- 0:06Speaker 1: Welcome back to the main events of Italian diplomatic activity abroad.
- 0:09Speaker 1: On Wednesday, October 21, Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs and
- 0:13Speaker 1: International Cooperation Antonio Tajani took part in a parliamentary question-and-answer
- 0:18Speaker 1: session at the Chamber of Deputies. Among the questions raised
- 0:22Speaker 1: was one concerning Italy's position toward the International Criminal Court
- 0:26Speaker 1: following the sanctions imposed by the Trump administration. Italy supposed
- 0:30Speaker 1: the court in the Hague the Foreign Minister assured Parliament. Today,
- 0:35Speaker 1: in the face of growing violation of international humanitarian law,
- 0:39Speaker 1: defending international criminal justice is more important than ever. We
- 0:43Speaker 1: have received the announcement of sanctions by Washington with regret
- 0:47Speaker 1: and concern. We are aware of the impact such measures
- 0:50Speaker 1: could have on the court's operations. The six-month deferral of
- 0:54Speaker 1: the implementation of some of these U.S. measures does, in fact,
- 0:58Speaker 1: open up an important space for dialogue. We wish to
- 1:01Speaker 1: seize this opportunity. We are already working with our partner
- 1:05Speaker 1: to overcome our differences and secure the lifting of those sanctions.
- 1:13Speaker 1: On behalf of Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Foreign Minister Antonio
- 1:16Speaker 1: Tajani attended the Berlin Process Summit of Heads of State
- 1:19Speaker 1: and Government in Budva, Montenegro, on October 22. The summit

- 1:28Speaker 1: Berlin Process is one of the main initiatives supporting regional
- 1:31Speaker 1: cooperation among the six Western Balkan countries, promoting reforms and
- 1:35Speaker 1: advancing their European integrations. Minister Tajani reaffirmed Italy's strong commitment

- 1:48Speaker 1: investment in the stability, security and prosperity of the region
- 1:52Speaker 1: and the entire continent. At the initiative of Foreign Minister
- 1:55Speaker 1: Antonio Tajani, a new meeting of the Russia Roundtable was

- 2:10Speaker 1: and provided updates on the measures undertaken by the Ministry
- 2:13Speaker 1: and Italy's internationalization agencies to support Italian businesses and safeguard
- 2:18Speaker 1: their investment in full compliance with these sanctions currently in force.
- 2:23Speaker 1: Specific difficulties faced by individual companies were also examined. The

- 2:33Speaker 1: Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on October 21. Implementing the
- 2:37Speaker 1: Memorandum of Understanding signed between the two foreign ministries and
- 2:41Speaker 1: their respective national cybersecurity agencies, the meeting, opened by the
- 2:46Speaker 1: Secretary-General of the Italian Foreign Ministry, Ambassador Riccardo Guariglia, provided
- 2:51Speaker 1: an opportunity for a productive exchange of views on the
- 2:54Speaker 1: evolving cyber threat landscape and national cybersecurity policies. The two
- 2:59Speaker 1: delegations identified concrete opportunities for cooperation ranging from cyber capacity
- 3:04Speaker 1: building to the exchange of best practices with particular attention
- 3:09Speaker 1: to Albania's efforts to align its cyber security and resilience
- 3:13Speaker 1: framework with European regulations. Economic and industrial cooperation between Italy
- 3:18Speaker 1: and Azerbaijan along with new investment opportunities and partnership in
- 3:22Speaker 1: strategic sectors were the focus of an event organized in
- 3:26Speaker 1: Rome by Confindustria in collaboration with the Italian Ministry of
- 3:29Speaker 1: Enterprises and Made in Italy, the Italian Ministry of Foreign
- 3:32Speaker 1: Affairs and Azerbaijan's Ministry of Economy. During the event, an
