- 0:00Well, let's find out how weird we are. Okay, guys, I
- 0:02think we've already answered that. People are like, y'all lost me. I'd
- 0:07grease my throat. Every Monday, we do a little thing called is it
- 0:12weird? Where you know, we all have those things we do in our
- 0:14private time and we kind of think to ourselves, plaice, it's weird.
- 0:17It might be the only one who does this, so we like to open
- 0:19up about it and really just find out. So, Amanda, you have
- 0:23something you're going to throw your in laws under the bus. Yeah, it
- 0:26was not me that was weird. Over the long holiday weekend, we drove
- 0:30to Iowa, rolled up to my in law's house, so this would have
- 0:32been Tuesday, late night, and we really hit the in law lottery.
- 0:36Sure did. When I went met my wife or dad lives in Florida.
- 0:39How exciting. Yeah, you got in laws in Iowa's Oh yeah, no,
- 0:42it's awes middle of Iowa beautiful. Yeah, just any excuse to be
- 0:46able to vacation there and totally yep, exactly. No if you're listening from
- 0:51Iowa anyway, roll up and we're unloading the car, and I just happened
- 0:59to glance because they were like, oh, we'll have dinner for you whatever,
- 1:00And look over and there's just like a huge thing of mashed potatoes sitting
- 1:04on the counter. So keeping this is Tuesday night, a couple of days
- 1:08before the big meal. Yeah, so I'm like, I get it.
- 1:11There's twenty five people. Uh, Mama Lou was just mashing up potatoes,
- 1:15getting them all ready hand mashing. I'm not sure because they were already mashed,
- 1:19so I don't know the process. I did always insisted on hand mashing.
- 1:23Yeah, listen, nobody's trying to cut calories on Thanksgiving Day. Be
- 1:30generous with the butter and milk, okay for God's So speaking of that,
- 1:34that's usually how you make mashed potatoes, right, butter, milk. Some
- 1:37people add a little sour cream. Oh yeah, I'll love those dairy products.
- 1:41Not us. It was like basically you took a whole raw potato and
- 1:44like kind of cut in half a couple of times. See. Now I
- 1:47wouldn't be as concerned if it was just the raw potato. But again,
- 1:51this is Tuesday night and there's this big, huge pot of potatoes just sitting
- 1:56out mashed up. Tuesday night. Yeah, went to bed. Yeah,
- 2:00woke up on Wednesday, still sitting on the Oh, come on, sitting
- 2:06there? Yeah, not sure, gone into the fridge and come back out
- 2:09for some more preparation. No, no, no, I don't think they
- 2:12were touched. Wednesday goes by and I'm just kind of like okay, and
- 2:15then they're working on the stuffing and that's just kind of like sitting there,
- 2:17which is fine, like whatever, there's it's a process. Thanksgiving is a
- 2:22process. Wednesday night comes around, stop it. Those staters still just sitting
- 2:30around, just for the world to see, right on the counter. At
- 2:35this point, I text my sister in law and just say, hey,
- 2:38we might be short of potatoes if you want some extra because I'm not eating
- 2:44these potatoes. They've been sitting there. No, just wait, Thursday is
- 2:50Thanksgiving and they're still just sitting there. And I think they heated them up
- 2:53at some point, like just tossed him in, but they were just sitting
- 2:58out. My brother in law did mention and like, ooh, they were
- 3:00had a little weird flavor, and I'm thinking, yeah, that's something ill
- 3:04on my friend sitting there for days now, I am putting away all the
- 3:09food like we're putting things in tupperware. We still have. Believe it or
- 3:14not, the mash potatoes hadn't really been touched, so they were in this
- 3:16big bowl. So I thought they were just going out to either the dogs
- 3:21were gonna eat it or because they've got labs or something. This thing of
- 3:24mashed potatoes sat on the counter. We did not leave until yesterday. Saturday
- 3:29night. We're watching the Iowa State game and I pop in get a little
- 3:32extra wine in my glass, and I see my father in law get in
- 3:36this bowl and he's eating the mashed potatoes. Come on that we're out on
- 3:40Tuesday. What am I missing? Even if they're instant mashed potatoes, which
- 3:45they weren't, you can't survive. I don't think it's a bit. I'm
- 3:49not worried about the potatoes. I'm worried about the dairying. There is your
- 3:54father in law still with us? I mean, I haven't heard from him
- 3:57since last night. But I mean it's weird. I see my stepdad's kind
- 4:00of the same way. We talk about this, like the leftover thing,
- 4:03leaving the food out. Maybe they just have rock guts, you know what.
- 4:08I don't know what it is. And did you eat the rest of
- 4:10the meal, because now I'm like questioning everything I did with the things.
- 4:14Yes, this reminds me of like, did you you know I love sequels?
- 4:16Did you ever see the Scary movie sequel? No? Scary movie?
- 4:19Too scary movie. It's an incredible franchise. But the second one, there's
- 4:25the guy preparing the meal and he's got kind of this hook hand and he
- 4:29serves these potatoes and he's stirring it with this with this deformed hand. And
- 4:33that's sort of the vibe I'm getting from your in laws. No, I
- 4:38I just in facts think that this is weird, so I thought i'd bring
- 4:41it up. I don't I think that is weird? All right, Well
- 4:44I can't hardly beat that, But I mean, is it weird that I,
- 4:49uh, that I sit in the front seat of ubers by myself.
- 4:54Yeah, they let you in the front seat. Oh, if you kind
- 4:57of force the issue, they will. What do you mean force the issue?
- 5:00What they have to like? They like? For example, they have
- 5:02to have it available because if you have an uber X and you got four
- 5:05people, you don't go four deep in the back. You gotta have somebody
- 5:09sit up front. Did you have another Uber incident an incident. First of
- 5:14all, no, I have a still I still maintain a four point nine
- 5:16star rating as an Uber ride. We know what happened to the There was
- 5:19one incident earlier this summer where I got into it with the guy who rudely
- 5:24woke me up after I had fallen asleep in the five minute ride home,
- 5:28screaming at me like you had just seen a ghost. But now, why
- 5:32would you why would you want to sit next because I like, are you
- 5:34playing with their radio having a little chit chat? You get in the back
- 5:38seat. Well, Saturday night, we went out and met some friends in
- 5:41Moorehead, had a lovely time, and responsibly got an Uber home. And
- 5:44I knew that I hadn't really eaten. I was feeling a little woozy,
- 5:46and you know, me and my car stuff very car sick, and so
- 5:49I knew that if I was in the back seat, we might have an
- 5:53issue, got it? So I saddled up in the front. And you
- 5:55can tell you it's kind of weird about it. I'm gonna have a tummy
- 5:58issue if I don't sit in the front. You don't get a four point
- 6:00nine star rating by getting in the car and telling them you're about to throw
- 6:02up, right, No, that's out of curiosity. You keep that to
- 6:05yourself. But no, no, we had a nice level you ride.
- 6:09I couldn't tell you what the person looked like. You don't remember the ride
- 6:12whatsoever, But I don't worry. But you were in the front seat.
- 6:15I can just see you programming Big ninety eight point seven on all of the
- 6:19pre sets, like Amanda in the morning, Big ninety eight point seven,
- 6:24you're ready, ready, that's he is piping hot today. Now Amanda stills
- 6:30the sea. Let's see brought to buy a Valley Service mechanical. Well,
- 6:35yesterday Taylor Swift wrapped up her heiress to her in Brazil and the family of
- 6:42the girl who had passed away a couple of weeks ago from cardiac arrest.
- 6:45They were under the VIP tent. They were all wearing shirts of the twenty
- 6:48three year old's face on it. And you can only imagine that was just
- 6:51one gesture that Taylor Swift probably did. You know what I mean, She's
- 6:55not going to be the one to share everything because she does this stuff a
- 6:58lot, very nice things that you know, it's not for the publicity.
- 7:00She's just able to. You know, she's in a position to do good,
- 7:02and she does good, yes, and something just so horrific, and
- 7:06she probably feels to blame, even though you can't point fingers at her.
- 7:11It's just the fact that that fan was there to see her. I mean,
- 7:14that would be so hard. She's very protective of her fans, so
- 7:15she probably feels some sort of responsibility for them when they're at her show,
- 7:18which is just a horrible Obviously, you know she had no control over it,
- 7:24Yeah, exactly. And so now she's going to be on a break
- 7:27until her Tokyo show, which is going to be Super Bowl weekend, she
- 7:30gets out of here. So is she going to be at all the Chiefs
- 7:32games? Now that's kind of the question people are wondering. And if she
- 7:35is, is it finally going to be like, Okay, Taylor's just at
- 7:39the games? I hope. So what more can we say? I mean,
- 7:42haven't they milked it dry already? Amana? When't you say they've milked
- 7:44it dry already? I think it's a it's something there. What Chiefs play
- 7:49Sunday Night? Sunday Night, it historic lambeau Field where they'll be playing the
- 7:55Red Hot Green Bay Packers. So I mean, is she going to go
- 7:58to a game knowing full well that going to lose. Oh stop, it'll
- 8:01look like a bozo privius Kelsey probably won't even have a catch. Oh whatever,
- 8:05he will have a catch, and I have a feeling she might go,
- 8:09I don't know, we'll see, oh he's got a catch, all
- 8:11right, Well yeah right, we'll I'll be waiting to find out. But
- 8:13she has her birthday coming up on December thirteenth. No pressure at all,
- 8:18Travis Kelce. But what do you get Taylor Swift for her birthday? Probably?
- 8:22I mean the girl who can get anything she wants. I mean,
- 8:26I feel like you just gotta go super casual, like just send her flowers,
- 8:30do something not over the top. But it's like we're just together and
- 8:33celebrating. What would be something he could get her that would ruin the ViBe's
- 8:37like renree or something. I don't know. But her focus right now is
- 8:41on her fans on her birthday. So if you did not see her eras
- 8:43concert to her, the film is going to be available to watch it at
- 8:46home, and she added three different songs on it, so you'll be able
- 8:50to get your hands on that you guessed it on her birthday. Oh so
- 8:54December, isn't that your birthday? Also? I no, mine's three days
- 8:56later, so you have plenty of time to celebrate Taylor's birthday. And then
- 9:01my birthday. It's on a Saturday, so you'll be fine. I gotta
- 9:03think of something. I won't be here. Oh yeah, And not only
- 9:07do you not get me gifts for my birthday, you actually throw alternative parties
- 9:11and invite the people that were supposed to come to my party one time for
- 9:13what you're not twenty It was my twenty first birthday. Nobody came because Amanda
- 9:18invited everybody else to my house to her house for a house party. She
- 9:22was like twenty five or somebody. But you showed up and I fed you
- 9:24blueberries. I was sitting at the Cadillac Ranch by myself on my twenty first
- 9:28birthday, so of course I had no other honors. I lived in Frontier
- 9:31at the time. Do you know what a hike that was to get to
- 9:35the Cadillac Ranch on a Friday night. It's eleven minutes. Just get it
- 9:39right on twenty nine. Now it does, but before it was it was
- 9:41far anyway. Bradley Cooper. He is sitting down for a bunch of interviews
- 9:48and one one guy asked him, Hey, why why is he doing a
- 9:50bunch of interviews. He's promoting in a film. He's in a film.
- 9:54Yes, I cannot think of the name of it. But he was asked
- 9:56if he'd want to do a Hangover another one, and I said, yeah,
- 10:00I'd love to do Hangover five, and then he kind of back darts,
- 10:01He's like, oh, we should probably do Hangover four first. Well,
- 10:05if you want to do two things in order, I suppose, But
- 10:07I also went, huh, I miss Hangover three. Hangover three they ended
- 10:11up back in Vegas for some reason not remember. It was definitely the most
- 10:15forgettable one. The first one is an all time classic, absolute classic.
- 10:18The second one was pretty good. Whether they're in Bangkok, Thailand as we
- 10:22were just talking, did you see that somebody is talking about doing an ELF
- 10:26remake? Like? Why remake some of these that are just classics? I
- 10:30know, the Hangover I get if you're doing a sequel with the same guy
- 10:33of that, that makes sense to me. Even if one of the guys
- 10:35dips out, you can still make that a classic. But Elf, yeah,
- 10:37I don't see the need for that, even a Barbie, did you
- 10:41see Margo? Robbie said that Barbie will probably not be getting a sequel,
- 10:43which not that she was in charge, but she is Barbie. Yeah,
- 10:46and you don't need to It was just a good classic movie. Does it
- 10:50need to be done again? I mean not all sequels are good, but
- 10:54some were home runs, such as Home Loan two, American Pie two,
- 11:00Scary movie too, I mean Angerman two. You lost me at Angerman Actually,
- 11:05scary movie is hilarious. Really yeah, well one didn't get me.
- 11:09He did say he loves the guys he'd love to do and he said,
- 11:11however, he doesn't think it's gonna happen, because I think it's Todd Phillips
- 11:15does not of all the actress it again, I think that's Doug do Doug,
- 11:20Yeah, the guy that's in the first five minutes of the film.
- 11:22Then they find any excuse to cut out for the very rest of it until
- 11:26the last scene that guy, so you meaning Doug. Maybe Doug passes and
- 11:30then they go and celebrate his life and just move on. Oh guess yeah,
- 11:31you Doug, you don't want to do the movie, Todd, Guess
- 11:33what Doug's dead, and we know she's a wild card of the family.
- 11:41Northwest, she uh is just a razin the met Gala looks and on the
- 11:46Kardashians the other night, and she was talking about some of them, one
- 11:50of them being what could have been her stepdadd hat it you're going to the
- 11:56met gallape station. Oh doesn't he still have a tattoo of Northwest name on
- 12:05its well? Yeah, which first of all was just an insane thing to
- 12:09do. And now she's no. And I don't know if you remember the
- 12:13look, but Kim Kardashian had all these pearls just hanging on her, kind
- 12:16of like a belly situation. Yeah, North was not a fan. I
- 12:20like the pearls. I just don't like that it looks like from the dollar
- 12:24store. You give me a real live set of pearls and a dollar store
- 12:28set of pearls. You can you can tell me you can be able to
- 12:31tell the difference, especially as a nine year old. Come on, now,
- 12:33yes, we know the difference between what's a real pearl necklace and not.
- 12:37Yeah, okay, gee, I've seen a real pearl necklace and it
- 12:41doesn't look like that, or it does it does it does. It does
- 12:45look like that, Amanda in the morning on Big Well, now, I
- 12:50hope you all have soliday, made some more memories, some holiday memories with
- 12:54the family. With the long Thanksgiving weekend, I know we both had a
- 12:56great time. Amanda made the long road trip to premiere destination absolutely the middle
- 13:03of Iowa. Yeah, no, it it was good. We left on
- 13:05Tuesday. We like to go a day early just because of the travel.
- 13:09It's about eight and a half hours and then to kind of regroup. It's
- 13:13just a lot. When you get there, it's Thanksgiving bam, and then
- 13:16you're gone. I don't think it's a because you got a four and a
- 13:18three year old. Yeah, how on earth did they do that? Okay,
- 13:20so the way there was a real struggle. Buss picked them up from
- 13:24daycare and I thought, oh, for sure, they'll want to take a
- 13:26quick nap. So my husband said something along the lines of, hey,
- 13:31we'll be there if you take a good nap, you know what I mean,
- 13:35Like it makes the time go by. So I think they decided,
- 13:37let's take a short nap and then we'll just be there. That's how that
- 13:41works. Each slept for maybe twenty minutes. We were jamming out to some
- 13:45old school music. We were playing the game where there were actually a lot
- 13:48of hills in Iowa where we were at, so every time we'd go up
- 13:50the hill, the kids acted like they were on a roller coaster. I
- 13:54mean, I pulled out all the mom stops. Really did you? Lauren
- 13:58and I we drove to Duluth, you know, and we were quizzing each
- 14:01other on the state capitols. Did you guys do that? U? No,
- 14:03we were. We went around said what we were thankful for, We
- 14:07did the you know, Santa Christmas List? What else do we do?
- 14:11Played a game like I found this game where you have to ask your kids
- 14:13a bunch of questions about yourself thirty minutes else, what did you do for
- 14:16the rest of the eight hours? At one point, though, after we
- 14:20lost Big ninety eight point seven, we were cranking up some old jams throwbacks
- 14:24and uh, Booty Booty, Booty Booty rocket everywhere. Miss New Booty came
- 14:28on and I am just dancing right and Sydney's kind of like interseat, kind
- 14:33of concerned, like what's mommy doing anyway? I look at my husband,
- 14:37I go that was one of my ring tones back oh and your daughters.
- 14:43What that is? What is that? Mom? What's a ring tone?
- 14:46Anyway? Just good old fashion did you man? Ring tones? And that's
- 14:50why now we still weren't even halfway there. By the time we wound god
- 14:54well, four and a half hours. Did Luth was plenty for me driving
- 14:56across the state of Minnesota two lane highway. You know, every h every
- 15:00grand parent on the way to their family's Thanksgiving going. We had a lovely
- 15:05time. It was good. I mean, d Luth, Minnesota truly a
- 15:07gem. I mean like, I'm thankful that my in laws are from there
- 15:09because it's so fun. So yes, and we always want to go.
- 15:13I saw, did you go to Bentleyville? We did Friday night. We
- 15:16went to Bentleyville, which is like their massive light display. I posted some
- 15:20of the videos, but it's like, man, if you weren't in the
- 15:22holiday spirit, yeah, go to Bentleyville. It's insane. They literally it's
- 15:24like a million dollars a year they spend to build this giant walk through light
- 15:28display. Santa Claus is there. They got all these fire pits where you
- 15:33can make you know, s'mores hot chocolate. I feel like my kids might
- 15:35be still a little too little for that trek, because you would go on
- 15:39a Friday and be back on a Sunday. I feel like that needs to
- 15:41be where they aren't stopping every few minutes. No, of course, yeah,
- 15:45but no, it was an overall lovely time of the in laws.
- 15:48We even got out. We went to on Thanksgiving night. You know,
- 15:50I know, like Mix does it locally where they open on Thanksgiving evening for
- 15:52us degenerate who want to get out of the house and have a couple of
- 15:56cocktails. So we went to a local dive bar and you know, it's
- 15:58fun. Get is like Lauren going back to her hometown where everybody kind of
- 16:03gets together. Or does she still have friends there? Yeah, a little
- 16:04bit. So there was a few friends of hers and her siblings who are
- 16:07out, and you know, one of them was interesting Amanda. She had
- 16:11an interesting proposition for Lauren and I the sister No, no, no,
- 16:15a friend's is just a friend. Yeah it was. I had not found
- 16:19myself in this particular predicament before. But she wanted to go to your in
- 16:25laws for she wanted to go, and because she wanted to take the party
- 16:30and just kind of narrow it down to just the three of us in any
- 16:33ways, Thanksgiving night that went into luth You know, I didn't know how
- 16:38to handle Yeah, I was just I'm gonna ask her you handled that situation.
- 16:42More importantly, how did Lauren handle that situation? Did you just go
- 16:45I don't know. I think please I tell you. I sent her a
- 16:48text. I'm like, you know what's going on here? Right? I
- 16:51know we never this is new for us, So what is protocol? You
- 16:55know, It's like when you have a house fire, you gotta have a
- 16:56plan. Did you gotta have a plan? Were you yelling banana banana?
- 17:02Look? Do you guys have a safe work? Might have been sending the
- 17:07wrong message if I started yelling banana banana like a Manda in the morning on
- 17:14Big Nutty eight points. Well, I know Amanda wants to debate the fact
- 17:18that it is, in fact the season of love. What you know,
- 17:23those Hallmark movies, that's what it's all about. No, that is true.
- 17:26I apologize. That was really a ridiculous statement I had made. I
- 17:30just Valentine's Day one day, okay, Santa, and then it goes into
- 17:34melentin's' it's Santa and love. Okay. There's a lot going on here in
- 17:38December. And if you're looking to make a woman fall in love with you,
- 17:42I got a few tricks for you. Not that you want to trick
- 17:45a woman into loving you. That's not the best way to go about it.
- 17:48But if you did want to, it's like a trap. You fallen
- 17:52in love with the man before. Tell me if these things would work.
- 17:56One know what her favorite outfit is with you in it? So her favorite
- 18:02outfit that you wear? Oh god, I thought you were being dirty for
- 18:06a second, like your favorite outfit that you're in. No, we don't.
- 18:11Don't put on her clothes, although that might work too. You know,
- 18:14I knew back in the day. You know what Lauren would really would
- 18:17go wild for Amanda? Yeah? Yeah, yeah, we'll throw a backwards
- 18:22ball cap on and a black v see. No, you I get this.
- 18:26My husband, especially when we're going out on a date. The outfit
- 18:30he wore when we went on our first date. Oh really, he'll throw
- 18:33on that. It's like a cream like shirt or whatever, like cream jacket
- 18:37he wears all the time. Cream jacket. Your husband has a cream jacket,
- 18:41does he not? No, you're getting him confused. Somebody else wore
- 18:45a cream jacket off, and we used to laugh at because it was very
- 18:48overeaxcized. That's right, you know, it's just in general rule of thumb
- 18:52wear a big cream jacket or every once in a while if he's wearing salmon
- 18:57like a coral color, always like, hey, mama, it does look
- 19:02good with his eyes, doesn't it. Love It another way to trick a
- 19:04woman into falling in love with you. Talk about special times you've spent together.
- 19:10Oh, totally, remember those special moments you shared. We'll bring them
- 19:12up, talk about him. That's always fun, right, were reminiscent just
- 19:15to take you back? Yeah, we were. When we were traveling through
- 19:18the holidays, it was like, gosh, remember our first Thanksgiving which was
- 19:22only six years ago, and how different life is, but how fun it's
- 19:26still. Oh yeah, it's just kind of cool to reminisce as you're going
- 19:30through the holiday season. Holidays are great for reminiscy because we all have special
- 19:33memories. We went up to Duluth, first time i'd been there, I
- 19:36think literally since we got married there four years ago. Really, so yeah,
- 19:40a lot of reminiscent there. A man. Another way to make a
- 19:41woman fall in love with you, put your dirty laundry in the hamper.
- 19:45Nothing a woman loves more than when a man is clean and neat. So
- 19:49true. Yeah, it's funny though, because sometimes those socks they just can't
- 19:53quite get in there. Everything goes like right by it, but you just
- 19:56can't quite put it in that camp. It's bizarre to me that men just
- 20:02and every time I mention it, it's like, I don't want to mess
- 20:04up your system. Here we out of system, Okay, don't want to
- 20:07mess up yours. Don't mind all my clean clothes sitting on top of the
- 20:11dryer currently, because well, I gotta be honest, man, I don't
- 20:14even have a hammer. Yeah those boys, I do have a sack.
- 20:18You still have the old college set. Yeah, the old college sack.
- 20:22It's still in the mix, okay, And so I just don't use it.
- 20:25It's just such a hamper for the holidays. There you go. Put
- 20:27the toilet seat down, another little trick that I've actually been embracing more years
- 20:32into our marriage. I'm just now thinking, you know what, I can
- 20:36just leave the seat down. And honestly, the older you get, the
- 20:38more you appreciate a good sit down. Number one as a man. Yeah,
- 20:42I mean it keeps everything cleaner. Te. I mean, it's much
- 20:45more comfortable. I appreciate that. Yeah, I love my son who he's
- 20:51just just barely tall enough for it. It's like sometimes, wait to go,
- 20:56brigsy, boy, you did it eighty percent of the time. Come
- 21:00on, buddy, you gotta get a little bit tuller. Or he'll just
- 21:03jump on and ride it dirty. It's like great, now, no,
- 21:06no, tell me more about riding it dirty. Where his face is towards
- 21:10the back end of the toilet like a slater stuff. Thank you. He
- 21:14just like jumps on. It's like, I mean, and honestly, why
- 21:17wouldn't you. It seems like the right way. Occasionally you can kind of
- 21:21lean on the toilet tank if you're really tired. Take a little nappy.
- 21:25Absolutely, I took a bathroom napp yesterday. Another way to make a woman
- 21:27fall in love with you put the top back on the toothpaste tube. And
- 21:33that goes for ladies two k it does. I will admit, Nick cannot
- 21:37stand my toothpaste skills because I push it in the wrong direction, like I
- 21:42just grab it and push. He's there's no system. What are you talking
- 21:45about? No, no, no, you have to push from the bottom,
- 21:48roll it up when you get to the end. No, like,
- 21:52in general, he does not like any of He has a weird we should
- 21:56each have our own tube of toothpaste at this point in our marriage. I
- 22:00mean, that's not a bad that's not a bad system either. But I
- 22:03will say toothpaste it's sort of a great metaphor for life because you really just
- 22:07take it for granted when it's full, you know, when it's easy.
- 22:11You don't have to roll the bottom up or rub a deodoran stick against it
- 22:15to try to push any little bit out of it. You really have to
- 22:18appreciate life while your toothpaste tube is full. Take a second to think about
- 22:22that. This is deep. Yeah, we got one with charcoal in it.
- 22:26I don't know what that's. No, it's supposed to like really keep
- 22:29your teeth white, man. Could they could? They could say just about
- 22:30anything on that toothpaste package. I'd be like, oh, okay, wait
- 22:33a minute. All you're getting all the terms out with this one. Charcoal
- 22:37carbon dioxide. Sign me up. And also the final thing, a man,
- 22:41if you want to make a woman love you wear well fitting clothes.
- 22:45That's key for a man. Good thing my husband doesn't have that oversized cream
- 22:49coat like it a minute in the morning. On tipping has gotten lit out
- 22:57of control. That is the well known, especially at certain you know,
- 23:00establishments that would generally be categorized as fast food. And this is why it's
- 23:06an issue, because you got things happening like this where a woman in Atlanta
- 23:10went to a subway get herself a little subsanduis. She wanted the Italian sub
- 23:14Now, Amanda, you know, five dollars foot lungs are a thing of
- 23:18the distant past. So she got herself a six inch for what she knew
- 23:22was a total of seven fifty four. Now, this lady, because you
- 23:26can just save your order. Now, I went into a subway recently.
- 23:29I'm like, it's all on there and you can save it, log it.
- 23:32It's crazy, Okay, chill. This isn't a subway commercial, no
- 23:34I know, but I this was like new, how much are they paying
- 23:37you? Na? So this lady vera anyway, she got her total,
- 23:41and you know, if you've been to a subway recently, they're asking for
- 23:45a tip, like a lot of people, and so she thought she had
- 23:48left a small tip. But when she had noticed her credit card statement later
- 23:52she had been charged not seven fifty four, but seven thousand, one hundred
- 23:56and twelve dollars and ninety eight cents. Oh my gosh, how does something
- 24:02like that happen? And who has a credit limit that you're like, you
- 24:04didn't notice that? What imagine being able to use a credit card with a
- 24:11charge like that and max her credit score must be just a gazillion? I
- 24:17guess, well, but how do you get it back? I mean,
- 24:18there's I have a lot of questions here. Amanda la Vera. She first,
- 24:22of course, had the reaction needed. She said, oh my god,
- 24:25how did this happen? And then she realized that the tip in the
- 24:27tip line looks familiar. She had put her phone number, or at least
- 24:33part of it, in the tip line, hence the seven thousand dollars tip.
- 24:37Oh gosh, it doesn't know. Obviously, you're gonna get that money
- 24:41back, but it's like, what if? That's my question. It's because
- 24:45it was a tip, and if you're getting it on your credit card statement,
- 24:49that could have been a month out right that money go. We're gonna
- 24:52give it to you without taking it from the workers, because you know,
- 24:56it's a season of give, and what person working in some way isn't gonna
- 25:03go, uh ma'am what they might not have noticed, you know, because
- 25:07you're gonna notice if you get an extra seven thousand dollars tip for the day.
- 25:11I always wanted to do they see on the other side of the screen
- 25:14how much you tipped, of course, because it's like the most awkward thing
- 25:17in the world, you know, and I feel like it's they're watching you.
- 25:19I was recently somewhere and let's say it was eighty dollars, and it
- 25:23automatically popped up and there's no it was twenty twenty five or custom tips,
- 25:32not even ten or fifteen percent anymore. People, it just goes right up
- 25:34to it. And then I couldn't find the no thanks anywhere because it didn't
- 25:38feel like this was a tipping situation. And when you looked at the custom
- 25:42tip or the twenty or twenty five, it was like an extra twenty bucks
- 25:47or something. I'm like, I know, I'm already spending this much money.
- 25:51And my problem is when it's something that's already so overpriced, like if
- 25:53you're at an event or a wedding or something and you're getting drinks and you're
- 25:56let's say you're getting drinks for two and it's like twenty bucks or something,
- 26:00and all you have the options for are twenty twenty five thirty percent. So
- 26:03now you're talking five dollars tip for two drinks? Can we not? If
- 26:07anything can be held? You know, Holy it should be that it's a
- 26:11dollar per drink, regardless of how much the drink is, depending on the
- 26:15situation. Well, this lady vera. She said that the Subway manager repeatedly
- 26:19refused to discuss the issue with her. She received a denial letter when she
- 26:23disputed the charge with a credit card company. I bet because she's sinking seven
- 26:27grand. Think of all the presents her kids got. Well imagine now.
- 26:32Bank of America, the issuer of her credit card, said they reached out
- 26:34to Subway and its corporate offices waiting to hear back. Oh so this is
- 26:40still a pend. This situation, this is a this is unresolved. You
- 26:44might say, that's wed good luck lady like a man in the morning.
- 26:52Come, I'll get up on dig. But it is that time, of
- 26:56course, now that is post Thanksgiving. Can we all three, it's time
- 27:00to get into the holiday spirit. But Amanda, the Santa Claus hotline is
- 27:04open. Speak of the Devil. Yes, mister Claus has agreed. You
- 27:08know, we have a deal with him. We pay him annually to be
- 27:11able to have a direct line to the North Pole with our Santa hotline.
- 27:15And if you tried to call over the weekend it was full. Don't worry,
- 27:18we got it all opened up. So the number seven oh one four
- 27:21nine nine six nine zero three, this is my favorite. We get to
- 27:25play these back all the way up through Christmas and it just brings so much
- 27:29joy to my face because people that have kids, it's just first of all,
- 27:33you can barely understand sometimes what they're saying, and then to find out
- 27:36like what the hot toys and stuff are. But you know who knows is
- 27:38mister Santa Claus myself. So when you call that number, this is what
- 27:41you'll hear. Christmas. This is Santa Claus and you have reached my personal
- 27:52hotline. We have been very busy making all of those toys to deliver on
- 27:57Christmas morning. Don't be good and don't hug it. To always listen to
- 28:03your parents. Would you hear the tone? Please leave me your Christmas gift
- 28:07wishes and holiday chair and remember kids, I know who's been naughty and nice
- 28:17very Christmas, and I'll see you soon. Well you know why it's usually
- 28:22sometimes full because parents like me call continuous, like did you hear what Santa
- 28:27said? Oh, he has all sorts of good, real messages for the
- 28:30kidd exactly. But that's him, that is the man, Santa Claus.
- 28:33So then you gave your kid the phone, they leave the voicemail and I
- 28:36want to play this one because it was just hilarious. This kid obviously had
- 28:38called more than once and this is what he said. Hia, I told
- 28:44yesterday, but I didn't forget to mention these two things. Oh it's the
- 28:51games that I've been wishing for to be separate. And I did not mention
- 28:57a picture Ripped ninety five with an Oculus question too no idea sounds like video
- 29:03games, and yeah, I love that this could has just been like up
- 29:07all night thinking, God, you know, I asked for two games,
- 29:10but it needs to know that they could be separate if they need to be,
- 29:12you know what I mean, Like you can't you can't both one will
- 29:15do for sure? I mean that's not both or I don't know my address,
- 29:21but I do know my apartment number. It's thirteen. Thank you,
- 29:26Santa. So you know you got a little to work with Santa thirteen.
- 29:30You'll find him. I'm sure you know. He knows where you're at.
- 29:33He sees you when you're sleeping, and he'll figure. That's the best part
- 29:36about Claus. And I've seen you deliver all too many kids and it might
- 29:45even it might be harder this year. So I'm wishing you good luck bye.
- 29:49I mean, listen, he was up all night just it's gonna be
- 29:52tough. He already knew it snowed a little. He's like, ye could
- 29:56be some does he know about some farmer's alman Act conditions we don't know about?
- 30:00He must he's off all that, probably got a little phone Google and
- 30:03how many kids are in the world, And he's thinking, my god,
- 30:06how is Santa gonna find my apartment when he's got a billion kids? But
- 30:08you don't thank you. He finds a way. So the Santa Claus hotline
- 30:11is open if you want your kids to leave a message for the man himself,
- 30:15and the number is seven oh one four nine nine six nine zero three.
- 30:19Wipe and Amanda in the morning on Big seven trending. Now here's what
- 30:26you need to know. Well, Pike, another reason I'm happy to be
- 30:29a Galaxy girl. I don't have to worry about this iPhone issue that law
- 30:33enforcement agency is. We're spreading come on all over the country. I saw
- 30:37people sharing this over the weekend. This recent iOS seventeen update has a set
- 30:41feature called the name Drugs Drop, so after you do the update, it
- 30:45automatically goes to on after completing the update, and a lot of people do
- 30:49want that off. They're saying for their privacy and other reasons. Now you
- 30:52can talk and speak more to this because you have an iPhone. Basically,
- 30:56to put in layman's terms, this was a feature designed by kidnappers for kidnappers,
- 31:03and you need to immediately throw your phone in the garbage to light down
- 31:07fire. Why would law enforcement agencies be so concerned? I was so I
- 31:11was so annoyed over the way, like the panic. The panic people just
- 31:15think like, oh, we got one, here we go, I get
- 31:19it, downplay it. But you're downplaying it. You're basically saying that your
- 31:25child could get kidnapped if you don't shut this off. Correct. Yeah,
- 31:27Now, basically before if you want to like Let's say I meet a guy
- 31:30named Jimbo at the bar and I want to exchange my information because I think
- 31:33it's a cool guy, and I want to go, go, oh hey,
- 31:34Pike, let's meet up on the course this summer. I can like
- 31:37share my contact I get to have him just write my phone number down.
- 31:41Now you can put your phone on top of each other like they were mating,
- 31:45and an option will pop up on your phone to transfer the contact data
- 31:49to your phone. The Galaxy. We've been able to do that for years,
- 31:52see exactly. Yeah, how many children have gone missing in that show?
- 31:56Yeah, I don't ever use ninety five percent of the features on my
- 32:00phone, so I was unaware of that. I thought this was more of
- 32:01like a location situation. So basically, you're gonna have to accept it,
- 32:06right Like you're gonna have to be a willing participant. God, it's not
- 32:08like if your kids walking through West Acres that people I was wondering their content.
- 32:13Everybody's just suddenly gonna have everybody's contact information. It's not gonna be like
- 32:16that. So let's, of course always be careful, especially when it comes
- 32:21to kids and their technology. So please turn it off if it concerns you.
- 32:24But I'm just saying it wasn't quite the You're making it sound like maybe
- 32:29it was blown out of proportion a bit. Well, people just like to
- 32:31get all worked up about stuff like this. That is a lot of people
- 32:36blown up the internet over the weekend because in Forum they do their best of
- 32:39the Red River Valley and they were released all of the winners through the weekend
- 32:43and their special edition. And I had a good chuckle about it too when
- 32:46people are like, oh my gosh, the best Italian restaurant in Fargo is
- 32:52Olive Garden. Wow. But then I started thinking about it because Grazzi's isn't
- 32:55here, Toscan is not here? What Johnny Karnos that for a long time,
- 33:00that was my favorite. And I get like, yeah, geddy,
- 33:01Western is new and I heard it's amazing. I have yet to go there,
- 33:07But that wasn't even yet. I don't think a thing win this exactly.
- 33:09I mean, you got al Tony's in Morehead or Tilworth or whatever,
- 33:13en so, but that's not Fargoe, right. There's a couple of options,
- 33:16but honestly, like, there wasn't a lot, you know, And
- 33:19I am not too good for the oligard. And the quite frankly bottom line
- 33:22is that when you're there, your family and so I get well deserved.
- 33:27And you know, that's probably why we got nominated, because when you're here,
- 33:31you're family and you're putting up with us. And we were nominated for
- 33:35the best Local Radio I mean it's not just nominated victorious. We took on
- 33:38best Local Radio show. So really the olive garden of the airwaves, that's
- 33:43what that's what they're calling us. All you can't eat, sup and salad?
- 33:47What here? We got a breadstick for you? Oh my gosh,
- 33:53just tell me, you just say, when can you tell we've been on
- 33:59vacation for gods? Oh my gosh. All right, right now, go
- 34:01to Big nine eight seven dot com. It is Cyber Monday, and these
- 34:06deals are on sale right now. A lot of great establishments and restaurants.

- 34:15continue to shop local because they are saying. A new report this morning said
- 34:19that seventy four billion dollars worth of packages are gonna be hitting doorsteps through the
- 34:22holiday season. Yeah, and already. We have a we have a neighborhood
- 34:27group, and people are already doing the porch pirate stuff. I'm like,
- 34:30even if you have a ring camp, these people are ridiculous. Well,
- 34:32you live in a bad part of town, so it's abound to happen.
- 34:36I A bland. Oh gosh. Anyway, get your deals now, Big
- 34:40nine, eight seven dot com for Cyber Monday. Continue to shop local and
