- 0:07[SPEAKER_00]: Jacksonville Jack Wars fans, welcome in to do well daily presented by Jen Jack.com.
- 0:10[SPEAKER_00]: I'm Jordan Aluga, thanks so much for being here Thursday, October 2nd, still in the middle of the week here, normally we are getting closer and closer to Jack Wars Sunday football, but the Jack Wars are hosting the chiefs on Monday night football this weekend.
- 0:26[SPEAKER_00]: Really the final game of the 20 25 week five slate for the NFL and it's gonna be exciting The Jaguar's gonna be wearing their prowlers are going up against the chiefs haven't beaten the chiefs and forever They really struggle on Monday night football the Jaguar's do so there's a lot to get into with that game But because today is kind of like wins day on a long week
- 0:48[SPEAKER_00]: We will hear from Liam Cohen and Trevor Lawrence later today hopefully get some more information about some injuries coming out of the win over the 49ers to get the Jaguars to 3 and 1
- 0:58[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to kind of do a little big picture look at the Jack Wars and their remaining schedule and talk about potential outcomes for the Jack Wars 2025 regular season, and where they might finish within the division, within the AFC, all that stuff.
- 1:17[SPEAKER_00]: Right now, if you look at the NFL standings, AFC standings,
- 1:24[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguars are currently tied for the division lead in the F.C.
- 1:28[SPEAKER_00]: South.
- 1:28[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguars and Colts are both 3 and 1.
- 1:31[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously the Jags and the Colts will play each other twice.
- 1:34[SPEAKER_00]: They also have a lot more divisional games.
- 1:38[SPEAKER_00]: Both teams do.
- 1:40[SPEAKER_00]: Both teams have five division games remaining including against each other twice.
- 1:45[SPEAKER_00]: So I think you look at the road ahead.
- 1:53[SPEAKER_00]: And you should feel pretty good if you're the Jaguar's overall.
- 1:56[SPEAKER_00]: Again, five divisional games left.
- 1:58[SPEAKER_00]: This is a team that should be able to win most of their divisional matchups.
- 2:02[SPEAKER_00]: But we're going to look at a pessimistic side.
- 2:05[SPEAKER_00]: And then my kind of...
- 2:09[SPEAKER_00]: realistic prediction of how I think the rest of the season is going to go for the jag wars.
- 2:14[SPEAKER_00]: So really appreciate y'all tuning in.
- 2:15[SPEAKER_00]: If you enjoy the content, please like and subscribe.
- 2:17[SPEAKER_00]: You can also check out gymjag.com slash shop pick up some new dov all gear, help support the channel.
- 2:22[SPEAKER_00]: Look good while doing it.
- 2:23[SPEAKER_00]: So the jags, their next game is obviously against the chiefs, they then host the sea hawks and then they go to London to host the rams and
- 2:33[SPEAKER_00]: It is a big deal plan over in London because this organization, even if Liam Cohen and James Gladstone are new to it, a lot of the people that are still here, including Tony Bicelli kind of know a little bit about this travel over there and the rams are having to travel a lot, a lot further to get there.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_00]: So it is a good thing for the jags in my opinion, as compared to the rams, I don't think it's a true home-piled advantage, but I do think it's some sort of
- 3:02[SPEAKER_00]: when I also think the jacks have a lot of fans over there.
- 3:05[SPEAKER_00]: So looking at this next three games, where the jack wars out, I think the jack wars are running the ball as good as just about anybody in the league.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_00]: They are playing complimentary football, as good as anyone in the league.
- 3:18[SPEAKER_00]: They're forcing turnovers, they're stopping the run on defense.
- 3:23[SPEAKER_00]: They are,
- 3:24[SPEAKER_00]: Playing a lot of different coverages on the back end, making it, you know, the coverage menu very difficult for quarterbacks and opposing coaches to figure out when you have such a diverse coverage, diverse amount of coverages you run at a high level, and then you also have, you know, whenever Trable Walker gets back, you have a really dominant front four.
- 3:45[SPEAKER_00]: Um, and then without travel on walker, you still have the ability to sim pressure, which means you're bringing them for, but you don't know where it's coming from, because there's all these guys mugged up at the line of scrimmage.
- 3:55[SPEAKER_00]: You got linebackers on the football, all these different things makes it difficult for opposing team.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_00]: So I think that they're doing a really good job on the defensive side of the ball.
- 4:02[SPEAKER_00]: I think running the ball is a bread and butter thing, and then
- 4:06[SPEAKER_00]: you need some improvement in the penalty department on offense, which will then help the passing game in my opinion.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_00]: I think you want to see a little bit higher play from Trevor Lawrence and from Brian Thomas Jr.
- 4:17[SPEAKER_00]: and Travis Hunter continued to get settled.
- 4:20[SPEAKER_00]: But really to me, a lot of that passing game will get a lot better once the penalties kind of subside and who knows when that will happen.
- 4:29[SPEAKER_00]: And then you also have special teams, which has been a little up and down.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_00]: after the last, I mean, Logan Cooks had had a big punt late in the game, but other than that, I think you want these guys to step up a little bit.
- 4:45[SPEAKER_00]: So, that's where the jag wars are at my opinion.
- 4:47[SPEAKER_00]: They're also a tough football team.
- 4:48[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think they're going to quit.
- 4:50[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think that they're going to lay down for anyone.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_00]: So, jag wars vs. Chiefs, Jag wars vs. Seahawks, Jag wars vs. Rams.
- 4:57[SPEAKER_00]: It's technically three straight at home games, but really the Rams game.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_00]: Not a home game.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's good that you're playing at home on a short week versus having to travel.
- 5:10[SPEAKER_00]: I think that the Jack Wars from a pessimistic point of view, you could say they'll go one and two in this stretch.
- 5:17[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's fair from a pessimistic point of view, and one and two would get them to
- 5:23[SPEAKER_00]: Four and three heading into their by week.
- 5:25[SPEAKER_00]: They have a by week following the Rams and London, and then they go out to Las Vegas to play the Raiders After that they're at Houston at home versus the Chargers and then at the Cardinals I think again pessimistic point of view would probably be two and two there the gyros are a better team than the Raiders They're a better team than the Texans, but playing in Houston
- 5:49[SPEAKER_00]: playing a division rival is going to want to beat you after what happened last time.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I could see folks saying the Jaguar should lose that game or could lose that game.
- 6:00[SPEAKER_00]: Versed Chargers, the Chargers are a good football team.
- 6:02[SPEAKER_00]: They just got their butt handed to them by the giant.
- 6:05[SPEAKER_00]: So that's that's tough one for them.
- 6:08[SPEAKER_00]: What we're going to have to see how they respond.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_00]: You would think with Jim Harbaugh, leading leading that group.
- 6:15[SPEAKER_00]: Justin Herbert that they'll respond well, then you have at cardinals.
- 6:19[SPEAKER_00]: The cardinals to me, the Jaguars are a better football team, but I think two and two in this stretch is a pessimistic realistic pessimistic outcome of how that could go versus those teams.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_00]: So going into that stretch if you're being again pessimistic, you're four and three and then you go two and two to get to
- 6:39[SPEAKER_00]: six and five heading into a stretch where you're at Tennessee at home against the cults versus the jets at home and then at the Broncos.
- 6:50[SPEAKER_00]: So
- 6:53[SPEAKER_00]: Again, pessimistically, I don't think the Jacks and the Titans belong on the same field this year.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_00]: I think the Jacks take care of the Titans.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguar has always beat the cults at home.
- 7:02[SPEAKER_00]: I don't expect that to end anytime soon.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguar is a very better team than the Jets.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_00]: So I think again, pessimistically here you're probably talking about three and one in this stretch.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_00]: maybe 2 and 2.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_00]: So let's say you go 2 and 2.
- 7:19[SPEAKER_00]: That gets you to 6 and 5.
- 7:23[SPEAKER_00]: So you're at 8 and 7 heading into the final 2 games and it's at Colts' first titans.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_00]: I think your absolute most pessimistic view of this is 98.
- 7:42[SPEAKER_00]: and that would be very disappointing, considering how things have gone.
- 7:45[SPEAKER_00]: But the Jaguars have like to go and I didn't really see years.
- 7:49[SPEAKER_00]: I do not think that this is your same old Jaguars.
- 7:52[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think that this Jaguars team is really comparable to anything we've ever seen in Jacksonville.
- 7:57[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not saying they're better than the teams from the 90s.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not saying that.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_00]: What I am saying is they're different.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_00]: They're a much different team.
- 8:06[SPEAKER_00]: They're different in the way that I think the mental side of things this is a really well-coached group I think it's a town to group as well but the mental strain that Liam Cohen's offense that Anthony Campanylei's defense puts on the opponent and that combined with their ability to teach to inspire confidence I think that that's a really strong recipe for success so I again
- 8:35[SPEAKER_00]: Most pessimistic, not including catastrophic injuries, I think nine and eight for the Jaguars.
- 8:44[SPEAKER_00]: My view on this thing is really much more optimistic than that.
- 8:50[SPEAKER_00]: I think that the Jaguars, I think they could very well go three and a little over this stretch, but a more realistic view.
- 8:57[SPEAKER_00]: This stretch I'm coming chief sea ox ramps is probably two and one.
- 9:02[SPEAKER_00]: I think that the Jaguars are a better team than the Seahawks, even though the Seahawks do have a really impressive defense, I think they're a more complete team than all of the teams they're about to play.
- 9:12[SPEAKER_00]: Now Patrick Mahomes, unbelievable, Steve Spagnolo, very difficult to deal with, Andy Reed, really smart offensive guy, the offensive line is better for the chiefs, they've got downfields speed now, but they're not running the ball all that well, their defense has been up and down a bit, I think the Jaguars have the recipe to win that game.
- 9:30[SPEAKER_00]: Again, Seahawks, I still don't really believe in Sam Darnold all that much, so we'll see.
- 9:38[SPEAKER_00]: Rams, they're a good team.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_00]: They're a good team, but I think the jacks have the advantage being technically at home for all three of those games.
- 9:45[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, we talked about the Rams in London, still think that's a little bit of an advantage.
- 9:49[SPEAKER_00]: So I think two and one to get to five and two.
- 9:53[SPEAKER_00]: and then head and out to play the Raiders after a buy.
- 9:56[SPEAKER_00]: That's a win for me, so six into Attexans.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_00]: Can the Jaguar sweep the Texans?
- 10:04[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think that absolutely can.
- 10:05[SPEAKER_00]: I think the game against the Texans last time.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_00]: should not have been as close as it was.
- 10:12[SPEAKER_00]: I think the Jack Wars know that and they're gonna handle business and they're gonna get to seven and two.
- 10:16[SPEAKER_00]: Verse Chargers at Cardinals, I'll have them going one and one, even though I think they're probably better than both of those teams.
- 10:22[SPEAKER_00]: It's too tough to us after facing a divisional opponent.
- 10:25[SPEAKER_00]: So we're gonna have that at one and one.
- 10:29[SPEAKER_00]: So you were seven and two right after taking down the the Texans one and one gets you to eight and three.
- 10:36[SPEAKER_00]: At Titans I have the Jaguar sweeping the Titans so that's going to get you to to nine and three right there versus Colts.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_00]: I think the Jaguar split with the cults.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_00]: So I'll give them the win at home to get to 10 and 3.
- 10:49[SPEAKER_00]: And I mean, this is an insane start here.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_00]: 10 and 3 on the season, geez, Louise.
- 10:54[SPEAKER_00]: Versus New York Jets, I'll give them that win as well 11 and 3.
- 10:57[SPEAKER_00]: At Broncos and at Colts, I'm gonna have them dropping both of those games because again, I have them splitting with the cults.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_00]: Broncos, I think the Jaguars are a better team right now.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_00]: But,
- 11:08[SPEAKER_00]: Sean Payton is a hell of a coach.
- 11:10[SPEAKER_00]: I think that they have a good group out there.
- 11:12[SPEAKER_00]: I think they'll be playing better football.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_00]: Then then they are now playing at Denver as a tough place to play.
- 11:18[SPEAKER_00]: I have seen the Jaguars win there, but it's not easy to do, especially with a really good defense that the Broncos should have late in the season.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_00]: So what we were at 11 and three.
- 11:31[SPEAKER_00]: Now 11 and five after two straight losses and then versus Titans.
- 11:36[SPEAKER_00]: that might be to seal a playoff spot to seal the division twelve and five jacksonville jag wars twenty twenty five that's where i'm at again i just strongly believe in the coaching staff and i was talking about this on club jag war last night but like
- 11:55[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't want to go overboard with my praise of the coaching staff prior to the season starting.
- 12:00[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I think y'all could tell I had some confidence in them, especially Liam Cohen and Anthony Campanylei's style of communication and teaching, but I had not seen Anthony Campanylei call a down much less a full game in the NFL as a defensive coordinator.
- 12:16[SPEAKER_00]: So I wanted to be somewhat
- 12:20[SPEAKER_00]: Just level headed about that even though everything I saw from his defense and saw from the way he was teaching and communicating did Give me some confidence in him so You combine everything I saw this off season this training camp the way they communicate not only with their players with each other, but with the media I felt really good about this coaching staff
- 12:45[SPEAKER_00]: and talent acquisition.
- 12:48[SPEAKER_00]: I feel really good about James Gladstone.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_00]: And then just the culture, they're tough, they're physical, they're not gonna quit, they're smart, they're communicative across the board.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_00]: I feel really good about this team.
- 13:06[SPEAKER_00]: And maybe it's full's gold, but usually the type of recipe that the Jaguar has have,
- 13:13[SPEAKER_00]: And everybody wants to say, oh, they're just turnover merchants on defense.
- 13:16[SPEAKER_00]: Well, they have been turnover merchants, but they've been forcing those turnovers.
- 13:19[SPEAKER_00]: It hasn't been luck.
- 13:20[SPEAKER_00]: It's been forcing turnovers.
- 13:22[SPEAKER_00]: And even if the turnovers do, uh, they're not going to dry up.
- 13:26[SPEAKER_00]: Not with this group.
- 13:27[SPEAKER_00]: They're not going to dry up.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_00]: But even if they aren't as prolific turning the football over on the defense side of the ball moving forward and they probably won't be, they're still a very good team against the run.
- 13:36[SPEAKER_00]: They're allowing 3.4 yards per carry to opposing running backs.
- 13:42[SPEAKER_00]: I think that they have the ability and coverage.
- 13:44[SPEAKER_00]: I think that they have the ability, again, with Anthony Camponele's game planning, confusing on the back end, confusing up front, marrying it all together.
- 13:55[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that the offense has a lot more potential.
- 13:57[SPEAKER_00]: And at the very least, they have a really good running gain.
- 14:01[SPEAKER_00]: You mitigate the penalties a little bit.
- 14:04[SPEAKER_00]: I think that by virtue of mitigating the penalties, the offensive passing game looks a lot better.
- 14:11[SPEAKER_00]: And then if you actually have some chemistry improvement between Trevor Lawrence and Brian Thomas Jr., which I think you saw steps in the right direction, then you're really cooking with gas.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_00]: So that's where I'm at.
- 14:23[SPEAKER_00]: Jacksonville Jaguars, I think they're going to finish the season 12 and 5, first place in the AFC South.
- 14:27[SPEAKER_00]: Where does that put them in the grand scheme of things in the AFC?
- 14:31[SPEAKER_00]: We can take a look at the standings right now.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_00]: The bills, I think they're cruising to first place in the AFC.
- 14:41[SPEAKER_00]: Steelers, I think, are probably going to be like a 10 and 17.
- 14:45[SPEAKER_00]: Make the playoffs and all likelihood.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_00]: The Bengals don't know how to feel yet.
- 14:49[SPEAKER_00]: I still think I'm not there with them and obviously Joe Burrow.
- 14:54[SPEAKER_00]: probably not going to be putting the bangles in the plavs.
- 14:58[SPEAKER_00]: Ravens can they get it together and sneak in at 1 and 3 maybe but I don't think they're going to finish with a better record than the Jaguars.
- 15:06[SPEAKER_00]: So again right now looking at all these teams I've only got the bills ahead of the Jaguars.
- 15:12[SPEAKER_00]: The Colts and the Jags, that's going to be fun.
- 15:14[SPEAKER_00]: I think the Jags are better than the Colts.
- 15:16[SPEAKER_00]: I think that that will be proven out over the course of the year.
- 15:19[SPEAKER_00]: But the Colts
- 15:23[SPEAKER_00]: They have talent at every level.
- 15:25[SPEAKER_00]: They finally have a good defensive coordinator.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sorry, I guess, Bradley, but they finally have a really good modern defensive coordinator and Luena Rumo, Shane Stecken, is a great offensive coach.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_00]: So I think, therefore, real, I don't really believe in Daniel Jones all that much.
- 15:38[SPEAKER_00]: I think everything has to continue to elevate him, but they've got a lot going there.
- 15:46[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think the Texans are going to come back from one in three.
- 15:48[SPEAKER_00]: I think they'll probably end up with a better than 250 winning percent in, right?
- 15:53[SPEAKER_00]: But I don't think they're pushing for the playoffs this year.
- 15:57[SPEAKER_00]: I just don't believe in the offensive infrastructure very much.
- 16:02[SPEAKER_00]: Chargers, they could definitely be competing with the jag wars up there.
- 16:06[SPEAKER_00]: The chief says, well, I don't think the Broncos are going to get that hot, but they could, they definitely could.
- 16:18[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, Chargers Chiefs Broncos, only one of those teams can finish ahead of the Jaguars if the Jaguars win their division, which is what I have them doing.
- 16:28[SPEAKER_00]: So, I have the Jags probably at worst third.
- 16:33[SPEAKER_00]: I think the Jags will finish higher in the standings than whoever wins the AFC North.
- 16:40[SPEAKER_00]: So, at worst third in the AFC.
- 16:44[SPEAKER_00]: I'm gonna watch all the things in the comment section below.
- 16:46[SPEAKER_00]: Really appreciate you being here.
- 16:48[SPEAKER_00]: y'all have a good one.
