- Chasing The Magic: Hey everyone, I'm Laura. And I'm Lindy. Grab your Mickey ears. It's time to chase the magic. Laura: When does it Ha mean since we're trying to talk in the present. I get but so yeah, we're gonna do a little pre trip. I don't we're in denial. We're just my gosh. we're gonna do a little pre trip chatter. Mm-hmm. kinda see is there any Dreamlight Valley news? Mm I don't know if there's a lot of Disney news. The But we can let's Yeah a little bit. Let's get into that. Let's do that first off and then we'll do all the trip stuff afterwards. So I haven't even looked up the Disney news. I can do Dream Life Wars. the trick-or-treat event started. Mm-hmm. Have you been playing? Sure. I go to the pumpkins and Yeah. Yeah. Do they only do that? Like, do they refresh every day? 'Cause I only okay. 'Cause I played yesterday, but that was the first time I played since it started, so I wasn't sure. I mean Pretty simple. Yeah. But it's kinda cute. It's like sure. I started playing the island. Okay. I I have not compl I completed all the quests except the ones where I have to come back and do I did just cheat the whole time, but still. Ha I completed them. Well wait, they're all unlocked now, what do mean? So like I've done everything. Yeah. Except like the first two you have to like you this may take you a couple days. did you not do it last year? No. Okay, then that's why. Okay. I was gonna say you could knock it out in one day. now that it's all unlocked. Mm-hmm. But Yeah, no, you just have to collect stuff. I know. If you need do you need extra stuff? 'Cause I can send it to you. Maybe. I don't even know anymore. but it wasn't bad. I liked the I liked those puzzles. I like the puzzles I can get done in one sitting. I don't like the coming back to puzzles. The collecting a certain amount. Yeah. I liked this one. Yeah, it was fun. Yeah, wasn't bad. so. Anything else? Not that I can think of. Okay. Biggest news, did you do it? Did you put your name in for the banana ball? No. I did, so sorry Nick. If I win, guess who's coming? You get to come. He gets to come too. Is it wha how? What? I think I put in for like four people. I wanted four tickets. Actually I might have said six tickets actually. And it's in Orlando? Yeah. Fifteenth to the eighteenth of twenty twenty seven. Of of what? April. dang. Yeah. I mean I doubt, you know. But so Well you're s okay, my my understanding of that is you're if you're selected then you get t tickets. Right. Or I mean you get to buy tickets. Right. It's not free tickets. No, they're thirty five dollars. Really? Standard tickets start at thirty five dollars. Why was I seeing tickets for hundreds of dollars? Probably because they were reselling them. People resell all that stuff. I know. I just I I don't know. Okay. Well Yeah. That'd be cool. Yeah. But you don't but like d is that the only way you can well, you said people resell them, but I don't know, I just feel like a lot of people I know went when they came just a few weeks ago to Well, did they buy this is a standard ticket. It's probably not a great seat. Okay. You know? Yeah. It says starting at thirty five dollars. Right. I don't know. That'd be cool. Yeah. that's really about all the big news. I mean the Disney, the new ship is already sold out for its maiden voyage. I'm assuming by media and Instagram and not us. Not yet. Maybe one day. That's all right. So yeah. But that's really about it. I wanna do I saw not a lot. What was it the Destiny? I don't know, they're pushing Disney's pushing stuff. I've been seeing so many commercials lately. Mm-hmm. They were it was a family and they did this commercial but it was like a review format and it was kinda cute. But they were on the Destiny. Yeah it looked like a lot of fun. Yeah. Which I realize is also a sistership wish, but I don't know, it looks a lot different. Like there's there's like the Lion King like each other. The layout's the same, but the rooms could be different. Should be a little bit different kind of thing. Yeah. Yeah. So but that's all we got. All right, you ready to open your pezzies? Yeah. you go. Is this that's the shirt. okay. So this is just mine? Yeah. Well you knew what that was, we picked that out together. I'll show everyone. Can everyone see it? Yep. Okay. Yay. It's cute. Very cute. I love the orange. Yeah, it's a good orange. I'm glad it's yeah, it's not. It's like a well it is comfort color. Yeah. There's multiple things in there. Ooh. I already packed my the other one you got me. So maybe I'll like switch out. I don't know. Show it to the camera. I thought I did. Not good enough. Boop. So those are like little bag charms. So you you put them on your bag strap. That one's a Mickey pumpkin, so that one's cute. Festive. And then I got one. Is that why you were all obsessed with the 3D printer? No. I got these way before that. And this one you can just use anytime. Cute. It's Mickey Heart hands. They're so cute. Okay. Awwww. Yeah. Mickey and Minnie pumpkins. Do you have some too? Yep. We're just gonna be all like I know we're we don't even have to plan anything. I'm just cute. Those are s those are my favorite. I'm so excited for those. That's adorable. Yeah. And then I got glitter, but we just needed one thing of glitter. We didn't each need our own glow in the dark, Mickey Glitter. okay. For some reason I thought you were gonna get the the freckles? Like the strips. I thought about it. Those were more expensive and I couldn't find any like good Halloween ones that I liked enough. I was getting kinda picky. So that's fair. All our stuff. Cute yay. Yay. Stop. Stop it. My heart couldn't take it. I don't I'm not kidding. Pinic, you're up. Find someone to watch the girls, I guess. No. Ugh. Okay, so let's talk about our trip. Okay. Okay. Well I do actually I do have a question for Disney and I need to call because I've never done a just a resort stay thing. So it says we don't pay until the twenty second. I wonder if it'll automatically get drafted from my account or like charged to the card on my account or if we have to go 'cause we can do direct like room direct. So like we don't have to go to the front desk. But weren't we gonna request We are gonna request a late checkout, but still I wonder how that works for where room stays only, you know? Yeah. Never done that. 'Cause I can't pay it or I would have already paid it. the if you had to put a card on file for I mean but it's book the room no I mean just no it's just the same how I book every other Disney trip but there's a card on file on my Disney experience I'm gonna call tomorrow if I have a chance and just ask. Be like how does this work? Mm-hmm. But well I'm not too concerned about it. No. But just just wondering, you know? Yeah. I don't know. I feel like every other hotel though, well, yeah. Right, every other hotel they charge you when you leave, but you put a card on file. But this one says on the twenty s it's due on the twenty second. Okay. So I'll double check that actually. I can double check that now. I bet we could chat it. Chat it. I bet. I don't know. I didn't even think to ask Mr. Chat. I don't know. I I'm a little concerned it might not be accurate, but Yeah. Not always the most accurate. so yeah. So that's my one little not an issue, but I'm just like, huh. I wonder how this is something we've never run into. Yeah. alright, so Talk about so when we get there we're gonna land at the airport around six. Mm-hmm. And then we're gonna It's on an automatic timer. Okay. Then we're gonna be peasants and we're going to take an Uber instead of our private our private car. Yeah, due on October twenty second. Hmm. See and I can't click. So I don't know. I'm gonna call. yes, so Ubering to the to our resort. And then from there or check in and then go to Disney Springs. And because of our up in the air plans, we're gonna try and do Gideon's, Six Ravens, and Jock Lindsay's. And shopping at World of Disney, which I think we'll be able to without a problem. But we still have okay, unless you've planned something for Friday morning. We have lunch. We have lunch. Right. So we could still we could go back to Disney Springs. Yeah. Yeah. I don't know. What else we would do. Yeah. Umless you have something. No, I just want to chill for the most part. Just pick like a very slow morning. What time does Disney Springs has an open see that's it's gonna be too r like, yeah. It's gonna be a little rushed between once we get there and then we have to come back to Where we need to go for lunch. We can't just hop on a bus from Disney Springs. Yeah. We could. I haven't thought about it much 'cause I know you I mean I haven't really thought about the morning doing anything in the morning more than like if we're up early enough, which I'm sure we will be, to go get cinnamon churros in our matching PJs. I'm assuming you're bringing your Disney PJs. yeah. Yeah, well hopefully we're staying. Yeah. I think we're staying close enough. I mean I'm not one of those people, but I know there's a lot of people who just walk around hotels in their pajamas. And I'm like, okay. I'm usually not either, that's why I'm like, we're doing this. But it'd be cute. We'll see. We'll see. We'll see how we feel. And then we have to be at our reservation at eleven fifty. Okay. And then I say we just need to be at Magic Kingdom by Somebody got let in today at three forty five. Okay. So earl earlier than three you think? I don't know. Two thirty? I don't know. Do we wanna We can, you know I feel like we can aim to be in that area around you know, the monorail area around two and maybe just do some monorail resort hopping. Mm-hmm. So 'cause I wanna say 'cause our tour when we went for the Christmas party, mm-hmm. Our tour ended I wanna say not that long before we got in line for the party. Mm-hmm. And we didn't have to wait that long. No. But more you and Nick stayed. Morgan and I went and got in line and once we got in line it started getting a little It wasn't more than an hour. No. It was probably l it was probably like forty five minutes. Yeah. But it started pa getting packed in those last thirty minutes. So I'd say at least try and be there by three. Yeah. So More than doable. Yeah. But that's why I really didn't plan anything for the morning because I was like, I'd rather just have like a slow chill, I mean like I don't know, just hang out in the resort room, chill out, kind of thing before our festive day of fun. But so So yeah, I have chat made us a little itinerary, which I think is actually pretty pretty spot on. Okay. I told him what rides we kinda wanted to ride. I told him when we wanted to do the parade and the stage show. So he says at four we can go get our wristbands, take our pictures, and then go wait in line at Tron. Is that they give you they give you the wristband in like the bag, right? And so and then it says so you want it trying. Yeah, it says four to five thirty. I don't know. I'm that one was my Maybe. But a I think we need to we do I would say would want to try and do Tron and Space Mountain around like the time they're trying to get the park guests out and we're getting like you know, we're but we just have to watch those wait times. And then it says, eat an early dinner. No, I didn't tell about our little snacks. Like we're just probably just gonna snickety snackity around the whole park. Between 5 30 and 6 30, and then go to Haunted Mansion. and then after Haunted Mansion, kind of walk towards Adventureland, do some snacks or trick-or-treating, and then get to Beacon Barrel around eight. And then do our beacon barrel experience. They better they have that new drink, right? That's the only reason where we're going. I think so. question. Yes. There is there more than one place to get the wristband in the back and whatever, you know, or is it just we will only get it in the front. If we were in the park, we could go to different places and get it. Okay. But we will get it when we enter. Okay. Yeah. I remember the Christmas party, like they there was like r literally only one way to go 'cause we weren't in there yet. I think that's gonna be they're gonna like shuffle us the same way. Okay. Yeah. I don't know, I can double check that, but I'm pretty sure it started at some point. so yeah, so we'll be done at the beacon barrel around nine. And then we can still and it says essentially until nine twenty five we can chill, do some stuff, eat, and that's when we need to start looking for a place to set up to watch the fireworks show. Which the fireworks show, in my opinion, we can be like a little bit further back of the hub, not super close, but you know, just to see everything. and then Between ten fifteen and ten forty we can choose go to the restroom, eat a snack, and then choose our parade spot. Which setting so because of the parade we're doing, it still says to do it in the hub near the castle. And then right after the parade is the state show. Okay. But there's I know there's like the only thing and we don't have kids coming with us, so it might not be that big of a deal, but the only thing in like Tomorrowland that we'll kinda miss is the like little dance party. But we might get to see the power line stuff in Frontierland and they have some more Jack Sparrow stuff. So I think we'll still see a lot of entertainment. just because if we do go that route earlier and we make our way around, that is what's gonna we're gonna miss that nighttime stuff. Gotcha. But I'm not too worried about that. So we'll see the main stuff. We'll see the main stuff. So the only so like I said, the only issue I have is like the Tron. Yeah. Time 'cause I would also like to ride it at night. Could we swap that and just try to do a well no, they're not gonna have do instead I guess. They're not gonna have the villains out yet, right? Until the party actually starts. Closer to six or seven, yeah. Or like any of the characters I think. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. Hmm. So we'll see. Will we get our bands from in the tomorrow night area? No, we'll get our bands Or I mean like when we walk in but like it's kind of in that area, right? Yeah, they'll they'll shuffle us. They should shuffle us that way. If I had to guess. Hmm. I don't know. I know it's kind of a hard one because of the only thing I would s I could say we could do is between ten fifteen and ten forty we can see if we can go ride it. You know? And that's between the fireworks and the stage show. Stage show. No, the fireworks and the parade. The parade's at eleven fifteen, but it really won't get to but I do want a good seat for that parade. That's yeah. A good one. So well I don't know. I feel like If we can't fit it in before then Right after the sho the stage show. No, everything's gonna close, I think. At midnight. I don't know, let's see. If it's at one, yeah. We can do that. That if it's at one wasn't the I guess I'm thinking I'm either thinking of the time we went to the party or the Christmas party. Ends at midnight. Mm-hmm. That's rude. I know. Why did the other one end? Or am I literally making that up in my head? I feel like I've heard I think the one we went to ended at one. I don't remember the Christmas party ending that much later. Okay. So Well dang it. Yeah. So there's gonna be people there taking pictures and stuff, but they're not gonna keep their ads up and well, I mean, honestly, like If we don't ride Tron. Right. Space Mountain has the overlay. Yeah. You know. Yeah. That'd be I feel like that might be more of a priority than Why don't we just try to jump on Space Mountain? Yeah. I mean that was the time period where Splash Okay. No, no, no. I don't know. Everybody most people are gonna go get in line for Jack and Sally or Mickey and Minnie, I think. Yeah. So. Yeah. I mean, like I said, if we can ride Tron, we can ride Tron. If not It's okay. We wrote it, you know, a couple months ago. But they're done out. So yeah. That's about, you know. Is that it? That's it for the actual party day. I had him plan out our four parks one day. To leave at it's a tight fit, but to leave by four. Yikes. So If we wanna kinda Yeah, we can do we can do it. Go through that one. It says leave luggage with bell services at six fifteen AM. Okay. And get to Animal Kingdom by seven. Mm-hmm. And then our get early entry is seven thirty. So get a photo, ride Expedition Everest, and eat something. Get photo? That's what I asked what the four parks one day. It says one ride, one photo, one snack. Like photo like as in Like a photo pass photo. Dn isn't that a a thing too? 'Cause you only bought the one Yeah. So we'd have to add memory maker to our parkopper today? Mm no, I'd just buy the eighty five dollars again. Just take a photo. I mean we could. Is that really part of it? Or is he making stuff up? I never heard that. I don't know, but we have to we could take a photo, just the two of us. We don't need memory making. I'm not gonna spend eighty five dollars like just to challenge. No no no, not that. and then travel to Magic Kingdom at by eight forty five. And again it says take it takes an hour. It says to take a minivan, and I'm like, that's not happening. What's that's the quickest way. Well to get be at Magic Kingdom by 9.45. Take your photo, ride the people mover, because it's probably the lowest weight, and have a snack. Okay. It said keep this visit the shortest since you were here last night. Like, okay. and then monorail to Epcot. do Spaceship Earth or Living with the Land because it's the easiest. And get a snack. Breakfast and Yep. And then walk towards International Gateway, take the Skyliner. so all the way toward the back. Mm-hmm. and then it says do Star Tours, which has have you ever done Star Tours? That's gonna be the thing with the least amount of weight. Yeah, definitely not. And leave Hollywood Studios around two forty five to go get our luggage. Just sounds excessive. We don't have to get our luggage if we drop it with If we do the thing. I didn't put that in there. If we do the Yeah. Yeah. That would give us an extra hour. Yeah. Right. I mean I'll probably still have a carry-on. Or a per s bigger personal item. We'll see. What all I have to put in my suitcase. Like my popcorn bucket. You can carry that. Just latch it onto your back. That is true. So No that I mean It just sounds so rushed. It does. Yeah. I'd rather I'd rather take a chill morning. I'd rather prior I would rather prioritize trying to stay as late as possible at the Halloween party and s getting a late checkout and hanging out at Disney Springs or go doing like a resort lunch somewhere. Yeah. You know. I'd rather that. I think so too. I mean it'll save us about three hundred dollars. That's okay. Here's what we're gonna do. When we go in twenty twenty eight, even if I have a child, enough of my family will be with me that they can take the child for the day and we'll do four parts one day. Cause see, I feel like yes, it's very doable. It's just But we could do this and still have the rest of our day to do other stuff. If we're like st if we're there. Or we could do this and ride a real ride. Yeah. You know? Yeah. Not living with the land and then Star Tours. so yeah. I mean if that's like the only things we can do to make it in that time frame then. It's gonna be close for sure. I don't think it's worth it. I don't think it is either. It's sad. What if we did a one park day together? See that's what I was thinking still too. But then it goes back to which park? Comment below. Somebody comment on something, please. Do something. I mean what would you want to do? You already know. You wanna do Hollywood Studios. But I still like See and I kinda would maybe this would be our day to do Epcot. I don't know. You know? Because we couldn't get like late star over it. Yeah. Maybe. Do our fave. Mm-hmm. And what else? I don't know, there's not a whole lot of rides there that I'm still like It's not if I have to wait a super long time for it. That I think we need to s scratch the four parks one day 'cause I've been seeing stuff about wine and dime weekend, that traffic's gonna be horrible to get us anywhere if we're not taking Disney transportation in the morning. Even taking it, it's just so Also because of wait the is that the run wait, the run? Mm-hmm. That's the run? okay. Mm-hmm. So then Epcot's probably gonna be the busiest park. Don't you think? Mm. Actually I don't know. I bet we can I bet we can Yeah. Find out. I was seeing stuff today on Facebook about it, so I'm sure it'll come back up at some point. 'cause the run is on well there's two, right? There's a Friday morning, a Saturday morning, and a Sunday morning, I wanna say. Now there is now Epcot will have and they have that is what I saw today, they have an after party between ten PM and one AM for the Marathon Runners. Okay. So yeah, Friday's the five K, Saturday's the ten K and Sunday's the half. So yeah, the after party's on Sunday from 10 to 1 with admissions starting at 5. So somebody's gonna be busy for Epcot for sure. Mm-hmm. That might be I mean I Again, if we do Epcot, I feel like that would be like you said, that's a good time for us to like enjoy it without the pressure. You know? Yeah. It's also a skyliner. It's a skyliner, it's really close. It'll it's really convenient. It's closer than Hollywood Studios. We do we love Hollywood Studios, but those lines I don't know. They get long and feel like you're just yeah. So I think if but if we see you do have caught, I feel like we just need to I don't know. I almost wanna just bite the bullet 'cause we need to get our lightning lane. We can decide while we go get our nails done. So it's between Epcot and Hollywood Studios. okay. Right. I mean. Just because it's Hollywood Studios. Yeah. Yeah. But then if we go to Hollywood Studios, we just have to know like we're not gonna get But an Epcot would be easier because we wouldn't have to feel like we have to get there super early either. There's just a couple things we really wanna do. Mm-hmm. And it's Much less than a park opera ticket, but relatively less, yeah. And they I mean they they're they vary too though from day to day, but I don't know. I would just want to make sure, like if we could like historically look at the data, you know, which park is gonna be less crowded, maybe. We can. I mean it's a Saturday. Epcot's a one ninety four, but so is Hollywood Studios. Animal Kingdom's one seventy nine. So that's our cheapest option. I feel like it's always the cheapest option. Of course. Of course. I mean The grand scheme of things. We were gonna do a park opera day. Right. Right. All right, so let's see. Crowd calendar. This is not only Wine and End weekend, it's the middle of food and wine. It's a Saturday. It's a Saturday. Okay, the twenty fourth. Hollywood Studios has the big warning sign for super busy for that day. But the whole day is red for every part. So it's not like, you know I'm trying to look at this is the one I like to look at that looks a little better to me. Yeah. I mean Surprise me. So but again, yeah, if we go in, you know, if we go into it, we're not gonna be rushed and we're just gonna do what we can do. Right. Yeah, so it says crowds at an eight. Animal Kingdom's good to go. Of course it is. yeah, busy day for this park for Hollywood Studios. So I don't know. Yeah. I don't know. We'll see. We'll see. It'll all work out the way it's supposed to work out. Figure it out. Maybe we need to go stuff. He hasn't responded to me. great. Okay, so that's it. A short episode. We do have some Disney news coming to us this week, right? We have our our Dreamlight Valley news. Yes, the sh the showcase. Showcase is on Wednesday. You might be hearing from us. Yes. Maybe. Maybe. Hopefully. Have to bring that computer. See, and that's that's why I would have to go back to the hotel. I don't think I would check this. Yeah. Yeah. So But if we're at an Epcot, it's a hop, skip, and a jump. Right. It's not that bad.
