- 1:15Speaker 1: I'm great.
- 1:16Speaker 1: So I met Kayla with Girl Power Alliance.
- 1:20Speaker 1: She was a guest on a Wednesday.
- 1:21Speaker 1: I guess you know the CEO real well, michelle Schaefer, or you know her, I know of her for many years, when she was in Isagenix and I was.
- 1:32Speaker 2: I did that with her, I tried to, and then I had to make a decision.
- 1:37Speaker 2: It was either that or getting to real estate and I made a decision.
- 1:41Speaker 1: Wow, that's fascinating because I could tell Michelle was just beaming like a mother over your testimony.
- 1:48Speaker 1: Now Kayla will delve into you straight y'all, and I think to find the transformation we need to hear a little bit about your story.
- 1:58Speaker 1: Yeah, Can you touch on that a little?
- 2:01Speaker 2: Yeah, you've obviously have heard, but I plan to write a book and eventually a Hollywood film, because there's so many pieces and parts to my story, so I'll try my best to make it as quick as possible.
- 2:17Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:17Speaker 1: I understand, and then that's cool.
- 2:19Speaker 1: Yeah, it's going to be challenging, I'm sure.
- 2:22Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:22Speaker 2: Yeah, I grew up, born and raised in Orange County.
- 2:27Speaker 2: I had two different households.
- 2:28Speaker 2: My parents divorced when I was one, so my stepmom and my dad were together.
- 2:33Speaker 2: So I grew up in between two different households with my sister, and it was two very different beliefs in both households.
- 2:42Speaker 2: We have my dad and my stepmom that were Christians.
- 2:46Speaker 2: We would go to church every Sunday, but when we went home, nothing ever really aligned with everything that we were teaching.
- 2:52Speaker 2: So at a very young age I was already questioning God, is he even real?
- 2:57Speaker 2: Like nothing ever made sense.
- 2:59Speaker 2: And of course, the church I went to was good, but I didn't understand anything.
- 3:07Speaker 2: And then my mom's household.
- 3:11Speaker 2: She was an atheist, I think she's dabbled in some of the witchcraft stuff, and so I was very confused at a very young age.
- 3:20Speaker 2: So it was really tough.
- 3:22Speaker 2: My mom basically made it a living hell for my dad.
- 3:27Speaker 2: It was really sad.
- 3:28Speaker 2: I remember my dad coming up to me and my sister and he basically told me that, told us that he wouldn't hug us or kiss us, because every time he would give us affection my mom would call the cops saying that he has sexually harassed us.
- 3:45Speaker 2: Obviously, none of that has ever been true, but at such a young age not getting that love from your father, it was really hard as a young girl, you know.
- 3:55Speaker 2: Yeah, so it was.
- 3:57Speaker 2: That's just one thing.
- 3:58Speaker 2: It was hard throughout my whole childhood and so it was a survival mode.
- 4:06Speaker 2: I was the younger sister but I was very protective over my older sister and it was tough.
- 4:13Speaker 2: But going into high school I feel like things start looking up a little bit more.
- 4:17Speaker 2: I started coming into my own.
- 4:19Speaker 2: I started doing things that made me happy, like dancing and things like that, and then, at the age of 17, I got pregnant and that was unacceptable in my family, but abortion was not an option.
- 4:32Speaker 2: So they gave me an ultimatum.
- 4:34Speaker 2: They basically said for you to find an adoption family or to give up my child or keep my child and leave home.
- 4:43Speaker 2: Considering my parents were very strict, I remember always being grounded.
- 4:49Speaker 2: I'd never had the best grades, come to find out.
- 4:52Speaker 2: In my adult life I found out I actually have mild dyslexia, adhd and ADHD, but my parents never looked into if I have any issues.
- 5:03Speaker 2: I had a learning disability and it's been really tough.
- 5:08Speaker 2: It still is and I'm learning from it and I'm definitely getting better.
- 5:12Speaker 2: Now I'm speaking on stages.
- 5:13Speaker 2: I think I'm doing OK.
- 5:16Speaker 1: But the trauma just heightened that.
- 5:18Speaker 1: I mean you're in the midst of some of the most severe trauma.
- 5:21Speaker 1: So even if you do have those things, my goodness, I'm so glad I'm talking to you sitting on this couch, because that is not, I know, the path of that.
- 5:31Speaker 1: That is brutal, thank you.
- 5:34Speaker 1: Yeah, so you had a challenge, though.
- 5:37Speaker 1: You went into high school, started to find your own, but another challenge presented.
- 5:41Speaker 1: Yeah, no-transcript.
- 5:45Speaker 2: As a sheltered child and not having any life, real life experience, of course, I found an adoption family to take my son and, seven months pregnant, something very empowering came over me.
- 5:58Speaker 2: I didn't know what it was at the time, but now what I know.
- 6:01Speaker 2: Now it was God speaking through me because all of a sudden, I had this confidence, came up to my parents and said I'm gonna keep my son and everything inside of me was telling me to keep him.
- 6:14Speaker 2: And that's when they basically Took me, drove me to a shelter, signed me off, and that was that.
- 6:22Speaker 1: I Left home and I had your child, yet when they dropped you off or you're still pregnant, I was still pregnant at seven.
- 6:30Speaker 2: Oh, bless you.
- 6:30Speaker 2: Wow, yeah.
- 6:31Speaker 2: Yeah, it was.
- 6:34Speaker 2: Obviously that was hard, because I lost what I thought I had and my family.
- 6:40Speaker 2: I thought they loved me.
- 6:42Speaker 2: So that started a whole.
- 6:45Speaker 2: I Started feeling unworthy, undeserving.
- 6:49Speaker 2: Why don't my parents love me?
- 6:50Speaker 2: What?
- 6:51Speaker 2: Why is this wrong?
- 6:52Speaker 2: Like I, but everything inside of me told me that I had to fight for my son.
- 6:56Speaker 2: And then when I disappeared because a lot of people ask, like, what happened to the dad I Was not able to communicate and it have a phone or anything.
- 7:09Speaker 2: So I had.
- 7:12Speaker 2: I had my sister come pick me up from the shelter to take me, to give me a ride to the father of my son's house to let him know what happened, how I disappeared, where I was and you know, being pregnant at 17 and losing my family, I thought it made the most sense to tell him let's get married and do this whole family thing.
- 7:35Speaker 2: And then that's when he basically told me that he got another girl pregnant and they're getting married.
- 7:42Speaker 2: Oh so it Did not work out.
- 7:44Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, so, yeah, so it was after that.
- 7:52Speaker 2: Honestly, I don't remember much.
- 7:55Speaker 2: My, I have very bad memory loss.
- 7:57Speaker 2: Sure, I just remember somehow I ended up back at the shelter and I was just a shell.
- 8:03Speaker 2: I'd had no soul.
- 8:04Speaker 2: I didn't know what I was doing.
- 8:06Speaker 2: I don't know what was gonna happen, and it was.
- 8:10Speaker 2: It was a mess.
- 8:11Speaker 2: And then on my 18th birthday, I was transferred to another shelter because I was no longer a minor.
- 8:17Speaker 2: The first shelter I lived in was for minors.
- 8:19Speaker 1: Okay so.
- 8:20Speaker 2: I I transferred to another shelter in the city of Orange and I was the youngest one and all the women in that home just like Treated me like their little daughter or sister and I started feelings more love and Amazing yeah.
- 8:40Speaker 2: So I finished high school, I got my first car, I got my driver license.
- 8:44Speaker 2: So I started seeing progress, yeah, feeling better about myself, and Eventually I left the shelter.
- 8:53Speaker 2: So our renting rooms off Craigslist.
- 8:56Speaker 1: Yeah, that's the way to do it.
- 8:57Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah.
- 8:59Speaker 2: Back then it was 500 bucks a month.
- 9:02Speaker 1: Yeah, they weren't the best places, but you at least had a room.
- 9:07Speaker 1: Yeah, I know you were got.
- 9:09Speaker 1: There was a point where you were a go-getter.
- 9:10Speaker 1: I think it was cuz hey, this is my son, I'm gonna provide Mm-hmm.
- 9:15Speaker 1: So what were some of the first jobs that you were even able to take, your son, I believe?
- 9:19Speaker 1: I remember.
- 9:20Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, every single job you can think of, I've done it.
- 9:24Speaker 2: I yeah, I just I've worked at kiosk, as I worked at the malls.
- 9:29Speaker 2: I sold makeup, I tried to do life insurance, I was an excellence technician, I did a bottle service, I did bartending.
- 9:38Speaker 2: Every night job Like I just I've done.
- 9:40Speaker 2: I did it all, yeah, but but the good news is I was so young that I had the energy to do it, yeah you're always like two jobs and doing something.
- 9:49Speaker 1: Take us to the.
- 9:50Speaker 1: I think it was the beauty salon when you would take your son, but then they started complaining and you found an angel to take care of your son.
- 9:59Speaker 2: I'd love to hear that story, oh oh yes, so for backstory, so people understand, I did end up going to beauty school.
- 10:08Speaker 2: I got my cosmetology license and then I got into hair and makeup so I started building my business from there and then Eventually I went to men's hair.
- 10:18Speaker 2: So I went back to school, got my barber license and became a barber, but I started off at a men's salon, and then that's when Jordan was probably, oh my gosh, five or six.
- 10:29Speaker 2: So he's a ball of energy, right.
- 10:30Speaker 2: So I would bring him to the salon on my lunch break.
- 10:34Speaker 2: I would go pick him up from school and then bring him back to the salon and he would hang out in the back until I Finished my day's work.
- 10:40Speaker 2: Wow, I couldn't afford a babysitter.
- 10:42Speaker 2: Then that's when things Clients apparently started complaining.
- 10:49Speaker 2: It was a men's salon guys.
- 10:50Speaker 2: So a bunch of grown guys were complaining that there was a child in the salon.
- 10:56Speaker 2: Like how pathetic is that?
- 10:57Speaker 2: That's that anyways.
- 10:58Speaker 2: This is Orange County, okay.
- 11:03Speaker 2: So the owner came up to me and she was a single mom too.
- 11:06Speaker 2: So she understood me and she basically was like Listen, I understand your situation is difficult, but I'm so sorry you have to get a babysitter and I'm like I cannot afford one.
- 11:15Speaker 2: I believe I was still like on food stamps, like I was in the government system.
- 11:22Speaker 2: It was hard.
- 11:22Speaker 2: One of the hairstylists told me about this woman named Lupe and Told she said listen, just give her a shot, talk to her.
- 11:32Speaker 2: You literally have nothing to lose.
- 11:33Speaker 2: So I was like alright, I'll give it a shot.
- 11:38Speaker 2: So I meet this woman and I'm very at this point in my life I'm very standoffish.
- 11:44Speaker 2: I'm like I don't get close to people.
- 11:45Speaker 2: I'm I have a super guard up.
- 11:46Speaker 2: Everyone has hurt me like.
- 11:50Speaker 2: I'm trying not to get close to anyone, she was anyone.
- 11:58Speaker 2: She basically meets my son and what I didn't know until after was she just lost her grandson.
- 12:05Speaker 2: Not lost, like he's fine, he's alive.
- 12:09Speaker 2: But I meant there was some legal custom go customs going on when she wasn't able to see her grandson at all, and they were about the same age, so my son Replaced that.
- 12:28Speaker 2: What she lost was able to see her grandson, and she basically looked at me.
- 12:33Speaker 2: She's like listen, kayla, I'll take care of Jordan, just pay me when you can.
- 12:36Speaker 2: And no joke, she watched my son for free for a whole year.
- 12:42Speaker 1: Beautiful.
- 12:43Speaker 2: Oh, she was sent from God.
- 12:45Speaker 2: I don't know what I would have done without her.
- 12:47Speaker 2: Yeah, and then, when I was able to pay her, I then I was like here, take all my money.
- 12:52Speaker 2: I was so thankful and grateful For you and that was like it would again.
- 12:59Speaker 2: She was a godsend and I didn't realize it at the time, but God has always had his hand on me throughout this whole process.
- 13:06Speaker 2: Yes, I just had another podcast interview this morning before speaking to you, teresa, and it's so incredible because when I just committed to God for the first time last summer and and then it was like all these flashbacks came to mind and it was like every single time I could have been murdered.
- 13:30Speaker 2: I could have been taken advantage of.
- 13:31Speaker 2: I could have been raped.
- 13:33Speaker 2: Anything could have happened to me.
- 13:34Speaker 2: I've never shared this before, but there was a time, before I bought my car, I was walking the streets of Santa Ana to take bus stops to take buses on bus stops with my baby in one hand and my diaper bag and backpack.
- 13:48Speaker 2: On the other hand, I'm the whole five, two.
- 13:51Speaker 2: Okay, I'm a tiny little girl and imagine, like walking the streets at the time it wasn't as safe as it is now.
- 14:00Speaker 2: I was being cat called.
- 14:02Speaker 2: Wherever I went, I did it in the rain, when it was windy.
- 14:06Speaker 1: Santa Ana wins we all know about that.
- 14:08Speaker 2: So there were so many moments that just came to mind where I was, like I could have been taken advantage.
- 14:14Speaker 2: They could have taken my son, they could.
- 14:16Speaker 2: There were just so many terrible things that started going through my head.
- 14:20Speaker 2: I'm like God has been protecting us the entire time and I didn't know, I didn't realize.
- 14:27Speaker 1: Yeah, such purpose.
- 14:28Speaker 1: That's got to speak to someone.
- 14:30Speaker 1: You're in the dumps.
- 14:31Speaker 1: God hasn't forgotten you.
- 14:33Speaker 1: He can bring you.
- 14:34Speaker 1: What's your name?
- 14:35Speaker 1: Lupe, lupe, yeah, lupe, and Lupe was.
- 14:38Speaker 1: That's amazing.
- 14:40Speaker 1: What you just shared, lupe was taking your son to church and talking to the Lord, to him, and while you're working and that's just God working, isn't it?
- 14:54Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, cause my son had a relationship with God way before I came to God.
- 15:00Speaker 1: Yeah, what did he say?
- 15:01Speaker 1: When you found out, you guys saved, did he say it's about time, mom.
- 15:04Speaker 1: Is that what he said?
- 15:06Speaker 2: He was like it's about time.
- 15:07Speaker 2: I've been praying for this for years.
- 15:09Speaker 2: Oh my gosh.
- 15:11Speaker 1: Oh no, and I know that's going to speak to someone how God can protect you in the midst of your junk.
- 15:20Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 15:22Speaker 1: So let me take another turn, this one.
- 15:27Speaker 1: We talked off camera so I didn't ask offensive questions, but how in the world did you land the Netflix reality show?
- 15:38Speaker 1: Is it selling the OC?
- 15:39Speaker 1: Is that what it is?
- 15:40Speaker 1: Yes, selling the OC.
- 15:41Speaker 1: You must have been a good realtor before then, or when did you get your realtor's license?
- 15:46Speaker 2: So I got my license in 2019.
- 15:49Speaker 2: Very good, yeah, yeah.
- 15:50Speaker 2: So I got my license 2019.
- 15:52Speaker 2: I was a assistant for a top producer at another brokerage down in San Clemente.
- 15:56Speaker 2: That that's where I started my real estate career.
- 15:58Speaker 2: Very nice, yeah, for about a year.
- 16:00Speaker 2: So I was very blessed to find that position because they just threw me in with the sharks.
- 16:06Speaker 2: They're like you're gonna learn today I would have 12 hour days.
- 16:10Speaker 2: I was still cutting hair, I was still bartending.
- 16:13Speaker 2: Wow, I was just making it work.
- 16:15Speaker 2: Because, for everyone listening, if you're getting into real estate, just plan that hey, listen, you're not gonna make money for the first couple of years.
- 16:23Speaker 2: You're gonna have to get a second job, maybe even a third job to make ends meet until you get there.
- 16:29Speaker 2: But you gotta keep.
- 16:31Speaker 2: You have to keep pushing, you have to keep going, otherwise that's just the name of the games.
- 16:36Speaker 2: It's not for everyone, but if you want it, you have to go get it.
- 16:40Speaker 1: It definitely displays how hard worker it is.
- 16:43Speaker 1: It's almost like you were predisposed to that, because you'd already survived.
- 16:47Speaker 1: I was built for that for sure, there's a little five-toot woman everywhere, and then she goes into real estate, so you start to get successful.
- 16:56Speaker 1: But how did the open-haven, as I've said, how did that cross over to them?
- 17:01Speaker 1: I think it's fascinating.
- 17:02Speaker 1: I don't think he talked about this.
- 17:05Speaker 2: No, so it's the Oppenheim group, but it's okay how do you say it?
- 17:08Speaker 2: Again Oppenheim, it's okay, everyone says it's okay, people say Oppenheimer too, and I'm just like there's no ER yeah and they're, like one of them, my best relatives, so I'm sorry.
- 17:23Speaker 2: Yeah, no, don't be sorry, everyone gets their name messed up.
- 17:27Speaker 2: Okay so, yeah, six months in meeting.
- 17:31Speaker 2: So I assisted for a year and then, six months in, I became an actual like realtor on that team and I was doing great.
- 17:42Speaker 2: I was closing one or two or deals a month.
- 17:44Speaker 2: And then they reached out to me on Instagram Wow, yeah.
- 17:49Speaker 2: And I asked them I'm like, how'd you guys find me?
- 17:52Speaker 2: And they said that another realtor woman actually referred me and I don't know who she is.
- 18:00Speaker 2: I wish I did so, I could thank her.
- 18:02Speaker 2: But yeah, they found me on Instagram.
- 18:06Speaker 2: I thought it was a scam.
- 18:07Speaker 2: When I saw their first DM, I'm like, yeah, okay, and I deleted it.
- 18:11Speaker 2: And then they found my email and they emailed me and the signature said done and done productions.
- 18:21Speaker 2: I was like.
- 18:21Speaker 2: And then so of course, I googled it.
- 18:23Speaker 2: I was like, oh wait, what this might be real.
- 18:26Speaker 2: So I entertained it a little bit.
- 18:29Speaker 2: But then, the first time I actually said no, because I asked them, I said, listen, do I have to leave my brokerage to join this show?
- 18:38Speaker 2: And they're like, yeah, you would have to join the Oppenheim group.
- 18:40Speaker 2: And I said then I'm not going to do it because I'm very loyal to them.
- 18:45Speaker 2: And then, as time went by and this was during COVID, so everything was delayed.
- 18:50Speaker 2: But as time went by they reached out again actually, and they're just like, we just want to check in.
- 18:58Speaker 2: And I'm just like, and things were already happening at my old brokerage that was making me question if my time was up there.
- 19:05Speaker 2: Yeah, so I was like, okay, let me just entertain it.
- 19:09Speaker 2: No commitment and nothing's really going to happen.
- 19:12Speaker 2: And in my head I was thinking I'm probably not even going to make it anyways.
- 19:18Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, let me just do it for the experience, okay.
- 19:22Speaker 2: So I went through the interview process and then I didn't hear from them for like months, like four or five months, and I actually forgot about them.
- 19:32Speaker 2: And I'm just like, oh, okay.
- 19:33Speaker 2: And then they reached out again asking for photos of me and my son when he was a baby, and I was like, oh wait, you guys are still doing this.
- 19:43Speaker 2: And they're like, yeah, delayed COVID.
- 19:46Speaker 2: So I was like, oh, okay, so I sent them videos or photos, whatever.
- 19:51Speaker 2: And then, yeah, long story short, ended up on a call with Adam de Villa himself, which, by the way, I didn't even own a TV at the time.
- 19:59Speaker 2: I never had a TV, so I didn't even know who Adam de Villa was.
- 20:03Speaker 2: Let it look how he looks like, and I find out later.
- 20:07Speaker 2: I'm on this call with Adam de Villa, which is the main producer, and he also made the OC and I think we're going to feature the Hills.
- 20:15Speaker 2: I don't know, I can't keep up because I've never seen any of those shows.
- 20:18Speaker 2: And he's like yeah, we would like to cast you and it took a minute for it to process.
- 20:25Speaker 2: And I remember him saying are you excited?
- 20:28Speaker 2: I'm like yeah, but like what?
- 20:31Speaker 2: I was so because I didn't think it was gonna like actually happen.
- 20:37Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah.
- 20:38Speaker 1: So for those who don't know the show, give a little brief rundown on what the show is about.
- 20:44Speaker 1: Cause some people like well Netflix, cause it's fascinating.
- 20:48Speaker 2: So it's supposed to be about real estate, but when you watch it it's not about real estate, it's drama.
- 20:56Speaker 1: There's all these drama, but I will say I have never seen homes like that.
- 21:01Speaker 1: I do.
- 21:03Speaker 1: I do enjoy watching it, just so I could see you, but I enjoy watching it.
- 21:07Speaker 1: There's homes.
- 21:08Speaker 1: I couldn't even fathom that home would be in heaven, but it's right down there in Orange County.
- 21:14Speaker 1: Yeah, you're in this office.
- 21:16Speaker 1: Can I just interpret?
- 21:18Speaker 1: And Kayla told me she wasn't saved then.
- 21:21Speaker 1: But you see something, once again, I think the hand of God was on your life.
- 21:24Speaker 1: You see, really, from season one to season two and I think I just finished is it season three?
- 21:31Speaker 2: So season three comes out, probably March or April, I think they announced it.
- 21:36Speaker 1: I will say, from season one to season two you were different.
- 21:39Speaker 1: There was, I think, the hand of God was already on your life because you proved the B's, that they were wrong.
- 21:48Speaker 1: In season one and then in season two, you just stood your ground and I remember I gotta tell you this I remember the first episode I think it was you had just sold like a major and I'm like, yes, I'm getting so involved.
- 22:01Speaker 1: Yes, go, kayla, I don't care.
- 22:04Speaker 1: I do not care that you were not saved then because God was working on you for that moment.
- 22:09Speaker 1: But can I say to you, I saw a character, I saw you stand up against those women.
- 22:16Speaker 1: It's really drama guys.
- 22:18Speaker 1: Don't watch it if you can't handle a bunch of drama, but watch it to cheer Kayla on, even just the same.
- 22:24Speaker 1: Okay, so that we got that one.
- 22:26Speaker 1: I just wanted to ask Thank you.
- 22:29Speaker 1: Are you gonna be on season three then?
- 22:30Speaker 1: But you weren't saved then.
- 22:31Speaker 1: Is that correct?
- 22:33Speaker 2: I sure am.
- 22:34Speaker 2: Oh good, but season three, I think, will be the best, for me at least.
- 22:38Speaker 1: Okay, and let me explain to them that you probably can't do, but these are people who are in reality TV.
- 22:46Speaker 1: There was a strike going on, so these reality TV popped up.
- 22:50Speaker 1: It's correct me if I'm wrong, because I know I have a friend who was interviewed by someone in one of these shows, not this one.
- 22:56Speaker 1: You're sleep defy, you don't get a lot to eat and they pour alcohol down.
- 23:01Speaker 1: You Is that right?
- 23:02Speaker 1: That sounds about right, yeah.
- 23:04Speaker 1: So imagine that guy as you put yourself in her place.
- 23:07Speaker 1: I don't know about you, but I can't drink a beer without food.
- 23:11Speaker 1: I don't drink much anymore.
- 23:13Speaker 1: I love a good beer, but anyway.
- 23:14Speaker 1: So we get that up.
- 23:16Speaker 1: So now God is working.
- 23:17Speaker 1: This is what I think I said off camera, or maybe I've said this already, but when someone like Kayla faces her stuff, and she faces her mental stuff and she doesn't stuff it, what comes out, what you're gonna see, what you're seeing right now, is wisdom and insight that turns into transformation, power to minister to people.
- 23:38Speaker 1: And, kayla, I know I'm praying for your webinar tonight at 6 pm Pacific time, because there's so many women that need your words, that need your example.
- 23:49Speaker 1: Then you know what testimony means in Hebrew it means do it again, god.
- 23:54Speaker 1: So you're a living.
- 23:56Speaker 1: You're a living, breathing testimony for women who can understand trauma.
- 24:02Speaker 1: Girl, I can understand trauma.
- 24:04Speaker 1: I was in 26 years.
- 24:05Speaker 1: I can say it because it's my story of a marriage that where I was married to a narcissist so I know what it means to get that caked off mental stuff, to be able to find yourself and to be able to find your voice, to be proud of yourself.
- 24:19Speaker 1: So tell us, talk to us through that curve now where God is setting up stages, he's setting up your coaching business.
- 24:27Speaker 1: How did that come about and how do you feel where you are now with that responsibility?
- 24:33Speaker 1: Really, oh, you think?
- 24:34Speaker 1: women.
- 24:35Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, I'm so excited for you.
- 24:38Speaker 2: Oh, thank you.
- 24:39Speaker 2: That was beautiful.
- 24:39Speaker 2: No one has ever asked me that before, so thank you for that.
- 24:43Speaker 2: No, I really appreciate it.
- 24:45Speaker 2: So I actually started a lot of people don't know this I started getting involved into the personal development world as far as sharing my stories, speaking on stages back in 2019, actually and I even started my podcast called Pain to Power, which I just brought back, by the way, yes, I know.
- 25:06Speaker 2: Years later, I was like God was tugging at me.
- 25:09Speaker 2: He was like you need to do this and I'm like I have too much on my plate.
- 25:13Speaker 2: Nope, you need to do this.
- 25:14Speaker 2: I'm like, fine, so I did it.
- 25:16Speaker 2: I brought it back, so, yeah, you guys can find that on all of this podcast, pain to Power with Kayla Cardona.
- 25:22Speaker 2: So I was already in that world and it was already like tugging at my heart, like I knew it was something I've always wanted to do.
- 25:30Speaker 2: Well, obviously, when COVID happened, just like the rest of the world, I went into a deep depression because I started focusing on things that I could not control and I started learning about what's been going on with politics and the vaccines and being a mama bear.
- 25:50Speaker 2: I was becoming overprotective and I'm like why does my son have to do a vaccine?
- 25:55Speaker 2: And I don't want to make this about like I understand politics, stuff.
- 25:59Speaker 2: but yeah, so I was just like I didn't anyway.
- 26:04Speaker 2: So it was a dark time for me and I stopped investing in myself, I stopped learning, I stopped working out, I stopped working on myself.
- 26:15Speaker 2: I just got in this weird place, and I just feel like a lot of people can relate to that, because it took some time to get out of that rut.
- 26:24Speaker 2: I think what happened was I think I've been so hardheaded and stubborn for all my life, for so long, but God literally had to say okay, if you cannot see me, let me go ahead and put you on a TV screen so you can see yourself, to see what you're doing.
- 26:55Speaker 2: That blows me away but it's true, because it really wasn't Teresa until I saw myself on TV and I go Kid happening, what's, what is this?
- 27:08Speaker 2: I would don't get me wrong.
- 27:10Speaker 2: I wasn't like terrible.
- 27:12Speaker 2: Obviously my authenticity was showing and I related to a lot of people, started sharing my story and all the things.
- 27:17Speaker 2: But there was things that I've done and said and behaviors that I was not proud of and I just looked at myself.
- 27:23Speaker 2: I'm like, and Also I was caring about what people were thinking about me and I was crying about everything.
- 27:29Speaker 2: I was emotional.
- 27:31Speaker 2: I over drank half of the time.
- 27:32Speaker 2: I was blacked out because I was drunk off of tequila and I mixed with champagne.
- 27:37Speaker 2: It was terrible.
- 27:38Speaker 2: That would be, yeah, so I'm just like, what am I doing?
- 27:43Speaker 2: And so I finally got to a place where I was like Something needs to change right now.
- 27:49Speaker 2: And then I would question why am I even on this show?
- 27:52Speaker 2: Why did God even give this opportunity to me?
- 27:55Speaker 2: Why and really I finally realized, and it finally hit me is that he had to make me see my own self on TV, to see what needs to change.
- 28:06Speaker 2: I needed to find him.
- 28:09Speaker 2: Obviously I Found him a little bit after season one came out, obviously last summer, but it took me some time again.
- 28:17Speaker 2: I was still very stubborn, yeah, but also it gave me a platform to reach more people, so it made me.
- 28:27Speaker 2: I started again.
- 28:29Speaker 2: I, I released the old identity.
- 28:33Speaker 2: I released toxic People that were around me.
- 28:37Speaker 2: I kept people close to me that I knew genuinely cared for me, which is so extremely important.
- 28:43Speaker 2: Oh gosh, write that down, guys.
- 28:45Speaker 2: Yeah, and then I started Meeting the right people, right?
- 28:50Speaker 2: So when you Clear out the toxicity and you clear out the bad people around you, bad energy, you make room for good to come to you, right?
- 29:00Speaker 2: Yeah so that's when things started right.
- 29:03Speaker 2: People started coming into my life.
- 29:04Speaker 2: So then, obviously it wasn't really until I had an encounter with God.
- 29:11Speaker 2: Hmm and then this is something that I haven't really shared with a lot of people and I did not share on Michelle's call, so I'm gonna share it with you, okay.
- 29:20Speaker 2: So there was a lot more that happened after my encounter with God.
- 29:24Speaker 2: I didn't realize it was him until Some time after, and it wasn't until I met these powerful Christian couple that are doing very well in in life and they're very their life coaches.
- 29:37Speaker 2: They are speakers as well, and they told me an experience that they had about a deliverance.
- 29:42Speaker 2: So then I was like that's it that I need to do that?
- 29:46Speaker 2: Yeah, and so I got their contact.
- 29:48Speaker 2: I went through the deliverance and that's when everything just freaking, hit me.
- 29:53Speaker 2: Yeah, and it was such a crazy experience for all the Christians listening to this.
- 29:58Speaker 2: If you do not know about a Deliverance, go look it up, and or if you're thinking about doing it, you need to do it.
- 30:06Speaker 1: It's fine reputable people who are.
- 30:08Speaker 1: I know exactly what you're saying.
- 30:09Speaker 1: I think every Christian should go through deliverance.
- 30:11Speaker 2: Sorry, yeah, no, okay.
- 30:14Speaker 1: But make sure you find the right one, because I know exactly what she's unveiling.
- 30:18Speaker 1: There's something when you meet the face of God and you have people around you that allow you to walk from this Stuff, that's a hold on you, it's evil, it's the enemy.
- 30:29Speaker 1: But when you walk into the light, what's revealed in the light is covered in the blood.
- 30:33Speaker 1: And tell me, did you just feel like 20 pounds, if not more, lifted after you went through that?
- 30:37Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, I felt like I was glowing.
- 30:39Speaker 2: I Was like and let me tell you something, the biggest demon that was inside of me was the spirit of rejection.
- 30:48Speaker 2: Oh, and it just all made sense.
- 30:52Speaker 2: I'm like oh my gosh, it went back all the way to my childhood.
- 30:55Speaker 2: It was.
- 30:56Speaker 2: I was sweating, I was, my body was being thrown back and forth Right, but it didn't hurt, obviously right, because Satan and the demons don't have the authority to hurt us.
- 31:08Speaker 2: Come on, yeah, so I wasn't scared.
- 31:11Speaker 2: I felt very safe.
- 31:12Speaker 2: I knew that the eight, my angels and God was surrounding me and protecting me.
- 31:17Speaker 2: It just needed to be done and it after that, I said, okay, let's get to work, and I started stepping into what I knew I should be doing.
- 31:27Speaker 2: I Coaching brought my podcast back, then I started meeting all these people.
- 31:33Speaker 2: Then I started getting all these Speaking gigs that I'm getting on all these stages.
- 31:37Speaker 2: I'm like, okay, god, like dig, I know you want to work through me.
- 31:40Speaker 2: Yeah, I love this.
- 31:42Speaker 2: You start open all these crazy doors and I'm just like wow, here we go, let's go.
- 31:49Speaker 1: They some God cool that he wanted to make sure that the deliverance happened.
- 31:52Speaker 1: I think of it.
- 31:53Speaker 1: The deliverance happened and all those Rejection and all those hurts, they became scars.
- 31:59Speaker 1: So you can speak from your scars.
- 32:01Speaker 1: You can't speak from, let's say, you didn't get the Deliverance.
- 32:04Speaker 1: You did, your emotions and everything would be all over.
- 32:06Speaker 1: You step on stage and, yeah, all the rejection would hit you.
- 32:09Speaker 1: It's like God is so good and I know that there are women listening who need you and I'm so excited because You've gone through hell and have come out glowing and that's possible.
- 32:23Speaker 1: Someone's listening right now in this podcast.
- 32:25Speaker 1: You need to.
- 32:26Speaker 1: If it's deliverance, you need to find someone that is reputable, that you really can trust.
- 32:31Speaker 1: Okay, because a lot of people say their deliverance, some people call it sozoes, but I think Kayla is talking about a full-on deliverance and I believe in it Because you may be a Christian, but there are demons that want to continue to take up residence inside of you.
- 32:48Speaker 1: And guess what did?
- 32:49Speaker 1: Kayla said it we're not subject to them.
- 32:52Speaker 1: They're subject to us because we got the Holy Spirit in us.
- 32:55Speaker 1: So take that confidence.
- 32:56Speaker 1: Wait, I'm not subject to this.
- 32:58Speaker 1: It's subject to me because Jesus is in me.
- 33:01Speaker 2: Whoa, give me a kiss.
- 33:02Speaker 2: I love it.
- 33:03Speaker 2: I love it.
- 33:04Speaker 2: It's so beautiful.
- 33:05Speaker 2: So then of course they're gonna try to creep in and then sure you learn about, and I learned so much just within that three-hour session and I was like, wow.
- 33:14Speaker 2: So whenever I have any sort of fear start getting in my head, or doubt, or imposter syndrome.
- 33:20Speaker 2: I'm just gonna say yeah.
- 33:23Speaker 1: I'm just I know that.
- 33:25Speaker 2: oh, I just say, I rebuke you, I know you don't belong here.
- 33:28Speaker 2: Thanks for stopping by, but get out, you're done.
- 33:31Speaker 1: Oh Lee.
- 33:32Speaker 2: Yeah, sometimes I'll even like I call it my mom's voice and I would just like firmly ask you do not belong here, get out and when you really like, hone into that.
- 33:45Speaker 2: You just you take all the power away from yeah and you know.
- 33:48Speaker 2: And then you ask Lord, continue to fill me with the Holy Spirit, and you just move on.
- 33:53Speaker 1: Do you have you noticed, now that you're walking in this, have you noticed?
- 33:57Speaker 1: It doesn't matter what you say, but you can enter rooms and you can feel that God is shifting the atmosphere through.
- 34:03Speaker 1: You're not paying yourself on your back, you just realize how big God is and he set you up.
- 34:08Speaker 1: Just by your presence, like just by your presence on this podcast, you are shifting the Atmospheres of people, anyone listening.
- 34:15Speaker 1: I think you're shifting atmospheres and they're not listening and they're drawn to this.
- 34:19Speaker 1: Do you have you noticed that more?
- 34:21Speaker 1: I'm just curious.
- 34:23Speaker 2: I, you know what.
- 34:24Speaker 2: No, but you're not the first okay person that has told me this.
- 34:28Speaker 2: I think it's because all I think about is how I can serve you and what message that I, again, like you said, I Allow the Holy Spirit to speak through me and it's whatever just comes up at the top of my mind and my heart.
- 34:46Speaker 2: Yeah, and what I feel is the right Like message that needs to be said for everyone to hear.
- 34:54Speaker 2: I completely, it's like when I go on stage, I used to get scared.
- 34:58Speaker 2: Now it's Now.
- 35:00Speaker 2: I think about you, I eliminate myself from the equation, okay and I just think about how can I serve at least one person in this crowd.
- 35:11Speaker 2: That's it.
- 35:12Speaker 2: I don't think about the.
- 35:15Speaker 2: I hear you and I appreciate that and I love that so much that you say that, but I really don't think about that and I'm I also feel like I'm Stay very humble, yeah, so I just don't think like that.
- 35:29Speaker 1: What I hear you saying is you understand that it's not about you, it's just you're just represent him.
- 35:35Speaker 1: So so, let's, you got something coming up tonight.
- 35:39Speaker 1: I'm gonna air this, of course.
- 35:40Speaker 1: So many are watching and commenting.
- 35:42Speaker 1: Thank you, live.
- 35:44Speaker 1: What you got tonight and this is all part of.
- 35:47Speaker 1: I gotta say something.
- 35:49Speaker 1: You've got a powerful coaching program coming up and I really believe that you had to go through that deliverance because, in the world's view Okay, I'm not the world, you're a young Christian, but God, just like super, charged you and I really think the deliverance is what's pushed you forward.
- 36:05Speaker 1: And because a lot of people don't, please, on behalf of these old crusty Christians I'm not crusty, but I'm old Don't let anyone tell you're too young to do this.
- 36:14Speaker 1: Okay, I'm just gonna come on out and say that, oh, you haven't been in the and don't go to cemetery seminary no disrespect on seminary, you don't need that.
- 36:23Speaker 1: When you got what, you got what God's given you.
- 36:25Speaker 1: So I just had to say that I'm just pouring, that.
- 36:28Speaker 1: I'm an old, wise sage pouring that on you.
- 36:33Speaker 2: Sorry, I don't want to interrupt you, but I've, I'm slowly.
- 36:36Speaker 2: Every single morning I read a little bit in the Bible and sometimes I'll randomly choose.
- 36:41Speaker 2: I just allow God to guide me and I'll rent ill randomly, just, oh, you need to read this.
- 36:47Speaker 2: I'm like, okay, let's go.
- 36:48Speaker 2: So I start reading.
- 36:49Speaker 2: But there was a part in there and I'm really bad I'm.
- 36:52Speaker 2: I want, I'm praying to God to give me the gift of memorization so that I can start, like, actually seeing these scriptures.
- 36:59Speaker 2: But there is a piece in the Bible that I read recently about how we do need to get connected with the older Christians and Learn from their wisdom.
- 37:09Speaker 2: So for you to speak that way, I want you to understand that I meant to connect with you, yeah, and I pray for people like you and I want to be surrounded by Amen or older Christians that have that wisdom, because there's so much I can learn from you, so you're way appreciated.
- 37:28Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm like a good.
- 37:29Speaker 1: I believe we need more Godmothers, godly Wisdom and women who are raising up, because I see, listen, kill it.
- 37:37Speaker 1: I Can't speak to your audience.
- 37:39Speaker 1: I Can talk about AI to them, but I really can't Transformatively speak to your audience.
- 37:46Speaker 1: So that's why I really am.
- 37:48Speaker 1: I'm in your grandstands for life.
- 37:50Speaker 1: I'm waving my little white hanky.
- 37:52Speaker 1: Okay, so You're going into coaching, so tell us a little bit about that.
- 37:58Speaker 1: I know you have a free webinar 6 pm PST.

- 38:40Speaker 1: I'm an old sage who loves artificial intelligence.
- 38:44Speaker 2: So I don't know anything about that.
- 38:51Speaker 1: I believe that people who go we're gonna saw a subject, but can I go here?
- 38:56Speaker 1: They go.
- 38:57Speaker 1: Artificial dosing from the devil.
- 39:00Speaker 1: I'm like, no, it's not okay.
- 39:01Speaker 1: See this pin.
- 39:02Speaker 1: Yeah, this is a tool.
- 39:03Speaker 1: It can be used for good things or and it can be used for evil things.
- 39:07Speaker 1: Look at the internet.
- 39:08Speaker 1: It can be used for good things.
- 39:09Speaker 1: They're gonna be used for evil things and I really believe kingdom people like us, kayla, we're gonna be on the cutting edge of things like artificial intelligence, not for the woo-woo and the ugly side.
- 39:20Speaker 1: But hey, I want you to have 10 more hours to focus on what you love best.
- 39:24Speaker 1: What if you figured out a way to do your content where you had those 10 hours?
- 39:30Speaker 1: I'm not I'm sounding like a commercial, but I'm so passionate it lights me up in my old age, anyway.
- 39:36Speaker 1: So where are you going?
- 39:38Speaker 1: I'm sorry, you just let me.
- 39:40Speaker 1: You gave me a little window to get all charged up.
- 39:41Speaker 1: I love it.
- 39:43Speaker 1: So they go to Kayla, madonna, calm, or, and then they'll get the sign up.

- 41:00Speaker 1: I just love to from.
- 41:01Speaker 1: That's my heart really is.
- 41:02Speaker 1: My heart from a very young age is to help people harness the power of the internet now AI to really spread their message.
- 41:09Speaker 1: And it's a kingdom message For you to be able to come on here and talk about deliverance.
- 41:13Speaker 1: You're talking about the kingdom of God.
- 41:15Speaker 1: That makes someone nervous.
- 41:17Speaker 1: You just need to ask someone who's trustworthy.
- 41:19Speaker 1: Hey, dme, I'll tell you about it.
- 41:22Speaker 1: I'm someone who's trustworthy because I had this time in my life where I thought we all need deliverance.
- 41:28Speaker 1: Now I'm in this place where we all need therapy and go from David no, this is my friend has this line.
- 41:38Speaker 1: I love it.
- 41:38Speaker 1: It's from landmines to landmarks, so you're not explained, you're not a share of the landmines and you exploded because you got a landmark.
- 41:48Speaker 1: Or out of my Misery came my destiny, out of my junk came freedom for someone else.
- 41:54Speaker 1: Out of my testimony, god says do it again.
- 41:57Speaker 1: So I really believe you're gonna.
- 41:58Speaker 1: I'm just gonna prophetically say this I believe God has set you up on a stage Because you so know it's not about you, and I believe that everywhere that your mouth is released, that women Are gonna do.
- 42:11Speaker 1: This is my heart.
- 42:12Speaker 1: The women who feel voiceless because of trauma, are gonna discover Transformation by finding their voice through identity, and they're gonna speak, speaking to the person they once were.
- 42:25Speaker 1: So you, kayla, are speaking to the people you once were, and you know what I hear?
- 42:30Speaker 1: I hear chains breaking.
- 42:32Speaker 1: Oh, I got goosebumps all over come on.
- 42:34Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, that's so beautiful fighting your heart.
- 42:39Speaker 1: Oh, oh.
- 42:40Speaker 1: When you're in trauma and you're in mental stuff, you don't have a voice.
- 42:45Speaker 2: No, no, I know, I never.
- 42:51Speaker 1: Yes, now you have found transformation.
- 42:53Speaker 1: You're dealing with your junk, you've gone through deliverance and now you're like everywhere you go, you don't have to say the word identity, it's wound in us.
- 43:00Speaker 1: But everywhere you go you're releasing people to find their voice.
- 43:04Speaker 1: And I love the idea that you don't just find it, but you speak.
- 43:08Speaker 1: I always say what did you like to do in childhood?
- 43:11Speaker 1: I'm gonna find a tangent here what did you know you had?
- 43:13Speaker 1: Okay, so you're a good example.
- 43:15Speaker 1: When I was a child, climb up to the top of the stairs and preach.
- 43:18Speaker 1: I was Catholic.
- 43:19Speaker 1: It was a good homily.
- 43:20Speaker 1: But then I say people say I had a terrible childhood.
- 43:23Speaker 1: I said that doesn't dis disqualify you.
- 43:25Speaker 1: You get to be healed and transformed.
- 43:28Speaker 1: And then you really do.
- 43:29Speaker 1: You get to speak to the people you once were, that were in the crap.
- 43:32Speaker 1: So you are speaking to the people that were in the crowd.
- 43:36Speaker 1: Why I like to talk to people?
- 43:37Speaker 1: Because I grew up loving a microphone.
- 43:39Speaker 1: It was just in my DNA.
- 43:40Speaker 1: Okay, did I find trauma?
- 43:42Speaker 1: Yeah, 26 years of it of the wrong marriage.
- 43:45Speaker 1: But what am I doing now?
- 43:47Speaker 1: I'm doing like Kayla getting on my stages, which are podcasts, and getting to join forces and cheer on the Kayla's out there really say, hey, wait, we need you keep speaking, because I can't speak to your ground.
- 44:00Speaker 1: I am, though, because I'm getting to share you, so I say all that to say this has been so freakin fun.

- 44:45Speaker 1: They starved or dumped a bunch of alcohol to Kayla and something else Doesn't bother me I.
- 44:50Speaker 1: If you can push away anything, what you're gonna see is a gold.
