- 0:06Hello, what's your least favorite scary movie?
- 0:11What the fuck is a Bruin anyway? We're going to watch Your Least
- 0:14Favorite Scary Movie, The podcast where we talk about the
- 0:17good, the bad, the ugly and the absurd, and all of our favorite.
- 0:20And least favorite scary movie? Because we believe every horror
- 0:22movie rightfully has its fan base.
- 0:24We don't always get. It my name is Travis.
- 0:26My name is. Jesse and welcome everybody.
- 0:28We're talking Final Destination again this week.
- 0:30So much. That's right.
- 0:32And we've made it all all the way up to three.
- 0:34We're talking about Final Destination 3 today.
- 0:36That's right, the roller coaster one.
- 0:39Before we get into any of that, do you have any announcements?
- 0:43OK, so bubby to patrons, your voting should be out at some
- 0:50point this week, if it's not already.
- 0:52Yeah, same with your bonus episode that'll be out before
- 0:56the end of the weekend. Yeah, we'll have it out.
- 0:57Yeah. We don't know what it's gonna be
- 0:58yet, but it's gonna be there. Yep, Yep, Yep.
- 1:01Also, we had to be or not to be out this weekend.
- 1:03We talked about the 1988 adaptation of Dean Koontz's
- 1:07Watchers. Yeah, it was a good time, yeah.
- 1:10We had a good time with it. Talia did not.
- 1:11But it's OK, yeah. Yeah.
- 1:14So go listen to that if you want to know why Talia he did it and
- 1:16why we loved it. Or maybe not loved it, but you
- 1:19know, we we enjoyed it. Yeah.
- 1:20Go find out. Or maybe we didn't.
- 1:22Yeah, you don't know until you do.
- 1:25All right. Well, hey, I do have a poll.
- 1:27Oh. My God, you did a.
- 1:28Poll, I did it last second and 100% credit goes to Ward Zombie,
- 1:33who reached out and said if you guys aren't making the poll
- 1:36truth or dare, then what are you doing?
- 1:38I was like, fuck yeah, that's actually a great idea.
- 1:41Yeah, so it's truth or dare. What the fuck were we doing?
- 1:43Or zombie? Thank you.
- 1:45So it's ongoing currently. So this is gonna be one that is
- 1:50gonna have live updates. Yeah.
- 1:52So for now, it's 33% truth, 67% there.
- 1:58We'll check back in on that towards the end of this episode.
- 2:01For me it 100% matters, the group I'm with, what I'm
- 2:04choosing. That's true.
- 2:06It's very, very some. Friends.
- 2:10Chaos Grandmas. Yeah, exactly.
- 2:12Yeah, yeah. You don't want to get into
- 2:14trouble, and you don't want to say something that you don't
- 2:17want to say. Yeah, exactly.
- 2:19Yeah, it's, it's risky, but generally truth because, well,
- 2:26risk. OK.
- 2:28What about you? You had a big one.
- 2:31If we're in a group where I'm the most chaotic gremlin, I'm
- 2:35going to pick dare. OK, but if there are more
- 2:37chaotic gremlins than I, I will pick Truth.
- 2:40OK, that's understandable. All right.
- 2:45It also kind of probably depends on how many drinks have flown at
- 2:48that point. That's a big factor for me also.
- 2:51Yeah, OK, so let's talk about Final Destination 3.
- 2:56Final Destination 3 released February 10th, 2006.
- 3:00We watched it on our DVD, and if you would like to watch it, as
- 3:04of January 2026, you cannot stream it right now.
- 3:07Surprisingly, that was a huge shock to me because it's lived
- 3:10on HBO for like. Several months, yeah.
- 3:13Yeah, and it's just not there anymore.
- 3:14It's nowhere to be streamed, but you can rent it.
- 3:17You can rent it on Plex Prime, Apple TV, YouTube, or Fandango
- 3:21at home. Or maybe you can get really
- 3:23lucky like us and go to Half Price Books and find the version
- 3:26of the DVD where you can choose your fate.
- 3:29Yeah, yeah, that's a cool thing that we're going to be talking
- 3:31about this episode. We have the DVD where you can
- 3:34choose your own fate, which does change some of the outcomes of
- 3:37the movie here. It's really interesting and
- 3:39we're going to get into all of the possible scenarios.
- 3:41Very. Soon.
- 3:41Unfortunately we have played it so many times that like we
- 3:45basically know what the. I still don't, well, I, I know
- 3:48what the different stuff is. I don't know how to get there
- 3:51anymore. Like, I, I still don't remember
- 3:53how, like what to choose to get what.
- 3:54But we're going to go over all all of that here shortly.
- 3:57Written by Glenn Morgan and James Wong, Directed by James
- 4:01Wong, music by Shirley Walker and special effects makeup by
- 4:04Toby Lindala with Meteor Studios who did the roller coaster
- 4:08opening stuff and then Digital Dimension who did all of the
- 4:12post premonition deaths. Starring Mary Elizabeth Winstead
- 4:16as Wendy, Ryan Merriam as Kevin, Chris Limchi as McKinley, Alexis
- 4:22Johnson as Aaron, Sam Easton as Frankie, Jesse Moss as Jason,
- 4:27Gina Holden as Carrie, Texas Battle as Lewis, Shelan Simmons
- 4:31as Ashley Young K Crystal Woe as Ashley and Amanda Crew as.
- 4:36One of them Ashley. One of them is Ashley.
- 4:38I thought they were both. Ashwin's No, it's Ashley and
- 4:40Ashlyn. Then I think it's Yonke Crystal.
- 4:43Who's Ashlyn? OK, I think so.
- 4:45Don't quote me on that, but I the entire time I've I've had
- 4:50them as the Ashley's. No, the Ashes, Ashley and
- 4:53Ashlyn. Well, you decide.
- 4:57It's up to you, the listener. Who Who is who?
- 5:00All right, time for a favorite game on the show, Budget or
- 5:03budgeted? Oh, this feels budgety to me.
- 5:06Yeah, this is big budgety. This is $25 million.
- 5:09Yeah, pretty big chunk of change.
- 5:12It's OK. It made the back opening box
- 5:14office was 20 million worldwide gross 118 million.
- 5:18One of these days, I would like for the gross to be 180 million.
- 5:22Just stop. Like if it ever hits 1 to 80 at
- 5:26the box office, like stop it. It's like pull it from theaters.
- 5:28That's when you're on like a Reddit thread and the number of
- 5:31of votes is like a perfect number and you're like, I can't.
- 5:35Can't. I can't touch it.
- 5:35I can't do anything with this right now, it's too perfect.
- 5:38IMDb score 5.9 Now it's in which I feel is a little rude.
- 5:46All right, so I have 3 movies from 2006 that we can compare
- 5:50this to. Oh boy, I'm very nervous with
- 5:522006. You know, I think I got a pretty
- 5:54cool thing. OK, so we had three movies in
- 5:582026 here that basically are like predictions of deaths for
- 6:03the movie in this. OK yeah.
- 6:05So I think that's kind of cool. I can more premonitions here,
- 6:08right here. So movie #1 Dark Ride which is
- 6:13about people going to an amusement park and there's a
- 6:16psychopath there that kills them.
- 6:18Yep. Yeah, that's released October
- 6:2120th, 2006. Don't have the budget but it
- 6:23made $321,000 at the box office. IMDb 4.6.
- 6:29OK. Movie number 25 across the eyes
- 6:33because of the nail gun that shoots her all over the face.
- 6:38She's got at least 5 nails in her face right there.
- 6:39At least 5 that released October question mark.
- 6:43No date but October, October 2006.
- 6:46It was like a couple minutes a day.
- 6:48Yeah. You watched 3 Minutes on October
- 6:50for use, Yeah. This was a $4000 budget.
- 6:54Wow. Filmed very close to where both
- 6:58of us grew up. I think it's like a middle
- 6:59point. It's down in Tennessee, like a
- 7:02halfway point between where my hometown is and your hometown
- 7:05is, but it's a very close drive to us.
- 7:08What town think? It was like Morristown or
- 7:10something like that. And yeah, don't have a gross for
- 7:14it but an IMDb of 2.6 OK not so great.
- 7:18Final movie Ghost Train that released September 30th 2006.
- 7:25Don't have the budget but it made 1.8 million at the box
- 7:28office. IMDb 4.9 OK and only one
- 7:33tagline. This ride will be the death of
- 7:35you. It's kind of generic.
- 7:38It's a little lame. It's a little generic, but I
- 7:40guess it works. I can't remember if the other
- 7:42found on destination movies were good.
- 7:44Like did we have an abundance of taglines?
- 7:46I feel like these have been like low tagline.
- 7:48Yeah. I feel like they've been kind of
- 7:49disappointing, yeah, in terms. Of tagline.
- 7:51It's a little upsetting, but that's OK.
- 7:54We can move on to fun facts. Yeah, having some fun, fun
- 7:56facts. Me too.
- 7:58So this was the first one that did not have Jeffrey Reddick
- 8:02involved. He detached from it, so they
- 8:04moved on without him. They envisioned this one to be a
- 8:08stand alone versus a direct sequel like they did with the
- 8:11second one. So they wanted it to be its own
- 8:12story and that way they can explore their own characters and
- 8:15their own scenarios and stuff, not be tethered to all that
- 8:19stuff. Because I can imagine that could
- 8:20be kind of complicated to keep going with the original cast,
- 8:24like all the connections with all these people over the years,
- 8:26especially once they die. So the idea of the roller
- 8:31coaster opening came from one of the new line execs, Richard
- 8:34Bryner did not come from any of the riders.
- 8:37OK, which was kind of cool. The original title of the movie
- 8:40was gonna be called Cheating Death Final Destination 3.
- 8:43I'm glad it wasn't. I am too.
- 8:45It's a. Little too cheesy.
- 8:47It was also gonna be 3D, but they cut that for budget reasons
- 8:51and also practical reasons because they're like, I don't
- 8:54know how fire and death stuff like that's gonna fare with 3D
- 8:58technology. Yeah, so they decided against
- 9:01it. Wendy was originally going to be
- 9:04a perky blonde character, but whenever they did the casting,
- 9:07Mary Elizabeth Winstead kind of had her own vibe that they
- 9:10liked. So they had to completely retool
- 9:12the character and they made her more of like a control freak,
- 9:16like a stressed out person. Is that a character trait of
- 9:19hers? Is she a control freak?
- 9:21I don't feel like we mentioned that.
- 9:22See, and The thing is, they mentioned so many times, like
- 9:25they're like, we wanted the theme to be lack of control.
- 9:28Like, yeah, we fucking get it. You guys stayed it like outright
- 9:32several times. Yeah, there's no subtlety to it.
- 9:34Yeah, Well, the reason that they do that is because, like,
- 9:36they're, they consulted psychologists are like, yeah,
- 9:39the reason people are afraid of roller coasters is because they
- 9:42have no control. Like.
- 9:43Oh. So we got to hammer people over
- 9:44the head. With the yeah, that way they
- 9:46understand. So here's a funny situation.
- 9:51Aaron's actor, you know, the goth, and that's right here.
- 9:55She originally auditioned for Julie's role.
- 9:58Oh, really? Julie's actor originally
- 10:01auditioned for Aaron's role. To be fair, Julie's actor in
- 10:05Mary Elizabeth Winstead it look all of sisters.
- 10:08Yeah, well, apparently what's still the deal for for Alexis to
- 10:12be Aaron is because she came in for a second reading and she was
- 10:16in a bad mood. And they they saw her dry humor
- 10:21and sarcasm shine through whenever she was like that.
- 10:23Like, you're perfect for the character.
- 10:25Like, so they cast her right there for that.
- 10:27OK, they spent the first two weeks of filming entirely on the
- 10:32roller coasters. Opening took 144 video effect
- 10:35shots filmed with coasters on the set with the green screen.
- 10:40So they actually built that there and that's how they did
- 10:42that. And then they also filmed that
- 10:44an actual amusement park in Canada, which is where it's was
- 10:47filmed. If you can't tell, this is a
- 10:49very Canadian. Film.
- 10:50Well, there are also some very like I feel like you can tell by
- 10:53some of the screams which parts were done on actual roller
- 10:56coaster versus which ones weren't.
- 10:57Cuz Mary Elizabeth Winstead at one point has an absolutely
- 11:00primal screen that I relate to in the hardest way.
- 11:03So like, I know that the DVD we have doesn't have the behind the
- 11:06scenes stuff, but I've seen the behind the scenes stuff about
- 11:08because. We've watched it together.
- 11:10Yeah, yeah. And even on the set that they
- 11:13designed there for the green screen thing, it looks scary
- 11:16like they had the like shit hung up on bungee cords.
- 11:19Oh my God. Like, I mean, not like all of
- 11:21this stuff, but like, I think like when they were doing some
- 11:23of like, the coasters falling off, like that was bungee cords
- 11:26just like tying it, like keeping it there.
- 11:28Like, yeah, like I imagine that would be a very stressful set to
- 11:31work on, regardless if you're on the actual roller coaster or if
- 11:34you're on the makeshift one that they did test audiences did not
- 11:38like the original ending of the movie.
- 11:40They ended up re filming it. It was originally planned to
- 11:43end. Oh, I mean, they were originally
- 11:45did end at the tricentennial thing.
- 11:47So like after all of that was done, that was it.
- 11:50Wow. Yeah.
- 11:51Which I can understand why that would be disappointing.
- 11:53So they ended up re filming the other ending, the one that we go
- 11:57with the train. However, that was also supposed
- 11:59to go differently too. So I know that they said that
- 12:02this was supposed to be its own stand alone thing, but the
- 12:05original idea was for Wendy, Julie and Kevin all to enter the
- 12:10train and while they were there they would bump into Kimberly
- 12:17and Burke from Final Destination 2.
- 12:20And it was going to be revealed that Kimberly is their cousin,
- 12:25Julie and Wendy's cousin. And this was all going to be
- 12:29death's way to tie up all the Lucents and kill them all at the
- 12:32same time right there. Because they were the only
- 12:34survivors of found Destination too.
- 12:36OK. But the reason they didn't go
- 12:39forward with it was because 1 actor was not able to film.
- 12:42They didn't specify which actor it was, and they didn't want to
- 12:45go killing, like just all of them except for one, because
- 12:49they thought that that made Death's plan.
- 12:53Like it would kind of poke a hole in it because like, it
- 12:57didn't get all of them. Yeah, well, AJ Cook was on
- 13:00Criminal Minds and Martin, Martin Landis, Michael Andis.
- 13:05Yeah. He like is a steady worker too,
- 13:09so I wouldn't be surprised with it being either of them.
- 13:11Yeah, so that's why we end up getting her college friends and
- 13:14stuff on the train. Like she, like they replaced
- 13:16those two characters in there. I think that's also probably
- 13:20good cuz this is the only one without really any adults so.
- 13:23You're right, yeah. Yeah, to not bring in these
- 13:26random adult characters at the very end.
- 13:28They do explain their fates though, and it's like a deleted
- 13:33scene type thing that Burke and Kimberly.
- 13:37A newspaper article seen in the special feature reveals that
- 13:41Kimberly Corman and Officer Thomas Burke died when they ran
- 13:44into each other at Goldstein's Hardware, a Camaro owned by Evan
- 13:48Lewis. The victim from Final
- 13:50Destination 2 rolled down a hill and crashed into the front of
- 13:53the store. The two attempted to escape from
- 13:55the rear, only to meet their fate at the hands of a wood
- 13:57chipper. Kimberly's coat got caught.
- 14:00Thomas attempted to savor. Both were pulled into the wood
- 14:02chipper. The wood chipper was owned by
- 14:04Rodger Gibbons, whose son died at the end of Final Destination
- 14:072. And a lot of people bring this
- 14:10up when they talk about Final Destination 6.
- 14:12Yeah. Cuz they're like this.
- 14:15This is if you include this in the special features, then it
- 14:19becomes a plot hole in Bloodlines because she's
- 14:22supposed to be the only survivor.
- 14:23Yep, yeah, cuz they do confirm in that movie that she is the
- 14:26only survivor. Yeah.
- 14:27So I don't know, it's like a pick your like I'm gonna choose
- 14:32a blue. She survived.
- 14:33Yeah, but Burke, like, yeah, but we didn't.
- 14:38I guess he could die in a wood chipper if he wants to.
- 14:40OK, so that should be it for the fun facts.
- 14:43We can go over all of the fates, but I figured it probably would
- 14:46be best to talk about those as they happen in the movie.
- 14:49I think so. I think it makes a little bit
- 14:50more sense to do it that. Way.
- 14:51Yeah. So that's what we're gonna do.
- 14:52So we're gonna explore all the possibilities.
- 14:54Who survives, who doesn't, how things go.
- 14:56And before we do that, we're gonna just do our other stuff.
- 14:59We're gonna do the good, bad, ugly and absurd.
- 15:01So, Jesse, kick it off. What do you like about this?
- 15:04OK, before we start all of this, I recognize that this is
- 15:08probably your favorite in the series.
- 15:11Break my heart. I know.
- 15:12Go ahead, you gotta do. It I just wanna say I love you.
- 15:16Yeah, I think this one is a lot of fun, but I think it's like
- 15:23fun trash. OK, really.
- 15:26Yeah, yeah. And I'll, I'll get into that in
- 15:28a little bit more. I've it's got some of my
- 15:30favorite, like it's got my second favorite line in horror
- 15:35behind sleep away camp threes. So you're underprivileged, which
- 15:39is No, that's three. Yeah.
- 15:42Which is when they're at Lewis's training camp and they're saying
- 15:46fuck the Bruins and there's one extra in the background who goes
- 15:49what the fuck is a Bruin anyway? And when I went to the Goal Over
- 15:52America tour with my mom, because some of the gymnasts are
- 15:55UCLA alum and I, it took every ounce of control in my body not
- 16:01to show. What the fuck is A brewing
- 16:03anyway? What the fuck is a brewing?
- 16:05I don't even know. I think it's a it's a bear.
- 16:08Oh, I look this up. OK, OK, so it's got that.
- 16:12And it's also got McKinley saying that like, there are
- 16:15worse people that are are still alive and didn't die young like
- 16:19pimps and vice presidents. Dude, like apparently I was
- 16:22reading about that. He had to like the Wong, James
- 16:26Wong gave him like stuff to like look up secure, like read into
- 16:30this. This is the stuff that your
- 16:31character actually is like going to be quoted on and like
- 16:34research it like that way, you know, so he actually like did
- 16:36his own research and all that stuff.
- 16:38Cool. I was going to say I actually
- 16:40like McKinley a lot, like the way he's written, because you
- 16:45would expect him to not like characters like Ashley and
- 16:48Ashlyn. That that whole speech that he's
- 16:50doing at the funeral, he's saying like these two girls who
- 16:53didn't do shit to anybody like you, you would think he would be
- 16:56the type that would like think they're dumb and ditzy and not
- 16:58really worth much, but like. I think he still understands.
- 17:02Like, in the grand scheme of things, they're not bad people.
- 17:05Yeah, but I don't think he likes them.
- 17:09I also think there are 50% of the script I think is really
- 17:13well written. So stuff like that, Wendy's
- 17:15moment, like when her and Kevin are looking at the pictures and
- 17:18they see a picture of Carrie and they both get sad and she's
- 17:21like, I guess we're just going to have moments like that the
- 17:22rest of our lives because that like, I mean, if you've ever
- 17:28grieved someone, lost somebody, there are just like random
- 17:32things that will come out of nowhere and hit you like a gut
- 17:34punch. And you're like months or years
- 17:37down the line, I think you're doing OK.
- 17:38And then something will happen and you're just like, oh, shit.
- 17:40Like it's just, you know, if it's somebody really important
- 17:43to you that you're just going to have those reminders around you
- 17:46all the time. So I thought that that was like
- 17:48a really nice and poignant moment.
- 17:50Obviously, I'm going to always fucking love any young K Crystal
- 17:53Low. I'm just going to go ahead and
- 17:55say it. I think she is our generation's
- 17:57Linnea Quigley. She kind of is.
- 17:58Because she just pops up in random horror movies and she's
- 18:01always down to show off her boobies.
- 18:03Comedy soon? Yeah.
- 18:05Yeah, she's just I, I love seeing her.
- 18:08I think she's a good actress. I think she knows exactly what
- 18:10her type of role is and she just does a good job.
- 18:13And I'm always happy when she's on the screen.
- 18:15And we also got Texas Battle. We're we're now 2 for three of
- 18:19our Texas Battle 3 peat movie trilogy.
- 18:21Someday we will talk about the tasks that way you all can
- 18:25enjoy. Oh my God, the Texas Battle
- 18:27trilogy with us. Yeah, that marathon that we did
- 18:30that one day. So, and then like I said a
- 18:34little bit earlier, I was, I also think it's really
- 18:36interesting that this is the only one in the franchise that
- 18:39is like an adult free movie. Yeah, I think, yeah, I actually
- 18:43had never even realized that myself until you just pointed
- 18:45that out. Yeah, so, and and I don't know
- 18:48how much it necessarily changes other than when you think about
- 18:50like adults are mentioned a lot. And technically, yeah, they did
- 18:53all to graduate high school, but it's it's different.
- 18:56Yeah. So.
- 18:58All right, what do you like about it?
- 19:01I man, I, I don't know, like, I like this one a lot.
- 19:04I I don't know, like, I the thing that I like the most about
- 19:11this is I like how they handle the premonitions this time
- 19:14around. I like the idea of it being
- 19:16through pictures and like that's like a really cool thing to do.
- 19:19Like that was like AI, like that's like a plot line.
- 19:22Like they have that to go on. They're not like getting all
- 19:25these like random like things happening throughout that are
- 19:27clues of what's going to happen. Like they have like this
- 19:30interesting new way to investigate what's coming up.
- 19:33I like that a lot. I like I I, I liked a lot of the
- 19:36deaths that happened in this movie.
- 19:39They were creative like the the tanning bed one like that's.
- 19:42Did that transition from the tanning beds to their graves?
- 19:45Yeah, this is so well done. But again, like, I mean, they
- 19:47were also like, one of the things that I like about this
- 19:50series is when they have like, their relatable deaths, they
- 19:52always make you paranoid in your daily life.
- 19:55And that's one of those things. I mean, tanning beds not quite
- 19:58as common now. I think people have started to
- 20:00realize that. Tanning beds have started to
- 20:02realize that they actually can be a cause of death, although
- 20:04maybe not necessarily really in a big flame engulfing manner.
- 20:08Yeah, but don't you tell me after watching this movie, if
- 20:11you've ever gotten one of those things you were not thinking
- 20:13about that moment. I could never relax at that
- 20:17point in my life when I was singing.
- 20:19I can never relax. I'd constantly like be poking my
- 20:21head out making sure there's nothing that's going to fall on
- 20:24the bed like. Roller coaster, same thing.
- 20:26That's always a high stress moment anyways, but just the
- 20:29idea of it going off the rails is terrifying.
- 20:32Yeah. I, I, I don't know, like, I
- 20:35mean, other than the things you've touched on, I just like,
- 20:38I just like this movie, man. It has a charm to it.
- 20:40I I like the characters, I like the deaths.
- 20:43I like the premonition. I mean again, this is another
- 20:46one that gives us 2 big events. I used to think that 4 was the
- 20:51one that had two, like they had the starting one at the NASCAR
- 20:54place and then they had the the mall.
- 20:57But this one right here the. 4th one, we have a little bit more
- 21:00time with the second premonition.
- 21:01That's true but at the same time like that ending is fucking
- 21:05awesome with the train and stuff like that.
- 21:06Like you get 2 of them in this even.
- 21:08And it just, it cuts to black and you hear the crash and then
- 21:11the credits and it's, that's chilling.
- 21:14Yeah, it is. Yeah.
- 21:15I don't know, man. Like, I I guess I get why people
- 21:19people wouldn't like this one quite as much, but this one is
- 21:21probably one of my favorites in the entire franchise.
- 21:23It just like captures a lot of the things that I like in these
- 21:26types of movies. OK, All right, well tell me
- 21:28what's bad about it then all. Right.
- 21:30Well, like I said, 50% of the script is really poignant.
- 21:33Yeah. And then the other 50%, I think
- 21:35it's the worst written dialogue in the entire franchise.
- 21:37OK? It's just bad and not how humans
- 21:41talk. All right.
- 21:44Oh, what are you going to do about it, Miss?
- 21:46Cutest couple. Rah rah.
- 21:49Yeah, I know that that's a really shitty line.
- 21:52I could come back from her, but like, I think that that's still
- 21:54kind of true for especially high schoolers.
- 21:57Oh, SpongeBob, he lives under the sea.
- 22:00It's so sad that you know that. Yeah, that was dumb.
- 22:04Everything Frankie Cheeks says beyond him just being a sex
- 22:07fest. He's like A1 dimensional and not
- 22:09really well written. No, I think the guy did his best
- 22:13with what he was given though. Oh, I think all of the actors
- 22:16did a good job with what they were given.
- 22:17Some of his delivery was really funny as like like when he's
- 22:21like at the like in the line for the the roller coasters like
- 22:25yeah, you see this right here and got it from the what you
- 22:27McCall game. Wacky Ladder.
- 22:30Yeah, I just I like, you know, he's like, yeah, took it.
- 22:33It's like that right there is funny.
- 22:35I he's a shitty character and I don't like him, but that guy had
- 22:39some really funny delivery with some of his.
- 22:41Yeah, it just everything, all the problems that I see people
- 22:45online say they have with the 4th movie, I'm like, you could
- 22:48say the same thing about the third.
- 22:51One man, I just don't see it. I don't see.
- 22:54It man I just and it just it's so distracting to me.
- 22:58I will say though, that like sitting down and taking the
- 23:00notes did make me appreciate the good parts of the script a lot
- 23:03more. OK but the bad just still stick
- 23:06out so bad and like it's just they're there's no subtlety in
- 23:12this movie at all. Like, like I said, they beat us
- 23:17over the fucking head with the fact that Wendy's a control
- 23:20freak. Yeah, I get that.
- 23:22Yeah, it's a little bit weak in that regard.
- 23:24So it's just, it's just a little rough for me.
- 23:27OK, my only bet is we don't get like, actual physical Tony Todd.
- 23:33Yeah, he doesn't show up as Bloodworth.
- 23:35We get him as the the voice of the roller coaster demon.
- 23:39But that's it. Also the train station boys at
- 23:41the end. Yes, OK.
- 23:43And they did name one of the cops Bloodworths.
- 23:46I saw that, Yeah. I thought that was weird.
- 23:48I don't like that. Like only one Bloodworth.
- 23:50Please don't. Don't do that.
- 23:53Ugly. Obviously.
- 23:54Frankie Cheeks. That's all I wrote to.
- 23:56He's a sexy pet. He's a sexy.
- 23:58Pet. He's a sexy pet.
- 23:59Yeah, he's a sex pest. Also, unfortunately, while we do
- 24:05have the what the fuck is a Bruin anyway?
- 24:08Somebody at the gym also uses an F slur.
- 24:12Yeah, and that like and it's just in the background and you
- 24:15probably wouldn't hear it, but we watch with captions.
- 24:17So that's gross. Yeah, that is, I agree with both
- 24:21of those. OK, are you absurd?
- 24:25So they're at senior night at a theme park, right?
- 24:28And it seems reasonably close to graduation, yes.
- 24:32Yeah. That's that's, I mean, we don't
- 24:34get an exact timeline of how long happens between the
- 24:37accident and graduation, but it seems relatively close.
- 24:40They describe them as well, they can't be graduates because
- 24:44they're at school but like. No, it's it's the last day of
- 24:47school. That was the last day.
- 24:48OK, That's what I thought. OK.
- 24:50And they're seniors because it was senior night at the theme
- 24:52park. So Wendy is taking the pictures
- 24:56and she says I have to turn this in tomorrow for the yearbook.
- 25:00But if it's already the end of the school year, the yearbook
- 25:03has already been made and printed and sold.
- 25:05Oh my God. Yeah, I.
- 25:08Hadn't even thought of. That Yeah.
- 25:10So what the fuck is this timeline and what the fuck is it
- 25:13ruin anyway? I like, OK, yeah, yeah, that,
- 25:19that just every single time that happens, I'm like, what is the,
- 25:21what is the, what is the goddamn timeline?
- 25:24What is happening here? Man, I hadn't even thought about
- 25:26that but yeah, blew the whole plot wide.
- 25:30Open right there. Ruined it.
- 25:31Ruined it. All ruined.
- 25:33It OK what's your truth? Like at the end, like we we
- 25:39haven't revealed that there were two extra people on the roller
- 25:43coaster they were trying to figure out.
- 25:44It is one of them is Julie and then the other one is this other
- 25:47person that just does not get a fucking name.
- 25:49Perry. OK, Perry is her name, but do
- 25:51they even see it in the movie? Yeah, because she says it's
- 25:54either somebody or Perry. And then she dies.
- 25:56Yeah, we get. She doesn't even get dialogue.
- 25:59We just get this one person, just.
- 26:00Randomly and goes. Home and just boom right through
- 26:03her. Like, it's just that was funny
- 26:05to me that like we have this one person should be a pretty big
- 26:08part of the story here, but she just kills like gets killed off
- 26:11so unceremoniously, unceremoniously.
- 26:14Unceremoniously, yes, I like that.
- 26:19It's just funny to me. I also like in the beginning
- 26:21when Kevin, his actor, I feel like this showed the theater kid
- 26:28and the actor there. Whenever that random dudes goes
- 26:30up to dance with them and he like hops up, he gets some
- 26:33fucking air and he claps those two feet together there.
- 26:36I'm like that dudes trained. Dudes that can do that love
- 26:39showing off their ability to do that.
- 26:42That's theater, kid. I have never known a person that
- 26:45can do that that I haven't seen them do it multiple times.
- 26:48Well, I mean, come on, man. It's an incredible skill.
- 26:50It has to be seen. It's a sight to behold.
- 26:53I can do it. Can you?
- 26:55How come you've never done it, you just disproved?
- 27:01I said, dudes, you can do that. We'll show it off every time.
- 27:04Touché I usually use dude as a like a all.
- 27:08No, I meant no, this is gender specific OK?
- 27:11This is not gender inclusive dude.
- 27:13This is. Well, I, you know, I'm going to
- 27:16just prove you right because if I were, if I had that ability of
- 27:21Oh yeah, like when we were talking about in watchers in our
- 27:26TV or not to be like jumping through the door, hip checking
- 27:28the door to get out. I'd be doing that on my way out
- 27:30of all of the doors doing that like down steps.
- 27:34Yeah, like, fuck. Yeah.
- 27:36OK, All right, let's trade it. I still, like I said, as bad as
- 27:40I think some of the dialogue is, and there's some very real
- 27:43problems that I have with it, I think it's fun.
- 27:46I also love Saw Seven, so this is my taste in movies.
- 27:49I think it's great, it's enjoyable.
- 27:51I'm going to give it an 8. Damn dude I hate this movie but
- 27:55it's amazing. It's a name.
- 27:56No, it's garbage and I love it. OK, I I guess I can understand.
- 28:01I love this movie man. It's one of it.
- 28:03Like might be the one I enjoy the most to.
- 28:05Watch it's kind of like, you know, there's always movies that
- 28:10you could like if you were going to try and suggest one that you
- 28:12think like I needed cheering up. You have movies that you would
- 28:15pick for me. This is 1.
- 28:16I would always pick for you. Yeah, it's like it's my it's my
- 28:20go to in the franchise. I think I got to give it a 10
- 28:23OK. So our starting average is A9.
- 28:25All right, I I can live with that.
- 28:27OK, OK, let's get into it then. OK, so we start off, we just
- 28:33we've got opening credits over top of a fairgrounds, a theme
- 28:37park. Yeah.
- 28:39It's I wrote Carnival, but like the Devil's Flight is an actual
- 28:42built. It's an actual they have filmed
- 28:44this at an actual amusement park.
- 28:45I mean I've always gotten carnival vibes when watching
- 28:49this, but it. Thank you.
- 28:50It's an amusement park for the movie's sake, I.
- 28:52Assume it's one of of those things that, like, if you live
- 28:54like, I was supposed to have lunch with my friends today who
- 28:57grew up in Cincinnati, and I was gonna ask her if they did Senior
- 29:02nights, things like that at Kings Island.
- 29:04Yeah, yeah. Kings Island is such a bigger
- 29:06place like. It is much bigger than what this
- 29:08place looks like. Yeah, this.
- 29:09Looks like a fair, but either way it's the yeah part yeah?
- 29:13We cut into one of those, the drop towers, and it's called the
- 29:17high dive, but the V is like flickering in and out, so it
- 29:20looks like it says high dye. Yeah, she takes a picture of it
- 29:22for Sun right there. They get they have coaster
- 29:25passes for 9:15. More places should have roller
- 29:27coaster passes. Was it?
- 29:29What would that be? Like you have like a timeline
- 29:32for when you go and get in line. I think Disney does that with
- 29:34some of their bigger rides, but it's like, you know, basically
- 29:37you've got a time slot for when you can go ride the rides.
- 29:40That way you don't spend all day in line.
- 29:41Oh, that's a great idea. Yeah, man, Yeah, they need to
- 29:44do. That so they want to grab some
- 29:46food before they go go ride the roller coaster and they're like
- 29:51making this big deal about it being the Devil's Bible.
- 29:52But it's, I mean, it just looks like a pretty standard roller
- 29:57coaster. I mean, it's like, see, I think
- 30:02we have to just in the like in relation to where they're at,
- 30:07that might be the best that they have in their area.
- 30:09I guess. OK.
- 30:10Yeah, that's fair. Yeah.
- 30:12So yeah, it's a big deal to them.
- 30:14And they're so like, Kevin and Jason go to get food, and Wendy
- 30:20and Carrie are talking amongst themselves.
- 30:22Yeah, Wendy's. Like I'm normally in such a
- 30:23control freak. Yeah, I don't know how you would
- 30:26live with them. Like I'm going to like.
- 30:27Yeah, I couldn't handle Kevin because he's too well.
- 30:31And then Carrie's like, well, I'm going to break up with him
- 30:33after school. Yeah, so so they're boogieing
- 30:37down. This is where Kevin does his
- 30:38little jump in cuz you know, in his mind he's got the perfect
- 30:41relationship. He's dude, he's got this guy
- 30:43challenging him to a dance off. He's gonna show off that dance
- 30:46move, but the guy matches it. Yeah.
- 30:48So then they have to dance even harder.
- 30:50Yeah, he really took the wind out of his sails.
- 30:53He's like, man, He's like, and I've even got my said Tobey
- 30:56Maguire, Spider Man 3 hair. Yeah, the whole movie.
- 31:01So Wendy's sister is there also. She's not a senior, but you know
- 31:05Wendy would be a bitch if she told her mom so.
- 31:08Yeah, she's not supposed to be there, but I don't understand
- 31:10why you're mad. Like, it's the amusement park,
- 31:12so why can't your sister be there?
- 31:14You know, like. It's There are no parents
- 31:17involved in this movie. The only adult we actually see
- 31:21are the cops and Yuri at the tanning salon and probably
- 31:25Frankie Cheeks. Frankie Cheeks is like barely an
- 31:29adult and I think Yuri is also like barely an adult and.
- 31:32Yuri has Gray hair. I think he's just got bad skin
- 31:34from all the tanning. OK, Wendy is afraid of the
- 31:38roller coaster and Jay gives her this great pep talk and is,
- 31:42like, very comforting. He's like, come on, we're gonna
- 31:44do this together. Liar.
- 31:47Yeah, yeah, he takes this picture up front from the.
- 31:50Devil. He's like matching the energy of
- 31:52the devil, which is a fun picture.
- 31:53Yeah, it's a good picture. Yeah, so they and then we get
- 31:57the obligatory Tony Todd double voice.
- 31:59Yeah, Texas Battle is showing off how strong he is at a ride.
- 32:03I love this. Like he doesn't.
- 32:05He's like yeah give me 5 and he goes over to guy to get 5 and he
- 32:08draws it back. He's like who the fuck you think
- 32:10you are? Just like.
- 32:12I love his character. Yeah, he.
- 32:14Soaks up every second he's on the screen.
- 32:16Fun energy he does a great. Job this This is probably like
- 32:19for as many problems as I have with the dialogue, it's probably
- 32:22the strongest cast. It's a great cast.
- 32:24Yeah, it really is. I mean, like, I don't know,
- 32:27one's pretty good. One.
- 32:28Yeah, it it's up there with one I like.
- 32:32Yeah, All the other movies that I could, the cast is kind of
- 32:34forgettable to me, but yeah, those two movies for sure, yeah.
- 32:38So they get to the ride and they're gonna be carted up front
- 32:43and Wendy's like, no, I can't do that.
- 32:45I can't see the rails. I get that.
- 32:47I'm generally I can't ride in the front of a roller coaster
- 32:50either. It just, it panics me a little
- 32:51bit too much. And they say, well, Carrie will
- 32:55ride with you. And she's like, no, I want to
- 32:58ride in the front. And so Jay and Kevin flip a
- 33:01coin. And I'm just like, Jason, my
- 33:05guy. You just gave her this whole big
- 33:07pep talk about like how there's nothing to be afraid.
- 33:09You're just afraid of the loss of control.
- 33:11It'll be fine. I'll be with you.
- 33:13You are not. Look, this is the rule.
- 33:15If that's your girlfriend, you go with your girlfriend.
- 33:17That's how you like. You don't like.
- 33:19Well, I want to also be in the front, so I'm going to go to the
- 33:22front with my friend's girlfriend instead.
- 33:25It's just, the whole thing is just ridiculous.
- 33:28Yeah, it's that's not how it should be.
- 33:31This guy fucked up a little bit. So coming up right here, our
- 33:34very first diversion from the movie here we get so they do a
- 33:38coin toss, like a coin flip to figure out who goes in the
- 33:41front, who goes in the back. We never actually see the result
- 33:43of it. In no we don't, but so choosing
- 33:47heads by choosing heads, the movie continues as normal if you
- 33:50choose tails. The whole She sees the
- 33:53premonition, but everybody gets off.
- 33:54Yep, everybody gets off. Yeah, that's right.
- 33:56And then they're all safe. And then we just get like, it
- 33:58cuts to the end of the movie. It tells us what their lives are
- 34:01after this. Hold on, I think I let me see if
- 34:03I get what they're. Cuz I know Carrie breaks up with
- 34:07Kevin, he's heartbroken. I think he joins the military or
- 34:09something. When do you decide she wants to
- 34:12embrace her gifts and she becomes like a Long Island
- 34:14medium? Yeah, she becomes a medium where
- 34:16like they consult her for like all of these high profile cases
- 34:19and stuff like that. Yeah, yeah, It's really
- 34:22interesting actually. Like it actually gives you a
- 34:24background of all of this stuff. Yeah, and it's it's just fun.
- 34:28It's it was bizarre the first time it happened.
- 34:30And sometimes we're just like, dude, I just.
- 34:31Want to read and then the credits roll?
- 34:33Yeah, like the movie is over. If you want to keep playing, you
- 34:37got to restart the movie. Yeah, it's kind of fun.
- 34:40I remember the first time that happened, we were like what the
- 34:42fuck? Oh, OK, I guess that's it.
- 34:45I guess we only wanted to watch 15 minutes of Final Destination
- 34:48through today. OK, so we're choosing whichever
- 34:531 gets us to go to. So she has a premonition.
- 34:58Kevin, he's got some gum in his side of the the car.
- 35:02So that's one of the tales. Right.
- 35:04Yeah, like he grabs onto like it's not his gum.
- 35:06No, somebody sucked their gum under there, so OK, they're
- 35:10going. Yeah, they she's got her camera
- 35:13and she's going to take a picture and the tenant says,
- 35:15hey, no loose items, no cameras. And so he's like, can I just,
- 35:18Kevin says can I just put it in my pocket?
- 35:19And he's like, yeah, that's fine.
- 35:21Frankie Cheeks, who's being a sex fest.
- 35:22Ashlyn and Ashlyn. He overhears.
- 35:25Understand how the seating works on a roller coaster cuz you're
- 35:27not gonna be able to see Ashley and Ashlyn in front of you.
- 35:32He did his best. He's trying.
- 35:34He's making a video, man. OK, He's gonna edit.
- 35:37He's gonna do some edits. Some of my post effects right
- 35:39there. He's gonna get it.
- 35:41So as they're going through the ride like we see like hydraulic.
- 35:46Drips, yeah, whenever they're they put on Texas battles
- 35:49Lewis's his fasten and they causes something to like trip in
- 35:55the cart below, which causes like a fluid to leak.
- 35:57From it, yeah. And so they go up and then down,
- 36:03and as they're going through the loop, Frankie has his camera out
- 36:07and is harassing them and they knock the camera down.
- 36:10It falls down to the rail, wraps around, and then when the car
- 36:15gets down, it hits that things come undone.
- 36:19Cars are flying. They're fastens all.
- 36:22Seatbelts are coming undone. We've got people falling out of
- 36:26their seats, people getting whipped apart by loose carts.
- 36:31Yeah, carts flying off the rails.
- 36:33At one point the coaster gets stuck at the top of the loop and
- 36:36it's Ian and Aaron and Kevin and Wendy.
- 36:40And two other people that fall that we don't know, they just
- 36:43kind of blurs. Yeah, Ian and Erin are trying to
- 36:46hold on, but they end up falling out, too, which this isn't great
- 36:50for the editing of the film, but we kind of see Erin's actress,
- 36:53like, adjust her feet so that way she, like, will fall out of
- 36:56the cart a little bit. Yeah, you can see her kind of
- 36:58like pulling her legs out. And I'm like, girl, you could
- 37:01have just like Nod didn't. Notice.
- 37:04That and then they it comes down to just Kevin and Wendy and
- 37:10they're like rocking the roller coaster and they end up going
- 37:12back. Something cuts Kevin in half and
- 37:15he's it's. Like one of the poles is.
- 37:16Like, yeah, knocked. Loose and it's up there.
- 37:18He's still standing in this car and it cuts him in half.
- 37:21And then the car crashes and Wendy dies.
- 37:23But then she comes back and she's crying and she's like
- 37:26trying to get them to stop. They release just the back part
- 37:30of the train and they get her off and they're trying to calm
- 37:33her down. And then it turns in like Texas
- 37:35Battle Lewis. He is just saying like, oh, she
- 37:38just wants some attention. And then Kevin goes, you know
- 37:42what? Fuck you.
- 37:43And he says fuck wah. Which?
- 37:45Is a gun fantastic writing in this movie, in this part?
- 37:48So they get into a fight and they accidentally hit Aaron
- 37:52which gets McKinley angry and he jumps into the fight so they all
- 37:56leave. The the Ashley and Ashton are
- 37:59fed up with the bullshit so they're like fuck it, let's just
- 38:01go Frankie. Follows what they say is let's
- 38:04out. Let's out.
- 38:06Let's out. And so they leave there.
- 38:09So this is how all these people leave.
- 38:11Yeah, and Jay is asking to get off the rug because he wants to
- 38:15take care of Wendy and everybody.
- 38:17Again, I say you probably should have sat next to your fucking
- 38:19girlfriend from the go. Yeah, that's price you payment.
- 38:23But they're they're, you know, channeling Ramones and saying
- 38:26hi, ho. Let's go.
- 38:28That's how you get it going. So they get going and then it
- 38:31still wrecks regardless. No, and here's the thing, people
- 38:34complain about this a lot online.
- 38:35Because they're like, without Frankie, it doesn't happen.
- 38:37But there are other things happening, and the whole point
- 38:39of this entire goddamn franchise is that death always finds a
- 38:42way. Yeah, that's true.
- 38:43So. And there were multiple things
- 38:45that we saw happening with the roller coaster that was causing
- 38:47issues, so something was going to happen either way.
- 38:50I think the problem a lot of people has is like the coaster
- 38:55flies off in the exact same way as the premonition, which if
- 38:59things like you need those things to play out the exact
- 39:01same way for that to happen. Unless something else falls,
- 39:04it's just a little bit easy. We just don't know.
- 39:06We didn't see the whole crash, so we don't know 100% what
- 39:08happened. Sure.
- 39:10All right, so Wendy is clearing her locker, and it's a rainy day
- 39:14because it matches her mood symbolism.
- 39:17Kevin is trying to talk to her, and she's like, listen, I'm not
- 39:20going to graduation. Jay and Carrie, if they're, you
- 39:24know, really in an afterlife, they're not going to be at
- 39:26graduation. They don't care either.
- 39:28And he's like, I promised Jay I would take care of you.
- 39:30And she was like, yeah, but, you know, on the roller coaster for
- 39:34three minutes. Not for the rest of our lives.
- 39:36If you and Jay weren't friends and me and Carrie weren't
- 39:38friends, you and I wouldn't ever hang out.
- 39:41We're not even. We don't even like each other.
- 39:44And it's the same energy as Brittany Murphy and Clueless
- 39:47where she's like you're just a virgin who can't drive.
- 39:52Just as devastating. And that's why Kevin has to keep
- 39:55his sad Spider Man here for the rest of the movie.
- 39:59Well, he has every right. He's sad here.
- 40:00Yeah. Yeah.
- 40:01So. When he's trying to say like,
- 40:02you're not alone, she goes, whatever, I get it.
- 40:04Yeah, we're all here. He goes no, like literally.
- 40:06Like there's this kid on Flight 180 who saw like a crash
- 40:09happening. Oh yeah, yeah, he does.
- 40:11Like he researched it a little bit.
- 40:13But she's just ignoring. And then she makes a point of
- 40:15like walking past this pavilion where everybody is sitting and
- 40:19dry. And she's just like it feels
- 40:22passive aggressive how wet she is choosing to be.
- 40:25Yeah, she's sad, man. She's in her feelings.
- 40:28Let her have her feeling. She's still.
- 40:29She's fresh out of high school, OK?
- 40:31She's not emotionally mature yet.
- 40:35But Ashley and Ashley and they're like, we should invite
- 40:38her and they're like. That was so nice of us.
- 40:41Nice of that. Yeah.
- 40:42They invite her to go tanning. She's like, I guess maybe.
- 40:44So they they hand her a note with their number.
- 40:46And she's like, I already have yours.
- 40:48Why don't you just call her then?
- 40:49Yeah, I don't know. Whatever, Julie and Wendy have a
- 40:53sister moment back at the house because Wendy's like, hey, I
- 40:55feel really guilty. Normally I'm such a control
- 40:58freak. She was like being kind of mean
- 41:01to her though, like when the sister was like, she did like, I
- 41:04know that they both experienced this at the same time, but like
- 41:06and. That's something that we don't
- 41:07talk about with this movie enough, is that Julie is also
- 41:11dealing with this near death thing, but she somehow like she
- 41:15doesn't ever bring it up to anybody.
- 41:17She's like Wendy, have the moment, but I think she's
- 41:19dealing with some shit. She was not supposed to be
- 41:23there. If she brings it up, she's
- 41:24telling people that she was there.
- 41:26But still, she's dealing with some shit internally,
- 41:29psychologically. Maybe some people handle that
- 41:32better. See, the reason that Wendy is
- 41:34having such a hard time and she lost her boyfriend.
- 41:36She's got survivor's skill and she's the reason that she got a
- 41:39lot of those people off, but she couldn't get her boyfriend off.
- 41:41I understand what she's struggling with is a little bit
- 41:43more Julie. She's still a teenager.
- 41:47Maybe that does hit her hard, but maybe she's like oh cool, I
- 41:50got off easy, you know like I don't know, I.
- 41:54Don't know. We cut to the Ashley's, the
- 41:57Ashley, Ashlyn's, the Ashes. They are at the salon, the
- 42:03tanning salon, and Yuri keeps getting calls on his personal
- 42:05cell phone. He says the beds mess with the
- 42:08signal and he can't talk on the phone and the the salon because
- 42:12it's a personal call. So they're like, it's fine, we
- 42:14can handle this. They close up the shop because
- 42:16they want it all to themselves and they.
- 42:20He tells them no drinks and they pretend like they're throwing
- 42:23their drinks away, but they sneak in.
- 42:24They sneak them in. They we see like one of them put
- 42:27a heavy gym bag on a coat rack and it kind of makes it
- 42:30unbalanced. They're looking at the CDs on
- 42:33the shelf and it comes a little bit loose on the wall.
- 42:38She has a drink on the table. She sets her drink on the table.
- 42:41That also increase the temperature of the room.
- 42:43So here's another here's another diversion right here.
- 42:47So you get the choice between 73° or 76° when Ashley and
- 42:52Ashland arrive in the tanning room.
- 42:54OK so if you choose 73° the movie continues as normal
- 42:59choosing 76. Ashwin manages to get out of her
- 43:02tanning bed as it begins to malfunction but she is knocked
- 43:05out by the shelf. Ashley scream screaming wakes
- 43:08her up and Ashwin tried to pull tries to pull Ashley out but
- 43:12when she grabs her hand both the girls get electrocuted killing
- 43:15them. Yep.
- 43:16So instead of burning together, they just get electrocuted.
- 43:19Yeah, but they both still die. Yeah, and you still get that
- 43:22shot. Yeah, which is so cool.
- 43:24Yeah. And in the midst of all this,
- 43:27Wendy had been, like, looking through pictures, and she felt
- 43:29something weird when she saw a picture of the ashes.
- 43:32And she tries to call them and goes to voicemail.
- 43:34I do appreciate in this movie that when we hear cell phones
- 43:37ring, they're like, not just a standard, like we get like
- 43:41customized. Rings.
- 43:42Yeah, that's an appropriate one for right here.
- 43:44Too. Yeah.
- 43:46So we go to their funeral and the priest is saying, like,
- 43:52everybody's equal in deaths. And Ian McKinley is like, no,
- 43:55he's like, we got, we got pimps and vice presidents still
- 43:59walking around and these two girls who haven't done shit to
- 44:03anyone. McKinley, you're not wrong, but
- 44:06wrong time. You're not wrong, Walter, you're
- 44:09just an ass. Yeah, you're being a Dick.
- 44:12And then him and Aaron get into a van that I have to assume is
- 44:16Chris Lemci's personal vehicle because I'm positive this is
- 44:19what he drives in Ginger snacks. Same exact thought crossed my
- 44:22mind. It is the exact same van he like
- 44:25I mean what the fuck I need to ask somebody about this.
- 44:29I I just like it's got to be like who?
- 44:32Why would they can? You look up cars for
- 44:34registration in Canada? Like can we see what vehicles
- 44:37registered degree of slim chi? Aw, man, yeah, it is.
- 44:40I mean, it's just funny. It's a funny quince, and it's if
- 44:43anything. And then Kevin gets a call from
- 44:47Wendy, which all of these people are at the funeral, right?
- 44:51Like including Louis, who's like, man, this is so why did
- 44:53you go to the funeral? Who made you?
- 44:55Who made you go there, Louis? It's Mom.
- 44:59We don't know that there are no fucking adults in this movie as
- 45:01far as we can. Tell Ed and Eddie adults aren't.
- 45:04I think they're, like, just imaginary.
- 45:06Yeah. Yeah.
- 45:07Well, so, yeah, Wendy, call us Kevin.
- 45:09He's like, hey, come over here. I met Jay's.
- 45:11Yeah, she says. I'm with Jay.
- 45:13Yeah, so he goes over there and she's like, she's telling him
- 45:16about like the spirit that she's feeling.
- 45:18Yeah, and she says that she doesn't think it's him because
- 45:21she it doesn't mean it's cold. Yeah, it doesn't make her feel
- 45:24the way that Jay made her. Feel, I like the shot is really
- 45:26cool because like, the way that the camera is position and then
- 45:29like she's like, when she's staying nice, she's like, it's
- 45:31cold. Like I don't like the way it
- 45:33makes me feel. And then like, you see the wind
- 45:34blow the trees behind her. I guess it's just cool, like
- 45:37having that like moment where that's like, yeah, fuck yeah,
- 45:40I'm here to fuck with you. She shows him other premonitory
- 45:44photos from history and she's explaining all of these things
- 45:46and she's like, well, you're the one who said, you know, there
- 45:49have been other premonitions and stuff.
- 45:50So is it just me or is it is the 9/11 1 too soon?
- 45:55This was 2006. It felt a little.
- 45:59Soon, it felt soon for me, like I cannot believe they let that
- 46:02through because they have a picture of like the shadow of a
- 46:05plane on the Trade Center. Also, like Ian makes several
- 46:10references to Osama bin Laden, who at that point was still
- 46:13alive. Yeah, yeah.
- 46:16So. He, he didn't make it, but you
- 46:19know, I maybe in the afterlife he got peace knowing that bin
- 46:22Laden got his in 2010, 2011, 2011.
- 46:27I think it was when we were still in high school.
- 46:29No, it was college, because that was the only time my second
- 46:33roommate ever talked to me was when he looked at me.
- 46:36He's like, dude, they killed Bin Laden.
- 46:39Yeah. Either way, Wendy gets woozy and
- 46:46Kevin asked when she's eaten. At what point did you realize
- 46:48his name was Kevin? Sorry, I just need to bring this
- 46:50up because Travis was writing his name as Evan throughout the
- 46:531st. Part of yeah, so in my notes,
- 46:55it's just like a really aggressive, like Kevin for a
- 46:58long, long time, it happened whenever he's like a talking
- 47:05about Flight 180 the first time when they were at the high
- 47:08school. OK, Yeah, yeah.
- 47:11So he takes her to get some food.
- 47:13Very obviously a McDonald's. Yeah.
- 47:16If you know the signs, you know the signs, it's one of those.
- 47:20And so they're in the truck. They're talking about 180.
- 47:24They're talking about the order of the deaths.
- 47:26And she says, well, that would make Frankie next.
- 47:28So they look at his photo and she's like, and they're trying
- 47:31to figure out different things. They're like a ladder.
- 47:33So is he going to be climbing something?
- 47:35She goes, well, it's a rope ladder, so maybe it could be a
- 47:37hanging. That was also where he won that
- 47:39stupid pin up necklace. And you know, the semi mudflaps
- 47:42have the pin up girl on them. You know, like she's actually
- 47:46figure she's jumped ahead in the figuring out of the clues from
- 47:50where our characters normally are at this point in the film.
- 47:53And I think that's kind of nice that we don't have to go through
- 47:55the same beats that we always go through and being like.
- 47:59Yeah, I can't remember. She's all, Yeah, she's seen
- 48:01Jason Sue where she saw the roller coaster.
- 48:04He was like imitating the devil, which means that that ride's
- 48:06probably going to kill him. And then it's the roller
- 48:07coaster, like going right towards his head.
- 48:09Yeah, and then the Ashleys and Ashlands, it was like.
- 48:13The inflatable palm. Tree.
- 48:14Yeah, and there was like a blur, like a red blur in the photo.
- 48:20So they're trying to figure this out.
- 48:22And they're in line in the drive through line and there is a car
- 48:27in front of them and the guy is being kind of a Dick.
- 48:30And then there's a truck behind them that are getting frustrated
- 48:32with them not paying attention. And then we see a like, dump
- 48:37truck type thing and it backs up, gets Kevin's truck stuck,
- 48:42which was the general problem to begin with.
- 48:45And then there is another like delivery truck up a hill that
- 48:50it's brakes come loose and it starts speeding down the hill.
- 48:53The car that's behind Kevin's truck realizes what's happening,
- 48:57drives out of the way. Kevin and Wendy are desperately
- 48:59trying to get the person in front of them to move.
- 49:01He just slips them off. Kevin eventually busts out the
- 49:04windshield of his truck and they get out just in time.
- 49:07And the the engine of his truck gets knocked out when they're
- 49:15when the loose truck, the runaway truck hits it and it the
- 49:19fan of it hits Frankie in the back of his head that it was it
- 49:22was in the car in front of them. They don't realize it until
- 49:25after he's dead. And this is where we have
- 49:27another Choose Your Fate moment. Yeah, so the one this time is in
- 49:30the movie. And this is the only other one
- 49:33that actually changes the. Yeah, yeah.
- 49:36This one has a pretty big change here.
- 49:37So it's should Winnie honk again.
- 49:41So she honks once and then if you choose no don't honk again,
- 49:45the movie continues to use as normal but if she honks 2 times,
- 49:50Frankie flips him off again. Which you know, I, I couldn't
- 49:54remember if that was the thing that happened in both of them.
- 49:56But it's enough for him to get a warning this time and he's able
- 49:59to escape and he doesn't die, but he still gets arrested.
- 50:05So he's not there for the rest of the movie because he has
- 50:07indecent pictures of women on his.
- 50:09Yes, and it's a little bit later.
- 50:11It's just a random moment that you get, and it's not even in
- 50:14this scene, but it's just like later on, you see him cuffed on
- 50:17the side of a sidewalk and he's asking Kevin and Wendy for help
- 50:20because they're arresting him. So I like that that change.
- 50:23If he's gonna be the one that's arrested, I'm glad at least his
- 50:26sex pest self is getting taken away.
- 50:28Yeah, yeah, which is yeah is cool.
- 50:31So they are looking through the photos, unsure of who is behind
- 50:35Ian and Aaron, but they've got to get to Louis first.
- 50:37Louis has a Sultan in the background of his and that is
- 50:40his college team. He's at their training camp
- 50:44right now and they go to the training camp and this is how
- 50:48the scene plays out normally, 'cause they go in there and it's
- 50:51a really loud and aggressive locker room and Louis's workout
- 50:54is really disorganized. I like what what?
- 50:58How many sets and reps are you doing?
- 51:00They they did or they were they were on to it here because when
- 51:03she was looking at the picture of the first time, she's like,
- 51:05OK, so it looks like a weights coming down on his head.
- 51:07You had it right there. But then Kevin's like, no,
- 51:10there's the there's a mascot right there with two scimitars
- 51:14like that right there is the thing that's going to get them
- 51:17So and I see those hanging above.
- 51:19Ended up in the gym. Yeah, it ended up in both.
- 51:22But yeah, yeah. And like, they've got, I guess a
- 51:24big game. Their rivals are the Bruins and
- 51:28they're like, everybody's getting really aggressive and
- 51:30he's working out and he's saying I am the master of my face
- 51:33again. I could just like Texas Battle
- 51:36is one of those. I could just watch him choose
- 51:37scenery all day long. Yeah, every, every found
- 51:40destination has this character that has this moment.
- 51:43Like, yeah, like. That's afraid of me.
- 51:44Yeah, has a God. Complex.
- 51:46Yeah. Yeah.
- 51:48They think that they're going to survive no matter what.
- 51:50So things are going on. At one point a bear gets knocked
- 51:54down, which is funny because they're having the whole what
- 51:56the fuck is a Bruin anyway? Yeah, and it's claw.
- 51:59Come. It's claw comes loose, hits a
- 52:01guy in the eye, he stumbles, hits the Sultan in the
- 52:04background and the swords come down and they cut the cables on
- 52:09the machine Lewis is using and he lets out a final seat.
- 52:13Does kank out me? Woo.
- 52:15And he does one more Rep and it it's like the end of saw Four.
- 52:20Like with the ice cubes. Yeah, except it's weights.
- 52:23Right in his head. So yeah, there was an alteration
- 52:26here. This it's not it's it's the only
- 52:29one that like we avoid it consistently because it just
- 52:32shuts it just the scene so much I.
- 52:34Just can never remember what it is.
- 52:36OK so like should Wendy have another one because when they
- 52:38were discussing the photo. So if you say no, she shouldn't
- 52:42have another look, they the movie continues as normal
- 52:44choosing yes when he takes another look.
- 52:47When Wendy and Kevin go and warn Lewis Lewis about his stuff,
- 52:51they find him on the weightlifting machine.
- 52:52As soon as they get in there and the swords had already fallen
- 52:55and cut the ropes, Lewis says. Fisher, what the fuck are you
- 52:58doing here? As the lifts, as he's lifting
- 53:01the weights one more time and that's when he died.
- 53:03So he doesn't have his moment of like, that's afraid of me.
- 53:06I'm, you know, I'm not going to die.
- 53:07He's just like, what the fuck are you guys doing here?
- 53:09Boom, dead. It's worse, Yeah, it's a much
- 53:11worse. It's it's the only one that I'm
- 53:13like, wow, I do not feel satisfied by this.
- 53:16Yeah, it's, it's not that great. OK, so then they go to talk to
- 53:21Ian and Aaron. Ian and Aaron are at work.
- 53:23They're closing up. There is far too much that they
- 53:26are responsible for being minimum wage very new post high
- 53:30school graduates. Yeah, they're working at like a
- 53:32hardware home improvement store. Yeah, Ian has to kill pigeons
- 53:35with a nail gun. I'm not entirely certain that's
- 53:38the instructions he was given, but I also am leaving space for
- 53:41the fact that they could be. That is also one of the other
- 53:43ones there. We'll go through the normal
- 53:45thing here and go through the alternate here in a second.
- 53:47But the one you pointed out, that's also a very, very good
- 53:49point, is this motherfucker ain't gonna have a forklift
- 53:52license. Yeah, you need to have specials
- 53:54like certifications to be able to drive a forklift.
- 53:56Yeah, it's and it's not just like a.
- 53:58It's a high school fresh off high school.
- 54:00Like, you know, I don't think that they would get that for
- 54:03like somebody that's 17. I do think that this is a really
- 54:06cute like true couple moment though because they call each
- 54:09other's a pip and. Zip.
- 54:10Yeah, I like it. Yeah.
- 54:11It was really funny. Like, that's their like,
- 54:12walkie-talkie names. Yeah, yeah.
- 54:15So yeah, they're trying to convince them that all this
- 54:18shit's happening, but they are just mocking them the entire
- 54:20time because they don't buy it. It's just supernatural bullshit
- 54:24to them. I do like the one where they're
- 54:25like, who was it behind you on the roller coaster?
- 54:29And they're like, I didn't catch his name, but the right
- 54:31attendant did take his sickle. Yeah, yeah, that was pretty
- 54:35funny. So, yeah, basically they're just
- 54:37not taking it seriously. And then at one point, Ian
- 54:40'cause he, like, you know, he talks about all of these death
- 54:43statistics, you know, you're more likely to die on your way
- 54:46to an amusement park than die at an amusement park.
- 54:50And then he says, you know, well, if death really does have
- 54:53this design and it's going in this order, in theory, when the
- 54:56utilitarian move be the last person in line, just go ahead.
- 55:00And that way, you know, it cuts death off, stops it in its
- 55:04tracks, saves all of these lives.
- 55:07We've seen that's been tried and found the sanction too.
- 55:10Eugene tried to kill himself but it couldn't happen.
- 55:13That does not allow it. And Wendy's just like, listen,
- 55:16we're just trying to warn you. We're trying to, you know, stop
- 55:19all this from happening. And they keep they're like
- 55:21making him really nervous without even meaning to because
- 55:24they just keep saying watch out. And like he's on the forklift,
- 55:28you got to be careful with that shit.
- 55:29And he's knocking stuff over. And in the meantime, dad is
- 55:32doing it's little things like some stuff had fallen into
- 55:35another forklift and had it moving slowly.
- 55:37So it's knocking shelves down and stuff.
- 55:40And what happens is at one point a shelf is hit and it knocks a
- 55:44box of steaks down. Wendy pushes Ian out of the way.
- 55:49It ends up causing Aaron to be knocked into a shelf where the
- 55:52nail gun was. And it goes and in their
- 55:56picture, like she had covered her eyes up because of the flash
- 55:59and that's how her like that's how she.
- 56:02Yeah, yeah, it gets like nailed to.
- 56:03Her face like that, yeah. Yep.
- 56:05So McKinley now is just holding them responsible for her death.
- 56:09Yep. Do you want to cover the
- 56:13alternate? So yeah, it's the killing shot.
- 56:15So it's whenever he's got the gun, like the nail gun, and he's
- 56:18shooting at the pigeons. So if you choose killing shot,
- 56:21that's when the movie continues as normal.
- 56:22If he does a warning shot in, misses the pigeons and they fly
- 56:26away. Ian laughs and says you can run
- 56:28babies, but you can't hide, not from daddy because now he's
- 56:31pissed off, man. And then later, Wendy saves Ian
- 56:34from being impelled by plywood. Plywood does not pop the
- 56:37sandbag. Instead, the pigeons that
- 56:39weren't shot fly up in Aaron's face, causing her to stumble
- 56:42onto the nail gun. So, yeah, still mostly the same
- 56:46death. It's just a different way that
- 56:48it happens. Yeah, All right.
- 56:51Kevin didn't tell the cops what was going on, and Wendy's like,
- 56:54why? I told him everything and that
- 56:57that's it. Yeah.
- 56:59Like we don't, we don't we have the least amount of cops in
- 57:02this. Movie, The thing is like, it's
- 57:04just it's gonna be more of the same.
- 57:06It's gonna be. Like, yeah.
- 57:07You're telling me that Death is actually doing this shit?
- 57:09Really. Like, yeah, we've already done
- 57:11that the past two movies. We don't need to tread that
- 57:13again. But they did realize that
- 57:15because they intervened with Ian's death that it skipped him.
- 57:19So and then they also kind of have a moment where they admit
- 57:22that they're friends. Yeah.
- 57:25He throws it back in his face like she's like.
- 57:27Oh, we don't even like each other anyway.
- 57:28He's got to go work the tricentennial and she's nervous
- 57:32that he's not going to be like, they're not sticking together
- 57:34the entire time, but he's going to go do that.
- 57:39She's at home. She's having this moment where
- 57:41she's like with Julie and she's going to let her take the
- 57:45camera. No, that was that.
- 57:47Was way earlier, yeah. She's she's asleep.
- 57:49Here on her desk and Julie comes in to get her charm bracelet.
- 57:52And she sneaks it away. Wendy wakes up and then she
- 57:55looks at the picture again and she realizes that the person
- 57:58behind Ian and Aaron has a charm bracelet on.
- 58:00That's right. So she calls Kevin.
- 58:01She goes, Julie was behind them, and it's either Perry or the
- 58:05other friend that was sitting next to her.
- 58:07And he's like, all right, well, I'm here working security.
- 58:10I'll look for Julie. And he's also like, hey, by the
- 58:12way. We need to look at our photos.
- 58:14Thank you. And so her photo, she's wearing
- 58:19a McKinley High shirt and she's like, I don't know, but it feels
- 58:25like it has something to do with you and McKinley.
- 58:27Her picture doesn't really give you a lot of quiz.
- 58:29I think that would have to be that.
- 58:30Yeah. And then Kevin's is very
- 58:33overexposed. There's a big flash in his face
- 58:35and he says almost like a firework going off in it.
- 58:38And then he looks at a big table of fireworks.
- 58:42Julie is there and Kevin is trying to talk to her, and she's
- 58:47very creeped out by him. And I'm like, Kevin's been in
- 58:50your house, girl. You've met this man.
- 58:52Yeah, he's she's, yeah, she she's just trying to get away
- 58:56from him, so he's having to chase her around.
- 58:58And Wendy is being followed by EN.
- 59:00And then we've got some asshole teens that are messing with
- 59:04horses. It's just like a lot of things
- 59:05are happening. Yeah, they get firecrackers and
- 59:08they toss them around. These horses here, when the
- 59:10fireworks are about to go off anyway, that's mean to the
- 59:12horses. It's not smart.
- 59:15I understand from their tricentennial thing like we got
- 59:17to go old school and get horses but like use some common sense.
- 59:22Yeah. And so one of the horses gets
- 59:24spooked and it runs. It's little like stake that's
- 59:27holding. It comes out of the ground and
- 59:29as it's running, it loops the rope around Julie's neck and
- 59:33she's being dragged. But Kevin saves her.
- 59:37So I bet you feel kind of bad for treating him the way you
- 59:40were, don't you, Julie? And while she is still kind of
- 59:43trying to recover from all of that, Wendy's like, hey, Julie.
- 59:46Hey, Julie, listen to me. Listen, I know you're on the
- 59:47roll. Julie, Julie, Julie, who is
- 59:51Julie? Who is next to you on the roller
- 59:53coaster? They're next.
- 59:53And then Perry goes, what? And then she gets.
- 59:56Impaled with the flag? Yeah, it's just all happened.
- 1:00:00So far, again, she's one of those characters that if I was
- 1:00:03in this movie, that's who I want to be.
- 1:00:05I have no idea what's going on. I'm not afraid of my impending
- 1:00:08death and it's quick. This happens.
- 1:00:10Yeah, yeah, yeah. She did have like a pretty
- 1:00:12quick, I don't know, I don't think she died instantaneously
- 1:00:15from that being stabbed through your gut.
- 1:00:17She bled out slowly from that. It is.
- 1:00:19I feel like I'm bleeding out slowly from my gut right now so
- 1:00:22that's fair. So they they're trying to leave
- 1:00:26and. Kevin gets kicked into a table.
- 1:00:29Yeah. And so Wendy and Julia are
- 1:00:30trying to help him up into the mid tent.
- 1:00:32Yeah. And then Ian is approaching.
- 1:00:35We didn't talk about this before, but when Wendy was
- 1:00:38driving over to the Tricentennial, she noticed that
- 1:00:40McKinley was telling her in his van.
- 1:00:43So she knows that he is after him or after her.
- 1:00:46And they're trying to warn him like, hey, you're the reason or
- 1:00:48like, you just need to stay the fuck away from me.
- 1:00:50And that's when he's like, Oh my God, I'm the one that causes
- 1:00:53your death. He seems way too excited about
- 1:00:55it. Well.
- 1:00:55Yeah, he he has a new found power.
- 1:00:57Yeah. And then like this table of
- 1:01:01fireworks goes off, Julie, Wendy and Kevin duck, and they don't
- 1:01:04get hit. And none of them hit Ian either.
- 1:01:06And he's like, see, it's gets me.
- 1:01:08I'm good. When he's doing that, that's the
- 1:01:10exact pose he has in that picture too.
- 1:01:13Oh no, I didn't notice that I. Noticed that for the first time
- 1:01:15last night. Like the the pose of this
- 1:01:16picture, like when he's like dodging the fireworks, like,
- 1:01:19that's OK, yeah. When he was embarrassed to
- 1:01:20death. Yeah, exactly.
- 1:01:21Yeah, that was his. That was his pose.
- 1:01:23OK. Yeah.
- 1:01:25OK, so yeah, he's like, look at that.
- 1:01:27Like it's not coming for me, You save me.
- 1:01:29It's skipped me. Like I'm not going to die.
- 1:01:31And then the cherry picker crushes him.
- 1:01:34So here's one that is really funny.
- 1:01:37You choose jump right or jump left.
- 1:01:39If you jump left the movie continues as normal.
- 1:01:43Apparently if you jump right there is something different
- 1:01:45that happens. I've always thought that it
- 1:01:46didn't make a difference because he dies regardless right here.
- 1:01:49But if you choose jump right, the cherry picker completes
- 1:01:52completely crushes him waving nothing left for him that's you
- 1:01:54don't see his dead body flipping off Wendy.
- 1:01:57After this Wendy and Kevin and Joy stand up and when he says
- 1:02:00that the camera, Joy swears that she didn't take any pictures and
- 1:02:03that she will take it back Monday.
- 1:02:05But Wendy says forget it and throws it on the floor and steps
- 1:02:07on it crushing it. The three walk off, unaware that
- 1:02:10the broken camera snaps one last photo, which ends the film, and
- 1:02:13that's when the credits roll. So that's the original ending we
- 1:02:15get if you choose that. OK, Yeah.
- 1:02:18Instead, we get 5 months later, Wendy's on a subway with her
- 1:02:22roommate and one of their friends, and they're in car 180.
- 1:02:27Yeah, we hear the train announcer saying that there's
- 1:02:30one more stop and then it's the end of the line.
- 1:02:33And then train announcer is Tony Todd.
- 1:02:35Julie gets on as Wendy's trying to get off cuz she's getting a
- 1:02:38weird feeling and she's trying to get off.
- 1:02:39And Julie's like, oh, hey, I wanted to come see you early.
- 1:02:42The car wasn't working. So, you know, I just figured I'd
- 1:02:45go ahead and take the train. And so Wendy starts to introduce
- 1:02:49her to her friends and then they look over and they see Kevin and
- 1:02:53she's like, I've been having a weird feeling, the same feeling
- 1:02:55I felt that day. And they're like, no, we've been
- 1:02:57over this a million times. Besides, like, you know, Wendy,
- 1:03:00you're in a good position cuz me and Kevin both have to die.
- 1:03:03And so him being there on the train.
- 1:03:05It's a bad sign. It's a bad sign and they they go
- 1:03:10to talk to him and he's like, oh hey.
- 1:03:13And he kind of looks in Wendy's face and realizes what she's
- 1:03:18feeling. She'd have to be probably one of
- 1:03:20the most terrifying friends to have because if she ever has
- 1:03:23this, like, emotional moment where you're like, she starts to
- 1:03:25get sad, you're like, oh, my God, it's happening.
- 1:03:26Yeah. I would like never want to be
- 1:03:28friends with her. And then the train goes off, a
- 1:03:31rail crashes, everything's a disaster.
- 1:03:35The deaths that happen in this right here are fucking intense.
- 1:03:38Yeah. So like, Julie gets like
- 1:03:40something from outside, like, comes through one of the windows
- 1:03:43of the train and completely obliterates Julie.
- 1:03:46Kevin gets sucked out of the train and is grinded up against
- 1:03:51the walls of the train. I can't remember what happened
- 1:03:56to her friend. But Wendy herself is thrown out
- 1:03:59and she's on the rails and she's looking around.
- 1:04:01She sees all of these dead bodies and she looks up and
- 1:04:05there's another train coming and there's no way for her to get
- 1:04:07away. And this is where we have the
- 1:04:08final Choose your Fate moment. So it's either she looks at the
- 1:04:13map and the train, or she doesn't look at the map.
- 1:04:15If she doesn't look at the map, the movie continues as normal.
- 1:04:18If she looks at it, Kevin and Julie meet up, train crashes and
- 1:04:21Julie is smashed by a train. Will and Kevin is ground up
- 1:04:24against tunnel wall. Yeah, yeah.
- 1:04:25OK then the train is in the ruins and when he is the only
- 1:04:29survivor, she lies on the track, covered in blood and injured.
- 1:04:32She tries to stand up but her leg is broken.
- 1:04:34She stares at all the dead bodies and sobs.
- 1:04:36Then she hears another train coming.
- 1:04:37She turns and sees trains speeding towards her, screams
- 1:04:40and tear, and it hits her as both the former split and guts
- 1:04:44splatter everywhere, covering the whole screen at the same
- 1:04:46time, and her premonition turns into a reality of her demise.
- 1:04:50That's basically how the other one ends.
- 1:04:52Yeah, except we we see them when she has the premonition, they
- 1:04:58try to get off, they pull the E brake and it doesn't work and
- 1:05:03then it cuts to black and we just hear crashing sounds.
- 1:05:06That's right. I think with the map, we see
- 1:05:08like the death happen again. Yeah, Yeah, OK.
- 1:05:10We see her, like realizing it, that it's over that time.
- 1:05:14OK, that's it. That's the movie.
- 1:05:18Do you change your score any? I think an 8 is still
- 1:05:21appropriate. All right, I'm keeping mine at
- 1:05:2210, So what would you change? I think I would just make some
- 1:05:26of the dialogue better. OK cuz one that's good is good
- 1:05:29but one is bad is bad. That's that's fair, That's fair.
- 1:05:35What do you think Talia would rate this?
- 1:05:37She was pretty sleepy during it, but she's seen this several
- 1:05:40dozen times. Yeah, she.
- 1:05:44I don't know man. She doesn't like roller
- 1:05:46coasters. She doesn't like pictures
- 1:05:48either. She.
- 1:05:49Doesn't like pictures, she doesn't like roller coasters.
- 1:05:51She always knows best. Yeah.
- 1:05:54And she would feel frustrated like Wendy, with nobody taking
- 1:05:56her series such. She's always in control.
- 1:05:59Yeah, she's, yeah, she is in control.
- 1:06:01She is control. Yeah.
- 1:06:04I think that she would give this.
- 1:06:07I think she gives it, yeah. OK, 6 sounds about right, yeah.
- 1:06:10Zoe's ultimate warrior. It's tough.
- 1:06:13I mean, it's Louis. Louis.
- 1:06:16Yeah, why? Cuz Zoe's invincible.
- 1:06:19She's great. Death is afraid of her.
- 1:06:21You know what? Yeah.
- 1:06:23Yeah, she does kind of give up Louis in her energy sometimes.
- 1:06:27Now does Courtney hoot or does Courtney holler?
- 1:06:30I think Courtney, because no adults, no way I can tell you
- 1:06:37don't do that, Kitty. Cordelia is still learning so
- 1:06:41much about the world. I took our duvet cover off the
- 1:06:45bed to wash it today and it shocked her.
- 1:06:49Yeah, she wasn't really. She was upset, she was so mad.
- 1:06:53And every time we go back to the bedroom she's like, are you
- 1:06:55going to put it back on there? And I'm like no, because we have
- 1:06:57to dry it 10 fucking times because we've got a tiny at home
- 1:07:00dryer. Yeah, Yeah.
- 1:07:02I think that in this world where adults don't exist, she, she,
- 1:07:06she had a hoot with a yeah. Yeah, OK.
- 1:07:10What? Oh, we don't do dream sequel
- 1:07:13because this isn't our franchise.
- 1:07:14What? Would Dom do?
- 1:07:16What would Dom do? I mean Domin be fucking with an
- 1:07:20amusement park anyway because he drives faster than a roller
- 1:07:22coaster can go. If he ever goes to an amusement
- 1:07:24park, he drives his car on the rails.
- 1:07:26Yeah, he's like, I don't need that coaster.
- 1:07:29Yeah, and if he if he was on a roller coaster and it crashed,
- 1:07:31like he would just maneuver himself out and land without
- 1:07:34getting hurt. Yeah, death does not get
- 1:07:37peaceful. Are you kidding me?
- 1:07:40Who did you relate to? I man, I don't know who did I
- 1:07:47relate to. I guess I related to Jason
- 1:07:51because I like to go into the front of the cart, but my
- 1:07:55girlfriend slash wife now does not like to go into the front of
- 1:08:00the roller coasters. Except do you sit with me?
- 1:08:02I sit with you. You better than Jason I.
- 1:08:04Don't complain about it, but I relate to the fact that I like
- 1:08:06to go to the front. OK, who do I relate to?
- 1:08:13I guess I probably relate to Erin.
- 1:08:19Just like I wanna get my work done and I wanna leave and I
- 1:08:25don't want to shoot pigeons. OK, that's a, you know, that's
- 1:08:30good. I think that's a Jessie.
- 1:08:32Sure. And she is the bang's most like
- 1:08:34mine out of all of the bangs that's.
- 1:08:36True. And you also have that goth
- 1:08:37streak in U2. Yeah, yeah.
- 1:08:40OK, well, it's time to do reviews.
- 1:08:42Yeah, I got a. IMDb review.
- 1:08:45It's a 2 out of 10. It was reviewed May 1st, 2006.
- 1:08:49OK, so shortly after it came out.
- 1:08:53It doesn't thrill, it doesn't scare.
- 1:08:54It's also not funny. Very boring.
- 1:08:56It's the title. Oh boy.
- 1:08:58I am fighting through the 1st 25 minutes of this film and it is
- 1:09:00looking terrible for me at the moment.
- 1:09:02All people are like mad. Where did they find those
- 1:09:05terrible quotes and these awful American hairstyles?
- 1:09:09I'm almost watching it from under the table, embraced with a
- 1:09:11bucket special and sound effects look unrealistic make neither
- 1:09:16make me neither scared nor thrilled, but an empty space in
- 1:09:19my stomach that pulsates from disgust.
- 1:09:21All characters in this film look so primitive that it's almost
- 1:09:24unrealistic. Also wouldn't slash Quown ask
- 1:09:26Hey and I watched Fun Destination one and two and they
- 1:09:29were not bad at all. They're a little boring but
- 1:09:31funny. It seems that the sequel of the
- 1:09:33series was degraded as the publisher wanted to milk some
- 1:09:36more money of the audience. That's it.
- 1:09:38I didn't make it over half an hour though.
- 1:09:40Usually I watch films still being highly advisable.
- 1:09:42I rated it to considering that there might exist a worst film,
- 1:09:46but I'm not sure about that anymore.
- 1:09:49As always, I recommend you at least judge the movie if you
- 1:09:51watch it all the way through. Yeah, I don't think you should
- 1:09:54be allowed to do a review if you haven't watched the whole movie.
- 1:09:57Yeah, I think it's, I'm going to be honest, I didn't vet that
- 1:10:01one. I just kind of pulled like the
- 1:10:02two right there. So I didn't know I was pulling
- 1:10:04an incomplete one. But I think that's a good
- 1:10:06opportunity to just say, hey, like, just watch the movie.
- 1:10:09And if you don't finish the movie, you know, just say you
- 1:10:11couldn't finish it. Don't give a review.
- 1:10:13Yeah, because you don't know, You didn't see.
- 1:10:15That yeah. If somebody asks you, you say,
- 1:10:17Oh, well, no, I started watching.
- 1:10:18She couldn't finish it. Yeah.
- 1:10:19It wasn't for me. Just like I will never rate when
- 1:10:23a stranger calls the original 1 because I've never managed to
- 1:10:26stay awake for the whole thing. Oh wow, I like, I watch the
- 1:10:30beginning and I try and watch the middle part and it's just a
- 1:10:33lot of boring cop stuff. And I say that as a person who
- 1:10:36loves a police procedural. Yeah, it's a lot.
- 1:10:39I mean, the ending picks back up, but the middle snoozer.
- 1:10:43Yeah, no, yeah, it could have been interesting.
- 1:10:46Like if they did something like House of the Devil where like
- 1:10:48wandering around the house is tense because you know shit's
- 1:10:50going down, but it just. It's one of those that the
- 1:10:52remake actually really improved on.
- 1:10:54Yeah, for sure. So.
- 1:10:56But I'm not going to put that on IMDb because it's not fair for
- 1:10:59me to rate a movie I haven't watched all the way through.
- 1:11:01That's right. OK, so we got reviews from
- 1:11:06listeners, so let's get into those here.
- 1:11:09First off, we have Stoney whore says can't be 2000s gold.
- 1:11:15That scared us from going tanny. Yes, listen, if the fear of skin
- 1:11:20cancer or wrinkles didn't get you to stop tanning, hopefully
- 1:11:24this movie did. Right, I know Marni just says
- 1:11:29love it. Ray Cartagena says the last good
- 1:11:33one before the series took a dip.
- 1:11:34The DVD 5050 thing was bogus though.
- 1:11:36Oh. I love the 5050 thing.
- 1:11:38I don't know if that's like a good bogus or bad bogus, but I
- 1:11:41like it. You know, I think it's cool to
- 1:11:42like be able to do that. Some of the you get some less
- 1:11:46satisfactory in the results if you do that, but I still like
- 1:11:50the the chance of it all and I'm.
- 1:11:52Going to kind of spoil us for next month, but we're both
- 1:11:55defenders since the 4th one too. We are, we are, so just be
- 1:12:00prepared for that. Now.
- 1:12:02And finally we have Ward Zombie who says let me pull it up here.
- 1:12:13To be honest, one of the more forgettable of the series.
- 1:12:15Think for me it's the disaster. Just not as memorable.
- 1:12:18OK characters, pretty good depths, but those DVD extras
- 1:12:22that bring it up a notch. Yes, this is still in the era of
- 1:12:26fun DVD's. It was starting to go away, but
- 1:12:29it still was there a little bit. That it's such a cool idea to do
- 1:12:33that. I wish that they put that much
- 1:12:34care into that stuff anymore. I don't understand why the
- 1:12:39boutique Blu-ray people don't do that because like that's your
- 1:12:42fucking market, man, People buying discs.
- 1:12:44So like play into that, like have fun with the discs again,
- 1:12:47you know, like I don't understand.
- 1:12:51I miss it. But I, you know, I, I get it
- 1:12:54that these people, that some of you people aren't as high on
- 1:12:57this movie as I am, and that's OK.
- 1:12:59I don't. I'm not holding it against you,
- 1:13:01I promise. Do we have any updates on our
- 1:13:03polls? No, it's the same results.
- 1:13:05OK. Yeah.
- 1:13:06All right. OK.
