- 1:32SPEAKER_04: And I've got Sarah Bermudez White in the building.
- 1:35SPEAKER_04: How are you?
- 1:35SPEAKER_06: Hi, good morning.
- 1:36SPEAKER_06: Buenos días.
- 1:37SPEAKER_06: Hello, everybody.
- 1:39SPEAKER_04: And uh don't be nervous.
- 1:41SPEAKER_04: We're good.
- 1:41SPEAKER_04: We're good.
- 1:42SPEAKER_04: We got this.
- 1:42SPEAKER_04: We got this.
- 1:43SPEAKER_04: So, you know, you and I met at the spring showdown, right?
- 1:47SPEAKER_04: So I had Dave DiMaggio was on last week.
- 1:50SPEAKER_06: Oh, nice.
- 1:50SPEAKER_04: Then I had Rita on, I think it was the week before.
- 1:52SPEAKER_06: Amazing.
- 1:53SPEAKER_04: So there's something about maybe every other week we need to have a pregnant guest on.
- 1:56SPEAKER_06: Yes, that's how it works.
- 1:57SPEAKER_06: That's how that's how loans close.
- 1:59SPEAKER_06: And if you're not pregnant, you you shouldn't be in the business.
- 2:01SPEAKER_06: That's what we do.
- 2:02SPEAKER_04: Well, I gotta get out then because it's not a possibility.
- 2:05SPEAKER_06: It's all about the women.
- 2:06SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 2:07SPEAKER_04: Right?
- 2:07SPEAKER_04: Right?
- 2:07SPEAKER_04: Women power.
- 2:08SPEAKER_06: Exactly.
- 2:09SPEAKER_04: Which is got which you got to the end of the spring showdown, too.
- 2:12SPEAKER_06: I know.
- 2:13SPEAKER_06: I was really sub I was really excited, and I was really excited to be with Rita and with all the other women.
- 2:17SPEAKER_06: And yeah, we killed it.
- 2:19SPEAKER_06: I think the next year it's all gonna be women again.
- 2:22SPEAKER_06: So and we're all gonna have our babies delivered by then.
- 2:25SPEAKER_06: Who knows who's pregnant?
- 2:26SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 2:26SPEAKER_04: And then because I got into I was there, and it was me and three women, and I was like, well, I don't stand a chance here.
- 2:32SPEAKER_04: Like with fan voting, I didn't stand a chance once I got to that point.
- 2:35SPEAKER_04: So I knew I was out.
- 2:36SPEAKER_04: But no, it was a lot, that was a lot of fun, and it was a fun event and and uh all that stuff.
- 2:40SPEAKER_04: So but that's how we met, and that's we where we're at now, right?
- 2:43SPEAKER_04: So we want you were you were not you were nervous about coming on, but I got you in the building now, so now you're stuck with me for the next hour.
- 2:50SPEAKER_06: It's exciting.
- 2:52SPEAKER_06: We'll keep doing this.
- 2:52SPEAKER_06: I come back every six months.
- 2:54SPEAKER_04: That's fine.
- 2:55SPEAKER_04: That that's what we that's what that's the goal ultimately, is that you know everybody comes back.
- 3:00SPEAKER_04: So that's the ultimate goal.
- 3:02SPEAKER_04: So so tell everybody about Olympia mortgage, how it started, where it came from, and all that stuff.
- 3:08SPEAKER_06: Oh, that's so exciting.
- 3:09SPEAKER_06: Okay, so just a little background story.
- 3:12SPEAKER_06: I am a loan officer and I've been doing it for about 10 years, and I worked for a retail uh big wig lender.
- 3:20SPEAKER_06: Maybe you might have heard of them quick and loans back in the day.
- 3:23SPEAKER_04: Well, that's where I got my start too, right?
- 3:25SPEAKER_04: So yeah, once you get started there, that's what happens.
- 3:28SPEAKER_06: And so I decided with my amazing uh team, aka my brother and my husband.
- 3:33SPEAKER_06: We were all retail uh loan officers, and I said, Hey, you know what, you guys?
- 3:38SPEAKER_06: I think it's a great time for us to quit at the peak of our career.
- 3:41SPEAKER_06: Yeah, let's just all stop what we're doing.
- 3:43SPEAKER_06: And we're gonna open up a broker shop.
- 3:45SPEAKER_06: Yeah, and we're gonna do it in the living room, and yeah, it's gonna be great.
- 3:48SPEAKER_06: And you know, my my brother, he he's like, Okay, let's do it.
- 3:52SPEAKER_06: I I got all my faith in you.
- 3:53SPEAKER_06: Let's go ahead.
- 3:54SPEAKER_06: And my husband's like, You're crazy, uh, but okay, let's do it.
- 3:57SPEAKER_06: And so we all left and we started Olympian mortgage in the living room.
- 4:02SPEAKER_06: You know, we had everyone sitting back to back.
- 4:04SPEAKER_06: We had loan officers selling loans like in the in the driveway, and we had another guy in the in the street, and we had another guy in the bathroom.
- 4:14SPEAKER_06: My house was very chaotic, but I loved it.
- 4:17SPEAKER_06: I love the chaos, I love the excitement.
- 4:19SPEAKER_06: You know, originating deals in your living room from the start is so like it's just you get like this high, this thrill.
- 4:27SPEAKER_06: And then, you know, we couldn't stay in the living room that long.
- 4:30SPEAKER_06: So we ended up getting a building.
- 4:32SPEAKER_06: We're actually located in Dearborn, the heart of Dearborn on Michigan Avenue.
- 4:35SPEAKER_06: Check us out, come by.
- 4:37SPEAKER_06: Um, and we grew.
- 4:38SPEAKER_06: So we started Olympian in June of 2022.
- 4:42SPEAKER_06: Okay.
- 4:42SPEAKER_06: And we now we have like 17 states, we're a correspondent lender, we're really excited about that.
- 4:48SPEAKER_06: We have about 30 loan officers.
- 4:49SPEAKER_06: We actually have a second location in Troy.
- 4:52SPEAKER_06: So we're just growing, and it's very exciting.
- 4:55SPEAKER_06: And, you know, it's just from being back to back in the living room to hey, screaming across like the office floor with all these people and all these families that depend on us, and just the excitement and all the loans that we close and all the knowledge that we've been growing on the broker five on the broker side.
- 5:12SPEAKER_06: Yeah, it's just amazing.
- 5:13SPEAKER_06: And then, you know, all the knowledge that we come with from like the retail side, it's we we close all our loans.
- 5:20SPEAKER_06: That's the best part.
- 5:20SPEAKER_06: So, yeah.
- 5:21SPEAKER_04: It's it's such a cool story, right?
- 5:24SPEAKER_04: Like, you know, you you you had this career, it was going well, everything was fine.
- 5:28SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 5:28SPEAKER_04: Everything's perfect.
- 5:29SPEAKER_04: Everything's perfect, and you got this idea to just like let's just start our own.
- 5:33SPEAKER_06: Let's do this.
- 5:34SPEAKER_04: And one of the things that like I want our listeners to understand too, and the people that are listening now or later, is like just do it.
- 5:41SPEAKER_06: Just do it.
- 5:42SPEAKER_06: Don't stop.
- 5:42SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 5:43SPEAKER_06: Don't stop.
- 5:44SPEAKER_06: I'm very, very lucky.
- 5:45SPEAKER_06: I have an amazing team.
- 5:46SPEAKER_06: I, you know, I happen to be related to half my team, so that's great.
- 5:49SPEAKER_04: But sometimes.
- 5:50SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 5:51SPEAKER_06: Well, you know, it's it's one of the things.
- 5:53SPEAKER_06: So I come from a Latina, okay.
- 5:55SPEAKER_06: So I come from a family of, I have three brothers, and you know, one thing that my mom loves, you know, to talk about is like, hey, they all work together from the morning to the night.
- 6:06SPEAKER_06: They're always together, they're always talking about mortgages, it's always about the business, and it's you know, it's just we're constantly collaborating, constantly like making things better, and it's very exciting.
- 6:17SPEAKER_06: So I'm very, very lucky.
- 6:18SPEAKER_04: Yeah, no, that and it's awesome.
- 6:20SPEAKER_04: It's such a good story because again, some of us get into whatever business it is, right?
- 6:24SPEAKER_04: And we just we work at the same place for the next 30 years and we get out of it and retire and do whatever.
- 6:29SPEAKER_04: And you guys weren't satisfied with that.
- 6:31SPEAKER_06: No, we were like, let's let's make this crazy, let's let's start a mortgage company.
- 6:35SPEAKER_06: Yeah, that's awesome.
- 6:36SPEAKER_04: Right?
- 6:36SPEAKER_06: Why not?
- 6:37SPEAKER_06: Who wouldn't do that at the peak of the career?
- 6:39SPEAKER_04: Yeah, why not?
- 6:40SPEAKER_04: Come on.
- 6:41SPEAKER_04: Yeah, but it's it it's it's again, it's a cool story, but then it's like the idea of becoming a broker, now there's a ton of them.
- 6:49SPEAKER_06: Exactly.
- 6:50SPEAKER_04: Right?
- 6:50SPEAKER_04: Because the the what UWM's done and everybody else and quicken with their channels now, like all the or Rocket now, I guess I have to call them Rocket, but the with their channels, like that, it's made it, I want to say easier to become a broker.
- 7:03SPEAKER_06: True.
- 7:03SPEAKER_04: But we know a lot of brokers that are not broken.
- 7:07SPEAKER_04: It's hard.
- 7:08SPEAKER_04: Or they are broke, I don't know.
- 7:10SPEAKER_06: Well I mean, yeah, it I mean it's hard.
- 7:11SPEAKER_06: You have to, it's it's you gotta put the the work in every single day.
- 7:14SPEAKER_06: You gotta be there for the team, you know, the leads and expanding and social media, you gotta go on all the podcasts, you gotta do everything.
- 7:22SPEAKER_06: And it's hard, but it's exciting.
- 7:24SPEAKER_06: And and it you see the results, you see the growth, you hear people say, Oh, I heard you you were on the you know, the spring showdown and all this stuff.
- 7:31SPEAKER_06: I'm like, Oh, yeah, that's us.
- 7:32SPEAKER_06: Olympia mortgage, come on.
- 7:34SPEAKER_06: Like it's it's really it's really fun.
- 7:36SPEAKER_06: And then as we expand, you know, I'm having a baby right now, and I had another baby last year.
- 7:41SPEAKER_04: Not right now.
- 7:41SPEAKER_06: Well, no, we got we have like two, we have 20 days.
- 7:44SPEAKER_04: If you want to, we talked about this, yeah, yeah.
- 7:45SPEAKER_06: 20 days.
- 7:46SPEAKER_04: This might be our viral moment, everybody.
- 7:48SPEAKER_04: This could be 20 days, not yet.
- 7:52SPEAKER_04: The elite real estate podcast where babies are born.
- 7:54SPEAKER_04: Because I had Rita Marcos in a couple weeks ago, and same thing, and she was a week out from her due date.
- 7:59SPEAKER_06: So she's uh she's amazing.
- 8:00SPEAKER_06: She has like five kids, yeah, and she just doesn't stop.
- 8:02SPEAKER_06: I'm like, I'm on two, and I'm like, oh my god.
- 8:04SPEAKER_06: Yeah, like this is this is hard.
- 8:06SPEAKER_04: Well, I had Dave on last week, and he's got six.
- 8:08SPEAKER_04: So oh, you guys like I'm like not you guys, I got two.
- 8:12SPEAKER_04: I okay.
- 8:12SPEAKER_04: I'm good.
- 8:13SPEAKER_06: Me, I think I might we might stop at two.
- 8:14SPEAKER_06: I'm like, okay, let's just let's just chill for a bit.
- 8:16SPEAKER_06: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 8:17SPEAKER_04: See, let's see what happens.
- 8:19SPEAKER_06: Yeah, well let's just get through this and we'll see what happens.
- 8:23SPEAKER_04: So I think I think I wanna know I want to know more about when this started at the house.
- 8:29SPEAKER_04: Like, what was that like?
- 8:30SPEAKER_04: Because so it was you, your husband, and your brother.
- 8:33SPEAKER_06: Yep, me and my husband, my brother, and then we had other loan officers that we would allow to work at the house.
- 8:38SPEAKER_06: And we're like, hey, you know, you want a job?
- 8:40SPEAKER_06: Okay, perfect.
- 8:41SPEAKER_06: So the location is the house, and you're gonna sit in our living room, and we had like the whole living room was like chairs, back-to-back desk, and it looked like a mini office.
- 8:51SPEAKER_06: And it was just like, you know, me and my brother were making eggs and potatoes in the morning and calling leads and and you know, enrolling clients and learning the system and what it is to be, you know, a broker, because we only knew like the a little bit of the retail side.
- 9:07SPEAKER_06: We didn't know, hey, you need to do this and this and this and compliance and so much more.
- 9:12SPEAKER_06: But it was just it was exciting.
- 9:15SPEAKER_06: We every day, you know, we just we learned, we learned, we learned the hard way.
- 9:19SPEAKER_06: We made the mistakes first, we broke the system.
- 9:21SPEAKER_06: Yeah, and now we're like, okay, when we bring in new people, like you can't you can't mess anything up.
- 9:25SPEAKER_06: Right.
- 9:25SPEAKER_06: We've already broken everything, every single thing we've done.
- 9:29SPEAKER_06: So you're gonna be very successful here because we know how to fix all of your problems.
- 9:32SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 9:33SPEAKER_06: And yeah, it was just it was so exciting.
- 9:35SPEAKER_06: I I miss those days, right?
- 9:37SPEAKER_06: Because you know, you're more closer and you're you know, you're back to back and it's like you're in the trenches together.
- 9:42SPEAKER_01: Yep.
- 9:43SPEAKER_06: Now, you know, it's a bigger office, it's uh which is still exciting.
- 9:46SPEAKER_06: It's just hey, you you'll never forget those days of like this is the Olympian mortgage first loan close.
- 9:53SPEAKER_06: Now we're like, you know, way up past that, but it's like, okay, we got this.
- 9:57SPEAKER_06: The our first review, and like, you know, it's just it's so exciting, so honored, so grateful, so blessed.
- 10:04SPEAKER_06: Yeah, I I can't believe where we're at right now.
- 10:06SPEAKER_04: Yeah, but it and I give you and your brother and your husband a ton of credit because like it's a risk, obviously, right?
- 10:13SPEAKER_04: To just jump out like no parachute, just we're jumping out of the plane and we'll figure out before we hit the ground.
- 10:18SPEAKER_04: And I think that I the the respect, right?
- 10:23SPEAKER_04: Because the I know how hard it is to start a business, right?
- 10:27SPEAKER_04: I've started and stopped businesses.
- 10:28SPEAKER_04: You know what I mean?
- 10:29SPEAKER_04: Like you start, stop, start, stop.
- 10:31SPEAKER_04: There's not an entrepreneur I know that hasn't stopped a business at some point.
- 10:35SPEAKER_04: Like, yeah, like I'm not doing that anymore.
- 10:37SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I can't do this anymore.
- 10:38SPEAKER_06: Like, this is exhausting.
- 10:39SPEAKER_04: Yeah, exactly.
- 10:40SPEAKER_04: But no, I I just like am picturing this house.
- 10:43SPEAKER_04: Like now, now I figured out how you got people to come over though and and join you.
- 10:46SPEAKER_06: Food, food, yeah, we'd love food.
- 10:48SPEAKER_04: You can't stop eating.
- 10:49SPEAKER_06: I would have been a mortgage officer.
- 10:51SPEAKER_04: If you would have said we're making eggs and potatoes, I'm there.
- 10:53SPEAKER_06: Like, don't worry, we have eggs, potatoes, coffee.
- 10:56SPEAKER_06: Yeah, don't miss lunch.
- 10:57SPEAKER_06: We write loans and we eat.
- 10:59SPEAKER_06: That's all we do.
- 11:00SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 11:00SPEAKER_04: I would have been a loan officer and just been over there with you guys.
- 11:03SPEAKER_04: That would have been perfect.
- 11:04SPEAKER_06: That's how we that's how we kept them coming.
- 11:06SPEAKER_06: Yeah, don't worry, don't worry.
- 11:07SPEAKER_04: I'm not making any money, but here eat.
- 11:09SPEAKER_06: Yeah, you didn't close a loan, but try my brother's potatoes, they're the best.
- 11:13SPEAKER_06: You're gonna love this.
- 11:14SPEAKER_04: I love that.
- 11:15SPEAKER_04: But it and again, it that's built on not now.
- 11:18SPEAKER_04: Your business is built on that foundation, though.
- 11:20SPEAKER_06: That culture.
- 11:21SPEAKER_04: Yeah, yeah.
- 11:21SPEAKER_06: We we're really big on culture.
- 11:23SPEAKER_06: Just, you know, when when I have people interviewing they come in, they're like, well, why should I work here versus the mortgage place that's across the street?
- 11:31SPEAKER_06: I'm like, it's true, it's true.
- 11:32SPEAKER_06: You know, the comp, all this, everything is pretty similar, everyone's doing the same thing.
- 11:36SPEAKER_06: But at Olympian Mortgage, you're gonna have a whole entire team behind you that has the experience that's not gonna let you fail, that's gonna hold your hand, that's gonna make sure your loan's closed because we care, because that's the culture we provide.
- 11:48SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 11:49SPEAKER_06: And I'm really, really, you know, proud of that because it's just really where we're it's a huge collaboration where we're all working together, where we're all trying to do one common goal, get the get the client closed, get someone in the home, or help them with their refinance.
- 12:03SPEAKER_06: It's all about the client's goals.
- 12:05SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 12:06SPEAKER_04: And I it's it's so strong because again, like I I talk about this with agents that I coach too, and and agents that are in my coaching program, and it's like, well, you have to go like kind of peel the onion back and figure out what the foundation was built on.
- 12:19SPEAKER_04: And do we need to fix it?
- 12:21SPEAKER_04: Right?
- 12:22SPEAKER_04: You guys don't need to fix it.
- 12:23SPEAKER_06: Yeah, our onion, our onion's really secure.
- 12:26SPEAKER_06: We just keep adding more tomatoes and lettuce and cheese and all it's a nice hamburger.
- 12:31SPEAKER_06: Yeah, so it's great.
- 12:32SPEAKER_04: Yeah, but yeah, but it's built off that foundation, you know, and in the faith and the family and all the things to like that the solid foundation of and then you just stack on top of it.
- 12:41SPEAKER_06: Yeah, then we add the processors and the closers and all the other, all the other characters that come on top of it, and it's great.
- 12:47SPEAKER_06: Yeah, and everyone feels, you know, it's like a safe space.
- 12:51SPEAKER_06: Like, hey, I can ask you a question, hey, I can do this, hey, you're not alone.
- 12:55SPEAKER_06: Like, there's someone there that's gonna guide you.
- 12:57SPEAKER_06: There, we're gonna get your loan closed, whether it's processing, closing, you know, origination, and that's how we coach, right?
- 13:04SPEAKER_06: Because it's not about you know, it's not about the numbers, right?
- 13:06SPEAKER_06: It's about the client, the goals, and what what's it gonna do for them?
- 13:09SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 13:54SPEAKER_04: Numbers and money follow, they never lead.
- 13:56SPEAKER_04: Hey, like, yeah, one of those yeah, I need to I need a the the top hat.
- 14:02SPEAKER_04: But no, but I but if you think about the isms, that's those are foundational things, right?
- 14:07SPEAKER_04: That's your culture, yeah.
- 14:08SPEAKER_04: And if you think about that, that one specifically, like I believe in that one.
- 14:12SPEAKER_06: It's true though.
- 14:12SPEAKER_06: It's really true.
- 14:13SPEAKER_04: Eat your own dog food, I'm confused about, but yeah, I'm not proud of that.
- 14:16SPEAKER_04: But the the numbers of money follow are very true, and you guys are a testament to that.
- 14:20SPEAKER_06: Yes, we are.
- 14:21SPEAKER_06: Yeah, we're very I'm really proud of that.
- 14:23SPEAKER_06: Like it's just that's just how we keep you know the longevity.
- 14:26SPEAKER_06: The the I'm proud to say, hey, we have loan officers that started from the beginning that are still with us from the the first day.
- 14:33SPEAKER_04: The guy that was working in the bathroom at your house is still working with you.
- 14:36SPEAKER_04: He's still there.
- 14:36SPEAKER_06: He's like, hey, I I I I I have what is it?
- 14:39SPEAKER_06: I'm I'm the veteran of the company.
- 14:40SPEAKER_06: I've been here since since we were eating potatoes.
- 14:43SPEAKER_06: I was like, yeah, you are, but you gotta get back on the phone.
- 14:46SPEAKER_06: Yeah, but uh yeah, no, it's brilliant.
- 14:48SPEAKER_04: Yeah, yeah, and it's interesting, like again, hot that gr that growth happened, right?
- 14:53SPEAKER_04: And and you you were attracting people in the house.
- 14:56SPEAKER_04: What was it like moving into the office?
- 14:59SPEAKER_06: You know, it was so it was a lot because I'm like, hey, we we you we would walk down the stairs and everyone's down there already, like, you know, I had the garage door.
- 15:08SPEAKER_06: Everyone's already in the house, we're already making moves, and this now it's like, okay, now we all have to go to the office, we all have to look presentable, we all have to like like like you know, we have the kitchen, but it's not the same as like the kitchen at the house.
- 15:20SPEAKER_06: Like, so it was like, you know, now everyone had their own space, right?
- 15:24SPEAKER_06: But it was it was different because you're like, oh, I missed the living room.
- 15:27SPEAKER_06: Yeah, and now it's like, oh, I can't, I can't mix, I can't picture without being in the office, and now we're outgrowing the office.
- 15:32SPEAKER_06: Yeah, so now we gotta get another office.
- 15:34SPEAKER_06: So it's it's exciting.
- 15:36SPEAKER_04: I'm so here's here's my where my marketing brain goes.
- 15:39SPEAKER_04: So I'm picturing you guys in the new office, but you build exactly the same living room and kitchen.
- 15:46SPEAKER_06: We do.
- 15:46SPEAKER_06: We have the office, the hot plate.
- 15:48SPEAKER_06: We still make eggs and potatoes, like we still have my brother still whips stuff up and all that stuff.
- 15:54SPEAKER_06: It's just because we were like, hey, this is how we this is this is how we did it.
- 15:57SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 15:58SPEAKER_06: I I I'm trying to remember if we had pictures.
- 16:00SPEAKER_06: I think my my brother, my husband were trying to look at old pictures, yeah, to like do a frame and call like the conference room aka the living room.
- 16:08SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 16:08SPEAKER_06: So, like, okay, this is where it all started.
- 16:10SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 16:10SPEAKER_06: So it's exciting.
- 16:11SPEAKER_04: Yeah, no, I'm like, even like the same couch, the same.
- 16:13SPEAKER_04: You know how they how they do like movie sets, right?
- 16:16SPEAKER_04: But make it exactly the same as as what the living room was.
- 16:19SPEAKER_06: Like this is how this is where this is how Olympian was born.
- 16:22SPEAKER_04: Yeah, and have it like have it like sectioned off so people can't get in there, but like the rope walking.
- 16:26SPEAKER_04: Yeah, yeah, just take pictures.
- 16:27SPEAKER_06: Yeah, they can just like how they did the friends set and stuff.
- 16:30SPEAKER_04: Exactly, yeah, exactly.
- 16:31SPEAKER_06: A little tour.
- 16:32SPEAKER_06: I I charge people to come in.
- 16:34SPEAKER_04: Yeah, like this is where it started.
- 16:35SPEAKER_06: Yes, here.
- 16:36SPEAKER_06: Touch this and you'll write more loans.
- 16:39SPEAKER_04: It's a good luck thing before you start every morning.
- 16:41SPEAKER_04: Yes.
- 16:42SPEAKER_04: Right?
- 16:42SPEAKER_06: Exactly.
- 16:42SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 16:43SPEAKER_06: All about ritual.
- 16:44SPEAKER_04: Right, right.
- 16:44SPEAKER_04: So what's so now you've moved into the office?
- 16:47SPEAKER_04: What's the what was the like originally what was the office vibe like?
- 16:50SPEAKER_06: It was exciting, right?
- 16:52SPEAKER_06: Everyone had everyone was just, you know, how do I say like they were just excited and and you know, happy to be in their own space and you know, more people were able to join.
- 17:03SPEAKER_06: And that's how we, you know, were able to expand like our operation side.
- 17:06SPEAKER_06: They had their own spots, you know, recruiting became a lot easier.
- 17:10SPEAKER_06: Um, so yeah, so they don't have to be in the in the house.
- 17:14SPEAKER_06: And then, you know, people started hearing more of Olympian mortgage.
- 17:18SPEAKER_06: Oh, now they're what's this, what's this mortgage company?
- 17:20SPEAKER_06: Oh, here we go.
- 17:21SPEAKER_06: And and then our social media with with we added, you know, Rami to the team, and he he started doing all of our social media and our our Instagrams with my husband and stuff.
- 17:31SPEAKER_06: So that was exciting.
- 17:32SPEAKER_06: And then closing started to happen because now we could have in-house closings, right?
- 17:36SPEAKER_06: It's hard to have a notary and a client come to your living room.
- 17:39SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 17:39SPEAKER_06: So so it's nice that we have like an office where they can come in and actually close.
- 17:43SPEAKER_06: But yeah, everyone just they started to to fall in love with the office, and the office started to be the home.
- 17:48SPEAKER_06: That's where they're where they're most of the day, anyways.
- 17:50SPEAKER_06: Yeah, so it's exciting.
- 17:52SPEAKER_04: So do you wait, wait, you had closings at the house?
- 17:55SPEAKER_06: No, I couldn't.
- 17:56SPEAKER_04: I was oh, I was gonna say, like, man, that would be the coolest story ever.
- 17:59SPEAKER_06: It was it was too much.
- 18:00SPEAKER_06: I was like, no, no, we can we did a lot of everything was like remote, we'll send a notary to you, and now it was an option, like, oh, you're local, you can come inside to the office.
- 18:09SPEAKER_06: We we have a like, you know, we have a place for you to sit and sign, and it's very nice and professional.
- 18:14SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 18:14SPEAKER_06: So that was good.
- 18:15SPEAKER_06: Then that became like one of the biggest selling points.
- 18:17SPEAKER_06: So that was nice.
- 18:17SPEAKER_04: For sure, for sure.
- 18:18SPEAKER_04: Because I always say this too.
- 18:21SPEAKER_04: We get realtors, we get mortgage on, we've had insurance, we've had dentists, we've had doctors on the show.
- 18:26SPEAKER_04: But I say I always say one of the things that's interesting on the mortgage side, because I was in the mortgage side to begin with, is you never get this.
- 18:32SPEAKER_04: You know, we very rarely get this moment, right?
- 18:35SPEAKER_04: Because most of it's over the phone, on the computer, you're sending docs over, they're sending docs back.
- 18:40SPEAKER_04: It's not a lot of so when you get that face to face, how exciting is that?
- 18:43SPEAKER_06: It's so exciting.
- 18:44SPEAKER_06: Or had someone like we had like you know, people walk in now, they're like, Hey, we're looking for a mortgage.
- 18:48SPEAKER_06: Like, oh my god, come here, sit down, talk to me.
- 18:51SPEAKER_06: You want a hat?
- 18:51SPEAKER_06: You want a shirt?
- 18:52SPEAKER_06: You want you want a mug?
- 18:53SPEAKER_06: We have so many.
- 18:54SPEAKER_06: Let me talk to you.
- 18:55SPEAKER_06: Like it's really, really exciting.
- 18:57SPEAKER_04: Yeah, yeah.
- 18:58SPEAKER_04: So, and that's that's a cool story, right?
- 19:00SPEAKER_04: Like the walking in part.
- 19:01SPEAKER_06: Like, oh my God, I couldn't believe how many people were gonna walk in.
- 19:04SPEAKER_06: I'm like, Really?
- 19:04SPEAKER_06: You want to come in here?
- 19:05SPEAKER_06: Oh, yes, please.
- 19:07SPEAKER_06: We're the best.
- 19:08SPEAKER_04: Let me help you.
- 19:09SPEAKER_04: And then what was it?
- 19:10SPEAKER_04: I I the other question I want to ask about the house is what were the neighbors like when all these cars were parked in front?
- 19:16SPEAKER_06: So that's so because I'm Latina, okay.
- 19:19SPEAKER_06: We're very knit family.
- 19:21SPEAKER_06: So my neighbors are my uncles.
- 19:23SPEAKER_04: So they weren't working for you?
- 19:25SPEAKER_06: No, no, not yet.
- 19:27SPEAKER_06: I have one that does, but the other ones, you know, I had people park in their driveway, you know.
- 19:31SPEAKER_06: It wasn't like I was like, Oh, you can park next door.
- 19:33SPEAKER_06: Oh, really?
- 19:34SPEAKER_06: Yeah, my uncle owns a house, so it's okay, you're good.
- 19:36SPEAKER_06: So it's like it was very chill, very, very nice.
- 19:39SPEAKER_04: Yeah, because I'm I'm thinking like my neighborhood, like I could imagine all these cars parked in the street, and everybody would be like, What is going on?
- 19:44SPEAKER_06: That happens in my house a lot anyway, but they're like, Oh, there's this huge party at 8 a.m.
- 19:47SPEAKER_06: Yeah, like, yeah, yeah, those Latinos, that's how they are.
- 19:51SPEAKER_06: But yeah, no, it was nice because like, you know, my mom would come to the house and my brother, my uncles, and everyone would come through.
- 19:57SPEAKER_06: They'd see all everyone working and like making money and doing all these things.
- 20:01SPEAKER_06: It's like, wow, this is really working.
- 20:02SPEAKER_06: I'm like, Yep, this is the this is the company.
- 20:04SPEAKER_06: Yeah, don't go past this part of the living room because now you're in the office.
- 20:08SPEAKER_06: This part is just for you know, this is where they do all the work.
- 20:12SPEAKER_06: From here on, you can't go past that door.
- 20:14SPEAKER_04: So that's hilarious.
- 20:15SPEAKER_04: Yeah, that's now.
- 20:16SPEAKER_04: Did you have a basement too?
- 20:17SPEAKER_04: Like, did you put people in the basement?
- 20:18SPEAKER_06: Like, is it was it so we never put people in the basement, which was funny because they would rather just like you know how loan officers like to pace back and forth?
- 20:26SPEAKER_06: They would prefer to pace outside.
- 20:27SPEAKER_06: Like one would be in the middle of the street, one would be in the garage, one would be like towards like the the lip the back of the living room.
- 20:34SPEAKER_06: Like, I was like, okay, whatever, whatever works, whatever gets you to write the loan, right?
- 20:39SPEAKER_06: We got this.
- 20:40SPEAKER_04: Yeah, and I'm in the same boat.
- 20:41SPEAKER_04: Like when I'm dialing, like I have to walk.
- 20:43SPEAKER_04: I have to, that's I have to have a headset and I have to walk because I can't it, I can't just sit here.
- 20:48SPEAKER_04: I could you know what it is, and this is uh again, I coach agents on this too.
- 20:51SPEAKER_04: If I'm just sitting here and I have this phone call, do you want to buy a little house?
- 20:55SPEAKER_06: No, you're so boring.
- 20:56SPEAKER_04: Yeah, it's so boring.
- 20:57SPEAKER_04: But if I'm up walking, then I feel like I have a little more energy, I have a little more pep in my voice.
- 21:01SPEAKER_06: You're more excited, yeah.
- 21:02SPEAKER_04: People can and then you can hear that, and then they want to do business.
- 21:05SPEAKER_04: Exactly.
- 21:06SPEAKER_06: Why wouldn't who want to do business with a boring person?
- 21:08SPEAKER_06: Yeah, I want someone that's gonna be like, yes, we're gonna do this.
- 21:10SPEAKER_04: Exactly.
- 21:11SPEAKER_04: Have my back.
- 21:12SPEAKER_04: Yeah, like this, help me out here.
- 21:13SPEAKER_04: Yeah, right?
- 21:14SPEAKER_06: Like, we're together.
- 21:16SPEAKER_04: Yeah, and I I think that's the coolest thing.
- 21:18SPEAKER_04: Where did the name Olympian come from?
- 21:21SPEAKER_06: So I have to give credit to my husband on that.
- 21:23SPEAKER_06: I told him I wanted something like I want something like you won.
- 21:28SPEAKER_06: Like you're a winner.
- 21:29SPEAKER_06: Like you sign with us, you've won something.
- 21:31SPEAKER_06: You've won this, this package, this this partnership, this friendship, this family.
- 21:37SPEAKER_06: And he's like, let's call it Olympian, Olympic, the Olympic.
- 21:41SPEAKER_06: Like we were going back and forth, and then finally we're like, okay, let's call it the Olympian mortgage.
- 21:46SPEAKER_06: I'm like, yes, Olympian mortgage.
- 21:48SPEAKER_06: You've just won.
- 21:49SPEAKER_06: Congratulations.
- 21:50SPEAKER_06: You have the goal, we're the golden standard for mortgages.
- 21:52SPEAKER_06: Like, it just had so many plays on it.
- 21:54SPEAKER_06: Yeah, and it just felt like so royal and so like you you won a medal.
- 22:00SPEAKER_06: Like, oh, congratulations.
- 22:02SPEAKER_06: Now you're an Olympian.
- 22:03SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 22:03SPEAKER_04: I'm like, and you guys did that before ChatGPT was out.
- 22:06SPEAKER_06: I know, right?
- 22:08SPEAKER_06: It was really crazy.
- 22:09SPEAKER_04: I was like, we didn't get a list of 700 names and please make my mortgage name.
- 22:15SPEAKER_06: Thank you.
- 22:15SPEAKER_06: Yeah, exactly.
- 22:16SPEAKER_06: It was awesome.
- 22:17SPEAKER_06: So I give him that, and I was like, and I wanted to have like, you know, our colors are like gold and black, so it's like really royal.
- 22:23SPEAKER_06: And it was just like, and it just I loved it.
- 22:26SPEAKER_06: And now it I love like thank you for calling Olympian mortgage.
- 22:28SPEAKER_06: Like it just plays right off the tongue.
- 22:30SPEAKER_04: It does.
- 22:31SPEAKER_04: Yeah, it does.
- 22:32SPEAKER_04: It's simple, it's easy, but it is.
- 22:33SPEAKER_04: It has that feel of like royalty.
- 22:36SPEAKER_04: Like you won.
- 22:37SPEAKER_06: Yeah, like, oh, I'm a winner, I'm an Olympian.
- 22:39SPEAKER_06: Yeah, like this is my mortgage, I'm an Olympian.
- 22:40SPEAKER_04: Yeah, yeah.
- 22:41SPEAKER_04: And then it plays into your so now you're working it's a People that work with you exactly that they're Olympians now, right?
- 22:46SPEAKER_04: Exactly.
- 22:47SPEAKER_06: You're the best.
- 22:48SPEAKER_06: You got the golden medal.
- 22:50SPEAKER_06: You're not that good.
- 22:50SPEAKER_06: Now you're the bronze medal.
- 22:52SPEAKER_06: You're, you know, we love the Olympics.
- 22:54SPEAKER_06: It's exciting.
- 22:55SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 22:55SPEAKER_06: Now everyone's, you know, well, right now we love the World Cup.
- 22:57SPEAKER_04: Yeah, the World Cup right now.
- 22:58SPEAKER_04: Yeah, yeah.
- 22:59SPEAKER_04: But yeah, that's that's even guys like me that don't watch soccer, I'll I'll flip it on at some point.
- 23:03SPEAKER_06: It's it's really exciting.
- 23:04SPEAKER_06: Everyone gets so into it.
- 23:05SPEAKER_06: I'm like, oh my God, I I love soccer too now.
- 23:07SPEAKER_06: Let's do it.
- 23:08SPEAKER_06: Can we ride alone through this?
- 23:10SPEAKER_04: I was always like, you know, my son's my youngest played soccer for a while, and I don't get it.
- 23:14SPEAKER_04: Like I'm a basketball guy.
- 23:15SPEAKER_04: So like Oh, really?
- 23:16SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I'm like, I don't know what soccer is.
- 23:19SPEAKER_06: My husband, he's a football guy.
- 23:20SPEAKER_06: I'm not a sports person.
- 23:21SPEAKER_06: I'm a really girly girl.
- 23:22SPEAKER_06: And now I'm like, go blue.
- 23:24SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 23:25SPEAKER_06: We love we love football.
- 23:26SPEAKER_06: I love you know the lions.
- 23:28SPEAKER_06: Let's do this.
- 23:28SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 23:29SPEAKER_04: So yeah.
- 23:29SPEAKER_04: So, and you have you have you have a son?
- 23:32SPEAKER_06: Yes, I have one son.
- 23:33SPEAKER_04: You know what?
- 23:34SPEAKER_06: This inside of me, this is a girl.
- 23:36SPEAKER_04: Okay.
- 23:36SPEAKER_06: And I think I can announce it now.
- 23:38SPEAKER_06: This is this is good.
- 23:39SPEAKER_06: This is live.
- 23:40SPEAKER_06: You're getting the exclusive.
- 23:41SPEAKER_04: Oh man.
- 23:42SPEAKER_06: So her name is going to be Sophia Gloria, and then Aliastery, which is my husband's last name.
- 23:51SPEAKER_06: So that's the official name.
- 23:53SPEAKER_06: We've been going back and forth.
- 23:54SPEAKER_06: And yeah, so Sophia Gloria is on her way.
- 23:57SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 23:58unknown: Yay!
- 23:59SPEAKER_06: So you get the exclusive.
- 24:00SPEAKER_06: That was here.
- 24:01SPEAKER_06: That was for free.
- 24:02SPEAKER_04: That's a world premiere type thing.
- 24:05SPEAKER_04: That's world premiere type stuff.
- 24:06SPEAKER_04: But I'm I'm honored.
- 24:08SPEAKER_06: I know.
- 24:08SPEAKER_04: Yes, I'm honored that.
- 24:09SPEAKER_06: I don't know if my mom or my in-laws are watching this.
- 24:11SPEAKER_04: Like, gotcha.
- 24:12SPEAKER_06: Got it, guys.
- 24:13SPEAKER_04: Yeah, if your mom's watching right now, she's gonna be like, what?
- 24:15SPEAKER_06: She's like, wait, I thought her name was da-da-da-da.
- 24:18SPEAKER_06: Like, no, we're gonna stick with this one.
- 24:20SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 24:20SPEAKER_04: Well, I was going down that road too because I have two boys.
- 24:23SPEAKER_06: Okay.
- 24:23SPEAKER_04: So my wife has become this sports fan because it's she's like, I either did or I wasn't gonna be with them.
- 24:30SPEAKER_04: You and you have to join it.
- 24:32SPEAKER_04: She's like, because that's all the boys, you know, the boys are playing sports and all this stuff.
- 24:35SPEAKER_04: And and so it's like it's funny how you adapt with your family.
- 24:39SPEAKER_06: I've never watched football until recently.
- 24:41SPEAKER_06: I'm like, okay, let's do this.
- 24:43SPEAKER_06: Like now I'm like, I have all these like Michigan outfits and lions outfits.
- 24:46SPEAKER_06: I'm like, let's go.
- 24:47SPEAKER_04: Well, you gotta have the right outfits.
- 24:48SPEAKER_06: Of course.
- 24:48SPEAKER_06: That's the only way it works.
- 24:50SPEAKER_04: I'm not gonna go to the game and not be fitted.
- 24:52SPEAKER_06: No, no, I need I need to color coordinate, I need to make sure they know what team I'm with.
- 24:56SPEAKER_06: Just in case they ask me, like, oh my god, is she for the other side?
- 24:59SPEAKER_06: No, no, look, I got the blue, I got the maize, I got it all.
- 25:01SPEAKER_04: They don't even need to ask.
- 25:02SPEAKER_04: Yes, yes, perfect, perfect.
- 25:04SPEAKER_04: So, Olympian, where like right now, right in this moment today, what is what's happening at Olympia Mortgage right now?
- 25:13SPEAKER_06: So, right now, we recently opened up the second location in Troy.
- 25:17SPEAKER_04: When did you open that?
- 25:19SPEAKER_06: So, about like a month or two, like about we're looking going on like two months.
- 25:23SPEAKER_04: Okay, so right about the time of spring showdown, you were opening an office too.
- 25:26SPEAKER_06: Yeah, that was crazy.
- 25:27SPEAKER_04: So you were pregnant, you have a one-year-old, you were opening an office, and you're in spring showdown.
- 25:32SPEAKER_06: Exactly.
- 25:33SPEAKER_06: Shout out to Keith Simon, thank you for that.
- 25:35SPEAKER_06: Always the best.
- 25:37SPEAKER_06: Um, and yeah, so so we re we recently opened that.
- 25:41SPEAKER_06: We're expanding with our states and you know, going to start FHA correspondent and and and that.
- 25:47SPEAKER_06: And then also we're doing massive hiring because it's time to hire because we're, you know, that refi boom's coming eventually.
- 25:53SPEAKER_06: So we gotta be prepared.
- 25:54SPEAKER_04: It's eventually gonna be here.
- 25:55SPEAKER_06: Yes.
- 25:56SPEAKER_06: And yeah, that that's what's going on right now.
- 25:58SPEAKER_06: A lot of lot of you know, growth, a lot of new faces, which is very exciting.
- 26:04SPEAKER_06: Yeah, and and then I'm gonna leave them all and go on maternity leave.
- 26:07SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 26:08SPEAKER_06: And tell my brother, good luck.
- 26:09SPEAKER_04: Yeah, good luck with all the new hires.
- 26:11SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I'll I'll see you in a couple months.
- 26:13SPEAKER_06: See you in 30 days.
- 26:15SPEAKER_06: You got this right?
- 26:16SPEAKER_04: Yeah, yeah.
- 26:17SPEAKER_06: But yeah, that's that's what's going on right now.
- 26:19SPEAKER_06: And of course, you know, as women, we're nesting, so guess what?
- 26:23SPEAKER_06: We want to redo the whole house at the same time.
- 26:26SPEAKER_06: So that's exciting.
- 26:27SPEAKER_06: My house is upside down, so why not?
- 26:29SPEAKER_06: But uh yeah, that's that's what I'm doing.
- 26:30SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 26:31SPEAKER_04: And what what is it?
- 26:32SPEAKER_04: Like, I and you're surrounded by family, which is fantastic.
- 26:36SPEAKER_04: You're surrounded by obviously from friends that you've been in the business with for a long time.
- 26:41SPEAKER_04: But what is it that keeps you with this energy and and just going?
- 26:45SPEAKER_06: Honestly, I'm very faithful with God, my religion.
- 26:49SPEAKER_06: I love it.
- 26:49SPEAKER_06: I mean, I just feel you know, the spirit inside of me.
- 26:52SPEAKER_06: I I just feel that I I just have this, I'm very driven, right?
- 26:57SPEAKER_06: I've I've just been like this.
- 26:59SPEAKER_06: I have big goals, I want Olympian to get bigger.
- 27:01SPEAKER_06: I want everyone to be extremely successful, and I'm ready to to put in the work to do it.
- 27:07SPEAKER_06: And every day is a blessing and a challenge.
- 27:10SPEAKER_06: And these are these are the prayers that we asked for, right?
- 27:13SPEAKER_06: This is what I've asked for all of this.
- 27:14SPEAKER_06: This is what I wanted.
- 27:15SPEAKER_06: If we didn't have all these, you know, problems or accomplishments, we would be saying, Oh my god, why not?
- 27:21SPEAKER_06: We where where's all the business coming from, right?
- 27:23SPEAKER_06: So I'm I'm just very lucky and very honored that people are like, Okay, yeah, I want to do business.
- 27:30SPEAKER_06: Let's do it, let's go.
- 27:31SPEAKER_06: Every every client that we close, I'm like, Congratulations.
- 27:35SPEAKER_06: You you just won.
- 27:36SPEAKER_06: Like, this is great.
- 27:38SPEAKER_06: And I'm very excited about that.
- 27:39SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 27:40SPEAKER_04: That's awesome.
- 27:40SPEAKER_04: What was what what what did you do before mortgages?
- 27:43SPEAKER_06: That's so funny.
- 27:44SPEAKER_06: So I was going to go into the medical field.
- 27:46SPEAKER_04: Okay.
- 27:47SPEAKER_06: And my uncle, he was like, No, you shouldn't do that.
- 27:51SPEAKER_06: You should do this.
- 27:53SPEAKER_06: You should sell loans.
- 27:54SPEAKER_06: You or would be perfect for this.
- 27:56SPEAKER_06: And I'm like, no, I don't think I can do that.
- 27:58SPEAKER_06: I can't sell a pencil.
- 28:00SPEAKER_06: So that's not this is I know I need to be very I need to be a nurse or something like that.
- 28:05SPEAKER_06: I need to be in the medical field.
- 28:06SPEAKER_06: This is where this is my career.
- 28:08SPEAKER_06: He's like, no, just try this.
- 28:10SPEAKER_06: And I tried it and it was the best thing in the world.
- 28:12SPEAKER_06: Like, I'm so glad I listened to him and I went forward, and he actually works with us today.
- 28:19SPEAKER_06: So it I'm very I tell him all the time, like, hey, if it wasn't for you pushing me, there would be no Olympian, there'd be no nothing.
- 28:25SPEAKER_06: I would be working somewhere else, and you know, who knows where life would have taken me.
- 28:30SPEAKER_06: But now I'm just I I I was meant for this.
- 28:32SPEAKER_06: Yeah, I was meant to to you know originate loans to help clients.
- 28:37SPEAKER_06: I every day it's just it's it's like closing my first loan, right?
- 28:41SPEAKER_06: Like the challenges, you know, income challenges or asset challenges or whatever the case is, those things that we overcome.
- 28:47SPEAKER_06: I'm like another one for the books, another one for the books.
- 28:49SPEAKER_06: Yeah, and I just have such a great team and I'm so lucky.
- 28:53SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 28:53SPEAKER_04: Yeah, it's funny because you said you were gonna go medical, and like I find in this industry, nobody like grew up dreaming of being a loan officer.
- 29:01SPEAKER_06: Nobody.
- 29:02SPEAKER_04: Or nobody grew up dreaming of being a real estate agent.
- 29:04SPEAKER_06: It's the hardest thing to sell.
- 29:05SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 29:06SPEAKER_06: It's like you can't you can't sell a mortgage.
- 29:09SPEAKER_06: You can't sell, like, yeah, here, here's the mortgage.
- 29:11SPEAKER_06: This is what it looks like.
- 29:12SPEAKER_06: You can touch it, you can take it home.
- 29:14SPEAKER_06: It's like it's not real.
- 29:15SPEAKER_06: Yeah, it's like I'm gonna sell you$300,000 worth of debt debt.
- 29:19SPEAKER_06: So you're can you sign here?
- 29:22SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 29:23SPEAKER_06: Like, wait, what?
- 29:24SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 29:25SPEAKER_06: But yeah, that's that's the best part.
- 29:27SPEAKER_06: That's the challenge.
- 29:28SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 29:28SPEAKER_06: When and and it's really about, you know, building those connections with your clients and getting those goals.
- 29:34SPEAKER_06: Like, I have clients that I've been dealing with for years.
- 29:37SPEAKER_06: And, you know, you you learn their story, you learn their life, even though you know, you know, even though they're like they're in California, they're in Colorado, they're here, they're there, and you're this person from Michigan.
- 29:48SPEAKER_06: Like it's just the connection that you can have with their finances and you know, help them accomplish their goals when it comes to cash out or whatever the case is, or even buying a house, it's so, it's so great, you know, you're so overwhelmed, you're so grateful, especially the connections you have with realtors.
- 30:04SPEAKER_06: There's some realtors that I've been dealing with for years, and I'm like, how did we even come together?
- 30:10SPEAKER_06: Like, how did this even happen?
- 30:11SPEAKER_06: Like, I love you, you're the best.
- 30:13SPEAKER_06: Yeah, and they're like, Yeah, you're the best too.
- 30:15SPEAKER_06: I'm like, oh my God, you're not even in Michigan.
- 30:18SPEAKER_06: It's great.
- 30:19SPEAKER_06: So it's it's fun, it's fun.
- 30:21SPEAKER_06: Like those realtors you become best friends with.
- 30:23SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 30:23SPEAKER_04: What what is what this is the other thing too?
- 30:26SPEAKER_04: I I see this, there's sometimes a line that runs between realtors and mortgage.
- 30:32SPEAKER_04: Because I've worked on both sides, right?
- 30:34SPEAKER_04: And I we always point the finger.
- 30:36SPEAKER_04: Well, the loan officer didn't do this, right?
- 30:38SPEAKER_04: Or the mortgage company is fall.
- 30:40SPEAKER_04: We do this as realtors.
- 30:41SPEAKER_04: Then the loan on the mortgage side, the mortgage loan officers are like, Realtors don't do anything.
- 30:46SPEAKER_04: You know what I mean?
- 30:47SPEAKER_04: Like, like they just whatever.
- 30:49SPEAKER_04: They just, you know, and I but but we our our goal is the same, though.
- 30:53SPEAKER_06: Get the client close, right?
- 30:55SPEAKER_04: Get the like I don't get paid unless you get paid.
- 30:57SPEAKER_06: That's how it works.
- 30:58SPEAKER_04: So why not we just put our arms around each other and like get to the finish line?
- 31:01SPEAKER_06: Let me hug you.
- 31:02SPEAKER_04: Yeah, let's just get to the finish line.
- 31:04SPEAKER_06: Well, the difference with Olympian mortgage, I do have to say this we do cater to our realtors.
- 31:08SPEAKER_06: We try to go above and beyond to help them with whatever the case is.
- 31:12SPEAKER_06: If it comes to it, making addendums, helping out with seller concessions, calling the listing agent, pushing this, pushing that, whatever they need to get the loan, you know, uh offer accepted or the loan closed.
- 31:24SPEAKER_06: We, you know, we we I have a special team that just specializes like in purchase and as well as taking care of the realtor.
- 31:32SPEAKER_06: Like, hey, here's our here's your processing line.
- 31:36SPEAKER_06: Call us anytime.
- 31:37SPEAKER_06: Whatever you need.
- 31:38SPEAKER_06: You want to know the status, here you go.
- 31:40SPEAKER_06: Because communication is key, especially in this industry.
- 31:43SPEAKER_04: A hundred percent.
- 31:43SPEAKER_06: So I'm really honored that my team, you know, goes above and beyond when it comes to making those realtor connections, especially my closing team.
- 31:51SPEAKER_06: They, hey, by the way, this is the day we're closing.
- 31:54SPEAKER_06: Everybody's on the same page, no one's left in the dark, which is something that we've strived, you know, to put that in place, those those pieces to the puzzle.
- 32:01SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 32:02SPEAKER_06: Just so everybody is on the same page and the transaction is smooth.
- 32:06SPEAKER_06: And, you know, it's hard buying a house.
- 32:07SPEAKER_06: It's scary, it's nerve-wracking, uh, especially when you're a first-time home buyer.
- 32:11SPEAKER_06: So why make it even more complicated?
- 32:13SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 32:14SPEAKER_06: Make it easy, especially for your realtor.
- 32:16SPEAKER_06: So if your realtor loves it, you love it, the client loves it, the mortgage company loves it, oh, perfect.
- 32:21SPEAKER_06: We're doing business all the time.
- 32:22SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 32:22SPEAKER_04: It makes it easy, right?
- 32:24SPEAKER_04: Exactly.
- 32:24SPEAKER_06: Yeah, this is easy.
- 32:25SPEAKER_06: No big deal.
- 32:26SPEAKER_06: Let's just sign.
- 32:28SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 32:28SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 32:28SPEAKER_04: And so so with the realtors, like how did you get your first real?
- 32:33SPEAKER_04: Like, how did you get to the first realtor?
- 32:34SPEAKER_06: So it's so funny because, okay, so we would, you know, we were buying leads.
- 32:38SPEAKER_06: We just started, we're in the living room, and we're buying leads and we're buying, you know, purchase leads.
- 32:44SPEAKER_06: And a lot of these clients come with realtors.
- 32:48SPEAKER_06: So then we have to not only convince the client to move forward, we're convincing the realtor to use this brand new lender.
- 32:56SPEAKER_06: And put all your faith in this random lender that you've never heard of that's has like one review on Google because we just started, but we got this.
- 33:06SPEAKER_06: We're we're gonna close your loans.
- 33:07SPEAKER_06: And honestly, the house.
- 33:09SPEAKER_06: Right.
- 33:10unknown: Yeah.
- 33:11SPEAKER_06: Come on, trust us, we're gonna close you.
- 33:13SPEAKER_04: My brother's gonna make potatoes earlier.
- 33:15SPEAKER_06: Yeah, come on, come on, don't worry about it.
- 33:16SPEAKER_06: Don't worry about it.
- 33:17SPEAKER_06: And I'm so lucky that the realtor is like, yeah, okay, just do it.
- 33:21SPEAKER_06: You got it.
- 33:22SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 33:22SPEAKER_06: And it just started, you know, with more reviews and more, you know, reaching out to the other realtors.
- 33:28SPEAKER_06: And it just we ended up starting to grow like a flock, and now we have like, you know, a Rolodex, like, oh, you need someone in this county?
- 33:34SPEAKER_06: Hold on.
- 33:36SPEAKER_06: Yes, we have somebody.
- 33:37SPEAKER_06: So it's just honestly just calling and asking and and having that talk with the client to communicate with the realtor.
- 33:45SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 33:45SPEAKER_06: Because I, you know, the way we say it is, hey, yes, you have the client bought in, but it's not just the client, the realtor is a huge part of that transaction.
- 33:54SPEAKER_06: So you need to make sure that the realtor is comfortable with this lender.
- 33:57SPEAKER_06: You need to make sure the real the realtor is comfortable with Olympian.
- 34:00SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 34:00SPEAKER_06: Because we're all going to be on the same page.
- 34:02SPEAKER_06: We can't be the realtor fighting the mortgage company because it never works out nicely when it's like that.
- 34:07SPEAKER_04: Right, right.
- 34:08SPEAKER_04: And that that's the other thing, too.
- 34:09SPEAKER_04: And I, but I I'm on realtors all the time too.
- 34:11SPEAKER_04: Like, you have to like I and I'm big on the the calling the listing agent.
- 34:16SPEAKER_04: It's huge.
- 34:17SPEAKER_04: It's huge.
- 34:17SPEAKER_06: You know, I was so surprised when there was a lot of people that didn't do that.
- 34:20SPEAKER_06: And I found out, like, oh, you don't call the listing agent?
- 34:23SPEAKER_06: Well, why not?
- 34:24SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 34:25SPEAKER_06: Like, what do you mean?
- 34:27SPEAKER_06: Don't you want the offer to get accepted?
- 34:29SPEAKER_04: I can't work with a with a with a mortgage company that they won't call the realtor.
- 34:33SPEAKER_04: Yeah, like I can't.
- 34:34SPEAKER_04: I just won't do it.
- 34:34SPEAKER_06: Oh no, that's our first thing.
- 34:36SPEAKER_06: Like, hey, do you want us to call now?
- 34:37SPEAKER_06: Later, what time should we call?
- 34:39SPEAKER_06: Do you want me to send a text?
- 34:40SPEAKER_06: Do you want me to do a group text?
- 34:42SPEAKER_06: Like, you know, when is it okay for me to reach in and like push them and say, hey, by the way, here's the offer, but here's the here's the conditional proof, like, here's all the information.
- 34:52SPEAKER_06: Like, hey, they're good to go.
- 34:53SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 34:54SPEAKER_04: Yeah, because and again, you know, then people will fight me back on it and say, Well, well, what's the more loan ups are gonna say?
- 34:59SPEAKER_04: They're not gonna say anything negative about their client.
- 35:01SPEAKER_04: I'm like, well, this is true, but they're also gonna ensure the fact that I have all their docs, we're all we're all the way to this point, we've got you know, pre-pre closing done, we've got we're we're we can close this thing fast.
- 35:14SPEAKER_04: Because now it used to be like, well, cash is faster.
- 35:17SPEAKER_04: It's like, well, not really, not anymore, right?
- 35:20SPEAKER_04: We're pretty quick.
- 35:21SPEAKER_04: That's easy to do.
- 35:22SPEAKER_04: What's your fastest closing you've ever had?
- 35:25SPEAKER_06: I've had a loan close probably seven, seven business days, you know, after and all the the laws.
- 35:32SPEAKER_06: Boom, ready to go.
- 35:34SPEAKER_06: Yeah, I would say seven.
- 35:35SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 35:36SPEAKER_04: It's crazy now, right?
- 35:37SPEAKER_04: Because it's it's different.
- 35:38SPEAKER_06: Oh, it's so different.
- 35:39SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 35:40SPEAKER_04: Like the whole well, I clack cash, I can close faster.
- 35:43SPEAKER_04: I'm like, can you?
- 35:44SPEAKER_04: No, not really.
- 35:44SPEAKER_06: It's the same thing.
- 35:45SPEAKER_06: Yeah, it's a cash offer, so who cares?
- 35:47SPEAKER_06: That doesn't mean anything.
- 35:48SPEAKER_04: Yeah, you're not getting you're not getting a duffel bag of cash.
- 35:50SPEAKER_06: So am I.
- 35:51SPEAKER_06: I'm a cash offer too.
- 35:52SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 35:53SPEAKER_06: What does that matter?
- 35:54SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 35:54SPEAKER_06: Just the cash is coming from a mortgage company.
- 35:57SPEAKER_06: It's fine.
- 35:57SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 35:58SPEAKER_06: Yeah, no, I just and it's crazy how everything's done.
- 36:01SPEAKER_06: You can do it right off your phone.
- 36:03SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 36:04SPEAKER_06: Signed, sealed, delivered, closing right off your phone.
- 36:07SPEAKER_06: Here's where you can send me the money, here's where you can do this, here's when you do that, and boom, you bought a house.
- 36:11SPEAKER_06: Or boom, you refinanced your house.
- 36:13SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 36:13SPEAKER_06: Like, oh, done.
- 36:14SPEAKER_06: That was easy.
- 36:15SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 36:16SPEAKER_04: Technology has moved so quickly.
- 36:19SPEAKER_04: Like COVID sped us up.
- 36:21SPEAKER_06: Big time.
- 36:22SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 36:22SPEAKER_04: COVID just kind of, I think, put like the fast forward button on technology to where now it's AI, right?
- 36:27SPEAKER_04: Like, how much AI is in your business?
- 36:29SPEAKER_06: So much.
- 36:30SPEAKER_06: Responses, you know, with the like auto dialer, with the the voicemails, with the auto texting, the responses from AI, the go on the website, hey, I'm interested, and then AI responds back, and then you get a loan officer.
- 36:47SPEAKER_06: I'm like, we're constantly like changing the technology to add AI in.
- 36:51SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 36:52SPEAKER_06: Because it's this is the way to go.
- 36:53SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 36:54SPEAKER_06: But you're always gonna need a loan officer.
- 36:56SPEAKER_06: You're always gonna leave.
- 36:57SPEAKER_04: You're always gonna need that.
- 36:58SPEAKER_04: And you're always gonna need a realtor.
- 36:59SPEAKER_06: Yes.
- 37:00SPEAKER_04: Because you can't replace this.
- 37:01SPEAKER_06: Yes.
- 37:02SPEAKER_06: Right?
- 37:02SPEAKER_04: You can't replace this.
- 37:03SPEAKER_04: This is what they need.
- 37:04SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 37:04SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 37:05SPEAKER_04: That's one of the big deep dives I've been on in my businesses.
- 37:08SPEAKER_04: It's because I've always been a big coach and trainer and believer on emotional intelligence, right?
- 37:13SPEAKER_04: Like calm, cool, collective.
- 37:15SPEAKER_04: We're never gonna go spike and go crazy, and we're never gonna get too depressed, right?
- 37:19SPEAKER_04: We're gonna stay even keel.
- 37:22SPEAKER_04: But with AI, though, I've found people are trying to advance everything, right?
- 37:27SPEAKER_04: And AI just is an amplifier.
- 37:29SPEAKER_04: So it just speeds everything up, which is great, unless you're living in chaos already.
- 37:33SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 37:33SPEAKER_04: And if you're living in chaos already and you speed it up, you're just in more chaos.
- 37:36SPEAKER_06: You're like, no, I can't do anything now.
- 37:38SPEAKER_06: Hold on.
- 37:38SPEAKER_06: I want to step back.
- 37:39SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 37:39SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 37:40SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 37:40SPEAKER_04: So it's like it's, but that's where the it's never going to be replaced this conversation.
- 37:44SPEAKER_06: No, you're always gonna need the realtor, you're always gonna need the loan officer.
- 37:47SPEAKER_06: Yeah, you're always gonna need that personal touch to feel, okay, I'm doing the right thing.
- 37:52SPEAKER_04: Processors.
- 37:53SPEAKER_06: I mean, I love my hold on, my processors are amazing.
- 37:56SPEAKER_06: And my closers.
- 37:57SPEAKER_06: Shout out, girls, love you.
- 37:58SPEAKER_04: Well, the closers you're probably always gonna need too, right?
- 38:00SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 38:01SPEAKER_04: You're always gonna need somebody to go sit.
- 38:02SPEAKER_04: Well, I'm not, but my thing is all right, so here's my only beef with mortgages.
- 38:07SPEAKER_01: Uh-oh.
- 38:08SPEAKER_04: The paperwork at the closing.
- 38:10SPEAKER_04: I'm like, do we need to sign 75 documents?
- 38:13SPEAKER_04: You do.
- 38:14SPEAKER_06: That's compliance.
- 38:15SPEAKER_04: I know, but like we do everything else ver electronically.
- 38:19SPEAKER_06: Well, they're starting to do, you know, the hybrid where like you can do half of it electronically, but then the rest of it, you need that hard, that hard signature.
- 38:26SPEAKER_04: Because I'm like, how many trees do we have to kill?
- 38:28SPEAKER_04: I know closing.
- 38:30SPEAKER_06: And then the loan, the mortgage company has to hold the documents.
- 38:32SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 38:33SPEAKER_06: I'm like, I've never had so many, so many, so much paperwork in my life.
- 38:37SPEAKER_04: Like, but seven years, you gotta hang on to it.
- 38:40SPEAKER_06: Yeah, and then that's how you get paid too, right?
- 38:42SPEAKER_06: Because like we're funding their own loans, so we have to make sure the the the hard signature gets to the warehouse line and goes back and forth.
- 38:49SPEAKER_04: So I swear it's the paper companies.
- 38:51SPEAKER_06: Oh, they're making money.
- 38:52SPEAKER_04: Yeah, but I swear it's them making us do this.
- 38:54SPEAKER_04: Oh, yeah.
- 38:54SPEAKER_04: Like the paper companies, like, no, no, you have to have everything signed.
- 38:57SPEAKER_06: It's they're all in cahoots, they're all in cahoots with the the the warehouse line and all that stuff.
- 39:01SPEAKER_06: They're like, listen, we're gonna, and that's how they keep UPS alive too.
- 39:04SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 39:04SPEAKER_06: Because we gotta we gotta next air to the next company.
- 39:07SPEAKER_04: Well, there's drones for that now, so you know I haven't used those yet.
- 39:10SPEAKER_06: So I mean UPS is my best friend.
- 39:12SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 39:12SPEAKER_06: FedEx, I love those tracking labels.
- 39:14SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 39:15SPEAKER_04: Well, you know, our office in Auburn Hills, like we can sometimes out the window, you'll just see drones like going back and forth.
- 39:20SPEAKER_04: No way.
- 39:21SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 39:21SPEAKER_04: I'm like, oh, this is wild.
- 39:22SPEAKER_06: Here's the mortgage note.
- 39:24SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 39:26SPEAKER_04: Well, you know, it's it's the Amazons, right?
- 39:28SPEAKER_04: Like, it's it, you can now you it used to be you used to have to wait like a a week to get something.
- 39:34SPEAKER_06: Now it's the next day.
- 39:35SPEAKER_04: Or the same day.
- 39:36SPEAKER_04: I know.
- 39:37SPEAKER_04: Like, depending on what you order, it's the same day.
- 39:39SPEAKER_06: And you're watching it every day.
- 39:41SPEAKER_04: And it gives you an update and says your package was just delivered with a picture of it on your porch.
- 39:44SPEAKER_04: I'm like, what the heck is this?
- 39:46SPEAKER_06: Thank you.
- 39:47SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 39:48SPEAKER_04: I'm like, my brother and I went out to dinner last night and we had this conversation, and he's like, There's never gonna be a generation like mine, right?
- 39:55SPEAKER_04: Like, I'm a Gen X.
- 39:56SPEAKER_06: Okay.
- 39:57SPEAKER_04: Where we we had to wait for everything.
- 40:00SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 40:01SPEAKER_04: Like we had to wait for everything.
- 40:02SPEAKER_04: Like we used to have to go turn the channel.
- 40:04SPEAKER_06: Oh my god.
- 40:04SPEAKER_06: You know what I mean?
- 40:05SPEAKER_04: Like we used to have to walk across the room and turn the channel.
- 40:08SPEAKER_04: So that's why if something was on, you just left it.
- 40:09SPEAKER_04: Because it was like, whatever.
- 40:10SPEAKER_04: I don't want to I don't flip it up.
- 40:11SPEAKER_04: I'm not getting up.
- 40:12SPEAKER_04: I'm not getting up again to go turn the channel.
- 40:13SPEAKER_06: What do you mean, VHS?
- 40:15SPEAKER_06: I I'm never my son's never gonna see what a VHS is.
- 40:17SPEAKER_04: No.
- 40:18SPEAKER_06: Or a DVD.
- 40:19SPEAKER_04: No.
- 40:19SPEAKER_06: You just you just have the app now.
- 40:21SPEAKER_04: No, and have no idea what an eight-track is.
- 40:23SPEAKER_06: No, nothing.
- 40:24SPEAKER_04: Or what record players are making their way back though.
- 40:26SPEAKER_06: Yes, because that's vintage.
- 40:27SPEAKER_06: Yes.
- 40:28SPEAKER_06: That's exciting.
- 40:28SPEAKER_06: That's like that's a collector's.
- 40:30SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 40:30SPEAKER_06: But like CD players, like the Walkman.
- 40:33SPEAKER_06: Yeah, that's all.
- 40:34SPEAKER_06: It's gone.
- 40:34SPEAKER_04: It's all and you don't even need another device, you don't even need an iPod because it's all right here.
- 40:39SPEAKER_06: It's just an app.
- 40:40SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 40:40SPEAKER_06: It's done.
- 40:40SPEAKER_04: Yep.
- 40:41SPEAKER_04: And I just think of technology, like since I was a kid, right?
- 40:44SPEAKER_04: Like I remember the boom box was like the first big thing.
- 40:47SPEAKER_02: Oh, that was so cool.
- 40:48SPEAKER_04: But it took 9D batteries.
- 40:51SPEAKER_04: Like, and it didn't even last the whole day.
- 40:53SPEAKER_04: No, it didn't.
- 40:54SPEAKER_04: I was like, man, that was expensive.
- 40:56SPEAKER_04: Now everything's chargeable and solar and whatever else.
- 41:00SPEAKER_04: Like you just do whatever.
- 41:01SPEAKER_04: And I think that's that's been the biggest difference, and I think the biggest impact in our industry is the technology, right?
- 41:07SPEAKER_04: You go to UWM and talk to Matt, and it's like all these things that are coming down the road.
- 41:12SPEAKER_06: What do you mean?
- 41:13SPEAKER_06: How he can get the CD out instantly?
- 41:15SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 41:15SPEAKER_06: Like, oh, you just get all this done and boom, your CD's out.
- 41:18SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 41:18SPEAKER_06: Like same thing with Rongo.
- 41:19SPEAKER_06: Get all this done, your CD's out.
- 41:21SPEAKER_06: Like, how crazy is that?
- 41:23SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 41:24SPEAKER_06: Like, what?
- 41:24SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 41:25SPEAKER_06: You can send a wire instantly.
- 41:26SPEAKER_06: Your money, boom, instantly.
- 41:28SPEAKER_06: You're done.
- 41:28SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 41:29SPEAKER_04: What's that been like for you guys as a growth from the living room to now two offices, technology-wise?
- 41:35SPEAKER_04: Oh many CRMs have you been through?
- 41:37SPEAKER_06: So we we finished out our Salesforce ramp up, like our Salesforce build-out, which is so exciting because we used to have all these softwares.
- 41:46SPEAKER_06: Now we are gonna have everything centralized, one login, everything talks to each other.
- 41:50SPEAKER_06: Now we're adding like the gamified features to it to make it more exciting.
- 41:54SPEAKER_06: Yeah, like leaderboards.
- 41:56SPEAKER_06: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 41:56SPEAKER_06: You gotta, oh, you did this, you get a we get a medal.
- 41:59SPEAKER_06: Hello, how many medals are you gonna get this week?
- 42:01SPEAKER_06: Right.
- 42:01SPEAKER_06: You get a prize.
- 42:02SPEAKER_06: You gotta keep people excited.
- 42:04SPEAKER_06: Yeah, but yeah, it's great.
- 42:06SPEAKER_06: Like, I I can't believe how we can have everything talk to each other.
- 42:09SPEAKER_06: And like my brother and my husband, they're more like the techie side of things.
- 42:13SPEAKER_06: So like they'll like, oh, look, we can pull this report and we can check on this and we can do this and we can do that.
- 42:18SPEAKER_06: And I'm like, wow, this is crazy.
- 42:19SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 42:19SPEAKER_06: I'm like, okay, let's do it.
- 42:21SPEAKER_06: Let's do it.
- 42:22SPEAKER_06: So yeah, no, I mean it's it's making our my life easier with reporting and compliance and you know, training new people to just have one spot to do everything.
- 42:33SPEAKER_06: So that's exciting.
- 42:34SPEAKER_04: That's huge.
- 42:35SPEAKER_04: Because you know, you find with new and new employees, it's like, well, yeah, or learn this and then learn this and then learn this.
- 42:42SPEAKER_06: But don't go there for that because that doesn't do it.
- 42:44SPEAKER_06: So you gotta go back to this one.
- 42:45SPEAKER_06: Did you not get that login?
- 42:47SPEAKER_06: Okay, hold on, let's get you that login.
- 42:48SPEAKER_06: Let me call Randy.
- 42:49SPEAKER_06: Give me a second.
- 42:50SPEAKER_06: Oh, wait, nope, that's not the one.
- 42:52SPEAKER_06: Hold on.
- 42:53SPEAKER_06: Now it's just gonna be like, okay, it's all right there.
- 42:55SPEAKER_04: Yeah, you can't miss it.
- 42:56SPEAKER_06: I love it.
- 42:57SPEAKER_06: We got that.
- 42:58SPEAKER_06: So it's great.
- 42:58SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 42:59SPEAKER_04: Ease of use.
- 43:00SPEAKER_06: Yes.
- 43:01SPEAKER_04: That's super important.
- 43:02SPEAKER_06: You know what I thought it was crazy?
- 43:03SPEAKER_06: Is texting your clients.
- 43:05SPEAKER_06: Like, there's so many people that don't do it, and there's so many people that do do it, but like, hey, by the way, I'll just send you a text message.
- 43:11SPEAKER_06: You send me your documents, call it a day, this and that.
- 43:13SPEAKER_06: I'm like, man, you can do a whole mortgage just through a text message.
- 43:17SPEAKER_06: Like, I can't believe it.
- 43:19SPEAKER_04: I never actually speak to anybody.
- 43:20SPEAKER_06: Yeah, isn't that crazy?
- 43:21SPEAKER_06: Or you'll they'll speak to you once they get to closing.
- 43:24SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 43:24SPEAKER_06: But I'm like, the whole entire transaction just happened via text.
- 43:27SPEAKER_06: I'll send you the link, fill out the link.
- 43:29SPEAKER_06: Okay, I got your link.
- 43:30SPEAKER_06: Now I got your documents, and I'm gonna send you docs.
- 43:33SPEAKER_04: Isn't that crazy?
- 43:34SPEAKER_06: I know, and they just bought a house.
- 43:35SPEAKER_06: Like, boom.
- 43:36SPEAKER_04: Like think about that, uh, even five years ago.
- 43:40SPEAKER_06: Well, remember when Rocket did like that big thing, like mortgage in a box, or like what is it called?
- 43:45SPEAKER_06: Like click button, get mortgage.
- 43:46SPEAKER_04: Click button, get mortgage.
- 43:48SPEAKER_04: Well, so so you know Dan started with the mortgage in a box.
- 43:51SPEAKER_04: Right, so that was the original thing, and that was that was before technology.
- 43:56SPEAKER_04: So literally you got a And they thought he was crazy, yeah.
- 43:59SPEAKER_04: But you literally would get a box delivered to your house.
- 44:01SPEAKER_06: Oh, yeah, now I remember.
- 44:02SPEAKER_04: And then you the each flap had a a directions on it of what to fill out first and how to do it.
- 44:09SPEAKER_04: But that was yeah, like that was his mortgage and a box idea, and people thought he was nuts.
- 44:13SPEAKER_04: Now it's it was But like if you think about it from from a consumer standpoint, because they don't know what we do.
- 44:18SPEAKER_06: Exactly.
- 44:19SPEAKER_04: They have no idea.
- 44:20SPEAKER_04: Real estate mortgage, they have no idea what goes in the back end of everything.
- 44:24SPEAKER_04: So, but if you think about it from the consumer, if you could just flip this tab open, okay, I have to do this, and then I could turn this one and that so that was simple.
- 44:30SPEAKER_04: Yeah, and then you put everything back in there, put it, put the box back together and send it back.
- 44:34SPEAKER_06: And call it a day.
- 44:35SPEAKER_04: All that paperwork.
- 44:37SPEAKER_06: Like, oh, I just did my mortgage.
- 44:38SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 44:39SPEAKER_06: Now, now they that they did the app.
- 44:41SPEAKER_06: Okay, now we can do everything on the app.
- 44:42SPEAKER_06: Okay, now we're now we're doing Like it's just it's just so crazy.
- 44:46SPEAKER_06: It's so exciting.
- 44:47SPEAKER_04: Yeah, it is.
- 44:48SPEAKER_04: It is.
- 44:48SPEAKER_04: And but think about what you did.
- 44:50SPEAKER_04: You know what I mean?
- 44:50SPEAKER_04: Like you just said, I'm leaving here.
- 44:52SPEAKER_04: I'm gonna go start my own.
- 44:54SPEAKER_04: We'll just start it in the living room.
- 44:55SPEAKER_04: Like the technology, just to even be able to do that.
- 44:57SPEAKER_06: I know, right?
- 45:00SPEAKER_06: All on the headsets with the thank God for Wi-Fi.
- 45:03SPEAKER_06: All on the headsets, the Wi-Fi, this, that.
- 45:06SPEAKER_06: I'm like, okay, perfect.
- 45:07SPEAKER_06: We got this.
- 45:08SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 45:08SPEAKER_06: No problem.
- 45:09SPEAKER_02: No problem.
- 45:09unknown: Yeah.
- 45:11SPEAKER_04: We can do this.
- 45:12SPEAKER_06: This is not, this is not hard.
- 45:13SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 45:14SPEAKER_04: But that's the attitude it takes to do it.
- 45:16SPEAKER_04: Is we got this, whatever, you know, and I'm sure that there had to be days where you're like, what are we doing?
- 45:22SPEAKER_06: Oh, all the time.
- 45:23SPEAKER_06: What do you mean?
- 45:24SPEAKER_06: Even this morning, I'm like, what am I doing?
- 45:25SPEAKER_06: I come on this podcast.
- 45:27SPEAKER_06: Is this really this me right now?
- 45:29SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 45:29SPEAKER_06: I'm like, okay, we got this.
- 45:30SPEAKER_04: Yeah, these are new challenges.
- 45:32SPEAKER_06: Oh, this is huge.
- 45:33SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 45:33SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 45:34SPEAKER_04: But what was it like the the first day in the in the house?
- 45:38SPEAKER_04: What was that like?
- 45:39SPEAKER_06: It was like, what do we do now?
- 45:41SPEAKER_06: Okay, so we have our NMLS and we have our lender information, and we've just got licensed in seven states.
- 45:48SPEAKER_06: So let's just start calling people.
- 45:50SPEAKER_06: Let's see who wants to do a loan with us.
- 45:52SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 45:52SPEAKER_06: And then like learning the technology for the different lenders, and then figuring out how to clear conditions and then figuring out what closing is.
- 46:00SPEAKER_06: There was times where, like, you know, learning about certain fees with certain states.
- 46:06SPEAKER_06: Me and me and Randy would be sitting there for hours.
- 46:08SPEAKER_06: Okay, how do we fix this?
- 46:10SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 46:10SPEAKER_06: What do we do now?
- 46:11SPEAKER_06: And you know, we we got messy and we fixed it and we called, and we're really good at using our resources.
- 46:18SPEAKER_06: Okay.
- 46:19SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 46:19SPEAKER_06: Call this person for 911.
- 46:21SPEAKER_06: Call this person for help.
- 46:22SPEAKER_06: I'm like, okay, perfect.
- 46:23SPEAKER_06: And it was just, it was really exciting to like go through those first couple of loans and like, okay, we've closed, we closed 30 loans in the living room this month.
- 46:32SPEAKER_06: Right.
- 46:33SPEAKER_06: Like, what?
- 46:34SPEAKER_06: And and then just the number keeps growing and the states keep growing and the communication and the contacts, you know, the realtors calling in.
- 46:42SPEAKER_06: Where are oh the the title cut title company calling the title company?
- 46:46SPEAKER_06: You know, I'm Sarah with the processing team.
- 46:48SPEAKER_06: Okay, and now no, I'm Sarah with the closing team.
- 46:50SPEAKER_06: Right.
- 46:50SPEAKER_06: Oh, I'm the loan officer named Sarah.
- 46:54SPEAKER_06: Like, you got a lot of Sarah's at this clock.
- 46:56SPEAKER_06: Yeah, I do.
- 46:57SPEAKER_04: We just name everybody Sarah.
- 46:58SPEAKER_04: It makes it a lot easier.
- 47:00SPEAKER_06: So simple, you know.
- 47:01SPEAKER_06: That's that's how we do it.
- 47:02SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 47:02SPEAKER_06: Oh, I'm Sarah post-closing.
- 47:04SPEAKER_06: Yes.
- 47:04SPEAKER_06: By the way, I still need this.
- 47:06SPEAKER_06: So yeah, that was great.
- 47:08SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 47:08SPEAKER_04: Yeah, it's it's such a cool story.
- 47:10SPEAKER_04: But to and then to where you guys are going are two offices now.
- 47:13SPEAKER_06: I know, and then who knows?
- 47:14SPEAKER_06: Who knows what'll happen next month?
- 47:17SPEAKER_06: We'll have another office.
- 47:17SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 47:18SPEAKER_06: We'll have another, yeah.
- 47:19SPEAKER_06: We'll see what happens.
- 47:20SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 47:20SPEAKER_06: I love it.
- 47:20SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 47:21SPEAKER_04: I can't stop.
- 47:22SPEAKER_04: It's it's good because like you're again, you're surrounded by your family, your faith, right?
- 47:27SPEAKER_04: Like those are all the and I can't stress that enough.
- 47:29SPEAKER_04: Like, if my tagline is always like my faith family real estate, right?
- 47:32SPEAKER_04: Like that's the Oh really?
- 47:33SPEAKER_06: Yeah, I know that.
- 47:34SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 47:34SPEAKER_04: So it's like faith, family real estate.
- 47:36SPEAKER_04: Like that's the that's my foundation, right?
- 47:38SPEAKER_04: And it and and it's like, how can it the more and then again the more I give, the more I receive, right?
- 47:44SPEAKER_04: So I always find that that was one of the things I had to come up with, though, because we're so caught up in chasing the money.
- 47:51SPEAKER_04: And it happens.
- 47:52SPEAKER_04: Look, we do this to pay bills.
- 47:54SPEAKER_06: Exactly.
- 47:54SPEAKER_06: And this is how we this is how I feed my family.
- 47:56SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 47:56SPEAKER_06: Like, this is how I I turn the lights on.
- 47:58SPEAKER_06: This is how I make sure, like, because like, you know, I was telling my husband and my brother, I'm like, you know, it's all on us.
- 48:04SPEAKER_06: Like, if this doesn't work, it's the whole family going down.
- 48:07SPEAKER_06: It's not just you and me, it's it's the whole unit.
- 48:11SPEAKER_06: So we gotta be, we we gotta be successful here.
- 48:13SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 48:14SPEAKER_04: So it's was there ever a day that it was like we're like, oh my god, a breakdown?
- 48:18SPEAKER_06: Oh, yeah, all the time.
- 48:19SPEAKER_06: What do you mean?
- 48:20SPEAKER_06: I'm I was I was pregnant, I'm pregnant now.
- 48:22SPEAKER_06: Every other day, I'm like, are we gonna make it?
- 48:24SPEAKER_06: Is this gonna happen?
- 48:26SPEAKER_06: My brother's like, You're good, we're good, everything's great.
- 48:28SPEAKER_06: This is a great day.
- 48:29SPEAKER_06: I'm like, okay, all right, perfect.
- 48:31SPEAKER_06: I was just worried.
- 48:32SPEAKER_06: I'm good.
- 48:33SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 48:33SPEAKER_04: So and and again, the the the the message, I think, to people out there that are whether they're listening now or listening later, is it's it's one, it's having faith, right?
- 48:43SPEAKER_04: But it's surrounding yourself with the right people.
- 48:45SPEAKER_06: That culture.
- 48:46SPEAKER_06: Yeah, your your support system.
- 48:48SPEAKER_06: You always you need someone to lean on.
- 48:49SPEAKER_06: You need you need someone to have that confidence, someone that you trust, someone has, you know, the best eye for Olympian.
- 48:56SPEAKER_06: Because we say this with everybody in my leadership team, you know, we we've because we've expanded so much.
- 49:02SPEAKER_06: You know, I have a trainer, his name is JD, I have Rami, I have my husband, I have, you know, my husband's Zaid.
- 49:09SPEAKER_06: I always call him my husband, but we got to be professional.
- 49:11SPEAKER_06: His name is Zaid.
- 49:13SPEAKER_06: My brothers, my closing team.
- 49:15SPEAKER_06: We just say, hey, it's not about, you know, the ego or pride.
- 49:19SPEAKER_06: It's not about who's right or what's right, it's about what's the best for Olympian mortgage.
- 49:23SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 49:24SPEAKER_06: What's gonna, what do we need to do to push the name at the door?
- 49:27SPEAKER_06: That's what is right.
- 49:29SPEAKER_06: You know, it's not a that's just that's how we do it.
- 49:31SPEAKER_06: What's whatever, whatever's the best interest for the company, because we want to continue the brand and the culture and the environment, and that's what we do.
- 49:40SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 49:40SPEAKER_06: So I love that.
- 49:41SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 49:41SPEAKER_04: And taking, you know, then again, it's taking care of the clients at a high level, right?
- 49:45SPEAKER_04: Clients have to win.
- 49:47SPEAKER_06: Always.
- 49:47SPEAKER_04: Even if it's a loss to us.
- 49:49SPEAKER_06: That's okay.
- 49:50SPEAKER_06: We'll figure it out.
- 49:52SPEAKER_06: That's okay.
- 49:52SPEAKER_06: Let's just close it.
- 49:53SPEAKER_04: Maybe early on in the living room was like, I'm not losing on this one.
- 49:56SPEAKER_04: Oh no, it was like, we're not losing a penny.
- 49:58SPEAKER_06: Wait a minute here.
- 50:00SPEAKER_06: Like, what?
- 50:01SPEAKER_06: Well, what do you mean?
- 50:01SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 50:02SPEAKER_06: But yeah, I mean, that's just we're whatever we have to do to close the loan.
- 50:06SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 50:07SPEAKER_06: And we're gonna do it.
- 50:08SPEAKER_06: Because we want to make sure our clients are happy.
- 50:10SPEAKER_06: They trust us with their, you know, their finances, with their home.
- 50:13SPEAKER_06: At the end of the day, this is where they sleep, this is where they raise their family.
- 50:16SPEAKER_06: Yeah, and it's nice to let them remember, like, oh, I'm an Olympian.
- 50:19SPEAKER_06: I just close my mortgage with Olympian mortgage.
- 50:22SPEAKER_06: I'm a winner.
- 50:23SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 50:23SPEAKER_06: I have the golden standard.
- 50:24SPEAKER_04: Then you send them some Olympia swag, and it's all a day.
- 50:28SPEAKER_06: Send me some referrals.
- 50:30SPEAKER_06: And then give me a nice review online.
- 50:32SPEAKER_04: Yeah, give me my Google reviews and a nice referral and a referral.
- 50:34SPEAKER_04: I'll take those are what I'll take.
- 50:36SPEAKER_04: Here's a t-shirt.
- 50:37SPEAKER_04: Ink and a mug.
- 50:38SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 50:40SPEAKER_04: Man, but here, so what is so I you're open the second office.
- 50:45SPEAKER_04: What's the what's your big picture for Olympian mortgage?
- 50:50SPEAKER_06: So my big picture would be, you know, I want to really grow our purchase brand.
- 50:55SPEAKER_06: I want to grow our brand awareness, you know, throughout the United States, not just Michigan.
- 50:59SPEAKER_06: And then we also have like a Spanish division, which I'm, you know, growing slowly, you know, more loan officers, more states, you know, having maybe multiple little branches in other states, and just everybody living the same culture, everybody living the same standards and doing the right thing for our clients and being successful, making a lot of money from it, and just having a great time, having fun.
- 51:22SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 51:23SPEAKER_04: And I love that.
- 51:24SPEAKER_04: And here's a funny story.
- 51:25SPEAKER_04: Tell me.
- 51:25SPEAKER_04: So when I was at Quicken, I was ism assurance.
- 51:29SPEAKER_04: So we were the ones sending out the evaluations, right?
- 51:31SPEAKER_05: No way.
- 51:31SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 51:32SPEAKER_04: So I was the first one doing isms and servicing.
- 51:37SPEAKER_04: But I also, the what fell under me for some reason was the Spanish-speaking bankers.
- 51:42SPEAKER_06: Oh, no way.
- 51:43SPEAKER_04: I don't speak Spanish.
- 51:45SPEAKER_06: Really?
- 51:45SPEAKER_04: No.
- 51:46SPEAKER_06: I really thought you were Latino with the blue eyes.
- 51:48SPEAKER_06: I was like, man, a little Cuban or maybe a little Puerto Rican.
- 51:51SPEAKER_04: But I mean, I don't even speak it.
- 51:52SPEAKER_04: So it's not even like I learned it.
- 51:54SPEAKER_04: You know what I mean?
- 51:54SPEAKER_04: I don't have any idea.
- 51:55SPEAKER_04: So I literally had to hire a guy to go with like we I had to fly out to Arizona to meet with their Spanish-speaking bankers to pull up to build their evaluations.
- 52:03SPEAKER_04: No.
- 52:04SPEAKER_04: Because I didn't know what the heck they were, any of them were saying.
- 52:07SPEAKER_04: I'm like, I hired a guy.
- 52:08SPEAKER_04: Literally, brought him over from the banker floor, came over to work with me, and then we flew out to Arizona because I'm like, I don't know what anyone should be.
- 52:17SPEAKER_04: Cervasa, that's all I got.
- 52:18SPEAKER_04: That's all cerveza.
- 52:19SPEAKER_04: That's all I know.
- 52:20SPEAKER_06: Like, what are we selling here?
- 52:21SPEAKER_04: Yeah, go cervasa.
- 52:22SPEAKER_04: Like, that's all I got.
- 52:23SPEAKER_04: Oh my God.
- 52:24SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 52:25SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 52:26SPEAKER_04: I'm like, I don't know.
- 52:27SPEAKER_04: How that fell under me, I don't have I still don't have any idea.
- 52:30SPEAKER_04: But I got through it.
- 52:31SPEAKER_05: Hey, there you go.
- 52:32SPEAKER_05: I figured it out.
- 52:33SPEAKER_05: You have a solution.
- 52:34SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 52:34SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 52:35SPEAKER_04: Solution focused.
- 52:36SPEAKER_04: And I don't know if they were talking about me in the meeting or not, because I don't know what anyone was saying.
- 52:40SPEAKER_06: Were they giving you high fives at the end?
- 52:42SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 52:42SPEAKER_06: Okay, then you're good.
- 52:43SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 52:43SPEAKER_06: You made it.
- 52:44SPEAKER_06: You survived.
- 52:45SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 52:45SPEAKER_04: You survived.
- 52:45SPEAKER_04: I feel like I'm a likable guy.
- 52:47SPEAKER_04: You know what?
- 52:47SPEAKER_04: I I like you.
- 52:48SPEAKER_04: Why not?
- 52:49SPEAKER_06: Why not?
- 52:49unknown: Yeah.
- 52:50SPEAKER_04: I feel like I'm likable enough to survive.
- 52:51SPEAKER_06: The fact that you have everybody come onto your 7:30 in the morning podcast, I'm like, whoa, this guy's got us like hypnotized over here.
- 52:57SPEAKER_06: Like, okay, I'm gonna do this, Jimmy.
- 52:59SPEAKER_06: Whatever you need.
- 53:00SPEAKER_04: Yeah, yeah.
- 53:01SPEAKER_04: Like I said, I had Dade on last week, and you know, Dade's not a morning guy.
- 53:04SPEAKER_06: I'm a morning person, but the 45-minute drive, I'm like, aye, aye.
- 53:09SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 53:09SPEAKER_06: But hey, we did it.
- 53:10SPEAKER_04: It's content.
- 53:11SPEAKER_04: It's all about the content.
- 53:12SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 53:13SPEAKER_04: It's all about the content.
- 53:14SPEAKER_04: So Olympian mortgage.
- 53:16SPEAKER_04: Yes.
- 53:16SPEAKER_04: You're now in Troy, Dearborn.
- 53:19SPEAKER_04: Dearborn.
- 53:20SPEAKER_06: So would you be coming nationwide anywhere else?
- 53:22SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 53:22SPEAKER_06: Whoever wants to make a branch.
- 53:24SPEAKER_04: Now, would you, yeah, would you, would you, would you like, would you open I would open, like, I want to do a branch in Florida, Texas, Cali.
- 53:32SPEAKER_06: Why not?
- 53:33SPEAKER_06: The more the merrier, baby.
- 53:34SPEAKER_06: Let's do it.
- 53:35SPEAKER_06: You want to you're if you're a loan officer, shameless plug.
- 53:38SPEAKER_06: If you're a loan officer and you're like, hey, I need I need somebody to guide me and I need to do this, give me a call.
- 53:44SPEAKER_06: Olympian mortgage.
- 53:44SPEAKER_06: Sarah Mutus White.
- 53:46SPEAKER_06: We got you.
- 53:48SPEAKER_04: I love that, but again, throwing it out there.
- 53:50SPEAKER_06: I mean, why not?
- 53:51SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 53:51SPEAKER_06: You think, hey, you want a support system with an amazing background, amazing loan officers, amazing team.
- 53:57SPEAKER_06: We're here.
- 53:58SPEAKER_06: Let's do it.
- 53:58SPEAKER_06: Let's open up your branch.
- 53:59SPEAKER_06: Let's make you an Olympian.
- 54:01SPEAKER_04: I love that.
- 54:02SPEAKER_06: Why not?
- 54:02SPEAKER_04: I love that.
- 54:03SPEAKER_04: And again, it's it's again, not afraid of growth, not afraid of just I mean, again, you started in your living room, so you'll figure it out.
- 54:10SPEAKER_06: Yeah, well, I mean, why not?
- 54:11SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 54:12SPEAKER_04: You'll figure it out.
- 54:13SPEAKER_06: Nothing's gonna stop us.
- 54:14SPEAKER_06: We're really unstoppable.
- 54:16SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 54:16SPEAKER_04: I love that, but I I I love the fact one, your brother's sitting right over here.
- 54:19SPEAKER_04: So that's why if everybody had a camera, he's sitting right here.
- 54:22SPEAKER_04: But I think that the the family aspect of everything, and then like the be because that is so strong, that's what makes Olympian so strong.
- 54:31SPEAKER_06: 100%.
- 54:32SPEAKER_04: Because you know you're not doing this alone.
- 54:33SPEAKER_06: No.
- 54:34SPEAKER_06: I have like such a great team, such a great support system, people that keep me grounded.
- 54:39SPEAKER_06: I keep people grounded.
- 54:40SPEAKER_06: We're we all hold each other accountable to a higher standard, and that's how Olympian is has you know, we're we're going on a couple of years now.
- 54:47SPEAKER_06: Our anniversary is this month, actually.
- 54:49SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 54:49SPEAKER_06: So what's how many, how many years?
- 54:52SPEAKER_06: We started in 2022.
- 54:53SPEAKER_04: Okay.
- 54:53SPEAKER_04: So we have four years.
- 54:55SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 54:56SPEAKER_06: We're about to be, yeah, four years old.
- 54:57SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 54:58SPEAKER_06: Go us.
- 54:58SPEAKER_04: Yeah, go you for sure.
- 55:01SPEAKER_04: Think about what you did in four years.
- 55:02SPEAKER_06: I know, right?
- 55:03SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 55:04SPEAKER_06: All the loans, yeah, all the fun.
- 55:06SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 55:06SPEAKER_04: I mean, what what you've done in four years takes people a lifetime.
- 55:10SPEAKER_04: A lifetime to do, right?
- 55:12SPEAKER_04: And and so you pat yourselves on the back.
- 55:15SPEAKER_04: That's that's humongous.
- 55:16SPEAKER_04: Because I mean, you know, opening a second office and doing all the things, right?
- 55:21SPEAKER_04: And it's it's people don't understand how expensive that is.
- 55:23SPEAKER_06: Oh, I know.
- 55:24SPEAKER_06: How expensive compliances.
- 55:27SPEAKER_06: How how many questions, how many, you know, hey, how do you do this?
- 55:30SPEAKER_06: And then you have to have faith and who you partner up with.
- 55:32SPEAKER_06: Like, I gotta make sure they're doing the right thing.
- 55:34SPEAKER_06: They they're also living the culture and and the atmosphere, and so it's just everybody is uniformed.
- 55:40SPEAKER_04: Yeah, which is nice.
- 55:41SPEAKER_04: The other day in the office we were having a conversation and I blew somebody's mind because Elias came and asked me.
- 55:46SPEAKER_04: He said he he knew the answer already.
- 55:49SPEAKER_04: And he's like, Jimmy, how much does it take for a credit poll?
- 55:52SPEAKER_04: How much does it cost for a credit poll?
- 55:53SPEAKER_04: And I said, probably five, six hundred bucks.
- 55:56SPEAKER_04: You know, and the guy's like, What?
- 55:59SPEAKER_04: I go, you I go, mortgage companies spend forty, fifty, sixty thousand dollars a month on credit polls.
- 56:06SPEAKER_04: He's like, No way.
- 56:06SPEAKER_04: I'm like, yeah, way, man.
- 56:08SPEAKER_04: I go, it's expensive.
- 56:09SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 56:10SPEAKER_06: If they don't qualify, that's just money.
- 56:12SPEAKER_04: It's just money just through out the window.
- 56:13SPEAKER_06: Yeah, yeah.
- 56:14SPEAKER_06: It's nice to have certain lenders that will actually, you know, offer to pay for your credit reports.
- 56:19SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 56:19SPEAKER_06: Which is nice.
- 56:20SPEAKER_06: That was another new thing that we learned at the living room.
- 56:22SPEAKER_06: Hey, credit reports aren't free.
- 56:24SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 56:25SPEAKER_06: All of this costs money.
- 56:27SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 56:27SPEAKER_04: Because I I bet that first time in the living room when you're pulling credit, it was like, yeah, just pull credit, it was fine.
- 56:31SPEAKER_04: And then you're like, what?
- 56:33SPEAKER_06: I'm like, what's this bill?
- 56:34SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 56:34SPEAKER_06: What's that?
- 56:34SPEAKER_04: Where'd that come from?
- 56:35SPEAKER_06: Wait, what do you mean?
- 56:36SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 56:36SPEAKER_06: This costs money too.
- 56:38SPEAKER_06: Like, wait, who spent all the money on this?
- 56:40SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 56:41SPEAKER_06: Oh no, we gotta we gotta figure this out again.
- 56:43SPEAKER_04: And depending on the volume that you're doing, it's forty, fifty thousand dollars a month.
- 56:48SPEAKER_06: Exactly.
- 56:48SPEAKER_06: You know what I mean?
- 56:49SPEAKER_06: And the same thing with like the the technology, the CRM, yeah, the leads.
- 56:53SPEAKER_06: Oh, how many leads did you burn through?
- 56:55SPEAKER_06: And how many loans did you come on with that?
- 56:57SPEAKER_06: Yeah, I'm like, oh my god.
- 56:58SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 56:59SPEAKER_04: Well, that's one of the things too.
- 57:00SPEAKER_04: I I you don't have a typically you don't have a lead problem, you got a conversion problem.
- 57:04SPEAKER_06: Yes.
- 57:05SPEAKER_06: It's a conversion problem.
- 57:06SPEAKER_06: And then we got to retrain and regrow, which is fine.
- 57:09SPEAKER_04: And change with the market.
- 57:10SPEAKER_06: Exactly.
- 57:11SPEAKER_04: You know what I mean?
- 57:11SPEAKER_04: Like that's the biggest thing is like changing with the market, right?
- 57:14SPEAKER_04: We're seeing a squeeze right now in this 200 to 400 range in Michigan.
- 57:17SPEAKER_05: Right.
- 57:17SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 57:17SPEAKER_04: In this 200 to 400 range in Michigan, there's a tight squeeze in there because one, we don't have a lot of houses to sell in there.
- 57:24SPEAKER_04: The other thing is the people that are living in that have a 3% interest rate.
- 57:28SPEAKER_06: So they're not moving, they're not going anywhere.
- 57:30SPEAKER_06: No, and they don't want to take cash out.
- 57:31SPEAKER_06: No, they don't want to lose their 3%.
- 57:33SPEAKER_06: Right.
- 57:33SPEAKER_06: But it's not about the rate.
- 57:34SPEAKER_04: Thank you.
- 57:35SPEAKER_06: It's not a rate doesn't mean anything.
- 57:38SPEAKER_06: It's about what your goal is.
- 57:39SPEAKER_04: Yes.
- 57:40SPEAKER_06: If your interest rate's 3%, but you're paying, you know, 20% in credit cards, are you really winning?
- 57:45SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 57:45SPEAKER_06: Are you the winner now?
- 57:46SPEAKER_06: You you oh my god, you you you got me.
- 57:49SPEAKER_04: We can consolidate all that for about six.
- 57:52SPEAKER_06: Yeah, why not?
- 57:53SPEAKER_06: Or five nine nine.
- 57:55SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 57:56SPEAKER_06: But why, why, why, why pay that in that interest when you can use what are you doing with your equity?
- 58:03SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 58:03SPEAKER_06: What are you hoarding it for?
- 58:05SPEAKER_06: It's not real.
- 58:06SPEAKER_06: You have it one day, it could be gone tomorrow.
- 58:08SPEAKER_06: Like, what are you gonna do?
- 58:10SPEAKER_04: I live through that.
- 58:10SPEAKER_06: I know, right?
- 58:11SPEAKER_06: Right?
- 58:11SPEAKER_04: Like, I lived through that of there was nothing.
- 58:14SPEAKER_06: There was equity one day.
- 58:15SPEAKER_04: I've been in the same house for 26 years.
- 58:17SPEAKER_06: Really?
- 58:17SPEAKER_04: So it it's you know, I mean, like your home value.
- 58:20SPEAKER_04: Uh, it's good, it's growing, it's growing.
- 58:22SPEAKER_04: Bam, it's dead.
- 58:23SPEAKER_04: It's gone.
- 58:24SPEAKER_04: Like the house behind me foreclosed, the one across the street foreclosed.
- 58:27SPEAKER_04: Like, oh, I was like, Well, what is happening right now?
- 58:29SPEAKER_05: Like, they didn't get me.
- 58:30SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I'm a winner so far.
- 58:32SPEAKER_04: And then, but you know, at that time, it people just left.
- 58:35SPEAKER_04: They just walked out of their house.
- 58:36SPEAKER_06: And they didn't think anything of it.
- 58:38SPEAKER_04: Nope.
- 58:38SPEAKER_04: It wasn't like they usually took a lot of stuff with them, too.
- 58:40SPEAKER_04: Oh, yeah.
- 58:41SPEAKER_04: Including plumbing and like they would take everything.
- 58:43SPEAKER_04: Cabinets off the wall.
- 58:45SPEAKER_04: Yeah, it was it was a crazy time.
- 58:47SPEAKER_04: So we got about a minute and a half left.
- 58:49SPEAKER_04: Where can everybody see?
- 58:50SPEAKER_04: Where can everybody find you?
- 58:52SPEAKER_06: You can find me at Olympian Mortgage.
