Medved Gets Extension Amid Challenges | Minnesota Golden Gophers Basketball News
Niko Medved just got a one-year contract extension with Minnesota, bumping his salary by $100K and keeping him through the 2031-32 season — a move signaling the Gophers’ faith in his leadership despite a tough first year marked by injuries and an 8-12 Big Ten record. With deep ties to the program and 14 years of head coaching experience, Medved’s pay now ranks 17th among Big Ten coaches — a quiet nod to the value the university places on his vision and the progress they’re building together.
