- 1:21Speaker 3: Oh, it's a Friday frame of mind?
- 1:23Speaker 2: Yeah, baby, I gotta tell you know, there's a couple
- 1:25Speaker 2: of times a year in this state where you look
- 1:27Speaker 2: outside and you say it should be you know, Florida
- 1:31Speaker 2: should have like three or four floating days a year
- 1:34Speaker 2: from the state that that the weather is so perfect
- 1:38Speaker 2: and everything is so ideal that no one should have
- 1:41Speaker 2: to work on a day like this. And I think
- 1:42Speaker 2: today maybe one of those days.
- 1:43Speaker 4: Here's a deal sponsored sponsored nationally or at least statewide
- 1:48Speaker 4: by the Chamber of Commerce. That's right, and you are
- 1:50Speaker 4: required to post, uh so, do a social media post
- 1:54Speaker 4: about being outside in the weather in Florida.
- 1:56Speaker 2: In Florida like absolutely, one hundred percent. It is just
- 1:59Speaker 2: absolutely to promotes Florida tourist. Yea, yeah, so beautiful. Today
- 2:03Speaker 2: we have so much to get to. I mean that
- 2:05Speaker 2: Rialt old tower thing is still that is so crazy.
- 2:09Speaker 2: We have that to get to today. I have to
- 2:11Speaker 2: apologize to Jacksonville to do voulte. Damnit.
- 2:15Speaker 4: I thought I was gonna apologize to me. No, really,
- 2:18Speaker 4: but you probably should.
- 2:19Speaker 2: Why what did I do?
- 2:20Speaker 4: Uh well, you lost a bet yesterday, okay, and to me.
- 2:26Speaker 2: It we tied. We like before the show ended, I said,
- 2:29Speaker 2: we both need to throw in like whatever it is.
- 2:32Speaker 4: We tied by the YouTube vote, and this was who
- 2:35Speaker 4: should is responsible to pay for destroyed headphones by having
- 2:38Speaker 4: a dog in the studio On Deborah's.
- 2:40Speaker 2: Bit, Yeah, I was gonna say, let's make sure the
- 2:42Speaker 2: death knows that she's cool.
- 2:43Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, I love our listeners.
- 2:45Speaker 2: Uh huh. And we tied right with the YouTube vote
- 2:48Speaker 2: thirty six percent. Piece of something like that.
- 2:50Speaker 4: At the start of the show, you said Ross was
- 2:54Speaker 4: the juror in this, and when he came down on you,
- 2:57Speaker 4: you said he was only one of the jurors.
- 3:00Speaker 2: Guys said a bunch of things yesterday. You're not supposed
- 3:02Speaker 2: to remember half this stuff. Don't you understand what we do?
- 3:04Speaker 4: So if we take Ross's one vote for you and
- 3:07Speaker 4: added on to our tie, that means that tips of scales,
- 3:11Speaker 4: and that means you're now not a chance, that's not
- 3:15Speaker 4: even a chance.
- 3:15Speaker 2: That's happening.
- 3:16Speaker 5: No way.
- 3:17Speaker 2: How about have baby that occurred to be on my
- 3:19Speaker 2: drive home last night. I'm like, I'll meet you. I'll
- 3:22Speaker 2: meet you halfway. That's about it. Oh god, you know.
- 3:25Speaker 2: And another thing that was happening today is, uh, you
- 3:28Speaker 2: know you always have this crazy I don't know, do
- 3:29Speaker 2: you have ideas that you think you ever sit around
- 3:32Speaker 2: and go, hey that would work? Yeah? Like I do
- 3:35Speaker 2: that all the time, right, I share them out here
- 3:37Speaker 2: so I get I could get mocked openly from you guys.
- 3:39Speaker 2: And a fount of one yesterday, Oh boy, all right,
- 3:42Speaker 2: you know that. So we talked about the welding class.
- 3:45Speaker 3: Yeah, the burn and build over in Coco.
- 3:48Speaker 2: Right, So you know there's there's these businesses built around
- 3:50Speaker 2: getting you in. There's a couple spending money, whether it
- 3:53Speaker 2: be painting and wine or acts throwing or ceramics or
- 3:56Speaker 2: whatever the case may be. Right, And we heard of
- 3:59Speaker 2: this built burn and bill where you can go in
- 4:01Speaker 2: weld learn how to weld. Yeah. Interesting, My wife would
- 4:04Speaker 2: have zero interest, right right right? I think it's kind
- 4:08Speaker 2: of cool though. I was talking to my wife about it.
- 4:10Speaker 2: She actually knows how to weld. I do not. Of
- 4:11Speaker 2: all the things I can do, I cannot weld. I've
- 4:13Speaker 2: never done it and never even tried it. And I
- 4:15Speaker 2: have an uncle that's been doing it professionally since he
- 4:17Speaker 2: was like eighteen. But I don't know how to do
- 4:19Speaker 2: it right, wouldn't even know where to start, I know,
- 4:22Speaker 2: But I thought it one last night I thought was
- 4:24Speaker 2: kind of cool. Right. What about where are you high?
- 4:27Speaker 2: No legit? Question legit as far as you know?
- 4:33Speaker 6: No?
- 4:34Speaker 2: Yes? Oh, what about a DJing class? Wouldn't that be badass?
- 4:40Speaker 3: That's not bad?
- 4:41Speaker 5: Wouldn't that be.
- 4:41Speaker 2: A badass thing? They have four or five places set
- 4:43Speaker 2: up where you'd learn how to scratch records and DJ
- 4:47Speaker 2: and mix music and it done?
- 4:48Speaker 3: Beat Nick, I actually, Jack, you've done this.
- 4:51Speaker 2: You can help me out of here.
- 4:52Speaker 6: I actually think David Martin from Fox thirty five was
- 4:55Speaker 6: recently featuring a place just like.
- 4:57Speaker 2: Are you serious?
- 4:58Speaker 3: I am absolutely on us.
- 5:03Speaker 2: Well, I'm onto something, Jack, somebody already thought of it,
- 5:05Speaker 2: but I thought that'd be kind of cool, Like, look,
- 5:08Speaker 2: here's the thing I love hip hop music. I've never
- 5:09Speaker 2: thought about once. I mean, and look, here's the thing
- 5:11Speaker 2: you can download software to even give us the shot
- 5:15Speaker 2: at your house. I think garage band gives you some
- 5:17Speaker 2: onboard stuff and it's a downloadable, free thing that you
- 5:21Speaker 2: can kind of try to figure out how to make
- 5:22Speaker 2: beats or do something like that. I've never even thought
- 5:25Speaker 2: about it, but for some reason this morning I was
- 5:27Speaker 2: sitting around, was reading some story and it led me
- 5:29Speaker 2: into that whole thing about like, wouldn't it be cool
- 5:32Speaker 2: to learn how to like mix and do beats. I
- 5:34Speaker 2: think it'd begin a neat It would.
- 5:35Speaker 6: Be well when you figure that, I mean, can't be
- 5:38Speaker 6: that difficult. Catholic Church has a priest that's a DJ.
- 5:41Speaker 2: Yeah, but Jack dude this professionally for a while, and
- 5:42Speaker 2: it is more difficult than you think.
- 5:45Speaker 4: And as far as I've never learned how to beat mix,
- 5:48Speaker 4: so there's different of DJs. I eventually I was I
- 5:51Speaker 4: did it. I DJed at Calico Jacks. Whether it was
- 5:54Speaker 4: like there Saturday night, so like in a in a
- 5:57Speaker 4: bar situation, I've djyed weddings with is one of the
- 6:01Speaker 4: hardest types to DJ because of all the things expected
- 6:05Speaker 4: of you, and then you have a crowd from eight
- 6:07Speaker 4: to eighty and you can't please everybody, so you kind
- 6:10Speaker 4: of to just please the bride. Yeah yeah, yea. But
- 6:15Speaker 4: Zeppelin in a baby shark. Then you have club DJs.
- 6:18Speaker 4: Club DJs, which is more beat mixing, and it's all
- 6:21Speaker 4: about getting keeping it hyped.
- 6:24Speaker 2: Everybody feels sex same.
- 6:27Speaker 3: It's funny you say that. That was one of my
- 6:29Speaker 3: favorite Morgan and Morgan commercials.
- 6:31Speaker 2: Oh which one?
- 6:32Speaker 3: Why a cop makes a great DJ?
- 6:34Speaker 6: No, and he's you know, he's mixing and scratch and
- 6:36Speaker 6: then he yells freeze.
- 6:38Speaker 2: That's funny DJ. I think it'd be fun, it'd be
- 6:43Speaker 2: a cool thing. I know, Angel does it, Like Angel
- 6:46Speaker 2: can do that, and but just classes no, no, no,
- 6:49Speaker 2: like he knows how it makes better, meaning theoretically you
- 6:51Speaker 2: get to each I mean, that's what I'm saying is
- 6:53Speaker 2: like you have any you know if you have that,
- 6:54Speaker 2: and you know, look we have a bunch of that
- 6:56Speaker 2: around here with full sale. I just actually I believe
- 6:58Speaker 2: that's what kind of got me on the story. I
- 7:00Speaker 2: think there's another facility opening that's kind of doing that
- 7:03Speaker 2: very thing they're teaching, like music mixing and things of
- 7:06Speaker 2: that nature, because we've only had full sale. But you know,
- 7:08Speaker 2: a lot of people think it's very expensive, and it's
- 7:11Speaker 2: one of those things where you go in there, you
- 7:12Speaker 2: get your degree and then bam, you're loaded down with
- 7:14Speaker 2: debt and you can't you know, you can't do anything.
- 7:16Speaker 4: You know, who think it's very expensive, you said, some people,
- 7:19Speaker 4: like anyone who's had to pay a bell there.
- 7:21Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, four oh seven nine six one four one. Again,
- 7:26Speaker 2: you can always text us at seven seven zero three one. Unfortunately,
- 7:31Speaker 2: Chuck Norris has passed away.
- 7:33Speaker 3: Yeah, that was it was crazy.
- 7:34Speaker 6: You and I were just talking yesterday Jimmy when he
- 7:37Speaker 6: was hospitalized with a medical emergency.
- 7:39Speaker 2: Yeah, and I don't know what it was. I mean,
- 7:41Speaker 2: he has you know, he was in good shape, eighty
- 7:43Speaker 2: six years old, and I guess he was in the
- 7:46Speaker 2: midst of training Uly.
- 7:48Speaker 6: He was in Hawaii training. They said he was in
- 7:50Speaker 6: good spirits and then he had he's in an emergency hospital, yeah,
- 7:56Speaker 6: medical emergency and was hospitalized and then the next thing,
- 7:59Speaker 6: you know, hey.
- 8:00Speaker 2: Yeah, eighty six years old. And for people who you know,
- 8:03Speaker 2: because he hasn't really been in the scene for a while,
- 8:06Speaker 2: you know, he had these probably what have been fifteen
- 8:08Speaker 2: years or so since he did anything on TV, maybe
- 8:10Speaker 2: even longer.
- 8:10Speaker 3: You know, he'll live on forever on the internet.
- 8:13Speaker 2: Oh my god, he will live on in forever with
- 8:16Speaker 2: Chuck Norris jokes. And I don't know what powered those
- 8:19Speaker 2: Chuck Norris jokes, but I will tell you it sealed
- 8:22Speaker 2: my father in law's relationship, because my father in law
- 8:25Speaker 2: has a really good sense of humor. And we would
- 8:27Speaker 2: be working on these damn rental houses we had for
- 8:29Speaker 2: a while, be eighty thousand. It would be in the
- 8:32Speaker 2: dead center of August. We'd be in there, no ac
- 8:34Speaker 2: you know, dudes out they're doing it right now. It
- 8:37Speaker 2: just was brutal as f and as you could ever imagine.
- 8:39Speaker 2: And to lighten up the spirits, I'd memorized a bunch
- 8:42Speaker 2: of these Chuck Norris jokes and I would just start
- 8:44Speaker 2: screaming in them out of the house amongst all the
- 8:46Speaker 2: reciprocating saws and drills, and hear him laugh like a
- 8:51Speaker 2: hyena because he thought they were the funniest things in
- 8:53Speaker 2: the world. Jack, do you remember those did Chuck Norris jokes. Yeah.
- 8:56Speaker 2: So the one thing I liked about Chuck Norris, Oh yeah,
- 8:59Speaker 2: because he had a he had some controversial stuff, right, Yeah,
- 9:03Speaker 2: because didn't he say in twenty twelve, like, uh, after
- 9:05Speaker 2: Barack Obama was elected, the earth would see a thousand
- 9:08Speaker 2: years of darkness? Correct?
- 9:11Speaker 7: Really?
- 9:12Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 9:13Speaker 4: Well it was pre uh the election of twenty twelve,
- 9:17Speaker 4: and it was going into that saying trying to encourage
- 9:19Speaker 4: you to vote for the Republican and he said if
- 9:21Speaker 4: Obama is elect or re elected, it would lead to
- 9:24Speaker 4: a thousand years of darkness.
- 9:26Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 9:27Speaker 3: Yeah, that's right up there with yelling at chairs.
- 9:30Speaker 2: But some of them, some of them were the greatest
- 9:33Speaker 2: of all times.
- 9:33Speaker 4: You've you had the jokes, the memes, they were funny.
- 9:37Speaker 4: I always I don't know the movies, I mean doubt
- 9:40Speaker 4: The Force, I think I remember. But other than that,
- 9:43Speaker 4: just that it was always kind of cheesy. The show
- 9:45Speaker 4: was definitely cheap y.
- 9:46Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 9:47Speaker 2: Yeah, Oh Walker Texas, Oh yeah, as good as bad
- 9:49Speaker 2: as it gets. Yeah, he had he had he had
- 9:52Speaker 2: some uh he had some movie where God Dog not
- 10:00Speaker 2: he and he was like a marshal or something. And
- 10:01Speaker 2: I remember his truck that he was in and got
- 10:03Speaker 2: buried completely buried. But of course you know he wrapped
- 10:06Speaker 2: it up and put it in.
- 10:07Speaker 4: Forol drive and called out of a hole. You remember
- 10:10Speaker 4: what it was, says Marshall. But possibly was he a
- 10:13Speaker 4: Texas Ranger.
- 10:14Speaker 2: No he wasn't. It wasn't It wasn't text, It wasn't that. No, no, no,
- 10:17Speaker 2: this was a movie he did back in the day.
- 10:20Speaker 3: Listeners will let us know.
- 10:22Speaker 4: Texas says like this, The flu gets a Chuck Norris
- 10:24Speaker 4: stop once a year. That's almost like the most interesting
- 10:28Speaker 4: man in the world. Vie Death once had a Chuck
- 10:31Speaker 4: Norris experience of Some of them are so clever. Chuck
- 10:42Speaker 4: Norris can kill two stones with one bird.
- 10:47Speaker 2: There's no chin behind Chuck Norris's beard, just another fist.
- 10:51Speaker 3: I like to think that he's laughing with us.
- 10:53Speaker 2: Sure, man, Chuck Norris built the hospital he was born in.
- 11:01Speaker 2: When did you get to Jim Colbert snort? But Chuck
- 11:04Speaker 2: Norris turned eighteen, his parents moved out. It's so funny.
- 11:11Speaker 2: Right above that Chuck Norris joke, there's a picture of
- 11:14Speaker 2: him wearing like a gay Christmas scarf and holding like
- 11:16Speaker 2: a fluffy.
- 11:17Speaker 3: Puppy something you would never see.
- 11:19Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, anyway, Chuck Norris eighty six years old
- 11:23Speaker 2: and for people who like that was And the thing is,
- 11:26Speaker 2: I was telling Debor during the during the you know
- 11:28Speaker 2: before the show, Jack, you know, we don't have like
- 11:31Speaker 2: since Steven Sagall.
- 11:33Speaker 3: We haven't had like he's a Russian now yeah, ye.
- 11:35Speaker 2: And he's a Russian now. We haven't had like an
- 11:37Speaker 2: American martial art like hero, right, I mean we we
- 11:41Speaker 2: We've had all the imports. We had a John Claude
- 11:43Speaker 2: von dom and he's an American, right, Stephen Steve and
- 11:48Speaker 2: like he's Russian now with a Polish beard. Well, I
- 11:51Speaker 2: mean Steven Skall had two good movies, the.
- 11:53Speaker 4: First one above the last he has three good ones
- 11:56Speaker 4: and then what's the third one with screwface because all
- 12:01Speaker 4: of his movies the second one is on the ship
- 12:03Speaker 4: It's mark for Death was one Tommy Lee Jones.
- 12:06Speaker 2: I think, oh yeah, yeah, yeah, that was executive decision, though.
- 12:09Speaker 4: I think no, no, no, no, the executive decision. What's
- 12:12Speaker 4: funny about that is he threw a hissy fie. Oh
- 12:15Speaker 4: that's right, and he get thrown up the movie. They
- 12:17Speaker 4: killed him in the movie. They killed him in the movie,
- 12:18Speaker 4: and he didn't want to come out of his trailer
- 12:20Speaker 4: to shoot the scene because he's like, oh, my fan,
- 12:23Speaker 4: I heard John leg Wizmo talk about this.
- 12:25Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 12:25Speaker 4: It was like, my fans have never seen me die
- 12:27Speaker 4: in the movie. I don't know if they'll be able
- 12:29Speaker 4: to handle this.
- 12:31Speaker 3: It shot.
- 12:32Speaker 2: Yeah, oh that guy like you hear some clown like
- 12:35Speaker 2: the Saturn out Live thing is my favorite steven Sagall stuff.
- 12:38Speaker 2: But either way, like we've had Bruce Lee, We've had
- 12:40Speaker 2: Jet Lee, we had Jackie Chan, We've had the import
- 12:44Speaker 2: you know, karate stars that we love here, but we
- 12:46Speaker 2: haven't had an American one in a while. I do
- 12:48Speaker 2: you count Karate Kid?
- 12:50Speaker 9: No?
- 12:50Speaker 2: No, you don't, right, because it was like one movie.
- 12:54Speaker 2: It was a dog. The first one was the only
- 12:56Speaker 2: one I under siege was yeah yeah that and above
- 13:01Speaker 2: the Law. No, I'm sorry, he only gets two. Okay,
- 13:03Speaker 2: above the laws. I'm telling you, above the law. Mark
- 13:06Speaker 2: for death is the one where he goes up against
- 13:08Speaker 2: the Jamaican gang member and it had a they have
- 13:10Speaker 2: a member called screw Face because he's got some crazy
- 13:12Speaker 2: scar across his face. That was that was an okay one.
- 13:15Speaker 2: That was a sigull one.
- 13:16Speaker 3: Florida Chuck Norris died.
- 13:17Speaker 6: He resuscitated the fibrillator twice.
- 13:22Speaker 2: All right, four oh seven nine four one text us
- 13:25Speaker 2: at seven seven zero three one. We do have a
- 13:27Speaker 2: bunch of good stuff coming up today. The interview with
- 13:29Speaker 2: the gentleman from Oia, George, is gonna be interesting because
- 13:33Speaker 2: they're one of Stanford though, right hey, yeah, one of
- 13:35Speaker 2: seventeen airports that do something really unique. George speak will
- 13:38Speaker 2: be with us today to talk about that, to see
- 13:40Speaker 2: if they have any downtime and if they you know,
- 13:42Speaker 2: the idea of what happens is what's happening with TSA
- 13:44Speaker 2: right now? Because I don't know if you've seen some
- 13:46Speaker 2: of the photographs out of like Fort Lauderdale and Miami
- 13:48Speaker 2: and across the nation. It's pretty crazy. But what do
- 13:50Speaker 2: you have for news?
- 13:51Speaker 6: Death, Florida honors a fallen soldier, Daytona steps up, spring
- 13:54Speaker 6: break enforcement, and a dancing robot goes wild at a
- 13:58Speaker 6: California restaurant. We'll talk about that and more coming up
- 14:01Speaker 6: next during JCS news All right.
- 14:02Speaker 2: Single break back with Dev's News and more than Jim Gilbert, Joe.
- 14:12Speaker 10: Hery, guys, hear me out.
- 14:14Speaker 11: Maybe he was right at least a little bit with
- 14:18Speaker 11: Obama being elected and the thousand years of sparking this
- 14:21Speaker 11: because of if we don't get Obama's second, we don't
- 14:26Speaker 11: get Trump's first, And if we didn't get Trump's first,
- 14:30Speaker 11: then we don't get the Capitol Riots, we don't get Biden,
- 14:35Speaker 11: we don't get World War three. Maybe he's on the something.
- 14:42Speaker 2: Let's stretch. I'll listen to anything, all right, borrow seven
- 14:46Speaker 2: nine six World War one text us at seven to
- 14:48Speaker 2: seven zero three one. Welcome back. I am Jim. Jack
- 14:53Speaker 2: is right over there, and the lovely, amazing, talented, adorable
- 14:59Speaker 2: you already introduced.
- 15:02Speaker 3: I love your relations.
- 15:03Speaker 2: Jack Broadjaw's here in dead best news.
- 15:06Speaker 3: Yeah whatever for JC This news.
- 15:10Speaker 5: Wow, this guy kind of put his name on everything.
- 15:13Speaker 2: It's in my contracted here's.
- 15:14Speaker 1: The news on the Jim Colber.
- 15:16Speaker 6: Show, and JCS news is brought to you by that
- 15:19Speaker 6: mortgage guy. Don give him a listen tomorrow morning when
- 15:22Speaker 6: he's host of the Home Loans radio show. Officials and
- 15:25Speaker 6: structural engineers continue to investigate the rialto on sand Lake
- 15:29Speaker 6: Road and Doctor Phillips that had to be evacuated yesterday
- 15:32Speaker 6: due to signs of severe and sudden structural failure cracks
- 15:36Speaker 6: began to appear throughout the building, and many doors wouldn't open.
- 15:39Speaker 6: The sprawling, five story apartment building was built. What year
- 15:43Speaker 6: do you guys believe the Rialta was built?
- 15:45Speaker 2: I believe, I know, Okay, you do know. I do
- 15:48Speaker 2: not know. We talk about this a little bit before
- 15:50Speaker 2: the program, and I could not remember.
- 15:52Speaker 3: Well, it's twenty fourteen, No way.
- 15:54Speaker 2: Really, it's just a little over ten years old.
- 15:56Speaker 3: And it was just inspected last year.
- 15:59Speaker 2: Whoa say, like mid nineties. No, holy now.
- 16:04Speaker 6: Nearly four hundred people were evacuated from the building's two
- 16:07Speaker 6: hundred units yesterday. One woman I saw on local news
- 16:10Speaker 6: was like, I have to pay like twenty one hundred
- 16:12Speaker 6: dollars to rent from here, and now I have to
- 16:14Speaker 6: pay twenty three hundred dollars to find, you know, to
- 16:17Speaker 6: stay in a hotel. Investigators are working to determine if
- 16:20Speaker 6: this was damage that developed over time, or if there
- 16:24Speaker 6: was something that caused a sudden shift in the structure.
- 16:27Speaker 6: Of course, you know, yesterday I wasn't shy about mentioning
- 16:29Speaker 6: all that damn construction down there with the sand Lake
- 16:32Speaker 6: Road interchange.
- 16:32Speaker 2: And yeah, not to mention the road construction, but also
- 16:35Speaker 2: the theme park construction that's been going on there across
- 16:37Speaker 2: I mean, right within that same area.
- 16:39Speaker 4: So what's interesting is that suddenly people couldn't open the
- 16:42Speaker 4: door yes to the house, So that that shows it's
- 16:45Speaker 4: more quick onset problems exactly.
- 16:48Speaker 2: Appost of that.
- 16:49Speaker 4: And we were talking a little yesterday. I was looking
- 16:51Speaker 4: at a map of the area. Yeah, so it's got
- 16:54Speaker 4: commercial at that whole first level and then residential stacked
- 16:57Speaker 4: up a few furs on.
- 16:59Speaker 2: Top of that.
- 17:00Speaker 4: That's next to the plaza that has the businesses.
- 17:04Speaker 2: We were with Ocean and Italian and the other one.
- 17:08Speaker 2: And by the way, that style of building is becoming
- 17:09Speaker 2: very popular a number of the areas right around the
- 17:12Speaker 2: corner here in Maitland. Yeah, that has provided that. I
- 17:15Speaker 2: think every single apartment complex has been built over there
- 17:17Speaker 2: has that same theory in housing. Yeah, exact business the
- 17:21Speaker 2: boom housing up top.
- 17:22Speaker 6: Yeah, my hairstylist, that's exactly the setup over there in Maitland.
- 17:26Speaker 2: My daughter works for a nearby apartment complex.
- 17:28Speaker 4: They had eleven units two days ago available out of there.
- 17:32Speaker 2: They have a pretty big building. They only have one left. Wow.
- 17:35Speaker 2: Really yeah, sure, ten new residents have moved in already.
- 17:39Speaker 2: I got to call into Ray to day to try
- 17:40Speaker 2: to get him on the air. He couldn't do it today,
- 17:42Speaker 2: to talk to him about what kind of legal recourse
- 17:44Speaker 2: they have, like to rental contracts cover stuff like this.
- 17:46Speaker 2: We're gonna talk about it.
- 17:47Speaker 5: Later, though.
- 17:48Speaker 2: What does that guy got today?
- 17:49Speaker 6: The county's Emergency Management Office is helping residents find a
- 17:53Speaker 6: place to stay. Florida is preparing to honor Major Cody Cork,
- 17:57Speaker 6: the winter Haven soldier killed in a drone attack this
- 18:00Speaker 6: month in Kuwait. The thirty five year old Army officers
- 18:02Speaker 6: being remembered for his service, leadership, and multiple deployments overseas.
- 18:07Speaker 6: Visitation and a funeral service will take place Saturday at
- 18:10Speaker 6: Haven Worship Center in winter Haven, followed by burial on
- 18:14Speaker 6: Monday at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. The governor has
- 18:18Speaker 6: ordered flags flown at half staff Saturday to honor Major
- 18:21Speaker 6: Cork's sacrifice. All right, gas prices are spiking, especially in
- 18:27Speaker 6: US coastal regions like Florida. Gasbuddy dot com head a
- 18:31Speaker 6: petroleum analysis Patrick de'han explains why, and it's rather interesting.
- 18:37Speaker 2: Florida is more exposed to the global market. The barges
- 18:40Speaker 2: that come into Tampa and Port Everglade certainly can be
- 18:43Speaker 2: moved around, and that gasoline can end up in different destinations.
- 18:47Speaker 6: Right, so we think, oh okay, well, tankers are pulling
- 18:49Speaker 6: up into Tampa in South Florida, and that means plenty
- 18:52Speaker 6: of gas for US. Turns out they could just be
- 18:54Speaker 6: shipping it around elsewhere. Triple A says the statewide average
- 18:57Speaker 6: is holding at three dollars and ninety five cents agall
- 19:00Speaker 6: but that's twenty three cents higher than a week ago
- 19:02Speaker 6: and more than a dollar higher than last month. Meanwhile, China,
- 19:08Speaker 6: which has more refining capacity than the US, is throttling
- 19:12Speaker 6: back its refineries, which is drastically affecting the price of
- 19:16Speaker 6: diesel and jet fuel. Diesel is already more than five
- 19:19Speaker 6: dollars a gallon in Florida, and they're saying grocery prices
- 19:23Speaker 6: are going to be the next because all those fresh
- 19:25Speaker 6: fruits and vegetables they're either brought here by jet fuel
- 19:28Speaker 6: or diesel and something else.
- 19:29Speaker 2: I know, I've talked about this a lot, but the
- 19:31Speaker 2: cruise industry now is reacting to it as well, because
- 19:34Speaker 2: I don't know, if you know, those things hold a
- 19:35Speaker 2: few gallons.
- 19:36Speaker 3: Oh wow, yeah, oh, Wow. I hadn't thought about that.
- 19:39Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, all right.
- 19:40Speaker 6: Now, despite the fact that gas is approaching or even
- 19:43Speaker 6: exceeding four dollars a gallon in Florida, Governor Ron DeSantis
- 19:47Speaker 6: does not support a gas tax holiday and says, hey, listen,
- 19:50Speaker 6: lifting the state's twenty three point five cent per gallon
- 19:53Speaker 6: tax is not the answer.
- 19:56Speaker 12: My answers is get the cost down internationally. That means
- 20:00Speaker 12: having stable energy markets, making sure we're doing everything to
- 20:03Speaker 12: get our stuff to market. But I don't know that
- 20:06Speaker 12: there's going to be any any simple fix.
- 20:10Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 20:10Speaker 6: The governor says the state's ability to influence the price
- 20:13Speaker 6: of gas is quote marginal at best.
- 20:15Speaker 3: End quote.
- 20:16Speaker 6: He says they've done gas tax holidays in the past,
- 20:18Speaker 6: but he says he doesn't think anyone really noticed. I say, Gov,
- 20:21Speaker 6: just try it again and see if that's the case.
- 20:23Speaker 2: Let's roll the dice. He what's up?
- 20:24Speaker 6: He calls it quote a cost of life end quote,
- 20:28Speaker 6: that you have to bear to meet your responsibilities.
- 20:31Speaker 2: Wow. That's an interesting take, isn't it?
- 20:34Speaker 6: Considering how loosey goosey they seem to be with tax dollars.
- 20:37Speaker 2: That's an interesting take, isn't it? And how the lack
- 20:41Speaker 2: of support they give to ev vehicles. Yeah, so being
- 20:43Speaker 2: stiff for six hundred million dollars by the Feds, is
- 20:46Speaker 2: that just life that the taxpayers AFFORDA will eventually have
- 20:50Speaker 2: to pay for if the FEDS decide to stick us
- 20:53Speaker 2: with alligator Alcatraz? Well, cost, is that just life? Is
- 20:56Speaker 2: that just a cost of doing business?
- 20:58Speaker 6: I guess I have a feeling that's what he'll tell Usikes,
- 21:00Speaker 6: here's another cost of life. Airline passengers still dealing with
- 21:03Speaker 6: long lines and disruptions as the partial government shutdown continues.
- 21:07Speaker 6: Authorities have advice travelers to be prepared for worsening wait
- 21:11Speaker 6: times today as Transportation Security Administration workers continue to go
- 21:15Speaker 6: without pay. Now, according to the Department of Homeland Security,
- 21:19Speaker 6: over three hundred TSA workers have left their jobs amid
- 21:22Speaker 6: the shutdown. TSA's acting deputy administrator warned this week that
- 21:26Speaker 6: even some airports around the country, your smaller regional airports
- 21:29Speaker 6: could be forced to close if the shutdown continues. Unfortunately,
- 21:33Speaker 6: the impasse on Capitol Hill shows no signs of letting up,
- 21:36Speaker 6: as lawmakers debate funding for the Department of Homeland Security
- 21:39Speaker 6: before they.
- 21:40Speaker 3: Go on their Easter break.
- 21:41Speaker 6: How are they still allowed to go on break when
- 21:43Speaker 6: the countryes out of stands.
- 21:45Speaker 2: They shall never do that. I heard last night that
- 21:46Speaker 2: there were supposed to be a meeting today that showed
- 21:48Speaker 2: some promise of making some headway toward an answer.
- 21:51Speaker 6: Well, what's really cool is we know one place that
- 21:54Speaker 6: cannot afford to lose any more tourists, and that would be.
- 21:58Speaker 2: That would be Las Vegas.
- 21:59Speaker 6: And Las Vegas casinos are now giving care packages to
- 22:03Speaker 6: TSA agents to help keep the tourists coming into the
- 22:06Speaker 6: city's airport. MGM Resorts International, which owns the Bolaggio ex
- 22:11Speaker 6: Caliber and MGM Grand, says it's been sending meals and
- 22:14Speaker 6: care packages to TSA agents who haven't been paid in weeks.
- 22:18Speaker 3: The casino company.
- 22:19Speaker 6: Says so far it's delivered about thirteen hundred lunches to
- 22:23Speaker 6: Harry Reid International Airport and more are on the way.
- 22:26Speaker 6: There are over one thousand TSA agents at the Las
- 22:29Speaker 6: Vegas airport alone, one thousand TSA agents, which has opened
- 22:33Speaker 6: also opened a food and essentials pantry for TSA and
- 22:37Speaker 6: custom agents affected by the DHS shutdown. If you're going
- 22:40Speaker 6: to be flying or picking maybe someone up from the
- 22:42Speaker 6: airport terminal C is also doing a food and essentials
- 22:46Speaker 6: drive for really for our own TSA agents here in Orlando.
- 22:49Speaker 6: So if you're going to be picking someone up or
- 22:51Speaker 6: doing your own traveling, maybe bring a gas card, some
- 22:54Speaker 6: non perishable food and it would be and they really
- 22:58Speaker 6: really need it. There's one story of a family locally,
- 23:00Speaker 6: the husband, the wife, the daughter, the son, they all
- 23:03Speaker 6: work for TSA.
- 23:04Speaker 2: They all work for TSA. I saw that story. It
- 23:06Speaker 2: was incredible.
- 23:07Speaker 3: It was this.
- 23:07Speaker 6: They said, it's like it's like a twenty thousand dollars
- 23:09Speaker 6: hit just in these last couple of weeks with all
- 23:11Speaker 6: of their pay all right, NASA's rolling out the Artemis
- 23:14Speaker 6: two moon rocket back to the launch bat at Kennedy's
- 23:17Speaker 6: Space Center. The launch the Space Launch System and Ryan
- 23:20Speaker 6: Spacecraft started these slew trip just after midnight, following hours
- 23:24Speaker 6: of delays caused by high winds. The four mile roll
- 23:27Speaker 6: out comes after teams repaired a helium.
- 23:30Speaker 3: Flow issue and replace several batteries. Don't you hate that? Yeah,
- 23:33Speaker 3: she just got to walk over to the box with
- 23:35Speaker 3: the batteries.
- 23:36Speaker 2: But just and they know fire alarms once every six months, do.
- 23:39Speaker 6: It during a nearly month inside the vehicle assembly building,
- 23:42Speaker 6: Artemis two is targeting in early April launch window to
- 23:45Speaker 6: send four astronauts on a ten day loop around the Moon,
- 23:49Speaker 6: the first crude flight of the program.
- 23:51Speaker 2: I think they'll be able to see the war from space,
- 23:56Speaker 2: all right.
- 23:56Speaker 6: Also on the beach, Daytona Beach is stepping up enforcement
- 23:59Speaker 6: as the second weekend of spring break begins. Sheriff Mike
- 24:02Speaker 6: Chitwood says a special event zone took effect at noon,
- 24:05Speaker 6: bringing higher penalties for all violations and an eight pm
- 24:09Speaker 6: to six am curfew for miners. And this, Sheriff ain't
- 24:12Speaker 6: joking around.
- 24:14Speaker 13: We are declaring a special event zone from University Boulevard
- 24:18Speaker 13: the Silver Beach, from the ocean to the river. What
- 24:22Speaker 13: that means is all traffic fines are double. What that
- 24:28Speaker 13: means is I can toe and im pound your vehicle
- 24:31Speaker 13: for the most minor detail.
- 24:33Speaker 3: He sounds like he has at the end of the.
- 24:37Speaker 2: Dad he has had it, Yes he has. He's the
- 24:41Speaker 2: dad of the kid that you would never spend the
- 24:42Speaker 2: night with. You expect him to not make sense anymore.
- 24:47Speaker 2: Like it's so easily over the Yeah, everybody's a dirt bag.
- 24:52Speaker 2: I love it.
- 24:53Speaker 6: Apparently a lot of police officers in Daytona Beach are
- 24:56Speaker 6: just burned out.
- 24:57Speaker 3: They're just all this crap.
- 24:59Speaker 6: So the crack down follows chaotic first weekend that saw
- 25:02Speaker 6: more than one hundred and thirty arrests and several shooting investigations.
- 25:06Speaker 6: Please say they're going to have extra officers on duty
- 25:09Speaker 6: and are taking a zero tolerance approach to prevent another
- 25:12Speaker 6: unruly takeover. And to that end, I say, Sheriff chit
- 25:16Speaker 6: would listen to this next story because, based on the
- 25:20Speaker 6: reaction on social media, excuse me, efforts to change the
- 25:24Speaker 6: perception about spring Break in Bay County are working. Panama
- 25:29Speaker 6: City Beach Police Chief A.
- 25:30Speaker 3: Jr.
- 25:31Speaker 6: Talamentes talked recently about plans to keep the peace. One
- 25:34Speaker 6: thing he's worried about is exactly what Sheriff Chitwood is
- 25:37Speaker 6: dealing with those pop up events called takeovers. Teleamentez says,
- 25:40Speaker 6: these mob mentality takeovers are plaguing the country and he's
- 25:45Speaker 6: doing everything he can to lessen the blow to the community.
- 25:48Speaker 6: So apparently there are videos on social media of spring
- 25:52Speaker 6: Breakers calling the Panama City Beach area lame and advising
- 25:56Speaker 6: people to go elsewhere, and it's working.
- 25:58Speaker 2: How funny is that?
- 26:00Speaker 4: Tals nice that that's the campaign brilliant.
- 26:05Speaker 2: Nothing happened in here exactly.
- 26:07Speaker 3: He says.
- 26:07Speaker 6: This means people can enjoy the beach the correct way,
- 26:10Speaker 6: and he doesn't have to worry about any of these
- 26:11Speaker 6: takeovers because you know, the spring Breakers have already called
- 26:14Speaker 6: his place lane.
- 26:15Speaker 2: That's so funny.
- 26:16Speaker 6: Okay, Now I had asked you about this person's name,
- 26:19Speaker 6: and Jimmy, you had absolutely automatically recognized Dan Lebtah.
- 26:25Speaker 2: Dan Lebatart Lebtark. Yeah, Dan LeBatard, sports talk show host
- 26:29Speaker 2: out of South Florida. His dad. He wrote for the
- 26:32Speaker 2: Miami Harold. His father also wrote for the Miami Herald.
- 26:35Speaker 2: He was with ESPN for a while. ESPN fired employee
- 26:38Speaker 2: of his without telling him, and then he left ESPN
- 26:40Speaker 2: and went back to streaming. Take us. Socially conscious, one
- 26:44Speaker 2: of the few like liberal sports talk guys, but considered
- 26:47Speaker 2: very smart and very aware.
- 26:49Speaker 6: And this has nothing to do with what he does
- 26:51Speaker 6: for a living. Okay, it turns out at Broward County
- 26:53Speaker 6: man is accused of squatting at a home in Miami
- 26:56Speaker 6: Dade County. Miami Shore's police arrested Weston's Deego Alejandro Esca
- 27:02Speaker 6: on Wednesday.
- 27:04Speaker 2: You know what, that's just showing off.
- 27:05Speaker 3: It is.
- 27:06Speaker 2: It is just showing off.
- 27:07Speaker 3: It is, soak it up.
- 27:08Speaker 2: Yeah, I would have been lucky.
- 27:09Speaker 3: You get to be so close.
- 27:10Speaker 2: I would have gotten to Diego Lamar, Texas and now
- 27:12Speaker 2: it's a thing in a can, and then I would
- 27:14Speaker 2: have just blacked out from there. It would have been
- 27:16Speaker 2: Pablo hid Eyes, roll back in the head, tongue swallow
- 27:21Speaker 2: Jack as the saving. Unfortunately, Chuck Norris is not around
- 27:25Speaker 2: anymore to do it.
- 27:26Speaker 3: I know exactly what's going to happen there.
- 27:29Speaker 2: Way what.
- 27:34Speaker 6: He was allegedly living in a home he does not
- 27:37Speaker 6: own without permission. Arrest record show. The home belongs to
- 27:41Speaker 6: Valerie Lebatar.
- 27:43Speaker 2: Oh, yes, his wife.
- 27:44Speaker 3: She's the wife of the podcast host.
- 27:47Speaker 6: So according to local ten, Dan said yesterday on his
- 27:49Speaker 6: show that he believes Escobarrotego was preparing.
- 27:52Speaker 3: To fully occupy the house.
- 27:54Speaker 2: Wow.
- 27:54Speaker 3: Really, so they're lucky they got him out when they did.
- 27:56Speaker 2: Wow, that's crazy.
- 27:58Speaker 6: See I can see in San Diego, Alejandro the rest
- 28:01Speaker 6: of le Batard.
- 28:02Speaker 3: That gives me a hell of a time.
- 28:04Speaker 2: Why is it so difficult, I don't know.
- 28:06Speaker 6: I think because I first tried to pronounce it and
- 28:08Speaker 6: I separated the left from the Batar.
- 28:10Speaker 3: Yea, yea yeah, say it again.
- 28:12Speaker 2: Le Batard, Lebtard, le Batard. Okay, all right, it's no
- 28:15Speaker 2: lay Buitard.
- 28:16Speaker 3: It's a levatar Dan Lebaton, Don LeBatard.
- 28:19Speaker 6: Round one of the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament is underway.
- 28:22Speaker 6: Several Florida teams are in action. Tonight, top seed AT
- 28:25Speaker 6: Florida takes on sixteenth seed Prairie View as part of
- 28:28Speaker 6: six games this weekend at Benchmark International Arena in Tampa.
- 28:32Speaker 3: That game is at nine to twenty five.
- 28:34Speaker 6: Meanwhile, UCF is playing UCLA tonight in Philadelphia at seven
- 28:39Speaker 6: twenty five, and Miami is playing Missouri in Saint Louis
- 28:42Speaker 6: at ten ten. South Florida is already out of the
- 28:45Speaker 6: tournament after falling to Louisville eighty three to seventy nine
- 28:48Speaker 6: and last and yesterday's opening round. Sorry to everyone who's
- 28:51Speaker 6: back of brackets were destroyed.
- 28:53Speaker 2: It doesn't matter. All brackets are destroyed, all bracket Did
- 28:55Speaker 2: you hear about it? I did, Yeah, yeah, two of
- 28:57Speaker 2: the biggest upsets in the history of the of the
- 29:00Speaker 2: March Madness yesterday and ninety nine point two percent of
- 29:04Speaker 2: all brackets are dead. Less than one percent or so live.
- 29:07Speaker 3: That is crazy.
- 29:08Speaker 6: Yeah, And if you're planning to go check out the games,
- 29:12Speaker 6: be aware. Tampa is where six first and second round
- 29:15Speaker 6: games are going to be played this weekend. They're already
- 29:17Speaker 6: warning traffic is going to be out of its mind.
- 29:19Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 29:20Speaker 2: When it comes to the brackets, it's a sorry, sorry
- 29:22Speaker 2: you got the placebo by assual.
- 29:27Speaker 6: All right, are you guys ready for a Florida woman story?
- 29:30Speaker 2: Oh? I love the new breed. Do we need banjo music?
- 29:34Speaker 12: Ah?
- 29:37Speaker 6: An effort to get views on social media? Guys, one
- 29:41Speaker 6: there you go has won? Is Scambia County woman facing charges.
- 29:45Speaker 6: According to a recent dress report, Pensacola's Nicolette Keyoff filmed
- 29:49Speaker 6: herself urinating on furniture at two homes she was renting
- 29:54Speaker 6: downtown through Airbnb. Pensacola police say she posted the video
- 30:00Speaker 6: to an adult website. She leslie calls about how many
- 30:04Speaker 6: dollars worth of damage don't go to Craig Cray, but
- 30:07Speaker 6: she pete on furniture.
- 30:09Speaker 2: Five thousand dollars. I just can't get so. Yeah, you
- 30:13Speaker 2: can log just real quick. You can log on and
- 30:16Speaker 2: then search for a room. That's like a peing on
- 30:19Speaker 2: rando furniture that's like a thing that's a kink the
- 30:21Speaker 2: Golden Showers channel. All right, what was the question again?
- 30:24Speaker 2: Know how much he said that? How much is the furniture? Yeah,
- 30:27Speaker 2: he said she costs how dollars less than that? You
- 30:31Speaker 2: don't put the good stuff in the Airbnb's Jackson. I'll go, oh,
- 30:34Speaker 2: what a good point.
- 30:36Speaker 3: Points Jimmy, three thousand dollars.
- 30:40Speaker 2: You never put the good stuff in the Airbnb.
- 30:42Speaker 6: That's true, Airbnb says Kioff has been removed from their platform.
- 30:46Speaker 3: I wonder why what happened.
- 30:47Speaker 6: Police chief Mike Wood tells Where News he has seen
- 30:50Speaker 6: damage to airbnbs and hotel rooms before, but nothing like this.
- 30:54Speaker 4: I'm saying, a full weekend stay on knucklehead eye.
- 30:58Speaker 3: Exactly out there in your own pp soaked.
- 31:01Speaker 2: Couch looks got to be rules now, man, the last
- 31:04Speaker 2: one I rented, I went in there there were notes everywhere.
- 31:06Speaker 2: I'm like, man, I just moved into like a mad
- 31:08Speaker 2: grandma lives like, tell me your thermer sat can't do this.
- 31:11Speaker 2: You can't use these sheets, don't put these towels on
- 31:13Speaker 2: the ground. You got to clean this before you leave.
- 31:14Speaker 2: I'm like, why am I even here? Exactly, like we're
- 31:17Speaker 2: eight dollars more. I could have got in the hotel
- 31:19Speaker 2: room and somebody does that for me, clean before you leave,
- 31:21Speaker 2: and then we're going to charge you sixty would be
- 31:25Speaker 2: a dream.
- 31:26Speaker 6: And that's after we secretly record you in the bathroom.
- 31:28Speaker 2: Exactly that part. I like, all right.
- 31:30Speaker 6: Finally, Jesus, that's how we knew it was Goldenshower dot com.
- 31:33Speaker 3: You knew the channel, all right, Finally.
- 31:36Speaker 2: The government one was or.
- 31:39Speaker 6: Oh that's charitable, all right. It's not quite like the
- 31:41Speaker 6: day Skynet became self aware. But a dancing robot is
- 31:45Speaker 6: going viral for busting a move and then for busting
- 31:48Speaker 6: dishes at a California Hotspot restaurant. The entertainment robot was
- 31:54Speaker 6: captured on video.
- 31:56Speaker 2: Real Radio, dot FM, slash watch YEP.
- 31:59Speaker 6: The game at robot was captured on video approaching and
- 32:02Speaker 6: pounding on a table at a location in Coopertino. It
- 32:06Speaker 6: then knocked over utensils and food in front of customers
- 32:10Speaker 6: before servers were able to restrain the seemingly rogue device. However,
- 32:15Speaker 6: the restaurant chain says the bot was quote not malfunctioning
- 32:19Speaker 6: or out of control end quote, but its moves were
- 32:22Speaker 6: pre programmed and taking place in a quote closer than
- 32:25Speaker 6: usual setting.
- 32:26Speaker 2: Uh huh.
- 32:27Speaker 6: If you're able to, you're watching it right now on
- 32:30Speaker 6: our YouTube channel.
- 32:31Speaker 2: The one woman looks panicked. She knows, she looks like
- 32:36Speaker 2: she knows that things capable of and does not want
- 32:38Speaker 2: it to happen? Does it?
- 32:39Speaker 4: Does it seemed familiar to you at all? She has
- 32:42Speaker 4: a device in one hand, oh yeah, and then trying
- 32:45Speaker 4: to get control of it, out of control being in another.
- 32:48Speaker 2: Right exactly, that.
- 32:51Speaker 3: Was Je trying to control Doki and you guys think
- 32:54Speaker 3: no again.
- 32:54Speaker 2: And Martinos were apples based right, yeah? Yeah.
- 32:58Speaker 6: Now In Terminator to Judgment Day, great documentary, the world
- 33:01Speaker 6: collapsed after the fictional AI military force went rogue and
- 33:05Speaker 6: started a nuclear apocalypse.
- 33:08Speaker 2: I'm so pissed. This robot has better moves than me.
- 33:12Speaker 2: I loan this thinking. Get down. Look it's the apron.
- 33:15Speaker 2: It says, I'm good, I'm good. You are not good.
- 33:18Speaker 6: You are not She looks like she's hauling off an
- 33:21Speaker 6: unruly toddler. And that concludes your j CS news. I
- 33:28Speaker 6: didn't you okay? And that concludes your j CS news.

- 34:50Speaker 2: What do you say? Yeah, I mean, oh Kine, Howry Kine?
- 34:56Speaker 2: How are you good? Friend? Awful? Why is that?
- 35:00Speaker 5: Oh?
- 35:00Speaker 2: These allergies? Man? Oh yeah, you fought it bad last year.
- 35:04Speaker 2: Not to tell you it's funny because I read a
- 35:06Speaker 2: piece a couple of days ago and I almost brought
- 35:08Speaker 2: it up. But uh, the science hasn't been panned out yet,
- 35:10Speaker 2: but there are some real science breakthroughs when it comes
- 35:14Speaker 2: to people who suffer with hay fever and seasonal allergies,
- 35:18Speaker 2: some real promising stuff that could uh, that could help
- 35:20Speaker 2: out a lot, because I know the misery. Code Black
- 35:22Speaker 2: has it and it puts him down like the flu. Yeah,
- 35:26Speaker 2: and my allergies. You know.
- 35:27Speaker 14: I went in there this this past week and he said, boy,
- 35:29Speaker 14: you look terrible, so looking at my eyes, and he
- 35:32Speaker 14: put me on some kind of new pill that's I
- 35:34Speaker 14: don't know. It's in in Britain and Australia and he
- 35:37Speaker 14: had me order it. So I'm just waiting for waiting
- 35:40Speaker 14: for it to come in. But in the meantime, I'm
- 35:41Speaker 14: on Predma zone and some other crap.
- 35:43Speaker 3: And do you take money?
- 35:45Speaker 2: Give me if I cough? Not?
- 35:46Speaker 14: All I know, I don't do that. I don't do
- 35:48Speaker 14: the shots. I moved to the sublinguals. I'm on that too.
- 35:50Speaker 14: I'm on flow nails, flow nails.
- 35:52Speaker 2: Can I tell you it's the sublingual thing that I
- 35:55Speaker 2: that I read about? So is that? Is that the
- 35:57Speaker 2: one that you're waiting on from somewhere else. I've been
- 36:00Speaker 2: on that for like more than a years. This is
- 36:02Speaker 2: like another pill that prevents, like the the hacking and
- 36:06Speaker 2: the that't how you taste food. Oh no, actually it doesn't, thankfully,
- 36:13Speaker 2: which is wild because allergies usually do because if it
- 36:16Speaker 2: shuts your nose down, you're done to right right. And
- 36:19Speaker 2: for me, it's so it's all the the hacking, it's
- 36:22Speaker 2: all the hopefully we can experience some of that today,
- 36:25Speaker 2: that'd be nice. Fias joins this courtesy of Orlando Weekly
- 36:29Speaker 2: or one of the weekly dot com. That's where he
- 36:31Speaker 2: is the restaurant critic. More than just a reviewer. He
- 36:34Speaker 2: talks about the entire experience. Usually right off rip we
- 36:37Speaker 2: get to the review, let's do that. It's called the
- 36:39Speaker 2: Baker's son. Tell me about the Baker's son. I literally
- 36:43Speaker 2: have not heard of syllable about this place.
- 36:44Speaker 14: So, oh yeah, So it's it's the Baker's Sun by
- 36:48Speaker 14: June Valerio, and the Valarios are a I guess. They're
- 36:52Speaker 14: a multi generational family of bakers of Filipino descent and
- 36:57Speaker 14: they're you know, they're spreading the gospel of Pinoi pastry
- 37:01Speaker 14: making all up and down the country, all over the
- 37:03Speaker 14: continent and here at the Bakers, which is in Kassemi.
- 37:08Speaker 14: I believe the address is forty seven to ninety seven
- 37:10Speaker 14: West Arlow Bronson Memorial Highway.
- 37:13Speaker 2: It's in Kassemi. The kneading, excuse me.
- 37:17Speaker 14: The kneading here begins at the Wei Wei early hours
- 37:20Speaker 14: and they open at seven o'clock and there's usually a
- 37:22Speaker 14: line out the door for people wanting to get their
- 37:24Speaker 14: hands on fresh baked panda sal. And penda sal is
- 37:28Speaker 14: sort of like a it's like a roll, a yeasty,
- 37:31Speaker 14: subtly sweet, very poofy type of roll that you know
- 37:35Speaker 14: that people like to eat for breakfast as well as
- 37:38Speaker 14: as well as their peanut crusted twisted donuts which are
- 37:41Speaker 14: which are called bitchoy bitchoi, which is funny enough, is
- 37:44Speaker 14: how I described you sometimes.
- 37:49Speaker 5: Deserve.
- 37:50Speaker 14: Yeah, but the girl, the girl behind the counter suggested
- 37:53Speaker 14: that we get our hands on something called the Tourne
- 37:55Speaker 14: before it runs out and Tourne are these deep fried
- 37:59Speaker 14: almost like lumpia like and and and if you're watching
- 38:01Speaker 14: on YouTube on the YouTube channel right now, Jack has
- 38:04Speaker 14: a photo of it from my Instagram page at It'spaya's kara.
- 38:07Speaker 2: But this this sort of deep fried role is filled
- 38:10Speaker 2: with plantain and jackfruit. And it was it was quite lovely.
- 38:14Speaker 2: It was very very nice. But the but the thing
- 38:16Speaker 2: that's that differentiates.
- 38:18Speaker 14: This baker's son from the two that are in Texas
- 38:20Speaker 14: and the one in Jacksonville is that they also have
- 38:23Speaker 14: a savory menu. And I had something, you know, I
- 38:27Speaker 14: had the beef empanada. It's an empanada that I've never
- 38:29Speaker 14: actually I never seen an empanada like this before. It
- 38:32Speaker 14: almost looked like a it looked like a boxer's glove
- 38:34Speaker 14: as opposed to the you know, your typical half moon
- 38:37Speaker 14: sort of shad a couple of bites. Yeah, this one
- 38:40Speaker 14: is a fat sort of like patriol.
- 38:42Speaker 2: And And if you scroll through that the next photo, Jack,
- 38:44Speaker 2: I think I think it might be there for people
- 38:46Speaker 2: watching at that thing. It looks like a boxer's glove
- 38:50Speaker 2: with this beef. Yeah. Good. I said this bit.
- 38:53Speaker 14: So this beef empanada is filled with raisins, carrots, dice
- 38:57Speaker 14: potatoes and has like the sort of it almost has
- 38:59Speaker 14: like a slop joe type of a wetter filling. But
- 39:02Speaker 14: that but I guess that pastry is sturdy enough. It's
- 39:05Speaker 14: flaky as well. It was very very nice. And we
- 39:08Speaker 14: were just talking about lumpia, and lumpia is a very
- 39:10Speaker 14: sort of classic Filipino spring roll, the savory lumpia which
- 39:15Speaker 14: it's which which is filled with seasoned ground pork. Here
- 39:18Speaker 14: is I think one of the best renditions of lumpia
- 39:22Speaker 14: I've had in a very very long time. Highly suggest
- 39:25Speaker 14: it and that and that's the next the photo there
- 39:27Speaker 14: for people watching on YouTube Jack And here they actually
- 39:31Speaker 14: dice up, they cut up the rolls into bite sized
- 39:34Speaker 14: pieces and they serve it with a sweet chili sauce.
- 39:36Speaker 14: It's very very nice.
- 39:39Speaker 2: You know.
- 39:39Speaker 14: There's also something called the long silog, which is a
- 39:42Speaker 14: combination of two different Filipino classic dishes, silog being like
- 39:46Speaker 14: the garlic fried rice with the with the fried egg
- 39:49Speaker 14: and long and the long anissa, which is like a sausage.
- 39:52Speaker 14: And here it's served in like a paddy form and
- 39:55Speaker 14: also so so nice. There's a bacon, egg and cheese
- 39:59Speaker 14: sandwich there, and the Filipino version puts like a big
- 40:02Speaker 14: hash brown in there too. And that bacon, by the way,
- 40:05Speaker 14: that bacon, by the way, is a tocino bacon, and
- 40:08Speaker 14: tolsino is like a glaze. It's like a sweet garlic.
- 40:11Speaker 14: The garlicy glaze paralyzes that bacon. Very very nice and
- 40:17Speaker 14: you can have these you can have these meals anytime
- 40:19Speaker 14: of day. There's a photo there of the Philly bisteck
- 40:23Speaker 14: and Philly's spelt f I l I, and this is
- 40:25Speaker 14: sort of like a Philly cheese steak by way of Manila.
- 40:27Speaker 2: And in my review I was talking about how a
- 40:30Speaker 2: lot of like if you people haven't had Filipino food
- 40:33Speaker 2: out there, the meats, a lot of the meats, a
- 40:35Speaker 2: lot of the times incorporate a sweet element, and this
- 40:38Speaker 2: one is no different.
- 40:39Speaker 14: It's marinate the beef. Here's marin marinated in soy and kalamansi.
- 40:43Speaker 14: Kalamansi is a like a small citru spru kind of
- 40:46Speaker 14: like a cross between a lime and a mandarin orange.
- 40:49Speaker 2: It's very nice.
- 40:50Speaker 14: Yeah, So you'll have like certain sweet components to to
- 40:53Speaker 14: the meats. Also a really nice sandwich because you're you know,
- 40:56Speaker 14: they're baking their breads.
- 40:59Speaker 2: I mean, just a minute you showed the breakfast sandwich.
- 41:01Speaker 2: All capa attention to do is the role. The role
- 41:03Speaker 2: looked amazing. Yeah, and that's that. That's that pendacele role. Yeah.
- 41:07Speaker 2: Which again they're baking fresh every day, first thing in
- 41:11Speaker 2: the morning.
- 41:11Speaker 14: And one of the few, one of the few things
- 41:13Speaker 14: that doesn't have a sweet component in the meat is
- 41:15Speaker 14: the popcorn chicken.
- 41:16Speaker 2: Very very nice, bite sized pieces, really nice. You know,
- 41:21Speaker 2: it's it's you can go there for the sweet, so
- 41:23Speaker 2: you can go there for the savories. That's what I
- 41:24Speaker 2: really like about this place.
- 41:25Speaker 14: You know, right before I left, even after stuffing, I
- 41:28Speaker 14: had my eye on this like strawberry and.
- 41:30Speaker 2: Cream brioche roll. And even after.
- 41:32Speaker 14: Stuffing all that, you know, all that sweet and savory
- 41:35Speaker 14: food into my greasy trap, I could not I could
- 41:38Speaker 14: not resist ordering this, this, this straw which is the
- 41:41Speaker 14: next photo jack this this.
- 41:43Speaker 2: Uh, give me five of those, five of those.
- 41:49Speaker 14: As I said, as I said to my review, you
- 41:51Speaker 14: know I, I you know I I should have known
- 41:53Speaker 14: that the only one who could reach me was the
- 41:55Speaker 14: son of a baker man.
- 41:56Speaker 2: Come on, it's the baker's son down in Casimi. Give
- 42:02Speaker 2: it a shot. Let's move on to the Old Heart
- 42:05Speaker 2: Bread Company. They've been in town for a while. What's news.
- 42:07Speaker 14: Oh yeah, Old Heart they're like, you know, they're like
- 42:09Speaker 14: the stalwarts of this good scene in this in the city.
- 42:12Speaker 14: And you know, back in twenty twenty when Backhouse Bakery
- 42:15Speaker 14: clothes in Ivanhoe Village, you.
- 42:17Speaker 2: Know it, you know, it crushed my butter soaked hard
- 42:20Speaker 2: into you know, into like flaky, flaky crumbs.
- 42:22Speaker 14: But anyway, so now now comes word that come May,
- 42:26Speaker 14: Old Hearth Bread Company will open right next door to where.
- 42:29Speaker 2: The Hammered Lamb used to be.
- 42:30Speaker 14: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, and that's soon going to be
- 42:33Speaker 14: a hyperbolic brewing. So they're going to open right next
- 42:35Speaker 14: door and they're going to be serving all the things,
- 42:38Speaker 14: the all the breads, the sour doughs, the croissants, the pastries,
- 42:43Speaker 14: the tarts, and they're going to be offering some experimental
- 42:47Speaker 14: creations as well.
- 42:48Speaker 2: So mid May they're gonna be opening up in Ivanhoe Village.
- 42:50Speaker 2: What a treat it was to live around the corner
- 42:52Speaker 2: from Old Heart there for a minute. It was great
- 42:54Speaker 2: to be able to pop in there and grab fresh
- 42:56Speaker 2: fresh patree, pastries and bread and rolls. It was awesome.
- 43:00Speaker 14: Yeah, yeah, you know, they had like a little stalling
- 43:02Speaker 14: east End market, which I believe they closed in twenty thirteen.
- 43:05Speaker 2: I think, yeah, that's where I guess they have their wholesale.
- 43:07Speaker 2: They have their wholesale operation in Castlebury. But I think
- 43:11Speaker 2: you have to if you're going to buy anything from there,
- 43:13Speaker 2: you have to like arrange a pickup time and all
- 43:16Speaker 2: of that. You can't just go in and buy some right, yeah,
- 43:18Speaker 2: not like a retail spot. All right, that's right, exactly.
- 43:20Speaker 2: Tell me about the Central Florida road trip all the
- 43:22Speaker 2: James Beard Award nominees. This sounds fun. Yeah, so you know, I,
- 43:26Speaker 2: you know, I thought, I, you know, I wanted to.
- 43:27Speaker 14: Go and visit all the James Beard dominees, you know,
- 43:30Speaker 14: and then they're scattered all over Central Florida. So last
- 43:33Speaker 14: week we took a trip out to Lakeland to a
- 43:35Speaker 14: place called Born and Bred Bakehouse. And if I'm sure
- 43:39Speaker 14: the Lakeland listeners here know all about this place, but
- 43:42Speaker 14: I have never been. And let me tell you, without
- 43:44Speaker 14: a doubt, this is one of the premieer bakeries.
- 43:47Speaker 2: In all of Florida. Really it is.
- 43:49Speaker 14: Yes, absolutely, I highly highly encourage people to go this
- 43:53Speaker 14: weekend if they're they want to take a little road trip.
- 43:56Speaker 14: They're only open Wednesdays through Saturdays, and on Saturdays they
- 43:59Speaker 14: close it one, so just be mindful of that.
- 44:05Speaker 2: Their business acumen has been lost on the bakery. You're
- 44:12Speaker 2: been like good, but I get their Saturday by one
- 44:14Speaker 2: guys or we're outy you post office. Yeah, it's it's
- 44:18Speaker 2: a it's it's such a it's like a very rustic
- 44:20Speaker 2: kind of bakery. And what I love is that they
- 44:22Speaker 2: have I guess what you call a live menu right behind,
- 44:25Speaker 2: like the the glass barrier and the counter. They have
- 44:28Speaker 2: everything that they baked.
- 44:29Speaker 14: They just set it right there behind for people to
- 44:32Speaker 14: just to see all the sandwiches, all the the croissants,
- 44:36Speaker 14: and oh my god, their cruffins are insanely good. The
- 44:41Speaker 14: croissant muffin, Wow, that's one is like filled with like
- 44:44Speaker 14: milk and honey, like a creamy milk and honey thing.
- 44:46Speaker 2: It's it's so good. There's sandwiches there. The face you're
- 44:49Speaker 2: making right now is borderline not about food.
- 44:52Speaker 14: I'm gonna be honest with I'm actually I'm gonna go
- 44:54Speaker 14: next weekend. I'm actually I'm gonna go back. It's that good.
- 44:56Speaker 14: It's it's it's an lland so it's about an hour
- 44:59Speaker 14: hour and a half away, you know, but it is
- 45:01Speaker 14: so so Then after that, after the Born and Brett Bakehouse,
- 45:04Speaker 14: we decided to go to Tampa to a place called Roca,
- 45:07Speaker 14: which is another James Beard nominated restaurant. Actually it's the
- 45:12Speaker 14: chef Bryce Bonsak who's nominated, and it's a modern Italian restaurant.
- 45:16Speaker 14: And again, Jim, if you have not been to Roca,
- 45:19Speaker 14: I truly, truly think this is one of the best
- 45:23Speaker 14: Italian restaurants in the whole state. It's without a doubt
- 45:27Speaker 14: that from the housemade pastas, the cocktails that he has
- 45:31Speaker 14: a dry age Rohan Duck, the service, Jim, the service
- 45:34Speaker 14: is so outstanding, impeccable. It's such a well run restaurant.
- 45:39Speaker 14: I again, I in a heartbeat. If you want to
- 45:41Speaker 14: go to rocall.
- 45:43Speaker 2: You, let's go. You're on it, all right, let's do it.
- 45:46Speaker 14: Yeah, I am totally high on this place. It's so
- 45:49Speaker 14: so good, very cool. I think they got a Michelin
- 45:51Speaker 14: star last year.
- 45:52Speaker 2: Wow. Wow, it's truly truly outstanding. The only thing I'd say.
- 45:56Speaker 2: It's in the Tampa Heights neighborhood, and so you'll see
- 45:59Speaker 2: a lot of you know, a lot of fake boobs
- 46:01Speaker 2: and a lot of yeah that's okay and it's fine.
- 46:06Speaker 2: And the whites, Yeah, lots of whites. Say, lots of
- 46:10Speaker 2: whites out there. And we're running short on time, So
- 46:13Speaker 2: let's talk about Shipley. I know that when Shippley closed up,
- 46:16Speaker 2: a lot of people really were kind of freaked out
- 46:19Speaker 2: about it. But uh, is there news Yeah, probably rock.
- 46:23Speaker 14: I know Ross was really high on Shipley's, but I
- 46:25Speaker 14: think the quality sort of, I don't know, went down.
- 46:28Speaker 14: The tubes were a little bit there and they ended
- 46:31Speaker 14: up closing. So I think they got a new franchisee.
- 46:33Speaker 14: So they're they've reopened. In fact, I think they're celebrating
- 46:36Speaker 14: a grand reopening on the twenty seventh, uh, and the
- 46:41Speaker 14: day after I think they have a community a community
- 46:44Speaker 14: appreciation day sort of things. I think they'll have lots
- 46:46Speaker 14: of specials and freebies and that sort of thing. So
- 46:48Speaker 14: they've reopened, and my hope is that the quality has

- 48:29Speaker 10: Good afternoon, jcscrew x Swimmer here. Hey Jimmy, I gotta
- 48:33Speaker 10: agree with you that song should be sunk like the
- 48:35Speaker 10: Battleship right to the bottom of the ocean. Well, if
- 48:38Speaker 10: a catchy tune, that's one thing. And I think maybe
- 48:41Speaker 10: Jack flipping his Yankee hat to his captain Tad has
- 48:44Speaker 10: hurt his brain a little bit. But uh, I don't
- 48:47Speaker 10: see how that could be song you'd want to listen
- 48:50Speaker 10: to buy the water when of my tie in your
- 48:52Speaker 10: hand just doesn't work?
- 48:54Speaker 2: Agreed. Yeah, X Swimmer, I hope you drown. Egg.
- 48:57Speaker 4: You should be at God. You should be at the
- 48:58Speaker 4: bottom of the ocean.
- 49:00Speaker 15: God.
- 49:00Speaker 4: That song you obviously don't get it. Your head is
- 49:03Speaker 4: so dense it's gonna pull you down.
- 49:05Speaker 2: Three under the show Swimmer. I'm glad he's not swimming anymore. Anyway. Here,
- 49:13Speaker 2: how about this?
- 49:15Speaker 7: Lord e Colbert Cue sail Jimmy, I'm coloring.
- 49:22Speaker 5: Aren't you.
- 49:30Speaker 2: Just smoking? Hot? Ross? Keep the jokes coming? And Jack,
- 49:38Speaker 2: I love your brother. Okay, what New York is awesome? Okay,
- 49:42Speaker 2: hold on minute, there's more. Hold on one, deb tell
- 49:48Speaker 2: him you hope he drowns. It's fine, it's it's librating.
- 49:51Speaker 2: And then he mentioned Jack and he said, bros. To
- 49:53Speaker 2: keep the jokes coming, and then he and then he
- 49:55Speaker 2: just stopped.
- 49:56Speaker 3: He started with you started, did he really?
- 49:58Speaker 16: Yeah?
- 49:59Speaker 3: Yeah, said he's coming.
- 50:01Speaker 7: At you a Colbert, Jimmy, I'm color call me out there.
- 50:09Speaker 2: You go, thank your seven that one's one texts seven.
- 50:15Speaker 2: I'm Jim. There's debag of the ear. If you want
- 50:17Speaker 2: to leave the talk back, you could do it as well.
- 50:20Speaker 2: Grab the iHeartRadio app, go to real radio. You'll see
- 50:23Speaker 2: a microphone there. Use that to record and send your
- 50:26Speaker 2: comment over to us.
- 50:27Speaker 17: Uh.
- 50:28Speaker 2: The cool thing is is you can do it until
- 50:29Speaker 2: you get it right. Yeah. Some people don't real we were.
- 50:32Speaker 2: We request you to do it till you get it right.
- 50:34Speaker 18: Yeah.
- 50:35Speaker 3: You don't have to go with your first take.
- 50:37Speaker 2: Yeah. That'd be double good if you just did it right.
- 50:39Speaker 4: Yeah, and you know, turn down the radio if you
- 50:42Speaker 4: while you're recording, roll up your window maybe.
- 50:45Speaker 2: Yeah, make sure you're standing next to a tornado horn.
- 50:50Speaker 2: It's just what we get sometimes, are you truckers? Just
- 50:52Speaker 2: open the window, lean outside, just make the call. It'll
- 50:54Speaker 2: be fine, and but just on speaker. Please. We love that.
- 51:01Speaker 2: I owed Jacksonville an apology.
- 51:04Speaker 4: And again I thought I was getting one. What do
- 51:08Speaker 4: you do to Jacksonville?
- 51:09Speaker 2: Yeah? That was it yesterday, the day before I told
- 51:11Speaker 2: you guys it was the list of the fattest cities
- 51:15Speaker 2: in the US. Yeah, and they also smell bad. What
- 51:17Speaker 2: do we get right?
- 51:17Speaker 5: Right?
- 51:18Speaker 2: The fattest cities in the US and uh, and I
- 51:23Speaker 2: asked how many were in Florida And you guys made
- 51:25Speaker 2: your guests, and I made a Jacksonville joke. Well, today
- 51:29Speaker 2: the list came out of the fattest cities in Florida. Again. No, no,
- 51:35Speaker 2: that was in the nation. Oh I remember, because Little
- 51:37Speaker 2: Rock was number one, all right, and the big deal
- 51:39Speaker 2: was No, none of the top thirty fattest cities in
- 51:43Speaker 2: America were in Florida. And that's why I made the joke.
- 51:45Speaker 2: If it was one, you know who it is, you Jacksonville. Well,
- 51:48Speaker 2: now they released the fattest cities in Florida. It's from
- 51:51Speaker 2: that same list, but they just talk about the Florida cities.
- 51:56Speaker 2: What do you think the fattest city in Florida was
- 51:58Speaker 2: not Jacksonville? Is it Orlando? Why would I have to.
- 52:03Speaker 3: Apologize because it's Orlando.
- 52:06Speaker 2: Orlando is a fifty first fattest city in the United
- 52:10Speaker 2: States of America. Jacking at me, Jacksonville sixty first? Oh no,
- 52:15Speaker 2: only did we beat them?
- 52:17Speaker 3: We beat them good, Yeah, we did.
- 52:19Speaker 2: It's a Orlando, Jacksonville, Tampa, Miami. Miami is the least
- 52:22Speaker 2: of the fattest in Orlando, or in Florida eighty eighth
- 52:26Speaker 2: on the one hundred lists liposuction.
- 52:28Speaker 3: I was going to say, have you been there?
- 52:30Speaker 2: And you know, honest with you, it's it's funny because Orlando,
- 52:33Speaker 2: I don't. I mean, do you guys consider Orlando like
- 52:35Speaker 2: an Obi's fat city. I mean, I guess, no fatter
- 52:38Speaker 2: than any other city.
- 52:39Speaker 4: Right since the sixties when obesity in the United States
- 52:45Speaker 4: was at about fourteen percent and now it's like forty
- 52:48Speaker 4: four percent. Yeah, everywhere is obese and we're not in
- 52:54Speaker 4: the top fifty in this state.
- 52:56Speaker 2: Yeah, that should be good. It's well, I'm not saying
- 53:01Speaker 2: it's good. And we were the highest ranked city in Florida.
- 53:05Speaker 2: We were the highest, I mean obviously because it didn't
- 53:07Speaker 2: even start until you know, we read them all the
- 53:09Speaker 2: way down to thirty and fifty. That's where we appear
- 53:12Speaker 2: fifty first, and we're the very first city that appears.
- 53:15Speaker 3: I'm at least it took us until the fifty mark.
- 53:20Speaker 2: Look I look to show up. I think that's a
- 53:22Speaker 2: positive as well. I mean, we are pretty big. I
- 53:25Speaker 2: don't know, it doesn't Jesus what.
- 53:29Speaker 4: Through fifty's what's the fattest city in Florida.
- 53:32Speaker 2: It's us. We are the fattest city in Florida, fifty first. No,
- 53:36Speaker 2: we're the fifty first fatest a city in the country.
- 53:40Speaker 2: This is came from that same list of the one
- 53:42Speaker 2: hundred fattest city. So we are number one in Florida.
- 53:45Speaker 2: We're the fattest city in Florida. It's over fatter than Jacksonville.
- 53:50Speaker 2: Oh lordy, fatsom.
- 53:51Speaker 3: Bill, keep going and you'll be owing them another apology.
- 53:56Speaker 2: And it says here it says the worst performing category
- 53:59Speaker 2: that we have is health consequences and they list that
- 54:02Speaker 2: as share of adults with high cholesterol, share of diabetic adults,
- 54:06Speaker 2: share of adults with high blood pressure, heart disease rate,
- 54:09Speaker 2: and obesity related death rate. All of these are reasons
- 54:12Speaker 2: you should get a Real Life Imaging nfl A. The
- 54:16Speaker 2: food and fitness part is Miami's problem, and that falls
- 54:19Speaker 2: under share of adults with low fruit vegetable consumption, share
- 54:22Speaker 2: of residents who say they eat healthy, limited access to
- 54:25Speaker 2: healthy food, shareff physical physically inactive adults. Is that because
- 54:30Speaker 2: of all the retirees down there, I thought Miami was
- 54:35Speaker 2: like like like everybody was like in good shape, tanned up,
- 54:38Speaker 2: fake boobs, fake teeth on one end, and then yeah, yeah,
- 54:43Speaker 2: that South Beach is like twenty five of them. Oh yeah,
- 54:45Speaker 2: it's all South Beaches. Anyway, I apologize, Jacksonville, non apologize.
- 54:50Speaker 2: I gotta.
- 54:54Speaker 15: Smell.
- 54:54Speaker 2: It's not right.
- 54:55Speaker 3: You just called them Fatsonville.
- 54:58Speaker 2: I take that back too. I'm trying to make it
- 55:01Speaker 2: funny because I feel like an ass for calling him fat.
- 55:05Speaker 2: I mean, I've met a bunch of them up there,
- 55:06Speaker 2: and they are fat. All are fat. They have to
- 55:11Speaker 2: be leading the league and buffets up there. I know,
- 55:13Speaker 2: that's for sure. And it's it's Jacksonville, really Florida. It's
- 55:16Speaker 2: more son It is like southern Georgia, but it is.
- 55:19Speaker 2: It's Unfortunately it is Florida. Unfortunately, jack We do have
- 55:23Speaker 2: to we do have to claim it. Unfortunately, you have
- 55:26Speaker 2: to get all your bad kids. You have to do it.
- 55:28Speaker 2: Another story, I was looking at here in the central
- 55:31Speaker 2: Florida area. You guys see, there's a guy in town
- 55:32Speaker 2: trying to break a world record. No, and it's wild,
- 55:36Speaker 2: these things, I mean, so when they come through. I
- 55:38Speaker 2: looked at it says March madness has a different meaning
- 55:41Speaker 2: for a certain NBA fan. This guy named Justin Luzner.
- 55:44Speaker 2: I guess is his name. Uh, he's going from one
- 55:46Speaker 2: arena to another this month, and he's trying to get
- 55:49Speaker 2: into the Guinness Book of World Records. His goal is
- 55:51Speaker 2: to attend thirty NBA games in all thirty NBA arenas
- 55:56Speaker 2: in thirty days. Oh that's a lot.
- 55:59Speaker 5: That is a lot.
- 56:00Speaker 2: It's wild. I wonder how he does that, because, I mean,
- 56:03Speaker 2: you know, there are gonna be sometimes where you could
- 56:06Speaker 2: do two in one day. Right, maybe if you get
- 56:08Speaker 2: a matinee game on the weekends and you take in
- 56:10Speaker 2: a game in Miami and then drive down to Orlando
- 56:13Speaker 2: to taking a Magic game, you could do both franchises
- 56:16Speaker 2: in one day just in Florida. But eventually you're gonna
- 56:18Speaker 2: have to fly, right.
- 56:19Speaker 3: I would imagine so, and that's gonna cut into that thirty.
- 56:22Speaker 2: Day because if you go up the coast, right, if
- 56:24Speaker 2: you're just go up to coast and drive this thing,
- 56:26Speaker 2: I mean, you could actually do pretty well because you
- 56:28Speaker 2: go from you go from Miami to Orlando, from Orlando
- 56:31Speaker 2: into Atlanta for the Hawks game, up to a Charlotte game, right,
- 56:36Speaker 2: and then you get up into the Northeast area where
- 56:38Speaker 2: you're gonna be going to the all the New York
- 56:40Speaker 2: games and the Boston games and maybe up into Canada.
- 56:44Speaker 2: But eventually you're gonna have a hop on a plane
- 56:46Speaker 2: and fly somewhere. But thirty NBA games and thirty different
- 56:50Speaker 2: NBA arenas in thirty days, that's gonna be tough.
- 56:53Speaker 3: Yeah, there isn't a sport I like enough how much?
- 56:56Speaker 2: And he's trying to raise money for the Make a
- 56:59Speaker 2: Wish Foundation while doing this, so I guess he has uh.
- 57:02Speaker 2: I guess he has sponsor, Yeah, sponsors or something. He's
- 57:05Speaker 2: a content creator and he's using this experience for good.
- 57:08Speaker 2: He's raising a hunt. He wants to raise one hundred
- 57:10Speaker 2: thousand dollars for Make a Wish.
- 57:11Speaker 3: That's cool.
- 57:13Speaker 2: I think so too. Beginning his question in late February,
- 57:16Speaker 2: he set to achieve his record breaking basketball road trip
- 57:18Speaker 2: on March twenty fifth, So that's next week. I guess
- 57:21Speaker 2: he will uh next Wednesday, Yeah, next Wednesday, he'll end
- 57:24Speaker 2: it up. I wonder which where that is. He's in town,
- 57:25Speaker 2: so obviously he's in town for a magic game. I
- 57:28Speaker 2: don't know what what franchises he has left. Maybe he
- 57:30Speaker 2: ended with Florida.
- 57:32Speaker 4: Yeah, I guess he could have ended No he gets
- 57:35Speaker 4: down to Miami. Then he gets down to Miami, and
- 57:37Speaker 4: then you're stuck. Right, there's no other price to go.
- 57:39Speaker 2: But you could do two in Texas. You could do
- 57:41Speaker 2: three in California in one day, right, I mean.
- 57:45Speaker 3: I guess depends on their schedule.
- 57:47Speaker 2: Lakers Clippers are in the same city, sure, yeah, and
- 57:49Speaker 2: the Golden State just right up the right up the
- 57:51Speaker 2: way there, so I mean you could knock out. So
- 57:53Speaker 2: I think there's sometimes he could do two in one day.
- 57:57Speaker 2: No interest in any of that, Jack, would you if
- 57:59Speaker 2: you had to? What's your favorite baseball stadium? Is it
- 58:01Speaker 2: Yankee Stadium?
- 58:02Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 58:02Speaker 2: By far? Obviously? What other stadiums have you been to that.
- 58:05Speaker 4: You like, though, I've been to both stadiums, Jim. I've
- 58:09Speaker 4: been to the new Yankee Stadium and the old one.
- 58:12Speaker 2: Okay, wow, man, I'm gonna tell you. We went to
- 58:15Speaker 2: see a Rockies game up there. That was a lot
- 58:16Speaker 2: of fun Rockies the Rockies. Is it Corrors Field A blast? Yeah,
- 58:21Speaker 2: I mean so awesome.
- 58:22Speaker 4: I've been to let's see Chase Stadium, Yeah, where I
- 58:25Speaker 4: saw the Yankees play.
- 58:25Speaker 2: All right.
- 58:27Speaker 4: Actually, that's that's the Mets former stadium before they became
- 58:30Speaker 4: city Park, the trop over.
- 58:32Speaker 2: There, and then you've been to Miami.
- 58:34Speaker 4: Been to Miami, saw the Marlins play there, saw a
- 58:36Speaker 4: World Series game there. And in California, I went to
- 58:39Speaker 4: Dodgers Stadium and saw Anaheim play.
- 58:41Speaker 2: Damn. Really have you been to Atlanta? Have you been
- 58:44Speaker 2: to the is it Mercedes Field up there or whatever?
- 58:47Speaker 17: No?
- 58:47Speaker 4: Well, the baseball field, I forget the name of it.
- 58:50Speaker 4: I have been to Mercedes Stadium. What did I see there?
- 58:54Speaker 2: I saw Orlando City play there?
- 58:56Speaker 4: And also the Peach Bowl when UCF won the National Championship.
- 58:59Speaker 15: Ye?
- 59:00Speaker 2: What Atlanta and lent and Fold it was Fulton County Stadium, right, Yeah? Yeah,
- 59:03Speaker 2: so I've been there once. I've been to Colorado. I've
- 59:07Speaker 2: been to Tampa to see a ball game there, and
- 59:10Speaker 2: those are the only pro fields and the Taker Field
- 59:12Speaker 2: here in Orlando. That's a double a gaming.
- 59:13Speaker 4: I mean, i'd like to that. That's kind of a
- 59:16Speaker 4: lot of redream. Go to a baseball game in all
- 59:18Speaker 4: the stadium, Yeah, that'd be kind of cool. I want
- 59:19Speaker 4: to go to Fenway.
- 59:20Speaker 2: I want to go. So if I was going to
- 59:23Speaker 2: do it, that's what I would do. I would go
- 59:24Speaker 2: to the those historic fields, like obviously Finley are Finnway
- 59:30Speaker 2: and then obviously the Green Monster. That's a Finway Park
- 59:34Speaker 2: at Yankee Stadium. You got to go there. Yeah, God,
- 59:37Speaker 2: what would be the other Dodger Stadium? You'd have to
- 59:39Speaker 2: go there. Dodger Stadium is a classic. Yeah, so Wrigley Field,
- 59:43Speaker 2: Yeah yeah. Oh then what used to be Candlestick? But
- 59:45Speaker 2: it's not there anymore? Right, it's not the avenue. Yeah,
- 59:48Speaker 2: you can hit it into the bay? Wait or they
- 59:51Speaker 2: have that. It's just a different name.
- 59:53Speaker 17: Is it.
- 59:53Speaker 2: It's I think it's it's on the same spot, is it.
- 59:56Speaker 2: It used to be right there by the bay, But
- 59:57Speaker 2: I don't think it's there anymore, is it. I don't
- 59:59Speaker 2: think I thought they move Candlesick. Don't watch a lot
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: of West Coast. Oh there you are right four O
- 1:00:03Speaker 2: seven it's time? Uh one O four one Again. You
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: can always text us at seven seven zero three one.
- 1:00:12Speaker 2: Did you see any of the Bachelorette stuff?
- 1:00:15Speaker 5: Jack?
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: Did you see any of the video from that?
- 1:00:17Speaker 5: Jake?
- 1:00:17Speaker 2: I have no video. All I know is what I
- 1:00:19Speaker 2: heard on You heard it here first yesterday, So I
- 1:00:22Speaker 2: heard it here first. All right, Well back in a
- 1:00:24Speaker 2: bit with a bit of this information. It's very uh wow, silent.
- 1:00:28Speaker 2: Oh all right.
- 1:00:40Speaker 8: After Bonnie cole Bert carew okay baseball talk. Hell yeah, Jack,
- 1:00:44Speaker 8: you definitely got to go check out Fenway. I mean,
- 1:00:47Speaker 8: there's just so much history nostalgia in that stadium. I mean,
- 1:00:50Speaker 8: I really regret not going to see the original of
- 1:00:52Speaker 8: the Yankee Stadium before they tore that thing down. But also, yeb,
- 1:00:57Speaker 8: I just wanted to let you know I rolled a
- 1:00:58Speaker 8: joint earlier today.
- 1:01:00Speaker 2: I bet you're jealous.
- 1:01:02Speaker 8: Well you shouldn't be, because it was my ankle pick.
- 1:01:05Speaker 2: The out.
- 1:01:08Speaker 15: Goldber Crew, So Jimmy. When I was younger, I went
- 1:01:10Speaker 15: to a Red Sox game in Fenway Park, and it
- 1:01:12Speaker 15: is an amazing ballpark because they literally haven't changed anything
- 1:01:16Speaker 15: into it about one hundred years, so it has that
- 1:01:18Speaker 15: old charm to it. But one thing I noticed after
- 1:01:22Speaker 15: I left, if you're not a Red Sox fan, you
- 1:01:25Speaker 15: will continue not to be a Red Sox fan.
- 1:01:27Speaker 5: And if you're a Red Sox fan.
- 1:01:29Speaker 3: After you go, you will not be a Red Sox
- 1:01:31Speaker 3: fan because Red.
- 1:01:32Speaker 15: Sox fans are annoying as hell.
- 1:01:35Speaker 2: Damn dude, I don't know. Talk back of the year.
- 1:01:41Speaker 2: That's how you do it. Next Swimmer, Welcome back to
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: the Jim Bulberg Show, Real Radio one oh four point
- 1:01:46Speaker 2: one right here on in Maitlandlord, I'm Jim. There's deb hello.
- 1:01:51Speaker 2: Jack's ear as well. So Jack will of the video
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: of this Taylor Frankie Paul scenario. This is a this
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: is a real mess. I'm telling you. Man. You know
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: I read on you when you said this story yesterday.
- 1:02:08Speaker 2: I remember I was like, where do I know that
- 1:02:10Speaker 2: name from? And my wife and I were talking about
- 1:02:12Speaker 2: it last night. I said, hey, did you see that
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: video of that chick losing her mind on an old man?
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: And man, she put her phone down and her eyes
- 1:02:20Speaker 2: got big. She goes, can you believe? And then she said,
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: to be something crazy? And by the way, Jack is
- 1:02:24Speaker 2: going to play the video here. If you go to
- 1:02:25Speaker 2: a real Radio FM slash watch, you can actually see
- 1:02:28Speaker 2: it on her YouTube feed. And she's not a big woman. Now.
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: We watched this couple times last night, and I remember, right,
- 1:02:36Speaker 2: my wife said, you know, those barstools that this chick
- 1:02:39Speaker 2: is throwing at this guy aren't like aren't light barstools.
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: They look exactly like the ones that we used to
- 1:02:45Speaker 2: have in one of our houses in a little bar area.
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: We had these two stools basically right, And they were
- 1:02:51Speaker 2: solid wood and I'm telling you they were not light
- 1:02:54Speaker 2: and if they were to hit you, it would be
- 1:02:56Speaker 2: bad news. Right, And this chick is throwing these things
- 1:02:59Speaker 2: across the room like they're nothing, and Michael lost her
- 1:03:02Speaker 2: damn mind.
- 1:03:02Speaker 6: And one ends up deflecting off of her partner Dakota,
- 1:03:05Speaker 6: and ends up hitting her six year old daughter, who's
- 1:03:08Speaker 6: in the room.
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: Right, not to mention she's doing this in front of
- 1:03:10Speaker 2: her six year old kid.
- 1:03:11Speaker 6: Yes, And the trouble continues because apparently they've gotten into
- 1:03:15Speaker 6: another physical art altercation lately, with Taylor telling the police
- 1:03:20Speaker 6: that Dakota started it. Dakota's saying, no, she started it.
- 1:03:24Speaker 6: She tried to choke me, she broke a chain off
- 1:03:26Speaker 6: my neck. They fought in front of their three year
- 1:03:28Speaker 6: old son.
- 1:03:29Speaker 2: You need to wear a body cam and all the
- 1:03:31Speaker 2: time that basically what he got. This video here is
- 1:03:34Speaker 2: just a hymn with his phone right, fighting her off
- 1:03:36Speaker 2: from one hand and videoing it with the other.
- 1:03:38Speaker 3: Look and she looks crazy, she does.
- 1:03:41Speaker 2: She's got crazy eyes. She does have crazy eyes.
- 1:03:43Speaker 4: And this looks like me during animal house holding a
- 1:03:47Speaker 4: camera trying to get riding's headphones out of the dog's mom.
- 1:03:53Speaker 3: Actually, I think the dog thing was a little bit
- 1:03:55Speaker 3: more violent.
- 1:03:56Speaker 2: Yeah, and she begins she is on him in the face.
- 1:04:00Speaker 3: I'm a headlock right now.
- 1:04:01Speaker 6: And so with this new altercation, now, look at how
- 1:04:04Speaker 6: they're showing in her house too. This is from twenty
- 1:04:07Speaker 6: twenty three. So she was arrested that night, she's been
- 1:04:11Speaker 6: on probation.
- 1:04:12Speaker 3: She's under god dog dude.
- 1:04:14Speaker 6: Yeah, and her daughter's right there. She ends up getting
- 1:04:16Speaker 6: hit and she throws no, those are.
- 1:04:18Speaker 2: The metal press ones. Okay, that's not the ones I
- 1:04:20Speaker 2: was thinking about.
- 1:04:20Speaker 6: But still she could be looking at some serious jail
- 1:04:23Speaker 6: time because she is on probation for the twenty twenty
- 1:04:25Speaker 6: three attack that Jack is showing right now. If these
- 1:04:28Speaker 6: new allegations are proven, then that means she has violated
- 1:04:31Speaker 6: her parole and she'll be going behind bars.
- 1:04:34Speaker 2: So, and the one of the things that's interesting is ABC.
- 1:04:36Speaker 2: You know, this Bachelorette show is a major money maker
- 1:04:39Speaker 2: for them. You know a lot of these network television
- 1:04:41Speaker 2: shows that have lost so much juice to streaming channels
- 1:04:44Speaker 2: and things like that are doing everything they can and
- 1:04:46Speaker 2: one of the bright spots for network TV. You have
- 1:04:48Speaker 2: been these these reality shows, whether be The Survivor or
- 1:04:51Speaker 2: Bachelorette or any of the ones we talk about. Right, Yeah,
- 1:04:54Speaker 2: ABC has to pay all the production costs of all
- 1:04:57Speaker 2: of that, and they've already done that. They are now
- 1:04:59Speaker 2: not going to release this entire season.
- 1:05:02Speaker 3: That was ready to premiere Sunday ninth.
- 1:05:05Speaker 2: Of this TV show. And now not only are they
- 1:05:07Speaker 2: out the production value of that, they're not going to
- 1:05:09Speaker 2: make a nickel on the advertising for it, which could
- 1:05:12Speaker 2: be tens of millions of dollars change. And it's going
- 1:05:16Speaker 2: to be her fault. But the thing is, it really
- 1:05:18Speaker 2: isn't and the reason why is exactly what deb said.
- 1:05:21Speaker 2: That is from twenty twenty three, they knew this chick
- 1:05:24Speaker 2: was a maniac. And I would contende, how do you
- 1:05:27Speaker 2: know they knew she was this public?
- 1:05:29Speaker 6: Yes, ABC has acknowledged that they were aware of what
- 1:05:34Speaker 6: had occurred.
- 1:05:34Speaker 3: In twenty twenty three.
- 1:05:36Speaker 6: To them, they said, reading about these kinds of altercations
- 1:05:40Speaker 6: is one thing. It changes when you see what actually happened.
- 1:05:44Speaker 6: So everything for them changed when teams in the video.
- 1:05:47Speaker 6: When CMZ dropped this video yesterday, it changed everything for ABC.
- 1:05:51Speaker 4: So many people like ray Rice in the elevators one, yes,
- 1:05:55Speaker 4: so many times. I mean did he video changes every Yeah?
- 1:06:00Speaker 2: Absolutely, So that's what happened. So so my theory is this,
- 1:06:04Speaker 2: right with TV, you know, having such a difficult time
- 1:06:07Speaker 2: staying competitive with streaming channels and just being online in general.
- 1:06:11Speaker 2: You know, if you're a if you're an executive, right,
- 1:06:15Speaker 2: and your show is built on drama and you have
- 1:06:19Speaker 2: a built in drama bomb, right, you put her on TV.
- 1:06:23Speaker 2: I mean, that's that, That's what you have to do.
- 1:06:25Speaker 2: You have to try to put her on TV. Now,
- 1:06:26Speaker 2: you obviously hope none of this happens, but as an
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: executive now, I mean I bet the money. I bet money.
- 1:06:32Speaker 2: They just basically said, hey, look, you know, we've run
- 1:06:34Speaker 2: the numbers and we're willing to roll the dice on
- 1:06:36Speaker 2: doing this. And even if we've heard that she's got
- 1:06:39Speaker 2: this problem, because I bet what they were hoping for
- 1:06:41Speaker 2: is that she would have this kind of mountdown while
- 1:06:43Speaker 2: the show was being filmed.
- 1:06:44Speaker 3: I don't know if they wanted her to have.
- 1:06:46Speaker 6: I do know she seemed really aggressive, but like we
- 1:06:48Speaker 6: all know, all you know, bad press, any press is
- 1:06:51Speaker 6: good press. But now it's coming out of the woodwork
- 1:06:53Speaker 6: that the cast of the Real Housewives of Mormon Wives.
- 1:06:57Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, the worldlives are the Real Lives of Mormon Wives.
- 1:07:00Speaker 6: Had warned ABC about her and were like, you might
- 1:07:04Speaker 6: want to reconsider using this person.
- 1:07:06Speaker 2: So they had two warnings that this could happen.
- 1:07:09Speaker 4: Is it there a history of mental illness? Is it
- 1:07:11Speaker 4: like a psychotic break or is this just she is
- 1:07:14Speaker 4: one violent?
- 1:07:15Speaker 6: She's yeah, I mean again to hear one thing, yeah, exactly,
- 1:07:22Speaker 6: That's what Dakota had told the police when they arrested
- 1:07:24Speaker 6: her in twenty twenty three.
- 1:07:25Speaker 3: He said that she was hammered.
- 1:07:27Speaker 6: What's interesting, though, is is that it doesn't I mean,
- 1:07:31Speaker 6: this is a woman who's being trotted around on a
- 1:07:33Speaker 6: television show looking for love. Basically looks like you're serving
- 1:07:36Speaker 6: up these bachelors as victims.
- 1:07:38Speaker 3: For someone who only knows how to run away.
- 1:07:41Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 1:07:42Speaker 6: Why would you use her as someone looking for love
- 1:07:46Speaker 6: and then subject these twenty four guys who have no
- 1:07:49Speaker 6: idea of her history. It just it's a bad look
- 1:07:53Speaker 6: all the way around for ABC.
- 1:07:54Speaker 2: I mean, this info was out there. It was ABC.
- 1:07:58Speaker 2: They decided say that Bob Iger is gone for one day,
- 1:08:02Speaker 2: what happens, He'll be back before you know it.
- 1:08:06Speaker 3: He'll be back.
- 1:08:07Speaker 2: I guess she said that she broke her silence after
- 1:08:10Speaker 2: a bachelorette was canceled at ABC. She said, quote after
- 1:08:13Speaker 2: years of silently suffering extensive mental and physical abuse, as
- 1:08:17Speaker 2: well as threats of retaliation, Taylor is finally gaining the
- 1:08:21Speaker 2: strength to face her accuser and take steps to ensure
- 1:08:24Speaker 2: that she and her children are protected from any further arm.
- 1:08:28Speaker 2: Too many women still there. There are too many women
- 1:08:30Speaker 2: who are suffering in silence as they survive aggressive, jealous
- 1:08:34Speaker 2: ex partners who refuse to let them move on with
- 1:08:37Speaker 2: their lives. So she's basically throwing it all in his
- 1:08:40Speaker 2: lap and saying that he caused her reaction that we
- 1:08:43Speaker 2: see on video.
- 1:08:44Speaker 4: Yeah, that video tells a different story, and that to
- 1:08:46Speaker 4: me sounds like he's out of control, out of control
- 1:08:50Speaker 4: on that borderline personality disorder with narcissism is what that
- 1:08:54Speaker 4: sounds like.
- 1:08:54Speaker 6: Is Apparently every statement she has put out since that
- 1:08:57Speaker 6: has taken no accountability, no responsibility for her actions.
- 1:09:00Speaker 3: It's all because Dakota made me do it.
- 1:09:02Speaker 2: Is she trying to claim that? In the video that
- 1:09:04Speaker 2: we're watching right now again Real RADIOFM slash watch. In
- 1:09:07Speaker 2: that video, she's that is a retaliation to abuse that
- 1:09:11Speaker 2: she has experienced off camera that we don't know about.
- 1:09:13Speaker 2: Is that what she's saying. It seems like that would
- 1:09:15Speaker 2: be the case.
- 1:09:16Speaker 4: She has every opportunity to get away from him, but
- 1:09:19Speaker 4: she just keeps charging him. He is all he is
- 1:09:22Speaker 4: doing is holding up his phone to document this.
- 1:09:24Speaker 2: Right, And she claims that he wouldn't let her leave.
- 1:09:28Speaker 2: That's what this is all about.
- 1:09:29Speaker 6: I don't know about that, but when you watch the video,
- 1:09:31Speaker 6: you can clearly see who won't let who leave? Yeah,
- 1:09:34Speaker 6: and it has he's not the instigator in this. In fact,
- 1:09:37Speaker 6: in the video, he has to remind her that her
- 1:09:40Speaker 6: daughter is in the room sitting on.
- 1:09:41Speaker 2: The couch, yeah, a couple times if I remember right, And.
- 1:09:44Speaker 6: Then one of the chairs or the stools she throws
- 1:09:46Speaker 6: ends up deflecting off Dakota and actually hits and injures
- 1:09:49Speaker 6: her six.
- 1:09:49Speaker 2: Year old daughter. You can hear the kids start crying.
- 1:09:52Speaker 6: And calling mommy in the background, and she doesn't stop.
- 1:09:55Speaker 6: She does not stop going ballistic despite hearing her child crying.
- 1:09:59Speaker 2: And she's not incarceration right now, She's she's not right
- 1:10:02Speaker 2: now because she is on the ovation. He has to
- 1:10:04Speaker 2: file charges, No because keep in mind now that we
- 1:10:07Speaker 2: have evidence had happened. Well, we have this evidence that happened,
- 1:10:11Speaker 2: but word also happened this week that they got into
- 1:10:13Speaker 2: another physical altercation. She again blaming Dakota heat and saying, no,
- 1:10:17Speaker 2: she tried to choke me, she broke broke a chain
- 1:10:19Speaker 2: off my neck.
- 1:10:20Speaker 3: Police are investigating.
- 1:10:21Speaker 6: If they find that they did indeed have another fight,
- 1:10:25Speaker 6: she could be looking at serious time behind bars, because
- 1:10:27Speaker 6: that means she's violated her parole.
- 1:10:29Speaker 2: How could you be alone with this woman? Why would
- 1:10:32Speaker 2: you want to? You'd have to.
- 1:10:34Speaker 4: I'd want to, like video cameras everywhere. I'd lock her
- 1:10:37Speaker 4: ass in the utility room.
- 1:10:38Speaker 2: Yeah, i would literally lock her ass in some bathroom
- 1:10:41Speaker 2: or something and just hold it tight and call the cops.
- 1:10:42Speaker 2: I'm not joking one bit. That's exactly what i'd do.
- 1:10:44Speaker 2: You calm down in there, Yeah, out of here with
- 1:10:47Speaker 2: that kind of behavior she's looking to do. Didn't knock
- 1:10:49Speaker 2: her ass out, I know.
- 1:10:50Speaker 6: And that's what I hate about women who'll throw up
- 1:10:52Speaker 6: their fists to a man because if he was raised right,
- 1:10:54Speaker 6: he would never hit her back.
- 1:10:55Speaker 3: Yeah, so don't hit him first.
- 1:10:57Speaker 2: Well, is when you know you when you know and
- 1:11:01Speaker 2: you know that that person was raised correctly and won't
- 1:11:03Speaker 2: raise their hand to you, and you continue to come
- 1:11:05Speaker 2: at him. That makes you extra Oh yeah, all right,
- 1:11:09Speaker 2: pro seven nine four one text seven seven zero three one.
- 1:11:13Speaker 2: We're gonn take a little break and come back and
- 1:11:14Speaker 2: talk to George speak. He is the executive vice president
- 1:11:17Speaker 2: and Deputy CEO of Orlando Sandford International Airport. I figured
- 1:11:20Speaker 2: out reach out this morning to find out about like TSA,
- 1:11:23Speaker 2: things like what we don't know about the TSA situation,
- 1:11:25Speaker 2: and then to find out something pretty amazing about Orlando
- 1:11:28Speaker 2: Sanford Airport. So we'll talk to George next here on
- 1:11:30Speaker 2: the Jim Colbert Show. All right, welcome back to the
- 1:11:36Speaker 2: Jim Colbert Show, Real Radio one four point one. Thanks
- 1:11:39Speaker 2: so much for tuning in, the guys appreciate that very much.
- 1:11:41Speaker 2: I'm a nice safe drive on your way home. Turn
- 1:11:43Speaker 2: us up. We got you all the way to your driveway.
- 1:11:46Speaker 2: Sure it is. I'm Jim. There's Deb Hello, Jack is
- 1:11:48Speaker 2: here as well. What's up? So looking around today, seeing
- 1:11:51Speaker 2: all the mess that's happening with TSA, I was like, well,
- 1:11:53Speaker 2: who can we speak to that could give us an
- 1:11:56Speaker 2: insight into how these kind of things happen, and how
- 1:11:58Speaker 2: you manage that. I reached out to a friend of mine.
- 1:12:01Speaker 2: She got me in touch with this gentleman right here.
- 1:12:02Speaker 2: You guys, give it up good loud for George speak.
- 1:12:04Speaker 17: What's up?
- 1:12:05Speaker 2: Gay is the executive VP and Deputy CEO of Orlando
- 1:12:10Speaker 2: Sanford International Airport. George. How you doing, buddy?
- 1:12:13Speaker 5: Not too bad?
- 1:12:14Speaker 2: Thanks for having me on. Yeah, thanks for joining us, buddy.
- 1:12:16Speaker 2: I appreciate that so much. I kind of like kind
- 1:12:20Speaker 2: of a Shanghaidu with this interview called this morning out
- 1:12:23Speaker 2: of nowhere, and luckily enough you could have some time
- 1:12:25Speaker 2: to hop in and do some time with us. First
- 1:12:27Speaker 2: things first, I found out today that you guys are
- 1:12:30Speaker 2: very unique over there in Sanford, Orlando Sandford International one
- 1:12:33Speaker 2: of seventeen airports nationwide that do not use government issued TSA.
- 1:12:37Speaker 2: You guys have a privatized TSA there, that's correct.
- 1:12:41Speaker 16: There's two other airports in Florida that do the same,
- 1:12:43Speaker 16: Sarasota and Puna Gorda.
- 1:12:45Speaker 5: But we were the first in Florida, and so all of.
- 1:12:48Speaker 16: Our employees that do screening here, not our employees, but
- 1:12:51Speaker 16: the personnel that do screening here employed by a private
- 1:12:54Speaker 16: contractor who has a contract with TSA. They're trained the same,
- 1:12:57Speaker 16: they do the same job. There is no less toecurity
- 1:13:00Speaker 16: here than anywhere else. But they are not affected by
- 1:13:03Speaker 16: the shutdown because their funding comes to a different source.
- 1:13:05Speaker 2: Well, that's crazy. And do you guys have do you
- 1:13:08Speaker 2: have contact personally with other airport leaders and stuff, and
- 1:13:11Speaker 2: are you getting kind of reports of what they're dealing
- 1:13:13Speaker 2: with with TSA and how serious is this? George?
- 1:13:16Speaker 16: By the way, so I was just up in DC
- 1:13:19Speaker 16: doing some lobbying with other airports from the state of
- 1:13:22Speaker 16: Florida and also for Sanford here, and so yes, I
- 1:13:25Speaker 16: was talking to other airports. Other airports are being affected.
- 1:13:29Speaker 16: I believe that this will probably not get resolved next week,
- 1:13:33Speaker 16: That's my personal opinion. And then Congress is out of
- 1:13:35Speaker 16: session for two weeks after that. So my guess is
- 1:13:38Speaker 16: it it could be three, probably four weeks before resolution
- 1:13:42Speaker 16: is realistic.
- 1:13:44Speaker 4: George, Why does Sandford and the other sixteen seventeen airports
- 1:13:48Speaker 4: use privately?
- 1:13:50Speaker 2: What was the reasoning for going that route?
- 1:13:53Speaker 16: Sure, so we call ourselves simpler, faster, better. Every airport
- 1:13:57Speaker 16: has a three letter identifier, ours as SFB, so we
- 1:14:00Speaker 16: call ourselves simpler, faster, better. One of the things that
- 1:14:03Speaker 16: we were after was some input into the customer service
- 1:14:07Speaker 16: aspect of screening and the how long you have to
- 1:14:12Speaker 16: stand in line, you know, interaction with the management, things
- 1:14:15Speaker 16: like that. So I'm able to talk to the CEO
- 1:14:18Speaker 16: of that company that those folks are employed by.
- 1:14:21Speaker 5: The COO.
- 1:14:22Speaker 16: We have three management personnel with TSA that are here
- 1:14:26Speaker 16: on a regular basis every day, and we can talk
- 1:14:29Speaker 16: with them as well. But if things aren't going the
- 1:14:31Speaker 16: way we feel like they should have lines or something
- 1:14:34Speaker 16: like that, not talking about screening itself, then we're able
- 1:14:37Speaker 16: to have a conversation if we want to improve the process,
- 1:14:41Speaker 16: how does the queue work, you know, how are people
- 1:14:46Speaker 16: being dealt with before they even get upstairs. We're able
- 1:14:48Speaker 16: to have all those conversations with those folks. I meet
- 1:14:51Speaker 16: every Monday with the screening folks with our airlines and
- 1:14:55Speaker 16: with the TSA management personnel, and we talked about problems
- 1:14:58Speaker 16: before their problems.
- 1:15:00Speaker 5: And we weren't able to do that when it.
- 1:15:01Speaker 2: Was just TSA right right talking to George speak, the
- 1:15:03Speaker 2: executive VP and Deputy CEO of Orlando Sanford International Airport,
- 1:15:07Speaker 2: about this situation with TSA. So you know, Easter is
- 1:15:09Speaker 2: coming up around the corner. My in laws are actually
- 1:15:11Speaker 2: flying into your airport this afternoon and flying out of
- 1:15:14Speaker 2: your airport coming up on Monday. They're not gonna have
- 1:15:16Speaker 2: any problems because I know that you guys have like
- 1:15:18Speaker 2: fifteen minute wait issues. So when it comes to the
- 1:15:20Speaker 2: TSA thing, the managing TSA people that you have on property,
- 1:15:24Speaker 2: are they still bound to the government, Are they still
- 1:15:25Speaker 2: looking for their paychecks as well as they are?
- 1:15:27Speaker 5: They're not getting paid and you know, we we feel
- 1:15:30Speaker 5: for them.
- 1:15:31Speaker 16: They're here every week, every day, right job, just like
- 1:15:34Speaker 16: all the screeners around the country right now.
- 1:15:35Speaker 2: Yeah, that's brutal, man. And you said you don't think
- 1:15:38Speaker 2: I mean, when when you were in d C and
- 1:15:39Speaker 2: you were kind of listening to what's happening in Congress,
- 1:15:41Speaker 2: I mean, can you give us any insight of what's
- 1:15:45Speaker 2: going on there?
- 1:15:46Speaker 5: I saw that I don't have any insight.
- 1:15:47Speaker 16: I mean, really, it's going to take you know, the
- 1:15:50Speaker 16: two sides coming together and deciding that enough is enough. Right,
- 1:15:54Speaker 16: And it did not seem to me that that's what
- 1:15:57Speaker 16: the people that I talked with, that that's any closer
- 1:15:59Speaker 16: than it was yesterday.
- 1:16:00Speaker 2: Well, the TSA people at the other airports that unfortunately
- 1:16:03Speaker 2: are not being paid. And we know that there are
- 1:16:04Speaker 2: a number of food banks second harvest here locally, you know,
- 1:16:07Speaker 2: and then some other incentives as well to make sure
- 1:16:10Speaker 2: that these people can get as much as they can
- 1:16:11Speaker 2: get you gas cards to get back and forth to
- 1:16:13Speaker 2: work while they're dealing with this food for their families
- 1:16:15Speaker 2: and necessities of that nature. When this does happen and
- 1:16:20Speaker 2: you know, things get back into play those agents, do
- 1:16:23Speaker 2: they get like an overtime or like a bonus, or
- 1:16:26Speaker 2: or do they get any type of incentive for back
- 1:16:28Speaker 2: pay kind of thing, or they.
- 1:16:29Speaker 5: Get Yeah, they eventually get caught up.
- 1:16:32Speaker 16: But you know, the power company wants their bill paid
- 1:16:35Speaker 16: when it's due, not when they get paid, right, So
- 1:16:38Speaker 16: that's what they're facing.
- 1:16:40Speaker 5: And you know, it's an opportunity for me to say this.
- 1:16:43Speaker 16: Those folks are going to work and doing their job
- 1:16:44Speaker 16: every day, and it's so that people like us and
- 1:16:47Speaker 16: others can travel, see family, do what they want to do.
- 1:16:51Speaker 16: It's it can be a frustrating job for the screeners
- 1:16:53Speaker 16: in the first place, and I know it's frustrating sometimes
- 1:16:56Speaker 16: for passengers when they're traveling. Take a take an extra
- 1:16:59Speaker 16: moment to think about what you might say to them,
- 1:17:02Speaker 16: maybe thank them for what they're doing, versus letting your
- 1:17:04Speaker 16: frustration out.
- 1:17:05Speaker 2: Here kick them at twenty bucks by tip them. I mean,
- 1:17:11Speaker 2: do what are you gonna do? You could? Yeah, that
- 1:17:14Speaker 2: might have a bad luck to it. George, how long
- 1:17:18Speaker 2: we've been running Orlando Sanford International.
- 1:17:19Speaker 16: Buddy, So I've been I've had twenty one years at
- 1:17:23Speaker 16: this airport. I had a small break in my time here,
- 1:17:25Speaker 16: but total of twenty one years.
- 1:17:27Speaker 2: Yeah, and the changes that you've seen when you were
- 1:17:30Speaker 2: initially investigating this privatized TSA thing, was there any nerves
- 1:17:34Speaker 2: there at all? Because obviously, I mean, you don't have
- 1:17:36Speaker 2: to go very far to see what could happen there
- 1:17:38Speaker 2: and obviously create a situation that would be difficult to
- 1:17:41Speaker 2: explain away. But I mean when you looked at how
- 1:17:43Speaker 2: much how much kind of input did you get before
- 1:17:45Speaker 2: you guys made that decision. Sure, So we.
- 1:17:47Speaker 16: Actually had the chairman of our board at the time
- 1:17:49Speaker 16: went to Rochester, New York to look at their operation
- 1:17:52Speaker 16: that they already had in place. I flew out to
- 1:17:54Speaker 16: Jackson Hole, Wyoming to visit their operation. There were five
- 1:17:58Speaker 16: pilots program that started back in two thousand and two
- 1:18:02Speaker 16: with us, So there was a lot of information already
- 1:18:04Speaker 16: in place, and no, we really weren't concerned that we
- 1:18:08Speaker 16: would have any lack of.
- 1:18:12Speaker 5: A good experience here for our passengers.
- 1:18:14Speaker 16: In fact, one of the stories that came out after
- 1:18:16Speaker 16: we first privatized, about a week after, we had a
- 1:18:20Speaker 16: gentleman that we did not flew through here regularly, did
- 1:18:22Speaker 16: not know flew through here regularly, and stopped one of
- 1:18:25Speaker 16: our police officers and said, you know what's wrong with
- 1:18:27Speaker 16: your screeners today.
- 1:18:28Speaker 5: So this is about a week after we had privatized.
- 1:18:30Speaker 16: An officer said, well, what do you mean, He goes, well,
- 1:18:32Speaker 16: they're smiling and they seem happier than what they were.
- 1:18:35Speaker 16: It's a different work experience for the screeners as well,
- 1:18:38Speaker 16: because they're working for a private entity now. One of
- 1:18:41Speaker 16: the things to keep in mind too, is they get
- 1:18:44Speaker 16: their benefits package. What they get paid, their healthcare, their
- 1:18:47Speaker 16: four oh one K and all that has to be
- 1:18:49Speaker 16: equal to what a federal screener gets. It might mean
- 1:18:52Speaker 16: the pays a little less and the benefits are more
- 1:18:54Speaker 16: or vice versa, but they're treated the same as far
- 1:18:57Speaker 16: as benefits and pay well.
- 1:18:58Speaker 2: Talking to George speaking is the execut the VP and
- 1:19:00Speaker 2: Deputy CEO of Orlando Sandford International Airport. Speaking of that, Actually,
- 1:19:04Speaker 2: somebody just texted in and said, what about the health
- 1:19:06Speaker 2: benefits of the TSA agents that are off right now?
- 1:19:08Speaker 2: Do they still get to continue those?
- 1:19:10Speaker 5: So I'm not an expert all things TSA.
- 1:19:13Speaker 16: That one I do not know the answer to My
- 1:19:15Speaker 16: suspicion would be that, yes, they're still employed.
- 1:19:18Speaker 5: They would have to have that.
- 1:19:19Speaker 2: Kind of I would think. So as well, listen, man,
- 1:19:21Speaker 2: maybe is there any other chatter from like, you know, airports,
- 1:19:23Speaker 2: like you know, major international kind of airports, Like you're
- 1:19:26Speaker 2: a larger scale than what you have out there in
- 1:19:28Speaker 2: Sanford maybe taking on this TSA thing. I mean, is
- 1:19:31Speaker 2: there a reason that hasn't? I mean, you guys seem
- 1:19:33Speaker 2: to be doing it right. I mean we don't have
- 1:19:34Speaker 2: any interruptions at I mean fifteen minute wait out of
- 1:19:37Speaker 2: there in Sanford. In Fort Lauderdale, the lines are literally
- 1:19:41Speaker 2: out the terminal doors.
- 1:19:42Speaker 3: Is it the size of the airport that matters when
- 1:19:44Speaker 3: it comes to privatizing?
- 1:19:45Speaker 2: You know, what would keep that? What would keep like
- 1:19:47Speaker 2: an OIA from doing this?
- 1:19:49Speaker 16: Nothing would San Francisco, you know, another large airport, right
- 1:19:53Speaker 16: they've been privatized since two thousand and two.
- 1:19:56Speaker 5: There are other airports that have looked at it.
- 1:19:59Speaker 16: TSA not always the the DC headquarters of TSA has
- 1:20:04Speaker 16: not always looked at this as something they wanted to
- 1:20:06Speaker 16: see happen across the country. There is another look being
- 1:20:11Speaker 16: taken by TSA personnel at whether or not this is
- 1:20:14Speaker 16: the best way to go.
- 1:20:15Speaker 5: Certainly there's some Congressmen that believe it might be best.
- 1:20:18Speaker 5: It is more efficient.
- 1:20:19Speaker 16: You know, our government, I think does a good job
- 1:20:22Speaker 16: keeping us safe, but they're not always good at business,
- 1:20:26Speaker 16: and so this is something that really it originally was intended.
- 1:20:30Speaker 16: Congress from Micah wrote the original language for TSA the
- 1:20:35Speaker 16: creation of TSA. His original thought was that there would
- 1:20:38Speaker 16: be no federal screeners at airports. Five years of federal
- 1:20:42Speaker 16: screeners and then it was all supposed to privatize.
- 1:20:45Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 1:20:45Speaker 16: Yeah, and that got changed Congress past legislation that did
- 1:20:49Speaker 16: not include everyone privatizing.
- 1:20:51Speaker 5: I think eventually all airports are going to get.
- 1:20:53Speaker 2: There, yeah, I mean, it just seems so brand. I'm like,
- 1:20:55Speaker 2: when I was talking this morning to our mutual friend,
- 1:20:59Speaker 2: I was like, man, I mean, why isn't this happening everywhere?
- 1:21:02Speaker 2: It seems to be very efficient. The minute I mentioned
- 1:21:05Speaker 2: this interview today, she fired back and she said, you know,
- 1:21:07Speaker 2: fifty minute waits no lines in the other it was
- 1:21:09Speaker 2: like boom, all the accolades that Sandford's dealing with now
- 1:21:13Speaker 2: that major airports are not dealing with. They're actually the
- 1:21:15Speaker 2: exact opposite.
- 1:21:16Speaker 4: So, George, with the money in the privatization of TSA
- 1:21:21Speaker 4: and the screening you have there, who who's paying for that?
- 1:21:25Speaker 17: Is that?
- 1:21:26Speaker 19: Like?
- 1:21:26Speaker 2: Is that come from the airport?
- 1:21:28Speaker 4: Because like, if the money's not there to pay a
- 1:21:31Speaker 4: government run TSA, where does the money come to pay
- 1:21:35Speaker 4: the security and the security team in Sanford?
- 1:21:41Speaker 16: So they have a contract, this private company has a
- 1:21:44Speaker 16: contract with TSA. You got a contract, you got to
- 1:21:47Speaker 16: honor the contractor I should get into the lawyers involved. Right,
- 1:21:50Speaker 16: there's not a contract necessarily with an employee, so this
- 1:21:53Speaker 16: lending still.
- 1:21:54Speaker 2: Has to happen. Yeah, yeah, for sure. Okay, Well George, listen, man,
- 1:21:56Speaker 2: I can't even begin to thank you enough. Matter of fact,
- 1:21:58Speaker 2: somebody just texting and said thanks for this interesting conversation
- 1:22:01Speaker 2: because they had no idea that was the case. And again,
- 1:22:03Speaker 2: don't ever forget when you fly out man, Sanford Orlando
- 1:22:07Speaker 2: International Airport goes to a lot of cool stops and
- 1:22:10Speaker 2: it's very very easy to get in and out of
- 1:22:12Speaker 2: their places, like New Orleans. This is where my wife
- 1:22:14Speaker 2: and I have flown out of New Orleans to go
- 1:22:16Speaker 2: back and forth in no time at all. It's so easy.
- 1:22:19Speaker 2: Memphis is another one. That's right. Key West, Georgia. Have
- 1:22:22Speaker 2: you ever done the one day Key West trip?
- 1:22:24Speaker 16: I was just gonna say, you could do a day
- 1:22:25Speaker 16: trip to Key West out of here, and I can
- 1:22:27Speaker 16: tell you a lot of people enjoy that trip.
- 1:22:29Speaker 2: Yeah, very nice. Well again, buddy, big thanks, and we
- 1:22:32Speaker 2: appreciate you spending some time with us. I know you're
- 1:22:34Speaker 2: already off the clock, but again we appreciate it very much.
- 1:22:36Speaker 2: Good in loow for George. Guys, what say Yeah, okay, seeybody,
- 1:22:39Speaker 2: thanks again for your time. All right for seven nine
- 1:22:41Speaker 2: one text seven seven zero three one. Another professional back
- 1:22:44Speaker 2: to back. Ian Clark joins us. He's the director of
- 1:22:47Speaker 2: project management for Beep, the autum autonomous ride company. We'll
- 1:22:51Speaker 2: find out what they got going. We'll do that right
- 1:22:52Speaker 2: after this.
- 1:22:57Speaker 5: Chuck Norris Trivia.
- 1:23:00Speaker 2: According to Ripley's Believe It or Not, Chuck Norris's first
- 1:23:04Speaker 2: name is actually Carlos. Yeah, let that sink in for
- 1:23:09Speaker 2: a minute.
- 1:23:13Speaker 18: When Alexander Graham Bell invented the telephone, he had a
- 1:23:16Speaker 18: missed call from Chuck Norris.
- 1:23:22Speaker 2: They will never get old.
- 1:23:23Speaker 9: Never.
- 1:23:23Speaker 2: I may spend the remainder of the evening drinking bourbon
- 1:23:27Speaker 2: and reading Chuck Norris jokes me. All right, welcome back
- 1:23:32Speaker 2: to the Jim Cover Show, Real Al Radio one four
- 1:23:34Speaker 2: point one. I am Jim. There's debit. Hello, Jack is
- 1:23:36Speaker 2: here as well.
- 1:23:38Speaker 17: Man.
- 1:23:38Speaker 2: I gotta tell you, uh, you know, hell's a popping
- 1:23:40Speaker 2: out there. I don't know if you guys have noticed,
- 1:23:42Speaker 2: but the autonomous car world has seemingly come into full swing.
- 1:23:46Speaker 2: Every every single time I read a story, it's about
- 1:23:49Speaker 2: some type of autonomy when it comes to getting human
- 1:23:52Speaker 2: beings from one spot to another. So when we see
- 1:23:55Speaker 2: things like that, we invite people in that have their
- 1:23:57Speaker 2: finger on the pulse of that. You guys, give it
- 1:23:59Speaker 2: up good loud for Ian? Is the is it director
- 1:24:04Speaker 2: of project management for beep? Is that your job? Product managed?
- 1:24:07Speaker 2: Product manager?
- 1:24:08Speaker 17: There you go.
- 1:24:08Speaker 2: How's it going, buddy? It's gone awesome? Thank you. It
- 1:24:11Speaker 2: is an absolute pleasure to be here. Well, I appreciate
- 1:24:13Speaker 2: that very much. I know that you were talking right
- 1:24:14Speaker 2: before we come on there. You've been a fan of
- 1:24:15Speaker 2: the station for a while, long time. Twenty plus your listener.
- 1:24:18Speaker 2: That's crazy, man. Yeah, thanks for coming in man after today,
- 1:24:22Speaker 2: absolutely without a doubt. I'm like, I don't care. I
- 1:24:27Speaker 2: can't f this up. I need everyone I can get.
- 1:24:28Speaker 3: Oh, I mean Jack did compliment him on his taste.
- 1:24:30Speaker 2: Yeah, Well, so tell me about Beep real quick before
- 1:24:33Speaker 2: we get into anything else.
- 1:24:34Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:24:35Speaker 2: Absolutely so. Beep is It's a it's a really unique question, actually,
- 1:24:39Speaker 2: and it's a question that I get asked a lot
- 1:24:40Speaker 2: because it's it's it's hard to understand. And so I'll
- 1:24:42Speaker 2: start by telling you what we're not. Okay, right, A
- 1:24:45Speaker 2: lot of people think about autonomous vehicles and they automatically
- 1:24:48Speaker 2: associate with the autonomous drive system and the software that
- 1:24:52Speaker 2: actually powers the vehicles to go from point A to
- 1:24:55Speaker 2: point B. BEEP is not that. What we do is
- 1:24:59Speaker 2: bridge the gap in their inherent capabilities to actually operate
- 1:25:03Speaker 2: in like a transit system. And so we provide a
- 1:25:07Speaker 2: couple pieces of software that I'll touch on, and then
- 1:25:09Speaker 2: we also provide services that help our clients go from ideation, design, funding,
- 1:25:16Speaker 2: and grant support to get some federal dollars in for
- 1:25:18Speaker 2: some of these programs, and all the way from concept
- 1:25:21Speaker 2: to getting people in the seats and launching those services,
- 1:25:25Speaker 2: all powered by our software packages. Oh yeah, because it says.
- 1:25:28Speaker 2: The second thing that is on our talking points here,
- 1:25:31Speaker 2: it says, this is not a robotaxi, this is autonomous transit.
- 1:25:35Speaker 2: I think that what you're saying is absolutely right, because
- 1:25:37Speaker 2: when I hear this, I think autonomous taxi kind of thing. Yes,
- 1:25:40Speaker 2: But what you're saying is this is more of a
- 1:25:42Speaker 2: closed set kind of transportation, almost like if it was
- 1:25:46Speaker 2: at the theme parks, and deep would be the transportation
- 1:25:49Speaker 2: you would take around the theme parks kind of thing. Absolutely.
- 1:25:51Speaker 2: So the vehicles are fascinating pieces of technology and they
- 1:25:55Speaker 2: know how to get from point A to point B.
- 1:25:57Speaker 2: But what they don't understand is when you're trying to
- 1:26:00Speaker 2: introduce a fleet of vehicles into an existing transportation network,
- 1:26:04Speaker 2: there's a lot of different challenges that then present themselves.
- 1:26:07Speaker 2: The vehicles don't understand what like operating a route is,
- 1:26:10Speaker 2: let's say it just stops, and then the concept of
- 1:26:14Speaker 2: how to orchestrate kind of to themselves, right, And so
- 1:26:17Speaker 2: what we do is we bridge that gap in a
- 1:26:19Speaker 2: couple of ways and i'll touch, i'll walk through a companies.
- 1:26:22Speaker 2: So we provide a software platform that powers the remote
- 1:26:25Speaker 2: monitoring command centers. So you've got teams of people that
- 1:26:28Speaker 2: are in the background kind of designing the service for
- 1:26:31Speaker 2: these vehicles and then dispatching them and getting them into
- 1:26:34Speaker 2: service every day, and then as they're in service, our
- 1:26:37Speaker 2: software is the one that is orchestrating them to the
- 1:26:40Speaker 2: service that they've configured. Right In addition to that, you know,
- 1:26:43Speaker 2: that gives us the ability to kind of track and
- 1:26:46Speaker 2: monitor transit metrics things like on time performance or how
- 1:26:50Speaker 2: reliable the services, all things the vehicle doesn't come with.
- 1:26:53Speaker 2: In addition to that, then as you're kind of going
- 1:26:55Speaker 2: throughout service, there's there's scenarios that will happen that impact
- 1:26:58Speaker 2: the vehicle's ability to operate. And that can be you know,
- 1:27:02Speaker 2: things like a road closure or just events happening, or
- 1:27:07Speaker 2: even you know, you could have like a fast moving
- 1:27:11Speaker 2: weather system that kind of you know, puts the vehicle
- 1:27:13Speaker 2: in a situation where we don't want necessarily want it
- 1:27:15Speaker 2: to continue. And so we provide those tools and techniques
- 1:27:18Speaker 2: to those remote operators where they then can kind of
- 1:27:21Speaker 2: instruct the vehicles on what they need to do. And
- 1:27:24Speaker 2: then we're also tied into the in cabin of the vehicle.
- 1:27:26Speaker 2: You touched on this when you're talking about way mods.
- 1:27:28Speaker 2: So we have an AI powered passenger safety and wellness
- 1:27:33Speaker 2: monitoring solution. And so what we're doing is we're looking
- 1:27:36Speaker 2: in the cabin of the vehicles for things like on
- 1:27:38Speaker 2: civil passenger behavior. So think about like somebody's brandishing a
- 1:27:41Speaker 2: weapon or in a fight, or medical emergencies like a
- 1:27:44Speaker 2: trip and fall, or somebody choking right being able to
- 1:27:48Speaker 2: the occasional makeout session if they're having sex. You guys interrupt, Come.
- 1:27:52Speaker 4: On, Jackson, you just said makeout session.
- 1:27:55Speaker 2: I kept it, kept it, I kept it. G just
- 1:27:58Speaker 2: on a couple more bases. This is a professional Did
- 1:28:00Speaker 2: you notice this?
- 1:28:01Speaker 9: Is this?
- 1:28:01Speaker 2: Answer the question about jack Answer the question.
- 1:28:03Speaker 3: No, they hit the music and the lights and they
- 1:28:05Speaker 3: let you finish first.
- 1:28:06Speaker 2: Come on, guys, I mean, but you think of like
- 1:28:10Speaker 2: passenger de corps, right, no shoes, no shirt, no service
- 1:28:12Speaker 2: type deal. We we detect those events and then no
- 1:28:18Speaker 2: means after they say the strange shot. Yeah, yeah, by
- 1:28:22Speaker 2: the way, I also detected this events. It just cost
- 1:28:24Speaker 2: me nineteen ninety nine. I walked right into the and
- 1:28:28Speaker 2: that's okay.
- 1:28:28Speaker 3: There's got to be seats sensor.
- 1:28:30Speaker 2: So basically what you're saying is the vehicles will will
- 1:28:33Speaker 2: kind of guarantee the safety of the passage or at
- 1:28:35Speaker 2: least off back there, make sure that that the vehicles
- 1:28:38Speaker 2: are being respected and the pastors are being respected. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:28:40Speaker 2: and and then and then at the end of the
- 1:28:42Speaker 2: day though too, there are situations that these vehicles will
- 1:28:45Speaker 2: get in that exceed their capabilities. I want to say,
- 1:28:49Speaker 2: exceed their capabilities. But each vehicle comes with like a
- 1:28:52Speaker 2: pre defined set of constraints where it knows it's not
- 1:28:55Speaker 2: allowed to do something right, even if it can. So
- 1:28:57Speaker 2: like if you think of just like a single lane
- 1:29:00Speaker 2: where a vehicle's operating and if there's something that's blocking
- 1:29:02Speaker 2: that lane, theoretically that vehicle knows it can go around it,
- 1:29:06Speaker 2: but it knows it's not allowed to because that would
- 1:29:07Speaker 2: become that would you know, get into oncoming traffic, right,
- 1:29:11Speaker 2: and so it will stop. It'll send a notification to
- 1:29:14Speaker 2: our software platform, and the operators will tie into the
- 1:29:17Speaker 2: external cameras on the vehicle. If we've integrated with like
- 1:29:20Speaker 2: the city infrastructure. We'll pull up the cameras on the
- 1:29:22Speaker 2: roadway and we'll see if there's any traffic coming, and
- 1:29:25Speaker 2: we make a human decision to say, hey, go ahead,
- 1:29:28Speaker 2: you can go around that vehicle and it will get
- 1:29:31Speaker 2: back into the lane it needs to.
- 1:29:33Speaker 6: Just do you ever learn off of like the experiences
- 1:29:36Speaker 6: that I mean, like Waimo had a car that drove
- 1:29:38Speaker 6: through the middle of a crime scene, like you were
- 1:29:41Speaker 6: talking about. There's just some real life situations you just
- 1:29:44Speaker 6: can't plan for.
- 1:29:45Speaker 2: But these are set patterns, though, are they not the
- 1:29:48Speaker 2: most part Because let me is beep, what's at the
- 1:29:50Speaker 2: Ultamont mole and that ultamunt area? Is that what that is? Okay?
- 1:29:53Speaker 2: So good, I'm glad that's what it is. I wanted
- 1:29:54Speaker 2: to make sure I remembered it correctly. So what I
- 1:29:56Speaker 2: see there when I drive through that area because the
- 1:29:58Speaker 2: PGA superstores right there over there quite a bit, it
- 1:30:01Speaker 2: seems it seems like there are So when you drop
- 1:30:05Speaker 2: a vehicle on the property, right, your software tells the
- 1:30:08Speaker 2: vehicle to go to certain stops and complete that circuit. Right,
- 1:30:11Speaker 2: so it'll stop in front of seers. Then the next
- 1:30:13Speaker 2: stop is front of the theater. Then the next stop
- 1:30:16Speaker 2: is in front of Macy's. Then the next stop is
- 1:30:18Speaker 2: over by Bahama Breeze, and then and then back to
- 1:30:20Speaker 2: spot one. And that's what you do, right in a sense. Yes,
- 1:30:24Speaker 2: I like to tell people if the automas vehicles like
- 1:30:26Speaker 2: the airplane, we kind of play like a hybrid role
- 1:30:29Speaker 2: between the air traffic control and the airline. Oh, I
- 1:30:31Speaker 2: got ya. So that that's it's it's a little more complicated,
- 1:30:35Speaker 2: but that that that'll get boring quickly. So this seems
- 1:30:37Speaker 2: like it would be really like it. Maybe college campuses,
- 1:30:40Speaker 2: like really big college campuses. UCF one of the biggest
- 1:30:43Speaker 2: area colleges college campuses in the United States of America,
- 1:30:46Speaker 2: And if you've ever been on the campus, to get
- 1:30:48Speaker 2: from one side to the next, even in a vehicle,
- 1:30:50Speaker 2: is ten or eleven minutes to drive across center. So
- 1:30:53Speaker 2: is that where this really is going to apply? In
- 1:30:55Speaker 2: areas where you need to move mass amounts of people,
- 1:30:58Speaker 2: but you can't have of certain kind of eagles doing that. Absolutely.
- 1:31:03Speaker 2: I mean, you know, I actually wrote a shuttle into UCF.
- 1:31:06Speaker 2: I'm a UCF alumni. I wrote a shuttle into campus
- 1:31:08Speaker 2: every single day, and it would have been exactly like this,
- 1:31:11Speaker 2: and so we do focus on like college campuses or
- 1:31:13Speaker 2: executive campuses, theme parks, typical transportation centers, right like up
- 1:31:18Speaker 2: in Jacksonville running a route and downtown Jacksonville. That's cool
- 1:31:21Speaker 2: any But if we think about it right, we're also
- 1:31:24Speaker 2: trying to solve a socioeconomic problem where we have a
- 1:31:27Speaker 2: parking issue and traffic issues.
- 1:31:29Speaker 3: So that's why I'm thinking you would be perfect for
- 1:31:31Speaker 3: Mount Dora.
- 1:31:32Speaker 2: I love the idea, right because really what we're trying
- 1:31:36Speaker 2: to do is be flexible enough to get into some
- 1:31:39Speaker 2: underserved areas and bring people into you know, important or
- 1:31:44Speaker 2: highly traffic areas without causing more congestion. It seems like
- 1:31:47Speaker 2: a raalist trolley almost. This kind of hits It hits
- 1:31:50Speaker 2: me like a like a city trolley that doesn't rely
- 1:31:52Speaker 2: on a power source or a rail or something for now,
- 1:31:55Speaker 2: and we will get into the micro transit world here
- 1:31:58Speaker 2: in the near future, which is what we do, but
- 1:32:01Speaker 2: a little bit more flexible and allowing us to have
- 1:32:03Speaker 2: a little bit not necessarily just a fixed route. So
- 1:32:07Speaker 2: if you think about like having the base of a
- 1:32:09Speaker 2: fixed route, but then also some ancillary routes that you
- 1:32:12Speaker 2: can run, get people and bring them into larger transit corridors. Yeah,
- 1:32:16Speaker 2: you know, there's gonna be a combination of it. I mean,
- 1:32:18Speaker 2: if you think about it, public transportation wants to offer
- 1:32:21Speaker 2: both traditional fixed life sure, yeah, but they also want
- 1:32:25Speaker 2: to provide more flexible services. So eventually you'll see that
- 1:32:28Speaker 2: as well. Does your writer feedback? Excuse me, Jack, real quick?
- 1:32:30Speaker 2: Does your writer feedback? Do people have a hard time
- 1:32:33Speaker 2: trusting the vehicle?
- 1:32:34Speaker 9: Is?
- 1:32:34Speaker 2: Is that a hurdle? It is? I mean it's something
- 1:32:37Speaker 2: that really you have to touch it and experience it
- 1:32:40Speaker 2: to really get over that hump. And I like to
- 1:32:43Speaker 2: tell the story. I like to tell the story like
- 1:32:45Speaker 2: kind of on some of my first experiences where I'm
- 1:32:48Speaker 2: sitting in the back of a vehicle and you start
- 1:32:51Speaker 2: to tense up at first, right, and then when you
- 1:32:53Speaker 2: observe the surroundings and you observe the decision the vehicles making,
- 1:32:57Speaker 2: you go, oh, this is exactly how I I would respond,
- 1:33:00Speaker 2: I'm inching out, I'm waiting, and then I go, you
- 1:33:03Speaker 2: get you just get a lot more comfortable with it.
- 1:33:05Speaker 2: People in downtown Jacksonville I heard say something like this,
- 1:33:08Speaker 2: Now this ghost knows how to drive. This is a
- 1:33:12Speaker 2: good driving ghost.
- 1:33:13Speaker 17: Jack.
- 1:33:13Speaker 4: You have a question for Ian come back Monday when
- 1:33:15Speaker 4: Jim apologizes to Jacksonville.
- 1:33:17Speaker 2: Again again I called him fat earlier. Ian.
- 1:33:21Speaker 4: We you know Waymos recently making news about starting operations
- 1:33:25Speaker 4: here in Orlando. I believe today a story broke. How
- 1:33:29Speaker 4: uber is you know, getting into that as well?
- 1:33:33Speaker 2: Right now?
- 1:33:33Speaker 4: How many would you guess autonomous vehicles driverless vehicles are
- 1:33:39Speaker 4: operating in central Florida?
- 1:33:41Speaker 2: A great question. Yeah, it's a good question. I'm not
- 1:33:44Speaker 2: entirely sure. I want to say I think Waymo announce
- 1:33:47Speaker 2: somewheer on thirty or forty, and I could be wrong,
- 1:33:50Speaker 2: don't don't don't quote me on that, but I know
- 1:33:52Speaker 2: there are there's some exciting plans coming in the near
- 1:33:55Speaker 2: term where I think that that number is going to
- 1:33:57Speaker 2: increase pretty drastic.
- 1:33:58Speaker 4: But there's also some cities or like like like BEEP
- 1:34:02Speaker 4: is operating, you know, in the Oltamont area, and and
- 1:34:06Speaker 4: so there's more than just WEYMO.
- 1:34:09Speaker 2: Yeah, absolutely in our local area, it's gonna be WEIMO
- 1:34:12Speaker 2: and it's and it's going to be BEEP right now,
- 1:34:14Speaker 2: is it really? Yea, so it is? Do you like,
- 1:34:17Speaker 2: is the the idea of BEEP work better? And like
- 1:34:20Speaker 2: a again, like I said earlier, like a closed set
- 1:34:22Speaker 2: like like this is the area in which BEEP is
- 1:34:25Speaker 2: going to work as opposed to weymo more like an
- 1:34:27Speaker 2: uber type thing where you you can have it come
- 1:34:29Speaker 2: across town at any point. I think it's just it's
- 1:34:31Speaker 2: really a different it's just a different different case, right.
- 1:34:34Speaker 2: Like what we do is we don't necessarily come into
- 1:34:37Speaker 2: a city and just disrupt it and say, hey, we're
- 1:34:38Speaker 2: going to deploy a bunch of robotax right right, right.
- 1:34:40Speaker 2: We take a little bit more of like a partnership approach.
- 1:34:42Speaker 2: We work with the cities, municipalities, transportation agencies and and
- 1:34:46Speaker 2: again because of the public, uh, the approach we want
- 1:34:51Speaker 2: to take with kind of getting the community involved, right
- 1:34:53Speaker 2: and making sure there's public acceptance or education to where
- 1:34:57Speaker 2: people are more inclined to ride. It's really more of
- 1:35:00Speaker 2: that partnership approach, right, Yeah, very cool man, Yeah yeah.
- 1:35:04Speaker 2: And what's the do you have to wean off having
- 1:35:08Speaker 2: a human vehicle?
- 1:35:09Speaker 4: So you go through testing, but is there when you're
- 1:35:13Speaker 4: first like introducing it, how long is there a human
- 1:35:17Speaker 4: in the vehicle and then not operating it and then
- 1:35:21Speaker 4: when it's fully autonomous.
- 1:35:23Speaker 2: That's a great question, actually, and it really is going
- 1:35:25Speaker 2: to kind of depend on the technology of the autonomous
- 1:35:27Speaker 2: drive system, right, And so yes, there's always a time
- 1:35:31Speaker 2: period where you come in and you map a city, right,
- 1:35:34Speaker 2: And so in our situations we typically map like routes,
- 1:35:37Speaker 2: additional routes, sub routes. WEIMA will come in and map
- 1:35:40Speaker 2: an entire zone with a bunch of roads, and then
- 1:35:44Speaker 2: what they'll do after they've collected all that map data
- 1:35:46Speaker 2: and kind of create the drivable world as we'll call it, right,
- 1:35:49Speaker 2: they have an attendant that's on board that's just continuing
- 1:35:52Speaker 2: to collect that data and they'll do that from anywhere
- 1:35:54Speaker 2: from six to twelve months. It really depends on the
- 1:35:57Speaker 2: complexity of like in essence, youre your roadway complexity, right. Yeah,
- 1:36:01Speaker 2: there are some areas where it's just slower speeds, less risk,
- 1:36:05Speaker 2: so it can go a little bit quicker, but it's
- 1:36:08Speaker 2: it's really proving a safety case where we have enough
- 1:36:11Speaker 2: road hours that have been driven, we can prove certain metrics,
- 1:36:14Speaker 2: certain test cases, and then we pull the driver out
- 1:36:17Speaker 2: and man, you are dipping your toe into the fire
- 1:36:20Speaker 2: of all fires, because again you guys are rolling this
- 1:36:22Speaker 2: thing up for feet for the World Cup in Atlanta.
- 1:36:24Speaker 18: We are.
- 1:36:24Speaker 2: Yeah, what a test market, thanks Jim. Yeah, I'm the
- 1:36:32Speaker 2: guy responsib and my team and our engineering team respect.
- 1:36:36Speaker 2: I love this because, dude, if you're gonna jump in, yeah,
- 1:36:38Speaker 2: you might as well jump in. This is jumping in. Yeah.
- 1:36:41Speaker 2: We uh so. Yeah, we're very excited with our partnership
- 1:36:43Speaker 2: with the Atlanta belt Line. And yes, it is going
- 1:36:46Speaker 2: to be in support of the World Cup that's going
- 1:36:49Speaker 2: up there, and it is. It's it's a huge it's
- 1:36:52Speaker 2: a it's a huge jump for us. It is something
- 1:36:53Speaker 2: we're really excited about. I got to say that I've
- 1:36:56Speaker 2: got an amazing team behind me, and so I'm pretty
- 1:36:59Speaker 2: confident and comfortable with how we're gonna prove very nice.
- 1:37:02Speaker 2: I'm happy for you, buddy. I'm glad it works out.
- 1:37:04Speaker 3: And we'll end it on this, I guess.
- 1:37:05Speaker 6: But someone texted us at seven seven zero three one
- 1:37:08Speaker 6: and said, I heard you're about to talk to a
- 1:37:09Speaker 6: Beep rep. I work for Beep and they are all
- 1:37:12Speaker 6: caps a fantastic company to work for.
- 1:37:16Speaker 5: Awesome.
- 1:37:16Speaker 2: I'm like, I'm happy to hear that. Yeah, so Orlando based. Yeah, absolutely,
- 1:37:20Speaker 2: we're over in Lakenona. Wow. Really Yeah, Yeah, we're over
- 1:37:22Speaker 2: in Lakenona. Let me ask, I mean, did you guys
- 1:37:24Speaker 2: roll out funding for this, you know, back in the day.
- 1:37:26Speaker 2: I mean, when did this concept come up? And when
- 1:37:27Speaker 2: did you guys open this up for funding for development
- 1:37:29Speaker 2: and stuff. So Beep's been around for about six years
- 1:37:32Speaker 2: and and tavistock is is heavily involved. Yeah, and Beep's
- 1:37:38Speaker 2: you know, existence in future hence the late Nona office. Yes, yeah, yeah,
- 1:37:42Speaker 2: that mister lewis rich. That's how he is super rich.
- 1:37:48Speaker 2: But it's great though they have somebody like that. I
- 1:37:50Speaker 2: mean that, you know what, that's you have to have
- 1:37:52Speaker 2: a progressive mind thought because I mean we're changing. I mean,
- 1:37:55Speaker 2: I mean you look at like one of the topics
- 1:37:57Speaker 2: I'm going to talk about the six o'clock hours this
- 1:37:58Speaker 2: Maybe it's awesome that you're here while doing this. How
- 1:38:00Speaker 2: old are you? I'm forty two. Okay, so I'm fifty
- 1:38:03Speaker 2: eight and these guys here are around the same age,
- 1:38:05Speaker 2: much younger, much younger when we were young. When I
- 1:38:09Speaker 2: was a kid, this is what the future was like.
- 1:38:12Speaker 2: I remember thinking, specifically because you watch shows like the
- 1:38:15Speaker 2: Jetsons and stuff, you know, And I talked to my
- 1:38:17Speaker 2: wife about this this morning. I said, because she's ten,
- 1:38:19Speaker 2: She's nine years younger than me. I said, what was
- 1:38:21Speaker 2: it like for you? She goes, For me, it was
- 1:38:22Speaker 2: flying cars, and for us, I think flying cars are
- 1:38:25Speaker 2: so out of the loop that you never thought that
- 1:38:27Speaker 2: would be the case. But a driverless, autonomous kind of
- 1:38:31Speaker 2: robot vehicle is something that I thought would be the
- 1:38:34Speaker 2: future as a kid. And here we are in twenty
- 1:38:36Speaker 2: twenty six talking about this very thing. One hundred percent.
- 1:38:39Speaker 2: You hit the nail on the head when you start
- 1:38:40Speaker 2: talking about AI and how AI was kind of breaking
- 1:38:44Speaker 2: a barrier, right, I think it simultaneously. AI is breaking
- 1:38:48Speaker 2: that barrier, and so is autonomous vehicle or so are
- 1:38:50Speaker 2: autonomous vehicles, and it's it's only going to rapidly evolve
- 1:38:54Speaker 2: faster and faster.
- 1:38:55Speaker 4: Yeah, and for people texting it, Oh, it's taking human jobs. Amen,
- 1:38:59Speaker 4: this is a job that human should no longer have. Jesus,
- 1:39:03Speaker 4: jack Jesus giving it. They are the worst, you know what,
- 1:39:07Speaker 4: Jackie comments not endorsed by Beep. You know what, those
- 1:39:10Speaker 4: the beat non driver is not going to be staring
- 1:39:12Speaker 4: at their.
- 1:39:13Speaker 2: Phone or pist off because their girlfriend left them and
- 1:39:16Speaker 2: then drive you into a wall. Yeah, that's great. I
- 1:39:20Speaker 2: mean at the end of the day, what we're really
- 1:39:21Speaker 2: going to focus on is trying to upscale that existing
- 1:39:24Speaker 2: labor force, right and bring them into into higher paying
- 1:39:27Speaker 2: jobs and and and jobs in and around the Thomas
- 1:39:29Speaker 2: vehicles great spinning and you guys, haven't I know that
- 1:39:32Speaker 2: Jack asked something like this a little bit earlier. Do
- 1:39:34Speaker 2: you guys have a projection of how many vehicles you
- 1:39:36Speaker 2: have planning you have you plan having in this area
- 1:39:39Speaker 2: in the next like maybe five years. I will say
- 1:39:43Speaker 2: we are about to make a couple of announcements in
- 1:39:44Speaker 2: the next couple of months. Will whatever you do don't
- 1:39:48Speaker 2: break news here? Yeah?
- 1:39:49Speaker 11: That will.
- 1:39:52Speaker 3: Actually glad.
- 1:39:53Speaker 2: Absolutely, those announcements will really start to kind of set
- 1:39:59Speaker 2: the tone and pop or what we'll see here in
- 1:40:00Speaker 2: central Oh wow, really yeah, So they're gonna be they're
- 1:40:03Speaker 2: gonna be big news. There is there's there's there's big
- 1:40:05Speaker 2: news coming on them. So you guys have struck a
- 1:40:07Speaker 2: couple deals with somebody here in town, and that's obviously
- 1:40:09Speaker 2: gonna be gigantic news for you. Wow, look at that.
- 1:40:12Speaker 5: Yep.
- 1:40:12Speaker 2: Absolutely, Yeah. I wonder if it's a theme part.
- 1:40:14Speaker 4: Yeah, let's see if we can get him in trouble.
- 1:40:16Speaker 4: Keep peppering that I'm not gonna papper him anymore.
- 1:40:18Speaker 2: But look, I mean we talk about this all the time,
- 1:40:19Speaker 2: the expanse of the Disney properties. If you're out there
- 1:40:22Speaker 2: on property for even three seconds, all you see is
- 1:40:25Speaker 2: buses and shuttles and stuff like that being run by people,
- 1:40:28Speaker 2: And you could obviously see that would be a prime
- 1:40:32Speaker 2: suspect for automation, uh, to make that more reliable, more predictable, safer,
- 1:40:37Speaker 2: all of those things. You could see that that move
- 1:40:40Speaker 2: being made absolutely, I mean without a doubt. Right, you're
- 1:40:44Speaker 2: in our use case where there's predictability, and like you said,
- 1:40:47Speaker 2: you mentioned that fixture out, I mean it's prime for
- 1:40:49Speaker 2: that and so but we'll expand into other areas and
- 1:40:51Speaker 2: more flexibility and that'll that'll open open things up even further. Well,
- 1:40:54Speaker 2: we will keep our ears peeled for the big announcement.
- 1:40:57Speaker 2: And I can't thank you enough. You guys give it
- 1:40:58Speaker 2: a good love for Ian Clark, got yeah or fun
- 1:41:02Speaker 2: stuff on the horizon for Beep, I love that. Thanks
- 1:41:04Speaker 2: for joining us by, We appreciate it so much. No PROBM,
- 1:41:06Speaker 2: thanks for having me on all right for our seven
- 1:41:07Speaker 2: nine six four one text us at seven seven zero

- 1:41:40Speaker 20: the genders, and also like pick some old porn, like
- 1:41:45Speaker 20: really really old porn titles from the forties, fifties, sixties,
- 1:41:49Speaker 20: and seventies rather than just the new style.
- 1:41:52Speaker 2: Okay, we burned through everything the house last last week
- 1:41:55Speaker 2: it was Frans Farmers. I don't know what else you want,
- 1:41:57Speaker 2: but it's trans farm.
- 1:42:02Speaker 3: Oh it's like the movie I look at it now.
- 1:42:07Speaker 2: All right, Welcome back to the Jim Cober Show right
- 1:42:08Speaker 2: here on Real Radio Boy one. I am Jim. There's

- 1:42:33Speaker 2: Or not?
- 1:42:34Speaker 3: We do make a bad threesome?
- 1:42:35Speaker 2: Apparently I'm just learning this now, all right, I'm right
- 1:42:41Speaker 2: coming up and for twenty minutes I can't feel nothing.
- 1:42:44Speaker 2: Today's wonder.
- 1:42:45Speaker 4: We'll get a pair of tickets to sea World Seven
- 1:42:48Speaker 4: Seeds Food Festival. Now I've been telling you the Beach

- 1:42:55Speaker 4: The beautiful thing is when you go to sea World
- 1:42:58Speaker 4: seven Seeds Food Festival, and you when you're at SeaWorld

- 1:46:46Speaker 8: Two?
- 1:46:46Speaker 2: One or two?
- 1:46:47Speaker 4: I cannot give you that answer because I talked to
- 1:46:50Speaker 4: both people.
- 1:46:51Speaker 2: Yeah, Oh they're both. They're both so lovely. If I
- 1:46:54Speaker 2: gave you the names, would it help?
- 1:46:56Speaker 9: No?
- 1:46:57Speaker 3: Okay, I'm gonna disappoint someone.
- 1:46:58Speaker 2: Well, here's the thing. You don't know what line it is.
- 1:47:01Speaker 2: It's Bill or Chuck. Let's go with Chuck. There you go,
- 1:47:06Speaker 2: Sorry Bill, Charles, How you doing? Buddy?
- 1:47:10Speaker 7: All right?
- 1:47:10Speaker 2: You're doing really good? Now tell me is this an
- 1:47:13Speaker 2: actual adult film title? Let's make a squeal? You're a winner?
- 1:47:24Speaker 4: Hole.
- 1:47:24Speaker 2: There you go, and then you get it wrong. Sometimes
- 1:47:27Speaker 2: it's confusing and you get porn on the brain. Stop
- 1:47:31Speaker 2: thinking right.
- 1:47:32Speaker 3: The blood goes elsewhere.
- 1:47:33Speaker 2: Yeah, for sure. A couple others that didn't did not
- 1:47:37Speaker 2: make the cut before we get to the top of
- 1:47:38Speaker 2: the hour, Beaver Valley where animals live? What do you
- 1:47:43Speaker 2: guys face Dance or the Bare Bitch Project?
- 1:47:56Speaker 3: Good Time, Good Time?
- 1:47:58Speaker 2: You know what. The only reason I didn't put that
- 1:47:59Speaker 2: in the top fours I didn't want to say the
- 1:48:01Speaker 2: B word four times or five times that honestly I didn't,
- 1:48:04Speaker 2: all right for seven nine one four one text us
- 1:48:06Speaker 2: at seven seven as zero three one back in one
- 1:48:09Speaker 2: second with more than Jim Corbor chisok covert fa Oh
- 1:48:20Speaker 2: my god, you know very loud. It's the favorite te back.
- 1:48:24Speaker 19: Okay, So this is actually and Anthony Simpatico said, mention
- 1:48:30Speaker 19: all of us, So I got a shout out eighty
- 1:48:34Speaker 19: bottom honor.
- 1:48:35Speaker 5: He's not a fan of the.
- 1:48:36Speaker 19: Intro of it, Jinny, she's awesome. And what's sick black
- 1:48:41Speaker 19: tea on I and it.
- 1:48:43Speaker 5: We'll get rid of the sky.
- 1:48:45Speaker 2: Yeah, old junkie bag. There is just naming people in
- 1:48:48Speaker 2: the YouTube chat. Oh, I see he's giving them advice
- 1:48:51Speaker 2: on the air.
- 1:48:52Speaker 4: No, he he wanted to say he's giving them shout
- 1:48:54Speaker 4: outs on that very nice because in the YouTube chat,
- 1:48:57Speaker 4: they're like, hey, you never mentioned us. So then he
- 1:49:00Speaker 4: he just cracked a beer and just started Yeah, well
- 1:49:06Speaker 4: I have a couple from him. He opens a beer
- 1:49:08Speaker 4: in each one of them. So you know, we get
- 1:49:12Speaker 4: around to him when we can.
- 1:49:15Speaker 2: I wouldn't mind being that hammered a couple of times
- 1:49:17Speaker 2: a year. I'm gonna be honest, I can't drink as
- 1:49:20Speaker 2: much any you'll have the way that you have more Jack,
- 1:49:22Speaker 2: I'm sorry, Noga. Okay, by the way, welcome back. I'm Jim.
- 1:49:26Speaker 2: There's deb Jacks here as well. Yeah, so you know,
- 1:49:31Speaker 2: America's drinking habits are changing dramatically, Like I read another
- 1:49:35Speaker 2: piece today in Newsweek about that. Like, you know, we
- 1:49:38Speaker 2: just talked about the restaurants having a difficult time, and
- 1:49:41Speaker 2: it has nothing to do with well, it has a
- 1:49:43Speaker 2: little bit to do with like the food cost is
- 1:49:45Speaker 2: not the major thing. It's that people aren't drinking anymore.
- 1:49:48Speaker 2: So whereas somebody would come in and spend maybe sixty
- 1:49:50Speaker 2: or seventy dollars on a meal and then throw in
- 1:49:52Speaker 2: another forty bucks on top of that with either champagne, wine,
- 1:49:55Speaker 2: cocktails or beer or whatever, they're simply not doing that
- 1:49:57Speaker 2: they're drinking water or soda is good and cutting the
- 1:50:01Speaker 2: restaurant's profit margin by a dramatic amount. And here's why,
- 1:50:04Speaker 2: because the markup on alcohol is way better than it
- 1:50:08Speaker 2: is on food. I mean, if you sell a ten
- 1:50:10Speaker 2: dollar food item, you may make two or three dollars
- 1:50:12Speaker 2: on it, but if you sell a ten dollar drink,
- 1:50:13Speaker 2: you're making eight bugs on it. I'm sorry, am I
- 1:50:15Speaker 2: supposed to feel bad about that? Well, it's not that
- 1:50:18Speaker 2: you should feel bad about it. It is the change
- 1:50:20Speaker 2: of pace. But it is weirder that I mean. It
- 1:50:21Speaker 2: just people are starting to look for alternative ways to
- 1:50:24Speaker 2: alter their consciousness. You know, when when you know, marijuana
- 1:50:27Speaker 2: started becoming more and more accessible, I think that people
- 1:50:30Speaker 2: are just like, well, look, I mean, I'm gonna roll
- 1:50:32Speaker 2: the marijuana diykes because I know alcohol is a toxinto
- 1:50:35Speaker 2: every organ in my body and I hate the way
- 1:50:38Speaker 2: I feel after I get a buzz. But when I
- 1:50:41Speaker 2: get high, I can have a good time, kind of
- 1:50:43Speaker 2: lose myself a little bit, and the next day nothing's wrong.
- 1:50:47Speaker 2: And that's you know, that's not even factoring the breeze
- 1:50:49Speaker 2: drinks that are now killing everybody.
- 1:50:51Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean except those are going away.
- 1:50:53Speaker 2: What happened?
- 1:50:54Speaker 4: Well again because of the marijuana yea, yeah, because of
- 1:50:58Speaker 4: big alcohol. Say, that's exactly cutting into our profit.
- 1:51:01Speaker 2: But you know what the funny thing is that, you know, them,
- 1:51:04Speaker 2: them manipulating legislation through their lobby is not going to
- 1:51:07Speaker 2: change the habit of anybody. It's not going to do it.
- 1:51:10Speaker 2: I mean, them, them demand, you know, them making it
- 1:51:13Speaker 2: more difficult to get something isn't going to change the habit.
- 1:51:16Speaker 4: It's not going to wally, let me ask you a question, desire.
- 1:51:18Speaker 4: But but it could definitely cut down on the use
- 1:51:21Speaker 4: if something is harder to get. Yeah, like whereas you know,
- 1:51:25Speaker 4: if you go to Total Wine tonight and you see
- 1:51:28Speaker 4: a whole shelf full of THC and fused drinks or
- 1:51:32Speaker 4: you know where it's viable or you know, five percent
- 1:51:36Speaker 4: or ten percent or more, and then after this kicks in,
- 1:51:39Speaker 4: then it's only a fraction of that. I mean, that's
- 1:51:42Speaker 4: just going to totally wipe out that industry.
- 1:51:45Speaker 2: I would use cigarettes as a combative argument to that,
- 1:51:49Speaker 2: because here's the thing. You know, people who smoke cigarettes,
- 1:51:51Speaker 2: there are alternatives to get caffeine. Arm not get caffeine,
- 1:51:54Speaker 2: but nicotine. You could use zen. You could use patches,
- 1:51:57Speaker 2: you could do all that. It's going. It's going to
- 1:51:59Speaker 2: take care of the nicotine thing you have. But people
- 1:52:01Speaker 2: like to smoke. And I don't care if you print
- 1:52:03Speaker 2: on this on the pack, this will kill you and
- 1:52:05Speaker 2: you know, and a skull and crossbones. People will still
- 1:52:07Speaker 2: buy it and smoke because they want to do that.
- 1:52:10Speaker 2: That's that's my point.
- 1:52:11Speaker 4: Yeah, people who want it will be able to get it,
- 1:52:14Speaker 4: and they will find a way. Yeah, but when you
- 1:52:17Speaker 4: make it harder, whether it's to vote, whether it's you
- 1:52:21Speaker 4: or get tea, it will for a people definitely reduce
- 1:52:25Speaker 4: the amount of peace. It definitely will because people, you know,
- 1:52:27Speaker 4: they will take the easiest path for sure.
- 1:52:29Speaker 17: Yeah.
- 1:52:29Speaker 2: Yeah, uh four seven nine one six four want to
- 1:52:32Speaker 2: get text us seven seven zero three one. I want
- 1:52:34Speaker 2: to go back to what I was talking to Ian
- 1:52:35Speaker 2: about a second ago and see what you guys thought.
- 1:52:37Speaker 2: Because I was talking to my wife about this. I
- 1:52:38Speaker 2: found it kind of interesting and I didn't get a
- 1:52:40Speaker 2: chance to check out the texting service when I brought
- 1:52:42Speaker 2: it up, and it was in the context of another topic.
- 1:52:46Speaker 2: But the whole idea of the future thing, like what
- 1:52:48Speaker 2: would you guys think, like a twenty year old right
- 1:52:50Speaker 2: now would think that the future, because I asked my
- 1:52:53Speaker 2: wife that this morning and she said what I thought.
- 1:52:56Speaker 2: But like when you sat as a ten year old
- 1:52:58Speaker 2: in nineteen seventy six or seventy eight or whatever it
- 1:53:02Speaker 2: was when I was that old, you know, just the
- 1:53:04Speaker 2: idea of a push button phone was unbelievable. As a
- 1:53:07Speaker 2: matter of fact, I remember when I came back from
- 1:53:08Speaker 2: West Virginia after we'd lived there, I think it was
- 1:53:11Speaker 2: like seventy nine or eighty. The first thing my uncle
- 1:53:14Speaker 2: did is he ran over, picked me up, ran me
- 1:53:17Speaker 2: in the house, and he goes check this out, and
- 1:53:19Speaker 2: he showed me we had a push button phone. It
- 1:53:21Speaker 2: was that big of a deal. Yeah, it really was.
- 1:53:23Speaker 2: I remember as a kid seeing video teleconferencing on shows
- 1:53:28Speaker 2: like The six Million Dollar Man, because they were trying
- 1:53:31Speaker 2: to show you that they were more technologically advanced than
- 1:53:33Speaker 2: we were had access to that and we did not.
- 1:53:36Speaker 2: So you kind of knew the idea of teleconferencing was
- 1:53:39Speaker 2: something people had talked about, but we know it wasn't
- 1:53:42Speaker 2: even really accessible until what six eight years ago when
- 1:53:45Speaker 2: when you know zoom or teams came into play. That
- 1:53:47Speaker 2: it was one of those things that was a daily thing.
- 1:53:49Speaker 2: You didn't have to have special software to do it.
- 1:53:52Speaker 2: At the consumer level. Yeah, at the consumer level. And
- 1:53:54Speaker 2: that's what I'm talking about, right, things that you could
- 1:53:56Speaker 2: put your hands on. So we couldn't figure out I mean,
- 1:53:59Speaker 2: she said one. I think that's kind of accurate. But
- 1:54:02Speaker 2: we couldn't figure out what we thought a twenty year
- 1:54:04Speaker 2: old would think the future is gonna look like, because
- 1:54:07Speaker 2: for us, I mean, it's it's not orwellian by any means,
- 1:54:11Speaker 2: but it also you know, when you have a computer
- 1:54:14Speaker 2: in your hand, right, you have autonomous vehicles, you have robots,
- 1:54:19Speaker 2: you have AI. Now, I mean that's the things that
- 1:54:22Speaker 2: I mean you thought that were future, Then what do
- 1:54:24Speaker 2: you think of twenty year old things it is? I
- 1:54:26Speaker 2: think one of the stereotypes is the tropes is a
- 1:54:29Speaker 2: flying car. The flying cars.
- 1:54:31Speaker 4: They are actually testing them and they have you know,
- 1:54:35Speaker 4: they're changing regulations or designations for the FAA. I believe
- 1:54:41Speaker 4: they're doing designations for these electric flying taxis.
- 1:54:45Speaker 2: Yeah, but I still think that's far stretch from what
- 1:54:48Speaker 2: we thought the flying car was gonna be like, Like
- 1:54:50Speaker 2: we would have one on top of our roof, we'd
- 1:54:51Speaker 2: go up there and we'd fly to work every day. Right,
- 1:54:53Speaker 2: that's not going to happen. Yeah, yeah, that's I mean again,
- 1:54:56Speaker 2: it's just the air traffic safety that's going to make
- 1:54:58Speaker 2: that impossible. What my wife thought was is is uh
- 1:55:01Speaker 2: more robots in the home doing chores like that. She
- 1:55:05Speaker 2: thought that that would be the case, like everybodys on
- 1:55:07Speaker 2: the like everybody would have like an eye robot scenario,
- 1:55:11Speaker 2: that you would have a personal servant robot to help
- 1:55:13Speaker 2: you with chores around the house. I mean many people
- 1:55:15Speaker 2: have a robot cleaning vacuuming their rugs, right, I have
- 1:55:17Speaker 2: one cleaning my little rocks. Yeah yeah, yeah, the uh
- 1:55:21Speaker 2: I think like the replicator on Star Trek where you
- 1:55:25Speaker 2: you punch up what you want and then it just materializes.
- 1:55:28Speaker 4: Yeah, it's basically three D printing. It really is kind
- 1:55:31Speaker 4: isn't it. But you thought it was like teleporting though, right, Yeah,
- 1:55:34Speaker 4: well that's a different one. Yeah, I mean teleporting that's
- 1:55:37Speaker 4: another one.
- 1:55:37Speaker 21: Yeah.
- 1:55:38Speaker 2: It's you know when you you're beaming me to it
- 1:55:41Speaker 2: as a particles particles and you're beat me over there
- 1:55:44Speaker 2: and putting meat together crazy, and that's where we get
- 1:55:47Speaker 2: the fly, right, the movie The Fly. Yeah, I don't
- 1:55:49Speaker 2: know if that's going to be possible. That one's no,
- 1:55:52Speaker 2: it's not going to be possible. What do you think
- 1:55:53Speaker 2: it is dead? What do you mean it's not you
- 1:55:55Speaker 2: know it's not.
- 1:55:57Speaker 3: I think AI is going to be treated like a
- 1:55:59Speaker 3: fan family member.
- 1:56:01Speaker 2: You think, well, everybody will have like an AI agent.
- 1:56:04Speaker 3: Not an AI agent.
- 1:56:05Speaker 6: But when you see reports of like especially the younger
- 1:56:08Speaker 6: generations are turning more and more to AI to help
- 1:56:12Speaker 6: them have difficult conversations. I don't know if you've seen
- 1:56:15Speaker 6: the commercial of the young woman waiting for her aunt
- 1:56:17Speaker 6: at the airport, No, and she's coming down the escalator
- 1:56:20Speaker 6: and the young woman says, how do I get her
- 1:56:23Speaker 6: to not ask me if I'm dating someone?
- 1:56:26Speaker 7: Oh?
- 1:56:26Speaker 2: No way? Really?
- 1:56:27Speaker 6: The AI says, oh, just make it about her, compliment
- 1:56:31Speaker 6: her blouse, ask her how she's doing. And it was like,
- 1:56:33Speaker 6: that's something again you would call a friend. So I
- 1:56:36Speaker 6: could see, much like the series and the Alexas, outside.
- 1:56:40Speaker 2: Of it just being it would be more personalized for you, persed,
- 1:56:45Speaker 2: like you would walk into your house and say, in
- 1:56:46Speaker 2: the name.
- 1:56:47Speaker 6: Had a really hard day today, tell me a nice
- 1:56:50Speaker 6: there'd be more human interaction with non human I.
- 1:56:52Speaker 4: Think what you're going to get is that combined with
- 1:56:54Speaker 4: what Tori thought and having a robot and home like
- 1:56:57Speaker 4: whether it's doing chores and stuff, but you've use the
- 1:57:00Speaker 4: two together, sit down counselor it's your babysitter.
- 1:57:03Speaker 3: Exact, and it ends up becoming a part of the family.
- 1:57:07Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, like a like an animal, like a
- 1:57:09Speaker 2: pet almost.
- 1:57:10Speaker 6: I mean, but again, an animal is another sentient creature.
- 1:57:15Speaker 6: It can feel, it has emotions. This is not sentient.
- 1:57:18Speaker 2: Yeah, well, but.
- 1:57:19Speaker 6: You'll give it sentient characteristics. Jack, what's that big fancy
- 1:57:22Speaker 6: word you always.
- 1:57:23Speaker 2: Use, anthropomorphic fallacy.
- 1:57:26Speaker 3: That's right up there with my Diego Alejandro earlier.
- 1:57:29Speaker 6: Yeah, that's what I see robots in the home and
- 1:57:33Speaker 6: AI and it being really integrated in the ways that
- 1:57:36Speaker 6: we think people right now with.
- 1:57:38Speaker 2: Almost like a roommate you walk in and say, hey, Rosie,
- 1:57:41Speaker 2: you know blah blah blah blah blah.
- 1:57:42Speaker 6: It's like the movie Her right yea, yeah, I mean
- 1:57:44Speaker 6: we've seen that already with grown people with teenagers really
- 1:57:48Speaker 6: turning to AI for those those moments that used to
- 1:57:51Speaker 6: be human connection.
- 1:57:52Speaker 2: But technology though, I mean other than AI. Do you
- 1:57:54Speaker 2: think me? Like, what what do you think? A twenty
- 1:57:56Speaker 2: year old thinks the future looks.
- 1:57:58Speaker 3: Like no going to the office, everything remote work.
- 1:58:03Speaker 2: You think implants are part of that. I know, like
- 1:58:07Speaker 2: a lot of your information will be a chip thing
- 1:58:09Speaker 2: where you don't really have any physical thing you bring
- 1:58:13Speaker 2: with you to buyer or have services rendered. You just
- 1:58:16Speaker 2: basically can wave your hand or all of your identity
- 1:58:19Speaker 2: is based on either a technological piece of like a chip,
- 1:58:24Speaker 2: or your fingerprint or your eye. I mean, I know
- 1:58:26Speaker 2: it's close to that already, but I'm talking about every transaction,
- 1:58:29Speaker 2: everything you do where you have it on your phone.
- 1:58:31Speaker 2: Now now it actually be personal, maybe on your body.
- 1:58:34Speaker 2: I have two daughters in their twenties.
- 1:58:36Speaker 4: I think I will ask them this, yeah, because one
- 1:58:40Speaker 4: of them uses AI heavily. The other one uses it,
- 1:58:44Speaker 4: but she also hates when it's used for art, like
- 1:58:48Speaker 4: you know, she'll reject like Eddie.
- 1:58:50Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah. And that's what you can't even copyright anyone.
- 1:58:54Speaker 6: And that's what's going to make it really interesting is
- 1:58:56Speaker 6: that the youngest generation, the Zoomers and the Alphas, we
- 1:59:00Speaker 6: see them turning to retro things. They're the ones leading this.
- 1:59:04Speaker 6: You know, leave your phone off for twenty four hours.
- 1:59:06Speaker 6: They're really trying to get upset knitting, Yeah.
- 1:59:08Speaker 3: Taking up knitting.
- 1:59:09Speaker 6: They're really trying to separate themselves from the things that
- 1:59:11Speaker 6: are separating them from that human experience. So it'll be
- 1:59:14Speaker 6: interesting to see how they integrate trying to stay human
- 1:59:19Speaker 6: but also becoming the twenty first century.
- 1:59:22Speaker 2: Do you think that any of if I were to
- 1:59:24Speaker 2: ask one hundred twenty year olds about what they thought
- 1:59:26Speaker 2: the future looked liked, that any of them would mention
- 1:59:28Speaker 2: medical breakthroughs that would they would mention the fact that
- 1:59:31Speaker 2: AI is going to make medical and medical breakthroughs in
- 1:59:34Speaker 2: medicine considerably more effective. Yeah, I don't think it would either,
- 1:59:40Speaker 2: but I think that's where it's really going to make
- 1:59:42Speaker 2: the big rights. That's my personal Like the minute AI broke,
- 1:59:45Speaker 2: I was like, this is going to absolutely revolutionize medicine.
- 1:59:48Speaker 3: But you're at a different age group.
- 1:59:50Speaker 6: Well, when you asked if a twenty year old, if
- 1:59:52Speaker 6: they don't mention, well it's not that they don't care,
- 1:59:54Speaker 6: but their health is good at twenty they're not thinking
- 1:59:57Speaker 6: about medical breakthroughs because unless they have a sick family.
- 2:00:00Speaker 4: Man, and that's when you it's part of your reality,
- 2:00:03Speaker 4: and they'll be like, yes, cure for cancer one check that,
- 2:00:06Speaker 4: you know, and then it's then it's not going to
- 2:00:09Speaker 4: the doctor, it's being able to be scanned by your
- 2:00:12Speaker 4: phone for any.
- 2:00:13Speaker 2: Oh my goodness. Yeah, oh my goodness, you're right. Never
- 2:00:16Speaker 2: thought about that, right, Wow, goodness, that's crazy. You know
- 2:00:21Speaker 2: we couldn't. You know again, we racked our brains last
- 2:00:23Speaker 2: night because it was so easy for us, because we've
- 2:00:25Speaker 2: literally watched the road paved with technology since nineteen you know,
- 2:00:29Speaker 2: I guess would say eighty five. When the when the
- 2:00:31Speaker 2: cell phone hits is when I think then when my
- 2:00:34Speaker 2: generation started paying attention to like, oh man, wow, that's cool.
- 2:00:38Speaker 3: I remember when it was more than just seeing in.
- 2:00:40Speaker 2: The carousel of Progress at Disney, it was actually right
- 2:00:43Speaker 2: there in your hand. You were taking a phone somewhere
- 2:00:44Speaker 2: with no cord. That was like bananas.
- 2:00:47Speaker 6: You're saying, Oh, I remember when my dad said that
- 2:00:49Speaker 6: you'll be able to talk on the phone in your
- 2:00:51Speaker 6: car someday, And I was like, nad not in my lifetime.
- 2:00:54Speaker 2: Yeah, fun. I just remember at and t Ran these
- 2:00:56Speaker 2: commercials in the eighties.
- 2:00:58Speaker 4: Tom Selleck actually voiced them and he's like, have you
- 2:01:00Speaker 4: ever paid a toll without stopping?
- 2:01:03Speaker 2: One day? You will? Oh company that will bring it
- 2:01:05Speaker 2: to you is at and T Yeah, yeah, and there
- 2:01:08Speaker 2: are the ones.
- 2:01:09Speaker 4: I'm also an a T and T commercial when they
- 2:01:12Speaker 4: first had that the first phone, that flip phone that
- 2:01:15Speaker 4: took a picture, and I remember saying, who needs No
- 2:01:19Speaker 4: one's gonna want that?
- 2:01:20Speaker 5: Yeah, stupid.
- 2:01:21Speaker 3: And now we've watched Kodak Oh yeah, yeah, you know.
- 2:01:24Speaker 2: Polaroid fold all right, borrow seven nine four one text
- 2:01:27Speaker 2: us at seven seven zero three one. Everybody likes freebies.
- 2:01:31Speaker 2: When we get back, I'll end up with some free
- 2:01:33Speaker 2: stuff coming up this weekend. And when when a cool
- 2:01:36Speaker 2: design meets a practical problem and how that could turn
- 2:01:39Speaker 2: into a major issue for a big company. I'll tell
- 2:01:41Speaker 2: you all that next a coporate show.
- 2:01:50Speaker 16: Hey man, I'm liking this beep dude and I looked
- 2:01:54Speaker 16: him up and they're they're publicly traded, so you can
- 2:01:56Speaker 16: invest in them pretty cheap right now too.
- 2:01:59Speaker 2: I just drops a coin on really just that there
- 2:02:01Speaker 2: sounds legit, like wow, hey.
- 2:02:06Speaker 22: In reference to the AIS talk and everything, have you
- 2:02:08Speaker 22: guys seen the movie Surrogates with Bruce Willis to go,
- 2:02:13Speaker 22: Holy cow, It's exactly just about what.
- 2:02:16Speaker 5: We're going through right now. It was ahead of its time,
- 2:02:18Speaker 5: but check into that.
- 2:02:20Speaker 22: That's a crazy movie, but it's awesome at the same time.
- 2:02:26Speaker 9: Robots will build their own village to live in their
- 2:02:28Speaker 9: own space and have robot families, and then go to
- 2:02:32Speaker 9: robot human families to do human things for humans.
- 2:02:40Speaker 2: Sounds perfectly ordered, I mean, perfectly fun.
- 2:02:43Speaker 3: Nothing to see here.
- 2:02:45Speaker 2: Welcome, eg I'm Jim, there's dead Hello Jack is here
- 2:02:47Speaker 2: as well. Hell yeah, let's go, come on Jackson Cargo
- 2:02:54Speaker 2: pant mode.
- 2:02:55Speaker 9: I am.
- 2:02:56Speaker 4: I was thinking about wearing it tomorrow to birthday. Birthday tomorrow,
- 2:03:00Speaker 4: dad mood Yeah, Earthday Birthday anymore?
- 2:03:01Speaker 17: Right?
- 2:03:02Speaker 2: Yeah? I will be there all day. Really wow. Got
- 2:03:05Speaker 2: to oversee the radio the wrestling matches. How many total
- 2:03:12Speaker 2: matches tomorrow? I can't remember. Oh, I think there's one, two, three, four?
- 2:03:17Speaker 2: How many titles or belts are on the line tomorrow? Two?
- 2:03:21Speaker 17: Yeah?
- 2:03:21Speaker 4: Really?
- 2:03:21Speaker 2: Yeah? So the first it's the inaugural Men's Belt.
- 2:03:24Speaker 7: Oh really?
- 2:03:25Speaker 2: Yeah? You have you know, there's four mail wrestlers.
- 2:03:28Speaker 4: They each fight each other, then the winners advance each other,
- 2:03:32Speaker 4: and then they get the belt.
- 2:03:34Speaker 2: Really okay, very nice, and then Teal and Amber fight
- 2:03:37Speaker 2: for the very good that's tomorrow at Earthday Birthday, Earthday birthday.
- 2:03:44Speaker 2: They are right.
- 2:03:45Speaker 4: You go to ticketmaster dot com. Maybe if you have cash,
- 2:03:49Speaker 4: you go down to an Alexa. You may be able
- 2:03:51Speaker 4: to get a pair of there as well.
- 2:03:52Speaker 2: Nice. Absolutely, And who's playing again?
- 2:03:55Speaker 4: Uh oh buddy, there's so many three days Grace, uh
- 2:04:00Speaker 4: sleep theory Mammoth really yeah, Wolfy, Wow, really that's awesome.
- 2:04:06Speaker 2: I did not know that. Yeah, how about that? Yeah,
- 2:04:08Speaker 2: that's very cool. Yeah, they dropped the WVH thing. It's
- 2:04:11Speaker 2: just now Mammoth, which was Van Halen's original name. Yeah,
- 2:04:13Speaker 2: I prevail. Oh yeah, that's Matt Halen. Van Halen's original
- 2:04:17Speaker 2: name was Mammoth. And yeah, yeah, ye, a couple of them.
- 2:04:20Speaker 2: I think Mammoth was the last one they had before
- 2:04:22Speaker 2: they changed it to van Halen. I believe there was
- 2:04:25Speaker 2: another band or another something out there called that. So
- 2:04:28Speaker 2: when his son, Eddie's son Wolfgang sorted his band, he
- 2:04:32Speaker 2: called it. He called it Mammoth w v H.
- 2:04:35Speaker 4: About a dozen bands tomorrow plus Angel from the Monsters.
- 2:04:40Speaker 4: He's going to be DJ nice out there as well
- 2:04:43Speaker 4: in the DBD Loud Lounge warehouse.
- 2:04:46Speaker 2: Nice. So that that's gonna be cool. It's all day.
- 2:04:49Speaker 2: It starts. Gates had eleven goes until it's twelve hours. Yeah,
- 2:04:53Speaker 2: and the three D Three Days Grace thing is a
- 2:04:55Speaker 2: big deal because that lead singer left the band for
- 2:04:57Speaker 2: a while, but he's back now, so I I think
- 2:05:00Speaker 2: it's the original lineup for Three Days Grace and that
- 2:05:02Speaker 2: man they had a run there in the early two
- 2:05:04Speaker 2: thousands that was real. I mean they had like that
- 2:05:07Speaker 2: had two albums that dropped. I think they must have
- 2:05:08Speaker 2: had four bangers come off those records.
- 2:05:11Speaker 4: BMX stunt demos all day, the Give Local Love art Walk.
- 2:05:16Speaker 2: We have details.
- 2:05:17Speaker 4: It's on our website as well, Real Radio Dot fem
- 2:05:19Speaker 4: Slash events.
- 2:05:20Speaker 2: Just click on eedb very nice for seven nine one
- 2:05:23Speaker 2: six four one text us seven seven zero three one. So,
- 2:05:27Speaker 2: Florida's native grocery chain has unveiled its line up of
- 2:05:31Speaker 2: products that customers can try for free. Why did you
- 2:05:34Speaker 2: hear that free free? This sweek language for free, that's right, Publics.
- 2:05:38Speaker 2: I've never seen them do this before outside of the
- 2:05:40Speaker 2: normal costco bat buffet thing that they do on the weekends.
- 2:05:43Speaker 2: Usually when you walk in over in the bakery area
- 2:05:46Speaker 2: and in the deli area, they will have someone standing
- 2:05:48Speaker 2: out with samples of something at Publics, maybe down by
- 2:05:51Speaker 2: the meat department. They'll have something they're featuring, you know,
- 2:05:54Speaker 2: but it's rare. Yeah, I went to publics today.
- 2:05:58Speaker 3: Did you really sha're gonna need something this weekend?
- 2:06:01Speaker 2: But did you go to a public sport?
- 2:06:02Speaker 3: I think it's only tomorrow.
- 2:06:03Speaker 2: What did Aldie not have exactly that?
- 2:06:07Speaker 7: You are one?
- 2:06:09Speaker 4: Jams?
- 2:06:09Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 2:06:10Speaker 9: What?
- 2:06:10Speaker 4: I went for three items and the one, the most
- 2:06:13Speaker 4: important one, they didn't have. There was a public guy
- 2:06:15Speaker 4: behind me. I look on the shelf, didn't see it,
- 2:06:17Speaker 4: and then I start curse.
- 2:06:18Speaker 2: Mumbling loudly.
- 2:06:23Speaker 4: Okay, bota bing cherries? Oh yeah, no, have you've already
- 2:06:29Speaker 4: gone through a jar of those things?
- 2:06:30Speaker 2: What do you mean already?
- 2:06:31Speaker 5: What are you talking about?
- 2:06:32Speaker 2: You might want to slow down, boss, what time out?
- 2:06:34Speaker 2: Whoa a hundred cherries and those jars? Let me drink
- 2:06:37Speaker 2: you have? There is not one hundred cherries.
- 2:06:39Speaker 3: He buys one hundred cherry being chair.
- 2:06:42Speaker 2: But you can only buy I know the size. You
- 2:06:43Speaker 2: can only buy outsize jars. It's more like twenty five
- 2:06:47Speaker 2: in that John. There's more than there's more than twenty
- 2:06:49Speaker 2: five brands off stop. I don't think so stop it.
- 2:06:52Speaker 2: I don't got to give your heads up on your
- 2:06:54Speaker 2: on your old fashion. Yeah, if you go into those
- 2:06:56Speaker 2: stores I think ABC carries them, you can buy you
- 2:06:59Speaker 2: can find candied orange peels that are in that syrup.
- 2:07:05Speaker 2: And I'm telling you, I'm not saying replace your orange
- 2:07:08Speaker 2: peel in your old fashion, but if you're in a
- 2:07:10Speaker 2: pinch and you never have a chance to go buy it,
- 2:07:12Speaker 2: they stay forever. And I'm telling you it's delicious because
- 2:07:15Speaker 2: this syrup is orange flavored, so you don't have to
- 2:07:18Speaker 2: add simple to it. Oh brother, let me tell you
- 2:07:20Speaker 2: that's a nice save.
- 2:07:22Speaker 4: I like that as a backup because I've also used
- 2:07:24Speaker 4: the freeze dried oranges that they have, which is okay, yeah,
- 2:07:29Speaker 4: like those blood oranges candy.
- 2:07:30Speaker 2: The blood oranges is what they put it on top
- 2:07:32Speaker 2: like as a garnish. No, no, no, this is gonna
- 2:07:34Speaker 2: actually add flavor, but just a touch. And if you
- 2:07:38Speaker 2: don't think that's gonna work, instead of using as an
- 2:07:41Speaker 2: angosaura bitters, use the orange bitters. That'll also give it
- 2:07:44Speaker 2: another little thing. I don't use orange bitters in my
- 2:07:48Speaker 2: old fashion. You boys got to hit a total wine
- 2:07:50Speaker 2: on the way home to get my body, baby, and bro,
- 2:07:52Speaker 2: let me tell you, they don't give those damn things
- 2:07:53Speaker 2: away either, and they don't give bitters away anymore. What
- 2:07:56Speaker 2: happened to Bitters? Why is Bitterer's twelve dollars for three
- 2:08:00Speaker 2: that's a good price. By the way, is it really well?
- 2:08:03Speaker 4: Now, yeah, I've seen it. I'm like, I couldn't believe
- 2:08:06Speaker 4: how much Bitterer. I'm like, I'm not buying that. Yeah,
- 2:08:08Speaker 4: I'm like, let me check online. And then it got worse.
- 2:08:11Speaker 2: I'm like, I guess I'm buying that.
- 2:08:12Speaker 5: All right.
- 2:08:13Speaker 2: So if you go to the bakery of Public's this weekend,
- 2:08:14Speaker 2: you can get some carrot cake cheesecake. It looks good. Actually,
- 2:08:20Speaker 2: it's carrot cake on the bottom and a layer of
- 2:08:21Speaker 2: cheesecake and it's got icing on it. I'm sure it's good.
- 2:08:24Speaker 2: Doubled egg platters, well, now we're talking. Yeah, dude, that's
- 2:08:27Speaker 2: crazy right, Southern banana pudding and it's their brand. So
- 2:08:32Speaker 2: back up? Is this free? It says free free samples
- 2:08:35Speaker 2: of this right following, free samples throughout Public stores from
- 2:08:38Speaker 2: on March twenty first, which is tomorrow, from eleven until three.
- 2:08:42Speaker 2: And during this timeframe, customers can grab the following free
- 2:08:45Speaker 2: samples throughout the store. I'm telling you this cheesecake looks great.
- 2:08:48Speaker 2: I don't know if it's a full slice. It's probably
- 2:08:50Speaker 2: just a little bite, but pretty good doubled eggs. I'm
- 2:08:52Speaker 2: sure it's just like half a doubled egg. But who cares?
- 2:08:56Speaker 2: I hope not. Yeah, boneless, spiraled, boneless, spy slice, brown
- 2:09:01Speaker 2: sugar glazed ham, candy coated almonds, the past el ones,
- 2:09:07Speaker 2: what are they called almonds? The most disgusting candy of
- 2:09:13Speaker 2: all time? Yeah? No, come on, sirkash peanuts. Necho wafers, dude, Yeah,
- 2:09:21Speaker 2: who is talking to us about neco wafers the other day?
- 2:09:24Speaker 18: Was it Ray?
- 2:09:24Speaker 3: I think it was said it's his favorite.
- 2:09:27Speaker 2: Neco wafers are his favorite candy.
- 2:09:29Speaker 4: I think the company made two things, Neco wafers and Sweetheart.
- 2:09:33Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 2:09:34Speaker 2: I looked at him, I said, it's your favorite thing
- 2:09:36Speaker 2: to eat gray, because, man, I'm telling you, necho wafers
- 2:09:42Speaker 2: are like when you eat the chalk.
- 2:09:43Speaker 3: That's exactly what it is, exactly.
- 2:09:45Speaker 2: It is so disgusting. So we had some free step
- 2:09:48Speaker 2: of publics this weekend and chomped down like I used
- 2:09:51Speaker 2: to like going to the Sam's buffet. I would take
- 2:09:52Speaker 2: the kids up on Saturdays and starting around eleven o'clock.
- 2:09:56Speaker 2: You could go in there and get stuffed to the
- 2:09:58Speaker 2: gills with free food, and all of it.
- 2:10:01Speaker 6: Delicious and free. They always tastes extra special when it's free.
- 2:10:05Speaker 2: He does. When that old lady with a hairnet makes it. Yeah,
- 2:10:08Speaker 2: and that weird little sautee pan your grandma had when
- 2:10:10Speaker 2: you were a kid. Then I go, how does it
- 2:10:12Speaker 2: taste so good?
- 2:10:12Speaker 4: Out of that that first five seconds when I I
- 2:10:15Speaker 4: entertained the idea of buying whatever it is they just
- 2:10:17Speaker 4: gave me.
- 2:10:19Speaker 2: I'll never make it that way. And then and then
- 2:10:21Speaker 2: the Sam's buffet you do have like you have the
- 2:10:24Speaker 2: militant sample giver and then you have the very lenient
- 2:10:28Speaker 2: sample giver. Ah, yes, yeah, because if you come up
- 2:10:30Speaker 2: and you'm like, you have my sample, Like, yeah, I
- 2:10:32Speaker 2: got my sample. Come back about ten minutes later, she goes,
- 2:10:34Speaker 2: you already had one. You've already had a sample. Let's
- 2:10:37Speaker 2: save something for the others. I'm like, let's don't save
- 2:10:39Speaker 2: anything for the others. Let's eat it all right now.
- 2:10:44Speaker 2: Four O seven nine one six one four one. Tesla
- 2:10:49Speaker 2: is being sued. That's the one thing I wanted to
- 2:10:50Speaker 2: end up with today. Well, but here's the thing, like
- 2:10:54Speaker 2: so this is a substance over style scenario. Okay, remember
- 2:10:59Speaker 2: we talked about the door handles. Yes, yeah, that's exactly
- 2:11:02Speaker 2: what's going on. The sole survivor of a cyber truck
- 2:11:05Speaker 2: crash is the latest to sue Tesla over their door
- 2:11:08Speaker 2: handle because there was a wreck a twenty twenty four
- 2:11:11Speaker 2: cyber truck crash. The suit of legs that the electronic
- 2:11:14Speaker 2: door handles and hard to find emergency release contributed to
- 2:11:18Speaker 2: the deadliness of the crash. In other words, car crashes
- 2:11:21Speaker 2: catches on fire. Nobody can get into the car to
- 2:11:24Speaker 2: save the person. Yeah, can't find the handle, can't get
- 2:11:26Speaker 2: the handle, the work. It's all based on the electrical
- 2:11:29Speaker 2: system when it's out of when it's out of order,
- 2:11:33Speaker 2: it doesn't work. So you couldn't get them to save them.
- 2:11:38Speaker 2: That Tessa's fault are the people who are dumb enough
- 2:11:41Speaker 2: to buy one of us?
- 2:11:42Speaker 3: Can I tell you j in rare form today, I gotta.
- 2:11:44Speaker 2: Tell you, I'm glad you said it. I'm glad you
- 2:11:46Speaker 2: said it, especially the cyber trucks. It's a total coin
- 2:11:50Speaker 2: flip for me. And then oh, it's such a scam.
- 2:11:54Speaker 2: One got was pulled from the wreckage by a friend
- 2:11:56Speaker 2: who was following in the cyber truck in another car.
- 2:12:00Speaker 2: They said that the one person said they couldn't reach
- 2:12:05Speaker 2: the girl before flames engulfed the truck, so she passed.
- 2:12:08Speaker 4: That's but their regular the sedans as well, they kind
- 2:12:13Speaker 4: of have that that flush you have to walk down
- 2:12:16Speaker 4: with the think the keyfob is what allows it to
- 2:12:19Speaker 4: pop out right.
- 2:12:20Speaker 6: But again, you know we've talked before about Tesla's that
- 2:12:23Speaker 6: if you're backing out of your your garage and the
- 2:12:26Speaker 6: garage door comes down prematurely, the car will think it's
- 2:12:29Speaker 6: been in a crash and it won't allow you to
- 2:12:31Speaker 6: unlock the doors.
- 2:12:32Speaker 2: It says the It says, quote, when you design a
- 2:12:34Speaker 2: vehicle with no mechanical way to open doors from the outside,
- 2:12:37Speaker 2: you are betting the electronics will work in every scenario,
- 2:12:40Speaker 2: including a high speed crash followed by a fire. Yes,
- 2:12:44Speaker 2: one person said someone was there to help immediately, couldn't
- 2:12:47Speaker 2: get in. This lawsuit is about what Tesla knew and
- 2:12:50Speaker 2: what Tesla designed. This guy Miller, who was pulled out
- 2:12:53Speaker 2: of the car, suffered catastrophic injuries five day induced coma,
- 2:12:58Speaker 2: burns to his airways and lungs, four fractured vertebe requiring
- 2:13:02Speaker 2: spinal fusion and third degree burns to his left leg
- 2:13:05Speaker 2: and left hand that required skin grafts. He's twenty, oh
- 2:13:10Speaker 2: my gosh. And the other two in the car were
- 2:13:11Speaker 2: nineteen and twenty, I believe, respectfully.
- 2:13:14Speaker 4: So everybody was like they're doing in a cyber one
- 2:13:16Speaker 4: hundred thousand dollars cyber truck.
- 2:13:18Speaker 2: People out there got money, They're stupid, damn. Yeah, So
- 2:13:22Speaker 2: just kind of interesting. Also, I guess the owner of
- 2:13:25Speaker 2: the cyber truck is also being sued. So not only
- 2:13:29Speaker 2: are is the company being sued, the owner of the
- 2:13:31Speaker 2: truck is being sued as well. Wow, unbelievable, all right
- 2:13:35Speaker 2: for US seven nine one six one four one text
- 2:13:38Speaker 2: us and seven seven zero three one uh. And this
- 2:13:41Speaker 2: last story here about a company man. You know, it's
- 2:13:44Speaker 2: so funny because during COVID we talked about this so much,
- 2:13:46Speaker 2: about the staying at home thing, and of course we
- 2:13:48Speaker 2: know that laws have gone a long way when it
- 2:13:50Speaker 2: comes to people are women who have pregnancies of what
- 2:13:54Speaker 2: they can do to stay home. Now we know it's
- 2:13:55Speaker 2: relatively lenient in some states. Even husbands get to have
- 2:13:58Speaker 2: you know, pad leave when their child is born. They said,
- 2:14:03Speaker 2: it's not it's not the six weeks or eight weeks
- 2:14:06Speaker 2: or twelve weeks or whatever it is that the lady gets.
- 2:14:08Speaker 3: But it is like four.
- 2:14:10Speaker 2: I mean you could take off like a month. I think, well, here,
- 2:14:12Speaker 2: I believe we just had a recent new dad. He
- 2:14:15Speaker 2: was off for two weeks. Two weeks? Yeah, did he
- 2:14:17Speaker 2: just come back earlier? Was that this was that the standard?
- 2:14:19Speaker 2: I think that might be the stand I got snipped.
- 2:14:24Speaker 2: I never investigated. Yeah, this Ohio based company is in bad,
- 2:14:28Speaker 2: bad shape. And here's why. There was a mom that
- 2:14:32Speaker 2: had a high risk pregnancy. She asked to be to
- 2:14:36Speaker 2: work from home. They did not allow her to do that.
- 2:14:41Speaker 2: She went to the doctor to have a check up.
- 2:14:44Speaker 2: The doctor said, look, you need to you need to
- 2:14:46Speaker 2: take it easy. She told their her employer, Hey, look
- 2:14:50Speaker 2: you know the employer's total quality logistics. She said. She said,
- 2:14:56Speaker 2: I want to work from home. They said, no, you
- 2:14:57Speaker 2: got to come in. She comes into work. Four days later.
- 2:15:01Speaker 2: She undergoes an operation on her cervix to prevent her
- 2:15:04Speaker 2: from going into early labor. When they made her come
- 2:15:06Speaker 2: in after that, they said distress and of her walking
- 2:15:12Speaker 2: made her go into labor early and she lost the child.
- 2:15:16Speaker 6: Yeah, normally they keep you in the hospital in a
- 2:15:18Speaker 6: bed with your head tipped toward the ground.
- 2:15:21Speaker 2: She said here she said. The lawsuit states that they
- 2:15:24Speaker 2: presented her an impossible choice. Work at the office and
- 2:15:27Speaker 2: put in an additional strain on her child, or take
- 2:15:29Speaker 2: an unpaid leave of absence and lose the income and
- 2:15:33Speaker 2: health insurance that she needed to have the child to
- 2:15:35Speaker 2: begin with.
- 2:15:36Speaker 6: Well, all that money they saved by having her show
- 2:15:38Speaker 6: up at work, they can now just dole out in
- 2:15:40Speaker 6: a lawsuit.
- 2:15:41Speaker 2: Well, funny enough, you should mention that, because that's exactly
- 2:15:43Speaker 2: what the story is about. She issuing, Right, she's already sued.
- 2:15:48Speaker 2: They've already, they've already issued the money. Oh, according to
- 2:15:50Speaker 2: the lawsuit, they gave she gave birth to a daughter
- 2:15:53Speaker 2: she named Magnolia. It died. The child died I think
- 2:15:57Speaker 2: a few hours later, one hour and thirty minutes later,
- 2:16:02Speaker 2: in her arms did so. She continued to work. Well,
- 2:16:08Speaker 2: what happened was when she had the surgery to make
- 2:16:11Speaker 2: sure that she wasn't gonna have the baby early. That's
- 2:16:14Speaker 2: when she asked for time off. When she said, hey,
- 2:16:16Speaker 2: look can I work from home? They're like, no, you can't.
- 2:16:18Speaker 2: Work from home. She'd already had the surgery. The doctors
- 2:16:21Speaker 2: told her that that going into the job and you're
- 2:16:24Speaker 2: walking and doing all the stuff contributed to the baby
- 2:16:28Speaker 2: coming early and eventually making you know, the eventually killing
- 2:16:32Speaker 2: the child. What do you think? So she did return
- 2:16:37Speaker 2: to work? She did? Yes, So that's why she had
- 2:16:39Speaker 2: because they didn't give her that option. Yeah, they gave
- 2:16:42Speaker 2: her the choice, either you lose your job or you
- 2:16:44Speaker 2: you you stay home without pay and without health benefits,
- 2:16:47Speaker 2: or you've come to work. So they gave her the
- 2:16:49Speaker 2: She had to have the health benefits because that's what
- 2:16:51Speaker 2: she's using to have the baby, ironically.
- 2:16:54Speaker 3: And then she needed the money for the job to
- 2:16:56Speaker 3: help pay for the baby.
- 2:16:57Speaker 4: Didn't have long term disability or sure even short term
- 2:17:01Speaker 4: visub olidia.
- 2:17:01Speaker 2: I would guess what do you think that cost? TQL?
- 2:17:05Speaker 2: The verdict came down, what do you think a five
- 2:17:09Speaker 2: hundred thousand dollars do you think a human life is worth?
- 2:17:11Speaker 17: Oh?
- 2:17:12Speaker 2: Okay, so more a young mom five million.
- 2:17:16Speaker 6: The number twenty eight million popped into my head, probably
- 2:17:18Speaker 6: too hot?
- 2:17:19Speaker 2: Five million?
- 2:17:20Speaker 3: Would you say twenty eight million?
- 2:17:22Speaker 2: Would you say five? Twenty two point five million dollars?
- 2:17:26Speaker 2: Really was the award for this young lady. I mean
- 2:17:28Speaker 2: because she l washes her name.
- 2:17:30Speaker 3: By the way, and her daughter never got a chance
- 2:17:32Speaker 3: to have a life.
- 2:17:33Speaker 2: No, never did see all that money.
- 2:17:36Speaker 3: And now they're going to have to pay it.
- 2:17:37Speaker 2: Right, So stupid, right, so stupid?
- 2:17:39Speaker 3: What what an egregious mistake?
- 2:17:42Speaker 2: Yep, so stupid. And it was like and the thing is,
- 2:17:44Speaker 2: they had no defense, that's zero defense. They it was
- 2:17:47Speaker 2: an indefensible scenario.
- 2:17:49Speaker 3: So imagine how they looked in the courtroom.
- 2:17:52Speaker 4: But I wonder how far that decision got up, Like
- 2:17:56Speaker 4: where in the company was that decision made telling that
- 2:17:59Speaker 4: woman and that she could not work remotely?
- 2:18:02Speaker 3: Well, we'll find out what the people who are fired
- 2:18:04Speaker 3: after this.
- 2:18:06Speaker 4: I mean, could it just be her regional manager or
- 2:18:10Speaker 4: was it that boss? Was it the head of the company.
- 2:18:12Speaker 4: Was everyone at the upper levels of that company aware
- 2:18:16Speaker 4: of the decision being made or the first time they
- 2:18:19Speaker 4: learned about it was when they found out they were
- 2:18:21Speaker 4: being sued.
- 2:18:22Speaker 2: Let me explain how the company looks at it. A
- 2:18:25Speaker 2: TQL spokesperson, Julia Daughtry, a woman, extended connolences to the
- 2:18:31Speaker 2: wash family, but said the company disagrees with the verdict
- 2:18:34Speaker 2: and the way the facts were characterized at trial.
- 2:18:37Speaker 6: Oh, in other words, you look like real poss and
- 2:18:40Speaker 6: now you're like, hey, we're not that good.
- 2:18:42Speaker 2: It says here. This is a heartbreaking outcome for a
- 2:18:44Speaker 2: young family, said one of the lawyers. The evidence showed
- 2:18:47Speaker 2: that Chelsea Walsh was following her doctor's instructions for a
- 2:18:50Speaker 2: high risk pregnancy and simply asked to work for home.
- 2:18:54Speaker 3: It's not like she didn't ask to not work, she said.
- 2:18:56Speaker 2: We are the spokesperson says we are evaluating legal options
- 2:19:00Speaker 2: and remain committed to supporting the health and well being
- 2:19:02Speaker 2: of our employees. There is zero evidence of that exactly.
- 2:19:06Speaker 6: I mean, wow, somebody texted us at seven seven zero
- 2:19:11Speaker 6: three one that Disney gives new dads eight weeks really
- 2:19:14Speaker 6: of child bonding leaps.
- 2:19:15Speaker 2: That's ridiculous.
- 2:19:16Speaker 3: I think that's important for fathers.
- 2:19:20Speaker 2: You know what's gonna happen in that eight weeks, handicap
- 2:19:22Speaker 2: drops playing a lot of golf.
- 2:19:26Speaker 6: Yeah, then pick up your new keys on the way home,
- 2:19:30Speaker 6: and don't let your mother's door hit you in the ass.
- 2:19:33Speaker 6: The incinerator in Leesburg allows for six weeks leave for
- 2:19:36Speaker 6: child really, Yeah.
- 2:19:37Speaker 2: Bobby damn. You know the world's film moves here people,
- 2:19:41Speaker 2: what kind of example resetting Jack? How many weeks would
- 2:19:44Speaker 2: you take off? Forty minutes? Half a week? Jack would
- 2:19:48Speaker 2: have his laptop in the delivery room, you would all right,
- 2:19:50Speaker 2: what do you got for? You heard her first?
- 2:19:52Speaker 6: Well, believe it or not, evacuations are underway on Hawaii's
- 2:19:56Speaker 6: Oahu Island.

- 2:20:00Speaker 2: is forming.
- 2:20:00Speaker 6: And this is after days and day days of rain.
- 2:20:04Speaker 6: We'll tell you why those evacuations are underway. Meanwhile, what

- 2:22:02Speaker 18: up at certain buildings.
- 2:22:03Speaker 2: Yeah, apparently nobody put.

- 2:23:36Speaker 2: Well I'm coming, No you do. I'm telling you to
- 2:23:39Speaker 2: your face.
- 2:23:40Speaker 6: Honestly, I even bought the stamp and put it on there.
- 2:23:44Speaker 6: All they literally have to do is market the card
- 2:23:46Speaker 6: and put it in the mail.
- 2:23:47Speaker 2: No question. Let me ask you a quick question. Don't
- 2:23:50Speaker 2: you love me?
- 2:23:51Speaker 3: I mean, I know you want to be there, but

- 2:24:21Speaker 2: we don't even know if he's going.
- 2:24:22Speaker 6: That's exactly what I was just about to say, Jack.
- 2:24:24Speaker 6: I was about to say, you get your story garden,
- 2:24:26Speaker 6: and I will tell you what to expect.
- 2:24:29Speaker 2: Change the check number immediately. What are we getting?
- 2:24:37Speaker 6: Chris and I are going to be doing some taste
- 2:24:38Speaker 6: testing this weekend, but something with lavender and elder flower.
- 2:24:44Speaker 2: Yeah, you're smart. I'm gonna be honest with you. It's
- 2:24:50Speaker 2: super smart to create a cocktail that is, you know,
- 2:24:54Speaker 2: vodka is more accessible than like.
- 2:24:56Speaker 3: Bourbon, and that you can be learning.
- 2:24:58Speaker 2: Like you know, like the four seven fives of vodka.
- 2:25:01Speaker 2: We'll give everybody a little drink and that's gonna cost you,
- 2:25:03Speaker 2: like you, one hundred and fifty bucks.
- 2:25:04Speaker 6: That's kind of what we're looking at and what we
- 2:25:06Speaker 6: realized that old fashions. I mean, well, it's the bourbon,
- 2:25:10Speaker 6: it's the bitters, it's the cherries. I mean it's an
- 2:25:13Speaker 6: expensive drink. I just happen to have champagne taste on
- 2:25:16Speaker 6: a bottled water budget.
- 2:25:17Speaker 2: Yeah, get some Rotten Good and by Costco for you.
- 2:25:22Speaker 2: How about this one really big bottle of moonshine and
- 2:25:26Speaker 2: a hundred straws.
- 2:25:28Speaker 4: I'm gonna get you Kirkland's Finest vodka. Oh my god,
- 2:25:32Speaker 4: let's make a punch.
- 2:25:32Speaker 3: It would be some kind of like a spritz. Is
- 2:25:34Speaker 3: like what we're looking at.
- 2:25:35Speaker 2: From the stream from the streams of Deltona, from Lake Dora,
- 2:25:45Speaker 2: from the springs of Lake Fairview. Damn it, mail at
- 2:25:50Speaker 2: RSVP back already.
- 2:25:52Speaker 3: Seriously, dude, the stamps already on it. Why what is
- 2:25:56Speaker 3: it gonna be so fast? You know I'm coming, buddy.
- 2:26:00Speaker 2: Let's say what's happening? My god, I'll drop it off tomorrow.
- 2:26:03Speaker 2: Oh I'm gonna drop it off tomorrow. Before you know.
- 2:26:07Speaker 2: This thing is like tomorrow, this wedding, Jack, shut it,
- 2:26:13Speaker 2: to shut it, don't don't you do it.
- 2:26:16Speaker 10: Don't you do it.
- 2:26:17Speaker 2: Don't you do it? Don't play white. Don't play white
- 2:26:19Speaker 2: wedding because we know it's five weeks from tomorrow. Five
- 2:26:23Speaker 2: weeks from tomorrow, like no time. Laugh, Oh my god,
- 2:26:26Speaker 2: you got time to run it? All right? Let's do
- 2:26:29Speaker 2: you hear first time you heard it here? First run
- 2:26:34Speaker 2: into the show. You run from that dud. You're an idiot,
- 2:26:36Speaker 2: I know, seriously, right, an idiot? All right, he takes
- 2:26:40Speaker 2: your crap. You should. You should leach yourself to him,
- 2:26:44Speaker 2: have yourself surgically attached.
- 2:26:45Speaker 6: I'm gonna make sure he is there on Saturday, April
- 2:26:48Speaker 6: twenty fifth, all right. Unfortunately, evacuation orders are in place
- 2:26:52Speaker 6: for Hawaii's Oahu Island over fears of an impending damn failure.
- 2:26:56Speaker 6: Hawaii Governor Josh Green says he's activated the NASH guard
- 2:27:00Speaker 6: the dam, which.
- 2:27:01Speaker 5: Has been safe.
- 2:27:02Speaker 2: I was getting close to eighty five feet.
- 2:27:04Speaker 10: That's why we sounded the alarms and made sure people
- 2:27:06Speaker 10: could get over out of harm's way.
- 2:27:08Speaker 6: The Honolulu Department of Emergency Management warned the dam could
- 2:27:12Speaker 6: collapse quote or breach at any time end quote, and
- 2:27:15Speaker 6: residents along the northwest shore should evacuate immediately. For those
- 2:27:19Speaker 6: who don't know, there's been widespread flooding in the region
- 2:27:22Speaker 6: due to a subtropical cyclone known as a Kona Storm,
- 2:27:26Speaker 6: and unfortunately more rain is in the forecast.
- 2:27:29Speaker 3: They've just been getting slammed.
- 2:27:30Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 2:27:30Speaker 2: I saw the reports today that they're expecting another giant
- 2:27:33Speaker 2: storm to come over the island chain in the next
- 2:27:35Speaker 2: few days.
- 2:27:35Speaker 3: And it's the whole island sho been getting smacked all right.
