- 0:24Rob Eno is here to do some rehab on the career of.
- 0:28Brian freaking Stelter,
- 0:29is this real life?
- 0:30I,
- 0:30I don't know.
- 0:30We'll see.
- 0:31Leon,
- 0:31Leon Wolf is going to join us to break down
- 0:33the multitude of mainstream media failures in this week's election,
- 0:37but we're going to start by doing the Democrats' blame game.
- 0:39Yes,
- 0:39we're in the one of the most fun times after an election where
- 0:43the losing campaign is just coming up with all
- 0:45sorts of reasons to blame all their enemies.
- 0:46It's going to be fun.
- 0:47Biden gets blamed by Harris' allies for
- 0:49the vice president's resounding loss to Trump.
- 0:52The biggest onus on this loss is on President Biden,
- 0:55said Andrew Yang,
- 0:55who ran against him.
- 0:57Uh,
- 0:57back in the day,
- 0:58if he had stepped down in January instead of July,
- 1:01we may be in a very,
- 1:01very different place.
- 1:02Maybe in 20 or 30 years,
- 1:04history will remember Biden for some of these achievements,
- 1:06said
- 1:07Taham Reilly,
- 1:08co-director of the Center for an American Independent
- 1:11and Sustainable Democracy at Arizona State University.
- 1:14But in the shorter term,
- 1:15I don't know that he escapes the legacy of
- 1:17being the president who beat Donald Trump only into usher
- 1:20in another Donald Trump administration 4 years later.
- 1:22By the way,
- 1:23like Biden's got this to fall back on.
- 1:25You can say what you want about all these elections,
- 1:27but he's gonna have
- 1:28the history books are going to say he was the only guy that beat Donald Trump.
- 1:32And
- 1:32the,
- 1:33the Harris people hate this.
- 1:35The Clinton people hate it,
- 1:36and he's going to try to remind everybody of it constantly.
- 1:39Uh,
- 1:39some high ranking Democrats,
- 1:40including 3 advisers to the Harris campaign,
- 1:42expressed deep frustration with Biden for failing
- 1:44to recognize earlier in the election cycle
- 1:46that he was not up to the challenge.
- 1:48The advisors spoke on the condition of anonymity
- 1:50because they were not authorized to comment publicly.
- 1:53Now,
- 1:53of course.
- 1:54What's hilarious about this is
- 1:55they could have just said it.
- 1:58They could have leaked stuff to the media
- 2:00to make them report it.
- 2:01They could have encouraged them to push it along.
- 2:03They decided not to.
- 2:04And of course the media kind of doesn't like Harris all that much,
- 2:06even though they faked it later on.
- 2:07Here is,
- 2:08by the way,
- 2:09senior
- 2:10White House correspondent of CNN MJ Lee on all of this.
- 2:14One thing that we are clearly already starting to see
- 2:17take place is finger pointing and the blame game,
- 2:20and a lot of that is going to be directed at President Biden.
- 2:24And this is.
- 2:25Coming from some folks inside of the Harris campaign,
- 2:28one senior official
- 2:29I just talked to said Biden will hold a lot of blame for it,
- 2:33and frankly they said
- 2:35he should.
- 2:36One of the ways in which he is being blamed right now
- 2:39actually just goes back to the simple decision of seeking
- 2:42a second term and re-election in the first place.
- 2:45They had plenty of chances to stop that.
- 2:47They decided not to.
- 2:48They decided to lie to all of us about it and say he was sharp as a tack.
- 2:53I mean it's just unbelievable they're going to blame him.
- 2:56I mean,
- 2:56the guy gave up his presidency.
- 2:57He gave up his legacy eventually.
- 2:59He didn't want to,
- 3:00but he did do it eventually.
- 3:01And the fact that they're going to blame him is just embarrassing.
- 3:04And now the other side is also leaking stuff in the media and getting stuff written.
- 3:08Uh,
- 3:08maybe Joe Biden was right.
- 3:10He could have beaten Donald Trump.
- 3:11The deposing of Biden will remain a great
- 3:13source of controversy within the Democratic Party.
- 3:15Stephen Shire,
- 3:16political scientist and analyst,
- 3:17told Newsweek.
- 3:18It's clear that Biden,
- 3:19even with his cognitive disabilities,
- 3:21which they're now just admitting,
- 3:22by the way,
- 3:22uh,
- 3:23would have performed better than Harris in states like Pennsylvania.
- 3:26I mean,
- 3:28I don't know.
- 3:28To me it seems like she probably actually did
- 3:31a little bit better than he would have done.
- 3:32I don't know that for a fact.
- 3:34I don't think there's any way either one of
- 3:35them are gonna beat Trump in this election,
- 3:37uh,
- 3:38but it was close.
- 3:39I mean,
- 3:39if you go back,
- 3:39people are gonna look at this as this big blowout.
- 3:42There's 7 swing states.
- 3:43All of them,
- 3:44he won by less than what,
- 3:46uh,
- 3:464 or 5 points is the max right now.
- 3:49That'll probably still tighten as they count in Arizona
- 3:51and Nevada.
- 3:52Uh,
- 3:53most of the.
- 3:53States though were like 12 point states.
- 3:56It was a pretty close race,
- 3:57generally speaking,
- 3:59but
- 3:59he won all 7 of the swing states.
- 4:01Now why did that happen?
- 4:02Voters were fed up over immigration and they voted for Trump.
- 4:05Well,
- 4:05this was obvious
- 4:07to anyone
- 4:08who looked at any of this.
- 4:10We all know,
- 4:11it was one of one of the top issues the entire time,
- 4:13and this is one of the reasons why at the end of the day,
- 4:15even though I did think it was a close race,
- 4:17I wound up picking Donald Trump to win it,
- 4:20because
- 4:20the undercurrent here
- 4:22is really,
- 4:22really significant in his direction.
- 4:25People really didn't want,
- 4:27uh,
- 4:28to,
- 4:28uh,
- 4:28reward a party who just did what they just did.
- 4:33It was 4 years of a horror show.
- 4:36Whether you like Trump or not,
- 4:37you don't want to reward that.
- 4:39And that kind of what I think at the end of the day was the difference.
- 4:41Uh,
- 4:42all those A-list celebs couldn't save Harris,
- 4:44but Joe Rogan
- 4:46helped Trump.
- 4:47I mean,
- 4:47one of my favorite observations of this,
- 4:49uh,
- 4:49from,
- 4:49uh,
- 4:49Glenn,
- 4:50uh,
- 4:50back over this
- 4:52election cycle was his talking about
- 4:54this
- 4:55podcast theory,
- 4:56right?
- 4:56And you know.
- 4:59The podcast thing I think was a brilliant
- 5:01take by the campaign,
- 5:03uh,
- 5:03because,
- 5:04uh,
- 5:04you know,
- 5:04look,
- 5:05putting Donald Trump in a room with,
- 5:07you know,
- 5:07Maggie Haberman for the 15th time wasn't gonna move one vote for him.
- 5:11Putting him in a room for a fun,
- 5:13kind of jokey,
- 5:14but kind of serious 3 hour conversation with Joe Rogan,
- 5:17that's hitting voters that don't normally even get to the polls.
- 5:19And it's also where Trump shines,
- 5:21because he's an interesting guy,
- 5:22he's had an incredible life.
- 5:24He can tell great stories about people you know,
- 5:26you know.
- 5:27And you know,
- 5:28you have a different relationship
- 5:30with a Joe Rogan,
- 5:32if you listen to him,
- 5:33and a Jennifer Aniston,
- 5:35if you watch her.
- 5:36Jennifer Aniston is a star.
- 5:38Beyonce's a star.
- 5:39Taylor Swift is a star.
- 5:41These are people that don't,
- 5:41you don't seem like you can relate to.
- 5:44And look,
- 5:44Joe Rogan makes as much money as a lot of those people do.
- 5:47He's got a massive audience,
- 5:49but he comes off as kind of like your friend.
- 5:51And you kind of feel like you're listening to some guy that you,
- 5:53you have beers with.
- 5:55Taylor Swift doesn't feel like that to anybody,
- 5:56even if you like her music.
- 5:58She's like this star that's above everything.
- 6:00That's not the way that she comes off,
- 6:02and it's not the way that Joe Rogan comes off.
- 6:04It's like,
- 6:05so even though he's very,
- 6:06very famous,
- 6:06he doesn't come off that way.
- 6:08So it's like your friend telling you
- 6:09maybe who you should vote for rather than some celebrity you can't connect with.
- 6:14Let me give you a little piece of Ezra Klein,
- 6:16who had a longer essay about this.
- 6:19It included
- 6:20some of the Joe Rogan effect in it.
- 6:22I thought this part was interesting.
- 6:23Listen.
- 6:23The Democratic Party had spent years kicking people out of its tent.
- 6:28I just went and I listened to some of the
- 6:29appearance Elon Musk made on Joe Rogan's podcast on Monday.
- 6:34It's gotten really deeply weird and right wing and conspiratorial over there.
- 6:38It wasn't that many years ago that Rogan
- 6:40had Bernie Sanders on for a friendly interview.
- 6:43And then Rogan kind of sort of endorsed him.
- 6:46And you know what happened after that?
- 6:49Many liberals were furious at Bernie Sanders for going on Rogan in the first place.
- 6:53I was still on Twitter back then and I wrote about
- 6:57how of course Bernie Sanders was right to be there,
- 6:59that the fact that Sanders could attract people like Rogan
- 7:02was one of the very best arguments for his campaign,
- 7:04one of the reasons
- 7:05he might be able to beat someone like Donald Trump.
- 7:08This was 2020.
- 7:10If you wanted to beat Trump,
- 7:11of course you try to win over Rogan and his voters.
- 7:14But online liberals got so pissed at me for that,
- 7:18I was briefly a trending topic on Twitter.
- 7:20Rogan was a transphobe,
- 7:22an Islamophobe,
- 7:23a sexist,
- 7:25the kind of person you wanted to marginalize,
- 7:27not the kind of person you wanted to talk to.
- 7:30But if these last years have proven anything,
- 7:32it's,
- 7:32you don't get to choose who is marginalized.
- 7:35Democrats should have been going on Rogan regularly all these years.
- 7:38They should have been prioritizing it this year.
- 7:40Yes,
- 7:41Harris should have been there and in places like it.
- 7:43Same for Tim Walsh.
- 7:45On YouTube alone,
- 7:45Rogan's interview with Trump
- 7:47was viewed some 46 million times.
- 7:50You're just gonna abandon that?
- 7:53In an election where you think the other side winning means fascism,
- 7:57kind of a good point,
- 7:58and I think it's actually true.
- 7:59He's obviously a liberal,
- 8:00but he's saying,
- 8:01I think the truth here,
- 8:03which is
- 8:04the left has been just surgically and systematically
- 8:07cutting out pieces of the population and saying,
- 8:11you're not up to snuff,
- 8:12you're not pure enough for us,
- 8:14go away,
- 8:14you're a phobe.
- 8:15Of some sort,
- 8:16you're an ist
- 8:17of some sort
- 8:18that burned them and good.
- 8:20I'm glad it did because their,
- 8:22their ideology is toxic,
- 8:24but hey,
- 8:25we're here for what
- 8:26this is the last show of the week for me and
- 8:28I want to celebrate a little bit and just just just revel
- 8:32in all of their wallowing.
- 8:34Here is Stephen Colbert last night.
- 8:37Well,
- 8:41It happened
- 8:43again.
- 8:44After a bizarre and vicious campaign fueled by a desperate need not to go to jail,
- 8:48Donald Trump has won the 2024 election.
- 8:50All day yesterday I was walking around proudly wearing my I Voted sticker.
- 8:54Today I wore my I am questioning my
- 8:57fundamental belief in the goodness of humanity sticker.
- 9:00Get those out.
- 9:02Give those out
- 9:03at a bake sale
- 9:06outside,
- 9:07uh,
- 9:07now as a late night host,
- 9:08people often say to me,
- 9:10come on,
- 9:11part of you has gotta want Trump to win
- 9:14because he gives you so much material to work with.
- 9:17No,
- 9:18no.
- 9:20No one tells the guy who cleans the bathroom,
- 9:22wow,
- 9:22you must love it when someone has explosive diarrhea.
- 9:25There's so much material for you to work with.
- 9:29Get it?
- 9:30Now,
- 9:30it's the same.
- 9:32You understand that?
- 9:33See how they're learning.
- 9:34I wish you wish,
- 9:36so many of us wish this hadn't happened,
- 9:38but that is not for us to decide.
- 9:40This is a democracy.
- 9:42That's democracy with a capital
- 9:44duh.
- 9:46And in this democracy,
- 9:47the majority has spoken,
- 9:49and they said they don't care that much about democracy.
- 9:52It's not a democracy,
- 9:53Steve,
- 9:54just so you know,
- 9:56not that you'd ever learn,
- 9:57but
- 9:58by the way,
- 9:58if you've thought being called garbage was bad,
- 10:00now you've been called diarrhea,
- 10:01so congratulations.
- 10:03Here is Jimmy Kimmel,
- 10:04and he's very tearful.
- 10:07Let's be honest,
- 10:08it was a terrible night last night.
- 10:10It was a terrible night
- 10:11for women,
- 10:12for children,
- 10:13for the hundreds of thousands of,
- 10:14of hardworking immigrants who make this country go,
- 10:17um,
- 10:19for healthcare,
- 10:20for what happened to this guy,
- 10:23Mr.
- 10:24Women jumping on trampolines and bikinis guy is doing this for justice,
- 10:28for free speech.
- 10:29It was a terrible night for poor people,
- 10:31for the middle class,
- 10:32for seniors who rely on Social Security,
- 10:34for our allies in Ukraine.
- 10:37For NATO,
- 10:38for
- 10:39the truth,
- 10:40oh my God,
- 10:41and democracy and decency,
- 10:45and it was a terrible night for everyone who voted against him and guess what,
- 10:48it was a bad night for everyone who voted for him too.
- 10:50You just don't realize it yet and
- 10:52see,
- 10:52you're too dumb,
- 10:53you're too dumb.
- 10:54You're garbage,
- 10:55you're diarrhea,
- 10:55and you're too dumb to know your vote
- 10:58was a good idea.
- 10:59That's the attitude
- 11:00you're gonna see more and more of it.
- 11:02Here is uh Nicole
- 11:04Wallace giving us some new information.
- 11:06The country we have lives in two totally
- 11:09separated information ecosystems.
- 11:12Whatever happens,
- 11:13we'll have to really understand the information
- 11:16consumption that young men have and why they
- 11:17think that the economy will be better under Donald Trump when it never was.
- 11:21It never was.
- 11:22The Trump economy.
- 11:23It was terrible.
- 11:24Now of course for Nicole Wallace it's better because she was basically a
- 11:27no name Republican and now she's making millions of dollars at MSNBC.
- 11:31So her economy is doing great
- 11:32in the Biden era.
- 11:34How about The View?
- 11:36Yes,
- 11:36the Queens of awful,
- 11:38The View.
- 11:40It would help if we could regulate social media because one of the
- 11:42biggest offenders is DC and Congress have not been able to do one thing
- 11:47in regard to the rogue corporations
- 11:52we would definitely win if the other side couldn't speak.
- 11:56It would be so much easier.
- 11:57What if we regulate them completely out of existence?
- 12:00That'll work.
- 12:01Oh,
- 12:01that's a fun one.
- 12:02a little more.
- 12:03I mean,
- 12:03one clip is not enough from The View.
- 12:06I'm surprised at the results,
- 12:08but I'm not surprised.
- 12:10As a woman of color,
- 12:14that a mixed race woman married to a Jewish guy
- 12:16could be elected president of this country,
- 12:19and I think that it had nothing to do with policy.
- 12:22I think this was a referendum of um.
- 12:25Cultural resentment
- 12:26in this country.
- 12:27Got it.
- 12:27You're a racist,
- 12:28that's why you're a racist and a sexist.
- 12:30And by the way,
- 12:31it's,
- 12:32it's us Republicans who are really worried about Jews.
- 12:37I mean,
- 12:37has anyone seen any of the college protests where
- 12:41they cheer on freaking Hamas decapitating Jewish children,
- 12:44but it's us.
- 12:45We're scared of the Jews.
- 12:48That's us,
- 12:49apparently.
- 12:50Unfreaking believable.
- 12:52How about Morning Joe?
- 12:55But it's not just misogyny from white men.
- 12:58It's misogyny from Hispanic men.
- 13:00It's misogyny from black men,
- 13:02things we've all been talking about
- 13:04who do not want a woman.
- 13:06Leading them
- 13:07might be race issues
- 13:09with Hispanics.
- 13:11They don't want a black woman
- 13:12as president of the United States.
- 13:13Oh,
- 13:14no,
- 13:14it's,
- 13:15I see,
- 13:15it's all skin color and genitals and all the things.
- 13:19It's not because she sucks.
- 13:21And by the way,
- 13:22every single Democrat before
- 13:25Joe Biden dropped out of this race would have told you the exact same thing.
- 13:28She sucks.
- 13:28They leaked it to the media constantly.
- 13:31But they had to pretend.
- 13:33Uh,
- 13:33here is,
- 13:34you want to see how well she did in comparison to Joe Biden?
- 13:36Let Jake Tapper explain it for you.
- 13:38So you asked,
- 13:39are there any places that the vice president is overperforming
- 13:42Joe Biden in 2020?
- 13:43So we can show you that as well.
- 13:44We just bring that out here.
- 13:45Harris overperforming in 2020.
- 13:47Holy smokes.
- 13:48There you go.
- 13:48Uh,
- 13:49so let this go away and see if there's anything
- 13:50on the east side there.
- 13:52Uh,
- 13:52literally nothing.
- 13:57Literally
- 13:58nothing,
- 13:59which is,
- 14:00by the way,
- 14:00what her entire campaign was about.
- 14:02Uh,
- 14:02Bette Midler has deactivated her ex account.
- 14:05Uh,
- 14:05why?
- 14:05Because she posted a photo that is she would drink Drano
- 14:08if Trump won.
- 14:09We don't know if that's the reason she deactivated it.
- 14:11Maybe she actually drank the Drano.
- 14:13I don't know.
- 14:14I don't know that would be very,
- 14:15very sad.
- 14:16Look,
- 14:16they're not going to do any introspection,
- 14:17I don't think.
- 14:18I mean there's even a chance of it.
- 14:20Um,
- 14:20you know,
- 14:21they went off the deep end
- 14:23and over and over again we told them don't go off the deep end.
- 14:26I don't know why we told them,
- 14:27we were giving them free campaign advice,
- 14:28but they didn't listen to it thankfully.
- 14:30Maybe that was the best way to make them not listen to it by us encouraging them to
- 14:33get sane.
- 14:34You knew they would not become sane.
- 14:36And what's going on here and one of the reasons why you're not going
- 14:38to see any reflection from the media in a situation like this is because
- 14:42this sort of social media effect,
- 14:44right?
- 14:44We all know that on,
- 14:45for example,
- 14:46Twitter
- 14:49engagement is king,
- 14:50right on all the social media platforms.
- 14:52So the people who kind of say boring things
- 14:54don't really get lots and lots of retweets.
- 14:56It's more people who kind of say the more,
- 15:00I don't want to say outlandish,
- 15:01sometimes it's outlandish,
- 15:02but.
- 15:02Uh,
- 15:03Words that kind of entice,
- 15:05right?
- 15:05Get people fired up.
- 15:06The more you can get people fired up,
- 15:08the more interaction you get,
- 15:09the better you do.
- 15:11And it's like,
- 15:11that's always been a social media phenomenon from the beginning.
- 15:13That's not Twitter's fault.
- 15:14It's human beings' fault,
- 15:16OK?
- 15:16You chase kind of the most salacious stuff.
- 15:20The media though,
- 15:21has now become
- 15:23social media.
- 15:25They now,
- 15:26because there will be maybe a few more journalists who are like,
- 15:29gosh,
- 15:29maybe we handled that poorly.
- 15:31But
- 15:31their audience doesn't want to hear that.
- 15:33They want to hear actually Donald Trump stole the election.
- 15:36It was the Russians.
- 15:37So those people will get promoted.
- 15:39Those people will get the social media clicks.
- 15:41Those people will get the jobs
- 15:42in the media.
- 15:43And now it's starting to even filter up to the White House.
- 15:46Why do you think they had TikTok influencers,
- 15:48women,
- 15:49men with beards and dresses
- 15:51at the White House?
- 15:52Because they're becoming TikTok too.
- 15:54And so only the worst instincts of the left will continue to be reinforced.
- 15:58So if you think they're going to get any better,
- 15:59they won't.
- 16:00It's only going to get worse and worse and worse and worse,
- 16:02and it's just a matter
- 16:04as to whether
- 16:05conservatives can put in a sane agenda and govern effectively.
- 16:09That's the only thing in the way of conservative principles going forward.
- 16:14Not always easy for Republicans to do so.
- 16:16We'll see how well that goes over the next few years.
- 16:29Going online without Express VPN would be a little bit
- 16:32like forgetting to mute yourself on a Zoom call,
- 16:34you know,
- 16:35you don't necessarily want people to know what you're saying about them
- 16:38under your breath.
- 16:39Without Express VPN,
- 16:40your internet service provider,
- 16:41your mobile provider,
- 16:42any Wi Fi network administrators,
- 16:44they can all see what websites you're visiting.
- 16:46They can see
- 16:47whatever you're doing,
- 16:48no matter,
- 16:48even if you go into incognito mode.
- 16:50Now you might feel like you've got nothing to hide,
- 16:52uh,
- 16:52but the truth is it's your information,
- 16:54and so it doesn't belong to anyone else.
- 16:56They don't get,
- 16:56they don't need to see it.
- 16:57It's yours.
- 16:59And you know,
- 16:59basically,
- 17:00that's the way the world works.

- 17:14I don't know about you,
- 17:15but I like my data.
- 17:16I don't want it stolen,

- 17:37Well,
- 17:37we're sort of reveling in the Democrat blame game today.
- 17:40I wanna bring in Leon Wolf,
- 17:41managing editor,
- 17:42uh,
- 17:43managing news editor for Blaze Media.
- 17:45He is,
- 17:45uh,
- 17:46got a new piece out.
- 17:46It's on the Blaze.com.
- 17:48It is called Should,
- 17:49uh,
- 17:49the,
- 17:49the Democrats Should Blame the Media
- 17:52for Harris's loss.
- 17:53Be sure to check it out.
- 17:54Leon.
- 17:54It's been a while,
- 17:55man.
- 17:55Good to see you.
- 17:57Yeah,
- 17:57it's good.
- 17:57Always good to talk to a fellow Coke Zero enthusiast.
- 18:00Thanks for having me on.
- 18:01I've got one right down here.
- 18:02Um,
- 18:02uh,
- 18:03Leon,
- 18:03uh,
- 18:04let me go to your piece here because this is really interesting.
- 18:06You make a really good case as to why the media is,
- 18:10uh,
- 18:10while constantly trying to help the Democrats,
- 18:12actually is causing problems,
- 18:13but it sort of starts
- 18:15with a chance meeting with the one,
- 18:16the only Joe Biden.
- 18:18Tell me how this happened.
- 18:20Well,
- 18:21so for the sake of kind of getting to the point,
- 18:23I actually omitted many of the crazier details of that story,
- 18:26which included the fact that actor Stephen Baldwin of
- 18:28all people was there at the table with me.
- 18:30Um,
- 18:31it was,
- 18:31uh,
- 18:32you know,
- 18:32I,
- 18:32so I worked for Sam Brownback in 2007,
- 18:352008,
- 18:36you know,
- 18:37he ran for president,
- 18:37did not succeed,
- 18:38didn't even make it to the Iowa caucuses.
- 18:41And
- 18:41I had been at the um Ames straw poll,
- 18:44which used to be a big deal.
- 18:45I think that's one of the greatest services Donald Trump has
- 18:48done for the GOP is killing the importance of that thing.
- 18:51But I digress.
- 18:52So we've gone to the Ames straw poll,
- 18:54uh
- 18:55Brownback did not do well,
- 18:56we all kind of knew that the campaign was over.
- 18:58So I'm trying to head home in the airport,
- 19:00and um,
- 19:01my flight gets delayed,
- 19:02I end up stuck in this airport bar.
- 19:05Stephen Baldwin,
- 19:06and
- 19:07Joe Biden is there.
- 19:08There's like 4 people,
- 19:09I think there's probably 1 bar in the whole Des Moines airport.
- 19:12I don't know what it is like now,
- 19:13but back then I,
- 19:14it was the only one I saw.
- 19:16And I see a guy walking around,
- 19:17there's like 4 other people in this whole bar,
- 19:19and I see a guy walking around talking to people and I look and I'm like,
- 19:21oh crap,
- 19:22that's Joe Biden.
- 19:23I really did not wanna talk,
- 19:24I'm like I can recognize him from TV.
- 19:26I definitely did not wanna
- 19:27have a conversation.
- 19:29Anyway,
- 19:29he makes his way over to me.
- 19:31And I,
- 19:32I really did feel sorry for him at least a little bit,
- 19:34even though I've never particularly liked him,
- 19:36because I was like,
- 19:36you know,
- 19:36here's the United States senator
- 19:38going around to this airport bar trying to shake hands with like 4 people.
- 19:41It was,
- 19:42it was kind of a sad thing,
- 19:43you know,
- 19:43he was running for president too,
- 19:45he,
- 19:45he also would not succeed.
- 19:46So he comes up to me
- 19:47and he says,
- 19:48you know,
- 19:48hi,
- 19:49you know,
- 19:49I'm Joe Biden.
- 19:50I was like yeah.
- 19:50I,
- 19:50I know who you are.
- 19:51I was like let me just save you some time.
- 19:52I don't even live here in Iowa,
- 19:53I'm here actually to work on a Republican campaign.
- 19:56I thought that would kind of be the end of it,
- 19:57but instead he's like,
- 19:58oh really,
- 19:59which one?
- 20:00And I told him,
- 20:01and you know,
- 20:02at the time,
- 20:02of course the Iraq war was a big deal,
- 20:04and I don't know if you're,
- 20:06you know,
- 20:07viewers will recall,
- 20:08but there was a plan.
- 20:10Iraq into three different pieces that was being bandied about,
- 20:12it ultimately wasn't successful,
- 20:15and both uh Brownback and Joe Biden were on board with that plan.
- 20:18So he wanted to sit down and talk with me at some great length about,
- 20:21he really likes Sam Brownback and was,
- 20:23you know,
- 20:24excited to work with him on all this stuff,
- 20:25and I just really wanted to,
- 20:27to,
- 20:27to,
- 20:27to go home and be back with,
- 20:29with my family and all these things,
- 20:30but it was
- 20:31Interesting experience for sure.
- 20:34It definitely was.
- 20:36It's a crazy story.
- 20:38That Iowa airport around that time of year,
- 20:40it just brings constant craziness,
- 20:43stories you'll never forget.
- 20:45But,
- 20:46uh,
- 20:46so you know you go into the media in the piece and it's interesting because you use
- 20:50the Joe Biden change from when you talked to him 20 years ago where he was,
- 20:54you know,
- 20:55still very liberal and and and had his gaffe problems,
- 20:58but was
- 20:59a talker,
- 20:59was a guy who could maintain a conversation that could be persuasive,
- 21:04and you compare him to the person we've seen over the past 4 years
- 21:08and you know the media
- 21:11has these same experiences,
- 21:12right?
- 21:13They've seen this decline.
- 21:15Yeah,
- 21:15whatever you want to say about the Joe Biden in 2007,
- 21:18who was someone I would never have voted for under any circumstances,
- 21:21but
- 21:22He was still clearly a sharp guy,
- 21:23I mean,
- 21:24one of the things that used to be,
- 21:26in,
- 21:26in terms of Joe Biden's assets was he was,
- 21:28he was affable,
- 21:29you know,
- 21:30he was mentally agile,
- 21:31you know,
- 21:31he could talk,
- 21:32you know,
- 21:33to a certain kind of person he was charming,
- 21:35um,
- 21:36you know,
- 21:36he gave off this aura that he was just kind of an everyman,
- 21:39really loved America and all the great people that lived here,
- 21:42I think a lot of it was fake,
- 21:43but he was really good at selling it to a lot of people,
- 21:46um.
- 21:47And,
- 21:48you know,
- 21:48so it's when I saw him in 2020,
- 21:51you know,
- 21:52campaigning,
- 21:52it was,
- 21:53it really was quite shocking,
- 21:54it was,
- 21:55it was like physically he resembled the same guy,
- 21:57but you could really just tell that
- 21:59um the same lights were not on.
- 22:01I mean he just,
- 22:02he just absolutely did not have it.
- 22:04And
- 22:05the thing that really frustrates me about this is that
- 22:08we all saw on June 27th when he had that debate against Donald Trump,
- 22:13what kind of state he was in.
- 22:14And as,
- 22:15as anybody who's had a relative or a friend who's
- 22:18kind of gone through that age-related cognitive decline process,
- 22:21you know they don't get from being
- 22:23perfectly fine one day,
- 22:25to that condition the next.
- 22:27And they were telling us,
- 22:30Uh,
- 22:30literally 3 days,
- 22:31one of the articles that I,
- 22:32that I cited there,
- 22:34uh,
- 22:34from the Poynter Institute,
- 22:35literally 3 days before that performance,
- 22:37they were telling us
- 22:38that all the evidence that he was not mentally fit,
- 22:41that he was having a cognitive decline was,
- 22:43was right-wing disinformation,
- 22:44and it was just a lie.
- 22:46I can't
- 22:47be the only one.
- 22:49Who
- 22:50saw Joe Biden from back what he used to be,
- 22:53and from what he was
- 22:54in 2020 and after,
- 22:56and was like,
- 22:56oh my gosh,
- 22:57this clearly is not the same guy.
- 22:59Uh,
- 22:59the,
- 22:59the media had,
- 23:00you know,
- 23:01there were people who,
- 23:01who knew him and talked to him way more,
- 23:04and not one of them.
- 23:04Those people was like,
- 23:05hey,
- 23:06listen,
- 23:07uh,
- 23:07put aside the fact that this is our partisan preference that he should win,
- 23:11there really is a serious problem here.
- 23:13And
- 23:14the media failed the American people and they failed the Democrats too,
- 23:17because
- 23:18in the process of trying to protect them,
- 23:21Uh,
- 23:21by bolstering Biden,
- 23:23they prevented the Democrats from either nominating
- 23:25someone else other than Kamala Harris,
- 23:27who I think would have been a,
- 23:29a good avenge,
- 23:29or
- 23:30option B,
- 23:32forcing Biden to resign early so that she could have been an actual incumbent.
- 23:35Like she could have had an actual chance to put her
- 23:38stamp and her policies on things and take credit for things,
- 23:41because she really was
- 23:42in a quite difficult position
- 23:44to say she was tied to Biden and everything he did,
- 23:46but she really didn't have a ton of control
- 23:49over what the administration.
- 23:50was going to do.
- 23:52So either way would have been a preferable outcome for Democrats,
- 23:55I think at the end of the day.
- 23:56And the reason they didn't have that is because the
- 23:58media was hiding what they knew about Biden's condition.
- 24:02Yeah,
- 24:02I mean,
- 24:02it's not always good to have someone who's on your
- 24:05side rooting for you and telling you everything is fine,
- 24:08you know,
- 24:09if you've,
- 24:10you know,
- 24:10if you are going through life problems,
- 24:12maybe you're drinking too much,
- 24:13and God only knows what's going on,
- 24:15if you have people in your life saying no,
- 24:16you're not,
- 24:16you're totally fine,
- 24:17actually that's their problem,
- 24:18they're the bad person.
- 24:20You're enabling terrible behavior
- 24:22and the media really kind of did that with the Democrats.
- 24:25They put them
- 24:26in a position,
- 24:27and I don't look,
- 24:27I don't think Kamala Harris was a good candidate and
- 24:30I don't think she would have won either way,
- 24:31but you're right,
- 24:32that would have given her a better chance.
- 24:34Instead she was stuck with this thing where either she had to make a choice to say,
- 24:38Actually,
- 24:38Joe Biden was really bad.
- 24:40He was failing,
- 24:41and I tried to convince him not to do the X,
- 24:44Y,
- 24:44and Z,
- 24:45and I'm going to
- 24:46go against him,
- 24:46which she never was going to do.
- 24:48But that at least
- 24:49could have been
- 24:50maybe a path to success,
- 24:52or she had to do what she wound up doing,
- 24:53which was to sort of argue.
- 24:55We know everything's terrible,
- 24:57but it's the president before us.
- 24:59It's his fault.
- 25:00It's the Trump era,
- 25:02not our presidency.
- 25:03I mean these were insane arguments they were forced to make
- 25:06because they had to show that loyalty to Joe Biden.
- 25:09They couldn't say that the presidency went badly,
- 25:12and at the end of the day,
- 25:14I don't know that it was the reason they lost,
- 25:15but it certainly did not help.
- 25:18No,
- 25:18like,
- 25:20Kamala Harris was not a good candidate,
- 25:22and as I say in the piece,
- 25:23it's not,
- 25:23it's not me that said that,
- 25:24it was Democrats that said that.
- 25:26She ran in 2020,
- 25:27didn't even make Iowa,
- 25:28I mean,
- 25:29did worse than Brownback,
- 25:30and she started with way more money.
- 25:31She had the endorsement of the Clintons,
- 25:33she had this huge war chest that she blew through,
- 25:36uh,
- 25:36and was ultimately forced,
- 25:37even though she raised tens of millions of dollars,
- 25:40to withdraw because she ran out of money,
- 25:42of all things,
- 25:42uh,
- 25:43in,
- 25:43in late 2019.
- 25:45So it's not me who was the first person
- 25:47to say that Kamala Harris was a terrible candidate,
- 25:48it was the Democrats came to that conclusion first.
- 25:51But even if she were a really gifted,
- 25:54good candidate and politician,
- 25:56I think she was in an impossible position.
- 25:58I don't think that the most gifted politician in the country could have
- 26:01survived that that circumstance,
- 26:03and it is entirely because
- 26:06they the media participated in a cover-up until it was
- 26:09too late to do anything about it for the Democrats.
- 26:11And so
- 26:12when they're looking at,
- 26:12sure there's a lot of different
- 26:14blame to go around if you're a Democrat today and in the coming days,
- 26:18but one of the things that you ought to say is really the
- 26:21The media,
- 26:22you know,
- 26:23we deserve better,
- 26:24you know,
- 26:24just from a simple fact finding,
- 26:26you know,
- 26:26standpoint,
- 26:27is like,
- 26:28tell us the truth about what's going on.
- 26:30Uh,
- 26:30and we're gonna see it coming up in the next 4 years,
- 26:32you know,
- 26:33um,
- 26:34they're suddenly gonna rediscover their diligence in,
- 26:37um,
- 26:37examining the mental fitness of an aging president.
- 26:40And who's gonna listen after what happened,
- 26:42uh,
- 26:43with Biden,
- 26:43you know,
- 26:44even if there really is a problem that ends up developing,
- 26:46God forbid.
- 26:47Um,
- 26:48it's,
- 26:48it's a,
- 26:49it's a real problem that they have put the Democrats in the country at large in,
- 26:53quite frankly.
- 26:54Yeah,
- 26:54it's been really bad.
- 26:55Last one for you,
- 26:56Leon,
- 26:56we've got about a minute left.
- 26:57Do you think there's any hope for the media,
- 26:59like
- 27:00doing a little self-examination,
- 27:01maybe realizing the way they handle these situations
- 27:04is not the best for the country or even themselves or even the candidates
- 27:08they want to win.
- 27:08Any possibility of that?
- 27:11You know,
- 27:11I,
- 27:11I saw a little bit of that in the,
- 27:14in the couple weeks after the debate.
- 27:16There were some people who said,
- 27:17look,
- 27:18it isn't good
- 27:19that people who read The Blaze
- 27:21knew what was going on with Biden's health,
- 27:24mental health,
- 27:25and people who read the Washington Post did not.
- 27:27I,
- 27:27I saw a few people in the media making that kind of frank admission,
- 27:30but,
- 27:30but not nearly enough.
- 27:32And I think that one of the things that needs to happen,
- 27:35and I think that
- 27:36one of the,
- 27:37you know,
- 27:37Jeff Bezos,
- 27:38I've got a lot of problems with him.
- 27:40That he understands that
- 27:42there ought to be somebody in the newsroom of The Washington Post
- 27:45who voted for Donald Trump at least once out of the last 3 elections,
- 27:48you know,
- 27:48that encompasses probably more than half of,
- 27:50and I don't,
- 27:51I don't think
- 27:52one,
- 27:52I don't think there's one.
- 27:53And
- 27:54to me,
- 27:56that is a problem that they need to address,
- 27:58which is that they have to have,
- 27:59you know,
- 28:00at least some people who can,
- 28:01you know,
- 28:01say,
- 28:02look,
- 28:02guys,
- 28:03we're all from the same side,
- 28:05but we gotta consider this,
- 28:07um,
- 28:07as a reality and not just retreat back within our own bubble here and and and.
- 28:12Enforce the things that we already believe.
- 28:14Leon Wolff,

- 28:23for Harris's loss.
- 28:25Uh,
- 28:25Leon,
- 28:25uh,
- 28:26have a Coke Zero for me and thanks so much for coming on the program.
- 28:28Thanks,
- 28:29Duke.
- 28:29Good to talk to you as always.
- 28:37Any time in life that you have to make a big change,
- 28:40it's hard,
- 28:40and this is especially true when you're talking about a
- 28:42big change with big dollar signs all over it.
- 28:44That's you're talking about buying or selling a home,
- 28:46really complicated.
- 28:47It takes a lot of time and a lot of jumping through hoops,
- 28:50and of course the stakes are just about as high as
- 28:52they ever get in terms of financial decisions that you make.
- 28:55So
- 28:56obviously you need somebody who's good,
- 28:58who's on your side,
- 28:58uh,
- 28:59but you don't just want like any agent,
- 29:00you need somebody who is trustworthy.
- 29:03And that's why Real Estate Agents I Trust exists.
- 29:06It pairs you with the top selling real estate agents in your area,
- 29:09someone who knows the practices,
- 29:11someone who understands the crazy housing market,
- 29:13someone who's a team leader and a closer,
- 29:15someone you can trust.
- 29:16It's a big moment.
- 29:17You better have someone on your side.
- 29:19And if you're thinking about buying or selling your home,
- 29:21please get in touch with them.
- 29:21You'll see what I mean.
- 29:22It's real estate agents ITrust.com.
- 29:24It's a free service to you.
- 29:26You know,
- 29:26the name kind of says it all.
- 29:28Real Estate Agents ITrust.com.
- 29:29It's real estate agents Irust.com.
- 29:34Well,
- 29:34The Hill reports that the Democrats' election abortion strategy
- 29:39has fallen flat.
- 29:40They did get some of their measures passed,
- 29:43as we discussed a little bit earlier,
- 29:44but
- 29:45This is,
- 29:46I think,
- 29:46the key paragraph.
- 29:47I think the biggest obstacle to Democratic messaging was that Donald Trump had
- 29:50made very clear he did not support a national ban on abortion,
- 29:53and yet every major candidate ran on the platform
- 29:55of Donald Trump is going to pass a national ban on abortion,
- 29:59explained
- 29:59National Right to Life President
- 30:01Carol Tobias.
- 30:02So it just didn't ring true,
- 30:03and I think that's true.
- 30:04I don't think people really see Donald Trump as a hardcore abortion
- 30:07activist,
- 30:08but
- 30:09hopefully I do,
- 30:09I do hope that he's a little bit more on the in the 2000 in the first term.
- 30:15Trump
- 30:15than he was on the campaign,
- 30:16Donald Trump on that issue.
- 30:18Hopefully he puts some really good people
- 30:20in the Supreme Court and in other roles that can affect that policy in the right way.
- 30:24We will see.
- 30:24Harris says she concedes the election,
- 30:26but not her fight.
- 30:27Of course that's what every campaign
- 30:28basically says when you concede.
- 30:30Biden then congratulates Trump and invites him to the White House.
- 30:33I think what the Democrats are doing now
- 30:35is trying to take the loss that they already have and trying to make the best out of it,
- 30:38making the lemonade out of the lemons,
- 30:40by just saying like,
- 30:41Well,
- 30:42we're above all this.
- 30:42We're not going to go out and protest in the streets.
- 30:45Now I don't know if they can control their activists from doing these things,
- 30:47and at some point I'm sure they'll encourage those activists,
- 30:50but they're trying to say,
- 30:51well,
- 30:52look at,
- 30:52let's,
- 30:52let's give the high-minded speeches that will look
- 30:54good in the history books for now.
- 30:56We'll see how the rest of that develops later.
- 30:58And RFK Junior says entire departments at the FDA
- 31:01have to go.
- 31:01It will be interesting to see if the RFK.
- 31:04The Tulsi Gabbards,
- 31:05the Elon Musks
- 31:07will be given,
- 31:07how much power they will be given in this world
- 31:09and how Donald Trump is going to have to manage
- 31:12it because a lot of these people have very different
- 31:14views from Donald Trump on some of these issues.
- 31:17Controlling all of this at the same time is going to be quite the trick.
- 31:33OK,
- 31:33here's a question for you.
- 31:34Are you ready to secure the future of American values for generations to come?
- 31:38And do you know
- 31:40whether or not your investments are aligned with that goal?
- 31:43Donald Trump won,
- 31:44and that's great,
- 31:45but we've,
- 31:45uh,
- 31:46you know,
- 31:46maybe we've turned a corner here.
- 31:48But the work does not stop right now.
- 31:50There's still a ton of leftist nonsense out there to root out.
- 31:53Wouldn't you like to minimize the amount of money in your?
- 31:55Portfolio going towards things that you don't agree with,
- 31:58whether it's abortion or anti-family policies or drugs or alcohol,
- 32:01whatever it is to you,
- 32:02you shouldn't be investing in that stuff if you don't agree with it.
- 32:05Well,
- 32:05Constitutional Wealth can help you with that.
- 32:07They can divest you from,
- 32:09from your money from corporations that mock your values.

- 32:17is all about
- 32:18with Constitution Wealth you can partner with advisors who

- 32:42I'm joined by Rob Eno,
- 32:43resident media critic for Blaze TV.
- 32:45Rob,
- 32:45how's it going?
- 32:46Pretty good.
- 32:47Yeah,
- 32:47it's been a good week.
- 32:48It has been a surprisingly,
- 32:49unbelievably good week.
- 32:51If you had told me that we would win the popular vote ever again in my lifetime,
- 32:55I would have
- 32:55called you crazy.
- 32:56But yeah,
- 32:57but,
- 32:57uh,
- 32:58that looks like that's gonna happen even after
- 32:59they count all the votes in California.
- 33:01Um,
- 33:02so,
- 33:02uh,
- 33:03let's,
- 33:03uh,
- 33:03let's talk about the media because,
- 33:06you know,
- 33:06uh,
- 33:07my kind of like.
- 33:09way of looking at this election was it was the greatest test
- 33:13of the theory that the mainstream media is still a thing,
- 33:16right?
- 33:16Like if they are able to push Kamala Harris over the finish line
- 33:20with this 4-year record of her being part of this administration,
- 33:23it shows that the media is still really powerful.
- 33:25Obviously that didn't happen.
- 33:27What does that mean for the media?
- 33:29What that means for the media is that they still
- 33:31think that they have a monopoly on the truth,
- 33:35and that.
- 33:37They don't understand how people can think anything different than them.
- 33:40They think that they're experts
- 33:42in Washington DC,
- 33:43and New York City,
- 33:43and Boston,
- 33:44and San Francisco and LA.
- 33:46The experts that have opinions are,
- 33:48their opinions are truth,
- 33:50and they don't understand that actual
- 33:52people
- 33:53have problems.
- 33:54Remember,
- 33:54they,
- 33:54they've said,
- 33:55you,
- 33:56you turn on CNN anytime in the past 6 months and the economy was the most raring.
- 34:01Unbelievable economy
- 34:02that the country has ever had.
- 34:04Bonomics is working right,
- 34:06and
- 34:07I go to the grocery store and
- 34:09this is a joke,
- 34:10FBI,
- 34:11Secret Service.
- 34:12I feel like killing a politician every time I go to the grocery store,
- 34:14right?
- 34:15I mean,
- 34:16the anger wells inside of you when you get one little bag and it's $40.
- 34:21Right,
- 34:22and all you've gotten is,
- 34:23you know,
- 34:23how,
- 34:24how dare I want to have a rib eye
- 34:26and maybe a,
- 34:27a bottle of wine and like some potatoes to go with it to make mashed potatoes.
- 34:32And the three items cost 40 bucks,
- 34:34right?
- 34:34Like that.
- 34:36I don't,
- 34:37I think that it's always cost that much or they just always go out to eat and
- 34:40maybe the cost of going out to eat in those places hasn't gone up as much,
- 34:43so they don't see it.
- 34:44Well,
- 34:44a lot of these people with multiple commas
- 34:46in their salaries aren't exactly price sensitive,
- 34:48right?
- 34:48Exactly,
- 34:49and I think that's,
- 34:50that's a big part of it.
- 34:51There's.
- 34:51Also,
- 34:52you know,
- 34:52it's just a matter of how you see things,
- 34:54right?
- 34:54Like the,
- 34:55the abortion thing,
- 34:56uh,
- 34:57things that went all across the country,
- 34:58there's 10 of them,
- 34:58I think 7 of them passed,
- 35:00and the,
- 35:01uh,
- 35:01Washington Post wrote up a little map to show you where they passed,
- 35:04and that's like a normal journalism thing
- 35:05to do,
- 35:06right?
- 35:06Give you a little visualization.
- 35:08Uh,
- 35:08but the way they phrased it were,
- 35:09this is where protective measures failed and protective measures succeeded.
- 35:15Protective meaning protecting
- 35:17the right to an abortion,
- 35:18right?
- 35:19That,
- 35:19that it was just protective.
- 35:22When
- 35:22that is like how they see the world.
- 35:24When,
- 35:24when,
- 35:24when we say,
- 35:25hey,
- 35:25we've got a problem with crime,
- 35:26we've got a problem with the border,
- 35:27they see that's racism.
- 35:29This is where racism was on the ballot.
- 35:31And,
- 35:31and when you have a vision like that of the country,
- 35:33there's,
- 35:34there's no way.
- 35:34Way to connect with the average person.
- 35:36There absolutely isn't.
- 35:37Go,
- 35:37go to the abortion one,
- 35:38right?
- 35:38Some of the abortion ones that passed,
- 35:40if you would have told me
- 35:42that
- 35:42a,
- 35:43a somewhat liberal state maybe may have passed
- 35:45an abortion thing that said up to viability
- 35:475 years ago,
- 35:48I would have said,
- 35:49great.
- 35:50You know what I mean?
- 35:51Because viability is 26 weeks now,
- 35:53right?
- 35:53Or 20 weeks.
- 35:54Yeah,
- 35:5424 might be pushing 20.
- 35:57So
- 35:57some of the ones that had the protections were actually more restrictive.
- 36:01Than I think
- 36:02the abortion lobby would like,
- 36:04right?
- 36:04And I think that that's where America is.
- 36:06But on the border,
- 36:08Latinos.
- 36:10Latino men
- 36:11overwhelmingly voted for Trump.
- 36:12Latino women
- 36:14also almost voted for Trump.
- 36:16These are the places where Trenda Arragua,
- 36:19the,
- 36:19the,
- 36:19the Venezuelan gang and MS-13,
- 36:21when they leave those
- 36:23cities,
- 36:23they go to their neighborhoods and terrorize them.
- 36:26The,
- 36:26uh,
- 36:26the,
- 36:27the most amazing thing,
- 36:28and I was showing,
- 36:29um,
- 36:30Josh Jennings,
- 36:31who's won a write ad copy for a bunch of people in the network,
- 36:34right?
- 36:34We were talking about it this morning.
- 36:36And I looked at the Hillary Clinton map versus the Donald Trump
- 36:40Kamala map.
- 36:41The entire Rio Grande Valley was blue,
- 36:46bright blue
- 36:48during the Hillary election.
- 36:49Donald Trump won most of those counties.
- 36:51Yeah,
- 36:51I mean,
- 36:52and really like there's a lot of buildup to these shifting demographics.
- 36:56Like we heard so much about them.
- 36:57And,
- 36:58and like at some level,
- 36:59the,
- 36:59the black vote
- 37:00didn't change as much as maybe we thought.
- 37:02But the younger vote and the Hispanic vote especially was,
- 37:05was,
- 37:05I mean,
- 37:06levels that were shocking,
- 37:07I think,
- 37:07to anybody.
- 37:08Go back to,
- 37:08you know,
- 37:092000,
- 37:101996,
- 37:111992,
- 37:12they would have been like,
- 37:12wait,
- 37:13what percentage did you get?
- 37:14Only George Bush was ever even competitive to what Trump did.
- 37:16The exit polling
- 37:18keeps getting updated,
- 37:18right?
- 37:19So
- 37:19the first round of exit polling before they calculated everything
- 37:22showed that um
- 37:24that Kamala Harris won
- 37:25repeat voters by 2%
- 37:27and that Donald Trump won new voters
- 37:29by.
- 37:309% or 7%.
- 37:32That's actually changed now.
- 37:34Donald Trump won repeat voters by 2%.
- 37:37Donald Trump won first-time voters that were 8% of the population
- 37:41by 13%,
- 37:43according to the recent update
- 37:45of the CNN exit polls.
- 37:46And it's the same exit poll.
- 37:47I think they all have the same exit poll.
- 37:49Just branded themselves as just one big exit poll now.
- 37:51They all kind of pay for kind of pay for part of it.
- 37:53And.
- 37:54What's interesting with that is it goes to show you,
- 37:57and this gets into the media,
- 37:58right?
- 37:59Barron Trump's a genius.
- 38:01Barron Trump told his dad and told his dad's campaign,
- 38:04you need to go on Theo Vaughn,
- 38:05you need to go on Logan Paul,
- 38:07you need to go on Joe Rogan,
- 38:09you need to go on all the.
- 38:10These podcasts
- 38:11that my generation listens to
- 38:14because
- 38:15they're somewhat conservative.
- 38:16You saw that with the Tony Hinchcliffe thing
- 38:18that they thought was gonna be a,
- 38:19a big thing.
- 38:20And I was like,
- 38:21Tony Hinchcliffe telling people
- 38:232.5 million
- 38:24views an episode.
- 38:26Right?
- 38:262.5 million views of an episode of The Kill Tony.
- 38:29You know,
- 38:30open mic podcast
- 38:32every week,
- 38:33right,
- 38:34and,
- 38:34and there's something key about that too,
- 38:35because like
- 38:36they made such a big deal about that and they tried to say,
- 38:38oh well,
- 38:39Puerto Ricans are gonna vote against him because first of all he's a roast comedian.
- 38:42It's,
- 38:42it's,
- 38:42it's that's how you're supposed to do things.
- 38:44But the other part about this,
- 38:45and I've seen this happen throughout my life working with Glenn.
- 38:49When people do that to you,
- 38:51your audience gets pissed.
- 38:53Like that,
- 38:53those 2.5 million people who saw them
- 38:56try to destroy Tony Hinchcliffe over a joke,
- 38:59they were more motivated to go vote for Trump.
- 39:03That pushback is real
- 39:05because when you feel like your guy is being victimized,
- 39:08you're more likely to go out
- 39:09and vote for him.
- 39:10I think that may have had a factor.
- 39:11I think the way they tried to victimize.
- 39:13Him,
- 39:13I don't know how many votes it moved,
- 39:14but I bet there were some.
- 39:15Yeah,
- 39:16it's the Malcolm Gladwell book Tribes,
- 39:17right?
- 39:18You,
- 39:18you have your own tribe,
- 39:19your tribe will defend you to the death,
- 39:22and that's what happened.
- 39:23But you also look
- 39:24at Osceola County in Florida,
- 39:26which is over 50% Latino,
- 39:28the majority Puerto Rican voted for Donald Trump for that county
- 39:33voted for the Republican for the first time in forever.
- 39:36They voted for Donald Trump.
- 39:37Because
- 39:38the Puerto Ricans that left,
- 39:39many of whom I met when I went
- 39:41after the hurri one of the hurricanes,
- 39:43um,
- 39:44in Florida to the Disney World area
- 39:46and stayed at a hotel,
- 39:47those people left Puerto Rico because
- 39:49it doesn't function.
- 39:52There's a,
- 39:52there's actually a trash problem and has been for 4 years.
- 39:55They can't put.
- 39:55The trash anywhere because the EPA won't let them.
- 39:59So those Puerto Ricans know
- 40:01that what Tony Hinchcliffe said was the truth,
- 40:04right?
- 40:04So it wasn't calling them the individual people garbage.
- 40:07It was making fun of the system.
- 40:09And the other thing is Donald Trump did the
- 40:11biggest podcast at the end of the election,
- 40:13right?
- 40:14The other thing that's interesting is,
- 40:16of the people that made up their mind before September,
- 40:1850% voted for Donald Trump.
- 40:20Of the people that made up their mind in September and October,
- 40:24most of October,
- 40:25overwhelmingly for Harris.
- 40:26Of the people that made up their mind in the last two weeks,
- 40:29it was a landslide for Donald Trump.
- 40:32At the time that the media was saying everything Donald Trump was doing that seemed.
- 40:36Crazy
- 40:37was going to cost him the election.
- 40:39They don't understand normal
- 40:42people in normal America.
- 40:44Let me give you one more because we'll get one minute for this,
- 40:47but,
- 40:47uh,
- 40:48if I were to define the Rob Eno tribe,
- 40:50I would say hates Brian Stelter would be basically how I would find it.
- 40:54However,
- 40:54you tweeted this.
- 40:55I thought it was interesting.
- 40:56You said,
- 40:56I give Brian Stelter a lot of crap.
- 40:58And have for years.
- 40:59But if this is a truly sincere effort to turn the page and self-reflect,
- 41:02let's do it.
- 41:03This is worlds different from his tone in 2016,
- 41:06the day after the election.
- 41:07You cite his newsletter,
- 41:08where it does seem like he's trying to at least put an
- 41:11effort in to understand how this could happen in a world.
- 41:14I can't imagine what this must have looked like in his world.
- 41:16Is this a real effort?
- 41:17Will the media actually do any self-reflection here?
- 41:19Um,
- 41:20I think it lasted a day with Brian,
- 41:22but,
- 41:22um,
- 41:23but no,
- 41:23he,
- 41:23he was,
- 41:24he was trying to say that we have
- 41:25to understand where people are getting their information,
- 41:28right?
- 41:29He,
- 41:29he,
- 41:29before the election kept doing a bunch of these things like he would go,
- 41:33oh,
- 41:33you know,
- 41:33Donald Trump got this,
- 41:35but then Kamala went on.
- 41:38Saturday Night Live,
- 41:38which has a huge audience,
- 41:40and the huge audience was like 5.7 million people
- 41:43for the first episode of the season,
- 41:44which goes off as the season goes on.
- 41:46And,
- 41:47and I had responded to Brian.
- 41:49Joe Rogan has 41 million views.
- 41:52Of the Donald Trump podcast that was 3 hours,
- 41:56and if you listen to it,
- 41:58anyone that said that Donald Trump doesn't have his mental faculties straight
- 42:02and watched that 3 hour interview.
- 42:06would be enraged at the media for telling them
- 42:08that Donald Trump doesn't have his faculties straight,
- 42:10right?
- 42:11Absolutely,
- 42:12utterly enraged at the media,
- 42:13and that's
