King County Parks is cracking down on unsafe motorized vehicles on its trails as faster electric bikes and e-motos surge in popularity, threatening the safety of walkers, runners, and all trail users. While Class One and Two e-bikes are still welcome, Class Three e-bikes and any fully motorized vehicles — including e-motos and ATVs — are strictly banned, as they can reach speeds up to 50 mph, far exceeding the 15 mph limit for shared trails.
