- 0:13Speaker 1: give a full refresher on Akata, a courd of Thorns
- 0:18Speaker 1: and Roses. So what Oddie has done, which is good
- 0:22Speaker 1: of him, is he's gone and compiled every segment we've
- 0:26Speaker 1: done on Akata so far and he's made it all
- 0:28Speaker 1: into one massive, long episode. So if this is the
- 0:32Speaker 1: first one you're listening to, then you're caught up on everything.
- 0:36Speaker 1: It's all in the one place. It's all in the
- 0:37Speaker 1: one place. And next week we will be doing our
- 0:40Speaker 1: first review of chapters one to seven on Akamath, a
- 0:43Speaker 1: cord of missed and Fury. Don't miss out. Remember if
- 0:47Speaker 1: you want the book Club early, it will be on
- 0:51Speaker 1: Patreon on Monday, Easy money.
- 0:53Speaker 2: And this is all happening because this is what the
- 0:55Speaker 2: book Club has formed into. It's evolved from a singular
- 0:59Speaker 2: segment in the podcast, and because you guys are turning
- 1:01Speaker 2: up week after week after week, this is all going
- 1:04Speaker 2: to be in one place for the new listeners.
- 1:06Speaker 1: And then moving forward, it's its own episode.
- 1:08Speaker 3: We love you, Love you guys, enjoy Relatable.
- 1:21Speaker 1: Okay, everybody, this is super exciting. Welcome to the Relatables
- 1:27Speaker 1: Daddies book Club.
- 1:29Speaker 4: Oh yeah, Welcome to Relatables book Club, where we will
- 1:36Speaker 4: buck on a journey reading some of the finest pieces
- 1:40Speaker 4: of literature.
- 1:41Speaker 1: If you have ever laid eyes, if that's your preferred
- 1:44Speaker 1: way to consume.
- 1:45Speaker 5: A book on, how did you make that? How the
- 1:54Speaker 5: fun did you make that secret?
- 1:56Speaker 1: I know you obviously did it like audition or something
- 1:58Speaker 1: or garage? Ben? Yeah, do I want to know? So?
- 2:05Speaker 6: I just thought I thought this is this For some reason,
- 2:08Speaker 6: this segment new segment of Relatables about his book club
- 2:12Speaker 6: is hands down the most excited Evince for a segment
- 2:14Speaker 6: since Dilemmas.
- 2:16Speaker 1: All right, and I thought we need a proper opening. Now, yeah,
- 2:21Speaker 1: that doesn't have to be it. I just was going
- 2:22Speaker 1: to come week to week. No, like, like god, that's
- 2:26Speaker 1: the opening of Relatables Batty book Club. Why'd you like it?
- 2:31Speaker 1: I was, so, should I add at the end of it,
- 2:33Speaker 1: a court of Thorns and Roses? Yeah, we can make
- 2:35Speaker 1: a new each time. We'll keep that and then each
- 2:37Speaker 1: time all the books. Yeah, the book we're reading and
- 2:39Speaker 1: maybe like the chapter, so we read three chapters guys,
- 2:42Speaker 1: A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah j. Mass. Yeah,
- 2:45Speaker 1: three chapters deep. I like to call us Sarah Jane Mass.
- 2:47Speaker 1: Now I'm on first term basis. Yeah, okay, so far. Quickly,
- 2:51Speaker 1: I want to add, what'd you think of the first
- 2:54Speaker 1: three episodes? Because I wrote notes? I wrote notes.
- 2:56Speaker 2: I did mine as long as yours. I've got like words, okay, okay.
- 3:02Speaker 2: Initial impressions, I want to say, I've never read a
- 3:05Speaker 2: book like this neither.
- 3:07Speaker 1: It was a little bit.
- 3:07Speaker 2: Hard to get into because the dialogue was fucking descriptive, okay,
- 3:12Speaker 2: and then after a little bit, I'm like, because we
- 3:13Speaker 2: have to do it for relatables, I was like, okay,
- 3:15Speaker 2: let's get into this the groove. And I had to
- 3:17Speaker 2: really like conceptualize the characters in my head. And I
- 3:20Speaker 2: really got into it and I'm liking it. I do
- 3:22Speaker 2: have a few thoughts, but first impressions, I'm like, Okay,
- 3:27Speaker 2: this is new to me, but I'm intrigued.
- 3:30Speaker 1: Yeah, the same, best way to put it, same, I'm intrigued.
- 3:33Speaker 1: I don't know. I think right off the bat, my
- 3:36Speaker 1: mindset was like, this is for the podcast, yeah, so
- 3:40Speaker 1: I want to be into it. So when we talk
- 3:43Speaker 1: about it, I'm into it. Yeah. Yeah. And so from
- 3:44Speaker 1: just from the get go, I was like, this book's
- 3:46Speaker 1: the best book I've ever ever read. Before I opened it,
- 3:47Speaker 1: I was like, this is going to be the best
- 3:48Speaker 1: book I've ever read, and so so far I'm loving it. Okay, Okay,
- 3:52Speaker 1: But I wrote down all these notes and this is
- 3:55Speaker 1: more these notes is just kind of like what we
- 3:57Speaker 1: know so far, and I thought it might just help
- 3:59Speaker 1: us both to talk about. Okay, So a Court of
- 4:02Speaker 1: Thorns and Roses? It is in this world? Do they
- 4:06Speaker 1: live on a continent that consists of the Prithian and
- 4:11Speaker 1: then also the Mortal Lands. Centuries ago, the High Fay
- 4:14Speaker 1: of Prithian used the mortals of the Mortal Lands as
- 4:18Speaker 1: slave labor until a war broke out and was only
- 4:21Speaker 1: stopped once an invisible wall was placed between between Prithian
- 4:25Speaker 1: and the Mortal Lands and a treaty was made. Now
- 4:28Speaker 1: the mortals that we know so far, Yes, is the
- 4:30Speaker 1: main character? Is it Favra or Freyer? I think it's
- 4:35Speaker 1: frey Ra. I don't mind calling her. Yeah, Favra. She's
- 4:39Speaker 1: the youngest daughter of three, the only real provider for
- 4:43Speaker 1: her father and two sisters. She doesn't hate her sisters,
- 4:46Speaker 1: but I get the sense that she's a little jealous
- 4:48Speaker 1: of them.
- 4:49Speaker 2: I oh, I wasn't going to say jealous. I thought
- 4:52Speaker 2: the rest of her family getting a free ride.
- 4:55Speaker 1: Yeah, see, you know, tell me, I'm going to say
- 4:57Speaker 1: this because I wrote, like, what I kind of think?
- 4:58Speaker 1: You told me what you think? After I says, so
- 5:00Speaker 1: that's what I think of favor. Yeah. Is that so
- 5:03Speaker 1: she's the provider? Yeah? And that I get the sense
- 5:06Speaker 1: that because she she talks about things that her sisters
- 5:09Speaker 1: do that annoy her, but she's not once hated them.
- 5:13Speaker 1: She's never once like she has said, I'm keen ads
- 5:17Speaker 1: for them to be married off. But but to me,
- 5:20Speaker 1: it sounded like she was doing it out of guilt
- 5:24Speaker 1: because her mom died. Oh yeah, her mum made her
- 5:26Speaker 1: her mom promise.
- 5:27Speaker 2: Made her promise to provide for the family, even though
- 5:29Speaker 2: she's not the eldest daughter. And then she's like doing
- 5:32Speaker 2: it because she made that promise to her mum who's died.
- 5:35Speaker 1: But then like the back of her head, she's like,
- 5:37Speaker 1: these girls are bitches. Yeah, yeah, yeah, okay, okay, that's
- 5:40Speaker 1: how I dook it. Yeah, and you're not wrong yeah,
- 5:42Speaker 1: you are not wrong. And then the dad's just like
- 5:45Speaker 1: got a broken knee and isn't able to do anything exactly. Yeah.
- 5:48Speaker 1: So Elaine is the middle daughter of three. She seems
- 5:52Speaker 1: to be a real girly girl who is always cheery
- 5:55Speaker 1: and in denial about the fact that they are poor.
- 6:00Speaker 2: And apparently they're poor, poor, poor. They kept saying, like
- 6:03Speaker 2: iron something they used to have. I didn't understand what
- 6:06Speaker 2: that is.
- 6:06Speaker 1: I don't know what it was, but it was like
- 6:08Speaker 1: iron jewelry. Yeah, I didn't. So the reason people where
- 6:12Speaker 1: iron jewelry is too Apparently the Faiary and the high
- 6:18Speaker 1: Fay don't like it. But it's all kind of a myth, right, Yeah, Nesta, Yes,
- 6:23Speaker 1: the oldest of three honestly just kind of a bitch.
- 6:26Speaker 1: And yeah, I'm getting it, she's just a bitch. Yeah,
- 6:29Speaker 1: the sisters both were a bit and she I reckon,
- 6:31Speaker 1: she's jealous of Fate roll. Yeah. Yeah. The father, I
- 6:34Speaker 1: don't think they've said his name. I didn't take it
- 6:37Speaker 1: into it. If they did, I said, I'm not sure
- 6:40Speaker 1: they've mentioned his name. He has a bad knee and
- 6:42Speaker 1: signed a camp. It kind of just sounds useless because
- 6:44Speaker 1: he used to be pretty rich.
- 6:46Speaker 2: Yeah, And so what I didn't get is like someone
- 6:50Speaker 2: came into the house and then it was like debt collectors. Yeah,
- 6:54Speaker 2: but like they didn't explain what the debt was, and
- 6:56Speaker 2: then they didn't have the money, so they just broke
- 6:57Speaker 2: his knee and then it took like two years to recover.
- 6:59Speaker 1: And now he even walk like past the k Yeah. Yeah,
- 7:01Speaker 1: he's still can't. Yeah, he's just fuck. Yeah, he's just fun.
- 7:03Speaker 1: And the cold weather. They're in winter now, and apparently
- 7:05Speaker 1: the cold weather just like makes it flair up. Yeah, Okay.
- 7:08Speaker 1: And then Isaac is that the one she slept with. Yeah,
- 7:12Speaker 1: so Isaac is Fava's secret lover and he has just
- 7:17Speaker 1: gotten married. Yeah, getting the vibes that he's kind of
- 7:19Speaker 1: hot but nerdy at the same time, he's the son
- 7:23Speaker 1: of a decently successful, successful local farmer.
- 7:29Speaker 2: I got the vibe that what's his name, Isaac, Isaac
- 7:32Speaker 2: and Farah are going to sleep together and they're going
- 7:34Speaker 2: to cheat.
- 7:35Speaker 1: I think what the vibe I get in the near
- 7:38Speaker 1: the end of the last chapter was that when they
- 7:42Speaker 1: were in the village and she saw Isaac from a distance,
- 7:47Speaker 1: she said something like he we don't try and fully
- 7:51Speaker 1: hide our loving, but we do try to keep it discreet. Yeah,
- 7:55Speaker 1: And so then he goes, she goes like he kind
- 7:59Speaker 1: of doesn't know, and walks into this empty barn, and
- 8:02Speaker 1: then she says to her sisters like, I'll see you
- 8:04Speaker 1: at home. So I think they did go fuck. At
- 8:06Speaker 1: the end of they take it, I think they go upset.
- 8:08Speaker 1: And then at that the last paragraph is her saying,
- 8:13Speaker 1: just at home, sitting around the fire, because now they're
- 8:15Speaker 1: back home.
- 8:16Speaker 2: I took it as Isaac was going to get married.
- 8:18Speaker 2: He's not married yet, and I don't know if they're
- 8:21Speaker 2: if engagement is a thing. Yes, So he's like, because
- 8:23Speaker 2: they do like families, like I'm going to marry Jake's
- 8:26Speaker 2: family because he has good sheep.
- 8:27Speaker 1: Yes. Yeah. And so Nesta, the bitch sister has a
- 8:31Speaker 1: boyfriend is a wood blogger. Apparently he's the woodcutter's son
- 8:35Speaker 1: and is apparently going to propose to Nesta. But Fayer
- 8:40Speaker 1: is kind of like, bitch, you have nothing to work
- 8:42Speaker 1: for his family. He is not going to propose to you.
- 8:44Speaker 1: He's just leading you on. Yeah.
- 8:46Speaker 2: No, he just wants that because she's apparently hot. Yeah,
- 8:48Speaker 2: she's supposed to be go looking.
- 8:49Speaker 1: They want that pussy. Yeah, he wants that's what the sister.
- 8:53Speaker 1: The game is the game in this book apparently, Yeah,
- 8:54Speaker 1: I know, and okay, okay, So initial impressions, I liked it,
- 9:00Speaker 1: very mystical, magical. Yeah, I have two more, okay, so
- 9:03Speaker 1: I'll read. So that was the Mortals and of the Perthian.
- 9:06Speaker 1: This is what we know. Who exists is the High Fae.
- 9:10Speaker 1: Not much said yet except that they're evil, wheeled, magic,
- 9:14Speaker 1: are unkillable, and pretty much just beast all around.
- 9:16Speaker 2: With the High Fray, they have that like magical barrier
- 9:19Speaker 2: so that the Mercenary was talking about it.
- 9:20Speaker 1: They're north of that wall. And then also the the
- 9:24Speaker 1: faiy believe or the fairy. They're monsters that live above
- 9:29Speaker 1: the wall. Seemingly the pets of the High pay very
- 9:32Speaker 1: very hard to kill. Now I believe far at the
- 9:39Speaker 1: start of the book, when she kills that wolf, it
- 9:42Speaker 1: was a fai. That's what I'm thinking we're going to
- 9:45Speaker 1: get into.
- 9:46Speaker 2: Okay, okay, okay, So I think Freira, you know how
- 9:50Speaker 2: she just sold the wolf pelts and wolf and deer.
- 9:54Speaker 1: Skin to the Mercenary.
- 9:56Speaker 2: Yeah, the Mercenary that beasts of the cheek with like scars,
- 9:58Speaker 2: I think Freyer is going to be I'm a mercenary.
- 10:02Speaker 1: That's my prediction. Yeah, that's what I think. And then
- 10:04Speaker 1: she's like, I don't know, do they hunt those magical
- 10:07Speaker 1: mystical beings? M Maybe that's my prediction. Okay, but I
- 10:12Speaker 1: don't know how she's gonna provide for the family while
- 10:14Speaker 1: doing that. Maybe she's gonna fuck off. I wouldn't blame
- 10:17Speaker 1: her seriously. Yeah, I also, okay, I'm going sharp left turn,
- 10:27Speaker 1: I reckon Freirol might have some same sex like funny
- 10:30Speaker 1: business in this. Oh okay, she's gonna do some exploring.
- 10:33Speaker 1: I like it. I like what I'm here, and I
- 10:35Speaker 1: love it all the way she described the mercenary like
- 10:38Speaker 1: the skin tone described the mercenary like it was turning
- 10:41Speaker 1: her on.
- 10:41Speaker 2: Yeah, the shade I was like, I was like, wait you.
- 10:47Speaker 2: But then she went and had sex with Isaac or
- 10:49Speaker 2: And she's also alluded to it.
- 10:50Speaker 1: She's like the same, she could be by, she could
- 10:53Speaker 1: be by. She's also she's the main provider for her family.
- 10:57Speaker 1: She goes out and hunts. Yeah, she goes out and
- 10:59Speaker 1: sells the pelts, the animal pelts to get money. She
- 11:02Speaker 1: does everything. Yeah, so she's kind so like she has.
- 11:05Speaker 1: Maybe that's some masculine energy as well. She's got a
- 11:08Speaker 1: lot to offer.
- 11:09Speaker 2: Yeah, and maybe some men can't realize it that the women.
- 11:13Speaker 1: Would like she's hot. You never do know she's hot. Man,
- 11:17Speaker 1: I'm not gonna lie. I'm like making Okay, I want
- 11:19Speaker 1: to read just for people that haven't read the book
- 11:21Speaker 1: and are thinking of reading the book. I want to
- 11:23Speaker 1: read just the last couple of words from the last
- 11:27Speaker 1: chapter that we read, last couple of words of chapter three,
- 11:29Speaker 1: which got me so keen to reach chapter four.
- 11:31Speaker 2: I was thinking about or maybe I'll reach chapter four,
- 11:33Speaker 2: and like, like, I just stopped my dialogue of talking
- 11:36Speaker 2: at chapter three because the cliffhanger.
- 11:38Speaker 1: Man, it's fucking Should I just read this?
- 11:40Speaker 5: Ah?
- 11:40Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, get like a feel for the dialogue they're
- 11:44Speaker 1: talking about. Later, after another dinner of venison, which is dear,
- 11:50Speaker 1: when we were all gathered around the fire for the
- 11:52Speaker 1: quiet hour before bed, I watched my sisters whispering and
- 11:56Speaker 1: laughing together. They'd spent every copper I'd given them on
- 12:00Speaker 1: what I didn't know though, Elaine had brought back a
- 12:03Speaker 1: new chisel for our father's wood carving. The cloak and
- 12:06Speaker 1: boots they'd wind about the night before had been too expensive,
- 12:09Speaker 1: but I hadn't scolded them for it, not when Nesta
- 12:11Speaker 1: went out a second time to chop wood without my asking. Mercifully,
- 12:16Speaker 1: they avoided another confrontation with the children of the Blest,
- 12:19Speaker 1: which we should say something about. After this, my father
- 12:22Speaker 1: was dozing in his armchair, his cane laid across his
- 12:25Speaker 1: gnarled knee. As good a time as any to broach
- 12:28Speaker 1: the subject of Thomas Mandry with Nesta. I turned to her,
- 12:32Speaker 1: opening my mouth, but there was a roar that half
- 12:35Speaker 1: deafened me and my sisters screamed as snow burst into
- 12:39Speaker 1: the room and an enormous, growling shape appeared in the doorway.
- 12:44Speaker 1: That's the end of chapter three, guys. The shape isn't
- 12:46Speaker 1: that fucking crazy? That's why I think she killed a
- 12:49Speaker 1: Fayory and like his mates are coming to get her
- 12:52Speaker 1: for it. I was gonna say, is it that mercenary
- 12:54Speaker 1: chick coming back? Oh? Shit? Is she that much of
- 12:57Speaker 1: a beast?
- 12:57Speaker 4: Though?
- 12:58Speaker 1: She's going to come back a or is she? I
- 13:00Speaker 1: want to teach you, is she a high fai and
- 13:02Speaker 1: their magic? Maybe? Or so you want to talk about
- 13:05Speaker 1: those kids who are way so yeah, what are they
- 13:06Speaker 1: called the Children of the Blessed? Yeah, it's kind of
- 13:09Speaker 1: like a real word situation in this village. There's these
- 13:12Speaker 1: there's a cult.
- 13:13Speaker 2: Like it's quite hard to conceptualize all the different terminologies.
- 13:16Speaker 2: In the start, I will say that, like only three
- 13:18Speaker 2: chapters in, I'm sure I'll get a swing of it.
- 13:20Speaker 2: Oh yeah, but yeah, they seemed annoying and like they're
- 13:22Speaker 2: trying to persuade people that the high Fay are actually good.
- 13:26Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, yeah, and you can like worship ship them
- 13:29Speaker 2: like gods or something.
- 13:30Speaker 1: Yeah yeah. And they were like, we sent our cousin
- 13:32Speaker 1: to the wall and she never returned. She's the bride
- 13:34Speaker 1: of one of the high Fay, and one of them
- 13:36Speaker 1: is like, bitch, she just got eaten. Yeah. That was
- 13:39Speaker 1: the one moment I liked. One of the sisters. Yeah,
- 13:41Speaker 1: say yeah, they were like, she's dead. Make have some sense.
- 13:44Speaker 1: It's funny because it's.
- 13:45Speaker 2: Obviously like written as though it's like I don't know,
- 13:48Speaker 2: seventeen or eighteen hundreds. Yeah, but then also some of
- 13:51Speaker 2: the dialogues like this, yeah, yeah, it's just chilling.
- 13:54Speaker 1: Yeah, it's chilling there. It's kind of funny, like bitch,
- 13:56Speaker 1: she's dead. Yeah, and so Thomas Mandre that that name
- 13:59Speaker 1: I just said he is, he's the woodcutter Sun so
- 14:01Speaker 1: FARH was going to ask her something about that, but
- 14:03Speaker 1: then we were interrupted. Okay, So for next episode, okay, yeah,
- 14:09Speaker 1: how many things? I read them? Quick? How many chapters
- 14:12Speaker 1: do you want? Five? Or ten? Let's do ten? Ten chapters?
- 14:17Speaker 1: Let's do ten? And what we need to do though
- 14:19Speaker 1: after each chapter is actually no, let's do this because
- 14:24Speaker 1: I think we need to do something to stay on
- 14:26Speaker 1: top of it is let's do seven chapters. Okay, just
- 14:29Speaker 1: one a day basically, all right, I mean, so should
- 14:32Speaker 1: we do if we do one tonight and then up
- 14:34Speaker 1: until to make it Monday night, just do ten? Okay,
- 14:38Speaker 1: we'll do ten chapters. After each chapter or after like
- 14:42Speaker 1: every two chapters or something, we need to just write
- 14:44Speaker 1: a couple of notes, sex of notes. It's a good idea,
- 14:46Speaker 1: just so we can.
- 14:47Speaker 2: Stay on top of it in our head. Yeah, because
- 14:48Speaker 2: we'll read a fair bit of stuff. So I saw
- 14:50Speaker 2: a lot of comments that were like, I'm gonna read
- 14:52Speaker 2: with you. So next episode will be up to chapter thirteen.
- 14:56Speaker 1: Yes, we will, we will be okay, yeah, ready, listen,
- 14:58Speaker 1: we will be up to chapter thirteen. Next episode, stay tuned.
- 15:01Speaker 1: That is book club. What do you do? Stop has stopped?
- 15:04Speaker 1: Like book closed? The book? Oh yeah wow, what a
- 15:10Speaker 1: good chapter.
- 15:19Speaker 4: Welcome to Relatables book Club, where we will buck on
- 15:23Speaker 4: a journey reading some of the finest pieces of literature.
- 15:27Speaker 1: If you have ever laid eyes by is if that's
- 15:30Speaker 1: your preferred way to consume a book, a courd of
- 15:33Speaker 1: thorns and roses. I love it. Let's go love it.
- 15:40Speaker 1: I do need to I do need to remember to
- 15:42Speaker 1: put Relatables Baddies book Club. And then at the end
- 15:44Speaker 1: of it, I think we'll leave it at that. And
- 15:47Speaker 1: because each time we read a new book, we'll just say, yeah,
- 15:49Speaker 1: I like I kind of liked it, Like it's not
- 15:52Speaker 1: like properly produced, okay, sweet, I kind of like it.
- 15:54Speaker 1: It's got Jake's personal catch Yeah yeah, relatable is bad.
- 16:00Speaker 1: His book club is back in sessions. As you guys know,
- 16:04Speaker 1: I need add The confession is I have gone one chapter
- 16:06Speaker 1: too far. Yeah, your dog, So I don't actually know
- 16:08Speaker 1: what I can say, and I don't know how much
- 16:09Speaker 1: information was in that last chapter. You cheated on me,
- 16:14Speaker 1: I did.
- 16:15Speaker 2: We're up to chapter thirteen, and for everyone reading along
- 16:20Speaker 2: with us. We welcome you to this session. So what
- 16:24Speaker 2: are our new thoughts and feelings on the book so far?
- 16:27Speaker 1: I'm obsessed, bro, really fucking obsessed. Oi I this book. Okay.
- 16:34Speaker 1: You know when you're watching it Netflix series and it's
- 16:37Speaker 1: getting late and the end of the episode has a cliffhanger,
- 16:41Speaker 1: and you're pissed because you have to watch another one
- 16:44Speaker 1: because you have to find out what happens right now.
- 16:46Speaker 1: You can't wait, you want to sleep. Otherwise, this book
- 16:48Speaker 1: loves a cliffhanger. This book, it's the equivalent feeling. I
- 16:52Speaker 1: never thought I feel this way about a book. Yeah,
- 16:55Speaker 1: of excitement to read the next chapter because of the
- 16:58Speaker 1: cliffhanger in the last Okay, okay, Jake, I'm going to
- 17:01Speaker 1: disagree with you here. Really this book's long that ten chapters.
- 17:05Speaker 1: Nothing happened, stop's happening? Nothing happened. Oh I'm loving it.
- 17:09Speaker 2: It was so slow like that, the first seven of them.
- 17:13Speaker 2: Slow slow, slow slow.
- 17:14Speaker 1: Slow burn slow burn. Yeah, yeah, very slow. I love
- 17:17Speaker 1: a slow burn? Really love?
- 17:19Speaker 2: Are you loving it so much because of what like
- 17:21Speaker 2: we've created with the Baddies book Club?
- 17:23Speaker 1: Or actually like the book? See here's the thing. It
- 17:26Speaker 1: doesn't matter. It doesn't matter. No, no, no, no, no,
- 17:29Speaker 1: fair fair fair, fair fair. I still I'm still enjoying it. Yeah, okay, good,
- 17:32Speaker 1: but definitely dissecting the book. It's long, Okay, no, it's wrong. Book.
- 17:35Speaker 1: It's very slow. I could have read twenty chapters. Freyer
- 17:41Speaker 1: is now in Fabra, is now in Prithian. Yeah, so
- 17:44Speaker 1: where we left off our predictions wrong? You were right
- 17:47Speaker 1: about how she killed a fairy. She did kill a fairy.
- 17:50Speaker 1: Yeah so. And it's also I was pronouncing it fairy
- 17:52Speaker 1: last week. It's fairy like actual fairy like, it's fairy.
- 17:55Speaker 2: She killed the fairy Andreas, Yes, that was dreas name,
- 18:00Speaker 2: and he was actually a high fay.
- 18:02Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 18:02Speaker 1: Damn.
- 18:03Speaker 2: And now she's in Prithian, and like the first like
- 18:10Speaker 2: seven chapters, is her just trying to like figure out
- 18:13Speaker 2: ways to like escape this press.
- 18:14Speaker 1: Well, okay, so she place is sick with the whole yeah, fact,
- 18:19Speaker 1: so with the whole Prithian and the mortal lands in
- 18:23Speaker 1: the wall with the treaty. There's a law that if
- 18:27Speaker 1: a mortal kills a high fay, maybe even a fairy, yeah,
- 18:31Speaker 1: kills one, then they have to give a life. And
- 18:36Speaker 1: the life you can give she could have given her
- 18:39Speaker 1: dad or one of her sisters, but she obviously chose
- 18:41Speaker 1: to go herself to save them. And so when we ended,
- 18:44Speaker 1: when you know, how were talking about the Cliffhanger at
- 18:45Speaker 1: the end of chapter three, how it was like this
- 18:47Speaker 1: massive beast and so it ends up being another high
- 18:50Speaker 1: Fay and he's a fucking weapon by the way, Tamlin Tamlin.
- 18:55Speaker 2: Yeah, oh my god. Well Tamlin actually wanted her because
- 19:00Speaker 2: she killed the she want she did want He did
- 19:02Speaker 2: want her, Yeah, but then he could she could have
- 19:05Speaker 2: sent someone else.
- 19:05Speaker 1: Yeah, but she goes, no, take me, and then yeah,
- 19:08Speaker 1: she wakes up and she's thinking. She keeps on going.
- 19:11Speaker 1: I don't know what I was thinking, but yeah, she's
- 19:14Speaker 1: in this. It sounds beautiful, it sounds amazing, Like, what
- 19:17Speaker 1: are you picturing? I'm picturing so because of what my
- 19:20Speaker 1: mind is thinking. So I'm picturing not so you know
- 19:26Speaker 1: in Lord of the Rings when oh, no, it's in
- 19:29Speaker 1: the Hobbit. I was thinking the Hobbit. So, you know,
- 19:30Speaker 1: in the Hobbit when they go to that Elvish city
- 19:33Speaker 1: and it's beautiful, So I'm thinking, it's as beautiful as that,
- 19:38Speaker 1: But it's not like a big castle type thing like that.
- 19:42Speaker 1: It's more of a manner. I'm thinking more grass, yeah, lots.
- 19:45Speaker 1: I just say it's more flat, but I'm on equivalent
- 19:48Speaker 1: as beautiful, That's what I'm thinking.
- 19:50Speaker 2: Yeah, and then interesting Lee the fairies, Tamlin and we
- 19:54Speaker 2: got introduced to Lucian.
- 19:56Speaker 1: Lucian. Do you say Lucian in your head? A Lucian,
- 19:58Speaker 1: I said, Lucian, Yeah, say Lucian to Lucian, Yeah, are
- 20:02Speaker 1: looking after prey right now? Well, Lucian originally goes, I
- 20:05Speaker 1: want to gut this bitch. Yeah. He's like, I want
- 20:08Speaker 1: to fucking gut you not allowed. Tamlin's not letting me.
- 20:10Speaker 2: Yeah, But Tamlin said, and this is where it ended.
- 20:13Speaker 2: She just overheard their conversation. And Tamlin's dad killed heaps
- 20:19Speaker 2: of mortals before, Yes, and he doesn't want to be
- 20:22Speaker 2: like his dad.
- 20:23Speaker 1: He's the thing though, I think he did want to
- 20:25Speaker 1: be like his dad until he met Favor. Because Lucian's going,
- 20:28Speaker 1: why are you veering off our path? And he goes,
- 20:31Speaker 1: that was my dad's path. I will not be like him,
- 20:34Speaker 1: and I think it's because of Favor. He keeps on
- 20:37Speaker 1: saying stuff like you're not what I would have thought
- 20:39Speaker 1: as a human.
- 20:39Speaker 2: Yeah, And she keeps like complimenting, like, how do you
- 20:41Speaker 2: learn to hunt and chair? You can't even fucking rite.
- 20:44Speaker 1: And he always is sounding like very impressed. He goes,
- 20:47Speaker 1: so you just taught yourself to hunt? Yeah, and she's like, yeah,
- 20:52Speaker 1: I needed to survive, don't you know what that's like? Yeah, privilege.
- 20:57Speaker 1: It sort of sounded like him, Yeah, Yeah, here's the
- 21:01Speaker 1: thing that's pissing me off of favor, right. She keeps
- 21:03Speaker 1: on talking about she's preferring to be friends with Lucian. Yeah,
- 21:06Speaker 1: but she only wants to be friends with Lucian to
- 21:08Speaker 1: get to Tamlin because she wants to try and get
- 21:10Speaker 1: someone to convince Hamlin to let her go home. And
- 21:12Speaker 1: he's like, no, there's a why does she want to
- 21:14Speaker 1: go home by they're looking after her family. Jane. I
- 21:16Speaker 1: keep on thinking that, But then at the same time,
- 21:17Speaker 1: I'm thinking if I got taken, even if it was
- 21:18Speaker 1: a nice player, it's like, oh my family, fuck that.
- 21:21Speaker 1: They were fucked anyway, they were annoying. She also he
- 21:24Speaker 1: got her good with manipulation, because she ends up talking
- 21:28Speaker 1: about how she feels as though she's not fililling her
- 21:31Speaker 1: mother's promise anymore, He goes, but you are, Yeah, that
- 21:33Speaker 1: was good by being here. You are because your family
- 21:35Speaker 1: is alive. Because of that, they're providable and I am
- 21:38Speaker 1: taking care of them. And also fairies can't lie, so
- 21:41Speaker 1: they must be being taken care of. I want her
- 21:43Speaker 1: to go try and.
- 21:43Speaker 2: Find him, though I'm keen ass Yeah all right, So
- 21:47Speaker 2: what do you want the next predictions? Or we actually
- 21:49Speaker 2: have a few new like what would they be called?
- 21:53Speaker 2: The bog and the Pookah.
- 21:54Speaker 1: Yeah, so the Pooka tried to Actually, here's one thing
- 21:57Speaker 1: actually I just want to say about Favor and Tamlin
- 22:01Speaker 1: is I just want Fara to come out and admit
- 22:04Speaker 1: that she wants to be railed by Tamlin. Do you
- 22:06Speaker 1: reckon that's what's gonna happen. Yes, for some reason in
- 22:08Speaker 1: my head, like I'm picturing she's so small and these
- 22:11Speaker 1: two are like giants. See I was picturing that too,
- 22:14Speaker 1: But I think it's more I've really tried to shift
- 22:18Speaker 1: they actually when he because Tamlin's the only one that
- 22:20Speaker 1: can shape shift. But then he could also like he
- 22:22Speaker 1: could turn Lucian into a wolf or a fox or
- 22:26Speaker 1: something if he wanted to. And the reason Andres was
- 22:28Speaker 1: a wolf is because Tamlin turned me into a wolf. Yeah,
- 22:31Speaker 1: so Tamlin has he's like powerful as fuck and so
- 22:34Speaker 1: but I think but it's purely because Tamlin is the
- 22:36Speaker 1: main character and he's the one that's kind of trying
- 22:40Speaker 1: to get connected with Farr, but she's like, go away,
- 22:42Speaker 1: and then every time she goes. He turned around and
- 22:44Speaker 1: the muscles shown in his shirt. I was like, just
- 22:46Speaker 1: just say you wanted to rail you. What do you
- 22:51Speaker 1: think is gonna happen? I don't know, hard to tell.
- 22:55Speaker 1: I don't think they're gonna fuck. I do I think that.
- 22:58Speaker 1: I think fear and Tamlin, I think that it's going
- 23:02Speaker 1: to be a thing that I feel like they become
- 23:04Speaker 1: a couple. But mortals and fairies, it will be frowned upon,
- 23:08Speaker 1: but they will become a couple. But also there's a
- 23:11Speaker 1: point in the book where in these chapters where what
- 23:16Speaker 1: does Lucian talk about. He's talking to Fearrah and it's
- 23:21Speaker 1: it's when they run into the Bogue, which we'll touch on,
- 23:24Speaker 1: but he starts talking to her and the bog Bogue's
- 23:28Speaker 1: probably whatever you yeah, I'll say, bog I he says
- 23:32Speaker 1: something he's talking, and then he goes, He gets all
- 23:36Speaker 1: like mysterious and goes, I can't say that she'll I
- 23:39Speaker 1: can't have her know I'm telling you this or something.
- 23:41Speaker 1: So I think there might be someone even higher up
- 23:43Speaker 1: than Tamlin, and it's a it's a woman of and
- 23:47Speaker 1: there's in Prithian. Farra said that she knows there is
- 23:51Speaker 1: seven high lords, and Tamlin is just a high faye
- 23:55Speaker 1: high fairy. I don't know.
- 23:57Speaker 2: I think okay, he's my prediction. I think Tamlin and
- 24:02Speaker 2: Freira will not get together, but Tamlin will pick her
- 24:07Speaker 2: over Lucien and Lucian will go in his separate ways.
- 24:11Speaker 1: Oh okay, Lucian's just gonna get pissed. Yeah, okay, I
- 24:15Speaker 1: don't know.
- 24:16Speaker 2: And then like way way way down the track, they'll fuck,
- 24:19Speaker 2: but they're not gonna fuck for ages. I think they're
- 24:21Speaker 2: just gonna be like bff who can't admit their feelings
- 24:23Speaker 2: for each other. Okay, that's my pretty interesting I disagree. Really,
- 24:28Speaker 2: you reckon there's just gonna be a sexy scene.
- 24:30Speaker 1: I reckon. I think there won't be a sexy scene
- 24:36Speaker 1: for about twenty chapters. But I do think that we're
- 24:40Speaker 1: gonna start seeing Fayr admit that she just wants to
- 24:44Speaker 1: get digged down by Tamlin. She's gonna keep talking about
- 24:47Speaker 1: his muscles. She's gonna keep talking about that golden hair
- 24:49Speaker 1: and that piercing eye, and she's gonna I hope.
- 24:52Speaker 2: She stops thinking of all these ideas to like run
- 24:54Speaker 2: away and kill someone.
- 24:55Speaker 1: I'm like, you're not killing anyone. Think that I think
- 24:58Speaker 1: she will, But I do think that she's going to
- 25:01Speaker 1: go and try to find someone. There's different. So there's
- 25:06Speaker 1: the Bogue and the Pookah. We'll talk about them quickly,
- 25:09Speaker 1: but there was one more. There's one more, the person,
- 25:11Speaker 1: which is kind of like a really old person or
- 25:15Speaker 1: a really old fairy that has a lot of knowledge
- 25:17Speaker 1: about the sickness that's on Prithian. Oh yeah, there's a
- 25:20Speaker 1: sickness on Prithian. We've got to say that they might
- 25:22Speaker 1: bitch up to fourteen. Okay, I haven't read that. No,
- 25:25Speaker 1: you did, you have?
- 25:26Speaker 2: Yeah, they just alluded to there's heaps of weird things
- 25:29Speaker 2: going on on his like manner.
- 25:30Speaker 1: Yeah, no, that they talked about that. You must have.
- 25:34Speaker 1: You must have just missed it, because they definitely talked
- 25:35Speaker 1: about that before chapter thirteen. Okay, but there's like a
- 25:38Speaker 1: thing called like the blight or something on Prithian and
- 25:42Speaker 1: it the reason that their masks, or the all the
- 25:46Speaker 1: high fay and the fairies have masks when they're in
- 25:48Speaker 1: human forms stuck to their face is because back in
- 25:52Speaker 1: the day they had a party. Because they're all immortal,
- 25:55Speaker 1: they don't die. Yeah, just back in the day they
- 25:57Speaker 1: had a party and the party was a esquerade party.
- 26:01Speaker 1: And then that's when the sickness fell on Prithian. And
- 26:05Speaker 1: one of the things that the sickness did was made us.
- 26:06Speaker 1: So these masks don't come off their face. Yeah, it's
- 26:09Speaker 1: kind of cool. This would be a sick movie, is it.
- 26:12Speaker 1: It's new. It's relatively he said, relatively new. This becomes
- 26:16Speaker 1: a show, bro, I have no idea it should be. Well,
- 26:18Speaker 1: it's so successful. I'm in that if it's a show.
- 26:21Speaker 2: I was thinking when I was reading it, this would
- 26:22Speaker 2: be so much better as a TV series.
- 26:24Speaker 1: I would love to watch it be sick. It's so intricate. Yeah,
- 26:27Speaker 1: but who's the bog? The bogue is you can't look
- 26:31Speaker 1: at them. They get in your head. And Tamlin's just
- 26:33Speaker 1: kill one and hurt his hand. Yeah, so yeah, when
- 26:36Speaker 1: they're out hunting, Lucian and Fayra goes for a hunt
- 26:39Speaker 1: with Lucian because it was actually Andres Andreas's shift, but
- 26:43Speaker 1: she killed Andres, and so she's out hunting and then
- 26:49Speaker 1: Lucian just goes stop like just look ahead and don't
- 26:52Speaker 1: move your eyes. And then she starts hearing these voices
- 26:54Speaker 1: and this cold air around her and these voices, and
- 26:57Speaker 1: then it finally goes away and she goes, what was
- 26:59Speaker 1: that and he said it was a bow. You were
- 27:01Speaker 1: to have made eye contact or look, that's when it
- 27:03Speaker 1: can turn into an actual being and kill you. And
- 27:05Speaker 1: then he goes to dinner and says to Tamila, I'm like, oh,
- 27:07Speaker 1: in the Westwards there was a bogue and Tamilon gets
- 27:10Speaker 1: all pissed and just goes and chases after it. And
- 27:12Speaker 1: because Lucian says to Farah earlier that they're unkillable, and
- 27:14Speaker 1: then she goes to Lucian, well, where's Tamlin going. And
- 27:16Speaker 1: then he goes, he's going to kill the boat and
- 27:18Speaker 1: she was like, oh my god, well where she had
- 27:20Speaker 1: Fanny flatters the strongest being she's ever seen. Yeah, yeah
- 27:25Speaker 1: that after he kills the boat.
- 27:26Speaker 2: Yeah, and then the pooka came out at night and
- 27:30Speaker 2: they trap you in your own desire. She started seeing
- 27:32Speaker 2: her dad yep, and then she saw like her sisters
- 27:35Speaker 2: and then they just turned back into just like a bow,
- 27:38Speaker 2: and then there was nothing.
- 27:38Speaker 1: And then now that's when Tamlin goes, what are you doing?
- 27:41Speaker 1: Use your brain? Use your brain? You didiot? Obviously they're
- 27:44Speaker 1: not here, and she's like, what do you expect me
- 27:46Speaker 1: to do? It was my dad and my sisters that
- 27:49Speaker 1: you stole me from. Your dad doesn't ever need fuck
- 27:51Speaker 1: me already Jesus, all right, all right? And ranking for
- 27:57Speaker 1: that chapter I was in, they's did I'm saying that
- 28:01Speaker 1: range of chapters is a seven seven. I was gonna
- 28:04Speaker 1: say six and a halfs Okay, there you go. Yeah,
- 28:06Speaker 1: because I'm just expecting better. That's why I say seven.
- 28:08Speaker 2: I'm expecting a lot more to happen. Yeah, because of
- 28:10Speaker 2: all the comments on our videos, and I was like.
- 28:11Speaker 1: This is so good. People keep saying you just wait
- 28:13Speaker 1: book two. So I'm like, maybe my expectations are so
- 28:16Speaker 1: high now because everyone's like this is going to be
- 28:18Speaker 1: so good. Someone said book two is going to change
- 28:19Speaker 1: our line. Yeah, and I'm just like when's it going
- 28:22Speaker 1: to happen? So I don't know. I'm into it. What
- 28:25Speaker 1: chapter are we reading next? Can we finish it? Do
- 28:31Speaker 1: you want to do ten again? Or more fifteen? What
- 28:37Speaker 1: if we do fifteen too many? We can go it's
- 28:39Speaker 1: wrap the chapter thirteen. What if we go to my
- 28:41Speaker 1: actually chapter fourteen? If we go to thirty, okay, yeah
- 28:44Speaker 1: that's seventeen. Yeah, chapter thirty? Yeah, yes, chapter thirty. So
- 28:48Speaker 1: you know what you need to do is actually definitely
- 28:49Speaker 1: do the no phone on the weekend and then just
- 28:52Speaker 1: read the whole way ten Yeah, okay, everybody heard that
- 28:56Speaker 1: chapter thirty, chapter thirty. You know what to do. Welcome
- 29:05Speaker 1: back to the Relatables Baddies book Club. Jake, we are
- 29:10Speaker 1: up to chapter thirty. Yes, we've been reading, haven't we,
- 29:14Speaker 1: bro We have been.
- 29:15Speaker 2: Reading, and I don't know where to start. I think
- 29:20Speaker 2: the first thing to say is this book has turned up.
- 29:24Speaker 1: This book has I didn't even know My life has
- 29:33Speaker 1: one eighty flipped and I'm a fantasy guy. I wrote juicy.
- 29:38Speaker 1: That's it. That's all. It explains it so well. Juice.
- 29:40Speaker 1: It's like orange juice. I'm just gone back for more more.
- 29:42Speaker 1: Leghit it's so freshly squeezed full of pulp. That's what
- 29:46Speaker 1: it is. So much. Where do you want to start? Okay?
- 29:49Speaker 1: I think we just start from where we left off.
- 29:51Speaker 1: So we left off where we were from chapter three
- 29:54Speaker 1: to thirteen, and now we've gone from thirteen to thirty. Fuck,
- 29:58Speaker 1: there are so much in information, bro. Okay, Okay, it's
- 30:02Speaker 1: a lot to get through. The first of all, I'm obsessed. Yeah,
- 30:07Speaker 1: You've always been a sad and you and now I'm obsessed. Yes.
- 30:10Speaker 2: Chapter twenty seven to thirty is like, okay, this is gonna.
- 30:14Speaker 1: Change my life. He's fuck bro, Okay, we left off
- 30:19Speaker 1: where Favra she catches the surreal. Yeah, I think the
- 30:23Speaker 1: cereal is he pronounce it basically. So she goes out.
- 30:27Speaker 1: Lucian fucking tells her how it sounds like so long ago.
- 30:29Speaker 1: Now it sounds like a year ago, bro, because of
- 30:33Speaker 1: the development. Okay, she goes she catches the cereal, and
- 30:38Speaker 1: he's kind of like, this ugly fucking thing catches him
- 30:42Speaker 1: in a snare, right, And so she's all shit in
- 30:45Speaker 1: her pants and that this thin could kill her and
- 30:47Speaker 1: for some reason, it's just being nice. She starts asking questions,
- 30:50Speaker 1: would I have to catch it? With like a chicken
- 30:52Speaker 1: and shit, yeah, you feel like a dead chicken out
- 30:54Speaker 1: and then yeah, they can't run over water. Yeah, so
- 30:58Speaker 1: she needed a creak nearby, so he he somehow got loose.
- 31:00Speaker 1: She could run to the creek and he can't get her,
- 31:02Speaker 1: and I reckon that was a lie, by the way.
- 31:04Speaker 1: But so she starts asking all these questions about the blight.
- 31:09Speaker 1: So you're up to date with the blight now right now,
- 31:11Speaker 1: it's just fucking ship up in there. So she's asking
- 31:15Speaker 1: questions because she actually really wants to know just to
- 31:17Speaker 1: keep the Immortal Lands safe. And so she's out there
- 31:22Speaker 1: asking questions and then he's not really giving like definite answers.
- 31:26Speaker 1: All he's saying is and that goes crazy here because
- 31:29Speaker 1: at this point she's like, I'm with Tamlin the High Fairy,
- 31:32Speaker 1: blah blah blah. He goes He's like I sent you.
- 31:36Speaker 1: I don't know he knew she was there, and he's
- 31:38Speaker 1: just like, all you need to know is you just
- 31:39Speaker 1: need to stay with the high Lord. Yeah, and she goes,
- 31:42Speaker 1: hi lord, yeah, yeah, she goes Town's a fucking highlaw.
- 31:45Speaker 1: She starts creamy. I was like, I was like, what
- 31:48Speaker 1: save a couple of times sitting up and I'm like,
- 31:52Speaker 1: it's like I'm watching a show that's getting intense, and
- 31:54Speaker 1: I'm sitting up and I start reading like that, like
- 31:55Speaker 1: did I read that right? Yeah? I normally read wrong,
- 31:57Speaker 1: Like Tamlin is one of the seven high Lords of Prithian. Yeah,
- 32:02Speaker 1: this motherfucker keeps coming out with surprises. So from there,
- 32:09Speaker 1: these shit starts happening. From there where she can hear something.
- 32:13Speaker 1: She can hear like stuff in the forest and a
- 32:16Speaker 1: big roar, and the surreal knows what's coming, and he's saying,
- 32:20Speaker 1: you've got to let me go. And I don't remember
- 32:22Speaker 1: what they were called, these these beasts that they started
- 32:25Speaker 1: a and I know, yeah, everyone knows. There was like
- 32:29Speaker 1: three or four of them. Yeah, there was like three
- 32:32Speaker 1: or four of these things that she said were serpent like.
- 32:34Speaker 1: But it's gonna be fuck. I can't. I'm not gonna
- 32:36Speaker 1: go look in the book and find them. But I'm sorry.
- 32:38Speaker 1: They're in the woods and they started chasing it. Basically
- 32:41Speaker 1: they are from a different realm, yeah, and they could
- 32:45Speaker 1: tell that the curial was there and they could also
- 32:47Speaker 1: probably spell her, And so they get there and they
- 32:49Speaker 1: start like hissing and being like blah blah blah, she's
- 32:52Speaker 1: shit in her pants. She gets between, she gets she
- 32:54Speaker 1: stands behind the cereal and they start coming. And then
- 32:57Speaker 1: the Cereal's begging, begging, begging. He's like, stay the high wood,
- 33:00Speaker 1: you've got to let me go, Let me go, let
- 33:01Speaker 1: me go. She shoots the snare and apparently he just
- 33:04Speaker 1: vanishes into dust. And now she's just alone with these
- 33:06Speaker 1: fucking things and just ship breaks hell breaks loose. Yeah,
- 33:09Speaker 1: she start running, She does running, and she does running.
- 33:11Speaker 1: She first of all kills one beast by the way,
- 33:14Speaker 1: Favor is an animal, kills one. They're like grabbing her
- 33:17Speaker 1: and she's still run, still running, falling over it. She
- 33:20Speaker 1: kills one. Runs, they start going, they start laughing. I
- 33:23Speaker 1: don't even know. Lucian was meant to be doing his rounds,
- 33:26Speaker 1: and she's like, where is this man? That is why
- 33:28Speaker 1: she left. Lucian did say he did. He mentioned if
- 33:33Speaker 1: she screams or something that he'll be there, and so
- 33:35Speaker 1: in her head she's going, oh, so she does if
- 33:38Speaker 1: I keep running, If I keep running, she screat Lucian
- 33:42Speaker 1: doesn't come, you know, getting flanked, getting flanked, someone grabs her,
- 33:49Speaker 1: turns around. She has a knife, she kills another one,
- 33:52Speaker 1: and then she's breaking loose though they've got her, they're
- 33:54Speaker 1: about to kill her. And then she hears a fucking
- 33:56Speaker 1: terrifying raw. You'll never guess who it is. Who is it? Hamlin?
- 34:01Speaker 1: She goes, I saw those golden locks. He's everywhere. He
- 34:04Speaker 1: tears them to shreds, bro shreds. And then basically she's
- 34:10Speaker 1: just all fucked like they actually kind of sucked her
- 34:12Speaker 1: up a bit. Yeah, yeah, and yeah Temlin Tamlin chairsman
- 34:16Speaker 1: just reads and then they go back and I kind
- 34:19Speaker 1: of like forget so timeline wise, right, it went a
- 34:23Speaker 1: little bit slower from then on, it got slow, went
- 34:25Speaker 1: really slow. He saves her life. They start really bonding
- 34:29Speaker 1: from after this. After that, they start really bond. Yeah,
- 34:32Speaker 1: they start going out on like pen so yes, because
- 34:36Speaker 1: he says, what were you doing out here? And then
- 34:39Speaker 1: she said, I think she admits to going to catch
- 34:43Speaker 1: a cereal and he says, what did he tell you?
- 34:45Speaker 1: And she said nothing, I never got that far. And
- 34:48Speaker 1: then they're at dinner and just came out. And then
- 34:51Speaker 1: at dinner he says something. She goes, okay, high lord, Yeah,
- 34:54Speaker 1: he doesn't think that she knows yet that he's a
- 34:56Speaker 1: high lord, and he goes on, didn't get anything from
- 34:59Speaker 1: a cereal? Huh, And she's like, fuck it close to you,
- 35:05Speaker 1: I love the most flat So okay, basically I Fara
- 35:11Speaker 1: nearly dies and then okay, they're a bit more friends. Now.
- 35:16Speaker 1: She's in bed one night and she hears a screaming
- 35:21Speaker 1: from outside coming in and Tamlin carries in a fairy
- 35:25Speaker 1: from a different realm and it's full, just losing the
- 35:28Speaker 1: blood blood, and it keeps them saying, she took my wings.
- 35:31Speaker 1: We hear this she again in the there's a she
- 35:35Speaker 1: in the those other chapters we've read and there's a she.
- 35:39Speaker 1: She took my wings. She's all he's saying is she
- 35:41Speaker 1: took my wings. She took my wings and gets put
- 35:43Speaker 1: on the table. Lucian comes over, he vomits because he's
- 35:46Speaker 1: a pussy, and then is there holding this fairy's hand.
- 35:50Speaker 1: Tamlin's doing his best, but his magic can't heal him
- 35:54Speaker 1: because of the blyd. He used to be able to
- 35:55Speaker 1: do it with these, but now he can't heal these
- 35:57Speaker 1: type of things and it dies, unfortunately. So from there
- 36:01Speaker 1: that was that was another major bonding moment between Tamlin
- 36:04Speaker 1: and Farah, and while the fairies dying, they still think
- 36:10Speaker 1: she hates fairies, and she's holding its hand up until
- 36:13Speaker 1: it dies, and Tamlin she he walks her back up
- 36:17Speaker 1: to her room and she says like he says, he's
- 36:21Speaker 1: like all upset, and he just goes like, Farah, I
- 36:23Speaker 1: just gonna ask you one thing. Why did you you
- 36:26Speaker 1: hate fairies? Why did you do that? And she just
- 36:29Speaker 1: is like, oh, I would if I was dying, I'd
- 36:31Speaker 1: want someone to hold my hand. And so he's just
- 36:33Speaker 1: like all these things are happening that's making him. She's
- 36:35Speaker 1: like love favor, yeah, just fit obsessed with her, right,
- 36:38Speaker 1: and he starts to see himself in her the way
- 36:42Speaker 1: that she had to do all this stuff growing up, right,
- 36:44Speaker 1: And then from there, I'm pretty sure she's finally coming
- 36:46Speaker 1: to terms with the fact she's never leaving. Yeah, So
- 36:49Speaker 1: she starts painting, and she's she.
- 36:51Speaker 2: Starts to come out of her skin, which Tamlin sees
- 36:54Speaker 2: and starts to appreciate. Yes, she starts painting. Tamlin shows
- 36:58Speaker 2: her like all that cool all like walkway of all
- 37:01Speaker 2: the different type of fairy art and stuff, and then
- 37:03Speaker 2: he's just doing her thing panning all the fucking sex
- 37:05Speaker 2: scenes she's gonna have with Tamlin in the future.
- 37:08Speaker 1: Right, And then so they there comes a point where
- 37:13Speaker 1: they're out in the garden and Tamlin he's got all
- 37:16Speaker 1: these like crazy sixth senses, right, and he like growls
- 37:19Speaker 1: and he says, hide, don't come out. She's in a
- 37:21Speaker 1: bush and Lucien and Tamlin are standing there and just
- 37:25Speaker 1: some figure appears and starts talking to them, and it's
- 37:28Speaker 1: again talking about she like she won't like this, she
- 37:32Speaker 1: won't like that. She's blah blah blah, and Tamlin's like,
- 37:35Speaker 1: leave us a fuck alone. And it was called the Atour,
- 37:38Speaker 1: the att atur or something like that. And he is
- 37:42Speaker 1: or they are from the night realm. And so basically
- 37:49Speaker 1: after that he they didn't know like that thing didn't
- 37:51Speaker 1: see fair oh the human And then from that, where
- 37:55Speaker 1: when does he release the glamour that was over her eyes?
- 37:59Speaker 1: And now she probably she sees Priythian for what it
- 38:02Speaker 1: is because she actually was just seeing she thought that
- 38:05Speaker 1: they went to have a picnic.
- 38:06Speaker 2: And then they're talking about the night sky or he
- 38:07Speaker 2: can make he can make the water look like the
- 38:09Speaker 2: night sky or something.
- 38:10Speaker 1: Something like that, so yeah, he is starting to trust
- 38:14Speaker 1: her more. And they're at this picnic because they're all
- 38:16Speaker 1: becoming really good friends, and she's just like falling in
- 38:19Speaker 1: love and he's falling in love and Lucian's just there,
- 38:21Speaker 1: just like kind of laughing at them, like you guys
- 38:22Speaker 1: just need to fuck already. And then they're over at
- 38:26Speaker 1: this pond having a picnic and Lucian leaves and Tamlin goes, oh,
- 38:31Speaker 1: the willows are singing, and she goes, you're off your head?
- 38:35Speaker 1: Are you hallucinating? And he's like no, seriously, like you
- 38:38Speaker 1: don't understand. I've been hiding this from you, just so
- 38:43Speaker 1: your mortal mind could understand, like you wouldn't just explode.
- 38:48Speaker 1: And he goes and she goes, show me, and he's like,
- 38:51Speaker 1: that's fair. We don't give stuff out for free. She
- 38:54Speaker 1: little kiss something. He said something like, I gotta get
- 38:59Speaker 1: something back. Yeah, are gonna getta. I thought they were
- 39:04Speaker 1: going to suck that in there, bro. I thought we
- 39:07Speaker 1: were done for the way this book teases you and
- 39:10Speaker 1: gets you so ready for them to smash. And I
- 39:12Speaker 1: was ready for it the same, bro. I was ready
- 39:15Speaker 1: because oh my god. And then basically he releases the
- 39:18Speaker 1: glamour and it's amazing. And so then the next day
- 39:21Speaker 1: she wakes up and he's released the glamour on everything,
- 39:24Speaker 1: and so she's wigging out because she wakes up and
- 39:27Speaker 1: usually the slave belly Alice is waking her up and
- 39:32Speaker 1: getting her ready, but there's this bird lady with bark skin.
- 39:35Speaker 1: She goes, what's going on, where's Alice? And Alice is like,
- 39:38Speaker 1: you fucking joken, shut up? And so she's realized that
- 39:40Speaker 1: he's released like the glamour, and she goes to what
- 39:43Speaker 1: it is. She goes to the halls and there's fairy everywhere.
- 39:46Speaker 1: She gets in the kitchen and she's wigging out or
- 39:48Speaker 1: into the into the dining room and they're like, what's
- 39:50Speaker 1: up and she's like, it's busy, and Lucian laughs and
- 39:54Speaker 1: he goes, they've been. She thought it was an empty manner.
- 39:58Speaker 1: He's like, they've been in the whole, and so she goes, so,
- 40:01Speaker 1: you mean when the Pooka, when I followed the Pooka,
- 40:04Speaker 1: he was like, oh, yeah, you had an audience. She
- 40:08Speaker 1: was like, fuck, I'm an idiot. So that's why Tamlin
- 40:11Speaker 1: went out and got her. Okay, now from there, where
- 40:17Speaker 1: are we Can we jump? They hang out a bit more,
- 40:19Speaker 1: their connection gets really strong. Can we jump to Fine Night? Yeah,
- 40:22Speaker 1: we'll go Fine Okay, Where where is Finite? The one
- 40:26Speaker 1: where Tamlin told her not to come to Yes, Finite's crazy. Yeah.
- 40:31Speaker 1: And then she's like, I've got it. I hate how
- 40:33Speaker 1: she always dis abasing what say, so do I? He's
- 40:37Speaker 1: always looking at for her. She's like, no, I've got it.
- 40:39Speaker 1: She doesn't understand the volume of her fucking actions. Okay,
- 40:44Speaker 1: he understands, he says. She sees all these things being
- 40:47Speaker 1: set up, and she's like, what's happening? He says, Tonight's
- 40:49Speaker 1: fire night, he says, and you're not invited. Yeah. Yeah,
- 40:54Speaker 1: it was fucking roasting her and you're not invited. And
- 40:58Speaker 1: so basically she they Fine Nite comes to Fruition. She's
- 41:07Speaker 1: out in the halls after being told to stay in
- 41:09Speaker 1: her room, and Tamlin's there in like kind of warrior
- 41:13Speaker 1: gear and the whole thing of Fine Night. Of what
- 41:15Speaker 1: it is. He hasn't really told her yet, but he
- 41:18Speaker 1: said there's this big tradition where they basically he like
- 41:23Speaker 1: gathers all the magic of the lands and disperses it
- 41:25Speaker 1: or something like that. Right. He doesn't say how it
- 41:27Speaker 1: happens though, and so she doesn't really understand like the
- 41:30Speaker 1: volume of this fucking night, this fuck and so it's insane.
- 41:34Speaker 1: And he says to her, like, get back into your room.
- 41:37Speaker 1: Lock the doors, do not come out, Do not let
- 41:40Speaker 1: anyone in. There is fairies here from all these other places.
- 41:42Speaker 1: I cannot keep you safe out there. Stay in your room.
- 41:45Speaker 1: He runs off, Yeah, looking majestic as ever, right, gold Yes,
- 41:51Speaker 1: And so then she starts talking about she's in her
- 41:53Speaker 1: room and the drums and the Fine Night just overcome
- 41:56Speaker 1: her body, like and they overcome her body and she's
- 42:01Speaker 1: talking and she's like, I can't fucking say it here.
- 42:03Speaker 1: This bitch goes to fire Night. Yeah, insane. She's hiding there,
- 42:08Speaker 1: so she said, fine eye. She's like walking around and
- 42:10Speaker 1: everyone's just like you can tell her all, just like maggot.
- 42:13Speaker 1: They're all drunk, different types of fairyes, some with masks,
- 42:16Speaker 1: some without. So she knows that this fairies from other
- 42:18Speaker 1: realms because the Spring realm, the Spring Court, was the
- 42:21Speaker 1: only realm where the masks were because they were having
- 42:23Speaker 1: a masquerade party the night the blight hit. So she's there,
- 42:28Speaker 1: she's getting knocked around. No one's really recognizing her, no
- 42:31Speaker 1: one's seeing that she's not a fairy. But then she
- 42:34Speaker 1: gets grabbed by this group of three fairies and she's
- 42:38Speaker 1: shit in her pants and they're talking about how much
- 42:40Speaker 1: fun they're going to have whether when this is over,
- 42:42Speaker 1: and she thinks they're talking about like dissecting her and
- 42:45Speaker 1: killing her and all that stuff, right, And then next
- 42:48Speaker 1: thing she knows, there's a figure behind her and these
- 42:52Speaker 1: three fairies they're like shitting bricks. Turns around and she's
- 42:59Speaker 1: like explaining that she sees the most handsome looking man
- 43:05Speaker 1: she has ever seen in her life. He had this
- 43:09Speaker 1: aura about him, wearing all black, is soft on the eye,
- 43:12Speaker 1: black air. He was something to look at. These are
- 43:16Speaker 1: the fairies shit bricks. Yeah, She's kind of like, what okay,
- 43:20Speaker 1: And then he starts talking to like, human, I haven't
- 43:22Speaker 1: seen one of your kind in a while, and we
- 43:24Speaker 1: don't know who this is yet. No, we don't know
- 43:27Speaker 1: who this is yet, but we do. Are you doing it?
- 43:29Speaker 1: Oh god? And then and so then she's kind of
- 43:33Speaker 1: wigging out and he's kind of just being like, what
- 43:36Speaker 1: are you doing here? How'd you get in? You know,
- 43:38Speaker 1: you shouldn't be here what's going on? But if you're
- 43:42Speaker 1: I think he kind of implies as well, like if
- 43:44Speaker 1: you're here at the end, right, it's like, okay, stay safe,
- 43:50Speaker 1: stay far away from here. And so then she goes
- 43:53Speaker 1: back into like there's a big cave and the fire
- 43:56Speaker 1: night's going on, the drums going, and she goes back.
- 43:58Speaker 1: She disobeys this guy as well, and then she's in
- 44:00Speaker 1: this line with all these fairies and something's about to
- 44:03Speaker 1: happen right across the fucking road. Loosen spots her next thing.
- 44:07Speaker 1: You know, I do think he's a beast by the way,
- 44:08Speaker 1: because this happens, and she goes in the blink of
- 44:10Speaker 1: an eye, he was behind her, picks her up like
- 44:13Speaker 1: she's nothing, runs back to the house, sits odin. He says,
- 44:17Speaker 1: what the fuck are you doing and explains what fine
- 44:19Speaker 1: eye is. Tamlin gets juiced up by all the magic
- 44:24Speaker 1: in the lands, by the other fucking high lords or
- 44:25Speaker 1: some shit, runs into a cave and fucks some fairy,
- 44:31Speaker 1: has like sweet sweet sex with another fairy, and he says,
- 44:35Speaker 1: I have to get you out of there. You have
- 44:36Speaker 1: to stay here. This broke my heart as well. I
- 44:39Speaker 1: have to run back because of what he goes, I'm
- 44:42Speaker 1: telling you right now, it's not the Tamlin. You know,
- 44:44Speaker 1: when he's in this state, it is not the Tamlin.
- 44:47Speaker 1: You know. I have to run back right now because
- 44:49Speaker 1: when he smells you that you were there, he will
- 44:51Speaker 1: look for you, and you do not want him to
- 44:54Speaker 1: see you. So she goes back and then she's like
- 44:58Speaker 1: in bed, she can't sleep, and then finally she hears
- 45:01Speaker 1: something out in the hall. She goes out, who is it, Tamila.
- 45:07Speaker 2: And he's it sounded like he was drunk. It was like,
- 45:10Speaker 2: what's what's We don't know the effects. It's sort of
- 45:12Speaker 2: like a something that depicts something in real life. Yeah,
- 45:15Speaker 2: it's like a drunk guy coming back to his girl friend.
- 45:17Speaker 1: He's like, he's like, why weren't you there? He said,
- 45:19Speaker 1: I smell you. Yeah, I was looking for you the
- 45:22Speaker 1: one I found. She wanted me to give it to
- 45:24Speaker 1: her rough, but faired you. I would have fucked you slow.
- 45:28Speaker 1: I would have had you calling my name this word
- 45:29Speaker 1: for word what he said. I would have had you
- 45:31Speaker 1: calling my name. Yeah, And she's like sitting there, she's shuddering,
- 45:34Speaker 1: and he has it pinned up against the wall and
- 45:37Speaker 1: he's like don't disobeer me again. She goes, don't tell
- 45:40Speaker 1: me what to do and he bites her. Yeah, sets,
- 45:46Speaker 1: but I felt bad for her too. The same sack
- 45:50Speaker 1: someone else. Yeah, I got the fuck you doing, Tamilin. Yeah.
- 45:52Speaker 1: And then the next morning she goes down and she
- 45:55Speaker 1: thinks she's being all sassy. She was going to cover
- 45:57Speaker 1: up the bruise at the bike. She was like, fuck it,
- 45:59Speaker 1: and then she goes, fuck it, he did it, he
- 46:01Speaker 1: can answer to. She goes down, this is down right
- 46:05Speaker 1: across it. It's right across from Tablin where she from Lucie,
- 46:07Speaker 1: where she doesn't really sit. And the Lucian goes, what's
- 46:10Speaker 1: that and she's like ask your friend. Yeah, and Tamblin goes,
- 46:13Speaker 1: if you disobey me, that's gonna happen, and she was
- 46:15Speaker 1: like fuck ro fucking crazy okay, And so then apparent
- 46:21Speaker 1: and then kind of she like hop skip and jumps
- 46:23Speaker 1: straight away in like four sentences and goes, we apologize later,
- 46:25Speaker 1: blah blah blah, we're friends again whatever. And so then
- 46:29Speaker 1: from there we're going to skip up to Solstice. Yes, okay, yes,
- 46:32Speaker 1: so Solstice isn't This is like maybe a month later
- 46:35Speaker 1: or a couple of weeks later, Solstice is the longest
- 46:37Speaker 1: day of the year and they celebrate summer. Big party,
- 46:39Speaker 1: big party. She is invited to this. Yes, everyone's having
- 46:43Speaker 1: the greatest time ever. She starts drinking, lets her guards down. Yes,
- 46:47Speaker 1: she drinks the fairies wine, begging Okay, Lucia was begging
- 46:53Speaker 1: her not to drink the fairy wine.
- 46:55Speaker 2: Yeah, and then no, and then we'll go she's drunk
- 46:59Speaker 2: the wine. And then Tamlin's playing that instrument.
- 47:02Speaker 1: Yes, he's playing an instrument. And then she just like.
- 47:04Speaker 2: Describes his forearms and then like moves up to his
- 47:08Speaker 2: chest and his things unbuttoned, and she's like, she's high
- 47:10Speaker 2: as fucking as well. She's just getting like turned off
- 47:13Speaker 2: describing him as well, and he just doesn't give a fuck.
- 47:18Speaker 2: She said something or said something like I'm sorry, I
- 47:21Speaker 2: drank the wine or something, and he just didn't even respond.
- 47:22Speaker 1: Lucian I apologized, he said I tried to stop her,
- 47:26Speaker 1: and he goes Lucien, he like waves him off. He goes, go,
- 47:29Speaker 1: I have fun, and then he's like I'll handle it. Yeah,
- 47:31Speaker 1: I'll take care of her. And apparently they dance until
- 47:34Speaker 1: the dawn. Bro ah, and you have to talk about
- 47:38Speaker 1: what happened at dawn? Where were they? What happened? This
- 47:42Speaker 1: is the first proper sex scene me and Jake have
- 47:46Speaker 1: ever experienced. But they didn't have sex yet in this scene. No,
- 47:50Speaker 1: they just they just made out and then they have sex. No,
- 47:52Speaker 1: they had sex. What I don't think they did. Oh,
- 47:56Speaker 1: I thought that was what I was alluding to. Maybe,
- 48:00Speaker 1: but I don't think. So they made out hard, right,
- 48:04Speaker 1: And she said that at the end of this chapter
- 48:06Speaker 1: of them making out, she said that she had a
- 48:08Speaker 1: tear in her eye and it's the happiest moment of
- 48:10Speaker 1: her life. Well, they watched the sunrise after this big
- 48:12Speaker 1: night of partying. This is the first time they properly
- 48:14Speaker 1: made out mate, right, And so then it's kind of
- 48:18Speaker 1: like all happy happy, And then they're eating lunch because
- 48:23Speaker 1: they slept in that day until midday. They're eating lunch.
- 48:27Speaker 1: They had sex then too, oh and then the next
- 48:30Speaker 1: one was there, Yeah, and so what happened. What happens
- 48:36Speaker 1: is they're eating lunch and Tamlin grouse because he senses something,
- 48:41Speaker 1: and then Lucien senses it and he's like okay, He's like,
- 48:46Speaker 1: get Favra to the curtain. And then over to the curtain.
- 48:52Speaker 1: She's like, what's going on? And they're like, go now.
- 48:54Speaker 1: She runs over to the curtain. Tamblin stands in front
- 48:56Speaker 1: of her with his sword down, ready to fight. She said,
- 48:59Speaker 1: he's ever seen him like this serious, So not Tamilin.
- 49:02Speaker 1: Lucian's covering her, and then Tamlin he sits down kind
- 49:05Speaker 1: of like as if relaxed. He's alone, He's all alone.
- 49:09Speaker 1: And she said she can tell that Lucian put a
- 49:13Speaker 1: glamour over her so the person coming in couldn't see her.
- 49:16Speaker 1: And then who the fux strolls in, the guy, the
- 49:19Speaker 1: guy that saved her on fire, those three fairies, and
- 49:23Speaker 1: she was like the fuck yeah, and then Tamlin goes, recent,
- 49:30Speaker 1: what do you want? Yeah, and he's like, I haven't
- 49:32Speaker 1: seen you in forty years, forty nine years, Tamlin, you
- 49:35Speaker 1: call me that. That's all I get. This motherfucker is
- 49:39Speaker 1: powerful and then powerful and all of them. Lucian's got balls.
- 49:43Speaker 1: He goes, what's Amarantha's whore doing? Yeah, we finally learn
- 49:47Speaker 1: her name? Who this she is? Yeah, Amarantha, but we
- 49:50Speaker 1: still don't have like of what she is.
- 49:53Speaker 2: We know who resent it, we know she's powerful and
- 49:55Speaker 2: reason's there, and he's like, did you.
- 49:56Speaker 1: Get my gift?
- 49:57Speaker 5: Oh?
- 49:58Speaker 2: We forgot to talk about that, and it was the head.
- 50:00Speaker 2: We forgot to mention that he left. There was just
- 50:02Speaker 2: a random fairy head.
- 50:03Speaker 4: Was it?
- 50:03Speaker 2: Yeah, so there was a fairy head on a stake
- 50:06Speaker 2: and it was because like he knows the Blight's back.
- 50:09Speaker 1: Well, he knows the Blight's back, and what it was
- 50:11Speaker 1: was it was very fresh. And Tamlin says, when they
- 50:15Speaker 1: found it, this couldn't have been here more than a
- 50:17Speaker 1: couple of hours. And the message that's being sent with
- 50:19Speaker 1: that is, hey, I got through your security and out undetected.
- 50:23Speaker 1: You fucking suck. And so he comes in and he goes,
- 50:27Speaker 1: did you get my message? And Tamlin was like, yeah,
- 50:28Speaker 1: not funny. Some deadheads, Yeah not funny. So up until
- 50:32Speaker 1: this point, right, Tamlin is pure beast, pure animal. No
- 50:35Speaker 1: one can even threaten him. Tamlin's shit in his fucking
- 50:38Speaker 1: pants with this guy. He's weak, bullshit this pants. I
- 50:40Speaker 1: go the biggest dick from Tamlin right because he Reson's
- 50:44Speaker 1: about to leave and he's talking about her again. He's
- 50:46Speaker 1: about Amarantha and I don't really know what she's gonna do.
- 50:49Speaker 1: But basically he's just gonna be like, Oh, they're going
- 50:51Speaker 1: to keep on coming. I don't know what's happening yet.
- 50:52Speaker 1: And then he's about to leave and he notices there's
- 50:55Speaker 1: a table set for three, and he goes, ah, where's
- 50:58Speaker 1: your guest, and then he looks over Lucian and he goes,
- 51:00Speaker 1: how dare you glamor me waves it off, sees Favor
- 51:04Speaker 1: recognizes her, and he goes, thought, I told you to
- 51:06Speaker 1: stay far bro okay, and then basically he's like, what
- 51:12Speaker 1: are you doing here? And Lucian says that this is
- 51:14Speaker 1: my girlfriend, the girl, and then and then he goes, Lucian,
- 51:18Speaker 1: I didn't, you know, didn't expect you to, like I
- 51:21Speaker 1: thought you weren't over that one girl that you were
- 51:23Speaker 1: in love with. I didn't expect you to go down
- 51:25Speaker 1: to mortal filth or something, I don't know whatever. Lucian
- 51:28Speaker 1: used to have a girlfriend and got killed. Lucians from
- 51:30Speaker 1: the Autumn Court, guys, we're leaving it out, but there's
- 51:32Speaker 1: too much info. There's heaps of info. Lucian used to
- 51:34Speaker 1: be high yeah, he's high lord whatever he was going
- 51:36Speaker 1: to be. And then Tamlin gets up and he's like,
- 51:39Speaker 1: Recent leave and he goes and he's like, please don't
- 51:44Speaker 1: don't tell Amarantha because Recent gets it reads her mind,
- 51:49Speaker 1: He reads Favor's mind. He comes down to her, Lucian's
- 51:52Speaker 1: like get the way, and he literally he goes. She's
- 51:54Speaker 1: like he just like swiped Lucian away like he was nothing,
- 51:58Speaker 1: goes down and he's like, he said it. She said
- 52:00Speaker 1: that he's like reading her mind and like scraping a
- 52:02Speaker 1: metal fucking fork on her brain or something is what
- 52:05Speaker 1: it felt like. She was wigging out and he's like,
- 52:07Speaker 1: Tamlin's like, reason, stop enough, and he goes, ah, you
- 52:13Speaker 1: don't even want to know the thoughts that she's having
- 52:14Speaker 1: about you, Tamilor. And then he like reads her mind
- 52:17Speaker 1: and he realized that it's Tamlin's missus, and he goes,
- 52:20Speaker 1: I wonder what she would think about this, like Amarantha,
- 52:23Speaker 1: and Tamlin fucking goes, please don't tell her, and he goes,
- 52:26Speaker 1: dag me. Tamlin gets down on his hands, he was
- 52:30Speaker 1: the best, puts his fucking face on the floor and says,
- 52:33Speaker 1: please don't tell Amarantha. I'm begging you. This motherfucker got
- 52:36Speaker 1: down and begged like a bitch.
- 52:39Speaker 2: I'm upset about it, but I know, I know, I
- 52:41Speaker 2: know because we thought he was the best and then
- 52:43Speaker 2: recent leaves.
- 52:44Speaker 1: Yep. Eventually, finally and he goes, I'll think about it.
- 52:47Speaker 1: I may tell her, I may not. And ah, this
- 52:50Speaker 1: is sad but also good. Yeah, I'm pissed off about this.
- 52:53Speaker 1: So Tamlin goes, you've got to leave.
- 52:56Speaker 2: Yeah, it comes in the next morning. It's not saying no, no,
- 52:59Speaker 2: it comes in at night. It was yeah, it's not
- 53:01Speaker 2: it's not safe you and she's like, what do you mean.
- 53:03Speaker 2: I've just come to terms that this is my forever place.
- 53:06Speaker 2: It's like, it's not safe you're here. And then he explains,
- 53:08Speaker 2: like how it's going to all work out. I've sell
- 53:10Speaker 2: your family and.
- 53:11Speaker 1: She's like, no, we can't have that. She's like, what
- 53:13Speaker 1: about the treaty and he says, I've taken on your Yeah,
- 53:16Speaker 1: I've taken it on for you, and if someone comes
- 53:18Speaker 1: for me then if they have a problem, they can
- 53:20Speaker 1: take it up with me. Yeah, So how do we
- 53:23Speaker 1: explain this bit the world Britain was so guys, fuck it.
- 53:28Speaker 1: I'm reading it. I know I know everything about this.
- 53:31Speaker 1: Page two forty seven is there? This is seven? He
- 53:38Speaker 1: had that in his head. He's been reading that more
- 53:39Speaker 1: than once. You don't even I went red. All right,
- 53:44Speaker 1: here we go to forty fucking seven. He lunged a
- 53:52Speaker 1: beast freedom its tether. We were tangled, so we were
- 53:56Speaker 1: a tangle of limbs and teeth. I tore at his
- 53:58Speaker 1: clothes until they were on the floor, or then tore
- 54:01Speaker 1: at his skin. Then I marked him down as bad
- 54:03Speaker 1: as his back, his arms, his claws were out, but
- 54:07Speaker 1: devastatingly gentle on my hips as he slid down between
- 54:10Speaker 1: my thighs and feasted on me, stopping only after I
- 54:14Speaker 1: shuddered and fractured. I was moaning his name when he
- 54:17Speaker 1: sheathed himself inside me in a powerful, slow thrust that
- 54:20Speaker 1: had me spilintering around him. We moved together, unending and
- 54:25Speaker 1: wild burning. And when I and when I went over
- 54:29Speaker 1: the edge the next time he roared and went with
- 54:31Speaker 1: me a man. And then she goes on to be
- 54:38Speaker 1: like And then we chilled for a fit for a bit,
- 54:40Speaker 1: and then we just fucked again. Yeah, we had like
- 54:43Speaker 1: a passionate love making session.
- 54:45Speaker 2: No, it relaxed. It was like an effortless love making session.
- 54:48Speaker 2: And then but then she wakes up and she's expecting,
- 54:52Speaker 2: like they're on good terms and everything, like.
- 54:54Speaker 1: She's gonna stay down, She's not gonna send her home.
- 54:57Speaker 1: She he's sending her back to her family. Yeah, she's
- 54:59Speaker 1: like say, it's like, well good. Then she then she's
- 55:02Speaker 1: he's just like Tams like pack your things. Yeah, He's
- 55:04Speaker 1: like you gotta go. She's like what. She's like, I
- 55:05Speaker 1: got what I wanted. Yeah, it's fucked bro. And then
- 55:08Speaker 1: she just like leaves. And I was like, what if
- 55:10Speaker 1: she gets sent home and he ends it and you
- 55:12Speaker 1: know what else he does. He sticks his head in
- 55:14Speaker 1: in the carriage and goes, don't forget I love you. Yeah,
- 55:16Speaker 1: she's leaving.
- 55:17Speaker 5: That was fun.
- 55:18Speaker 1: It's another thing of like that's fucking depicting many Yeah,
- 55:21Speaker 1: they'll say I love you everything. This mother fucker. I
- 55:23Speaker 1: know it's going to work out, but still it's not
- 55:25Speaker 1: the right thing to do. When she gets home and
- 55:26Speaker 1: her parents and her dad's just rich. She gets back
- 55:29Speaker 1: and she's like no, sister's like, who the fuck are you? Yeah,
- 55:31Speaker 1: they didn't recognize that she wasn't so skinny anymore.
- 55:33Speaker 2: Yeah, we didn't touch on the fact that Frey has
- 55:36Speaker 2: got even Hotter has got like she described, like.
- 55:38Speaker 1: You don't see my muscles anymore. Yeah, like her her
- 55:42Speaker 1: family was under the impression that she was away looking
- 55:46Speaker 1: after her aunts. She doesn't. They don't know that she
- 55:48Speaker 1: was in Pythian. But yeah, she's back now. And then
- 55:52Speaker 1: and chapter ended with her just like kind of just
- 55:54Speaker 1: have been back for about three days or something. She
- 55:56Speaker 1: checked out the old crib. I was like, what was
- 55:57Speaker 1: this ship all about?
- 55:58Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 55:59Speaker 1: Family, she's also just rich. Tamlin sent her back with
- 56:03Speaker 1: duels yeah yeah, and then like her dad's counted and
- 56:05Speaker 1: she had no and she and Tamlin fixed her dad's knee. Yeah,
- 56:08Speaker 1: Tamlin fixed her dad's knee. Tamlin gave apparently he like
- 56:12Speaker 1: set her dad up. Well, so, well, you guys need
- 56:15Speaker 1: to read this book. We can't give you all the details.
- 56:16Speaker 1: Will be here for four hours. But okay, that's what
- 56:19Speaker 1: we're up to. Predictions. Mine's crazy, you go.
- 56:22Speaker 2: Okay, I actually have no direction. So what I thought
- 56:26Speaker 2: was going to happen was they were gonna have sex
- 56:28Speaker 2: and then she wasn't gonna leave, Like they're gonna fight
- 56:30Speaker 2: for each other for her to stay.
- 56:31Speaker 1: But she's left already, So I.
- 56:32Speaker 2: Think Prithian's gonna go to shit, like absolutely, everything's going
- 56:38Speaker 2: to take a takeover. Amarantha's gonna find out like everything
- 56:41Speaker 2: and hate Tamlin and then they're gonna like fight and
- 56:43Speaker 2: the Light's going to take over.
- 56:45Speaker 1: Something is going to go down there. Yeah, and Tamlin's
- 56:48Speaker 1: gonna need Freyr for something, favorite for something, Okay, but
- 56:52Speaker 1: I don't know. But he needs a reason to come
- 56:55Speaker 1: back and get her. But I don't know what that
- 56:56Speaker 1: reason is. Because he says to her that this is
- 56:59Speaker 1: not the life. Last time we will see each other,
- 57:01Speaker 1: and he says, I love you, and he's going to
- 57:02Speaker 1: figure it out and she'll be back, right, that's yours.
- 57:07Speaker 1: I reckon.
- 57:07Speaker 2: There's gonna there's gonna be something where that Land's going
- 57:09Speaker 2: to be fighting and some reason, being a human is
- 57:12Speaker 2: going to be a superpower that they can't see her
- 57:14Speaker 2: or something and she's going to become a beast something
- 57:16Speaker 2: like that.
- 57:17Speaker 1: I like it, Yeah, I like that. Okay. The whole
- 57:22Speaker 1: purpose of him sending her home was so that the
- 57:26Speaker 1: fairies from the Night Realm cannot find her. Okay. He says,
- 57:33Speaker 1: have your wits about you because they will have spies. Okay,
- 57:37Speaker 1: this is crazy and outlandish of me. I think genuinely
- 57:43Speaker 1: because of the way she explained resand the night that
- 57:48Speaker 1: he saves her from those fairies at fire. I reckon,
- 57:51Speaker 1: she's going to fuck him. I reckon love Triangle, Resend
- 57:54Speaker 1: and favor fuck.
- 57:58Speaker 4: Fuck.
- 58:00Speaker 1: I think I see it. It's got potential.
- 58:04Speaker 2: It's got potential, And I tell you what, I'll I'm
- 58:06Speaker 2: throwing my book if that happens, I'm throwing my book
- 58:09Speaker 2: at a window. If that, do you reckon, Reason's gonna
- 58:12Speaker 2: come looking for her, and then she's gonna be like,
- 58:14Speaker 2: I fucking hate Tamblin now I and out a spot.
- 58:17Speaker 2: She's gonna fucking.
- 58:18Speaker 1: Because so she's gonna be mad atal sending her. She's
- 58:21Speaker 1: gonna end up just fucking hating Tamlin for sending her away.
- 58:24Speaker 1: Reason is gonna find her after this I love you
- 58:28Speaker 1: bullshit like that toxicity. I'm thinking that could happen. It's like,
- 58:31Speaker 1: just remember I love you and then leave like fuck ofugh.
- 58:34Speaker 1: Tamlin's gonna be jealous and you're gonna try and get
- 58:36Speaker 1: her back, and bro, I see it. I I just
- 58:39Speaker 1: because of the way she explained what he looked like,
- 58:42Speaker 1: Why else would you do it. Why else would you
- 58:45Speaker 1: explain that because she's obviously sexually attracted to and he
- 58:52Speaker 1: is Amarantha's whore, So oh no, here we go.
- 58:56Speaker 2: So she'll fuck Recent and Amarantha will find out, and Amarantha.
- 58:59Speaker 1: Will be like, she has to die. But Reson is
- 59:01Speaker 1: going to fall in love with her and he's going
- 59:03Speaker 1: to try and save her, and Tamlin and Recent they're
- 59:06Speaker 1: going to have to work together to kill Amarantha to
- 59:09Speaker 1: protect the one they love, and they're both doing it
- 59:12Speaker 1: to win Bayra's love, and she has to choose this.
- 59:15Speaker 1: Holy shit on you, this could be so right or
- 59:17Speaker 1: so wrong. I like it. I love it. And then
- 59:20Speaker 1: we're obviously going to find out Amaranthro is going to
- 59:22Speaker 1: be a fucking weapon. I don't even she has to be.
- 59:28Speaker 1: She has to be, and she's going to be. Clearly
- 59:29Speaker 1: she is older than Prithie in itself because the high
- 59:33Speaker 1: lords are supposed to be the most powerful, but she's
- 59:35Speaker 1: more powerful because I don't think she's a high lord.
- 59:38Speaker 1: I imagine Recent. I'm pretty sure Recent is fucking yeah,
- 59:41Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure Recent is the high Lord of the
- 59:43Speaker 1: Night Realm and she's higher up. Yeah, Tamlin's so weak.
- 59:47Speaker 1: I thought it was gonna be the best. Talmon was
- 59:48Speaker 1: a fucking I hate Tamlin. Yeah, Lucian love, Yeah, yeah,
- 59:52Speaker 1: Lucien love. Yeah, Tamlin, you're a pussy. Yeah, legitimately, like
- 59:56Speaker 1: just tell the truth from the start, maybe going back
- 59:58Speaker 1: to the start of the episode. True, maybe, So, guys,
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: that was fucked. Next chapter we're going to read together.
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: Oh yeah, where we're going to go do? Because we
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: we how many chapters are in the book. It's forty
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: five and fifteen last time, shuld we end it? Shit,
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: this went way quicker than I thought. So chapter thirty
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: and the last chapter, okay, chapter forty five, because then
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: it goes to acknowledgments. Okay, shit, there's a lot of
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: the acknowledgements.
- 1:00:31Speaker 2: So that's the finish king, that's too much, because that
- 1:00:35Speaker 2: recap just took fucking half an hour.
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: Let's do seven, yeah, seven half seven chapters. Seven chapters
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: because the recap took a long time. Yeah, so seven chapters,
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: so the recap next time doesn't take as long, and
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: there's two more episodes, and then we're onto the next
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: fucking book. Fuck already, man, life changing life. We've been
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: told the next book's better yeah.
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: Mate, this is the first time it's picked up, and
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: everyone's like, wait, do it gets to the end of
- 1:00:55Speaker 2: I'm like, okay, I've waited it long enough.
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: And also, here's one thing I noticed so on the
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: comments of our last video on Instagram of the book update, right, people,
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: I think I said something like I just want Fair
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: to admit she just wants to get railed by Tamblin,
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: and someone commented like, oh, just you wait, like because
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: you said, oh, you think there's gonna be some sexy scenes.
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: And then someone I was commented like, sexy scenes understatement. Okay,
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: the first sex scene we've read it was good, don't
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: get me wrong. Yeah, it's good. But I'm expecting way
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: fucking more from those I was expecting, like a full
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: full chapter. I was expecting a full chat, yes, sir,
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: I expected one full chapter to be a sex session. Yeah. Yeah,
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: I don't know. I'm not gonna lie like all these
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: smart books that I genuinely thought it was all just sex.
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: The storyline is crazy.
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: Well, this is only like, this isn't really smart. This
- 1:01:46Speaker 2: is like sexy scene. Okay, let's this.
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: I love this.
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: Yeah, this is like it's fantasy, fantasy with a little
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: bit of sexiness in it, whereas like we don't even
- 1:01:54Speaker 2: know what that world is, like, oly, shit, that's probably
- 1:01:56Speaker 2: down the track when we've got some experience, we're like
- 1:01:59Speaker 2: losing average. Our Book of Virginity didn't make you horny
- 1:02:03Speaker 2: at all. I was thinking, so a lot of comments
- 1:02:07Speaker 2: are girls read books for porn and guys watch porn, And.
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: I was like, this is quite nice.
- 1:02:12Speaker 5: I feel quite like.
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: I don't know how to describe the feeling when I'm
- 1:02:16Speaker 2: reading a sexy scene because I'm not getting a boner.
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: No, I wasn't getting a boner, but I was picturing it.
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: Like when she said something, she goes like I straddled him,
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: like I feel sexy. I just felt sexy, and when
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: guys wank like I don't feel sexy. No, I feel
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: quite coola like it felt reading it felt good. I
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: felt like this is nice. Yeah, cool, it was funny. Yeah,
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: I fuck crazy. I liked it. I didn't think i'd
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: ever read this ship. I love it.
- 1:02:42Speaker 2: That's really it's really it's an insight into a world
- 1:02:44Speaker 2: we didn't even like realize.
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: Yeah, it's cool. We go and we and not that
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: I dislike giving him long episodes but sorry, guys, we
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: got to work on this. We might have to do
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: a whole fucking special episode to finish it. To finish it, yeah,
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: or we can make like a whole new episode just
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: for Abautti's book Club. Maybe we should do that. That's
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: an extra episode every week, like it's just us, like
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: no structure is talking about the book chapters thirty to
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: thirty seven. Jake, welcome back, everybody to the relatables about
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: his book club. Oh, I'm excited, a bit sad we're
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: getting to the end of the book. Yeah, we're coming,
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: we are coming on in. I'm glad there's so many
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: books in this series because yeah, it's gone quick. I'll
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: hand you this back because you will need it.
- 1:03:38Speaker 2: But to start, do you want to talk about new
- 1:03:42Speaker 2: thoughts and feelings of how are you feeling after reading
- 1:03:45Speaker 2: those six chapters?
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: How do I feel after reading these chapters? Okay, it's
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: a good question. I think I'm feeling very I'm I
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: am happy with where it went, but I'm just way
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: way more curious because of where we forced ourselves to stop.
- 1:04:06Speaker 2: Yeah, very say apologies. A lot of the comments said,
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: do the whole thing, do the whole thing? Yeah, and unfortunately,
- 1:04:12Speaker 2: how we've like done this is we we're pre recording obviously,
- 1:04:16Speaker 2: so like we see the comments like post.
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: Yeah, like we record so with the day that we're
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: recording this, this comes out six days from the day
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: we're recording it, basically.
- 1:04:24Speaker 2: Yeah, but it's worked out well. How I'm feeling, I
- 1:04:27Speaker 2: feel like I've been lied to my whole life.
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: Damn bro same Yeah, yeah, no, we found out some shit.
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: I'm not gonna lie. We found out some shit, and
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: holy it's all coming back to me.
- 1:04:38Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:04:39Speaker 2: The start of that chapter, like, so the starts like
- 1:04:41Speaker 2: we can probably miss She's like back in her village
- 1:04:44Speaker 2: and her family hates her.
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: Pause her family with shit, Yeah, they don't even care. Actually,
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: my actual genuine feelings are I feel slightly anxious, anxious.
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: I'm a little anxious. Okay, Yeah, that's where I am
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: with it. Where we stopped kind of worked out well
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: because she just survived. Yeah, Okay, okay, okay, I've got
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: I got like good notes. Let's go through the chatter here. Okay,
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: So I'm just I've just got like a sentence really
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: about what each chapter was about. Yeah, Chapter thirty we
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: ended off chapter twenty nine she's gone. Tamlin has sent
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: her home, okay because of all the shit that's gone down,
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: And then she gets home, there's nothing like really crazy happens.
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: Blah blah blah. Basically Nesta her oldest sister. Yeah, she
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: calls Farrah out and goes, where have you been this
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: whole time? And Farah's like, what do you mean? And
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: Nestor goes, there's no aunt whatever her fucking name was,
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: made up name was, and she's like, what do you mean?
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: And then Nesta goes that magic didn't work on me.
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: Tamlin's glamour worked on Elaine and the dad, but it
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: didn't work on Nesta. She thought she was going crazy,
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: and so she thought she was going crazy. And Nesta
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: just chucks this like shod of wood from a table
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: that Tamlin must have ripped off of one of his
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: claws on the night he initially came and took Favor.
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: Yeah right, and so Favor goes shit, and Nesta says,
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: tell me everything, And so now Farah tells her literally
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: every detail. Obviously, Yeah, I thought, Ah, that was good.
- 1:06:18Speaker 2: But also when she got back to her family and
- 1:06:20Speaker 2: like they were rich now, they didn't really care and
- 1:06:21Speaker 2: they're talking about like trade in that new house and stuff.
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: I was like, this is just her family's kind of boring.
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: Her family is boring.
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: That sister going and she went to go look for
- 1:06:32Speaker 2: the arts place, but she knew she was just going
- 1:06:34Speaker 2: after her, and she.
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: Hired the mercenary. Yeah, and she went on the wall
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: for like three days or something, didn't find anything. She
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: went in the dead of winter. That was quite nice. Yeah,
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: I will say of all the family members, Nesta is
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: the best, even though she's the bitchiest. Yeah.
- 1:06:47Speaker 2: Yeah, that made me feel a little bit good, a
- 1:06:49Speaker 2: bit better. But otherwise continue.
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: Yeah, So then from and then to chapter thirty one, Yeah,
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: Farah learns of a house nearby that burned down where
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: the whole family was in it servants everything except one
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: of the daughters was never found, right, and the daughter
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: that was never found was goes by the name of
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: Claire bed Door. And we didn't mention this, right, we forgot.
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: But that makes it good is when Reesand was in
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: the dinner hall or whatever where they when she was,
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: when she was still in the spring court, he was like,
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: what's your name? And off the top of her head,
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: she said, I can't tell him my real name, because
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: he's gonna go look for my family, because he's gonna
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: ask my last name as well. So she said that
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: her name is Claire bed Door and he goes and
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: he believes it. And so then she's home for a
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: couple of days, finds out about the house burning down,
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: and she goes, oh, who's the house And they go, oh,
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: it was the bed Ors family, and she goes, no,
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: they didn't. They were gonna go fucking kill her whole family.
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: And when I read that, I was like, yes, I know.
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: I was like genius. And then she felt bad, Well, yeah, terrible.
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: You had a whole family killed, but she saved her family.
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: I was like, better theirs than hers. You would still
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: feel terrible, but you would still think that it was
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: the right thing to do for your family.
- 1:08:11Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I was like genius. And she's like grumbling
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: and shit, and I was like, what can you do?
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: And so she's like shit and so but because of that,
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: and because she is now like, oh, you know, Amarantha
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: and her fucking little gremlins and resend and shit, they're
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: game enough to come on this side of the wall
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: and do that. Yeah, something must have happened in the
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: spring court and she tells fair, she tells Nesta, and
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: Nesta goes like fuck, and basically Pharah says, I am
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: I'm going She was home for two chapters and then
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: she she just goes back. Yeah. Yeah, it was like
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: hops giving a jump. Didn't you tell her whole family
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: what happened? She she told her her family what happened,
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: and as she was telling them, it's almost like getting
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: the truth made the glamour go away. And then they
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: remembered everything and they were horrified and they were scared.
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: And her dad is such a fucking baby bro.
- 1:09:02Speaker 2: Yeah, and they're all like, oh, go do her like
- 1:09:05Speaker 2: you know, didn't he say whether the sister or the
- 1:09:07Speaker 2: dad that said like, we don't need you here anymore?
- 1:09:09Speaker 2: Nesta said that and then she like was delusionally telling
- 1:09:11Speaker 2: herself like that that made her feel better about it.
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah. Nesta goes, father told you
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: last time not to come back. I'm telling you again,
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: we don't need you here. We can take care of ourselves.
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: Don't come back farah, And then Pharah goes underneath it delusionally,
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: it wasn't an insult. I was like, what the fucking
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: biggest since I've ever fucking heard. Bro, I'm swearing, I
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: can't just can't. Whatever makes you sleep at night. I
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: was like, that's so man, we don't need you, oh man.
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: And then so she goes back Yeah, chapter thirty two,
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: this is where it gets good. Yeah, she goes back
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: to Tamlin's manner. She finds a hole in the wall.
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: She's there for like two days or something, and she
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: goes through the hole in the wall and she goes
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: back to the manner and everyone's gone. It looks like,
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: she says, it looks like a fight has taken place,
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: but it doesn't look like it was an army against
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: an army. It looks she said, it looked like it
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: was most likely Tamlin versus recent and a scuffle. And
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: there's no bodies anywhere. Yeah, so she was like, they
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: can't be dead. I can't see anybodies. And then in
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: the house she runs into Alice, her old servant friend,
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: and basically she just gets Alice to tell her everything
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: and here, okay, we should know, wait, we should mention.
- 1:10:25Speaker 2: Before she finds Alice, she's saying she's going to tell
- 1:10:29Speaker 2: Tamlin that she's realized she's in love with him.
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: Yes, okay, yes, that is correct. And then here's where
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: the law drops. All right, mouthful and a half, I
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: need to take some of my drink because holy only,
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: I actually got sad reading same everything Alice was saying.
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: I was like, are you kidding me? I was sad
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: as well. So she goes back, she runs, she finds Alice.
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: She's going back to tell Tamlin how she feels, because
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: he finishes it off with I love you and again
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: semi manipula from him. Guys, but Tamlin is just manipulative
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: to a core. Yeah yeah, fight yeah, okay. So she
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: goes back, she goes to tell, and so Alice starts
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: telling her where they've gone, basically, how do you tell
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: us in the right timeline? So Amarantha has taken the
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: whole spring court. Yes, okay. Reason being is Amarantha is
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: the high Queen of Prithian. She has been for about
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: fifty years. She's been in Prithian for a lot longer
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: because she was the King of Highburn, which is just
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: another country about over the water. The King of Highburn's
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: highest up general in his war against the mortals, right,
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: and she was a nasty mother Trucker. She had a
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: sister named Clythia. Clythia fell in love with a human
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: that was the leader of the humans fighting against Amarantha
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: and King Higburn right, and Durian was using Clythia and
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: Clythia's sister. Amarantha knew this, but she couldn't bring herself
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: to kill Durian because she didn't want to hurt her sister.
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: Durian gets what he needs from Clythia and then he
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: tortures her and kills her using ash wood because we
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: all know that is how they humans can kill fairies,
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: and Amarantha really just like breaks down, shows her wrath.
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: Apparently it could be home for the Heavens as some
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: shit I don't know. Amarantha's a crazy bitch, and so
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: what she does is finally Amarantha and Durian go head
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: to head and she slays Durian, but then higher up
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: people get involved and set the treaty, and so Amarantha
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: like that part of the story randomly, I guess is
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: just a good reason for Amarantha to hate humans because
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: it kind of isn't super valid. But basically, Tamlin's family
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: from the Spring Court have really close ties with Highburn,
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: the country and Tamlin's elder like his father, and that
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: they all like and the king Hiburn and Amerith they
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: all hated humans, and Tamlin is probably the first one
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: of his fucking bloodline to actually not hate humans and
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: not and just I hate slavery. So from when he
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: was young, him and Amaranth actually knew each other really
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: well before the war because they're super old, because his
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: supreme court had close ties to Highburn, and she's high
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: Burn's highest general and she has eyes for Tamlin. She
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: loves Tamlin, and so basically when the war's over, she
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: comes back to Prithian and starts to swindle and trick
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: all of the high lords of Prithian, all the seven
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: high lords of Prithian. They're like, we don't want you here,
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: and she's going, no, no, no, my sister's death has
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: changed me. I've come to prove to you that I
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: have changed and I don't hate humans, and I want
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: to live here and I want to help for everything
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: that I've done, yeah, for like ruining your lands. And
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: so basically what she does, how long was she doing
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: that for a long time? Long one, Yeah, a long
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: long time, and what she was actually secretly doing was
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: gathering power. And one of the ways that she got
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: all the seven high lords to agree to letting her
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: stay there was that she said she will open up
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: trade routes from high Burn, because I think he's richer
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: than all the seven high loads of Priythian. He opened
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: up trade routes, and with those trade routes, she was
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: sneaking in her own troops without high Burn even knowing.
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: And basically still with all of that, she couldn't beat
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: the seven Highlights of Priythian because of how fucking strong
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: their magic was. Like apparently Tamlin used to be an
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: animal animal, And so what she did one night was
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: she invited all of them to her court, which is
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: the court under the mountain, and she somehow used an
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: old spell of King high Burns and put it into
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: a drink, gave it to all of the seven high lords,
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: who thought they were just going for a party, and she,
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: using that spell, stripped them of their power, leaving them
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: to their most basest elements. Which Tamil's still a beast,
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: but he used to be even way way way, way
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: way more. And so she's taken all their power and
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: in turn, she actually has become what is known as
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: the Blight. Like they Amarantha put this spell on them, Well,
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: basically the bl it's not real. Yeah, Amarantha is the
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: bl but the reason that they were calling it the
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: blight to Faira is because the spell makes it so
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: they can't actually talk about what's happened, right because she
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: wants Tamlin and he says, no, you're disgusting. I don't
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: want to go near you. So she takes all their
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: power and she says, ha ha ha ha, Tamlin, you
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: have seven times seven years to break this curse and
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: then I'm coming to get you. And forty nine years
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: to someone that's a fairy is nothing. And so basically
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: the and the way to break the curse Tamla has
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: forty nine years to do it is he because of
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: how much Amarantha hates the humans, and humans hate Amarantha,
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: she made it impossible for him to break the curse.
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: And the way to break the curse was he has
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: to send over a fairy from his core and let
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: it be slain by a human that hates fairies. With
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: the passion. He has to bring the human back, make
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: it fall in love with him, and then if that
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: human is to then hate fairies but then fall in
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: love with Tamlin and then love fairies and say I
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: love you. The curse will be broken, masks come off,
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: and everyone gets their power back. So he was doing
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: that for years and years and years, failure, failure, failure,
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: just sending off people to be killed, turning a fairy
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: into a wolf, sending it off to be killed, and
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: then he gave up. He has about a year left,
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: it's the forty eighth year or forty ninth year left
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: with like it's a forty ninth year with like three
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: months left or something, and he just has one more
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: crack at it because he does not want to be
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: Amarantha's bitch, and so he sends Andreas over, who he
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: has said is like his best mate, actually wasn't. He
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: was sending him to be butchered, and Farrah kills him.
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: It's that's the wolf that Parah kills at the sart
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: of the book. And then Tamlin's like, I got my
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: fucking meat, let's go, brings her in, makes her fall
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: in love with him and then says I love you.
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: And the reason that he stuck his head in the
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: carriage at the end, that one last time to say
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: remember Farah, I love you, is because if she was
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: to have set it back, everything would have been happy days.
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: His mask would have fallen off. I don't reckon it
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: would have happened.
- 1:17:17Speaker 2: The way we're finding out how Amarantha works works. I
- 1:17:21Speaker 2: feel like it was all just one like sort of play. Yeah,
- 1:17:25Speaker 2: but that's why they were doing everything. So basically Tamilin's
- 1:17:30Speaker 2: being being lying to her the whole time.
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: The whole time, Hey, Farry hears all this from Alice. Yeah,
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: and and she doesn't even care. She still was just
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: like I loved Hamilin, yeah, which I was like, he's
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: had ter motives to loving you. Does he actually love you?
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: Or I just want to get rid of this curse.
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: It's the most insane law I've ever heard. I was
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: I dropped my book.
- 1:17:48Speaker 2: Yeah, but now we're finding out about how Amarantha operates,
- 1:17:51Speaker 2: it makes a lot of sense.
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: Yeah. But then at that point I was like, fucking hell, Okay,
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: so basically that was some law that everyone needed here. Yeah,
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: and then she's says to Alice like I need to
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: go get him, and Alice goes no, She kind of
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: has an argument, and then and then one last time,
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: and here's what, Okay, you know what I think about this.
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: I think Alice was saying no to taking her to
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: the court under the mountain to save Tamlain and Lucian
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: for a reason. The reason she was saying that is
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: to say, like she said to her, like, no, it's
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: a death sentence, you'll die. And then Pharaoh still goes,
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: I don't care, I want to go. Take me. She goes, no,
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: you are gonna die. She was testing to see how
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: much she actually loved Tamlin, right, because I do think
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: that the love can still save him, even after what
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: we've heard, even after what we've read, I do think
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: the waft still save it. So she ends up taking her.
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: It takes her to the this cave, which is a
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: short cut, and she says a couple of rules. Do
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: you remember them? It was listen carefully, just listen carefully,
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: don't make deals with anyone unless don't make a deal
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: with anyone unless your life depends on it. And yeah,
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: just basically, oh, and she said one more thing. She's said,
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: there is a part of Amarantha's curse that still doesn't
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: let me tell you certain things about the curse, and
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: it's obviously for a reason. So keep your ears open,
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: because that's why I think her love for Tamlin can
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: still because you know what I mean. Still, there's a
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: loophole in there. Okay, So she tells her all that
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: Farah entered. Chapter thirty three, Fara enters the cave and
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: not long end, she has arms around her arms and
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: she's like, holy shit, what's that. She turns around. It's
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: the atoll yep. Chapter thirty four, Farah gets taken to
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: the phone room, a throne room, we finally meet Amarantha.
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: Tamlin is sitting next to Amarantha. I think he's drugged
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: or some shit. He's fucked up. I love what she
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: said when she saw him. She goes, she's not as
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: beautiful as I thought. Ye she did say that too. Yeah,
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: she's not of the beauty that I expected or something.
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: And I was just like, you cheeky yeaheah. She's like,
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: you're you don't threaten me? Yeah, I know Tamlin's gonna
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: choose me. That's what she's thinking in her head. Okay.
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: And when she enters the throne room, so she sees
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: that Tamlin's there, She's like, holy shit. And then Amarantha's like, well, well,
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: well how do we have here? Adam was like a
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: human whatever. And then she turns around behind her who's
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: hanging there, dead and tortured, clear bedwar. Yeah, the holy shit.
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: And then uh, she feels guilty again. And then she's
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: talking to Amarantha and she's saying, well, why are you here,
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: and basically she doesn't really know what to say, and
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: finally she says, I'm here to claim the one I love,
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: thinking that that's gonna break the curse. She's like the
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: one you love, and she's like the Spring the high
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: lord of the yeah, the highland of the spring Court
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: and she's like tamblin a. Marantha's like, fucking humans, you
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: dirty dog?
- 1:20:53Speaker 4: What are you doing about it?
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: And Tamlin goes, what does Tamlin say? He's says like, oh,
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: this has resse. Yeah, Resense playing a joke, like he's
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: trying to protect favors sil like Resentse playing a joke
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: even though he's high. Maybe the love is real. Yeah,
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: and so here we go, right chapter thirty five. Yeah,
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: oh no she oh no, no, no, no, sorry we
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: got the in chapter thirty four, she's talking that. She says,
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: I'm here to claiming why I love and then Amarantha,
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: because she's so powerful, and gets so bored. She goes, well,
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: things have been boring here since I tortured your friend Claire,
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: all right, And so she says, how about this. You
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: can have the one you love and the spring Court
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: can be free if you were if you do my trials,
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: three trials over three months. Every single time there's a
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: full moon, you do a trial. Yes, and favor is
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: like shit. Alice said, don't make deals, and then she
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: she goes, okay, and she's thinking about it, and then
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: Amarantha goes, and I'm going to make it even more interesting.
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: I'm going to give you a riddle. If you can
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: solve this riddle at any point in the three months
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: that you are here doing the trials, everyone can be
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: let go. Masks off. Tamlin's yours magic restored to the
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: lands to the high lords immediately and that word means
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: something because she was like immediately she says deal and
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: then she gets beat up. Oh yeah, she makes the
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: deal with Amarantha, and then she goes and then Amarantha goes, yeah,
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: Amarantha's like, okay, let's give her a warm welcome to
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: the midnight court. She just gets beat up by like
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: four fairies like crop a beat up quick like that?
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: What did you think the answer to the riddle? I've
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: got the riddle. I'm going to read it. I thought
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: I know here. I'm going to tell you what I
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: think my answer is, because I think I know the answer. Okay, okay,
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: let's see. Well, I'm going to read it quickly. It's
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: a confusing though I thought the ending of it gave
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: it away. Hmmm, this is the riddle. Guys. There are
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: those who seek me a lifetime, but never we meet.
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: And though I kiss, but who trample me beneath ungrateful feet.
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: At times I seem to favor the clever and the fair,
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: but I bless all those who are brave enough to
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: dare by large. My ministrations are soft handed and sweet,
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: but scorned, I become a difficult beast to defeat, for
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: though each of my strikes lands a powerful blow, when
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: I kill, I do it slow.
- 1:23:32Speaker 5: Well.
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: I thought the answer was Amarantha. I thought the answer
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: was Tamilin. I thought it was Amorantho. Okay, so she's
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: doing a riddle about herself. That's what I that's what
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: you think. For some reason, I just was like, it's
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: got to be the answer is Tamilin. But I don't
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: know why Tamlin doesn't kill Slow, but she doesn't think
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: there's things we don't know about him. But she she's
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: killing she's trying to kill fair Slow. That's what gave
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: it away. I thought, No, you're right, but that's it
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: when I went and I was like, that's sucking her bit,
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: Like you say.
- 1:23:57Speaker 4: It it is.
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: You're right, It would just be that the riddle is
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: her I.
- 1:24:02Speaker 2: Really but also I think it's a curveball and it doesn't.
- 1:24:04Speaker 2: It's going to be something we haven't even like met yet.
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, and so that's the riddle. Then she gets yes,
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: Farra gets taken back to her cell, wakes up all bloody,
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: broken nose basically, and then Lucian sneaks in tries to
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: fix her nose. We can't make it look too obvious.
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: Yeah yeah yeah, and then h K. So she actually
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: gets the So she goes to the cell after making
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: the deal and then comes back a few days later,
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: and that's when she gets the riddle and then but
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: before she gets the riddle, she's and Rantha realizes she
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: doesn't know Favor's name, but she thought it was Claire
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: Bedel right, And okay, this is why I think that
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: my last week's prediction is running slightly true. Oh okay, okay,
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: because she brings Fair up and she's like, well, what
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: is your name? It's only fair because you know mine.
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: She's silent, she's silent, and then she says to Resend,
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: like recent come here. He looks. She's like, you know,
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: she gave you the name Claire Bettor and you went
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: and got Claire better. And Dalton told me that's the
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: girl that you saw. But look at this one right here?
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: Is this not the girl that you saw at the
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: Tamilin's matter And Reson goes, I don't, I don't really
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: pay attention to humans. But he has seen her twice.
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: He saved her once at fire night, looked her dead
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: in the eyes and dead in the face at Tamlin's manner.
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: And he's a fairy. He's a fucking beast. He doesn't
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: forget faces right, just because she's human, I reckon. He's
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: trying to protect her from Ammorantha that went over my head.
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: To be honest, Yeah, it was like a selfish prick.
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: It didn't care. Now I think he wants to fuck
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: ah Okay, okay, yeah, I don't know. I think that's
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: a great pickup. And so, uh yeah, basically that happened,
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: and then she like threatens to kill Loosen or something,
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: so she gives her a name, and then chapter thirty
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: six is she does the first trial. Yeah, and it's
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: just like a massive worm with like a mouth with
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: heaps of fangs and teeth, and then there's like pooh
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: and mud on the ground. Just yeah, she's just like
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: thrust into this big pit with a worm and then
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: it's like a mazed kinder and she has to Amarantha goes,
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: I've been doing some research on you. Apparently you're a huntress.
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: She's like hunt this. It's like, what do you mean?
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: I'm being hunted by it? And then the other reason
- 1:26:12Speaker 1: I think that Resend likes Fayrah is because here's how
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: halfway through the fight with the worm, she realizes it's blind,
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: and so then she also realizes it's relying on smell
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: and smelling her human flesh. Right, do you reckon? What
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: he says? And so he she she puts all the
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: mud and worm feces all over her because that's gonna
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: make her invisible. And one of the fairies watching, like
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: a bunch of fairies are watching this because they don't
- 1:26:39Speaker 1: care about Farr. They wanted to die. They they're cheering
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: and they're like, oh, what's she doing? And Resend goes,
- 1:26:46Speaker 1: she's making herself invisible, and he's like impressed, right, and
- 1:26:50Speaker 1: so I was like, okay, okay, well I still was
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: taking it. He didn't give a fuck, like he's like,
- 1:26:57Speaker 1: she's obviously that's what she's doing. And then she goes
- 1:27:00Speaker 1: and she kills the worm, passes the first trial. She
- 1:27:04Speaker 1: gets taken back up to the Amarantha's feet and she
- 1:27:08Speaker 1: was like a like, I don't know, I must have
- 1:27:10Speaker 1: said well done or something, and then she goes. Everyone
- 1:27:13Speaker 1: in my Court lost a lot of money on you
- 1:27:16Speaker 1: tonight because they were making bets on her life. A
- 1:27:19Speaker 1: lot of people bet that you weren't going to last
- 1:27:21Speaker 1: thirty seconds. Some said you'd last five minutes. Every single person,
- 1:27:26Speaker 1: like every single fairy in my Court apart from one,
- 1:27:31Speaker 1: bet on you dying. And then the chapter ended, and
- 1:27:35Speaker 1: it's obvious that Resend was the only one that bet
- 1:27:37Speaker 1: on her not dying. I thought it was Loucian. No,
- 1:27:39Speaker 1: Lucian is not part of her court, is part of
- 1:27:42Speaker 1: the Spring Court, so part of her under the Mountain Court.
- 1:27:46Speaker 1: I thought it was just everyone there. Ok yeah. So
- 1:27:48Speaker 1: and and Resent is actually a high lord of the
- 1:27:51Speaker 1: Night Court, but he is basically Amarantha's bitch. He is
- 1:27:55Speaker 1: a member of the fucking under the Mountain Court. And
- 1:27:57Speaker 1: she says every single fairy in my court it it's
- 1:28:01Speaker 1: better on your dying except for one. And it ended,
- 1:28:03Speaker 1: and it's obviously recent. Okay, okay, hey, what do you
- 1:28:06Speaker 1: think it's a good pickup.
- 1:28:07Speaker 2: I just when I was reading that, I just assumed
- 1:28:09Speaker 2: it was Lucian because I thought it didn't Luci come
- 1:28:11Speaker 2: from her court.
- 1:28:13Speaker 1: No, he's from the Autumn Court. I don't know. That
- 1:28:15Speaker 1: just went over my head. But that makes a lot
- 1:28:17Speaker 1: of sense. I'm sure we're going to find out very
- 1:28:19Speaker 1: soon that it's Lucian. Yeah, I mean that is recent recent. Yeah, okay,
- 1:28:24Speaker 1: So we have to finish the book. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:28:26Speaker 1: I'm sorry. I'm going to finish it tonight, bro. But
- 1:28:28Speaker 1: we have predictions, final predictions and kind of lucky. We
- 1:28:33Speaker 1: only did seven chapters. Then we did fifteen chapters last
- 1:28:37Speaker 1: week and spoke for the same amount of time. Yeah,
- 1:28:39Speaker 1: and we did seven chapters the week just gone now
- 1:28:41Speaker 1: and we spoke for the same I'm loving your recapability.
- 1:28:44Speaker 1: I couldn't do it as good as you.
- 1:28:45Speaker 5: I do.
- 1:28:45Speaker 1: Remember I've been last I was editing the clip for
- 1:28:48Speaker 1: the last week's and I was like, I did the
- 1:28:49Speaker 1: talking it felt bad? Or what about I don't care?
- 1:28:52Speaker 2: What about whenever you watch a TV show or anything
- 1:28:55Speaker 2: like that, you and Star Wars are you and anything?
- 1:28:58Speaker 1: The background?
- 1:28:58Speaker 2: Like story? You really get him best in It's like
- 1:29:00Speaker 2: in your Blood, which I really like. And I normally
- 1:29:03Speaker 2: ask you for questions and you just to see things
- 1:29:05Speaker 2: in care a lot water me. So it's good for
- 1:29:07Speaker 2: you to recap.
- 1:29:08Speaker 1: And I love Turn and Out. I like it. My
- 1:29:10Speaker 1: brain runs with ship. It's really you, So I like it.
- 1:29:13Speaker 1: I think it comes across as a good listen, all right,
- 1:29:14Speaker 1: if everyone doesn't mind me taking taking these over, then
- 1:29:17Speaker 1: I don't mind doing it. But I do feel bad.
- 1:29:19Speaker 2: I was like, talk next, I don't care, but predictions, predictions, predictions,
- 1:29:25Speaker 2: how does it end?
- 1:29:26Speaker 1: So she's obviously got two more trials left. Okay, fa
- 1:29:30Speaker 1: obviously stays alife, because one thing that's been spored for
- 1:29:32Speaker 1: us is that we know her character development gets good
- 1:29:34Speaker 1: in the next book. So that's yeah, Okay, she she's
- 1:29:39Speaker 1: going to become a queen somehow. Whoa audie what? Yeah,
- 1:29:43Speaker 1: she is.
- 1:29:44Speaker 2: And I'm definitely not saying that because I read the
- 1:29:46Speaker 2: comments and someone said something about her being her queen.
- 1:29:51Speaker 2: But I don't know how, and I don't know how
- 1:29:53Speaker 2: she's gonna win. Does she win Tamlin back, that's a question. Okay, Um,
- 1:29:59Speaker 2: you think there's gonna be some fucking threesome going on now,
- 1:30:01Speaker 2: I think there's a love triangle.
- 1:30:04Speaker 1: But also you know what I actually do think, but
- 1:30:08Speaker 1: reasons her is Amarantha's bitch, and you think she's going
- 1:30:10Speaker 1: to choose Frerah over her, I think, well, I think
- 1:30:15Speaker 1: the only reason recent is Amarantha's bitch is because he's
- 1:30:18Speaker 1: scared and likes having freedom because he's one of the
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: high lords power stripped. But I think she must be
- 1:30:24Speaker 1: giving him a little bit more power.
- 1:30:26Speaker 2: Okay, So Freya is going to realize that Tamlin's love
- 1:30:31Speaker 2: has been a lie. He's been doing it for the
- 1:30:32Speaker 2: wrong reasons, but she's still going to want to save
- 1:30:34Speaker 2: him because he's a good bloke. And then she's going
- 1:30:37Speaker 2: to save him beat the challenges, But then she's going
- 1:30:40Speaker 2: to fall in love with Recent and they're going to
- 1:30:41Speaker 2: betray Amarantha somehow, and she's going to become queen of something.
- 1:30:46Speaker 1: Wow with the night Court with Recent high resent. Wow. Okay,
- 1:30:51Speaker 1: for some reason, I think Tamlin dies you reckon, not
- 1:30:57Speaker 1: I reckon? They save him and like he's just not
- 1:30:59Speaker 1: he's just like a part of the story. Yeah. I
- 1:31:02Speaker 1: also do genuinely believe that he is going to become
- 1:31:04Speaker 1: a sidecarch. Yes, do all right, But does Amarantha die
- 1:31:08Speaker 1: work or does her power? Does her power get stripped
- 1:31:11Speaker 1: like she's stripped from the other high lords. Yeah, so
- 1:31:14Speaker 1: she stripped the power, but part of the curse was
- 1:31:16Speaker 1: she's not allowed to use it. Well, there's what they
- 1:31:18Speaker 1: told the riddle for some reason, like that's going to
- 1:31:20Speaker 1: play a part in something. Oh, the riddle is going
- 1:31:22Speaker 1: to click soon and I can't think of it neither.
- 1:31:24Speaker 1: So the riddle, I don't know.
- 1:31:26Speaker 2: And also the fact of like the wording of the challenges,
- 1:31:30Speaker 2: he's going to play a part somehow, and I think, well,
- 1:31:33Speaker 2: I don't know, it's quite I have no idea.
- 1:31:35Speaker 1: Okay, I think the book is going to end with
- 1:31:40Speaker 1: the she's going to do one more challenge. She's going
- 1:31:46Speaker 1: to be in her cell and have some sort of
- 1:31:49Speaker 1: conversation with reesand she's gonna save Tamlin. But she's going
- 1:31:55Speaker 1: to realize that he lied to her, basically using her
- 1:31:59Speaker 1: to say himself. And I think that the book is
- 1:32:04Speaker 1: going to end with us. You know, the book's going
- 1:32:10Speaker 1: to end with a twist. But that's I'm thinking, like,
- 1:32:12Speaker 1: is there actually not going to be like a proper ending?
- 1:32:14Speaker 1: Are we thinking there's going to be an ending and
- 1:32:15Speaker 1: there's just not like because there's so many more books,
- 1:32:18Speaker 1: is it just going to be like yeah, like she's
- 1:32:20Speaker 1: got the three charge, the last chance to do the
- 1:32:22Speaker 1: third challenge. It's a great great Actually don't know, maybe
- 1:32:26Speaker 1: we just need to fucking read it. I still, I
- 1:32:29Speaker 1: still genuinely believe Recent and Far are going to get together.
- 1:32:32Speaker 2: You're you've sold me on it with all your pickups,
- 1:32:35Speaker 2: to be honest, and I think what I said is
- 1:32:37Speaker 2: going to happen. Yeah, so no, you know, wait, yeah,
- 1:32:40Speaker 2: you said she's going to realize that Tamlin's love wasn't real,
- 1:32:44Speaker 2: and then she reason's going to try and like fall
- 1:32:46Speaker 2: in love with her, and then those two are going
- 1:32:48Speaker 2: to beat Amarantha and she's going to become the queen
- 1:32:50Speaker 2: of something.
- 1:32:51Speaker 1: Okay, I love it. No, I like that he's gonna
- 1:32:53Speaker 1: resent is going to give favor power. Yeah. Yeah, think
- 1:32:57Speaker 1: she's going to become a fair would love that. Talmlin's
- 1:33:02Speaker 1: gonna be jealous mate, Tamlin's not gonna even exist anymore.
- 1:33:06Speaker 1: But I want Lucian to do something cool too. In there,
- 1:33:09Speaker 1: we didn't say I love Lucia. I'm not gonna lie.
- 1:33:10Speaker 1: I love why she not killed him? Like, why is
- 1:33:13Speaker 1: this floating around? She gave Lucian. Uh so she still
- 1:33:18Speaker 1: wants like Tamlin is refusing to be Amarantha's lover. Yeah.
- 1:33:23Speaker 1: And one of the things to try and coax me
- 1:33:24Speaker 1: into doing it was giving Lucian some of his power back,
- 1:33:27Speaker 1: because Lucian used to have power and he's a high
- 1:33:30Speaker 1: fae and she gave some of his power back. That's
- 1:33:33Speaker 1: why he could heal Favr a little bit from her
- 1:33:35Speaker 1: broken nose. And yes, still I just think that she
- 1:33:39Speaker 1: just doesn't see him as a threat at all.
- 1:33:41Speaker 2: You know what I mean, maybe he plays a big
- 1:33:44Speaker 2: part because no one sees him as a threat.
- 1:33:46Speaker 1: That would really I would love that.
- 1:33:48Speaker 2: Imagine she fucks Lucian instead of reason honestly freaking away
- 1:34:01Speaker 2: Chapters thirty seven to the end.
- 1:34:04Speaker 1: This is exciting, Jake, the finale, the big finale, and
- 1:34:08Speaker 1: so much has happened. Yes, so this is its own episode,
- 1:34:13Speaker 1: so we won't feel the need to be rushed, do
- 1:34:16Speaker 1: any rushing. I've even gone with some more in depth notes.
- 1:34:20Speaker 1: I'll explain how I did it, but first we need
- 1:34:24Speaker 1: to preface. Thank you everybody for coming to the book club.
- 1:34:27Speaker 2: Yeah, the support, and we read the comments and we
- 1:34:30Speaker 2: saw a lot of people saying special for the finale,
- 1:34:33Speaker 2: special special.
- 1:34:34Speaker 1: Thank you guys all for joining us in the book club.
- 1:34:37Speaker 1: If you're reading along, and I will say, the Instagram,
- 1:34:44Speaker 1: the channel that we have on our Instagram. If you're
- 1:34:47Speaker 1: on our Instagram, you can see there's a Baddies book
- 1:34:48Speaker 1: Club channel. If you go on there, join the channel.
- 1:34:52Speaker 1: I think there's about three thousand batties in there right now,
- 1:34:54Speaker 1: so I know we can get that up higher because
- 1:34:57Speaker 1: we so what We're done a kata. Now some posting
- 1:35:00Speaker 1: in there, but once we start the next book, which
- 1:35:02Speaker 1: we will order on this episode. Yeah, right before your eyes.
- 1:35:06Speaker 1: But you can. We found out today that you guys
- 1:35:09Speaker 1: can reply each individual message we send and you can
- 1:35:13Speaker 1: like even reply to other baddies, so like there can
- 1:35:15Speaker 1: be conversations outing there. We always thought it was just
- 1:35:17Speaker 1: we message, you react, but opposite. Yeah is great.
- 1:35:21Speaker 2: And with this new episode, this is the start of
- 1:35:24Speaker 2: new things, Jake, start of new things. Yeah, we're excited
- 1:35:27Speaker 2: to announce that Friday episodes of Stimulated will be no more.
- 1:35:34Speaker 2: Everyone got too stimulated. As we mentioned on the main episode,
- 1:35:37Speaker 2: but from here on out, we are going to be
- 1:35:40Speaker 2: releasing the Baddies book Club as their very own episodes
- 1:35:45Speaker 2: every single Friday.
- 1:35:47Speaker 1: Starting next week. Yeah, because this is out of my
- 1:35:49Speaker 1: So this Friday coming up. If you're listening to this,
- 1:35:50Speaker 1: when it comes out, they will be a Stimulated but
- 1:35:52Speaker 1: last one. When it happens, you'll figure it out.
- 1:35:54Speaker 2: But to preface, our new format is Monday normal episode
- 1:35:58Speaker 2: Thursday Patreon Friday Baddiest book Club.
- 1:36:02Speaker 1: And we know some of you baddies can't wait.
- 1:36:05Speaker 2: Yes, so every single Monday, if you want the Baddiest
- 1:36:09Speaker 2: book Club episodes early, they will be on Patreon on
- 1:36:12Speaker 2: Monday for five dollars a month, and you also get
- 1:36:15Speaker 2: the extra episode on Thursday, So good bang for your.
- 1:36:17Speaker 1: Balu on Patreon's crazy. There's also a year and a
- 1:36:21Speaker 1: half to coming up close to two years worth of
- 1:36:24Speaker 1: episodes to binge. Yeah.
- 1:36:25Speaker 2: The best thing for us to see and here is
- 1:36:28Speaker 2: when people start at the very start of our episodes
- 1:36:31Speaker 2: and they say, we'd love to see your growth.
- 1:36:33Speaker 1: Scary for us. Scary for us, yes, because we don't
- 1:36:35Speaker 1: want to go back and listen to how bad we were.
- 1:36:36Speaker 1: Let's not bring anything up from there either.
- 1:36:38Speaker 2: But even the start of Patreon to where we're at now,
- 1:36:40Speaker 2: I think our character development, like the character development in Akator,
- 1:36:45Speaker 2: is quite exciting. Yes, the confidence we get very excited.
- 1:36:48Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:36:49Speaker 1: So let's so that's that lights are on, Lights are on, Go,
- 1:36:54Speaker 1: go start up to Patreon and yeah, support the cause
- 1:36:58Speaker 1: and become part of the where the bad is unite.
- 1:37:01Speaker 1: That's where they unite.
- 1:37:02Speaker 2: Yeah, and I think we've done this too because of
- 1:37:04Speaker 2: how much support you've given.
- 1:37:06Speaker 1: Yes, so, and fuck, this is honestly fun. A year ago,
- 1:37:09Speaker 1: if you told me we were doing a book club
- 1:37:11Speaker 1: and we turned it into its own thing, I just
- 1:37:12Speaker 1: would not have believed you. Yeah, and I just it's
- 1:37:15Speaker 1: just so fun. Was so excited frontal right, I couldn't
- 1:37:20Speaker 1: agree more. So. What I did this week, Gottie was I.
- 1:37:26Speaker 1: Last week I did my own little two sentence summaries
- 1:37:30Speaker 1: of the of the chapters. Right, that's what I've done
- 1:37:32Speaker 1: this week. This week I went through the effort of
- 1:37:36Speaker 1: I took a photo of every single page of each chapter,
- 1:37:40Speaker 1: put it into chat Cheapt, and I said, turn this
- 1:37:42Speaker 1: into five sentences for me, summarize this into five sentences.
- 1:37:46Speaker 1: So chat Chept has read chapter thirty seven to forty
- 1:37:50Speaker 1: six and summarized each individual chapter into five sentences, just
- 1:37:54Speaker 1: so I wanted to paint a better picture for the baddies.
- 1:37:57Speaker 1: I was gonna that's still good. Was going to give
- 1:38:00Speaker 1: you so much praise, thinking you do something amazing. Yeah, no,
- 1:38:03Speaker 1: I can't. Yeah, because you texted me this is amazing.
- 1:38:06Speaker 1: You were like, I've got I've got the best idea.
- 1:38:08Speaker 1: Can we long? It took me. It's still good.
- 1:38:10Speaker 2: I'm giving you some praise, but it's still using. But
- 1:38:15Speaker 2: kick us off, Jake with We stopped at chapter thirty seven. Yes,
- 1:38:20Speaker 2: and shit's about to.
- 1:38:21Speaker 1: Hit the fan. Okay. I think the best thing to
- 1:38:23Speaker 1: do for this quickly is to remember what were our
- 1:38:30Speaker 1: predictions predictions last week? Remember our predictions, and then say
- 1:38:33Speaker 1: our thoughts on the next chapter before we get in.
- 1:38:36Speaker 1: So what was your prediction, because I'm pretty sure I
- 1:38:38Speaker 1: was semi right you had a good one.
- 1:38:40Speaker 2: I landed hard on the prediction. I can't really say
- 1:38:43Speaker 2: it because we'll give away one of the chapters. But
- 1:38:45Speaker 2: my predictions were frayer f No, He's okay. So that's
- 1:38:49Speaker 2: the only time I'm going to say it wrong. Yeah,
- 1:38:52Speaker 2: that after we've done like what six Baties book. Plus,
- 1:38:56Speaker 2: if I say it once more wrong, I'm going to
- 1:38:57Speaker 2: be so pissed when I edit it. Favor Fa and
- 1:39:01Speaker 2: resand team up and somehow beat Amarantha, I said. And
- 1:39:07Speaker 2: I also said, did I say Farah will become.
- 1:39:11Speaker 1: You said Favor gains powers? Yes, And you said that
- 1:39:15Speaker 1: Farah and Recent team up to beat Amarantha. And what
- 1:39:19Speaker 1: we're going to say right now is body landed on
- 1:39:22Speaker 1: part of that. All right? Yeah, So what'd you say again?
- 1:39:25Speaker 1: You want to I I still I stand by I
- 1:39:32Speaker 1: was reading that. I stand by my love triangle theory.
- 1:39:35Speaker 1: And what's going to happen. Is it's going on into
- 1:39:38Speaker 1: the next book. It has to when the book finished
- 1:39:40Speaker 1: in the last scene recent and I was like, this
- 1:39:44Speaker 1: is very much alluding to yes, when she's like, oh, yes,
- 1:39:47Speaker 1: my exactly. Yeah, yeah, but that was the predictions. Yeah, okay,
- 1:39:55Speaker 1: thoughts and feelings. Thoughts and feelings. Is I'm happy, I'm
- 1:39:58Speaker 1: happy to my mind's blown. Yeah, my mind's blown. To
- 1:40:01Speaker 1: my mind's absolutely blown. We both got the riddle wrong.
- 1:40:04Speaker 1: That pissed me off. Also same like, I'm a fucking idiot.
- 1:40:08Speaker 1: I should have got that. I should have got that.
- 1:40:10Speaker 1: You should have got that. I should have got that. Honestly,
- 1:40:12Speaker 1: that's poor from you. Yeah, I should have got that.
- 1:40:14Speaker 2: You definitely should have got that. It's kind of how
- 1:40:16Speaker 2: you expected it to finish. And I'm intrigued because it
- 1:40:21Speaker 2: kind of left it not really on a cliffhanger like
- 1:40:24Speaker 2: the other chapters. No, they didn't, which I thought there
- 1:40:27Speaker 2: was going to be a massive cliffhanger.
- 1:40:29Speaker 1: The way that Sarah J. Mass wrote this, you could
- 1:40:31Speaker 1: finish on Akatar. Yeah, and you don't have to read
- 1:40:34Speaker 1: the rest. Yeah, but I'm reading the rest. We are
- 1:40:37Speaker 1: reading the rest. So we'll start off with thirty seven yeah,
- 1:40:41Speaker 1: this is this is my summary of thirty seven. Where
- 1:40:43Speaker 1: we left off on thirty six was Farrah had just
- 1:40:45Speaker 1: completed her first trial with the worm and she was
- 1:40:48Speaker 1: being taken away, and Amarantha said to her, my whole
- 1:40:53Speaker 1: court lost a lot of money on you, apart from one.
- 1:40:56Speaker 1: My prediction was it was recent that made a lot
- 1:40:58Speaker 1: of money. Yeah, that was right. And she was also
- 1:40:59Speaker 1: very very injured, very injured arm, broken bone sticking out. Yeah, okay.
- 1:41:04Speaker 1: So chapter thirty seven, Farah lies gravely injured and feverish
- 1:41:08Speaker 1: in the dungeon after her first trial with no help
- 1:41:11Speaker 1: from Tamlin or Lucian rhesand appears offering to heal her
- 1:41:16Speaker 1: in exchange for a bargain. So he originally said two
- 1:41:20Speaker 1: weeks of per month for the rest of your life.
- 1:41:26Speaker 1: You come to the night Court and live with me
- 1:41:29Speaker 1: for two weeks every month for the rest of your life. Right,
- 1:41:31Speaker 1: And Farah was like, it's not that long. I'm like what,
- 1:41:33Speaker 1: and far was She's literally dying, right, She's dying. And
- 1:41:38Speaker 1: so she says originally I think she's like, no, fuck
- 1:41:40Speaker 1: off's piss off. She spits it, just spitting a lot there, Yeah,
- 1:41:46Speaker 1: just spitting at him right, So she initially refuses her
- 1:41:51Speaker 1: worsening condition and the doubt that Lucian will come because
- 1:41:55Speaker 1: Lucian got whipped for helping her last time. Did she
- 1:41:59Speaker 1: know She knew by this point it's pretty sure and
- 1:42:02Speaker 1: Amarantha got Tamlin to do the whipping.
- 1:42:04Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:42:04Speaker 1: Crazy evil woman. Yeah. So she refuses and then so
- 1:42:10Speaker 1: the doubt that Lucian will come in time, it ends
- 1:42:12Speaker 1: up forcing her reason is about to leave because she's
- 1:42:15Speaker 1: like spitting out him and he's like, stupid human, stupid human.
- 1:42:18Speaker 1: He's about to leave, and she goes, wait five days
- 1:42:21Speaker 1: and he's like, ah, ten, She goes five and he
- 1:42:25Speaker 1: goes one week. So she says deal, yeah, and then
- 1:42:29Speaker 1: he heals her. And so the bargain was he heals
- 1:42:32Speaker 1: her and one week of every single month for the
- 1:42:34Speaker 1: rest of her life if she survives, she has to
- 1:42:38Speaker 1: go live in the night car with him. So what
- 1:42:41Speaker 1: it did, though was so recentn heals her arm and
- 1:42:44Speaker 1: leaves her marked with a permanent magical tattoo symbolizing their bargain.
- 1:42:49Speaker 1: And she didn't know this was going to happen. Chiky boy,
- 1:42:52Speaker 1: She's like, what the hell is this? Kiky boy, and
- 1:42:54Speaker 1: there's an eye on her Palm ends up helping her.
- 1:42:58Speaker 1: By the way, Farah realizes Recent's true motive was to
- 1:43:00Speaker 1: spite Tamlin, and she has been caught in his trap.
- 1:43:04Speaker 1: So because he says to her, she's going, get this
- 1:43:07Speaker 1: off my arm, and she's like, why are you scared
- 1:43:09Speaker 1: of certain high fables here, my high lord? Yeah? And
- 1:43:12Speaker 1: so yeah, obviously she's like, I don't want to fucking Tamlin,
- 1:43:14Speaker 1: and I did deal with the devil.
- 1:43:15Speaker 2: I've got quotes. Unless this lack of gratitude and appreciation
- 1:43:19Speaker 2: is because you fear a certain.
- 1:43:20Speaker 1: High lord's reaction, you go, that's what he said. Lack
- 1:43:25Speaker 1: of gratitude is right. He saved your wife. Bro. I
- 1:43:29Speaker 1: really like how Reesan was depicted and what he turned into.
- 1:43:34Speaker 1: I am not gonna lie character development on recent best
- 1:43:36Speaker 1: in the book, best in the book, I think, maybe
- 1:43:39Speaker 1: to be fair, but says one thing I didn't like
- 1:43:41Speaker 1: he did. We'll get to that. Oh, no, there's one
- 1:43:43Speaker 1: thing I didn't like he did either. There's a few
- 1:43:45Speaker 1: things I didn't like he did, but there was one
- 1:43:46Speaker 1: that like. I was like, oh, the reasons he did them, Yeah,
- 1:43:50Speaker 1: it makes sense. Yes, Chapter thirty eight Farr struggles through
- 1:43:56Speaker 1: cruel and impossible chores assigned by Amarantha's guards, haunted by
- 1:44:02Speaker 1: the bargain she made with reesand and the magical tattoo
- 1:44:04Speaker 1: marking her while scrubbing a filthy marble hallway, she is
- 1:44:09Speaker 1: secretly helped by the Lady Court, sorry by the Lady
- 1:44:12Speaker 1: of the Autumn Court, who provides her clean water as
- 1:44:15Speaker 1: repayment for Farr saving Lucian Loution is her because loutions
- 1:44:19Speaker 1: from the Autumn Court, but he's left. The next day,
- 1:44:21Speaker 1: Farah is forced to sort lentils from ashes in she
- 1:44:25Speaker 1: doesn't know whose room it is. Pause, what were lentils? Lentils?
- 1:44:29Speaker 2: Yeah, I think that they are food. Lentils are like
- 1:44:32Speaker 2: the les thought. I looked it up because I paused
- 1:44:34Speaker 2: and looked up on my phone what lentils? When it
- 1:44:35Speaker 2: came up with food? And what the fuck she cleaning food?
- 1:44:37Speaker 1: The guards said to her, she didn't know whose room
- 1:44:41Speaker 1: it was. They put her in this room, and they said,
- 1:44:44Speaker 1: one of the slaves or something whatever foolishly spilt lentils
- 1:44:49Speaker 1: into the fireplace of this high lord. You clean it.
- 1:44:53Speaker 1: If it's not clean by the time they're back, Dad,
- 1:44:55Speaker 1: you're dead dad literally what crazy and so h. Favor
- 1:45:02Speaker 1: is forced to sort the lentils from the ashes in
- 1:45:05Speaker 1: recense fireplace and we figure out his resence, only to
- 1:45:09Speaker 1: be caught by him mid task. Their tense exchange reveals
- 1:45:12Speaker 1: more about Recen's powers, his defiance of Amarantha, and Favor
- 1:45:17Speaker 1: is growing awareness of how dangerous and manipulative he truly is.
- 1:45:22Speaker 1: In the end, Recent uses his magic to clean Favor
- 1:45:26Speaker 1: and her surroundings, spares her from further torment, and asserts
- 1:45:29Speaker 1: his control over the guards, leaving Favor unnerved but momentarily safe.
- 1:45:35Speaker 2: Yeah, so Recence said, don't touch her anymore. Yep, she's mine.
- 1:45:39Speaker 1: Yep.
- 1:45:39Speaker 2: I also thought when we found out it was recent room,
- 1:45:43Speaker 2: I thought they were going to have sex.
- 1:45:44Speaker 1: So did I. I'm not gonna lie. I thought they
- 1:45:46Speaker 1: were gonna boint. I think you planted a seed. Sorry,
- 1:45:50Speaker 1: it's gonna happen. I've planned a like a g Nali seed.
- 1:45:53Speaker 2: Yeah, but it was nothing was sexy leading up to it,
- 1:45:56Speaker 2: So I was like, maybe not true, but I didn't
- 1:45:57Speaker 2: know what lentils were.
- 1:45:58Speaker 1: If her in Recent don't ever have some sort of
- 1:46:01Speaker 1: sexual relationship in the whole series, I'm not gonna lie
- 1:46:05Speaker 1: not worth the read. Yeah, they've got to too, and
- 1:46:09Speaker 1: they both like the hottest characters. Yes, Tamlin's good looking.
- 1:46:13Speaker 2: Recent what at the end of that chapter, I didn't
- 1:46:16Speaker 2: quite understand this Recent said, I had my reasons to
- 1:46:20Speaker 2: be out then when she went, when he went to Finite.
- 1:46:22Speaker 2: So yeah, do not think furi that that did not
- 1:46:25Speaker 2: cost me. Why did he have his reasons to be
- 1:46:27Speaker 2: at Finite? That went over my head?
- 1:46:28Speaker 1: I don't actually know. It doesn't get said. Yeah, I
- 1:46:32Speaker 1: think he had reasons because he It's kind of it's
- 1:46:37Speaker 1: kind of like he planned to see her, That's what
- 1:46:40Speaker 1: I'm starting to think. Yeah, so it's like he knew
- 1:46:43Speaker 1: of her existence already somehow. Yeah. But also he couldn't have.
- 1:46:47Speaker 1: But he could have because he's so powerful. I don't know.
- 1:46:49Speaker 1: It is crazy though, So maybe he saw in the
- 1:46:51Speaker 1: woods or something. We don't know. Maybe what. So another
- 1:46:54Speaker 1: thing you find out about Recent in this chapter is
- 1:46:57Speaker 1: so she said, because Resand is actually like quite a
- 1:47:02Speaker 1: bit more powerful than the other high lords. So she
- 1:47:04Speaker 1: actually asks why d Dan morant to let you keep
- 1:47:08Speaker 1: some of your powers because you're her whore? Crazy to say?
- 1:47:12Speaker 1: And he, I don't know. I think. He says no,
- 1:47:16Speaker 1: and he's like, which is just a and what's the word. Basically,
- 1:47:21Speaker 1: he says like, no, she didn't let me keep any
- 1:47:23Speaker 1: of my powers, which is just a true testament to
- 1:47:24Speaker 1: what I truly am. And so she then says, do
- 1:47:29Speaker 1: you also like, is Tamlin the only one that turns
- 1:47:31Speaker 1: to a beast? And they all have all the high
- 1:47:34Speaker 1: lords do have a shape shifting power. They're not all
- 1:47:36Speaker 1: just a beast and Resens is sick. Yeah, he gets wings. Yeah,
- 1:47:39Speaker 1: he's got these massive talents that come out and these
- 1:47:42Speaker 1: sick black wings. But he doesn't like having a beast faced,
- 1:47:46Speaker 1: so he keeps his hot he keeps like his mad
- 1:47:49Speaker 1: sexy body like abs and shit, and he keeps his head.
- 1:47:52Speaker 1: But then he just has wings. He keeps his arm
- 1:47:54Speaker 1: muscley arms, but he has talents, like he just looks hectic.
- 1:47:56Speaker 1: Yeah that's cool, very good. So she finds out about
- 1:48:00Speaker 1: and so then after that, yeah, he tells the guards
- 1:48:01Speaker 1: no more tasks, like, no more choices for her. And
- 1:48:03Speaker 1: also after this she gets two hot meals a day. Yeah,
- 1:48:06Speaker 1: and they were treading a leg shit until recent said that. Yeah, Okay.
- 1:48:10Speaker 1: Chapter thirty nine Favor Endures days of isolation and degradation
- 1:48:15Speaker 1: after her bargain with recent receiving food but no companionship,
- 1:48:21Speaker 1: and is eventually taken by shadowy night court servants to
- 1:48:26Speaker 1: be bathed, painted, and dressed in revealing attire for Amarantha's court. Yeah,
- 1:48:33Speaker 1: this was sus. So, this was really sus. She just
- 1:48:35Speaker 1: gets like she's alone for days. She's getting fed, which
- 1:48:38Speaker 1: is good, no more chores, but she's just fucking alone, right, Yeah,
- 1:48:41Speaker 1: and then she gets taken by some shadowy figures to
- 1:48:47Speaker 1: a room. They bathe her, and then they paint her
- 1:48:51Speaker 1: and then they just put like cloth that's covering her
- 1:48:53Speaker 1: boobs and her vagina and barely any of her butt.
- 1:48:57Speaker 1: And then she gets take so Reson forces her to
- 1:49:02Speaker 1: attend nightly parties at his side. And the first one
- 1:49:08Speaker 1: that he takes her to, she goes out there, everyone's there,
- 1:49:11Speaker 1: Tamlin's there, loose to everyone's there, right, and he says
- 1:49:15Speaker 1: to have some wine and alice. One of her rules
- 1:49:18Speaker 1: was do not drink this. Why and so he well,
- 1:49:22Speaker 1: he forces her to. Yeah, she has no choice. As
- 1:49:25Speaker 1: soon as she SIPs it, gone, she said she's gone.
- 1:49:28Speaker 1: Wakes up the next day and she is in the
- 1:49:31Speaker 1: dungeon vomiting. Yeah. By the way, Lucian comes that day.
- 1:49:38Speaker 1: He comes in and he's like, what have you done?
- 1:49:40Speaker 1: You made a deal with him. She's like, I was dying.
- 1:49:44Speaker 1: You weren't coming, because of course I would have come.
- 1:49:47Speaker 1: She's like, I was dying, but she would have died too,
- 1:49:50Speaker 1: because he's like, this is the first day I could walk.
- 1:49:52Speaker 1: So that was the first day she was going. That
- 1:49:53Speaker 1: was the first day he could walk. That's all. That's
- 1:49:55Speaker 1: when she finds out about Yeah. So basically she like,
- 1:50:00Speaker 1: what happened? And he's like, you don't want to know,
- 1:50:02Speaker 1: You really don't want to know, And she goes like,
- 1:50:05Speaker 1: what happened? And he said, basically, Resent got you to
- 1:50:09Speaker 1: dance the whole night, sitting on his lap in a
- 1:50:12Speaker 1: very revealing way, and just just to get to Tamblin.
- 1:50:16Speaker 1: So she was drugged.
- 1:50:17Speaker 2: But at this point I was kind of hating Resent
- 1:50:20Speaker 2: because he was coming across as possessive and it was
- 1:50:24Speaker 2: alluding to making Tamilin jealous. Although you didn't think it
- 1:50:27Speaker 2: would really work, it was kind of making him jealous.
- 1:50:29Speaker 2: So Tamilin would hate Recent not to build anger towards
- 1:50:34Speaker 2: Amarantha yeah, so you're hating Recent. And then he came
- 1:50:37Speaker 2: across as very possessive and he's like, hell, well, I
- 1:50:38Speaker 2: know if anyone else touches you, and that's why the
- 1:50:41Speaker 2: pain I was getting sussed when he's like, she only
- 1:50:43Speaker 2: touched my He.
- 1:50:44Speaker 1: Would never, he would. He was touching her all over,
- 1:50:46Speaker 1: but she always woke up with smudged paint, so she
- 1:50:49Speaker 1: knew she had been touched, but she was never touched
- 1:50:51Speaker 1: in private parts. Yeah she knows all that. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:50:55Speaker 1: so because she would always wake up and not remember anything.
- 1:50:58Speaker 1: Lucian finally visits her, explained why he couldn't come sooner,
- 1:51:01Speaker 1: assuring her she wasn't fully violated and that Tmalin saw
- 1:51:04Speaker 1: everything but was powerful to powerless to intervene. Reesen later
- 1:51:08Speaker 1: performs a public execution in the Throne Room, killing a
- 1:51:12Speaker 1: summer court fairy, swiftly and mercifully, hinting that even his
- 1:51:17Speaker 1: cruelty may serve a deeper strategy in the deadly game
- 1:51:21Speaker 1: he's playing with Amarantha so far figures out, yeah, that
- 1:51:25Speaker 1: Recent is actually playing games with Amarantha but hiding it
- 1:51:28Speaker 1: from Amarantha.
- 1:51:30Speaker 2: Yeah, because this fairy that Resin just killed tried to escape,
- 1:51:35Speaker 2: and when recent took over his mind, all the thoughts
- 1:51:38Speaker 2: of the people who the fairies, who helped this one,
- 1:51:42Speaker 2: and his reason for leaving, he.
- 1:51:44Speaker 1: Kept to himself. So, yeah, there was more involved, Yeah,
- 1:51:46Speaker 1: and he kept that to himself so he didn't have
- 1:51:48Speaker 1: to hurt more people. When Amarantha also said kill his mind,
- 1:51:51Speaker 1: but don't actually kill him, kill the fairy's mind, not
- 1:51:53Speaker 1: actually him, yeah, she said yeah, yeah, yeah, she said, like,
- 1:51:55Speaker 1: kill his mind, and then he just kills him. Yeah,
- 1:51:57Speaker 1: he just make him dumb, so he lives with no mind.
- 1:51:59Speaker 1: And he's like, oh, so it didn't mean to kill him.
- 1:52:01Speaker 1: So we actually saved the fairy in the long run,
- 1:52:02Speaker 1: pretty much killing him quickly and lying about who else
- 1:52:05Speaker 1: was involved. Some normal So you're seeing his character slightly
- 1:52:11Speaker 1: be a little bit better. He's still thinking reason you
- 1:52:14Speaker 1: still hate him? Yeah, and you don't really know yet,
- 1:52:16Speaker 1: you know, you're not one hundred percent short. Yeah. So
- 1:52:19Speaker 1: and then chapter forty is task number two, Trial number two.
- 1:52:23Speaker 1: This one's fun. Now, I didn't I didn't, I know,
- 1:52:25Speaker 1: I just the whole chapter was the trial, and I
- 1:52:28Speaker 1: just know it off my heart because I really liked
- 1:52:29Speaker 1: this chapter. I'm not gonna lie. Yeah, what have you
- 1:52:31Speaker 1: got written down? I wrote that?
- 1:52:34Speaker 2: So the trial was three kind of levers, and she
- 1:52:38Speaker 2: obviously is illiterate and written on each one.
- 1:52:41Speaker 1: What was the question to it was? So she goes out,
- 1:52:45Speaker 1: everyone's there for the trial, and then what happens is
- 1:52:48Speaker 1: the floor, Yeah, that's the lower Yeah. And when it's lowering,
- 1:52:53Speaker 1: what's being revealed is there's like a cage, right, and
- 1:52:58Speaker 1: it's splitting like what revealed, it's splitting the area that's
- 1:53:03Speaker 1: being lowered in half or something like that. And on
- 1:53:05Speaker 1: the other side of the fucking bars is Lucian tied up.
- 1:53:09Speaker 1: I think he was naked too. I don't know why,
- 1:53:11Speaker 1: maybe maybe, but Basi's tied up. And then her there's
- 1:53:15Speaker 1: three levers one, two, and three and the whole task
- 1:53:21Speaker 1: is to read this passage of riding and then pull
- 1:53:24Speaker 1: the appropriate level to answer the question. And she can't read.
- 1:53:27Speaker 1: Did Amarantha know she couldn't read? She didn't know that,
- 1:53:30Speaker 1: she had no idea. Yeah, And the whole time, I'm
- 1:53:33Speaker 1: thinking this pitch is going to die because she can't read.
- 1:53:36Speaker 1: That's what I was thinking, right, So sad, So what's when?
- 1:53:40Speaker 1: So what's happening is Basically it's a timed trial because
- 1:53:44Speaker 1: there's spikes on the ceiling that are coming down slowly.
- 1:53:49Speaker 1: And yeah, Lucien Loucian and her are going to die.
- 1:53:52Speaker 1: If she can't do it, they're both going to die. Yeah,
- 1:53:54Speaker 1: and yeah, she's getting super close. She can't read it.
- 1:53:57Speaker 1: She's making out some words, and then Lucia is yelling out.
- 1:54:02Speaker 5: Just pick one.
- 1:54:03Speaker 1: You can tell you just want to say, you fucking idiot,
- 1:54:05Speaker 1: just pick one, And so she goes up this is important.
- 1:54:10Speaker 1: With the hand of the new tattoo. She goes to
- 1:54:13Speaker 1: Paul Lever wincing pain, and she doesn't really realize what's
- 1:54:17Speaker 1: happening yet, and then she pulls another wincing pain and
- 1:54:21Speaker 1: then the idiot goes back to wins pain, and finally
- 1:54:25Speaker 1: she's realizing that the one she goes towards it doesn't
- 1:54:29Speaker 1: have winty painter as much, and it's a poll pulls it.
- 1:54:32Speaker 1: Who wasn't that's helping her recent he's now connected to
- 1:54:34Speaker 1: her and see thrust see stuff through the eye tattoo
- 1:54:36Speaker 1: on the palm of her hand. Genius genius. And so
- 1:54:39Speaker 1: then what happens is so she she was supposed to
- 1:54:42Speaker 1: die and she knew she was going to die until
- 1:54:44Speaker 1: she just took the risk and Recent helped her. She
- 1:54:46Speaker 1: was devo that she got helped. She's like, I shouldn't
- 1:54:48Speaker 1: be here. Was like cares. Yeah, she kept on saying like,
- 1:54:52Speaker 1: So he ends up entering her mind and going don't cry,
- 1:54:55Speaker 1: don't let amaranthesy you cry. So she has to hold strong,
- 1:54:57Speaker 1: stay strong, stay strong, and then she weeps when she
- 1:55:00Speaker 1: it's back to a dungeon for like hours. She says,
- 1:55:02Speaker 1: I don't deserve to be. Yeah, because just for some reason,
- 1:55:04Speaker 1: because she thinks she doesn't deserve to be or she
- 1:55:06Speaker 1: should be. This not that I've had any near death experiences,
- 1:55:09Speaker 1: but well she had.
- 1:55:10Speaker 2: The fact that she hates Recent makes it worse because
- 1:55:14Speaker 2: he's the one who saved her.
- 1:55:15Speaker 1: So he's like, oh, no return. Yeah. So actually, so
- 1:55:19Speaker 1: that is chapter forty one bit of an l of
- 1:55:21Speaker 1: a challenge to be honest, three levers like with a
- 1:55:24Speaker 1: thing falling down. The first challenge was actually cool, the first,
- 1:55:26Speaker 1: the second very classic, like the third one cool, the
- 1:55:29Speaker 1: second one like a scuby doo scene. Yeah, it is like,
- 1:55:31Speaker 1: what the hell you're giving her a thirty three percent chances?
- 1:55:35Speaker 1: She does say that too, Amarantha says, I've only given
- 1:55:38Speaker 1: you three levels. I'm giving you some help. Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:55:40Speaker 1: But so chapter forty one is after surviving the second trial,
- 1:55:44Speaker 1: Fayer falls into despair, numbing herself with fairy wine. Basically
- 1:55:48Speaker 1: from there, every single day she comes and gets picked
- 1:55:52Speaker 1: up because she has another four months to our next trial.
- 1:55:55Speaker 1: She gets picked up every single day, and by these
- 1:55:59Speaker 1: night court servants dressed up, painted and then taken drinks
- 1:56:04Speaker 1: the wine, and she ends up just like started looking
- 1:56:06Speaker 1: forward to her She just looked forward to it because
- 1:56:08Speaker 1: it would numb her.
- 1:56:08Speaker 2: Yeah, And she was like in a state of depression.
- 1:56:10Speaker 2: She was definitely depressed because she also didn't think she
- 1:56:12Speaker 2: couldn't solve the riddle. Yeah, no at all. And she
- 1:56:15Speaker 2: kept thinking about it and she's like why this is
- 1:56:16Speaker 2: so hard? And it was in a stat of depression
- 1:56:18Speaker 2: and she's like, I'm not going to win this third one.
- 1:56:19Speaker 2: She was down herself, and then the wine was an escape.
- 1:56:21Speaker 1: I think the reason she was, Yeah, she was she
- 1:56:24Speaker 1: said to herself that second one, I should have died,
- 1:56:27Speaker 1: and recent helped me. So she is saying to herself
- 1:56:30Speaker 1: in the third one, she's it's imminent death. There's then
- 1:56:33Speaker 1: a fan yeah, and so then in chapter four, okay,
- 1:56:37Speaker 1: one of the time, so when she's getting taken to panted,
- 1:56:41Speaker 1: so she overhears one of the times she's taken by
- 1:56:46Speaker 1: Rescan's shadow servants. She oversees a secret conversation between the
- 1:56:49Speaker 1: atoll and a mysterious creature about the King of Highburones,
- 1:56:53Speaker 1: growing dissatisfaction and looming plans for war. The moment reveals
- 1:56:57Speaker 1: that Resin's handmaids are also spar and that greater dangers
- 1:57:01Speaker 1: threatened not just Farah, but the entire Mordal Realm. Later,
- 1:57:05Speaker 1: while trapped in herself and emotionally broken, Fara hears a
- 1:57:08Speaker 1: hauntingly beautiful melody that stirs her soul and reminds her
- 1:57:13Speaker 1: of love, light and the reasons she must keep fighting.
- 1:57:17Speaker 1: The music becomes a spiritual balm, reigniting her will to live,
- 1:57:21Speaker 1: just two days before her final and most dangerous child.
- 1:57:24Speaker 1: Do we ever find out where that comes from? The music?
- 1:57:27Speaker 1: I reckon it's Tamlin doing something with magic. Well, at
- 1:57:31Speaker 1: the at the end, there was a Sunset's that music
- 1:57:34Speaker 1: at the end too, was the sunrise sunset? What's the
- 1:57:36Speaker 1: music playing the same music? No? I don't know where
- 1:57:40Speaker 1: that came from.
- 1:57:40Speaker 2: But also that conversation they overheard spark something too, because
- 1:57:46Speaker 2: she's like everyone else is hating Amarantha as much as
- 1:57:48Speaker 2: she is, which was interesting. And also the King of
- 1:57:51Speaker 2: Highburn was dissatisfcied, dissatisfied with how Amarantha was treating well,
- 1:57:58Speaker 2: he was just because of the overlappingness of Julian Durien.
- 1:58:02Speaker 1: She just he doesn't give a shit about favor. No,
- 1:58:05Speaker 1: he's just annoyed that Amarantha's wasting three months that they
- 1:58:10Speaker 1: could be using to overtake the mortal realm, just to
- 1:58:13Speaker 1: just to toy with Favra, Like he doesn't give a
- 1:58:16Speaker 1: fuck about any of that that's beneath him. But far
- 1:58:19Speaker 1: just sorry. Amarantha hates humans so much she loves to
- 1:58:21Speaker 1: see the torture. Yeah, I'll tell you what the riddle.
- 1:58:25Speaker 2: I know I was wrong, but Amarantha's still couldn't kills them,
- 1:58:30Speaker 2: kills him slowly three months? You're not from Oh, no,
- 1:58:33Speaker 2: we should have had the DDLE again.
- 1:58:34Speaker 1: I don't have it, Doude. No, I don't know neither. Okay.
- 1:58:38Speaker 1: Chapter forty two, on the eve of her final trial,
- 1:58:43Speaker 1: is again at all at a ball. Yeah, she's pulled
- 1:58:48Speaker 1: into a passionate stolen moment with Tamblin dumb. He comes over,
- 1:58:53Speaker 1: so so Resond's busy overt fairies and she's like on
- 1:58:57Speaker 1: the art skirts waiting for Reson to come get her
- 1:58:58Speaker 1: because she doesn't like to walk around on her own, right,
- 1:59:00Speaker 1: and everyone's eyes on her all the time, and so
- 1:59:03Speaker 1: she she sees Tamblin but then looks away, looks back.
- 1:59:07Speaker 1: He's gone. And then what she feels up next to
- 1:59:10Speaker 1: is someone come up and grazes her somehow skin somewhere,
- 1:59:13Speaker 1: and she's like, and he stops next to her, and
- 1:59:16Speaker 1: he really she realizes that he is next to her,
- 1:59:18Speaker 1: and she grabs his hand and then he lets go.
- 1:59:22Speaker 1: He starts walking away, and then he turns around, small smoke,
- 1:59:25Speaker 1: and she goes that means follow. It's like when you've
- 1:59:28Speaker 1: been getting with a girl a night And she's like, yeah,
- 1:59:34Speaker 1: a quiet place to pash, a quiet place all we're
- 1:59:37Speaker 1: gonna do it in front of everyone. He gets yeah,
- 1:59:41Speaker 1: and I was like, you idiot, So a little bit
- 1:59:45Speaker 1: of a sexy scene. They were gonna fuck. They were
- 1:59:47Speaker 1: like getting closed off right. A stolen moment with Tamlin
- 1:59:50Speaker 1: only be only to be interrupted and exposed by Recent.
- 1:59:54Speaker 1: They so they went and they went into a small room,
- 1:59:59Speaker 1: a dark room, and then they were getting all down
- 2:00:01Speaker 1: and dirty, and then Yeah Recent just goes he'sicky, that
- 2:00:06Speaker 1: was getting up to you dirty dogs. And then basically
- 2:00:10Speaker 1: Tamlin and Recent both hears someone about to open the door,
- 2:00:13Speaker 1: and Recent, I don't know what he told to get away,
- 2:00:21Speaker 1: it's be a good boy and leave. He's like, what
- 2:00:23Speaker 1: are you guys doing? Be a good boy and fucking leave,
- 2:00:26Speaker 1: And so Tamlin leaves. But then Amarantha and some crew
- 2:00:29Speaker 1: come to look in the door, and Resent just starts
- 2:00:32Speaker 1: kissing Favor.
- 2:00:33Speaker 2: This is when I started to hate Yeah Recent, because
- 2:00:36Speaker 2: he like forced himself on her. Yeah, and the way
- 2:00:38Speaker 2: she was describing us, like what's going on?
- 2:00:40Speaker 1: She wasn't a fan, but is like I knew this
- 2:00:44Speaker 1: was going So they chat said it's to protect them both.
- 2:00:48Speaker 2: Yeah, it was to protect him, and it's building It's
- 2:00:50Speaker 2: sort of also building the hatred because Tamilin didn't know
- 2:00:53Speaker 2: why he was doing it. Building the hatred from Tamblin
- 2:00:55Speaker 2: towards Amarantha.
- 2:00:56Speaker 1: Well, the whole reason that Resen is doing all this stuff,
- 2:01:00Speaker 1: doing the humiliating of Pharah is because he wants Tamlin
- 2:01:02Speaker 1: to see it, and he knows that Tamarin's going to
- 2:01:05Speaker 1: hate Recent for it. But he's betting. He's taking a risk.
- 2:01:08Speaker 1: He's betting on the fact that Tamlin's actually going to
- 2:01:10Speaker 1: blame Amarantha for it. M right, so still crazy. Publicly
- 2:01:15Speaker 1: humiliated and dismissed, Pharaoh returns to her cell, only for
- 2:01:18Speaker 1: Reson to later appear and confide in her, revealing his
- 2:01:21Speaker 1: own torment as Amarantha's prisoner and his strategic reasons for
- 2:01:26Speaker 1: drugging but never truly violating her. He explains that provoking
- 2:01:30Speaker 1: Tamlin's rage is part of his plan to ultimately destroy Amarantha,
- 2:01:34Speaker 1: and that even his kiss was a calculated move to
- 2:01:37Speaker 1: shield Fearrh from worse punishment. The conversation on veals Resent's vulnerability,
- 2:01:42Speaker 1: his past, and his deep concern for his people and court,
- 2:01:46Speaker 1: painting a more complex picture of the man Fara thought
- 2:01:48Speaker 1: she hated. In the end, she realizes that despite his methods,
- 2:01:53Speaker 1: Recent has been protecting her all along, even making a
- 2:01:56Speaker 1: lesser bargain when he could have demanded much more. Now,
- 2:02:00Speaker 1: one thing we find out is that Resen's dad killed
- 2:02:05Speaker 1: Talalent's dad. We do find that out. I wrote that
- 2:02:07Speaker 1: down somewhere. Yeah.
- 2:02:08Speaker 2: I also like Resent's powers, being able to see things
- 2:02:12Speaker 2: in a different light. I like Resent after after figuring
- 2:02:14Speaker 2: all that out, very cool when there's all these sly
- 2:02:16Speaker 2: little things.
- 2:02:17Speaker 1: He's such an intricate character. I think he's Yeah, his
- 2:02:20Speaker 1: character development is definitely. Don't like that he' kind of
- 2:02:22Speaker 1: sexually assaulted it. But no, one hundred percent, regardless of
- 2:02:26Speaker 1: the reasons. Yeah, yeah, regardless, not on. But it's fantasy.
- 2:02:30Speaker 1: It is fantasy and it is a story.
- 2:02:32Speaker 2: So chapter forty three, the final challenge, This had a
- 2:02:38Speaker 2: good kicker, Jake, didn't it. I didn't see that coming,
- 2:02:41Speaker 2: did you?
- 2:02:41Speaker 1: What happened? No, I was like at all.
- 2:02:44Speaker 2: So I'll explain. The final challenge was three fairies, all innocent,
- 2:02:50Speaker 2: came in looded, yeah, hooded, hooded, hooded, told to get
- 2:02:54Speaker 2: on their knees yep, and then an ash dagger three
- 2:02:58Speaker 2: individual ash daggers.
- 2:02:59Speaker 4: Yep.
- 2:03:00Speaker 1: Al Wood, you know that that's what kills fairies, and
- 2:03:03Speaker 1: she goes. All you have to do is kill these
- 2:03:04Speaker 1: three innocent fairies and your tandlin is yours. Yeah, And
- 2:03:08Speaker 1: I was like school. Yeah. I was like, oh, she's
- 2:03:11Speaker 1: gonna do my problem. Yeah. I was like, Favor is
- 2:03:13Speaker 1: a beast, but she was torn. Yeah, she was torn.
- 2:03:16Speaker 2: And so first fairy fairy, she goes to kill Hood
- 2:03:20Speaker 2: comes off male and he's.
- 2:03:21Speaker 1: Like, noh, yeah, she has to take that. She makes
- 2:03:23Speaker 1: she has to pick up a ash blade. She's gonna
- 2:03:26Speaker 1: do it. And then Ameretha goes, wait, take this hood off. Yeah,
- 2:03:30Speaker 1: so she has to look them in the eyes and
- 2:03:32Speaker 1: he's like, please, don't do it. The first one was
- 2:03:33Speaker 1: easy to kill. Please, And she's like and then and
- 2:03:37Speaker 1: then you're reading it and it goes and then I
- 2:03:39Speaker 1: slowly inserted and in his chest and I was like, shit,
- 2:03:42Speaker 1: fair Holy shit girl. It was going like, these fairies
- 2:03:46Speaker 1: probably are families, just as much as I love Tamlin.
- 2:03:49Speaker 1: And also it's pretty well known now that fairy children,
- 2:03:54Speaker 1: especially high fay children, rare. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, dying breed
- 2:03:59Speaker 1: very for some reason, it's really hard for them to procreate.
- 2:04:02Speaker 2: Would you if you were put in the same position
- 2:04:05Speaker 2: as Favor, would you kill three people.
- 2:04:07Speaker 1: To save the one you love? But I'm not just
- 2:04:09Speaker 1: saving the one I love, You're also saving allyone. Yeah,
- 2:04:14Speaker 1: it's a no brainer. You don't want to have to
- 2:04:16Speaker 1: put yourself, you don't want to have to change who
- 2:04:19Speaker 1: you are to do it right. But the alternative is
- 2:04:24Speaker 1: Amarantha kills me in a split second. These three fairies
- 2:04:27Speaker 1: get to live, but everyone's trapped under the night Court
- 2:04:30Speaker 1: and also the Mortal lands forget about them. Yeah they're gone.
- 2:04:34Speaker 1: Yeah yeah. So it's like, I'm sorry, it's three these
- 2:04:36Speaker 1: three fairies lives or any decisions. Yeah. Yeah, she was rattled,
- 2:04:41Speaker 1: but she was rattled right, so whatever I got. So
- 2:04:44Speaker 1: for a final trail, fairries brought before Amarantha. The task
- 2:04:47Speaker 1: is three stabbing three seemingly innocent fairies in the heart
- 2:04:51Speaker 1: to win her freedom. And and throughout all this she's
- 2:04:56Speaker 1: looking up at Tamlin right, and he is is not
- 2:05:01Speaker 1: making eye contact with her, and she's like, weird ah,
- 2:05:04Speaker 1: And he's not showing any expression, he's not showing distress,
- 2:05:07Speaker 1: nothing right, but he's up there. It's him up there
- 2:05:10Speaker 1: next to Amarantha. It's him. And so then Fairy too.
- 2:05:15Speaker 2: Was a young girl, young girl, and she's like, do
- 2:05:17Speaker 2: it take me to a place where I can live forever.
- 2:05:21Speaker 1: Because she just saw Farah kill that fairy. The first one.
- 2:05:24Speaker 1: She's like, well, obviously she's going to be able to
- 2:05:25Speaker 1: kill a second, right, So she does start doing some
- 2:05:28Speaker 1: sort of praying and then she's like looking for her
- 2:05:30Speaker 1: and she goes, do it is taking her time off?
- 2:05:34Speaker 1: Didn't she say something like this won't help you or
- 2:05:36Speaker 1: something like oh this won't help you in my world
- 2:05:37Speaker 1: fucking know, like just and then bull she kills her
- 2:05:40Speaker 1: second one dead, second one dead. This is easy, and
- 2:05:45Speaker 1: then yeah, true, I was like okay, and then okay, okay.
- 2:05:53Speaker 1: When the final fairy is to be revealed, they take
- 2:05:57Speaker 1: off the hood the hood and who is it? Tablin?
- 2:06:00Speaker 1: It's Tablin thought I thought he was next to Amarantha.
- 2:06:03Speaker 1: And then she looks back up he's got Amarantha and
- 2:06:06Speaker 1: it's the at all that was shape shifted into Tamlin
- 2:06:09Speaker 1: and they're all laughing chuckle. So she looks and basically
- 2:06:15Speaker 1: Amarantha is like, okay, well, here's the third one you
- 2:06:19Speaker 1: gotta kill hmm. And once he's dead, he's yours. And
- 2:06:21Speaker 1: at face value, Farah can't win. Parah can't win either.
- 2:06:24Speaker 2: She lives in Tamlin dies and then it's kind of
- 2:06:28Speaker 2: dune from Amarantha to be fair well.
- 2:06:30Speaker 1: That's a good point. But she thinks it was a
- 2:06:33Speaker 1: semi gamble from Amarantha, but big gamble was betting on Farabinda.
- 2:06:39Speaker 2: Yeah, I guess so so basically, but knowing how much
- 2:06:44Speaker 2: effort Amarantha is put into keeping Tamblin at her sight
- 2:06:47Speaker 2: even though he absolutely hates her guts and then putting
- 2:06:51Speaker 2: him up the collateral doesn't make sense to me at all,
- 2:06:53Speaker 2: even though she knows that.
- 2:06:54Speaker 1: But even if Farah didn't know that, what's her name's heart,
- 2:06:58Speaker 1: we'll get to that. Yeah, Okay, so I thought it
- 2:07:01Speaker 1: was a dumb decision. I personally also think's dumb. Yeah,
- 2:07:04Speaker 1: I was too invested to think about it though. Yeah.
- 2:07:06Speaker 1: So what happens is Fayra is obviously torn. She's like,
- 2:07:11Speaker 1: do I now have to make an even bigger decision
- 2:07:14Speaker 1: and kill the one I love to save everyone else
- 2:07:16Speaker 1: in his life? And so she's thinking, and then she
- 2:07:20Speaker 1: starts to think to herself like, wait, I I just
- 2:07:24Speaker 1: don't see Amarantha letting Tamlin die Because Amarantha's in love
- 2:07:30Speaker 1: with She's doing all of this is literally because he
- 2:07:33Speaker 1: would not be her fucking husband, right, or because she
- 2:07:38Speaker 1: wouldn't like he wouldn't sleep with her and be hers.
- 2:07:41Speaker 1: She's like, what's going on here? And then she realizes
- 2:07:43Speaker 1: like she's having flashback memories of all these times that
- 2:07:47Speaker 1: people have said to Tamlin or you're quite warm or
- 2:07:51Speaker 1: something like that for someone with a heart of stone. Yes,
- 2:07:55Speaker 1: and so she's like what, No, she's wigging out. So
- 2:07:59Speaker 1: she's she remembers Lucien saying it, and then she actually
- 2:08:02Speaker 1: remembers the Atr staying it. And what she says is like,
- 2:08:06Speaker 1: I could have been I could have been glamored to
- 2:08:09Speaker 1: the A tour where I didn't even see him, but
- 2:08:11Speaker 1: Tamlin told me to hide. He glamored me from the atour,
- 2:08:14Speaker 1: but not the Ataur from me. Did he do that
- 2:08:17Speaker 1: for a reason? Because the A tour said, oh, Tamlin,
- 2:08:20Speaker 1: for someone with a heart of stone, you're very warm
- 2:08:22Speaker 1: or something like that. And so she's like, is Tamlin's
- 2:08:26Speaker 1: heart literally made of stone? Yeah? And as a reader,
- 2:08:30Speaker 1: we obviously just brushed over that and went over her head. Yeah,
- 2:08:33Speaker 1: and we're like, oh, I was like she little twisty,
- 2:08:38Speaker 1: and so she started to think like, well, Tamilon was
- 2:08:41Speaker 1: doing this on purpose, the reason that I could hear
- 2:08:44Speaker 1: all these conversations when they literally knew I was there
- 2:08:46Speaker 1: because they can feel my fucking heartbeat from a mile away.
- 2:08:49Speaker 1: Is he wanted me to hear it? And so what
- 2:08:52Speaker 1: does she do? Picks up the ash dagger, shabs Talmlon
- 2:08:56Speaker 1: in the heart and it's going and initially she goes, fuck,
- 2:08:59Speaker 1: it's not slowing down, but then she hits she hits
- 2:09:03Speaker 1: a harder stone. They won, they won, and so what
- 2:09:07Speaker 1: do to say? Ferris stabs Tallin in the heart, trusting
- 2:09:09Speaker 1: he would survived to his heartstone, and when he begins healing,
- 2:09:12Speaker 1: it's confirmed she was right. But Amarantha refuses to honor
- 2:09:16Speaker 1: her promise, twisting Pharaoh's words to delay the freeing of
- 2:09:19Speaker 1: Tamlin and Unleasha's brutal magical torture on her. So were
- 2:09:25Speaker 1: Marantha was a liar. Amarantha was a liar. So basically
- 2:09:29Speaker 1: she was like, I said I'd freedom, but I didn't
- 2:09:32Speaker 1: say when. Yeah, and then all there's a bunch of
- 2:09:34Speaker 1: fairies that is trying to go liar, freedom free. They
- 2:09:37Speaker 1: they won. She did it freedom, And Amarantha's like fuck
- 2:09:42Speaker 1: you all, Like, yeah, I didn't say when, it could
- 2:09:46Speaker 1: be when you're dead for all I care, bitch, bitch.
- 2:09:50Speaker 1: And then so what happens is she literally just because
- 2:09:58Speaker 1: I guess in a way it means that did technically fail,
- 2:10:02Speaker 1: she starts to literally kill Farah.
- 2:10:05Speaker 2: M m yeah, She's in agonizing pain. And then Recent
- 2:10:10Speaker 2: comes out of his skin and was like, you can't
- 2:10:12Speaker 2: do this anymore.
- 2:10:13Speaker 1: Yeah, and she has favor. Amarantha comes over towards Farah,
- 2:10:19Speaker 1: and Farah has one of the daggers, and she is it.
- 2:10:24Speaker 1: Does Farah try to go stab her? Lisa did. Tried
- 2:10:27Speaker 1: to stub hers straight in the neck, that's right. Resent
- 2:10:29Speaker 1: was standing there, and Resinn tries to stab Amarantham and
- 2:10:32Speaker 1: she just Recent goes flying. She's like weak and then
- 2:10:35Speaker 1: basically Amarantha just like it's just using magic on Farah
- 2:10:39Speaker 1: and just like crushing her up against the stones and
- 2:10:41Speaker 1: shit like that and just yelling like, admit it, you
- 2:10:44Speaker 1: don't love him, admit it, admit it, you don't love him,
- 2:10:46Speaker 1: and she's just like, I won't admit it. I do
- 2:10:48Speaker 1: love Tambalain, I will not admit it. And Tamblin can't
- 2:10:50Speaker 1: do anything because he's like healing really slow because his
- 2:10:52Speaker 1: magical powers are depleted. And then.
- 2:10:57Speaker 2: I think, but Amarantha there planned the sea of the riddle.
- 2:11:00Speaker 2: As Fay is getting like incruciating, incrusading pain, she's like, oh,
- 2:11:06Speaker 2: the only the riddle and she's like, say that what's
- 2:11:09Speaker 2: going on in my head. She's like, the only thing
- 2:11:10Speaker 2: that can say me now is the ddle. And then
- 2:11:11Speaker 2: she keeps going and she said, he that you don't.
- 2:11:13Speaker 1: Like and also what I'm pretty sure one of the
- 2:11:14Speaker 1: things she says is like, the only thing keeping me
- 2:11:17Speaker 1: together is my love for Tamlin. Yeah, and then she's like,
- 2:11:21Speaker 1: so then each time she gets like smashing against the stone,
- 2:11:23Speaker 1: she's like reading out a thing of the riddle and
- 2:11:25Speaker 1: she's like, reads the first line, She's like and then
- 2:11:28Speaker 1: eventually she goes, I know what it is. And then
- 2:11:31Speaker 1: she's about to die and she goes, love the answer
- 2:11:34Speaker 1: is love. And then from there, because Amarantha, word for words,
- 2:11:42Speaker 1: said if you get the answer right to my riddle,
- 2:11:46Speaker 1: immediately masks are off, powers back, Tamlin's yours, everyone's free
- 2:11:54Speaker 1: fucking some of the spring courts, Masks start falling off,
- 2:11:58Speaker 1: drop dropped, and then Tamlin instantly heals. Tamlin fucks Amarantha
- 2:12:06Speaker 1: up big time. So after Pharasol's a riddle and die
- 2:12:11Speaker 1: and oh yeah, Faarra dies. I didn't think, No, she
- 2:12:14Speaker 1: was almost about it. No, fav is dead. No, no, no, no,
- 2:12:17Speaker 1: then that's no. So she's still alive when Tamlin's beating
- 2:12:21Speaker 1: and she's looking at it through Resan's eyes. Yeah, yeah,
- 2:12:24Speaker 1: but we don't know she's dead. Okay, okay, we don't
- 2:12:25Speaker 1: know if she's dead. So Tamlin's freed from Amarantha's curse unleash,
- 2:12:29Speaker 1: she's his full power, and brutality kills her in a
- 2:12:31Speaker 1: moment of explosive vengeance. Chaos erupts, but many fairies, including
- 2:12:35Speaker 1: Lucian and several high lords, step in to help stop
- 2:12:38Speaker 1: Amarantha's forces. Tamlin cradles Favor's broken body, weeping while the
- 2:12:43Speaker 1: high lords of each court. Basically, so, we didn't know
- 2:12:46Speaker 1: she was dead, and she's on the ground. Yeah, so
- 2:12:48Speaker 1: he kills Amarantha. Tamily kills Amarantha. Everything's good, all the
- 2:12:52Speaker 1: rest of her everyone just like runs away from everyone, right,
- 2:12:54Speaker 1: all the rest of her court. And then she's on
- 2:12:56Speaker 1: the ground and Tamallyin comes over and picks her up,
- 2:12:57Speaker 1: and he's cradling her, and you come to the realization
- 2:13:01Speaker 1: that she's dead and she was watching it through Reesann's
- 2:13:04Speaker 1: eyes because of the tattoo, and so she's dead, but
- 2:13:08Speaker 1: she can still see stuff through Reesann's eyes. And what
- 2:13:12Speaker 1: happens is every high lord from each court comes over
- 2:13:16Speaker 1: and drops like this light on top of Fayr and
- 2:13:20Speaker 1: then Resin comes over. He's like the last one to
- 2:13:23Speaker 1: do it, and he drops a light on top of
- 2:13:24Speaker 1: her and he's like this is basically he's like, this
- 2:13:28Speaker 1: is repayment for her saving everyone, and this is you
- 2:13:31Speaker 1: and I like, debts are settled. Don't come after me
- 2:13:34Speaker 1: now because I did all that shit to her and
- 2:13:35Speaker 1: make you angry. And that just shows how powerful Tamilin is. Yeah. Yeah,
- 2:13:40Speaker 1: everyone's scared of Tamilin. Yeah declaring so recent drops his
- 2:13:44Speaker 1: power last declaring of the debt between them. Repaid Tamlin,
- 2:13:47Speaker 1: with all the magic combined and his love guiding him,
- 2:13:50Speaker 1: kisses Fear and lays his glowing hand on her heart
- 2:13:54Speaker 1: to bring her back to life. Okay, Farr is resurrected
- 2:13:58Speaker 1: by the combined powers of the high warts and Awaykens
- 2:14:01Speaker 1: as a high Fae. See what I said right here,
- 2:14:04Speaker 1: I fucking knew it. Yeah, my right, I knew it.
- 2:14:10Speaker 1: She's now a fairy. She's a high fairy. It was
- 2:14:12Speaker 1: the only way to save it. It is it was
- 2:14:15Speaker 1: her human body now transformed, but her soul still burdened
- 2:14:18Speaker 1: by the lives she took. As she grapples with gilt
- 2:14:21Speaker 1: and her new identity, Camerlin reassures her with love and tenderness.
- 2:14:27Speaker 1: I want to say what I have written down here.
- 2:14:28Speaker 1: Time to have sex. They go and fuck. Yeah, they
- 2:14:32Speaker 1: going for her and Tamilin going fuck. And then so
- 2:14:36Speaker 1: they go. They stay in the court under the mountain
- 2:14:39Speaker 1: and they blink a bit, and then she said, so
- 2:14:43Speaker 1: she knew they were leaving. When they woke up, she
- 2:14:46Speaker 1: was restless and couldn't sleep, and so she felt the
- 2:14:50Speaker 1: urge to go for a walk in the mountain, and
- 2:14:52Speaker 1: she finally she gets to this point where she sees
- 2:14:54Speaker 1: some light and she walks up these stairs to a
- 2:14:56Speaker 1: fucking balcony. Who's there recent And he goes, I guess
- 2:15:00Speaker 1: this is goodbye, and she goes, don't forget. I got
- 2:15:04Speaker 1: to come see you once a week for it. It
- 2:15:05Speaker 1: was kind of like she wanted to. That's that's what
- 2:15:07Speaker 1: I'm saying. It's kind of like she wanted to. It's
- 2:15:09Speaker 1: kind of like if she was to have just said goodbye,
- 2:15:13Speaker 1: hope I never see you again. He wasn't going to
- 2:15:15Speaker 1: hold her to it.
- 2:15:16Speaker 3: Mm.
- 2:15:17Speaker 1: But he goes, you know, what I think he was
- 2:15:19Speaker 1: doing was testing her because he goes to see if
- 2:15:22Speaker 1: to see if she obviously she wants to cut chuckles,
- 2:15:25Speaker 1: and he goes, how could I forget yes?
- 2:15:27Speaker 2: And when he flies off. This was the only thing
- 2:15:29Speaker 2: that alluded to the next book was he saw something
- 2:15:33Speaker 2: in Fayr. I had a double take, and then she's like,
- 2:15:35Speaker 2: would you see and then he's disappeared, like something was
- 2:15:38Speaker 2: part of her as a fairy and you're like, oh,
- 2:15:41Speaker 2: what is it? And then you just don't find out.
- 2:15:42Speaker 1: I assume that's in the next book, which is very interesting.
- 2:15:45Speaker 1: So yeah, she's she's a fucking high fane. Now she's
- 2:15:47Speaker 1: going to be a beast, and she just says that
- 2:15:49Speaker 1: she feels different and she's I think she's like a
- 2:15:51Speaker 1: little bit bigger. I don't know.
- 2:15:52Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, she's got different hands like the glory things.
- 2:15:55Speaker 2: But also when they leave the court under the mountain,
- 2:15:59Speaker 2: Durian's oh I am bone is gone, yes, And I
- 2:16:02Speaker 2: was like, Oh, something's going on that's got to play
- 2:16:05Speaker 2: a part somewhere.
- 2:16:06Speaker 1: Even he could come back to life. We'll get to
- 2:16:08Speaker 1: that in our predictions. Who knows. But they go back
- 2:16:10Speaker 1: to the spring Court and she has to face what
- 2:16:13Speaker 1: she's done. She just yes, she has to kind of.
- 2:16:15Speaker 1: She says to herself, like, I'm Hiphane. Now I'm literally immortal. Yeah,
- 2:16:19Speaker 1: so what a dup? Like, she says to herself, I
- 2:16:23Speaker 1: have time to face what I've done, but right now
- 2:16:26Speaker 1: is like time to rest. Yeah, She's like giving herself
- 2:16:28Speaker 1: a break, and she's like, one day I will ask
- 2:16:30Speaker 1: about the fairies. I killed his family, but now I
- 2:16:32Speaker 1: was in the day exactly, And you're like. And then
- 2:16:35Speaker 1: they get and they smell the fresh air of the
- 2:16:36Speaker 1: spring Court and they see the manner and she looks
- 2:16:38Speaker 1: at Talent and she says, let's go home. And the
- 2:16:39Speaker 1: book ends.
- 2:16:41Speaker 2: Okay, so order of operations is everyone who has been
- 2:16:46Speaker 2: reading along time to pull up. We use Amazon, your
- 2:16:50Speaker 2: preferred method of ordering the book. I know a lot
- 2:16:53Speaker 2: of you already have it, but this is fun. Oh shit,
- 2:16:55Speaker 2: I put the amex on my phone so I can
- 2:16:57Speaker 2: order it in one.
- 2:16:58Speaker 1: Okay, you can do it, so too, what's the new
- 2:17:01Speaker 1: book called again? A Court of Mist and Fury? Okay,
- 2:17:06Speaker 1: a Court of Mist and Fury court. And we have
- 2:17:09Speaker 1: one thing to ask of all the baddies while Jake's
- 2:17:11Speaker 1: ordering our book, is we have options for how we
- 2:17:16Speaker 1: are going to consume the next book. Yes, a lot
- 2:17:18Speaker 1: of comments have said dramatized audio, So we will do
- 2:17:24Speaker 1: whatever you want.
- 2:17:24Speaker 2: If you want us to do the next book club
- 2:17:27Speaker 2: in dramatized audio, we can do that and come with
- 2:17:29Speaker 2: our recaps, or do you want us to continue in
- 2:17:31Speaker 2: the same format we've been doing reading, or another slight
- 2:17:35Speaker 2: option is Jake reads and I do dramatized audio because
- 2:17:38Speaker 2: I know you like reading more.
- 2:17:40Speaker 1: I do like the reading. Yeah, I wonder if it
- 2:17:42Speaker 1: would be good to listen. Yeah, So yeah, a few questions,
- 2:17:45Speaker 1: so answer those questions. We'll order two books regardless. Yea, yeah,
- 2:17:47Speaker 1: we still want them because they look cool. And then
- 2:17:49Speaker 1: also yeah, and then also in terms of format of
- 2:17:53Speaker 1: the episode, did you guys like that? Yeah? Was that good?
- 2:17:55Speaker 1: Pretty in depth? Very in depth. I wonder if it's
- 2:17:59Speaker 1: better less recapping more of our thoughts. Yeah, that's what
- 2:18:02Speaker 1: I want to know. So like that was a lot
- 2:18:03Speaker 1: of recap. Yeah, so what's our would you guys prefer
- 2:18:07Speaker 1: thoughts like a twenty minute episode of thoughts purely? Yeah,
- 2:18:09Speaker 1: But now the book is ordered, we have to do
- 2:18:12Speaker 1: our predictions. What's our predictions for the next book. It
- 2:18:17Speaker 1: could go anywhere, honestly.
- 2:18:19Speaker 2: So they've got to find out that thing that recent
- 2:18:22Speaker 2: looked at the end about favor. So I think a
- 2:18:23Speaker 2: lot of the next book is her figuring out how
- 2:18:25Speaker 2: to be a fairy.
- 2:18:27Speaker 1: Yeah, She's true. She's going to really like come into
- 2:18:29Speaker 1: her own.
- 2:18:30Speaker 2: Yeah, She's going to figure out all the differences in
- 2:18:31Speaker 2: her powers and everything, and I think she's going to
- 2:18:33Speaker 2: become like a beast obvious.
- 2:18:36Speaker 1: Okay, I was going to say, I think she's special obviously,
- 2:18:41Speaker 1: and she is personally. I think that she is a
- 2:18:46Speaker 1: lot more powerful than the rest. Maybe not as powerful
- 2:18:49Speaker 1: as the high Lows, but I do think she's going
- 2:18:52Speaker 1: to be like a much a very very strong high Fase.
- 2:18:55Speaker 1: So like better than Lucian, better than all these other
- 2:18:58Speaker 1: high fay that we know, you know what I mean.
- 2:19:00Speaker 1: Does the King of high Burn still want to kill
- 2:19:02Speaker 1: the mortals? Yes? So here, Yeah, That's where I'm going.
- 2:19:07Speaker 2: I'm thinking she's going to figure out how to use
- 2:19:09Speaker 2: her powers, and her whole ploy is going to be
- 2:19:12Speaker 2: I reckon, She's still going to become a queen of
- 2:19:14Speaker 2: something okay, and her whole purpose is to save the
- 2:19:18Speaker 2: Mortal Realm from high Burn, Okay, something like that.
- 2:19:23Speaker 1: And she convinces all the other high lords to help her. Yes,
- 2:19:28Speaker 1: and they already all love her. She saved most of them.
- 2:19:31Speaker 1: They owe her a favor. They brought it back to life.
- 2:19:33Speaker 1: But also, so are you agreeing with that? Look, I
- 2:19:36Speaker 1: don't disagree. I do think that this next book is
- 2:19:39Speaker 1: going to be apparently it's the best one. I don't
- 2:19:42Speaker 1: think for some reason, I don't think this book is
- 2:19:45Speaker 1: going to be the book that high Burn is trying
- 2:19:47Speaker 1: to kill the mortals. I think it's going to be
- 2:19:49Speaker 1: in later and what there's three more books after this.
- 2:19:52Speaker 1: I think another challenge arises in this book, and basically
- 2:19:56Speaker 1: there's going to be there's going to be another challenge
- 2:19:59Speaker 1: that rises. Wait, just like another thing happens. Right, Maybe
- 2:20:03Speaker 1: it is a threat from Highburn to just Priythian and
- 2:20:06Speaker 1: not the Mortal Realms yet, but there's going to be
- 2:20:09Speaker 1: so much back and forth of her going from spring
- 2:20:12Speaker 1: Court to Night Court. So I think that what's going
- 2:20:16Speaker 1: to happen.
- 2:20:16Speaker 2: Is because wait, I might be ready between the lines
- 2:20:19Speaker 2: here because everyone said his second book is the best book.
- 2:20:22Speaker 2: I'm thinking she's going to figure out how to fight
- 2:20:24Speaker 2: her love between Tamlin and Recent and there's just going
- 2:20:27Speaker 2: to be a lot of fucking and a lot of
- 2:20:29Speaker 2: love and a lot of dates, and she's going to
- 2:20:32Speaker 2: choose one. And I think Tamlin dies. Fuck off, That's
- 2:20:37Speaker 2: what I'm thinking. Okay, here's what And they find out
- 2:20:40Speaker 2: that Tamlin's love wasn't real and he was only doing
- 2:20:42Speaker 2: it for ulterior motives to save everything. She knows that, yeah,
- 2:20:45Speaker 2: but I think he figures out for himself, and she
- 2:20:47Speaker 2: realizes it down the track because now she's got time
- 2:20:49Speaker 2: and there's not all this Amaranthu bullshit around I hear.
- 2:20:51Speaker 1: Here's what I think happens. She's at the spring Court.
- 2:20:54Speaker 1: Every time she's at Spring Court, sex scene, yeah, all right,
- 2:20:56Speaker 1: sexy scene between her and Tamblin. It'd be rough, could
- 2:20:59Speaker 1: be sweet, who knows, all right? Yeah, and then she
- 2:21:02Speaker 1: goes to the night Court for one week every month,
- 2:21:05Speaker 1: sexual tension building. She's going there months on end for
- 2:21:09Speaker 1: one week each time she comes back she's making love
- 2:21:12Speaker 1: to Tamblin. Okay, one of the times she makes love
- 2:21:14Speaker 1: to Tamlin, she thinks it's resand like she she imagines
- 2:21:18Speaker 1: it's And then the next time she goes to the
- 2:21:22Speaker 1: night court, sexual tension too much crazy, eventually they.
- 2:21:26Speaker 2: Fuck okay, okay, and then my final prediction is also
- 2:21:30Speaker 2: that Durian's eye and the bone that was lost. I
- 2:21:33Speaker 2: think theyah was going to have to find that to
- 2:21:35Speaker 2: save the mortal land.
- 2:21:36Speaker 1: Damn should destroy it. Yeah, finally, like Durian Resta, these
- 2:21:43Speaker 1: are great predictions. We could write a book. I can't
- 2:21:48Speaker 1: wait to see how wrong we are. Okay, guys, well
- 2:21:51Speaker 1: this is exciting. That's our episode of just fucking seven chapters.
- 2:21:55Speaker 1: My god.
- 2:21:55Speaker 2: Yeah, but a lot of things that are new around here,
- 2:21:59Speaker 2: so please let us know all your thoughts. And I
- 2:22:03Speaker 2: think it's good if we both read them all and
- 2:22:04Speaker 2: come to in a fortnight's time. The Bay's Book Club
- 2:22:07Speaker 2: will be here when our books arrive, and we will be.
- 2:22:11Speaker 1: How many chapters deep into the second one? You want
- 2:22:13Speaker 1: to go? Seven again? Started slow? Seven seems to be good.
- 2:22:15Speaker 1: Seven's quite good, and it's slow, and it's enough to
- 2:22:17Speaker 1: get the information out and new books. Exciting. Yeah, and
- 2:22:21Speaker 1: we'll also see if we want to do dramatized audio.
- 2:22:23Speaker 1: Maybe we'll start with both. We'll come with we'll we'll see.
- 2:22:26Speaker 1: Let's actually based off the comments of this episode, answering
- 2:22:30Speaker 1: the question of I tell you like this one where
- 2:22:32Speaker 1: we really really recap or would you prefer just feelings
- 2:22:35Speaker 1: and thoughts. If it's just feelings and thoughts, it's probably
- 2:22:38Speaker 1: better to do more chapters and just do a little
- 2:22:40Speaker 1: short recap and then just like feelings, it's still very
- 2:22:43Speaker 1: much in the air. Yeah. And also next week you
- 2:22:45Speaker 1: have a little surprise, but I'm not going to tell
- 2:22:47Speaker 1: you what that is. Sweet
