- 0:00Bubba bound bound bank or management fantasy hockey
- 0:02podcast. Whoa, whoa.
- 0:06Will from Japan. Korea, actually.
- 0:10Oh, really? Yeah, they're they're in Seoul
- 0:12right now. Oh, wow.
- 0:14By day I mean Jackie and his girlfriend.
- 0:17Because yeah, I mean, listen, guys, for the next two or three
- 0:22weeks, it's going to be a duel on the Bangor management team.
- 0:25Jackie has a band that does. He's pursuing a karaoke career
- 0:28in Korea, so when that doesn't work out, inevitably he'll be
- 0:34back. But no, he's visiting a friend
- 0:37for a wedding and then they're having a little vacation there.
- 0:40So in the meantime, you got the two best anger management hosts
- 0:42here to keep you company. And as that is said, welcome to
- 0:48Bangor Management, the Fantasy Hockey Podcast with Kevin and
- 0:51Josh and Jakey. In spirit.
- 0:55In spirit, but not forgotten. And today we're going to be
- 1:00covering our week 11 waiver wire targets and streamers.
- 1:04It's going to be a great episode.
- 1:06Um, listen guys, we've had some we're recording this the weekend
- 1:11of the Quinn Hughes trade. So we're going to go in depth in
- 1:14that on the episodes that could be coming out this upcoming week
- 1:18in the news and the hot topics and everything.
- 1:20But Stuart Skinner getting traded and Queen?
- 1:23He was getting traded on the same day in December.
- 1:25Friday in December, it's crazy. Well, I mean, I was reading
- 1:28about it and I think it's because there's like a roster
- 1:30freeze coming up for the for the Olympic Brazil roster for the
- 1:33holidays, I guess. And then there's also the
- 1:35Olympic break and all that stuff.
- 1:37And I think that's why like GMOs are like panicking, like I can't
- 1:40make any moves for. So it's like a mini trade
- 1:42deadline. I think this is gonna be another
- 1:43one of those years where the trade deadline is disappointing
- 1:45because all the trades get done beforehand, which sucks because
- 1:48I used to love, you know, like tuning in for the trade deadline
- 1:51and you watch all the trades come in and that was all just
- 1:53like this 4th liner got traded for a sixth round pick and
- 1:56you're like, OK, cool. You know, how's this gonna
- 1:58affect my fantasy team, you know?
- 1:59But yeah, so. So this is crazy.
- 2:01I don't want to get into it too much, unfortunately, because we
- 2:04have a news episode just for that, so we'll leave it at that.
- 2:08But some crazy, crazy stuff happened last night, and it
- 2:10definitely has the hockey and fantasy hockey world Jarred.
- 2:15I mean, if I might. Oh, that's.
- 2:18Good. I just have to give my immediate
- 2:20quick thoughts. Yeah, feel like anybody exposed
- 2:22to that, you know, Minnesota Power Player 1 gets better.
- 2:25Like off the bat, that's like. Kaprizov, Ericsson Neck,
- 2:28Zuccarello when healthy, Boldy and now Quinn Hughes.
- 2:32It just feels like that's gonna be, they were already a top five
- 2:35unit performing that way as of late.
- 2:37So I feel like now it's just they're going to be cemented,
- 2:41Um, for Rockstar sucks. Vancouver is bad guys for Rossi.
- 2:47I feel like his deployment. I was answering a couple
- 2:50questions. The discord is like, I feel like
- 2:51he's gonna be like a line to see PP one most likely, and people
- 2:55wanna feel like it's not even guaranteed.
- 2:57But I feel like you're most likely ends there because he's
- 2:59kind of like the main piece that they traded for and this boolean
- 3:03get P1 off the bat. I'm not sure, like they've had
- 3:06Veronic there before, like he's, you know, replaced walk Quinn
- 3:08Hughes has been hurt in the past, so I would not be
- 3:11surprised if they just roll with him there.
- 3:12Like William wasn't even guaranteed people one on
- 3:14Minnesota and they needed a power back back as well, so.
- 3:17Yeah, I'm not. Rushing still young?
- 3:20Yeah, yeah. So we'll see if he gets people
- 3:23one I'll be interested but I can't imagine how good that PPL
- 3:28probably points unit is going to be moving forward so.
- 3:31For sure. And also it's just a way worse
- 3:35power play than Minnesota's and he was power play one
- 3:37quarterback on Minnesota for on and off throughout the season
- 3:40and didn't do much with it. So I don't know why people are,
- 3:42you know, I mean, any change of scenery, you, you know, you jump
- 3:45on that. But I don't know why people are
- 3:47super excited. But I'd love for him to prove me
- 3:49wrong. No, not super excited, but like
- 3:52intrigued as the good, yeah, I think.
- 3:54Yeah, that is a great word. And quick, quick thoughts on
- 3:57Steward Skinner and Tristan Jarry, because this was, I mean,
- 4:00this one bothered me because it was like they kept telling us
- 4:03something. They were like, we're not making
- 4:04a trade unless it's a clear upgrade, Yeah, and whatever,
- 4:07blah, blah. And then he made the only trade.
- 4:08That's like, not a clear upgrade.
- 4:10It's crazy. I mean first initial thoughts in
- 4:13terms of real hockey is Penguins fleeced.
- 4:15Edmonton makes absolutely no sense in terms of the one for
- 4:18one. Like Edmonton traded A goalie
- 4:21who's pretty much the same skill but as higher upside, He's
- 4:25younger and he's paid less. They traded for Yeah, they trade
- 4:30him for a guy who has two more years on his contract, paid
- 4:32more, was on waivers a few weeks ago and has a huge injury risk.
- 4:38Mr. Yeah, and in addition to that, in addition to that, they
- 4:42had to throw in Brett Kulak, who's a very solid defenseman,
- 4:45and they had to throw in what was the second round, second
- 4:47round pick. That's absolutely absurd.
- 4:49Like, honestly, like someone take the phone away from Bowman
- 4:51and put him in a retirement home.
- 4:52Honestly. Like it's disgusting.
- 4:55It's actually just unbelievable. And yeah, so it sucks.
- 4:58And but look, all that to be said, I could see, I could see
- 5:03Jerry doing well in Edmonton. And we lost Kevin for a second
- 5:08to technical issues, and this is a lot worse than when it's the
- 5:11three of us. And I could at least keep
- 5:12talking with Jake because Kevin tips it's just me.
- 5:16But anyways, I could see, I could see Jari actually doing
- 5:20so. I mean, he's been solid, right?
- 5:21So it feels like an inevitable one of the wheels gonna fall
- 5:24off. But if the wheels can get you to
- 5:25the finish line and then they fall off for the next two years,
- 5:28then everyone's happy. So look, I think it's a bad
- 5:30trade for Edmonton. I don't really see why they did
- 5:33it, especially because Skinner actually was playing well
- 5:35lately. But we'll see what happens for
- 5:38both goalies. I don't think they're fantasy
- 5:40value has changed that much. I think Edmondson's a team that
- 5:45should get more wins than Pittsburgh, but as worse
- 5:46defence. So it's kind of like, you know,
- 5:49which one do you prefer? Like do you prefer getting the
- 5:51Dubs but getting more goals against?
- 5:53Like who knows? So I'm not rushing to
- 5:55necessarily pick up either of these goalies.
- 5:58I mean, The thing is like, Jerry's been good, so.
- 6:04But I feel like you should already be taken at this point.
- 6:06So yeah, I don't know. It's the intrigue, like you
- 6:09said, with the other one, right? It's change of scenery.
- 6:11Maybe that makes these both these guys better.
- 6:13We'll see what happens. It's too early to tell, but it
- 6:16feels kind of like a lateral move for in terms of actual like
- 6:19this year product. I like both are both are worth
- 6:22picking up because of the new situation and like you know when
- 6:24you acquire player from trade, it's you wanna play them, Yeah.
- 6:27So sorry there was picking up, but like I wouldn't drop an
- 6:30established guy on your team. Yeah, makes sense.
- 6:33Like I know like like in a popular one who everyone wants
- 6:35to drop these days to cord because he's been absolutely
- 6:37awful. Mark, I'm not dropping.
- 6:39Yeah, that's tough. That's the cord.
- 6:42I'm not dropping for either of these guys.
- 6:44But Markstrom and I know New Jersey is supposed to be a way
- 6:48better team than Seattle, but they've been so bad and Alan
- 6:51like stealing some starts. I could see, actually I could
- 6:53see dropping marks from for these guys.
- 6:55Yeah, I just feel like that's a similar theory enough that even
- 6:57when Marshall's playing on all cylinders, like he'll just be
- 6:59maybe be just as good as one of these guys that's healthy.
- 7:02Yeah. So, yeah.
- 7:04All right, let's get into the Week 11 streamers.
- 7:08We're going to talk about our Week 10 choices 1st.
- 7:10And right before we get into it, if you've made it this far, we
- 7:13really appreciate it. I'm just going to shout out,
- 7:15follow the podcast, Spotify, Apple Podcast.
- 7:18If you're listening and you're not followed, drop us a follow.
- 7:21So every time we drop a new episode you'll be notified.
- 7:23Really helps us out. If you're watching on YouTube,
- 7:26leave a like drop a comment rate, say 5 stars in the
- 7:29comments. We've been saying since the
- 7:30beginning. Yeah, and that's funny with all
- 7:34that. Is that like I totally get why
- 7:36people don't do it. It's not like it's not like a
- 7:39malicious thing or anything like that.
- 7:40It's just like you don't think of it right.
- 7:42And like, no, not the like the likes and the and the scribe,
- 7:45you know, because like it's actually kind of embarrassing,
- 7:48but like I'll watch like our our videos right on like my personal
- 7:51YouTube account. And only recently I was like,
- 7:52wait, I should be like, so you know what, I fully understand.
- 7:58I fully understand if the viewers haven't been.
- 8:00But like, if you make the conscious effort, you know, you
- 8:02just get into the video, you just press that like button
- 8:04super easy. And it does, you know, help us a
- 8:07lot. So.
- 8:08So yeah, but I totally get why people don't do it.
- 8:11I know I wasn't doing it for a bit.
- 8:12It's just you don't think about it, you know?
- 8:14Two, enthralled with the fantasy content.
- 8:16Honestly, I'm just like, let's get into this, you know, I don't
- 8:18wanna waste time pressing that like button.
- 8:20But yeah, no, it's, it's great. And last thing, if you're not in
- 8:23the discord community, you should be.
- 8:25If you don't know what words is, just like it's like an app, like
- 8:27a platform where the anger management community is.
- 8:30So if you wanna join the community, there's a link in
- 8:33everywhere. We are on all the socials in the
- 8:36podcast description here. You click on that link.
- 8:38If you don't have an account, just make an account, join and
- 8:40you're set up. Then you get to talk with
- 8:42everybody else that's in the community there.
- 8:43We're approaching 200 people in there.
- 8:45So that's pretty cool. And we're talking trade start,
- 8:48Sid questions, roster construction questions.
- 8:50It's actually not. All that good fun, all that good
- 8:53stuff. Before we started this pod right
- 8:55and I was looking for don't like, you know, fantasy like
- 8:58contents to to have. I would have killed for like a
- 9:01discord like this, like it's actually so valuable, like it's
- 9:04just you're getting immediate answers to your trade questions,
- 9:06getting immediate answers to like your sit start like
- 9:08everything we're sharing like people are actually turning on
- 9:11notifications for our breaking news channel because we share
- 9:14stuff like right as it happens and you know and that's a big
- 9:17deal when you're like almost 200 person Lena discord usually mute
- 9:20that chat and then you just check it on your own time.
- 9:22But the fact that people have notifications on for that is
- 9:24like, you know, it's a big deal. Anyways, it's a great place to
- 9:27be. But let's get into our what the
- 9:28people want to hear. You know, let's get into the
- 9:30Week 11 streamers. Josh, give us a quick rundown
- 9:33about the Week 10 choices from last.
- 9:35Week. So let's get into the week 10
- 9:36choices. Last week we started with
- 9:38Patrick Kane. It's actually crazy like I don't
- 9:41know how much pull we have right, but I own Patrick Kane in
- 9:46our league. Before we released our episode
- 9:48recommending Patrick Kane, he was I think 36% rostered and now
- 9:53he's like 51% rostered. I'm not saying that was all us,
- 9:56but but like, it's, you know, either we caused it or we're
- 10:01geniuses and predicted it or both.
- 10:04I think both. But yeah, exactly.
- 10:06Anyways, this is a huge W mean. Anyone could have seen that
- 10:08coming. One goal to assist, 3 points and
- 10:11still has more hockey to play this week.
- 10:13I will say it's a bit like for for our 1L this week that I'll
- 10:16get to in a second. It's a bit tough because we
- 10:19record on Saturdays and so I take it from the last Saturday
- 10:23we recorded to when we're recording now, but there's still
- 10:26some hockey we played this week. So but anyway, I'll get into
- 10:29that like so Patrick Kane, Big W and we had Josh Norris zero
- 10:32goals, 2 assists, 2 points injured unsurprisingly, but it's
- 10:35only an illness so he'll be back for a couple games before the
- 10:37next. One, that's super misleading.
- 10:39He was, he was sick, guys. He was sick.
- 10:41OK, probably sick of being healthy You.
- 10:43Know he's still sick. Yeah, no, so, but I mean, he got
- 10:492 points in the game, see that he's played so far.
- 10:50So that's still at W and, uh, and it's only day-to-day so.
- 10:54But I think we might have to stop recommending Norris in our
- 10:56top three just because of the squishiness. 40% I'm still going
- 10:59to keep. Commanding them.
- 11:01I mean, there's two games he's we're still gonna keep
- 11:03recommending him, but like maybe not in the top three because we
- 11:05keep every time we do he gets injured.
- 11:07But but yeah, so that was another dub and then we had Owen
- 11:10Tippett zero goals, one assist, one point.
- 11:12I'm counting that as an L. But fact is he still has two
- 11:14more games to play this week, which is one of the reasons we
- 11:16had recommended him was the four-game week.
- 11:17So I think that could turn into a dub over the course of the
- 11:20next two days. But look, we gotta be extra
- 11:22honest with our with our fans. I'm gonna count as an L so far.
- 11:25So that puts us at 18 and six on the season.
- 11:27That's still a pretty unreal. I think that's a 75% how
- 11:31winstreak, which is pretty, pretty hype.
- 11:33But let's get into week 11. So there are no two game teams
- 11:36this week. This is actually a pretty crazy
- 11:37week where I think like half the league plays four times.
- 11:40I'll shout out one. I know it's crazy because the
- 11:43week after that every team plays like 2 times.
- 11:45So it's like it's weird, but I mean it's the holidays, so
- 11:48there's that. But I will shout out 15 game
- 11:51team, which is their New York Rangers.
- 11:52So it's very rare that you have a 580.
- 11:55It literally has to be Monday, Tuesday and then you go to
- 11:57Thursday and then you go to Saturday, Sunday.
- 12:00So that's the only possible configuration I think of A5 game
- 12:03week so. I will say the only, the only
- 12:07shout out that I think is widely available for the Rangers that I
- 12:09would recommend picking up because I don't think there's
- 12:11gonna be any Rangers on our on our top ten list, given that
- 12:14there are also highly rostered, but Alexis Lafreniere.
- 12:17Yeah, I was. Gonna just got bumped up to line
- 12:191 instead of a Will Cooley and they're not running.
- 12:22Yeah, exactly. And no, sorry, that's what I
- 12:24meant. Power play 1 instead of Will and
- 12:26they're not running any power play 1 defenseman on there.
- 12:29So it's just five forward because the manager is running
- 12:31the point. Listen, this is subject to
- 12:33change. We've seen them fiddle with this
- 12:34multiple times already. But if he keeps that spot and
- 12:37you're entering a week where he plays five times, like I, I
- 12:41couldn't see myself taking the chance on him given like, you
- 12:44know what he's supposed to be. And yeah, he's been a massive
- 12:46disappointment this season. But that's one of the widely
- 12:48available names that I would say no.
- 12:50Absolutely. He's not in our top stream, but
- 12:53he's definitely is. I think a noteworthy put him as
- 12:57like an honorable mention, just the schedule.
- 12:58Honestly, if it wasn't for the schedule, he I wouldn't be
- 13:01mentioning about five games. You kind of have to streaming
- 13:03guy like that, so that is a great mention a busy night or
- 13:06Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday as always and there's just so many
- 13:09four-game teams and two off 9 teams.
- 13:10I'm not going to get into them. So let's dive into our top ten
- 13:13points guys for. This week's small profile, so
- 13:17all these guys were about to mention are less than 40% owned,
- 13:20of course. So if there's a guy on your
- 13:22waiver that's more than 40% owned in your league, we're not
- 13:24going to be talking about them. They might be better than the
- 13:26guys we're recommending on this list.
- 13:28I mean, so they probably are if they're higher owns, right, so.
- 13:31If you're looking at 10 team league or an 8 team league and
- 13:33you're listening to this. So you're like, oh, I'm gonna go
- 13:35pick up, you know the guy that they mentioned #3 like we, we
- 13:38love this guy, but that does not mean it is not better guys
- 13:41available for you specifically in your league.
- 13:43So just do your due diligence. If you have any questions or any
- 13:46doubts, honestly, join the discord, shoot us a message
- 13:48there, we'll answer you. So we can like make these tie
- 13:51breaking decisions for you. But I just wanted to make a pre
- 13:54phase because I saw people like 2 weeks ago pick up Bolduc when
- 13:57we recommended him. And that ended up being one of
- 13:59our worst recommendations because he got demoted right
- 14:03away on four-game week. Played 7 minutes, one team.
- 14:05Yeah. And the person was like, in A10
- 14:07team league. And I was just like, man, like,
- 14:09you picked up Bull Duke. But there was guys like, you
- 14:11know, Dylan Cousins available type of thing, you know what I
- 14:14mean? So it's like, just make sure
- 14:15you're making the right. Decision Discord and if you're
- 14:18in a shallower league, just shoot us a message on the
- 14:21discord, you know like honestly, like people have just been
- 14:23sending screenshots of their waivers and we'll just use their
- 14:25guys for them so so yeah, that's definitely in deeper leagues.
- 14:29This is the place to be. Let's start with our. #10.
- 14:33Nice at #10 We've got Pavel Zacha of the Boston Bruins on
- 14:37this list. I think there's a couple team
- 14:39repeats. So Boston.
- 14:40I think there's gonna be another one coming up, but we'll start
- 14:43the because they have a four-game week.
- 14:44So line 2 power play 1, four-game week.
- 14:47Look, he's not the most flashy name.
- 14:48He's definitely a lot more exciting in a face off wins
- 14:51league because he gets face off wins from a winger position.
- 14:54But .71 points per game on the season, .35 power play points
- 14:58per game of the season. The Boston power plays ranked
- 15:004th in the league. And it's actually funny because
- 15:02I'm talking with you Kevin about it.
- 15:04Before the season we were talking like around where we
- 15:06were. It was like was passed.
- 15:07It was like a debate of like do we grab him?
- 15:08You know? And we were like how?
- 15:10But I feel like the power play is gonna be so bad this year and
- 15:13compared to some of those other top tier guys and meanwhile they
- 15:15come out and they're just killing it.
- 15:17You look at all these like Boston guys on that powerful
- 15:18unit, they're almost like .4 powerful points per game.
- 15:21And it's it's kind of not sustainable.
- 15:24It definitely feels unsustainable.
- 15:26But on a four-game week like this, I'm definitely interested
- 15:28in grabbing a guy like Zaka. Yeah, he doesn't have the
- 15:31highest peripheral category coverage, but yet he's always
- 15:34exposed to it. The highest talent on this team,
- 15:36like Line 2C, they don't have as much wigger debt, let's say, but
- 15:40being on that P1 and you know, it's top five unit right now. 4
- 15:43game week, great stream. Yeah.
- 15:46And I mean, right now, I think last game they had finally
- 15:50combined their top line of Pastikan, Elyse Lindholm.
- 15:53But for a while they were, they wanted to pass them Geeky
- 15:57separate because they wanted like spread out the wealth among
- 15:59the top 6. So if they do that again, then
- 16:01Zach is gonna be playing with one of the two.
- 16:03And they're both unreal this year.
- 16:04I mean, past obviously, but like Geeky is freaking sick.
- 16:07So that definitely helps even strength.
- 16:09Regardless, the power play and four-game week is enough to grab
- 16:12him. But let's go to the next one,
- 16:14number 9 and #9 we've got Anton Lindell kind of like a staple on
- 16:19this top ten. He's always hovering around like
- 16:2137% owned, so we always have to mention him.
- 16:23He's currently line one power play 2 Um, but we saw him be
- 16:26power play one for big stretches of the year and we'll see he
- 16:30could get it back. I mean Ben, it's been pretty
- 16:32sick lately, so that might that might cost him power play one.
- 16:36But regardless, he's still line 1 centre on Florida.
- 16:40He's been playing unreal this year with the Barkov's absence,
- 16:42as we mentioned every single week when we talk about him.
- 16:45It's a four-game week for Florida, so it feels like a no
- 16:47brainer to grab him. Yeah, absolutely.
- 16:50And there's an argument for Lundell being higher on this
- 16:52list. It's just a power play 1
- 16:54demotion. Yeah, really hurts his value.
- 16:56But let's say, you know, Azure listening to this, he's
- 16:59practicing on P1 again. Like I jumped up significantly.
- 17:02Like, he's probably like a top three at this point.
- 17:04So that's a big. Difference.
- 17:06So we're taking that into account here and we're putting
- 17:09them lower on the list. And also like, yeah, we're going
- 17:10through a top ten, but that doesn't mean like #8 is
- 17:13significantly better than #9 or #10.
- 17:15Like there's definitely tiers to this, but it's also like these
- 17:17are mostly just the names that we want you guys to be aware of
- 17:20who fits your schedule better depending on the off nights and
- 17:23yeah, and what you need position wise and everything.
- 17:25But these are the main names you should look out for.
- 17:27Anton Lundell's up there. I think he I think he gets back
- 17:30PP one eventually and with the Matthew could check coming back
- 17:35in the in the near future. I think this Florida team is
- 17:38getting ready to go on a run and I want to expose to their best
- 17:41centre so. 100% OK, let's go to #8 great.
- 17:49We've got Luke Evangelista of the Nashville Predators.
- 17:52Spoiler, there's gonna be 3 national Predators on this list
- 17:55because they've just been, they've just been unreal and
- 17:57that's crazy because they suck, you know?
- 17:59But they. Have really good lately and.
- 18:00They've been really good lately and they're on a four-game week
- 18:03eventually, says Line on power play 2.
- 18:05What makes some really interesting is his shots and on
- 18:07the season it's only like 2.2, but like over the past month
- 18:10he's been shooting a ton. He's got .8 points per game on
- 18:14the season, which is super, super interesting and he's only
- 18:17shooting at a 6% shooting percentage.
- 18:19So you kind of feel like there's more more more to be potential.
- 18:23Yeah, exactly there for points. So main reason he's this low on
- 18:26the list is the P2. But I really like him as a
- 18:30player and I like what National's been doing lately.
- 18:34I mean it helps when they get play against Saint Louis.
- 18:36St. Louis is a free touchdown for
- 18:37like any team it seems like. So that definitely helps pad the
- 18:40numbers. But but I still 4 game week and
- 18:43just putting up points and shots.
- 18:44So definitely an interesting ad. Yeah, he's been on fire.
- 18:47If you look at the game log like the the points are there, right?
- 18:49And that's kind of like, OK, put sirens in your head being like,
- 18:53OK, this guy, I need to keep an eye on him.
- 18:54So on a week like this where he's playing four times, if he
- 18:57got PA 1 exposure, honestly, like he may be a sick pickup
- 19:02because he was a highly touted prospect, you know, one of the
- 19:05young players on Nashville that we were expecting more from this
- 19:08season and that needs to do more for Nashville to not be like a
- 19:11dumpster fire. So we're starting to see
- 19:13glimpses of it. I think it feels inevitable
- 19:15until ESP one, especially once they probably start getting some
- 19:17of their events to contending teams 100%.
- 19:20So with that, let's get into #7. Yeah, talking about guys who
- 19:25need to play well to prevent Nashville from being a dumpster
- 19:27fire. We've got Steven Stamkos.
- 19:30Yes, we are recommending a Steven Stamkos pickup in the
- 19:34year of our Lord 2025. I know I'm the biggest Stamkos
- 19:39hater and I don't think I don't think this is a long term
- 19:41pickup. I know people are like getting
- 19:43like he woke up whatever, you know, he's lying one power play
- 19:46one. But I mean, he's been that
- 19:47deployment since being in that's nothing new.
- 19:49They have that four-game week and he's coming off a four goal
- 19:52game, four goals. So what year is this?
- 19:56I know it's crazy and he's been shooting a lot.
- 19:59He's like definitely seems like he's woken up a little bit.
- 20:02Like I said, I still don't believe in this as a long term
- 20:04season pick up. So I don't think this is the
- 20:07solution to all of your teams woes.
- 20:09But it's hard not to pick up a guy on a four-game.
- 20:11We could just put up four goals. I mean, it's, it's pretty, it's
- 20:14as simple as that, especially with his kind of like pedigree
- 20:17and who he's been in the past. O definitely an interesting pick
- 20:20up for the week. Yeah, I mean, listen, you, I
- 20:24don't think you'll find bigger Stamkos haters than the two of
- 20:26us. But listen, you, you, you can't,
- 20:30you can't fault what's happening on the ice and what we're seeing
- 20:33in the stat sheet. So while somebody's putting up
- 20:35these numbers, they're worth a stream.
- 20:36And that's why we're recommending Steven Stamkos.
- 20:38Yeah. But yeah, you gotta take into
- 20:42account that I'm not picking him up, being like, OK, now I got,
- 20:45you know, Steven Stamkos of old and you have the money roster
- 20:48too long because you're committed.
- 20:50You saw you scored four goals in one game.
- 20:52They're just like still holding on to that.
- 20:53Like as soon as you start slowing down guys, I'm cutting
- 20:55him and moving. Absolutely, Absolutely.
- 20:58Speaking and moving on Number. Six nice.
- 21:03At number six, we have John Klingberg of the San Jose Sharks
- 21:07line. One power play, one only three
- 21:08games this week. The reason we're highlighting
- 21:11him, he has five points in the last three games.
- 21:12Seems like he's kind of cemented his spot back in the lineup and
- 21:16on power play 1. Like the Klingberg is such a not
- 21:20inconsistent guy, right? Like he he'll go on like
- 21:23stretches of like putting up points and then he'll be garbage
- 21:25and get scratched and be demoted and then he'll come back.
- 21:27So again, this is another one that's like definitely not a
- 21:29season long hold, but a guy has five points in three games from
- 21:33a defenseman. So I wanted to toss ad on this
- 21:35on this list. It's definitely an interesting
- 21:37stream for the week. Yeah, I mean listen with
- 21:40Climber, I feel like you always have to pay attention to what is
- 21:42deployment is because I feel like every other game is Dmitri
- 21:44or love taking his spot on P1. If that's the case, I do not
- 21:47want exposure to him. Yeah, but as of right now he's
- 21:50there and he's playing well. And if you need a deep, I think
- 21:54there's there's worse options this week, so.
- 21:57Absolutely. All right, let's go to.
- 22:01The voice cracking can't keep up with the.
- 22:02Number gonna say. I'm good now.
- 22:05OK, let's get into #5. Wow, that's like your best 1
- 22:10yet. You know what it?
- 22:11Is killing it. Alright, We've and #5 we've got
- 22:14Matt Coronado of the Calgary Flames line.
- 22:17One power play, one only three-game week, but I've really
- 22:19been liking what Coronado has been doing.
- 22:20The pillar of why I would like him on my team is the shots on
- 22:24goal. That's like the floor of like 3
- 22:26plus shots per game. He just shoots.
- 22:29Unreal, like my team currently with all the trades I've made
- 22:32whatever like I'm looking for shots on goal guys and like I'm
- 22:35looking on waivers and there's no one who cracks even like 2.5.
- 22:38And then you get a guy like Coronado who's available in most
- 22:41leagues and he's getting like some games like 7 shots.
- 22:44So that's the baseline. He's got the line 1 powerfully
- 22:47on deployment. You follow that money he got
- 22:49paid in the offseason and he's been putting up points lately.
- 22:51So all that put together makes a guy who this I think has has a
- 22:55season long hold potential actually.
- 22:57So I like Coronado a lot for this week and I like him as a as
- 23:00it holds to like round out your roster in deeper.
- 23:02Leagues yeah do you want the only downside to him it feels
- 23:05like he's he's on one of the worst power plays in the league,
- 23:08which is always truly unfortunate and the only has
- 23:11three games compared to most of these guys on this on this list
- 23:14who have four games. So but he might have the highest
- 23:17potential out of anybody here in terms of you know being a long
- 23:20term stay on your roster. I I still have you know in terms
- 23:24of like talking about long term longevity for Coronado.
- 23:28I feel like I'm still on, I'm still a little bit of a skeptic
- 23:32just because of how good the team is.
- 23:34I think it's not that good. So yeah, exactly.
- 23:38It's pretty much it's pretty. Bad.
- 23:39So I guess like the way I see it is I don't expect him to be like
- 23:44crazy for points, right? Like he'll be like between
- 23:46points 7 I feel like is a pretty reasonable like spot for him.
- 23:50But if he's getting you like 3.5 shots a game with like .65
- 23:54points, I'm super happy to have that as like rounding out my
- 23:57roster. I.
- 23:58Think he's way more valuable in categories leagues yeah and then
- 24:02points leagues or? Points that give a lot of value
- 24:04to shots. Yeah, exactly.
- 24:06Which I feel usually for points things it's like .5 or .1
- 24:09depending on the platform that you're playing on.
- 24:11Yeah, but I think categories is way more valuable.
- 24:16Yeah. And pretty much just focusing on
- 24:18the shots on that's what he brings to the table and he
- 24:20points is just it's just a bonus.
- 24:23All right #4. Alright, I put him out of the
- 24:27top three because I didn't want to curse him.
- 24:28I felt bad for Kevin. So I was like, maybe if we don't
- 24:31mention in our top three, he won't get injured this week.
- 24:33So you're welcome. So you've got Josh Norris of the
- 24:37Buffalo Sabres line on power play one.
- 24:39He's currently day-to-day, but it's an illness, not an injury,
- 24:41so should be back for next week. The numbers he's putting up are
- 24:45just unreal. I mean, like if it wasn't for
- 24:47all the injury stuff, this guy would be like 80% owned, you
- 24:50know. So that's why we have to keep
- 24:52mentioning him even though he keeps getting injured.
- 24:54It's just when he's playing, he's on fire.
- 24:57The points, the power play points, he's averaging .8 power
- 25:00play points per game, 1.4 points per game, 2.3 shots.
- 25:03He's getting face off wins, he's getting hits.
- 25:05It's just it's the health. So fact is if you can pick him
- 25:09up for the week and you know, in the back of your mind is a
- 25:11chance he gets injured. But like if he doesn't get
- 25:13injured, he's getting you like 2 points per game in a power play
- 25:16point. So I'm really happy with with
- 25:18grabbing Norris and just hoping he can stay healthy.
- 25:21Literally from returning from injury.
- 25:23He's averaging a power play point per game.
- 25:27That's nuts. I we won't listen, we won't
- 25:30highlight them on the Buy Low, Sell High episode that's coming
- 25:33out tomorrow. But if you have Josh Norris, I'm
- 25:37definitely looking at opportunities to sell him it.
- 25:40It's tough because he has the reputation of being squishy.
- 25:42He has been squishy, but on the ice this season he's been
- 25:46exceptional. So you're looking at the numbers
- 25:48like they're so high right now that maybe you can use that with
- 25:50some pull and being like away from the come back from his
- 25:52sickness, have a game and then see what you can get.
- 25:56But yeah, I also just think that he's an exceptional player when
- 26:01he's healthy. He's has top exposure on this
- 26:04team. I'm really excited to have him
- 26:06on my roster, my categories league.
- 26:07So yeah, he could be on yours too if you pick him up.
- 26:10Exactly. You could be just like heaven,
- 26:12yes. We're in this together.
- 26:15Guys alright, let's go to #3 at #3 another surprising name, Ryan
- 26:22O'Reilly of the National Predators.
- 26:24That's the third Nashville guy we're recommending this week.
- 26:26I know it's crazy but they've just been on fire 4 game week as
- 26:30well, which is why I feel comfortable recommending so many
- 26:32of them. But he's over the past month
- 26:34he's at .83 points per game. He does have the best category
- 26:37coverage unless you're in a face off win league, in which case
- 26:39will win you a ton of faceoffs. But it's just Nashville seems to
- 26:43be popping off offensively lately and that four-game week
- 26:46combined with the hot streak again, like if you're on a face
- 26:49off 1 league, I don't see this as a season long hold.
- 26:51But for this week, Colorado, that would be nuts.
- 26:57I do think that, like, a lot of these national vets should get
- 27:01traded. I don't know if Barry Trotz will
- 27:03make the right choice, but I think a lot of them should and
- 27:06probably will get traded. But we've talked about this in
- 27:08the past, right? You can't pick up a guy and just
- 27:09hold him through the, like, Lowe's and just hope he gets
- 27:12traded. That's kind of what I'm doing
- 27:13with Dougie Hamilton. But but yeah, like, you can't
- 27:16really do that. But anyways, for this week 4
- 27:18game week, he's on a hot streak so I definitely feel happy
- 27:21grabbing him. Yeah, this is this is purely for
- 27:25points. Like he's he's the main centre
- 27:28on this team right now. That is, you know, popping off
- 27:31her points. So I I really want him on this
- 27:34four-game week. But like Josh said, he's not
- 27:37really gonna get you much category coverage.
- 27:39So this is this is way better for your points leagues and the
- 27:43longevity, I don't know if it's there, but listen, we're not
- 27:45worried about longevity. We're trying to stream week 11
- 27:48so. Yeah.
- 27:50OK, let's go to. #2. I love this guy.
- 27:54I just traded for him. Elias Lindholm of the Boston
- 27:56Bruins line. One power play, 1, four-game
- 27:59week. He's been on fire since coming
- 28:01back over a point per game on the past month, coming back from
- 28:05injury, to be clear. And he gets to play with either
- 28:08Pasternak or Geeky or both, which is nuts.
- 28:10And he's just an apple machine. He's not going to score your
- 28:13goals, but he just you know, he'll pass it to pass that,
- 28:16he'll pass it to Geeky. And those guys are just unreal
- 28:18goal scorers this year. So so I love Linda comes really
- 28:21surprised he's still so low rostered for what he's been
- 28:23doing. And then in terms of category
- 28:25coverage, not the biggest shooter, but like he'll give you
- 28:27like 1.5 shots, one hit, one block and like 7 face off wins.
- 28:33And that's like really solid to like round out like the back
- 28:36end. Like it's nothing.
- 28:36He's not like exceptional in any one of those categories, but the
- 28:39fact that he'll, you know, kind of hit on all of them on any
- 28:41given night is really nice in addition to the over point per
- 28:44game he's been in the past month.
- 28:46Yeah, I mean, listen, we, I feel like he's been a common, a
- 28:50common occurrence on these shows because he's A1C on a team that
- 28:55is a top five power play that is still somehow widely available,
- 28:58right? It's kind of like the same logic
- 28:59that goes behind Josh Norris. Like the deployment is there.
- 29:02He's surrounded by elite talent. He might not be the most elite
- 29:05player. I think Josh Norris is a better
- 29:06player when healthy, but he's playing Josh Norris, not playing
- 29:10with David Pasternak, so. And.
- 29:13And and Morgan Geeky. We cannot forget Morgan Geeky
- 29:17Geek baby. But no, I I think he's a
- 29:21phenomenal pig on a four-game week.
- 29:23And also like, listen, if you're in the categories league, he
- 29:26hits those categories as well. Like he'll get you some shots,
- 29:29some hits, some blogs. It might not be elite at any of
- 29:31them, but the fact that you're able to hit all three of those
- 29:33from the centre position is valuable and low key.
- 29:37Like listen, depending how deep your league is and if you're
- 29:39able to hold them long term, Boston's got the best playoff
- 29:42schedule. Yeah, like a 444 in weeks
- 29:44212223. So if those are your playoff
- 29:47weeks, doesn't get much better than that.
- 29:49So I for him, yeah, one of the Josh training Cindy Crosby for
- 29:54Elias Lindholm. So he he really committed to the
- 29:57bit. Yeah, David Patrick.
- 30:00Was also involved in that trade so.
- 30:01Yeah, but the centerpiece was definitely Island home.
- 30:05Alright, yeah, the main pick up this week, yeah #1.
- 30:10At #1 And this one might be a bit of like he could be number
- 30:14two or three. I put him #1 because I was
- 30:16watching like him play and just the eye test is unreal.
- 30:19Anyways, all that preface for #1 we've got Josh done of the
- 30:22Buffalo Sabres line 2 power play one only three-game week.
- 30:25But just watching this guy play, I think he's going to be a star
- 30:29and he's a lock on power play one.
- 30:31I was worried at some point that, you know, with all the
- 30:33guys healthy that he would be the odd man out, you know, but
- 30:36it seems like events since lower on the power play 1 ranking than
- 30:39done is. So I'm not worried about his
- 30:41deployment rest of season. He's shooting a ton and like
- 30:45honestly, this ties in a lot to the Josh Norris being healthy.
- 30:48When Norris is healthy, that power play is unbelievable.
- 30:51Over the season that probably ranked 13th in the league and
- 30:54that's with noise being out for a lot of it and then being
- 30:56garbage. So it just shows how good it is
- 30:58when he's in the lineup. Don't is the net front presence,
- 31:01but he like is really good at tipping the puck, getting those
- 31:03rebounds. He's got good hands, he's got a
- 31:05good shot. I don't know, just like I'm
- 31:07really hyped on done. I'm actually trying to trade for
- 31:09him and league really. Yeah, I am.
- 31:12I mean super low stakes trade. Like, I'm not trying to like,
- 31:15you know, essentially. Much Sean Monahan for Josh done
- 31:17something along. Those lines.
- 31:20Prize surprise we are not he's the fact that the main thing
- 31:25with Josh Johnson because he's been on these shows in the past
- 31:28and it hasn't usually been this high because yeah, he hasn't
- 31:31always been P1 like Zach Benson used to have that spot in the
- 31:34past and he that really give him the edge over Josh Tone.
- 31:36But it seems like ever since Norris came back and Benson came
- 31:38back from injury, I held Benson for so long because I thought
- 31:41like he was basically a point per game player in assists and
- 31:47he had only played like 2 weeks, But he was so good during those
- 31:49two weeks was line 1P1. And then he just he came back
- 31:53and he's like line 3P2. And I held them for nothing
- 31:56pretty much, which wouldn't have made much of a difference in my
- 31:59matchups, if I'm being real, because I had so many injuries
- 32:00at the time, but would have definitely helped to have an
- 32:02extra skater. And looks like Josh done is the
- 32:05guy that like, you know, really hurt his value because while
- 32:08Benson was heard, Josh Dunn was cementing his presence on the
- 32:10roster and looks like he's keeping the deployment and line
- 32:132 is is is fine. Two Josh is from Buffalo are
- 32:17recommending in our top 4 this week.
- 32:19Listen, if it works, it works. But has anything ever gone wrong
- 32:23with recommending Buffalo players?
- 32:24That's my. Question never, but I'm ready to
- 32:27be heard again. Literally, but Josh done on P1
- 32:30is an is an exceptional pickup and he has some long term stay
- 32:34if if this pressure. So that's why we are
- 32:37recommending him the the shots being close to three shots a
- 32:39game from a guy with his deployment is also like he's
- 32:41basically Coronado but like on a better team.
- 32:44Yeah, exactly. And it's crazy to be saying.
- 32:47Is better than another team, but when you're comparing Calgary,
- 32:50they are. The bar is low, but alas, that
- 32:53is our top ten list. Hopefully these guys are
- 32:56available in your leagues and you're able to go pick them up.
- 32:59These top 3-4 guys I think are are better than the rest but all
- 33:04these guys should be noteworthy for the we give we give context
- 33:08for them. So make sure that you can fit
- 33:11them in your schedule and you know, depending on your your,
- 33:15your league format, as well as whether it's a categories league
- 33:18or points lead, some of these guys might be better than
- 33:19others. So just do your due diligence.
- 33:20Listen to the episode again. We give some good insight.
- 33:23And yeah, let's get into our top five bangers.
- 33:26So these guys are also less than 40% owned.
- 33:30So, you know, make sure that first of all, they're available
- 33:33and there's nobody better available that's way higher
- 33:35owned. And these guys were were really
- 33:38looking to hit the the hits category here, hit some blocks
- 33:41and some shots are a bonus. So.
- 33:43Yeah, alright, let's get into #5 I'm actually really excited
- 33:49about this entire top five. Like fun.
- 33:52Sometimes they all look like their long-term guys.
- 33:54That's it like like sometimes we toss in guys like you know, who
- 33:57are just a nice streamer for the week with hits and blocks on a
- 33:59four-game week. But I don't see them having like
- 34:00a longevity on your team. All five of these I could see
- 34:03being long term holds in bangers.
- 34:04So at #5 we have Mark Kastelic of the Boston Bruins, 1.3 shots
- 34:09per game, 2.6 hits, one block. And I think his main thing is
- 34:13his Pimms. If you're in a Pimms league, he
- 34:15has over 2 Pimms per game four-game week, randomly
- 34:18chipping in on the offence and he had a two goal game this past
- 34:20week. So I I love Catholic as a
- 34:24bangers guide around out your roster.
- 34:25He also wins face offs from the winger position.
- 34:28So if your league counts that, that's great.
- 34:30And in terms of longevity, Boston, like we said, has one of
- 34:32the best playoff schedules. So if he stays on your offer the
- 34:35whole year, he couldn't win you a bunch of this again, like
- 34:38bangers categories, but he could win you a bunch of bangers
- 34:40categories leagues in the playoffs.
- 34:43Yeah, exactly. I feel like he's, he hasn't
- 34:45really been talked about as a banger this this season.
- 34:47Like he's been here and there, but I feel like he's one of the
- 34:49the the pure banger guys that's going under the radar a little
- 34:52bit right now. But but like you said, the
- 34:54playoff weeks are something to keep in mind.
- 34:56And also like the he's centre right wing as well, so low key
- 35:00that that helps you with the roster flexibility.
- 35:03And yeah, he's he hits all the categories in kind of a balanced
- 35:06way for a forward like the guy, you guys getting over a block a
- 35:09game as a forward that's noteworthy for a banger stream.
- 35:12So. Absolutely.
- 35:13Like you would be, you would be happy to pick up this for a
- 35:16defenseman to stream on a weekly basis.
- 35:18You're able to do it from the forward position.
- 35:20So yeah, some flexibility. There.
- 35:22It's really nice. OK, let's get to this next one.
- 35:25This is an exciting one #4 at #4 We have Yakov Trenin of the
- 35:32Minnesota Wild. So I feel like this name has
- 35:35been popping around a bit and then a discord and people are
- 35:37like, who the hell is this guy? And he's averaging 4.65 hits per
- 35:41game on the season. But lately he's averaging like
- 35:44seven hits per game. He's looking like he's going to
- 35:46be the next key for Sherwood with a bit with less offensive
- 35:50potential. But in terms of like pure hits,
- 35:52I could see him finishing. I think he's leading the league
- 35:54in hits right now. He's this is like if you need a
- 35:56hits guy, this is your guy. 4 teams this week.
- 35:59And also just long term, like it's very rare a guy just puts
- 36:02up this number of hits consistently, so he had to be
- 36:05mentioned. Yeah, and I am playing against
- 36:09him in week 10 and he dropped like 10 hits on me in in one
- 36:13game. So pretty happy about that as
- 36:15you could tell. And you 2 could drop 10 hits on
- 36:19me if you pick him up. So yeah, I think this like Josh
- 36:23said, mainly for the hits the the the ceiling here is massive.
- 36:28He he's basically keep for sure away without the the goal
- 36:31scoring upside. So if you want that, she's a
- 36:35great option. And plus maybe Minnesota right
- 36:37now is is going to be buzzed up because of the trade and
- 36:40everything like that. So we might see some more energy
- 36:43from this squad and more energy means more hits for Yakov Trend
- 36:45and. Yeah, exactly.
- 36:48Let's get to. #3. At #3 we have my best friend, I
- 36:53picked him up a few weeks ago. He's gonna be on my roster for
- 36:55most of the year I think. And that is Jack McBain of the
- 36:58Utah Mammoth. So he is averaging 1.3 shots,
- 37:023.2 hits, .8 blocks. He gets face off wins from
- 37:06winger position and he gets Pimms 4 game week.
- 37:09And this unfortunately this is the end of those of that streak
- 37:12of Utah having just four-game weeks back-to-back to
- 37:15back-to-back after this. They only have one game week.
- 37:17So in most leagues I could see him been dropped.
- 37:19I'm not gonna drop him next week for the one game week because
- 37:22I'm playing one of the weaker teams in our league and I just
- 37:24like what his what he brings to my team.
- 37:26But I definitely won't fall to you.
- 37:27But definitely for this week, 4 game week, he's a great banger.
- 37:30Yeah, similar to taste like he's one of the few forwards that are
- 37:33like centre left wing, centre right wing, McKenna centre left
- 37:36wing. And so he'll get you, you know,
- 37:38some shots over one shot of game, some hits, some faceoff
- 37:41wins and close to a block a game and all of that category
- 37:45coverage. Like the points are just the
- 37:47cherry on top at that point and he could get some points like
- 37:49he's done it before he's. Done it three times.
- 37:51So he. Exactly, so you never really
- 37:53know where these banger guys like they could get the points
- 37:56and four-game week. This is this is this is like a
- 38:00gem that wins you championships when you're playing like deep
- 38:03categories leagues. Yeah.
- 38:05And I will say like the best way to the best way to do this is
- 38:09when you're doing these consolidating trades we've been
- 38:11recommending all year, these two for ones, you know, these three
- 38:14for ones, whatever you get the best way in the trade, you open
- 38:16up roster spots and you fill those roster spots with Jack
- 38:18Mcbains and Mark Catholics and that's how you win your bangers
- 38:21Cats leagues. And that's my strategy at least.
- 38:24Yeah, it's hard because not all leagues are as deep as ours.
- 38:27So it's it's tough to make up the points value sometimes when
- 38:32the league is shallower or it's it's better to make up the
- 38:35points value when the league is shallow because the replacement
- 38:37value is higher. But in our league specifically,
- 38:40like I just, it's unfair to either be able to pull those off
- 38:43and then pick up a Jack McBain. So if you can, follow Josh's
- 38:46advice and also in your championships.
- 38:49Do it. Alright, let's go to.
- 38:54Number. 2 and #2 We have the man who my son is definitely not
- 38:58named after, Ben Shirat of the Detroit Red Wings.
- 39:03He has a four-game week. He's been an absolute bangers
- 39:06beast ever since Kevin traded for him and he's got 1.2 shots,
- 39:092.4 hits, 2.4 blocks. This is just, this is a season
- 39:13long hold in a bangers league. He's he's just killing it.
- 39:15It hits and blocks and I wish I had him on my team.
- 39:19So he's available in most leagues.
- 39:21He's not as big a name as our number one guy so so he should
- 39:24be available and justice. Grab him, plug him into your
- 39:26lineup, and you'll be happy the rest of the season.
- 39:29Yeah, I and also just to note that Ben Sherrod is one of the
- 39:33only teams that plays more than two games in the week in week
- 39:3712. So, you know, you've got four
- 39:40games this week. He's one of the best banger dead
- 39:43available on the market right now, which is very impressive
- 39:46what he's able to do and this consistent like I thought it was
- 39:48going to be like, OK, like, you know, those weeks where there's
- 39:51one banger that gets like three shots and three hits and three
- 39:54blocks and it lasts like 3 or 4 games, then they just fall off.
- 39:58Like he's been doing it. Not the shots, but he's been
- 40:00doing it. Or feels like weeks at this
- 40:02point. Maybe over a?
- 40:02Montreal. So and the choice kind of
- 40:05winning games too. So they got four games this
- 40:08week, three games the week after that.
- 40:09He's the only player on this top five list we're mentioning that
- 40:12has more than two games next the week after yeah no on week 12.
- 40:16So. But also like I just think he's
- 40:18a season long hold not but if you just want him for a stream
- 40:20then definitely he's A2 weaker instead of just a one week which
- 40:23is really nice. Exactly.
- 40:25So I I highly recommend picking up in short, if you're one of
- 40:28those links, you just need a banger like plug and play.
- 40:30Don't even think about it like he's one of the best guys for
- 40:32that along with this next guy at.
- 40:34Yeah, number one at #1 I don't know how he's still under 40%
- 40:39owned, but we've got Radko Gudas of the Anaheim Ducks.
- 40:43He's averaging 3.7 hits per game, two blocks a game,
- 40:47four-game week. I mean, he's been for years,
- 40:50like just the the go to Mangers defenseman.
- 40:52Then he starts off the season slow, gets injured, everyone
- 40:55just decides to forget about him I guess.
- 40:56And now he's hovering around like 27% owned.
- 40:59And I know there's more than 27% of leagues are bangers leagues.
- 41:03There's just no way that there's so few of us.
- 41:04So it just makes no sense to me that he's so low roster.
- 41:07Usually he hovers, I feel like around like high 30s, like low
- 41:1040s, something like that. But as long as he's under 40,
- 41:14we're going to keep mentioning him and keep telling you to go
- 41:15pick him up. He put up a game this week. 10
- 41:17hits and three blocks, that's just absurd and that's like you
- 41:22see that and you're like that's insane.
- 41:23But like that's good. As you know, he could do that.
- 41:26So it's it's definitely a great pickup and that's another season
- 41:29long hold in bangors leagues. Yeah, not much to honestly, if
- 41:32you like every week he's #1 on this list until he's get to 40%
- 41:35is we're going to have to mention him just because we
- 41:37can't, we can't not mention him if he's available in your
- 41:40league. Like you need to pick him up if
- 41:41you're in a bangers league, specifically bankers categories.
- 41:43So I think he's a phenomenal choice.
- 41:46The only difference between him and Sharat is that, you know,
- 41:49Goodness has the pedigree of been doing it for so much
- 41:51longer. And I mean to note, if you have
- 41:55a preference and you want to optimize for your ads in week
- 41:5912, Goodness has two games, Charades 3.
- 42:01So if that's a deal breaker for you and makes you prefer one
- 42:03over the other, then go for it. But a loss.
- 42:06Both are exceptional choices. Yeah, honestly, this whole top
- 42:09five, this is one of the best top five fingers we've had.
- 42:11Absolutely. Think like all of these guys I
- 42:13could see sticking on a roster long term and deeply so really
- 42:17hyped about that. But let's move on to the goalies
- 42:19with the top three quantity bullies.
- 42:21These guys are gonna get you 2 plus starts, always under 40%
- 42:25owned. So we'll start with.
- 42:27Let's how about we just name all three and have a conversation
- 42:30because I feel like there's very.
- 42:32Little in the ranking. The ranking feels disingenuous
- 42:35here because I just feel there's a lot of context that goes with
- 42:37goalies and just depends on the machine.
- 42:40But how about we list the three of them?
- 42:42Yeah. OK.
- 42:43So the three guys we're talking about in no particular order,
- 42:46but anyways, from three to one, we've got John Gibson of the
- 42:50Detroit Red Wings, we've got Carter Hart of the Vegas Golden
- 42:52Knights, and we've got Brandon Bussey of the Carolina
- 42:56Hurricanes. So I think the bussy Brandon.
- 43:00I'm getting wrecked by the bus. He doesn't.
- 43:02Exactly insane it's actually the pussy is playing him against
- 43:05Josh. So there you have it.
- 43:07We listen to our own device, but the bus has been popping off and
- 43:12listen they they. He is probably getting two games
- 43:15at least this upcoming week. Now this.
- 43:17Is the starter. It's crazy.
- 43:19He's starting most of the games he's playing in a row like he's
- 43:21playing the games in a row, which for Carolina is basically
- 43:24unheard of given they have 3 goalies that they're holding at
- 43:27every any given moment. At this point, Freddy's toast
- 43:29like he's not getting like any games.
- 43:31It's pretty. Bad.
- 43:32He's just like been playing worse than the other guys.
- 43:35And he's helped. I mean, there's, there's not
- 43:36giving him starts. So like, I think like.
- 43:38Why would they when the pussies going?
- 43:39Off. I know he's not restorable.
- 43:41Freddie is not Rostyle. Like unless like he's confirmed
- 43:43to start the next day and you want him as a one day pick up,
- 43:45but like he's not restorable. Bush's the main guy.
- 43:48Kochetkov. I still don't see how he doesn't
- 43:50overtake because he has the 1A over the course of the season,
- 43:53but if he keeps doing what he's doing then he's gonna keep
- 43:55getting the starts like .91 wins per game.
- 43:58So pretty much, I think he won 10 out of 11 of the games he's
- 44:00played. He's getting OK.
- 44:02The one thing with Carolina gold is they get very few shots, so
- 44:04he doesn't get the most saves. But his safe percentage .909
- 44:07over the course of his eleven games, it's very good.
- 44:09It's not, Yeah. Very good.
- 44:11He's not letting many goals like his goals against average is
- 44:14right over to when I say right over 2 is like 2.07.
- 44:18So that's just disgusting point 9.9 wins.
- 44:23That's just it's this is not sustainable.
- 44:26First of all, like if you're picking them up, being thinking
- 44:28like this is going to be forever.
- 44:29Not like I can see him falling down to like .7 .65 in that
- 44:35range. But Caroline is a good team.
- 44:37They're always contending for the title and they've been
- 44:39begging for a guy to just run away with this job.
- 44:41It's been it's been Anderson has been checked.
- 44:43Neither of them can stay healthy.
- 44:45Both of them kind of play better when they're splitting starts,
- 44:47it kind of feels like, and then both of them get hurt.
- 44:50And then you got the busy out of nowhere just coming out here
- 44:52being like, I can take the workload and give you some
- 44:56quality. So he he might be the saving
- 44:59grace for for Carolina. And listen, if this continues,
- 45:04yeah, absolutely. The thing is he's not gonna get
- 45:07a lot of saves. He'll get you around 20 saves a
- 45:09game, which depending on the league scoring for you, if you
- 45:12get points for saves, how many? If he's, if he's a lot of
- 45:16leagues have like .2 for saves, that means one goal against is
- 45:19five saves. If he's letting in two goals,
- 45:21that's 10 saves. So you can get like 2 points
- 45:23plus the win. That's like a six point average
- 45:25for a goalie if your wins are like 4 points.
- 45:28So that's not too bad. And you can rely on the wins and
- 45:31they're playing Nashville, which should be a win, and then they
- 45:33have a back-to-back of Florida and Tampa later in the week.
- 45:36And listen, both games, Carolina, both of those games
- 45:39are winnable, so. Yeah, that's nothing matchups on
- 45:42that back-to-back. But yeah, Caroline could beat
- 45:44anyone. And then talking quickly about
- 45:46Heart and Gibson. Heart, I mean, we've talked
- 45:48about a lot. He's pretty clearly, I think the
- 45:50starter on Vegas until he'll comes back and everything I've
- 45:52been seeing as he's out long term.
- 45:54He didn't play against Philly, which people were kind of
- 45:56worried about then don't forget, like that was his old team and
- 45:58they were not too thrilled about his situation.
- 46:01So exactly, I think that it was very clearly they chickened out.
- 46:05They are like, we don't have to deal with, you know.
- 46:07The court really wanted to play, but yeah, management decision.
- 46:11Yeah, exactly so so I wouldn't read too much into that and he's
- 46:14definitely the starter and if you can pick up the starter for
- 46:16Vegas for the foreseeable future and also when Hill comes back,
- 46:19if he's been playing well, I don't think hearts demoted to
- 46:21full two. He could be a 1B.
- 46:23He can still he could be the 1A over you know, like he doesn't
- 46:26have that much competition is what I'm trying to say.
- 46:27So this is a no brainer pickup and then with Gibson that one
- 46:30I'm like he's hot right now so grab him while you can.
- 46:33They have two back-to-back so he's guaranteed 2 games but not
- 46:36buying him as a season long savior for for the 0G teams.
- 46:41Yep I so in for this particular week.
- 46:44Definitely prefer busy the most then heart than Gibson but it
- 46:48just depends on your league and who's available.
- 46:51Right? But all three of these guys are
- 46:52are great options. Yeah, and let's go to the top
- 46:55three quality goalies. These are gonna guarantee get
- 46:57you one good matchup start this week.
- 47:00Well, the guarantee getting you one matchup, we're predicting
- 47:02it's gonna be good. So we've got So you don't want
- 47:05to do it 3 to 1. You want me just say all the
- 47:07names. OK, this will get the 321 here.
- 47:09How about that? I know you want to do it.
- 47:11Yeah, I like, I like when you say the number and the funny
- 47:13voice. See, it's like this music voice.
- 47:17Yeah, deep, menacing voice. I can hear my vocal chords
- 47:21struggling right now. So that that's why you don't
- 47:24wanna do it. OK.
- 47:25Yeah, there you. Go.
- 47:25I see. Alright, at #3.
- 47:28At #3 We have Evilly Whoso of the Anaheim Ducks.
- 47:32They've got Lucas Dostal coming back, so he's no longer the
- 47:35starter, but they've got 2 back to backs this week, so he's
- 47:38going to get you 2 starts. The matchups are Rangers in
- 47:41Columbus on one back-to-back, and then Dallas and Columbus on
- 47:43the other. So Rangers Columbus, I'm happy
- 47:45with either of those specifically because the Rangers
- 47:471 is at Madison Square Garden and they're just awful at home
- 47:51this year. So whether you gets Rangers or
- 47:52Columbus, I love that one. Dallas Columbus, I'm not
- 47:55starting him against Dallas, but if he gets that Columbus game, I
- 47:58absolutely love it. So I mean, obviously, like you
- 48:01could start installing if you need, just like the volume, but
- 48:03like, probably going to get shelled.
- 48:05But yeah, so at the very least at the start of the week, he's
- 48:07going to get a solid match up and then possibly a second solid
- 48:09match up if they put him against Columbus.
- 48:12Yeah, I think Columbus is not a dumpster fire right now.
- 48:14I feel like they're playing well until like the last five minutes
- 48:17of the third period. So that's really sad for them.
- 48:20But who? So I feel like has been OK while
- 48:24while Dustin has been out. So maybe it does start coming
- 48:27back and alleviating the load a little bit will help him out.
- 48:29Either way, if you need one good game like he's a viable option.
- 48:33Yeah, Let's go to number two. Number two, we have Jonathan
- 48:38Quick of the New York Rangers. This another team that has two
- 48:41back to backs. Obviously they've got A5 game
- 48:43week, so he's got Anaheim and Vancouver at so one of those two
- 48:47in the first back-to-back and then Philly, Nashville the
- 48:49second one. All four of those teams are
- 48:51teams I'm happy to go against. I know we just recommended who
- 48:54so as as a goalie against the Rangers, but that doesn't
- 48:57necessarily mean I think Anaheim is a scary team either.
- 48:59It just means that ranges at home aren't great.
- 49:01But if he gets Vancouver, that team is a mess.
- 49:03They just traded away their best player and got, you know, good
- 49:06futures but present nothing much.
- 49:08So that's an easy matchup and then filling Nashville, both
- 49:12easy matchups. So I definitely like quick as
- 49:14honestly two good matchups starts this week.
- 49:17Yeah, and honestly, Donald, Jonathan Quick is always up
- 49:19there when I wanna stream like one game because he always seems
- 49:22to deliver if you like, no matter the matchup, no matter
- 49:25the situation of the. Team stats on the season.
- 49:27Please tell me. He's averaging 28 saves a game,
- 49:31his goals against average is 1.86 and his safe percentage is
- 49:34.937. That's absolutely disgusting.
- 49:37As a guy you can just pick up for one game and flip like all
- 49:39your goalie categories and then just drop him.
- 49:40That's really nice. Exactly.
- 49:43And listen, this Rangers team is looking for some wins, like
- 49:46they're not as bad as they were in the beginning of the season.
- 49:48They're still not, I think a full form and the matchup does
- 49:52the schedule this week. I feel like it's very generous
- 49:53for them. Like they're playing.
- 49:55He's gonna be playing either Anaheim, which honestly, we know
- 49:57Anaheim can win games, but I'm never scared when my team goes
- 50:00to play and I'm then Vancouver who just traded away their best
- 50:03player. So he might get one of those two
- 50:05games, which is great. And then you could get him.
- 50:07Honestly, he could be a quantity guy too.
- 50:08Like you know what, they're going to get 2 two starts.
- 50:11Then Philly is easy and natural is easy.
- 50:14So then I wanna say Philly is easier than the end up losing to
- 50:16Philly but I think. We do, we say what the historic
- 50:20has been. If there's an upset, the league
- 50:23has a lot of parity, you know, you can't predict the future
- 50:25unfortunately. But it's a really good pickup
- 50:27and let's get to our top one, which is I will try to find a
- 50:32way to say it without saying the word 1.
- 50:35I know. Yeah, at #1 we've got Casey
- 50:39Desmith of the Dallas Stars. He's gonna play either San Jose
- 50:42or Anaheim. And honestly, I really love what
- 50:44do Smith has been doing this year as just like kind of like
- 50:47similar vein as quick except better where he just like
- 50:49anytime Dallas has a back-to-back, I'm like, oh, I
- 50:51would love to stream to Smith for this back-to-back,
- 50:53especially with easy matchups like this because it's Dallas,
- 50:56right? They're unreal.
- 50:57And then dismiss is just been doing what he needs to do 26
- 51:00saves per game. 2.2 three goals against average .92 save
- 51:03percentage. Those are great numbers.
- 51:05So very happy to stream to Smith for this game.
- 51:08Yep, he's listen, he's on one of the best teams in the league,
- 51:11playing in front of one of the best offensive units and forward
- 51:16units. Like this guy is always gonna be
- 51:17poised for a win. And he's put up good, good stats
- 51:20when needed as well. Like we've seen him, you know,
- 51:23come in for for orange in the past.
- 51:26This is too tantalizing matchups as well that Dallas will be
- 51:28heavily, heavily favored in I there's a lot worse options this
- 51:32week, so. Yeah, so that wraps up our Week
- 51:3611 streamers. I think that was a great one.
- 51:38There's so many good names out there and it's a really fun time
- 51:41to be making pickups, especially with all the craziness going on
- 51:44the league. Should I try and do this this,
- 51:46this? Follow us on.
