  Speaker 1: and it's time for today's word. Your excellence will make room.

  Speaker 1: Psalms one hundred two says serve the Lord with gladness

  Speaker 1: and delight. Joseph's life is a powerful reminder that where
• 0:20
  Speaker 1: you start does not determine where you'll finish. His brother
• 0:24
  Speaker 1: sold him into slavery, taking him far from his family,
• 0:27
  Speaker 1: his dreams, and everything familiar. Joseph could have decided, since
• 0:31
  Speaker 1: life has treated me unfairly, I'm going to give everyone
• 0:35
  Speaker 1: the same energy they've given me.
• 0:39
  Speaker 2: But Joseph chose a different path. He's served.
• 0:43
  Speaker 1: When he was in Potterphar's house, Joseph didn't do the
• 0:46
  Speaker 1: bare minimum.
• 0:47
  Speaker 2: He worked with excellence.

  Speaker 1: He was trustworthy, dependable, and faithful. Potterphard noticed something different

  Speaker 1: about him and eventually placed Joseph in charge of his
• 0:57
  Speaker 1: entire household. Then Joseph was falsely a cues and thrown

  Speaker 1: into prison. Even there, Joseph didn't allow his circumstance to

  Speaker 1: determine his attitude. He continued to serve, he continued to help,

  Speaker 1: and he continued to do his best. Before long, the

  Speaker 1: prison guard put him in charge of the other prisoners.

  Speaker 1: Notice the pattern here. Joseph kept serving and serving kept
• 1:22
  Speaker 1: open doors. Come on, Jesus, you may not be where
• 1:26
  Speaker 1: you wanna be right now. You may feel over looked, underappreciated,
• 1:30
  Speaker 1: and like your gifts aren't being recognized. But don't let
• 1:33
  Speaker 1: frustration cause you to give less.
• 1:36
  Speaker 2: Than your very best.
• 1:37
  Speaker 1: Serve where you are, Serve your family with love, Serve
• 1:41
  Speaker 1: your coworkers with excellence, Serve your church with joy.

  Speaker 2: Help somebody else succeed.

  Speaker 1: Be the person people can count on when nobody is applauding,

  Speaker 1: you keep on serving when nobody says thank you, You

  Speaker 1: keep serving. When you're not getting the recognition you think

  Speaker 1: you deserve, you still keep serving because you're serving.

  Speaker 2: This is not just about people watching you. God is

  Speaker 2: watching you.

  Speaker 1: There are doors that your talent may not open, but

  Speaker 1: your character will their opportunities that your resume may not

  Speaker 1: qualify you for.

  Speaker 2: But your faithfulness will prepare you for.

  Speaker 1: God can use your consistency, your humility, and your willingness

  Speaker 1: to serve to take you places you could never reach

  Speaker 1: by trying.

  Speaker 2: To promote yourself.

  Speaker 1: Joseph eventually went from the pit to the palace. From

  Speaker 1: slavery to leadership, from serving in the background to becoming
• 2:35
  Speaker 1: Prime Minister of Egypt. So don't despise your current assignment.

  Speaker 1: Your ordinary place of service may be preparing you for
• 2:43
  Speaker 1: an extraordinary season.
• 2:45
  Speaker 2: Come on, Jesus, so you keep.

  Speaker 1: Serving, keep growing, keep giving, keep doing more than what's required.

  Speaker 1: Not to impress people, but because you represent God, you
• 2:56
  Speaker 1: may be serving your way through.

  Speaker 2: The door that leads to your net next level.

  Speaker 1: Come on, Jesus, Father, thank you for teaching us the

  Speaker 1: value of serving with gladness, humility, and excellence. Help us

  Speaker 1: not to become discourage when our efforts go unnoticed or

  Speaker 1: when we don't receive the recognition we desire. Give us
• 3:15
  Speaker 1: hearts that serve because we love you, not because we
• 3:18
  Speaker 1: need applause from people. Help us to be faithful in
• 3:21
  Speaker 1: every assignment, every relationship, and every opportunity you place before us.

  Speaker 1: Teach us to go the extra mile to help others rise,
• 3:29
  Speaker 1: and to give our very best.

  Speaker 2: Even when nobody is watching.

  Speaker 1: God, we trust that you see our faithfulness, and we

  Speaker 1: believe that you will open the right doors at just

  Speaker 1: the right time. In Jesus' name, Now that's your word

  Speaker 1: for today. Take an applied to your everyday life, and

  Speaker 1: you continue to be encouraged and inspired. It is your
