- 0:00Speaker 1: Coach, the energy out there felt different. What changed for
- 0:03Speaker 1: the team today?
- 0:03Speaker 2: It was the new game day scratches from the California
- 0:06Speaker 2: Lottery players.
- 0:07Speaker 3: Everything. Those games sent the team's energy through the roof.
- 0:09Speaker 1: Are you saying it was the off field play that
- 0:11Speaker 1: made the difference on the field.
- 0:13Speaker 3: Hey, little play makes your day, and today it made
- 0:15Speaker 3: the game.
- 0:16Speaker 1: That's all for now, coach, one more question play than
- 0:19Speaker 1: New Los Angeles Chargers, San Francisco forty nine ers and
- 0:22Speaker 1: Los Angeles ram scratchers from the California Lottery. A little
- 0:25Speaker 1: play can make your day. Peace made responsibilit must be
- 0:28Speaker 1: eighteen years or older to purchase plate or claim.
- 0:30Speaker 4: And once again, can you kind of give us an example.
- 0:33Speaker 4: I think you spoke by the last time, but just
- 0:34Speaker 4: to kind of make it real for people, you know,
- 0:37Speaker 4: in your personal experience of people that you know, what's
- 0:40Speaker 4: some of the more sizable contracts that you've seen people
- 0:44Speaker 4: get an example?
- 0:46Speaker 5: Yeah, So one one was definitely, like I said earlier,
- 0:50Speaker 5: that fifteen million dollar contract just for security services. Another
- 0:53Speaker 5: lady that I know, she has a company that does
- 0:58Speaker 5: logistics and she helped you find the will find lodging
- 1:01Speaker 5: when you go to locations. So she has a company
- 1:04Speaker 5: that certified as a DVE firm, and she just won
- 1:07Speaker 5: a contract at the beginning of COVID to help help
- 1:12Speaker 5: the government find lodging for people who were misplaced during COVID,
- 1:17Speaker 5: And that one was like almost fifteen million dollars as well.
- 1:21Speaker 5: And that's just to help people find and I think
- 1:23Speaker 5: it was up in New York now that I think
- 1:25Speaker 5: about it, but to help people find locations in you know,
- 1:28Speaker 5: different hotels. So all she really did was sourced to
- 1:32Speaker 5: find the lodging for them. Five million dollar contract just
- 1:37Speaker 5: two earlier, clean and service police vehicles. Yeah, oh, I
- 1:44Speaker 5: said dB. So that disadvantage Business Enterprise certification was one
- 1:48Speaker 5: that she had service and just clean police vehicles.
- 1:52Speaker 6: Fifteen million dollars, I meant five million dollar contract.
- 1:55Speaker 4: So and would you suggest that people go for government
- 2:01Speaker 4: like big government contracts or local contracts to start or both?
- 2:07Speaker 5: I would say both, but local because you will not
- 2:10Speaker 5: local because but local, Like it's like you said earlier,
- 2:13Speaker 5: you can build those relationships, you can get into the space.
- 2:16Speaker 6: At the federal level. There is a lot less.
- 2:19Speaker 5: Like red tape in terms of you know, how long
- 2:22Speaker 5: the process takes and how much well how long the
- 2:25Speaker 5: process takes in terms of you know, actually bidding and
- 2:27Speaker 5: going after these contracts. At the local level, it can
- 2:30Speaker 5: be a longer process, but I definitely say local one.
- 2:35Speaker 5: You have more say in what goes on locally. As
- 2:40Speaker 5: a business owner, you can also be like an active participant.
- 2:43Speaker 5: You spoke a little bit about, you know, politics at
- 2:47Speaker 5: the local level, right you being a business owner, that's
- 2:50Speaker 5: something you should definitely be worrying about at the state
- 2:53Speaker 5: and at the local level.
- 2:56Speaker 6: That's somewhere that you could you know, use your business
- 2:58Speaker 6: influence as well.
- 3:00Speaker 5: And then also ensuring that hey, you know you you
- 3:03Speaker 5: promise this, we need to go through a disparity study
- 3:06Speaker 5: or whatever the case may be.
- 3:08Speaker 6: Make sure that you're using that at the local level.
- 3:10Speaker 5: As well, so that I would definitely push people to
- 3:13Speaker 5: start doing more local. We always see federal government contracting
- 3:17Speaker 5: opportunities and they will always be there, but you want
- 3:21Speaker 5: to solidify that space at the local level.
- 3:23Speaker 3: So you gave us one side. I know last time
- 3:25Speaker 3: we spoke, we were talking about SAM dot GB and
- 3:26Speaker 3: that was for the federal contracts. Are there other sites
- 3:30Speaker 3: that we can use to find local contracts or do
- 3:33Speaker 3: we go federal? And then each state is different, right,
- 3:36Speaker 3: so he said, we got okay, got you, got you.
- 3:38Speaker 4: You literally just google your state or you gotta put
- 3:42Speaker 4: your city in Yeah, okay, Gotcha's like all right, you
- 3:45Speaker 4: know Yonkers New York contracts, right, something like that, government
- 3:51Speaker 4: contracts and then.
- 3:52Speaker 5: Contracts, procurement, purchasing or doing business.
- 3:56Speaker 4: With because every city has its own website.
- 3:58Speaker 3: But should create the data base for all of them.
- 4:05Speaker 4: You're working on that, yes, yes, yes, that's a good idea.
- 4:10Speaker 3: Right, So that way you have everything at one. All
- 4:12Speaker 3: I do is type my city and then things will
- 4:14Speaker 3: come up. Right. We don't have to. We wouldn't have to.
- 4:16Speaker 3: We can stay save a step by type and Google
- 4:18Speaker 3: and type in uh the actual city you want to
- 4:20Speaker 3: go to, and then trying to find a list of sites.
- 4:22Speaker 3: We have one database where city it comes all the contracts.
- 4:25Speaker 4: So the first the first step is to identify your
- 4:28Speaker 4: states or your town's website, go into portal and then
- 4:33Speaker 4: look to see what contracts is currently out there, what's available,
- 4:39Speaker 4: Get registered through the portal and then put your bidd
- 4:42Speaker 4: in right, and then network and then network with the people,
- 4:46Speaker 4: build the relationships and establish the line of communication and
- 4:52Speaker 4: start getting money from the government hopefully if if it
- 4:54Speaker 4: works out for you in that in that channels.
- 4:55Speaker 6: Right, Yeah, that's it.
- 4:57Speaker 5: That happens to all of those different agencies you talked
- 5:01Speaker 5: about the government, but the poored authorities, the airports, all
- 5:04Speaker 5: of those type into all of those opportunities.
- 5:07Speaker 4: Okay, so yes you have we have some questions. Now
- 5:12Speaker 4: we can do you have before we go to questions?
- 5:14Speaker 4: Do you have anything else you wanted to add to that?
- 5:17Speaker 6: No, I think that's it. I prefer the question is
- 5:20Speaker 6: usually because it gives me, you know, where people want
- 5:23Speaker 6: to go.
- 5:23Speaker 4: Yeah, so this is this is this is another added
- 5:26Speaker 4: difference from Eyo University versus the podcast where it's an
- 5:31Speaker 4: interactive experience where I saw somebody say like this, ps
- 5:34Speaker 4: like collegists. That's how we try to name That's how
- 5:36Speaker 4: we named the Eyo University. So do the presentation speak show,
- 5:41Speaker 4: you know, screen share, stuff like that. But the most value,
- 5:44Speaker 4: how I learn the best is through asking questions. So
- 5:47Speaker 4: similar to like how Market Monday's works, we open it
- 5:50Speaker 4: up and then everybody who has a question has a
- 5:52Speaker 4: chance to raise their hand the next question. So this
- 5:54Speaker 4: is what we're going to go to. Now we're gonna
- 5:56Speaker 4: get some questions answered.
- 5:57Speaker 3: Let's go to Anthony Adams. Anthony was going on, I'm
- 6:00Speaker 3: mut yourself, you've been unmuted. What's going on? What up?
- 6:10Speaker 3: What's going on? Anthony? I see you unmuted, you're unmuted,
- 6:14Speaker 3: but we can't hear you. Hear you?
- 6:17Speaker 4: What's going on? Bro yeh damn Anthony. You couldn't couldn't
- 6:24Speaker 4: get it, couldn't get his volume together.
- 6:27Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, when whenever you get it together, man, just
- 6:29Speaker 3: just type me. Uh is that lately? I came to
- 6:33Speaker 3: see it once again.
- 6:35Speaker 4: It's like being in class sometimes when the teacher calls.
- 6:37Speaker 3: On you got you ready? I have to be ready.
- 6:40Speaker 4: It's extremely important.
- 6:41Speaker 3: Life lesson, Khalil, we're coming to you. Mut yourself, you've
- 6:44Speaker 3: been unmuted. What's going on, Khalil, what's going on?
- 6:49Speaker 2: I'm good, Thanks for picking on me, but uh, I
- 6:53Speaker 2: beg everything she went over. I kind of I'm kind
- 6:57Speaker 2: of passed that part. So I honestly just when it
- 7:00Speaker 2: like like some personal like sauce like just I've probably
- 7:05Speaker 2: been registered registered for like a year. I'm just not
- 7:08Speaker 2: having no luck winning anything now, like so like go ahead, yeah,
- 7:15Speaker 2: just like personal tips like or like you know, like
- 7:18Speaker 2: something you do or something you did that betters your chances.
- 7:21Speaker 2: I've been registered. I've been like, I know, you know
- 7:24Speaker 2: the basis of everything. I just can't win anything.
- 7:26Speaker 6: No, got it. And you've been beating on these contracts too,
- 7:30Speaker 6: or you were just tell me yes.
- 7:34Speaker 2: I like I said, I'm not the best of it
- 7:36Speaker 2: at it.
- 7:36Speaker 3: I got it.
- 7:37Speaker 2: Uh. I figured it out during the pandemic, like kind
- 7:41Speaker 2: of on my own through YouTube and Google after I
- 7:44Speaker 2: seen something about it on Instagram. So it was kind
- 7:47Speaker 2: of hard for me to like call and build them
- 7:50Speaker 2: relationships and ext those certain questions because you know, a
- 7:52Speaker 2: lot of stuff was closed and now everything opened it
- 7:55Speaker 2: back up. I'm trying to catch up. But it's like
- 7:56Speaker 2: I said, I'm not the best at bitting or trying
- 7:59Speaker 2: or pricing it. That's my biggest problem pricing. And like,
- 8:03Speaker 2: for example, you said the police car contract, I've seen
- 8:06Speaker 2: one of those from my city and it's like I
- 8:08Speaker 2: had no idea how to go about it, so I
- 8:09Speaker 2: missed it.
- 8:11Speaker 5: Okay, So usually your your issue is pricing. The best
- 8:16Speaker 5: thing for you to do would be to see what
- 8:18Speaker 5: the previous contracts were awarded for so you can request
- 8:23Speaker 5: that information about you know has this contract been awarded previously?
- 8:27Speaker 5: You can ask them multiple things. Has it been awarded previously?
- 8:30Speaker 5: Can the previous award e also bid on this contract?
- 8:34Speaker 5: That's another question you want to ask, But also ask
- 8:37Speaker 5: them what was the price for that past contract if.
- 8:40Speaker 6: It's never been awarded before.
- 8:43Speaker 5: A way that you could also do is go through
- 8:46Speaker 5: other companies to get quotes, right, ask these companies for
- 8:49Speaker 5: quotes to figure out how much you know this product
- 8:52Speaker 5: or services service actually costs, and then you can determine
- 8:56Speaker 5: what your price or you know what your price will
- 8:58Speaker 5: be based off of how much you would gain in
- 9:01Speaker 5: terms of profit and how much it would cost.
- 9:04Speaker 6: So that's that's like in terms of pricing, that's what
- 9:07Speaker 6: I would say.
- 9:09Speaker 2: Okay, I have two more questions that that's not a problem.
- 9:12Speaker 4: Breaking all the rules.
- 9:13Speaker 3: Goidelines, goidelines, goidelines, godlines, It's all good, God.
- 9:18Speaker 2: I said, I got two more short questions questions r FI.
- 9:23Speaker 2: I know that means a request for information, but what
- 9:26Speaker 2: are they actually asking for? It's usually just like a
- 9:29Speaker 2: bunch of stuff that's like no direct request, got it?
- 9:34Speaker 5: RFIs they really just want to know what businesses are
- 9:37Speaker 5: available to provide whatever this product and service is that's
- 9:41Speaker 5: really just their way of checking out the landscape to
- 9:45Speaker 5: see if someone is actually here. And if we put
- 9:47Speaker 5: this opportunity out, will some companies actually bid on it?
- 9:51Speaker 5: So the best thing for you to provide to them
- 9:53Speaker 5: would be you should have a one pager each capability statement,
- 9:57Speaker 5: So you want to provide that. You also want to
- 9:59Speaker 5: provide just a general letter explaining your business and the
- 10:03Speaker 5: products that you can provide. The products are services that
- 10:05Speaker 5: you'll be able to provide to them based off of
- 10:08Speaker 5: their requests.
- 10:09Speaker 2: So what about subcontracting through RFI? Would I be able
- 10:13Speaker 2: to give them someone else's information?
- 10:16Speaker 5: You can, but the thing is, you don't want to
- 10:19Speaker 5: put it as someone else's information unless uh huh, unless
- 10:25Speaker 5: this is a thing, unless it's something that you will
- 10:28Speaker 5: be doing in conjunction with them, or if they're asking
- 10:31Speaker 5: for a sub contractor. So what you would have to
- 10:33Speaker 5: do is say, hey, we can provide this product or
- 10:35Speaker 5: this service, and then when the contract is actually put
- 10:39Speaker 5: out based off of that RFI, when that contract is
- 10:41Speaker 5: actually put out, you can add them in there as
- 10:44Speaker 5: a subcontractor. But initially you just want to let them know, hey,
- 10:47Speaker 5: I'm available, I can do I.
- 10:49Speaker 2: Got all right last thing, purchase orders because most things
- 10:54Speaker 2: are net thirty and most times, even if you do
- 10:58Speaker 2: have the money, you don't want to spend your own money.
- 11:00Speaker 2: Is there any ways or strategies to get funding for
- 11:03Speaker 2: purchase orders until they can like pay out the contract?
- 11:07Speaker 5: So there are firms who actually provide contracts on government
- 11:13Speaker 5: and will provide loans on government contracts. As of right now,
- 11:17Speaker 5: I don't have any direct referrals for you, but the
- 11:21Speaker 5: best thing I would would to do would be, you know,
- 11:24Speaker 5: used like the Google mindset in terms of figuring out
- 11:27Speaker 5: what companies are out there.
- 11:28Speaker 6: There are only a few of them that I know
- 11:30Speaker 6: for sure.
- 11:31Speaker 5: That provide loans on government contracts, But I've never gotten
- 11:36Speaker 5: a loan on a contract with them, so I'm not
- 11:38Speaker 5: sure how you know. You can make sure you're ask
- 11:40Speaker 5: them about their terms, you know, interest rates and things
- 11:43Speaker 5: like that, but the best thing would be to just
- 11:45Speaker 5: google around to figure out what businesses provide loans on
- 11:50Speaker 5: government contracts.
- 11:52Speaker 3: Well, we appreciate you, my brother, and hopefully you got
- 11:54Speaker 3: some information. It seems like there was a lot what
- 11:56Speaker 3: kind of businesses you have real quickly, let me just.
- 12:03Speaker 7: Personally, I have a cleaning business.
- 12:05Speaker 2: But it's like always a lot of miscellaneous things that
- 12:08Speaker 2: you can always be it on too in Philadelphia.
- 12:12Speaker 4: Yes, how did I know?
- 12:15Speaker 7: I was about to ask you that too?
- 12:18Speaker 4: I could tell by the I could tell by the accent.
- 12:20Speaker 3: Man uh.
- 12:23Speaker 4: And I can tell why. I can tell why your name.
- 12:25Speaker 4: Everybody in Philly got an Arabic name, and they and
- 12:28Speaker 4: they speak the same. Everybody and fully speaks the same.
- 12:30Speaker 7: You just got to figure it out.
- 12:33Speaker 3: You got a beard?
- 12:35Speaker 7: No, no, I can't.
- 12:39Speaker 3: All right, brother, appreciate appreciate you appreciate it.
- 12:43Speaker 4: Hold on, wait, I got a question. Capability statement. Can
- 12:48Speaker 4: you just explain what that is? Can you guys spoke
- 12:49Speaker 4: about that?
- 12:50Speaker 6: Yes?
- 12:51Speaker 5: So capability statement is a marketing one pager that talked
- 12:54Speaker 5: about your business. So you'll outline, you know, what the
- 12:58Speaker 5: work is that you do. You'll outline usually the codes,
- 13:03Speaker 5: the next codes and n IGP codes are commodity codes.
- 13:06Speaker 5: You'll share if your business is certified, what certifications your
- 13:10Speaker 5: business have, and then also what past performance you have,
- 13:14Speaker 5: so that'll show the agency exactly who you are, the
- 13:17Speaker 5: work that you've done, some of the things that set
- 13:21Speaker 5: your business apart from the others, which you know You
- 13:24Speaker 5: can also add another section in there, which isn't always certification.
- 13:27Speaker 5: Sometimes it can be that you do something you know
- 13:30Speaker 5: different from the status quo and you can add that in.
- 13:35Speaker 5: Those are the key differentiators. So those are the things
- 13:37Speaker 5: that you will have on the capability statement. And it's
- 13:39Speaker 5: a marketing one pager that you know, you send two
- 13:42Speaker 5: agencies to let them know about the work that you're doing.
- 13:46Speaker 3: All right, Lou Rivera, we coming to you. I'm mute yourself.
- 13:49Speaker 3: You've been on muted. What's going on, Lou? What's going on?
- 13:53Speaker 7: Guys? Thank you very much for choosing me. I have
- 13:55Speaker 7: one quick question.
- 13:59Speaker 2: To the young If you were starting a business today
- 14:02Speaker 2: to try to get into government contracting, what would you
- 14:05Speaker 2: choose and why?
- 14:08Speaker 5: For me starting a business, my first one would be
- 14:11Speaker 5: when I my first one, I'm just gonna go, I
- 14:13Speaker 5: would start a business selling some commodities. One because I
- 14:18Speaker 5: do service based contract work now and I would prefer
- 14:21Speaker 5: to have a business that does commodities, granted that I
- 14:24Speaker 5: have the capital to be able to, you know, sell
- 14:27Speaker 5: these products and services to the government. I have actually
- 14:31Speaker 5: had a commodity company before, or were selling like medical
- 14:34Speaker 5: supplies and equipment to the government, and it was a
- 14:37Speaker 5: lot smooth transition than like the service based work that
- 14:40Speaker 5: I've been doing. So in terms of an industry, I
- 14:43Speaker 5: would focus more on textiles and like merch any type
- 14:49Speaker 5: of gear or merch or things that I could get
- 14:51Speaker 5: to them, I would.
- 14:52Speaker 6: Do something like that right now. Okay, thank you very much.
- 14:56Speaker 7: I appreciate you. I appreciate you guys as well.
- 14:58Speaker 3: I love you. Appreciate you. I appreciate you. A great question.
- 15:01Speaker 3: That was a good one. I was. I was trying
- 15:02Speaker 3: to figure out what commodities pharmaceuticals before let's go to Joy.
- 15:11Speaker 3: Joy Ellington's going on, I meet yourself. You've been unmuted.
- 15:15Speaker 8: Hello, thanks for calling on me.
- 15:17Speaker 9: Of course, my family has a non for profit organization
- 15:23Speaker 9: and we wanted to know how what we fit in
- 15:26Speaker 9: and what type of department should we look for to
- 15:29Speaker 9: help things such as youth services and local like things,
- 15:35Speaker 9: gatherings and things like that. How can we assist in
- 15:38Speaker 9: that way?
- 15:40Speaker 10: Got it?
- 15:41Speaker 6: That's a good question.
- 15:43Speaker 5: So usually there aren't many well there aren't any contracts
- 15:47Speaker 5: that come out for nonprofits. But what your family could
- 15:51Speaker 5: do is partner with the city cities and all of
- 15:55Speaker 5: the commissioners and mayors, all of those people. They have
- 15:58Speaker 5: budgets that are allocated it for giving out funds to
- 16:02Speaker 5: nonprofit organizations. So the best bet would be to start
- 16:07Speaker 5: reaching out locally to see how you can either partner
- 16:10Speaker 5: with the city to put on this function. From there
- 16:13Speaker 5: you can gain some sponsorship dollars and then of course,
- 16:16Speaker 5: like I said, that sponsorship money from you know, those local.
- 16:19Speaker 6: Officials as well. So that's two two rounds for nonprofit.
- 16:26Speaker 8: Okay, thank you.
- 16:27Speaker 9: Yes, Because we do work with the youth and our
- 16:30Speaker 9: main thing is to gear them towards finding their purpose.
- 16:33Speaker 9: It is called vision citing purpose, and I just was
- 16:37Speaker 9: really trying to pinpoint where the starts.
- 16:40Speaker 8: So that helps a lot, thank you.
- 16:42Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 16:42Speaker 8: Also look at.
- 16:43Speaker 5: The school boards. Look at the school boards in the
- 16:45Speaker 5: school districts. You can do some work in that area.
- 16:47Speaker 5: And then also other local nonprofits like think about the
- 16:51Speaker 5: Urban League and things like that, you could partner with
- 16:53Speaker 5: them Urban League they have money for you to provide
- 16:57Speaker 5: some services too.
- 16:58Speaker 3: So yeah, if you go to your state site and
- 17:01Speaker 3: you can check out the fiscal budget and you can
- 17:02Speaker 3: break it down by category. It's one of the things
- 17:04Speaker 3: I was doing with before we were doing ey l
- 17:07Speaker 3: I was trying to scale our summer program, and I
- 17:09Speaker 3: was looking at the funding and seeing that there was
- 17:11Speaker 3: a budget for these type of programs and seeing the
- 17:14Speaker 3: qualifications that were needed to have the programs. It'd be
- 17:17Speaker 3: interesting now to see with COVID now that the states
- 17:20Speaker 3: and a lot of the local municipalities have had budget
- 17:23Speaker 3: cuts due to the amount of money that they've lost
- 17:25Speaker 3: during this time. So it'd be interesting to see what
- 17:26Speaker 3: their budgets look like now. But that's always a good strategy,
- 17:30Speaker 3: typing your state go to the budget and see where
- 17:32Speaker 3: the money's being allocated. Right now, Yes, let's go to
- 17:36Speaker 3: thank you. Who was that? That was Joy? Thank you
- 17:39Speaker 3: so much, Joy Laval were coming to you. I mute yourself.
- 17:42Speaker 3: You've been on mute. Hold on, hold on, No, we're
- 17:46Speaker 3: not puting them to a panelist. Now, all right, let's
- 17:51Speaker 3: go to Michael. Michael, we come to you. Mute yourself,
- 17:55Speaker 3: you've been unmuted. Hold on set.
- 17:58Speaker 7: Hello, Hello, Hello, there you go, Mike.
- 18:00Speaker 3: What's going on?
- 18:01Speaker 7: Oh, what's good? What's good? It's been a long time.
- 18:04Speaker 7: Was I appreciate it.
- 18:05Speaker 3: I've always always man.
- 18:07Speaker 11: Just one question, so and I apologize. It was making
- 18:10Speaker 11: dinner for part of this for the kids. But are
- 18:12Speaker 11: you using any tools like gov spend or is all
- 18:14Speaker 11: of this It sounds like a lot of your work
- 18:16Speaker 11: is just directly through the government websites. Is there any
- 18:20Speaker 11: other tools that you're using to source the contracts?
- 18:24Speaker 6: So, yeah, there are a number of tools.
- 18:27Speaker 5: I don't necessarily use gov spend because that one usually
- 18:30Speaker 5: just shows like how much the spending data, like historical
- 18:33Speaker 5: spending data.
- 18:35Speaker 6: If I'm paying for a.
- 18:36Speaker 5: Tool, I'm going to pay for a tool that shows
- 18:38Speaker 5: contracts that are coming out and that are out at
- 18:41Speaker 5: that very moment. So there are a number of different
- 18:45Speaker 5: tools that are out. So I think one of them
- 18:47Speaker 5: for sure that you know my team actually uses is
- 18:49Speaker 5: big Prime. There's a free tool called procure Now. We
- 18:55Speaker 5: use them, and our company actually just partnered with them
- 18:58Speaker 5: to share those opportunity of these as well. So those
- 19:01Speaker 5: are two that I primarily use.
- 19:05Speaker 7: And I'm sorry, what was the first one again?
- 19:07Speaker 6: Bid Prime, bid Prime?
- 19:12Speaker 7: All right, I do appreciate it, of course.
- 19:16Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 19:17Speaker 3: That's a good question. You know, I'm thinking now, like
- 19:19Speaker 3: in wholesaling, there's a middle man that brings a contract
- 19:22Speaker 3: from a buyer to itself. Does that happen in this
- 19:24Speaker 3: space with government contract and is this is it all?
- 19:28Speaker 3: It does happen all the time? Ah, so what is
- 19:31Speaker 3: it's not really hosted? What is it called in this space?
- 19:34Speaker 6: They call it a middleman method, That's what they call it.
- 19:39Speaker 7: Okay, it's not a bad way to go if you
- 19:41Speaker 7: can get somebody to drop ship before you.
- 19:45Speaker 4: At the thoughts going through my brain and Max Max
- 19:47Speaker 4: famously said, the middle man makes the most money in America.
- 19:52Speaker 3: Think about it, Think about it? Is this, coach, kadisia,
- 19:57Speaker 3: we're coming to you. I mute yourself, coach that you Yes, indeed,
- 20:01Speaker 3: it's a long time, long time.
- 20:03Speaker 8: What's going on?
- 20:04Speaker 3: Coach?
- 20:05Speaker 6: All is well as well.
- 20:06Speaker 12: I see y'all every Monday.
- 20:07Speaker 8: Y'all.
- 20:08Speaker 3: Just I just haven't heard your voice is so little?
- 20:12Speaker 3: Everything good, yes.
- 20:14Speaker 8: Sir, everything is great.
- 20:15Speaker 10: Everything is great.
- 20:17Speaker 13: I have.
- 20:18Speaker 12: First of all, I want to start with gratitude, So
- 20:20Speaker 12: thank you guys for spending your Wednesday with us and
- 20:23Speaker 12: sharing some information.
- 20:25Speaker 8: And then secondly my question.
- 20:28Speaker 12: I'm in the process of completing my family's plumbing companies
- 20:32Speaker 12: dB certification for the City of Atlanta and the structure
- 20:38Speaker 12: of our business we have. My mother and father are
- 20:42Speaker 12: the owners of the company, but my brother runs the
- 20:46Speaker 12: daily operation. So when submitting the financial information, is it
- 20:51Speaker 12: best to submit that information for all three individuals or
- 20:55Speaker 12: just the owners of the company.
- 20:57Speaker 5: Yes, they're going to ask and request the information on
- 20:59Speaker 5: all does your brother have ownership into the company.
- 21:02Speaker 12: He does not have ownership. It's sixty six thirty three
- 21:05Speaker 12: my father mother.
- 21:08Speaker 5: They may not ask for it just because they want
- 21:11Speaker 5: to know about the owner. So don't worry about the
- 21:13Speaker 5: brother as of right now. Only submit the information for
- 21:16Speaker 5: the owners. And then if they come back and ask
- 21:18Speaker 5: you all you will be able to provide that information.
- 21:20Speaker 6: But you don't want to give them too much.
- 21:22Speaker 12: A friend, Okay, all right, thank you. And I had
- 21:24Speaker 12: a question about a capability statement, but you already answer that.
- 21:28Speaker 12: And I just want to let you guys know that
- 21:30Speaker 12: his plumbing.
- 21:31Speaker 8: Seales and service will be at invest Fest. I'll be the.
- 21:36Speaker 3: What's on.
- 21:40Speaker 4: Invest fast and that's fast as the vibe. Talk about
- 21:43Speaker 4: your business if you can.
- 21:45Speaker 8: Oh, absolutely so.
- 21:46Speaker 12: My My family started a business in nineteen eighty one.
- 21:51Speaker 12: It started at the family room table, and forty years later,
- 21:55Speaker 12: we are, if not the oldest, one of the oldest
- 21:59Speaker 12: black owned place in companies in the state of Georgia.
- 22:02Speaker 12: My brother, A Tusk Alarm, has run the business for
- 22:06Speaker 12: over two decades now. He is a third generation licensed
- 22:10Speaker 12: master plumber and most recently my his oldest son, my
- 22:13Speaker 12: fourteen year old nephew. He's completed his second summer as
- 22:17Speaker 12: an apprentice with the company. We do eighty percent residential,
- 22:21Speaker 12: twenty percent commercial. We service the entire Metro Atlanta community.
- 22:26Speaker 12: Our phone number is four zero four six nine six
- 22:29Speaker 12: three one seven five again four zero four six nine
- 22:33Speaker 12: six three one seven five. We do everything from your
- 22:37Speaker 12: toilet to your shower to your sink, and we're most
- 22:39Speaker 12: recently adding acceptic tank truck to our fleet.
- 22:43Speaker 4: You have it and you will be at invest fast
- 22:45Speaker 4: clapping up for that.
- 22:47Speaker 6: Oh there it is.
- 22:51Speaker 12: Thank you guys so much, and thank you so much
- 22:53Speaker 12: for the value.
- 22:54Speaker 3: The coach, love coach. We'll see you. We'll see you
- 22:56Speaker 3: out here.
- 23:00Speaker 4: Biggest in the game and best playing with us. Monumental moments,
- 23:04Speaker 4: monumentous Absolutely, it will absolutely be Tyrrell.
- 23:10Speaker 3: We are coming to you. I know you was unuta before.
- 23:12Speaker 3: Thanks for being patient. Hopefully you got together. I'm mut yourself.
- 23:15Speaker 3: You've been ummuted, man.
- 23:17Speaker 14: No, no doubt man, no doubt. First off, I just
- 23:21Speaker 14: want to say, YO, appreciate y'all. Ever since I stumbled
- 23:23Speaker 14: across your podcast and just like YO, these dudes.
- 23:26Speaker 7: Is doing it.
- 23:27Speaker 3: They I'll just join E y L you my dog Yo.
- 23:31Speaker 7: They doing it man.
- 23:33Speaker 14: But uh, my question is I am studying to get
- 23:38Speaker 14: my dad coming after Godesia. Sorry if I butchered your name,
- 23:42Speaker 14: but I'm studying to get my electrical license. I'm a
- 23:45Speaker 14: union electrician in Jersey. So as far as government contracting, like,
- 23:50Speaker 14: once I do get my electrical license and establish my company,
- 23:57Speaker 14: is it, is it like ideal to go after these
- 24:01Speaker 14: kind of contracts or get some work under my belt
- 24:04Speaker 14: first then try to go out for these kind of contracts.
- 24:09Speaker 5: So I would say do a combination of both, Right,
- 24:11Speaker 5: try to try to get some work under your boat
- 24:14Speaker 5: first in that corporate space, but also look at it
- 24:16Speaker 5: from the aspect of what prime companies, what bigger contractors
- 24:21Speaker 5: can I subcontract with to provide his work. So specifically
- 24:25Speaker 5: for electrical work, I had a contract to work with
- 24:29Speaker 5: Semens to Seemens Mobility to locate a subcontractor for them
- 24:33Speaker 5: who did electrical work and they had to be certified
- 24:36Speaker 5: as a dve, So that's exactly why I resonate with
- 24:39Speaker 5: both stories that have recently.

- 27:38Speaker 5: both get experience in this space while also you know,
- 27:42Speaker 5: doing that work on the opposite end of it with
- 27:45Speaker 5: the corporate So do both. That's my recommendation for sure.
- 27:50Speaker 14: Word appreciate that now. Quick side question, Uh, I know
- 27:57Speaker 14: majority of Tom's a lot of places like or a
- 27:59Speaker 14: lot of of anything in general require licensing. Do you
- 28:05Speaker 14: think I should first get the license or like try
- 28:08Speaker 14: to bid before I get my license.
- 28:11Speaker 6: If you don't have.
- 28:12Speaker 5: A company that's a license that you can partner with,
- 28:16Speaker 5: get the license first because you won't be able to
- 28:19Speaker 5: do the work without getting license.
- 28:21Speaker 6: And then also thinking about.
- 28:22Speaker 5: It from an electrical standpoint, you'll probably still end up
- 28:25Speaker 5: having to partner with the company because along with that
- 28:29Speaker 5: work comes a requirement for bunding and things like that.
- 28:32Speaker 5: So you can do you know, you can wait, wait
- 28:37Speaker 5: till you get your license or actually find a company
- 28:39Speaker 5: that you can partner with to do that work.
- 28:41Speaker 14: So I appreciate you and appreciate y'all selecting me. Yo,
- 28:47Speaker 14: y'all keep doing what y'all do, and I definitely appreciate.
- 28:49Speaker 7: All of your love.
- 28:51Speaker 3: Bro shout the jersey jersey. Yes, sir, let's see what
- 28:57Speaker 3: we got. Let's see what we got, Dante Coleman, we
- 28:59Speaker 3: can to you. I'm the self. You be muted?
- 29:05Speaker 7: Hey, how you're dumb?
- 29:07Speaker 3: Were good?
- 29:07Speaker 7: Man?
- 29:07Speaker 3: Are you good?
- 29:09Speaker 7: Good?
- 29:09Speaker 9: Good?
- 29:09Speaker 7: Appreciate it for calling on me.
- 29:12Speaker 16: I got, I got a couple, I got some flowers,
- 29:16Speaker 16: A question and the advice if that's cool. I don't
- 29:20Speaker 16: want to be breaking no guidelines whichever all do you
- 29:23Speaker 16: want to go in?
- 29:23Speaker 3: Man?
- 29:24Speaker 4: First?
- 29:24Speaker 16: I want I want to get the flowers that all y'all,
- 29:27Speaker 16: you and the whole team like I've been I've been,
- 29:29Speaker 16: you know, studying, watching y'all since last year. A joint
- 29:32Speaker 16: you e y L dude, I'm from Philly too, and
- 29:36Speaker 16: the amount of people that you mean, when they see
- 29:38Speaker 16: me with rock walking around with your hoodies like they
- 29:41Speaker 16: y l, it'd be a whole networking with them. I mean,
- 29:46Speaker 16: it's like that's what it's all about you. I mean,
- 29:49Speaker 16: given given, I wish when I was going to school,
- 29:52Speaker 16: I had, you know, ones that look like y'all that
- 29:56Speaker 16: I could relate to and and really get me really
- 29:59Speaker 16: Brad grasps everything that y'all taking this. So yeah, I
- 30:02Speaker 16: definitely want to appreciate you and your old team and
- 30:04Speaker 16: keep doing with y'all.
- 30:05Speaker 3: Don't like everybody else said, appreciate it.
- 30:08Speaker 16: Appreciate Your question is, uh, I'm in the I'm in
- 30:13Speaker 16: the truck and industry, and I'm registered to do it
- 30:16Speaker 16: the bid, but I was wondering, do I have to
- 30:20Speaker 16: have my uh my dot register if I'm not uh
- 30:27Speaker 16: taking picking up the louds or because I plan on
- 30:31Speaker 16: having another company of you know, pick up the loads
- 30:35Speaker 16: or whatever and delivering, so you'll.
- 30:38Speaker 6: Need that company's dot information.
- 30:41Speaker 5: Okay, I want to know that somebody can do it,
- 30:45Speaker 5: so if you've been on it without the information, they'll
- 30:48Speaker 5: probably end up throwing your proposal out because you don't
- 30:51Speaker 5: have the authority to do it.
- 30:54Speaker 16: Okay, okay, cool, Well and do my do I have
- 30:58Speaker 16: to be registered as a different entity or like, do
- 31:06Speaker 16: do I have to put that down like I'm not
- 31:09Speaker 16: or I just need to submit the info?
- 31:11Speaker 6: And wait, do you have to pitch one down? I'm sorry?
- 31:15Speaker 16: All right, So so long as I have their dot number,
- 31:19Speaker 16: like the way that I'm registered now is no uh
- 31:24Speaker 16: specific way that I needed to have it my business structure.
- 31:29Speaker 16: So do I have to be as like an agent
- 31:32Speaker 16: not not an agent?
- 31:35Speaker 7: No?
- 31:36Speaker 3: No, no, no, no.
- 31:38Speaker 16: A dispatcher, I should say, or a broker or an
- 31:40Speaker 16: agent or yeah.
- 31:42Speaker 6: Yeah you can.
- 31:43Speaker 5: You can keep it that way, and just make sure
- 31:45Speaker 5: you use the dispatcher so you can say that you
- 31:49Speaker 5: you're a dispatcher and you provide you have you know,
- 31:52Speaker 5: companies who can provide this service and then for example,
- 31:54Speaker 5: you can use that company as one of your subcontractors.
- 31:57Speaker 6: Does that make sense?
- 31:59Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 31:59Speaker 16: I got you, yep, yep. Personally and the advices I
- 32:04Speaker 16: got to I'm in the trucking and I do uh engrave.
- 32:09Speaker 16: A matter of fact, I'm the one that did the puzzle.
- 32:13Speaker 3: Oh, appreciate that just seeing that. Appreciate that was love, bro. Yeah,
- 32:19Speaker 3: we need that.
- 32:20Speaker 4: I just need the I just need a hairline on that.
- 32:24Speaker 3: Oh look look I.
- 32:26Speaker 16: Did my best. I took that joone off of Google
- 32:30Speaker 16: so and market market Monday. You said you sent the
- 32:34Speaker 16: main man in the barbershop the uh the depict, I commented,
- 32:38Speaker 16: you know, I need that pick too.
- 32:40Speaker 3: Oh yeah, yeah.
- 32:43Speaker 4: I can't get this information. Send us your information and.
- 32:45Speaker 3: Send it to us. We'll get it to you. Get
- 32:47Speaker 3: to you, Okay, back back your ceiling and son.
- 32:52Speaker 16: So yeah, that's so.
- 32:54Speaker 7: That's me and my daughter. Business is called d n
- 32:56Speaker 7: A Creations.
- 32:59Speaker 10: Uh.
- 33:00Speaker 16: I'm teaching her, you know, how to, how to you know,
- 33:02Speaker 16: do designs and all that.
- 33:04Speaker 4: But my advice is, should I.
- 33:06Speaker 16: Go into the UH doing the trucking or should I
- 33:12Speaker 16: look for government contracts as far as UH provided merch
- 33:17Speaker 16: with that?
- 33:20Speaker 4: What what would you do?
- 33:22Speaker 6: Why can't you do both?
- 33:23Speaker 3: I like I like them both, man, I think. But
- 33:26Speaker 3: I think what you got with the puzzles is special. Man.
- 33:28Speaker 3: I haven't seen somebody that that's the first time I saw.
- 33:30Speaker 3: I mean, we had the chess board, but to have
- 33:33Speaker 3: the creative ability to actually create a puzzle out of
- 33:36Speaker 3: a piece of art, I think it's unique. I think
- 33:38Speaker 3: I think you got a niche right there.
- 33:40Speaker 4: He made a puzzle out of our emojis, really really dope.
- 33:44Speaker 16: And then and and another thing I was gonna do.
- 33:46Speaker 16: I was gonna I want to wait it, but I'm
- 33:49Speaker 16: gonna put the first one hundred shoes on on. I'm
- 33:52Speaker 16: engraved at on the board. I mean, whatever else you want.
- 33:56Speaker 16: Knowing that Jon and hopefully make that you on that
- 34:00Speaker 16: n f T. You know.
- 34:01Speaker 3: See there we gote thinking, Hey, Dante Khalil, he from
- 34:05Speaker 3: Philly too, he said, link him in the chat. Bro, Sir, sir, you.

- 34:13Speaker 16: let's network, let's go. I need to get down and
- 34:15Speaker 16: invest best too.
- 34:17Speaker 3: Yes, sent me what's your what's your email? Bro?
- 34:19Speaker 16: Uh?
- 34:21Speaker 3: In chat in the chat? All right, cool, appreciate send
- 34:24Speaker 3: it right to us, send it to the panelist. All yeah, yeah,
- 34:28Speaker 3: appreciate you.

- 35:01Speaker 4: thank you.
- 35:01Speaker 9: Man.
- 35:02Speaker 4: We gotta just take a pause break to to keep
- 35:07Speaker 4: things in perspective, and we gotta pay how much to
- 35:10Speaker 4: the institution at ey L h it's very it's a
- 35:14Speaker 4: very rare occasion. Like you know, we gotta bring you
- 35:16Speaker 4: market Mondays every Monday.
- 35:18Speaker 3: We do this.
- 35:19Speaker 4: You know, people get to ask questions. It's a new
- 35:21Speaker 4: way to learn, and it's providing information and it's revolutionary
- 35:28Speaker 4: and it's not something that has been done before.
- 35:31Speaker 3: So we appreciate all the support.
- 35:35Speaker 4: But sometimes when you get caught up in a moment,
- 35:37Speaker 4: you don't fully appreciate what is actually being offered. And
- 35:42Speaker 4: in my humble opinion, ey L is offering is second
- 35:46Speaker 4: to none in history, historical you really gotta you know,
- 35:52Speaker 4: there's a lot of information that has been given away
- 35:54Speaker 4: for the last two two and a half years.
- 35:55Speaker 3: So appreciate it.
- 35:58Speaker 4: But you know, sometimes we just have to say say
- 36:01Speaker 4: that it's very important.
- 36:04Speaker 3: I gotta do it. Gotta do it, man, No place
- 36:06Speaker 3: on earth, no place on earth like it it's gonna
- 36:08Speaker 3: be difficult. It's gonna be telling and soul separately. I
- 36:11Speaker 3: know that. Hey, Dot, I just hit you in any
- 36:15Speaker 3: DM bro, so uh, send me an info right there.
- 36:19Speaker 3: Let's see what we got. Let's Jessica. We're coming to you.
- 36:21Speaker 3: I hope you ready. Jessica was going on yourself. You've
- 36:24Speaker 3: been unmuted. Hey guys, Hey, how you doing.
- 36:29Speaker 17: I just want to say send my gratitude as well,
- 36:31Speaker 17: thank you for everything. I've been following you guys since
- 36:33Speaker 17: the beginning. I have put everybody that I know on,
- 36:36Speaker 17: from my sisters to family members.
- 36:39Speaker 8: So hopefully they see me.
- 36:41Speaker 17: And uh they see that I'm actually applying and using
- 36:43Speaker 17: the information and not just being entertained as well.
- 36:47Speaker 3: Thank you, Thank you, appreciate you.
- 36:49Speaker 8: My question was my.
- 36:51Speaker 17: Friend and I we started in the bet planning business,
- 36:53Speaker 17: and I just wanted to know if she recommends us
- 36:57Speaker 17: going through the local route to to see if we
- 37:01Speaker 17: can generate some CLIENTEAU that way, or should we are
- 37:07Speaker 17: there also federal contracts that we can go through. I
- 37:10Speaker 17: know that there's like elections and things like that when
- 37:13Speaker 17: it comes to event planning.
- 37:16Speaker 5: Yes, definitely local if you want to get into that
- 37:19Speaker 5: political space. And you know, so much money is spent
- 37:23Speaker 5: on elections, right we I think we've seen the number,
- 37:26Speaker 5: so much money is spent in that space. Starting local
- 37:30Speaker 5: with the event planning, it works one because you can
- 37:33Speaker 5: be there, you can physically set up these spaces, and
- 37:36Speaker 5: you can build a reputation off of you know, your
- 37:39Speaker 5: work alone in these spaces. When people go to these spaces,
- 37:42Speaker 5: they'll ask, you know, who hosted the event, who did this?
- 37:46Speaker 6: Who did that?
- 37:47Speaker 7: That.
- 37:48Speaker 5: You want your name to rain bills in spaces like this,
- 37:51Speaker 5: You want to be that local go to for these products.
- 37:53Speaker 5: I mean for this event planning service. So I definitely
- 37:57Speaker 5: recommend local for.
- 37:59Speaker 6: Event and planning.
- 38:03Speaker 3: There you have it. You there, Jessica, I think she's muted, but.
- 38:10Speaker 17: Thank you guys so much. We're New York based, so
- 38:14Speaker 17: a y y'all hit us up these altered the.
- 38:16Speaker 3: Core part New York.
- 38:19Speaker 8: We're Queen's based. Queens get everywhere.
- 38:22Speaker 17: We just did an event in Harlem and then we
- 38:24Speaker 17: shot over to the Bronx mixer for e y l.
- 38:28Speaker 4: Oh, shoot me your information. I gotta check it out
- 38:34Speaker 4: for sure.
- 38:34Speaker 8: Thank you guys so much, Take care, thank you.
- 38:39Speaker 3: Let's see. Let's see victorm we coming to you. You
- 38:42Speaker 3: ready on mute yourself? You've been unmuted. What's going on?
- 38:45Speaker 3: I love the vibe? Everybody got businesses? What's going on?
- 38:49Speaker 15: Man?
- 38:49Speaker 18: First, I want to say thank you a shot. I
- 38:52Speaker 18: went to the Bronx. I don't know if you remember me,
- 38:55Speaker 18: but uh, I one goal. I told you, hey, I
- 38:58Speaker 18: got one goal in my mind, and let's to see
- 39:00Speaker 18: if I could get a for university for scholarship. And
- 39:05Speaker 18: you gave it to me. I had to hit you
- 39:07Speaker 18: up through Instagram a couple of times.
- 39:15Speaker 4: I appreciate that.
- 39:16Speaker 3: I appreciate that your volume to my valuum down, turn
- 39:21Speaker 3: you volume locate.
- 39:25Speaker 4: He came and met me in the Bronx and he
- 39:27Speaker 4: said he needs a scholarship, and I said, let's do it.
- 39:31Speaker 9: Man.
- 39:31Speaker 4: So you know, anytime somebody, really I shouldn't even say
- 39:35Speaker 4: this now, everybody's.
- 39:35Speaker 3: Gonna run up on.
- 39:38Speaker 4: You see me in the street, man, you see me
- 39:41Speaker 4: in the street. You know, I try to just be
- 39:43Speaker 4: a man of the people. So if you need, if
- 39:46Speaker 4: you need any help or assistance or scholarship, you know,
- 39:48Speaker 4: we definitely, you know, try to make our best to
- 39:50Speaker 4: accommodate it. So welcome brother. I'm happy that you're here
- 39:54Speaker 4: and what's your question?
- 39:56Speaker 18: My question is I'm starting. I'm starting. Well, I'm a musician.
- 40:02Speaker 18: I like to do music, I do hip hop, and
- 40:05Speaker 18: I don't have like a business. Really, I have been
- 40:09Speaker 18: confused and what to really start with. So I thought
- 40:12Speaker 18: about maybe selling shirts and sweaters just to start there.
- 40:16Speaker 18: And my question was, how what is the best way
- 40:19Speaker 18: to start? Because I'm looking at online just websites where
- 40:24Speaker 18: I can just make a design and put it on
- 40:25Speaker 18: the shirt and sell it through there.
- 40:28Speaker 7: Is that the best idea to start?
- 40:31Speaker 3: That's actually exactly what we did. Like we went we
- 40:33Speaker 3: found a distributor on Printfull. We did a whole episode
- 40:36Speaker 3: about it. But yeah, we had a bunch of designs,
- 40:38Speaker 3: but we just didn't have the capital to put it
- 40:40Speaker 3: on a merch And so the thing with print for
- 40:42Speaker 3: was all we had to do was create design, they
- 40:44Speaker 3: would create create the merch, and they would actually distribute
- 40:47Speaker 3: it for us. So we saved us a lot of money.
- 40:49Speaker 3: But we realized as we grew and we scaled, we
- 40:52Speaker 3: were losing money because we were selling a lot of
- 40:54Speaker 3: merch but the percentages were so low on our profit.
- 40:58Speaker 3: But we had to start somewhere, so if you want
- 40:59Speaker 3: to start somewhere that's low cost, print fills a great
- 41:02Speaker 3: option and as you scale, then you start looking at all, right, well,
- 41:05Speaker 3: how can I have more of a profit margin from
- 41:08Speaker 3: the actual merchan that I'm using. That's exactly what we
- 41:10Speaker 3: did though, Bro.
- 41:11Speaker 4: Yeah, check that episode out. If anybody has questions about merch,
- 41:14Speaker 4: check our merch episode out. We gave our whole blueprint
- 41:16Speaker 4: on our journey and merch, which is not as easy
- 41:20Speaker 4: as it seems. It's a lot of moving parts when
- 41:22Speaker 4: it comes to merch, and we made a lot of
- 41:23Speaker 4: a lot of mistakes. So we learned from those mistakes
- 41:26Speaker 4: and we put it in the podcast. You know episode
- 41:28Speaker 4: that was thing.
- 41:28Speaker 3: It's like eighty nine. Yeah, you can just check it out.
- 41:31Speaker 4: But that merch episode is very, very vital to anybody
- 41:34Speaker 4: that's interested in merch.
- 41:37Speaker 7: All right, thank you, I appreciate it.
- 41:39Speaker 3: All right, bro, appreciate you. Let's see what we got here. Stan,
- 41:47Speaker 3: we're coming to you. I mute yourself. You've been on muted.
- 41:49Speaker 3: What's going on?
- 41:52Speaker 7: Hey, guys, that's going everything's great again. I had a
- 41:57Speaker 7: question for the young lady.
- 41:59Speaker 13: I heard you, and some contracts need to be burnded
- 42:03Speaker 13: how does how do you go about getting blinded? Because
- 42:07Speaker 13: I've dealt with the government contracts previously, and a lot
- 42:11Speaker 13: of the bigger contracts you needed to be burned.
- 42:14Speaker 7: So how do we go about doing that?
- 42:16Speaker 6: Yes, so usually it's two ways.
- 42:19Speaker 5: One, some of the cities and counties they'll have funds
- 42:24Speaker 5: associated with them, they'll have bunding capacity that you'll be
- 42:27Speaker 5: able to go through those different government institutions to do it.
- 42:30Speaker 5: But then also there are always companies who can help
- 42:35Speaker 5: you or provide like some bunding capacity. So I do
- 42:39Speaker 5: have some referrals for some companies that can do that.
- 42:42Speaker 5: If you message me, I can definitely share that information
- 42:45Speaker 5: with you. Just go to message me on Instagram at
- 42:48Speaker 5: WA and I can send you that information for those
- 42:51Speaker 5: bund those companies that can help you get bunded.
- 42:54Speaker 7: Okay, well, what's your Instagram all.
- 42:55Speaker 6: The time as g O V L I A.
- 42:59Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, okay, we'll do it all right.
- 43:03Speaker 4: Everybody on YouTube, if you could do me a favorite
- 43:04Speaker 4: and hit the like button, please like this video. If
- 43:09Speaker 4: you're watching on YouTube, please hit the like button. Coup
- 43:12Speaker 4: let's get a couple more questions.
- 43:13Speaker 3: Yeah, episode episode one on nine for the Merchant. I
- 43:16Speaker 3: know it wasn't note it wasn't one on nine. The
- 43:19Speaker 3: Merch episode is episode one oh nine the Merch. That's
- 43:22Speaker 3: the title.
- 43:24Speaker 6: March.
- 43:25Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean it's fitting, very fitting. I thought we
- 43:29Speaker 3: have Malikiya on there, but she actually put her hand down.
- 43:32Speaker 3: All you want to take a YouTube joint? No more questions? Yeah,
- 43:35Speaker 3: I think everybody's hand is done.
- 43:37Speaker 4: All right, Well, no, that's good, perfect timing. Actually, uh no,
- 43:43Speaker 4: you do not have to be a member of EYL
- 43:45Speaker 4: to it to attend invest Fest, but EYL members do
- 43:48Speaker 4: get a forty percent discount want to invest Fest. Okay,
- 43:53Speaker 4: so that was a lot of information. I want to want.
- 44:00Speaker 3: Got one one more after this, after you, Govanda, let's
- 44:03Speaker 3: go Javanda. We're coming to you. What's going on on yourself?
- 44:05Speaker 3: You've been unmuted one more, sir, you gotta tell your
- 44:11Speaker 3: value to your volume of Please, gentlemen and lady, can
- 44:17Speaker 3: you hear me, I'm gonna turn my thing up to
- 44:20Speaker 3: the match, but it's very low.
- 44:23Speaker 4: Yeah, we can hear you, but it's kind of like real, real,
- 44:27Speaker 4: far away, but we'll try to make it out. What's
- 44:30Speaker 4: your question?
- 44:31Speaker 10: Good evening, I appreciate you guys, and taking my question.
- 44:35Speaker 10: My question is am I limited to my parish or
- 44:41Speaker 10: county as far as saying local or cannot venture out
- 44:46Speaker 10: to surrounding counties or parishes?
- 44:49Speaker 4: Good?
- 44:49Speaker 3: Good question.
- 44:50Speaker 6: No, you are not limited.
- 44:52Speaker 5: Make sure you venture out as far as you can
- 44:55Speaker 5: go in that immediate area. Try to make sure you're
- 44:59Speaker 5: doing business with all of them. So no, you are
- 45:01Speaker 5: not limited in any way.
- 45:06Speaker 6: Thank you, welcome, appreciate it.
- 45:09Speaker 3: Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you. All right,
- 45:17Speaker 3: that's it, that's the last one, all right, glorious.
- 45:22Speaker 4: Yes, yes, so I want to I want to give
- 45:26Speaker 4: Shakiya an opportunity to tell her information. Well, first, we
- 45:30Speaker 4: want to thank you for coming on. I'm sure we'll
- 45:33Speaker 4: do more work together in the future. But can you
- 45:36Speaker 4: please let the people know everything you have going on
- 45:39Speaker 4: in your website and your Instagram because I see a
- 45:42Speaker 4: couple of people had asked for your Instagram handle and
- 45:45Speaker 4: your website, so yeah, can you team give them that information?
- 45:50Speaker 3: Please?
- 45:51Speaker 6: Yes.
- 45:51Speaker 5: So I am on Instagram at g o v l

- 48:30Speaker 4: it's not traveling, it's gonna be That's why it's it's
- 48:32Speaker 4: the festival, two hundred small business vendors, food vendors. So yeah,
- 48:39Speaker 4: it's gonna be something that we do every single year
- 48:44Speaker 4: and it right now it looks like Atlanta's going to
- 48:47Speaker 4: be the home of it. And Atlanta's gonna be the

- 49:12Speaker 4: talking about a bunch of different things, a bunch of
- 49:14Speaker 4: different topics, and it's gonna.
- 49:16Speaker 3: Be an experience. It's gonna be one of those moments
- 49:18Speaker 3: that you don't want to miss. Monument is historical. Somebody
- 49:23Speaker 3: told me Kwameacu. We had this conversation. He said, the
- 49:26Speaker 3: interesting thing about what's happening with EYL is that it's
- 49:29Speaker 3: being documented. So we look at the Hall on Renaissance
- 49:32Speaker 3: and we had to read about it, but there wasn't
- 49:34Speaker 3: any footage of it, right, it was just pictures. And
- 49:38Speaker 3: he was like, you know what, this is the new
- 49:39Speaker 3: renaissance and it's being documented. So I employ everybody to
- 49:43Speaker 3: be a part of this process because we put a
- 49:46Speaker 3: lot of work into it and everybody. It's for everybody's benefits.
- 49:49Speaker 3: So I look forward to seeing everybody. I look to
- 49:51Speaker 3: recording videos and your phones and taking pictures and all that.
- 49:53Speaker 3: I'm looking forward to it.
- 49:54Speaker 4: Somebody said, Jim Jones learned from nineteen Keys. Funny you
- 49:56Speaker 4: say that nineteen Keys will be there as well. We're
- 50:01Speaker 4: probably gonna have Jim Jones and nineteen Keys together for
- 50:04Speaker 4: a panel. That would make sense since then they're good friends.
- 50:08Speaker 4: So you know, you never know what could happen. No
- 50:11Speaker 4: virtual right now, because we really want to make it
- 50:13Speaker 4: an in person experience. So no virtual experience for this.
- 50:18Speaker 4: This is only in person, so you know, hopefully if
- 50:21Speaker 4: you can make it, it's gonna be it's gonna be
- 50:25Speaker 4: an experience. To remember that is a fact. Yes, Friday
- 50:27Speaker 4: is for VI I P only in the hotel. Information
- 50:30Speaker 4: We are working on that. We'll probably have an announcement
- 50:33Speaker 4: early next.
- 50:33Speaker 3: Week about that, So shout out to everybody that's that's
- 50:36Speaker 3: coming down to Atlanta to be a part of it.
- 50:39Speaker 4: Yeah, so thank you guys for joining us. The replay
- 50:42Speaker 4: will be available on YouTube. If you haven't watched the
- 50:45Speaker 4: whole thing, make sure you fo you telling me Instagram again.

- 50:53Speaker 5: And oh I forgotten to mention that we will be
- 50:55Speaker 5: launching a podcast talking about government contract and too called
- 50:58Speaker 5: government coins strictly government contracting government coins, so I had
- 51:03Speaker 5: to take a page out of the book.
