- 0:00SPEAKER_00: God bless you.
- 0:02SPEAKER_00: Welcome to the secret place with Pastor Millie, a place where we draw closer to God, hear his voice, and allow his word to transform our hearts.
- 0:14SPEAKER_00: Thank you for coming here one more night, one more day.
- 0:19SPEAKER_00: I thank you for being here and tuning in with me as we get our mind away from this loud noise of this world, and we can focus on what the Lord has to say today.
- 0:32SPEAKER_00: And today's word will be on the book of Proverbs, chapter 4, verse 23.
- 0:38SPEAKER_00: It says, Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.
- 0:46SPEAKER_00: Wow.
- 0:46SPEAKER_00: You know, guard your heart.
- 0:49SPEAKER_00: How many of us we love so hard?
- 0:52SPEAKER_00: We we we want to do things so good, and sometimes it turns out that you become heartbroken.
- 1:01SPEAKER_00: That's why the word says, above all other things, guard your heart.
- 1:06SPEAKER_00: You know, a lot of people say, Well, I follow my heart, but yet again, the heart is the most deceiving organ that you have.
- 1:16SPEAKER_00: And the Bible says, from the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks, which means that sometimes you gotta guard your heart.
- 1:26SPEAKER_00: Well, at all times, because from it flows life.
- 1:29SPEAKER_00: When you are heartbroken, you can act different, it will paralyze you, it will paralyze your walk, you start thinking so much, you start visualizing so much, you start feeling sorry for yourself, and before you know, when you start speaking, the abundance that comes out of your mouth, is it good or is it bad?
- 1:51SPEAKER_00: We have to be very, very careful with that.
- 1:54SPEAKER_00: Having a loving heart does not mean giving everyone unlimited access to your life.
- 2:01SPEAKER_00: Doesn't mean just because you have a loving heart, you have to let everyone in.
- 2:06SPEAKER_00: You have to trust everyone into your life.
- 2:09SPEAKER_00: You have to be very, very careful with that.
- 2:12SPEAKER_00: We see that as the greatest example.
- 2:14SPEAKER_00: For example, Jesus.
- 2:16SPEAKER_00: Jesus loved people deeply, but he also knew when to withdraw, when to be silent, and who belong in his closest circle.
- 2:26SPEAKER_00: The same thing with us.
- 2:27SPEAKER_00: You have to know when to be silent, and you have to withdraw from certain people, but you also got to know who belongs in your closest circle.
- 2:38SPEAKER_00: Sometimes we tolerate things, we tolerate behaviors, we tolerate so much nonsense, all because of the heart, because our emotions lead us to a place where then we feel heartbroken.
- 2:53SPEAKER_00: We have to think this way.
- 2:55SPEAKER_00: Even Jesus left us the greatest example, letting us know to guard our hearts at all times.
- 3:03SPEAKER_00: Boundaries are not bitterness, boundaries can be wisdom.
- 3:07SPEAKER_00: You can forgive someone and still recognize that trust needs to be rebuilt.
- 3:14SPEAKER_00: You can love someone, you can be with someone, but you also gotta understand that trust needs to be rebuilt.
- 3:23SPEAKER_00: Someone that hurts you, that trust gotta be rebuilt.
- 3:27SPEAKER_00: Forgiveness can be given.
- 3:29SPEAKER_00: Access is something that should be handled with discernment.
- 3:34SPEAKER_00: That's the that's one thing that many people don't understand.
- 3:38SPEAKER_00: You have to pray.
- 3:39SPEAKER_00: Pray.
- 3:40SPEAKER_00: What is prayer?
- 3:41SPEAKER_00: Talking to God, allowing God to know that you're a pouring out to him every time you talk to God.
- 3:49SPEAKER_00: It doesn't have to be a big prayer.
- 3:52SPEAKER_00: Talk to God like your buddy, like your friend, your best friend.
- 3:56SPEAKER_00: Allow him into your heart and let him know what is bothering you, what is making you feel sad today, what is making you feel like you can't go on.
- 4:07SPEAKER_00: Pay attention to what relationships produce in you.
- 4:12SPEAKER_00: Pay attention.
- 4:13SPEAKER_00: What relationships produce in you?
- 4:16SPEAKER_00: The person you're with, how do they make you feel?
- 4:19SPEAKER_00: The persons that are in your circle, how do they make you feel?
- 4:24SPEAKER_00: The people that you know, the people that you associate with, how do they make you feel?
- 4:30SPEAKER_00: Because sometimes people you associate with can make you feel negative because they're constantly negative, they can make you feel overwhelmed because they constantly gossiping and declaring negativity instead of declaring positivity.
- 4:47SPEAKER_00: So you have to know who is the one that produced goodness in your life and who is not producing goodness in your life.
- 4:55SPEAKER_00: Do they encourage your faith, your character, and calling?
- 5:00SPEAKER_00: Because I believe each and every one of us have a calling, but sometimes we're listening to the noise of this world.
- 5:07SPEAKER_00: We're connected to so many different characters, so many different people, people that are negative, that no matter how much you try, they're very negative.
- 5:18SPEAKER_00: People that are gossipers, that they join together, and all they do is talk and talk, and that does not produce wisdom.
- 5:28SPEAKER_00: That makes you feel, that makes you feel like, uh, why, Lord?
- 5:33SPEAKER_00: Why do they encourage your faith?
- 5:36SPEAKER_00: Do they pray for you?
- 5:37SPEAKER_00: Do they encourage your character because you see the godly character in them, you see the difference in them.
- 5:45SPEAKER_00: Then when you're with them, you want to be with them even more because they got something that you want.
- 5:51SPEAKER_00: They have that word, they have that wisdom, they have that discernment, something about that person that makes you want more and more.
- 6:01SPEAKER_00: But you, you know, the word of God says we will know the truth, and the truth will make us free.
- 6:06SPEAKER_00: We know the truth of many things, but sometimes because of our emotions, because of our love, because of our heart, we follow in, and before you know it, we become more hurt.
- 6:19SPEAKER_00: So we have to be very careful with that.
- 6:22SPEAKER_00: Pay attention to what relationships produce in you.
- 6:26SPEAKER_00: And like I said, do they encourage your faith or your character and your calling?
- 6:32SPEAKER_00: Do they tell you, do they build you up by telling you, listen, you got this.
- 6:38SPEAKER_00: Listen, God has so much in store for you.
- 6:41SPEAKER_00: Listen, turn to God, pray, or allow me to pray for you.
- 6:46SPEAKER_00: Because some people don't carry those godly instants, and before you know it, you associate with them, and life is different.
- 6:54SPEAKER_00: It's funny because for those who are serving God and seeking God and separating for God and living a different life for the world is foolishness, but for us, we know that it's power, power of God.
- 7:08SPEAKER_00: You know, they may say, Oh, you're living in a cult, oh, you're living in a life.
- 7:14SPEAKER_00: No, I'm living in a life that's righteous, I'm living in a life that is worth living.
- 7:20SPEAKER_00: I'm living in a life that I know is me and God.
- 7:23SPEAKER_00: And if one day I shall die, I know where I'm going.
- 7:27SPEAKER_00: That's what we got to think about.
- 7:29SPEAKER_00: We gotta think ahead.
- 7:31SPEAKER_00: If you were to die tonight, are you sure where you're going?
- 7:35SPEAKER_00: That's what we gotta think.
- 7:37SPEAKER_00: You see, in the Bible, we see that there were so many issues.
- 7:41SPEAKER_00: Issues with family members, issues with friends, issues of all kinds.
- 7:46SPEAKER_00: But at the end of the day, God is telling us, pick up your cross.
- 7:51SPEAKER_00: You want to be a believer?
- 7:53SPEAKER_00: Follow me.
- 7:54SPEAKER_00: Come on, follow me.
- 7:56SPEAKER_00: Pick up your cross, deny yourself, and follow me.
- 7:59SPEAKER_00: Picking up your cross is not easy.
- 8:02SPEAKER_00: Picking up your cross is not, it's not something many people want to do.
- 8:06SPEAKER_00: Follow God.
- 8:08SPEAKER_00: Don't follow no one.
- 8:09SPEAKER_00: Follow God.
- 8:10SPEAKER_00: At the end of the day, it is you and God.
- 8:14SPEAKER_00: So at the end of the day, think about it.
- 8:18SPEAKER_00: The people that you associate with, do they constantly pull you into confusion, gossip, fear, or unnecessary drama?
- 8:29SPEAKER_00: Sometimes we live a life all nervous, all worked up, all feeling like we can't no more.
- 8:36SPEAKER_00: Why?
- 8:37SPEAKER_00: Because we associate with people that all they do is talk, talk, talk, criticize, talk, gossip nonstop.
- 8:46SPEAKER_00: That is not a seed that will bless your life.
- 8:49SPEAKER_00: That is something that will literally curse your life slowly and shortly.
- 8:55SPEAKER_00: Sometimes we gotta do changes because those changes are the only the only ones that are gonna make us feel we can go on is through the changes of life.
- 9:06SPEAKER_00: Ask God for discernment instead of suspicion.
- 9:11SPEAKER_00: We do not need to become afraid of people.
- 9:13SPEAKER_00: We simply need wisdom about who receives influence over our hearts.
- 9:20SPEAKER_00: Who are you giving your time to?
- 9:22SPEAKER_00: Who are you pouring your heart, your heart out to?
- 9:26SPEAKER_00: And if you find yourself feeling, wait a minute, every time I see this person, every time I associate with this person, every time I try to do my best, for some reason this person is negative.
- 9:39SPEAKER_00: I don't care who they are, it doesn't matter who they are.
- 9:44SPEAKER_00: What matters is what God says.
- 9:47SPEAKER_00: Whatever does not bless you curses you.
- 9:50SPEAKER_00: Whatever does not make you feel good makes you feel bad.
- 9:54SPEAKER_00: So sometimes the way we can handle situations like this is cutting loose, cutting loose, cutting loose.
- 10:02SPEAKER_00: And cutting loose may hurt, but I promise you that in time you will say this is the best thing I ever did.
- 10:08SPEAKER_00: Because at the end of the day, and I'm talking to someone here today, at the end of the day, it will only be you and God.
- 10:15SPEAKER_00: I always said people cannot be with you 24-7, but God will.
- 10:21SPEAKER_00: People cannot stay with you 24-7, but God will.
- 10:30SPEAKER_00: So starting now, choose your friends wisely, choose who you associate with wisely, and I don't care what title they hold in your life.
- 10:43SPEAKER_00: What matters is that you choose with wisdom because God did not create you to be in constant depression, to be in constant anxiety, to be in constant agony, because you open your heart and you're constantly getting hurt.
- 11:03SPEAKER_00: I believe that God is talking to someone here today, and I want to say this prayer for you.
- 11:10SPEAKER_00: Father God, in the mighty name of Jesus, I come to you tonight, Lord.
- 11:14SPEAKER_00: Let this word, Father God, take root in someone's life today, Lord.
- 11:19SPEAKER_00: Touch their hearts, Lord.
- 11:21SPEAKER_00: Touch their mind, mighty God.
- 11:24SPEAKER_00: Allow them to see, Father God, that you created them for greatness, Father God.
- 11:29SPEAKER_00: Father God, keep their hearts soft, but give them wisdom with access and trust, Father God.
- 11:36SPEAKER_00: Help them love people without abandoning healthy boundaries, Lord.
- 11:41SPEAKER_00: Father God, because sometimes we neglect ourselves to please others.
- 11:47SPEAKER_00: And the main thing is, Father God, pleasing you so we are able to distinguish who is who in our life and we are able to know the truth.
- 11:58SPEAKER_00: Father God, bless the person hearing this message tonight and allow them, Father God, to continue seeking you wholeheartedly, Father God.
- 12:10SPEAKER_00: Not halfway, but wholeheartedly, Father God.
- 12:13SPEAKER_00: I bless your life in Jesus' mighty name and thank you for tuning in.
- 12:19SPEAKER_00: God bless you, and I'll see you next time with another word that will bless your life.
- 12:25SPEAKER_00: God bless.
