- 1:57Speaker 3: this episode and you know we love wit and so
- 2:00Speaker 3: sitting there watch and then we're giving a I think
- 2:02Speaker 3: it was a Garrett Meyer take and then Tatane Landra

- 2:24Speaker 7: Great line from tATu and it went straight into like
- 2:28Speaker 7: you said, like a hype and that was awesome.
- 2:31Speaker 2: I thought it was well done.
- 2:34Speaker 8: Thanks, not that I watched it, but it happened twice.
- 2:40Speaker 3: He did at the at the end after that, Yeah,
- 2:43Speaker 3: at the end, what we were talking about, same thing.
- 2:46Speaker 2: Coming back?
- 2:47Speaker 8: Yeah, it with him coming back like they had mad. Yeah,
- 2:50Speaker 8: I heard.
- 2:51Speaker 2: Hunt, heard, I heard Hunt. I heard Matt Well.
- 2:54Speaker 9: The cool thing about they used his voice over a
- 2:57Speaker 9: lot at the beginning because they took him from pre game,
- 2:59Speaker 9: Like you could tell the was football.
- 3:01Speaker 7: I watched the first episode, so I didn't make it
- 3:04Speaker 7: to the one where we I didn't.
- 3:05Speaker 2: Watch that, and I just went to when somebody told.
- 3:06Speaker 7: Me good episode, Danielle our Hr, she texted me too,
- 3:11Speaker 7: and then you texted us that like right after, so
- 3:14Speaker 7: I guess everybody was watching it at the same time.
- 3:16Speaker 7: But you were in it from the call, like because
- 3:20Speaker 7: they were putting Chris Blair in it to so like
- 3:23Speaker 7: you doing color was in it.
- 3:24Speaker 2: Also more O TV.
- 3:28Speaker 10: Was in O TV was what a win for the
- 3:31Speaker 10: seventh ranks?
- 3:32Speaker 3: That's right, Market Morning. I didn't hear although I didn't
- 3:41Speaker 3: watch Cole and Greg.
- 3:43Speaker 10: I didn't either, and hear them.
- 3:44Speaker 2: There are those fellas in there.
- 3:45Speaker 7: I have it on like in the background and maybe
- 3:48Speaker 7: the Victoria They're like, this is making the cunt floor.
- 3:55Speaker 9: Because you pop up right before me and Victoria season
- 3:57Speaker 9: she goes win was that? And I backed it up
- 3:59Speaker 9: and Paul that I was like Christmas backgrounds.
- 4:01Speaker 5: On the TV.
- 4:02Speaker 3: That's how I knew it too. Yeah, you had the
- 4:04Speaker 3: OTB snowflakes in the background.
- 4:07Speaker 7: Like begging me to do Christmas opens. Yeah, it seem
- 4:11Speaker 7: like I was a gridge. Yeah, yeah, not t Bob Bob,
- 4:19Speaker 7: not the one that starts all the rumors about me.
- 4:26Speaker 2: Very cool though, very cool for the show, very cool
- 4:28Speaker 2: for the station.
- 4:29Speaker 5: So you but you didn't watch the show, you didn't
- 4:31Speaker 5: watched the documentary.
- 4:32Speaker 2: Yet, just episode four.
- 4:33Speaker 5: So is this the one that they previews? Yeah, we rised, oh.
- 4:38Speaker 3: Yeah, but we got big boyed by the producer. He
- 4:41Speaker 3: was supposed to come onto the.
- 4:42Speaker 6: Show that I think the night one of SEC Media.
- 4:45Speaker 6: They were previewing episode one and they're like, y'all should come.
- 4:48Speaker 6: It's at seven to eight pm. This episode is very
- 4:51Speaker 6: LSU heavy, and so we were like, all right, we'll
- 4:54Speaker 6: do it. We'll go well, like the end of day
- 4:56Speaker 6: one at seven pm, it felt like it had in
- 5:00Speaker 6: ninety hours already, and it was like, we're hungry. We
- 5:02Speaker 6: haven't eaten any food. They haven't fed us.
- 5:04Speaker 2: There's no.
- 5:07Speaker 5: Beers deleted. I were like, we're gonna go get some food.
- 5:11Speaker 2: Yeah we did.
- 5:11Speaker 5: So we missed out.
- 5:13Speaker 3: And then the next day we were supposed to have
- 5:15Speaker 3: the creator, the producer executive producer on the show, and
- 5:20Speaker 3: he returned the face. He returned the favorite, but he
- 5:22Speaker 3: wasn't angry like we were. So I don't know what
- 5:24Speaker 3: his excuse was it was early in the morning.
- 5:26Speaker 5: He had no excuse that that day was rough. Though.
- 5:29Speaker 6: That's when like, that's when Taylor texted us after the
- 5:32Speaker 6: show and they're like, hey, y'all need to like have
- 5:33Speaker 6: a guest on y'all.
- 5:37Speaker 2: Does well that day? To be fair to everybody in
- 5:40Speaker 2: that room.
- 5:42Speaker 3: I've done SEC media days, I think fully every year
- 5:48Speaker 3: since twenty nineteen, but even in seventeen and eighteen, I
- 5:51Speaker 3: went and did a day or two. I have never
- 5:54Speaker 3: seen a room that dead at an SEC Media day.
- 5:57Speaker 2: And it was like Tuesday, it was like the biggest.
- 6:00Speaker 2: It was big teams.
- 6:01Speaker 3: It was like Texas and Georgia and like some of
- 6:03Speaker 3: these massive teams, and man, there wasn't a soul up
- 6:07Speaker 3: there when we were doing morning radio.
- 6:09Speaker 2: Not a team, not a coach, not anybody.
- 6:11Speaker 10: Interesting, and you're an hour an hour.
- 6:14Speaker 2: It was it was wild and I was like, is
- 6:17Speaker 2: it just us?
- 6:17Speaker 3: And then everybody that you talked to that day they
- 6:19Speaker 3: were like, man, that was brutal.
- 6:21Speaker 5: There was every everybody but Cole.
- 6:24Speaker 2: Yeah. I made Cole on Netflix.
- 6:27Speaker 5: Though Cole was.
- 6:29Speaker 2: Raking yeah for for a two man show.
- 6:33Speaker 3: Was working a lot of a lot of so Cole
- 6:36Speaker 3: would go up there and he would just he like
- 6:38Speaker 3: record a ton just by, like for his show. He's
- 6:41Speaker 3: got a podcast, and like he would just grab like
- 6:44Speaker 3: if me and Matt were sitting there after our show,
- 6:47Speaker 3: like he was gonna grab one of us and like, hey,
- 6:49Speaker 3: you got seven minutes for me.
- 6:50Speaker 5: And it wasn't seven minutes. He grabbed you for about
- 6:52Speaker 5: a thirty minute interview.
- 6:54Speaker 2: It was forty two, was it.
- 6:55Speaker 6: Yeah, he I came on there for like the last
- 6:57Speaker 6: twelve thirteen. Yeah, a grinder man grind he was. I
- 7:02Speaker 6: think he launched two or three new shows or your channels.
- 7:06Speaker 2: He did. He he was trying to figure it out.
- 7:09Speaker 6: A man has about seventy five media gigs. He sideline reports,
- 7:13Speaker 6: and we've recently found out he's also oh yeah, he
- 7:16Speaker 6: just does live breaks of sports cards.
- 7:18Speaker 3: Yeah, like he's like fanatics is the worst that breaks
- 7:21Speaker 3: the cards on fanatics live, Like telling you to bid, Yeah,
- 7:25Speaker 3: telling you get in with that a dollar, get in
- 7:29Speaker 3: all day, all day.
- 7:30Speaker 2: That's cold. Yeah, you think he owes the mob money.
- 7:34Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 7:36Speaker 2: He might just asking the questions.
- 7:40Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 7:40Speaker 6: He might be like a Bradley Deal Peveto type. He
- 7:43Speaker 6: only gets two to three hours sleep a day and
- 7:47Speaker 6: needs to be doing something. Yeah, because he's got that
- 7:49Speaker 6: much energy.
- 7:50Speaker 5: I mean it felt like that.
- 7:52Speaker 2: Yeah. AnyWho Oh, Bradley dough shout out brother though.
- 7:56Speaker 5: Shout out to TV.
- 7:58Speaker 7: What you speak volumes about the entire show, because I
- 8:04Speaker 7: didn't see any other producers on.
- 8:05Speaker 2: There to say, let's go. I didn't see Bob on
- 8:10Speaker 2: there either, barstool.
- 8:14Speaker 9: Now they have, They couldn't, They could afford to have
- 8:18Speaker 9: him on anymore.
- 8:19Speaker 5: You know, there might be actually something to do that let's.
- 8:21Speaker 10: Cut the trader.
- 8:23Speaker 5: They would have had to go, They would have had
- 8:27Speaker 5: to get permission from Guarantee to put those voices in
- 8:31Speaker 5: like likeness.
- 8:33Speaker 3: Yeah, but but Bob. Any content that Bob had here
- 8:36Speaker 3: is still Guarantees. That's not barstools.
- 8:39Speaker 7: Uh.
- 8:39Speaker 3: If anybody in here can tell me where Bradley Dale
- 8:44Speaker 3: Pivoto is currently coaching coffee on me or energy drink
- 8:49Speaker 3: for ta.
- 8:50Speaker 5: Okay, I don't know it.
- 8:52Speaker 10: NFL or college college.
- 8:55Speaker 2: Bradley Dale's vibe do you work in the NFL?
- 9:00Speaker 3: Those thirty two years have been like hey, hey, hey, hey,
- 9:02Speaker 3: my guy, you gotta settled down all right?
- 9:04Speaker 5: No idea, I have three guesses.
- 9:06Speaker 3: I mean, Jesus, you want a lifeline as well, because
- 9:09Speaker 3: it could be all over the place.
- 9:10Speaker 6: Okay, I could see him at a top tier person.
- 9:13Speaker 6: I'm gonna say Texas A and m Sam, Houston State,
- 9:17Speaker 6: Mary Hard and Baylor.
- 9:18Speaker 3: Okay, no, but you're you're in the right world. You're close.
- 9:27Speaker 3: No state, Texas State.
- 9:31Speaker 8: Why did we booty?
- 9:33Speaker 2: Well done?
- 9:35Speaker 5: Friends, That's why they're on Netflix. That's it right right there.
- 9:39Speaker 8: That was That was weird.
- 9:41Speaker 5: It was weird.
- 9:41Speaker 3: They were looking at me, not each other. That was weird.
- 9:44Speaker 3: Y'all are becoming one.
- 9:46Speaker 8: We texted each other. We were like, hey on.
- 9:48Speaker 3: Three Pivoto coffee on me, well done, well done.
- 9:53Speaker 5: Hey, I was pretty close. Shout out of the door.
- 9:55Speaker 2: You mean you got it?
- 9:58Speaker 6: Guided you what a team effort you got them there? Wait,
- 10:01Speaker 6: credit to myself on that one.
- 10:08Speaker 2: Guys, a great job we all got there.
- 10:10Speaker 7: But credit to me thought we all share a single
- 10:13Speaker 7: brain cell.
- 10:14Speaker 2: We are well that's all we got left.
- 10:18Speaker 5: Uh.
- 10:18Speaker 3: But watching that last night, all jokes aside, it was
- 10:21Speaker 3: very cool to see the team in there, very very
- 10:24Speaker 3: proud of our producers. They deserve to be on there.
- 10:26Speaker 3: But it got me, It got me fired up. It
- 10:28Speaker 3: got me like even more so ready like for football
- 10:31Speaker 3: season because I'm sitting there and they were highlighting the
- 10:35Speaker 3: the Alabama and the A and M game, and Katie's like,
- 10:37Speaker 3: are you getting mad all over again?
- 10:40Speaker 5: Yep?
- 10:40Speaker 2: I said, yes, I am. I was like, man, they
- 10:43Speaker 2: were they were.
- 10:43Speaker 3: They were so good last year, like they had some
- 10:45Speaker 3: big like going to South Carolina and finding a way
- 10:49Speaker 3: to win that game and beating Old Miss in overtime
- 10:51Speaker 3: when really you didn't control any narrative in that game
- 10:55Speaker 3: until you needed to, like your first lead was in overtime.
- 10:59Speaker 2: I'm sitting there like and they were.
- 11:01Speaker 3: Now you could say, okay, well they were a couple
- 11:02Speaker 3: of plays away from losing those games too. I get that,
- 11:05Speaker 3: but that's what a season is. And they found a
- 11:07Speaker 3: way to win. I'm like, if they win that.
- 11:09Speaker 2: A and M game, what's it? What's it ended up being?
- 11:13Speaker 2: You're going to well covering covering that game?
- 11:16Speaker 3: Why so going from the booth, I'm going to go
- 11:21Speaker 3: find some coffee. By the way, they had no coffee
- 11:23Speaker 3: in the Texas A and M press box, which I
- 11:25Speaker 3: thought was wild.
- 11:28Speaker 8: A team.
- 11:28Speaker 2: Well, so listen, they had like.
- 11:31Speaker 3: A coffee mate, Like I went and I'm like, I'm
- 11:33Speaker 3: opening up like all the kitchen, the little area that
- 11:37Speaker 3: they got because I'm like, I'm not trying to be mean,
- 11:38Speaker 3: but I need coffee during this call. So like they
- 11:41Speaker 3: had like a coffee mate underneath this this sink, and
- 11:44Speaker 3: so I grabbed that thing.
- 11:45Speaker 2: I go find a filter and I'm making some coffee.
- 11:47Speaker 3: And as I'm sitting there, like all the textags, guys
- 11:50Speaker 3: come up to me and they're like, well, looks like
- 11:52Speaker 3: you're going to go get another SEC championship.
- 11:54Speaker 2: Well it looks like Smeyer might be in New York.
- 11:56Speaker 2: I mean they are.
- 11:57Speaker 3: They're doing this game over, and I'm kind of like,
- 12:01Speaker 3: I'm letting myself allow the thought process of the game
- 12:04Speaker 3: being over.
- 12:05Speaker 2: And it wasn't the press.
- 12:09Speaker 3: It's over, I mean just the wave of change at
- 12:13Speaker 3: halftime in that game. And if you win that one,
- 12:16Speaker 3: look you end up losing Alabama too in Florida. Like
- 12:19Speaker 3: I know all that, but at the time, if you
- 12:22Speaker 3: win that game, what does your season look like?
- 12:26Speaker 7: So the first episode they focused on the South Carolina
- 12:30Speaker 7: LSU games. They followed l s U and South Carolina,
- 12:33Speaker 7: and South Carolina fully thought that they.
- 12:37Speaker 8: Were going to win that game too.
- 12:38Speaker 7: And like seventeen zero at home, like in the second quarter,
- 12:43Speaker 7: that's crazy, great, great venue by the Yeah, and I
- 12:45Speaker 7: was gonna I always liked him, but Chane Beamer is
- 12:48Speaker 7: just very likely.
- 12:51Speaker 9: That was a better episode than four watched one episode.
- 12:54Speaker 9: One's the best episode. That was really in the.
- 12:59Speaker 7: Second it was like about Graham Mertz and then when
- 13:02Speaker 7: he gets hurt and yeah, I did too, started.
- 13:06Speaker 3: On us on Floridas like I'm the only Gator that
- 13:08Speaker 3: I'm like, I just say for doing yeah for anybody else.
- 13:12Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 13:13Speaker 6: The L s U, A and M game was also
- 13:18Speaker 6: made my evening terrible last fall because I was at
- 13:21Speaker 6: a Taylor Swift concert at the time and I was
- 13:25Speaker 6: watching it. I was gonna say if you if you
- 13:27Speaker 6: missed the It was one of these things that I
- 13:30Speaker 6: committed to. I thought it was gonna be a day game.
- 13:31Speaker 6: I committed to like a couple of months before my
- 13:33Speaker 6: wife and I went.
- 13:35Speaker 2: An M and L s U. It was going to
- 13:37Speaker 2: be a day game.
- 13:38Speaker 6: It was two years ago. I thought there was at
- 13:41Speaker 6: the very end of the season. Anyway, I didn't know
- 13:43Speaker 6: that it was going to be like all the.
- 13:46Speaker 5: Okay, okay, so I go and so I wanted I.
- 13:48Speaker 6: Wanted to have the experience. Everybody's been talking about it.
- 13:51Speaker 6: Why not, why not go? So we go and I'm
- 13:54Speaker 6: sitting there. We got really good seats, and all these
- 13:57Speaker 6: people are screaming I can't have money. So like I'm
- 14:01Speaker 6: sitting there and the entire time I'm sitting there watching
- 14:04Speaker 6: the game on my iPhone, I'm not even watching the concert.
- 14:06Speaker 6: Like I'm completely a waste of a ticket. It was
- 14:10Speaker 6: a disrespect to all these swifties out there. And I
- 14:13Speaker 6: get it, It's fine, and I was just watching. I
- 14:15Speaker 6: was I was having a good time because I'd be
- 14:17Speaker 6: watching a touchdown it was shut were winning, blah blah blah.
- 14:19Speaker 6: You know, I'd get I'd shake it off. Whatever ruined
- 14:23Speaker 6: my whole night. I like left the concert. I went down.
- 14:26Speaker 6: I just like sat there by myself and I just
- 14:28Speaker 6: you know, had deleted a couple of beers down there.
- 14:31Speaker 6: I heard the music in the background. It was a
- 14:34Speaker 6: waste of a waste of a ticket because I felt bad.
- 14:39Speaker 2: Angry, such a weird game.
- 14:41Speaker 3: And me and c Be are sitting there calling We're
- 14:44Speaker 3: just looking like as it's unfolding, like looking at each other,
- 14:48Speaker 3: like you know, mouth.
- 14:48Speaker 7: And like yeah for some reason. I don't remember why,
- 14:53Speaker 7: but I was out the Monday following the Texas.
- 14:57Speaker 10: A and M game and then.
- 14:58Speaker 9: I to celebrating with her Texas folks.
- 15:02Speaker 10: I came back and t BO was like, Bop was like,
- 15:08Speaker 10: do you want to talk about.
- 15:09Speaker 7: The Texas A and M gown Like absolutely not.
- 15:11Speaker 10: I don't want to talk about it.
- 15:13Speaker 7: Like it was so painful, probably the worst loss of
- 15:15Speaker 7: the season to me, because of how you felt the
- 15:18Speaker 7: first half and then how you felt the second half,
- 15:21Speaker 7: and then just to lose to the Agus is never good.
- 15:25Speaker 3: I don't like them. No staytaste people. And on that note,
- 15:29Speaker 3: we'll take a break. Here, got a lot to get
- 15:32Speaker 3: to LSU camp, Saints camp, and the NFL banned something
- 15:37Speaker 3: that I find ridiculous, and we'll talk about that when
- 15:40Speaker 3: we come back as well. Here on no TV off

- 17:36Speaker 11: to see the lots of faded and that he in
- 17:40Speaker 11: his own raider.
- 17:42Speaker 2: And town man, did you pompon Students.
- 17:46Speaker 3: One part all right, Welcome Back Again, O TV one,
- 17:49Speaker 3: O four five ESPN Henry Uh the NFL has bands
- 17:56Speaker 3: smelling salts boo. I am not very happy about it.
- 18:02Speaker 3: When I played, it was part of the pregame ritual.
- 18:05Speaker 3: You'd crack one, three, maybe four or five, put them
- 18:10Speaker 3: in a bottle, shake it up, take a hit, flip
- 18:13Speaker 3: the switch. It didn't really matter what was sore. It
- 18:17Speaker 3: didn't really matter what was hurting. Smelling salt was always
- 18:20Speaker 3: going to be the remedy for whatever you needed.
- 18:24Speaker 5: It was a cure for a lot of things.
- 18:26Speaker 2: A lot of things.
- 18:27Speaker 3: It was, like I say it all the time, mean, nasty, tough,
- 18:31Speaker 3: locked in and that was thanks to the smelling salt. Look,
- 18:36Speaker 3: they're not performance enhancers, their mindset enhancers. They got you
- 18:42Speaker 3: juiced and ready to go. How many pictures do we
- 18:46Speaker 3: see of your favorite athletes hitting AsSalt?
- 18:50Speaker 6: Lots a lot. And it's not just a pregame ritual.
- 18:54Speaker 6: I mean during game a lot of people say it's
- 18:57Speaker 6: a pre every dry thing. George Kittle, he did it
- 19:03Speaker 6: before every single drive he went out on the field of.
- 19:05Speaker 2: That guy, and now they're banned. Why optics?
- 19:11Speaker 6: We gotta think on this one. You gotta look a
- 19:13Speaker 6: little deeper. You gotta blame the FDA on this one.
- 19:15Speaker 2: No NFL, Yeah, NFL.
- 19:19Speaker 3: Oh another player safety, Yeah, y'all really care about that.
- 19:24Speaker 2: We're not talking about steroids.
- 19:26Speaker 3: We're not talking about tortle, which got one of those
- 19:29Speaker 3: before every game.
- 19:30Speaker 2: They didn't really care about that.
- 19:32Speaker 3: We're just talking about a little smelling salt. Just another
- 19:37Speaker 3: piece of the game that I know, the game that
- 19:39Speaker 3: I love, the identity of that game being taken away
- 19:42Speaker 3: by the NFL.
- 19:45Speaker 2: Sad.
- 19:49Speaker 3: In fact, in twenty nineteen the LSU run, any person
- 19:55Speaker 3: that was on the travel trip for LSU probably had
- 19:58Speaker 3: three or four salts in their I ain't talking about
- 20:01Speaker 3: players only, I'm talking about everybody. I was a driving
- 20:05Speaker 3: force behind the greatest college football team of all time.
- 20:09Speaker 3: Sure they had Burrow and Chase and Jefferson and Clyde
- 20:13Speaker 3: and Derek Stingley and Grant Delpit and Patrick Queen, But
- 20:17Speaker 3: it was really the smelling salts.
- 20:22Speaker 5: NFL the late great Kevin green.
- 20:30Speaker 6: Kevin greens Man, who was are fortunate enough to spend
- 20:35Speaker 6: a couple of years with him.
- 20:36Speaker 5: He was linebacker coach in Green Bay.
- 20:38Speaker 2: Oh was he really?
- 20:40Speaker 6: When I was there in thirteen and fourteen. I can't
- 20:42Speaker 6: I don't know if he book ended that any more years.
- 20:45Speaker 6: But he would constantly and consistently carry a cup yep.
- 20:51Speaker 6: It was a gatorad cup, little green wax ones, and
- 20:55Speaker 6: it had probably ten to fifteen of them in there
- 20:57Speaker 6: at all times. And you would just see him on
- 21:01Speaker 6: the sideline and you could just watch him from a
- 21:04Speaker 6: distance and you could just see him coaching and just
- 21:11Speaker 6: living and he would walk up and.
- 21:12Speaker 5: He'd be like, you want to hit this?
- 21:14Speaker 2: And he would absolutely do you have to ask?
- 21:17Speaker 6: And I'll never forget that because it was amazing and
- 21:20Speaker 6: everybody benefited from it from a mentality standpoint. I mean,
- 21:24Speaker 6: you are about to run full speed into another gentleman
- 21:28Speaker 6: who was very big and strong and fast, and he's
- 21:30Speaker 6: going to be running full speed, you know. Every now
- 21:33Speaker 6: and then you got a sniff a little vinegar and
- 21:37Speaker 6: it's okay. They wearing salt. We call him smelling salts ammonia.
- 21:41Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, what it is?
- 21:43Speaker 6: How else do you think Billy Bob woke up from
- 21:45Speaker 6: when he got concussed Smelling salt?
- 21:48Speaker 5: Smelling salts. It's an institution, it's a tradition and they
- 21:55Speaker 5: have stripped it from US.
- 21:57Speaker 6: I hope the NCAA does not follow. I'm trying to
- 22:00Speaker 6: figure out why, And of course it comes down.
- 22:02Speaker 5: To the FDA.
- 22:04Speaker 2: What the FDA do.
- 22:05Speaker 6: The FDA has stated that there is a lack of
- 22:07Speaker 6: evidence supporting the safety and efficacy of ammonia inhalence parentheses
- 22:11Speaker 6: smelling salts when marketed for purposes like improving mental alertness
- 22:15Speaker 6: or boosting energy. These products are considered unapproved drugs when used.
- 22:21Speaker 5: For these purposes.
- 22:25Speaker 6: Positive potential, negative health effects potential well no, but coughing,
- 22:31Speaker 6: airway constriction, I knows, and throat irritation.
- 22:36Speaker 8: He said, there's a lack of.
- 22:39Speaker 3: Right.
- 22:40Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 22:40Speaker 6: Also hitting your head against another man, there's possible. Yeah,
- 22:45Speaker 6: there's possible health effects to that. I think we all
- 22:48Speaker 6: know it, and we make a decision.
- 22:51Speaker 9: If you say there's no evidence that this helps you,
- 22:55Speaker 9: wouldn't there be no evidence that it hurts you either?
- 22:58Speaker 5: Would that what.
- 23:00Speaker 6: They're saying, we don't know if I don't know or
- 23:04Speaker 6: hurt you.
- 23:04Speaker 5: We just don't like it. Yeah, we got it. We
- 23:06Speaker 5: have an idea.
- 23:06Speaker 10: Stay hot, typical government over each typical.
- 23:13Speaker 6: I'm okay if you come for our artificial dies colors.
- 23:16Speaker 2: Yeah, take the red skill away. Okay, yeah, I still
- 23:20Speaker 2: got the purple like.
- 23:23Speaker 5: You could take things and it's great. I get it.
- 23:25Speaker 5: We're trying to improve the health of our youth, the
- 23:28Speaker 5: health of.
- 23:29Speaker 6: Our nation, who's you know, famously around the world a
- 23:31Speaker 6: little bit unhealthy.
- 23:32Speaker 5: We get it.
- 23:34Speaker 6: But smelling salts away from our salts. Stay away, smelling salts.
- 23:41Speaker 3: It's just take it, yeah, George Kittles, smelling salt.
- 23:47Speaker 2: All they're gonna do is just hit it in the
- 23:49Speaker 2: locker room. I mean, you might ban them.
- 23:52Speaker 3: They're gonna get them, which they're actually hard now to get,
- 23:54Speaker 3: but they're gonna get some off Amazon and they're gonna
- 23:56Speaker 3: tape up a water bottle so you can't see what's
- 23:59Speaker 3: in there, and they're going to put a bunch in
- 24:01Speaker 3: there and they're just gonna.
- 24:02Speaker 9: Hit it in the locker room, or do liquid ammonia,
- 24:04Speaker 9: which yeah, that's put it in the bottle because like
- 24:06Speaker 9: when I was in high school, we do the smell insalts,
- 24:08Speaker 9: but we had the liquid ammonia work.
- 24:10Speaker 6: They're gonna find a way around it. Like NFL football
- 24:14Speaker 6: players that have like they're they're there for, they have
- 24:16Speaker 6: to perform, so if they believe something helps their performance.
- 24:19Speaker 6: They will pay fines whatever it is to still maintain
- 24:23Speaker 6: that performance. Like if they have if wearing a certain
- 24:26Speaker 6: cleat or a sock or a wristband that has not
- 24:29Speaker 6: approved apparel for the NFL, but it makes them feel
- 24:34Speaker 6: better than they think they play better, they will take
- 24:36Speaker 6: the fine.
- 24:37Speaker 5: Yeah all day.
- 24:38Speaker 3: I think I think it was our guy Chipper Jones
- 24:41Speaker 3: that if in Major League Baseball, if you got caught
- 24:46Speaker 3: with a dip in your mouth, it was like a
- 24:49Speaker 3: certain fine.
- 24:50Speaker 2: This is at least the legend that I've always heard.
- 24:52Speaker 3: I need to just ask them, you would get a fine,
- 24:56Speaker 3: Like I don't know what the fine was, but you
- 24:58Speaker 3: know baseball players certainly wan dip like that's like a.
- 25:01Speaker 2: Comfort for them.
- 25:02Speaker 3: I don't know that I ever saw Gary Sheffield up
- 25:05Speaker 3: to bat where he didn't have a full can in
- 25:06Speaker 3: his lap.
- 25:07Speaker 2: Sure, it's just you.
- 25:08Speaker 3: Know what he was that Chipper would pay whatever the
- 25:12Speaker 3: fine was, Like he would total one hundred and sixty
- 25:14Speaker 3: two games and just times to fine and give MLB
- 25:18Speaker 3: the check before the season. Yeah, here you go, because
- 25:21Speaker 3: I'm not not going to go out there without a
- 25:23Speaker 3: turk in yep.
- 25:25Speaker 6: And it's a it's a little. It's a it's a
- 25:27Speaker 6: sign of protest as well. We had guys like that too.
- 25:32Speaker 6: We had defensive linemen there, like I'm not going to
- 25:33Speaker 6: make weight.
- 25:34Speaker 5: Here is.
- 25:36Speaker 6: Twenty or thirty thousand dollars check at the beginning of
- 25:38Speaker 6: the year. Yep, I'm not making it, so don't waigh
- 25:41Speaker 6: me in. Yeah, because if you're underweight.
- 25:44Speaker 2: Too, that's a fine found that one out told that story.
- 25:47Speaker 2: See he sucks, all.
- 25:49Speaker 3: Right, so sorry, we'll get to the training game stuff.
- 25:51Speaker 3: But that came across the wire. And there was not
- 25:54Speaker 3: a game that I played in from high school all
- 25:56Speaker 3: the way until twenty fourteen where I did not hit
- 25:59Speaker 3: a smell salt before a game. There was a couple
- 26:02Speaker 3: of years covering football that I didn't hit a smelling
- 26:04Speaker 3: salt before I went on air.
- 26:06Speaker 2: Yeah all right. It was a part of who I was.
- 26:08Speaker 2: And now they're the NFL is taking them away from the.
- 26:11Speaker 6: Especially when in the NFL most of the games are
- 26:13Speaker 6: played at noon.
- 26:15Speaker 3: Yeah, like, yeah, we didn't come from the Big ten
- 26:18Speaker 3: yet ready to play at noon.
- 26:20Speaker 5: Like for night games, okay, yeah, you need a little
- 26:22Speaker 5: bit less as a quarterback. I didn't do them a
- 26:25Speaker 5: whole lot.
- 26:26Speaker 6: I didn't do the smelling salts a lot because that
- 26:31Speaker 6: position you just can't get like two hyped up makes
- 26:36Speaker 6: I remember like.
- 26:36Speaker 5: Listening like when I was in high school, I learned
- 26:38Speaker 5: that lesson I was.
- 26:39Speaker 6: I was listening to like hardcore music, like the same
- 26:42Speaker 6: music that the linebackers alignment, and I was like, ah,
- 26:44Speaker 6: I was like so fired up. Well I overthrew like
- 26:46Speaker 6: my first five passes of the game. Yeah, I was
- 26:50Speaker 6: just too hyped, right, So I didn't do the smelling
- 26:52Speaker 6: salts too much. But I understand if I'm playing fullback, yeah,
- 26:57Speaker 6: gotta go hit t Kio spikes right, try.
- 27:00Speaker 2: Right, yeah.
- 27:02Speaker 3: Or if you're an R five on kickoff and it's
- 27:05Speaker 3: before NFL changed the rules and there can be four
- 27:08Speaker 3: offensive linemen in the wedge, I need.
- 27:10Speaker 5: As salt and give me your cup.
- 27:16Speaker 2: All right, Uh, we'll step away.
- 27:18Speaker 3: When we come back, we'll get into some storylines from
- 27:21Speaker 3: LSU training camp, and we'll do it right here on
- 27:23Speaker 3: O TV. Off the bench, all right, go to go,
- 27:28Speaker 3: Tommy's g e a ux, Tommy's with a y dot com.

- 28:50Speaker 5: Take it easy, a laundred gee.
- 28:51Speaker 2: Yeah, please save something for the rest of the Wow.
- 28:56Speaker 7: If we want to keep getting on Netflix, that's sure
- 29:00Speaker 7: we got to bring it.
- 29:03Speaker 2: I mean, do you even see w not if you
- 29:08Speaker 2: don't know this one, Let's go gab Nathan Scott.
- 29:14Speaker 5: Gaving a Girl is still playing randomly at just beaches.
- 29:17Speaker 7: He does, he does, Wait, this is like a perfect
- 29:21Speaker 7: beach artist.
- 29:24Speaker 3: I don't know if Flynn knows this. I've told this
- 29:26Speaker 3: story on the air before we were in the Payinghanda
- 29:30Speaker 3: for his Pensacole of Panama City when I was in
- 29:32Speaker 3: high school, and this before Gavin de Graul was was big.
- 29:37Speaker 3: I think he made it pretty close. After that, there
- 29:40Speaker 3: was this guy who had an acoustic guitar was playing
- 29:42Speaker 3: on the beach and as you can imagine, he was popular.
- 29:47Speaker 3: Ye say that it was popular on the beach that day.
- 29:49Speaker 3: It was actually like kind of nighttime, we're just walking
- 29:51Speaker 3: the beach. Turns out that was Gavin.
- 29:53Speaker 6: D gral Boom before he got big on the beach.
- 29:58Speaker 3: Me and my boys like when he he made it big,
- 30:00Speaker 3: like we were like, you know how it is like
- 30:02Speaker 3: everybody's like, oh my god, that guy on the beach.
- 30:05Speaker 6: I feel like every three to five years I see
- 30:08Speaker 6: a random social media video a new one of his.
- 30:12Speaker 7: I think, because whenever I think of him in this song,
- 30:15Speaker 7: I think about dudes wearing flip flops with jeans, and.
- 30:18Speaker 10: That just feels like a bad luck. Can I be honest,
- 30:23Speaker 10: do you like it?
- 30:24Speaker 7: I don't hate it as much as a lot of
- 30:26Speaker 7: other people do.
- 30:28Speaker 10: It's it's not great, but there's worse.
- 30:31Speaker 2: Looks I did it in college, for sure.
- 30:32Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean it was. That's the two thousands.
- 30:35Speaker 10: Look, yeah, it's very two thousands, all right.
- 30:39Speaker 5: I guess it's fair. Skinny jeans, I guess might be better.
- 30:43Speaker 10: No, you gotta do it with like a book cut. No,
- 30:45Speaker 10: you gotta do it with like a boot cut or
- 30:47Speaker 10: like a flare jean.
- 30:55Speaker 2: Let's go ahead, get this stick started.
- 31:02Speaker 1: To see them go flow where hydration vitamins and a
- 31:06Speaker 1: summer ready glow are always on SAP.
- 31:09Speaker 7: Now for starters, well, well, well the computer hates me
- 31:16Speaker 7: two days in a row.
- 31:18Speaker 10: You're not gonna get me again.
- 31:20Speaker 2: All that wind straight, George w you We'll see we
- 31:23Speaker 2: can't again. You're not gonna put a cry, all right.
- 31:27Speaker 3: I want to get into something a little bit because
- 31:30Speaker 3: I've seen a bunch of clips and I'm not picking.
- 31:32Speaker 6: On and hold on saying let me let me cut
- 31:34Speaker 6: it before you do that. Can I tell you something.
- 31:36Speaker 6: I went to go flow yesterday because I've been a
- 31:39Speaker 6: little a little bit sick under the weather.
- 31:42Speaker 3: Okay, wait, are you talking about like choking out during
- 31:46Speaker 3: a livery?
- 31:46Speaker 5: Yeah, choking down, darl livery. Did y'all catch that? Heard that?
- 31:52Speaker 5: So I went there.
- 31:53Speaker 6: I was like going, I'm going, I'm going to check
- 31:56Speaker 6: it out. And so I got like the vitamin shot
- 31:59Speaker 6: had like all the fight of the season. The vitamin
- 32:02Speaker 6: like a d shot in the arm. Lac was like
- 32:06Speaker 6: last night, She's like, you got so much energy right now.
- 32:08Speaker 6: I was like, Yep, feel great.
- 32:09Speaker 2: So I want to go flow shout out to go flow.
- 32:12Speaker 6: It was easy too. I was like I was in
- 32:13Speaker 6: and out like thirty minutes. Yeah, signed up, created an
- 32:16Speaker 6: the count, got an IV.
- 32:18Speaker 5: It was awesome.
- 32:18Speaker 3: Maybe throw an extra vitamin or two in there, vitamized
- 32:22Speaker 3: go flow IV dot com Uh again, Uh whot.
- 32:26Speaker 2: If you're here, you can come defend yourself. It's fine.
- 32:28Speaker 2: And it's just a clip that I saw.
- 32:29Speaker 3: But he's not the only one that I've I've seen
- 32:31Speaker 3: this from talking about not being able to run the
- 32:35Speaker 3: football for l s U. And look, the deepensive line
- 32:37Speaker 3: has looked good. The day we went out there, there
- 32:40Speaker 3: was a couple of past rush moves from the interier.
- 32:42Speaker 2: I'm like, all right, that's different.
- 32:43Speaker 3: They didn't have that a year ago, and I just
- 32:46Speaker 3: I think Kyle Williams is going to do a hell
- 32:48Speaker 3: of a job with that group. But y'all know my
- 32:51Speaker 3: pet peeve in the run game, and there's a lot
- 32:55Speaker 3: of people that say this. It's not just who that
- 33:00Speaker 3: just it drives me crazy. It's like, I couldn't run
- 33:03Speaker 3: the ball today. I couldn't do it, couldn't do it.
- 33:05Speaker 3: I'm like, what every day that I've been to practice,
- 33:08Speaker 3: Kayden Durham, are a back has hit a forty to
- 33:10Speaker 3: fifty yard run and they're like, yeah, but outside of that,
- 33:13Speaker 3: there's no outside of that. You can't take that away.
- 33:17Speaker 3: It's not when a quarterback throws for three hundred yards. Yeah,
- 33:20Speaker 3: but if he didn't hit that seventy yard er. The
- 33:22Speaker 3: thing is that seventy yarder was part of what he did.
- 33:25Speaker 3: You want the receiver to fall down at thirty like
- 33:29Speaker 3: in the running game. One of the things that you
- 33:31Speaker 3: continue to do. And that's why you have to establish
- 33:34Speaker 3: a run game. It's why you have to stay consistent
- 33:36Speaker 3: with the run game. There's gonna be a lot of
- 33:38Speaker 3: two and three yard carries and you lean on the defense.
- 33:41Speaker 3: You see where the openings are going to be. You
- 33:44Speaker 3: stay with it and guess what pops a forty, a fifty,
- 33:48Speaker 3: a sixty. The two days I've been out there, Kayden
- 33:52Speaker 3: Durham is hit at least a forty yard run. Now, look,
- 33:56Speaker 3: is the defense doing a great job, Yeah, for sure,
- 33:58Speaker 3: But the off offensive line is going to be a
- 34:02Speaker 3: continued working progress throughout camp. But I'm not going to
- 34:06Speaker 3: sit there and act like they're not opening up running
- 34:09Speaker 3: lanes when you have big hitters, and I think Tata
- 34:13Speaker 3: you said the practice you went to there was like
- 34:15Speaker 3: three big run It.
- 34:17Speaker 9: Was about a fifty five and a forty five, almost
- 34:19Speaker 9: back to back.
- 34:20Speaker 3: That's what the running game is. It's not going to
- 34:23Speaker 3: be seven yards of pop over and over and over again.
- 34:28Speaker 3: If it is, that's troublesome for the LSU defense. No,
- 34:33Speaker 3: a good running game is going to make sure that
- 34:36Speaker 3: they stay within the system, don't try to do things
- 34:40Speaker 3: they can't get done, which we've talked about that in
- 34:42Speaker 3: the past. And eventually the three yards turned into thirty yards,
- 34:47Speaker 3: the five yards turned into fifty yards. Every single day
- 34:51Speaker 3: the LSU run game has hit a big one. And
- 34:55Speaker 3: so I actually go back and I watch some of
- 34:58Speaker 3: the tape and I'm like, all right, they are coming
- 35:01Speaker 3: along at the pace that they need to. And also
- 35:04Speaker 3: the defensive line is better. That's why you don't see
- 35:07Speaker 3: seven yards every single run. So it's always a bit
- 35:10Speaker 3: a pet peeve of mine. Yeah, this guy had a
- 35:12Speaker 3: one hundred and thirty yards rushing, but if you take
- 35:14Speaker 3: the eighty yard out of there, you only had fifty.
- 35:17Speaker 3: The thing about football is that eighty yard run counts,
- 35:20Speaker 3: and that eighty yard run is a part of the story,
- 35:23Speaker 3: and that eighty yard run leads to whatever happens the
- 35:28Speaker 3: rest of the game. And so how do you get
- 35:31Speaker 3: that out there?
- 35:32Speaker 5: There's an evolution in the running game.
- 35:34Speaker 6: It's kind of like when you do let's just ok
- 35:37Speaker 6: a picture in the passing game, Like you run a
- 35:38Speaker 6: bubble screen, bubble screen, bubble screen. It's getting it a
- 35:41Speaker 6: couple of yards, getting in a couple of yards, and
- 35:42Speaker 6: you keep running it. Well, all of a sudden, the
- 35:44Speaker 6: defense starts teeing off on it, and you run a
- 35:46Speaker 6: fake bubble screen and you hit a deep shot down
- 35:48Speaker 6: the sideline. It kind of running plays are kind of
- 35:52Speaker 6: like that. There's a lot of times where it's two
- 35:54Speaker 6: yards in a cloud of dust. There's a lot of
- 35:56Speaker 6: times that's a tackle for a no game for.
- 35:59Speaker 2: Three yards class, there's a my yard.
- 36:02Speaker 5: Two to three not bad, but you're right.
- 36:05Speaker 6: You cannot take anything anything like that away. But that's
- 36:09Speaker 6: the dangers, I guess of training camp. And of course
- 36:11Speaker 6: we have to go out there. We got to make evaluations.
- 36:13Speaker 6: We got to see what's like, who's looking good, who's
- 36:15Speaker 6: looking bad. But when a receiver makes a great catch,
- 36:18Speaker 6: the dB looks bad. Yep, when the safety makes an interception,
- 36:23Speaker 6: the quarterback looks bad. Like somebody's gonna look good, somebody's
- 36:26Speaker 6: gonna look bad. And hopefully if you have a good team,
- 36:29Speaker 6: everybody looks bad at certain points during the day, right,
- 36:32Speaker 6: certain points during a practice, But you are absolutely right,
- 36:35Speaker 6: Like Kate Durham has popped off big runs multiple multiple times.
- 36:44Speaker 6: And I would like to say, like, like the defense
- 36:46Speaker 6: when we went there, did look good, Hunters hunters right
- 36:48Speaker 6: on that, Like the defense look good. At times they
- 36:51Speaker 6: looked like they were stopping the run and the pass equally.
- 36:55Speaker 6: But then Garrett hit a good pass, Kate would break
- 36:58Speaker 6: off a big run.
- 36:59Speaker 5: And that's that's the evolution of practice.
- 37:01Speaker 6: That's the evolution of Okay, what's the what down and
- 37:04Speaker 6: distance are we working this period? Is it more likely
- 37:07Speaker 6: run situations? Okay, the defensive linement's gonna have a little
- 37:09Speaker 6: bit more run technique, like gets a little bit harder.
- 37:11Speaker 6: It's a little bit chalenting, more challenging. And I kind
- 37:16Speaker 6: of asked you this like to kind of argue against
- 37:19Speaker 6: you a little bit at the break. If you say
- 37:23Speaker 6: you can't take a big run away, and you absolutely can't,
- 37:25Speaker 6: because the lineman earned that, the running back earn it
- 37:29Speaker 6: like a big run, and what you do leading up
- 37:33Speaker 6: to that point kind of sets that up. If you're
- 37:35Speaker 6: running inside zone, inside zone, inside zone, you're setting it up,
- 37:38Speaker 6: and then obviously you pop it outside zone and.
- 37:41Speaker 5: You catch them or whatever it is.
- 37:42Speaker 6: But what like, what's your what about you feel the
- 37:45Speaker 6: same if first play the game, we pop a seventy
- 37:48Speaker 6: yard run for a touchdown, defense makes some adjustments and
- 37:51Speaker 6: stops them for stops them from under one hundred the
- 37:53Speaker 6: rest of the game.
- 37:54Speaker 3: Yeah, that look, that still counts. The seventy yard run
- 37:56Speaker 3: still counts. It's still a narrative, is still part of
- 37:58Speaker 3: the game. But that is a difference to situation because
- 38:01Speaker 3: you can't take that away but credit on the defense
- 38:04Speaker 3: for making whatever that adjustment was.
- 38:05Speaker 2: I am more talking about throughout the game.
- 38:08Speaker 3: And look, it's not like you're only hitting three yard
- 38:10Speaker 3: runs two yard runs, like you're hitting Hey, here's a seven, Hey,
- 38:13Speaker 3: here's a two, here's a three, here's an eleven.
- 38:15Speaker 2: Hey, here's a two. Here's a one, here's a no gain,
- 38:18Speaker 2: here's a fourteen. Like.
- 38:19Speaker 3: Part of that is a part of the run game.
- 38:21Speaker 3: That's why you have to stay with us, why you
- 38:23Speaker 3: can't get away from it. How many times have you
- 38:24Speaker 3: seen a game plan where the run's not hitting at
- 38:29Speaker 3: the very beginning of the game and they're like, a,
- 38:30Speaker 3: hell with it, we gotta throw the ball and you
- 38:31Speaker 3: end up throwing the ball forty seven times. That's troublesome.
- 38:34Speaker 3: Like within the run game, you have to stay committed
- 38:37Speaker 3: to it. And I'm not saying just hit your head
- 38:39Speaker 3: against a brick wall like we used two at times
- 38:41Speaker 3: when we were playing. But if you can see the
- 38:44Speaker 3: signs and look these coaches all have because I sit
- 38:46Speaker 3: right next to the LSU coaches. Our radio booth is here,
- 38:49Speaker 3: the offensive coaches right next to us. After every play,
- 38:53Speaker 3: they see the play right back in front of them,
- 38:55Speaker 3: right so they have film in front of them so
- 38:58Speaker 3: they know what's about to pop. They got end zone
- 39:00Speaker 3: copies they can see, Okay, well, man, gosh, if that
- 39:03Speaker 3: back just hits that a gap a little bit quicker,
- 39:05Speaker 3: we've got something there. And it's staying consistent in the
- 39:08Speaker 3: run game, not bailing on the run game too soon.
- 39:12Speaker 3: And so for me it's exciting to see as a
- 39:14Speaker 3: play caller, you're not just running inside zone, right, You're
- 39:18Speaker 3: being creative now in.
- 39:19Speaker 2: The run game.
- 39:19Speaker 3: We saw a bunch of duo the day we went
- 39:21Speaker 3: out there. That's something that's a little bit new. And
- 39:24Speaker 3: they realized that there was a problem last year. And
- 39:27Speaker 3: kateen Dorm had a great year individually, they did not
- 39:29Speaker 3: have a great running attack a year ago. That's the
- 39:32Speaker 3: easy thing to say because it was factual. So they're
- 39:35Speaker 3: changing things up this year. And I do think it's
- 39:37Speaker 3: going to be a run game that they have to
- 39:39Speaker 3: stick with because you're eventually going to lean on the
- 39:42Speaker 3: defensive line long enough to hit a fifty yarder.
- 39:45Speaker 5: Yeah, and and this happened.
- 39:48Speaker 6: You know, when the like I believe that there's going
- 39:52Speaker 6: to be more under center, They're going to throw in
- 39:53Speaker 6: a little bit of that this year at least they
- 39:56Speaker 6: should and we saw a little bit to send it
- 40:00Speaker 6: in some special situations. So I don't know, we'll see
- 40:02Speaker 6: what happens in that, but I I the positive takeaways
- 40:07Speaker 6: I had was, all right, we're running different schemes, do
- 40:10Speaker 6: a powder counter zone. They're like, we're mixing it all in.
- 40:14Speaker 6: But then you look at man the defense are they
- 40:18Speaker 6: Are they better than we were thought they would be.
- 40:20Speaker 6: It's a big question mark right now defensive line, interior
- 40:23Speaker 6: defensive line. These guys look really well coached given a
- 40:25Speaker 6: lot of efforts.
- 40:27Speaker 2: Completely Yeah.
- 40:30Speaker 6: And then so if you you want it to look
- 40:32Speaker 6: good right now because you have question marks young guys
- 40:36Speaker 6: at offensive line that you want them to be going
- 40:40Speaker 6: against guys with really good effort, high effort and really
- 40:44Speaker 6: quality technique from a hand standpoint and footwork standpoint and
- 40:48Speaker 6: hitting their marks and uh gap integrity. You want all
- 40:52Speaker 6: that right now, like you want to be practicing against that.
- 40:55Speaker 5: So I think it's a positive thing.
- 40:57Speaker 6: You want everybody to look good in camp, and you
- 41:00Speaker 6: want everyone to look bad a couple of times because
- 41:02Speaker 6: that means the guy they're facing is doing something well.
- 41:04Speaker 5: And that's training camp, folks. I mean that's that's the
- 41:06Speaker 5: way it is.
- 41:07Speaker 6: You cannot look good the running game cannot look good
- 41:11Speaker 6: every play, and us feel good as a whole about
- 41:15Speaker 6: the team.
- 41:16Speaker 3: Yeah. One of the things that you'll notice immediately. And
- 41:21Speaker 3: I'd like to get taate Stalaltsons. He's been in practice
- 41:24Speaker 3: as well. You've got a couple of defensive tackles that
- 41:28Speaker 3: are set up for monster years and that group looks
- 41:31Speaker 3: like they're going to get interior pressure that you were
- 41:34Speaker 3: certainly missing from a year ago. So we'll have that
- 41:37Speaker 3: to end our number one here on OTV. Off the bench,
- 41:43Speaker 3: I go to Russell Pools dot com. Russell Pool Company

- 42:36Speaker 6: have over there. So if you want to turn your
- 42:38Speaker 6: dream to reality, give them a caller. You'll see them

- 43:01Speaker 1: Two thousand and seven. Champs Purple and Gold to the core.
- 43:04Speaker 1: This is off the Bench with Hester and Flynn Matton
- 43:08Speaker 1: Rougees go to for all things Louisiana sports.
- 43:22Speaker 3: All right, welcome back in OTV here on this Wednesday
- 43:25Speaker 3: morning talking LSU training camp. Where we left off was
- 43:29Speaker 3: talking defensive tackles, Dominic McKinley and my bro Bernard Good
- 43:34Speaker 3: and certainly somebody that is flash. It's good to see
- 43:36Speaker 3: Jacob and Gillery out there as well. But it's going
- 43:39Speaker 3: to be a different look defensive line. We talked about
- 43:42Speaker 3: it three four days ago. Kyle Williams is going to
- 43:45Speaker 3: have a different body type I think in there more
- 43:47Speaker 3: times than not. It's not going to be your three
- 43:49Speaker 3: hundred and thirty pound two gap run stuff or he
- 43:53Speaker 3: is going to you know, look, you're gonna have those
- 43:55Speaker 3: guys for those situations, but it is going to be
- 43:57Speaker 3: a more lean, mean pass rushing on a machine type situation.
- 44:01Speaker 5: Nice.
- 44:02Speaker 3: And I think and we talked about it, what Monday
- 44:06Speaker 3: or maybe it was Friday. Uh, benar Goodin is flashing
- 44:11Speaker 3: and he had he had a move when Flinn and
- 44:13Speaker 3: I went to practice on Saturday. But Taty, you've been
- 44:15Speaker 3: able to go out a couple of times. It seems
- 44:17Speaker 3: like it's not just a one day situation, like it's
- 44:20Speaker 3: kind of been the theme of camp.
- 44:22Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 44:22Speaker 8: No, it's every day.
- 44:23Speaker 9: And I mean, he's a guy you look at the roster,
- 44:25Speaker 9: what seventy two seventy five playing the interior Like he's
- 44:29Speaker 9: not the biggest guy out there by any means, but
- 44:32Speaker 9: he just knows how to do it. And everybody's gonna say, Okay, well,
- 44:35Speaker 9: Josh Thompson's struggling with him, sure, but Josh Thompson's un
- 44:37Speaker 9: struggling against anybody else. And then when they move Brenard
- 44:40Speaker 9: Gooden on the other side.
- 44:41Speaker 8: He beats a d J.
- 44:42Speaker 9: Chester Chester's not struggling with a whole lot of guys.
- 44:45Speaker 9: Goodin's been great. The thing I look at though, like
- 44:47Speaker 9: I put it in the dock, Patrick Payton, Jacoby and
- 44:50Speaker 9: Gillaria Modbro and Jamari Butler. I would take that D
- 44:53Speaker 9: line all day. That was the second team D line yesterday, right.
- 44:56Speaker 9: The depth of this group is what I'm looking at.
- 44:58Speaker 9: Like Gooden's great in pro there's a translate, we'll see,
- 45:01Speaker 9: but the depth of this group. They got seven or
- 45:04Speaker 9: eight guys last you had three.
- 45:06Speaker 3: I think they have to they got they have to
- 45:09Speaker 3: get pressure from the edge rushers.
- 45:11Speaker 2: That's the obvious thing. And I want to see that group.
- 45:13Speaker 3: You got guys coming from Florida, Florida State, Nebraska. So
- 45:17Speaker 3: that group, we don't really know the whole story yet.
- 45:20Speaker 3: Gabe Reliford is somebody I'm intrigued with. We'll see what
- 45:23Speaker 3: that group does. But that's the obvious thing. Interior pressure,
- 45:27Speaker 3: which we can get to a little bit later on
- 45:28Speaker 3: in the show. That to me is the most troublesome
- 45:32Speaker 3: thing as an offense that the defense can give you.
- 45:34Speaker 3: And I'll have Flynn kind of break it down because
- 45:36Speaker 3: he's the guy that's trying to run away from it.
- 45:39Speaker 5: No.
- 45:40Speaker 6: Yeah, like what we're describing for a defensive line sets
- 45:43Speaker 6: up really well for our season this year. I've especially
- 45:45Speaker 6: Game one Kate club Nick is going to try to
- 45:46Speaker 6: move around, get out of the pocket and move around.
- 45:48Speaker 5: So like lean mean defensive line machine.
- 45:52Speaker 2: You almost got there.
- 45:54Speaker 3: We'll get there and we'll be back our number two
- 45:57Speaker 3: O TV off the bench.
- 46:01Speaker 2: I love that you went for I went for it
