speaker 1: don't think Frank or junior has that upside, but he's
- 23:03Speaker 1: like a really, really high floor player. He's just effective.
- 23:06Speaker 1: Like he, he gets you what you should get. He
- 23:10Speaker 1: doesn't really do anything stupid or foolish. He keeps you
- 23:13Speaker 1: on schedule. I think he's a good singles and doubles hitter.
- 23:15Speaker 1: I think he's a dude who will hit you for average.
- 23:18Speaker 1: The average that he's probably going to hit for is
- 23:20Speaker 1: like two 80, two 85 to, you know, maybe three
- 23:25Speaker 1: Oh five, three 10 on a really good year. Um,
- 23:28Speaker 1: He's not going to slug a ton. I don't think
- 23:30Speaker 1: he's even like a 15 homer type of dude. I
- 23:33Speaker 1: don't even think he's a big stolen base guy, but
- 23:35Speaker 1: he's a guy who will hit for average and get
- 23:37Speaker 1: on base and walk. He does a lot of good
- 23:39Speaker 1: things that are not sexy and he's effective, but I
- 23:43Speaker 1: think the ceiling is low and he's unfortunately on a
- 23:47Speaker 1: Bills team with a lot of good running backs. But
- 23:50Speaker 1: I do want him to get a chance somewhere, even
- 23:52Speaker 1: if it's not with the Bills. I would love to
- 23:54Speaker 1: see Frank Gore Jr. get NFL regular season reps with
- 23:58Speaker 1: the team and see how real of a running back
- 24:00Speaker 1: he can be, because we've seen preseason year after preseason year.
- 24:05Speaker 1: He's just effective as a runner, as a pass catcher.
- 24:08Speaker 1: He makes guys miss. He's he's efficient, I think. And
- 24:11Speaker 1: that that's such an unsexy thing to say. I kind
- 24:14Speaker 1: of feels like a backhanded compliment. I don't mean it
- 24:17Speaker 1: to be that way, but he's just an efficient player, runner, mover,
- 24:22Speaker 1: vision player. He's got a little bit of everything. He
- 24:24Speaker 1: doesn't necessarily have the ceiling, but he's just a good,
- 24:27Speaker 1: effective player. Man, yeah, I hope he gets an opportunity somewhere.
- 24:36Speaker 1: I don't think it'll end up being with the Bills.
- 24:38Speaker 1: We'll see. Maybe he gets scooped up by another team
- 24:41Speaker 1: if he's on the Bills practice squad again, but he's
- 24:45Speaker 1: just a good, effective player. I would love for him
- 24:47Speaker 1: to get an opportunity somewhere. I think he deserves it,
- 24:49Speaker 1: and I think it'll be cool to see him get
- 24:50Speaker 1: an opportunity somewhere because he's made plays. consecutive preseasons in
- 24:54Speaker 1: a row, multiple preseasons at this point. So, um, I'd
- 24:58Speaker 1: like to see him get an opportunity, see if he
- 25:00Speaker 1: can be more than a practice squad guy. See if, uh,
- 25:04Speaker 1: you know, he can make an NFL roster and live
- 25:06Speaker 1: as like a rotational back or a depth chart guy.
- 25:09Speaker 1: That's on the game day roster for some teams somewhere. Um,
- 25:12Speaker 1: it'd be cool. Cause you know, he makes some plays
- 25:14Speaker 1: in preseason, but we'll see. We'll see. We'll see. We'll see. Um, uh,
- 25:21Speaker 1: I'm seeing a lot of anger and back and forth
- 25:23Speaker 1: between everybody of Frank Gore and Ian Wheeler. Um, well,
- 25:29Speaker 1: the question here is what was Skylar Bell stats? Uh,
- 25:33Speaker 1: I went over briefly earlier, but again, for those who
- 25:35Speaker 1: are just tuning in now, seven catches on 10 targets,
- 25:37Speaker 1: 49 receiving yards, and then one carrier for 28 yards
- 25:41Speaker 1: and a touchdown. He led the bills and targets with 10, uh,
- 25:44Speaker 1: second on the bills and targets was Frank or junior
- 25:47Speaker 1: at five. Um, If Johnson is too injured to start,
- 25:53Speaker 1: maybe Gore will be on the roster. Maybe. Man, it
- 25:57Speaker 1: would be rough if Ty Johnson's out because I don't
- 26:00Speaker 1: trust James Cook fully in pass protection and I don't
- 26:03Speaker 1: trust Ray Davis. I don't know who the running back
- 26:05Speaker 1: is on third downs to pass protect and help him
- 26:07Speaker 1: do stuff. That would be interesting. Oh, good call from
- 26:14Speaker 1: Matt Soto who says CB4. That's a good movie. That
- 26:16Speaker 1: is a good movie. That's a good parody. That's a
- 26:18Speaker 1: good movie. That's a good movie. That's a good movie.
- 26:20Speaker 1: That's a good movie. Well, the comment here is, no,
- 26:28Speaker 1: the dime look will for sure have Jordan Hancock. Maybe.
- 26:32Speaker 1: I just heard how Jim Leonard spoke about Geno Stone.
- 26:37Speaker 1: And that just kind of resonated with me. And I
- 26:40Speaker 1: do think Geno Stone, for as unsexy as he is
- 26:42Speaker 1: and the faults that he has, it could be a
- 26:45Speaker 1: good guy to just kind of patrol deep and be
- 26:46Speaker 1: the third safety and be the guy who just gives
- 26:48Speaker 1: you a high floor and sets things back there. Jim
- 26:53Speaker 1: Leonard spoke very highly of him in his presser earlier
- 26:55Speaker 1: this week, which made me think he maybe might kind
- 26:59Speaker 1: of have a role. And, you know, he was at the,
- 27:03Speaker 1: at the dime spot, you know, he was the third
- 27:05Speaker 1: safety in there during training camp before Chauncey Gardner Johnson
- 27:08Speaker 1: went down. It was Gino Chauncey and Bishop with Gino
- 27:12Speaker 1: and Chauncey deep. And then Bishop as the apex player
- 27:14Speaker 1: along with D Alford. But we'll see, you know, if
- 27:17Speaker 1: it's Hancock, cool. I just, I heard how Leonard spoke of,
- 27:22Speaker 1: Geno Stone. And that resonated. And I feel like that
- 27:26Speaker 1: also kind of makes sense a little bit. Also, too,
- 27:27Speaker 1: like Hancock is still he's still learning full time safety
- 27:31Speaker 1: at the NFL level. He was, you know, because of
- 27:34Speaker 1: that defense he played in at Ohio State and what
- 27:36Speaker 1: they were doing with downs and even ransom their other
- 27:38Speaker 1: safety two years ago. Hancock was, yeah, kind of this
- 27:42Speaker 1: in-between safety nickel hybrid type of dude. He was that
- 27:45Speaker 1: a little bit last year as well. He would come
- 27:47Speaker 1: in for passing downs, but they really kept his role
- 27:50Speaker 1: limited and siloed. And now he's learning a new defense
- 27:53Speaker 1: with different principles versus what he's done previously. So it'd
- 27:57Speaker 1: be cool if it was Hancock, but given Stone's knowledge
- 28:02Speaker 1: and IQ and ability to put himself in some advantageous positions,
- 28:05Speaker 1: the way Jim Leonard spoke of him, it makes me
- 28:07Speaker 1: think it would be Geno Stone. Could be Hancock, though.
- 28:24Speaker 1: Let's see. Oh, I don't want to play this game
- 28:27Speaker 1: of Wheeler. Frank or junior gets cut. I want to
- 28:30Speaker 1: talk about some defensive players tonight for Darian Mathis. I
- 28:35Speaker 1: had a good game tonight. A couple of good run
- 28:36Speaker 1: stops again. Backup guys and some depth guys. We'll see.
- 28:43Speaker 1: I'm interested to see what the nose tackle rotation looks like.
- 28:46Speaker 1: They signed Greg Gaines. Mathis is suspended for the first
- 28:51Speaker 1: three games. Is Gaines the guy behind Deion? And Mathis
- 28:56Speaker 1: is done? Does Gaines keep the spot warm until Mathis
- 28:59Speaker 1: is ready? And then Mathis comes in. I'm interested to
- 29:04Speaker 1: see what that rotation looks like. I think I'm interested
- 29:07Speaker 1: to see in the rotate, the interior rotation in general,
- 29:09Speaker 1: you know, uh, Landon Jackson suited up tonight, played a bunch.
- 29:13Speaker 1: TJ Sanders was in street clothes from the beginning of
- 29:16Speaker 1: the game, not playing, you know, who knows, maybe he's
- 29:19Speaker 1: nursing something and they're kind of just, you know, don't
- 29:21Speaker 1: suit up tonight, stay healthy, whatever it is. But, um,
- 29:25Speaker 1: I don't know if you're trying to read the tea
- 29:26Speaker 1: leaves a little bit, seeing that, you know, TJ Sanders
- 29:31Speaker 1: doesn't dress and is in street clothes, but Landon Jackson's
- 29:34Speaker 1: getting a bunch, of reps tonight. We'll see what happens there.
- 29:39Speaker 1: I've seen a bunch of comments coming through for Dwayne Carter.
- 29:41Speaker 1: He had a couple of nice plays against Cleveland. I
- 29:44Speaker 1: just think on the whole, he's not there. I don't know.
- 29:52Speaker 1: I think he's caught between a rock and a hard place.
- 29:56Speaker 1: I don't think he's a fit to play nose in
- 29:58Speaker 1: the NFL. I think he's best suited to lose weight
- 30:02Speaker 1: and be a penetrating three tech like he was at
- 30:05Speaker 1: duke and like he should have been with the bills
- 30:08Speaker 1: but then they tried to make him and uh who
- 30:11Speaker 1: was it a couple years ago austin johnson each both
- 30:14Speaker 1: kind of live in the light in the dark by
- 30:16Speaker 1: each having them like they had austin johnson slimmed down
- 30:18Speaker 1: and they had dwayne carter gained weight so like they
- 30:21Speaker 1: each could play three and each could play one and
- 30:23Speaker 1: it didn't help either austin johnson should have just been
- 30:25Speaker 1: the one and Dwayne Carter should have just been the
- 30:27Speaker 1: three and you could have been in rotation behind at
- 30:30Speaker 1: Oliver and Daquan Jones respectively. But I don't think it's
- 30:36Speaker 1: great for Carter, especially to, you know, again, Mathis, I
- 30:40Speaker 1: think I would take Mathis over Carter. I don't, I
- 30:45Speaker 1: don't love the idea of Mathis or Gaines as, regular contributors,
- 30:50Speaker 1: even in a rotational role for the Bills defense, even
- 30:53Speaker 1: though they do seem to be really kind of teaching
- 30:55Speaker 1: things well up front from a gap and a half
- 30:58Speaker 1: perspective and how to take on blocks and play screws
- 31:00Speaker 1: on screws and play react attack, which is very encouraging.
- 31:04Speaker 1: But at this point, yeah, I mean, I would take,
- 31:07Speaker 1: I would take Mathis and Gaines over Dwayne Carter and
- 31:13Speaker 1: probably take Zane Durant. unfortunately for Carter. I know Durant's
- 31:18Speaker 1: not a nose, but I think he's made more plays.
- 31:21Speaker 1: I'd rather just keep Durant. I just don't have a
- 31:24Speaker 1: lot of faith in Carter. Like I didn't love him
- 31:26Speaker 1: as a rookie. And then he gets hurt last year.
- 31:28Speaker 1: It's unfortunate. Maybe he can be on the practice squad,
- 31:31Speaker 1: but I also thought it would just be tough for him.
- 31:33Speaker 1: Like having him, like they, they wanted him to play
- 31:35Speaker 1: nose this year. And he is like, I don't think
- 31:37Speaker 1: he's built to play nose with his skillset and his
- 31:40Speaker 1: play style and then adding the weight. I think he's,
- 31:42Speaker 1: he's done better. than I thought he would. He's had
- 31:45Speaker 1: some positive flashes, especially in that game against the Browns.
- 31:49Speaker 1: We'll see what the tape shows in this game, but
- 31:51Speaker 1: I think Dwayne Carter's in a bit of an unfortunate position.
- 31:58Speaker 1: A bit of an unfortunate position, I will say that.
- 32:04Speaker 1: I do not know how many snaps Michael Hoyt got tonight,
- 32:06Speaker 1: but he played a decent chunk. Um, which is good.
- 32:08Speaker 1: I figured, you know, kind of ramped him up, let
- 32:10Speaker 1: him get some burn this third preseason game. Now we
- 32:12Speaker 1: can rest for a couple of weeks and get into
- 32:14Speaker 1: the rotation for week one. I, I'm still, uh, I'm
- 32:19Speaker 1: still surprised that he's ahead of schedule to this degree. Um,
- 32:28Speaker 1: but Hey, like I, I, I, I am encouraged by
- 32:31Speaker 1: what happens with Michael Hoyt. Um, And it's nice to
- 32:36Speaker 1: see him just again, him suiting up on day one
- 32:38Speaker 1: of training camp and rolling. And then he's continued to practice.
- 32:41Speaker 1: He hasn't really had setbacks. And then he got a
- 32:42Speaker 1: ton of burn tonight or at least in that ramp
- 32:44Speaker 1: up process. I'm encouraged for him for week one. RJ
- 32:48Speaker 1: says Carter should be in the landed Jackson role. The
- 32:51Speaker 1: problem is Carter. I don't think. is the, even the
- 32:57Speaker 1: run defender that Landon Jackson is from like a physicality standpoint.
- 33:01Speaker 1: And from a play style standpoint, I just don't think
- 33:03Speaker 1: Carter has a fit in this defense. Now that they've switched.
- 33:07Speaker 1: I also think Landon Jackson has had some flashes, but
- 33:10Speaker 1: he's had some rough reps that no one's really like
- 33:12Speaker 1: talking about. He's gotten blown off the ball and displaced
- 33:15Speaker 1: vertically and horizontally a bunch. And I just keep seeing
- 33:19Speaker 1: people talking about like how great he's playing left and right.
- 33:22Speaker 1: And I feel like Landon Jackson's kind of, been getting
- 33:24Speaker 1: blown up a bit you know he's made some plays
- 33:26Speaker 1: but he's also gotten blown up a good chunk um
- 33:29Speaker 1: carter is tough yeah i if if it's between him
- 33:34Speaker 1: playing nose versus like playing a four eye and then
- 33:37Speaker 1: you know a three tech um in their even front
- 33:40Speaker 1: stuff yeah i would agree like i would put carter
- 33:43Speaker 1: in that role before i put him as a rotational
- 33:47Speaker 1: nose and a one tech um we even saw tonight
- 33:50Speaker 1: too when they were in their four down stuff landon
- 33:51Speaker 1: jackson uh, was kicked on the interior and doing different stuff.
- 33:56Speaker 1: Like I, on the field with Darian Mathis. So Jackson
- 33:59Speaker 1: was the three Mathis was the one I do think. Yeah.
- 34:03Speaker 1: If I had to put Carter into a spot, it
- 34:05Speaker 1: would be into the landed Jackson role more so than
- 34:07Speaker 1: the role he's in now. But I, I still don't
- 34:09Speaker 1: even think that's an ideal spot for him. I really
- 34:14Speaker 1: think he's just suited to be a one gapping penetrating
- 34:18Speaker 1: rotational three tech. I thought his ceiling was, um, like
- 34:24Speaker 1: a defensive tackle three. I thought that was his ceiling
- 34:26Speaker 1: coming out of Duke. I thought the Bills took him high.
- 34:30Speaker 1: That's just me, too. I also just view him as
- 34:32Speaker 1: kind of more of a siloed player, and I don't
- 34:34Speaker 1: think adding more weight and playing him at nose is
- 34:36Speaker 1: great for him, or playing in an odd front is
- 34:38Speaker 1: great for him at this point. Though he has played better.
- 34:41Speaker 1: I will say he has played better this preseason than
- 34:44Speaker 1: I thought he would. I still just think it's too tough.
- 34:50Speaker 1: But yeah, Mathis had some plays tonight. Andre Jones, really
- 34:52Speaker 1: nice sack tonight. Mike Dana, I think, is an interesting
- 34:55Speaker 1: one to talk about. Mike Dana just feels like, if
- 35:00Speaker 1: you watch baseball, he just feels like a quadruple-A player
- 35:04Speaker 1: where he's not somebody who is good enough to be
- 35:10Speaker 1: a regular starter in the majors, but he's too good
- 35:13Speaker 1: to be in triple-A. And I think that's what Mike
- 35:18Speaker 1: Dana is. I think he's somebody who, as he's shown,
- 35:21Speaker 1: he will dominate late in the game in the preseason,
- 35:24Speaker 1: like he's much better than third and fourth team guys
- 35:27Speaker 1: in the NFL, but I don't know if he's good
- 35:29Speaker 1: enough to beat ones at the NFL level. Maybe he
- 35:34Speaker 1: can be, you know, the comment here from Luis who says,
- 35:37Speaker 1: I like him better than Solomon. Yeah, for me, they're
- 35:41Speaker 1: kind of, they're different, but it's kind of like six
- 35:45Speaker 1: and one half a dozen of the other. I haven't
- 35:46Speaker 1: really been sold on anybody off the edge this preseason.
- 35:50Speaker 1: I'm happy that Hoyt's going to be there. So you
- 35:53Speaker 1: get a top three of Rousseau, Chubb, and Hoyt. I
- 35:59Speaker 1: think Parker's flashed a little bit in good ways and
- 36:02Speaker 1: then also flashed in some bad ways. But I think
- 36:05Speaker 1: TJ Parker's fine to be your edge four. And then
- 36:08Speaker 1: if we're looking at edge five, I don't know, Dana, Solomon,
- 36:12Speaker 1: I think you could go either or. I don't really...
- 36:17Speaker 1: I want to watch the tapes tonight to see what
- 36:19Speaker 1: it is from Dana, but I... I would probably lean
- 36:23Speaker 1: Dana because I know he's more of a proven NFL player.
- 36:28Speaker 1: I don't know what I'm getting from Javon Solomon with
- 36:30Speaker 1: any type of regularity, but I do think Solomon has
- 36:32Speaker 1: flashed a bit this preseason. And this defense is a
- 36:35Speaker 1: nice suit for him and his athleticism and bend and
- 36:38Speaker 1: juice and all this kind of stuff allows him to
- 36:40Speaker 1: do different things. But I think, yeah, it's going to
- 36:46Speaker 1: be tough for that edge five spot, especially if we're
- 36:47Speaker 1: looking at right now. Oh, yeah. It's going to be Groot, Chubb, Hoyt, Parker. Honestly,
- 36:57Speaker 1: Andre Jones has made plays. I don't know if they
- 37:01Speaker 1: keep five or six. I feel like they probably keep...
- 37:04Speaker 1: I'm always conservative when it comes to roster projection, and
- 37:07Speaker 1: I don't like to go to six spots or six
- 37:10Speaker 1: players for a spot unless it's a for-sure thing, so
- 37:12Speaker 1: I usually lean towards five at most. Yeah, I think you're...
- 37:17Speaker 1: It's between Solomon, Dana, and then Andre Jones. And... I
- 37:21Speaker 1: might even put Andre Jones ahead a little bit. Special teams,
- 37:26Speaker 1: I think, will come into play for Solomon versus Danica.
- 37:28Speaker 1: Solomon plays special teams, and he's athletic. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 37:40Speaker 1: I think, you know, if special teams is the deciding factor,
- 37:44Speaker 1: the edge is for Solomon because he's got more athleticism.
- 37:47Speaker 1: He's got more juice. He's got more bend. I think
- 37:48Speaker 1: he has more of a special teams role and niche
- 37:50Speaker 1: role carved out for him um then then dana does
- 37:57Speaker 1: who's more of a pure edge or defensive end that
- 38:01Speaker 1: he is like an athletic guy who can also get
- 38:03Speaker 1: down the field and do different stuff on teams tvb
- 38:06Speaker 1: says you sound very concerned about landon and the back
- 38:08Speaker 1: of nose tackle if they are struggling do you think
- 38:10Speaker 1: bean will actually make a trade at the deadline uh
- 38:13Speaker 1: i always lean no on these things that's hard it
- 38:15Speaker 1: takes not to get i'm not giving brandon bean and
- 38:17Speaker 1: i'll make an excuse in any way shape or form
- 38:20Speaker 1: but it takes two to tango like you have to
- 38:22Speaker 1: have a willing trade partner to trade back with you
- 38:26Speaker 1: um and so it's just hard to get the exact
- 38:27Speaker 1: thing that you need um and i don't know if
- 38:31Speaker 1: i'm very concerned about landing i am concerned about landed
- 38:37Speaker 1: um i'm good i mean i'm not even just landing
- 38:39Speaker 1: i'm concerned about the four eye spot in general like
- 38:41Speaker 1: the interior players in the odd front structures um I
- 38:47Speaker 1: would like to see Sanders or Jackson solidify that. I
- 38:50Speaker 1: think both have shown flashes. I think both have also
- 38:52Speaker 1: shown the things that I was concerned about this preseason.
- 38:56Speaker 1: So I'm still kind of in the same boat I
- 38:58Speaker 1: was before the preseason started. And then backup knows I'm
- 39:02Speaker 1: still in the same boat kind of that I was
- 39:04Speaker 1: before where, you know, okay, you're going to have rotational guys.
- 39:06Speaker 1: I would have liked somebody more solidified. I would have–
- 39:12Speaker 1: I would like– I would like to go into the
- 39:14Speaker 1: regular season with somebody better than Greg Gaines or Fedarian
- 39:17Speaker 1: Mathis as the rotational nose tackle behind Deion Walker. Also,
- 39:21Speaker 1: because if you've got somebody who's more solidified, that frees
- 39:23Speaker 1: up deon walker to be a four i be a
- 39:26Speaker 1: five lineup you could line them up at a wide
- 39:28Speaker 1: nine and do crazy stuff with them like they did
- 39:30Speaker 1: in kentucky um but i if i had to say
- 39:34Speaker 1: right now like do i think bean will actually make
- 39:36Speaker 1: a trade at the deadline i'd say no and it's
- 39:38Speaker 1: not just because of being like you just need somebody
- 39:40Speaker 1: who's willing to play ball with you and i think
- 39:41Speaker 1: that's hard especially with the extra wild card spots it's
- 39:44Speaker 1: similar in baseball like you have the extra wild card
- 39:47Speaker 1: spots now more teams are in the hunt come trade
- 39:52Speaker 1: deadline time, that's less teams that are willing to kind
- 39:54Speaker 1: of trade pieces away. It's tough. There was something else
- 40:10Speaker 1: I wanted to... Oh, I see conversations about Hairston and Igbenosin. Oh,
- 40:15Speaker 1: let me go back. What's up, AJ? Hey! yeah that
- 40:18Speaker 1: old kanye aj says what position group excites you the
- 40:21Speaker 1: most what position group worries you the most with preseason
- 40:25Speaker 1: and a close oh really good question um what position
- 40:32Speaker 1: group excites me the most oh man this is tough
- 40:38Speaker 1: if i could group if i could make the secondary
- 40:43Speaker 1: one whole group it would be the secondary um there
- 40:46Speaker 1: are safeties and corners that I'm excited about the most.
- 40:49Speaker 1: So I would say the DBs as a whole, I'm
- 40:51Speaker 1: going to cheat and say the DBs. The safeties have
- 40:55Speaker 1: made me excited. The corners have made me excited. I
- 40:59Speaker 1: would say the DBs the most. And it's a mix
- 41:03Speaker 1: of some of the safeties and some of the corners.
- 41:06Speaker 1: If I had to not cheat, I would probably actually
- 41:13Speaker 1: say wide receiver and not because I love the wide receivers,
- 41:17Speaker 1: but because I feel much better about the group as
- 41:19Speaker 1: a whole this year than I did last year, which
- 41:23Speaker 1: makes me feel better. What position group worries me the most?
- 41:32Speaker 1: The interior defensive line. And I'm saying that from both
- 41:34Speaker 1: an even front and an odd structure and an odd
- 41:37Speaker 1: front structure perspective. So in the odd front, the four
- 41:40Speaker 1: I's and the no's. And then in the even front,
- 41:43Speaker 1: the one tech and the three tech. That's where I'm at.
- 41:46Speaker 1: I just don't know. Are Landon Jackson or TJ Sanders,
- 41:53Speaker 1: are either of them ready to solidify a starting spot?
- 41:57Speaker 1: I still don't know right now. And again, I've seen
- 42:02Speaker 1: some positive flashes, which is super cool. But what also
- 42:05Speaker 1: concerns me is the things that I was concerned about
- 42:09Speaker 1: are still showing up. Like, I'm watching Landon Jackson get
- 42:11Speaker 1: blown off the ball vertically and horizontally. Same kind of
- 42:15Speaker 1: deal with TJ Sanders. The backup nose spot, I don't love,
- 42:21Speaker 1: like I said, and even still with Deion Walker as
- 42:23Speaker 1: a penetrator and a mover and super fun, I still
- 42:26Speaker 1: want to see what happens when teams decide, you know
- 42:28Speaker 1: what we're going to do? We're going to run right
- 42:30Speaker 1: at Deion Walker and see what happens. And I think
- 42:33Speaker 1: that's worrisome just because of how he's physically built. But,
- 42:36Speaker 1: they can do some stuff with him by playing him
- 42:38Speaker 1: in a shade and kind of pointing him at the
- 42:40Speaker 1: center rather than being a true, true nose. Um, I
- 42:43Speaker 1: appreciate you, AJ. I appreciate you. Um, inside joke that
- 42:49Speaker 1: I'm not gonna, I'm not gonna share, but Oh yeah.
- 42:51Speaker 1: Good times. Good times in Mobile with AJ. Um, after
- 42:55Speaker 1: you got in late, um, like that first night, I think, uh,
- 42:59Speaker 1: for you getting into Alabama. Um, yeah, but so for me,
- 43:02Speaker 1: it would be that interior defensive line spot. And it's, it's,
- 43:05Speaker 1: It's not even just the pure starters, but if that
- 43:08Speaker 1: Oliver goes down, what's happening on the inside? Do you
- 43:11Speaker 1: have to rely on Zane Durant or TJ Sanders stepping
- 43:18Speaker 1: up or Landon Jackson or somebody else? I think the
- 43:25Speaker 1: interior defensive line, yeah, I know, was a disaster for
- 43:28Speaker 1: you in Mobile that first time, but I think we
- 43:30Speaker 1: ended up having a good time after that. Yeah, I
- 43:33Speaker 1: think that interior defensive line I think is just really
- 43:36Speaker 1: like a hair away from being really worrisome and i
- 43:40Speaker 1: think a lot of things have to click for it
- 43:42Speaker 1: to go right and i don't know if they will
- 43:44Speaker 1: and i think they're like a hair away from things
- 43:47Speaker 1: um just going super sideways um bro you said b
- 43:52Speaker 1: needs a partner to trade for a back of nose
- 43:54Speaker 1: tackle that's crazy when holly and the rams gm are
- 43:56Speaker 1: trading for superstars every year oh that's good for them
- 43:59Speaker 1: that's two examples they also give up a ton of
- 44:01Speaker 1: assets to do it i don't know if bean's gonna
- 44:03Speaker 1: want to do that um And also, they're the only
- 44:06Speaker 1: real example. Howie Roseman's been making deals, sure. The Rams
- 44:12Speaker 1: have done a couple, not every year. The Rams, yeah,
- 44:16Speaker 1: they got Vaughn several years ago. They got Garrett now.
- 44:19Speaker 1: They also gave up a ton of stuff to do that.
- 44:22Speaker 1: I just don't think it's apples to apples. And the
- 44:24Speaker 1: Rams aren't trading for superstars every year. The Eagles are
- 44:27Speaker 1: making good moves every year. They're not trading for superstars
- 44:30Speaker 1: every year. But still, that's two out of 32 teams.
- 44:34Speaker 1: That's not high odds. Those are two out of 32
- 44:37Speaker 1: teams in the NFL that are making a lot of
- 44:41Speaker 1: deadline deals or trades or making these acquisitions. That's not
- 44:44Speaker 1: happening across the entirety of the NFL. It's just not
- 44:50Speaker 1: a thing you see. Do deals get done? Sure. Yeah.
- 44:56Speaker 1: For a multitude of teams. I know you said backup no's.
- 44:59Speaker 1: They don't send a first for that. I don't know
- 45:00Speaker 1: why you're getting all... pissy because i i said it
- 45:05Speaker 1: do i think he'll trade at the deadline i just
- 45:06Speaker 1: think trades are harder to execute you need you need
- 45:10Speaker 1: a quality player to be available because they've already got
- 45:13Speaker 1: backup noses so in order to get a backup nose
- 45:17Speaker 1: you it needs to be somebody of a higher caliber
- 45:19Speaker 1: than the backup noses you already have so you have
- 45:21Speaker 1: to have a team that has a surplus there or
- 45:25Speaker 1: is out of the race and those pieces are just
- 45:28Speaker 1: harder to kind of fit in. I don't think it's
- 45:31Speaker 1: as easy as like, Oh, well, let's just go get
- 45:32Speaker 1: a backup nose. I don't think it's that easy. I mean,
- 45:36Speaker 1: also too, they had an opportunity to get backup noses
- 45:41Speaker 1: to do through the, through the off season. And they
- 45:43Speaker 1: sat on their hands and ended up getting Greg Gaines.
- 45:46Speaker 1: Now I would love for him to solidify that spot.
- 45:49Speaker 1: I just, I just think trades are harder than, than
- 45:55Speaker 1: we think they are. And I'm not trying to get
- 45:57Speaker 1: being the benefit of the doubt because I, I'm not
- 46:01Speaker 1: the biggest fan of B. Um, and I, yeah, I,
- 46:05Speaker 1: I agree with you. Just wish the GM would make one.
- 46:07Speaker 1: I'm right there with you, man. Um, yeah, I, uh,
- 46:10Speaker 1: I don't know. I'm still, I, I, I still have
- 46:13Speaker 1: questions on this roster. I think being should have been
- 46:15Speaker 1: fired along with Sean McDermott. I think being is to
- 46:18Speaker 1: blame for a lot of the shortcomings, just as Sean
- 46:20Speaker 1: McDermott is. Um, I just, even for me, I, as
- 46:24Speaker 1: much as I'd like to see him make more moves,
- 46:26Speaker 1: even a ton of the guys I wanted them to
- 46:27Speaker 1: see it sign. Um, I recognize maybe he did try
- 46:31Speaker 1: to sign those guys and they just didn't want to
- 46:33Speaker 1: come here. You never know. Um, no, you're good, man. I, I, I,
- 46:37Speaker 1: I know you're good. I you're fine. You're fine. No
- 46:40Speaker 1: worries at all, man. This is, this is good conversation.
- 46:42Speaker 1: I you're all good. Don't worry. Don't worry. Don't worry.
- 46:44Speaker 1: I feel he said just max. He's the GM. Still.
- 46:47Speaker 1: I feel you. I feel you. That's fair. That's super fair.
- 46:52Speaker 1: Andy says, uh, gain is fine as a backup nose tackle. Sure. Sure.
- 46:59Speaker 1: maybe i scouted him i don't think it was i
- 47:03Speaker 1: don't remember i think it was this off season um
- 47:06Speaker 1: i remember i scouted him i stopped after like a
- 47:07Speaker 1: game and a half because i just didn't like the
- 47:09Speaker 1: tape um i think fine sure i would prefer someone
- 47:16Speaker 1: of a higher caliber um especially with how much i
- 47:19Speaker 1: think teams are going to try and run against the
- 47:21Speaker 1: bills um and I don't think they have enough studs
- 47:25Speaker 1: around along the rest of the line to make him
- 47:27Speaker 1: truly like good fine. But is he fine? Sure. I
- 47:30Speaker 1: just think it's more bottom level type of deal. Um, yeah.
- 47:33Speaker 1: See right there for you. TVB RJ's right there with you. I,
- 47:37Speaker 1: I am in agreement about being as well. I, um,
- 47:42Speaker 1: I don't know. I, I've tried to make my peace
- 47:44Speaker 1: with being, cause I just don't see him going anywhere.
- 47:46Speaker 1: Like unless the, unless this team bottoms out and goes
- 47:48Speaker 1: like one in 16, I don't think Brandon bean is
- 47:50Speaker 1: going anywhere. Um, So I kind of just made my peace.
- 47:56Speaker 1: And I also don't know, Andy says that Bean wasn't
- 47:58Speaker 1: a cap savant. He may have gotten fired. I don't
- 48:00Speaker 1: know if I'd call him a cap savant. All he
- 48:02Speaker 1: really does is just add void years onto every single contract.
- 48:07Speaker 1: I mean, part of the reason we haven't been able
- 48:09Speaker 1: to make moves is because of like the Larry Ogunjobi contract,
- 48:12Speaker 1: for example, and the Dawson Knox contract that he gave out. Yes,
- 48:15Speaker 1: Knox eventually, you know, has reworked his deal multiple times,
- 48:20Speaker 1: but I don't want to go too down the rabbit
- 48:23Speaker 1: hole with Bean, but there's a lot of questionable moves
- 48:26Speaker 1: that Bean has made and acquisitions that Bean has signed
- 48:29Speaker 1: off on and gone through. It's tough. It's tough. Ooh,
- 48:35Speaker 1: AJ says they need prime star Latulale. Man, prime star
- 48:38Speaker 1: Latulale was sick. Even young, like year two star Latulale
- 48:42Speaker 1: on that Panthers defense. Granted, the Panthers were like loaded
- 48:45Speaker 1: at defense. So I guess I could be good in
- 48:49Speaker 1: that role. But yeah, prime star was sick. Oh, this
- 48:52Speaker 1: is a good comment from UTVB saying, and we pay
- 48:54Speaker 1: everyone who's a solid player instead of a big splash player.
- 48:56Speaker 1: I do agree. I think we pay premium dollars for
- 49:01Speaker 1: good players or like decent to good players, which is fine,
- 49:07Speaker 1: but that precludes us from getting the top tier or
- 49:11Speaker 1: higher tier players. So it's tough. Oh, this is what
- 49:18Speaker 1: I said from Josh. I think it's simple to say
- 49:19Speaker 1: you want being fired, but having someone take his place
- 49:21Speaker 1: is super risky. Almost always. It will be someone with
- 49:24Speaker 1: little experience. Yeah. It was my same argument for, um,
- 49:26Speaker 1: Sean McDermott. I was okay. If Sean McDermott would have left. Um,
- 49:29Speaker 1: I was okay. If Sean McDermott stayed, I don't think
- 49:32Speaker 1: the grass is always greener. You could get a head
- 49:34Speaker 1: coach to replace McDermott. Who could be better? Who could
- 49:36Speaker 1: be the same? Who could be worse? You never know. Um,
- 49:39Speaker 1: The one thing I am going to kick myself with
- 49:40Speaker 1: the Sean McDermott conversation is if Brady doesn't work out
- 49:44Speaker 1: and this thing goes sideways and Ben Johnson continues to
- 49:47Speaker 1: look good, then it's going to be like, oh, did
- 49:48Speaker 1: we fire Sean McDermott a year too late? And would
- 49:51Speaker 1: Ben Johnson have come here instead of going to Chicago? Oh,
- 49:56Speaker 1: good comment here from Roy too. Yeah, he also overpays
- 49:57Speaker 1: for mid-level free agent talent. That is fair. That is fair.
- 50:00Speaker 1: That is fair. That is fair. Oh, good comment here
- 50:03Speaker 1: from Matt. Yeah, Benford contract is a huge bargain. Absolutely.
- 50:05Speaker 1: The Benford contract is very, very, very good. He's got
- 50:08Speaker 1: some good ones. He's not completely flawed. I just don't
- 50:11Speaker 1: think he's... Like, I don't think he's a top 10 GM.
- 50:17Speaker 1: I don't think he's a top 10 GM. Oh, that'd
- 50:21Speaker 1: be interesting to kind of rank GMs. That would be
- 50:23Speaker 1: an interesting one. I wanted to go... Someone said... Is
- 50:30Speaker 1: this true that Brady confirmed... I'm thinking you mean Hairston.
- 50:35Speaker 1: Max Hairston is the starter in the post-game press conference.
- 50:37Speaker 1: I think this will be interesting. This will be interesting
- 50:43Speaker 1: if Max Hairston is the starter at this point. I
- 50:46Speaker 1: think corner two in general is an interesting conversation. I
- 50:54Speaker 1: think it makes sense to start Hairston, but even if
- 50:57Speaker 1: Hairston's the starter, I still think you're going to see IGB.
- 51:02Speaker 1: I'm interested to see what the timeshare looks like. I'm
- 51:05Speaker 1: interested to see if it's... Granted, this was years ago.
- 51:09Speaker 1: What was, I think it was the year the Bills
- 51:11Speaker 1: lost to the Texans in the playoffs. What was the
- 51:13Speaker 1: corner rotation? It was Trey on one side, and I
- 51:15Speaker 1: think the other side was like Kevin Johnson and Levi Wallace,
- 51:18Speaker 1: if I remember correctly. Okay, copy. Thank everybody in the
- 51:21Speaker 1: chat for Brady confirming that. Yeah, I think it was
- 51:22Speaker 1: Kevin Johnson and Levi Wallace who rotated on the other side.
- 51:26Speaker 1: I don't know if we'll necessarily get that. That was
- 51:27Speaker 1: almost like a 50-50 timeshare. I don't know if we'll
- 51:30Speaker 1: necessarily get that. And again, we were even doing some
- 51:36Speaker 1: timeshare stuff last year. Um, but it's, it's for what's
- 51:40Speaker 1: interesting too, is IGB and Hairston are both such different
- 51:48Speaker 1: players at corner. And so I do wonder, like, do they, sorry,
- 51:53Speaker 1: I moved a little too much with the camera out
- 51:54Speaker 1: of focus and it's driving me insane. Um, do they
- 51:56Speaker 1: platoon them? Is it kind of like, You've got multiple
- 52:00Speaker 1: hitters and you're like, well, this guy hits lefties well
- 52:02Speaker 1: and this guy hits righties well. So you rotate each day.
- 52:05Speaker 1: If you're facing a lefty pitcher, you know this guy
- 52:08Speaker 1: is going to play. If you're playing a righty, you
- 52:10Speaker 1: know this other guy is going to play. I do
- 52:13Speaker 1: expect to see IGB. I just don't know in what capacity.
- 52:18Speaker 1: And even if Hairston is the starter, I still think
- 52:21Speaker 1: you're going to see IGB. I also don't think Hairston
- 52:25Speaker 1: stays healthy for an entire season. So I'm not even
- 52:27Speaker 1: talking about the injury aspect, just from pure rotation and
- 52:30Speaker 1: I think matchup stuff, you're going to see IGB. But
- 52:34Speaker 1: I think Hairston will get hurt at some point. And
- 52:37Speaker 1: I don't mean to be negative about that. He's got
- 52:40Speaker 1: an injury history going back to Kentucky. He's been injured
- 52:42Speaker 1: both these two years. I just think he's going to
- 52:45Speaker 1: get banged up at some point and we're going to
- 52:46Speaker 1: see IGB. And then we'll see. I mean, I'm not
- 52:50Speaker 1: completely against either. We'll see. Yeah. Oh, comment here. Bean's
- 52:57Speaker 1: best talent. I'm assuming we mean Bean, not Brands. But
- 52:59Speaker 1: Bean's best talent is filling out the 53, but he
- 53:02Speaker 1: doesn't bring in enough blue chip talent into the organization. Yeah,
- 53:04Speaker 1: it's funny. I think Bean has been better. I think
- 53:07Speaker 1: Brandon Bean is good in rounds four through six. He
- 53:12Speaker 1: does a good job, I think, getting useful NFL contributing
- 53:17Speaker 1: talent where others necessarily don't. And I think that's why...
- 53:23Speaker 1: you get a bunch of B minus to B guys
- 53:28Speaker 1: at times. And some B pluses sprinkled in there. But
- 53:31Speaker 1: at the same time, you're missing out on A minuses
- 53:34Speaker 1: and A's and A pluses. Yeah, great way to say
- 53:37Speaker 1: it from Tim here. Bean has a way better floor
- 53:41Speaker 1: than ceiling. Absolutely. I think Brandon Bean is a raise
- 53:43Speaker 1: the floor type of GM. He will consistently have your
- 53:47Speaker 1: roster at like an 82 to an 85, which is good,
- 53:53Speaker 1: but you're not hitting that 90. You don't have a
- 53:56Speaker 1: ton of players that are in the nineties, but overall
- 53:58Speaker 1: you're like, you know what? Yeah. 82 to 85. And
- 54:00Speaker 1: that's good enough every year to constantly be in the picture.
- 54:03Speaker 1: And in order to, you know, to, to dance, you
- 54:06Speaker 1: got to get a ticket and they usually get a
- 54:08Speaker 1: ticket every single year, which is a good thing. And
- 54:10Speaker 1: all fairness to, I was even, Josh brings this up.
- 54:12Speaker 1: He says, Von Miller definitely keeps that, uh, guy being
- 54:15Speaker 1: up at night, like beans, big swing was Von Miller.
- 54:18Speaker 1: And it worked like, Von Miller was the prince that
- 54:21Speaker 1: was promised, and he was the closer, and then he
- 54:22Speaker 1: got hurt, which is unfortunate, big time. But yeah, I
- 54:31Speaker 1: wish they had more top-tier talent, and I wish they
- 54:38Speaker 1: didn't necessarily pay their homegrown guys. I know that's been
- 54:43Speaker 1: their model, right? You draft well, you re-sign those guys,
- 54:46Speaker 1: and you rinse and repeat. But I think some of
- 54:47Speaker 1: the guys they've re-signed even though the deal ends up
- 54:51Speaker 1: looking fine financially, like two or three years down the road,
- 54:54Speaker 1: in some cases, I still think it's guys that you
- 54:56Speaker 1: don't necessarily, you shouldn't have paid and you could have
- 54:59Speaker 1: gone elsewhere to get better talent and better opportunities, but yeah,
- 55:04Speaker 1: such as life. Matt says with week one question with
- 55:08Speaker 1: Benford on Nico, who is max matched against booty? I
- 55:13Speaker 1: don't know the widers, the Texans wide receivers well enough.
- 55:16Speaker 1: That's a fair question. I wonder if, With Booty getting
- 55:20Speaker 1: traded there now, I wonder how much he jumps in.
- 55:23Speaker 1: So essentially, Jalen Higgins, who was their wide receiver too,
- 55:28Speaker 1: and their move guy, who was going to be a
- 55:29Speaker 1: nice piece, he tore his ACL. So then the Texans
- 55:32Speaker 1: get Booty, and essentially you're looking at roughly a top
- 55:36Speaker 1: three of Nico Collins, Jalen Knoll, and Keyshawn Booty. Jalen
- 55:40Speaker 1: Knoll was more of a slot wide receiver. He's not
- 55:42Speaker 1: really playing outside. You're putting Harrison on either Booty or
- 55:45Speaker 1: Xavier Hutchinson. Um, I don't know how ready tank Dell
- 55:49Speaker 1: is going to be. I don't think Jalen Knoll is
- 55:51Speaker 1: going to play a ton outside. So likely you are
- 55:54Speaker 1: getting Max Hairston against either booty or Xavier Hutchinson. Um,
- 56:00Speaker 1: maybe against Nico at some point, but I would fear
- 56:03Speaker 1: that matchup 1000%. I mean, I would fear that for
- 56:05Speaker 1: most guys against Nico Collins. I think Nico Collins is
- 56:07Speaker 1: a top five wide receiver in the NFL. Um, and
- 56:10Speaker 1: he's just been forgotten about cause he got hurt last
- 56:12Speaker 1: year and the Texans offensive line has been absolutely terrible. Um, Yeah,
- 56:19Speaker 1: I would say it'll either be booty or, um, Xavier Hutchinson,
- 56:22Speaker 1: probably a rotation of both. I don't know how acclimated
- 56:25Speaker 1: booty is going to get, be in the offense or to,
- 56:27Speaker 1: to the playbook and ready, um, come start a week one,
- 56:31Speaker 1: but we'll see. We'll see. We'll see. We'll see. Oh,
- 56:34Speaker 1: AJ says tanked Alverson D Alford. Yeah, we'll see. I
- 56:36Speaker 1: don't know if it's going to be tanked Alverson D Alford,
- 56:38Speaker 1: or it'll be more Jalen Noverson D Alford. I love
- 56:41Speaker 1: tanked Al. I really hope he's ready and raring to go. Um,
- 56:44Speaker 1: I'm encouraged by what he did in camp. I love, man,
- 56:46Speaker 1: I love the Texans so much. I'm excited to see
- 56:50Speaker 1: that week one game from a football standpoint, but as
- 56:53Speaker 1: a Bills fan, I'm terrified. Yeah, as a pure football
- 56:56Speaker 1: lover and watcher and tape breaker downer, I'm so excited
- 57:01Speaker 1: for Bills versus Texans, but as a Bills fan, I
- 57:03Speaker 1: am absolutely terrified. What else, what else, what else? Tim
- 57:09Speaker 1: says we can thank Vaughn for the grass in our
- 57:11Speaker 1: new stadium. That's fair. Christian says, what do you think
- 57:14Speaker 1: about the Texans O line versus our D line? I
- 57:17Speaker 1: tell you, that's the thing I'm thinking of the most
- 57:20Speaker 1: because you can play devil's advocate either way. The Texans
- 57:23Speaker 1: O line was bad last year and their run game
- 57:25Speaker 1: was terrible. And the bills run defense last year was
- 57:28Speaker 1: absolutely terrible. So if the Texans run all over the
- 57:33Speaker 1: bills from a Texas perspective, you could be like, well,
- 57:36Speaker 1: our run game might not be fixed. The bills defense
- 57:38Speaker 1: is just still bad against the run. Um, On the
- 57:41Speaker 1: other side, if the Bills' defense shows out against the run,
- 57:44Speaker 1: it might be, eh, you know what, the Texans' run
- 57:46Speaker 1: game still sucks. It is what it is. I'm interested
- 57:50Speaker 1: to see who wins that battle. I'm more interested to
- 57:54Speaker 1: see how the Bills' defensive line does against the Lions'
- 57:57Speaker 1: offensive line in Week 2, even though it's a short week.
- 58:00Speaker 1: But for purely Week 1, I think the Bills could
- 58:04Speaker 1: have at least an even matchup, but I don't think
- 58:08Speaker 1: it screams Texans' advantage. Um, but what I think is
- 58:12Speaker 1: going to be interesting is it, I think it's a
- 58:15Speaker 1: good enough offensive line to keep the Texans offense on
- 58:18Speaker 1: schedule this year. But I also think it's an offensive
- 58:21Speaker 1: line that if you have dudes, you can win one-on-one
- 58:25Speaker 1: and win matchups. And so that's what I'm interested to see. Like,
- 58:29Speaker 1: are the bills, can the bills win one-on-one? Does Chubb
- 58:31Speaker 1: get some wins? Does Oliver get some wins? Does group
- 58:33Speaker 1: get some wins? Does Walker get a wins, some wins?
- 58:36Speaker 1: do you get some kind of stuff in that regard?
- 58:38Speaker 1: Oh yeah. Good call from TVB. Yeah. Braden Smith. I
- 58:41Speaker 1: read earlier today, like he avoided a disastrous, like out
- 58:44Speaker 1: for the year injury, but he is going to miss
- 58:46Speaker 1: some time. So that's advantage bills as well. I would
- 58:51Speaker 1: probably say advantage bills. But like close, like 55, 45.
- 59:05Speaker 1: Question here. Do you think the game plays out similar
- 59:07Speaker 1: to how we played the Texans last year? Yeah, I
- 59:09Speaker 1: think it'll be close. I think the Bills need to
- 59:12Speaker 1: run the hell out of the ball. I think they
- 59:14Speaker 1: need to go heavy and either put Jalen Petrie in
- 59:16Speaker 1: the run fit against Jackson Hawes and Dawson Knox or
- 59:20Speaker 1: make the Texans play with a third linebacker on the field.
- 59:25Speaker 1: I think it's going to be a close game. I
- 59:26Speaker 1: think it's going to be a fight. I think it's
- 59:27Speaker 1: going to be violent. I think it's going to be intense.
- 59:31Speaker 1: I'm very interested to see what happens. But yeah, I
- 59:34Speaker 1: think it'll be close, and I think the key is
- 59:35Speaker 1: going to start with the Bills being able to run
- 59:37Speaker 1: the ball because I don't want to live in a
- 59:40Speaker 1: world where the Texans know the pass is coming because
- 59:43Speaker 1: I still feel better about the Bills wide receivers. Lassiter
- 59:47Speaker 1: and Stingley are elite, and then you've got Anderson and Hunter,
- 59:51Speaker 1: so I don't want to play that game. Nick says,
- 59:58Speaker 1: do you think people are feeling the Texans too much?
- 59:59Speaker 1: I get, they have a great defense, but the past
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: two seasons we were a play away from winning and
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: our team has gotten better. Um, I mean, I guess
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: it depends on who you ask. Like, so I'm probably
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: also the wrong person to ask. So like for reference, uh,
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: the Texans are my pick to win the AFC this year.
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: I think their offense will be good enough to be
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: like 15th to 12th or 11th, somewhere in that range.
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: And I think their defense is going to be the
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: best in football and it's going to be absolutely lights out.
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: But the problem is that the defense isn't that great again.
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: And they can't carry the offense or if the offense falters,
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: they can get kind in some worrisome situations. Despite the
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: fact that I think like the Texans, again, are my
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: pick to come out of the AFC. I still think
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: the AFC is open. I think the Texans could win
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: the AFC. I think the Ravens could win the AFC. Honestly,
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: the only reason really to not only, but I picked
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: the Ravens the last like three years. They're, they're just cursed.
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: They just can't get out of their own way. They
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: get hurt all the time. They make some of the
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: worst decisions and it's not even Lamar. Like their guys
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: just forget how to play football all the time. It's
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: the weirdest thing. Like their roster is great. I love
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: Jesse Minter, but for whatever reason, the Ravens can never
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: get out of their own way. But I think the
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: Texans could go to the Superbowl. I think the Ravens
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: could go to the Superbowl. I think the bills could
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: go to the Superbowl. I think the Broncos could go
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: to the Superbowl. Those, Those are probably my top four.
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: Not necessarily in that order, but my top four for
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: the AFC would be some combination of the Texans, Ravens, Broncos, Bills. Yes,
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: I think the Bills are super close every year. I
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: think the Bills are going to be close this year.
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: It's just going to be a matter of can they
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: win those margins is where we're at. But I think
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: it's right to fear the Texans' defense. I think it's
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: fair to still doubt the offense and be skeptical. But
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: I might be the wrong guy to ask because they're
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: my pick to win the AFC. AJ says, can Leonard
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: elevate the ceiling of Oliver Rousseau, or are they what
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: they are? I think he can put them in situations
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: to take advantage of their skill set more. But despite that,
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: I still don't think Rousseau's ceiling is an edge, too,
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: as a pass rusher. I think he's more of a
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: Robin than he is a Batman. Run defender, we know
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: what he is. I still think Leonard can put them
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: both in more advantageous situations, but I still don't think
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: either is a superstar. I think they're both effective. And
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: I don't even want to say useful because I think
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: useful is underselling them. I think they're both like B
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: plus level players, which is good. Like that's a good thing.
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: I don't think either of them are A's. I don't
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: think either of them are superstars. I think Oliver flashes
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: superstar ability more than Rousseau. Oliver has moments where he's
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: taken over a game and just wins over and over
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: and over again. The divisional game where we lost to
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: Kansas City two years ago in Buffalo, like he whooped
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: Tooney in that game. And that was like all pro
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: high level Tooney. Ed was just all over him left
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: and right and looked phenomenal. I believe it was that game. Yeah,
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: it was. But then Ed has moments where he completely disappears.
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: So I think Ed flashes high. I think Ed flashes
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: A-level play at times, but then dips and ebbs and flows. Russo,
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: I think, is just consistently like a B-plus type of guy. Oh,
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: this is fair. Two of my favorite beam picks are
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: Josh Allen and James Cook. I think that's fair. Good
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: call here from James. Yeah. Spencer Brown was hurt last
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: year against the Texans. Yeah. He was playing with like
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: one shoulder and they still decided to just like leave
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: him on an island against Will Anderson, which is crazy.
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: Roy says, what happened to rookie Stroud? The offensive line
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: is what happened to rookie Stroud. They've been decimated with
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: injuries and then they've also been not good. And then
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: they've had inconsistent coordinator play. It's not all like, he's not,
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: Completely excused. He hasn't played great, but there's been a
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: lot going wrong with the offense. And then Nico Collins
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: gets hurt. Yeah, there's a lot going on. A lot, lot,
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: lot going on. It was a good conversation. You know
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: what else is good? The best pizza in Buffalo, New York.
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: One Pie Pizza. If you live in Buffalo or you're
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: visiting Buffalo or you've been to Buffalo and you have
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: not gotten yourself some One Pie Pizza, you are sincerely
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: missing out. They are the best pizza in Buffalo, New York.
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: I don't say that because they sponsor the show. They
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: sponsor the show because I sincerely believe they are the
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: best pizza in Buffalo, New York. Get yourself some one-pie pizza,
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: cup and char pepperoni, sweet sauce pie, homemade blue cheese.
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: They make good salads. They make a killer breakfast pizza.
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: They have a catering division called Elevated Catering of Buffalo.
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: So if you're doing events, summer's starting to come to
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: an end, but you got Labor Day stuff coming up.
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: If you want them to cater something with real food,
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: like chicken and rice dishes. And again, their salads, their
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: Mac and cheeses, they got a ton of variety of those. The,
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: you can still get the pizza on top of it.
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: Like their food is just top notch, top tier, top
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: quality stuff. And they're really good people on top of it.
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: I always say they're really good people making really good food.
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: They do a lot for the community of Buffalo at large,
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: pardon with Roswell, the knockout cancer, pardon with the SPCA,
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: the Alzheimer's foundation toys for tots. They're absolutely phenomenal. Get
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: yourself some One Pie Pizza if you have not already.
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: You will not be disappointed. Again, I don't vouch for
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: them because they're a sponsor. They are only a sponsor
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: because I love the food. I had reached out to
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: another pizza spot several years ago as a potential sponsor.
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: They saw me do that on Twitter, reached out to
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: me instead, offered to give me a free pie and
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: test them out and see what they think, and I
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: tasted it, and it was amazing, and I've never gone back.
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: So get yourself some One Pie Pizza. I'm going to
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: start to grab some more comments as we go through.
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: I did not see what happened to Zane. Um, but
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: I'm worried and we'll see what happens. Yes. RJ. RJ says,
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: I just had the breakfast pizza last week after the
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: early practice. It was the best breakfast pizza I ever had.
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: RJ knows. RJ knows balls. Ball. Sorry. I'm so tired.
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: My fault. Oh man. End of the week, man. That's funny.
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: But yeah, RJ knows ball. Best breakfast pizza he's ever had.
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: It's good. Uh, cookbooks game says, do you condense formations
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: against the Texans defense to help protection or you spread
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: them out to see what they were in? Super good question. Um,
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: my only issue with spreading them out to see what
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: they're in, they're not going to do a ton of disguising.
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: You're like, you kind of know what you're going to
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: get with the Texans. They're going to play a bunch
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: of quarters. They're going to play a bunch of cover three.
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: They're going to play a bunch of cover one. Um,
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: They're going to mainly play quarters and cover three on
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: early downs. And then depending on if you run it
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: or they get you behind the sticks, they'll flip to
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: the other based off of what you're doing. But at
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: the end of the day, like spreading, spreading a defense
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: out helps from a spatial standpoint, but also helps you
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: like ID what they're doing for a team that wants
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: to disguise a bunch. The problem is the Texans aren't
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: doing that a ton. Like the Texans whole MO is
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: we have really good players and we play really violent
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: and really fast. Good luck. like that's it. There's no,
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: not to downplay what they do because they're, they're not
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: a dumb defense and they're not unsound or, but they're
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: not the most creative. They're not doing what Seattle's defense
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: is doing and all these creative pressures and all these
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: creative looks like their whole thing. And, and Seattle is
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: awesome too, because they're so creative and sound, but they
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: also have really good like dudes on their side. Um,
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: But the Texans are purely just like, hey, we've got
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: some of the best dudes in the league at their positions.
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: Try and beat them. Good luck. So you can spread
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: them out, but you still got to beat Stingley. You
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: still got to beat Lassiter. And then also, if you're
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: spreading out, then, like you said, then are you in
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: more five-man protections against that front? And again, it's not
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: just Anderson and Hunter. It's also Sheldon Rankins, who is
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: nasty as a pass rusher. And they just have such
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: a rotation, let alone the top-tier dudes. So you could
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: go spread and then do little stuff like keep a
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: tight end to chip in, or you could hip the
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: running back off one tackle, the tight end off the other,
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: give yourself some chip help, and then release into the
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: flats or the underneath. I think you go condense to
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: mash them. I'm not going to try and out-skill the
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: Texans if I'm the Bills or really any offense, but
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: especially the Bills. No disrespect to the Bills, and please,
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: nobody yell at me here. You don't have the horses
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: to run. with the Texans. Will Anderson, Daniil Hunter are
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: all pro level dudes. Derek Stingley is an all pro
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: level dude. Kamari Lassiter is an all pro level dude.
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: More all pro like, you know, second team than he
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: is first team like Stingley, but he's still sick. Jalen
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: Petrie is sick. Like even Kalen Bullock and Reed Blankenship
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: are like high quality role players. Al Shayer is a
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: pure heat seeking missile. He is not a red shell
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: in Mario Kart. He is a spike shell in Mario Kart.
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: And then Henry Toto next to him is a red
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: shell like so you've got this skill and yes they
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: play with violence but you can't out skill them i
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: think you have to mash them and it's crazy considering
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: part of again their defense is hey You know, we're
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: super skilled, but we also want to run through your face.
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: I think you have to match it and say, oh, cool,
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: you want to run through our face? We're going to
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: run through your face. So I think you go heavy.
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: I think you go condensed. I'm running duo right down
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: their throat as much as I possibly can. But it's
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: going to be tough. You know, again, you got Tommy Togiai,
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: who's a really good run stuffer on the interior. They
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: got Caden McDonald. Anderson is a monster against the run.
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: Hunter's no slouch against the run. And the second and
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: third level dudes all fit the run. You're kind of screwed.
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: screwed no matter what you do. I do think you
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: mix it a little bit. I think you, you know,
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: I think you spread them out a little bit, try
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: and work the interior. You know, I think you can
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: beat Petrie for as versatile and awesome as Petrie is.
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: I think, you know, if I can get Dalton Kincaid
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: matched up against Jalen Petrie, I'll take Dalton Kincaid in
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: that matchup. If I can get Dalton Kincaid matched up
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: against their linebackers, I'll take Dalton Kincaid. If I can
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: get Dalton Kincaid matched up against Blankenship, I'll take that.
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: I think you have to work in between the numbers
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: more than you do outside because I don't want to
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: go and fight fire with fire with Stingley and Lasseter.
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: So I think you spread them out from time to time,
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: see what you can get, rely on Allen's legs a
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: little bit as well. But I think it starts with
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: the run game and mash and run right at them
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: and try and fight fire with fire from a condensed
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: formation and run standpoint. Cause though you get into the
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: spread game, it turns into more skill and not that
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: the bills aren't skilled, but they're just not skilled like
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: the Texans are skilled because the Texans are just loaded
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: with all pros everywhere. Oh, I saw this earlier, yeah.
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: Laura says, Will Anderson and Miles Garrett have some commercial
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: partnership and watching them together in reels is insane. Yeah,
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: I saw them doing some workout where they were like
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: sitting on a bench and jumping up, like doing plyometric
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: training and jumping up onto some bags or some platforms,
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: and they just like flow into the air. Like, it's crazy.
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: It's crazy, crazy. Yeah, fair comment, too. If I can
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: get Cook out in space– against Toto and Al Shayer. Yeah. Um,
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: it's a game where I'm not relying. If I'm when
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: I'm passing the ball, I'm not going to the wide receivers.
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: I'm going to Kincaid. I'm going to Knox. I'm going
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: to cook. I'm even going to Hawes a little bit.
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: I think it's a running back run game and a
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: running back and tight end pass game. Um, and then
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: you try and bang with them and mash with them
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: and you go from there. Um, but yeah, I would,
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: I would spread them out a little bit here and there,
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: but I'd, I'd go to what's worked for you the
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: past several years, which is let's run the football. Let's
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: go under center play action. Let's suck in the second
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: level if we can, and then win in the intermediate
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: and go from there. Good question. I'm excited. I hope
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: you folks enjoyed this episode. We kind of went off
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: the path and stopped talking about the preseason game and
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: started talking more about the future and week one and
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: all this stuff. So I enjoyed this conversation. I hope

- 1:12:44Speaker 1: again with my schedule again. We stopped doing the Tuesday
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: live shows at night. I've been doing film episodes more.
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: I'm still incorporating that in Tuesdays. We'll definitely be doing
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: a Tuesday preview episode for Bill's Texans, which I'm excited about.
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: I should be doing a Tuesday episode next week. And
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: then I'll still keep working in film stuff. So I
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: hope you folks enjoyed this episode. I hope you enjoy
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: the rest of your Thursday night. Enjoy your Friday. Enjoy
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: the weekend. I'm going to try and fit in a
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: film breakdown on something as soon as possible here. Maybe tomorrow.
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: I don't think I'm going to have time. Maybe probably
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: Saturday morning. Something drop. maybe on Skylar Bell, maybe on
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: something else. I got to watch the film and let
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: it speak to me and see what happens from there.
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: But I hope you folks enjoy the rest of your Thursday.
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: Enjoy the rest of your night and weekend. And sincerely, everybody,
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: thank you for tuning in. Yes, RJ says, oh, never mind.
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: You heard the rest after that. I see the never
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: mind left. Yeah, we will be back into our Tuesday
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: routine once we get into the regular season. It's been
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: the Bills playing on all these different times of preseason games.
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: And then I do the preseason postgame shows in the preseason.
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: And then with that film stuff, so it's just been wonky.
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: But as we get regular season, we will be back
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: into the 9 p.m. Tuesday slot. Thank you, everybody, for
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: tuning in. I sincerely hope you enjoyed this episode. Wherever
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: form or fashion your episode consumption comes in, I am
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: sincerely grateful for it and appreciative of it. Seriously, it's
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: cool to be able to do these shows and see
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: hundreds of people tuning in live. And yeah, the engagement
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: back and forth with each other, the engagement with myself.
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: Thank you to everybody for all your comments, questions, thoughts, concerns, everything.
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: it was thoughtful. And it, I, it allows me to
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: kind of just throw out my notes and just have
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: open and honest dialogue and conversation with everybody in the chat.
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: And those are the most fun episodes. Cause it's, it's like, I'm, I'm,
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: I mean, I am hosting them by myself, but it's like,
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: I have, you know, 300 co-hosts and it's just everybody
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: going back and forth and having a conversation with themselves,
