- 0:00[SPEAKER_00]: Jacksonville Jaguar's fans, welcome into Duval.
- 0:02[SPEAKER_00]: Daily, presented by jingyag.com.
- 0:03[SPEAKER_00]: I'm Jordan Aluga.
- 0:04[SPEAKER_00]: Thanks for bringing here Friday, April 10th, right now.
- 0:06[SPEAKER_00]: We are talking about Ed Rusher's James Gladstone.
- 0:10[SPEAKER_00]: Jaguar's GM yesterday was asked by Hyrano Haller and like what's the deepest position in the draft.
- 0:15[SPEAKER_00]: He didn't give like a direct answer, but the final thing he said was Ed Rusher is deep compared to a lot of positions and he's excited to see how it plays out.
- 0:28[SPEAKER_00]: and earlier in the press conference he said, we think that the skill in this draft, the depth in this draft kind of aligns with what we're looking for.
- 0:41[SPEAKER_00]: one could infer the Jaguars are looking to upgrade their edd rush and I think they should be.
- 0:46[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, they've got their starters obviously, Josh Hinds Allen, Trevor and Walker.
- 0:51[SPEAKER_00]: They did develop two young guys on draft of free agents last year, Danny Sturgo and BJ Green, but they should be looking for more.
- 1:00[SPEAKER_00]: They absolutely should be and I think the draft does align with that and so I'm excited to talk about kind of my wish list and some guys that
- 1:08[SPEAKER_00]: might make sense for the Jaguars.
- 1:10[SPEAKER_00]: Really appreciate y'all being here.
- 1:11[SPEAKER_00]: If you enjoy the content, please like and subscribe.
- 1:14[SPEAKER_00]: And I'll just check out GenJag.com pick up some new dov all gear, help support the channel look good while doing it.
- 1:18[SPEAKER_00]: And I'll just hit that high button.
- 1:19[SPEAKER_00]: So, uh, gonna get out of the way the players that I think the Jaguars have absolutely zero chance.
- 1:27[SPEAKER_00]: of potentially landing.
- 1:28[SPEAKER_00]: That's Arville Reese, who's a hybrid linebacker edge out of Ohio State.
- 1:33[SPEAKER_00]: David Bailey, the speedy edgerusher out of Texas Tech, Rubin Bane.
- 1:39[SPEAKER_00]: Everybody knows about Rubin Bane.
- 1:41[SPEAKER_00]: He's got the shortest arms ever for a defensive end.
- 1:44[SPEAKER_00]: Going to be drafted in the first round.
- 1:46[SPEAKER_00]: But he is a bully and he is highly technically sound strong.
- 1:52[SPEAKER_00]: I'm a fan of Rubin Bane.
- 1:56[SPEAKER_00]: starting to get into the territory where it's like maybe he could be available for a trade-up scenario, but I don't think he will be.
- 2:05[SPEAKER_00]: I think that he's going to go early, top 20, something like that.
- 2:09[SPEAKER_00]: But everybody else, there's like a glimmer of hope, a small chance that, yeah, I mean, a key measure or love the guy's game,
- 2:22[SPEAKER_00]: unbelievable athlete at edge in my opinion, just like his combination of size, fluidity, bend, explosiveness, really good, really technically sound.
- 2:36[SPEAKER_00]: He's 25 years old and he has a lot of injury history.
- 2:38[SPEAKER_00]: That's the reason he could be potentially become available.
- 2:42[SPEAKER_00]: and arrange the Jaguars could feel comfortable trading up for.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_00]: Who knows, right?
- 2:48[SPEAKER_00]: Those are, I don't care about the age as much because he's been playing good football for a long time.
- 2:53[SPEAKER_00]: I care more about.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_00]: the injury concerns.
- 2:57[SPEAKER_00]: I think that that's fair.
- 2:58[SPEAKER_00]: TJ Parker coming off a little bit of a down year at a Clemson.
- 3:02[SPEAKER_00]: He's big.
- 3:02[SPEAKER_00]: He's over 260 pounds like 263 something like that.
- 3:06[SPEAKER_00]: Kind of would fit right in with a Josh Hines Allen and a Travelle Walker size wise.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_00]: He hasn't become super technically refined.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think he's like super bindi, but he is explosive.
- 3:20[SPEAKER_00]: He is a very good athlete.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_00]: He's gonna be good against the run.
- 3:24[SPEAKER_00]: And I think getting in with this group would be a good landing spot for him.
- 3:29[SPEAKER_00]: And right now we're rolling through
- 3:33[SPEAKER_00]: Dane Brugler's beast, the beast, his draft rankings, just wanted to shout him out, obviously doesn't incredible job covering the draft.
- 3:41[SPEAKER_00]: So we're just rolling through those, the list of names there, and I'm just kind of given my opinion.
- 3:48[SPEAKER_00]: So TJ Parker, I would be relatively excited about.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_00]: I think that there's more upside there, there's a floor that you can be happy with,
- 4:04[SPEAKER_00]: huge impact pass rusher.
- 4:06[SPEAKER_00]: I think he can be a good pass rusher.
- 4:08[SPEAKER_00]: I think measured or is going to be a better pass rusher.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_00]: I think the next guy on Brugler's list, Malachi Lawrence, is going to be a better pass rusher.
- 4:17[SPEAKER_00]: Lawrence is um and insane athlete out of UCF.
- 4:22[SPEAKER_00]: He's just and insane athlete.
- 4:25[SPEAKER_00]: Like he's somebody we actually got to pull up the numbers here for him because
- 4:31[SPEAKER_00]: What he did at the combine was nothing short of incredible.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_00]: And he's got the tape to back it up, the production to back it up.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_00]: But 95th percentile 40R-452 for an edge player, 452 at 64253, with 33 and 5A's arms.
- 4:51[SPEAKER_00]: Like he's got the length.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_00]: He's got the explosiveness at the 40R-dash, the vertical jump, 96th percentile.
- 4:59[SPEAKER_00]: 40-inch vert at 253 pounds.
- 5:04[SPEAKER_00]: Broad jump 97%ile, 130 inches.
- 5:09[SPEAKER_00]: It's all there, man.
- 5:10[SPEAKER_00]: It's all there for him.
- 5:13[SPEAKER_00]: I think he has the chance.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_00]: And I think John led you to who I really respect when it comes to specifically kind of defensive line evaluations.
- 5:22[SPEAKER_00]: Not always right.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_00]: Nobody is always right.
- 5:25[SPEAKER_00]: But he said that, he's the adressor that he would like to bet on in this draft.
- 5:31[SPEAKER_00]: And I get that.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_00]: Malachi Lawrence.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_00]: Now, the Jaguar's have a legit chance to land him.
- 5:40[SPEAKER_00]: Probably in the top 25.
- 5:42[SPEAKER_00]: If not, then maybe they do have a chance to trade up for him if they want to.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_00]: Again, I wouldn't put it past James Lads so I'm getting back into that first round.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_00]: I would not.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_00]: Zion Young, not somebody who I'd be super excited about.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_00]: I just don't think he's super athletic.
- 6:01[SPEAKER_00]: I think he'd be like a lesser version of a TJ Parker.
- 6:05[SPEAKER_00]: It's probably not even fair to really put them in the same bucket, but he has a good run defender, good size, strong player.
- 6:15[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's a little overrated, but.
- 6:18[SPEAKER_00]: we'll see.
- 6:19[SPEAKER_00]: Cash is how well in our Mason Thomas are next up on the list for Dane Brugler.
- 6:25[SPEAKER_00]: Kind of both projected as like undersized speed rusher's, I prefer our Mason Thomas.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_00]: I think he is
- 6:36[SPEAKER_00]: just so and cash is how it is, too.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_00]: They're both really explosive off the line.
- 6:42[SPEAKER_00]: I like our Mason Thomas overall bag of tricks, better.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_00]: I think he is really good at bending the edge.
- 6:49[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's really good at crossing your face.
- 6:51[SPEAKER_00]: He threatens you with speed to the outside arc and then crosses your face, you overset.
- 6:56[SPEAKER_00]: It's over.
- 6:57[SPEAKER_00]: I think he wins with a little bit more power, a little bit more refinement as well than cash is howl.
- 7:03[SPEAKER_00]: So I'd be really fired up about our Mason Thomas.
- 7:06[SPEAKER_00]: But either one of those guys you could get excited about as Ed Rusher's kind of more DPR types.
- 7:13[SPEAKER_00]: Gave back inside of Illinois, souped up power rusher, good length, good size, good athleticism.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_00]: It could be fun.
- 7:24[SPEAKER_00]: You just want somebody pushing the pocket.
- 7:27[SPEAKER_00]: It could be fun.
- 7:29[SPEAKER_00]: Good to run defender as well.
- 7:31[SPEAKER_00]: Cure on Crawford out of Auburn is somebody who plays with his hair on fire, very, very good athlete.
- 7:39[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think he's like the most refined edged rusher yet, but somebody who I could see fitting into this room really well.
- 7:50[SPEAKER_00]: They need to in a certain more of that like
- 8:00[SPEAKER_00]: not ever going to probably be in a lead past Russia, but can push the pocket, can defend the run.
- 8:06[SPEAKER_00]: Derek Moore, to me, is low on this list.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_00]: I really like Derek Moore.
- 8:14[SPEAKER_00]: I'd be fine with him at 56, 81, 88.
- 8:20[SPEAKER_00]: He's a refined Russia who can win with speed to power, who can rush through you, who can bend the edge, and crush your face a little bit, can move around.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_00]: I like Derek Moore's game a lot.
- 8:32[SPEAKER_00]: Ramello, height is, I mean, he plays under 240 pounds.
- 8:37[SPEAKER_00]: He's small, but,
- 8:41[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think there's many guys that are more explosive off the line, and he was super productive at Texas Tech, has played out like four or five different programs.
- 8:53[SPEAKER_00]: Was really productive at Texas Tech, and can't remember where he was in 2024, but he was productive there too.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_00]: Jason Barham, out of Michigan, Derek Moore's teammate, he hadn't been playing edge very long.
- 9:11[SPEAKER_00]: He could be a fun guy to add for sure.
- 9:14[SPEAKER_00]: And then, LTO over 10, he's really not like a true edge projection in my opinion.
- 9:25[SPEAKER_00]: I've always liked his game.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's a bit underrated, but I don't think you've, like I view him as more of an interior past Russia.
- 9:36[SPEAKER_00]: Kaden Curry out of Ohio State super productive.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's going to be a good role player in the NFL.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_00]: Joshua Joseph's very kind of linear and upright out of Tennessee, but he has some length and explosiveness and production.
- 9:48[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe somebody that could be interested in.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_00]: And now we're kind of just moving around the board.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_00]: Logan Faunau, somebody who I've been a fan of his effort, his game.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_00]: Mason Rieger, I think it's somebody that the Jaguars have shown interest in out of Wisconsin.
- 10:04[SPEAKER_00]: I really like him.
- 10:05[SPEAKER_00]: He could be, I think, early day, day three, early to mid day three for them.
- 10:11[SPEAKER_00]: SOOPED UP version of Danny Striggow in a way.
- 10:17[SPEAKER_00]: Tyre Xapp, somebody out of Florida who they thought could be a potential first round second round pick.
- 10:23[SPEAKER_00]: Now, probably going to be mid-delayed day three.
- 10:25[SPEAKER_00]: I think he could definitely help them out.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_00]: Now, Domay Tucker is an interesting one.
- 10:29[SPEAKER_00]: I really like his game on tape as a DPR type, but he's up there in age.
- 10:37[SPEAKER_00]: Mikhail Kamara out of Indiana and Stanley Productive,
- 10:42[SPEAKER_00]: just doesn't have a lot of the physical traits, I think a lot of teams are getting excited about.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, that's kind of my wishlist, some of the guys that I think could make a lot of sense for the jag wars at edge.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_00]: So let me know who you're looking at in the comment section below.
- 10:58[SPEAKER_00]: If you enjoy the content, please like and subscribe.
