- 0:02Speaker 1: Welcome into Off the Bench, presented by All-Star Toyota.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Ooh, you're scary. We're bringing you the spookiest.
- 0:10Speaker 1: Sports talk in town. With Jacob Hester.
- 0:14Speaker 2: And Matt Lynn. Terrifying and terrible.
- 0:18Speaker 1: Live from the.
- 0:19Speaker 2: Haunted Raising Cane's studio, here's Jacob Hester and Matt Lynn.
- 0:24Speaker 2: Come on. All right, welcome back here. Hour number three.
- 0:34Speaker 2: Off the bench. Live here. Of course, it's a football Friday.
- 0:38Speaker 2: Getting you ready for the weekend. Live from Rouse's here
- 0:40Speaker 2: on Burbank. Come get your groceries. Come check us out.
- 0:44Speaker 2: Before we get this hour started, I want to tell
- 0:46Speaker 2: you about something very important with our friends over at Ochsner.
- 0:49Speaker 2: As we know, we are into October. Now, October is
- 0:53Speaker 2: Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and it's a good reminder every
- 0:57Speaker 2: single year here in October to take care of yourself.
- 1:01Speaker 2: Stay up to date on your recommended screenings. One in
- 1:05Speaker 2: eight women will face a breast cancer diagnosis during their lifetime.
- 1:09Speaker 2: An early detection can mean more treatment options and better outcomes.
- 1:13Speaker 2: So don't wait until you feel something. Breast cancer often
- 1:17Speaker 2: has no symptoms in its early stages. And mammograms can
- 1:20Speaker 2: detect cancer before it can be felt. So if you're
- 1:23Speaker 2: 40 or older and you're overdue for your annual mammogram,
- 1:26Speaker 2: make October the month you get it started. And if
- 1:29Speaker 2: you have a family history of breast or ovarian cancer,
- 1:33Speaker 2: dense breast, just make sure you're getting screened. Stay on
- 1:35Speaker 2: top of it. Prioritize your health. This is a good
- 1:39Speaker 2: reminder to do it. Here in Louisiana, Osner offers breast
- 1:43Speaker 2: cancer screening diagnosis and treatment at their cancer center. So
- 1:47Speaker 2: go check them out. Go visit them. Stay healthy. Let
- 1:52Speaker 2: Austin help you. We have the resources here. We got
- 1:55Speaker 2: top of the line doctors, facilities, everything to keep you healthy.
- 2:01Speaker 2: So learn more. Go austin.org slash endcancerbr. That's austin.org slash endcancerbr.
- 2:09Speaker 2: All right. Welcome back in OTB. All right, let's play
- 2:17Speaker 2: a little What's the Ticket. I play it every single week.
- 2:21Speaker 2: I'm going to win. You know what it is.
- 2:23Speaker 3: It's the highest ticket, highest get-in price in the top 25.
- 2:27Speaker 3: It's got to involve at least one top 25 team.
- 2:30Speaker 3: And what's the lowest get-in price? Again, has to involve
- 2:33Speaker 3: at least one top 25 team. Kind of gives you
- 2:37Speaker 3: an idea of the pulse of some of the biggest
- 2:39Speaker 3: games around the country. The slate's not what the slate
- 2:43Speaker 3: was a week ago. Last week's slate was incredible.
- 2:47Speaker 1: It was really, really good. I don't even know.
- 2:49Speaker 3: Moose, do you know where game day's at this week?
- 2:52Speaker 2: Ah, okay. It's at Iowa.
- 2:53Speaker 4: Okay.
- 2:54Speaker 3: Iowa and Ohio State.
- 2:57Speaker 2: That big noon kick's so mad right now. They're punching
- 2:59Speaker 2: the air. So mad at that. All right. Lowest or highest?
- 3:04Speaker 2: We're going to start.
- 3:05Speaker 1: Lowest.
- 3:06Speaker 2: We start with the lowest every week. Okay. Come on, bro.
- 3:09Speaker 2: All right.
- 3:10Speaker 1: Alondra, Tay-Tay, get your pens ready.
- 3:13Speaker 3: Is the lowest ticket, lowest get-in price involving one top
- 3:17Speaker 3: 25 team this week, is it Kentucky at South Carolina?
- 3:22Speaker 3: Miami at Clemson. Washington at USC. McNeese at LSU. Boston
- 3:36Speaker 3: College at SMU. Or Indiana at Rutgers. All right, so
- 3:42Speaker 3: real quick. Kentucky at South Carolina, Miami at Clemson, Washington
- 3:47Speaker 3: at USC, McNeese at LSU, Boston College at SMU, Indiana
- 3:53Speaker 3: at Rutgers. And we'll throw it back to downtown Baton
- 3:57Speaker 3: Rouge in studio, the Raising Gains studio, Alondra Tete.
- 4:01Speaker 4: Yeah, this is a tough one, but I think I'm
- 4:05Speaker 4: going to go USC, Washington at USC.
- 4:11Speaker 2: Love that.
- 4:12Speaker 5: USC fans suck. They don't show up to games.
- 4:14Speaker 4: And is Washington, what are they doing this year?
- 4:16Speaker 5: I mean, they're, you know, below average.
- 4:20Speaker 6: I'm going to say that the hostile ruckus and rowdy
- 4:25Speaker 6: fans that are the Rutgers fans aren't going to quite
- 4:28Speaker 6: show up this week.
- 4:29Speaker 5: I don't really care that Indiana's coming to town. I'll
- 4:31Speaker 5: take Rutgers, Indiana.
- 4:33Speaker 1: All right.
- 4:34Speaker 2: Okay, so this might be the toughest one we've had. Yeah,
- 4:37Speaker 2: this is a tough one. Because we got a good
- 4:39Speaker 2: feel for USC fans. We kind of got a good
- 4:43Speaker 2: feel for this Clemson situation. We know South Carolina trash.
- 4:49Speaker 2: BC probably not traveling. I'm going to scratch that. You
- 4:52Speaker 2: know what? I'm going to take a flyer here a
- 4:54Speaker 2: little bit and go stadium size and go McNeese LSU.
- 5:01Speaker 2: It's a flyer. Final answer? I guess so. All right.
- 5:08Speaker 2: I like that look. All right.
- 5:10Speaker 3: So we'll start with the most expensive ticket here in
- 5:13Speaker 3: this category. We'll work our way to the lowest ticket.
- 5:16Speaker 3: Coming at the most expensive, again, here in this category,
- 5:19Speaker 3: at $ 48.
- 5:19Speaker 2: Wow. $ 48 for one of these? Indiana at Rutgers.
- 5:22Speaker 4: Wow.
- 5:22Speaker 2: For $ 48. At $ 45, Miami at Clemson for $ 45. Wow.
- 5:35Speaker 3: At $ 29, Washington at USC. At $ 26, it is Kentucky
- 5:46Speaker 3: at South Carolina.
- 5:48Speaker 2: Come on, baby. Big money, big money.
- 5:49Speaker 5: For $ 15.
- 5:51Speaker 2: McNeese at LSU. Oh, no.
- 5:58Speaker 3: And the winner for the lowest ticket, lowest get-in price
- 6:00Speaker 3: in the top 25 this week, $ 12.
- 6:04Speaker 1: Gets you into Boston College at SMU.
- 6:08Speaker 2: That's so surprising to me. I would assume that's the
- 6:10Speaker 2: smallest thing, Rutgers.
- 6:13Speaker 1: Gerald J.
- 6:13Speaker 2: Ford Stadium? Yeah. I don't know. Probably so. Maybe.
- 6:17Speaker 1: It's 11 a.m. kick on CW.
- 6:20Speaker 2: Oh, boy. It's before Gilmore Girls. And after. Okay.
- 6:29Speaker 1: Don't let the One Tree Hill, you know, marathon go
- 6:33Speaker 1: on there after that game.
- 6:35Speaker 2: Look, I was impressed. I was impressed. I could have
- 6:38Speaker 2: seen my pick going the $ 48 one.
- 6:41Speaker 3: I thought that LSU McNeese, when I was writing them down,
- 6:46Speaker 3: when it was $ 15, I was like, that's going to.
- 6:47Speaker 2: Be the winner. Yeah. $ 12, Boston College and SMU. Okay.
- 6:52Speaker 2: Nothing that will ever beat the $ 6 Miami games last year. Yeah. $ 6.
- 6:57Speaker 1: The team that played for the Natty. $ 6 to get
- 7:01Speaker 1: into their stadium. It's not very big.
- 7:03Speaker 2: They won probably five times last year in the What's
- 7:08Speaker 2: the Ticket? Yeah. Most of their home games they won.
- 7:11Speaker 2: They did. Of course, they were like Windsor Thursday.
- 7:13Speaker 3: They're included in almost every low end of What's the
- 7:15Speaker 3: Ticket still.
- 7:16Speaker 2: All right, let's go to the highest. I didn't think
- 7:18Speaker 2: about the team that was in the national championship. The
- 7:20Speaker 2: lowest ticket price.
- 7:21Speaker 3: Let's go to the highest ticket, the highest get-in price
- 7:24Speaker 3: in the top 25.
- 7:26Speaker 1: I think this actually might be more difficult than we think.
- 7:29Speaker 2: Maybe. Actually, maybe. Not for us. All right.
- 7:34Speaker 3: Is it Notre Dame at UNC? Alabama at Mississippi State?
- 7:42Speaker 3: Ohio State at Iowa? Florida at Missouri? Utah State at
- 7:50Speaker 3: Boise State?
- 7:53Speaker 1: Auburn at Tennessee?
- 7:54Speaker 2: Tennessee.
- 7:54Speaker 1: All right.
- 7:55Speaker 3: Notre Dame at UNC, Alabama at Mississippi State, Ohio State
- 8:00Speaker 3: at Iowa, Florida at Mizzou, Utah State at Boise State,
- 8:03Speaker 3: Auburn at Tennessee. Let's go to downtown Ben Rouge.
- 8:09Speaker 4: I'm going to go with Ohio State at Iowa. Top
- 8:13Speaker 4: 25 matchup, Ohio State, college game day. So I'm going
- 8:18Speaker 4: to go with that one.
- 8:20Speaker 6: I think the folks in Starkville are really excited about
- 8:22Speaker 6: Kamario Taylor.
- 8:23Speaker 5: Big games like this don't happen very often. I'll go
- 8:26Speaker 5: Alabama versus Mississippi State.
- 8:29Speaker 2: All right. Hmm. So I believe it's one of those two.
- 8:36Speaker 2: I believe that we will win. I believe that we
- 8:39Speaker 2: will win. The fact that Boise State's thrown into this
- 8:43Speaker 2: makes me think that something fishy is happening over there. Maybe. Maybe.
- 8:51Speaker 2: I'll go Bama, Mississippi State.
- 8:55Speaker 1: All right, we'll start with the cheapest ticket and work
- 8:59Speaker 1: our way to the most expensive ticket.
- 9:04Speaker 2: At $ 73, Auburn at Tennessee.
- 9:05Speaker 3: At $ 98, Florida at Mizzou.
- 9:16Speaker 1: At $ 132, Notre Dame at UNC.
- 9:17Speaker 2: At $ 135, Alabama at Mississippi State. Leaves two games. That
- 9:19Speaker 2: should have gone in my gut. Dead gum it.
- 9:21Speaker 1: At $ 140, Utah State at Boise State.
- 9:24Speaker 2: $ 140.
- 9:26Speaker 3: $ 140. $ 140. And the winner, Alondra, the only one to
- 9:47Speaker 3: get one right this week, at $ 224, Ohio State at Iowa,
- 9:54Speaker 3: the most expensive ticket. So the most expensive ticket, get-in
- 9:58Speaker 3: price is going to.
- 9:59Speaker 2: Be, $ 224.
- 10:01Speaker 1: Ohio State at Iowa.
- 10:03Speaker 3: The lowest ticket price, $ 12, Boston College at SMU.
- 10:09Speaker 2: Where were we last week? That was $ 400 and some
- 10:11Speaker 2: dollars for $ 100, 000. Was it Texas? Tennessee. Tennessee tag. That
- 10:16Speaker 2: was $ 440- something.
- 10:16Speaker 1: For 105,000 people, however many they have.
- 10:20Speaker 2: Two. Yes. For half price, you can get in the
- 10:24Speaker 2: Ohio State-Iowa game. There you go.
- 10:26Speaker 3: Look, and if you're in Dallas, Texas, and you want
- 10:28Speaker 3: to see mediocre football, $ 12, boom.
- 10:30Speaker 2: SMU-Boston College, you are in. Actually, it might not be
- 10:34Speaker 2: that bad of a game. Boston College is getting 21.5,
- 10:37Speaker 2: by the way. All right, that is going to be
- 10:40Speaker 2: What's the Ticket?
- 10:41Speaker 1: And when we come back, we're going to give you
- 10:43Speaker 1: the old pontoon parlay. And we're even going to let
- 10:47Speaker 1: Matt pick. And we'll do it right here on OTB.
- 10:50Speaker 2: Off the bench.
- 10:51Speaker 3: All right, go to FABT.com. FABT.com, First American Bank and Trust.
- 10:59Speaker 3: Been in the game for over a century, since 1910.
- 11:03Speaker 3: They've been here in the area, multiple locations across south Louisiana.
- 11:07Speaker 3: So go walk into a branch today. Sign up for
- 11:09Speaker 3: your account. You can do it online at FABT.com. They
- 11:13Speaker 3: got all the bells, all the whistles. But the thing
- 11:15Speaker 3: that sets them apart, you are a relationship.
- 11:17Speaker 1: You are a name. You are a face. You're not
- 11:19Speaker 1: just another account number.
- 11:21Speaker 3: So go to the website. It's First American Bank and
- 11:23Speaker 3: Trust at FABT.com.
- 11:25Speaker 2: That's right. All the bells and whistles. What does that mean? Well,
- 11:27Speaker 2: it means their online banking is awesome. You can do
- 11:29Speaker 2: everything that the big banks can do right there on
- 11:32Speaker 2: that online portal. And they got all the loans. They
- 11:34Speaker 2: have all the options. But they're doing it with local
- 11:36Speaker 2: decision makers, local bankers, local people helping the local families
- 11:41Speaker 2: and businesses so go check them out the best around
- 11:44Speaker 2: since 1910 first american bank and trust fabt.com tigers turn talkers.
- 11:48Speaker 1: This is off the.
- 11:51Speaker 2: Bench Welcome back here. Off the bench live from Rouse's
- 12:15Speaker 2: here on this football Friday, Friday, Friday. Hey, we are
- 12:19Speaker 2: crushing it over here today at Rouse's. Rouse's is killing it.
- 12:23Speaker 2: I want to give a shout out, big time shout out.
- 12:25Speaker 2: It's our dudes, Brody, Samantha over here. Drove in from Lafayette.
- 12:31Speaker 2: Guess what they're eating right now? Our favorites, breakfast bar. Sushi.
- 12:38Speaker 2: Crushing it.
- 12:38Speaker 1: Not going to lie. The breakfast part looked good when
- 12:40Speaker 1: you had it, but the sushi right now.
- 12:41Speaker 2: It looks like it's popping.
- 12:42Speaker 1: Taking everything I got not to go do.
- 12:44Speaker 2: It right now. I was talking to her at break,
- 12:45Speaker 2: and she said, I love the sushi. It's so fresh.
- 12:47Speaker 2: It's not a big deal. I don't know when, like,
- 12:50Speaker 2: when Rouse has signed on for us to come here,
- 12:53Speaker 2: if they knew we were going to be talking about
- 12:54Speaker 2: the sushi so much. But, hey, we're here. We're here now,
- 12:57Speaker 2: so shout out. Brody and Samantha. Hey, guys, just gave
- 13:02Speaker 2: you all a shout out right here. We did. He did.
- 13:06Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 13:07Speaker 1: He said he was a Turlings grad. I don't know
- 13:09Speaker 1: if you know this. You know who the U-High Cubs
- 13:11Speaker 1: got tonight?
- 13:13Speaker 2: Turlins. They do. But you got to say, like, when
- 13:17Speaker 2: you say Turlins, you got to say it with a
- 13:18Speaker 2: country accent. Turlins. Makes everybody country. Is that a Turlings? Turlins. Turlins.
- 13:23Speaker 2: All right. Well, let's see who the U-High Cubs got tonight.
- 13:25Speaker 2: Is that what they do? Yeah. That's the Miami thing.
- 13:32Speaker 2: Go Canes? No, go Cubs. Okay. We got more fans
- 13:36Speaker 2: than they do. All right. You ready? For what exactly?
- 13:41Speaker 1: The pontoon parlay. But are you really ready?
- 13:45Speaker 2: I mean, I was born ready for this. This is
- 13:47Speaker 2: what I was born to do right here. What? I
- 13:53Speaker 2: barely missed last week. Should have hit.
- 13:57Speaker 1: Didn't.
- 13:57Speaker 2: I totally redeemed myself this week right here.
- 14:06Speaker 3: All right, on that note, I'll throw it back to
- 14:08Speaker 3: downtown Baton Rouge, and we'll get some winners before we
- 14:10Speaker 3: get Matt's loser.
- 14:11Speaker 1: Alondra, Tay-Tay, the pontoon parlay.
- 14:14Speaker 2: What you got?
- 14:15Speaker 4: Okay, so I'm between two that I like both of them,
- 14:19Speaker 4: but I think I'm going to go with the one
- 14:21Speaker 4: that gives you a little more cushion. We're going to
- 14:24Speaker 4: go to Iowa City, Iowa, and they are... Ohio State
- 14:30Speaker 4: is the 14 and a half favorite. Well, actually, it's
- 14:32Speaker 4: 14 now, but.
- 14:36Speaker 4: Ohio State has had pretty much an easy schedule. Went
- 14:39Speaker 4: on the road and dropped a game to Texas. Iowa's
- 14:44Speaker 4: looked pretty good. I like their defense. It looks great.
- 14:47Speaker 4: So I'm going to go with Iowa plus 14. And
- 14:51Speaker 4: the other one, if you just want to know, I
- 14:54Speaker 4: was really eyeing Auburn plus 7 too. Tennessee looks awful.
- 14:59Speaker 4: So I kind of like that too. But I'm going
- 15:01Speaker 4: to go Iowa plus 14.
- 15:04Speaker 2: All right, y'all.
- 15:04Speaker 6: We're either going to be in a good mood Saturday
- 15:07Speaker 6: or this thing's going to blow up quick. We're doing
- 15:09Speaker 6: a Friday night game in Blacksburg tonight. Battle of 4-0,
- 15:14Speaker 6: Virginia Tech versus Pitt. Again, inside lane stadium. Both teams
- 15:19Speaker 6: really good defenses. I think this is going to be
- 15:20Speaker 6: a close one. Here's the issue that I have with Pitt, though.
- 15:23Speaker 6: They have not played a road game yet this year.
- 15:26Speaker 6: And Mason Heintzel looks good at quarterback but has not
- 15:29Speaker 6: thrown a touchdown pass yet. In either of the two
- 15:31Speaker 6: games he's played against power four opponents, I think Lane
- 15:35Speaker 6: Stadium is going to be rocking tonight. Also, James Franklin,
- 15:38Speaker 6: three and one head up against Pat Narduzzi. Give me
- 15:41Speaker 6: the Virginia Tech Hokies minus two and a half at
- 15:44Speaker 6: home against Pitt.
- 15:49Speaker 2: He didn't like it, did he? Are you going to
- 15:51Speaker 2: go the other way? No, I'm going to test that game.
- 15:53Speaker 2: You kind of grunted at it. Real judgy. Real judgy.
- 15:57Speaker 2: Give one of those. All right. You ready for this?
- 16:00Speaker 2: Or are you going to say the best for last
- 16:01Speaker 2: right here?
- 16:01Speaker 1: No, we don't do that. We have an order.
- 16:03Speaker 2: We got an order that we go. All right. Time
- 16:06Speaker 2: to totally redeem myself. I actually was going at Alondra.
- 16:11Speaker 2: I still have it on. I saw it on DraftKings.
- 16:13Speaker 2: It was at 14 and a half still. That's where
- 16:16Speaker 2: I saw it.
- 16:16Speaker 4: Yeah, that's where I saw it.
- 16:18Speaker 2: Yeah. So I think you're still allowed to take that hook.
- 16:22Speaker 2: That's where I was going to go with my pick,
- 16:24Speaker 2: but I'll go with the backup pick that I actually
- 16:26Speaker 2: really like. I didn't want to be too predictable, but
- 16:29Speaker 2: you know what? When you are on a redemption tour
- 16:33Speaker 2: like I am this week, I'm going to take it.
- 16:36Speaker 2: Florida traveling up to play Missouri on the road. Five
- 16:40Speaker 2: and a half point favorite. I'm going to lay these points.
- 16:43Speaker 2: I'm going to take Florida. minus five and a half. Why,
- 16:47Speaker 2: you ask? Because of kind of what we laid out
- 16:49Speaker 2: a little bit earlier. You go on the road, you're playing,
- 16:53Speaker 2: run game travels. And my God, does Florida have a
- 16:56Speaker 2: good running game? The best in the country. They are
- 16:59Speaker 2: going to be ready.
- 17:00Speaker 4: Why?
- 17:00Speaker 2: Because their head coach is going to ensure that they
- 17:03Speaker 2: are ready to play that game. Missouri, you just lost
- 17:06Speaker 2: to Mississippi State. I get it. Mississippi State is way better.
- 17:09Speaker 2: You lost to a really good quarterback, a well-coached team.
- 17:13Speaker 2: But the week before that, You didn't necessarily blow out
- 17:17Speaker 2: a Troy team that's not very good. Your rival is
- 17:21Speaker 2: the Kansas Jayhawks. You've already played that game. You barely
- 17:24Speaker 2: won that by three points. Five and a half points
- 17:28Speaker 2: seems like light work for this Florida Gator team. You know,
- 17:33Speaker 2: I may be a little bit worried about a backdoor
- 17:35Speaker 2: cover on Missouri's side. But, look, I'm going to take
- 17:38Speaker 2: these points. I think this is the bet of the weekend.
- 17:41Speaker 2: And we've kind of talked about it. And for all
- 17:43Speaker 2: those reasons, they're just laid out. Running game travels. And
- 17:46Speaker 2: they got it. They got the best in the country. So, Florida,
- 17:48Speaker 2: minus five and a half.
- 17:53Speaker 3: I don't think I've ever heard you pick Florida, talk
- 17:56Speaker 3: good about Florida.
- 17:56Speaker 2: I think you're on a real redemption tour this week.
- 18:02Speaker 1: You know, not all change is bad.
- 18:05Speaker 2: I actually will still cheer for them to lose. Yeah, okay.
- 18:08Speaker 2: I hope they lose.
- 18:09Speaker 1: Emotional hedge.
- 18:10Speaker 2: It's an emotional hedge. All right.
- 18:15Speaker 1: I'm going to go a little bit outside of the
- 18:17Speaker 1: norm here.
- 18:17Speaker 2: North Carolina. Come on, North Carolina. No.
- 18:20Speaker 1: I actually did think about taking that over, though, in
- 18:23Speaker 1: that game.
- 18:26Speaker 2: I'm going to go to the Pac-12. Yep. Gross.
- 18:35Speaker 1: Give me the Boise State Broncos.
- 18:37Speaker 2: Okay.
- 18:37Speaker 1: Minus 18 and a half.
- 18:40Speaker 3: Against utah state the aggies i think boise state's really
- 18:45Speaker 3: good and the utah state's really bad utah state lost
- 18:48Speaker 3: to idaho state by 12 now they only lost to
- 18:52Speaker 3: utah by two but i don't think or sorry washington
- 18:55Speaker 3: but i don't think washington's any good they lost to
- 18:57Speaker 3: utah 33 to nada they did beat troy last week
- 19:02Speaker 3: but i think boise state's a really good team it's
- 19:04Speaker 3: on the smurf turf 18 and a half is a
- 19:07Speaker 3: lot of points.
- 19:08Speaker 2: I know that. I realize that. I think they win
- 19:10Speaker 2: by 24. Okay.
- 19:11Speaker 1: That's how confident I feel about Boise State on that
- 19:14Speaker 1: blue Smurf turf. So give me Boise State minus 18
- 19:18Speaker 1: and a half against Utah State.
- 19:20Speaker 2: Interesting. Okay.
- 19:22Speaker 1: It's a big ticket. I mean, $ 140, the crowd's going
- 19:24Speaker 1: to be there.
- 19:25Speaker 2: I can't say that I like the pick because I
- 19:27Speaker 2: don't know anything about this pick. So I hope it hits.
- 19:29Speaker 2: So kind of like yours last week. Alondra tried to
- 19:31Speaker 2: feed you a pick. She tried to feed you, Auburn.
- 19:34Speaker 2: You didn't take it. You didn't either. Well, I had
- 19:36Speaker 2: another guarantee. So did I. Boise State. Okay. About 24?
- 19:42Speaker 2: Alternate line? I mean, I think it's going to be
- 19:44Speaker 2: about 24, but just stick with 18 and a half.
- 19:46Speaker 2: So if I take a 23 and a half point
- 19:49Speaker 2: alt line. Yeah. That's good? Is it clean? Yeah, guaranteed money. Guaranteed.
- 19:53Speaker 2: All right.
- 19:54Speaker 1: So, Matt, give us the pontoon parlay.
- 19:56Speaker 2: Oh, boy. I didn't write them down. But you picked
- 20:00Speaker 2: Boise State.
- 20:02Speaker 3: Boise State minus 18 and a half against Utah State.
- 20:06Speaker 3: It's the Florida Gators on the road minus five and
- 20:10Speaker 3: a half against Missouri. Tay-Tay went with Virginia Tech minus.
- 20:18Speaker 2: Two and a half against Pitt.
- 20:21Speaker 1: Yep.
- 20:21Speaker 2: And then Alondra went. We gave the 14 and a half.
- 20:24Speaker 2: Get that hook. Yeah, 14 plus 14 and a half.
- 20:29Speaker 3: For the Iowa Hawkeyes hosting the Ohio State Buckeyes.
- 20:33Speaker 2: There you go. Look at that memory. It's like a
- 20:34Speaker 2: steel trap. It is. You nailed that. Boise State, what
- 20:37Speaker 2: are they? They're 17 and a half? 18 and a half.
- 20:42Speaker 1: That is the pontoon parlay this week.
- 20:44Speaker 2: 18 and a half is a lot of points to
- 20:47Speaker 2: give up, but I like it. I think this one's
- 20:50Speaker 2: going to hit. I don't know anything about the Virginia
- 20:52Speaker 2: Tech pick. I can't lie about that.
- 20:55Speaker 1: That one... You know, Tay-Tay's been really good this year,
- 20:58Speaker 1: so I'm not going to question it. I don't know
- 21:00Speaker 1: a whole lot about that one. I'm going to be
- 21:01Speaker 1: honest with you.
- 21:04Speaker 3: I know both teams are undefeated. I know both teams
- 21:07Speaker 3: are 4-0. I know that we're going to know the
- 21:10Speaker 3: fate of the pontoon parlay tonight.
- 21:13Speaker 6: I just look at it like this, guys. They've only
- 21:16Speaker 6: played home games so far. Pitt, they've been penalized 37
- 21:20Speaker 6: times in four games.
- 21:21Speaker 5: I think Lane Stadium's going to be rocking.
- 21:23Speaker 6: I think that comes down to who makes the least
- 21:25Speaker 6: amount of mistakes, and James Franklin's squad's playing good.
- 21:32Speaker 2: I think the pick's based on he thinks Virginia Tech
- 21:34Speaker 2: at home is going to win, and he's just banking
- 21:36Speaker 2: on it's not going to be a missed extra point
- 21:39Speaker 2: type of win. It's just going to be a win,
- 21:41Speaker 2: field goal win at least. I like the pick. I
- 21:44Speaker 2: love it. Although, I believe Pitt is hydrated. I know
- 21:50Speaker 2: you probably didn't factor that in, did you, too? We'll
- 21:54Speaker 2: find out.
- 21:55Speaker 1: All right. That is the pontoon parlay. We will take
- 21:58Speaker 1: a break. We've got more OTB coming your way when
- 22:01Speaker 1: we jump back here live from Rouse's on Burbank and Lee.

- 23:08Speaker 1: You're listening to Off the Bench.
- 23:29Speaker 2: All-time window down song? It's up there. It's up there.
- 23:37Speaker 1: Country Grammar's up there, too, if we're speaking, you know,
- 23:39Speaker 1: if we're talking about Nelly.
- 23:41Speaker 2: Street Sweeper Baby, you know. I think that one's better, though.
- 23:46Speaker 1: It's the first time I ever heard the words Range
- 23:48Speaker 1: Rover in that song.
- 23:50Speaker 2: Together at the.
- 23:51Speaker 1: You know what Range Rover was?
- 23:53Speaker 2: Sure.
- 23:54Speaker 1: We grew up with a Cutlass.
- 23:56Speaker 2: Yeah. And an Isuzu Rodeo. That's what my parents had.
- 23:59Speaker 2: It must be Burt Reynolds or something.
- 24:01Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 24:01Speaker 3: I don't know what the hell a Range Rover was.
- 24:03Speaker 3: It was a vehicle that we couldn't afford.
- 24:07Speaker 2: Oh, no. Nellie could, though.
- 24:10Speaker 1: But only one Band-Aid. Couldn't afford two.
- 24:14Speaker 2: Well, he didn't need two. He just needed one. It
- 24:18Speaker 2: only got cut once.
- 24:19Speaker 1: So I asked your best friend. I was like, all right. George.
- 24:23Speaker 1: Here's our picks. Like, what do you think?
- 24:25Speaker 2: And they said, well. Here's what I would have done. Well,
- 24:28Speaker 2: I see you.
- 24:29Speaker 3: It said it would have gone Mississippi State plus six.
- 24:33Speaker 3: Iowa plus 14 and a half. So Alondra, you and
- 24:36Speaker 3: your boy lockstep. It is Clemson plus 16 and a half.
- 24:44Speaker 3: Texas Tech minus 12 and a half. Washington plus nine
- 24:49Speaker 3: and a half. And TCU plus six and a half
- 24:53Speaker 3: against BYU.
- 24:53Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 24:55Speaker 3: And it said, if I had to rank my confidence level,
- 24:59Speaker 3: I'd personally be most interested in Iowa plus 14.5, Texas
- 25:04Speaker 3: Tech minus 12.5, and Clemson plus 16.5.
- 25:07Speaker 2: Interesting.
- 25:08Speaker 1: So, Alondra, you and George Fall, right there on the
- 25:13Speaker 1: same wavelength.
- 25:14Speaker 4: I don't know if that makes me feel good about
- 25:16Speaker 4: it because I don't trust George's ball knowledge.
- 25:22Speaker 2: He gets a lot of things wrong. He really does.
- 25:25Speaker 1: He does get a lot of stats wrong.
- 25:26Speaker 2: He gets stats wrong. Teams as well.
- 25:31Speaker 1: A lot of pictures. Profile pics. Yeah.
- 25:37Speaker 2: I wonder, is the Florida line stinky? A bit. Yeah?
- 25:42Speaker 2: A bit.
- 25:44Speaker 1: I think the Alabama one is. I think the Florida is.
- 25:49Speaker 1: And I think the South Carolina Kentucky is.
- 25:52Speaker 2: Yeah. Would seven make it not stinky? Probably. Yeah. I
- 25:59Speaker 2: guess so. Yeah. The five and a half is stinky.
- 26:04Speaker 2: Missouri's got a good offense. They've got a good quarterback.
- 26:08Speaker 2: It's at home. Sometimes stinky cheese is the most valuable,
- 26:12Speaker 2: you know what I mean?
- 26:13Speaker 3: That's what they say. That's why you just go to
- 26:16Speaker 3: the Pac-12 and you go Boise State.
- 26:17Speaker 2: Yeah, just give them a ton of points. 18 and
- 26:20Speaker 2: a half. Me and George Paul Thomas, we're usually the
- 26:24Speaker 2: same person. So I'm surprised he's not on that Florida line.
- 26:29Speaker 2: I like it, though. I'm going to be hammering it.
- 26:31Speaker 1: He didn't pick Virginia Tech and Pitt or Boise State
- 26:33Speaker 1: and Utah State.
- 26:34Speaker 2: I'm going to take at least 10 on it.
- 26:36Speaker 1: LSU's line is 52 and a half.
- 26:39Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a lot of points.
- 26:40Speaker 1: I almost went the under in LSU. 61 and a half.
- 26:47Speaker 1: McNeese isn't going.
- 26:48Speaker 2: To score a lot.
- 26:50Speaker 1: Yeah. What's up, Trey? How we doing, brother? Trey's got
- 26:53Speaker 1: the pink on today.
- 26:54Speaker 2: They like the pants. Oh, yeah. Oh, they're sweet. Pinstripes.
- 26:57Speaker 1: See, Trey? They saw you do that little dance, Trey.
- 26:59Speaker 2: That's going to be on the internet, bud. That's there forever.
- 27:02Speaker 2: Whatever you put on the internet, it's there forever. It
- 27:03Speaker 2: is forever. Isn't that a little shimmy? Forever. Forever.
- 27:06Speaker 1: He is all about October breast cancer wearing a shirt
- 27:09Speaker 1: out to Trey.
- 27:10Speaker 2: Absolutely.
- 27:11Speaker 1: Got his pink on today, bud. Yeah, I probably should
- 27:15Speaker 1: have gone the under in LSU McNeese.
- 27:18Speaker 2: I don't know, man. I don't want to say it.
- 27:24Speaker 2: I don't know. I don't want to be this. Like,
- 27:27Speaker 2: I don't want to. It could. But LSU could hit
- 27:29Speaker 2: that number, too. I don't want to be like this.
- 27:33Speaker 2: I can't wait. I hope everybody has a great time.
- 27:35Speaker 2: I hope everybody plays.
- 27:36Speaker 1: You're being super weird about that. God, how have we
- 27:43Speaker 1: not played that today?
- 27:46Speaker 2: Sorry. Am I being weird about it?
- 27:48Speaker 1: You are. You're being real weird. You can, like, look,
- 27:50Speaker 1: it's down the road.
- 27:51Speaker 2: It's McNeese.
- 27:51Speaker 3: We got people that we love that are there. We
- 27:53Speaker 3: got people that we've known for a long time that
- 27:55Speaker 3: are there.
- 27:55Speaker 2: It's fine. So I don't want to be like, well,
- 27:57Speaker 2: she's going to score 80 on this.
- 27:59Speaker 1: They might.
- 27:59Speaker 2: They might. They could.
- 28:00Speaker 1: Don't be weird about it.
- 28:03Speaker 2: Sorry. I'm weird, I guess. I don't know.
- 28:05Speaker 1: Man.
- 28:06Speaker 2: I just don't want to come off as disrespectful.
- 28:08Speaker 1: I got nothing but love for the Lotteg Bulldogs.
- 28:11Speaker 2: Okay.
- 28:12Speaker 1: Runs deep in the family.
- 28:13Speaker 2: But.
- 28:14Speaker 1: When LSU plays them, I hope they score seven.
- 28:16Speaker 2: Yeah. It's okay. I hope Trevor Heyman gets in the
- 28:19Speaker 2: game and scores a touchdown tomorrow in Tiger Stadium. I
- 28:21Speaker 2: think that would be awesome. There you go.
- 28:22Speaker 1: I hope he, you know, I don't really want anybody
- 28:26Speaker 1: to score a touchdown against LSU.
- 28:28Speaker 2: But that's okay. It's 80-7.
- 28:30Speaker 3: Can he just have a big gainer, get down to
- 28:33Speaker 3: the goal line?
- 28:34Speaker 2: No, I'd like for him to score. Okay. That would
- 28:39Speaker 2: be fun. That would be fun.
- 28:41Speaker 1: You know there is a game.
- 28:45Speaker 3: That should be tabbed, Misery Loves Company in the SEC
- 28:49Speaker 3: this week.
- 28:49Speaker 2: Oh, boy.
- 28:50Speaker 1: Arkansas and Texas A & M.
- 28:52Speaker 2: $ 44.
- 28:56Speaker 1: Ticket.
- 28:57Speaker 2: Is it in College Station? What? Yeah. $ 44? For real?
- 29:01Speaker 2: $ 44 hairs. That's a lot of people in that stadium, too.
- 29:04Speaker 5: I know.
- 29:05Speaker 2: Arkansas travels.
- 29:06Speaker 1: Spreads 14.
- 29:08Speaker 2: Spreads 14. Hoo! Doing that tomorrow. It's a big redemption
- 29:12Speaker 2: game for... Who? The Yale leaders. Big redemption game.
- 29:16Speaker 4: Oh, yeah.
- 29:16Speaker 2: It's a get-right game. Yeah, they got got last week.
- 29:18Speaker 2: It's a get-right game for the Yale leaders.
- 29:20Speaker 1: They got got last week. LSU's secondary and linebackers, they
- 29:25Speaker 1: got them.
- 29:25Speaker 2: They got them. They got them good. They got them good. Respect. Yeah, respect.
- 29:28Speaker 1: You got to tip your cap to that one. Well,
- 29:29Speaker 1: they don't wear hats. They all look like Tay-Tay, but.
- 29:33Speaker 2: Yeah, you got to... With respect, Tay-Tay. Yeah, I don't know.
- 29:37Speaker 2: I don't know. You got to tip your rolled-up sleeves.
- 29:39Speaker 2: to them. Good for them. Trey got a shopping cart.
- 29:43Speaker 2: He did get a shopping cart. Work smarter, not harder. Yeah,
- 29:46Speaker 2: it wasn't as loud as the forklift earlier. My guy,
- 29:49Speaker 2: my guy, the second guy came back, he was walking
- 29:51Speaker 2: around eyeballing these tables. He was eyeballing them. Oh. So
- 29:59Speaker 2: y'all got the whole family going out tomorrow. We do.
- 30:03Speaker 2: Walking the grounds. When you go, the whole family goes.
- 30:07Speaker 2: What time do y'all usually? How much before? What time's
- 30:10Speaker 2: the game? 630?
- 30:11Speaker 1: Let's just say 630. Yeah, 630. We'll get there at 3.
- 30:15Speaker 1: Get there at 3.
- 30:15Speaker 2: Okay. See the walk and band and all that stuff.
- 30:19Speaker 2: Do y'all enjoy that?
- 30:20Speaker 1: Sports Properties has the white tent. On the PMAC.
- 30:24Speaker 2: Ah, yes. Right?
- 30:25Speaker 3: And so since, you know, I work for Sports Properties,
- 30:27Speaker 3: calling the games, I get a chance to, you know,
- 30:30Speaker 3: bring the family in there and shade it.
- 30:33Speaker 1: They've got football on. They've got food. They've got drinks. And,
- 30:36Speaker 1: you know, that's our version of tailgating. You know, because
- 30:38Speaker 1: I've never tailgated before in my life.
- 30:41Speaker 2: Yeah, you have. Not. When we've done, like, those seven reunions.
- 30:44Speaker 2: But I've been working.
- 30:45Speaker 3: So I just come and, like, dap y'all up and, like,
- 30:48Speaker 3: eat some food real quick.
- 30:49Speaker 1: I've never, like.
- 30:50Speaker 2: You don't do the keg stand. Exactly.
- 30:52Speaker 4: Okay.
- 30:52Speaker 1: Because I've either been playing or covering LSU football.
- 30:56Speaker 2: Well, we still like to do keg stand push-ups. Right.
- 30:59Speaker 1: See, but I work the games, and I don't know
- 31:02Speaker 1: that me doing that out in public and if there's
- 31:05Speaker 1: pictures of that, and then if I have a bad call,
- 31:06Speaker 1: I'd be like, well, I know why you had a
- 31:08Speaker 1: bad call. The idiot was doing a keg stand.
- 31:10Speaker 2: Couldn't even pronounce this guy's name. Idiot. No.
- 31:13Speaker 1: If they only knew, I just can't talk sometimes.
- 31:15Speaker 2: I feel like it would endear you to the people.
- 31:17Speaker 1: Well, our people, but not maybe other people. Well, who
- 31:22Speaker 1: cares what other people think? Live your life confidently, bud.
- 31:25Speaker 1: It's kind of a nice job. It's not a nice gig.
- 31:27Speaker 1: It's like a dream job of mine to be on
- 31:29Speaker 1: the call for LSU football.
- 31:30Speaker 2: That's true. Didn't work for that for a long time.
- 31:32Speaker 2: That's true. Yeah. Do y'all think, how would you feel about, like,
- 31:37Speaker 2: on the call, what if they put me, like, in
- 31:40Speaker 2: the boogermobile for LSU games? But for radio. And me
- 31:45Speaker 2: just driving around in a Lyft.
- 31:48Speaker 1: Do you think that that would be a good idea
- 31:50Speaker 1: to give you keys to a vehicle on the sideline
- 31:54Speaker 1: and for us to expect to be able to throw
- 31:55Speaker 1: it down to you and you give us information and
- 31:58Speaker 1: not be worried about something else?
- 32:00Speaker 2: I think you could. I think I'd be good at that.
- 32:03Speaker 2: You could give me like I could be telling you
- 32:05Speaker 2: what the signals are for the other team. I could
- 32:07Speaker 2: be telling you what looks they're in.
- 32:08Speaker 1: I think the best place for you to watch it
- 32:10Speaker 1: would be up in, like, what do they call it,
- 32:12Speaker 1: like the sky view or whatever in the south end zone.
- 32:14Speaker 2: Yeah. You're up there.
- 32:16Speaker 1: You get kind of an all-22 look, and you just
- 32:18Speaker 1: kind of, hey, Matt, what did you see there? And
- 32:21Speaker 1: you relay the coverage and kind of where you should
- 32:23Speaker 1: have gone with the ball, where he actually went with
- 32:25Speaker 1: the football.
- 32:26Speaker 2: Yeah. Like, up there is probably the best for you. Maybe.
- 32:29Speaker 2: I don't know. I was running those chains last week
- 32:32Speaker 2: at the Dunham game.
- 32:33Speaker 1: Yeah, y'all lost a close one. You didn't steal a
- 32:35Speaker 1: yard or two?
- 32:36Speaker 2: I tried, you know, but I was too honest. I
- 32:39Speaker 2: respected the team. They were playing too much. They were
- 32:41Speaker 2: a good team. It was fantastic. They're always good. I
- 32:44Speaker 2: didn't know that Elijah Haven's out. Yeah, yeah, yeah. He's
- 32:46Speaker 2: been out.
- 32:47Speaker 1: Now, Dunham's got six quarterbacks that can spin it.
- 32:51Speaker 3: Like, Varsity, JV, 7th grade, 8th grade. Hell, I'm sure
- 32:55Speaker 3: they got a 5th grade quarterback that can spin it, too.
- 32:58Speaker 3: If there's one thing y'all have, it's quarterbacks.
- 33:01Speaker 2: Absolutely. They run through there. And, yeah, the next man up,
- 33:05Speaker 2: been playing well. And I think it's a sophomore that
- 33:07Speaker 2: got in the game.
- 33:08Speaker 1: Yeah, he played against Knox and JV.
- 33:09Speaker 2: He's a good player. But, yeah, ran the chains. I
- 33:11Speaker 2: was on the sidelines. I was on St. James' sideline.
- 33:13Speaker 2: And was highly impressed with their staff, their players. It
- 33:18Speaker 2: was a lot of fun just trying to, like, mind
- 33:21Speaker 2: my business, like, running through the chains and stuff. Because
- 33:24Speaker 2: they're going fast. Everybody's kind of no huddle anymore. So, like,
- 33:26Speaker 2: you got to kind of move. Yeah. We had a
- 33:29Speaker 2: lot of instruction before, so we just kind of winged it. Yeah.
- 33:31Speaker 2: But we did it. I didn't steal a yard. Those
- 33:33Speaker 2: chains were tight, baby, for both teams. And it was good. St.
- 33:37Speaker 2: James won it on a close one. Hard-fought battle. Was
- 33:39Speaker 2: it low scoring? Yeah, 12-7, I think. 12-7.
- 33:45Speaker 1: So not your favorite kind of game.
- 33:47Speaker 2: No, it actually was because what I really enjoy when
- 33:51Speaker 2: I go watch high school football or any youth football,
- 33:53Speaker 2: I've started really enjoying it with the Dunham fifth and
- 33:56Speaker 2: sixth grade, watching our boys play. It's like. I like
- 34:00Speaker 2: effort and strain and doing hard things. And, man, they did.
- 34:03Speaker 2: They were fighting for every inch, both sides of the ball.
- 34:07Speaker 2: And it was awesome. And I know the type of
- 34:10Speaker 2: program Dunham runs, and I was super impressed with St.
- 34:12Speaker 2: James' program. Yeah, it's very impressive. The coaches were demanding
- 34:15Speaker 2: high respect from their players. It was great, man. It
- 34:19Speaker 2: was highly enjoyable. The crowds were great. Who do we
- 34:23Speaker 2: have tonight for the Dunham Tigers? Let's see here. Park Lane.
- 34:28Speaker 2: Park Lane. Parkland Academy. Who? Collegiate. Now, hold on.
- 34:34Speaker 1: Let me make sure. After your reading skills, let me
- 34:37Speaker 1: make sure this isn't Parkview. Okay, Parkland Academy.
- 34:41Speaker 2: Just want to make sure.
- 34:43Speaker 1: Moose, do we know a Parkland Academy? Where's that at, Bo?
- 34:47Speaker 2: Click on that. All you got to do is click
- 34:50Speaker 2: on the link there, Bo. All right, Bo. Don't want
- 34:51Speaker 2: to overwork this Internet thing. Where's that thing at? Macomb.
- 34:55Speaker 5: Mississippi?
- 34:56Speaker 2: Macomb, Mississippi. All right.
- 34:57Speaker 1: That's why we never heard of it, Bo.
- 34:59Speaker 2: What's this mascot? All right. It's like Davy Crockett.
- 35:03Speaker 3: So, real quick, before we get to Ask the Bench,
- 35:06Speaker 3: I get done today at 5, right at 5 o'clock.
- 35:10Speaker 2: Uh-huh.
- 35:10Speaker 3: We got to go on the basin to Turlings and
- 35:13Speaker 3: get there for a 7 o'clock kick.
- 35:15Speaker 2: Uh-huh.
- 35:16Speaker 1: How are we feeling about it? Am I going to
- 35:17Speaker 1: make it?
- 35:18Speaker 2: That's going to be a challenge. It's going to be
- 35:20Speaker 2: a challenge. Yeah. You can't do the show.
- 35:23Speaker 1: Our friends that came in and sat with us today.
- 35:26Speaker 2: Uh-huh.
- 35:27Speaker 1: He said he was a Turlings grad.
- 35:29Speaker 2: Okay.
- 35:29Speaker 1: He said he heard a rumor that Lane Kiffin was
- 35:32Speaker 1: going to take a helicopter.
- 35:33Speaker 2: Okay.
- 35:35Speaker 1: And land on the baseball field at Turlings. You going
- 35:37Speaker 1: to get that? Lane, you got room for six.
- 35:41Speaker 2: I got to be honest with you. I'm staying my
- 35:43Speaker 2: ass off a helicopter. For five, actually. I am not
- 35:45Speaker 2: getting on a helicopter either. Nope. Not doing it.
- 35:47Speaker 1: I'm not getting on a plane that doesn't have ten seats.
- 35:50Speaker 2: Okay. I've done that.
- 35:52Speaker 1: I have. Oh, I've done it.
- 35:53Speaker 2: Don't love it. No, it's not great. Not a great feeling.
- 35:55Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 35:56Speaker 2: Pilots are always super confident, too.
- 35:57Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm going to need 10 seats on that bad boy.
- 35:59Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 36:00Speaker 1: Because I don't want it to be a paper airplane situation.
- 36:02Speaker 2: I'm not doing a helicopter. Sorry. Just not doing it. Yeah.
- 36:07Speaker 2: Seems like every time I hear about one going up,
- 36:09Speaker 2: another one's going down. I'm with you. Not doing it.
- 36:12Speaker 3: All right, we are going to take a break, like
- 36:14Speaker 3: the most on-break time that we've ever taken here on
- 36:17Speaker 3: this show. We're going to wrap it up answering your questions.
- 36:20Speaker 3: We'll ask the bench brought to you by Dos Equis.

- 36:46Speaker 3: have going on. They're going to make sure that you
- 36:48Speaker 3: have the right size on your job. But look, if

- 36:52Speaker 2: That's okay.
- 36:52Speaker 1: They'll come. They'll pick it up.
- 36:53Speaker 2: They'll empty it.

- 37:17Speaker 2: you know how easy it is. We don't have to
- 37:19Speaker 2: tell you because they're going to text you the night

- 37:32Speaker 2: the Roloff dumpsters, flat rate price in three sizes to
- 37:35Speaker 2: choose from. They're the best. TrashRangers.com.
- 37:40Speaker 1: Locked in on LSU football 24-7. You're listening to Off
- 37:44Speaker 1: the Bench.
- 37:55Speaker 2: All right, welcome back in OTB.
- 37:59Speaker 3: Going to get a little Ask the Bench brought to
- 38:02Speaker 3: you by Dos Equis. It's always a great time to
- 38:05Speaker 3: go for a dose. It's also a great time to
- 38:08Speaker 3: go for a little sushi. Definitely grab that.
- 38:11Speaker 2: You just get sushi? Yeah, I did. Look at that
- 38:13Speaker 2: tuna roll. Uh, it is. Yeah. Not a big deal.
- 38:16Speaker 2: She's on that bus. A lot of pieces up in there, bro.
- 38:18Speaker 2: I don't want to share.
- 38:19Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 38:19Speaker 2: Well, good. Give it back to me. Cause I went
- 38:21Speaker 2: and grabbed it. He got my chopsticks ready to go.
- 38:23Speaker 1: Got my little soy sauce.
- 38:25Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 38:25Speaker 2: Put my food down. You only use one soy sauce.
- 38:29Speaker 2: That's all they had. No, they got more of them. Well,
- 38:32Speaker 2: I didn't ask, you know, just to have, you just
- 38:33Speaker 2: get more. Yeah. All right.
- 38:35Speaker 3: Hashtag ask the bench. What's your coffee order? I go coffee, Splenda,
- 38:45Speaker 3: splash of fat-free milk.
- 38:47Speaker 2: That's my coffee order.
- 38:49Speaker 1: Usually protein shake, if I'm being honest, though.
- 38:51Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 38:51Speaker 1: A little protein shake, a little proffy.
- 38:54Speaker 2: It depends if I get– I've been on a Starbucks
- 38:58Speaker 2: kick lately, just getting it there a lot just because
- 39:00Speaker 2: it's been convenient in the morning. But if I'm making
- 39:04Speaker 2: my coffee, I'll always ice coffee, clearly, because I'm about
- 39:07Speaker 2: getting it down, and the colder it is, the faster
- 39:10Speaker 2: I can chug it. I'm cold brew coffee, concentrate, scoop
- 39:15Speaker 2: of protein, scoop of creatine, a little bit of milk,
- 39:19Speaker 2: and then there's a little sweetness in the protein already,
- 39:21Speaker 2: so I'm no sweetener. If I was going to do
- 39:23Speaker 2: a sweetener, I'd do like a liquid stevia concentrate, Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 39:27Speaker 2: And fill that baby up with water, put some ice
- 39:29Speaker 2: in it, and get her done.
- 39:32Speaker 1: Hashtag Ask the Bench. Did you guys like playing these
- 39:36Speaker 1: type of games against the smaller schools?
- 39:38Speaker 2: No. No. Thanks for listening. The answer is no.
- 39:44Speaker 4: Hmm.
- 39:44Speaker 2: Taking 190 is not a bad thing. Taking 190 is
- 39:50Speaker 2: a good idea, potentially.
- 39:52Speaker 1: I know 190 like the back of my hand, too, so.
- 39:54Speaker 2: You know exactly where to slow down.
- 39:56Speaker 1: I do.
- 39:57Speaker 2: Speed traps out there. Hashtag. Guys like this, radars. Oh,
- 40:00Speaker 2: they're ready, buddy. I'm frying up some bacon for breakfast tacos.
- 40:04Speaker 1: What's your perfect breakfast taco? The next one.
- 40:09Speaker 3: Although, a lot for lunch has got a good one. Bacon, potato, egg,
- 40:13Speaker 3: and cheese. Whataburger's got a great taquito. No, soft for
- 40:18Speaker 3: breakfast taco.
- 40:18Speaker 4: Mm-hmm.
- 40:19Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 40:20Speaker 1: I'll enjoy both. I just said I don't... Breakfast.
- 40:23Speaker 2: Dog for me, you got to throw an avocado on there,
- 40:25Speaker 2: a little hot sauce.
- 40:27Speaker 1: Hot sauce or salsa?
- 40:28Speaker 2: Hot sauce. Okay. Hot sauce for me on... Now, don't
- 40:31Speaker 2: get me wrong. I love a good salsa. Yeah. But
- 40:34Speaker 2: a nice... Yeah, I love hot salsa. Cholula. Hashtag ask
- 40:39Speaker 2: the bench. Please repeat the pontoon parlay.
- 40:42Speaker 1: I missed it.
- 40:42Speaker 2: And what's Matt's pick so I can leave it out?
- 40:45Speaker 3: Matt went with Florida minus five and a half at Missouri.
- 40:50Speaker 3: Taylor went with Virginia Tech minus two and a half
- 40:53Speaker 3: hosting Pitt.
- 40:54Speaker 1: I went with Boise State.
- 40:56Speaker 3: Minus 18 and a half hosting Utah State. And Alondra
- 41:00Speaker 3: went Iowa plus 14 and.
- 41:02Speaker 1: A half hosting Ohio State. That is the pontoon parlay.
- 41:10Speaker 2: Oh, that's a good one. Hashtag Ask the Bench. You
- 41:12Speaker 2: can only buy one kind of movie candy for the
- 41:15Speaker 2: rest of your life. Which one are you buying? Movie candy?
- 41:21Speaker 1: Oh, so I don't want to go like peanut M
- 41:22Speaker 1: & M' s.
- 41:22Speaker 2: You know, I love those movies because those are basic.
- 41:25Speaker 1: I would either say Milk Duds or Raisinets.
- 41:28Speaker 2: Interesting. Milk Duds or Raisinets. I love both those.
- 41:32Speaker 1: Probably Raisinets if I'm being honest.
- 41:34Speaker 2: I don't know if I like either one of those.
- 41:37Speaker 2: I'm going to go... Oh, boy, this is a tough one.
- 41:40Speaker 2: And it's a good one. I'm going to go with
- 41:43Speaker 2: something simple, something basic, a little fruity. I'm probably going
- 41:47Speaker 2: to go... This doesn't mean it's my favorite candy, but
- 41:49Speaker 2: if I've got to choose one thing for the movie
- 41:50Speaker 2: theater that I feel like lasts the longest, I'm going
- 41:53Speaker 2: to go with just a nice roll of Starburst.
- 42:00Speaker 1: Feels a little... Because you.
- 42:01Speaker 2: Eat one and you wait a little while.
- 42:03Speaker 1: Starburst?
- 42:04Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah. I like Starburst. It's not my favorite candy.
- 42:07Speaker 2: It is not my favorite candy. Don't get me wrong.
- 42:10Speaker 2: That's not what I'm choosing if I'm going to the
- 42:11Speaker 2: gas station.
- 42:12Speaker 1: My mind just went immediately to chocolate something.
- 42:14Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't get chocolate. I've never got chocolate. Just
- 42:17Speaker 2: give me a little popcorn. Okay.
- 42:19Speaker 1: I like to sometimes mix it up a little bit.
- 42:21Speaker 1: Candy in the popcorn.
- 42:23Speaker 2: Actually, I've got to be honest with you. I've never
- 42:24Speaker 2: bought candy for myself at a movie. My kids get candy.
- 42:28Speaker 2: I get the popcorn.
- 42:30Speaker 1: I get both. When I go to a movie, Big
- 42:32Speaker 1: Mac's coming in.
- 42:34Speaker 2: I respect that. Yeah, thank you. Okay. Hashtag ask the bench,
- 42:38Speaker 2: favorite pumpkin dish. I love pumpkin bread. None of them.
- 42:41Speaker 2: I love pumpkin bread. Oh, so good. I don't like
- 42:44Speaker 2: any of them. I love it. Actually, I like most
- 42:46Speaker 2: pumpkin-flavored things. What about pumpkin pie, Matt? No. All pies stink.
- 42:50Speaker 2: Pumpkin pie is awesome.
- 42:51Speaker 1: Sweet potato pie is awesome.
- 42:53Speaker 2: All pies are trash. Pecan pie, awesome. It's all good.
- 43:01Speaker 3: Hashtag ask the bench, what was the worst stadium you
- 43:03Speaker 3: guys played in?
- 43:05Speaker 1: Probably War Memorial.
- 43:08Speaker 2: That wasn't great. No. Oakland Coliseum. Trash. Oh, yeah.
- 43:17Speaker 1: Candlestick Park in San Francisco.
- 43:19Speaker 2: Trash. We played there after rookie year in preseason. But
- 43:25Speaker 2: in college, War Memorial. It was awful.
- 43:31Speaker 1: Hashtag ask the bench.
- 43:33Speaker 3: Did you ever have a teammate that lived in a
- 43:35Speaker 3: different city and took a helicopter to games practices like
- 43:38Speaker 3: LeBron is doing this year, playing for the 76ers but
- 43:42Speaker 3: living in New York?
- 43:43Speaker 2: No. Again, stay off helicopters. Hashtag ask the bench.
- 43:53Speaker 3: Fly to Turlings in a helicopter or ride a scooter
- 43:56Speaker 3: to and from work?
- 43:58Speaker 2: Scooter. Scooter.
- 44:00Speaker 1: I did once the old moped. I took it from
- 44:03Speaker 1: the facility to St.
- 44:04Speaker 2: Gabriel.
- 44:04Speaker 3: That's where we lived when we first got married. It's
- 44:06Speaker 3: like the first row of houses in St.
- 44:09Speaker 2: Gabriel.
- 44:09Speaker 1: I remember being on Nicholson.
- 44:12Speaker 2: Going 35. I will say the scooters that he's talking
- 44:15Speaker 2: about are the standing ones, and I get it. They
- 44:17Speaker 2: are dangerous. They are definitely dangerous. Do it at your
- 44:22Speaker 2: own risk. But I've also done them when I'm traveling
- 44:24Speaker 2: to different cities. I'll download the little bird app or
- 44:26Speaker 2: whatever it is to do them. They are quite fun.
- 44:30Speaker 2: Hashtag Ask the Bench.
- 44:31Speaker 3: Has Matt convinced the California Star Wars card guy to
- 44:34Speaker 3: sell him yet?
- 44:35Speaker 2: Oh, yeah. Thanks for the update. I appreciate you checking
- 44:38Speaker 2: in on me and my mental health here on this one.
- 44:41Speaker 2: He has not responded to my latest offer to him.
- 44:44Speaker 2: So we're going to have to start threatening fisticuffs. All right.
- 44:48Speaker 1: Hashtag Ask the Bench. What do y'all think about fifth
- 44:51Speaker 1: and sixth grade football instead.
- 44:53Speaker 2: Of rec league? I don't know anything really about rec league.
- 44:58Speaker 2: I know there's some good ones. I think one that
- 45:02Speaker 2: does a lot of stuff at elite as well. But
- 45:05Speaker 2: I've really enjoyed my fifth and sixth grade experience thus
- 45:07Speaker 2: far at Dunham. And I know it's probably program to program,
- 45:11Speaker 2: coach to coach, whatever it is. We've really enjoyed ours.
- 45:14Speaker 1: That age, coaching is everything for sure.
- 45:19Speaker 3: Hashtag ask the bench for workout bros and chicks.
- 45:22Speaker 2: I don't think we can say chicks. That does not
- 45:25Speaker 2: feel great.
- 45:26Speaker 1: Is a random rest day the worst?
- 45:30Speaker 3: It makes me anxious. I guess when you're in that
- 45:33Speaker 3: flow of working out, you miss a day. When you're
- 45:36Speaker 3: getting runners high and you miss a day running, it
- 45:38Speaker 3: does get you anxious.
- 45:39Speaker 1: I get that. But it's okay to miss a day.
- 45:41Speaker 1: It's okay to rest, recover.
- 45:42Speaker 2: I don't think I've ever got to the point in
- 45:45Speaker 2: my life where I felt bad for missing a day
- 45:47Speaker 2: of work out.
- 45:49Speaker 3: I've had a runner's high before where, like, I really
- 45:52Speaker 3: enjoyed it, looked forward to it.
- 45:53Speaker 1: But, like, missing it.
- 45:54Speaker 2: Maybe not. I enjoy it after workouts. I hate during. Yeah.
- 45:59Speaker 1: So, Matt's been card blocked.
- 46:02Speaker 2: Yeah. Kind of. Pretty much.
- 46:04Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 46:05Speaker 2: Thanks for bringing it up.
- 46:06Speaker 1: We appreciate y'all. We love you.
- 46:08Speaker 2: A couple things. Go Tigers. Yeah. That's going to be fun.
- 46:12Speaker 1: Good luck to the Cubs and the Tigers. Oh, yeah.
- 46:15Speaker 1: On Friday night.
- 46:16Speaker 2: Big time.
- 46:17Speaker 3: Also, we're going to break down the Saints in the
- 46:19Speaker 3: totality on Monday. We need to get a dub so
- 46:21Speaker 3: we can get Tyler Shuck on the show.
- 46:23Speaker 1: That's in the works as well. Enjoy your day. It's
- 46:25Speaker 1: a football Friday. Stay locked in here to 104.5 ESPN
- 46:28Speaker 1: Baton Rouge and go America.
- 46:30Speaker 2: Off the Bench.
- 46:34Speaker 3: Matt's going to tell us about, well, one of his
- 46:37Speaker 3: favorite things to tell us about, and that would be Catteras.
- 46:39Speaker 2: One of our great partners here at Off the Bench,
- 46:42Speaker 2: our good friends over at Catteras. When you think about energy... Well,
- 46:45Speaker 2: you think about Catalyst. Catalyst is investing in what comes
- 46:47Speaker 2: next here in Louisiana when it comes to that American energy.
- 46:50Speaker 2: Developing the Commonwealth LNG Export Facility over in Cameron Parish,
- 46:55Speaker 2: the project's designed to take American natural gas produced here
- 46:58Speaker 2: at home and help deliver it to customers and energy
- 47:00Speaker 2: markets around the world. And that means a major investment
- 47:04Speaker 2: right here in Louisiana, supporting local jobs, local businesses, infrastructure,
- 47:08Speaker 2: and long-term economic activity across the Gulf Coast. Caterus has
- 47:12Speaker 2: built an integrated natural gas business that connects American energy
- 47:16Speaker 2: production with the growing global demand for reliable energy. It's
- 47:21Speaker 2: another example of Louisiana doing what Louisiana has done for generations,
- 47:24Speaker 2: which is help power America and the world. Caterus, investing
- 47:27Speaker 2: in Louisiana and connecting American energy to the global market.
