- 0:01Speaker 1: Now sevenor presents.
- 0:04Speaker 2: No Mark Simon Shaw.
- 0:07Speaker 3: Well, Don Lemon arrested, We'll get to that. There's a
- 0:10Speaker 3: new FED chairman, We'll get to that. Minnesota, the latest
- 0:13Speaker 3: Alex Preddie, there's a shutdown battle going on right now,
- 0:18Speaker 3: the new Millennium movie, and lots to talk about Luigi Mangione.
- 0:23Speaker 3: All right, the good news is the big storm on
- 0:26Speaker 3: Sunday looks like it's gonna miss us, that big bomb
- 0:30Speaker 3: cyclone storm that was heading right for us. In some
- 0:33Speaker 3: of the weather models, it looks like as it stands
- 0:35Speaker 3: now and we're we're within the three days, which is
- 0:39Speaker 3: usually when the weather's very accurate, looks like it will
- 0:42Speaker 3: miss us. If you're in the end of Long Island,
- 0:45Speaker 3: the Hampton's Montuck, it's gonna hit you. You could get
- 0:48Speaker 3: three inches of snow and ferocious winds. And if you're
- 0:52Speaker 3: way up the Connecticut shore line you might get it.
- 0:54Speaker 3: But Manhattan, Westchester, New Jersey, Connecticut, NASA, most of I
- 1:00Speaker 3: think you're safe from any series. There should be no
- 1:03Speaker 3: accumulation on Sunday. That's the current forecast. So, hey, Don
- 1:09Speaker 3: Lemon has been arrested. Now I'm looking at It's always
- 1:14Speaker 3: good to go to Mediaite. Mediaite is a left wing,
- 1:19Speaker 3: very biased, very slanted, left wing websites. Very good website,
- 1:22Speaker 3: but very very slanted. And let me look at all
- 1:25Speaker 3: the different headlines. It's got political world rocked by stunning
- 1:30Speaker 3: arrest of Don Lemon, terrifying. CNN's Brian Selter says, Morning
- 1:39Speaker 3: Joe warns Don Lemon's arrest is what happens in authoritarian countries.
- 1:44Speaker 3: Now let's put out just make clear the actual decision
- 1:50Speaker 3: to indict Don Lemon was not made by Donald Trump.
- 1:53Speaker 3: It was not maade by the Attorney general. It was
- 1:55Speaker 3: not made by the Deputy Attorney General. It was not
- 1:58Speaker 3: made by anybody in the Jet department. They decided they
- 2:01Speaker 3: would present it to a grand jury, and the grand
- 2:05Speaker 3: jurors voted to indict Don Lemon. Not the Trump people.
- 2:10Speaker 3: A grand jury looking at the evidence voted to indict
- 2:13Speaker 3: Don Lemon. He's charged with civil rights violations. And there's
- 2:19Speaker 3: laws on the books that you could argue, well, wait
- 2:23Speaker 3: a minute, the church, the doors are open. Anybody can
- 2:25Speaker 3: walk into that church. Yeah, that's true, but there's laws
- 2:29Speaker 3: on the books. The law is very specific. If you
- 2:32Speaker 3: go into the church, you can't do anything to interrupt
- 2:34Speaker 3: the service. You can't do anything to interrupt the service
- 2:38Speaker 3: or anybody in there. You can't do anything to intimidate
- 2:41Speaker 3: them in any way. And Don Lemon was part of
- 2:44Speaker 3: this mob that went in there trying to intimidate the
- 2:46Speaker 3: hell out of everybody in there, the worshippers, and to
- 2:51Speaker 3: stop the service. Can't. It's a total violation of the law.
- 2:55Speaker 3: There's a couple of laws there that he's going to
- 2:57Speaker 3: be charged with, and one of them, well one of
- 3:02Speaker 3: them is a civil rights violation, and one of them
- 3:05Speaker 3: is what they used to call the klu Klux Klan Act,
- 3:09Speaker 3: because that's what the clan did way back when they
- 3:11Speaker 3: would go into black churches as a mob and yell
- 3:14Speaker 3: and scream and menace everybody and stop the service. Well
- 3:17Speaker 3: that's what happened here in Minneapolis. So when the Klan
- 3:21Speaker 3: did that all the time, that's when they passed this
- 3:24Speaker 3: other law to make that totally illegal. So Don Lemon
- 3:27Speaker 3: will face a couple of charges. He was arrested yesterday
- 3:32Speaker 3: in Los Angeles. He was there to cover the Grammys
- 3:36Speaker 3: and that's when they arrested him. Now I know Don
- 3:40Speaker 3: Lemon when he says cover the Grammys, that means go
- 3:44Speaker 3: to the parties. He was at all the parties. Actually,
- 3:46Speaker 3: Don Lemon is very close to Clive Davis, very very
- 3:49Speaker 3: close friend to Clive Davis's and Clive Davis is like
- 3:52Speaker 3: the King of the Grammys. His Grammy party is the
- 3:55Speaker 3: most important event of the whole week. So that's where
- 3:57Speaker 3: Don Lemon was, and they arrested him. I heard he
- 4:02Speaker 3: spent a couple of hours in jail on Los Angeles.
- 4:05Speaker 3: He's hired Abby Lowell, who's the big number one top
- 4:10Speaker 3: Washington d C. Any kind of problem with the government,
- 4:13Speaker 3: that's the guy you hire. That's who Hunter Biden hired,
- 4:17Speaker 3: Abby Lowell. It's a guy Abby Lowell representing him. So
- 4:22Speaker 3: we'll see what happens next. Now Lemon is in his
- 4:25Speaker 3: statements already is claiming that he was acting as a journalist.
- 4:30Speaker 3: Now the problem is, that's a hard case to make
- 4:32Speaker 3: in court acting as a journalist. He's not actually employed
- 4:38Speaker 3: anywhere as a journalist. He has no job as a journalist.
- 4:43Speaker 3: He has been I guess what he did in the past.
- 4:45Speaker 3: He's more of an anchor talk show host. But I
- 4:48Speaker 3: guess you could call him a journalist in the past.
- 4:50Speaker 3: But he's not a journalist. He's an unemployed guy for
- 4:56Speaker 3: a couple of years. He has a Twitter thing, a
- 4:59Speaker 3: twitter feed. I think he has a sub stack. He
- 5:01Speaker 3: maybe does a podcast, but I don't know that that.
- 5:04Speaker 3: I don't know that qualifies you legally as a journalist.
- 5:06Speaker 3: So we'll see what happens. Also going into court today,
- 5:11Speaker 3: Luigi Mangione Friday today. It was an attempted break out
- 5:17Speaker 3: of prison yesterday, probably the worst one ever attempted. A
- 5:22Speaker 3: guy showed up at the correctional center here in Manhattan
- 5:28Speaker 3: claiming that he was an FBI agent and he was
- 5:30Speaker 3: there to pick up Luigi Mangion and transfer him. They
- 5:34Speaker 3: asked to see some identification. The guy took out his
- 5:38Speaker 3: driver's license, and I think they explained him now, we
- 5:42Speaker 3: meant FBI credentials, not a driver's license. And then they
- 5:46Speaker 3: frisked him and found a wasn't a knife. It was
- 5:49Speaker 3: a pizza cutter, you know that round, the little round
- 5:53Speaker 3: thing you cut the He had a pizza cutter on him.
- 5:58Speaker 3: Apparently he did work at a pizza place. I guess
- 6:01Speaker 3: he stole the cutter. I don't know what he was
- 6:02Speaker 3: planning to do with that, but he's in jail now. Too,
- 6:06Speaker 3: So the breakout attempt didn't go well. Manjeone's going to
- 6:09Speaker 3: argue all kinds of things in court today. He's got
- 6:11Speaker 3: a whole bunch of lawyers. They'll argue that the arrest
- 6:14Speaker 3: was illegal, unlawful. And then when they arrested him in Pennsylvania,
- 6:18Speaker 3: the McDonald's, some of the evidence they took, they took illegal.
- 6:21Speaker 3: I don't know how he's gonna argue this even if
- 6:23Speaker 3: you've got evidence tossed out. The surveillance cameras on the
- 6:27Speaker 3: street here in Manhattan. One thing about Manhattan. Not know
- 6:29Speaker 3: other places don't have this, but in Manhattan every inch
- 6:33Speaker 3: of the street has got a surveillance camera on it,
- 6:35Speaker 3: so you can see the video of Mangione shooting the guy.
- 6:38Speaker 3: So all this other stuff, I don't think it'll come
- 6:40Speaker 3: into play now. Tom Holman is still in Minnesota trying
- 6:46Speaker 3: to calm things down, doing a pretty good job of it.
- 6:50Speaker 3: But you got these crazy nut job agitators, Alex pretty
- 6:57Speaker 3: who as soon as it happened, you saw all these
- 6:59Speaker 3: people all of the airwaves, making these speeches about what
- 7:03Speaker 3: a gentle soul he was, what a wonderful, tender human
- 7:06Speaker 3: being he was. Now that turned out to be a
- 7:08Speaker 3: ridiculous thing to claim, because we saw the videos of
- 7:11Speaker 3: him two weeks ago, totally out of control, raging like
- 7:15Speaker 3: an absolute lunatic in the street, yelling and screaming, and
- 7:20Speaker 3: the ICE agents were making an arrest. He got right
- 7:23Speaker 3: in their face. And then I can't play the audio
- 7:26Speaker 3: for you because everything's the F word, F you, you
- 7:29Speaker 3: mother efforts, and he's screaming right, he's spitting on them,
- 7:33Speaker 3: screaming and assault me. Go ahead, assault me, you mother effort,
- 7:37Speaker 3: just out of control in a rage. And then they
- 7:41Speaker 3: get in their car. They were pretty good at just
- 7:44Speaker 3: tolerating it. The Ice agents didn't do anything. They got
- 7:47Speaker 3: in their car, they're going to driveway. He starts violently
- 7:50Speaker 3: kicking the car really hard, and one point kicked it
- 7:53Speaker 3: so hard he not only smashed the tail light, he
- 7:55Speaker 3: took the entire tail light section out of the car,
- 7:58Speaker 3: leaving a hole in the back of the car. So
- 8:01Speaker 3: then the agent stopped, tackled him to the ground, and
- 8:04Speaker 3: I don't know why. I guess they were just being
- 8:06Speaker 3: very tolerant, trying to de escalate it. I don't know why,
- 8:09Speaker 3: but the agents let him go. They should have arrested
- 8:11Speaker 3: him right then and there. He committed a number of
- 8:14Speaker 3: crimes right there. He's a criminal. They should have arrested him,
- 8:18Speaker 3: And had he been arrested put in jail, maybe he'd
- 8:20Speaker 3: still be alive today, Maybe wouldn't have been around to
- 8:23Speaker 3: try it again. So he's just I mean, what kind
- 8:28Speaker 3: of lunatic. I mean, you got to be a raging
- 8:31Speaker 3: lunatic to do that. If you were on the street
- 8:33Speaker 3: and you saw a bunch of police cars surrounding somebody
- 8:37Speaker 3: and it looked like they would arrest that guy, would
- 8:40Speaker 3: you have the nerve to go interfere with that? I mean,
- 8:44Speaker 3: it takes a lot of guts. Let's say you wanted
- 8:46Speaker 3: to go Maybe maybe if you had a lot of nerve,
- 8:49Speaker 3: you'd go start yelling at them. Hey, what the hell
- 8:50Speaker 3: you didn't start yelling and taunting them and yelling at
- 8:54Speaker 3: that takes a hell of a lot of nerve. But
- 8:57Speaker 3: how much nerve does it take to get right in
- 8:59Speaker 3: their spit on the cops, pushed them, call them every
- 9:03Speaker 3: name in the world, and then start damaging their vehicle,
- 9:06Speaker 3: kicking the tail light out of their vehicle. That takes
- 9:08Speaker 3: a hell of a lot of nerve. If you know
- 9:10Speaker 3: what that's not even nerve. You got to be on something.
- 9:12Speaker 3: He must have been on some kind of drugs to
- 9:14Speaker 3: be that out of control, to be that deranged, just
- 9:18Speaker 3: absolutely insane. This guy. So hey. The other big news,
- 9:22Speaker 3: Kevin Warsh is the new FED chairman. Donald Trump had
- 9:26Speaker 3: it down to a bunch of choices. It was either
- 9:28Speaker 3: going to be Treasury Secretary Scott Bessont, but Bessant didn't
- 9:34Speaker 3: want to move over there. Bessett wanted to stay in
- 9:35Speaker 3: the White House. And I think that's a good idea.
- 9:37Speaker 3: I think Bessant is the most valuable of all these guys.
- 9:40Speaker 3: Keep him in the White House. Keep this Treasure secretary
- 9:43Speaker 3: to me, much more important job than FED chairman. Then
- 9:46Speaker 3: there was Kevin Hasset, who's another great, great guy, brilliant guy,
- 9:49Speaker 3: perfect guy for FED chairman. But he's in the White House,
- 9:52Speaker 3: is Economic Council, and he's very very very very valuable there.
- 9:57Speaker 3: So they didn't want to give him up. They wanted
- 9:59Speaker 3: to keep him there. The other choice was Kevin Walsh,
- 10:03Speaker 3: Kevin Hassett, Kevin Walsh, and they always said it would
- 10:06Speaker 3: come down to the two Kevins, and so it looked
- 10:10Speaker 3: like it would be Kevin Walsh, although at the last
- 10:12Speaker 3: minute a new candidate emerged. Rick Ryder suddenly was in
- 10:16Speaker 3: the mix. Rick Ryder, who nobody liked, and they looked
- 10:20Speaker 3: at his donation history. Donated to Pete Bootage Edge, he
- 10:23Speaker 3: donated to Kamala Harrison is like another Jerome Powell. He
- 10:29Speaker 3: wasn't even really in the mix. He was being pushed
- 10:31Speaker 3: by the Wall Street guys, Black Rock, Larry Fink. They
- 10:34Speaker 3: were the ones pushing him, so it was more of
- 10:37Speaker 3: just a courtesy interview and all of that. Then there
- 10:40Speaker 3: was a last minute candidate the last two days. Judy
- 10:43Speaker 3: Shelton is a great woman. I'd be perfect for that,
- 10:47Speaker 3: although it ended up being Kevin Warsh. He'll be the
- 10:50Speaker 3: new FED chairman. Wall Street not that thrilled about it.
- 10:53Speaker 3: The reaction so far as the market is down over it.
- 10:56Speaker 3: Some people think he's too hawkish. When you're a FED chairman,
- 11:00Speaker 3: hawkish means you're you know, you're trying to increase rates,
- 11:03Speaker 3: you're trying to be too aggressive. But yeah, they spent
- 11:08Speaker 3: a lot of time, a lot of time talking to him.
- 11:11Speaker 3: Scott Bessont pushed him. This was Scott Bessont's final choice
- 11:14Speaker 3: and he pushed it. Which means he'll be responsible for
- 11:18Speaker 3: this if it goes bad and warsh. He's a nice guy,
- 11:22Speaker 3: and he's a very very plugged in, well connected guy.
- 11:25Speaker 3: Everybody in his family father close to the president, his
- 11:28Speaker 3: father in law close to the president, and his grandfather
- 11:31Speaker 3: in law very close to the president. So and he
- 11:34Speaker 3: was working like crazy to get the job, not just
- 11:37Speaker 3: campaigning hard, but everybody says behind the scenes, trying to
- 11:42Speaker 3: sabotage the other candidates, bad bouthing him to everybody. So
- 11:45Speaker 3: he's the new FED chairman. It should be announced later today.
- 11:49Speaker 3: Expect the President to make the announcement later. The Milania
- 11:53Speaker 3: movie had its big premiere last night in Washington, d C.
- 11:57Speaker 3: Fifteen hundred people Kennedy Center. Get it. Monica Crowley will
- 12:01Speaker 3: be with us later. Imagine she was there. She'll tell
- 12:03Speaker 3: us about it. Hey, President Trump somehow has gotten Putin
- 12:09Speaker 3: to agree to a cease fire in the Ukraine for
- 12:13Speaker 3: one week, just a one week ceasefire. He called him
- 12:16Speaker 3: and somehow got this done.
- 12:17Speaker 4: It really they said they've never experienced cold like that.
- 12:21Speaker 4: And I personally asked President Putin not the fire into
- 12:26Speaker 4: Kiev in the various towns for a week and he
- 12:29Speaker 4: agreed to do that, and I have to tell you
- 12:31Speaker 4: it was very nice. A lot of people said, don't
- 12:33Speaker 4: waste the cold, and you're not going to get that,
- 12:34Speaker 4: and he did it, and we're very happy that they
- 12:36Speaker 4: did it.
- 12:37Speaker 3: All right, it's not much, but it's something. You know,
- 12:40Speaker 3: hundreds of people get killed a week there, so they'll
- 12:42Speaker 3: save a few hundred lives. Hey, they had a cabinet
- 12:46Speaker 3: meeting yesterday and President Trump it was different this time.
- 12:51Speaker 3: You know, the last two times they had a cabinet meeting,
- 12:53Speaker 3: the cameras are allowed in and the press is allowed
- 12:55Speaker 3: in there, and then he lets every one of the
- 12:58Speaker 3: cabinet members speak. But he didn't do that this time.
- 13:02Speaker 3: He didn't let them speak. And he actually said, we're
- 13:04Speaker 3: not going to go through all that again because the
- 13:06Speaker 3: last time we did it it lasted three hours and
- 13:08Speaker 3: I closed my eyes a few times and they started
- 13:11Speaker 3: making fun of me, thinking I was asleep, and he said, look,
- 13:13Speaker 3: it got pretty boring. The room started to laugh. He said,
- 13:18Speaker 3: I just closed them because I wanted to get the
- 13:21Speaker 3: hell out of there. He says, I didn't sleep, I
- 13:25Speaker 3: was just getting bored, which I believe that's what I
- 13:30Speaker 3: don't know why he wants this job. You know, this
- 13:32Speaker 3: guy used to the most fun. He was in New York.
- 13:36Speaker 3: It's a glamorous, fun existence. It was parties and celebrities,
- 13:39Speaker 3: and he'd be going to his office every movie stars
- 13:42Speaker 3: coming in, comedian. It'd be nothing but fun. Now he's
- 13:44Speaker 3: sitting in Washington, the president of Lithuania. Who wants to
- 13:48Speaker 3: talk to that guy? Cabinet meeting with all these secretaries
- 13:51Speaker 3: of this and that. Pretty boring stuff, but it's what
- 13:56Speaker 3: he wants to do now. In the cabinet meeting, he
- 13:59Speaker 3: did not call on Christy Nome, and they didn't take
- 14:02Speaker 3: questions from the press, and all the talking they did
- 14:05Speaker 3: not bring up Minnesota in any way. They talked mostly
- 14:08Speaker 3: about the economy and a good idea, you know, Minnesota
- 14:13Speaker 3: is The two shootings were horrible. In the case of Pretty,
- 14:19Speaker 3: I still don't see why the shots were fired. In
- 14:21Speaker 3: the case of Renee Good, you can see why the
- 14:23Speaker 3: shots were fired. She did hit the guy with his
- 14:26Speaker 3: car with her car, and the first shot went right
- 14:29Speaker 3: through the front windshield, which means he was in front
- 14:31Speaker 3: of the car as it came at him and it
- 14:33Speaker 3: did hit him. You can see that in other Viti is,
- 14:35Speaker 3: but the pretty one. You can't see that. I mean,
- 14:37Speaker 3: they should have just arrested the guy. He would have
- 14:39Speaker 3: been in jail for a very long time for that
- 14:43Speaker 3: incident and for the one two weeks ago the damaged
- 14:46Speaker 3: the police car. Gallain Maxwell claims now that twenty five
- 14:52Speaker 3: of the Jeffrey Epstein accomplices, victims whatever you want to
- 14:55Speaker 3: call him, had made secret settlements with the the billionaire
- 15:01Speaker 3: of people that were there. So what that would mean
- 15:03Speaker 3: was that's why they were never in the mix, never
- 15:07Speaker 3: came forward, never testified. So it's an interesting point that
- 15:10Speaker 3: there'd be a lot of victims out there that never
- 15:13Speaker 3: came forward, never came close to talking to anybody in
- 15:16Speaker 3: law enforcement. They are going through the Epstein files. What's
- 15:19Speaker 3: taken so long, Well, you got to go through and
- 15:23Speaker 3: read every page to make sure that there's no victim names,
- 15:27Speaker 3: You got to redact all that. You got to read
- 15:29Speaker 3: five point two million pages. You know how long that
- 15:33Speaker 3: would take. Justice Department says they've assigned now four hundred
- 15:38Speaker 3: lawyers to this and they're working around the clock trying
- 15:41Speaker 3: to review all five point two million pages. Now, when
- 15:45Speaker 3: you get these pages, you're going to be very disappointed.
- 15:49Speaker 3: I mean, I've talked to a lot of people saw
- 15:50Speaker 3: most of this is coming from the Justice Department, the
- 15:54Speaker 3: US Attorney's Office Southern District. They're the ones that ran
- 15:56Speaker 3: the investigation. And if you talk to guys it to
- 16:00Speaker 3: put all this together, they'll say, what's in these files.
- 16:03Speaker 3: It's basically just interviewed transcripts of interviews with witnesses. Some
- 16:08Speaker 3: of it true, some of it turned out not to
- 16:10Speaker 3: be true. You know, you get good witnesses, bad witnesses.
- 16:12Speaker 3: But that's what's in there. Hey, don't forget it was
- 16:14Speaker 3: President Trump and his Justice Department that arrested Epstein. It
- 16:18Speaker 3: took place in twenty nineteen. It was during the Trump administration.
- 16:23Speaker 3: Epstein got arrested and prosecuted. Hey, we'll take some calls
- 16:27Speaker 3: in a minute. Eight hundred three two one zero seven
- 16:31Speaker 3: ten is the number. Eight hundred three two one zero
- 16:35Speaker 3: seven ten.
- 16:37Speaker 1: Did Mark on Demand by setting a preset for his
- 16:40Speaker 1: podcast on the iHeartRadio app.
- 16:43Speaker 2: Now back to Mark Simone on woor.
- 16:47Speaker 3: Hey, we got we got some open lines. I've never
- 16:50Speaker 3: seen that before. Call us eight hundred three two one
- 16:54Speaker 3: zero seven ten. Eight hundred three to two one zero
- 16:58Speaker 3: seven ten let's go to my in Florida. Mike. How
- 17:01Speaker 3: you doing, Good.
- 17:02Speaker 5: Morning, Mark.
- 17:04Speaker 6: I was last night.
- 17:05Speaker 7: I was watching a video on YouTube with your old
- 17:08Speaker 7: partner Steve Allen and Johnny Mercer doing a medley of
- 17:12Speaker 7: Alan would sing a song and you'd say, well, Johnny,
- 17:15Speaker 7: did you ever write a song similar to that?
- 17:17Speaker 5: It was very clever.
- 17:18Speaker 3: Oh yeah, that's great. Yeah, go on to YouTube. Great
- 17:21Speaker 3: type Steve Allen, Johnny Mercer. There's some amazing stuff, all
- 17:24Speaker 3: those old variety shows, all those great everything you've ever
- 17:28Speaker 3: seen on TV and you want to see again, it's
- 17:30Speaker 3: on YouTube. In fact, it's it's fabulous. There's some nights
- 17:33Speaker 3: I don't watch anything except YouTube all night, and it's addictive.
- 17:36Speaker 7: That's what I was doing last night, and I stumbled
- 17:38Speaker 7: on this and it got me to thinking about the
- 17:40Speaker 7: old am FM format. First of all, I wanted to
- 17:42Speaker 7: ask you if you ever work in the old FM format,
- 17:45Speaker 7: like your friend Jonathan Schwartz, who would do sets sort
- 17:48Speaker 7: of like that. You know, he played like Yo, you know,
- 17:51Speaker 7: Black Sabbath and Frank Sinatra in the same set, you know,
- 17:54Speaker 7: back in the back in the Yeah, I was.
- 17:57Speaker 3: On when I first came to New York, I was
- 17:59Speaker 3: on w p I XFM, which was a very hot,
- 18:02Speaker 3: cutting edge FM station back then, and we played all
- 18:05Speaker 3: these new artists nobody heard before, like the Police and
- 18:09Speaker 3: that kind of stuff.
- 18:12Speaker 7: All that.
- 18:14Speaker 3: Yeah, all right, Mike, good call, Thanks for colling. Let's
- 18:17Speaker 3: go to uh Marco in the Bronx Marco? How you doing?
- 18:22Speaker 8: Hey, Mark? How you doing, mister New York I'll call
- 18:25Speaker 8: you Okay, Listen, these paid agitators, yes, just cut exposed.
- 18:31Speaker 8: How come it's not really nobody's realizing Maybe they get
- 18:35Speaker 8: a big five thousand dollars bonus if they're up in
- 18:38Speaker 8: the face of these these poor ice people. How could
- 18:42Speaker 8: nobody see that there's so many of them?
- 18:45Speaker 3: People see that it's under investigation. Hey, we revealed the name.
- 18:49Speaker 3: I was it Monday or Tuesday of the guy that's
- 18:52Speaker 3: the big funder of this, Neville Roy Singham. And I
- 18:55Speaker 3: noticed he's getting a lot of coverage today. It's starting
- 18:57Speaker 3: to come out about this guy and he is under
- 19:00Speaker 3: investigation now. He's like a worse than George Soros kind
- 19:04Speaker 3: of guy because he's partners with the Chinese Communist government.
- 19:07Speaker 3: The only problem is he lives in Singapore, so it's
- 19:09Speaker 3: very hard to touch this guy. But what part of
- 19:12Speaker 3: the Bronx are you in frog's neck? I'm a very
- 19:17Speaker 3: nice part of the Bronx. Excellent. You got that beautiful
- 19:20Speaker 3: former Trump golf course there, right, but now it's something.
- 19:23Speaker 5: Oh what a shame they took that away?
- 19:25Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, all right, thanks for calling. Let's go
- 19:28Speaker 3: to uh Claire in New Jersey. Claire, how you doing?
- 19:33Speaker 9: Oh?
- 19:34Speaker 6: Hi, Mark.
- 19:35Speaker 9: I'd like to say, by the way, I'm a former
- 19:37Speaker 9: nurse for a long time and one of the nurses.
- 19:40Speaker 9: The head of the protest stations there is saying they
- 19:44Speaker 9: don't want ice now in the hospitals. They're protesting in
- 19:49Speaker 9: allegiance to the r N that got shot in Minneapolis.
- 19:53Speaker 9: But I'd like to make a comment as a former nurse,
- 19:57Speaker 9: why wasn't there any protests Lake and Riley, who was
- 20:01Speaker 9: a nursing student raped and murdered. Nothing was said.
- 20:04Speaker 3: Well, that's the double standard Democrats are famous for. You know,
- 20:08Speaker 3: remember if pretty had been killed by an illegal alien,
- 20:11Speaker 3: you never would have heard it on the news. It
- 20:13Speaker 3: would have gotten there would have been no coverage of it.
- 20:16Speaker 3: But you're a nurse, did you did you ever smash
- 20:18Speaker 3: a police car? Kick out the taillight.
- 20:21Speaker 9: You know what, there was such respect, not only that
- 20:24Speaker 9: I have family in Minneapolis. It was a beautiful city
- 20:29Speaker 9: at one time. Beautiful. They've been there for the last
- 20:31Speaker 9: forty years. It's a disgrace now.
- 20:34Speaker 3: By a good point. You remember Minneapolis was Mary Tyler Moore,
- 20:38Speaker 3: Roda Phyllis. Now look what happened to it? And they
- 20:42Speaker 3: what is wrong with these people in Minnesota? Look who
- 20:45Speaker 3: they elect to office? Al Franken, Tim Waltz, people like that.
- 20:50Speaker 3: Let's go to Chris in Manhattan. Chris, how you doing?
- 20:53Speaker 6: Boy?
- 20:54Speaker 5: More come good things?
- 20:55Speaker 4: Listen, speaking of Minnesota, if we know that Ilhan Omar
- 20:59Speaker 4: really married.
- 21:00Speaker 5: Her brother, just that alone? Yes?
- 21:02Speaker 6: Is that not immigration fraud?
- 21:04Speaker 3: That's why that's why they're investigating her immigration status.
- 21:07Speaker 5: And but we all kind of know about it already.
- 21:09Speaker 3: You know you didn't hear me.
- 21:10Speaker 5: I said.
- 21:12Speaker 3: It's currently under investigation as we speak. You never know,
- 21:15Speaker 3: they may end up deporting her. Let's go to Jim
- 21:18Speaker 3: and Nutley. Jim, how you doing.
- 21:20Speaker 10: I'm so sick and tired about these Epstein file uh
- 21:26Speaker 10: people coming out. What's the big deal about this? I mean,
- 21:30Speaker 10: as far as as far as all these victims, those
- 21:33Speaker 10: girls knew just what they were getting into.
- 21:35Speaker 3: To me, well, a lot of them were underage and
- 21:38Speaker 3: some of them were not. A lot there were women
- 21:40Speaker 3: of all ages with Epstein, but some of them were
- 21:42Speaker 3: underage and they didn't always know what they were getting into.
- 21:45Speaker 10: I heard that some of those girls were recruiting. Other
- 21:47Speaker 10: girls were listen.
- 21:50Speaker 3: There were all types of women. They're good ones, bad ones,
- 21:52Speaker 3: evil ones, nice ones. They didn't all choose that some
- 21:56Speaker 3: of them. But the original point of the Epstein files
- 21:59Speaker 3: were to get Donald Trump, and fortunately it turned out
- 22:04Speaker 3: Donald Trump was the one guy that knew to stay
- 22:06Speaker 3: away from Epstein and got away from him. So it's
- 22:08Speaker 3: not gonna in any way damage Trump. It's going to
- 22:10Speaker 3: really kill the Clintons. It's no coincidence that they're refusing
- 22:15Speaker 3: to testify before Congress, refusing and defying a subpoena that
- 22:21Speaker 3: peer before Congress to talk about Epstein. So they really
- 22:25Speaker 3: really do not want to talk about this guy. So hey,
- 22:28Speaker 3: when we come back, Monica Crowley will be with us.
- 22:31Speaker 3: She is the Chief of Protocol for the United States
- 22:34Speaker 3: Special Ambassador. We got lots to talk to her about.
- 22:37Speaker 3: She's right there in the middle of everything in DC.
- 22:40Speaker 3: We'll talk to her next on seven to ten WR
- 22:43Speaker 3: Let's get back.
- 22:44Speaker 2: To the Mark Simone Show on worr.
- 22:48Speaker 3: Well, Monica Crowley is the I mean an amazing, amazing person,
- 22:53Speaker 3: Chief of Protocol of the United States of America, ambassador
- 22:57Speaker 3: and our old friend, and it's good to have her
- 23:00Speaker 3: this Monica Crowley, how are you hi?
- 23:03Speaker 5: Mark?
- 23:03Speaker 11: It's always great to be with you. How are you good?
- 23:06Speaker 3: I mean, but we knew you when you were you
- 23:08Speaker 3: were just Monica Crowley, then, don't you well.
- 23:12Speaker 11: I'm still I'm still Monica Crowley.
- 23:14Speaker 3: Don't you miss the good old days just doing radio
- 23:17Speaker 3: and TV and having fun And.
- 23:21Speaker 11: Well, No, first of all, I'm incredibly blessed to serve
- 23:28Speaker 11: this president and the American people in the country. I
- 23:31Speaker 11: love as cheaper Protocol of the United States. It's such
- 23:35Speaker 11: a blessing, Mark, it truly is. And I am as
- 23:39Speaker 11: witnessed by my being on your show this morning. I
- 23:42Speaker 11: am still doing radio and television. I'm just speaking on
- 23:46Speaker 11: behalf of the President and his agenda now rather than
- 23:49Speaker 11: speaking on my own behalf.
- 23:51Speaker 2: So I'm still doing it.
- 23:52Speaker 11: We've got huge events coming up, including America's two hundred
- 23:56Speaker 11: and fiftieth birthday on July fourth, and I'm huge part
- 24:00Speaker 11: of that as well as the FIFA World Cup and
- 24:03Speaker 11: that final will be played at MetLife Stadium in New
- 24:07Speaker 11: Jersey on July nineteenth, and I'm a big part of
- 24:10Speaker 11: that too. So we've got a lot of exciting things
- 24:13Speaker 11: coming up in the country.
- 24:14Speaker 3: Yeah, Now this is a big deal. It's the two
- 24:16Speaker 3: hundred and fiftieth Birthday of America. Events all this year
- 24:20Speaker 3: and now this will continue through the summer fourth of July,
- 24:24Speaker 3: or will continue the rest of the year.
- 24:27Speaker 11: Well, it is going to continue the rest of the
- 24:29Speaker 11: year mark Obviously, We've got a lot of big events
- 24:32Speaker 11: planned between now and July fourth, and then it's all
- 24:35Speaker 11: culminating on July fourth with a major addrest from the
- 24:39Speaker 11: President from the White House to the country and in
- 24:42Speaker 11: fact to the world. But leading up to it, we're
- 24:44Speaker 11: going to have events like the Great American State Fair,
- 24:48Speaker 11: which is going to take place on the Mall and
- 24:50Speaker 11: all fifty states will have their own pavilions, they'll all
- 24:54Speaker 11: be represented, so I encourage everybody in the spring and
- 24:57Speaker 11: early summer to come down for that. We're also going
- 25:00Speaker 11: to have a National Prayer event happening on the Mall
- 25:04Speaker 11: on May seventeenth, So please mark your calendars for that,
- 25:08Speaker 11: because it really is a cornerstone to what we're doing
- 25:12Speaker 11: in the Trump administration, and in terms of marking our
- 25:15Speaker 11: big national birthday, which is to try to bring the
- 25:19Speaker 11: country together, to unite the country in this grand, majestic
- 25:24Speaker 11: celebration of our country, but also to unite under prayer
- 25:29Speaker 11: and to unite the country under God, because after all,
- 25:32Speaker 11: we can't make America great again, we can't restore the
- 25:36Speaker 11: country unless we return to God.
- 25:39Speaker 9: So that is going to be a huge event.
- 25:40Speaker 11: And then of course we're going to have UFC to
- 25:43Speaker 11: fifty taking place on the South Lawn on the White
- 25:46Speaker 11: House June fourteenth, and that of course is Flag Day
- 25:51Speaker 11: and the President's big birthday. That is going to be
- 25:54Speaker 11: quite the event. We have so many other things planned
- 25:57Speaker 11: and for New York centric.
- 26:00Speaker 9: I know we're on in WR New York.
- 26:03Speaker 11: New York is going to host an international Naval review
- 26:07Speaker 11: of tall ships and naval battleships and so on on
- 26:11Speaker 11: July third and launching on July fourth as well, So
- 26:15Speaker 11: the Tall Ships procession, which some of us might remember
- 26:19Speaker 11: from the bi centennial in nineteen seven, right, We're going
- 26:24Speaker 11: to do it all over again this year to celebrate
- 26:26Speaker 11: two point fifty. It's going to go up the Hudson River.
- 26:29Speaker 11: We have about I think about thirty five to forty
- 26:33Speaker 11: countries who have committed a tall ship to that parade.
- 26:37Speaker 11: So again, so many things, all culminating on July fourth
- 26:41Speaker 11: mark and then after July fourth, later in the summer,
- 26:45Speaker 11: we are going to have an incredible race around with
- 26:50Speaker 11: NASCAR Formula One Grand Prix in the US Capitol, which
- 26:55Speaker 11: is going to be incredible that I think is taking
- 26:58Speaker 11: place in August. To encourage everybody, if you want to
- 27:01Speaker 11: find out what's happening in New York or in your
- 27:04Speaker 11: community or nationally, please go to Freedom two fifty dot org.
- 27:09Speaker 11: Freedom two fifty dot org and the entire calendar of
- 27:14Speaker 11: events is all laid out there and you can figure
- 27:17Speaker 11: out how you can get involved in your community, your state,
- 27:20Speaker 11: and nationwide.
- 27:22Speaker 3: That's a good idea because right now we hate twenty
- 27:24Speaker 3: twenty six groups. You freezing to death. Here, we got snow,
- 27:26Speaker 3: we can't get rid. But forget this couple of weeks.
- 27:30Speaker 3: It's going to be a great year, one of the
- 27:32Speaker 3: biggest best years of our lifetime. With all this stuff
- 27:35Speaker 3: going on.
- 27:36Speaker 11: Hey, you were Davos, right, I was, Yes, I was
- 27:40Speaker 11: with the President for.
- 27:41Speaker 3: That and a much better Davos this year without that
- 27:44Speaker 3: Klaus whatever his name, was running things much much better Davos.
- 27:48Speaker 3: I liked it this year.
- 27:50Speaker 12: Well.
- 27:50Speaker 11: The World Economic Forum, which hosts DeVos every year in Davos, Switzerland,
- 27:55Speaker 11: is under new management. Larry think of black Rock and
- 27:59Speaker 11: a few others have taken over from Klaus Schwab. And
- 28:02Speaker 11: of course the big dog on the block is always
- 28:05Speaker 11: President Trump, and it's always the United States of America,
- 28:08Speaker 11: and this time around the dynamic was completely different. The
- 28:12Speaker 11: last time I was in Davos was January of twenty twenty,
- 28:16Speaker 11: when I served in the first Trump administration. It was
- 28:19Speaker 11: after you know, it was right as COVID was starting
- 28:23Speaker 11: to rip around the world from China, so the dynamic
- 28:27Speaker 11: was completely different and globalism was still on the march.
- 28:31Speaker 11: This time around, President has put his foot down on globalism.
- 28:34Speaker 11: This was an America first presentation by him and by
- 28:38Speaker 11: the US delegation, and it was just an incredible thing
- 28:42Speaker 11: to see. I mean, Davos has really changed, and I
- 28:45Speaker 11: think for the better. I think national sovereignty for America
- 28:49Speaker 11: and other countries around the world that is now on
- 28:52Speaker 11: the menu versus destructive globalism.
- 28:56Speaker 3: Oh that's good right now, Monica Crowley, the Milennia film Big,
- 29:00Speaker 3: Big Documentary opens today in fifteen hundred theaters. You saw
- 29:04Speaker 3: the premiere of it. Tell us about the film, Yes.
- 29:07Speaker 11: Well, I was very fortunate to be invited to the
- 29:10Speaker 11: private screening at the White House last weekend of this
- 29:14Speaker 11: very small intimate group Queen Ranya of Jordan by Tyson
- 29:18Speaker 11: Tony Robbins. Very small group, and I saw den It
- 29:22Speaker 11: was absolutely incredible. It opens nationwide and globally today and
- 29:28Speaker 11: I encourage everybody to go get a ticket, be a
- 29:31Speaker 11: part of history and see this beautiful film because it
- 29:35Speaker 11: really is a behind the scenes view of the first Lady,
- 29:39Speaker 11: the President, their family in about twenty It covers about
- 29:44Speaker 11: twenty days leading up to and then immediately after the
- 29:47Speaker 11: inauguration last year, and it's just smart and it follows
- 29:52Speaker 11: her and her philanthropy, her businesses, her love of her country,
- 29:57Speaker 11: her love of her husband and her family. It showed
- 30:00Speaker 11: she's some fashion, there's some fun. It's very funny in
- 30:03Speaker 11: places as well. It's a real inside look and I
- 30:07Speaker 11: think everybody will love it, So go get your ticket today.
- 30:10Speaker 3: Yes, and a brilliant woman. You know, she speaks five
- 30:13Speaker 3: languages fluently. I can't even learn a second language. I'm
- 30:16Speaker 3: still don't work on an English five languages.
- 30:20Speaker 11: She really is underestimated. I think maybe she likes it
- 30:23Speaker 11: that way. But she is brilliant in her own right,
- 30:27Speaker 11: very very accomplished, and just a beautiful woman inside and out.
- 30:32Speaker 11: And this is really her moment, you know. Obviously President
- 30:35Speaker 11: Trump is running country extremely well. I mean I think
- 30:39Speaker 11: he's going to go down as the goat the greatest
- 30:41Speaker 11: of all time, really doing an extraordinary job as president.
- 30:46Speaker 11: And I'm really leading not just the free world, but
- 30:49Speaker 11: leading the world. This movie is her moment. This is
- 30:53Speaker 11: something special for her and she so deserves it because
- 30:56Speaker 11: she has been and continues to be an extraordinary first.
- 31:00Speaker 3: Lady Monica Crawley. One final thing, we got a new
- 31:03Speaker 3: FED chairman nominated picked Kevin Walsh. Good guy. I think
- 31:08Speaker 3: that's a good choice. Don't agree.
- 31:10Speaker 7: Yes, I do too.
- 31:11Speaker 11: And in the first Trump administration, I was very honored
- 31:13Speaker 11: to serve in the Treasury Department as Assistant secretary, so
- 31:17Speaker 11: I know a lot of these issues. I dealt with
- 31:19Speaker 11: the FED very closely, particularly during the COVID era, when
- 31:23Speaker 11: we were standing up all kinds of unprecedented programs to
- 31:27Speaker 11: save the American people in American businesses. So I know
- 31:30Speaker 11: a lot about the FED. I've dealt with them. I
- 31:32Speaker 11: think Kevin Walsh is going to be an extraordinary FED chairman.
- 31:37Speaker 11: He really is, and he's going to partner. The FED
- 31:40Speaker 11: is independent, of course, but the kinds of policies I
- 31:44Speaker 11: think you're going to see coming from the FED in
- 31:47Speaker 11: terms of maximum employment and interest rates, the money supply,
- 31:52Speaker 11: I think it is going to compliment what the President
- 31:55Speaker 11: is doing on the fiscal side. You are going to
- 31:58Speaker 11: see an economic boom under the Trump administration that we
- 32:03Speaker 11: have not seen since first Trump administration, only even better.
- 32:07Speaker 11: So get ready, buckle up, Yanks, the boom coming at us.
- 32:10Speaker 3: I got a big year coming up. It's the two
- 32:12Speaker 3: hundred and fiftieth, the birthday of America. Give us the
- 32:14Speaker 3: website again. Anybody should go to.
- 32:16Speaker 11: Yes, it's Freedom two fifty dot org again. Freedom two
- 32:21Speaker 11: fifty dot org for everything you need to know about
- 32:23Speaker 11: America's big two hundred and fiftieth birthday party.
- 32:27Speaker 3: Well, Manica Crowley, great work. If she's the Chief of
- 32:30Speaker 3: Protocol in the United States Ambassador of Monica Crowley, thanks
- 32:34Speaker 3: for being with us.
- 32:35Speaker 11: Always a pleasure.
- 32:36Speaker 3: Mark, thank you, all right, take care. Yeah, that's something
- 32:39Speaker 3: two hundred and fifty years thing. A lot of big
- 32:41Speaker 3: events this year, so you may not be thrilled with
- 32:45Speaker 3: the year so far. This January is not the best month.
- 32:48Speaker 3: It was pretty bad, but you're in store for an
- 32:50Speaker 3: incredible year. Don't forget Buck and Clay coming up at
- 32:53Speaker 3: noon today. They do a great show every day noon
- 32:55Speaker 3: to three. Then you got the most listened to radio
- 32:58Speaker 3: show in America, Sean Hannah three o'clock, Jesse Kelly every
- 33:02Speaker 3: day every night at six, and Jimmy Fayla, what a
- 33:05Speaker 3: great show he does, funny, interesting every night nine o'clock.
- 33:09Speaker 3: Here on seven to ten WR sevenrs.
- 33:14Speaker 2: Mark Simone show continues now.
- 33:20Speaker 3: All right, just checking the very latest forecast. Now the latest,
- 33:25Speaker 3: and we're pretty close to Sunday, so it's not likely
- 33:27Speaker 3: to change too much. The latest is we're not gonna
- 33:29Speaker 3: get hit with that snow storm on Sunday. It's what
- 33:33Speaker 3: they call a bomb cyclone, very heavy, ferocious winds, snow
- 33:37Speaker 3: falling very fast. Well, it looks like it's turned. It
- 33:40Speaker 3: will miss New York City. It will mostly miss Westchester, Connecticut,
- 33:46Speaker 3: Nassau County to out the end of Long Island. If
- 33:49Speaker 3: you're out in the Hampton's or somewhere out there, you
- 33:51Speaker 3: could get hit with it and get three inches or so.
- 33:53Speaker 3: But we're safe for Sunday, New York. It's not gonna
- 33:56Speaker 3: be a great day. It's gonna be cold and extremely windy,
- 34:00Speaker 3: but it looks like no snow. Now. The good news
- 34:03Speaker 3: is we'll miss we'll we'll miss this storm on Sunday.
- 34:07Speaker 3: We won't get any more snow, and then on Monday
- 34:10Speaker 3: Tuesday gets up to thirty two thirty three degrees, so
- 34:13Speaker 3: the snow will start melting. It's not going to be easy.
- 34:17Speaker 3: We've never had this happen where we got this kind
- 34:19Speaker 3: of snow and then way below freezing for a week afterwards,
- 34:22Speaker 3: so the snow couldn't melt. So that could start to
- 34:25Speaker 3: change next week. We'll get out of this mess next week. Hey,
- 34:28Speaker 3: we got another hour to go and a lot to
- 34:30Speaker 3: get to in the next hour. Mark simone here every
- 34:33Speaker 3: day ten to noon, or if you want to listen
- 34:36Speaker 3: to any other time, just get the podcast and don't
- 34:38Speaker 3: forget On the weekends, there's a bonus segment an extra
- 34:40Speaker 3: show on the podcast Back After the News on seven
- 34:43Speaker 3: to ten w.
- 34:45Speaker 2: The Mark Simone Show on seven.
- 34:52Speaker 3: Well, we've gotta lot to get to this hour, just
- 34:55Speaker 3: to bring up the speed that Don Lemon was arrested.
- 34:57Speaker 3: He is in that has been a it. Apparently he
- 35:01Speaker 3: was partying like crazy in La the Grammy Awards this
- 35:04Speaker 3: Sunday night. The parties have already begun. He was out
- 35:07Speaker 3: there all night partying. The night ended with him being
- 35:10Speaker 3: arrested by federal agents. And now remember this is not
- 35:17Speaker 3: it's not just Donald Trump deciding to arrest him. It's
- 35:19Speaker 3: not the Attorney General, it's not the Justice departments. Nothing
- 35:22Speaker 3: in the trumpetmistress. And it made the final decision. It
- 35:24Speaker 3: was the grand jury. They just simply presented it to
- 35:27Speaker 3: the grand jury, and the grand jury voted to indict
- 35:31Speaker 3: Don Lemon for there's a couple of laws he violated
- 35:35Speaker 3: in that church. Now a lot of people worried that
- 35:38Speaker 3: this will make Don Lemon into a huge martyr that
- 35:43Speaker 3: he'll be on every You know, he's a guy that
- 35:45Speaker 3: was basically fired in disgrace. He was out of work.
- 35:49Speaker 3: Nobody would touch this guy, Nobody would hire this guy.
- 35:51Speaker 3: He was doing one of these silly podcasts from his bedroom,
- 35:56Speaker 3: running around with a microphone, totally out of work. But this, well,
- 36:01Speaker 3: this is different. Now. Suddenly it'll be all over MSNBC
- 36:04Speaker 3: and CNN, and there'll be a GoFundMe that could raise
- 36:07Speaker 3: millions and millions. He's hired the top lawyer you could
- 36:10Speaker 3: hire in a matter like this, Abbey Lowell. So a
- 36:13Speaker 3: lot of people worried that this will make Don Lemon
- 36:16Speaker 3: not only a martyr, but bigger than ever, may actually
- 36:20Speaker 3: bring back his broadcasting career for him. The Justice Department
- 36:24Speaker 3: right now is releasing more Epstein files. We explained last hour,
- 36:28Speaker 3: there's five million pages that need to be read and
- 36:31Speaker 3: gone through with a fine tooth coming to make sure
- 36:34Speaker 3: there's no identifying victims or anything like that. So apparently
- 36:38Speaker 3: they've gotten a batch done over Lisa Batch later. Now,
- 36:41Speaker 3: what's going to happen Every time they release a batch,
- 36:44Speaker 3: You're going to be very disappointed because there's going to
- 36:46Speaker 3: be nothing that interesting in there. But this will continue
- 36:50Speaker 3: for a while. Hey, we're talking last hour. Monica Crowley
- 36:53Speaker 3: was with us telling us about this two hundred and
- 36:55Speaker 3: fiftieth Birthday of America. The whole year is going to
- 36:58Speaker 3: be big, big events celebrating America's two undred and fiftieth birthday.
- 37:03Speaker 3: And if she listed all the events, I realized, as
- 37:06Speaker 3: miserable as Democrats are, now, as angry, crazy, miserable as
- 37:11Speaker 3: the Democrats are, this year's going to be tough on them,
- 37:16Speaker 3: very tough on them. You know, they're not into flag
- 37:19Speaker 3: waving or you know, Fourth of July. They don't like
- 37:21Speaker 3: that kind of stuff. It's not their favorite day. So
- 37:25Speaker 3: when the whole year is America, the flag and all
- 37:29Speaker 3: the events she talked about, this is not going to
- 37:32Speaker 3: be the National Prayer Service. Democrats are not going to
- 37:38Speaker 3: be flocking to that. What's the other one? The National
- 37:42Speaker 3: State Fair that's not big with Democrats. And at the
- 37:46Speaker 3: White House in Washington, the events are NASCAR. Yeah, that's
- 37:51Speaker 3: not big with the Jimmy Kimmel, CNN, Colbert crowd. They're
- 37:56Speaker 3: not big on Nascar. The other one was UFC Fighting
- 37:59Speaker 3: Championship at the White House. And then the Fourth of
- 38:02Speaker 3: July and Democrats, I don't like this stuff. It's a
- 38:07Speaker 3: miserable day for them. Fourth of July with the flag
- 38:09Speaker 3: and the picnics and hot dogs. They don't like this.
- 38:13Speaker 3: So this is going to be a very rough year
- 38:15Speaker 3: for your Democratic friends as this stuff starts unfold, especially
- 38:19Speaker 3: in the summer. So you think they're angry and miserable.
- 38:21Speaker 3: Now just wait. So we got a new FED chairman,
- 38:28Speaker 3: Kevin Wash everybody likes the Powell is just awful. Really
- 38:32Speaker 3: need to get rid of him. He's still got till
- 38:34Speaker 3: May before his term is over. Now, when you're done
- 38:37Speaker 3: as the FED chairman, you're supposed to give up your
- 38:40Speaker 3: board seat. So his term is up in May, but
- 38:43Speaker 3: he's his board term having a seat on the board
- 38:46Speaker 3: goes to like twenty twenty eight. But if you're gracious
- 38:49Speaker 3: about it, you step down and you get the hell
- 38:51Speaker 3: out of there. Knowing Paul bad guy hates Trump, probably
- 38:55Speaker 3: will not. Here's President Trump.
- 38:57Speaker 4: You can do it with a pencil cutting. It's not
- 39:01Speaker 4: saying we have to get rid of jobs or it's
- 39:02Speaker 4: just like literally so easy to do. But we have
- 39:06Speaker 4: a guy that doesn't want to do it because he's
- 39:08Speaker 4: I think he's politically biased. I really do. I believe
- 39:11Speaker 4: he's politically biased, because most smart people say it's not
- 39:15Speaker 4: even a question.
- 39:16Speaker 3: Yeah, well we know he's politically He not only politically biased,
- 39:19Speaker 3: but he hates, hates, hates Trump, so he'll stay there,
- 39:23Speaker 3: probably just to make Trump miserable. So the good news,
- 39:26Speaker 3: we're going to miss this snowstorm. It's not going to
- 39:28Speaker 3: hit us on Sunday. But the freezing temperatures have caused
- 39:32Speaker 3: a lot of problems. You know, the Hudson River, the
- 39:34Speaker 3: East River are frozen, frozen, that's ruined everything. There's no
- 39:39Speaker 3: ferry service. But also remember we need those those rivers
- 39:43Speaker 3: for all kinds of commercial purposes and shipping and delivery.
- 39:47Speaker 3: So icebreakers are now in the Hudson River. They came yesterday.
- 39:52Speaker 3: These icebreakers are trying to break up the ice and
- 39:55Speaker 3: open it up, and hopefully it'll get the ferry service back,
- 39:58Speaker 3: although who then he'll take ferry in this kind of
- 40:01Speaker 3: cold weather. You know, if you're here in Manhattan walking around,
- 40:04Speaker 3: those bikes are all over the place, riding around in
- 40:07Speaker 3: the slush and the snow and the unbelievably cold temperatures.
- 40:11Speaker 3: Bikes all over the place. And they're not just the
- 40:13Speaker 3: delivery bikes that I could understand, but just amateur bikes,
- 40:19Speaker 3: you know, city bikers. They're still out there in this snow. Hey,
- 40:23Speaker 3: the Milania movie opens today. You should go see it.
- 40:25Speaker 3: It's in fifteen hundred theaters today. They had the first
- 40:32Speaker 3: screening at the White House, big private event, and then
- 40:35Speaker 3: the big premiere was last night the Kennedy Center with
- 40:38Speaker 3: all the usual cast of characters, the whole Trump administration,
- 40:41Speaker 3: all the cabinet secretaries, all of that. And then there
- 40:44Speaker 3: were two after parties, big bashes afterwards that went all night.
- 40:51Speaker 3: But it opens today all over the country. If you
- 40:54Speaker 3: want to see it, go see it. Now. You're going
- 40:57Speaker 3: to hear all these left wing people as the film
- 40:59Speaker 3: starts to be talked about, and do well, you hear
- 41:01Speaker 3: all these media left wing idiots start to tell you
- 41:04Speaker 3: that this movie is a bribe, that why would Malania
- 41:08Speaker 3: get forty million from Amazon for this film? Well, that's
- 41:12Speaker 3: a bribe. It was Amazon bribing the Trump administration with
- 41:15Speaker 3: the forty million. Now, of course they'll never mention that
- 41:19Speaker 3: Michelle Obama, whose documentary totally bombed, got eighty million from Netflix.
- 41:25Speaker 3: Actually that's the better question. Why did Malania only get half?
- 41:29Speaker 3: Who would you rather look at for two hours, Milania
- 41:31Speaker 3: or Michelle Obama. The Michelle Obama documentaries are just it's
- 41:35Speaker 3: really crabby in real life and has nothing to say.
- 41:39Speaker 3: It's just the most boring two hours that Milania documentary.
- 41:42Speaker 3: And remember when you see the documentary, they shot like
- 41:45Speaker 3: four thousand hours just to get anything interesting. So the
- 41:49Speaker 3: two hours you're seeing is the most interesting of the
- 41:51Speaker 3: four thousand hours. Remember also, Michelle Obama got a book deal.
- 41:56Speaker 3: You know, normally when you get a book deal, they'll
- 41:58Speaker 3: give you ten million for your book in advance. Maybe
- 42:02Speaker 3: if you're the president, maybe twenty million. Remember Michelle Obama's
- 42:07Speaker 3: book deal sixty five million, unheard of, totally unheard of.
- 42:12Speaker 3: Shakespeare couldn't get sixty five million for a book deal.
- 42:15Speaker 3: But so you talk about bribing somebody, the shutdown looms,
- 42:21Speaker 3: they're trying to make some kind of deal. Of course,
- 42:22Speaker 3: you got crazy, angry Chuck Schumer who's at the end
- 42:28Speaker 3: of a very mediocre career right now, Schumer making all
- 42:31Speaker 3: kinds of demands. Are going to try to do this shutdown,
- 42:34Speaker 3: and they're going to try to use ice in Minnesota,
- 42:37Speaker 3: and all that is an excuse. You can't just shut
- 42:40Speaker 3: down the Department of Homeland Security because everything is in
- 42:42Speaker 3: that department. That's where the TSA is in there, the
- 42:45Speaker 3: Secret Service. You can't defund that but here's schumer yelling
- 42:50Speaker 3: and huffing and puffing.
- 42:51Speaker 13: Caucus is unified over three main legislative objectives. First, we
- 42:58Speaker 13: want to end groving patrol. We need to tighten the
- 43:02Speaker 13: rules governing the use of warrants and require ICE's coordination
- 43:06Speaker 13: with state and local law enforcement. Second, we want to
- 43:11Speaker 13: enforce accountability. Third, we want masks off. Body cameras on.
- 43:18Speaker 3: Okay, now, this is all a big mess of stuff.
- 43:21Speaker 3: Body cameras on. Yeah, I would agree with that masks off.
- 43:24Speaker 3: The reason they wear the mask is these crazy, raging,
- 43:27Speaker 3: nutjob violent protesters have threatened the families of the ICE agents.
- 43:34Speaker 3: If they can see the face, they can identify the person.
- 43:36Speaker 3: They will then go to the well the ICE agents
- 43:39Speaker 3: are away on the job, they will go to the
- 43:42Speaker 3: ICE agent's house and terrorize his children and his wife.
- 43:45Speaker 3: That's literally what would happen. That's why the masks. Now,
- 43:49Speaker 3: you don't need to take the masks off proposal. The
- 43:52Speaker 3: compromise will be every agent will have a number on
- 43:55Speaker 3: his uniform, big number, and that's an identifying number. So
- 43:59Speaker 3: if you want to hurt the guy, you just give
- 44:01Speaker 3: that number and then within the department they know who
- 44:04Speaker 3: it is. So that's the way they'll do that. Now
- 44:08Speaker 3: body cams, that's actually going to work against the protesters.
- 44:12Speaker 3: For instance, the Renee Good shooting, if that guy had
- 44:15Speaker 3: a bodycam, you would have seen the car come right
- 44:18Speaker 3: at it and smash it. So bodycam will help the
- 44:22Speaker 3: Ice agents. Hopefully the shutdown doesn't happen. There's a lot
- 44:27Speaker 3: of people Lindsey Graham causing the problem. The President will
- 44:30Speaker 3: call him this afternoon and calm him down and hopefully
- 44:35Speaker 3: it'll get straightened out. Now Here in New York budget crisis,
- 44:39Speaker 3: you got Mamdani in charge. He has started to figure
- 44:42Speaker 3: out it's not just about taxes. The reason you have
- 44:45Speaker 3: a budget crisis is the budget is totally out of control.
- 44:50Speaker 3: It's absolutely ludicrous that this one city has one hundred
- 44:53Speaker 3: and twenty billion dollar budget. It's insane. So cuts have
- 44:57Speaker 3: to be made. Now, Supposedly, he's going to try his
- 45:00Speaker 3: his own little doge. He's going to have somebody appointed
- 45:04Speaker 3: in each department to be like the doge officer and
- 45:07Speaker 3: figure out what can be cut. Let's hope he really
- 45:10Speaker 3: is going to do this.
- 45:11Speaker 14: The tools that the city has, these are the most
- 45:13Speaker 14: painful tools. We are talking about cuts. We are talking
- 45:16Speaker 14: about property taxes, the things that I do not want
- 45:18Speaker 14: to pursue. Yeah, and yet the scale of this fiscal
- 45:20Speaker 14: crisis of twelve billion dollars, this is not an ordinary crisis.
- 45:24Speaker 3: Yeah. Now you know the idea of the budget cuts.
- 45:27Speaker 3: It's not that you're going to hurt any services or
- 45:30Speaker 3: deprive people the services or anything like that. The overpaid
- 45:34Speaker 3: for everything. There's incredible waste bloat all through the budget.
- 45:40Speaker 3: The one hundred and twenty billion. He could easily cut
- 45:42Speaker 3: that to sixty billion and promptly forty billion if you
- 45:45Speaker 3: were really efficient about it. And hopefully he'll actually do
- 45:50Speaker 3: this stuff, actually seriously look at cutting stuff. I know
- 45:53Speaker 3: he wants to raise taxes, but he doesn't have the
- 45:56Speaker 3: power to do it. He's got to go to the governor.
- 45:59Speaker 3: She's running for real, so she's got to be careful.
- 46:02Speaker 3: Or you got to go to the city council. And
- 46:03Speaker 3: as a I'm telling you yesterday we got a new
- 46:05Speaker 3: city council speaker who's a moderate. He's a Democrat, but
- 46:09Speaker 3: a very common sense moderate Democrat who's not going to
- 46:13Speaker 3: do crazy stuff. So that's a good check and balance
- 46:16Speaker 3: on on Mom, Donnie. So the Luigi MANNGI own cases.
- 46:20Speaker 3: It's in court today and the judge is already tossed
- 46:24Speaker 3: out a couple of charges, and those were the charges
- 46:26Speaker 3: that would have brought the death penalty. Now, I don't
- 46:30Speaker 3: know what case would call for the death penalty more
- 46:32Speaker 3: than this one. I mean, we see the video of
- 46:35Speaker 3: him just deliberately assassinating this guy for no reason at all,
- 46:39Speaker 3: walking right up to this guy and shooting him dead.
- 46:42Speaker 3: I mean, what more do you need for a death penalty?
- 46:44Speaker 3: But it's a Manhattan courtroom, it's a Manhattan judge. They
- 46:48Speaker 3: don't like the death penalty, so they've taken that off
- 46:50Speaker 3: the table.
- 46:52Speaker 2: Uh.
- 46:52Speaker 3: Now, one thing about when you take that off the table,
- 46:54Speaker 3: it makes the conviction easier for a jury. And the
- 46:58Speaker 3: judge did rule that the evidence in his backpack that
- 47:01Speaker 3: was on him when he got arrested can stay. So
- 47:03Speaker 3: even though the death penalty's gone, it looks more and
- 47:06Speaker 3: more and more like an absolutely definite chance of conviction.
- 47:11Speaker 3: I mean, you got the video, you got everything, So
- 47:14Speaker 3: that's good news. Hey, yesterday was the cabinet meeting, so
- 47:20Speaker 3: all the left wing sites are trying to find something
- 47:22Speaker 3: wrong with it. Very hard to do. It's a pretty
- 47:24Speaker 3: good cabinet meeting. But here's Mediaite. Media Ite is the
- 47:27Speaker 3: real left wing or left wing slanted site, the big
- 47:32Speaker 3: headline The five most fawning moments from the Trump cabinet meeting.
- 47:36Speaker 3: Fawning moments Number one Pete Hexath claiming the Venezuela operation
- 47:42Speaker 3: was one of the greatest in world history. Well, actually
- 47:46Speaker 3: that's true. I've heard a million military experts say they're
- 47:50Speaker 3: amazed at the efficiency, how well run that operation was.
- 47:54Speaker 3: It was absolutely dazzling. I mean, get into a country,
- 47:59Speaker 3: get a world leader in his bed, and get him
- 48:01Speaker 3: out of the country without any without losing one American life.
- 48:06Speaker 3: It was unbelievable. What was the other one? Number two?
- 48:10Speaker 3: Howard Lutnick consists Trump is fixing everything. Oh, actually he is.
- 48:13Speaker 3: He's fixing the supply chain, he's fixing the economy, getting
- 48:17Speaker 3: everything straightened out. So all of these are actually great things.
- 48:20Speaker 3: Trump's small business administrator. List of wars he's ended added
- 48:26Speaker 3: another one. He's ended the war on main street and
- 48:30Speaker 3: hardworking families. Well that's pretty much true. Their income has
- 48:34Speaker 3: come up under all the Trump stuff, all the Trump
- 48:36Speaker 3: economic stuff. Average income now for a working person is
- 48:40Speaker 3: way up a couple of thousand bucks this year. Scott
- 48:44Speaker 3: Bessent predicts twenty twenty six will be the year of
- 48:47Speaker 3: the Trump boom. Yeah, so does everybody else. It's going
- 48:50Speaker 3: to the tax cuts are kicking in. You'll probably get
- 48:53Speaker 3: a rate cut pretty soon. Yeah, it really will be.
- 48:58Speaker 3: Here's the final one. Trump's saved hundreds of lives during
- 49:01Speaker 3: the winter storms due to his love of coal. Well, actually, yeah,
- 49:04Speaker 3: we had a ton of energy. All of a sudden,
- 49:07Speaker 3: gas prices are way down. An amount of gas, the
- 49:10Speaker 3: amount of oil being pumped, and all that is way
- 49:14Speaker 3: way way up. Hey, you know a lot of people,
- 49:17Speaker 3: you know, they move out of New York, they move
- 49:19Speaker 3: out of California, They moved to Texas, they moved to Florida.
- 49:23Speaker 3: People leaving New York leaving Texas over the last bunch
- 49:25Speaker 3: of years for tax reasons, other reasons. Studies now show
- 49:32Speaker 3: that because of that, when they do the twenty thirty census,
- 49:37Speaker 3: New York and California combined will lose six House seats
- 49:41Speaker 3: and the House seats will be transferred to places like
- 49:44Speaker 3: Texas and Florida. And they estimate that's going to cost
- 49:47Speaker 3: Democrats in the future nine electoral votes. Right there. Pretty interesting. Hey,
- 49:52Speaker 3: we'll take some calls. Next eight hundred three two one
- 49:56Speaker 3: zero seven ten. Is the number eight hundred three two
- 49:59Speaker 3: one zero seven ten.
- 50:01Speaker 1: Give WR a bree said on the iHeart Radio app
- 50:05Speaker 1: to hear Mark Simone and all the WR hosts in
- 50:09Speaker 1: an instance.
- 50:10Speaker 2: Now back to the Mark Simon Show on WOR.
- 50:15Speaker 3: Hey, let's take some polls. Let's go to Carl Yorktown Heights. Carl,
- 50:19Speaker 3: how you.
- 50:20Speaker 5: Doing all right?
- 50:21Speaker 12: Good speak you Mark? Mark over in New Yorktown. Our prices,
- 50:26Speaker 12: our gifts sayed between three twenty nine and three thirty
- 50:29Speaker 12: three for us the last six months. I don't understand
- 50:32Speaker 12: what we're not coming down yet.
- 50:34Speaker 3: Oh, because New York State is every time the price
- 50:36Speaker 3: of gas comes down, new York State increases the tax
- 50:39Speaker 3: to keep it where it is, So gases two fifty everywhere,
- 50:42Speaker 3: But in California and New York they keep raising the tax,
- 50:45Speaker 3: the local tax, to keep it up there. So the
- 50:49Speaker 3: price you pay for living in New York. Hey, you
- 50:52Speaker 3: got a lot of snow up there, Carl.
- 50:54Speaker 12: Oh yeah, we had about between fifteen and eighteen fifteen.
- 50:59Speaker 12: And they're still taking out the sidewalks.
- 51:03Speaker 3: All right, Carl, thanks for calling Yorktown. He it's a
- 51:05Speaker 3: very nice place. Let's go to rich In Myrtle Beach.
- 51:08Speaker 3: Rich How you doing.
- 51:10Speaker 6: Hey, thanks May. We're getting two to four inches of
- 51:12Speaker 6: snow here tomorrow afternoon and tomorrow night, and it'll stick
- 51:15Speaker 6: around for a couple of days. They're going to be
- 51:16Speaker 6: in the team for the next few days.
- 51:18Speaker 3: Wait a minute, Myrtle Beach. Where's that South Carolina?
- 51:21Speaker 6: Yes, South Carolina, North Carolina.
- 51:23Speaker 3: Until you go down there to get away from this weather.
- 51:26Speaker 6: Yeah, in Inland where your buddy Joe Barbler lives, he's
- 51:29Speaker 6: going to be getting five to eight inches in there
- 51:31Speaker 6: by that part of South Carolina.
- 51:33Speaker 5: Whoa yeah, you know.
- 51:36Speaker 6: Chuck Schumer continues to just show what a complete idiot
- 51:39Speaker 6: and the putts he really is. It's just disgraceful what
- 51:42Speaker 6: this guy is still in office. But I don't know
- 51:44Speaker 6: if you saw this. I saw a posted somewhere that
- 51:47Speaker 6: some film companies looking for as many cops and firemen
- 51:50Speaker 6: as they can find because they're doing a giant documentary
- 51:54Speaker 6: on the after nine to eleven illnesses and cancers that
- 51:57Speaker 6: came about. I don't know if you saw anything or
- 51:59Speaker 6: do anything about that. No, but no acting experience needed.
- 52:03Speaker 3: Well, obviously they want to people. You know, sounds like
- 52:06Speaker 3: a documentary kind of thing. But interesting. Yeah, you're right
- 52:08Speaker 3: about Schumer because, uh, he's really the poster boy for
- 52:13Speaker 3: term limits. He is just an old dinosaur, this old fossil,
- 52:17Speaker 3: this useless bureaucrat who gets nothing done except for donors.
- 52:22Speaker 3: And you wonder, how the hell did that guy stay there?
- 52:24Speaker 3: How does he get reelected donor service? That's what he's
- 52:26Speaker 3: known for. They all got his cell phone and is
- 52:30Speaker 3: even the Republican donors lot. They'll as they'll tell you,
- 52:33Speaker 3: I can wake that guy up at two in the morning.
- 52:34Speaker 3: He'll do whatever I need. That's Chuck Schumer. That's that's
- 52:38Speaker 3: been his main business for all these years. Let's go
- 52:40Speaker 3: to Bob Montvale, New Jersey. Bob, how you doing good? Mark?
- 52:44Speaker 3: Thank you? Hey.
- 52:45Speaker 15: I'm surprised that there's not more hope law about the
- 52:48Speaker 15: MTA making history about like the one point five billion
- 52:52Speaker 15: in all the time. It's interesting there's a dulge project
- 52:57Speaker 15: at Mundani and Cochel could take to find out, like, jeez,
- 53:02Speaker 15: so much over time, what's going on over there all
- 53:05Speaker 15: the money taking agency?
- 53:06Speaker 3: As Curtis would say, yeah, no, it's though it's total waste, fraud, bloat.
- 53:12Speaker 3: New York State budget, New York City budget. You know,
- 53:15Speaker 3: Florida is a bigger place than New York. It has
- 53:18Speaker 3: a bigger population than New York State. There has more
- 53:20Speaker 3: big cities than New York State. Their budget is half
- 53:24Speaker 3: the budget in New York State. Half. We could cut
- 53:27Speaker 3: our budget in half. You know what that means. It
- 53:29Speaker 3: means your taxes get cut in half. New York City,
- 53:32Speaker 3: we could cut this budget in half. That means your
- 53:34Speaker 3: taxes get cut in half. You're overpaying like crazy for
- 53:38Speaker 3: all that waste and fraud and bloat. Let's go to
- 53:40Speaker 3: Richard in New Jersey. Richard, how you doing?
- 53:43Speaker 5: How do you doing? Mark? Thank You've been taking the
- 53:45Speaker 5: call with respect to Minneapolis. Something that doesn't make sense.
- 53:49Speaker 5: It's cold as there than here. Why are they getting
- 53:51Speaker 5: into confrontations spray with firehosts?
- 53:54Speaker 3: Well, first of all, the cold has helped. There was
- 53:58Speaker 3: supposed to be a vicious violence weekend protest. The cold
- 54:01Speaker 3: weather put an end to that last weekend. And they
- 54:03Speaker 3: do spray them, but they spray them with that it's
- 54:07Speaker 3: not I know what it is, mace or some chemical.
- 54:10Speaker 3: And they spray them in the face.
- 54:12Speaker 5: On them and they get the hell out of dodge quick.
- 54:14Speaker 3: Yeah. Well yeah, but it's there's a lot of videos
- 54:17Speaker 3: online you can see of them getting sprayed. And it's
- 54:19Speaker 3: not with a little you know thing you hold in
- 54:20Speaker 3: your hand, little pepper spray thing. It's like a big
- 54:23Speaker 3: fire hose of spray. It's great to watch those videos
- 54:27Speaker 3: because it comes out all red and green and blue,
- 54:29Speaker 3: like a rainbow of powder just going hitting them right
- 54:33Speaker 3: in the face. It's like a cannon. They use it.
- 54:36Speaker 3: That stuff great stuff. So hey, don't forget. If you're
- 54:39Speaker 3: a podcast listener, you get a bonus segment every weekend.
- 54:44Speaker 3: There's an exit. It's like having an extra show on
- 54:46Speaker 3: the If you're a podcast listening, you get a bonus
- 54:49Speaker 3: segment every weekend. And if you want to hear the
- 54:52Speaker 3: show anytime, day or night, just get the podcast any
- 54:55Speaker 3: place you get podcasts. Let's go to let's go to
- 54:58Speaker 3: line too. How you doing, I'm good?
- 55:01Speaker 12: How are you?
- 55:02Speaker 3: I'm good? How are you?
- 55:06Speaker 16: I'm calling about accessor Ride.
- 55:08Speaker 3: Wor Yes, you sound very gentle. What are you calling about.
- 55:13Speaker 16: Access? The issues with accessor Ride? They left me stranded
- 55:17Speaker 16: last night and the night before.
- 55:19Speaker 3: What's accessor z nicol Uh.
- 55:22Speaker 16: It's it's a transfer empta transfer transportation for disabled.
- 55:27Speaker 3: Oh and what happened? They didn't show up?
- 55:31Speaker 16: They didn't show up Wednesday night or last night. Wow,
- 55:35Speaker 16: I was standing out Nicole for twenty five minutes last
- 55:38Speaker 16: night because it kept saying writing in three minutes, arriving
- 55:42Speaker 16: in three minutes. They never showed up.
- 55:44Speaker 3: Oh well, sorry to hear that. You're okay now, I
- 55:46Speaker 3: hope you got home.
- 55:47Speaker 8: Okay, I got home.
- 55:49Speaker 16: I'd take accessor ride. I had to take an uber
- 55:52Speaker 16: last night. One hundred and thirty one days.
- 55:54Speaker 3: Oh all right, Well that's a terrible story. I hope
- 55:56Speaker 3: that doesn't happen again. Thanks for calling. Yeah, that's the
- 55:59Speaker 3: mt they've had, not just the MTA but MTA Metro
- 56:04Speaker 3: North Long Island Road. A lot of disruption all this
- 56:07Speaker 3: week because of the snow, because of whatever. A lot
- 56:10Speaker 3: of trains canceled late, didn't show up. But that's a
- 56:12Speaker 3: horrible story there. Hey, when we come back, Charlie Gasparino
- 56:16Speaker 3: will be with us, the best business reporter on earth.
- 56:18Speaker 3: Lots to talk to him about. Coming up next on
- 56:21Speaker 3: seven to ten, wor.
- 56:23Speaker 1: More Mark Simone on seven tenor Well.
- 56:28Speaker 3: Charlie Gasparino, the best business reporter on Earth. Of course,
- 56:31Speaker 3: you see him on the Fox Business Network and you
- 56:33Speaker 3: can read his columns the New York Post and make
- 56:37Speaker 3: sure you get his book. You'll love this book. It's
- 56:39Speaker 3: called Go Woke, Go Broke, big bestseller. You can get
- 56:42Speaker 3: it at Amazon. Go Woke, Go Broke, Charlie Gasparino. How
- 56:47Speaker 3: you doing good?
- 56:49Speaker 5: I just read that Don Lennon got arrested.
- 56:53Speaker 3: Well it's it's it's great. But aren't you worried that
- 56:57Speaker 3: this could make him into a big martyr, This could
- 56:59Speaker 3: make him into a big TV star all over again.
- 57:03Speaker 5: And I don't know, I don Lemon will screw up anything.
- 57:09Speaker 5: He was like a normal human being.
- 57:10Speaker 7: I'd be like yeah.
- 57:12Speaker 5: A few times, like once recently as a matter of fact.
- 57:16Speaker 5: I mean he was like, seemed like a nice guy.
- 57:19Speaker 5: I just don't what he did in that church and
- 57:23Speaker 5: some of his other antics. It's just so stupid. I
- 57:26Speaker 5: don't don't quite understand it. It's I mean, okay, like, listen,
- 57:32Speaker 5: you cover stories, but are do you partake in the
- 57:37Speaker 5: story like he kind of He definitely kind of stepped
- 57:41Speaker 5: over the line and in it's such a horrible way
- 57:44Speaker 5: because all as they were doing was harassing poor people
- 57:46Speaker 5: at church. It wasn't like these was a clan rally
- 57:50Speaker 5: or anything. These were a bunch of Christians who are
- 57:52Speaker 5: sitting there praying to God while these assholes come in
- 57:57Speaker 5: off the street and started using them and their kids.
- 58:00Speaker 5: And he made it sound like, you know, it was
- 58:02Speaker 5: MLKA coming across the Edmund Pettis Bridge.
- 58:05Speaker 3: You know, well, if you read the lie, it's pretty specific.
- 58:10Speaker 3: You're not allowed to do anything to intimidate or interfere
- 58:13Speaker 3: with the service. It's pretty clear.
- 58:16Speaker 5: It's well, yeah, they you know. I just wonder, you know,
- 58:20Speaker 5: I mean, I wonder if he could fall behind that
- 58:23Speaker 5: that First Amendment stuff. But although it seemed like he
- 58:26Speaker 5: was so part of it, just I wonder it was
- 58:30Speaker 5: giving him advice to do this stupid stuff because it's
- 58:32Speaker 5: really dumb. I mean, it's really really dumb. And I
- 58:36Speaker 5: don't think and this is why I don't think he'll
- 58:39Speaker 5: be a martyr on this mark. It's so stupid. Even
- 58:43Speaker 5: lefties indeed it will say it's stupid what he did.
- 58:46Speaker 3: All right, that's a good point. Kevin Walsh, Are we
- 58:50Speaker 3: happy with this? I am.
- 58:53Speaker 5: I think this is a great choice. I mean, so
- 58:56Speaker 5: I wrote a story I don't remember. It was a
- 58:57Speaker 5: couple of about a month ago, had a bunch of
- 59:00Speaker 5: CEOs went to Trump and said, listen, if you're gonna
- 59:03Speaker 5: go there, do not pick you know, if you can
- 59:07Speaker 5: get rid of of Howell, do not be a ascid
- 59:10Speaker 5: Kevin has And Kevin Hassen's a nice guy's a smart guy,
- 59:13Speaker 5: but he's way too much of a cheerleader. I mean, well,
- 59:16Speaker 5: you kind of need somebody that is seen as independent
- 59:20Speaker 5: because you know, whether we like it or not, we
- 59:22Speaker 5: sell a lot of debt. You know, we're still running
- 59:25Speaker 5: two trillion dollar budget deficits. If the FED is seen
- 59:28Speaker 5: as not independent, someone that's gonna FED share is gonna,
- 59:32Speaker 5: you know, on the phone with Trump juice in the
- 59:34Speaker 5: economy whenever Trump wants. You know, people are just not
- 59:37Speaker 5: gonna buy your debt because it's gonna inflation is gonna erod.
- 59:40Speaker 5: It's it's uh, it's buying, it's it's it's investment advantage.
- 59:47Speaker 5: So you you need someone that that's kind of like
- 59:50Speaker 5: in the middle. And Kevin Walsh really is an independent guy.
- 59:53Speaker 5: He's a long time inflation hawk. Got that back up.
- 59:57Speaker 5: My guess is he will agree with Trump and low
- 1:00:00Speaker 5: short term rates. Fad uh. He will do other things
- 1:00:04Speaker 5: to mitigate the inflation impact of that, which is, you know,
- 1:00:10Speaker 5: unwinding the Fed's massive ballad sheet. It controlled, it holds
- 1:00:14Speaker 5: all these asets and he needs to sell them. That
- 1:00:17Speaker 5: will keep that will keep the lid on interest rates.
- 1:00:20Speaker 5: And I think it's and I know the guy just
- 1:00:22Speaker 5: pull disclosure. I know my life. I've known a few years.
- 1:00:25Speaker 5: Really smart, decent man. I mean, this is a good
- 1:00:28Speaker 5: a good choice, really good.
- 1:00:30Speaker 3: Well that's that's good here. But do we want to
- 1:00:31Speaker 3: Fed chairman?
- 1:00:32Speaker 5: The talkish it depends on the hawk is well, you
- 1:00:37Speaker 5: do you like inflation?
- 1:00:40Speaker 3: No, I'm not not crazy about it.
- 1:00:41Speaker 5: No, So, I mean, inflation is probably the worst thing
- 1:00:45Speaker 5: for one of the worst things for an economy because
- 1:00:47Speaker 5: it really destroys the social fabric. If if you're an
- 1:00:50Speaker 5: average person and you work like really hard, but you
- 1:00:54Speaker 5: still can't afford food, which inflation gives you. And that's
- 1:00:58Speaker 5: kind of the problem that Biden had. And and by
- 1:01:00Speaker 5: extent eris you know, you've got a real societal problem.
- 1:01:05Speaker 5: And I and I think that's what he's good at.
- 1:01:07Speaker 5: I mean, I think he'll understand that there is a
- 1:01:11Speaker 5: dual mandate. It's inflation first in the context of full employment.
- 1:01:18Speaker 5: He understands that. And if you want to spur the economy,
- 1:01:22Speaker 5: that's where you got fiscal policy coming out of the
- 1:01:24Speaker 5: White House. And I think this is kind of what
- 1:01:28Speaker 5: with the FED lost track of the FED under Powell
- 1:01:30Speaker 5: became like part of the the sort of the fabric
- 1:01:35Speaker 5: of fiscal policy and and and White House policy. And
- 1:01:38Speaker 5: he can't be engaged in ESG and DEI and all
- 1:01:42Speaker 5: these radical leftist clauses. And I think, you know, I
- 1:01:47Speaker 5: think Warsh understands. I know he understands that. So I
- 1:01:50Speaker 5: think he will he will give Trump what he wants,
- 1:01:54Speaker 5: lower short term interest rates, which I don't understand why
- 1:01:56Speaker 5: he's so obsessed with that, because the short term interest
- 1:01:59Speaker 5: rates really little. It's the ten year that means a lot.
- 1:02:03Speaker 5: And that's all based on plation expectations. That's where all
- 1:02:05Speaker 5: the consumer rates are pegged off him. Yeah, be that
- 1:02:08Speaker 5: as a may He'll play the game and he'll do it. Well,
- 1:02:10Speaker 5: I guess all right.
- 1:02:11Speaker 3: That's good to hear. Hey, mom, Donnie has been in
- 1:02:14Speaker 3: office now for two three weeks and a lot of
- 1:02:16Speaker 3: people are saying, well, it seems okay, nothing bad, but
- 1:02:19Speaker 3: what what how do you read the mom Donnie situation?
- 1:02:23Speaker 5: I mean, you know, he's a horrible moron. I mean.
- 1:02:29Speaker 3: That's a good annoulytis.
- 1:02:32Speaker 5: Literally right, he doesn't he didn't want the cops to
- 1:02:35Speaker 5: get rid of the homeless guys off the streets and
- 1:02:36Speaker 5: some zero weather or guess what they died. I mean,
- 1:02:39Speaker 5: the guy is a complete idiot. If he was this
- 1:02:42Speaker 5: was anybody when when in R next to its name,
- 1:02:45Speaker 5: the New York Times would be running front page stories
- 1:02:48Speaker 5: about how he needs to be the one thing. I
- 1:02:52Speaker 5: wrote about this in the Post today, and I've been
- 1:02:54Speaker 5: writing about this a lot. There's a lot that he
- 1:02:57Speaker 5: can't do because of a guy named you carry, a
- 1:03:01Speaker 5: former governor, a guy named Felix Roatan who is a
- 1:03:04Speaker 5: former financier the public but you know, you know, dedicate
- 1:03:08Speaker 5: his life the civic work in New York City and
- 1:03:11Speaker 5: basically bringing the city back after the financial crisis of
- 1:03:14Speaker 5: the seventies. They created the structure where you can't run
- 1:03:18Speaker 5: budget deficits or else you lose control of the budget.
- 1:03:21Speaker 5: The state takes it over. It's almost impossible go into
- 1:03:24Speaker 5: the foult Don Olders gets first DIBs on tax revenues
- 1:03:29Speaker 5: even before it goes to pay all these programs. You
- 1:03:32Speaker 5: can raise taxes, but you need the state to raise
- 1:03:36Speaker 5: for you. In many ways. If you lose population because
- 1:03:39Speaker 5: you raise taxes and the state agrees to it, well
- 1:03:43Speaker 5: guess what. Then you have budget deficits. And if you
- 1:03:46Speaker 5: run a deficit the end of the year, because you
- 1:03:50Speaker 5: will lose control of the budget, it goes to the state.
- 1:03:53Speaker 5: So all those handcuffs are on. Even a commedie like Mondai.
- 1:03:59Speaker 5: I think even in the unis babon prisis. By the way,
- 1:04:02Speaker 5: you need debt in New York City is very I
- 1:04:04Speaker 5: just wrote about this is very is very flat right now.
- 1:04:08Speaker 5: I mean the price is our movement. It's they're high,
- 1:04:11Speaker 5: They're up a little bit. Anyway, that's where we.
- 1:04:15Speaker 3: Are right now.
- 1:04:15Speaker 5: It'll be interest to see what he does. I mean,
- 1:04:17Speaker 5: I mean Madami, even when it doesn't come to taxes
- 1:04:19Speaker 5: and all, that can really wreak havoc on the city
- 1:04:22Speaker 5: and culturally in somebody other ways. Obviously, I just worry
- 1:04:26Speaker 5: about these ice protests coming to New York and every
- 1:04:29Speaker 5: soon because you have the same sort of political dynamic
- 1:04:31Speaker 5: as you have in Minnesota. Minnesota have a bunch of leftists,
- 1:04:34Speaker 5: like really craved and leftists, including a moron as governor
- 1:04:39Speaker 5: Tim Watson almost became our vice president, you know, Aggan
- 1:04:42Speaker 5: on these violent leftist protesters. You can see someone like
- 1:04:47Speaker 5: Mandami doing the same because he's cut from that cloth
- 1:04:50Speaker 5: in cloth is as By the way, these protesters are people.
- 1:04:53Speaker 5: The aren't just like protesting. These are trained near militia
- 1:04:59Speaker 5: style trained left this anarchists. So I think I'm worried
- 1:05:05Speaker 5: about that coming to the city more than even like
- 1:05:08Speaker 5: him raising taxes.
- 1:05:11Speaker 3: Yeah, I think we should stop using the word protester.
- 1:05:14Speaker 3: That implies you're standing there across the street with a
- 1:05:16Speaker 3: sign and yelling, but when you're spitting in their face,
- 1:05:18Speaker 3: they're kicking the tail light out of their car. That
- 1:05:20Speaker 3: that's behind a protester, isn't it.
- 1:05:23Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean you saw the one that was shot, right, Yeah,
- 1:05:28Speaker 5: I mean the Americans die. That guy was out of
- 1:05:31Speaker 5: his mind. I mean, he's a crazy protester. And by
- 1:05:36Speaker 5: the way, who shows up You know, I can't. I
- 1:05:40Speaker 5: want to respect the dead. Alex pretty or Pretto whatever
- 1:05:43Speaker 5: his name is. Yea, And I see you nurse were
- 1:05:46Speaker 5: supposed to electively this guy came, a lock came, he
- 1:05:51Speaker 5: was he had two backup rounds on a concealed weapon
- 1:05:57Speaker 5: when he was getting an attacking cop. What does that
- 1:06:02Speaker 5: tell you? I mean, that's that's pretty pretty wild if
- 1:06:08Speaker 5: you ask me. Very aggressive.
- 1:06:10Speaker 3: Yeah, and if you saw police carrying out an operation,
- 1:06:13Speaker 3: who has the nerve to go over there and try
- 1:06:15Speaker 3: to stop it? Interfere with it? That takes a hell
- 1:06:17Speaker 3: of a lot.
- 1:06:17Speaker 5: Of nerve, which a loaded weapons.
- 1:06:21Speaker 3: Yeah, what is that? Charlie Gasperino, great talk. And Hey,
- 1:06:27Speaker 3: if anybody out there doesn't have the book, go woke,
- 1:06:30Speaker 3: go broke. Get this book. You're gonna love it. And
- 1:06:34Speaker 3: are you doing TV today?
- 1:06:37Speaker 5: No, because I'm barely They already got back my voice.
- 1:06:40Speaker 3: Oh okay, Well, otherwise, you see him all over the
- 1:06:43Speaker 3: Fox Business Network doing the great reporting, read his columns
- 1:06:46Speaker 3: New York Post, and make sure you follow on Twitter.
- 1:06:49Speaker 3: He is one of the best tweeters on earth. Charlie
- 1:06:52Speaker 3: Gasparino at Twitter. Charlie, thanks for being with us. Take care. Hey,
- 1:06:59Speaker 3: We've got a lot to coming up today. You got
- 1:07:01Speaker 3: Buck and Clay at noon right after the news. Then
- 1:07:04Speaker 3: you got the most listened to radio show in America,
- 1:07:07Speaker 3: Sean Hannity, you got Jesse Kelly six o'clock and Jimmy Failot.
- 1:07:11Speaker 3: It is a wonderful news show here it's nine to midnight, funny, interesting,
- 1:07:15Speaker 3: that's all coming up the rest of the day here
- 1:07:17Speaker 3: on seven ten WR.
- 1:07:21Speaker 2: Mark Simo.
- 1:07:28Speaker 3: Hey, Now, remember earlier in the program, we were talking
- 1:07:30Speaker 3: about the Epstein files, and I said, there's five point
- 1:07:33Speaker 3: two million pages and they've got four hundred lawyers at
- 1:07:38Speaker 3: the Justice Department reviewing them. You can't just release these files.
- 1:07:40Speaker 3: You got to review them carefully and make sure you
- 1:07:44Speaker 3: remove any thing that identifies the victims, that kind of stuff.
- 1:07:48Speaker 3: So they had to go through five point two million pages.
- 1:07:50Speaker 3: That's what's taken so long. But as we speak, the
- 1:07:54Speaker 3: Justice Department has just released three point five million page
- 1:08:00Speaker 3: that's about two thirds of what's left. So all that's
- 1:08:03Speaker 3: left is about thirty percent. But today, right now, they're
- 1:08:06Speaker 3: releasing three point five million pages of the Epstein file.
- 1:08:11Speaker 3: This will include at least two thousand videos and one
- 1:08:17Speaker 3: hundred and eighty thousand images that these are pictures, all
- 1:08:22Speaker 3: of which were taken by Epstein. Now I take a
- 1:08:26Speaker 3: lot of pictures. I'm a big photographer all day long.
- 1:08:28Speaker 3: I'm taking pictures of anything and everything. And if you
- 1:08:31Speaker 3: look at my Instagram, I'm always putting up picture. I
- 1:08:34Speaker 3: just love taking pictures. But I looked on my phone
- 1:08:36Speaker 3: to see how many pictures I have, and this is
- 1:08:38Speaker 3: for years. It's like it's only about twenty thousand pictures.
- 1:08:43Speaker 3: You know, how would anybody take one hundred and eighty
- 1:08:47Speaker 3: thousand pictures? And this is just one batch altogether, there's
- 1:08:50Speaker 3: something like almost a million pictures. Who could take that
- 1:08:53Speaker 3: many pictures? But if you want to start going through them,
- 1:08:56Speaker 3: they're out there today. Hey, we're out of time. No snow.
- 1:09:00Speaker 3: It looks like no snow from Manhattan or within about
- 1:09:03Speaker 3: fifty miles of Manhattan, So that's good news. If you
- 1:09:08Speaker 3: want to listen to the podcast, don't forget there's a
- 1:09:10Speaker 3: bonus segment. You get an extra show, an extra segment
- 1:09:12Speaker 3: on the podcast, and you can hear the show the
- 1:09:15Speaker 3: podcast any place you get podcasts. So thanks for listening.
- 1:09:19Speaker 3: I'll be back Monday ten to noon. Have a great weekend.
- 1:09:22Speaker 3: Thanks for everything. Talk to you Monday at ten right
- 1:09:25Speaker 3: here on seven ten woar
