- 0:00SPEAKER_01: Okay, guys.
- 0:04SPEAKER_01: We're having to uh punt.
- 0:06SPEAKER_01: We're we're we got technical difficulties tonight, so you're gonna have to.
- 0:10SPEAKER_01: I'm sorry, we're not able to mirror on the TV screen, okay?
- 0:14SPEAKER_01: It's just what it is, so we're gonna wing it.
- 0:16SPEAKER_01: Story of my life.
- 0:18SPEAKER_01: No big deal.
- 0:20SPEAKER_01: Alright, well let's let's pray and we'll get we'll get started, okay?
- 0:26SPEAKER_01: God, we bow before you thank you for the night that you've given us to study your word, to come together as a group.
- 0:33SPEAKER_01: We ask you, Holy Spirit, to give us understanding, and you are most welcome in our place.
- 0:41SPEAKER_01: We ask you to work amongst us the only way that you can, and that you would give us design revelation into your word.
- 0:49SPEAKER_01: And so we thank you for this study and we pray that you'd bless it.
- 0:52SPEAKER_01: In your name we pray.
- 0:53SPEAKER_01: Amen.
- 0:55SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 0:56SPEAKER_01: So this is next man up, Ian's not here tonight.
- 1:01SPEAKER_01: So you guys, everybody get to go through the lesson this week.
- 1:06SPEAKER_01: All right, good.
- 1:08SPEAKER_01: Maybe more than once.
- 1:12SPEAKER_01: Let's let's let's let's kind of get get our bearings back where we're at.
- 1:17SPEAKER_01: And so this is a quite a fun lesson for me, this one.
- 1:24SPEAKER_01: But let's talk about where we are.
- 1:26SPEAKER_01: So, what we've talked about, and you guys are gonna have to take my word for it since I've I'm controlling you don't have a screen here.
- 1:34SPEAKER_01: What did we say the time that we're in right now, as far as history goes?
- 1:40SPEAKER_01: And then what's the other age we're in?
- 1:43SPEAKER_01: We're in the time of the Gentiles, and we're also in the age of the church.
- 1:47SPEAKER_01: And as we've been studying last week, we got in the last couple of weeks that we've been working on, where are we at now in this timeline?
- 1:59SPEAKER_01: We're at the end of the church age.
- 2:01SPEAKER_01: All right.
- 2:04SPEAKER_01: Okay, so if you guys remember back to your Daniel study, which is we said that's important for setting us up where we're at.
- 2:13SPEAKER_01: How many years of judgment for the gent for the Jews?
- 2:18SPEAKER_01: How many years?
- 2:21SPEAKER_01: 490, right?
- 2:23SPEAKER_01: And how many have already taken place?
- 2:26unknown: 483.
- 2:28SPEAKER_01: 483.
- 2:29SPEAKER_01: So we're still short seven years of judgment, correct?
- 2:33SPEAKER_01: Alright, so that's that's important for us to understand.
- 2:35SPEAKER_01: We are.
- 2:36SPEAKER_01: So we're gonna talk about as we are chapter in chapter four today, but really four and five are transition chapters that take us into what we would say the the period that we're gonna talk about tonight.
- 2:52SPEAKER_01: And so we're getting ready set up for this last seven years.
- 2:55SPEAKER_01: So we talked about what we what John saw was chapter one, correct?
- 3:00SPEAKER_01: Chapter two and three was talking about the things that are, and then after three.
- 3:10SPEAKER_01: That's right, the things to come, the things after, and that's what we're setting up for.
- 3:15SPEAKER_01: So, this seven years that's left, we want to set this up to start off with is what are these seven years that are left?
- 3:24SPEAKER_01: And it's described in quite a few places in the Old and the New Testament, which is interesting.
- 3:34SPEAKER_01: And this time that we're talking about is given different names.
- 3:42SPEAKER_01: And in Malachi 4, it's called the great and terrible day of the Lord.
- 3:48SPEAKER_01: It's also called the day of vengeance in Isaiah 34.8, it's called the day of wrath in Zephaniah 1.15, the year of recompense in Isaiah 34.8, day of darkness, Joel 2.2, the day of Jehovah, Joel 1.15.
- 4:07SPEAKER_01: So, most people, when we talk about that last seven years, what do you, when your mind you think, what do you think in your mind what it's called?
- 4:16unknown: Tribulation.
- 4:17SPEAKER_01: The tribulation.
- 4:18SPEAKER_01: It interestingly enough, where it's called the tribulation is in the Old Testament.
- 4:24SPEAKER_01: And you guys saw that in your study.
- 4:26SPEAKER_01: That's in Deuteronomy 4.30.
- 4:29SPEAKER_01: And so, what is a tribulation?
- 4:32SPEAKER_01: It's uh comes out of the Hebrew root meaning and a meaning to compress or constrict.
- 4:40SPEAKER_01: So that'll give you an idea of what's coming.
- 4:43SPEAKER_01: This seven years is going to be a time of compression and constricting.
- 4:48SPEAKER_01: And of course, we know it is to be, and I'm going to give you some verses here, and we'll look at some of this.
- 4:56SPEAKER_01: Uh, you know, some people call it, it could be called the time of the Lord, but we call it the day of the Lord, and we a lot of people they think, well, is that a day?
- 5:04SPEAKER_01: No.
- 5:04SPEAKER_01: If you as we study through it, you'll see that it is a period of time.
- 5:09SPEAKER_01: Seven years to be exact.
- 5:11SPEAKER_01: 2 Peter 3, 10.
- 5:14SPEAKER_01: But the day of the Lord will come like a thief in which the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and the earth and its works will be burned up.
- 5:27SPEAKER_01: Sounds pretty serious, doesn't it?
- 5:30SPEAKER_01: And so this time, and one of the things that really has always hit with me is it's called the time of Jacob's trouble.
- 5:42SPEAKER_01: Would that tell you something?
- 5:44SPEAKER_01: What would that tell you?
- 5:46SPEAKER_01: It's for Israel, right?
- 5:49SPEAKER_01: And and then I want to bring you, come back, and I'm sorry you guys can't can't see this on the screen what we're looking at.
- 5:55SPEAKER_01: But the day of the Lord.
- 5:56SPEAKER_01: Now look, what did we say that one of the things that's going to end the time of the of the time of the Gentiles?
- 6:06SPEAKER_01: What's going to end to the time of the Gentiles?
- 6:09SPEAKER_03: Israel will be brought back together.
- 6:13SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 6:14SPEAKER_01: Then let's see what the scripture says, all that that takes place.
- 6:17SPEAKER_01: So if you take Daniel 9 24, and this is what you guys we talked about last week, 70 weeks have been decreed for your people and your holy city.
- 6:28SPEAKER_01: And now for what?
- 6:29SPEAKER_01: To finish the transgression.
- 6:31SPEAKER_01: That'd be the judgment, right?
- 6:33SPEAKER_01: To make an end to sin, to make atonement for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and anoint the most holy place.
- 6:48SPEAKER_01: Now, what's going to have to take place for that to happen?
- 6:52SPEAKER_01: Well, the rapture's not going to do it.
- 6:54SPEAKER_07: That's that's the end of the Gentiles.
- 6:57SPEAKER_01: No, it's not.
- 6:58SPEAKER_01: The end of the Gentiles is what do we say?
- 7:01SPEAKER_01: No, to know when we're in the Gentiles, what do we say that we had to be to be in the in the time of the Gentiles?
- 7:06SPEAKER_01: What is it?
- 7:10SPEAKER_01: Huh?
- 7:12SPEAKER_01: Jews scattered, Jerusalem trampled, and Israel not controlling their land.
- 7:20SPEAKER_01: Now that's not going to happen until we get to the end of the tribulation period.
- 7:25SPEAKER_01: It's not going to happen at the rapture, because that's when the seven years are going to be under judgment.
- 7:30SPEAKER_01: So we're not, and I used to think the same way.
- 7:32SPEAKER_01: I used to think the time of the Gentiles is when the last person, you know, before the rapture happened, and that was the end of the Gentiles.
- 7:39SPEAKER_01: It's not.
- 7:40SPEAKER_01: Until we get those three things taken care of that I said of talked about, the Gentiles' time is not finished.
- 7:47SPEAKER_01: So it won't be finished until the end of the tribulation.
- 7:50SPEAKER_01: Now, what's going to happen?
- 7:52SPEAKER_01: The end of the tribulation.
- 7:53SPEAKER_01: We know that the only way that we're going to get to these things all taken care of that I just mentioned is for Israel to come back to their homeland to be saved and the judgment to be done.
- 8:03SPEAKER_01: So that's what we're going to be looking for for the time of the Gentiles to be completed.
- 8:07SPEAKER_01: So we're going to be looking at, and I guess I'm just going to have to read you the verses here, because, and I'm again I'm I'm sorry to.
- 8:17SPEAKER_01: But we're I want to uh I don't have a couple of verses right here in front of me, so look, who's got their Bible right up here on the front?
- 8:25SPEAKER_01: Anybody?
- 8:26SPEAKER_01: You got your Bible right there?
- 8:29SPEAKER_01: Huh?
- 8:30SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I can't read it because my Okay, well look, I'm gonna read the first four verses, and then I'm gonna let somebody over here read the last two because I want to read through six.
- 8:40SPEAKER_01: Okay?
- 8:40SPEAKER_01: I'll read through the first four verses here.
- 8:44SPEAKER_01: Now keep in mind when we start off after these things.
- 8:48SPEAKER_01: And when he's saying after these things, what is he saying?
- 8:52SPEAKER_01: After the church age.
- 8:54SPEAKER_01: We've been in the church age, and we said the church age is one hundred percent of the time of the church that we talked about, chapters two and three.
- 9:04SPEAKER_01: A hundred percent of the church.
- 9:05SPEAKER_01: Remember that we talked about that?
- 9:07SPEAKER_01: It's a hundred percent.
- 9:08SPEAKER_01: So it when the church age, it said, after these things, remember the outline?
- 9:13SPEAKER_01: Things that I saw, things that are, and the things that are in the future, the things after these things.
- 9:20SPEAKER_01: Right here it is to tell us that we're headed to the last part.
- 9:23SPEAKER_01: After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven, and the first voice which I had heard, like the sound of a trumpet, speaking with me, saying, Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after these things.
- 9:38SPEAKER_01: Says it again, after these things.
- 9:41SPEAKER_01: That that should give us some pretty clues, a pretty good clue of where we're headed.
- 9:46SPEAKER_01: So, this trumpet, the voice, is the same voice, sound like chapter one, right?
- 9:52SPEAKER_01: Remember chapter one talked about I hear a voice like a trumpet speaking to me.
- 9:57SPEAKER_01: Sounds to me like he's again got this surround sound going.
- 10:00SPEAKER_01: We said that, you know, John is told to write down what he sees.
- 10:06SPEAKER_01: So he is in this incredible IMAX theater.
- 10:10SPEAKER_01: If y'all went to a movie and they have this Dolby sound that comes out before the movie comes on, you hear all that sound coming around you, ooh.
- 10:17SPEAKER_01: Well, that's kind of what I I kind of get in my mind, what John has got all this sound and he's got this incredible vision, and he's he's he's kind of he's really kind of smoked.
- 10:29SPEAKER_01: I mean, it's it's it's mind-boggling what he's seeing, but he's told, not I'm not telling you what to say, I'm just telling you to write down what you see, and sometimes that's why it makes it difficult for us, so we have so many symbols.
- 10:43SPEAKER_01: So this trumpet makes a sound and explicitly to show him what must take place after these things, confirming the scene follows the church age.
- 10:56SPEAKER_01: The Father appears.
- 10:58SPEAKER_01: Now let me let me come back to our scripture that we talked about.
- 11:02SPEAKER_01: So he says, Come up here, I'll show you what must take place after these things.
- 11:06SPEAKER_01: Immediately I was in the Spirit, and behold, a throne was was standing in heaven, and one sitting on the throne.
- 11:15SPEAKER_01: And he who was sitting was like a jasper stone and a Sardis in appearance, and there was a rainbow around the throne, like an emerald in appearance.
- 11:24SPEAKER_01: Around the throne were twenty-four thrones, and upon the thrones I saw twenty-four elders sitting, clothed in white garments and golden crowns on their heads.
- 11:34SPEAKER_01: All right, over there you got to read verse five and six for us.
- 11:37SPEAKER_01: You want to read it?
- 11:39SPEAKER_01: Yeah, go ahead.
- 11:40SPEAKER_05: And out of the throne proceeds lightning and thundering and voices, and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven spirits of God.
- 11:53SPEAKER_05: And before the throne there was a sea of glass, like unto crystal, and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne were four beasts full of eyes before and behind.
- 12:05SPEAKER_01: Alright, so where are we at in this vision right here?
- 12:08SPEAKER_01: What is he seeing right now?
- 12:12SPEAKER_01: The throne room of God, right?
- 12:13SPEAKER_01: He's taken up to the throne room of God.
- 12:15SPEAKER_01: Now, where do we have other other uh uh scripture that talks about the same place?
- 12:23SPEAKER_01: Anybody know?
- 12:25SPEAKER_01: Ezekiel, also Isaiah 6.
- 12:28SPEAKER_01: And we talked about that also in Daniel.
- 12:30SPEAKER_01: Remember, we talked about this in Daniel, you'll get almost the same, a very similar look, but this is probably the most picturesque of what heaven's like, this throne room.
- 12:41SPEAKER_01: And you when you see this throne room, goodness, he's saying, Look, I I saw this Jasper stone and Sardis in appearance.
- 12:49SPEAKER_01: Jardis, Jasper Stone would be like diamonds.
- 12:54SPEAKER_01: He's got diamonds and Sardis would be red.
- 12:57SPEAKER_01: So this, can you imagine this is kind of like a fiery, bright exuberance around the throne.
- 13:05SPEAKER_01: And it also says there's a rainbow around the throne.
- 13:08SPEAKER_01: So, man, there's a lot going on right here.
- 13:11SPEAKER_01: And so, John in this throne room, and this is interesting what he sees besides this.
- 13:18SPEAKER_01: So, look, this is interesting.
- 13:20SPEAKER_01: It says this prepared vision, not his literal form, since no one has seen the Father.
- 13:24SPEAKER_01: So there's a form and doesn't tell us what it is, but he's seeing something that makes him think it's God Almighty.
- 13:32SPEAKER_01: You know, in chapter 4 here, we're seeing the Creator God in this.
- 13:37SPEAKER_01: And so he is seeing this.
- 13:40SPEAKER_01: Now, what does he see that's in this throne room?
- 13:44SPEAKER_01: All right, he sees twenty-four thrones, and upon the thrones he sees twenty-four elders sitting, clothed in white garments and golden crowns on their head.
- 13:56SPEAKER_01: Now, this is different than the other examples of what where we see in in uh Ezekiel and also in Daniel.
- 14:05SPEAKER_01: What is the difference at the throne room than what we have in in Daniel 7 and what is also different in Ezekiel and Isaiah?
- 14:15SPEAKER_01: These elders.
- 14:17SPEAKER_01: Now, this must be something that we have we haven't seen before.
- 14:24SPEAKER_01: These appear to be, when we talk about elders, what do we normally talk about when we see elders?
- 14:31SPEAKER_01: These are leaders of the church, right?
- 14:34SPEAKER_01: So these are the best that I can come in my conclusion is these are human beings that are at the throne room of God, which we do not see that before at any time when we see any pictures of heaven.
- 14:46SPEAKER_01: So we've got something new here that we haven't seen before.
- 14:50SPEAKER_01: Now, we also you handed out some scriptures, right, Mark?
- 14:55SPEAKER_01: Who's got, because I want you guys to read some of these scriptures that we're looking at right here.
- 15:00SPEAKER_01: So when we see these 24 elders, now keep in mind, they are on thrones.
- 15:08SPEAKER_01: Not on God's thrones.
- 15:11SPEAKER_01: They're on their own thrones.
- 15:14SPEAKER_01: They're robed in white, they're crowned, and this is the first time elders appear in any throne room, vision in Scripture.
- 15:24SPEAKER_01: So as I said, we don't see them in any others.
- 15:27SPEAKER_01: White garments picture Christ imputed righteousness received by faith, and as taught earlier at Sardis, the saints' own righteous works.
- 15:37SPEAKER_01: Thrones picture ruling authorities granted to believers, crowns, and we're going to look at that in a minute.
- 15:44SPEAKER_01: Crown Stephanos is when you've, if you've done any study, Stephanos, it's a victor's crown.
- 15:49SPEAKER_01: It's like what the back when they had the Olympics, that's what they would have, someone setting on a what they called a beam of seat, beam a seat judgment.
- 15:58SPEAKER_01: You've heard that's what this judgment is, beam a seat judgment, and they are giving out crowns to the victors.
- 16:04SPEAKER_01: So these elders evidently have victorious crowns, and they re picture their pictures of rewards for service.
- 16:13SPEAKER_01: Now, these twelve pictures, governmental leadership.
- 16:18SPEAKER_01: Now keep in mind, you know, we talked about seven before, right?
- 16:21SPEAKER_01: Seven being a hundred percent or complete, but twelve, what is twelve?
- 16:26SPEAKER_01: When you think about twelve, what does that represent?
- 16:30SPEAKER_01: Government.
- 16:31SPEAKER_01: So you we have twelve tribes of Israel.
- 16:36SPEAKER_01: We have twelve apostles, we have twelve months that rule the year.
- 16:41SPEAKER_01: So this gives us a picture.
- 16:43SPEAKER_01: Now look, twelve normally means government, but we have twenty-four, which tells us double.
- 16:49SPEAKER_01: Now that's going to give us some under, I think, some understanding here a minute of what that means, and it is complete for the whole church across these 2,000 years that we have been talking about in this church age.
- 17:04SPEAKER_01: So, not the seven, it's deliberate change.
- 17:08SPEAKER_01: And so, Stephen, when we go through, if you guys just went through the study, he wanted to make sure you understood these 24 means it's double double.
- 17:17SPEAKER_01: That means complete, and and hopefully we're gonna bring the conclusion that the whole church is here before this throne room.
- 17:25SPEAKER_01: We're seeing 24 that represents the rulers, the governors.
- 17:30SPEAKER_01: And of course, there's going to be many more of them.
- 17:32SPEAKER_01: This is just a representation.
- 17:34SPEAKER_01: So we also, and I had you read there in five, the seven spirits of I want to read some of these scriptures just to kind of back this up.
- 17:42SPEAKER_01: Who's got 2 Corinthians 5 21?
- 17:44SPEAKER_00: I do.
- 17:45SPEAKER_01: Alright.
- 17:46SPEAKER_00: For they have made him to be sin for us.
- 17:51SPEAKER_00: Who knew no sin?
- 17:54SPEAKER_00: That we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
- 17:59SPEAKER_01: Alright, the righteousness.
- 18:01SPEAKER_01: That's that's those white white robes that they're wearing.
- 18:03SPEAKER_01: Who's got Galatians 3 27?
- 18:08SPEAKER_01: Someone got that?
- 18:10SPEAKER_01: Alright, who's got Revelation 19.8?
- 18:13SPEAKER_08: I do.
- 18:15SPEAKER_08: As many of you as have been baptized unto Christ, have put on Christ.
- 18:22SPEAKER_01: Put on Christ, the righteousness of Christ.
- 18:24SPEAKER_01: That's again, we're seeing what these men look like in heaven.
- 18:27SPEAKER_01: Who's got the next one?
- 18:28SPEAKER_01: The 19th.
- 18:29SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 18:30SPEAKER_08: It says, and to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white, for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.
- 18:39SPEAKER_01: And who's he speaking about?
- 18:41SPEAKER_01: The church.
- 18:42SPEAKER_01: The church, the bride.
- 18:45SPEAKER_01: Here's a representation again, what we're seeing in chapter 4 of the church.
- 18:50SPEAKER_01: Okay, who has Luke 22, 28 and 30?
- 18:55unknown: Me.
- 18:55SPEAKER_01: Alright.
- 18:57SPEAKER_02: Ye are they which have continued with me in my temptations, and I appoint unto you a kingdom as my father hath appointed unto me, that you may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
- 19:15SPEAKER_01: Alright, does that give you a good picture again?
- 19:17SPEAKER_01: They're sitting on thrones.
- 19:20SPEAKER_01: Alright.
- 19:21SPEAKER_01: And you know, going back in in the past, some of the guys that I studied, you know, they felt like that maybe half of these were the were twelve of uh of the Old Testament saints.
- 19:32SPEAKER_01: But if we're going to study this later, that just couldn't be.
- 19:36SPEAKER_01: Because those are not going to be resurrected.
- 19:38SPEAKER_01: It was not going to be made new at the at the rapture.
- 19:41SPEAKER_01: Their time's coming after that.
- 19:42SPEAKER_01: We'll get to that later.
- 19:44SPEAKER_01: All right.
- 19:45SPEAKER_01: Did I confuse you?
- 19:46SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 19:49SPEAKER_01: Okay, well, we're we're and and again, that's brought up in in Daniel 12, 3 and 4.
- 19:54SPEAKER_01: And we'll we're going to talk about that because that's one thing that's important to understand is that each group of people for their time frames are going to be raised during during their time and not apart from anybody else.
- 20:06SPEAKER_01: Okay, let's see.
- 20:07SPEAKER_01: The next scripture we had was uh 1 Corinthians 9, 25.
- 20:12SPEAKER_10: I got that.
- 20:13SPEAKER_10: Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training.
- 20:16SPEAKER_10: They do it to get a crown that won't last.
- 20:20SPEAKER_10: But we do it to get a crown that will last forever.
- 20:23SPEAKER_01: Alright, that's the crown.
- 20:24SPEAKER_01: That's the Stephanos crown that it's talking about.
- 20:27SPEAKER_01: Uh did I get some, did did, did someone read uh Revelation 24?
- 20:32SPEAKER_01: Did we read that?
- 20:36SPEAKER_01: Somebody got that?
- 20:38SPEAKER_01: Revelation 24.
- 20:41SPEAKER_01: Alright, so Timothy first 2 Timothy 4, 8.
- 20:47SPEAKER_01: Someone got that one?
- 20:48SPEAKER_01: Alright, well let's let's go on forward.
- 20:51SPEAKER_01: So what we see in chapters 4 and 5, and I'm saying these are transition chapters that head us into this seven-year time frame.
- 21:01SPEAKER_01: And so these 24 elders, we said they're human leaders.
- 21:05SPEAKER_01: They've got white robes, which that means they're believers in Christ.
- 21:09SPEAKER_01: They're on thrones, ruling with Christ, they're wearing crowns, which is eternal rewards, and that's going to be important as we get into this in just a little bit.
- 21:19SPEAKER_01: And we see that the seven spirits, we read that in verse 5, are at the throne room.
- 21:26SPEAKER_01: What does that tell us again what we said about seven?
- 21:30SPEAKER_01: So we've got 100% of the Holy Spirit for whatever length of time right here is in the throne room.
- 21:36SPEAKER_01: I'd say that would be pretty significant.
- 21:39SPEAKER_01: So, again, I'm looking at some of Ian's notes right here.
- 21:44SPEAKER_01: Fire is one of the forms the normally invisible spirit takes.
- 21:49SPEAKER_01: Seven spirits picture the spirit's full 100% presence echoing Isaiah 11 2.
- 21:56SPEAKER_01: And if you was to read that, that talks about the seven characteristics of the Holy Spirit.
- 22:00SPEAKER_01: Spirit.
- 22:01SPEAKER_01: So at this point, you know, and that's one of the questions.
- 22:05SPEAKER_01: Can the Holy Spirit, if it decides to be in one place, be in one place?
- 22:10SPEAKER_01: So the fullness of the Holy Spirit could be right here in one place.
- 22:13SPEAKER_01: And I think if we're again we're we're we're trying to put the understanding is that this is the the church being here, you'd think that the Holy Spirit, when the whole church is here, might want to be here in full power.
- 22:28SPEAKER_01: I mean it it makes total sense.
- 22:32SPEAKER_01: So anyway, we see that this is proof the church has already left the earth.
- 22:39SPEAKER_01: Now, we're gonna talk about two comings that distinguish because this is real important and where I've missed some of the boat for me when I studied this in the past.
- 22:52SPEAKER_01: We're gonna talk about two terms here.
- 22:54SPEAKER_01: We just talked about the day of the Lord, right?
- 22:58SPEAKER_01: Okay, there's a total different term, and a lot of people tend to get confused with the coming of the Lord.
- 23:04SPEAKER_01: Now, if you don't understand that, you're gonna miss the whole boat right here.
- 23:09SPEAKER_01: Because a lot of people want to think that the coming of the Lord and the day of the Lord are the same thing, and they're not at all.
- 23:17SPEAKER_01: The day of the Lord is this seven-year period that's coming for judgment.
- 23:22SPEAKER_01: And we're gonna talk about the coming of the Lord.
- 23:25SPEAKER_01: So look, this great and terrible day, this day of the Lord that we talked about, it's for tribulation for Israel, the final seven.
- 23:34SPEAKER_01: The coming of the Lord, and we're gonna talk about some of these verses right here so you can get an understanding.
- 23:41SPEAKER_01: And I'm gonna read some of these off to you.
- 23:44SPEAKER_01: James 5, 7 through 9.
- 23:47SPEAKER_01: Now this talks about, and I and I want to really home in on this when it says this so you can grasp this.
- 23:53SPEAKER_01: Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord.
- 23:58SPEAKER_01: The farmer waits for the precious produce of the soil, being patient about it until it gets the early and late rains.
- 24:08SPEAKER_01: Verse 8.
- 24:09SPEAKER_01: You too be patient, strengthen your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is near.
- 24:14SPEAKER_01: Do not complain, brethren, against one another, so that you yourselves may not be judged.
- 24:19SPEAKER_01: Behold, the judge is standing right at the door.
- 24:22SPEAKER_01: Does that sound like the terrible day of the Lord?
- 24:27SPEAKER_01: Doesn't sound anything like it, does it?
- 24:30SPEAKER_01: And here's James in the first century saying that the judge is right near the door.
- 24:36SPEAKER_01: What does that tell you?
- 24:38SPEAKER_01: He's looking for his appearance right now.
- 24:40SPEAKER_01: The early church was looking for the return of Christ in the very beginning.
- 24:46SPEAKER_01: Wasn't the day of the Lord, it was the coming of the Lord.
- 24:50SPEAKER_01: Here in John, now look, and this, as we get in this a little deeper, I think you'll see how this really comes together.
- 24:57SPEAKER_01: Here's Jesus speaking to the disciples.
- 25:01SPEAKER_01: He said, In my father's house are many dwelling places.
- 25:04SPEAKER_01: If it were not so, I would have told you, for I go to prepare a place for you.
- 25:09SPEAKER_01: If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to myself, that where I am, there you may be also.
- 25:16SPEAKER_01: Now Jesus speaking tenderly to his apostles to comfort them and tell them that he is coming back to receive them.
- 25:26SPEAKER_01: And that's an important word right there, that he's coming to receive them.
- 25:30SPEAKER_01: So these two different comings are totally different.
- 25:35SPEAKER_01: As we said, the day of the Lord is for Israel.
- 25:39SPEAKER_01: It's judgment.
- 25:40SPEAKER_01: It depends on prior events.
- 25:42SPEAKER_01: Now, the day of the Lord can't happen until a lot of things happen.
- 25:45SPEAKER_01: We've got to have a new temple built.
- 25:47SPEAKER_01: We've got to have the Antichrist, it's got to show up.
- 25:51SPEAKER_01: Gonna be a lot of things happen.
- 25:53SPEAKER_01: So the day of the Lord cannot happen until certain things fall into place.
- 26:00SPEAKER_01: But the coming of the Lord can happen at any time.
- 26:05SPEAKER_01: Now in our church, we call that the doctrine of imminence.
- 26:11SPEAKER_01: It doesn't require anything.
- 26:13SPEAKER_01: You know, you're you're uh the people that went before you, your predecessors, and those wonderful people like your mother.
- 26:22SPEAKER_01: They were looking for the coming of the Lord, right?
- 26:27SPEAKER_01: I don't know one of the one of the the uh of the people that I know that love Christ that wasn't looking for the coming of the Lord.
- 26:37SPEAKER_01: Were they wrong?
- 26:38SPEAKER_01: Of course not.
- 26:41SPEAKER_01: And so that's what we're all should be doing is looking for the coming of the Lord.
- 26:46SPEAKER_01: We don't want to be looking for the day of the Lord, but it's coming, but not before the coming of the Lord.
- 26:54SPEAKER_01: So uh, so this this time, this day of the Lord, and John, of course, uh in John 14, 1 and 3, he describes this so well what Jesus says about him, his coming.
- 27:11SPEAKER_01: And so let me read a uh a few more verses to you, this coming of the Lord in 1 Corinthians 15, 42 through 49.
- 27:20SPEAKER_01: So also is the resurrection of the dead.
- 27:24SPEAKER_01: It is sown a perishable body, it is raised an imperishable body.
- 27:29SPEAKER_01: It is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory.
- 27:32SPEAKER_01: It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power.
- 27:35SPEAKER_01: It is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body.
- 27:40SPEAKER_01: If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.
- 27:44SPEAKER_01: So also it is written, the first man Adam became a living soul.
- 27:50SPEAKER_01: The last Adam became a living, life-giving spirit.
- 27:54SPEAKER_01: However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural, then the spiritual.
- 28:00SPEAKER_01: The first man is from the earth, earthy, the second man is from heaven, and as is the earthy, so also those who are earthy, and as is the heavenly, so also those who are heavenly.
- 28:12SPEAKER_01: Just as we have borne the image of the earthy, we also bear the image of the heavenly.
- 28:18SPEAKER_01: We're made up of bodies, and we're made up of souls, right?
- 28:23SPEAKER_01: Made up in three parts.
- 28:26SPEAKER_01: What has to happen for us to be in the heavenlies right now?
- 28:31SPEAKER_01: Well, but besides rapture is not that what?
- 28:36SPEAKER_01: We gotta be separated from our bodies, right?
- 28:40SPEAKER_01: But why can't our bodies are not made perfect yet?
- 28:44SPEAKER_01: They're imperfect.
- 28:46SPEAKER_01: They can't be in the heavenlies, and that's gonna be important in what we talk about in just a minute.
- 28:50SPEAKER_01: Right now, your spirit's been made perfect.
- 28:54SPEAKER_01: You know Christ as Savior, your spirit's perfect.
- 28:59SPEAKER_01: It's ready to go.
- 29:01SPEAKER_01: And of course, the the Bible tells us to be separate, if we're a Christian, to be separate from the body is to be present with the Lord, right?
- 29:09SPEAKER_01: So this is going to be important that we look at when we see this scene in heaven that we're talking about right now.
- 29:15SPEAKER_01: So the rapture that's been called, and I have some of my friends say the rapture is not in the Bible, we'll talk about that just in a minute.
- 29:26SPEAKER_01: May not want to, we'll look at it here in a second.
- 29:28SPEAKER_01: You call it all kinds of things, but anyway, we're gonna we're gonna look at it here in just a minute.
- 29:33SPEAKER_01: But in order for you to be in heaven with your body, a new body's gonna, you're gonna have to have a new body required, since flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God.
- 29:49SPEAKER_01: And did somebody did I give somebody 1 Corinthians 15, 50?
- 29:52SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 29:53SPEAKER_01: Alright, go ahead and read that.
- 29:55SPEAKER_04: 525.
- 29:56SPEAKER_01: No, 15.
- 29:57SPEAKER_01: Well, just go ahead and read 50 right now.
- 29:59SPEAKER_04: I tell you this, brothers, flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the imperishable inherit the imperishable.
- 30:07SPEAKER_01: If you want to go ahead and read those other two, you can.
- 30:09SPEAKER_04: Behold, I tell you a mystery, we shall not all sleep, but we shall be changed the moment of the twinkling of an eye at the last trumpet.
- 30:16SPEAKER_04: For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.
- 30:22SPEAKER_04: For this perishable body must put on the imperiality, and this mortal body must put on immortality.
- 30:28SPEAKER_01: Alright, let's go back and read 51 again.
- 30:31SPEAKER_01: I mean 50, I'm sorry.
- 30:33SPEAKER_04: 50.
- 30:34SPEAKER_01: Yep.
- 30:34SPEAKER_04: I tell you this, brothers, flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperiality.
- 30:42SPEAKER_01: Alright, so again, back to what we talked about.
- 30:44SPEAKER_01: Your body cannot at this point inherit the kingdom.
- 30:48SPEAKER_01: Alright?
- 30:49SPEAKER_01: And when we're going to talk about the change, what's going to have to happen?
- 30:52SPEAKER_01: Now look, keep let's we'll come, I'm gonna come back to it in a minute.
- 30:56SPEAKER_01: Now keep in mind those 24 elders.
- 30:59SPEAKER_01: Alright?
- 31:00SPEAKER_01: Because that's gonna be important to state our case of why we believe that this time that we're looking at at this throne room, why the church is there.
- 31:12SPEAKER_01: So let me bring up another another few verses here in 1 Thessalonians.
- 31:17SPEAKER_01: But we do not want you to be uninformed, brethren, about those who are asleep, so that you will not grieve as do the rest who have no hope.
- 31:26SPEAKER_01: For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, God will bring with those who have fallen asleep in Jesus.
- 31:34SPEAKER_01: For this we say to you by the word of God, that we who are alive and remain, again that term, until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep.
- 31:46SPEAKER_01: Important.
- 31:47SPEAKER_01: Alright, you catch that?
- 31:50SPEAKER_01: For the Lord himself would descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.
- 31:58SPEAKER_01: Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord.
- 32:08SPEAKER_01: Therefore, comfort one another with these words, and I'm sure many of you have heard this at funerals of what our hope is.
- 32:15SPEAKER_01: Now, this a new body is required, as we said, and we just talked about that in 1550.
- 32:24SPEAKER_01: This is an interesting term here.
- 32:27SPEAKER_01: It says he's coming with a shout.
- 32:30SPEAKER_01: That word is in Greek kelsuma, a military command, the archangel's voice, and the trumpet of God.
- 32:41SPEAKER_01: The dead in Christ rise first, and then the living are instantly changed and caught up.
- 32:48SPEAKER_01: Now, we all take that term and we we bring it into our vernacular and say rapture, caught up rapture.
- 32:56SPEAKER_01: In some some some of your Bibles it may say snatching away.
- 33:03SPEAKER_01: It's a a forceful taking away.
- 33:07SPEAKER_01: And so that that word caught up in the Greek is rapturo.
- 33:13SPEAKER_01: And so what's happened is it's been translated.
- 33:16SPEAKER_01: You guys have seen this in in if you watch through, is is the French word is rapture, and that's what's stuck.
- 33:22SPEAKER_01: That's where we get that at.
- 33:24SPEAKER_01: But whether you whether you translate it rapture or snatching away, it's being caught up to be with God.
- 33:31SPEAKER_01: That's what it is.
- 33:32SPEAKER_01: We're taking up, taking us right out of this system that we're in right here.
- 33:39SPEAKER_01: So, and this matches up again with John 14, 1 through 3 that we talked about.
- 33:48SPEAKER_01: This trumpet is interesting.
- 33:51SPEAKER_01: Now, a lot of people have tried to tell me, I've got some guys that want to tell me that the last trumpet they want to take it into the judgment, but if that, you know, none of that was even written down at that point what people talk about that.
- 34:03SPEAKER_01: If you study and and and I don't know if you guys have done a study on the feast, which we have done one twice in our Sunday school class, but uh it says that at the last trump, which is interesting, and so if you study in the feast, we know that the first four feasts have been fulfilled.
- 34:25SPEAKER_01: The spring feast, right?
- 34:27SPEAKER_01: Passover Lamb, Jesus died exactly on the day of Passover, 100%.
- 34:35SPEAKER_01: And if you study in Leviticus 23, you're gonna find that the Jews, uh they basically, what we say, they did dress rehearsals planning for this.
- 34:46SPEAKER_01: For 1,500 years they were planning for this.
- 34:48SPEAKER_01: They did dress rehearsals because if you take 23, 2 of Leviticus says, these are my feast.
- 34:56SPEAKER_01: God's saying, these aren't your feasts, these are my feasts, which shall be for my holy convocations, which means for my dress rehearsals.
- 35:06SPEAKER_01: Those feasts, all seven of those feasts are for dress rehearsals, is what they're for.
- 35:10SPEAKER_01: And the first four have 100% been fulfilled, the Passover lamb, slain for the sins of the world.
- 35:20SPEAKER_01: And then we know that Jesus had to be put in the grave before 6 o'clock or the when the new day came, and that was the day of leaven or unleavened bread.
- 35:34SPEAKER_01: That was on the Friday.
- 35:36SPEAKER_01: He had to be put into the grave because he was the perfect unleavened sacrifice for us.
- 35:42SPEAKER_01: He was put in before that time.
- 35:44SPEAKER_01: I mean, down to the almost the the minutes, and then he was raised on the first fruits.
- 35:51SPEAKER_01: He was the first fruits of the of the dead.
- 35:54SPEAKER_01: He's the first one that was able to come out of that grave.
- 35:58SPEAKER_01: And then we go to the to the uh uh 50 days later, Pentecost is 50 days, and that we see that is again a a feast for harvest.
- 36:12SPEAKER_01: And the course the the first the first church, the church that started was the harvest.
- 36:17SPEAKER_01: You know, if you go back and study those feasts, in the Old Testament, what happened at the Pentecost?
- 36:26SPEAKER_01: 3,000 people died because they rebelled against God.
- 36:29SPEAKER_01: If you go back and study when Moses brought down the law, right, they rebelled, 3,000 died.
- 36:35SPEAKER_01: Interestingly enough, Pentecost of the New Testament, 3,000 were saved on the day of Pentecost.
- 36:40SPEAKER_01: Isn't that interesting?
- 36:41SPEAKER_01: So those feasts have already been finished, completed.
- 36:44SPEAKER_01: Three have not been fulfilled.
- 36:46SPEAKER_01: The fall feast.
- 36:47SPEAKER_01: The first one is Rosh Hashanah.
- 36:49SPEAKER_01: And if you study that, it's got a lot of interesting connotations with it.
- 36:54SPEAKER_01: It's called the Feast of Trumpets, which is interesting to start off enough because we know that the trumpet blasts, but it's also called the day of the awakening blast, which is interesting.
- 37:04SPEAKER_01: It's also called the the uh feast of the wedding.
- 37:08SPEAKER_01: So it's got a lot of interesting connotations.
- 37:11SPEAKER_01: But the the the the point I wanted to make about the last trumpet, whenever the watchman on the wall, and it's a two-day feast, would be on the wall, and the people would be out working in the field, and they were waiting for the the watchman on the wall to make the to blow the last trumpet.
- 37:28SPEAKER_01: Since it was a two-day feast, they didn't know what time he would do it.
- 37:32SPEAKER_01: So they went on working until that last trump.
- 37:36SPEAKER_01: And it's interesting that the trumpeter would would make 99 blast, and the last one was called the last trump, which is interesting.
- 37:46SPEAKER_01: And it's Takea de Gola is what they call it.
- 37:49SPEAKER_01: But anyway, that's the last trump.
- 37:51SPEAKER_01: So it's interesting that goes right along with what we're looking for, is the rapture, and then the Day of Atonement, which will be when this seven-year period is, at the at the end of this when Jesus Christ comes, and then the last one is the is the Feast of Tabernacles, God tabernacles with his people.
- 38:10SPEAKER_01: That'll be when we come into the thousand-year reign of Christ.
- 38:14SPEAKER_01: So anyway, these last three feasts are are to be fulfilled, and this uh that we look at this rapture is a picture of the Feast of Trumpets.
- 38:26SPEAKER_01: So, uh, on some of these notes right here again, I'm looking, you got it on your note page.
- 38:34SPEAKER_01: No saint is glorified apart from the rest of their group, all Old Testament saints together, all church saints together, which is why Old Testament saints did not receive what was their promise in their own lifetime.
- 38:49SPEAKER_01: So they, you know, the Old Testament saints haven't received fulfillment of their resurrected body, and they're not gonna see it again until we get to the end of the tribulation period.
- 38:58SPEAKER_01: Then we're gonna see that.
- 38:59SPEAKER_01: What we're seeing right now in this rapture is the church.
- 39:04SPEAKER_01: Doesn't matter whether they're Gentiles or Jews, if they know Jesus Christ, they're gonna be resurrected, I mean, at this rapture.
- 39:13SPEAKER_01: So now I want to look here for just a few minutes here at this reward at the coming of the Lord.
- 39:24SPEAKER_01: Did I give somebody Hebrews 11, 39 and 40?
- 39:28SPEAKER_01: Okay, hang on to it for just a minute.
- 39:31SPEAKER_01: Jesus Christ's coming happens at one single moment.
- 39:37SPEAKER_01: The judgment seat of Christ happens only once.
- 39:40SPEAKER_01: This is one thing that I really in past for me studying scriptures, I didn't understand this.
- 39:46SPEAKER_01: Now you need to really understand this because this is this is important.
- 39:49SPEAKER_01: A lot of people think that when your soul goes to heaven, that's when you get your rewards.
- 39:55SPEAKER_01: And that's not what the scripture teaches at all.
- 39:57SPEAKER_01: And I want you to think about this again for just a minute.
- 40:01SPEAKER_01: Um I'm I'm writing this book about my brother, and I see all these seeds that he planted when he was alive, and a lot of them are just sprouting now.
- 40:10SPEAKER_01: Well, I'm thinking, was he not gonna get those rewards?
- 40:14SPEAKER_01: Think about your mom.
- 40:15SPEAKER_01: Think about all the seeds she's planted in the ground, Wayne.
- 40:18SPEAKER_01: They're still coming up, right?
- 40:21SPEAKER_01: Well, she's not gonna get those rewards till they all get at the same time.
- 40:25SPEAKER_01: So, so the Bema seed, we'll look at a few scriptures here that'll back this up.
- 40:30SPEAKER_01: The rewards that you gain are all gonna happen when your body is resurrected or at the at the, which is gonna be at the time of the rapture.
- 40:41SPEAKER_01: The dead in Christ rise first, and then we're gonna, those who remain are gonna be caught up.
- 40:47SPEAKER_01: And that's when the beam seat judgment, the judgment for the for the church, those that have been saved.
- 40:53SPEAKER_01: When you go to heaven right now, look, your soul's going there, it's 100% perfected.
- 40:58SPEAKER_01: Your body's not there, it's not perfected yet.
- 41:02SPEAKER_01: And the and the things that you've done on this earth for the Lord, that is when those are all gonna come into fulfillment.
- 41:08SPEAKER_01: There's guys are several hundred years old that's still got produce that's coming up from the things they've done, right?
- 41:15SPEAKER_01: You think that he's saying, hang on, I gotta hand you another one here.
- 41:18SPEAKER_01: Hold on.
- 41:19SPEAKER_01: Hang on, here's another one here.
- 41:21SPEAKER_01: You got another one.
- 41:22SPEAKER_01: No, that's we're all gonna get the rewards at the same time.
- 41:24SPEAKER_01: We're gonna look at a few verses here in just a minute.
- 41:28SPEAKER_01: So, uh, okay, go ahead and read that verse right there, uh uh, Mark.
- 41:36SPEAKER_03: These were all commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised.
- 41:42SPEAKER_03: Since God had planned something better for us, so that only together with us would they be made perfect.
- 41:50SPEAKER_01: All right.
- 41:51SPEAKER_01: That's Hebrews 11, 39 and 40.
- 41:55SPEAKER_01: So, because Christ's comings happen at one single moment, the judgment seat of Christ happens only once for the whole church together.
- 42:03SPEAKER_01: A judgment for praise and reward, not condemnation.
- 42:08SPEAKER_01: Of course, Romans 1, we know it says that we're not under any condemnation.
- 42:12SPEAKER_01: Who did I give someone 2 Corinthians 5, 9, and 10?
- 42:18SPEAKER_01: I don't know if I've got, yeah, I've got that.
- 42:21SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna read that to you just a minute.
- 42:22SPEAKER_01: Let's go ahead and read this.
- 42:23SPEAKER_01: Behold, I tell you, mystery will not all sleep, but we will all be changed.
- 42:27SPEAKER_01: That's the verse that goes over in the preschool.
- 42:31SPEAKER_01: In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye at the last trumpet, for the trumpet will sound and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.
- 42:39SPEAKER_01: For this perishable must put on the imperishable, and this mortal must put on immortality.
- 42:44SPEAKER_01: That's what Lib read earlier.
- 42:46SPEAKER_01: Now, about these rewards.
- 42:49SPEAKER_01: The coming of the Lord, therefore we also have as our ambition, whether at home or absent, to be pleasing to him.
- 42:57SPEAKER_01: 2 Corinthians 5 10.
- 42:58SPEAKER_01: For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body according to what he has done, whether good or bad.
- 43:11SPEAKER_01: Now, 1 Corinthians 4 5, therefore do not go on passing judgment before the time, but wait until the Lord comes, who will both bring to light the things hidden in the darkness and disclose the motives of men's hearts, and then each man's praise will come to him from God.
- 43:31SPEAKER_01: Alright, you catch that?
- 43:32SPEAKER_07: Now, what verse was that?
- 43:34SPEAKER_01: This is 1 Corinthians 4 5.
- 43:37SPEAKER_01: So it's But wait until the Lord comes.
- 43:41SPEAKER_01: Now, when he comes, coming to the Lord, he'll he will both bring to light the things hidden in the darkness and disclose the motives of men's hearts.
- 43:50SPEAKER_01: Then each man's praise will come to him from God.
- 43:53SPEAKER_07: So that's that's setting the time for the rewards.
- 43:57SPEAKER_01: But right.
- 43:58SPEAKER_07: You have never found.
- 44:00SPEAKER_07: Under scripture that's as unique as that.
- 44:03SPEAKER_01: Well, and again, those those two or three that we've read would give you a good understanding of that's when it's gonna be.
- 44:09SPEAKER_07: We can see that it happened when we see that in this chapter four, they have crowns on the hand.
- 44:17SPEAKER_01: Well, we're gonna we're gonna get there, which you're exactly right.
- 44:20SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you're exactly right.
- 44:21SPEAKER_01: That's that's where we're headed.
- 44:23SPEAKER_01: So we're gonna get into a few more things that would help us to to get past this circumstantial evidence, if you want to call that, about this is the time of the rapture, but I want to bring some more things that will help us to home in on this.
- 44:38SPEAKER_01: And you know, Paul even ties his own reward implicitly to the Lord's coming, not to the moment of his death.
- 44:45SPEAKER_01: That's in 1 Thessalonians 2, 19 and 20.
- 44:49SPEAKER_01: For who is our hope or joy or crown of exaltation?
- 44:52SPEAKER_01: It is not even you in the presence of the Lord Jesus that is coming, for you are our glory and joy.
- 45:00SPEAKER_01: That's that is uh 1 Thessalonians 2, 19 and 20.
- 45:07SPEAKER_01: And there's a couple more verses in here, but I'm not we just don't really have time to come to that.
- 45:13SPEAKER_01: So uh now this is the thing that you just brought up that I want to get to about these what we see in heaven.
- 45:21SPEAKER_01: And we talked about these 24 elders, human leaders, white robes, believers in Christ.
- 45:27SPEAKER_01: They're on ro on thrones, ruling with Christ, wearing crowns.
- 45:32SPEAKER_01: What would it take for them to be wearing crowns?
- 45:35SPEAKER_01: Have to have heavenly bodies, they had to have heavenly bodies, would they not?
- 45:40SPEAKER_01: So that gives me pretty good understanding that we're on pretty solid ground here, that the rapture has happened and that the whole church is here.
- 45:49SPEAKER_01: So I want to just kind of, we don't have a lot of time left, but just I want to get in a little bit more so we can look at what the day of the Lord is and the coming of the Lord is.
- 46:01SPEAKER_01: So these 24 elders, they have bodies, seated, robed, crowned.
- 46:06SPEAKER_01: Only the new imperishable body can enter heaven.
- 46:09SPEAKER_01: So they're already resurrected, since no believer is glorified apart from the rest, as we studied.
- 46:16SPEAKER_01: If even one is resurrected, the entire church would have to be resurrected, based on what we've talked about.
- 46:23SPEAKER_01: Already removed from earth and already rewarded before this scene opens.
- 46:28SPEAKER_01: So we're seeing this incredible scene from this throne room.
- 46:35SPEAKER_01: The entire church is here.
- 46:37SPEAKER_01: Entire church is celebrating first in chapter 4, which we're this part that we're on tonight, is the creator God of the universe.
- 46:44SPEAKER_01: And then we get to five, then it's gonna focus on Jesus Christ.
- 46:48SPEAKER_01: So this is a transition time frame from the church age getting into the time of tribulation.
- 46:58SPEAKER_01: Now, let me bring you a few more verses, and we're gonna talk about some differences here.
- 47:02SPEAKER_01: Maybe this will give us some more understanding.
- 47:06SPEAKER_01: And this is some something that I had some hard times understanding before.
- 47:11SPEAKER_01: And if you can just do this as you're reading through it, when you read the coming of the Lord, just read in rapture.
- 47:20SPEAKER_01: And when you get to the day of the Lord, just read tribulation.
- 47:23SPEAKER_01: And I want to read you uh so you get into 2 Thessalonians, and a lot of people really get confused there.
- 47:29SPEAKER_01: So I want you to see this because it's really evident here in verse 1.
- 47:33SPEAKER_01: Now we request you, brethren, with regard to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together for him.
- 47:41SPEAKER_01: That in this context, Paul is trying to comfort the Thessalonians, who he's already just shortly a few months ago had discipleship with and told them all about what was going to happen and take place, and they've been given this false media.
- 47:58SPEAKER_01: They got some false media that told them that the rapture's already happened.
- 48:01SPEAKER_01: And he's trying to comfort them and say, hang on here.
- 48:03SPEAKER_01: I've just been here a few months ago.
- 48:06SPEAKER_01: What's the problem?
- 48:07SPEAKER_01: Let me explain this to you again.
- 48:08SPEAKER_01: So he has to go back and reiterate because they've been given a false bill of goods.
- 48:12SPEAKER_01: So let's go back.
- 48:13SPEAKER_01: Now I request you, brethren, with a good with regard to the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.
- 48:18SPEAKER_01: Now put that in, regard to the rapture of the Lord Jesus Christ, and are gathering together with him, that you not be quickly shaken from your composure or be disturbed by a spirit or a message or a letter as if as if from us to the effect, now here he says, that the day of the Lord has come.
- 48:36SPEAKER_01: We see that difference?
- 48:38SPEAKER_01: A lot of people want to think they're the both the same thing.
- 48:40SPEAKER_01: They're not.
- 48:41SPEAKER_01: So he's telling them, hey, hang on here.
- 48:45SPEAKER_01: You're still here.
- 48:46SPEAKER_01: The Lord, the day of the Lord hasn't happened.
- 48:48SPEAKER_01: He says, Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction.
- 49:01SPEAKER_01: So what he's telling them, look, the day of the Lord is not going to happen until Antichrist comes.
- 49:09SPEAKER_01: You hadn't seen the Antichrist, so the coming hasn't happened yet.
- 49:12SPEAKER_01: The rapture hasn't happened.
- 49:15SPEAKER_01: And he says, Who this man of lawlessness, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself above everyone so-called God or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God.
- 49:29SPEAKER_01: Then he goes on here.
- 49:30SPEAKER_01: Now this is interesting too, in verses 6, 7, and 8.
- 49:35SPEAKER_01: And he says, And you know what restrains him now, so that in his time he will be revealed.
- 49:41SPEAKER_01: For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work.
- 49:45SPEAKER_01: Only he who restrains will do so until he is taken out of the way.
- 49:51SPEAKER_01: Now do you capture who's the restrainer here?
- 49:53SPEAKER_04: Oh, through who?
- 49:56SPEAKER_01: Through the church.
- 49:58SPEAKER_01: The restrainer, the Holy Spirit, till he's taken out.
- 50:01SPEAKER_01: But who's he who's restraining him from coming?
- 50:04SPEAKER_01: The church, the prayers.
- 50:06SPEAKER_01: The prayers of the church.
- 50:09SPEAKER_01: Think about what's going to happen when it says when he's taken out.
- 50:12SPEAKER_01: What's going to happen on this earth then?
- 50:15SPEAKER_01: It's going to be hell on earth, isn't it?
- 50:17SPEAKER_01: But what's being kept from this happening is, for the mystery of the lawlessness is already at work.
- 50:23SPEAKER_01: Only he who now restrains will do so until he is taken out of the way.
- 50:29SPEAKER_01: How's he going to be taken out of the way?
- 50:32SPEAKER_01: The rapture.
- 50:32SPEAKER_01: The church has to leave.
- 50:35SPEAKER_01: Then that lawless one will be revealed.
- 50:37SPEAKER_01: You get to catch that again?
- 50:39SPEAKER_01: That the Antichrist, everybody's won't know who the Antichrist is.
- 50:42SPEAKER_01: You're not going to know who the Antichrist is.
- 50:44SPEAKER_01: You're the church.
- 50:45SPEAKER_01: Forget about it.
- 50:46SPEAKER_01: Let's get our minds on up, not on, huh?
- 50:49SPEAKER_01: Let's get our minds on the uppertaker, not the undertaker.
- 50:52SPEAKER_01: Right?
- 50:54SPEAKER_01: That's what we need to do.
- 50:55SPEAKER_01: So look, he's telling the church, you Thessalonians, y'all got it all wrong.
- 51:01SPEAKER_01: You got to be gone.
- 51:03SPEAKER_01: You got to be out of here.
- 51:04SPEAKER_01: If the rapture's taking place, you'd have to be gone.
- 51:07SPEAKER_01: And you're still here.
- 51:09SPEAKER_01: And you and the Antichrist has got to be revealed, and he hadn't been revealed.
- 51:13SPEAKER_01: So he said, then that lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will slay with the breath of his mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of his coming.
- 51:21SPEAKER_01: So I want to bring you, just in the short time that we have.
- 51:24SPEAKER_01: All right.
- 51:24SPEAKER_01: Here's the day of the Lord.
- 51:25SPEAKER_01: I want to get you the difference so you understand this because when you read Scripture, and if you really will read it, looking at the day of the Lord as opposed to the coming of the Lord, it's going to help you so much to understand.
- 51:36SPEAKER_01: The day of the Lord is for Israel.
- 51:39SPEAKER_01: The coming of our Lord is for the church.
- 51:43SPEAKER_01: The day of the Israel is for judgment.
- 51:46SPEAKER_01: The coming of the Lord is for resurrection and reward.
- 51:50SPEAKER_01: The day of the Lord is only final seven years.
- 51:57SPEAKER_01: The coming of our Lord is always near and possible.
- 52:00SPEAKER_01: Always near and possible.
- 52:04SPEAKER_01: The day of the Lord is after the lawless one is revealed.
- 52:10SPEAKER_01: The coming of our Lord is before the lawless one is revealed.
- 52:14SPEAKER_01: So let's quit trying to figure out who it is.
- 52:18SPEAKER_01: The day of the Lord brings an age to an end.
- 52:22SPEAKER_01: And what do we say that age was?
- 52:26SPEAKER_01: Not the church age, the day of the Gentiles.
- 52:29SPEAKER_01: The coming of the Lord brings an end to the church.
- 52:33SPEAKER_01: You catch the difference?
- 52:35SPEAKER_01: The day of the Lord is at the end of the seven years.
- 52:39SPEAKER_01: The coming of the Lord is the time of rapture.
- 52:43SPEAKER_01: So where we're at?
- 52:46SPEAKER_01: We're waiting, watching, and working.
- 52:49SPEAKER_01: We're waiting for the removal of the restrainer.
- 52:52SPEAKER_01: And when we read that a while ago about the fullness of the Spirit being in the heavenly throne room that we seen, that's, I think, exactly why we saw the fullness of the Spirit in the throne room, because the restrainer's been removed and taken up to heaven for whatever period of time.
- 53:08SPEAKER_01: Now we know many people's going to be saved, and they can only be saved through the Holy Spirit, so he's going to come back to earth.
- 53:13SPEAKER_01: But for this time, in this four and five here, when we see this fullness of the Spirit, the full and you know, one of the things he brought up, I don't know if you guys remember this and bring it up, he said, you know, some of you folks in church that don't like singing the same the same uh chorses over and over.
- 53:33SPEAKER_01: He said, You're gonna have problems.
- 53:36SPEAKER_01: Because in heaven they're singing holy, holy, holy is the Lord God, and they're singing it over and over.
- 53:41SPEAKER_01: So, huh?
- 53:43SPEAKER_01: And hey, well, you know, and again, there's gonna be so much more going on, and we're we're not here to get into that tonight, but look, we're we are gonna be worshiping with worship like we've never had before.
- 53:54SPEAKER_01: And it says we're gonna be also in the problem we when all look, I got we all got problems.
- 53:59SPEAKER_01: Hey, look, I love the hymns.
- 54:01SPEAKER_01: I love all the hymns.
- 54:02SPEAKER_01: But look, you know, we get hung up on stuff, we're gonna be singing new songs in heaven.
- 54:06SPEAKER_01: So you might as well get used to singing some new songs here, right?
- 54:10SPEAKER_01: Don't get hung up on it, you know.
- 54:15SPEAKER_01: And so people get we all get hung up on stuff like that.
- 54:18SPEAKER_01: It's kind of funny.
- 54:20SPEAKER_01: Uh huh.
- 54:24SPEAKER_01: So do what?
- 54:28SPEAKER_01: Well, hey, you know, my brother couldn't carry a tune in a bucket, but boy, he loved to sing and he loved to praise the Lord, so it was awesome.
- 54:35SPEAKER_01: You know, we're all going to be worshiping perfectly.
- 54:38SPEAKER_01: I know that.
- 54:38SPEAKER_01: We that's one thing we're gonna be able to do.
- 54:41SPEAKER_01: And hey, and it's gonna be so free and it's gonna be so exciting.
- 54:46SPEAKER_01: You know, the other thing is, and I will we got a few, we got a couple of verses right here.
- 54:52SPEAKER_01: I don't know if I gave those out or not.
- 54:54SPEAKER_01: Why the church leaves before the tribulation.
- 54:58SPEAKER_01: And we've got several verses on that.
- 55:00SPEAKER_01: I don't know if I brought those up or not, and I don't know if I gave those to anybody.
- 55:05SPEAKER_01: But in 1 Thessalonians 5, 4, and 9, even though the day of the Lord overtakes the whole earth, which it talks about in 2 Peter 2, 3, the church is going to have to be gone first if this day of the Lord's coming for the whole earth.
- 55:23SPEAKER_01: For this day, man, I mean fire and destruction.
- 55:27SPEAKER_01: And it says, and I could give you a lot of verses, but uh 1 Thessalonians 5, 4 and 9, 1 Thessalonians 5, 2 through 4 and 9, 2 Thessalonians 2, 1 through 8.
- 55:40SPEAKER_01: And we we read it also in Revelation 3.10, that we are not destined to wrath.
- 55:48SPEAKER_01: God is not destined us to wrath.
- 55:52SPEAKER_01: And uh there's a lot of, again, discussion about what's wrath or what's not, and I can tell you, chapter 6 and verse 1 starts wrath.
- 56:03SPEAKER_01: A lot of people want to say that wrath doesn't start then, but we're gonna see so much happening.
- 56:08SPEAKER_01: So uh the coming of the Lord, for that of that day and hour, and this is an interesting, he brought this up, and I we've got a couple minutes so we can talk about this.
- 56:18SPEAKER_01: Uh I think this is interesting because we get in a lot of discussions on this.
- 56:23SPEAKER_01: But of that day and hour, this is Matthew 24, 36 and 37, but of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the son, but the father alone.
- 56:33SPEAKER_01: Have you put much thought into that?
- 56:35SPEAKER_01: It's called security for the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah.
- 56:41SPEAKER_01: Now we can get into all a lot there, couldn't we, Wesley?
- 56:46SPEAKER_01: We're not going to do that tonight.
- 56:48SPEAKER_01: But it's interesting that it says not even the Father or the Son knows, but the Father knows.
- 56:55SPEAKER_01: Isn't that interesting?
- 56:56SPEAKER_07: I like how it brought out about the Jewish weddings.
- 56:58SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 56:59SPEAKER_01: And how bad.
- 57:00SPEAKER_01: And and and I've done a lot of study on the Jewish wedding, and we've talked about it, you know, and he brings out part of the Jewish wedding, but he doesn't bring it all out.
- 57:10SPEAKER_01: Uh, and he talks about, you you guys all went through and listened to him talk about the Jewish wedding, which, you know, the in the Jewish wedding, you know, those were arranged weddings.
- 57:21SPEAKER_01: And that's the way they were done, all right?
- 57:23SPEAKER_01: That's the way it was done then.
- 57:25SPEAKER_01: And so uh he talks about the servant ghost, but it didn't always, wasn't always the service, the servant that went.
- 57:33SPEAKER_01: Now, a lot of times the son would eye out somebody and tell the servant to go, but he might go himself.
- 57:39SPEAKER_01: And so he was to go and make a deal for the lady that he was after.
- 57:46SPEAKER_01: Now, interestingly enough, they didn't say this in the podcast, but you know, whenever the pr prospective bridegroom would be sitting at the table, and he would make his appeal of what the price would be.
- 58:01SPEAKER_01: And we know this correlates right to Jesus, what the price was required was the death of the son.
- 58:08SPEAKER_01: That was a pretty heavy price, right?
- 58:10SPEAKER_01: We should understand that.
- 58:11SPEAKER_01: And so when the the the bride had had the decision, she could turn down and say, Hey, I'm not gonna do this.
- 58:20SPEAKER_01: But what would happen is they would put a cup of wine on the side of the groom, prospective groom, and a side a cup of wine on the side of the bride.
- 58:32SPEAKER_01: And you know what had to happen for this thing to be consummated?
- 58:36SPEAKER_01: She would have to drink out of the cup.
- 58:39SPEAKER_01: Isn't that interesting?
- 58:42SPEAKER_01: Now, then they would bring their arms together, lock arms, and they would both drink out of the cup.
- 58:48SPEAKER_01: And then what would be said was, we'll not drink of this cup until we're wed again.
- 58:56SPEAKER_01: Just like Jesus says, hey, we're not going to drink of this cup till I come back.
- 59:00SPEAKER_01: Isn't that interesting?
- 59:02SPEAKER_01: So this Jewish wedding, if you get into studying it, we don't have time to get into it now, but it's just an incredible deep study to understand.
- 59:09SPEAKER_01: How long is this consummation in the in the wedding?
- 59:14SPEAKER_01: Seven days.
- 59:16SPEAKER_01: Representing seven years in heaven.
- 59:19SPEAKER_01: And so that's another thing.
- 59:21SPEAKER_01: If there's going to be seven days or seven years of purification, and that was something that the bride had to go through seven days of purification, makes exactly sense of where we're at in heaven during this time frame that this tribulation period is going on.
- 59:39SPEAKER_01: We're in heaven being purified for our groom, Jesus Christ, getting ready for the wedding feast, as we're going to come back to this earth and celebrate.
- 59:48SPEAKER_01: So there's just so much there.
- 59:50SPEAKER_01: We don't have time to get into it all night, but it is an it's a beautiful picture of Christ all the way through and his not only the price that he paid, and you know, what and whenever the groom would would consummate this with the prospective bridegroom, he would leave her gifts.
- 1:00:08SPEAKER_01: You know, Stephen talked about that.
- 1:00:10SPEAKER_01: He might leave her necklaces or or you know rings or whatever.
- 1:00:16SPEAKER_01: Think about what Jesus left for us for a down payment to prove.
- 1:00:19SPEAKER_01: And you know what those gifts were for was to prove that the groom was going to come back.
- 1:00:24SPEAKER_01: She always had those to look at.
- 1:00:25SPEAKER_01: These are the gifts that I've been given.
- 1:00:27SPEAKER_01: I know that the groom's coming back.
- 1:00:29SPEAKER_01: Well, what do we have is the down payment that God's given us?
- 1:00:33SPEAKER_01: Holy Spirit.
- 1:00:34SPEAKER_01: And I'm saying, what an unbelievable down payment.
- 1:00:38SPEAKER_01: Huh?
- 1:00:39SPEAKER_01: Isn't that an incredible down payment?
- 1:00:41SPEAKER_01: The Holy Spirit that He's given us.
- 1:00:43SPEAKER_01: I'm saying, man, if He's given us something that great for down payment, what's it gonna be like for us, the church, that is going to inherit and be partakers of this kingdom with Christ that He's gonna share with us?
- 1:00:57SPEAKER_01: Isn't that doesn't that kind of make you want to drop the mic?
- 1:01:01SPEAKER_01: He's gonna share His, I can't, I I can't fathom it, guys, He is going to share His inheritance with us.
- 1:01:09SPEAKER_01: And I mean, how can it be better than the Holy Spirit?
- 1:01:11SPEAKER_01: Man, come on.
- 1:01:12SPEAKER_01: But it's gonna be even more incredible.
- 1:01:15SPEAKER_01: So anyway, our time's up, and uh uh so the main points that Leon put down here, the day of the Lord, tribulation is for Israel, the coming of the Lord, the rapture for the church, they're distinct events.
- 1:01:28SPEAKER_01: A lot of people want to tell you they're they're the same thing.
- 1:01:31SPEAKER_01: One, Jesus comes down for us.
- 1:01:34SPEAKER_01: You guys remember what you was talking about, how he receives us.
- 1:01:38SPEAKER_01: And the next one is we come with him.
- 1:01:42SPEAKER_01: He's coming down, we're coming down to set up with him his kingdom.
- 1:01:45SPEAKER_01: We're gonna be riding horses with him.
- 1:01:46SPEAKER_01: You're gonna be seeing all that.
- 1:01:48SPEAKER_01: We're gonna be talking about that.
- 1:01:49SPEAKER_01: I can't wait.
- 1:01:51SPEAKER_01: Exciting.
- 1:01:52SPEAKER_01: So we're gonna be looking four and five that we're into in these next couple of weeks.
- 1:01:56SPEAKER_01: This is a what I call the transition period that heads us into the tribulation.
- 1:02:00SPEAKER_01: And you need to really home in on this and put some time and feel comfortable with what you studied right here because a lot of people want to want to uh bring up so much of why this uh on these time frames on what happens, but I cannot see myself any other way than that the church is spending that seven years as the bride with Christ, preparing to come back and set up the kingdom that he's promised us.
- 1:02:28SPEAKER_01: That's what we're gonna see.
- 1:02:30SPEAKER_01: Alright, anybody got any other comments they want to make?
- 1:02:32SPEAKER_01: I'm sorry for the for the screen.
- 1:02:36SPEAKER_01: So I've always uh kind of thought the rapture and the tribulation, one happens and the other one kicks off that second.
- 1:02:42SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but that that's not what that's not what kicks it off.
- 1:02:45SPEAKER_01: What kicks it off is is is Daniel 9 27.
- 1:02:50SPEAKER_01: What so we don't know if there's a gap in here.
- 1:02:54SPEAKER_01: There could be somewhat of a a gap frame.
- 1:02:57SPEAKER_01: You know, we talked about the Antichrist.
- 1:03:00SPEAKER_01: What sets up when the tribulation starts?
- 1:03:03SPEAKER_01: Somebody got Daniel 9.27, you want to read it?
- 1:03:07SPEAKER_01: He's going to make a covenant with Israel.
- 1:03:11SPEAKER_01: That's what starts the tribulation period, not the rapture.
- 1:03:16SPEAKER_01: And a lot of people.
- 1:03:18SPEAKER_01: Not no.
- 1:03:19SPEAKER_01: And not to say that they couldn't happen real close together, we don't know.
- 1:03:22SPEAKER_01: But there could be there could be more of a gap than we realize.
- 1:03:24SPEAKER_01: Go ahead and read that again.
- 1:03:25SPEAKER_09: He will make a firm covenant with many for one week, but in the middle of the week, he will put a stop to sacrifice and offering, and the abomination of desolation will be on a wing of the temple until the decreed destruction is poured out on the desolated.
- 1:03:42SPEAKER_01: Okay, so he says he's going to make a covenant for one week.
- 1:03:46SPEAKER_01: Seven years.
- 1:03:48SPEAKER_01: Right?
- 1:03:49SPEAKER_01: So that's what's going to start the tribulation.
- 1:03:51SPEAKER_01: So we, when we talk about this interim period that we're talking about four and five, we've got Christ, and we're going to talk about in five, we get to that, what all he's going to do and get ready to revoke this lease, that dirty dog thing.
- 1:04:06SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:04:07SPEAKER_06: Um, I've never heard of the, I guess the stone Sardis.
- 1:04:12SPEAKER_01: Uh-huh.
- 1:04:13SPEAKER_06: But something hit me when you said that, because I didn't know what color it was.
- 1:04:18SPEAKER_06: Red for the blood of Christ.
- 1:04:20SPEAKER_01: Sure.
- 1:04:21SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:04:22SPEAKER_06: Have y'all ever heard of that stone before?
- 1:04:24SPEAKER_06: It being in the Bible?
- 1:04:26SPEAKER_01: Well, it it's it's actually made, you know, the church of Sardis, it was came from that area.
- 1:04:31SPEAKER_01: That's where it came from.
- 1:04:33SPEAKER_01: So it came from that area, and it was a fiery red stone.
- 1:04:37SPEAKER_01: Which again, when you take it with the brilliance of the diamond, put those together, you can imagine when you put those together, I mean, it's almost like fireworks, right?
- 1:04:46SPEAKER_01: I mean, I can imagine around the throne room, this rainbow and and you know, what's going on, especially you got God Almighty there, it's gotta be like something that you it's gonna be hard to imagine what it's gonna be like.
- 1:05:00SPEAKER_01: So I just think of the combination, the mixture of red and and the brilliance of the diamond together's gotta be a fire show.
- 1:05:09SPEAKER_01: Pretty, you know.
- 1:05:11SPEAKER_01: So anyway, that's where it came from, is the is that area where the Church of Sarnus was.
