- 0:02Speaker 1: Hey, Raymond, thanks for holding.
- 0:03Speaker 2: What's your meet-cute story?
- 0:06Speaker 3: Hey, guys, good morning. So, I kind of don't fit
- 0:10Speaker 3: the criteria like you had mentioned, John Jay, about technology,
- 0:13Speaker 3: but this was back in 2007. So, it's like right
- 0:19Speaker 3: on the cusp of everything starting with technology, but I
- 0:23Speaker 3: was actually in high school. I was a senior, and
- 0:26Speaker 3: we had to do a family history essay, and I
- 0:32Speaker 3: had just gotten out of school and just got like
- 0:34Speaker 3: lectured for my grammar. So I go to work. I
- 0:38Speaker 3: worked at Harkins Theater at the time. And I walk
- 0:41Speaker 3: in the break room and there's a bunch of food
- 0:43Speaker 3: all over the table. And I see a sign where
- 0:46Speaker 3: someone had written, you know, take whatever you want. They're free.
- 0:50Speaker 3: And I was already in a bad mood, so I
- 0:52Speaker 3: had taken out a marker because someone had wrote the there.
- 0:56Speaker 3: They put the wrong there on the sign. So I
- 0:59Speaker 3: crossed it out dramatically and put the correct one. And
- 1:03Speaker 3: as I was doing it, I was like, whatever idiot
- 1:06Speaker 3: made this sign, they need to learn how to use
- 1:09Speaker 3: proper grammar. Little did I know that my wife was
- 1:13Speaker 3: sitting at the table and she was watching me do
- 1:17Speaker 3: the whole thing. She was the one that brought the
- 1:19Speaker 3: food in. So she didn't say a word. She was
- 1:22Speaker 3: just watching me as I was, you know, tearing to
- 1:25Speaker 3: shreds her good graces. And yeah, later on, I come
- 1:29Speaker 3: to find out that she was the one that did
- 1:31Speaker 3: it after we had gotten together later on, like about
- 1:35Speaker 3: like a month later.
- 1:35Speaker 1: Oh, she didn't tell you in the moment that she
- 1:37Speaker 1: made the sign?
- 1:40Speaker 3: Oh, no, no, no. She just watched me as I
- 1:42Speaker 3: did every little disrespectful douche kind of thing.
- 1:47Speaker 2: And yeah.
- 1:48Speaker 3: All right.
- 1:48Speaker 4: Thanks, brother.
- 1:48Speaker 2: Thanks for sharing that story with us. Kyle Pate, what
- 1:50Speaker 2: do you guys got for entertainment news?
- 1:52Speaker 1: Swifties are on notice.
- 1:53Speaker 5: She actually had a little conversation with her music video producer.
- 1:57Speaker 5: And Swifties are like, this isn't even an Easter egg.
- 2:00Speaker 5: She is full out saying she's got more coming.
- 2:03Speaker 6: I definitely feel more free to create now. Yeah, I
- 2:06Speaker 6: think it's just a phase I'm in right now. I
- 2:08Speaker 6: might be in a different phase in two months.
- 2:09Speaker 2: I have no idea.
- 2:10Speaker 6: It's just recently I've found that the more things I make,
- 2:13Speaker 6: the more things I make and the happier I am.
- 2:16Speaker 6: And everybody's different. And there are people who put an
- 2:18Speaker 6: album out every five years and it's brilliant. And that's
- 2:21Speaker 6: the way that they work. And I have full respect
- 2:23Speaker 6: for that. But I don't really know why I've been
- 2:26Speaker 6: making more things recently. But I'm just trying not to
- 2:29Speaker 6: question it because I kind of like it. I want
- 2:31Speaker 6: it to keep going.
- 2:32Speaker 1: So what's coming out?
- 2:33Speaker 3: Right.
- 2:34Speaker 7: And I'm like, but also, we know exactly.
- 2:35Speaker 1: Girl, you were still on that wedding high, right?
- 2:37Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 2:38Speaker 1: Like, you were feeling so inspired. I'm sure of it.
- 2:41Speaker 7: There's been so many amazing things that have happened for
- 2:43Speaker 7: Taylor Swift in the last year.
- 2:44Speaker 1: More love songs and happy songs to come. Yeah, I
- 2:47Speaker 1: get it. Kerry Washington worked with Ben Affleck on the
- 2:51Speaker 1: new Netflix movie Animals.
- 2:52Speaker 5: But it turns out before she agreed to, she did
- 2:55Speaker 5: her own little background check on him.
- 2:57Speaker 2: I love it until later on you called around about
- 2:59Speaker 2: me and checked up on me.
- 3:00Speaker 3: I did.
- 3:00Speaker 8: I called Viola Davis.
- 3:02Speaker 1: I was like, give me the skinny.
- 3:03Speaker 3: How was it?
- 3:04Speaker 2: How was your time on air?
- 3:06Speaker 1: Was he great?
- 3:07Speaker 8: Was he terrible?
- 3:07Speaker 3: How'd it go?
- 3:08Speaker 1: Viola said nice things. You're lucky.
- 3:10Speaker 7: I am lucky.
- 3:12Speaker 1: Without that, she might not be in the movie. I
- 3:14Speaker 1: started that movie and I was like, is that Ben Affleck?
- 3:17Speaker 1: Is that Ben Affleck? Is that Ben Affleck? I couldn't
- 3:19Speaker 1: figure it out.
- 3:20Speaker 2: When you start it, it says, it's something really cool
- 3:23Speaker 2: they do in the movie. It says starring Ben Affleck.
- 3:24Speaker 7: Well, yeah, but like.
- 3:25Speaker 1: Directed by Ben Affleck.
- 3:26Speaker 7: I didn't see that part, but he didn't look like,
- 3:29Speaker 7: he looked like a clone in my opinion.
- 3:31Speaker 1: He did not look like Ben Affleck. He has, I think,
- 3:33Speaker 1: lost quite a bit of weight. Yeah, he did not
- 3:35Speaker 1: look like him. So his face looks pretty thin. You
- 3:37Speaker 1: may have seen this on social media yesterday. It kind
- 3:39Speaker 1: of blew up.
- 3:40Speaker 5: Selma Blair from Legally Blonde and Cruel Intentions was arrested
- 3:43Speaker 5: after things that completely out of control on a flight
- 3:45Speaker 5: from LA to New York. Allegedly, she was trying to
- 3:48Speaker 5: open the airplane door mid-flight. She punched one of the
- 3:51Speaker 5: flight attendants. She bit another passenger on the plane that
- 3:53Speaker 5: was trying to like calm her down. Then after getting
- 3:57Speaker 5: off the plane, she kicked a police officer and a
- 3:59Speaker 5: nurse after landing. There is audio of her getting off
- 4:02Speaker 5: the plane. It's a little chaotic at first, but you
- 4:04Speaker 5: can hear her screaming and all the commotion.
- 4:07Speaker 8: Let's wait for a few more minutes.
- 4:14Speaker 5: Her team says she was experiencing a medical emergency. She
- 4:17Speaker 5: pled not guilty to the two assault charges, including the
- 4:20Speaker 5: officer and the nurse just this morning.
- 4:23Speaker 1: But I don't think we've heard the end of this one.
- 4:24Speaker 2: She said that her legal team said that she was
- 4:27Speaker 2: on off meds because of her MS. And if you
- 4:30Speaker 2: read the comments on the comments are like, that's not true.
- 4:33Speaker 2: I have MS and that doesn't happen. You don't go
- 4:35Speaker 2: look that insane. Yeah, definitely.
- 4:39Speaker 1: Maybe it's a different kind of medical emergency.
- 4:41Speaker 2: And when you hear the, I heard the pilots talking
- 4:44Speaker 2: and stuff, it's crazy. It's just crazy what they're saying
- 4:46Speaker 2: about it and that she bit somebody and punched. I mean,
- 4:49Speaker 2: it's insane.
- 4:49Speaker 1: It's insane. One place you don't want to mess around
- 4:51Speaker 1: is the airport.
- 4:52Speaker 7: Drewski, he is going to be the first digital content
- 4:54Speaker 7: creator ever to host Saturday Night Live on November 7th.
- 4:58Speaker 7: Musical guest hasn't been announced yet. I personally am tuning in.
- 5:02Speaker 7: I really rarely ever am like, I got to watch SNL.
- 5:05Speaker 7: But Drewski on there, I think it's going to be
- 5:07Speaker 7: just laugh out loud funny.
- 5:09Speaker 1: I feel like it's going to be a popular one.
- 5:11Speaker 5: Shane Gillis hosted last Saturday and something that he said
- 5:15Speaker 5: is causing a little bit of controversy. So he made
- 5:18Speaker 5: this joke about how women dress to go to the
- 5:20Speaker 5: gym these days with short shorts and then used a
- 5:23Speaker 5: derogatory term. And Dan Levy is not happy about it.
- 5:27Speaker 8: Women wearing short shorts to the gym does not make
- 5:30Speaker 8: them whores. It makes the men calling them whores misogynists.
- 5:35Speaker 8: There's a difference there.
- 5:37Speaker 5: So then he went on and on about how, like,
- 5:39Speaker 5: more men actually need to be upset and speak up
- 5:42Speaker 5: about this because the more people are complacent, the more
- 5:45Speaker 5: things like this happen.
- 5:47Speaker 4: Hmm.
- 5:47Speaker 8: I'm speechless that something like that can exist on live
- 5:52Speaker 8: national television. And to be perfectly honest, more men need
- 5:55Speaker 8: to be standing up in opposition to it.
- 5:58Speaker 7: Olivia Rodrigo and Chapel Roan, they have low-key kind of
- 6:01Speaker 7: sent fans into overdrive right now because they are teasing
- 6:03Speaker 7: an upcoming collaboration.
- 6:05Speaker 5: Ooh, Olivia does remixes now.
- 6:08Speaker 7: Yeah, that's Chapel Roan on a track talking about Olivia
- 6:11Speaker 7: Rodrigo doing a remix. Fans are hoping that we get
- 6:13Speaker 7: this new song on Friday, but that's all we know.
- 6:16Speaker 7: That's all we know. Kesha, I don't really know what
- 6:18Speaker 7: she's doing for her Halloween costume, but I'm kind of scared. Apparently,
- 6:21Speaker 7: over the last 15 years, she has been collecting her fans' teeth.
- 6:25Speaker 7: She has over 1,000 of her fans' teeth, and she's
- 6:27Speaker 7: going to make necklaces, crowns, and earrings with her fans'
- 6:31Speaker 7: teeth for Halloween this year.
- 6:33Speaker 1: That is very Kesha, but very gross, and very Halloween. Very,
- 6:38Speaker 1: very creepy and spooky, if you ask me. Yeah.
- 6:41Speaker 5: Justin Timberlake and his wife, Jessica Biel, are getting into
- 6:43Speaker 5: the soda business. So they just joined a company called Prota.
- 6:47Speaker 5: It's like spelled like Prada, but with an O. So
- 6:49Speaker 5: I think it's called Prota. They're going to be, it's
- 6:50Speaker 5: going to be protein sodas. So protein packed sodas. They
- 6:53Speaker 5: got 10 grams of protein, zero sugar flavors like Shirley Temple,
- 6:57Speaker 5: strawberry lemonade.
- 6:58Speaker 1: I guess you could find them at Sprouts.
- 6:59Speaker 5: So apparently they, Getting your protein in and then also.
- 7:02Speaker 1: I mean, they're putting protein in everything now.
- 7:03Speaker 2: It has slowed down.
- 7:05Speaker 5: Justin Timberlake is also in a different celebrity headline because
- 7:09Speaker 5: Britney Spears is about to release a song she recorded
- 7:12Speaker 5: with Justin Timberlake back in the day when they were dating.
- 7:15Speaker 5: So she has like 25 years later, she's going to
- 7:17Speaker 5: be re-releasing Britney. And so there's going to be like
- 7:19Speaker 5: bonus tracks on it. And this is one of them.
- 7:38Speaker 5: That's the title, She'll Never Be Me.
- 7:40Speaker 4: I like it.
- 7:41Speaker 2: Sounds like it to me. I think we got to
- 7:42Speaker 2: get real quick, mention what happened with Breaking Bad star,
- 7:44Speaker 2: RJ Mitt. Do you have that story? He committed suicide
- 7:47Speaker 2: yesterday and he was, it's such a tragic story. I
- 7:50Speaker 2: think he also went to the University of Arizona. and
- 7:53Speaker 2: it was one of those things that hit hard in
- 7:55Speaker 2: my family because we were big fans of that show.
- 7:56Speaker 2: He played Walt Jr. You remember that? Yeah, of course.
- 7:59Speaker 2: I'm telling you, mental health is no joke, man. We've
- 8:01Speaker 2: got to really pay attention to that stuff, and if
- 8:02Speaker 2: you're suffering through anything like that, you've got to go.
- 8:04Speaker 2: I think it's 988. Does anyone know the number to
- 8:06Speaker 2: call for the Suicide Hotline?
- 8:08Speaker 3: Anyone?
- 8:08Speaker 2: I think it's 988. Yeah, 988. That's what it is. Anyway, Jordan,
- 8:14Speaker 2: you've got a meet-cute story?
- 8:15Speaker 1: Yes, I do.
- 8:17Speaker 4: What do you got? Um, it kind of goes in
- 8:20Speaker 4: with Salma Blair and, uh, Walter White thing. I met
- 8:23Speaker 4: my husband in rehab in 2020. Oh, wow.
- 8:28Speaker 2: What, what were you recovering from and what was he
- 8:30Speaker 2: recovering from technology?
- 8:31Speaker 1: Yeah, that's true. Literally.
- 8:33Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 8:34Speaker 4: There's no tech. I mean, even, uh, just the time
- 8:37Speaker 4: it was no technology, but in rehab.
- 8:39Speaker 8: You have no technology.
- 8:40Speaker 4: So I couldn't even like stalk him after meeting him, um, naturally, but, um,
- 8:46Speaker 4: I was there for alcohol. He was there for, a
- 8:49Speaker 4: lot harder things, but we are still both sober six years.
- 8:51Speaker 4: We have a beautiful five-year-old girl. And yeah, no technology
- 8:58Speaker 4: involved at all.
- 9:00Speaker 2: That is a great way to end our whole meet
- 9:02Speaker 2: cute segment. I mean, you did it without technology and
- 9:04Speaker 2: you did it and you guys are still thriving and
- 9:06Speaker 2: doing great. Yeah.
- 9:08Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 9:08Speaker 4: So, and I totally got 988 is the number if
- 9:11Speaker 4: anyone is struggling. So glad you put that out there.
- 9:15Speaker 2: Thanks for calling in. Thank you for listening, Jordan. Drive safe.
- 9:17Speaker 2: Thank you. Yeah. Love you guys.
- 9:19Speaker 4: Bye.
