• 0:04
Speaker 1: Greg and Carter from Bleacher Report. Guys, it's on record
• 0:07
Speaker 1: this is the most anticipated season in BYU history. All
• 0:10
Speaker 1: three of you are a huge reason why. AJ and Rob.
• 0:13
Speaker 1: You both had decisions to make that got you to provo.
• 0:16
Speaker 1: Obviously had plenty of opportunities. Rob, you were in this
• 0:18
Speaker 1: conference a year ago. Ultimately, what was the biggest thing
• 0:21
Speaker 1: that drew you to play for BYU this year?
• 0:25
Speaker 2: For me, it was really just Kevin Young, just him
• 0:28
Speaker 2: being from the NBA and coaches some of my favorite players,
• 0:31
Speaker 2: and then him telling me, like the program you had
• 0:33
Speaker 2: for me and what do you have for the team
• 0:34
Speaker 2: is kind of like a no brainer when I came
• 0:35
  Speaker 2: on my visit.
• 0:36
Speaker 3: For me, it was the environment and to fit, like
• 0:38
Speaker 3: he said, Coach Young, just to playing AA and a
• 0:41
Speaker 3: vision he had. I just felt like I could come
• 0:43
Speaker 3: in and make an impact.
• 0:44
Speaker 1: You've been on some great teams at BYU. What makes
• 0:47
Speaker 1: this year seem different?
• 0:48
Speaker 4: You know? I mean there's just so much talent all
• 0:49
Speaker 4: over the place. Yeah, it worked for us three percent here,
• 0:52
Speaker 4: but there's a whole whole team full of talent and
• 0:55
Speaker 4: guys that are willing to work in order to not
• 0:58
Speaker 4: only have this anticipation, but but crit successful it.
• 1:01
Speaker 5: So I gotta ask you, guys, I feel like everyone
• 1:03
Speaker 5: right now is talking about b YU basketball and the
• 1:06
Speaker 5: City of Provo more than they ever have, and a
• 1:08
Speaker 5: lot of that is because of what you know, you
• 1:10
Speaker 5: guys could possibly do this season. How do you, you know,
• 1:13
Speaker 5: stay focused on the mission ahead while also you know,
• 1:16
Speaker 5: just embracing the pressure and embracing the expectations that you
• 1:19
Speaker 5: have with your team.
• 1:20
Speaker 3: So well, okay, why is this saying just to say, like,
• 1:22
Speaker 3: keep stacking days and block out the noise. So I
• 1:25
Speaker 3: think we've all been doing a good job of just
• 1:26
Speaker 3: trying to block out the noise and not worry about
• 1:28
Speaker 3: the preseason rankings and all that. Just come in every
• 1:30
Speaker 3: day and try to work.
• 1:31
Speaker 1: Freshman of the Year race between you and and Kansas's DP,
• 1:34
Speaker 1: what's your relationship like with him? What are you looking
• 1:36
Speaker 1: forward to going up against him this year?
• 1:38
Speaker 2: Yeah, we want to go metal our freshman year. I mean,
• 1:41
Speaker 2: that's my guy. We playing at each other all throughout
• 1:43
Speaker 2: high school. I mean I'm not circling the game. I
• 1:45
Speaker 2: mean it's gonna be a big game for sure. They
• 1:46
Speaker 2: go anticipated for sure, but you go just go try
• 1:48
Speaker 2: to go in there win most definitely.
• 1:51
Speaker 5: All right, I gotta ask y'all who's on the OFX
• 1:53
Speaker 5: court in the locker room. I need to know it's
• 1:55
Speaker 5: a big game. We gotta hop on the offscre who's
• 1:58
Speaker 5: getting the chance to get, you know, set the move.
• 2:00
Speaker 2: These we we all got headphones, and we all got headphones.
• 2:06
Speaker 3: We start off with headphones. It just depends on the vibe.
• 2:09
Speaker 5: Is there anyone who's not allowed touch the haks cord
• 2:12
  Speaker 5: Tyler Rush?
• 2:17
Speaker 2: I hope he sees this.
• 2:19
Speaker 1: That's tough time, AJ. You're your content creator in your
• 2:22
Speaker 1: own like I've been subscribed to YouTube channel. What's next
• 2:26
Speaker 1: up on the blog?
• 2:27
Speaker 2: I mean, we actually missed out last It was supposed
• 2:29
Speaker 2: to be like a manager game between our like grat
• 2:31
Speaker 2: attistants and the girls Gratitisans. But they were ducking smoke
• 2:34
Speaker 2: because they claimed they had class on a Sunday. You
• 2:36
Speaker 2: don't have class on a Sunday.
• 2:37
Speaker 5: But it was fine, So I got to ask. Obviously,
• 2:40
Speaker 5: I spoke to the expectations that everyone else has for you.
• 2:43
Speaker 5: I know that you guys have high expectations for yourself.
• 2:45
Speaker 5: What do you want to look back on this season
• 2:47
Speaker 5: when you get to the end and say this was
• 2:49
Speaker 5: what b YU basketball was this year.
• 2:51
Speaker 2: I think we want to be crowned a champions, obviously
• 2:54
Speaker 2: Big twelve champions, and compete for the national title. I
• 2:56
Speaker 2: think with k going to the sweet sixteens first year,
• 2:59
Speaker 2: that should be the bare man him on for us
• 3:00
Speaker 2: this year you go far.
• 3:02
Speaker 1: So I'm paying attention to all BYU sports right now.
• 3:05
Speaker 1: Bear bachmeers kind of taking that city by star man. Yeah,
• 3:09
Speaker 1: what I mean, have you experienced like this community rally
• 3:12
Speaker 1: around him and obviously, I mean you're a freshman too,
• 3:14
Speaker 1: kind of YouTube coming in at the same time, it's
• 3:16
Speaker 1: been cool to see. I'm assuming, what's it like with
• 3:19
Speaker 1: the fan base rallying around that guy? And how does
• 3:21
Speaker 1: that translate to basketball this year?
• 3:22
Speaker 4: I mean, we go you gotta hear from your freshman.
• 3:24
Speaker 4: But all I'm gonna say is like this, like b
• 3:27
Speaker 4: y U all culmination, they love winning and they're gonna
• 3:30
Speaker 4: latch all win when people are winning.
• 3:33
  Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, it's just fun. I mean, obviously we're
• 3:35
Speaker 2: getting way more recognition. They signed Bear, they signed me,
• 3:37
Speaker 2: they signed number one volleyball player, soony, we just got
• 3:40
Speaker 2: a number on football career riding lines like, I mean,
• 3:42
Speaker 2: we're trying to upwards as for a reason.
• 3:44
Speaker 5: Yeah, everything's coming up, b Why you the summer feels
• 3:47
Speaker 5: like I need to know though, a lot of good
• 3:49
Speaker 5: defensive players in this league. Is there anybody that if
• 3:51
Speaker 5: you had a chance to dunk on put on a
• 3:53
Speaker 5: poster this year, who.
• 3:54
  Speaker 4: Would it be?
• 3:55
Speaker 5: Got a lot of Jojo Tugler so far, but I'm
• 3:57
Speaker 5: interested to see if y'all got anybody that's hard to do.
• 4:01
Speaker 4: It's hard to do.
• 4:02
  Speaker 5: That's been, that's been.
• 4:03
Speaker 1: It's just like I know from experience.
• 4:06
Speaker 2: Whoever, whoever the tallest center is in the conference. I
• 4:09
Speaker 2: don't know who it is, but wherever it is, okay,
• 4:11
  Speaker 2: all right?
• 4:12
Speaker 1: So I got a basketball role related question for you three.
• 4:14
Speaker 1: Each one of you three is a bucket. I've seen it,
• 4:17
Speaker 1: I've watched. I'm fans of each of you individually, and
• 4:20
Speaker 1: I think your guys' roles and how you fit together.
• 4:22
Speaker 1: It is one of the biggest questions coming into the season.
• 4:24
Speaker 1: Thaie game, ten seconds left? Which one of you three
• 4:27
Speaker 1: has the ball? What do we need?
• 4:29
Speaker 3: How want you down?
• 4:31
  Speaker 4: Thai game?
• 4:32
Speaker 2: It depends on It depends on the game. Rob got
• 4:35
Speaker 2: it going, he got it, Richie has going, he got if,
• 4:38
Speaker 2: I have got it.
• 4:40
Speaker 4: It's hard to regard these two, especially robbing open space and.
• 4:43
Speaker 1: Roll feed the high hand. Basically, yeah, okay, a team
• 4:47
  Speaker 1: of three options.
• 4:48
Speaker 5: Some teams don't have three options.
• 4:49
Speaker 1: Three first options. In my mind, I love it all right, guys,
• 4:52
Speaker 1: Thank you, we appreciate it. I'm looking so forward to
• 4:54
Speaker 1: watching you guys this year. Best of love, thank you,
• 4:56
  Speaker 1: appreciate that.
