Therefore, in the resurrection, whose wife of the seven will she be? For they all had her.” Matthew 22:28

In the previous verse, the Sadducees concluded their statement about the seven sons and the woman who was given to each of them to raise seed in the name of her dead husband, noting that she also died. With their statement complete, they next ask their question, beginning with, “In the resurrection, therefore...”
