- 0:03This is HBr News number four four seven rip Akira Toriyama girl hospital wized by
- 0:11Dei, Gamergate two, Sweet Baby Boogoloo, where we discussed the news of
- 0:15the week and give it the Badger treatment. Hello everyone, and welcome to
- 0:23Honey Badger Radio. Hope you guys are doing well this week and that you're
- 0:26laughing at all of this absurdity, which is a lot, and it's constantly
- 0:30piling on, so that you are not consumed by it. I am your
- 0:35host, Brian Martinez. I'm joined by, as always, my lovely co
- 0:38hosts Hannah Wallen and doctor Randa mcam. We have a great show line up
- 0:43for you guys today, so please be sure to continue the conversations both in
- 0:46the chat as well as the comments section. On this week's HBr News show,
- 0:51We're going to be talking about the latest regarding the case of the Armorer
- 0:58from Rust and the unfortunate accident that occurred on the set of that film,
- 1:03the passing of manga and anime titan Akira Toriyama, a girl is hospitalized after
- 1:10a brutal assault, and there is some information about this that is not really
- 1:14being shared that much that I thought is worth bringing up and more so,
- 1:19stick around, it's going to be a good time and be sure to join
- 1:23us afterwards for the Patron Only Show. So on this week's Patron Only Show,
- 1:27in honor of everything that's been going on regarding Gamergay two and Sweet Baby,
- 1:33inc et cetera, there is this article from Dual Shockers, which is
- 1:38supposedly one of our trusted sources for games journalism, and it is about another
- 1:46mod that is apparently bothering this person, Jack Coleman, and the title of
- 1:52the article is Baltis Kate three mods that glow up faces are my pet peeve,
- 1:57forcing of conventional beauty sets. Everything is tiring, so we'll find out
- 2:02what he has to say about, you know, what people do with their
- 2:07own property in there, in the privacy of their own home, and how
- 2:10that is just like driving him crazy. I mean, it's I'm assuming it's
- 2:15a it's an x y because the name is Jack Coleman. But who what
- 2:19do I know, I'm just a bigot. I'm asking you any questions.
- 2:22Are there any trusted sources in games journalism anymore? Is a thing? Is
- 2:27there any I thought they went extinct like ten years ago? The only one
- 2:31is gamigate. Yeah, well one would think, but apparently they're still fighting
- 2:39for relevance, and I mean they are fighting hard. But we'll we'll get
- 2:45to that in a little bit. And uh, you guys want to join
- 2:47us for that patron only content, you have to become a Badger yourself by
- 2:52going to feed the Badger dot com and setting up a monthly subscription. Five
- 2:55bucks a month will get you into our discord where you'll be able to enjoy
- 3:00hours and hours of additional content, which includes other patron shows and some videos
- 3:07that you know, like Alison or prim Reaper or others are putting out before
- 3:12they are ready, and so this will give you like early access and you
- 3:16can even be sort of like you know, involved in helping Alison with feedback
- 3:21on things. But there's also lots of groups that you know, we have
- 3:24a writer's retreat, we have little clubs, we do have game nights,
- 3:29we have movie nights, et cetera. So there's lots of going on in
- 3:31the discord servers. It's very active with lots of fun activities. So to
- 3:37do that, go to feed the Badger dot com and set up a monthly
- 3:39subscription, or you can do it on our Patreon, which is also linked
- 3:43in the description, and if you don't want to wake up one morning to
- 3:46find it, we've been removed from the mainstream internet space like YouTube, then
- 3:52find our content at badgerfeed dot com. That's badgerfeed dot com, or you
- 3:55can go to Honeybadger Radio dot com because that is where our content lives,
- 4:01all right, So, without further ado, we are going to get into
- 4:04today's stories. So first we have a little follow up that I you know,
- 4:12we just have to get that out of the way. So Alec Baldwin,
- 4:15in case you guys don't remember, accidentally killed someone on the set of
- 4:19a film called Rust, or at least I don't think it's ever going to
- 4:24come out now. But so the the Hannah Katirez read is the name of
- 4:29the woman who was the armorer. It is the person that's supposed to prepare
- 4:31the props or you know, for filming and for and for the for their
- 4:38job. She was the armor on the set of Rust when Alec Baldwin shot
- 4:42a gun with live ammunition that killed cinematographer he Hawl Helena Helena Hutchins. The
- 4:48jury deliberation lasted three hours at a New Mexico Courthouse. Katierrez Reid faces eighteen
- 4:55months in prison and up to five thousand dollars in fines. That's pretty generous,
- 5:00according to Special Prosecutor Carrie Morrissey in her closing comments, quote, Anna
- 5:06Katirez knew that Baldwin was loose. She knew it. She didn't do anything
- 5:11about it, even though it was her job. It was her job.
- 5:14It is her job to say to an a list actor if in fact that's
- 5:17what you want to call him, Hey, you can't behave that way with
- 5:20those firearms. That is her job. That is what they pay her for.
- 5:26That is the job that she applied for. That is the job that
- 5:29she accept Did she mention that that's her job? Sorry, this it's a
- 5:32weird quote because she's being a little she's repeating herself quite a bit. Katiras
- 5:35Reads lawyers said in response that quote, whoever put that live round on set
- 5:41and then mister Baldwin in the end going off script and doing what he did.
- 5:46Those are outside events outside of missus Katia's reads control, that she didn't
- 5:49know was going to happen. Now, far be it from me to insinuate
- 5:56that Alec Baldwin got away with murder. To repeat, I would never even
- 6:01insinuate that Alec Baldwin got away with murder. I wouldn't even insinuate that he
- 6:08got away with manslaughter. The courts have spoken, and the courts never lie.
- 6:13The only thing that possibly can have happened here is a carriage of justice,
- 6:20the wholly uncomplicated live birth of a perfectly healthy, bouncing baby off justice.
- 6:27Nobody was thrown anywhere, especially not under a bus that there just happened
- 6:31to be a bus, and somebody other than Alec Baldwin just happened to find
- 6:35themselves under that bus. Now that we've established that this incident was entirely the
- 6:42fault of Hannah Katiera's read, now that we've established that the buck stops with
- 6:46her, is there any chance we could count how many bucks are at play
- 6:50here and how many directions from which those books might be traveling? Was Hannah
- 6:57Katia's read a diversity higher? Was she there because of her vagina or whatever
- 7:04it is she identifies as having? Did this matter come up in court any
- 7:11point? I'll go ahead and make an educated guess that the answer we're being
- 7:15given to all of these questions is no, of course not that never happens.
- 7:19I mean, it does happen, and it's a good thing when it
- 7:23can't happen here, it would never happen here. Well in Hollywood, bastion
- 7:28of meritocracy. That it is so that there's no way that the phenomenon we
- 7:34call DEI was the one that got away with manslaughter on this occasion. I
- 7:40suppose it's a compound impossibility that Alec Baldwin and communism both got away with killing
- 7:47someone that day. And yeah, maybe not. Maybe DEI isn't an official
- 7:55doctrine in the corridors of Hollywood, at least not this particular horridor. They're
- 8:01not being incentivized to hire incompetent women into positions they have no business occupying because
- 8:07they do it already voluntarily. They're ahead of the curve like that. They've
- 8:11been marginalizing and demonizing men since before it was cool, never mind mandated.
- 8:20They haven't had to be not so gently persuaded into it like Boeing has.
- 8:26And I'm sure it's a coincidence that so many planes are falling to pieces mid
- 8:30flight at the moment. And I'm sure if some old white guy blows the
- 8:33whistle on what's happening. It's another amazing coincidence if he becomes inconsolably suicidal as
- 8:39the result of his forthright and highly inconvenient honesty regarding the situation. To repeat
- 8:46and reiterate, no one ever gets away with murder, especially not communist revolutionaries
- 8:52who are determined to turn society inside out by all measures and at all costs.
- 8:58I would never insinuate such a hair brain conspiracy theory. And even though
- 9:03I can assure you I'm not suicidal, I'm sure if I die anytime soon,
- 9:09it will be from the leading cause of death among all demographics and age
- 9:13groups right now. A coincidence. Yeah, thank you again for not making
- 9:18us famous. Oh, merciful gods of RNG, your benevolence is keeping us
- 9:22alive. You know, the Tate Brothers got arrested again this week, this
- 9:26time by the UK government in its power to directly tell an Eastern European government
- 9:31what to do with those who are indeed dangerously famous. Yeah, yeah,
- 9:37I don't think I'll be going to Eastern Europe for this year's I cemi folks.
- 9:41It feels ever so suspiciously like a tarp. Yeah, I know,
- 9:43it's not in remain. It's in Hungary, and Hungary is supposed to be
- 9:48one of those last holdouts of a non communist stronghold, but so was Poland
- 9:56until quite recently. Now they're already gulagging the farmers. It's remarkable how quickly
- 10:01the tables can turn like that. Sorry, I got off on multiple tangents
- 10:05there, but hey, it's it's it's the news show. Might as well
- 10:07he had some ground to cover. Yeah, all the doomed scrolling I been
- 10:13doing lately. Day, did you hear about the cannibal holocaust going on?
- 10:18To aborder me? You? I love this. I think I think the
- 10:22rapture already happened and we're just stuck here. I think a Curatorriyama was the
- 10:26last one to leave. We the raptor happened and we were not informed.
- 10:31Uh anyway, you know, I just want to say one thing that I
- 10:35think is ironically funny about this russ thing. Alec Baldwin was famous in recent
- 10:45history or his ability to do an impression of Donald Trump. Donald Trump was
- 10:54lambasted by the media when he jokingly boasted that he could shoot someone in Times
- 11:01Square in the middle of the day and he probably would get away with it,
- 11:07and then Alec Baldwin, who does a Trump impression, shoots and kills
- 11:13someone on the set. I don't know, is that like, is that
- 11:18karma? It's just there is something about that that I think is interesting.
- 11:24It's an interesting set of circumstances. And to my knowledge, Trump has yet
- 11:30to shoot anyone, but his impersonator did. So there you go, Hannah.
- 11:35Do you want to say anything about this? Yeah, I it's it's
- 11:37good to see a woman held accountable for something that she did. She seems
- 11:45to also be being held accountable by mister Morrissey, or by miss Morrissey in
- 11:54you know, for something that she didn't do, which was controlling mister Baldwin.
- 12:03I think I hope that holding this woman accountable doesn't prevent holding mister Baldwin
- 12:09accountable. Because nobody should put their hands on a firearm without understanding what they
- 12:18are, what they're capable of, and how you should respect them. Even
- 12:24if you are using blanks, you should be very careful. Even if you
- 12:31are using just a noise maker and smoke, you should still be very careful
- 12:39because they're not toys and they shouldn't be played with. And it seems like
- 12:43that's what he was doing, was playing with it like a toy. And
- 12:48it seems like it's always gun grabbers that want to do that. Oh,
- 12:52this isn't a big deal. I can handle it. I'm going to play
- 12:54with this like it's a toy. Kaboom, Gee. I accidentally hurt someone
- 12:58or kill someone, It's it's the gun's fault. It's the fault of the
- 13:03person who put it in my hands. It's the fault of the person who
- 13:07failed to control me, not it's my fault for pointing this at a person
- 13:15and pulling the trigger. He should he should still be charged. She should
- 13:18still be facing a jury too. She it was It was right that she
- 13:24was charged and was facing a jury because she handled things incorrectly, But that
- 13:31that isn't a zero sum game. Just like if I leave my keys in
- 13:41my running car and somebody steals it and they run over somebody with it,
- 13:46we are both guilty under Ohio law. I believe it's state law and not
- 13:52local law, but I know it is true locally either way that both of
- 13:58us would be charged and both of us would be economically liable for any losses
- 14:05by the family, even though all I did was try to warm up my
- 14:11car, and I shouldn't have had to anticipate having it stolen from me.
- 14:16If I do facilitate that by making it easier, I'm still liable and I'm
- 14:24still considered guilty. You are responsible for the effects of your actions, and
- 14:33it is, like I said, it is good to see accountability here.
- 14:37At least you know she didn't get out of it because she's female. I
- 14:43wish that would happen more often. Yeah, I don't know if this sentence,
- 14:50just to reiterate, eighteen months in prison and five thousand dollars in fines,
- 14:54I don't know if that is like standard or close to the stand for
- 15:00this crime for involuntary manslaughter. It might be because of the involuntary nature and
- 15:07slaughter, right, I mean, it's it might be, but eighteen months
- 15:11it's like, what is that like a year and a half, So it's
- 15:13not too bad at all. She might get out earlier for good behavior.
- 15:20I have seen other cases locally that were similar in how short the sentence was.
- 15:28Where in Ohio, if you are the person that that administers the dose
- 15:37in somebody's overdose, that's considered manslaughter and I'm I'm not sure if it's involuntary
- 15:45or not. But some of those sentences are that short as well. Somebody
- 15:48in the chat is saying that eighteen months of the max you can get in
- 15:50New Mexico. Ah, so that we gave her a max month. Yeah,
- 15:56yeah, all right, Well, I guess wanted to give you guys
- 16:02the follow up. I don't know if what's gonna happen with Alec Baldwin,
- 16:07if there's charges against him or whatever. I remember us reporting on it before.
- 16:11As far as as far as Hannagata's read goes, I don't think she's
- 16:18DEI higher, but I do think she's a nepotism higher, so pretty darn
- 16:22similar. I think she she got the job because she knew somebody and didn't
- 16:26really have a lot of experience with that position. I think that's well,
- 16:32that's sort of the same reasons why DEI stuff, you know, goes to
- 16:37shit. So there's that, all right. With that said, we'll get
- 16:42into the next story because we have a couple that are going to be pretty
- 16:45big. So let us know what you guys think about this in the comments.
- 16:48But I did get a super child from Richard Pierre. He gives us
- 16:52five bucks and says, so after the foot licking in Oklahoma, another clip
- 16:56surface showing armpit licking, Well, that was something I didn't need to know,
- 17:02was it in the school? In the school? Why aren't there Why
- 17:08aren't there FBI agents like kicking the door to out over there? What the
- 17:12heck is going on? Anyway? So let us know what you guys think
- 17:18about this one in the comments. We're gonna move on to the next story.
- 17:22So let us know what you guys think, and I look forward to
- 17:26seeing your thoughts on this. Okay, So this is kind of a sad
- 17:30one, but we got to share it. So the anime industry mourns the
- 17:37sudden and tragic loss of Akira Toriyama, the creator of Dragon Ball, who
- 17:42passed away at the age of sixty eight due to acute subdural hematoma. A.
- 17:48Chiro Oda and Masashi Kishimoto, which are other mangaco or creators of One
- 17:56Piece and Naruto, respectively, wrote Geez expressing deep respect for Toriyama's influence on
- 18:03the anime world. Toriyama was involved in multiple projects, including the ongoing Dragon
- 18:07Ball super manga. Shonan Jump collected various tributes from creators, highlighting the significant
- 18:14impact of Toriyama's work on Shonan manga and the international spread of anime during the
- 18:19nineteen nineties. The future of dragon Ball may involve collaboration with Toriyama's son,
- 18:25Saske Toriyama, and Dragon Ball super artist Toyotaro. The anime community mourns a
- 18:30loss of a legendary creator. And you know, I know that this was
- 18:37like last week. I think late last week that we learned about this news.
- 18:41There was a story going around that I wish was true that said that
- 18:48for twenty four hours there was a ceasefire amongst cartel gangs over the death of
- 18:52Toriama. And I was like, oh, man, because you know,
- 18:56we Latinos love dragon Ball. Yeah, it's funny because uh, dragon Ball
- 19:04Z. It's not the only thing he did, but it's obviously the most
- 19:08popular. Was it was basically loved globally, universally by everyone. It literally
- 19:15like spits in the face of all of this, like DEI representation garbage,
- 19:21because it was just loved universally, like in a to a degree that I
- 19:26thought was almost unreasonable. But but like my brother loved dragon Ball, and
- 19:32I like dragon Ball, but I didn't I never got into it like they
- 19:36did so, and it had an influence on all manga in Japan, like,
- 19:41not just there, probably all over the world ever since. Like it
- 19:45was, it's not just a show, right, it was a phenomenon.
- 19:51It was a you know, a milestone in creative artistic history. There's nothing
- 19:56like it. So, yeah, man in the chat for Oriama, So
- 20:02I don't know if you guys have any thoughts on this guy, but now
- 20:07people are mentioning in the chat, you know what could be the cause.
- 20:11And it can be from something like that, from falling and hitting your head,
- 20:15or it can be from causes of medicine that you've been put on for
- 20:21high blood pressure, or from a stroke, or from car accident inflicted injury.
- 20:27It's rare that it's just spontaneous with an unknown cause. But I didn't
- 20:33see any reporting on what was the cause, so I would advise against speculation.
- 20:38And the only thing I'll say about the potential causes for it is that
- 20:44it's a good idea to be aware if you have family members that are,
- 20:49you know, maybe over over the age of fifty, over a little overweight,
- 20:56or have high blood pressure and stuff like that of the signs of stroke.
- 21:00And and obviously if you have someone close to you that's been in a
- 21:04car accident and had something like whiplash or hit their head and you know,
- 21:10or been assaulted and had their head hit, just be aware of the signs
- 21:18of brain injury or or traumatic brain injury because that can cause this this type
- 21:26of side effect. So, but it's it's not something that we know,
- 21:34or at least I missed. If there was an article that explained how it
- 21:37happened, I missed that. Yeah, I don't think there's anything goes into
- 21:44specifics. It's a thing that happened that. Yeah, it's very tragic,
- 21:52very missed that. Yeah, he will be missed for sure. And yeah,
- 21:56it just reminds you, you know, like you never know when your
- 22:00time has come, like we are not promised tomorrow. And it kind of
- 22:04reminds me of in a way, another men's rights activist that used to make
- 22:11content on YouTube named Prince of Queens, who I met at ICMI twenty nineteen,
- 22:17and shortly after he spent the whole weekend there with us in like the
- 22:22summer heat of August in Chicago, and shortly after he returned, he fell
- 22:26in the shower and died. You know, it was just like out of
- 22:30nowhere. So yeah, it is. I don't know, it is a
- 22:37shame, but I'm glad that I was alive for and I'm around for this
- 22:42kind of stuff. You know, the work that Prince of Queens did,
- 22:48I think you can feel still find his videos on YouTube, I'm not really
- 22:51sure, and they were good. And also you know Toriyama, which is
- 22:56really what we're talking about here. I mean again, uh, you know,
- 23:00it's like other manga create artists or creators like the guy who made One
- 23:07Piece and the guy who made Naruto, which are huge right now. You
- 23:12know, they said that Toriyama's work was like a great tree that branches out
- 23:18into like all you know, all four corners of the globe, and it
- 23:22has influence. And everyone loved this stuff universally. You go, you go
- 23:26to you know, like the hood, and people like they got like you
- 23:32know, uh, dragon ball z stuff like tattoos. You know, everyone
- 23:36loved it. It didn't it united people, is what I'm saying. And
- 23:41and to to add, well, we'll get to it later, but like
- 23:45the wokies hate this stuff. They hated it. Like when when he died,
- 23:48there were people like making comments about how racist his content was. I
- 23:53mean, because like, you know, no, there's no there's no such
- 23:56thing as like honoring somebody or understanding that they come from like a you know,
- 24:02a completely different culture. No, no, no, we have to
- 24:04measure them by our subjective standards. But anyway, I'm not trying to make
- 24:08this about rage. I'm just saying that, you know, his work was
- 24:12loved, He was loved. It's it's a sad thing to see him go,
- 24:17but what he's left behind will probably stick around for a long time,
- 24:21and thoughts go out to his family and his loved ones, and yeah,
- 24:26just thanks for thanks for the memories, you know. On that note,
- 24:30I thought i'd look up a few quotes from you. What I looked up
- 24:36a few quotes from the man himself, a few tidbits of poetic wisdom to
- 24:40to sort of play us out. I mind doing this every time we're in
- 24:42obituary mode. Seem sorry, sort of a poignant possibly lifted. Yeah,
- 24:48that's nice. There's a few that I found. Quote nightmares never lost.
- 24:52One day you'll wake up and there and they're gone, simple but true,
- 24:57based in white build to a real degree. Quote too much fantasy loses reality
- 25:03too much. Hope may seem somehow empty. End quote, based and billed
- 25:11to a reasonable degree, a balanced diet. It's what you really need in
- 25:15life, being in the yang. Indeed quote move well, study well,
- 25:21play well, eat well, rest well. That is the Turtle Master way.
- 25:26End quote. It is, it's generally the way. Quote. You
- 25:34can't just look at someone and determine whether or not they're a good person.
- 25:38End quote. So true. I see far too many people doing that and
- 25:42calling it a physiognomy check. And it's almost always just phrenology. It's random,
- 25:48superstitious judgment, like a horoscope that you pulled out your house or something.
- 25:53Listen to Toriyamasan. He knows all about faces. Quote. I am
- 26:00not at all particular about things like hairstyles and colors, especially with women changing
- 26:06their hairstyle or color. Is a bit too commonplace, don't you think.
- 26:10End quote. Indeed, the loll it's just asking for a physiognomy check or
- 26:15a fashion check, if you will. That's probably the old point. Quote.
- 26:21I believe that comics are entirely for entertainment. End quote. That's all
- 26:26we need to know regarding where he might stand on comics gay or the other
- 26:30case, I think I would certainly hope. So quote. I'm personally not
- 26:37terribly interested in designing wholesome characters, so I don't have many variations to offer.
- 26:42End quote. Good lad. Wholesome is cringe and gay. In any
- 26:49case, it can't be forced. It only happens incidentally. And you know
- 26:53he creates something that is weirdly wholesome because he wasn't trying. That's the point.
- 27:00Quote. I'm not the kind of person who enjoyed, who enjoys big
- 27:03crowds very much. End quote based quote. When I look at it,
- 27:10I don't really like people, and socializing is really awful. Outside of my
- 27:15family, friends and those connecteds of my job, I don't think I actively
- 27:18want to meet anyone. I've always lived in the country, after all.
- 27:21End quote, so based soupers, I love this guy. Quote. Come
- 27:27to think of it, even though I've received tons of fan letters and presents
- 27:30from everyone, I've never written anyone back. How rude of me. End
- 27:34quote. Unbelievably based beyond belief, based beyond my comprehensions. All right,
- 27:42one more for the road quote. I'd want to be born once more as
- 27:48myself, but more talented end quote. M there you go. Maybe he's
- 27:53being reincarnated as we speak in another wee Japanese badass. We are out in
- 28:00the country, this time with an IQ of over nine thousand. Oh all
- 28:11right, that's good. Any other final thoughts before we move on? Okay,
- 28:17Well, rest in peace, Toriyama, and you know, yeah,
- 28:22just your legacy is pretty much secured. I won't let them like dump dunk
- 28:30on you, all right, So I got a super chow from Rip.
- 28:34Toriyama gives us five bucks and says on trivia fact, the original design of
- 28:40the Super Saiyan did not have golden blonde hair nor blue eyes. Toriama was
- 28:44just working under a tight schedule and decided to not color in the hair or
- 28:48the eyes to speed up the work. Okay, because mangas are done in
- 28:51black and white, so they don't usually have color. So what he's saying
- 28:55is he just drew the outline of the hair, did not color it in,
- 29:00and put it out like that in the eyes as well, because normally
- 29:03you would give them black eyes and black hair. So I guess that was
- 29:07a happy accident, to be honest, Thank you for that bit of trivia.
- 29:12Rip, Toriama. All right, so let me know what you guys
- 29:15think about this one of the comments and we will move on to the next
- 29:21story. I look forward to your thoughts. So, all right, next
- 29:23story. This is kind of a bigger one, a bit more meat on
- 29:29this bone. So you might have seen this like viral video that was all
- 29:33over Twitter of this violent fight and there's but I'm going to go into that
- 29:41now. So, a violent fight near Hazelwood East High School in Saint Louis
- 29:45has left a student in critical condition with severe head injury. The incident,
- 29:49captured in disturbing video, has prompted community leaders, including James Clark from the
- 29:55Urban League of Metropolitan Saint Louis, to call for an end to violence.
- 29:59The Hazelwood School District express condolences and emphasized the need for collective efforts to address
- 30:03bullying and fighting in the community. Saint Louis County Prosecuting Attorney Wesley Bell described
- 30:08the video as sickening and a student wishing to remain anonymous, emphasized the importance
- 30:14of ending violence and seeking justice. The Hazelwood School District School District Board of
- 30:18Education has been selected to receive the twenty twenty two North County Incorporated Diversity,
- 30:23Equity and Inclusion Leadership Awards. So I want to Okay, so there was
- 30:30this video you probably saw it of these two children, these two girls,
- 30:34they were fighting on the street and there was like a brawl going on around.
- 30:37And now different people have shared this video in like different like lengths,
- 30:42like some people cut off the beginning, but it was from what we know,
- 30:48it was two girls that intentionally started to fight. So it wasn't like
- 30:52somebody sucker punched somebody else or there was a knockout game or anything like that.
- 30:56And there was a lot of like buzz because it was a black girl
- 31:00and a white girl, and so this became a kind of racialized issue based
- 31:06on that. But the way the fight goes is the black girl pins the
- 31:10white girl of the ground. She gets the upper hand and she starts bashing
- 31:12her head on the concrete and the girl is convulsing and spasming and laying on
- 31:18the ground. Okay, if you guys have seen the video, you know
- 31:22it's violent. I don't want to show it on here because I don't know
- 31:25what will happen if I do, so I'm not going to I'm just gonna
- 31:26have to describe it. From what I understand, the white girl who had
- 31:30her head bashed in, she ended up in a hospital. She's still in
- 31:33the hospital. There were people saying on the net that she died, but
- 31:38but as far as we know, that's not the case. She is in
- 31:41critical condition according to the last report. Unless there's something new that recently came
- 31:48out. Okay, now, all of that being what it is, it
- 31:51became a discussion about, you know, racial violence and this other stuff.
- 31:56And sure there is some there is we can talk about that because it's it
- 32:00was only made available or like made known by social media, not the news,
- 32:06like the mainstream sort of like you know, what do you call it,
- 32:09cable news, like like CNN's, the MSNBCS. They weren't covering it.
- 32:14It was only local news and people sharing on social media, which of
- 32:16course is convenient because you know, unless white people want to burn down a
- 32:22target, that's not like going to be a problem. However, that's that's
- 32:27not really what I'm interested in. What I'm interested in is this. I'm
- 32:30gonna share this with you guys. So this school district received an award.
- 32:37So and this is the the link here, and it says the Hazelwood School
- 32:42District Board of Education has been selected to receive the twenty twenty two North County
- 32:46Incorporated NCI Diversity Equity and Inclusion Leadership Award. The Board has spent many hours
- 32:54working to provide strong governance and support to the district and community in the areas
- 33:00diversity, equity and inclusion. Doctor Nettie Collins Heart, Superintendent of HSD,
- 33:05seid this award recognizes the Board's commitment to ensuring that our district respects and appreciates
- 33:10the diversity in our employees and students and provides an inclusive environment. This is
- 33:15the board's second award for its work and diversity, equity and inclusion. In
- 33:19November of twenty twenty one, the board received a twenty twenty one Outstanding Government
- 33:22Achievement Award from the East West Gateway Council of Governments. So is this DEI
- 33:30award And this whole thing is set up around the not only the staffing,
- 33:38not only the hiring, but also the treatment of the students. So if
- 33:44there was a girl, this black girl that smashed this white girl's head in,
- 33:49if she had a history, because I don't think this came out of
- 33:52the blue right of of this kind of behavior. The DEI policies would make
- 34:00it difficult to correct the behavior because they have to essentially like she is of
- 34:07a protected class. And I'll say, like I did some substitute teaching,
- 34:12and in the schools that I've subbed for, you're not supposed to put like
- 34:16we're not allowed to touch the students at all, but the students are generally
- 34:22like well behaved. You know around here, this doesn't really happen, but
- 34:27I think here you have a well, let me see if I can explain
- 34:31this. So since there was a racial equality policy that they passed in twenty
- 34:37twenty one, it's stemmed from the statement of solidarity. The board has engaged
- 34:39in vigorous exchanges of ideas and taking concrete action steps to progress diversity, equity
- 34:45and inclusion efforts in the district. Throughout the process, the board has been
- 34:47insistent that HSC stakeholders be an integral part of the process. So this this
- 34:54is like think okay, think of it like this. A lot of blue
- 34:58cities across the country after the Floyd Riots, there were policies that were changed
- 35:06at the state and city levels to essentially ensure that there would not be any
- 35:10more police violence or police brutality, Okay, and to do that, they
- 35:15went soft on crime. This is the same policy, it's just applied at
- 35:20the school level. So this incident that happened probably couldn't have been avoided completely
- 35:27if it weren't for this DEI ESG stuff in the schools, because it's affecting
- 35:32how the teachers and how this faculty and staff can essentially discipline the students,
- 35:39which is to say, if they're black, they can't because that would be
- 35:44targeted, you know, targeted based on race. Right, even if the
- 35:46odds are higher that black students are going to be more violent, which statistically
- 35:52avoided, it was arguably caused by these Yes, I'll get into that when
- 35:57you finish the run. Yeah. Well, anyway, I'll let me let
- 36:00me just wrap this up because I'm pointing out why this is unique because I'm
- 36:06you know, people are just looking at the violent act, but I'm saying,
- 36:07like this is a policy issue. Okay. So the Hazelwood School District
- 36:14or the board, recently improved the district's first diversity, equity and Inclusion Action
- 36:17plan. The Hazelwood School District Board of Education is built for this journey,
- 36:21said Diane Livingston, President of the Board. We are firm in our commitment
- 36:24to create a nurturing, diverse, equitable, and inclusive learning environment for all
- 36:30HSD students and employees. HSD Board of Education will accept the award at the
- 36:34forty fifth Annual NCI Leadership Breakfast on May sixth, twenty two. The last
- 36:37thing I'll say to that, to add it is that this DEI stuff,
- 36:42this like you know, approach is it's in schools across the country. This
- 36:49school won an award for it, so it's like extra extra hands off,
- 36:53get it. So anyway, that's the rite up. I don't know if
- 36:55you guys follow what I'm saying, but yeah, yeah, but always till
- 36:59after Mike has his say, Like you said, I should think we've all
- 37:04seen the footage by now, maybe even with the sound on. Oddly,
- 37:07the sound is kind of the most disturbing thing about it, that ringing crack
- 37:14of skull against concrete. It was it was a pose, a poor choice
- 37:20of words when they said the Board has engaged in vigorous exchanges of ideas and
- 37:25taken concrete action steps to progress diversity, equity and inclusion. Yeah, that's
- 37:31kind of exactly what we saw and heard in that video DEI taking action right
- 37:37on the concrete steps. It's like that one scene in American history X,
- 37:42except it's race swapped, as so many things are these days. Also generous
- 37:50also, it's what is it real? It actually happened. It is not
- 37:53fictional. It's very real. A very similar thing happened to George back in
- 38:00the day, if he wasn't armed, would have been the exact same thing,
- 38:06and we never would have heard about it because because the white guy would
- 38:08have died. I mean, although we only have have Zimmerman's word for it.
- 38:15So yeah, I guess I'm speculating. But by now we've I'm sure
- 38:22we've all seen many many videos online of men fighting in the street of all
- 38:27ages, and I've never seen them do that. Even when men are mortal
- 38:35enemies, they still have enough of a conscience, enough of a sense of
- 38:38fair play not to use a concrete slab as a weapon. If your opponent
- 38:45so much as accidentally hits their head on the ground hard enough to make a
- 38:49noise like that, the fight is over. This chick was I don't even
- 38:55know what was going on in her mind. How do you not know that
- 39:00you're killing someone at that point? I mean, maybe she was actually trying
- 39:05to kill her one way or another. She clearly just didn't give a shit.
- 39:12It's almost as though she's been taught that other people don't matter, just
- 39:16as though she somehow got it into her head that she can do no wrong
- 39:20because she's female, and she can do no wrong to white people because they're
- 39:24white. Might that be exactly what she's being taught in that school? So
- 39:30sometimes it's called DEI, sometimes it's called CRT. Sometimes it's called something something
- 39:37studies. It doesn't matter what you're renaming it to. In the latest attempt
- 39:43to worm out of what you're doing. How many times can the people you've
- 39:46designated as lower on the hierarchy get brutally beaten by the people you've designated as
- 39:53higher before it occurs to you that this caste system of yours is in some
- 39:59way response for any of this at the moment is looking like never, because
- 40:05every time it happens, you push it even further. These people never ask
- 40:08themselves when has it gone too far? They never even think to ask it
- 40:14because they don't have an answer other than never. No matter what happens.
- 40:19It's never too far. When you've reached that point, you have chosen the
- 40:23form of your destructor. You cannot and will not realize the error of your
- 40:29ways until the moment it is killing you. And even then you'll just blame
- 40:32it on white men. With your last fucking breath, you will still cling
- 40:37to the lie that has killed you. We just we need to walk away
- 40:44in any capacity in which we're still allowed to walk away, and that very
- 40:49much includes never letting your children anywhere near a school, especially not a school
- 40:53that does this, that deliberately divides its students into this hierarchy and turns them
- 40:59against each other, and forever claims they're doing the benevolent opposite of the evil
- 41:06they're clearly committing. Because there is no end in sight to that madness.
- 41:10It will persist beyond the excesses that you thought were even possible. Let's break
- 41:19out the C. S. Lewis quote. I'm sure you'll know the one
- 41:22things that it too describes, a nightmare of which the man himself could not
- 41:28have predicted its aptitude. Quote of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for
- 41:35the good of its victims. May be the most oppressive. It would be
- 41:38better to live under rubber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The rubber baron's
- 41:44cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated. But
- 41:49those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end, for
- 41:54they do so with the approval of their own conscience. Quote discuss. I
- 42:04will point out a few things in regard to violence. There there are there
- 42:10are guys that will be this violent. They're usually messed up in some way
- 42:15or another. That's not normal, but uh, it is sadly normal for
- 42:22for girls and even women in fights to do shit like that. Guys grow
- 42:31up testing each other's boundaries and learning that you don't do you don't cross certain
- 42:37boundaries in a fight unless you want to give the other guy permission to cross
- 42:43those boundaries too. And and like I said, it's it's the guys that
- 42:47are truly messed up that that cross them. And they're usually the ones that
- 42:52will mug you in the street and uh, or or fight back when there's
- 42:59no way of winning against a mugger in the street, or get violent when
- 43:06they're drunk and then there's another behavior that happens with fighting. There's a level
- 43:12of rage you can hit or a level of fear you can hit that causes
- 43:16you to completely lose your mind in terms of your actions, where you don't
- 43:23think about what you're doing, you don't have an attachment to what you're doing.
- 43:30And it's the most dangerous state of mind because you lose the ability to
- 43:37moderate your actions in that circumstance. And you're very lucky if you if you've
- 43:46experienced that, you're very lucky. If you've been stopped, or if you've
- 43:52come to your senses before you kill someone, then you only have to remember
- 44:00the look on their face and the way they screamed before you stopped. But
- 44:09unfortunately, with this particular situation, that type of rage and that type of
- 44:16fear are being indoctrinated into people on the basis of race, and on the
- 44:23basis of sex, on the basis of religion, every aspect of DEI.
- 44:31They're not just telling people that this or that demographic doesn't matter. They're telling
- 44:38people of certain demographics to hate them, to be afraid of them, to
- 44:45resent them, to want them dead, to feel not just hard done by,
- 44:53but damaged wounded constantly by them, wounded by their existence, wounded by
- 45:01their presence. And they're telling those demographics to view the perpetrator demographics, the
- 45:13oppressor demographics, whatever the label is, as tainted by virtue of existing in
- 45:19their demographic. So you're not just looking at when you look at this,
- 45:27you're not just looking at a fight. You're looking at a political history.
- 45:30You're looking at one girl who may have been taught to view the other girl
- 45:37not just as someone who doesn't matter, someone she can take her frustrations out
- 45:43on, but someone who actively deserves punishment for who she is and what she
- 45:51is, and someone who has, by virtue of existing, caused her harm
- 46:00that she should be retaliating against that kind of rage. Inflicting that kind of
- 46:08rage on someone falsely artificially. It's every bit as cruel as what they're doing
- 46:16to the kids in sex education, who they're convincing, oh, yeah,
- 46:22you you have gender dysphoria, when they don't. This is demographic dysphoria.
- 46:30In a way. They're putting upon children and adolescents an experience that nobody should
- 46:39have to go through, and they are putting upon their compatriots in class who
- 46:45could have been their friends who they could have good memories with, who they
- 46:51could have great reunions with, five, ten, fifteen, twenty years later
- 46:55and catch up. What are you doing now? Oh I'm doing this?
- 46:58What are you doing now? Oh? I'm doing this. Isn't that great?
- 47:00Right? No, they are killing their childhood, killing their good spirit,
- 47:09their healthy spirit, their chance to be happy together as as people who
- 47:15enjoyed the same experiences growing up. They're destroying their childhood and they're robbing them
- 47:24of experiences that I had relationships that everybody has a right to choose how they
- 47:31form. It is one of the cruelest things about modern politics. What is
- 47:39being done to our children in the name of politics. I wouldn't wish that
- 47:45kind of memories on anybody, and I wouldn't wish being on the other end
- 47:47of it on anybody. And now two kids have permanently learned to hate and
- 47:55fear each other. And I will bet that if the adults in their lives
- 48:01hadn't interfered, they would never have developed those reasons. That breaks my heart.
- 48:14Yep, that's true. Well, And I think two lives have been
- 48:21ruined by this because I'm guessing that the girl who did the assault is going
- 48:27to be you know, tried for something will follow up when we learn more.
- 48:31And the girl who's in the hospital, if she survives, she's probably
- 48:35never going to be the same. If she survives, well right now we
- 48:38don't know, but we'll see. It didn't look good one of them.
- 48:43Neither one of them is never going to be the same. If even if
- 48:45a girl who engaged in the violence isn't held as accountable as she should be
- 48:51held, she will still she'll hit she'll hit our age, and she'll have
- 48:57those memories, and she'll have a filter of adulthood to look back through at
- 49:05those memories. Ya, and she will never forget what she did. She'll
- 49:12just have to be ashamed of it for the rest of her life. Well
- 49:15hopefully she might not be, which is even more darker. But also it
- 49:22might make her a harder, more yeahs, less readable person too entirely,
- 49:30and she could take that out on her kids or god knows what. So
- 49:34we'll see, but yeah, let us know what you guys think about this
- 49:37in the comments. And I got a big super chow from Meredith gen I
- 49:44got it to it fits though, so that's cool. She gives us ten
- 49:46dollars. Thank you, Meredith, and says HPI News four four seven.
- 49:50Gatara's read was a diversity slash nepotism higher. Here is my problem with the
- 49:57verdict. I'm concerned that Baldwin and other producers will not be held accountable.
- 50:01The job in question calls for two armorers, not one that is also doing
- 50:06other prop work. That decision meant instead of spending thirty thousand dollars per person,
- 50:10they got one person who the jobs of all three, and an experienced
- 50:15armorer would have cost more. This is the advantage of diversity hires. They
- 50:19can be cheap. Who made the budgeting decision the producers of which Alec Baldwin
- 50:22was one, along with his agent who has also budgeted a six figure salary
- 50:28for the film. And it's a perfect storm because a young female with hypoagency
- 50:32is the right kind of idiot to be at the center of a tragedy that
- 50:36would have been prevented or could have been prevented by hiring experienced men who have
- 50:40no problem enforcing safety on spoiled movie stars. This was about getting cheap labor
- 50:45and diversity points to maximize profit and make sure their egotistical asshole who is behind
- 50:52this project is never told. No, Yeah, that's I think that's right.
- 50:57And I mean Alec Baldwin is the producer, so he the buck stots
- 51:00with him, which was what we said, you know previously as well.
- 51:04So we'll see what happens. I think that I think they are going to
- 51:07try and pass the buck though, thank you, Meredith, really appreciate it.
- 51:12Mitchell Bierre gets is five bucks and says, at least the black girl
- 51:14didn't catch a bullet from a police officer to trying to intervene in the equivalent
- 51:19of a teenage knife fight like happened in like what happened to Ohio. Yeah,
- 51:22I remember that from like a while back. Every time something like this
- 51:25happens, there's basically just the media just sees it as an opportunity and the
- 51:30grifters and the race vaders and the ambulance chasers and all of that, and
- 51:36it just it just needs to be the right kind of scenario, you know.
- 51:40But it didn't didn't work out. I mean, it's a it's a
- 51:45really tragic thing that happened, but at least I guess it's not resulting in
- 51:50a spring of love. But we'll see and know, I've been saying this
- 51:55for since the beginning of the year. Something will inevitably happened this year and
- 52:00it will be used to create a gigantic crisis, and I mean, like
- 52:07worse than twenty twenty because it is twenty twenty four. Anyway, let us
- 52:14know where you guys are cheering up for it. Oh, absolutely, there's
- 52:17well they've they've already created the conditions for it, Like why do you think
- 52:21the border's open? Yeah? Yeah, So let us know what you guys
- 52:25think about this one in the comments. I'm going to move on to the
- 52:29final story, and I look forward to seeing what your thoughts are. So
- 52:34all right, so we're gonna be talking again about gamer Gate, but now
- 52:39it's official, and this is kind of a big story and I think it's
- 52:45important. So I've been covering a little developments on the channel Honey Badger Arcade.
- 52:51Please subscribe to Honey Badger Arcade. There's a link in the description so
- 52:54you can see, like, you know, lots of the little stories that
- 52:58I've been covering, as well as things that are sort of related but not
- 53:00directly, like the notion or the ideas of stochastic entryism, you know,
- 53:07as a means to like get in to these industries. But anyway, Mike
- 53:13J provided this write up. So it's amazing to think that it's been a
- 53:17decade since the consumer revolt focused on ethics and video game journalism better known as
- 53:22gamer game began. But an unexpected series of events, a dodgy video game
- 53:25consulting firm, a community of fed up gamers, one Steam curator group,
- 53:30and a bit of sleuthing has reignited the supposedly dead firestorm. It all started
- 53:36towards the end of January when Steam user Cabrutis started both a Steam group as
- 53:42well as a curated Steam list. Steam is, you know, it's a
- 53:45program you can use. It's like an online store you can use to buy
- 53:50and play games. So in case you don't know what Steam is, some
- 53:52of you guys are boomers. So theemes curator function allows users a place to
- 53:58have all of their reviews or games collected in one area so that other users
- 54:01can see it. So I can make a durrated you know, Steam page,
- 54:06and I can put like, oh, here are all the games I
- 54:07played, and here are the ones I like, and here are the ones
- 54:09I don't like or whatever right, pretty pretty straightforward. It's basically like a
- 54:14good way to advertise your products to but through word of mouth, because if
- 54:19my friends like something, then I'm probably more likely to like it or whatever.
- 54:22Strangely, Cabrutus only had one metric in his reviews if the game in
- 54:28question had any relation to the video game consultancy firm, Sweet Baby Inc.
- 54:32Or not. In fact, the only games reviewed were games that had some
- 54:38connection to Sweet Baby Inc. And none of them were recommended by him.
- 54:43But there was no malice implied by these reviews, no calls to action,
- 54:46no harassment against the consultancy firm or the game studios that they were linked to,
- 54:51not even a suggestion of boycott. The about section was simply one sentence
- 54:55that reads a tracker for games involved with Sweet Baby Inc. To brutus esteam
- 55:00curation page and Steam group page, both of which use the same name Sweet
- 55:06baby Inc. Detected and both remained rather inactive for most of February, but
- 55:09then it was picked up by the wider internet and Sweet baby Inc. Themselves.
- 55:15Before we continue, it's important to learn exactly what sweet baby Inc.
- 55:19Is, and that can be rather confusing. If you trust Sweet Baby Inc.
- 55:23They are nothing more than the Canadian based video game Narrative Development and Consultation
- 55:28studio, and their mission is to help bring inclusion and diversity into the narratives
- 55:32of the games that they work on. For example, if a game is
- 55:36to feature a group of people from a certain ethnicity, they would look over
- 55:38things such as character dialogue and interactions to make sure none of it is accidentally
- 55:44racist and therefore protect the game developers from their own ignorance. And while on
- 55:49the surface that is what they claim to be, in practice they do the
- 55:52opposite, from shoehorning in so called diverse characters, deriding straight white male characters,
- 55:58which the CEO openly does all the time by the way, she hates
- 56:01straight white men, and overall making the game worse. Sweet Baby Inc.
- 56:07Has had their fingers in some of the worst games of the last few years,
- 56:10such as much of such as the much derided Suicide Squad Kills the Justice
- 56:16League. If you find it strange that a company like that can exist or
- 56:21is even instill in business, it's important to know just who is pulling the
- 56:23strings and making these payments. Looking behind Sweet Baby Inc. We find another
- 56:29company, Baby Ghosts. Baby Ghosts bills themselves as a peer accelerator, offering
- 56:34grants, mentorship, and professional connections to marginalized developers in order to combat bias,
- 56:38barriers, and systemic norms. Looking at the eligibility for such a grant,
- 56:44recipients must be Canadian from a minority group, have at least two members,
- 56:49and be building a video game studio with a cooperative model. Applicants must
- 56:52also be interested in making a social impact and place an emphasis on community.
- 56:58So we have a company that plays this is a large emphasis. I'm bringing
- 57:00in non white, diverse minorities to work on game design, and they seemingly
- 57:05have a lot of money to throw around as they are offering grants of up
- 57:07to two hundred and fifty thousand dollars. But the question must be act asked,
- 57:14who is behind them? Behind Baby Ghosts, we find Weird Ghosts.
- 57:19Weird Ghosts is yet another funding group dedicated to empowering Canadian minorities to shape the
- 57:23feature of games. So very much like Baby Ghosts. Looking at the people
- 57:28behind Weird Ghosts, one name in particular stands out Eileen Mary Helloka. Aside
- 57:36from referring to herself as a queer and disabled, white settler living on Treaty
- 57:38one Territory in Winnipeg, because when you're Canadian, you have to tell us
- 57:43what whose who's stolen land you live on? She is the sister or I'm
- 57:49sorry, she has only one notable connection to the video games industry. She
- 57:53is the sister of Alec Holoka, who is Alec Holoka. Alec Heloka,
- 58:00for those who don't know or who have forgotten, was responsible for the smash
- 58:04hit indie games Night in the Woods and Aquaria. Alick is also known for
- 58:07being accused of abuse sexual in nature by former girlfriend Zoe Quinn, a name
- 58:15most people should recognize. Alec would eventually because his life was destroyed by this,
- 58:20commit suicide over the allegations. And we now know that his sister inherited
- 58:24his multi billion dollar gaming company and created all these ghost startup companies in order
- 58:30to further infect gaming with her progressive rots. Fast forward back to the scene
- 58:36creator curator group Sweet Baby Inc. Detected. Once they caught the attention of
- 58:39the media and Sweet Baby Inc. Themselves, they became the victim of a
- 58:44campaign of harassment which aimed to see both the Steam page and the creator banned.
- 58:49So just I don't know if he points this out because Mike J did
- 58:52the write up for this, but I interviewed Cabrutus on my channel Honey Badger
- 58:59Arcade yes yesterday. There is a stream. We went for about an hour
- 59:01and I spoke to him and he lives in Brazil, and he was telling
- 59:06me that in Brazil video games are very expensive and so because Brazil money is
- 59:12shit because they have a commie in power right now because they apparently stole the
- 59:16election from Bolsonaro like a while back when they took over recently. But that
- 59:22is another conversation entirely. But the point is his games are really expensive,
- 59:27and if they banned from Steam, he will lose access to all of his
- 59:30games, his whole library. So they're not just like kicking him out of
- 59:34in a community they're taking. They're literally stealing from him if they kick him
- 59:37off off the platform. So anyway, I'm gonna go. I just wanted
- 59:43to put that out there so they aim to see him both the Steam page
- 59:46and the Curator band. This charge was led by another ghost from gamer Gates,
- 59:52pass Maya Felix Kramer aka Lego Buds, former crony of Zoe Quinn and
- 59:58Anita Sarkisian and Kiss Chris Kindred yet another ghost with connections to all the aforementioned
- 1:00:05companies. Despite the rallying efforts, Steam officially announced that no action would be
- 1:00:09taken against either the Curative Page, the Curator's Page, or Cabrutus himself.
- 1:00:15In the wake of this, the usual progressive gaming website started up again decrying
- 1:00:19the Steam Creator group and its creator while defending Sweet Baby Inc. Oh they
- 1:00:22called them harassers, sexists, misogynists, racist, conspiracy theorists for you know,
- 1:00:30basically saying this is what's happening. And there's more to that too that
- 1:00:35I could get into later. But ultimately this drama could have been a great,
- 1:00:38big nothing, But due to the meddling of the terminally offended and the
- 1:00:43srisean effect that prompted such armchair detectives to do some digging, we might just
- 1:00:46have ourselves a gamer Gate two point zero. And I want to add to
- 1:00:52this as well that Sweet Baby Inc. And all of the affiliates associated with
- 1:00:55it are not simply trying to get remove people removed from the platform, and
- 1:01:00they're not only you know, going to all the usual suspects Kotaku, The
- 1:01:05Guardian, the Gamer, PC Gamer, there's lots of others. They people
- 1:01:09on LinkedIn have been threatened if they discuss this topic. They have the Department
- 1:01:16of Homeland Security looking into it. So this is like turning into something pretty
- 1:01:22major. But on the plus side, I will say that, unlike in
- 1:01:25twenty fourteen, people that are involved in this appear to be well aware of
- 1:01:30what we're really up against, and that it's not just about ethics and journalism.
- 1:01:36Okay, but anyway, that's all I will say about that. It's
- 1:01:39interesting you're a terrorist now if you have a profession or a hobby and area
- 1:01:47of interest, right, a major thing in your life that's very important to
- 1:01:52you. And when somebody from outside of that that's not involved with you,
- 1:02:00that doesn't have your interests in mind, that doesn't have the welfare of the
- 1:02:08area of interest in mind, doesn't have the welfare of the hobby or the
- 1:02:13profession or whatever in mind, They're just they've got a totally different thing in
- 1:02:16mind and they want to insert it in that. If they attempt to do
- 1:02:22that, and you notice like not even object, not even say you're not
- 1:02:28welcome here, not even say I'm not participating in what you're doing. Just
- 1:02:30you notice, now you're a terrorist for noticing that's where the goalposts have moved
- 1:02:37for them. That should tell you how much consent means to them. They
- 1:02:45don't just want to do it without your consent or against your will. You're
- 1:02:53not even allowed to express awareness that it's happening. That's that's pretty nefarious right
- 1:03:01there. Yeah, and they can't stand the notion that the could look Cabrutus
- 1:03:08I interviewed him yesterday. Okay, I gotta tell you about this guy.
- 1:03:12He is not a political like philosopher. He is doesn't he doesn't have an
- 1:03:19interest in any of the stuff that we talk about. He's just a guy,
- 1:03:23just a regular guy. He's about as regular as it comes. And
- 1:03:27all he just cares about, like you know, when he invests money in
- 1:03:30a game, he wants it to be good. And he had a bad
- 1:03:34experience and he was like, who's behind this? And he saw a pattern
- 1:03:37and he shared it and he was like, look, you know, I'm
- 1:03:39not into this stuff. No one ever called for a boycott, no one
- 1:03:44ever said you can't support these people. All they did was say, here's
- 1:03:47a list of games that they've worked on. And by the way, Sweet
- 1:03:52Baby Inc. Is not the cause. They are simply a symptom because there
- 1:03:55are plenty of companies just like them all over, not just the video games
- 1:04:00industry, but basically every industry. It comes back to that they do this
- 1:04:05stuff to get money from companies like Black Rock. That's what that's what they're
- 1:04:12doing. Because they're not selling games, just like the movies, like the
- 1:04:15movies that tank, it doesn't matter because they get their payola from Blackrock,
- 1:04:19from these gigantic conglomerates that are trying to Essentially what they're doing is they're trying
- 1:04:26to engineer culture by changing behavior. And so when you say look as a
- 1:04:30as a you know, a person who lives in a market where I can
- 1:04:34still decide how to spend my money, I'm not going to spend it on
- 1:04:38that. That's what they don't like. So it's not it's not that they
- 1:04:42don't like that you don't like their product. It's that they don't want you
- 1:04:45to be able to choose. They want to force you to do what they're
- 1:04:48going to do. You know, live in the pod, eat the bugs,
- 1:04:51and play the shitty games. So that's what I's no that's not what
- 1:04:57I think. That's what's happening. That's why they're mad. It's a it's
- 1:05:00the same thing is happening in other areas with other things, like there's there's
- 1:05:04a local grocery store that I will not name in this area that is slowly
- 1:05:09eliminating products that are not their store brand, and it's I've been watching this
- 1:05:15happen for the last ten years, Like all of the cheese that is not
- 1:05:20their store brand of cheese except a few select choices, have have disappeared.
- 1:05:27And I have a feeling that those few select choices have paid to be on
- 1:05:31their shelves or given them a break to be on their shelves, because when
- 1:05:35I worked in grocery distribution in a pharmacy of all places that sold groceries,
- 1:05:45that's that's how a lot of things got on the shelf, was that they
- 1:05:48gave a deal or gave a break, or gave a kickback in order to
- 1:05:56get there. But it's interesting to watch because you know, you make an
- 1:06:01effort to get the things that you want, and you know you complain,
- 1:06:06well, these things aren't on the shelf anymore, and they will tell you,
- 1:06:10well, it's because nobody's been buying them for the last so many months.
- 1:06:13Well, yeah, you haven't had them on the shelf for that long.
- 1:06:15It's been off the shelf for six months now. Well, it's been
- 1:06:19off the shelf because nobody's buying it, And when it's really the other way
- 1:06:24around, it's nobody's buying it because it's been off the shelf. If they
- 1:06:29take over every corner of your hobby or your profession or your area of interest
- 1:06:35and find ways to insert a thing you don't want into every available outlet and
- 1:06:43every available product, every available interaction with the thing that you're interested in,
- 1:06:49that takes away your ability to choose their absence, It takes away your ability
- 1:06:57to choose engagement with your interest without their interference. And that's what's happening here.
- 1:07:05Different companies come in and insist that every outlet, every product creator,
- 1:07:15every publisher, every engagement with you the public be done through them, or
- 1:07:24include them, or involve them, or be guided by them. And now
- 1:07:29they're mad because people are noticing, and people might object, people might want
- 1:07:34something they didn't have control over. And that is basically how that they force
- 1:07:41you to comply by taking away your option of non compliance, and again,
- 1:07:51consent doesn't matter to them. That is essentially how you override someone's consent without
- 1:08:00them realizing it, How you override someone's objections without them being able to stop
- 1:08:06you, is you cut off every avenue they can take to object You cut
- 1:08:14off every alternative until there is no way for them to do the thing,
- 1:08:20whatever the thing is, there is no way for them to have the thing
- 1:08:26without complying with your demands. And it's when they insert it into hobbies and
- 1:08:33people complain, well, you know, the argument is, it's just a
- 1:08:36hobby, why are you so mad? Except it is some people's profession,
- 1:08:41right, And they're not just inserting it into hobbies. They're inserting it into
- 1:08:46your workplace. They're inserting it into your banking, they're inserting it into your
- 1:08:51media, they're inserting it into your social media, like there is no area
- 1:08:58of your life. They're inserting it into your medical treatment. You can't go
- 1:09:02to the doctor without consenting to this by default because you don't have an alternative.
- 1:09:14You can't go to a pharmacy and get medication for your medical conditions without
- 1:09:17this. You can't go to the grocery store and buy food without this interference.
- 1:09:25There is no place left that is not being interfered with, not even
- 1:09:30your church. So when people act like this is something that's not nefarious,
- 1:09:41that people are going overboard objecting to that, you're not being tolerant of other
- 1:09:46people when you don't allow this to take over your hobby, your area of
- 1:09:54interest, your workplace, whatever it is that you're looking at at the Momentuly
- 1:10:00doing is pretty much the same thing that child molesters do to children when they're
- 1:10:04grooming them. They make you the bad guy for saying no. They make
- 1:10:10you a bad guy for having boundaries right. They make you a bad guy
- 1:10:15for noticing what's going on and noticing that something might be wrong about it and
- 1:10:25speaking up about it, even just quietly, even saying you're doing this to
- 1:10:30me. Not I object to you doing this, just you did this,
- 1:10:34that's it. They're objecting to you even being aware of what is happening.
- 1:10:45That is terrifying. And again, you know, I'm glad that you pointed
- 1:10:53this out. If you know, it's easy to dismiss this as simply affecting
- 1:10:59video games, but like Hannah said, this is much bigger than that.
- 1:11:02So I'm if you are here because I know that there are some people there
- 1:11:09that might know me from or are here because of like Honeypatcher Arcade stuff that
- 1:11:14I've done. I hope you realize that the scale of this is bigger and
- 1:11:18there are there's plenty. This is the thing that I think is a little
- 1:11:21bit heartening is that there are content creators more that are more vocal, and
- 1:11:27they're more hardcore, and they're less cucked that I'm talking about this, and
- 1:11:30they're really sick of it because it's you know, this has been a pattern
- 1:11:35in our culture for like the past decade at least, and people are really
- 1:11:41sick of it, and they're doing some digging and they're and they're figuring this
- 1:11:44shit out. I'll make some recommendations. I would look up Kyle l See
- 1:11:48uh it's I'm gonna spell this wrong. See why A. E. L.
- 1:11:54Nerd wars Is is very good. Uh. And I think even the
- 1:12:00side scrollers has been doing some stuff, so you know, check that stuff
- 1:12:03up. Cabrutus is cool. I think that he's just a normal guy that
- 1:12:06got swept up in something. He's probably gonna be like backing away, and
- 1:12:12I get it because it's there's a lot and it's very heavy. So all
- 1:12:15I would say is, you know, in the meantime if you are.
- 1:12:19And oh, by the way, it's worth pointing out that this stuff only
- 1:12:21happens in male hobbies like this, this stuff only happens when men invest in
- 1:12:28something and men get excited about something. That's the first thing to go because
- 1:12:32women are not going to stand up for them so or at least not in
- 1:12:35not in droves. Yeah, that's the thing. It's happening in male hobbies
- 1:12:40because when people approach women with this stuff like they they don't, they don't
- 1:12:46object to it as as much. They don't, They just go along with
- 1:12:50it. Right, You have to change what you're doing. You have to
- 1:12:57basically change your hobby so that even the nothing in your hobby is about politics.
- 1:13:02Our whole political set of ideals has to become entrenched in it and part
- 1:13:09of it, and your hobby has to become about that primarily, and the
- 1:13:13hobby itself is now secondary to it. Right. Uh. For for silvertongue
- 1:13:18who doesn't understand what this is that we're talking about. If you go back
- 1:13:24to the point where we read the gamer Gate two article, where Brian read
- 1:13:30the gamer Gate two article that explains what this is. Yeah, but I
- 1:13:36just kind of gave a summary there as well. We're just we're just trying
- 1:13:41to protect ourselves from cultural vandalism iconoclasty. It's like you remember when was it
- 1:13:46isis that went into temples and were like destroying, you know, statues.
- 1:13:51This is that you know when like when like environmental activisations of that. Yeah,
- 1:13:57like you know when environmental activists like based like put you know, like
- 1:14:01grease or paint all over like classic works of art like the Mona Lisa.
- 1:14:06Yeah, that's what this is. It's just in our in our well,
- 1:14:10in our culture and our popular culture. So yep, unless but yeah,
- 1:14:16it's it's Dave Well you yeah, you can what he says. You're broadcasting
- 1:14:24live. I can't go back until the stream ends. How long have you
- 1:14:28been listening to this stream? You can go back a little there the stream,
- 1:14:30because I would advise starting at an earlier point. You can do that.
- 1:14:34You actually can click back and re listen, and you can even set
- 1:14:39it on a faster speed so that you can hear it faster. If you
- 1:14:43can listen faster, some people can, some people can't. But that then
- 1:14:47that would catch you up eventually, So go ahead, brief point, don't
- 1:14:57forget last time this happened, the small domino became the big domino and we
- 1:15:02ended up meme magicing ourselves into a Trump presidency and Brexit. It's so yeah,
- 1:15:11it's long overdue. Oh I don't look at Yeah. I know people
- 1:15:16that are in denial about the connection, but I can tell you this is
- 1:15:20why, by the way they're getting they're freaking out so much. I've gone
- 1:15:24through a number of articles where, well, we'll get into it in the
- 1:15:28Patron Show, but there's definitely a number of articles where the journalists are like,
- 1:15:32oh my god, no, not the harassment campaign. And it's an
- 1:15:36election year. We're all going to die, you know, Orange Man.
- 1:15:43So yeah, we might we we. I don't. I don't want to
- 1:15:45say anything. All I'm saying is these people should be out of our hobby.
- 1:15:49And I don't know what to do other than tell you, guys,
- 1:15:53to make sure that you are are are informed before you spend your money.
- 1:15:59That's all. I'm not gonna tell you what to spend your money on them.
- 1:16:00You can do whatever you want, but be informed before you make a
- 1:16:05decision. And you know, I would say, look, at double A
- 1:16:10developers or even like indie developers more if that's what you're interested in. But
- 1:16:15anyway, with all that out of the way, I guess we will look
- 1:16:20at your superchows and wrap it up. Let make sure I didn't miss any
- 1:16:24rumble rants, because for some reason the rumble rants don't come through. No,
- 1:16:26I did not get any, and I don't think there's any super chats
- 1:16:30either. All right, so I did get one superchow. Yuh, Vivian's
- 1:16:40gonna leave. Oh, that's the wrong one. She goes bye. I
- 1:16:43got a superchow from Richard Bierre gives us five dollars and says perhaps this is
- 1:16:47a factor in why so many games are online only and you won't be allowed
- 1:16:51to have a physical local copy in your possession because the copy in your possession
- 1:16:55can't be altered post purchase. The online update process is some case does alter
- 1:17:00appearance of characters super particular developer preferences and can override what is stored on the
- 1:17:04physical media. Non network devices are becoming the best options. Yes, I
- 1:17:10think that's right. If paying for a game means you don't own it,
- 1:17:15then pirrating a game is not theft. I would certainly never insinuate that you
- 1:17:21should pirate games. Pirate games. I would never insinuate those two. Was
- 1:17:28that an echo? Is there an echo in here games? I'm just repeating
- 1:17:31the words pirate games because they was in my senses that I'm saying you should
- 1:17:35never do that. Pirate games. That is the thing you should never do.
- 1:17:43Don't ever pirate games. All right, Well, anyways, so thank
- 1:17:48you for the super child, and we're going to wrap this up and head
- 1:17:50into the Patron Only Show, where speaking of gamer Gate two, we're going
- 1:17:56to be looking at this article from well, this is from Dual Shockers Dual
- 1:18:02Shockers entitled baltos Key. Three mods that glow up faces are my pet peeve.
- 1:18:10There's a couple of other ones, but they're a little too deep.
- 1:18:13But all I'm saying is get ready because the gamers are dead. Articles are
- 1:18:17here and they're gonna keep coming, and we are doing this dance again,
- 1:18:23but hopefully this time we will finish it. So thanks guys so much for
- 1:18:28coming on the show. I hope I see you in the Patron Show,
- 1:18:30either in the live chat on YouTube or the Discord chat. If you guys

- 1:18:54to burden the main channel or this channel with that news because this channel has
