- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:06Speaker 2: It's another episode of the almost Famous podcast.
- 0:08Speaker 3: We are here.
- 0:09Speaker 2: The off season is ticking down closer and closer if
- 0:12Speaker 2: you haven't listened yet. We had an incredible episode with
- 0:16Speaker 2: Jojo and Jordan that was shared last week. It was
- 0:20Speaker 2: the first time I'd spoken to Jojo in seven years.
- 0:23Speaker 2: It was it was great. I felt like we touched
- 0:26Speaker 2: on everything that I would want to touch on, and
- 0:29Speaker 2: there were actually things actually that I wanted to talk
- 0:33Speaker 2: to her about and I and I'm glad we got
- 0:35Speaker 2: to do on the podcast.
- 0:37Speaker 4: I'm glad you did too. I've read some messages about
- 0:40Speaker 4: the podcast and one that came up a few times
- 0:44Speaker 4: was that you guys will seemingly forgot about the episode
- 0:47Speaker 4: of your show with Lauren was called Happily ever After
- 0:50Speaker 4: where you sat down for a meal with Jojo and Jordan.
- 0:54Speaker 5: Why did you both quote forget that? Well, I don't
- 0:57Speaker 5: think we forgot it. It's forgettable, meaning it never It
- 1:01Speaker 5: wasn't anything. It was so fresh after the show. We
- 1:05Speaker 5: didn't really talk about anything, and.
- 1:07Speaker 2: Cameras are all around us, so we never really got
- 1:10Speaker 2: to dive in like I felt like the podcast was
- 1:12Speaker 2: the first time we actually got to authentically dive into Hey,
- 1:16Speaker 2: how did that make you feel?
- 1:18Speaker 3: Were you? Were you angry with me? Was I angry
- 1:20Speaker 3: with you?
- 1:22Speaker 1: Like?
- 1:22Speaker 2: Those things didn't happen on the show because one it
- 1:25Speaker 2: was so fresh. Two it wasn't really why we were there.
- 1:29Speaker 2: We were kind of there for this, like, hey, we're
- 1:32Speaker 2: all good, we're moving on, and it wasn't true.
- 1:34Speaker 6: You know, it wasn't real.
- 1:35Speaker 3: It wasn't real.
- 1:36Speaker 2: It was It was still very painful, especially for Lauren,
- 1:40Speaker 2: and it was awkward for me. I don't know how
- 1:43Speaker 2: Jordan and Jojo felt, but no, we didn't forget about it.
- 1:46Speaker 2: It just this is the first real I guess maybe
- 1:49Speaker 2: the better way to say it was, this is the
- 1:51Speaker 2: first real conversation we have had since that sit down lunch.
- 1:57Speaker 4: Did you guys talk at all off camera or was
- 2:00Speaker 4: it mostly all camera?
- 2:01Speaker 2: It was all camera. It was actually I'm telling you,
- 2:04Speaker 2: it was one of those moments. I mean, this is
- 2:05Speaker 2: only a few months after her time on the Bachelorette.
- 2:08Speaker 3: It was one of those moments where it's.
- 2:10Speaker 2: Like, I don't think this is healthy, this isn't true,
- 2:14Speaker 2: Like I'm glad that she's you know, like we're gonna
- 2:17Speaker 2: see her happy. I'm glad you see us happy. That's
- 2:20Speaker 2: all great, But there wasn't like a moment for healing
- 2:23Speaker 2: because it was still so real, it was still so fresh.
- 2:26Speaker 2: We hadn't we hadn't moved on. None of us had
- 2:29Speaker 2: like fully to where we're like, okay, our lives are
- 2:32Speaker 2: now settled, let's get back together again to.
- 2:35Speaker 3: Talk about this. And there was no talking off camera.
- 2:39Speaker 3: It was very awkward.
- 2:41Speaker 2: I would say, like when the cameras were down, it
- 2:43Speaker 2: was very like, hey, I'll go do my thing.
- 2:46Speaker 3: You go do your thing. We're not like chit chatting.
- 2:50Speaker 4: Do you want to talk a little bit about how
- 2:51Speaker 4: Happily ever After? Was very self scripted and it made
- 2:55Speaker 4: you feel a bit uncomfortable filming.
- 2:57Speaker 6: Yeah, I can.
- 2:59Speaker 5: You know.
- 2:59Speaker 2: It was It was an interesting season in my life
- 3:02Speaker 2: where I wanted to get involved.
- 3:07Speaker 3: And like public works of some kind.
- 3:10Speaker 2: And the show came and said, hey, how about you
- 3:13Speaker 2: run for office? And I said that sounds great, and
- 3:16Speaker 2: we set it all up and we filmed for six
- 3:17Speaker 2: weeks and I campaigned and then you know, the Republican
- 3:22Speaker 2: Party which I was running under had changed a lot.
- 3:26Speaker 2: You know, if you remember twenty sixteen, it was a
- 3:28Speaker 2: it was a really transitional time for the party and
- 3:32Speaker 2: things became very hostile and I couldn't I didn't really mean.
- 3:38Speaker 3: This is personal.
- 3:38Speaker 2: I don't really have a try like a tribe when
- 3:40Speaker 2: it comes to politics that I fit in anymore because
- 3:44Speaker 2: and I felt that during that time, and so it
- 3:48Speaker 2: was agreed upon by everybody that I removed myself from
- 3:50Speaker 2: the race because I was no longer liking, you know,
- 3:54Speaker 2: the path forward with what I was running for.
- 3:58Speaker 3: And then this show said, well, we still have a show.
- 4:00Speaker 3: What do you guys want to do?
- 4:01Speaker 2: And we said, well, I don't know, and they said,
- 4:03Speaker 2: let's film your life, and so it was kind of
- 4:05Speaker 2: like everything.
- 4:06Speaker 6: So they film stuff and then they scrapped it.
- 4:08Speaker 2: Yeah, oh yeah a lot, and then you know, happily
- 4:12Speaker 2: ever after question mark was.
- 4:17Speaker 3: You know, originally the plan was a question mark.
- 4:19Speaker 6: Yeah, I guess the question mark is critical.
- 4:22Speaker 2: It was critical, and it kind of they definitely made
- 4:26Speaker 2: sure to emphasize the question mark. And so they knew
- 4:28Speaker 2: Lauren and I so well at the time that they
- 4:31Speaker 2: knew every issue we were having, and they were around us.
- 4:36Speaker 2: I mean, it was a seven am start, seven pm
- 4:39Speaker 2: in and our you know, little house in Denver, and
- 4:45Speaker 2: they kind of would say every day like, hey, today,
- 4:48Speaker 2: we're going to go look at new houses. And I
- 4:50Speaker 2: would say, I don't think that's smart. That's a conversation
- 4:54Speaker 2: we haven't yet had, and when we do have it,
- 4:56Speaker 2: it doesn't feel like we are on the same page,
- 4:59Speaker 2: and so it just doesn't feel good to put ourselves
- 5:01Speaker 2: back into a conversation that we're having. And they would
- 5:04Speaker 2: say perfect, and then they would do it, you know,
- 5:08Speaker 2: and it over time. I mean, I'm very weird to
- 5:12Speaker 2: say now, I'm very thankful for that show because I
- 5:15Speaker 2: do think it highlighted for both of us what we
- 5:16Speaker 2: were really looking for and what we were really needing
- 5:19Speaker 2: in a partner. And I think that show showed us, hey,
- 5:21Speaker 2: we're not compatible long term. And obviously it led me
- 5:25Speaker 2: to my wife and it led her to her husband,
- 5:28Speaker 2: and I don't I mean, I think we would have
- 5:29Speaker 2: probably gotten there anyways, but I think the show expedited that.
- 5:33Speaker 2: But it was, you know, very it was just, you know,
- 5:37Speaker 2: it was like it was like taking things in our
- 5:40Speaker 2: life and exploding them. And sometimes it was harder to
- 5:46Speaker 2: handle than others, and sometimes it hurt worse than others sometimes,
- 5:49Speaker 2: you know, the marriage conversation, right, I mean I remember
- 5:51Speaker 2: when that came up.
- 5:53Speaker 3: You know, I got.
- 5:53Speaker 2: Blamed for having cold feet. Neither of us will wanted
- 5:56Speaker 2: to get married, like it was not we're not in
- 5:57Speaker 2: a healthy place, and so I was just taken kind
- 6:00Speaker 2: of disord for both of us to say, yeah, we're
- 6:03Speaker 2: not ready for this, and that was the conversation we
- 6:05Speaker 2: were having behind the scenes. I'm okay that, you know,
- 6:07Speaker 2: people said, hey, he's not ready. I wasn't so true.
- 6:11Speaker 2: I wasn't ready to marry her, and I never was,
- 6:14Speaker 2: you know, once we started to know each other. So yeah,
- 6:16Speaker 2: Happily ever After was like soft scripted in the sense
- 6:18Speaker 2: that they kind of I mean, if you watched every episode,
- 6:21Speaker 2: those were things going on in our life that they
- 6:24Speaker 2: then emphasized on the show and put us in a
- 6:27Speaker 2: position to either really have like hard you know, conversations
- 6:33Speaker 2: publicly with cameras around, or fake it. And after a while,
- 6:36Speaker 2: you just can't fake it anymore.
- 6:38Speaker 3: We're not actors and actresses.
- 6:40Speaker 4: During the Jojo interview, you said that Jess was at work,
- 6:43Speaker 4: you know, she kind of knew that you were doing it,
- 6:44Speaker 4: you know today, but whatever.
- 6:46Speaker 6: You know, it was not a big deal.
- 6:47Speaker 4: You never thought that like jess would care at all
- 6:49Speaker 4: that you were talking to Jojo, did you guys like
- 6:51Speaker 4: debrief on the interview later when she got home.
- 6:54Speaker 3: A little bit.
- 6:56Speaker 2: You know, she, like I said to during the interview,
- 6:59Speaker 2: like she would or during our time together, like Jessica
- 7:02Speaker 2: wants whatever is best for me and my work and
- 7:07Speaker 2: all those things, as long as it's not detrimental to
- 7:09Speaker 2: our relationship, and that talking to JoJo's obviously not detrimental
- 7:13Speaker 2: to our relationship. We did get to talk about it
- 7:16Speaker 2: with her family because we spent the weekend and I'll
- 7:18Speaker 2: talk more about this in New Hampshire this weekend with
- 7:21Speaker 2: her family. It was awesome. My parents were out here
- 7:24Speaker 2: watching Whalen and Denver. We're at dinner and I just
- 7:28Speaker 2: brought up to her family. I was like, you know,
- 7:30Speaker 2: because her mom listens, and very thankful for that because
- 7:34Speaker 2: she does.
- 7:34Speaker 3: She's a good supporter.
- 7:37Speaker 2: But I didn't want her, you know, her mom, because
- 7:39Speaker 2: her mom is still her mom and protective to be
- 7:42Speaker 2: like been interviewed Jojo, and the headlines and the you know,
- 7:46Speaker 2: little promos.
- 7:47Speaker 3: Seemed to make this very promise awkward and I.
- 7:51Speaker 2: So I just said, hey, I got to interview Jojoe today,
- 7:54Speaker 2: and I said, you want to know something wild that
- 7:56Speaker 2: I kind of in a sense forgotten, was that right
- 8:00Speaker 2: before I came to meet you guys for the first time,
- 8:03Speaker 2: I saw Jojo and Jordan in the airport. How wild
- 8:06Speaker 2: is that? So we got to talk about that, which
- 8:07Speaker 2: was great because I think that's such a cool story
- 8:11Speaker 2: and I think JoJo's right where it was.
- 8:13Speaker 3: I didn't.
- 8:14Speaker 2: It wasn't something I needed, it wasn't something that I wanted,
- 8:17Speaker 2: but it was a great reminder walking into that day
- 8:20Speaker 2: of gosh, like, life is moving on and I am
- 8:23Speaker 2: so happy about it, and I'm happy for her and
- 8:26Speaker 2: I'm happy for me and uh, and this is just
- 8:29Speaker 2: a wild way to start this new chapter in my
- 8:32Speaker 2: life that's obviously became a huge chapter. And so we
- 8:35Speaker 2: got to talk about that. Jessica hasn't been very inquisitive
- 8:39Speaker 2: when it comes to an interview, just because you know,
- 8:42Speaker 2: I think she gets it. You know, she gets that
- 8:44Speaker 2: this is part of my work, and she gets that.
- 8:47Speaker 2: You know, I think her confidence in my relationship with
- 8:50Speaker 2: Jessica and how I view her and how I see
- 8:52Speaker 2: her now I want to spend my life for there
- 8:54Speaker 2: is very strong and so she's just like, yeah, that's
- 8:56Speaker 2: great that you got to do that.
- 8:58Speaker 3: Uh.
- 8:58Speaker 2: And I mean it when I say that. Jessica and
- 8:59Speaker 2: I had conversations, and this is for anybody I have
- 9:03Speaker 2: personally seen in my life that you know, I've had
- 9:05Speaker 2: some amazing people that I've dated, some incredible humans, and
- 9:09Speaker 2: it's weird when those relationships end because you know they've
- 9:13Speaker 2: had such a big part of your life. I'm not
- 9:15Speaker 2: saying you need to be best friends. I'm not saying
- 9:17Speaker 2: you need to keep in contact, but what I am
- 9:18Speaker 2: saying is there seems to be something really healthy that
- 9:24Speaker 2: happens when you can move on knowing that each of
- 9:29Speaker 2: you have mutual support, respect, care for the other person,
- 9:33Speaker 2: and that you want to see them thrive and survive.
- 9:38Speaker 2: You know, those are those and so that kind of
- 9:40Speaker 2: was that the interview was for me. It was just
- 9:42Speaker 2: another moment to tell Jojo, I think you're great. I'm
- 9:44Speaker 2: so happy for you. You were such a great person
- 9:48Speaker 2: to have on the show, you know, during that season,
- 9:52Speaker 2: and this is so fun to be able to now
- 9:55Speaker 2: like know that you and I both care. And I
- 9:58Speaker 2: got text Jordan afterwards too, after that, you guys, get
- 10:01Speaker 2: a golf We're going to go. I meant it when
- 10:03Speaker 2: I said we're going to golf, We're gonna hang out.
- 10:06Speaker 2: I think he's awesome and I would love to do that.
- 10:10Speaker 3: It just as you know. Friends.
- 10:13Speaker 2: So really glad that interview happened, Really happy about it,
- 10:18Speaker 2: and I think only good can come from it, including
- 10:21Speaker 2: all of you listening.
- 10:24Speaker 6: Don't get annoyed at me.
- 10:26Speaker 4: I'm a stickler when it comes to facts and a
- 10:28Speaker 4: story being straight. I was thinking, I remember the first
- 10:33Speaker 4: time that you ever met Jess in person was when
- 10:37Speaker 4: you flew her at the Denver She got out of
- 10:40Speaker 4: the car and then you were like, what do I do?
- 10:42Speaker 4: Do I kiss her? And then you kissed her on
- 10:45Speaker 4: your first in person hello. But then you said that
- 10:48Speaker 4: in Nashville it was the first time that you met
- 10:51Speaker 4: her and you passed by them, the family. Okay, okay,
- 10:54Speaker 4: so we're gonna clear. Okay, that was the first time
- 10:56Speaker 4: you met her family. That was the first time you
- 10:57Speaker 4: went to Nashville to visit her.
- 10:58Speaker 2: Yeah, this is the first time I arrived in Nashville
- 11:00Speaker 2: to visit her. It was gosh, it had to be
- 11:04Speaker 2: so she came out. It was probably a week or
- 11:05Speaker 2: two after here, but yeah, it was the first time
- 11:07Speaker 2: I met her family. Okay, actually, before we move on
- 11:10Speaker 2: the headlines today, I did get to spend the weekend
- 11:12Speaker 2: in New Hampshire. I just got back and then I
- 11:15Speaker 2: went to d C for a Project Hope board meeting
- 11:19Speaker 2: for about eight hours. So I flew from Manchester, New
- 11:21Speaker 2: Hampshire to Washington, d C. Flew back late last night.
- 11:24Speaker 2: We got to go to New Hampshire to celebrate my
- 11:26Speaker 2: father in the law sixtieth birthday.
- 11:28Speaker 3: The whole family.
- 11:29Speaker 6: Happy birthday.
- 11:30Speaker 2: Yeah, I just want to say happy birthday. It was
- 11:31Speaker 2: an incredible weekend. As I said, we had Jessica and
- 11:34Speaker 2: I are feeling full of love because my parents were
- 11:37Speaker 2: out here in Denver for about ten days. They watched
- 11:41Speaker 2: Whalen when we left, but then they got to hang
- 11:43Speaker 2: out with us for a bit when we were here
- 11:45Speaker 2: for about a week, and then we went on to
- 11:47Speaker 2: see her family in New Hampshire. We had a really
- 11:50Speaker 2: good time. If you're in New Hampshire and you get
- 11:54Speaker 2: a chance, stop by Fishercat Stadium to watch Philip Clark,
- 11:57Speaker 2: my brother in law play, Oh cool because he's playing
- 12:02Speaker 2: for the fisher Cats.
- 12:03Speaker 3: This year, and so we got to do that.
- 12:05Speaker 2: So happy sixtieth birthday, Jay Clark, love him a ton,
- 12:10Speaker 2: the best falling all in the world.
- 12:11Speaker 3: And we had a really really good time.
- 12:14Speaker 6: That's so nice.
- 12:25Speaker 4: Before we move on to headlines, I just want to
- 12:29Speaker 4: bring up something funny that just happened. He just got
- 12:31Speaker 4: a quick interruption by Waylan. You know Ben's dog, and
- 12:36Speaker 4: apparently he was chewing on his slipper. But Ben talks
- 12:39Speaker 4: to his dog in the most respectful way. He goes, Waylan,
- 12:43Speaker 4: could you please not chew my slipper. That's my good slipper.
- 12:47Speaker 4: I don't think that's fair to me, because that's just
- 12:51Speaker 4: not right. So there's two funny things here. One you
- 12:55Speaker 4: talk to him so you know, maturely. And secondly, you
- 13:00Speaker 4: have good slippers versus bad slippers. And our producer Easton
- 13:04Speaker 4: was thinking, like he's imagining you in You're in a
- 13:06Speaker 4: robe with your good slippers on, smoking a pipe.
- 13:09Speaker 6: Now that's not too far off from reality.
- 13:11Speaker 3: That's not too far off. I mean these are my
- 13:13Speaker 3: good ug slippers, you know the ones. Oh yeah, those.
- 13:16Speaker 6: Are actually good ones.
- 13:17Speaker 4: Jared had a pair two when Tom Brady was of
- 13:19Speaker 4: course advertising for him about a decade ago.
- 13:21Speaker 3: There's there.
- 13:23Speaker 2: Yeah, And then I have outdoor slippers. He's not allowed
- 13:25Speaker 2: to have those either, But the ugs are very sacred
- 13:29Speaker 2: to me, and he was chewing on it and he's
- 13:31Speaker 2: never done that before ever, and so I'm confused. And
- 13:34Speaker 2: that's why I wanted to talk to him and just
- 13:36Speaker 2: you make him know that this is not common, This
- 13:39Speaker 2: is not.
- 13:40Speaker 6: Normal behavior for you, not fair to me.
- 13:42Speaker 3: Yeah, he was trying to get my attention.
- 13:45Speaker 2: I have a theory that if I talk to my
- 13:47Speaker 2: dog with respect and I don't yell, then he will
- 13:53Speaker 2: match my maturity.
- 13:56Speaker 6: I love that.
- 13:56Speaker 3: I don't know if it's true yet, but we're working
- 13:59Speaker 3: on it as improven.
- 14:03Speaker 6: All right, let's get to headlines.
- 14:04Speaker 3: Here we go.
- 14:06Speaker 2: First headline is this, did Bachelor in Paradise's Brandon Jones
- 14:10Speaker 2: cheat on ex Serene Russell before breakup? This according to
- 14:14Speaker 2: Yahoo goodness gracious, Um, I hope not.
- 14:19Speaker 4: Okay, So we all know that Brandon and Serene broke
- 14:23Speaker 4: up a couple of weeks ago, or the announcer split
- 14:26Speaker 4: a few weeks ago. Well, there was a video that
- 14:28Speaker 4: started circulating in May that showed him at a club
- 14:34Speaker 4: in San Diego with a other girl, So obviously people
- 14:40Speaker 4: are wondering if he and this other girl are the
- 14:43Speaker 4: reasoning behind the split. Now, it was three days before
- 14:49Speaker 4: it was apparently the videos was taking three days before
- 14:51Speaker 4: they confirmed their split. I also oddly received an email
- 14:56Speaker 4: that was from a random person with like no details,
- 15:00Speaker 4: just titled like Brandon, and there was a photo, and
- 15:05Speaker 4: I think that they wanted me to bring it up
- 15:06Speaker 4: on the podcast. But then of course reality Steve actually
- 15:10Speaker 4: reports it, and I think there's just like speculation now,
- 15:14Speaker 4: and the question is were they broken up and they
- 15:16Speaker 4: just didn't announce the split, or was he actually cheating
- 15:18Speaker 4: on her? I don't think I personally don't think Brandon's
- 15:22Speaker 4: dumb enough to go out in public with another woman
- 15:27Speaker 4: when he's publicly supposedly in a relationship with one of
- 15:31Speaker 4: Bachelor Nation's favorites.
- 15:33Speaker 2: Well, I would say I would believe that same thing.
- 15:36Speaker 2: But we've been shocked before the behavior of people that
- 15:38Speaker 2: think they can get away with stuff.
- 15:40Speaker 3: I hope not.
- 15:42Speaker 2: This is a This was a weird one to have
- 15:44Speaker 2: split because I know you and I we've said it before.
- 15:46Speaker 2: We really thought this couple was in for the long Haultogether,
- 15:51Speaker 2: they made a lot of sense It's still weird to
- 15:54Speaker 2: see their names in a split kind of coming after that.
- 15:59Speaker 2: But you know, we don't want to start a rumor here.
- 16:00Speaker 2: We don't want to make assumptions here. All we know
- 16:02Speaker 2: is that that rumor is out there and actually did
- 16:06Speaker 2: receive a picture. Really, Steve has reported on it, and
- 16:09Speaker 2: Yahoo was covering an article about it.
- 16:10Speaker 4: I can also just say that, like, I have seed
- 16:14Speaker 4: sources that have basically told me that there was trouble
- 16:17Speaker 4: there for a long time before the split was announced,
- 16:20Speaker 4: So I wouldn't have been surprised if they were actually
- 16:23Speaker 4: split up. I'm not trying to defend Brendan and him
- 16:26Speaker 4: obviously moving on quickly or possibly cheating, but I just like.
- 16:30Speaker 6: I know that it was coming.
- 16:33Speaker 2: Yeah, Well, the next headline is this. People have been
- 16:36Speaker 2: emailing and asking about the updates and who we're here
- 16:39Speaker 2: to give it to you. The Bachelor star Deanna Pappis
- 16:42Speaker 2: settles custody battle. This according to Yaho as well.
- 16:46Speaker 4: All right, well, we wouldn't talk about these dirty beats
- 16:49Speaker 4: if they weren't totally out there for the world to see.
- 16:52Speaker 4: So their custody agreement says that the parent having the
- 16:59Speaker 4: children like during the custody period, has to be abstaining
- 17:03Speaker 4: from narcotics dangerous drugs within twelve hours of their custody periods,
- 17:09Speaker 4: and also says that neither party parents shall drink and
- 17:13Speaker 4: excess of the legal limit during their custody periods or
- 17:17Speaker 4: have a child or children in their custody when being intoxicated.
- 17:22Speaker 2: Now, is this not just to be clear, I wonder
- 17:24Speaker 2: if this is just a typical language fortunite.
- 17:29Speaker 6: Yah, I don't know.
- 17:29Speaker 2: Yeah, I think I would assume that this is an agreement.
- 17:33Speaker 2: That is, it's pretty typical, typical when it comes to
- 17:37Speaker 2: like custody battles like that. You just kind of agree
- 17:40Speaker 2: to sign this and say, yeah, no, that makes sense.
- 17:42Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 17:44Speaker 4: Goes on to say that neither party shall operate or
- 17:46Speaker 4: attempt to operate a motor vehicle with the children in
- 17:48Speaker 4: the car if they've consumed alcohol and excess of the
- 17:51Speaker 4: label element.
- 17:52Speaker 3: Doesn't that make sense? I mean, yes, this is all sense.
- 17:54Speaker 2: This is not like, yeah, shocking, and there's not like
- 17:57Speaker 2: I mean, I don't know enough about that.
- 17:59Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 17:59Speaker 4: You got guys, let us know about custody battles, and
- 18:02Speaker 4: this is typical.
- 18:03Speaker 3: But I would imagine this is in every agreement that happens.
- 18:07Speaker 4: This is also interesting, and I don't know that this
- 18:10Speaker 4: is typical, says there was also an agreement made not
- 18:14Speaker 4: to trash one another in front of the kids.
- 18:17Speaker 3: I don't know if that's typically either.
- 18:18Speaker 2: It's kind of interesting to hear what you know two
- 18:21Speaker 2: parties do agree upon and what's important through the process.
- 18:25Speaker 2: So that's interesting. But yeah, I don't think this is
- 18:28Speaker 2: like shocking for anybody it's gone through this before. I'm
- 18:31Speaker 2: assuming these are very normal conversations and very normal agreements.
- 18:37Speaker 6: I'm assuming.
- 18:38Speaker 4: I mean, also, this is like some of the times
- 18:40Speaker 4: how many times we're going to say assume, But if
- 18:43Speaker 4: I was in a divorce situation with kids, you'd think that,
- 18:47Speaker 4: like if you don't oh bye by this, like say
- 18:50Speaker 4: you do get in trouble for those things, then you
- 18:54Speaker 4: would fight first. It would be easier for you to
- 18:56Speaker 4: get soul custody after those incidents, and that's why they're
- 18:59Speaker 4: in there.
- 18:59Speaker 6: Sure anyway, moving on.
- 19:02Speaker 3: That's the agreement.
- 19:03Speaker 2: So do we have any clarity actually on the timing,
- 19:07Speaker 2: like who is Okay?
- 19:09Speaker 3: There's no clarity on who.
- 19:11Speaker 4: No. I was thinking, I was thinking that's what the
- 19:14Speaker 4: article was going to be about like, oh wow, shocking
- 19:16Speaker 4: one of them has full custody or something like that.
- 19:19Speaker 2: Yeah, next headline is this Wills Adams shares hilarious update
- 19:34Speaker 2: from day two of filming Bachelor in Paradise. So, filming
- 19:36Speaker 2: is happening, Wells is down there and he's been great
- 19:39Speaker 2: on a social media about keeping us at least uh
- 19:43Speaker 2: seeing Paradise, seeing the beach, and it feels like so
- 19:47Speaker 2: far the energy is really good.
- 19:50Speaker 6: It's actually quite hilarious.
- 19:52Speaker 4: So he says that there are just a bunch of
- 19:54Speaker 4: gen zers on the beach and he has no idea
- 19:57Speaker 4: what they're talking about. This is his rundown from day two.
- 20:00Speaker 4: He so, there's a lot of talk about vibes, good vibes,
- 20:04Speaker 4: bad vibes.
- 20:05Speaker 6: The vibes are off, I don't know what.
- 20:07Speaker 4: There are also a lot of keys being thrown around
- 20:10Speaker 4: a bunch. There are high keys, low keys, a low key.
- 20:14Speaker 4: I don't know what the f you're talking about. And
- 20:18Speaker 4: then he says, oh yeah, and flags. Flags are a
- 20:21Speaker 4: big thing. I'm talking red flags, green flags, and beige flags.
- 20:26Speaker 6: Beige flags which.
- 20:27Speaker 4: I also just learned about what a beige flag is
- 20:30Speaker 4: last week. Is it's not really a problem, he says,
- 20:32Speaker 4: and he really defines it well here. He says, it's
- 20:35Speaker 4: more like an idiosyncrasy of your character. I heard someone
- 20:39Speaker 4: say yesterday that I'm confusion.
- 20:43Speaker 6: He goes, those are the exact words.
- 20:45Speaker 4: It wasn't like I'm confused, it is I'm confusion. He's like, wait, what, Ben,
- 20:52Speaker 4: do you what do you think a beige flag of
- 20:54Speaker 4: yours is? Because when we were talking about this on
- 20:56Speaker 4: my other podcast, we're talking about how like Jared's beige
- 21:00Speaker 4: flag would probably be that he's like so obsessed with
- 21:03Speaker 4: Tom Brady that it like could be mildly concerning to.
- 21:07Speaker 3: Some Mine is jessic Can.
- 21:10Speaker 2: I just did the a brain scan with a company
- 21:14Speaker 2: called brain Code out of Denver, and they told me
- 21:16Speaker 2: I need to get some therapy before I become a
- 21:19Speaker 2: dad because I play in my head every scenario. My
- 21:23Speaker 2: beige flag would be like I I worry about everything,
- 21:28Speaker 2: but I also play the good scenarios in my head
- 21:30Speaker 2: the bad scenarios, and then that's how my brain works.
- 21:33Speaker 2: And so before I become a father, I need to
- 21:35Speaker 2: get some work done because I just worry about everything.
- 21:37Speaker 2: So my beige flag would just be hey, he's he
- 21:40Speaker 2: is in his own head often.
- 21:43Speaker 3: Okay, does that make sense?
- 21:45Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 21:45Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 21:46Speaker 3: Is that a beige flag or is that like a
- 21:47Speaker 3: red flag?
- 21:49Speaker 4: Well, that's definitely not a red flag. I think that's
- 21:51Speaker 4: being human. I think that's the hard thing about beige flags,
- 21:55Speaker 4: well gen ziers and they're beige flags, you know, is
- 21:58Speaker 4: that you just like, don't really they're just not that concerning.
- 22:01Speaker 4: So why are we calling it a flag in any
- 22:03Speaker 4: in any way? Why don't we just call it like, Oh,
- 22:05Speaker 4: that's quirky. Oh that's a nice quirk of you. Oh,
- 22:08Speaker 4: it's an interesting element of your personality.
- 22:11Speaker 3: I'm getting cool, getting old.
- 22:13Speaker 2: Hey, uh, next update is this Bachelor in Paradise is
- 22:17Speaker 2: Raven Gates and Adam had You know, Raven is pregnant
- 22:21Speaker 2: and they soaked up the Italian sun on baby moon.
- 22:25Speaker 2: Baby moons are becoming more and more popular. I never
- 22:27Speaker 2: knew about him until, you know, people started doing them
- 22:29Speaker 2: and I started seeing social media.
- 22:31Speaker 3: But they said they had a great trip. They ten
- 22:33Speaker 3: out of ten would recommend I.
- 22:35Speaker 4: Would like to do a baby moon before getting pregnant,
- 22:38Speaker 4: because one, you're pregnant, I just yeah, now not feeling
- 22:41Speaker 4: my most beautiful and vacationing. But these two look just
- 22:45Speaker 4: like they're just the freaking cutest. They went to Rome
- 22:48Speaker 4: and Florence and then they went to Like Como and
- 22:51Speaker 4: Adam said some interesting things about this trip. One he
- 22:54Speaker 4: said that they'd like to do one big trip just
- 22:56Speaker 4: the two of them each year to connect as a couple,
- 22:58Speaker 4: which I think is great advice. Then he also said
- 23:02Speaker 4: that they had a travel agent do this plan it
- 23:06Speaker 4: for them. He said, They've done this many times more
- 23:10Speaker 4: than you have. He also suggested getting good mileage credit
- 23:13Speaker 4: a good mileage credit card to rack up the miles,
- 23:16Speaker 4: of course, to help with travel deals and other things
- 23:20Speaker 4: that they did. They they chartered a boat for the day.
- 23:23Speaker 4: They had the best pizza. They said that Like Como
- 23:27Speaker 4: was pretty much like the most low key relaxing of
- 23:30Speaker 4: the places that they went.
- 23:31Speaker 6: They also went to the coll.
- 23:32Speaker 2: Sum That sounds awesome. I'm going to Italy in September.
- 23:36Speaker 2: Super Pump Okay next headline Bachelor star Matt James Mom
- 23:42Speaker 2: is in talks to appear on spinoff for seniors, The
- 23:45Speaker 2: Golden Bachelor. Ashley never really thought about this, should be
- 23:48Speaker 2: incredible on it. I also have a follow up question
- 23:51Speaker 2: for you. Do we know if Matt James and Rachel
- 23:53Speaker 2: are still together.
- 23:54Speaker 4: Okay, so according to my my deductions, my stocking abilities,
- 24:01Speaker 4: it seems like they are still together because they seemed
- 24:05Speaker 4: to have actually been in the same place this week
- 24:08Speaker 4: together at like a party, because there was another influencer
- 24:13Speaker 4: that documented the two of them there currently on that day,
- 24:18Speaker 4: so it wasn't like they were posting old footage, you
- 24:20Speaker 4: know what I mean. Yep, Okay, So I'm like really
- 24:22Speaker 4: relieved by that. I don't know why. I mean, like,
- 24:25Speaker 4: I just really want them to be together. It makes sense,
- 24:27Speaker 4: but they definitely had some time physically a part over
- 24:31Speaker 4: the past month or so that happened.
- 24:33Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, and then yeah, it makes sense that Matt
- 24:37Speaker 2: James's mom would be on the show.
- 24:38Speaker 3: She's beautiful.
- 24:39Speaker 4: But does it because because Matt doesn't like love his
- 24:43Speaker 4: time from the show, even though he met Rachel through it,
- 24:46Speaker 4: you know, like, I don't think he like thinks highly
- 24:48Speaker 4: or whatever suggests or wouldever be part of it again himself.
- 24:51Speaker 4: So it's interesting that he would be down for his
- 24:54Speaker 4: mom to do it.
- 24:54Speaker 6: I don't know, don't you now.
- 24:56Speaker 2: I think he probably likes the show more than what
- 25:00Speaker 2: we know. I mean, nobody think about what it's done
- 25:03Speaker 2: for his life. He met his at least what we
- 25:05Speaker 2: assumes his partner. He started a whole new career from it.
- 25:08Speaker 2: He's getting to do all these marathons and these food tours.
- 25:12Speaker 2: Like I mean, I know there was some like difficulty
- 25:16Speaker 2: through it, but I bet now if he looks back,
- 25:18Speaker 2: he's like he's happy with where it spit him out.
- 25:22Speaker 6: I really want them to come on the podcast.
- 25:24Speaker 3: Let's bring them on, Let's spring them on. That's how
- 25:25Speaker 3: we really one.
- 25:26Speaker 4: They're like the next one that I feel like it's
- 25:28Speaker 4: difficult to get but really really important.
- 25:31Speaker 3: Yeah, it'd be great. Okay.
- 25:33Speaker 2: Congratulations to Emily Ferguson and her husband William Carlson. Obviously
- 25:39Speaker 2: we did announce on the podcast that they did have
- 25:42Speaker 2: their son, Beckham, and also her husband just won the
- 25:46Speaker 2: Stanley Cup. There's a beautiful picture where she puts Beckham
- 25:49Speaker 2: in the Stanley Cup. What a picture to have framed
- 25:52Speaker 2: on you in your office one day, your son in
- 25:55Speaker 2: the Stanley Cup. What an incredible celebration.
- 25:58Speaker 6: Blow it up and put it above the fire place.
- 26:00Speaker 6: I know, how cool is that? So the baby is.
- 26:02Speaker 4: One month old, little Beckham, and he is he's in
- 26:06Speaker 4: the Stanley Cup. Two cool, I have a question for
- 26:09Speaker 4: you about sports. The Stanley Cup. Is it passed around
- 26:13Speaker 4: each year or is it just created new each year?
- 26:17Speaker 2: I mean there's always replicas, but it's it's passed around
- 26:21Speaker 2: because it is. Yeah, i mean people drink out of it.
- 26:23Speaker 2: It's been dented before, it needs to be fixed. There
- 26:26Speaker 2: is definitely like one Stanley Cup.
- 26:28Speaker 4: Okay, so it's not like the Super Bowl trophies where
- 26:31Speaker 4: like they are in the display case at the facility.
- 26:35Speaker 2: Well, I don't think those are the real I mean
- 26:36Speaker 2: those aren't the real ones. Obviously, they're replicas. And I
- 26:39Speaker 2: think once the team passed to pass it on, then
- 26:41Speaker 2: they'll get like a replica that'll they'll be able to
- 26:43Speaker 2: show off.
- 26:44Speaker 6: Okay, interesting.
- 26:46Speaker 2: Yeah, I want to know where the Stanley Cup lives
- 26:49Speaker 2: or any of the Yeah, I mean, I'm sure there's
- 26:51Speaker 2: a place that everybody knows that loves hockey. But it's interesting.
- 26:54Speaker 2: Incredulations to Las Vegas on the win. It was a
- 26:57Speaker 2: great series, a great playoffs for them. They really dominated
- 27:02Speaker 2: and I'm very exciting. I'm sure all of them are
- 27:05Speaker 2: celebrating in big ways. Actually, I don't think we've talked
- 27:09Speaker 2: about this, but this is a headline that I have
- 27:11Speaker 2: some secret info.
- 27:12Speaker 3: I think I've shared this.
- 27:14Speaker 6: I love secret info from Ben Well.
- 27:16Speaker 2: Dean Ungler has been out in Denver quite a bit
- 27:20Speaker 2: and he's living out his truck as he does, like
- 27:23Speaker 2: not a van, his truck.
- 27:24Speaker 6: Yeah, when will does the crossover happen?
- 27:27Speaker 2: Well, there's a reason that he's living at his truck
- 27:29Speaker 2: because he is hiking all the fourteen ers and you know,
- 27:33Speaker 2: as I've seen you mentioned and uh, he's just kind
- 27:37Speaker 2: of cruising around because a lot of these have hard
- 27:39Speaker 2: trails in the van want to be able to get
- 27:40Speaker 2: up there, so he had to do it out of
- 27:41Speaker 2: his truck. He's gonna be living out his truck till
- 27:43Speaker 2: they get married. They're in Bali right now, so he's
- 27:46Speaker 2: going back and forth. But if you're out there just
- 27:49Speaker 2: sending a message and say best of luck, follow that journey.
- 27:52Speaker 2: It's gonna be wild. I cannot tell you how impressive
- 27:54Speaker 2: it is. If he gets even half of them done
- 27:57Speaker 2: in one summer, it's.
- 27:59Speaker 3: Gonna be cool. Ashley.
- 28:00Speaker 2: That's all the headlines we have today. We will be
- 28:03Speaker 2: preparing and digging in this week to get ramped up
- 28:08Speaker 2: for the very first episode of The Bachelorette, which will
- 28:11Speaker 2: be airing very soon, and also Bachelor in Paradise is filming,
- 28:16Speaker 2: and so we'll probably start getting some rumors some headlines
- 28:19Speaker 2: from that. It's going to be a good week, just
- 28:22Speaker 2: a little bit more time in the off season. It's
- 28:24Speaker 2: been a quick offseason, overly good offseason for us. Make
- 28:26Speaker 2: sure you go back and listen to past episodes of
- 28:29Speaker 2: Almost Famous og and also the interview with Jojo and Jordan.
- 28:34Speaker 2: But until next time, I've been Ben, I've been Ashley.
- 28:37Speaker 6: See huh.
- 28:38Speaker 1: Follow the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast on
