- 0:47Speaker 1: this is the synopsis. This is the professional synopsis. The

- 0:55Speaker 1: to the small screen. The upcoming series will follow the
- 0:58Speaker 1: aftermath of a group of Mormon influencers whose soft swinging
- 1:03Speaker 1: lifestyle upended their community and marriages. While enthralled a huge
- 1:10Speaker 1: swave on the Internet. Baith, friendship and reputations are all
- 1:15Speaker 1: on the line. A synopsis from Hulu reads in part
- 1:19Speaker 1: will hashtag mom talk be able to survive and continue
- 1:23Speaker 1: to give the rule book a run for its money,
- 1:27Speaker 1: or will this group fall from grace. Do yourselves a favor,
- 1:31Speaker 1: y'all and go to hashtag mom talk.
- 1:35Speaker 2: Okay, I tried that it's too much information.
- 1:38Speaker 1: Well that's why we are going to you know, first,
- 1:40Speaker 1: we're going to bring on these two ladies, and then
- 1:42Speaker 1: we're going to watch the show right along with you guys.
- 1:44Speaker 1: For those that don't have time to spend endless hours
- 1:48Speaker 1: on TikTok like I did.
- 1:49Speaker 3: Actually, if you go to Reddit, they do like a
- 1:52Speaker 3: nice breakdown there. Oh perfect, Yeah, if you want the
- 1:56Speaker 3: if you want the cliff notes, there's some nice just
- 1:59Speaker 3: you know, like bull points on Reddit where you can
- 2:01Speaker 3: just get a brief synopsis so you're ready.
- 2:04Speaker 2: For the show.
- 2:05Speaker 1: Okay, and then obviously you have to keep tuning in here.
- 2:08Speaker 1: But let's let's bring in Macy and MICHAELA. Macy is
- 2:12Speaker 1: a former D one tennis player at Brigham Young University.
- 2:15Speaker 1: She's also a founder of a natal nutrition company. Additionally,
- 2:18Speaker 1: the twenty year old wife has two kids and a
- 2:20Speaker 1: blended family with husband Jacob, and is currently on an
- 2:24Speaker 1: IVF journey to expand her family. She has one million
- 2:28Speaker 1: TikTok followers, and we've got Mikayla. Former teen mom. Mikayla
- 2:32Speaker 1: Matthews twenty four says, the show really gets to the
- 2:36Speaker 1: raw things that we are going through. We wanted to
- 2:39Speaker 1: show the different sides to the religion. Ads Matthews, who
- 2:42Speaker 1: is now married with three kids to husband Jayce. She
- 2:44Speaker 1: has two point four million ticure callers.
- 2:51Speaker 2: Are you on TikTok? I'm not even on TikTok.
- 2:54Speaker 1: Yeah, I was gonna say, I don't even talk about
- 2:56Speaker 1: what our TikTok company?
- 2:57Speaker 3: Well minor zero because I'm not on TikTok. I can't
- 3:03Speaker 3: do TikTok. Oh, I have thousand Damn Teddy. They should
- 3:08Speaker 3: be interviewing us, not the other way around.
- 3:11Speaker 1: Thank god we have a lot of listeners on this podcast,
- 3:13Speaker 1: because that's really where we thrive. Apparently, I think we
- 3:16Speaker 1: may have aged out from the TikTok you know phenomenon.
- 3:21Speaker 1: But let's bring the girls in and start grilling.
- 3:25Speaker 4: Hello.
- 3:25Speaker 1: I oh, of course we all are together, all right. Well,
- 3:31Speaker 1: the first thing we need to go through is can
- 3:34Speaker 1: you please tell us how mom Talk got started? And
- 3:38Speaker 1: would you give all the credit to Taylor.
- 3:42Speaker 5: Oh no, I would not give all the credit to Taylor. Yeah. No,
- 3:46Speaker 5: So we all had most of us had social followings
- 3:49Speaker 5: going into it. I think you had like two million
- 3:51Speaker 5: followers on TikTok. I think I had like one point
- 3:53Speaker 5: two million. And we kind of found each other through
- 3:56Speaker 5: TikTok and social media, so I think we were all
- 3:58Speaker 5: mutually following each other. And so then it was like, hey,
- 4:01Speaker 5: like let's do some collaborations type thing, and then we
- 4:04Speaker 5: all just decided to get together as moms and make
- 4:06Speaker 5: videos together, which was really fun. It turned into like
- 4:09Speaker 5: mom talk.
- 4:10Speaker 1: Oh that's interesting. I thought you guys knew each other
- 4:13Speaker 1: and then started mom Talk, but now you all found
- 4:16Speaker 1: each other as influencers and that you guys also.
- 4:20Speaker 3: So so are you geographically all close to each other
- 4:23Speaker 3: in Utah? I used to live in Utah for five years,
- 4:25Speaker 3: so I know the area.
- 4:27Speaker 5: Yeah, we're always in like forty five minutes I would
- 4:30Speaker 5: say each other. And we were also friends before mom
- 4:33Speaker 5: Talk started, but like through social media. So we met
- 4:36Speaker 5: like on social media in twenty twenty and became friends
- 4:38Speaker 5: and then like we ended up doing mom talk together.
- 4:40Speaker 1: And then when did mom talk kind of explode.
- 4:44Speaker 4: After the soft Swing scandal, I would see.
- 4:47Speaker 5: I mean I started blowing up beforehand, like giving millions
- 4:50Speaker 5: of us because it was just kind of out there
- 4:51Speaker 5: and a little controversial.
- 4:53Speaker 4: And then once the scandal happened, like it was.
- 4:57Speaker 5: Yeah, like all over.
- 4:59Speaker 3: Was Taylor the for the scandal to get out there?
- 5:01Speaker 3: I don't know a lot of the background. So was
- 5:04Speaker 3: she the reason?
- 5:05Speaker 2: Was it her?
- 5:06Speaker 5: She? She was, yes, like she was the one who
- 5:10Speaker 5: kind of exposed the swinging scandal. But before that, apparently
- 5:14Speaker 5: there was rumors going on like all over online so
- 5:16Speaker 5: that she was cheating, and she's like, that's actually not true,
- 5:19Speaker 5: Like this is what was going on with everyone, Like
- 5:21Speaker 5: if you're gonna expose me, I'm gonna expose everything kind
- 5:23Speaker 5: of thing.
- 5:23Speaker 2: So were you guys? Were you blindsided by that?
- 5:27Speaker 5: Not really? I had a whole theory, like when we
- 5:30Speaker 5: were all friends. It's like I feel like she might
- 5:32Speaker 5: be a swinger, like her and a couple of other girls.
- 5:34Speaker 5: I'm like, I have like some weird vibes, like I
- 5:36Speaker 5: have a phone she might be a swinger. But it's like,
- 5:38Speaker 5: don't tell anyone because it's kind of like a big accusation.
- 5:41Speaker 5: So it's just a theory, and then when it came out,
- 5:43Speaker 5: I was like, oh my gosh, that's right.
- 5:45Speaker 1: So you guys are not soft swingers.
- 5:47Speaker 5: No, they'll just have to wait and see.
- 5:49Speaker 1: Okay, I mean these can you give us before we
- 5:56Speaker 1: even continue on? Can we go through a couple of
- 5:59Speaker 1: vocabulary wars that I've learned? Well, one, Emily is married
- 6:02Speaker 1: to somebody that's LDS.
- 6:05Speaker 2: But I'm not, she's not.
- 6:08Speaker 1: But these are some things that I've learned. I want
- 6:10Speaker 1: to know if they're true or false in the Mormon community. Okay,
- 6:15Speaker 1: soaking and what's the definition?
- 6:17Speaker 5: Oh? Soaking?
- 6:18Speaker 1: Ill?
- 6:18Speaker 5: We talked about this on the show to a whole
- 6:21Speaker 5: in depth.
- 6:21Speaker 6: I feel like there's so much with like the soft swinging,
- 6:24Speaker 6: even behind the scenes, that no one knows even though
- 6:26Speaker 6: it was all I mean, it was out there on
- 6:28Speaker 6: every news article, but.
- 6:29Speaker 5: There's just so much that even I was shocked to
- 6:32Speaker 5: find out soaking is Mormon being from what I know
- 6:35Speaker 5: that happened at BYU frequently because it's like there's this
- 6:39Speaker 5: honor code and like you can't have sex before marriage,
- 6:41Speaker 5: you can't do anything besides kissing before marriage, and like
- 6:45Speaker 5: there's other rules obviously there and so I think soaking
- 6:47Speaker 5: is a way for people to get around those rules,
- 6:50Speaker 5: but in reality, it's not really getting around it. It's
- 6:53Speaker 5: kind of like a big joke, but it also apparently
- 6:55Speaker 5: it's true.
- 6:56Speaker 3: But I wait, I need I need more details to
- 7:00Speaker 3: a Mormon. But give me, like an example.
- 7:03Speaker 5: You can give an example, Like, just give me an example.
- 7:06Speaker 6: I feel like we're the worst people because we actually
- 7:08Speaker 6: just have sex and then got Yeah.
- 7:10Speaker 5: Well, okay. Soaking is like where a guy puts it
- 7:14Speaker 5: in but doesn't do anything. It just like it.
- 7:18Speaker 2: Marinates, so there's penetration, but no thrusting.
- 7:22Speaker 1: So there's no penetration, there's just entrance and then it
- 7:26Speaker 1: has to sit there still that just cannot move. Which
- 7:31Speaker 1: this brings me to my next vocabulary word, which I
- 7:34Speaker 1: could have wrong, but I think it's bed hopping.
- 7:37Speaker 5: Docking.
- 7:38Speaker 1: Oh yeah, where that somebody jumps on the bed.
- 7:41Speaker 5: So then then that's shaking the bed.
- 7:43Speaker 1: Let's get into shaking the bed and then docking.
- 7:46Speaker 5: Okay, so shaking the bed is for people who are
- 7:48Speaker 5: soaking and then they have a friend shake the bed.
- 7:51Speaker 5: So the guy's not physically moving, but the bed is
- 7:54Speaker 5: so that there's like movement.
- 7:56Speaker 2: No, you know what I mean, this is crazy. Who
- 7:58Speaker 2: comes up with this?
- 8:00Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 8:00Speaker 5: It's like.
- 8:03Speaker 3: There's so many people involved in this situation.
- 8:06Speaker 2: I can't even picture.
- 8:08Speaker 5: Like how I'm comfortable. I be like, hey, like, can
- 8:10Speaker 5: you come over for me? My friend is soak and
- 8:11Speaker 5: just like shake the bed.
- 8:13Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 8:14Speaker 3: But my stepdaughter just graduated from b YU, so I
- 8:17Speaker 3: feel like I need to need to ask her.
- 8:19Speaker 2: I need to ask her some questions.
- 8:21Speaker 5: There's probably more terms now oft YU. Now I'm out
- 8:23Speaker 5: of the loop because I've graduated a while ago, but
- 8:25Speaker 5: I bet there's more going on now, more terms, so
- 8:28Speaker 5: would be all right?
- 8:29Speaker 1: Now we need to know what docking is. Clearly, I
- 8:32Speaker 1: actually don't know what that is.
- 8:33Speaker 5: I thought that why did you expose them? I have
- 8:35Speaker 5: to explain with that.
- 8:36Speaker 1: Yeah, I see, y'all's game now between the two of you,
- 8:40Speaker 1: like one of you is kind of playing the more
- 8:42Speaker 1: demure like I'm not gonna know.
- 8:46Speaker 5: I know, I just drop the bombs.
- 8:48Speaker 1: I'm like, docky, that's so good. I'll shake the bed
- 8:51Speaker 1: for you anytime, Emily.
- 8:54Speaker 2: You just have to wake me up.
- 8:58Speaker 5: Okay, Docking okay, so oh gosh, So how do I
- 9:02Speaker 5: explain this? So docking is like, can't imagine like a
- 9:07Speaker 5: hot dog bun and like a hot dog, right she's
- 9:10Speaker 5: sitting on the top, but it's not going in. It's
- 9:12Speaker 5: just like sitting on the top right there.
- 9:14Speaker 3: Oh, like like when you dock your cell phone. I guess,
- 9:18Speaker 3: so it's called docking.
- 9:20Speaker 1: I mean, can it not be just called like dry.
- 9:22Speaker 3: Humping, because that's moving when you move.
- 9:27Speaker 5: Naked?
- 9:29Speaker 1: Oh, so you're just resting.
- 9:31Speaker 5: They're resting on the top kind of thing like inside
- 9:34Speaker 5: a little bit, but not like in like not like penetrated.
- 9:39Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 9:41Speaker 1: I mean this is so do you have to use
- 9:42Speaker 1: a condom for this type of.
- 9:43Speaker 2: Thing or is it?
- 9:45Speaker 5: I don't think that it's getting near the.
- 9:50Speaker 1: Any other keywords that we're missing so far.
- 9:54Speaker 5: Gazing you heard?
- 9:56Speaker 1: No, what's that?
- 9:57Speaker 2: It's exciting?
- 9:58Speaker 5: I wish I was looking into each other eyes. Apparently.
- 10:01Speaker 5: Gazing is like you go to a party and like
- 10:04Speaker 5: people are all naked and you just like look at
- 10:07Speaker 5: each other, but you can't touch, you can't do anything.
- 10:09Speaker 5: It's just like you're gazing. That's weird. Yeah, these are
- 10:12Speaker 5: all things I heard before BYU, but I never experienced
- 10:15Speaker 5: any of these at BAU Thankfully, but I also like
- 10:18Speaker 5: was having sex, so I mean like I was going
- 10:20Speaker 5: all the way, I wasn't really trying to get around
- 10:21Speaker 5: the loophole here.
- 10:22Speaker 3: Do you think any of this stuff is more of
- 10:24Speaker 3: like an urban legend or do you actually think it happens?
- 10:27Speaker 5: No?
- 10:27Speaker 2: I think no, it totally happens, really, Okay.
- 10:30Speaker 5: Even if you see those people who like interview students
- 10:32Speaker 5: at YU and stuff like what's the crazy thing you
- 10:34Speaker 5: ever done? Like I shook to bed for someone like
- 10:36Speaker 5: something like that, So it definitely still happens. I think
- 10:39Speaker 5: it's because kids are horny, like they want to have sex,
- 10:42Speaker 5: but they don't want to have like their repercussion, so
- 10:44Speaker 5: they think that this is like better, and it's like
- 10:45Speaker 5: they're not actually having sex, you know.
- 10:47Speaker 3: So they're trying to come up with every possible way
- 10:51Speaker 3: to actually have sex without having sex.
- 10:56Speaker 1: Or so this is a disagreement that my husband and
- 10:59Speaker 1: I have, like cold really because I don't consider oral
- 11:03Speaker 1: sex sex. I'm like, I wouldn't put that in my
- 11:06Speaker 1: number count. It's like for me, it's like sex is sex.
- 11:10Speaker 1: He considers oral sex sex. What is is oral sex?
- 11:17Speaker 1: Off limits? Too? And it okay, it's.
- 11:20Speaker 5: Like anything past like making out is like, you can't
- 11:24Speaker 5: do that?
- 11:26Speaker 1: Do you guys? Drink?
- 11:27Speaker 5: No? I mean I used to in college, have not recently.
- 11:31Speaker 5: I had a little wild girl face in college, so
- 11:34Speaker 5: I have done things, but not anymore.
- 11:38Speaker 1: Okay.
- 11:39Speaker 2: So are you two? Are you actual members of the
- 11:42Speaker 2: Mormon Church? Both of you? I am so, Macy you're not.
- 11:47Speaker 5: No, So I am. I'm an active member.
- 11:49Speaker 2: Okay, So but Kayla's not. Okay.
- 11:52Speaker 6: I haven't been practicing since I was like fifteen and
- 11:55Speaker 6: I'm twenty four now.
- 11:56Speaker 1: So how many girls on the show are active members?
- 12:02Speaker 5: I think there's only two that aren't. So seven? Oh no,
- 12:04Speaker 5: there's eight? Six?
- 12:07Speaker 2: So what at six are I'm sorry? Six are active members?
- 12:10Speaker 2: Six are? Okay?
- 12:12Speaker 1: And there's eight of you guys on the show. Yeah,
- 12:15Speaker 1: how many, allegedly, would you say soft swing?
- 12:19Speaker 5: Only one? I think out of the eight, right that
- 12:22Speaker 5: I know of, I mean less, there's more tea we
- 12:25Speaker 5: don't know.
- 12:26Speaker 1: I feel like I can see something in Mikhayla's eyes
- 12:29Speaker 1: that she's not fully opening up about.
- 12:31Speaker 5: Her assassin, Like she like will remember everything, which like
- 12:34Speaker 5: keeps it in and then she's like drop it.
- 12:38Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah I do that too.
- 12:40Speaker 1: I love it.
- 12:40Speaker 2: I call myself a sniper where you just kind of love.
- 12:45Speaker 5: Yeah, I love it.
- 12:48Speaker 1: So another big other than the soft swinging. So you
- 12:52Speaker 1: guys can easily find this. We talked about it on
- 12:54Speaker 1: Reddit or on mom talk or anything, but this group
- 12:58Speaker 1: of now we know influencers came friends. They all started
- 13:01Speaker 1: hanging out. What I've learned about the soft swinging is
- 13:04Speaker 1: it's fine as long as your partner knows it's happening.
- 13:08Speaker 1: But once it's crossed the line that your partner doesn't
- 13:11Speaker 1: know it's happening, that's where then it becomes the issue.
- 13:13Speaker 1: Is that accurate?
- 13:15Speaker 5: That's good.
- 13:16Speaker 6: Maybe people have their own rules. I mean, I've never
- 13:19Speaker 6: I don't know what the rules are of soft swinging. Yeah, no,
- 13:21Speaker 6: I don't know either, I think. But basically what you
- 13:23Speaker 6: said is similar to what Taylor told us.
- 13:25Speaker 5: It was like it was kind of like if you
- 13:26Speaker 5: were in agreement with your husband and you were like together,
- 13:28Speaker 5: Like you couldn't go right off with the guy and
- 13:30Speaker 5: you justuff alone in the room, but they were like
- 13:31Speaker 5: all together and whatever that it was fine, but like
- 13:34Speaker 5: you couldn't do stuff that your partner didn't know about.
- 13:36Speaker 5: From what I understood, so.
- 13:38Speaker 1: Taylor's gotten a lot of the press stuff, not only
- 13:41Speaker 1: from the soft swinging, and then she got the divorce
- 13:44Speaker 1: and now she's with the new guy, and then we
- 13:45Speaker 1: saw that maybe she was I don't know if she
- 13:49Speaker 1: was arrested or something along those lines, because there was
- 13:53Speaker 1: some sort of disagreement in the home, some sort of
- 13:57Speaker 1: domestic occurrence.
- 13:58Speaker 2: Yeah, I think she was arrested.
- 14:01Speaker 5: Yeah, it's on the show.
- 14:04Speaker 6: Yeah, I think social media only taps into a little
- 14:06Speaker 6: bit of that, and even like the news articles tap
- 14:08Speaker 6: into a little bit of that.
- 14:09Speaker 5: But then it kind of shows the other.
- 14:11Speaker 6: Side of her dealing with it, our for our group
- 14:13Speaker 6: kind of dealing with it, and yeah, just the more wrong.
- 14:17Speaker 3: Wait, can I just ask a timeline question. Was she
- 14:19Speaker 3: arrested while you were filming or are you just retroactively
- 14:23Speaker 3: going back and talking about.
- 14:24Speaker 5: It before we started filming?
- 14:28Speaker 3: Okay, so then when you guys get to when you
- 14:30Speaker 3: talk about that, you're talking about you're just going back
- 14:32Speaker 3: and talking about it, right, Yeah, Okay, so it didn't
- 14:35Speaker 3: happen in real time while you were filming.
- 14:38Speaker 1: No, are you guys friends with her?
- 14:41Speaker 5: Yeah, we're all friends, I would say, all the well,
- 14:45Speaker 5: not everyone in the group is still friends.
- 14:46Speaker 1: Are you friends with Whitney from Saul Lake.
- 14:49Speaker 2: Is that what you're asking?
- 14:50Speaker 1: No, but no, Whitney though she's the one who she
- 14:57Speaker 1: had one of her children, was in the nick You,
- 14:59Speaker 1: but she put did a TikTok Oh dance video.
- 15:03Speaker 5: Yeah, I would say we're all friends.
- 15:05Speaker 6: I think some of us are closer than others, and
- 15:07Speaker 6: I think the show definitely tested a lot of.
- 15:09Speaker 4: Our relationships and friendships, so some of that unfolds.
- 15:14Speaker 5: Yeah, you'll have to wait and see how that one
- 15:16Speaker 5: plays out. Because the friendship thing got sticky with all
- 15:18Speaker 5: of us.
- 15:19Speaker 3: I would say, do you think it's gonna get even
- 15:21Speaker 3: stickier after the episode's air? Like, I don't know the format,
- 15:24Speaker 3: but obviously with Housewives, we get to see things later
- 15:28Speaker 3: that were filmed that we're not aware of. So you know,
- 15:31Speaker 3: you you come out of filming Housewives and you're like, oh,
- 15:34Speaker 3: we're all friends, and then you watch the episodes and
- 15:36Speaker 3: you end up all hating each other. So is that
- 15:38Speaker 3: kind of the premise of this.
- 15:40Speaker 6: I think maybe we might have worked things out, and
- 15:42Speaker 6: then maybe watching it again it'll kind of spark those
- 15:45Speaker 6: same feelings. So I think we're all gonna go through
- 15:48Speaker 6: it again for sure.
- 15:48Speaker 5: Yeah, because I think you're seeing people in their personal interviews. Right,
- 15:51Speaker 5: we'll see people in their personal interviews. Yeah, maybe you're
- 15:55Speaker 5: gonna be like, wait, that's not what you said to me.
- 15:57Speaker 5: I think that's where we might have some issues. Nice
- 16:00Speaker 5: assume that there will be some issues once it comes out.
- 16:02Speaker 6: I think it's hard to get eight women together not
- 16:05Speaker 6: have a little bit of I mean when we had
- 16:07Speaker 6: a lot of our overnights and birthday trips, I feel
- 16:10Speaker 6: like I felt like I was with my sisters and
- 16:12Speaker 6: I was arguing with my sisters again.
- 16:14Speaker 5: And our periods were all sinking too, were like hungry
- 16:17Speaker 5: together seeking period. It is going to be drama.
- 16:20Speaker 1: It's like me and Emily, we go through perimenopause together. Also,
- 16:34Speaker 1: something that happens on Housewives is you think like you're like, Wow,
- 16:37Speaker 1: I'm really nailing it like this, people are going to
- 16:41Speaker 1: love I never think that, but some people do.
- 16:44Speaker 2: Some people do. Yes, I agree, people really.
- 16:48Speaker 1: Think like, gosh, this is my season blah blah. If
- 16:51Speaker 1: you were going to tell us who, like the crowd
- 16:54Speaker 1: favorite is going to be from this season and who
- 16:57Speaker 1: we're going to have the hardest time with, who would
- 16:59Speaker 1: you say?
- 17:00Speaker 5: I don't know if we can say.
- 17:01Speaker 6: I think there's just something for everybody, and so I
- 17:04Speaker 6: think it'll differ depending on the person. I think each
- 17:07Speaker 6: person in the cash shared something super vulnerable, and so
- 17:10Speaker 6: I think whoever is going to resonate with that, they're
- 17:12Speaker 6: gonna resonate with that one person.
- 17:16Speaker 4: I think all of us think we're the main character always.
- 17:19Speaker 5: I think I think it's gonna be what she said,
- 17:22Speaker 5: like whoever you're gonna relate to the most, because me
- 17:25Speaker 5: all are going to be different, but we're also all
- 17:27Speaker 5: very vulnerable and open. So I think like there's gonna
- 17:29Speaker 5: probably be a villain, there's gonna be like someone who
- 17:31Speaker 5: says whatever comes to their mind. It's gonna be a peacemaker.
- 17:33Speaker 5: There's gonna be all of it. So I think it
- 17:35Speaker 5: depends on what meshes the best with your personality to
- 17:37Speaker 5: your like the best.
- 17:39Speaker 1: And now I also need to know, like, are you
- 17:40Speaker 1: guys already media trained or is this like just because
- 17:44Speaker 1: you're part of LDS, like that you know how to
- 17:46Speaker 1: answer all the questions without actually giving us the tea.
- 17:52Speaker 5: I know you're dodging.
- 17:54Speaker 1: I'm like, I feel like I and then why don't.
- 17:58Speaker 5: I want to put any assumption because I like, we
- 18:00Speaker 5: haven't seen it yet. I'm like, I don't know who'd
- 18:02Speaker 5: be the favorite.
- 18:03Speaker 6: I mean, like, of course we think we already have
- 18:05Speaker 6: our own personal opinions, but we're just gonna hold on
- 18:08Speaker 6: to them because I'm I was.
- 18:10Speaker 3: Going to ask you that. So you haven't seen any
- 18:12Speaker 3: of the episodes yet.
- 18:13Speaker 2: They haven't.
- 18:14Speaker 6: No, we've seen like bits and pieces of it, but
- 18:17Speaker 6: not like full Okay, it's the plan to give you
- 18:20Speaker 6: the episode before it airs so that you can see it, or.
- 18:22Speaker 5: You don't know.
- 18:23Speaker 4: I think we're just gonna watch it with the rest
- 18:25Speaker 4: of the world and never.
- 18:26Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, what do you think that there is some
- 18:30Speaker 3: type of reunion that they'll film like they do with housewives,
- 18:33Speaker 3: because obviously there's gonna be a bunch out there and
- 18:35Speaker 3: you guys are all going to have what you're gonna
- 18:37Speaker 3: want to, you know, have a rebuttal or explain something
- 18:40Speaker 3: more So, are there any plans to bring you all
- 18:43Speaker 3: back together and do that?
- 18:44Speaker 5: I don't know. I think that would be fun, though
- 18:46Speaker 5: I think it depends too on like if the viewers
- 18:48Speaker 5: really want it, and you're like, hey, we want to
- 18:50Speaker 5: rely want it, then we'll do it. I don't but
- 18:52Speaker 5: it's not up to us. I think it's just kind
- 18:54Speaker 5: of like how the show does. And like if there's
- 18:56Speaker 5: if there's unanswered questions, maybe then they'll want to do one.
- 18:58Speaker 5: But we don't know yet.
- 18:59Speaker 1: If right, and everybody is currently married on the show,
- 19:04Speaker 1: and you guys are all and everybody has kids.
- 19:08Speaker 5: No, so Layla is not married and then anymore, she
- 19:11Speaker 5: got divorced and then Taylor is dating Dakotas they're not
- 19:14Speaker 5: like married yet, but they seem like they're married.
- 19:16Speaker 6: But everyone has kids. Everyone has kids. There's blended families.
- 19:20Speaker 6: There's people that have been married, got divorced and now
- 19:22Speaker 6: they're married again and have step sibling or yeah, kids,
- 19:26Speaker 6: there's actually a lot of that.
- 19:27Speaker 5: I think, Yeah, are.
- 19:28Speaker 1: We gonna like Dakota because it's been a little rough
- 19:30Speaker 1: going on social media?
- 19:32Speaker 4: You know you'll have to wait, Allen for sure.
- 19:38Speaker 2: Wait, but you should ask that. Do you like Dakota?
- 19:43Speaker 6: I like Tens on the day. I think it depends
- 19:46Speaker 6: on the day for anyone. If I'm like me and
- 19:48Speaker 6: him definitely have conflict on this show. I don't want
- 19:50Speaker 6: to give anything away, but like, I think he's a
- 19:53Speaker 6: nice person for sure. But yeah, we've definitely had our
- 19:56Speaker 6: issues and you'll see that all are out.
- 19:58Speaker 4: I think it.
- 19:58Speaker 6: Really tests every relationship that you think it wouldn't when
- 20:02Speaker 6: you're put in these situations.
- 20:04Speaker 5: And so I think even if.
- 20:05Speaker 4: You want in being like, oh yeah, I'm good at
- 20:06Speaker 4: this person, it really just tests.
- 20:08Speaker 5: The boundaries and test the water. So I think the
- 20:11Speaker 5: show in general is almost like a social experiment because
- 20:13Speaker 5: we all, most of us were friends going into it,
- 20:16Speaker 5: and like we all had our trials to get like,
- 20:17Speaker 5: even we who were like we're very very close, like
- 20:20Speaker 5: had moments where we're like, what's going on, like even
- 20:22Speaker 5: in our friendship, And I think a reality show kind
- 20:25Speaker 5: of tests that because it's just crazy. It's emotionally draining too.
- 20:29Speaker 5: It's a lot.
- 20:30Speaker 1: And what are your thoughts on the book Bad Mormon.
- 20:34Speaker 5: I haven't read it, so I don't know. I might
- 20:36Speaker 5: have to add that to my list. I've never read
- 20:38Speaker 5: it before. But I am a big book girl, an
- 20:40Speaker 5: audible girl. I don't like to read. I'd like to listen,
- 20:43Speaker 5: so might have to tex I haven't heard of that.
- 20:46Speaker 3: Have you gotten any feedback as far as the church?
- 20:49Speaker 3: Because I lived in Utah for five years, my husband
- 20:52Speaker 3: is Mormon. I'm not but I do know that culturally
- 20:55Speaker 3: the church is huge. I mean, it's just I felt
- 21:01Speaker 3: when I lived there, I felt like I didn't really
- 21:02Speaker 3: fit in because I was never LDS, so you know,
- 21:05Speaker 3: I always felt a little displaced there. So my question
- 21:07Speaker 3: would be, with these episodes coming out and the religion
- 21:11Speaker 3: being such so central to all of this, do you
- 21:13Speaker 3: guys worry about what the church thinks and church and
- 21:17Speaker 3: it's import the show?
- 21:18Speaker 5: And yeah, I think for sure.
- 21:20Speaker 4: I think even just dropping the name.
- 21:22Speaker 6: It was like a huge backlash already just having the
- 21:25Speaker 6: word Mormon in there. And I think it's hard where
- 21:28Speaker 6: we are if we go anywhere else, like Utah has
- 21:30Speaker 6: such a strong community of Mormons. So I think it's
- 21:33Speaker 6: just the community and the culture in Utah that's hard
- 21:35Speaker 6: to navigate. And I feel like it's such a small
- 21:38Speaker 6: bubble in Utah too, like everyone knows somebody, even.
- 21:42Speaker 5: Driving home from her house.
- 21:43Speaker 6: The other day, I was in an uber and the
- 21:45Speaker 6: guy was like, oh, so what do you do? And
- 21:47Speaker 6: I talked about being on a reality show. He's like, oh,
- 21:49Speaker 6: it's not the new Secret Lives, warmon Lives and I
- 21:52Speaker 6: was like, oh, actually it is.
- 21:53Speaker 4: And so it's like and he just had so many
- 21:56Speaker 4: questions to ask.
- 21:56Speaker 5: I think it's just fascinating.
- 21:58Speaker 4: But I definitely think people in Utah a little bit
- 22:00Speaker 4: more offended by it. Maybe Yeah, I'm.
- 22:03Speaker 5: Originally California too, and I would say the culture in
- 22:06Speaker 5: each ove is a lot different than it is in California,
- 22:09Speaker 5: And I do think I don't think the church will
- 22:12Speaker 5: really do much.
- 22:13Speaker 4: And I think as long as you know who you
- 22:15Speaker 4: are and like what you're betraying, then there's nothing to
- 22:17Speaker 4: worry about.
- 22:18Speaker 5: Like I'm not worried about it as an active member
- 22:19Speaker 5: because like I didn't do anything that I'm like worried
- 22:21Speaker 5: about or like that.
- 22:23Speaker 1: What do you have your undergarments on right now?
- 22:25Speaker 5: Not right now?
- 22:26Speaker 6: Uh oh we're business up here, but casual.
- 22:32Speaker 5: It's too hot in my house right now to where
- 22:34Speaker 5: I'm no, But I know I talked about that on
- 22:36Speaker 5: my social medium, like why are we asking people like
- 22:39Speaker 5: what underwear are we wearing? Like why do you care
- 22:40Speaker 5: if I'm like wearing that? Like I think it's when
- 22:42Speaker 5: it's personal for each member, but also like for some reason,
- 22:47Speaker 5: it's like a culture thing where people are like, well,
- 22:48Speaker 5: you're not doing this, you're not doing this, You're not
- 22:50Speaker 5: doing this you're not Mormon, but like that's not true.
- 22:52Speaker 5: So I'm really hoping the show can shed light on
- 22:54Speaker 5: the fact that, like there we're all on different journeys
- 22:57Speaker 5: with the Mormon Church, and we don't need to judge
- 23:00Speaker 5: based on where they are, but anything, we should be
- 23:01Speaker 5: accepting people because we're all sinners. That's why we go
- 23:03Speaker 5: to church, right, is to you know, feel that community
- 23:06Speaker 5: and get altered to Christ. Right, So why are we
- 23:08Speaker 5: turning people away and saying we don't claim these people?
- 23:11Speaker 5: So that's why I hope the show shit's like hones
- 23:13Speaker 5: like you can still be Mormon, like you could come
- 23:14Speaker 5: to church, you could do this, like you don't have
- 23:16Speaker 5: to be perfect. And so that's kind of like what
- 23:18Speaker 5: I'm hoping comes out of it.
- 23:19Speaker 4: And I think a big bash backlash that we've gotten to.
- 23:23Speaker 6: Is saying, oh, well, they don't look like typical Mormon wives,
- 23:26Speaker 6: and I'm like, well, what does a typical Mormon wife look.
- 23:28Speaker 3: I don't think that's true because I lived in Utah
- 23:31Speaker 3: for five years and I was like, damn, all these
- 23:33Speaker 3: women are attractive. I think I can I can spot
- 23:36Speaker 3: a Mormon wife woman, and they all are attractive.
- 23:40Speaker 2: They really are.
- 23:41Speaker 1: Well put together, I guess, and.
- 23:43Speaker 3: I read once that there's more like plastic surgery in
- 23:46Speaker 3: Utah than than California, the second biggest. Like the women
- 23:51Speaker 3: in Utah look good and they take care of themselves,
- 23:53Speaker 3: So I think you all do look like Mormon wife.
- 23:56Speaker 5: So you can spot a Mormon wife, like when I
- 23:59Speaker 5: go back to California, like, oh that girls Mormon, tell
- 24:02Speaker 5: I don't know what to die.
- 24:03Speaker 2: I can't do.
- 24:04Speaker 6: Mormons, but I think there's I think that's what was
- 24:06Speaker 6: so fascinating about the show is just Utah women in general.
- 24:09Speaker 5: People are so fascinated with because they're like, what do
- 24:11Speaker 5: they look like this where are always put together and
- 24:13Speaker 5: they're drinking soda at nine am?
- 24:15Speaker 1: Like you know what, I like that drive through where
- 24:19Speaker 1: you can only get sodas and you add a little splash.
- 24:22Speaker 1: What's it called.
- 24:26Speaker 2: Swag?
- 24:26Speaker 1: I love my gosh. Well, thank you guys so much.
- 24:32Speaker 1: We are so excited to watch and recap and then
- 24:35Speaker 1: hopefully we can have you guys back on.
- 24:38Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, thank you guys. I appreciate it. Thank you
- 24:41Speaker 2: so much. Okay, bye,
