- 0:00Speaker 1: All right, Kyle and Fugg, what do we need.
- 0:08Speaker 2: To know today?
- 0:09Speaker 3: The Dodgers are now officially out of the World Series
- 0:12Speaker 3: after getting swept by the Brewers. This is a big
- 0:16Speaker 3: deal because everyone kind of thought the Dodgers were going
- 0:18Speaker 3: to take it and they got swept. And now there's
- 0:20Speaker 3: an interesting theory swirling around online.
- 0:24Speaker 4: Why?
- 0:24Speaker 3: Apparently, there are some big talks that are happening after
- 0:27Speaker 3: the season about salary caps.
- 0:29Speaker 5: And the Dodgers don't want that. So the theory is.
- 0:32Speaker 3: They threw the games because they wanted the Brewers to
- 0:35Speaker 3: go and they want a smaller team with a smaller
- 0:37Speaker 3: budget to make it to the World Series. Because then
- 0:39Speaker 3: when it comes time to argue, they're like, well, salary
- 0:41Speaker 3: caps don't even matter. Like, we didn't even make it
- 0:44Speaker 3: to the World Series. The small budget team won.
- 0:46Speaker 2: The highest payroll in baseball. Don't they have the best players, though?
- 0:50Speaker 1: I heard something similar about that with the Arizona Cardinals,
- 0:52Speaker 1: that they want the Cardinals to lose now.
- 0:54Speaker 2: Well, they're doing a great job. So we get Arch
- 0:56Speaker 2: Manning as first pick.
- 0:58Speaker 5: There's been talk about that.
- 0:59Speaker 1: Okay.
- 0:59Speaker 3: So I will, I will say that there is absolutely
- 1:02Speaker 3: no evidence or confirmation that the Dodgers threw the games
- 1:06Speaker 3: on purpose.
- 1:06Speaker 5: It's just what people are debating.
- 1:08Speaker 2: So who's in the World Series right now?
- 1:09Speaker 5: The Milwaukee Brewers.
- 1:10Speaker 2: Who's the other one?
- 1:11Speaker 5: That's the one that's chosen right now.
- 1:12Speaker 2: They're just doing one.
- 1:14Speaker 3: I don't think we have the second team yet.
- 1:17Speaker 2: The Cleveland and Chicago are still alive. Yeah.
- 1:21Speaker 3: Google wants to make online shopping way easier. So, you know,
- 1:24Speaker 3: when you're shopping around, especially like with the holidays coming up,
- 1:27Speaker 3: you have 15 different tabs open because you're looking at
- 1:30Speaker 3: all the stuff for a bunch of different stores. Well,
- 1:32Speaker 3: Google says we're going to fix that by rolling out
- 1:34Speaker 3: something called the Universal Cart, where you can shop through
- 1:37Speaker 3: Google Search or Gemini, add products from different stores into
- 1:41Speaker 3: one cart.
- 1:42Speaker 5: Now, right now, it's currently rolling out.
- 1:45Speaker 3: So you may or may not have this on your
- 1:47Speaker 3: particular Google Gemini.
- 1:49Speaker 5: When it does, it will just pop up.
- 1:51Speaker 3: Like it will just be an option for you to
- 1:54Speaker 3: add to your universal cart. And then you don't have
- 1:57Speaker 3: 85 bajillion tabs open as your holiday shopping, which I
- 2:00Speaker 3: think is actually pretty cool.
- 2:02Speaker 5: Elon Musk, you guys, I don't know if you guys
- 2:03Speaker 5: saw this. It was all over my Instagram last night.
- 2:07Speaker 3: Introduced Tesla's new Roadster. And this thing's insane. It uses
- 2:11Speaker 3: rocket style thrusters. It was developed with SpaceX. The car
- 2:14Speaker 3: drove upside down, launched into the air, flipped and landed
- 2:16Speaker 3: onto its wheels slightly and showed it. It also went
- 2:19Speaker 3: from like zero to 60 seconds in less or zero
- 2:22Speaker 3: to 60 miles per hour in.
- 2:23Speaker 5: Less than a second, like 0.5. eight one seconds.
- 2:26Speaker 3: Production is actually planned to start for this car in 2028,
- 2:30Speaker 3: although the flying version isn't approved for public roads.
- 2:33Speaker 5: At this time. Maybe they're trying to work on that
- 2:35Speaker 5: until it starts production.
- 2:37Speaker 3: But get this, deposits are as high as $ 250, 000.
- 2:42Speaker 5: If you wanted one of these.
- 2:43Speaker 1: When you say the flying, isn't that the whole catch
- 2:45Speaker 1: for the car that it flies?
- 2:46Speaker 4: It'll go for about a second or so because it
- 2:48Speaker 4: loses what they call compressed air.
- 2:51Speaker 2: That's not the car they're selling.
- 2:53Speaker 3: Well, no, it's not approved for road right now.
- 2:57Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:57Speaker 3: Like some of the comments I saw were like, imagine
- 3:00Speaker 3: this thing in a car chase with the cops and
- 3:02Speaker 3: they surround the car.
- 3:03Speaker 5: And it just goes, her job's over.
- 3:05Speaker 3: It's like, yeah, obviously that's, there's probably gonna be some
- 3:08Speaker 3: legality issues.
- 3:09Speaker 5: They're going to have to work out.
- 3:10Speaker 2: Plus, there's probably going to be a lot of bizarre
- 3:11Speaker 2: car accidents.
- 3:13Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 3:13Speaker 2: Sure. Right?
- 3:14Speaker 4: And I think you're going to be competing for parking
- 3:16Speaker 4: spaces because it could just jump right over you and
- 3:18Speaker 4: go into space.
- 3:19Speaker 2: Like checkers. You'll see like a car in.
- 3:23Speaker 2: A high place that shouldn't be, you know what I mean?
- 3:25Speaker 2: Like somebody did it wrong. Yeah.
- 3:26Speaker 3: So I think they're going to have to work out
- 3:28Speaker 3: that part.
- 3:29Speaker 4: Did you see, they didn't even have a driver in
- 3:31Speaker 4: that car that went upside down and flipped over and
- 3:33Speaker 4: all that.
- 3:34Speaker 2: It's all automated driving.
- 3:35Speaker 5: It's self-driving. That's not new for them.
- 3:37Speaker 2: I would love to have my own. Have you seen
- 3:39Speaker 2: the buses yet? The Uber buses?
- 3:42Speaker 6: No.
- 3:42Speaker 2: Not buses. The Waymo? The Waymo. I love those. I
- 3:47Speaker 2: love the way they look.
- 3:48Speaker 1: You know what I saw? I've seen it twice now.
- 3:49Speaker 1: I saw this in the Chicago airport the other day,
- 3:51Speaker 1: and I saw it in the L.A. airport the other day.
- 3:53Speaker 1: And it blew my mind. And here's what I saw.
- 3:57Speaker 1: Picture a Waymo, but it's a wheelchair.
- 4:01Speaker 2: And it's just cruising down the airport with no person
- 4:03Speaker 2: sitting in it.
- 4:04Speaker 5: That's probably very helpful.
- 4:05Speaker 2: Yeah, I haven't seen anyone saying it yet. It just
- 4:07Speaker 2: goes back to the station. It looks like R2-D2. It's
- 4:09Speaker 2: just a wheelchair. It's just going through the airport. That's
- 4:11Speaker 2: so genius.
- 4:12Speaker 3: Because you know how often you see old people waiting
- 4:14Speaker 3: for someone to push their wheelchair?
- 4:16Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 4:16Speaker 5: Now they don't have to wait.
- 4:17Speaker 2: But I haven't seen someone using it. I've just seen them.
- 4:20Speaker 1: I saw a guy pushing someone in a wheelchair from
- 4:22Speaker 1: the airport, and then I saw the remote control wheel
- 4:24Speaker 1: or the other wheelchair cruising by itself.
- 4:26Speaker 4: Maybe they're still testing them. Yeah, they're going to go crazy.
- 4:28Speaker 4: You're going to see that on the tarmac.
- 4:30Speaker 1: It was really interesting to see, but it felt like
- 4:33Speaker 1: I was on the set of Star Wars.
- 4:35Speaker 2: I mean, it was weird.
- 4:36Speaker 5: That is pretty cool.
- 4:38Speaker 3: You know all the drama with ASU's hockey team. Well,
- 4:40Speaker 3: they just hired a new coach from the NHL. Dave
- 4:45Speaker 3: Haxtell is an assistant coach with the Colorado Avalanche and
- 4:48Speaker 3: will now lead Sun Devil Hockey. That's a pretty big
- 4:50Speaker 3: name for the program, so that's pretty cool.
- 4:52Speaker 5: And this, this is awesome.
- 4:54Speaker 3: There is a 16-year-old soccer player. She's from Queen Creek,
- 4:57Speaker 3: and she could represent the United States in the Under-17
- 5:01Speaker 3: Women's World Cup.
- 5:03Speaker 2: Let's go.
- 5:03Speaker 5: Her name is Tatum Gardner. Shout out to Tatum and
- 5:05Speaker 5: her family.
- 5:06Speaker 3: She's been named an alternate for Team USA, and she's
- 5:08Speaker 3: already in Morocco training with the team. And so she's
- 5:12Speaker 3: one call away from getting a chance to play in
- 5:14Speaker 3: one of the biggest stages in soccer. So I just
- 5:16Speaker 3: want to Support her, give her some local love, and
- 5:18Speaker 3: that's what you need to know.
- 5:19Speaker 2: Peyton, you said you're going to Vegas this weekend?
- 5:21Speaker 6: I am going to Vegas this weekend.
- 5:22Speaker 2: What's going on in Vegas? Why are you going to Vegas?
- 5:23Speaker 6: My mom's childhood best friend, her daughter, who is like
- 5:27Speaker 6: one of my, like I would consider her my cousin,
- 5:29Speaker 6: she's getting married this weekend. How fun. So I'm pretty excited,
- 5:32Speaker 6: but it was last second, so apparently I got signed
- 5:34Speaker 6: up to drive and to take my car, which is
- 5:36Speaker 6: really annoying. But I am dreading a five-hour car ride
- 5:41Speaker 6: with my mom.
- 5:41Speaker 1: And my sister.
- 5:42Speaker 2: Is that why you were like, talk about the Stratosphere Hotel?
- 5:45Speaker 6: Yeah. Yeah.
- 5:45Speaker 2: Are you staying there? Yeah. It's like 20 bucks. It's
- 5:48Speaker 2: like the cheapest hotel I've ever found. No. Do you
- 5:51Speaker 2: even have beds in the room?
- 5:52Speaker 1: Did I tell you it's $ 20 a night? It might
- 5:54Speaker 1: even be less than that.
- 5:55Speaker 4: Oh, really?
- 5:56Speaker 6: Okay, so we were trying to figure it out because
- 5:57Speaker 6: we were like, do we stay on the strip? And
- 5:59Speaker 6: I was like, I want to gamble, so we should
- 6:00Speaker 6: stay on the strip. But we went on Priceline to
- 6:02Speaker 6: find some cheaper options. And on Priceline, there's an option
- 6:05Speaker 6: where you can pay and it'll pick out of the
- 6:08Speaker 6: top three hotels. So we did it, and my mom
- 6:12Speaker 6: literally sent a text and was like, fingers crossed it's
- 6:14Speaker 6: not the stratosphere. And we got the stratosphere, and I
- 6:16Speaker 6: literally was like, well, y'all can stay there. I'm going
- 6:19Speaker 6: to go stay at Park MGM.
- 6:20Speaker 3: That's what happens when you gamble.
- 6:22Speaker 5: Because it's so cheap. I know.
- 6:24Speaker 2: It's cheap. It's 20 bucks. You just crash it. You're
- 6:25Speaker 2: not going to stay in a hotel room.
- 6:27Speaker 6: Okay, but I have a weird thing with, like, hotel rooms.
- 6:30Speaker 2: What do you mean?
- 6:30Speaker 6: Especially hotel bathrooms. Like, they just gross me out. Like,
- 6:33Speaker 6: they truly gross me out. Hotel bathrooms are disgusting. Well,
- 6:35Speaker 6: they have bathrooms.
- 6:36Speaker 2: Maybe they're not that bad.
- 6:37Speaker 6: But they just, they said.
- 6:38Speaker 5: That they revamped the rooms, like, in 2020. Yeah, maybe they're,
- 6:40Speaker 5: you're going to be like, okay, stratosphere.
- 6:42Speaker 2: They put a new ashtray.
- 6:43Speaker 6: So I called my sister and I was like, you
- 6:44Speaker 6: better call and see if we can get the.
- 6:46Speaker 2: Upgrade because right now you're already, like, on my bad side.
- 6:49Speaker 2: for getting this hotel. 20 bucks a night?
- 6:52Speaker 6: I mean, worth it.
- 6:52Speaker 2: It was still worth it.
- 6:53Speaker 4: Yeah, Peyton's been at that new Fountain Blue. She's seen
- 6:56Speaker 4: the other side.
- 6:56Speaker 6: If there's one thing I'm bougie about, it's probably hotels.
