- 0:00Speaker 1: Welcome to a meeting of the minds crafted from decades
- 0:04Speaker 1: of talk show experience. An extension of the magic they've
- 0:08Speaker 1: created together on radio in the phenomenon called M & M.
- 0:12Speaker 1: Hot topics in the news and wisdom from life. It's
- 0:16Speaker 1: Mark Davis and Mike Gallagher. This is M & M Extra.
- 0:21Speaker 2: How good is M & M Extra? I'm embarrassed to
- 0:24Speaker 2: admit I sat in the car last night in the
- 0:26Speaker 2: parking garage for 40 minutes and listened to every word.
- 0:30Speaker 2: And I did it with Mark Davis. I'm Mike Gallagher.
- 0:32Speaker 2: Portions of our show, our podcast, M & M Extra,
- 0:36Speaker 2: sponsored by Preborn, where you could stand for life by
- 0:39Speaker 2: joining us in providing ultrasounds to girls and women. Just
- 0:42Speaker 2: go to preborn.com slash mmextra. We're so grateful for your support.
- 0:47Speaker 2: Preborn.com slash M M extra house. Am I a silly
- 0:52Speaker 2: goose or what?
- 0:53Speaker 3: I'm guilty to every once in a while because all,
- 0:56Speaker 3: all the podcasts that I subscribe, how many podcasts do
- 0:59Speaker 3: you subscribe to or listen to regularly?
- 1:03Speaker 2: Um, I don't know, five, 10. And almost, and.
- 1:09Speaker 3: Almost none of them political. I, I, I, I just
- 1:13Speaker 3: add there a lot of really, really good ones. but
- 1:15Speaker 3: I just don't because this is my life. This is
- 1:19Speaker 3: my world, the radio show hanging out here with you.
- 1:21Speaker 3: And I love it. I love being a purveyor of this.
- 1:23Speaker 3: My online, you know, doom scrolling and show prepping is
- 1:28Speaker 3: all about just, and which I love. I love, I love.
- 1:31Speaker 3: So when I'm in the car and it's time to
- 1:32Speaker 3: fire up a podcast, it's probably some history, some pop culture,
- 1:37Speaker 3: the Bill Maher thing. Billy Corgan of smashing pumpkins does
- 1:41Speaker 3: want to interviewing a lot of people in pop culture and,
- 1:43Speaker 3: It tends to be that. Why in the world did
- 1:45Speaker 3: I even start that? Oh, but since all the things
- 1:47Speaker 3: that I subscribe to, including us, bloop, pop onto my phone,
- 1:52Speaker 3: that if at a particular moment, you know, the red
- 1:54Speaker 3: light or just at a slow moment, I say, oh,
- 1:58Speaker 3: it's our most recent episode. Let's see how that went.
- 2:01Speaker 3: And I start it. And I can't get out of
- 2:04Speaker 3: the car.
- 2:05Speaker 2: And I was there for it when it happened. That's
- 2:07Speaker 2: the crazy part. We did it. We know how this ends.
- 2:10Speaker 2: I know how this movie ends. So what is that?
- 2:14Speaker 3: Is that just a weird, introspective, navel-gazing thing? I know
- 2:19Speaker 3: what it's like to do it, but to consume it
- 2:21Speaker 3: passively is just a completely different thing. And if people
- 2:25Speaker 3: are enjoying it as much as I am.
- 2:28Speaker 2: Well, we're enormously, we'll be in good shape. I mean,
- 2:31Speaker 2: we're just, I think we're both so enormously proud of it. And,
- 2:35Speaker 2: and we're, we love the way it's evolved. I mean,
- 2:38Speaker 2: what do we do? We hit, how about what, what
- 2:39Speaker 2: episodes was it a couple of weeks ago?
- 2:42Speaker 3: Jasmine told us about a hundred.
- 2:44Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:44Speaker 2: We had, we had our hundred, we had our hundredth
- 2:46Speaker 2: episode the other day.
- 2:48Speaker 3: When Yasmin mentioned that, I, because I mentioned when, when,
- 2:50Speaker 3: when Yasmin mentioned a hundred, I thought I was, I
- 2:52Speaker 3: was thinking more in terms of, and you know what? Well,
- 2:54Speaker 3: I'll tell you what I think in terms of days
- 2:56Speaker 3: and months and stuff, You know it's coming up in
- 2:58Speaker 3: a couple– the day after the election will be our six-month–
- 3:02Speaker 3: I can't say anniversary because that means a year. The
- 3:05Speaker 3: root of anniversary means year. It'll be our six-month observance
- 3:08Speaker 3: on November 4th because we started on the 4th of May.
- 3:11Speaker 2: I love that. I absolutely love that. I just love
- 3:13Speaker 2: what we're doing here, and we appreciate the podcast community.
- 3:16Speaker 2: And look, as it continues to grow and as this
- 3:19Speaker 2: little thing we call M & M Extra continues to build–
- 3:22Speaker 2: We've got a very special focus on Minnesota today. Remember that.
- 3:27Speaker 2: Keep that in your memory bank about Minnesota because this
- 3:31Speaker 2: is Minnesota Day on M & M Extra.
- 3:34Speaker 3: In a number of ways. In a couple of ways, yes.
- 3:37Speaker 2: In a way that we're going to bring Mark into
- 3:39Speaker 2: the fold of something that I have been very, very
- 3:42Speaker 2: fond of for years. been a staple on the Mike
- 3:45Speaker 2: Gallagher show. Now it's going to become a staple on
- 3:48Speaker 2: Eminem Extra. More on that. But I've just got to
- 3:51Speaker 2: start with Ilhan Omar. Now, Mark, and I'm not, let's
- 3:57Speaker 2: not be political for a moment. Let's just take our
- 3:59Speaker 2: hats off. We're not a couple of conservative big mouth hosts. We're,
- 4:04Speaker 2: we're just neutral observers. Couple of dudes. We just, we
- 4:08Speaker 2: just came here from Mars. We just landed, we just
- 4:10Speaker 2: landed from Mars and we're taking, we're taking in all
- 4:14Speaker 2: the landscape of politics, political figures, famous people, maybe not
- 4:18Speaker 2: so famous. Ilhan Omar, big fire brand from Minnesota, Somali. And,
- 4:25Speaker 2: you know, she's, she's just right in the middle of,
- 4:28Speaker 2: you know, criticizing Trump and conservatives and she's, defending the
- 4:33Speaker 2: Somali fraud in Minnesota. So she decides to do a
- 4:38Speaker 2: little rehabilitation this week, and she sits down with Chris
- 4:40Speaker 2: Hayes at MS Now. Yes. Chris Hayes does, as expected,
- 4:45Speaker 2: a fawning kiss-up interview. Flip-flop. Yeah, yeah. Okay, well, that's
- 4:50Speaker 2: baked into the cake. It's MS Now. He kind of
- 4:53Speaker 2: jokingly says, you know, there's this whole thing about you
- 4:56Speaker 2: marrying your brother.
- 4:58Speaker 3: Crazy conspiracy.
- 4:59Speaker 2: What do you mean? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. So the
- 5:02Speaker 2: normal response from, if I said to you, hey, is
- 5:07Speaker 2: Lisa your sister?
- 5:09Speaker 3: Is it possible?
- 5:12Speaker 2: Is it possible?
- 5:12Speaker 3: I will not hem and haw. I will not get
- 5:16Speaker 3: back to you. I'll not circle back.
- 5:17Speaker 2: Well, you'd give a pretty simple answer if I said,
- 5:21Speaker 2: are you biologically related to Lisa? In a millisecond, I.
- 5:25Speaker 3: Would say, no, I am not.
- 5:27Speaker 2: Now, that'd be a normal reaction, though. Of course. That's
- 5:30Speaker 2: a normal thing. Can I play for you what it
- 5:32Speaker 2: sounded like when Chris Hayes asked her that question this
- 5:36Speaker 2: week on MS Now?
- 5:38Speaker 3: Permission granted.
- 5:39Speaker 2: Brace yourself.
- 5:41Speaker 3: Well, you who was this man that was your husband?
- 5:44Speaker 3: When did they start saying that he was your brother? Why?
- 5:47Speaker 4: I started with the Somali blog that I don't know
- 5:53Speaker 4: if it still exists, but somebody put in there that,
- 5:56Speaker 4: you know, that he had to have been my brother
- 5:59Speaker 4: or something to that effect.
- 6:00Speaker 2: And right wing people.
- 6:03Speaker 4: Conspiracy theorists in Minneapolis got a hold of it, and
- 6:07Speaker 4: they just kind of went and, like, found random people
- 6:09Speaker 4: who were like, she introduced us. You know, she introduced
- 6:13Speaker 4: him to us and said he was her brother, which is,
- 6:18Speaker 4: you know, insane. I mean, I don't know those people
- 6:21Speaker 4: that they talk about.
- 6:23Speaker 3: You were not related to him at all. Not that.
- 6:26Speaker 2: There's not some.
- 6:27Speaker 3: Weird kernel of truth that's through some game of telephone.
- 6:30Speaker 4: Not to my knowledge.
- 6:32Speaker 2: Not to my knowledge.
- 6:33Speaker 4: Okay.
- 6:34Speaker 3: Is she being hearing it? Cause I read about it.
- 6:37Speaker 3: Not to my knowledge. He, he, he, is she be,
- 6:40Speaker 3: Oh God, this is Mark. This is grace. She does
- 6:43Speaker 3: not deserve.
- 6:44Speaker 2: Cause not to my knowledge.
- 6:47Speaker 3: Is she being ironically understated? Like when something, if you
- 6:52Speaker 3: would present something to me that was just really obvious.
- 6:55Speaker 2: And, Are you day drinking?
- 6:56Speaker 3: Like, Mark, are you a Soviet agent? Well, not to
- 7:00Speaker 3: my knowledge.
- 7:00Speaker 2: You know what I mean? Are you day drinking? She
- 7:03Speaker 2: ain't that smart. She's not being funny. She's not being subtle.
- 7:07Speaker 2: She said not to my– Mark, those four words would
- 7:11Speaker 2: never come out of a normal person's mouth when they said,
- 7:13Speaker 2: are you related to your husband biologically? But the fraud is– look,
- 7:21Speaker 2: let's look at the fraud that they've– and this is
- 7:23Speaker 2: why Michelle Tafoya might win. This fraud is something that
- 7:27Speaker 2: everybody in Minnesota is talking about, and they've tried to
- 7:30Speaker 2: suppress it. The Minneapolis Star Tribune, leftist rag, and it
- 7:35Speaker 2: is a rag. I mean, man, that is a full-blown,
- 7:39Speaker 2: far-lefties-run newspaper. They're doing their best to spin it. They're
- 7:44Speaker 2: trying to polish that turd. But here's what is fascinating,
- 7:47Speaker 2: and it turned out this was confirmed. Despite making up
- 7:51Speaker 2: of 2%, of Minnesota's population, Somalis account for 90% of
- 7:58Speaker 2: the fraud they've uncovered. Oh, man. Mark, think about that.
- 8:03Speaker 2: So with that in mind, let's stay in Minnesota for
- 8:05Speaker 2: a minute. Let me give you the mayor of Minneapolis,
- 8:08Speaker 2: Jacob Fry. Here's a winner. Yeah, oh, yeah. The guy,
- 8:12Speaker 2: and all I can think of with him is the
- 8:14Speaker 2: image of, Him on his knee.
- 8:17Speaker 3: Yeah, the George Floyd.
- 8:18Speaker 2: George Floyd's casket.
- 8:20Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 8:21Speaker 2: The gold casket because, of course, it was a gold casket.
- 8:24Speaker 3: Visiting head of state.
- 8:26Speaker 2: Yeah, right. Dignitary. And he's on his knee sobbing and
- 8:32Speaker 2: heaving and snot. I mean, he was just crying like
- 8:37Speaker 2: he had just lost. His whole family had just been
- 8:39Speaker 2: wiped out. You want to talk about performative, this is performative.
- 8:43Speaker 3: You read my mind in my favorite word. And listen,
- 8:45Speaker 3: we are normal human beings with hearts and minds and
- 8:49Speaker 3: brain stems. We can do an entire deep dive on
- 8:53Speaker 3: the whole George Floyd thing and how really tragic that was.
- 8:56Speaker 3: But the reaction to it and the handling of it
- 8:58Speaker 3: and the weirdness of the performative hyperbole surrounding it did
- 9:02Speaker 3: not serve us well.
- 9:04Speaker 2: Well, he continues. He's still doing what he does. I
- 9:08Speaker 2: give you Mayor Jacob Fry. He was at a Somali
- 9:11Speaker 2: networking night event. Check out what he said about the
- 9:17Speaker 2: Somalis in Minnesota.
- 9:19Speaker 5: One of the reasons that they were coming after you
- 9:23Speaker 5: is they saw the kind of economy and entrepreneurship that
- 9:29Speaker 5: you're helping to build. They saw suddenly that the CEOs
- 9:34Speaker 5: of the future are not all going to look like me.
- 9:39Speaker 5: The CEOs of the future are going to be from
- 9:42Speaker 5: a thousand different backgrounds. And so suddenly, you all are
- 9:48Speaker 5: creeping up in brilliant fashion. You're not just the CEOs
- 9:51Speaker 5: and entrepreneurs of tomorrow, but of right now.
- 9:54Speaker 2: You are showing that. Pander much? Pander much?
- 10:01Speaker 3: Just trying to make the room feel good. And my congressman,
- 10:05Speaker 3: Brandon Gill, in various moments in hearings, Texas District 26,
- 10:09Speaker 3: he asked this question of everybody. He said, look, I
- 10:13Speaker 3: know we're a nation of immigrants, people come in, etc.,
- 10:16Speaker 3: but we've lost track of the ability to ask Immigration
- 10:19Speaker 3: should be of value to the receiving country. And by
- 10:23Speaker 3: what measure has Somali immigration been a net positive for
- 10:28Speaker 3: Minnesota or a net positive for America and the degree
- 10:31Speaker 3: of fraud and welfare? It's just an undeniable point. And
- 10:37Speaker 3: how would you like to be? How would you like
- 10:38Speaker 3: to be the. The Somali immigrant guy who actually does
- 10:43Speaker 3: love America, who came here like somebody might from Mexico
- 10:46Speaker 3: or might from Nigeria or might from Denmark and who
- 10:50Speaker 3: loves America and learns the language and assimilates. Talk about
- 10:54Speaker 3: the guilt by association from the powerful majorities who are.
- 10:59Speaker 3: Are America hating fraudsters?
- 11:00Speaker 2: I'm sure there are plenty of them. That's what I mean.
- 11:03Speaker 2: I mean, we're not trying to condemn the Somali community
- 11:07Speaker 2: writ large. We're saying, but look, if 2% of the
- 11:10Speaker 2: Minnesota population is Somali and 90% of the fraud that's
- 11:14Speaker 2: been uncovered committed by Somalis, Houston, we got a problem.
- 11:19Speaker 3: It's a little disproportionate.
- 11:20Speaker 2: Now, let's keep it in Minnesota. I am so excited
- 11:24Speaker 2: to welcome... a longtime friend of the Mike Gallagher Show
- 11:28Speaker 2: to the M & M Extra podcast. My pillow! My
- 11:33Speaker 2: pillow is here. Look, you know, they got wind of
- 11:37Speaker 2: how much of a blast we're having on the M &
- 11:40Speaker 2: M Extra, and they said, hey, we want to be
- 11:41Speaker 2: a part of the fun. And my pillow has been
- 11:44Speaker 2: a staple of my show for, gosh, I'd like to know,
- 11:47Speaker 2: 10 years?
- 11:48Speaker 3: Well, more than that.
- 11:49Speaker 2: Definitely more than that. Yeah, sure.
- 11:51Speaker 3: I mean, I've been in Salem for 14 years. I
- 11:54Speaker 3: feel like you were doing MyPillow spots the day I arrived.
- 11:56Speaker 2: Well, because when I ordered one and I got the pillow,
- 12:00Speaker 2: and you're going to get your product here in the
- 12:01Speaker 2: next few days. Here we go, man. I couldn't believe
- 12:04Speaker 2: how great this pillow is. It never goes flat during
- 12:06Speaker 2: the night. It stays cool. You can throw it in
- 12:08Speaker 2: the washer and the dryer as often as you want.
- 12:10Speaker 2: It'll still retain its shape and its form and its
- 12:13Speaker 2: comfort level. It's an astounding pillow. But besides pillows, there's
- 12:18Speaker 2: so many great ways to get a good night's sleep,
- 12:21Speaker 2: like the Giza Dream Sheets. And I want you to
- 12:23Speaker 2: get a set of Giza Dream Sheets.
- 12:25Speaker 3: They are apparently on the way. I'm getting sheets and
- 12:28Speaker 3: I'm getting bath towels.
- 12:31Speaker 2: And they're thirsty bath towels. These are bath towels that
- 12:33Speaker 2: actually absorb the water. They're soft. They're luxurious. And as
- 12:37Speaker 2: a podcast community... I want you to support a great
- 12:40Speaker 2: American company like MyPillow. So go to MyPillow.com and at
- 12:45Speaker 2: the promo code to get great prices.

- 14:19Speaker 2: well done. Well done.
- 14:21Speaker 3: Boom. Look at that. And obviously a Minnesota-based operation there
- 14:25Speaker 3: at MyPillow. So once again, land of 10,000. It's Minnesota
- 14:29Speaker 3: week around here because there was Jude, not Jude Law.
- 14:32Speaker 3: What's Jude's name? He's running for Secretary of State.
- 14:35Speaker 2: Tad Jude. Tad Jude. Jude Law. You're close. Jude Law. Hey, Jude.
- 14:40Speaker 2: I don't know. Tad Jude.
- 14:41Speaker 3: Hey, Jude. I got more feedback about that. About people
- 14:46Speaker 3: who said, thank goodness for this guy running for secretary
- 14:49Speaker 3: of state in Minnesota, who ran like a two-minute ad
- 14:52Speaker 3: about this is Minnesota. We know you. We love you.
- 14:54Speaker 3: There are people who have found their way into our
- 14:57Speaker 3: state who may not love us as much and may
- 14:58Speaker 3: not wish us well. And there's fraud and there's weirdness.
- 15:02Speaker 3: And we told me that thing about how they changed
- 15:04Speaker 3: the Minnesota flag in a clear reflection of the Somali flag, again,
- 15:08Speaker 3: pandering much. It made me crazy. So God bless this
- 15:11Speaker 3: guy as well. And I hope Michelle Tafoya can win
- 15:13Speaker 3: in Minnesota.
- 15:14Speaker 2: That would be so cool. Me too. And God bless
- 15:16Speaker 2: Food for the Poor. You and I have gotten to
- 15:18Speaker 2: travel on behalf of Food for the Poor. We went
- 15:20Speaker 2: to Guatemala. We watched kids line up for their meals. Look,
- 15:23Speaker 2: for a lot of these children, that's all they get.
- 15:25Speaker 2: And you can step up. And it's a simple ask.
- 15:30Speaker 2: Just text FFTP to 51555. Food for the Poor is
- 15:34Speaker 2: a beautiful, beautiful ministry. They've been at this for 44 years,
- 15:38Speaker 2: 4.7 billion meals delivered. And they're different, Mark. They're special.
- 15:43Speaker 2: Food for the poor.
- 15:44Speaker 3: When they took us to Guatemala and, you know, you
- 15:47Speaker 3: fly into Guatemala City and then you go to wherever
- 15:49Speaker 3: you're staying. And this time we get on our large
- 15:51Speaker 3: bus of the transportation in order to get out to
- 15:54Speaker 3: these villages on this mountainside and see these people. And
- 15:58Speaker 3: they are filled. The whole point is that these are
- 16:01Speaker 3: hungry villages with people who have been starving before Food
- 16:04Speaker 3: for the Poor. They are so grateful. So filled with
- 16:07Speaker 3: the spirit, so filled with gratitude. And that's the kind
- 16:09Speaker 3: of gratitude that Mike and I want to reflect to
- 16:11Speaker 3: you as you get ready to follow our little nudge
- 16:14Speaker 3: here and give us $ 5 or $ 105 or $ 500. Whatever
- 16:18Speaker 3: you've got, we are so, so grateful. Whatever amount you
- 16:21Speaker 3: can send to FFTP, text FFTP, food for the poor.
- 16:25Speaker 3: Text FFTP to 51555. Those kids thank you. Those moms
- 16:30Speaker 3: thank you. We thank you. Food for the poor thanks you.
- 16:33Speaker 2: You know what blew up on my show today was
- 16:35Speaker 2: property tax. because I shared the story of Amendment 3
- 16:40Speaker 2: in Florida. Amendment 3 provides a path To eventually, and
- 16:45Speaker 2: it's going to take a while.
- 16:47Speaker 3: Well, not a long while. Three years?
- 16:49Speaker 2: Three to five years.
- 16:50Speaker 3: It was going to take 10 in Texas, but when
- 16:52Speaker 3: anybody even remotely talked to me, maybe a decade we'll
- 16:56Speaker 3: be able to get rid of property.
- 16:57Speaker 2: But take 10. Take 10. Whatever it takes.
- 16:59Speaker 3: Yes.
- 17:01Speaker 2: But I can't get past the fundamental concept of the
- 17:05Speaker 2: expectation by Americans that you've got to pay for something
- 17:09Speaker 2: you own for the rest of your life. And, Mark,
- 17:12Speaker 2: you should have heard the pushback I got from people. Well,
- 17:16Speaker 2: this lady called from Long Island. Well, there you are.
- 17:19Speaker 2: I know. Long Island. She said, I'm looking at my
- 17:22Speaker 2: property tax bill. It pays for the police. It pays
- 17:26Speaker 2: for water. Well, guess what? That's up to your local government.
- 17:30Speaker 2: Of course it does. They need to balance their budget.
- 17:33Speaker 2: And you called me out on this this morning. Because
- 17:36Speaker 2: I pointed out, you know, look, the money will have
- 17:39Speaker 2: to come from somewhere. And you said, not necessarily. Wait
- 17:41Speaker 2: a minute. Explain your pushback.
- 17:43Speaker 3: Well, whenever people talk about getting rid of any kind
- 17:46Speaker 3: of tax, how will we supplant this? How will we
- 17:49Speaker 3: make up for this lost revenue? Maybe you got too
- 17:52Speaker 3: much revenue in the first place. Maybe you haven't found
- 17:54Speaker 3: all the waste, all the fraud, all the bloat, all
- 17:57Speaker 3: the fat. When you've done all of that, then maybe
- 18:00Speaker 3: we can talk about replenishing lost property taxes with something else.
- 18:03Speaker 3: But the first thing you need to do is look
- 18:05Speaker 3: at spending, spending, spending before necessarily saying that a property
- 18:09Speaker 3: tax reduction here must be responded to with a tax
- 18:13Speaker 3: increase over here.
- 18:14Speaker 2: Governor DeSantis, who I believe is the best governor in America,
- 18:18Speaker 2: pointed out that the state of Florida, under his leadership,
- 18:22Speaker 2: has reduced its budget four years in a row. He's
- 18:25Speaker 2: a fiscal hawk, right? No community in Florida, no local
- 18:31Speaker 2: government has reduced their budget. And yet, in the last
- 18:36Speaker 2: seven years, property tax revenues in Florida have increased nearly 100%.
- 18:44Speaker 2: So local governments are awash in that property tax revenue,
- 18:49Speaker 2: but they refuse to balance or reduce their budget. So
- 18:52Speaker 2: guess what? Mayor Castor, the mayor of Tampa... This Jane Castor,
- 18:57Speaker 2: and she's a far-left Democrat, not as bad as some
- 19:01Speaker 2: of the ones around the country. She's a former cop.
- 19:03Speaker 2: And so she's got law enforcement in her background, which
- 19:06Speaker 2: I kind of like. But she's a Democrat, and she's
- 19:09Speaker 2: trying to scare the crap out of everybody. We won't
- 19:12Speaker 2: have cops. We won't have a fire department. You're going
- 19:15Speaker 2: to die. We won't have water. We've got to have
- 19:17Speaker 2: property taxes. But, Mark, just the fundamental principle of saying
- 19:22Speaker 2: you don't really own your house, because even when you
- 19:25Speaker 2: pay it off, you've got to pay the government for
- 19:26Speaker 2: the rest of your life. And that's bull crap. That's
- 19:29Speaker 2: bull crap.
- 19:30Speaker 3: It's just untenable. And we've grown used to it. And we've,
- 19:33Speaker 3: like the frog in the boiling water, we've grown used
- 19:35Speaker 3: to it. And so it is time to retreat on that.
- 19:38Speaker 3: And it's funny you talk about local spending and to
- 19:42Speaker 3: get into real civics dorkery. Every town, every city down
- 19:46Speaker 3: there in Florida where you are, here in Texas where
- 19:47Speaker 3: I am, everybody got.
- 19:49Speaker 2: A bond issue.
- 19:50Speaker 3: Well, here comes a bond issue. More bonded debt in
- 19:53Speaker 3: this for schools or senior citizen centers or a new
- 19:56Speaker 3: police headquarters.
- 19:57Speaker 2: All good stuff.
- 19:58Speaker 3: But nobody has the balls anymore to come to the
- 20:01Speaker 3: public and say, we need money for this. Your taxes
- 20:05Speaker 3: are going up. Or to cut spending and find money
- 20:09Speaker 3: elsewhere like any business does, like any household does. It's
- 20:12Speaker 3: this endless stream of bond indebtedness. You never get out
- 20:16Speaker 3: of it. There's always just more and more indebtedness. And
- 20:19Speaker 3: you're really on to something. The glut, the spending obsession
- 20:24Speaker 3: of local governments is a lot of why states have
- 20:27Speaker 3: a tough time getting things like this passed, like property
- 20:30Speaker 3: tax rollback.
- 20:31Speaker 2: Here's a great comment in the live chat over on
- 20:34Speaker 2: YouTube right now from J.A. Singleton, who said many people
- 20:37Speaker 2: who are politicians started out by loving big government. And
- 20:42Speaker 2: that isn't necessarily just Democrats. Don't forget to like, subscribe,
- 20:46Speaker 2: follow us. Just click that subscribe button. It just takes

- 21:01Speaker 2: can continue to build this glorious thing. that we call
- 21:05Speaker 2: M & M Extra. Before you leave Florida. Final note
- 21:09Speaker 2: on property tax.
- 21:10Speaker 3: Then I've got a one Florida asterisk at the end.
- 21:13Speaker 2: Go ahead. Sure. I want to tell you about a
- 21:15Speaker 2: conversation I had in my condo. High-rise condo building in
- 21:19Speaker 2: the Tampa Bay area. And nice lady, senior, elderly lady.
- 21:24Speaker 2: She's a widow. No kids. And she was so proud
- 21:28Speaker 2: of the fact that thanks to her husband's planning and
- 21:31Speaker 2: thanks to her Her life choices, she paid off that condo.
- 21:36Speaker 2: She owned it free and clear. And incidentally, that's freedom.
- 21:38Speaker 2: Can I ask you a personal question? Do you own
- 21:40Speaker 2: your house outright or do you.
- 21:41Speaker 3: Still got a smidge of mortgage left? Our house would
- 21:45Speaker 3: be on schedule to be paid off in a couple
- 21:46Speaker 3: of years. I can't wait for that.
- 21:50Speaker 2: What a freedom that's going to feel like. But the
- 21:53Speaker 2: property tax continues, though, so I don't really own it.
- 21:56Speaker 2: So that's what she told me. She said she had
- 21:58Speaker 2: tears in her eyes. Because I said to her, congratulations,
- 22:02Speaker 2: that's got to be such a great feeling. She said, well, no,
- 22:04Speaker 2: I have to move. I said, what do you mean
- 22:05Speaker 2: you have to move? She said, I can't afford to
- 22:07Speaker 2: live here. She said, my property tax is $ 26, 000 a year.
- 22:13Speaker 1: Lord.
- 22:14Speaker 2: On a two-bedroom condominium. Now, I know you're going to
- 22:18Speaker 2: make it. Sweet condo, but still. It's a nice condo.
- 22:21Speaker 2: It's high-rise, a lot of amenities. But by the way,
- 22:24Speaker 2: that doesn't include the HOA fees. You want to know
- 22:27Speaker 2: what her HOA fees are? Sure. $ 2, 000 a month. Now,
- 22:32Speaker 2: if you're a senior on a fixed income, now, again,
- 22:35Speaker 2: I know the criticism. She's not eating dog food.
- 22:37Speaker 3: Let's stipulate that.
- 22:38Speaker 2: It's a luxury. Well, but she's going to have to
- 22:40Speaker 2: move out of the condo she loves. She can't afford it.
- 22:44Speaker 2: But you've got to have such financial sustenance to be
- 22:48Speaker 2: able to afford those kind of numbers. In fact, one
- 22:50Speaker 2: of the callers today on the show got in the
- 22:52Speaker 2: weeds and was babbling about HOA fees. And I said,
- 22:55Speaker 2: I know, I know, I know. I just want to
- 22:56Speaker 2: talk about the big picture of property tax. But it's
- 22:59Speaker 2: not fair. I got a text from North Carolina. He said,
- 23:02Speaker 2: I retired 20 years ago. So far, I have paid
- 23:05Speaker 2: over $ 30, 000 in property tax since 2009. Mark, that's wrong.
- 23:10Speaker 2: It's fundamentally wrong.
- 23:11Speaker 3: Completely and totally wrong. And God bless Ron DeSantis for
- 23:14Speaker 3: doing this. And I just love him. He's just, again,
- 23:19Speaker 3: one of my favorite governors, one of my favorite politicians.
- 23:21Speaker 3: And just the last 60-second postscript on him is he
- 23:23Speaker 3: just cannot buy a break because he ran against Trump.
- 23:29Speaker 3: That was never going to work. And now you got J.D.
- 23:34Speaker 3: Vance and maybe Marco Rubio. I don't know if maybe
- 23:38Speaker 3: DeSantis will be 80 himself before the presidential window opens
- 23:41Speaker 3: for him. But did you catch the J.D. Vance quote
- 23:45Speaker 3: kind of on the fly a few days ago where
- 23:48Speaker 3: he floated the possibility of maybe not running because he's
- 23:52Speaker 3: got four young kids? And I love J.D. I want
- 23:55Speaker 3: him to run. I'd like to have a chance to
- 23:57Speaker 3: evaluate him for being the 48th president. But I also
- 24:01Speaker 3: want Rubio in there, too. And Rubio has said, I
- 24:05Speaker 3: will not run if my friend J.D. Vance does. He
- 24:07Speaker 3: really needs to get over that. Can you imagine a Vance, Rubio,
- 24:11Speaker 3: Ron DeSantis three-way primary? Talk about bench strength. Talk about
- 24:15Speaker 3: an embarrassment of riches. Any one of whom would be
- 24:18Speaker 3: a fine, fine successor to President Trump.
- 24:21Speaker 2: I'm going to be very bullish, continually bullish on Marco Rubio.
- 24:26Speaker 2: I think it's going to be Marco Rubio at the
- 24:28Speaker 2: top of the ticket. And please, please, please, Lord. Give
- 24:33Speaker 2: us Kamala Harris as a Democrat. She's trying out a new.
- 24:38Speaker 2: She's thinking about it. She's trying out a new dialect. Oh,
- 24:41Speaker 2: she's thinking. She's doing more than thinking about it. A
- 24:43Speaker 2: new dialect? Yep. She's got a new dialect. Where's that clip, guys?
- 24:48Speaker 4: Oh, no.
- 24:48Speaker 2: Oh, yeah. Kamala is back. Kamala Harris.
- 24:52Speaker 3: All right.
- 24:53Speaker 2: Here she was. This is this week. She was at
- 24:56Speaker 2: an event. Please, Lord, bless us. with Kamala Harris running again.
- 25:04Speaker 2: Can you imagine America electing this person?
- 25:10Speaker 3: That era, that era.
- 25:12Speaker 2: Of feeling powerless, like what can we do? This just
- 25:17Speaker 2: keeps happening.
- 25:20Speaker 5: That era is over because we are now 13 days away.
- 25:27Speaker 1: From doing something about it to stop the pain.
- 25:33Speaker 3: So that's where we are right now.
- 25:35Speaker 2: And that's kind of exciting, right? This is some good stuff.
- 25:41Speaker 3: We're taking our power and we're using it.
- 25:45Speaker 2: To determine who will hold offices, like being.
- 25:48Speaker 3: The governor of Nevada, which is so important. For the
- 25:53Speaker 3: people every day on the most basic.
- 25:56Speaker 2: Issues that affect our lives, who will continue to walk
- 26:00Speaker 2: those halls of Congress being an extraordinary fighter. She takes
- 26:06Speaker 2: condescending to a whole new level.
- 26:09Speaker 3: The era of feeling powerless is over. Oh, my gosh.
- 26:13Speaker 3: I join you in thinking and hoping and praying that
- 26:16Speaker 3: the Democrats are unwise enough to elevate her again. Mike,
- 26:20Speaker 3: that was painful, and I don't even think Relief Factor
- 26:23Speaker 3: will take care of that. But it took care of
- 26:25Speaker 3: my shoulder and your back and all kinds of other things.
- 26:28Speaker 3: It can do so many things for you. And let's
- 26:31Speaker 3: just gulp some Relief Factor and try to do away
- 26:33Speaker 3: with that pain. But for any kind of little nagging
- 26:36Speaker 3: aches and pains that you might have, 1-800-THE-NUMBER-4-RELIEF, 1-800-THE-NUMBER-4-RELIEF or ReliefFactor.com.
- 26:42Speaker 3: We'll get you the three-week quick start. for the patriotic
- 26:44Speaker 3: price of $ 17.
- 26:45Speaker 2: 76.
- 26:45Speaker 3: It's what I did. Mike's been on it for years. It's,
- 26:48Speaker 3: once again, the story of the podcast adventure. It's like, hey,
- 26:51Speaker 3: I get to do Relief Factor because I have a
- 26:52Speaker 3: reason to. Had some rotator cuff stuff going in my shoulder.
- 26:56Speaker 3: Not anymore. So let's see what we can do to
- 26:58Speaker 3: help you because it's 1-800-4-RELIEF or relieffactor.com. And Mike, I
- 27:02Speaker 3: just hope people do this so they can find out
- 27:04Speaker 3: what pain-free living is like.
- 27:05Speaker 2: Every day we hear from people like William. At age 65,
- 27:09Speaker 2: he decided to test Relief Factor. He stopped it altogether.
- 27:12Speaker 2: And as everyday aches and pains returned, he knew it worked. Relieffactor.com,
- 27:16Speaker 2: relieffactor.com or call 800-4-RELIEF. I told somebody yesterday that this
- 27:22Speaker 2: audience has contributed over $ 30, 000 to our pre-born campaign through
- 27:27Speaker 2: the podcast. She screamed. She was blown away. She said
- 27:32Speaker 2: $ 30, 000 for a brand new podcast? Our audience is so
- 27:36Speaker 2: generous and so loving and so pro-life. Mark, Preborn is simple.
- 27:42Speaker 2: They offer ultrasounds to women who are considering an abortion,
- 27:46Speaker 2: supported by folks like the M & M Extra podcast family.
- 27:49Speaker 3: There are a lot of ways to be pro-life, to
- 27:52Speaker 3: march and to spread pamphlets and materials and lobby, and
- 27:56Speaker 3: they're all great. But what the folks at Preborn said
- 27:58Speaker 3: we're going to do is we're going to put the
- 28:00Speaker 3: imagery of your baby right there in front of you
- 28:03Speaker 3: so you can see the life that's growing inside you.
- 28:06Speaker 3: And if you see that, we really feel strongly that
- 28:10Speaker 3: you're more likely to choose life. And that's exactly what's happening.
- 28:13Speaker 3: So this is the effort you can be a part
- 28:14Speaker 3: of with $ 140. You can have five mothers, a free
- 28:18Speaker 3: ultrasound and save babies. $ 280, 10 babies, $ 28 a month
- 28:23Speaker 3: can help save a baby a month for less than
- 28:25Speaker 3: a dollar a day. And Mike, we've been so, so
- 28:27Speaker 3: glad to be able to get enough money to pay
- 28:30Speaker 3: for some actual entire ultrasound machines.
- 28:33Speaker 2: Two of them to be exact. Go to preborn.com slash
- 28:37Speaker 2: mm extra preborn.com slash mm extra or call 833-850-BABY 833-850-2229. Hey,
- 28:41Speaker 2: 28 bucks a month. Less than a dollar a day
- 28:48Speaker 2: will save a baby every single month. Mark, we've loved
- 28:52Speaker 2: the idea of these theme days on Fridays. And when
- 28:56Speaker 2: I suggested what we could do tomorrow, you mocked me.
- 29:01Speaker 3: I thought already, because last week we did Halloween and Thanksgiving.
- 29:07Speaker 3: And we were, silly us, we were going to do
- 29:09Speaker 3: like a big holiday festival tomorrow. Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas. But
- 29:13Speaker 3: being us, we were yammering so long, we only got
- 29:16Speaker 3: two of those three done. So we put a pin
- 29:18Speaker 3: in Christmas, and I thought we'll get back to that
- 29:20Speaker 3: after Thanksgiving. Mike thought otherwise.
- 29:23Speaker 2: Let's do Christmas tomorrow. Let's have Christmas.
- 29:25Speaker 3: It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.
- 29:28Speaker 2: Instead of Christmas in July, we'll do Christmas in October.
- 29:30Speaker 2: Exactly right.
- 29:31Speaker 3: We're just inside two months, or almost two months. Christmas
- 29:36Speaker 3: is of the past. How Christmas, how we're doing. I
- 29:39Speaker 3: want to talk to you about the Christmas. Do you
- 29:40Speaker 3: remember the Christmas wars? Did we win those? Is that
- 29:44Speaker 3: why we don't hear about that so much?
- 29:46Speaker 2: Oh, yeah. Well, let's save that for tomorrow. And I
- 29:49Speaker 2: want to talk about memories. I want to talk about
- 29:51Speaker 2: holiday traditions, Christmas traditions in your house and in mine.
- 29:55Speaker 2: And considering that my life is sort of like the
- 29:58Speaker 2: nightmare before Christmas or whatever it's called. Or, you know,
- 30:02Speaker 2: bad Santa. No morbid negative stories from me tomorrow. Okay?
- 30:08Speaker 2: I promise. There's not going to be one negative thing
- 30:10Speaker 2: about Christmas. Okay. You'll see. And hold me to it.
- 30:14Speaker 2: If I start to veer off, if you start to
- 30:16Speaker 2: see me weep, call me back. Don't bring me back.
- 30:19Speaker 3: I got your back.
- 30:20Speaker 2: I am ready for you. Merry Christmas early. We'll see
- 30:23Speaker 2: you tomorrow. See you then.
- 30:27Speaker 4: Thank you.
