Transcript
- 0:06Speaker 1: Welcome to Brief Recess. I'm Michael Foote, I'm Melissa Albranch.
- 0:09Speaker 1: Today we're going to talk about how I'm a type
- 0:11Speaker 1: a traveler. All of our neighbor tea are paper thin
- 0:15Speaker 1: walls in our apartment. Melissa Saga of Ted Lewis and
- 0:19Speaker 1: Eleanor to my neighbor Chris Nordy lines like a hoover.
- 0:23Speaker 1: That time I saw Susan Sarandon at the Rocky Horror
- 0:26Speaker 1: Picture Show and didn't know she was in the movie,
- 0:28Speaker 1: The infamous El Salvadoran Prison Seacott. We're going to cover
- 0:32Speaker 1: that extensively in the Barry Weiss drama, the sixty minute
- 0:36Speaker 1: segment and all the tales from the DM. So stick
- 0:39Speaker 1: around about how I was someone to think you had
- 0:44Speaker 1: Johndye in the comments. Yeah, people think. People have Even
- 0:49Speaker 1: before I was doing the Internet and the show, people
- 0:51Speaker 1: have always felt like they could say whatever the fuck
- 0:53Speaker 1: they wanted right to my face.
- 0:54Speaker 2: This is a long time ago. I was coming I
- 0:59Speaker 2: was leading Haiti coming back home to New York.
- 1:01Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:02Speaker 2: It was my old passport picture before I had lost weight.
- 1:05Speaker 1: Right, And.
- 1:08Speaker 2: The guy looked at it, He looked at me, He
- 1:11Speaker 2: looked at it, and he looked at me and he
- 1:12Speaker 2: says to me in French. He was like, madam, you've
- 1:15Speaker 2: changed quite a lot. And I said, oh, yes, yes
- 1:19Speaker 2: I have. And then he said, because you were really fat,
- 1:24Speaker 2: you should probably eat a whole lot. And you know
- 1:28Speaker 2: what's really funny about that is like it was it
- 1:34Speaker 2: was such a Haitian guy thing to say that. I
- 1:38Speaker 2: wasn't even mad. I thought it was really fucking funny,
- 1:44Speaker 2: and it's actually very It's so funny, and it's just
- 1:47Speaker 2: the way that he was just like, damn, madam. The
- 1:54Speaker 2: best thing about it was like he spoke to me
- 1:56Speaker 2: in French first it's like the proper way, and then
- 1:59Speaker 2: when I was like, oh, yes, I have, and then
- 2:01Speaker 2: he switched to Crayle, which is more like familiar, and
- 2:04Speaker 2: he was just like, I was just like, this is
- 2:11Speaker 2: just funny.
- 2:11Speaker 1: It was.
- 2:12Speaker 2: It was really it was actually really funny.
- 2:13Speaker 1: Told me most of your like hilarious Haiti stories are
- 2:16Speaker 1: around the airport or the plane ride, Like it's it's
- 2:20Speaker 1: rarely in Haitio. It's always going to it.
- 2:22Speaker 2: From the thing about I think any anytime you're going
- 2:26Speaker 2: anywhere on an airplane or an airport, it's like the subway, right,
- 2:30Speaker 2: Everybody in New York takes a subway. Everybody takes a
- 2:33Speaker 2: plane someplace, right, absolutely, And it doesn't matter your socioeconomic
- 2:38Speaker 2: status and your race, none of it matters because you're
- 2:41Speaker 2: all like stuck in the same place. And like people
- 2:45Speaker 2: say like this, and I think travel makes a lot
- 2:49Speaker 2: of people anxious, and then they just they're just wild
- 2:52Speaker 2: and they.
- 2:52Speaker 1: Wild and they physically are restrained, kind of like you
- 2:55Speaker 1: can't move around a lot, and it's just it's bringing
- 2:58Speaker 1: out the worst in people. The plane. The plane travels
- 3:00Speaker 1: bring out the worst in people.
- 3:02Speaker 2: Are you you're anxious to travel?
- 3:04Speaker 1: Are you not anymore?
- 3:05Speaker 2: Okay?
- 3:05Speaker 1: I used to be really nervous to travel, Okay, and
- 3:08Speaker 1: now I'm trying to escape my life so much that
- 3:10Speaker 1: I love getting on a plane. I'm like, oh hell yeah,
- 3:14Speaker 1: this is wait to get on that plane.
- 3:17Speaker 2: Is a better traveler you were bred?
- 3:19Speaker 1: It depends on how we're defining better.
- 3:22Speaker 2: More come less anxious?
- 3:25Speaker 1: Okay. So in my life, and you know what, I
- 3:28Speaker 1: have an answer, Okay, thank you. In my life, I
- 3:30Speaker 1: am the person who plans and organizes everything, okay. And
- 3:34Speaker 1: I know you are too, Okay. And I know a
- 3:35Speaker 1: lot of our listeners are too. There's always the person
- 3:39Speaker 1: and the couple. Brad shows up to the airport, he
- 3:42Speaker 1: doesn't know where his ticket is, he doesn't sometimes know
- 3:45Speaker 1: what airline we're flying. I do it all, okay, I
- 3:49Speaker 1: get it all organized. It's the night before and he's packing.
- 3:53Speaker 1: I've been packed for a week okay. And we're pulling
- 3:56Speaker 1: up to the airport and he's like, oh, we're flying
- 3:58Speaker 1: American yo. Yeah, and I picked out your meal too,
- 4:03Speaker 1: Like I get I am that one. I'm the one
- 4:06Speaker 1: so to say, oh, who's like better at trial? I'm
- 4:10Speaker 1: better at it, a more organized. We would not be
- 4:13Speaker 1: on the plane if he were in charge.
- 4:14Speaker 2: But he's but it sounds like he's more at ease
- 4:18Speaker 2: because you've taken care of everything, right, So he's just like, okay,
- 4:22Speaker 2: I've set up this stut.
- 4:23Speaker 1: Yeah. And I will say, if he ever tried to
- 4:26Speaker 1: take control of organizing the flights, it would be an
- 4:31Speaker 1: absolute riot.
- 4:32Speaker 2: Okay.
- 4:33Speaker 1: There would be blood in the streets. Oh dear, it
- 4:36Speaker 1: would be. And no one will ever take that away
- 4:38Speaker 1: from me.
- 4:39Speaker 2: Okay.
- 4:39Speaker 1: That is I have to have that control. Even when
- 4:42Speaker 1: I book a gig and they're like, oh, preferred airline
- 4:45Speaker 1: whatever I say, I'll send you the receipt. I'm handling
- 4:48Speaker 1: it all. I'm a control freak like that. I don't
- 4:51Speaker 1: want someone getting involved in that way. I can never
- 4:54Speaker 1: have someone to help them with that stuff.
- 4:55Speaker 2: Interestingly enough, when we go places, Andre's the one who
- 5:02Speaker 2: looks up all the stuff, and he does because he
- 5:07Speaker 2: knows that I'll just spend a million dollars on stupid shit.
- 5:10Speaker 2: Do you know what I'm saying? Like, I'll just be like,
- 5:12Speaker 2: you know what here is. I remember one time we
- 5:15Speaker 2: were going on the car. Yeah, I was like, we
- 5:17Speaker 2: were going somewhere, and I was just like, so we
- 5:20Speaker 2: just say, like fucking do whatever. He was like, no,
- 5:22Speaker 2: we cannot.
- 5:22Speaker 1: Yeah, he was like absolutely not.
- 5:24Speaker 2: So that's why he does it, because he's very concerned
- 5:28Speaker 2: about how much we're going to pay for things. I mean,
- 5:31Speaker 2: and he's right right, but like sometimes I am willing
- 5:35Speaker 2: to pay for things so that I don't have to
- 5:37Speaker 2: think about it.
- 5:38Speaker 1: And also there is a convenience sometimes where the money
- 5:41Speaker 1: is actually worth it if you have it. Yes, we
- 5:44Speaker 1: were going we were in Norway and we were going
- 5:48Speaker 1: dog sledding in the middle of nowhere. It was like
- 5:51Speaker 1: up on a mountain, how was that. It was so fun.
- 5:53Speaker 1: It was like one of the coolest, most memorable experiences.
- 5:56Speaker 2: Do you think the dogs are happy?
- 5:58Speaker 1: Thrilled?
- 5:58Speaker 2: Okay?
- 5:59Speaker 1: And now, whenever I see a husky in New York,
- 6:00Speaker 1: I'm like, oh god, I've seen what you should be doing, gotcha?
- 6:04Speaker 1: And it's not Square Park?
- 6:06Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah yeah.
- 6:07Speaker 1: Running through the woods in the snow.
- 6:09Speaker 2: I follow somebody on I think TikTok and she has
- 6:14Speaker 2: four huskies and they make an unholy noise when they
- 6:20Speaker 2: get to end, and each one eggs on the other
- 6:23Speaker 2: one the howl, but it's not just like a howl.
- 6:26Speaker 2: It's like a it's like a cry for help. Like
- 6:29Speaker 2: it's like, like it's really really crazy. No, it is,
- 6:34Speaker 2: And I couldn't I think I couldn't do.
- 6:38Speaker 1: I mean, like, I guess the screaming, especially in an apartment.
- 6:41Speaker 2: Yeah, screaming would drive me crazy. And it also makes
- 6:46Speaker 2: me feel like maybe they shouldn't be in the house,
- 6:48Speaker 2: like maybe this is the kind of dog that needs
- 6:49Speaker 2: to be outside playing inside.
- 6:51Speaker 1: People will call and complain and say, oh, this sty
- 6:53Speaker 1: I saw this dog sleeping sleeping outside in the snow,
- 6:56Speaker 1: and then the owners will film videos and you're like, yeah,
- 6:59Speaker 1: they're trying to call it again, and the dog doesn't
- 7:00Speaker 1: want to come. The dogs we wants to sleep outside
- 7:02Speaker 1: the But we were going. We had to take a
- 7:05Speaker 1: train to Lallahammer and then it was like you could
- 7:08Speaker 1: either take the bus for three hours to get there
- 7:10Speaker 1: or it was a twenty minute cab ride.
- 7:13Speaker 2: Oh I mean yeah, okay.
- 7:16Speaker 1: And in moments like that, it's like we're going to
- 7:18Speaker 1: spend a fifty kroner whatever it was, yes to do
- 7:21Speaker 1: that if you can. So in situations like that, the
- 7:25Speaker 1: dollar spent on the convenience is it evens out? This
- 7:30Speaker 1: is sidebar, Melissa, didn't you miss a flight one time?
- 7:32Speaker 1: You told me about this a while I did.
- 7:34Speaker 2: Indeed, I know we've talked about this before, but like
- 7:37Speaker 2: one of the few times that I've missed a flight
- 7:41Speaker 2: was because of Andre. Really we were in London. And
- 7:44Speaker 2: that's the thing about travel, right, is that I am
- 7:48Speaker 2: anxious in the sense of I'm afraid to miss a flight,
- 7:51Speaker 2: do you know what I mean? Like, so I am
- 7:54Speaker 2: I am you know like the rest of my people.
- 7:58Speaker 2: Like I get to the airport right and I remember
- 8:02Speaker 2: looking at the clock and the time and I was
- 8:04Speaker 2: just like maybe we should go. Maybe can we go?
- 8:07Speaker 2: And he was like no, it's fine, we got this.
- 8:09Speaker 2: Let's take one more, let's another stroll around the Thames.
- 8:12Speaker 1: Don't be so anxious.
- 8:14Speaker 2: And then I remember, and I have a picture of this,
- 8:16Speaker 2: I'll share it with you where I took a picture
- 8:18Speaker 2: of Andre looking at his phone and I was like,
- 8:21Speaker 2: this is when I knew we were not going to
- 8:23Speaker 2: make it. We were not going to make it.
- 8:26Speaker 1: Where were you?
- 8:28Speaker 2: And I was looking at him and I was just like,
- 8:30Speaker 2: we're not going to make it, are we? And he's
- 8:32Speaker 2: like no, no, no, but we have to hurry up though,
- 8:35Speaker 2: and I was like okay. And we get to the
- 8:37Speaker 2: airport and the plane hadn't left yet, but they had
- 8:41Speaker 2: stopped boarding and we had to spend the night and
- 8:45Speaker 2: we spent the night at the airport.
- 8:47Speaker 1: It wasn't just like another flight.
- 8:49Speaker 2: We had to wait till the next day and we
- 8:52Speaker 2: spent the night at this airport hotel. But it was
- 8:56Speaker 2: like the room was it wasn't this big, it was
- 9:01Speaker 2: it's for exactly that exactly, and I mean it was
- 9:05Speaker 2: the bathroom was like a wet room, like it was just.
- 9:09Speaker 1: Oh, I hate that. I hate that. When the shower
- 9:12Speaker 1: and the toilet and the sink are all connected to
- 9:14Speaker 1: the same water line and it's just one.
- 9:16Speaker 2: I mean, this was the smallest hotel room I have
- 9:20Speaker 2: ever been in my life. And at that point we
- 9:24Speaker 2: just started drinking.
- 9:25Speaker 1: Yeah, you've got to hit the hooch, the airport bar.
- 9:29Speaker 1: The drinks are so expensive. They're very expensive because they
- 9:32Speaker 1: know they have We were hitting it hard. And I
- 9:35Speaker 1: will say I have traveled with people who like to
- 9:37Speaker 1: drink no matter what time of day they're traveling eight
- 9:42Speaker 1: am vodka sodas. I've witnessed that.
- 9:44Speaker 2: Have you ever done that?
- 9:45Speaker 1: No?
- 9:46Speaker 2: No, oh, I have.
- 9:47Speaker 1: I don't need to drink to get on a plane.
- 9:49Speaker 2: I don't need to drink. So I can't remember where
- 9:51Speaker 2: Andre and I were going. And he had a little
- 9:54Speaker 2: bit of like a hissy fit at the airport right,
- 9:58Speaker 2: a little bit, and it made me you need a drink, yeah,
- 10:01Speaker 2: And I was just like, and I put it on TikTok. Actually,
- 10:04Speaker 2: I'm like, it's eight o'clock in the morning and I
- 10:06Speaker 2: have had to leave my husband and now I'm walking around.
- 10:09Speaker 1: There some news melting down.
- 10:11Speaker 2: He's somewhere I can't be with him right now. We're
- 10:15Speaker 2: going to Jamaica, and I was just like, is it
- 10:18Speaker 2: too late to start drinking?
- 10:19Speaker 1: No?
- 10:20Speaker 2: And the comments were, no, it isn't hit hit it,
- 10:24Speaker 2: Yeah it hit it? And I did.
- 10:26Speaker 1: Yeah. I fallen sucker to the duty free shop too.
- 10:30Speaker 1: I've spent money there.
- 10:31Speaker 2: What do you buy in duty free?
- 10:33Speaker 1: Sometimes I'll buy like a like a vodka gin just
- 10:36Speaker 1: to have it home, like a big thing of it. Okay,
- 10:38Speaker 1: so it is actually like a lot cheaper.
- 10:39Speaker 2: Sometimes do you drink enough vodka origin to have a
- 10:44Speaker 2: bottle of it at home or do you just want
- 10:46Speaker 2: to have it?
- 10:47Speaker 1: I think I just want to have it. I think
- 10:48Speaker 1: I'm bored and I want to go shopping.
- 10:50Speaker 2: Yes.
- 10:50Speaker 1: We were in Peru for New Year's and we're coming back.
- 10:55Speaker 2: Oh.
- 10:55Speaker 1: He had so much time to kill because getting to
- 10:57Speaker 1: the airport of Peru is like kind of like a
- 10:59Speaker 1: we weren't or if it was going to take forever
- 11:01Speaker 1: or twenty minutes, and it ended up taking twenty minutes.
- 11:03Speaker 1: So I'm wandering around, you know, buying crap, all sorts
- 11:08Speaker 1: of stuff. But they had actually like a lot of
- 11:09Speaker 1: cue clothes there. I got a bunch of sweaters at
- 11:11Speaker 1: the airport. Oh, improved, because everything's all pack up.
- 11:13Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, okay.
- 11:15Speaker 1: So they sell them and it's not like you know,
- 11:18Speaker 1: taurus trappy kind of clothing.
- 11:20Speaker 2: Yeah, it's like real actual Yeah.
- 11:22Speaker 1: Yeah, let's get into algorithm of show. And I want
- 11:27Speaker 1: to talk about what's going on in your algorithm? What's
- 11:32Speaker 1: perhaps what's the form one one? What you've seen it's
- 11:36Speaker 1: wicked and wild on your Actually.
- 11:39Speaker 2: Don't want to talk about my algorithm, okay, I would
- 11:42Speaker 2: like to talk about my neighbor if we could.
- 11:44Speaker 1: Oh, Melissa texted me over the weekend a little bit
- 11:48Speaker 1: about this. Yeah, I got a text message that said,
- 11:51Speaker 1: yo yo.
- 11:53Speaker 2: Was it a yo message?
- 11:54Speaker 1: It was a yo message. I'm going to go back,
- 11:56Speaker 1: and then it was a yo yeah yeah like you. Yeah.
- 12:00Speaker 2: So I have spoken about my neighbor before, yes, and
- 12:04Speaker 2: if not on the pod, then on my TikTok okay,
- 12:08Speaker 2: and so really quick. I call him Ted, That is
- 12:11Speaker 2: not his name. Ted used to be married to Lois,
- 12:15Speaker 2: and Ted and Lois would fight all the time. And
- 12:18Speaker 2: you only ever heard Ted, You never heard Lois, right, Yeah,
- 12:24Speaker 2: And then one day I heard him say to her,
- 12:30Speaker 2: I come to you with solutions, you only come to
- 12:34Speaker 2: me with problems. And then Lois had had enough and
- 12:38Speaker 2: she said, fuck you Ted.
- 12:40Speaker 1: You heard her say that? Oh, yes, that's the one thing.
- 12:43Speaker 1: She had one line.
- 12:44Speaker 2: She had one line, and she executed it beautifully stage left.
- 12:48Speaker 2: And then a couple of days later, I saw her
- 12:51Speaker 2: in the hall and I was just like, hey, hey, Lois,
- 12:53Speaker 2: how are you getting the fuck out of here?
- 12:55Speaker 1: And I was like, oh, oh, if you're telling the neighbors.
- 12:59Speaker 2: Yeah. So in my building, there's a package room and
- 13:02Speaker 2: I was going through looking for my package. And this
- 13:05Speaker 2: is maybe several weeks later, maybe a couple of months later,
- 13:08Speaker 2: and I saw a package for Ted that said something
- 13:11Speaker 2: like it was from divorce dot com. This, dude, gotta
- 13:14Speaker 2: they got a divorce. They got a divorce.
- 13:16Speaker 1: Right.
- 13:17Speaker 2: And since then, and since then, I have seen a
- 13:20Speaker 2: steady stream of women coming in and out of Ted's life.
- 13:24Speaker 1: Right, Okay, Ted has game. It sounds like it is
- 13:26Speaker 1: Ted cute. It's got a stead remote coming in and
- 13:29Speaker 1: out of the building.
- 13:29Speaker 2: I think that Ted is cute. He's not hideously unattractive.
- 13:34Speaker 2: But what happens is every time Ted breaks up with somebody,
- 13:38Speaker 2: the music.
- 13:38Speaker 1: Starts the Barry Manilow adele Al.
- 13:44Speaker 2: And it's on repeat. He also had. He also plays
- 13:49Speaker 2: quite a lot, a bit of Barber streisand and Barry dam.
- 13:53Speaker 1: Okay, I think I found the problem and that he's gay.
- 13:57Speaker 2: I don't think he's gay. Ade ade.
- 14:01Speaker 1: A journey okay, straight six straight, very madelow By curious,
- 14:09Speaker 1: maybe attending, you know, tap his foot in the bathroom.
- 14:12Speaker 2: Step and then it'll stop once he comes back to himself.
- 14:16Speaker 1: We always return to thyself, know thyself.
- 14:19Speaker 2: And one time I was coming in, he was going out.
- 14:23Speaker 2: There was a different woman at the door and he
- 14:25Speaker 2: was leaving, and she said to him, Okay, Ted, love you.
- 14:32Speaker 2: And then I saw his face and he was like,
- 14:34Speaker 2: I love you.
- 14:34Speaker 1: Too, Melissa. Okay. Now there's so many also like.
- 14:43Speaker 2: Wait, wait, wait wait. And then fourth of July you
- 14:46Speaker 2: can see fireworks from the roof of our building. And
- 14:50Speaker 2: after fourth of July they were both there together, and
- 14:52Speaker 2: then I never saw her again. Right, there's a new one.
- 14:57Speaker 1: Let's wait, you gotta stop. I can't process all this.
- 15:00Speaker 1: It's so insane.
- 15:01Speaker 2: I'm also curious why am I here? Why am I writing? Well,
- 15:08Speaker 2: Because what I realized is Ted's bathroom butts up against
- 15:13Speaker 2: my bathroom, and so the head of my bed butts
- 15:18Speaker 2: up against I guess his living room or something. I
- 15:20Speaker 2: can hear what's going on in there, right, So York,
- 15:25Speaker 2: you know this is this is one of the reasons
- 15:27Speaker 2: why I'm tired of apartment life. I don't want to
- 15:29Speaker 2: hear you. I don't want to smell your fish. I
- 15:31Speaker 2: don't want it. I don't want I don't want it.
- 15:33Speaker 2: But anyway, I digress. Now there's another one. And they
- 15:37Speaker 2: got into a fight this weekend, Eleanor. He and Eleanor
- 15:41Speaker 2: are getting into it. But I don't think she was there.
- 15:45Speaker 2: I think she was on speakerphone because she sounded really
- 15:48Speaker 2: tinmy right, and they have fought before, and Eleanor ain't
- 15:53Speaker 2: no Lois. Eleanor is not here for games, and she
- 15:57Speaker 2: is just and more than once I have heard her
- 15:59Speaker 2: say to him, I don't know what the fuck your
- 16:01Speaker 2: problem is dead.
- 16:04Speaker 1: She is eating him up.
- 16:05Speaker 2: Eating him up. And then he was saying to her
- 16:09Speaker 2: something like, you know, I had a horrible day. So
- 16:15Speaker 2: now Andre's watching TV and I said to him, lower
- 16:17Speaker 2: the teeth, lower the lower the TV. And he's like,
- 16:21Speaker 2: and he's like why, And I was like, Ted and
- 16:24Speaker 2: Eleanor are getting into it, and he's like, Melissa and
- 16:26Speaker 2: I was like, listen. And then he came over and
- 16:29Speaker 2: then we're both in the bathroom together and we're listening
- 16:31Speaker 2: to what's going on.
- 16:32Speaker 1: I'm just imagining you and Andrea were a cup pressed
- 16:35Speaker 1: against Oh.
- 16:37Speaker 2: I remember when I said to you, my neighbor can't
- 16:39Speaker 2: keep a body. He cannot keep a woman, can't keep
- 16:41Speaker 2: a body, cannot keep a boy at a certain point,
- 16:43Speaker 2: if you can't keep an employee. And you were like,
- 16:46Speaker 2: what roommates are girlfriends? And I'm like, girlfriends wives? And
- 16:50Speaker 2: Michael's like, are they leaving or kicking them out? And
- 16:53Speaker 2: I don't know. And then and then so he said
- 16:56Speaker 2: to her, you knew that I was having a bad
- 16:57Speaker 2: fucking day, and she's like, you're always having in a
- 17:00Speaker 2: bad faking day. And then I couldn't and then I
- 17:04Speaker 2: was getting annoyed because I couldn't hear everything right. And
- 17:07Speaker 2: then I was like, all right, let me watch TV
- 17:09Speaker 2: because I'm like, no, no, no, I'm going to hear
- 17:10Speaker 2: the rest of it.
- 17:14Speaker 1: You adele, did they break up?
- 17:16Speaker 2: I don't know. I don't know if they broke up,
- 17:17Speaker 2: but he started playing Adele and.
- 17:20Speaker 1: No, I'm worried what my neighbors are hearing me say
- 17:22Speaker 1: and do that.
- 17:23Speaker 2: Was I just want someone with my neighbor.
- 17:26Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 17:26Speaker 2: I don't know why he can't keep a body. And
- 17:28Speaker 2: I got to tell you, there are a lot of
- 17:29Speaker 2: people in my building who don't like him. He can
- 17:32Speaker 2: be really aggressive, but he's been nothing but really nice
- 17:38Speaker 2: to me. One day, I was coming in, I had
- 17:39Speaker 2: a bunch of bags and he's like, oh, let me
- 17:41Speaker 2: help him go. Thank you so much, And I said,
- 17:43Speaker 2: that was really sweet of you. He said to me,
- 17:45Speaker 2: no one's called me sweets and my mother died, so
- 17:50Speaker 2: Ted is clearly somebody only a mother can love.
- 17:53Speaker 1: Well. What's concerning to me is that clearly he is
- 17:55Speaker 1: a little bit self aware that he can't keep a body.
- 18:00Speaker 2: I don't know if he realizes that he can't keep
- 18:02Speaker 2: a body. I don't know that people who can't keep
- 18:03Speaker 2: bodies realize.
- 18:05Speaker 1: There the problems. Yeah, I feel like there's something about
- 18:09Speaker 1: this though, there's a little bit of self awareness. There
- 18:12Speaker 1: are no all these divorces, and I mean, I.
- 18:15Speaker 2: Don't know if it's it's one divorce that I'm aware of,
- 18:18Speaker 2: but there has been.
- 18:19Speaker 1: He's cute. He's kind of cute. Not really, I don't
- 18:23Speaker 1: know that.
- 18:25Speaker 2: My type of white guy I don't like.
- 18:26Speaker 1: Okay, yeah see.
- 18:28Speaker 2: Rich maybe this apartment, Yes, he does on his apartment.
- 18:32Speaker 2: His apartment is beautiful. He has a really he's an audiophile.
- 18:38Speaker 2: He has a really beautiful audio situation with like Vinyl.
- 18:42Speaker 1: Because and it's just one hundred Adele albums and BARBISTI
- 18:46Speaker 1: sand that is really funny. Well, I need to know,
- 18:51Speaker 1: like where this what happens.
- 18:53Speaker 2: I hope that I see Eleanor again. Eleanor loves Arthur Weasley.
- 18:57Speaker 1: I'm ring for them to leave right right. I'm waiting
- 19:00Speaker 1: for the women to find joy.
- 19:03Speaker 2: He keeps on getting new ones.
- 19:05Speaker 1: I do think that there is, like you said, like
- 19:07Speaker 1: there there's always a man who drives you insane. I
- 19:10Speaker 1: do think that there is also this compulsion that a
- 19:14Speaker 1: lot of us have to fix a man, to see
- 19:17Speaker 1: a problem and be like, oh I got this, I
- 19:20Speaker 1: can figure that out.
- 19:21Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 19:21Speaker 1: I spent a lot of my twenties doing did you
- 19:24Speaker 1: I mean I.
- 19:24Speaker 2: Think that my last before my husband, my last long
- 19:30Speaker 2: term boyfriend, I did think that I could help him.
- 19:33Speaker 2: I don't know that I I was like, I just
- 19:35Speaker 2: need to love him more, do you know what I mean?
- 19:37Speaker 2: And help him. And when I decided that I was
- 19:42Speaker 2: done with him, Yeah, and I was just like, Universe,
- 19:45Speaker 2: this is what I need and that's what I got.
- 19:48Speaker 1: Take it away and that's what you got what I got.
- 19:50Speaker 1: It's like in Practical Magic where they sort of put
- 19:53Speaker 1: together their purple.
- 19:54Speaker 2: You know that there's a sequel, and I can't wait. Really,
- 19:56Speaker 2: I am.
- 19:57Speaker 1: Sad for the sequel. Okay, I am going to be
- 19:59Speaker 1: really annoyed if the lightning's weird and if it feels
- 20:01Speaker 1: like I'm in a video game. I like movies where
- 20:03Speaker 1: it's framed and it doesn't look like a video game.
- 20:06Speaker 1: Like I can't watch Wicked. That will give me a
- 20:08Speaker 1: stomach ache. I can't go to one Imax and watch
- 20:12Speaker 1: the Willy Wonka movie. I'll like get Vertigo. You know
- 20:16Speaker 1: what I mean?
- 20:16Speaker 2: I hear you. So.
- 20:17Speaker 1: I used to live in what was like a pre war,
- 20:21Speaker 1: very old school New York. Like everyone was just like
- 20:24Speaker 1: a weird New York. We've been there forever, yes, and
- 20:26Speaker 1: we were like I remember we were the Yeah.
- 20:28Speaker 2: Yeah, it was.
- 20:29Speaker 1: Near your auntie's apartment and we were there forever. We
- 20:32Speaker 1: were there for years and years and years. And when
- 20:36Speaker 1: you're in a building like that, and it's small and
- 20:39Speaker 1: everyone kind of knows each other like you're entering an ecosystem,
- 20:42Speaker 1: like they know your shit. They're gonna all talk about you.
- 20:46Speaker 1: And we had a wall where we could hear our
- 20:48Speaker 1: neighbor too, and we had this crazy neighbor war.
- 20:51Speaker 2: Was this a neighbor who was the flight attendant? Yeah, okay,
- 20:54Speaker 2: I love this, Go ahead, we'll call him.
- 20:56Speaker 1: We'll call him Chris. Okay, three in the morning. Chris
- 21:00Speaker 1: always had and you'd have to buzz to get into
- 21:02Speaker 1: the building. Yep, there's always a really late night Friday
- 21:05Speaker 1: and Saturday night buzz from a how do I say,
- 21:10Speaker 1: a gentleman caller, a younger man of Latino descent, potentially
- 21:17Speaker 1: from the oldest profession. Okay, I'm going on dates and
- 21:21Speaker 1: that is me throwing judgment on the situation that is unconfirmed.
- 21:26Speaker 2: But you know what, the sex work is work.
- 21:28Speaker 1: Get it? Yes, sex work is for a work like
- 21:30Speaker 1: get it, like live your truth really like truly no
- 21:32Speaker 1: judgment there, but I like loved it.
- 21:33Speaker 2: I was like, yeah, you know, because it's the sex
- 21:35Speaker 2: spicy I have. I have a neighbor who I don't like,
- 21:38Speaker 2: and he gets dates. They they're very tall, very thin,
- 21:43Speaker 2: sort of Russian looking. Yeah, and he is dumpy and
- 21:47Speaker 2: old and that's not Yeah.
- 21:49Speaker 1: And this in this street that I lived on, there
- 21:51Speaker 1: was a lot of sex work activity on that street.
- 21:53Speaker 1: There were like sex workers working the corner. And so
- 21:58Speaker 1: he's got on the stroll. Yeah. And so these guys
- 22:01Speaker 1: would show up and it would buzz and like they
- 22:03Speaker 1: buzz the wrong unit, and then I'd be letting them in.
- 22:05Speaker 1: So I was like kind of involved, were a willing participants,
- 22:10Speaker 1: let me tell you. And I'm so boring. I was
- 22:12Speaker 1: home on a Saturday night letting in the Puerto Rican
- 22:14Speaker 1: hookers like that was that was my Saturday night. Was like,
- 22:18Speaker 1: please right this way, Chris. Yes, he's upstairs. The walls
- 22:22Speaker 1: though the walls are thin in any and even if
- 22:27Speaker 1: they're not thin, you're just in close quarters.
- 22:29Speaker 2: I mean the thing about living in an apartment building,
- 22:33Speaker 2: you're basically living with a hundred other people.
- 22:36Speaker 1: Yeah, it's co cohabitation with like without your consent, yeah, totally.
- 22:42Speaker 2: You are held hostage. Yeah.
- 22:44Speaker 1: And so this one night Chris was on a bender,
- 22:47Speaker 1: Like Chris was out, he was out in these streets
- 22:51Speaker 1: and he came home with this guy and it's three
- 22:53Speaker 1: in the morning, and I really can't sleep, and I
- 22:54Speaker 1: sleep with earplugs in a saw machine since college. Okay,
- 22:58Speaker 1: every night their earplugs in sow machine. He was railing
- 23:02Speaker 1: lines so loud. I could hear it. I could hear
- 23:07Speaker 1: him railing a line through the earplug in the sw
- 23:10Speaker 1: machine on high. That is a man.
- 23:12Speaker 2: That's a hoover.
- 23:13Speaker 1: That that is self harm, like not odad. And he
- 23:20Speaker 1: was like narrating it.
- 23:21Speaker 3: He was like chopping up the next one, like he
- 23:24Speaker 3: was like hot ha ha like and it was like
- 23:27Speaker 3: and it was all night and so finally I went over,
- 23:31Speaker 3: like the sun is rising and he's still going crazy
- 23:34Speaker 3: on this bender and I knocked on the door and
- 23:36Speaker 3: I was like, Chris, you gotta keep it down.
- 23:39Speaker 1: His pupils were outer space seying saucers. Yeah, they bright red.
- 23:47Speaker 1: Oh sorry, like slurring like crazy whatever. The next day
- 23:50Speaker 1: I get up, he bought me like a nice bottle
- 23:54Speaker 1: of like expensive champagne favor and left it on my
- 24:00Speaker 1: door handle with just like a little note that was like,
- 24:01Speaker 1: sorry if I woke you up last night.
- 24:03Speaker 2: That's actually really classy, Chris, Sorry.
- 24:05Speaker 1: If you woke me up, Chris, honey. And I get
- 24:07Speaker 1: to sleep, and you know what, he had so much
- 24:10Speaker 1: coconem he was able to go out shopping, run errands
- 24:14Speaker 1: the next day. Was he doing sleep? No? Yeah, he's
- 24:17Speaker 1: probably still awake. And I will say he was a
- 24:20Speaker 1: man of a certain age. He wasn't like nineteen or
- 24:24Speaker 1: twenty doing that much blow.
- 24:25Speaker 2: I mean he's been doing it since the seventies.
- 24:27Speaker 1: He's And I was like, I don't know.
- 24:29Speaker 2: This is Jagger's Studio fifty four.
- 24:35Speaker 1: I was like, you, you really are not at an
- 24:37Speaker 1: age where you should be doing that much.
- 24:38Speaker 2: I mean he's a little long in the tooth to
- 24:40Speaker 2: be doing so much blow.
- 24:42Speaker 1: Yeah, Studio fifty four. Rocky horror picture shows playing there?
- 24:45Speaker 1: Oh I heard I went to opening?
- 24:46Speaker 2: Was it fun?
- 24:47Speaker 1: I went to the opening night? It was really fun? Okay,
- 24:49Speaker 1: it was actually really fun and I loved the show.
- 24:52Speaker 1: I'd never seen anything Rocky Hall. You had never seen
- 24:54Speaker 1: any of it nothing. So this is actually mortifying and plaow.
- 24:58Speaker 1: If you've been waiting to re me in the comments,
- 25:01Speaker 1: if you've been holding back, which I don't think any
- 25:02Speaker 1: of you have because you love eating me up, this
- 25:06Speaker 1: is your opportunity. Because I'm such a dumb slut, I
- 25:11Speaker 1: went up to Susan Sarandon. Okay, yep, pencils down, heads up.
- 25:19Speaker 1: I went up to Susan Sarandon and I said, Hi,
- 25:22Speaker 1: miss Surandon, I just have to let you know. This
- 25:24Speaker 1: is during intermission because we were like sitting down in
- 25:26Speaker 1: the orchestra. I just have to let you know. I'm
- 25:29Speaker 1: such a huge fan. I love everything you've been in,
- 25:32Speaker 1: love your movies. My mom's a huge fan.
- 25:35Speaker 2: I'm so so nervous.
- 25:36Speaker 1: Do you mind if I take a photo with you?
- 25:37Speaker 1: And we're chatting for a while, We're chatting about why
- 25:39Speaker 1: I'm there, how I know people in the show, and
- 25:41Speaker 1: like all that stuff. We have this adorable que conversation.
- 25:46Speaker 1: We take a photo. Actually, she's a real battie because
- 25:49Speaker 1: she said, yes, I'll take a photo with you, but
- 25:51Speaker 1: we've got to find the good lighting. And y'all know,
- 25:54Speaker 1: oh yeah, I'm the same way. I'm like, oh babe, yeah,
- 25:57Speaker 1: we can light your face with the glare off my
- 25:59Speaker 1: bald head, Like, let's get some go. I said, this
- 26:02Speaker 1: is what I'll do, because consent is important. I held
- 26:05Speaker 1: up my phone and I said, let's swivel and when
- 26:09Speaker 1: there's good lighting, you say go and I'll click the clicker. Okay,
- 26:11Speaker 1: So we do this whole rigamarole and I walk away
- 26:14Speaker 1: and I go back to Brad, my husband, who knows
- 26:17Speaker 1: everything and is not try to tell me okay, and
- 26:20Speaker 1: he says, oh, you're talking to Susan Srandon and I
- 26:23Speaker 1: was like yeah, and he says, did you compliment her
- 26:26Speaker 1: on how she was originated the role of Janet in
- 26:30Speaker 1: Rocky Horror, in the movie that the show is based on.
- 26:34Speaker 1: And I said, she was in what Noo? And he said, yeah,
- 26:38Speaker 1: that's why she's here because she was in Rocky. She
- 26:41Speaker 1: originated Janet in the movie.
- 26:43Speaker 2: I hate you. I hate you everything you. I hate
- 26:46Speaker 2: you and everything you stand for.
- 26:48Speaker 1: So mortified? Do you hate me? Like a cruise ship
- 26:52Speaker 1: take him out to see and sink him. Wow. It
- 26:56Speaker 1: was one of my most mortifying moments because we talked
- 26:58Speaker 1: for a while.
- 26:59Speaker 2: But you didn't I mean, Okay, So while I'm horrified
- 27:04Speaker 2: that you just didn't know this piece of pop culture
- 27:07Speaker 2: that I feel like you should have known, and I
- 27:09Speaker 2: feel like this makes you a bad gay man.
- 27:14Speaker 1: Chris, the next door neighbor would have absolutely not put
- 27:17Speaker 1: up with this. He definitely knew.
- 27:18Speaker 2: But I mean, it's not like you said anything to her, So.
- 27:21Speaker 1: I'm going to stop you right there. And I appreciate
- 27:22Speaker 1: you being really gracious with me, Okay, I don't deserve it,
- 27:26Speaker 1: because throughout the entire conversation she was kind of looking
- 27:29Speaker 1: at me like I'm an EmPATH. She was kind of
- 27:33Speaker 1: looking at me like, are you going to say it?
- 27:36Speaker 1: Are you going to say the thing everything's been saying
- 27:38Speaker 1: to me here? You know, she was kind of looking
- 27:39Speaker 1: at me like you know when someone's kind of waiting
- 27:42Speaker 1: for you to say something. You're at the altar and
- 27:44Speaker 1: you say I do, and then you're kind of waiting
- 27:46Speaker 1: for the next She was waiting for me to say something,
- 27:49Speaker 1: and I was like, I wonder what she was waiting
- 27:50Speaker 1: for me to say? You know what that yeah? And
- 27:53Speaker 1: I was like, oh, I wonder if yeah, she friends
- 27:56Speaker 1: with the lighting designer.
- 27:57Speaker 2: Is she a part of this production?
- 28:01Speaker 1: No? And That's where I'm also mortified, because every every
- 28:04Speaker 1: like photo that was taken all over social media in
- 28:07Speaker 1: the post was Susan Sarandon attends the show based off
- 28:12Speaker 1: the movie she was in, so like everyone was there
- 28:15Speaker 1: talking to her and it was reported on because she
- 28:19Speaker 1: was there because of.
- 28:20Speaker 2: The movie Gotcha and you were say in the movie. Okay.
- 28:23Speaker 2: I used to go to a Rocky Horror Picture show
- 28:27Speaker 2: all the time and like would be in the audience participate.
- 28:31Speaker 2: So in the show, yeah are they are they doing
- 28:34Speaker 2: the call and response.
- 28:35Speaker 1: So there's been a lot of controversy around this because
- 28:39Speaker 1: they're very famous actors in the show. People are paying
- 28:42Speaker 1: like five hundred bucks a ticket to go see them
- 28:45Speaker 1: do the jump to the left, damn. And you really
- 28:49Speaker 1: are paying premium price to see these very very famous
- 28:52Speaker 1: people do the show, not the guy from Jersey sitting
- 28:57Speaker 1: next to you. You couldn't get a ticket to Lan King. Yeah,
- 29:00Speaker 1: you know the cats, we could see boop And so
- 29:07Speaker 1: there's been a lot of a lot of Rocky Horror
- 29:10Speaker 1: purists have been upset, yes, that people aren't allowed to
- 29:15Speaker 1: dance or do the callbacks there. I was there opening night. Yeah,
- 29:18Speaker 1: so there were some callbacks and it was very like
- 29:20Speaker 1: tongue in cheek, very cute, okay, but it wasn't disruptive.
- 29:24Speaker 1: There were some people would yell out, I would say
- 29:26Speaker 1: maybe five times during the show, and the show just
- 29:29Speaker 1: kept moving okay, and the actors knew what to do, yes,
- 29:31Speaker 1: and we got to see everyone do their incredible performance.
- 29:35Speaker 1: Like really, so it's such a star studed cat.
- 29:37Speaker 2: Yeah. Okay, interesting because because I feel like that's like
- 29:41Speaker 2: the whole thing I've never got. I've never seen the
- 29:45Speaker 2: movie without.
- 29:48Speaker 1: That, without people kicking in this in the aisles. Yeah,
- 29:51Speaker 1: because they do these like midnight showings and yeah, yeah,
- 29:55Speaker 1: no one was really doing that. I will say they
- 29:57Speaker 1: do pull up a couple of people on stage at
- 29:59Speaker 1: some point, I think, hopefully to scratch that itch. And
- 30:03Speaker 1: when they did it during opening night, they pulled Eric
- 30:06Speaker 1: Botcher on stage, our former guest.
- 30:09Speaker 2: Oh wow, shout out to Eric. What he imparted himself?
- 30:16Speaker 2: As it was?
- 30:17Speaker 1: It was told twink Yeah, uh demon Twink that was
- 30:22Speaker 1: running against her, and they made him do the dance.
- 30:25Speaker 2: Did he do it?
- 30:26Speaker 1: Yeah? Okay, let's move on.
- 30:29Speaker 2: During COVID, I had this neighbor downstairs who got what
- 30:34Speaker 2: I call his COVID boo and you would hear them,
- 30:39Speaker 2: and the COVID boo was enthusiastic, encouraging and loved Jesus.
- 30:47Speaker 1: I'm at a loss for words.
- 30:49Speaker 2: And at first it was like funny, Oh, she's she's
- 30:54Speaker 2: invoking the Rosary, and then at the end I was like,
- 30:57Speaker 2: I'm going to set him on fire.
- 30:59Speaker 1: Yeah, because working from home.
- 31:01Speaker 2: I was working from home. I thought the world was ending.
- 31:04Speaker 1: I need to hear you have a nooner. I'm in
- 31:06Speaker 1: the middle of a zoom call. We've got to look
- 31:09Speaker 1: at the Q three reports. We've got to circle.
- 31:11Speaker 2: Back on my Q four road now watching my CEO
- 31:13Speaker 2: cry that. Anyway, let's move.
- 31:17Speaker 1: On, let's go into under oath. I've got some crazy
- 31:23Speaker 1: stuff I want to talk to you about. We didn't
- 31:25Speaker 1: actually get a chance to cover Barry Weiss CBS, the
- 31:30Speaker 1: Sea Cott, censorship journalism in America, the Star Spangled Banner.
- 31:38Speaker 1: We didn't get a chance to cover it. So I
- 31:39Speaker 1: thought we could get into it today because I have
- 31:42Speaker 1: Seacott tea that people have reached out to me about
- 31:44Speaker 1: on the internet. I've made a bunch of videos about this.
- 31:47Speaker 1: So a couple months ago, there was an inside Seacott
- 31:50Speaker 1: segment on CBS and it was supposed to air on
- 31:54Speaker 1: sixty minutes in December, so this was like six months ago.
- 31:58Speaker 1: The correspondent with Sharon I'll and the segment featured interviews
- 32:03Speaker 1: with former detainees at this prison. Seacot CECT is the prison.
- 32:10Speaker 1: This prison is an el Salvador and notorious, infamous for
- 32:16Speaker 1: human rights violations. Basically, what's happening right now? And I
- 32:20Speaker 1: deal with this a lot in immigration court with Assilis
- 32:23Speaker 1: who are seeking asylum in the US from L. Salvador Is.
- 32:28Speaker 1: In L Salvador, there's what's called the state of Exception.
- 32:32Speaker 1: And a couple of years ago, the president Bukele decided
- 32:38Speaker 1: there's so much gang activity in El Salvador, which is true,
- 32:41Speaker 1: and this is very controversial. So you can talk to
- 32:44Speaker 1: Salvador and who will say it was great, another we'll
- 32:47Speaker 1: say it was awful. Bukelly said, we're going to suspend
- 32:50Speaker 1: the constitution, which is like terrifying to think about as
- 32:54Speaker 1: in America. Yes, we're just going to pause it and
- 32:57Speaker 1: we're just going to start detaining these gangs because there
- 33:00Speaker 1: was a lot of gang violence in El Salvador.
- 33:03Speaker 2: I'm just curious right now that he's rounded up all
- 33:06Speaker 2: these people who were allegedly in gangs, did the gang
- 33:10Speaker 2: activity in El Salvador diminish at all.
- 33:13Speaker 1: A lot of gang members were detained, okay, yeah, However
- 33:18Speaker 1: they were detained without any due process. There was no
- 33:21Speaker 1: court date, there were no trials, there was no actual
- 33:24Speaker 1: checks and Balances. New York Times did a really interesting
- 33:27Speaker 1: podcast about this where they interviewed people who were in
- 33:32Speaker 1: El Salvador who had sons and nephews detained who were
- 33:36Speaker 1: not affiliated with gangs, and they were still grateful for
- 33:43Speaker 1: the state of exception, okay, even though their sons and
- 33:46Speaker 1: nephews had been detained, because it was just so much
- 33:49Speaker 1: safer now because you catch a lot of people. Yeah,
- 33:53Speaker 1: there's no way to ensure the actual criminals are being
- 33:58Speaker 1: true captured compared to an innocent person, correct.
- 34:01Speaker 2: I say, when you do these sweeps, innocent people are
- 34:04Speaker 2: going to get caught up in.
- 34:05Speaker 1: It for sure, right and when there's that's why we
- 34:06Speaker 1: have checks and balances. That's why we have a judiciary
- 34:09Speaker 1: to make sure, you know, we sort of separate people
- 34:12Speaker 1: who have actually committed crimes and should be prosecuted and
- 34:15Speaker 1: people who are completely innocent and just in the wrong
- 34:17Speaker 1: place at the wrong time. Gotcha, It's not like America
- 34:20Speaker 1: nails it. Yeah. So anyway, and we'll get to the
- 34:24Speaker 1: CBS story in a second. But basically, Bouquela decided to
- 34:28Speaker 1: suspend the state of exception, went into effect, suspended the constitution.
- 34:32Speaker 1: A lot of people were detained in these prisons that
- 34:36Speaker 1: it's very difficult to sort of describe to a first
- 34:39Speaker 1: world citizen, an American, what it's actually like in these
- 34:43Speaker 1: detention centers. So there are cells so small you can't
- 34:48Speaker 1: lie down, There are no access to food, water, toilets.
- 34:53Speaker 1: Overcrowding is like not even a powerful enough word to
- 34:58Speaker 1: describe what's happening. Rival gangs are housed in the same
- 35:02Speaker 1: space together, which is very dangerous. Many gang members are
- 35:07Speaker 1: readily identifiable by their tattoos. They have tattoos on their faces,
- 35:10Speaker 1: they're branded by their gangs. And this is not like
- 35:13Speaker 1: I don't want this to get picked up by a
- 35:15Speaker 1: news outlet of like Michael Foot stands by gang membership
- 35:19Speaker 1: and I'll Salvador. But I want to explain that I
- 35:22Speaker 1: have had some clients who were members of gangs, not
- 35:29Speaker 1: by choice, that a lot of times gang members or
- 35:33Speaker 1: sometimes gang members are victims of circumstance. They have no money,
- 35:37Speaker 1: there's no functioning government, there's no food, water resources. A
- 35:41Speaker 1: guy shows up and says, join my gang, work for
- 35:44Speaker 1: my gang, and I will give you enough money so
- 35:47Speaker 1: that your mother has food and medicine.
- 35:49Speaker 2: Gotcha right, Yeah.
- 35:50Speaker 1: These are choices. That we as New Yorkers, very rarely
- 35:54Speaker 1: are faced with these sort of life and death choices.
- 35:56Speaker 1: So it's very easy for us to pass judgment on
- 36:00Speaker 1: a situation that we just probably.
- 36:02Speaker 2: Will never here. Correct.
- 36:04Speaker 1: So, people are detained in these detention centers and the
- 36:08Speaker 1: conditions really are truly a death sentence. Many times there
- 36:13Speaker 1: were mass graves discovered behind this detention center. Injuries are
- 36:18Speaker 1: not being reported, people aren't getting access to blood pressure medication,
- 36:22Speaker 1: and just like stroking out and dying, right, So, just
- 36:25Speaker 1: really horrific conditions. So with that in mind, the US
- 36:31Speaker 1: capitulates in many ways with Seacott and the l Salvadoran government.
- 36:35Speaker 2: If you are Christininome, go there for like a photoshoots?
- 36:38Speaker 1: Yeah, literally, yes she did. And so after she shot
- 36:42Speaker 1: her dog, she went there, right, And that's not a joke,
- 36:44Speaker 1: it's an actual fucking fact. So they had these photo shoots,
- 36:49Speaker 1: and the US capitulates and they have I'm not gonna
- 36:54Speaker 1: I mean, like, I'm not going to let anyone off
- 36:56Speaker 1: the hook here. This has been multiple administrations have allowed
- 36:59Speaker 1: this to happen. You're also if you're salvador in in
- 37:02Speaker 1: America and you commit a crime, it can be a
- 37:05Speaker 1: very small crime, and you're marked as to put a
- 37:08Speaker 1: deportee back to Salvador. They will inform the government, hey
- 37:13Speaker 1: there's someone who's a criminal coming back.
- 37:15Speaker 2: They're coming back.
- 37:16Speaker 1: They will meet them at the airport and immediately detain them.
- 37:19Speaker 1: So the US government is like check, Yes, we are
- 37:22Speaker 1: effectively buying into this, and every human rights organization and
- 37:26Speaker 1: the UN have spoken out about this.
- 37:27Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 37:28Speaker 1: So CBS was a long time stallwart of American journalists.
- 37:34Speaker 2: Yes, they were, especially sixty minutes.
- 37:37Speaker 1: Yeah, they were neutral fact finders. Sixty minutes. We're just
- 37:41Speaker 1: going to report on this, on what's happening. It is not,
- 37:45Speaker 1: you know, polarized opinion. It's very similar to our show, exactly.
- 37:51Speaker 2: Just like us, the same rigid standards.
- 37:54Speaker 1: Three hours before air, CBS News announced it was pulling
- 37:58Speaker 1: the segment, which was detailing Sea Caught, the conditions, how
- 38:03Speaker 1: people are deported there, and the government's sort of involvement,
- 38:07Speaker 1: and correspondent Charnel Fonsi accused editor in chief Barry Weiss
- 38:12Speaker 1: of pulling it for political reasons. Weiss claimed it wasn't
- 38:15Speaker 1: ready for air, so it was very splashy, made a
- 38:18Speaker 1: lot of headlines. But I also think a lot of
- 38:20Speaker 1: people missed this, So the timing of this was very suspicious.
- 38:23Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 38:25Speaker 1: Trump recently attacked sixty minutes at the time that they
- 38:28Speaker 1: pulled the segment. Okay, so it was right before that,
- 38:32Speaker 1: and this was I mean, it's still happening. But this
- 38:34Speaker 1: was at a time when he was really going after
- 38:37Speaker 1: the networks. Do you remember this, And they were all
- 38:40Speaker 1: threatening to slap them with fines, and they were all
- 38:43Speaker 1: looking to save millions, and so they were all bending
- 38:46Speaker 1: the knee and many of them said they weren't going
- 38:50Speaker 1: to do like really negative coverage. He was also finally
- 38:53Speaker 1: lawsuits against them. Yeah, so Barry Weis denied political motives.
- 38:57Speaker 1: Critics accused CBS leadership of censorhip and anticipatory obedience with
- 39:02Speaker 1: the Trump administration.
- 39:04Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 39:05Speaker 1: It's scary, it really really is.
- 39:06Speaker 2: We're in a bad, bad place, guys.
- 39:09Speaker 1: I saw the plane nineteen eighty four. Not to talk
- 39:11Speaker 1: about all my live theater experiences at once, but I
- 39:14Speaker 1: keep thinking about nineteen eighty four, right, Like, access to
- 39:18Speaker 1: neutral facts is scarcer and scarcer.
- 39:22Speaker 2: Yep.
- 39:23Speaker 1: People are getting information about our government from international sources.
- 39:28Speaker 1: People are going to the BBC to find out what's
- 39:29Speaker 1: happening here. Yeah, people are going to the Guardian figure
- 39:33Speaker 1: out what's happening in the US. I got to comment
- 39:35Speaker 1: on my videos all the time. Oh they're reporting on
- 39:37Speaker 1: this totally different in Canada.
- 39:40Speaker 2: Not surprising, scary, really scary, but not surprising, not surprising
- 39:44Speaker 2: at all.
- 39:45Speaker 1: You were telling me when we were talking about Russia
- 39:47Speaker 1: years ago and the war in Ukraine.
- 39:49Speaker 2: And you were telling me that there was this young
- 39:53Speaker 2: man who was Russian but living in the Ukraine, and
- 39:57Speaker 2: when the war in the Ukraine between Russian and un
- 40:00Speaker 2: Paine started, he said that he was really surprised that
- 40:04Speaker 2: his father, who was in Russia, had not reached out
- 40:07Speaker 2: to see how he was doing. And then he reached
- 40:10Speaker 2: out to his father and was like, why are I
- 40:12Speaker 2: don't like, I haven't heard I haven't heard from you,
- 40:14Speaker 2: And he was just like nothing, but why why about?
- 40:17Speaker 2: What about what? And that just goes to show you like,
- 40:20Speaker 2: if a government decides that they don't want you to
- 40:23Speaker 2: know about what's going on, they can set it up
- 40:26Speaker 2: so that you don't know.
- 40:28Speaker 1: I think that's happening with Iran in many ways. Yeah,
- 40:30Speaker 1: Like there was a I saw over the weekend there
- 40:33Speaker 1: was an article the Times was reporting on all the
- 40:37Speaker 1: buildings that Iran media says they blew up American military sites,
- 40:45Speaker 1: and the US government was like, no, everyone's fine, nothing
- 40:49Speaker 1: bad's happening, nothing to see here. Obviously Iran is incentivized
- 40:53Speaker 1: to say that they've done much more damage than they
- 40:57Speaker 1: actually did. Is what sort of the US government was saying?
- 41:00Speaker 1: The Times incredible reporting cross referenced with international satellites, not
- 41:07Speaker 1: American satellites. They looked at global satellite footage of all
- 41:12Speaker 1: these sites and compared it to what Aram was saying happened,
- 41:15Speaker 1: and it was true. It was accurate, right, compared to
- 41:18Speaker 1: the information the American government was sharing.
- 41:20Speaker 2: And the problem with that, I mean, there are many
- 41:23Speaker 2: problems with that. But if we are not able to
- 41:27Speaker 2: trust what journalists in the United States are saying, how
- 41:33Speaker 2: are you to make an informed decision when you're at
- 41:37Speaker 2: the polls?
- 41:37Speaker 1: Truly?
- 41:38Speaker 2: Right? Because that's where we're hearing a lot of stuff,
- 41:41Speaker 2: right is through the news, looking going on the Internet
- 41:44Speaker 2: and hopefully accessing real news, not you know, Bob down
- 41:49Speaker 2: the block his fucking website. But how are people going
- 41:51Speaker 2: to make decisions if the information that we're getting is
- 41:56Speaker 2: basically fairy tales?
- 41:58Speaker 1: I don't know, And it's like, truly, the misinformation campaigns
- 42:03Speaker 1: as is tremendous and the way that people still consume
- 42:08Speaker 1: media and consume stories and trust it, and I don't
- 42:14Speaker 1: want to again, like I'm thinking about what AI bought
- 42:17Speaker 1: is going to pick up this audio file and say,
- 42:21Speaker 1: immigration lawyer Michael Foot says, don't trust information. Like literally
- 42:25Speaker 1: that's happened on some of my tiktoks. It's like a
- 42:27Speaker 1: fucking web crawler picks it up and then they report
- 42:31Speaker 1: on what I said and they never called me for
- 42:34Speaker 1: a quote. They're like quoting the video. It's like written
- 42:37Speaker 1: by a robot. But the way people consume media it
- 42:42Speaker 1: is trust and then later if it's debunked, question right.
- 42:46Speaker 1: And I do think there has to be the shift too.
- 42:50Speaker 1: We kind of really do need to question what we're
- 42:52Speaker 1: being told.
- 42:53Speaker 2: I mean, I think especially when you think about again
- 42:56Speaker 2: going back to CBS, this idea that since very well
- 43:00Speaker 2: has taken over, it does feel a little bit like
- 43:05Speaker 2: I don't know that I want to watch CBS the
- 43:09Speaker 2: way that I used to watch CBS.
- 43:11Speaker 1: And this is why there were so many like Molly
- 43:13Speaker 1: jong Fast is an incredible journalist. She and many journalists
- 43:17Speaker 1: were freaking out about this happening at CBS then pulling
- 43:21Speaker 1: this sixty minutes because CBS was one of the last
- 43:25Speaker 1: few reiraining neutral reporters. Everyone else has fallen to this polarized.
- 43:32Speaker 2: Opinion going away or another yeah.
- 43:35Speaker 1: Reporting, and so they were. Weeks later, CBS aired the
- 43:38Speaker 1: segment with only minor editions referencing government responses. So they
- 43:43Speaker 1: eventually aired the whole thing, but after this whole drama.
- 43:46Speaker 1: So it was originally set to air during this time
- 43:48Speaker 1: when there was going to be a ton of viewerships
- 43:50Speaker 1: because of the NFL game, and then they waited three
- 43:52Speaker 1: weeks and aired it during a competing game on a
- 43:55Speaker 1: different network to basically effectively bury it.
- 43:58Speaker 2: And they didn't renew the contract of the report.
- 44:00Speaker 1: They didn't renew it.
- 44:01Speaker 2: Yeah, they didn't renew it.
- 44:02Speaker 1: So she's basically fired. That's a shorthand way.
- 44:06Speaker 2: Of righting again. So what are we to do?
- 44:09Speaker 1: Right?
- 44:10Speaker 2: So a reporter who tried really hard to do really
- 44:13Speaker 2: good work, detailed work, put all her energy into it,
- 44:17Speaker 2: trying to report the facts, and she did that, which
- 44:21Speaker 2: is what we want reporters to do, right, And now
- 44:23Speaker 2: she's out of a job.
- 44:24Speaker 1: What the fuck. Yeah, Barry Wise, what the hell?
- 44:27Speaker 2: I mean?
- 44:27Speaker 1: She will go down in history as the American censor
- 44:31Speaker 1: I know.
- 44:31Speaker 2: But she doesn't care.
- 44:33Speaker 1: She's not minted, She's got her Golden Parish exactly. She
- 44:36Speaker 1: doesn't care.
- 44:37Speaker 2: She doesn't care.
- 44:38Speaker 1: A government can censor journalists in like very specific instances,
- 44:43Speaker 1: and there you have to go into an emergency hearing
- 44:46Speaker 1: in front of a judge, and it's priorate straints. You
- 44:49Speaker 1: basically have to argue that the government would have to
- 44:52Speaker 1: argue that this would jeopardize national security in some way
- 44:57Speaker 1: that is imminent, like there's an actual operation happening and
- 45:01Speaker 1: the soldiers will be at risky if this goes to air, right,
- 45:05Speaker 1: which is not the situation that this is not this
- 45:09Speaker 1: at all? Right, Right, this was just going to cause
- 45:11Speaker 1: outrage about Trump's immigration policy, which it should.
- 45:16Speaker 2: It should, But that's not Barry Weiss's agenda.
- 45:20Speaker 1: What is her agenda? I mean, my god, I mean,
- 45:22Speaker 1: I mean.
- 45:22Speaker 2: Well, I mean everything that I've read about her, you know,
- 45:25Speaker 2: they keep on calling her Maga codd, right, So that's
- 45:28Speaker 2: her agenda. That's her agenda. Her agenda is to support
- 45:33Speaker 2: this particular president as opposed to being an actual good
- 45:39Speaker 2: news person right, her her agenda is to support this
- 45:43Speaker 2: particular president because for whatever reason she either agrees with
- 45:46Speaker 2: him or whatever. And that's the problem, is not that. Listen,
- 45:52Speaker 2: there are many people who think the president has the
- 45:54Speaker 2: right idea right, and that's fine. You're entitled to do that. However,
- 45:59Speaker 2: that should not stop you from doing the work that
- 46:03Speaker 2: you're supposed to be doing. So if you are a
- 46:04Speaker 2: doctor who is a sort of maga coated as well
- 46:09Speaker 2: and thinks that abortion is murder, but you've got somebody
- 46:14Speaker 2: in front of you who is going to die if
- 46:17Speaker 2: she doesn't get one, your obligation is to take care
- 46:21Speaker 2: of that person humanity, to do no harm. And that
- 46:25Speaker 2: is not what's happening. I mean, and I don't like
- 46:29Speaker 2: saying this, and I don't like feeling this way, this
- 46:33Speaker 2: this feeling of like we are fucked.
- 46:35Speaker 1: I'm not there yet, but I might be next week.
- 46:38Speaker 1: You never know I'm there. Let me put it this way.
- 46:41Speaker 1: I feel like legacy media is dying in many ways.
- 46:45Speaker 1: It has been slowly. Would be the death rattle, we
- 46:48Speaker 1: don't know. I do see some hope for I hate
- 46:53Speaker 1: saying this, but like the next generation, but also independent media,
- 46:57Speaker 1: like there are some people that I follow where I'm like,
- 47:00Speaker 1: I really fucking trust this guy, yeah, or this person
- 47:03Speaker 1: I like did the research, or I now have, through
- 47:06Speaker 1: the internet, have access to this person who's a literal
- 47:08Speaker 1: expert who does this every day. And I've talked a
- 47:11Speaker 1: bit about how like I'm a little bit more ethical,
- 47:14Speaker 1: or I do more research on my videos before I
- 47:18Speaker 1: post them because I'm like, oh, thirty percent of gen
- 47:21Speaker 1: z gets their news from people like me on tikbook
- 47:24Speaker 1: and you you know.
- 47:26Speaker 2: And again, you're it's a platform that you have, You've
- 47:28Speaker 2: got a really good following. You want to do your best, right,
- 47:32Speaker 2: It's not it's it's you know, it's different if you're
- 47:35Speaker 2: sort of goofing around or whatever, but you are trying
- 47:37Speaker 2: to provide people with real information so that they can
- 47:41Speaker 2: then take that information and hopefully do something good with it. Right.
- 47:46Speaker 1: And at first I was like, oh, well, there's no
- 47:48Speaker 1: like checks and balances keeping me making sure that I'm
- 47:50Speaker 1: doing things the right way. But then it was like
- 47:52Speaker 1: there's none for legacy media out there.
- 47:55Speaker 2: Right, And it's also you are your own you should
- 47:58Speaker 2: be your own checks and balances, right.
- 48:00Speaker 1: Honestly, my fans and people that follow me are my
- 48:03Speaker 1: checks and balance. They clock me all the time and
- 48:04Speaker 1: they're like, you're wrong on that, and I'm like cool,
- 48:06Speaker 1: issue correction or they're correcting me, correcting me in the
- 48:09Speaker 1: comments and like people have access to that, like I
- 48:11Speaker 1: do sort of love that. Yeah, anyway, so this story
- 48:17Speaker 1: was horrifying.
- 48:18Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean I think it's we're going to see
- 48:22Speaker 2: more of this.
- 48:23Speaker 1: You think Mary Wise is going to get ousted? Do
- 48:25Speaker 1: you think she'll get got? Not yet, No, because I
- 48:28Speaker 1: feel like probably the board Yeah all.
- 48:31Speaker 2: Right, I mean but you know what, they'll actually let
- 48:34Speaker 2: me let me take that back. CBS is getting trounced
- 48:38Speaker 2: in terms of ratings now a right.
- 48:40Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 48:40Speaker 2: People who used to watch the evening news the CBS,
- 48:44Speaker 2: they're not anymore.
- 48:46Speaker 1: Wow.
- 48:46Speaker 2: I mean I think people like seeing Tony Dekopple in
- 48:50Speaker 2: the morning, but they don't trust him as much in
- 48:53Speaker 2: the evening for whatever reason. So crazy, but it happens
- 48:56Speaker 2: all the time, do you know what I mean? Like,
- 48:58Speaker 2: sometimes you see somebody I'd rather see you sort of
- 49:03Speaker 2: do morning TV, and for some reason, when you're it's
- 49:06Speaker 2: like it's.
- 49:07Speaker 1: Like fluffy, it's like less hard news. Yeah. I stopped
- 49:10Speaker 1: watching Survivor because it's on CBS.
- 49:13Speaker 2: Oh, I never watched Survivor.
- 49:15Speaker 1: Also, I didn't really feel like watching this season.
- 49:17Speaker 2: Okay, I couldn't tell you anything about Survivor.
- 49:22Speaker 1: Take a break, We'll come right back. Okay, with all
- 49:24Speaker 1: your burning questions from the Dmsure this is tales from
- 49:28Speaker 1: the DMS. These are all the questions that you send
- 49:31Speaker 1: us to our show. You could send us a question
- 49:33Speaker 1: at brief recess at exactly Wrightmedia dot com.
- 49:36Speaker 2: Friends, what do I always say? Michael is a lawyer,
- 49:40Speaker 2: but he's not your lawyer, So shop around, shop around,
- 49:45Speaker 2: shop around.
- 49:46Speaker 1: Someone said you have jarndice.
- 49:47Speaker 2: Yeah, I saw that. I responded to her, What.
- 49:50Speaker 1: Did you say?
- 49:50Speaker 2: I said that I didn't.
- 49:51Speaker 1: You don't have John.
- 49:52Speaker 2: I don't have jndice.
- 49:52Speaker 1: It's like this red dot on my head. People.
- 49:55Speaker 2: They were very concerned that you have John. Yes, very concerned.
- 49:59Speaker 1: I mean that's kind of nice.
- 50:00Speaker 2: I guess, or I mean, I mean, I don't think
- 50:03Speaker 2: you look like you have. I mean, I don't know.
- 50:05Speaker 1: Maybe, well, I will say I've never clocked someone's jaundice before.
- 50:10Speaker 1: I've never been at the club and been like, that's John, Tess.
- 50:14Speaker 2: You should see somebody.
- 50:14Speaker 1: I've never done that. I did read something. Actually, this
- 50:17Speaker 1: is so funny. Okay, this reminds me of the weirdest thing.
- 50:21Speaker 1: This girl was talking about how she worked at Hooters
- 50:25Speaker 1: and these guys were like, you know, the guys who
- 50:28Speaker 1: come to you Swooters are creeps. But this guy came
- 50:30Speaker 1: up and he was like, Hey, you don't have to
- 50:32Speaker 1: go to me, but I'm a dermatologist and there's a
- 50:36Speaker 1: mole on your left booby. Okay, you should go get
- 50:39Speaker 1: a checked out.
- 50:40Speaker 2: Did she?
- 50:40Speaker 1: And she did and it was cancer?
- 50:42Speaker 2: Oh wow.
- 50:42Speaker 1: See, so he was like, I know, don't have to
- 50:46Speaker 1: come to me. I'm not trying to get you alone.
- 50:47Speaker 1: I'm not going to give you my card, but just
- 50:50Speaker 1: go get that looked at.
- 50:51Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 50:51Speaker 1: So sometimes I mean, you never know, you never know.
- 50:53Speaker 2: I mean I can't remember. There was a there was
- 50:55Speaker 2: a show on HGTV. Yeah, his name is Tark and
- 50:59Speaker 2: he was MERSI this woman Christina. Anyway, he was on.
- 51:02Speaker 2: He was on his show and there was a nurse
- 51:05Speaker 2: watching and she noticed something in his neck and she
- 51:09Speaker 2: said basically exactly that. Listen. I know this is going
- 51:13Speaker 2: to sound crazy, but I think you should really go
- 51:16Speaker 2: check get this checked out. And he had cancer. He's
- 51:19Speaker 2: better now.
- 51:21Speaker 1: Wow. Yeah, Okay, we've got some crazy reviews to read.
- 51:25Speaker 2: Are we going to Are we going to read the
- 51:27Speaker 2: ones where people are upset with you?
- 51:32Speaker 1: Yeah, let's do it.
- 51:33Speaker 2: It was one that that was really funny. He's never
- 51:38Speaker 2: going to let her forget.
- 51:39Speaker 1: By the time you kicked someone on the subway. I'm
- 51:42Speaker 1: never going to let you go. I know it's fine
- 51:44Speaker 1: because it's something I would do and you finally did it,
- 51:48Speaker 1: so it's the only thing I can lurd over you.
- 51:51Speaker 1: He will never forget the boot subway emoji. So the
- 51:54Speaker 1: boot subway emoji? Oh, this person said, uh not the
- 51:59Speaker 1: Debbie Reynolds just so dance Jose Debbie Reynolds Puma eight
- 52:06Speaker 1: six five three said, smiled so big, trying not to
- 52:08Speaker 1: belly laugh out loud on my morning commuter train during
- 52:12Speaker 1: your algorithm is showing that my AirPods fell out. Okay,
- 52:15Speaker 1: when that happens, that's.
- 52:17Speaker 2: Sorryful, be careful, be careful.
- 52:20Speaker 1: They're expensive killing him with the interviews lately. Afroman Emily
- 52:24Speaker 1: Almanza Timar love hanging out with you to on my
- 52:27Speaker 1: way to work. Oh, thank you, I love that too.
- 52:31Speaker 1: I love those interviews too. Afroman was wild. We actually
- 52:34Speaker 1: didn't tell people bts getting Afroman interview what y'all didn't see?
- 52:38Speaker 1: And I did record a TikTok. Maybe I'll post this
- 52:41Speaker 1: was the six of us in the studio trying to
- 52:45Speaker 1: get that man on a zoom link that we could
- 52:48Speaker 1: record was wild. And I've never seen so many people scurry.
- 52:55Speaker 2: Yeah, it was a scurry. It was a flurry of activity.
- 52:58Speaker 1: And I'm and I get like updates from CJ in
- 53:01Speaker 1: my ear of so he afreman is pulled over on
- 53:06Speaker 1: the side of the road. He can't access to the
- 53:08Speaker 1: zoom link. He doesn't have a Zoom account, so we
- 53:11Speaker 1: are trying to get him registered with Zoom right now,
- 53:14Speaker 1: if you could just hold for a minute. But it
- 53:16Speaker 1: all worked out yet, it all worked out great.
- 53:19Speaker 2: Yet.
- 53:19Speaker 1: But he talked about Jesus a lot, but he's not
- 53:22Speaker 1: religious hysterical.
- 53:24Speaker 2: That was the best part of it though, Like I'm
- 53:26Speaker 2: not religious at all, but Jesus wept. Here's one that
- 53:32Speaker 2: I I nightcrawler his on Instagram. My god, you never
- 53:39Speaker 2: let her talk like we want to know about more
- 53:41Speaker 2: about the incident. Sis Unicorn says, yes, unfollowed him and
- 53:47Speaker 2: following her instead. Jay Jonesoon says same, like, shut up, dude,
- 53:55Speaker 2: tell us your little ursula story. Once she's told hers
- 53:59Speaker 2: and I I said to both, to all of them,
- 54:02Speaker 2: thank you. You guys are the best. He can't help himself.
- 54:04Speaker 1: You you jumped into a mommy on my turncoat, my
- 54:11Speaker 1: own friendsoat, I said, he can't help it at too brutus.
- 54:21Speaker 1: I love when people eat me up in the comments
- 54:23Speaker 1: because I think people think that I.
- 54:28Speaker 2: Do you think that people think what.
- 54:32Speaker 1: That I'm watching my videos at like what and I
- 54:35Speaker 1: admire them. I'm also eating me up like I'm also
- 54:39Speaker 1: like fuck this guy, Like, I'm also like you, you
- 54:43Speaker 1: are cutting her off, Michaels, stop doing it. And it's
- 54:46Speaker 1: because I'm so excited to talk to you. So people
- 54:50Speaker 1: come to the comments to read me. I'm there too, Yeah,
- 54:54Speaker 1: the calls coming from inside the house, it is.
- 54:57Speaker 2: I mean, I think the other thing that people couldn't
- 55:00Speaker 2: possibly know is that when you and I are alone
- 55:05Speaker 2: and we're talking about stuff, we can never get to
- 55:07Speaker 2: the end of anything. Do you know what I mean?
- 55:10Speaker 2: Like it'll be like, oh wait, let me circle back
- 55:13Speaker 2: around and tell you this other thing. Yes, right, we
- 55:17Speaker 2: were pretty chaotic in that way.
- 55:18Speaker 1: I don't think either of us have ever told each
- 55:20Speaker 1: other a full story, not one sitting ever. No, And
- 55:24Speaker 1: it's usually I call you after you'd be like, oh,
- 55:26Speaker 1: I forgot to tell you this one.
- 55:27Speaker 2: Oh by the way. Yeah, and it's worse. It's worse
- 55:30Speaker 2: when Alyssa's involved, well, because we're drunk. Well you know
- 55:34Speaker 2: what I think. The other day, we were on this
- 55:37Speaker 2: chat with another friend of ours and then it was
- 55:41Speaker 2: Alyssa's birthday and then he was like, wait, you guys
- 55:45Speaker 2: are all tauruses. It was like, yes, and that's why
- 55:50Speaker 2: it's chaos all the time.
- 55:53Speaker 1: Remember when I think I got I think you got
- 55:55Speaker 1: kind of drunk with Alyssa that one night. Do you
- 55:57Speaker 1: remember that like Tuesday? But I remember being like, Melissa
- 56:02Speaker 1: is drunk.
- 56:05Speaker 2: Acting crazy.
- 56:06Speaker 1: You get even more opinionated, like you're so like our
- 56:11Speaker 1: responses to any stimuli question is like an opinion of
- 56:17Speaker 1: a seven. Yes, you were an opinion of a ten.
- 56:20Speaker 1: It was like rather than like oh, it was oh
- 56:23Speaker 1: like it was like everything is just amplified Melissa and HD.
- 56:28Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, so good time though, it is really fun.
- 56:31Speaker 1: I took you to boxers once you and Alyssa. I
- 56:34Speaker 1: took you to box Yes.
- 56:35Speaker 2: And I am still convinced. I am still convinced that
- 56:40Speaker 2: in the nineties Boxers was another club. I'm sure it was,
- 56:44Speaker 2: but like, but like the same kind of club.
- 56:46Speaker 1: You guys don't understand. The whole time we were at Boxers,
- 56:49Speaker 1: a gay bar with shirtless men. Melissa's like, you know,
- 56:53Speaker 1: this used to be a different bar. I can't remember
- 56:55Speaker 1: the name. For two hours, you know, I don't remember
- 56:58Speaker 1: the name.
- 56:58Speaker 2: I was googling it. I was googling it. I texted
- 57:02Speaker 2: an old friend of.
- 57:02Speaker 1: Mine, bronzed, lubed up, bouncing pecs surrounding her, and she's
- 57:08Speaker 1: googling what this establishment used to be in the nineties.
- 57:11Speaker 2: I knew it used to be something.
- 57:13Speaker 1: Everything was something else in the nineties.
- 57:15Speaker 2: Sure, but like it was. I mean, I just thought
- 57:17Speaker 2: it was interesting, Michael, that it was. It was a
- 57:21Speaker 2: gay bar today and it was like the same gay
- 57:24Speaker 2: bar last time in the nineties.
- 57:26Speaker 1: A man with big bouncing double ds was doing pull
- 57:28Speaker 1: ups on a bar right in front of you. Yeah,
- 57:31Speaker 1: and you were like, I think this used to be
- 57:32Speaker 1: a TJ Max. This has been briefly says, thank you
