- 0:00so I may have done something stupid the other night get out doesn't surprise me
- 0:04um I accidentally purchased a new phone welcome to multiple
- 0:10nerdgasm with your hosts Matt Luke and
- 0:15Dan multiple nerdgasm your guide to All
- 0:20Things nerdy okay well it doesn't sound I'm
- 0:27going to assume you didn't stupid fin jump on the bandwagon and purchase the
- 0:31Apple iPhone right no I I did not I got I've sort of I was just bucking around
- 0:38on kogan which is like Amazon in Australia [ __ ] I haven't seen that
- 0:41website in a while I don't think they have that here go on and uh I was
- 0:44looking at the pixel 3 XL okay okay and then was just mucking around seeing how
- 0:50much should be how much shipping would be and then accidentally went yeah okay
- 0:53I'll buy it and then I accidentally inputed your credit card details I Dr
- 0:57200 gin and tonics and then all of a sudden I woke up and it said thanks for
- 1:01your order yeah so Luke what phone do you currently use uh pixel 2 XL okay
- 1:07right so you're you're not a you're not new to the pixel Market no I quite like
- 1:12the pixel it's a good phone but I did it's quite expensive at the moment cuz
- 1:16it's still quite new so my understanding that the the plus side of getting the
- 1:22pixel is for its camera right it's got It's got a really outstanding camera
- 1:25great camera and unlimited storage for photos now because I'll put it to you
- 1:29that you just spent a lot of money on a new camera yes yeah so spending a lot of
- 1:35money on a new phone that has a new camera seems a little bit redundant
- 1:39doesn't it well I didn't really want to buy it I was actually just mucking
- 1:44around just trying to see things it wasn't accident me hitting by but surely
- 1:49by that point you're hitting byed to can you're putting it in your cart and then
- 1:54you're going into the cart and then you're going purchase like there's a lot
- 1:59of steps accidentally I will in your defense I I mean I haven't used kogan in
- 2:03a while I have actually have myself ordered a phone off kogan in the past uh
- 2:07when I live in Australia but on Amazon right I have this disabled because the
- 2:12the thought of it terrifies me but you can turn on OneTouch ordering which
- 2:15means if my and I think that's brushed the wrong button I would [ __ ] order
- 2:20anything I'm looking at cuz I honestly did not want to buy this phone it's
- 2:24like, 1500 bucks but that said I do have I do have plenty of time to cancel
- 2:28orders on Amazon and I've canceled orders that I at the time was like yeah
- 2:32I'll get that and then an hour later was like I shouldn't have bought that and I
- 2:35can cancel it so I measured them right away they've with like 5 minutes putting
- 2:41the order in they got back to be two days later after it shipped cuz it
- 2:45Doesn't arri arrives tomorrow they're going hey yes these are the forms of
- 2:49payment we accept and I went it's not really what I was asking about yeah I
- 2:53think kogan's not in Australia uh for the record they ship out you know what I
- 2:58wonder if they ship out of Singapore mine came from uh somewh because they're
- 3:03gray Market phones I got nothing to do with this they're gray Market
- 3:07phones yes which they work just as well the [ __ ] is the gray Market the gray
- 3:12Market isin knockoffs no no no just they're like you know how maybe you
- 3:18don't know I don't you may know that different countries have different
- 3:20versions of the phones right right so and what kogan does I think generally is
- 3:27they'll buy like the the Asian countries phones which are cheaper for some reason
- 3:32and then sell them to people in Australia for cheaper yeah all it is it
- 3:36doesn't come with like a Australian plug so I just have to get an adapter for it
- 3:41okay still exactly the same phone yep except it might be in Chinese when you
- 3:44get it I've had that happen I haven't had quite that happen before but they
- 3:47provide instructions on how to change it to English yeah most widely read
- 3:51language in the world boys you should just get on that not by me mate I can
- 3:55barely read English I live in America I speak Spanish yeah that's right
- 4:01yeah so that was my eventual shopping trip this week where I got in a lot of
- 4:04trouble because so I know uh luk I know that you're not in charge of your your
- 4:08own money and that you have a joint account and then your wife gives you
- 4:12pocket money does she give you enough pocket money to buy a $1,500 phone no it
- 4:18was sort of a oh crap um cuz I got kogan set up with my PayPal account right and
- 4:24so PayPal will getting moreish you got take the money
- 4:30well no that's the thing it accidentally typed in my PayPal password and confir
- 4:35no that's the thing I was expecting it to go to PayPal actually Luke in your
- 4:39defense I think you can set up Paypal to just yeah automatically do it no you're
- 4:44right cuz you know how sometimes when you buy something and it's PayPal you
- 4:47get to pay after delivery and you get like that 21 days to pay what I've never
- 4:52okay so PayPal have this thing where you can pay now and then they'll only deduct
- 4:56the money 21 days later huh jokes on I'm committing suicide in 2 weeks I was
- 5:03trying to see if that was going to be thing cuz I was going to plan it out go
- 5:06look if I work some overtime I can probably afford the phone in a couple of
- 5:09months time I was just seeing if they had that feature but when I hit the buy
- 5:13button it just purchased the phone I to go Hanah can you please
- 5:17transfer me $1,500 for a phone and she's going to get my old one so just to be
- 5:22clear you did purposely click the buy button yes but didn't think it would buy
- 5:27it you you thought it would give you other options I thought cuz when I know
- 5:32when you normally hit buy with PayPal it normally takes you to the PayPal site
- 5:37yeah that is expecting that that's fair
- 5:41he's not wrong but I am suspicious it was an accident I promise but if you
- 5:47don't want the phone and you have to have Hannah transfer you that money why
- 5:51don't you just let it default on the payment cuz def faulting looks bad does
- 5:56look bad and plus the payment went default the payment will still go to
- 6:00kogan and then I'll just be in debt to PayPal and PayPal get upset about that
- 6:04you can't imagine why wellard so this is not like that time
- 6:10you flew to La for a couple of days and then stayed for 2 weeks this is nothing
- 6:16like that this is different to me this is different I imagine she's probably
- 6:20got the same expression on her face so I I shouldn't be playing this jingle while
- 6:25the other brothers are doing time listen upo it's [ __ ] crime
- 6:30there was no crime no crime but I I I think her reaction probably would have
- 6:34been the same then as it was for this yeah probably but did you say you're
- 6:38passing her the old phone yes I am yeah I don't think that's you're going to be
- 6:43doing her phone her phone's dying at the moment so yeah if she's going to have to
- 6:49give you this money I think she's she's going to demand the new phone well well
- 6:54my old my phone's cuz I've currently got it's only like 6 months old it's fine
- 7:00that's what that's probably what she's going to tell
- 7:04you oh dear I'm jering your phone H don't know what I'm going to do yet get
- 7:09a pixel 3 XL definitely not going to do I'm going to get an iPhone of some sort
- 7:13just not sure which one there's options there's not normally options you know
- 7:18well and then there were two options and then there were no options again and now
- 7:22there's three options like what the hell yeah but are they really options though
- 7:26yeah yeah I think the XR might be uh might be enough hey get an Android have
- 7:31some fun live on the edge try something new I tried an Android before it was
- 7:35[ __ ] annoying everything else I have is Apple sick of knowing how to do
- 7:38everything try Android and get confused no no no you can just set it up the way
- 7:43you want instead of having Apple tell you how you want that's the thing you
- 7:46have to set it up the way you want Apple knows how you [ __ ] want it it's got
- 7:50the best way and that's the only way you can do it and then you just is it the
- 7:55best way though just use the phone just use it I mean that's their thing with
- 7:59computer too don't know about computers don't worry just use
- 8:04it yeah I I still don't think you're going to Wi me over to ah that thing
- 8:09Apple well I I remember the time that you and I went into Burger King and you
- 8:13you stood in a line that wasn't a line and you stood there and demanded it
- 8:16become a line um a line you were still there demanding it become a line after
- 8:21we had been in the line gotten to the front of the line gotten served taken
- 8:24our food outside eaten our food come back and to try to convince you to leave
- 8:28and then left so they served me the fact that you're sticking to your guns on
- 8:34this despite clear better product is not
- 8:39surprising to me at all well good luck I would say with your new phone and your
- 8:43new wife that you'll be needing well I need to now buy
- 8:47accessories for it now for the new yeah yeah no for the new phone well I need to
- 8:52buy a cover for it and also it's it's got wireless charging so I got to get
- 8:55the wireless charger so the pixel 3 doesn't take the same thought into this
- 9:00phone you don't want yeah that's right well I had to look into it after it what
- 9:03and need a different charger to the previous version as well no no no I can
- 9:07just the pixel 2 didn't have wireless charging but the pixel 3 does so I'm
- 9:10going to pick up a wireless charger okay okay I love wireless charging is great
- 9:15yeah is that why you pretended to accidentally buy this phone yeah yeah it was an
- 9:23accident new iPhone's wireless charging too just saying yeah it does well my my
- 9:30other phone my last phone before the pixel had it that's why it was very
- 9:33strange when the pixel 2 didn't have wireless charging cuz that's not new no
- 9:39no been around for a bit I remember I once bought a wireless it was a it said
- 9:43you could charge a non wireless device with this pad like you plug it into the
- 9:49phone say and then you sit the phone on the pad and then it charges but when I
- 9:51got it uh it was enormous and it was basically like you had to plug the phone
- 9:58into a second de to put on your desk and I was like what the fu how in any
- 10:03[ __ ] way is this Wireless if I've got to plug this giant thing into my phone
- 10:08and then sit it on this other giant thing it was ridiculous it's come a long
- 10:11way you paid money for it oh I did I did they were happy it's in the trash now
- 10:15look we may have come a long way but there's all [ __ ] cords on my desk
- 10:18still just saying true oh I still prefer cords yeah I got to plug everything else
- 10:23in might as well plug my phone in like Wi-Fi I still hate really I don't use uh
- 10:29well I I have a I have a mesh Network we've talked about this before and we
- 10:32have a mesh Network at work now I don't use wired networking anymore you should
- 10:37Fe your Xbox why cuz it's better my mesh Network pretty
- 10:43fast yeah but trust me it's better to be plugged in okay there's less chance of
- 10:48interference and all that crap and yeah if you're playing online when when do
- 10:53you play the when how does that help I play online all the time all right fine
- 10:58just not with people people you guys been playing anything
- 11:03this week I went back and played Fallout 4 really okay yeah cuz I realized I
- 11:09hadn't actually finished it so I went and finished it oh I haven't finished it
- 11:12either actually you mention it yeah Fallout six got me sort of a taste for a
- 11:17Fallout game again so yeah this week sorry 76 Fallout 76 I was like not only
- 11:23has there been a Fallout five I missed but they're also up to six it didn't
- 11:27didn't cut it for you apparently well they've youve we've missed 72 of them
- 11:31according to the new game yeah that's true but then again we're playing it on
- 11:36the Xbox one which is the Third Xbox so we shouldn't really be surprised that's
- 11:40true and what Luke's playing your you're playing yours on the Xbox One X which is
- 11:43the fourth Xbox right yes no to be fifth
- 11:48no theox one ran numeral 10 cuz there was the original
- 11:54Xbox then there was the Xbox 360 Yes MH
- 11:59and there was the Xbox 360 slim oh yeah
- 12:03we're counting those then Xbox One Xbox
- 12:08One S Xbox One S and then Xbox One X so it's the sixth one mhm okay isn't there
- 12:13a new Xbox One S though what there two generations of that thing as well you
- 12:19know what forget it I don't know I know there I'm still hoping the room is true
- 12:23and there's a new Xbox coming out next year that's dis
- 12:27plus well that's not going to do me any CU I still have a bunch of games on
- 12:31discs well the rumor is that when you buy this one you can also take in your
- 12:35games and they'll give you a code for them yeah it definitely sounds like a
- 12:39rumor yeah I mean it's I was going to say that's what people said about D and
- 12:43D Beyond and that didn't happen but then DNB On's a different company so I mean
- 12:48Microsoft might be able to pull that off but okay I just have to work out a way
- 12:51to play nice with um game stores yes cuz they can't piss them off
- 12:57too much already have well game sell secondhand on oh right but you're saying
- 13:03that there's no discs that'll just kill that whole Market yeah yeah you're right
- 13:07it literally would wouldn't it okay fair enough well they'll just be gift card
- 13:11stores from now on in theory I think that's what they should do H well I I've
- 13:16played uh I've been playing a bunch of crash lands again this week on the
- 13:20switch but I've also on my iPad gotten
- 13:24into a bunch of adventure games that I discovered that are now available on
- 13:29there and one of them which is a game I've been mean to play for a long time
- 13:32is a game called primordia mhm you ever heard of it no I
- 13:37have not okay it's a little indie game by W feeling I purchased this on Steam
- 13:43and never played it it's definitely a game that I could imagine you would go
- 13:47ooh and and buy it like it's an old school Adventure game point and click
- 13:52adventure game and it's got like a kind of post-apocalyptic robot Vibe you play
- 13:58every everyone's robot in humans are gone at this point and it's just all
- 14:01robots in in this Wasteland and you play
- 14:04as um Horatio man built sorry htio null
- 14:09built man okay the robot surnames are who built them and then
- 14:14built and it's it's it's quite a neat little world and I think yeah it's ratio
- 14:19null built because he doesn't know who built who built him but you you've built
- 14:22this guy I forget his name now krisen and so his name's krispen htio built and
- 14:29so all the characters in it have names like that and basically you you've got a
- 14:34ship called the unique out in the [ __ ] dunes and then a big robot
- 14:39bursts in and steals your power core and you've got to get it back and it's a
- 14:43point and click adventure game and it's [ __ ] excellent and I finished it last
- 14:46night sounds excellent I finished it last night and it's got it must be
- 14:52like 20 30 endings depending on specific things that happen in the game cuz
- 14:57there's there's things that you do it and then you can only do it once and and
- 15:01and I'm like oh I [ __ ] that up and then I you try to do it again it's like
- 15:04no you can't do it again so you would have to replay it to just do that little
- 15:09little thing you can still finish the game but there's just little pieces of
- 15:11it that change the story that there's only an opportunity you know once or
- 15:15twice to do them it's quite clever that way like I'm not going to do it because
- 15:20I don't have time but it is it's like a neat little feature so but yeah Prim
- 15:24audio uh I recommend it highly it it was a lot of fun yeah I'll check it out for
- 15:29sure yeah I'm almost positive I have it yeah and yeah it wouldn't surprise me
- 15:34and it's uh the same publisher as uh have you seen the the Blackwell games
- 15:39Blackwell Legacy and uh and I also have which I started last night after I
- 15:45finished this Gemini Rue which is by the same publisher not the same team but the same
- 15:52publisher uh which is also an adventure game so I'm just I'm just like oh man
- 15:57all these games are on iPad and also I got I picked up the day of the tentacle
- 16:01remake and Full Throttle remakes which I haven't played them yet but I'm just I'm
- 16:05on an adventure game binge at the moment so no man I feel you I am too I've just
- 16:09been I've had my scum VM open at work and just in the background been playing
- 16:14Lucas Sal games play through the Dig man that's still [ __ ] hard the Dig is
- 16:19fantastic that's what I feel man even when you know what to do in the Dig it's
- 16:22that [ __ ] Turtle puzzle shits me every time yeah that's difficult I can
- 16:27never remember what way that stupid tail is supposed to go yeah yeah that's right
- 16:32yeah it took me a couple of goes and uh and just a couple of the couple of the
- 16:37little technical puzzles that don't see even when I get them right I'm still not
- 16:42sure how I've done it you know what I really want to play
- 16:47the Dig I'm buying it right now somehow I don't own it I remember being a
- 16:51teenager my friend had the Dig and he just showed me the start of it you know
- 16:55the like intro in the first first 10 minutes of it and it blew my mind yeah
- 16:59man I know I know it's a [ __ ] fantastic game dig and Full Throttle I
- 17:04need to play that Full Throttle is a great game if you don't mind not playing
- 17:07much game see I've never played they were the first sort that was the first
- 17:12one where it's sort of yeah it's not a game so much as a story that you interact with
- 17:17sometimes starring Mark haml am I right I think oh you could be right yeah think
- 17:23Mark ham is the voice of the main character speaking of uh stories that
- 17:28you watch in L play I've pushed on a little bit with call of cthulu which uh
- 17:33look I'm really enjoying it um it hasn't
- 17:38improved too much in terms of gaml and it went from super easy to a super hard
- 17:44bit that I had to do like 40 times in a
- 17:47row um for want of dying but uh but [ __ ]
- 17:52you know just I'm in the funking lovecraftian world and I'm I'm loving it
- 17:59I'm going have to check it out I haven't turned my Xbox on this week at
- 18:04all been playing my I've been playing my switch my iPad a lot you know I don't
- 18:10even have an iPad anymore h no I got rid of mine years ago and I've just never
- 18:15thought of replacing it I like it yeah I can't imagine myself wanting one H well
- 18:21see I don't I I think uh next time I buy a computer it's not going to be a laptop
- 18:25cuz I don't use this thing anywhere that's not this room so it doesn't need
- 18:31to be a laptop and I just have my iPad floating around the house with me yeah
- 18:35well my work computer and my home computer are one and the same so I I
- 18:38need to be portable and I guess if you've got a laptop that goes everywhere
- 18:41with you you you never really want to yeah a tablet see I don't do that only
- 18:46because with with work I don't want to I mean I'm not I don't not that I think
- 18:51this would happen but if you if you create something on work Hardware they
- 18:55potentially take ownership of it and I mean not that they would want [ __ ] this show
- 19:02or whatever the hell else say sorry guys my work now owns you guys yeah Le gasm
- 19:08is is no longer owned by us I'm afraid so yes so know I I maintain two separate
- 19:13computers for that but just just CU yeah no that sounds like the kind of paranoia
- 19:18that you usually you usually
- 19:22maintain yeah yeah that's me a healthy paranoia never heard anyone mhm
- 19:29look we touched on Lucas Arts games uh very briefly when talking about the Dig
- 19:34and uh and full throttle and I want to just continue on on this thread Matt are
- 19:39you able to play us the George Lucas news jingle absolutely I think as long
- 19:45as it's in this thing I got this new um
- 19:49like it's a new piece of software this it's been a while now to to play the
- 19:54jingles uh and it's like you know it looked really easy it's kind of like a
- 19:59you know like a real radio station would have and then you start the problem is
- 20:03it's we've got such ridiculous names for
- 20:05things and like it's actually not
- 20:10necessarily even an alphabetical order and it's not necessarily called
- 20:15George Lucas news jingle I'm sure no exactly so that's the problem is and I'm
- 20:19just trying to find maybe it's time we update the names of them yeah well I've
- 20:24I've been meaning to do that and I just have not so uh see in here's the is this
- 20:29your way of telling us you don't have the George Lucas news jingle I think the
- 20:33George Lucas news jingle is in here it is it's in the drop
- 20:39box George luas
- 20:42news no George news so George Lucas is
- 20:47[ __ ] Rich fellas he's richer than I thought We've joked about that I mean we
- 20:51all yeah we've joke that he like [ __ ]
- 20:54eats money money yeah and he does um in
- 20:59fact he eats money to the tune of5 billion net worth goodness me according
- 21:05to after he sold Star Wars well yeah but didn't he donate four [ __ ] million of
- 21:11that $4 billion of the $4.2 billion to charity yeah and even after that he's
- 21:16still left with $5.4 billion which one
- 21:19on for's most wealthy celebrities list so what he's still got industrial Light
- 21:24and Magic he's still got what else does he have I thought he that no that was a
- 21:29whole package wasn't it I think Disney owns all that now I think he sold no he
- 21:32still got that you sure I thought it was a package the rights he sold the rights
- 21:36to Star Wars I know that ilm is in the same building as Disney but I don't know
- 21:42what the ownership uh situation is there you know who's like number three behind
- 21:46him though Steven Spielberg $3.7 billion and I re well don't forget money from he
- 21:53owns back backend points of Star Wars he swapped 10 10% of Star Wars for 10% of
- 21:59um Close Encounters yeah right I remember he made a great deal there yeah he did that's
- 22:06right well to be honest George Lucas I think did it to cheer him up because uh
- 22:11Spielberg was working sucks no it doesn't suck it's [ __ ] excellent and
- 22:15um Spiel but at a certain point Steven was like oh what am I doing does anyone
- 22:20even want to watch a movie about you know aliens with a you know a musical D
- 22:24key and uh he goes I'll just pop over to the the other set yep yeah we do two out
- 22:30of three people do according to this recently ped podcast hosts um pop over
- 22:36to uh to elri and see what my buddy George is doing saw him making Star Wars
- 22:42and was like no I want to make this and George was like no no no I'm sure your
- 22:47movie will do just as well tell you what let's swap back end points I give you
- 22:5110% of Star Wars and you give me 10% of Close Encounters H and that's why George
- 22:57luas billion and why Steven Spielberg is worth $3.7
- 23:04billion yeah I just looked and Disney did in fact purchase lucasfilm ilm and
- 23:09Skywalker sound for $4 billion then what where's he getting his money from then
- 23:13from from the deal I guess yeah but he donated it all he must have gotten so
- 23:20much Cold Hard Cash accumulated over the years and he probably still gets it must be
- 23:27Investments you still get royalties don't know that you get royalties once
- 23:31you sell the IP yeah fair enough I mean I I don't know what they worked
- 23:37out turns out we're not entertainment law who would have thought no we're not
- 23:42we're not technically entertainment industry lawyers number three on the
- 23:45list Oprah Winfrey 2.8 billion he's richer than Oprah that's interesting
- 23:50yeah and then Oprah is marginally richer than um Michael Jordan who's number four
- 23:551.7 billion then there's one of the Kardashians then there's David Copperfield hate that
- 24:02one of theard Copperfield Yeah and then Puff
- 24:06Daddy Puff Daddy well he's still doing stuff and he's actually doing stuff sort
- 24:12of it's music so and that's coming from a
- 24:18musician just don't need that endorsement yeah no I just I'm I'm on
- 24:23board with the I mean musicians you know it be nice to make a living but you
- 24:27don't need to be that [ __ ] Rich come on guys what is Puff Daddy's got 825
- 24:34million it's uh it's nothing to snigger at I wouldn't wouldn't sorry what did
- 24:38you say do we have to beep snigger no no no no we've just been down this road
- 24:43before you don't need much more than that so i' I'd be happy with that be
- 24:47happy with like a quarter of that yeah a 10th well I'll have the rest then when
- 24:52do we start making that type of money oh soon we have to have done it by now yeah
- 24:57think you have to like have stuff like bubbling away on the stove at some point
- 25:01think we do at some point we're going to be approached by some big Corporation
- 25:05they're going to offer to buy the show off us that's I mean that's been my goal
- 25:08this whole time true and we sell out right away if there's one thing I've
- 25:12always learned is always take the first offer yes Snapchat always take the first
- 25:17offer you will never be worth that again yeah um I watched a movie last
- 25:23night and it was glor before you tell us about his movie is is there any jingle
- 25:29we need to play before you tell us about this movie of course there is well Nick
- 25:34Cage walked into the room and he asked of his manager is there any Nick Cage
- 25:39news Nick Cage's manager turned to Nick Cage and said of course there's Nick Cage
- 25:45news Nick Cage is the biggest movie star in the whole wide world and things are
- 25:50only going to get bigger now take a look at this script
- 25:54right here it's about a manm made of wicker
- 25:59so this film stars obviously Nick Cage and it's a film I've been wanting to
- 26:04watch for a very long time when I I when I first saw the trailer for it I was
- 26:09like [ __ ] yeah and it came out on shutter this month which is the horror
- 26:15streaming service we subscribe to it's called the film is called Mandy and it
- 26:20is a story of a couple who live out in
- 26:23the woods and an evil cult uh attempts to
- 26:29take his wife take Nicholas Cage's wife and he uh seeks revenge he wants none of
- 26:35that he wants none of that exactly so well I'd uh I'd watch it it is directed
- 26:41by uh what's the gentleman's name it's the guy who did Bey on the black rainbow
- 26:46um oh Christ right so right off the bat
- 26:50uh yeah yeah so it was a Trippy psychedelic nightmare was it it's
- 26:55[ __ ] wonderful yeah the director is Panos cosmatos is his
- 27:01name Y and uh it is a [ __ ] nightmare
- 27:07of like just it's like watching imagine
- 27:12you had a dream when Nick Cage was like trying to hunt down and kill [ __ ] an
- 27:18evil cult and like actual demons and it was all like it looked like everything was pink
- 27:24and and blue and and H it's like we got like halfway through it and Jenna said
- 27:30to me this is what Rob Zombie wishes his films were
- 27:35like yeah yeah well beyond the black rainbow was visually stunning but it was
- 27:41a little slow paced was this one an improvement did this go a little bit
- 27:46more mainstream in its pacing and story structure I think so yeah I mean it is a
- 27:51bit slow but I was just so kind of enamored with it that I maybe didn't
- 27:56notice so I mean you may have you know your mileage may vary listeners but I
- 28:02just really loved it so I mean check it out it it's violent and gory so if
- 28:08that's not your thing maybe don't but uh if if you're looking for something
- 28:12different uh with a you know kind of a Revenge horror kind of theme [ __ ]
- 28:19check it out it's great it's got some weird [ __ ] in there though it's kind of
- 28:23like like a little bit David Lynch I guess although the plot makes more sense
- 28:29than I think a David Lynch film generally does so yeah yeah yeah yeah
- 28:32starting to talk me out of it come on okay uh well I'm trying to think what else can I
- 28:39compare it to it's just really like I said it just feels like you're watching
- 28:43a a nightmare uh yeah I'm in you know and there's you know there's lights
- 28:48where there shouldn't be lights but you just kind of like it doesn't matter you
- 28:51know that kind of thing like Evil Dead almost Spotlight in the woods with smoke
- 28:55ex there's a lot of that like literally there is a lot of that and yeah I loved
- 29:00it you know and then you know someone just standing there looking at standing
- 29:05admiring a car that's on fire for no reason other than when they fight in
- 29:09front of the car it's going to be [ __ ] awesome and if you've ever
- 29:13wanted to see Nicholas Cage have a chainsaw fight with another guy I this
- 29:17is the film for you just watch the movie Dan I'm buying a ticket right now just
- 29:22do it that's great no no I will put that on top of my list I watched a horror
- 29:25movie this week called the farm have you heard of that Farm sounds riveting yeah
- 29:30look actually it had all the Hallmarks of a good movie but it wasn't a good
- 29:35movie um yeah and you could tell that the guys that made this had had good
- 29:41taste in in movies you know like they they'd stolen from the best you know
- 29:46this was like a little bit House of a Thousand Corpses a little bit Texas
- 29:50chains Massacre um yeah a little bit hosel not that hostel is the best but
- 29:55you know like it was just it had a lot a lot going for it but in the end it kind
- 29:59of just fell apart damn yeah yeah [ __ ] beautifully shot though it's
- 30:06about these people this couple it's like nice couple who are on a road trip
- 30:10through uh through the the desert somewhere in the middle of America um
- 30:14and they stop at this BNB where they're
- 30:18um accosted and uh put into this Farm where human beings are farmed like farm
- 30:25animals by other human beings in farm masks nice yeah so like it's got good
- 30:32imagery and it's beautifully shot and um there's some you know some some good
- 30:36some good gory bits but uh doesn't really give you anything that I'm sure
- 30:40in a year's time I'll be like what was the name of that movie I think I saw a
- 30:44movie did I did I watch it or did I just see a trailer you know what I mean it's
- 30:48just not going to just not going to stick in my mind yeah speaking of
- 30:52trailers though oh yes what trailer did we all watch that I didn't realize that
- 30:59I'm making a new Hellboy yes they are they have and I was excited about it
- 31:04until I saw the trailer um so this is is this a sequel
- 31:10that they're pretending is like a direct sequel or they pretending a reboot cuz
- 31:14I'm confused it looks like a reboot cuz it looks [ __ ] nothing nothing like
- 31:19the other movies tonally speaking but but I know but they're trying to make
- 31:23Hellboy look like the the other Hellboy well that's what he looks like I think
- 31:27the problem that the problem is that Ron pman just looks like Hellboy looks so
- 31:31it's going to seem like that but is it just me or I mean I found this too
- 31:38distracting to notice other things in the trailer the [ __ ] Prosthetics look
- 31:43awful oh his little hand what the [ __ ] it's oh there's so many little things
- 31:47about it that little things that it just we also admit they picked the wrong
- 31:53music for that trailer oh man it looks like they're trying to make a parody
- 31:56film I think somebody watched Daredevil
- 31:59and uh not Daredevil [ __ ] Deadpool and um was taking notes even to the
- 32:06point where they're like little hands are hilarious he's he doesn't have a
- 32:10little and I know that it's just it's a result of they've put two like [ __ ]
- 32:14Dave Harbor right it's the guy from Strang things Dave Harbor the guy plays
- 32:18sheriff for listeners who don't know right he's he he's he's a good size and
- 32:23and shape to to kind of you know he could have been Hellboy but they've put
- 32:26so much [ __ ] latex on him like he doesn't even look it doesn't move when
- 32:32he talks like it looks awful like if you look at look at photos of it it looks it
- 32:38looks really bad and maybe they rushed the trailer and they haven't finished
- 32:42all the effects and it'll look good by the time comes out but they've built him
- 32:45up so much and he's got the big the big right hand the big stone hand that
- 32:47Hellboy has but he's got this little his other hand's normal but they've built
- 32:51him up so much it looks ridiculous it looks like he's got a little little hand
- 32:55instead of one big hand like it's so
- 33:00weird it it looks like an odd film looks very odd I I was still
- 33:05curious to to give it a watch when it comes out but I'm going to watch it
- 33:09obviously yeah because it's Hellboy I love Hellboy but I'm just not EXC but
- 33:15then maybe that's good cuz usually you know if I get too excited about
- 33:20something it sucks so maybe this will pleasantly surprise me also true also
- 33:24true then again the first one the G Del tor was so good I mean it isn't it isn't
- 33:30fantastic it's not per it's no Perfect film that's for sure but it is Thoroughly
- 33:36enjoyable yeah now Matt you did bring up Evil Dead earlier oh yeah I do that from
- 33:42both we've both given money to the Evil Dead Kickstarter yes have you seen the
- 33:47fact that there's still a slim chance we might get our game yeah we talked to the
- 33:52company that the Name Escapes me the company that is potentially taking it over at packs
- 33:59unplugged ah you did yes so it's not not definite but there is a chance that the
- 34:05company that makes there's another I think there's an Army of Darkness board
- 34:09game and they make the new Buffy board game I'm blanking on the name of the
- 34:12company but uh um I know it's jzo and lavender who are the people behind it
- 34:19okay well they're they're potentially going to take over and try and get the
- 34:22games made yeah so have you heard what they're trying to do no no no actually
- 34:27spefic they're going to be doing another Kickstarter we already back to
- 34:32Kickstarter yeah yeah yeah but no no no you don't have to back anything for this
- 34:36one if this Kickstarter successful everyone will get a copy of the game
- 34:40okay so they're asking for so much money from this round of kickstarters that
- 34:45they can also cover the costs already incurred is that what you're saying yes
- 34:50you may have to pay the shipping but basically they're doing it so they're
- 34:53making no profit at all that's yeah that's that okay I knew is definitely not a good
- 35:00model no it's a terrible model they're just trying to do right by the people
- 35:04who gave a lot of money to yeah sounds familiar Goos I hope [ __ ] enjoy your
- 35:10I summon t-shirts that's all I'm going to say [ __ ] space go man that guy I mean
- 35:16look I'm sure he didn't mean for this to happen but what a disaster that
- 35:20Kickstarter was he could send me my [ __ ] dice I got my dice yeah you got
- 35:25your dice no one out of America got dice really and they're actually going to be
- 35:30auctioning them off next year what a joke oh Matt I'm going to jack up the price budy
- 35:36against I can understand look the game failed that I understand but the dice is
- 35:42something I actually paid for that you have yes just ship them to you you can ship them to
- 35:47me yeah like so I I mean we haven't really explained to the listeners they
- 35:52may not know there was a there's a Kickstarter years ago now for uh evil
- 35:57Evil Dead 2 board game and Terminator 2 yeah and a Terminator board game and
- 36:03both of those well and and a howling one
- 36:05as well oh the howling the yeah just for howling he he's going to space goat was
- 36:12going to come and howl at you no they um they got they got the licenses for those
- 36:15films and um the werewolf movies from the 80s yes yeah yeah that's the one wow
- 36:22okay um and they ran kickstarters for them but they ran all the kickstarters
- 36:28very close together and never actually I guess got any of the games finished and
- 36:33shipped out and then they just went bankrupt and nobody's getting anything
- 36:38basically and I think the thing that's pissing a lot of people off including me
- 36:42the most is the fact that they haven't come out and said anything to say look
- 36:46sorry hear like they they had six months
- 36:50ago they attempted to run uh another funding round on some platform where you
- 36:57could just go and invest like they were looking for you know kind of like Angel
- 37:00Investors on this platform uh and they announced it to they said there was
- 37:05there was a big surprise coming and then everyone got all excited because they're
- 37:08like oh we're finally going to get our [ __ ] games what a surprise and then
- 37:11they're like no we need more money and so they they said oh we're looking for
- 37:14investors so they put up this thing and then the whole thing was overrun with
- 37:19with posts from people who back the kickstarter saying don't invest in this
- 37:22company they're [ __ ] full of [ __ ] they've gone bankrupt and so that that
- 37:27went nowhere and then they've been absolutely silent since then mhm well no
- 37:32I came out and said sorry it didn't quite work we'll be back in a couple of
- 37:35weeks and that was I think May or something this year but yeah if they just came out and
- 37:42went look sorry things went wrong sorry just sorry clearly and send
- 37:47me my dice well then the I mean we shouldn't I don't want to [ __ ] it the
- 37:53the head of space goat was was embroiled in some sort of sexual harassment
- 37:56Scandal too so I'm sure that didn't help Sean whoa I didn't even know that I I
- 38:03wasn't going to name him but all right well it's easy to work out I didn't know
- 38:07I didn't actually know that oh really yeah no that was part of the negative
- 38:11feedback on the their funding request too oh if if if we get the game
- 38:18wonderful like it's fantastic so all of this is yeah they're going to make a a
- 38:22new uh new they're going to make a new game and if this gets funing everyone
- 38:25who got a copy they have to pay for shipping and they're going to ship out a
- 38:28game okay all right well speaking of funding if you'd like to support this
- 38:34show you can head to patreon.com multip nerg and we promise not to go bankrupt
- 38:38actually I shouldn't promise that I guess that's not something you can
- 38:42promise Matt that's a good point I promise we promise bankrupt if we want
- 38:45to we promise we'll do our best not to go bankrupt he the day one person sues
- 38:49us and it will come yeah we're [ __ ] all right well you have no money
- 38:55to help us save up for the potential legal fees in future the inevitable
- 38:59legal fees required in future head to podcast no head to patreon.com nerdgasm
- 39:05uh for little as $1 a month you can support the show and then for five bucks
- 39:08a month you get the show early and for 10 bucks a month you get the Afterparty
- 39:12which is an extra 20 minutes every week of us Chan well 10 to 20 minutes I
- 39:16shouldn't I'm going to get sued if I'm if I'm too inaccurate with my
- 39:21description uh and if you want to support the show but you don't like
- 39:24spending money on things that's fine head to whatever soft where you are
- 39:28listening to this in right now and give us a positive review five stars please
- 39:31anything less just don't worry about it definitely don't wor leave a review
- 39:37that says this is a worthless unfunny podcast as someone did in the past yeah
- 39:43just don't bother just don't bother cuz he would have had to listened to enough
- 39:46of the episode to get to the part where Matt gives out our uh you know contact
- 39:52details and ask sure the review well I the the gentleman who left that review
- 39:58if you look at his CU you can do this on iTunes and also I was I was I was
- 40:03incensed when I saw it so obviously I was like who the [ __ ] is this gu guy
- 40:07[ __ ] [ __ ] so I clicked through and I was looking at his other reviews he's
- 40:11left a lot of onear reviews on a lot of podcasts I think nothing pleases this
- 40:16gentleman so except probably I bet please him because he's a Jesus okay you
- 40:22can't say that well I'll cut it out then slander now that's that we're definitely
- 40:27going to get sued for that yeah that's definitely grounds for being sued we
- 40:30name this episode Chiller 7 is a no we canot we can we just have to
- 40:37always beep the word in the title or beep his name one
- 40:42of the two so we've got some followup yeah we've got some followup um do you
- 40:48guys remember talking uh 3 years ago about uh a woman who married the ghost
- 40:54of a pirate I do vaguely remember that yes yeah unfortunately they've split up
- 41:00I'm shocked oh no I'm shocked yeah um
- 41:04she realized actually that um that he was just using
- 41:09her for for what for what I'm glad you asked I'm glad you asked um using her
- 41:15for Life Energy to allow him to become
- 41:19corporeal on this plan of existence right you see if you let a ghost get
- 41:25close enough to you it can start feeding off your energy according to this woman
- 41:30and um and that's what uh that's what Captain Jack was doing to her she had
- 41:35genuine but uh in the video the the photo which I'm guessing is the standing
- 41:40for the ghost she's going to marry it's Jack Sparrow yeah yeah yeah I think
- 41:46that's who she was imagining when she uh made all this [ __ ] up I think possibly
- 41:53she she discovered that no one was paying any attention to her anymore and
- 41:56so she decided to uh MH to to do this yes well she's been in hospital uh
- 42:02because she's just had no energy uh right since Captain Jack has been uh
- 42:07draining it um I'm sure the media attention has re-energized her somewhat
- 42:12yeah but unfort these two kids can't make it no one can and and just like
- 42:17just like every abusive husband I mean he's been really trying to make sure
- 42:21that she couldn't leave him um so she said this quote he did everything thing
- 42:27he possibly could to prevent me from finding out what he was really doing
- 42:31like if I was talking to someone the call would drop out if I'd had a bad day
- 42:34and I was going to meet up with a friend uh then suddenly that friend didn't want
- 42:38to meet me unquote so I think possibly people were hanging
- 42:44up and ghosting yeah yeah that's right in the in the in in the social sense
- 42:50yeah yeah that's right yeah because she sh about her 300y old
- 42:56husband have you guys heard of orbiting uh is that where you kind of
- 43:01just walk around someone in a circle sort of it's when you do that but online
- 43:06so orbiting is like you know ghosting is when you just totally [ __ ] ignore
- 43:11someone online right sure that you that you previously have been paying
- 43:14attention to orbiting is when you stop talking to them but keep liking their
- 43:19posts so they know you're still there looking but you're not actually saying
- 43:25anything that's orbiting yeah yeah that's I I do that to
- 43:30everyone yeah right in case you're wondering people I'm not orbiting you
- 43:34that's just how I interact with hum yeah I don't necessarily want to sit and chat
- 43:37but I do want you to know that I still like you yes yeah that applies to everyone I'm
- 43:43not I'm not the most social person it's not you it's me that's well it's not
- 43:49just you it's this woman as well Amanda Sparrow so um she's uh yeah she not only
- 43:56has to get a divorce legally though she has to also get an
- 44:00exorcism uh obviously yeah of course and she's gone on to say this quote God
- 44:06isn't going to protect me from my own stupidity but love and light is more
- 44:10powerful than the darkness and the evil so I do trust that God will protect me
- 44:14from any serious damage now that I've taken a step back I do love him but I
- 44:20love me more quote well good I'm glad she figured it
- 44:26out in the end that's right happy hopefully she'll
- 44:30find a better ghost husband next time if you could marry the ghost of of somebody
- 44:35who would it be Carrie Fisher Okay can I can I tell a
- 44:42quick story that was almost a faux par but wasn't go on so to play the jingle
- 44:47no no no it's not a racial faux par it's just uh just a regular kind I was um I
- 44:53was a friend's wedding recently and uh they it's a friend from Australia who
- 44:57lives here in Singapore and so there was a bunch of Aussies flew in for the uh
- 45:01for the day and so I was obviously getting on with them pretty well and uh
- 45:05one of them was talking about blah blah blah blah my second wife um right and he
- 45:10said something about his first wife not being there and as soon as he said that
- 45:15H rocketed over from the other side of the room and just like quickly put
- 45:19herself in between him and I and did the biggest subject change that you could
- 45:24possibly imagine and then later in the car she was like oh by the way his first
- 45:28wife didn't leave him she died and she's like and I and I knew you
- 45:34were going to be like yeah [ __ ] high five [ __ ] divorce People First Wives at
- 45:41Hunts and she was right I would you you don't deserve
- 45:48way yeah yeah saved your ass yeah although that would have been a great
- 45:53story I mean it still is a great story so excuse me Luke you'd marry the ghost of
- 46:00Carrie Fisher but would you have married the human being of Carrie Fisher when
- 46:04she was still alive or are you hoping that the ghost of krie Fisher is like
- 46:07Carrie fiser at 19 years of age I I still even Carrie fiser at the towards
- 46:13the end yep toward not at the end towards not at the end at the end's
- 46:18getting a bit weird because she was in hospital dying like yeah yeah so like um
- 46:24what's that movie she was in with Rick m
- 46:28uh cuz I I thought by even that era she was kind of past past me being
- 46:35interested in it scream share medication we'd get along
- 46:40scream three carry Fisher where she's just smoking it up in the [ __ ] yes
- 46:44archives of the film uh let's be honest though not everyone brought their aame to Scream
- 46:503 I liked that movie at including the writers yes I liked it at the time
- 46:57yeah I liked it at the time too I don't remember Scream 3 what happens in that
- 47:01one that's the one where her
- 47:05brother don't remember that she has her brother yeah sorry spoilers for Scream 3
- 47:11if you haven't watched that film that came out an actress who got gang raped by a bunch of
- 47:17producers Scream 3 [ __ ] what am I thinking
- 47:22of I have no idea scen is more is about the same thing the others are about a
- 47:27guy in the ghost face mask killing people and it turns out that's Sydney's
- 47:31brother at the end and again sorry spoilers and then it's got you know all
- 47:38the same people from the other films well then how come there's an article
- 47:41here how come when I Google Scream 3 gang rape it comes up Scream 3
- 47:45foreshadowed Hollywoods #me too movement oh you know what it maybe maybe that did
- 47:49happen as a subplot I just didn't pay attention to that plot CU you know the
- 47:53murder was more interesting I don't know maybe possible possible I don't know
- 47:58what you're trying to say by that that I was like more interested in the rape I'm
- 48:03not trying to I'm not trying to say anything again Jesus maybe we all need to go back
- 48:09and watch this movie man I do not come across well in this episode at all I
- 48:12think Dan Dan's gagging to watch it I'm definitely going to watch it
- 48:18again watch it every Friday yeah you didn't remember there was any murder in
- 48:23it though strange I'm not saying I don't remember Ghost Face Killer murdering anyone know
- 48:30I know I know speaking of murderer mhm
- 48:34oh yeah sure um M have you ever made a murderer not that I'm aware of I guess
- 48:41it's possible no I don't think I have I do tend to uh have odd interactions with
- 48:45people sometimes yeah look we we have talked uh a little bit lately about
- 48:51making a murderous season 2 um you know it's high points and low points mhm it's
- 48:56a very interesting series but it is also incredibly
- 49:00sensationalist um to the point now where and I I am surprised it took this long
- 49:04but uh the lawsuits are are starting to roll in now people they didn't the first
- 49:10season somehow now they finally like [ __ ] you painted incredibly poorly by
- 49:17this documentary um are are finally just saying uh yeah this is
- 49:23deformation yes yeah yeah
- 49:27well so curn right the sheriff's deputy
- 49:32is Deputy I think look and and and if you only watch making a murderer
- 49:36especially the first season and you don't read anything else about it then
- 49:39yeah you'll be like yeah that guy's a [ __ ] and he deserves everything he got
- 49:43but um what what making a murderer leave out of both seasons is the overwhelming evidence
- 49:50that you know made Court after court and judge after judge Steve Avery murdered
- 49:55yeah what's name right yeah yeah yes so it's not as clear-cut as they make it
- 50:02appear in the uh in the documentary and yeah um also the idea that that these
- 50:09small town cops managed to pull off such a convoluted conspiracy he a a little
- 50:16Fetch and also if they wanted to get this guy they just would have shot
- 50:20him well then the the it can you play the [ __ ] crimes
- 50:25jingle show play it again where is it while the other brothers are doing up
- 50:32Crim only like Kathleen zelner right his Steve 's new attorney her job is to get
- 50:37him out of prison and she's trying really hard to do that but I just cannot
- 50:40make sense of any of this [ __ ] Theory right that that yeah okay so now they're
- 50:47saying Bobby dassy [ __ ] killed her so how are the cops involved now then like
- 50:53what oh because they just wanted Steve Avery to make this lawsuit against him
- 50:56go I I I don't know man this is getting [ __ ] convoluted yeah maybe he just killed her
- 51:02yeah and look the biggest thing that they're trying to go for because it's
- 51:05jury is reasonable doubt and if they try and spin that enough if there's enough
- 51:10doubt enough people seen this show it can actually turn juries to not be able
- 51:14to make a decision right absolutely yeah see and I mean look it's it's possible
- 51:20he didn't maybe he didn't also I don't think it I don't think it happened the
- 51:25way that the documentary making out where it definitely didn't happen like
- 51:29that you have to make so many massive assumptions in order to believe this
- 51:34story and I'm not saying that the story that the prosecutors came out with is
- 51:37the full and correct and true story I'm not saying that because you know when
- 51:40you're doing an investigation you just bring forth the facts that are going to
- 51:44prove your case right yes and once you commit to a a you're saying this guy did
- 51:49it right you're going get one shot at it right so you've got to [ __ ] make it
- 51:52count so like if he gets out that's it case is done
- 51:57like they're not going to arrest anyone else in theory right yeah well they're
- 52:02going to stop looking right exactly like if if he wasn't found
- 52:07guilty they don't get to go oh maybe it was this guy you know what I mean so
- 52:10they they had to convict him at that point well they they can if they do
- 52:15think it is someone else I'm not sure that's the case but they only try to no
- 52:20no you can't try the same person for the same crime twice but you can try other
- 52:25people you can't you're well you can't try someone for
- 52:30the same crime you've already incarcerated someone for who's currently
- 52:35still incarcerated you can't be like this other guy might have done it too
- 52:39put him in jail as well like for example the West Memphis 3 right they're out now
- 52:43but they were still guilty as far as the law is concerned they can't now convict
- 52:47someone else of those murders as far as I'm aware it's not possible the case is
- 52:51cor well yeah because they found someone who did it
- 52:57but if someone's found guilty then they can accuse someone else okay oh I see
- 53:01what you're saying I see what you're saying yeah but someone was found guilty
- 53:05correct Steven A oh so you're saying if if he gets exonerated like officially
- 53:10they could yeah yeah okay fair enough could but why would they well ex if they
- 53:14don't think yeah they're not going to go well that one didn't work we'll just pick this
- 53:19guy man I think most of these people wish they just hadn't even
- 53:24[ __ ] like done anything to let this
- 53:29get any attention you know what I mean like like in season 2 is all about the
- 53:33the retrials and the um the the appeals and stuff and I bet the da of of you
- 53:40know manok county is just now going [ __ ] I should have just let him have their
- 53:43[ __ ] appeal because like now I just look like a [ __ ]
- 53:48idiot yeah yeah they they're they're smearing people left Ryan Center but
- 53:53that's because they're trying to get him out of prison like but I still find it
- 53:56weird like if the cops were out to get Avery why would they murder someone
- 54:00frame him for the murder when they could just murder him I think the the they're
- 54:04not saying that because that's ridiculous I think what they're trying
- 54:06to imply now is that she was murdered by somebody and the cops were just like
- 54:10let's just say he did it which is also ridiculous
- 54:15like I mean it's going to take a lot to convince me of that you know and they've
- 54:21not done a good job because after the first season I might have been convinced
- 54:27if if there'd been a little like I was like I was like oh okay wow what a what
- 54:31a what a what a thing to have happened after the second season I'm like they've
- 54:35got no [ __ ] idea they're just trying to get him out of prison they're all
- 54:37over the place it's a mess now it's just because they went everyone like the
- 54:41first one we can just make a sick one and make more money like it's still
- 54:44fascinating to me but also I'm just like everyone's making money off of this yeah
- 54:49no I agree lawers I dipped back into the staircase too um this week although I
- 54:55haven't watched the the episode so no spoilers please um cuz there's three
- 55:00episodes if if if you had watched it previously You Haven't Seen the Last 3
- 55:04hours of it uh so that's that's where I was at I do think it's a little cheeky
- 55:08that Netflix can take a show made in 2005 and call it a Netflix original
- 55:13because they put a little bit on the end they just put a couple episodes on the
- 55:16end there yeah but uh Netflix do that with a lot of shows that's a good series
- 55:21though this day yeah it really is and I really really enjoyed it when I was
- 55:24watching it the first time it um even better than making a murder I think in
- 55:29terms of just watching how how the police put a case together and how you
- 55:35have to defend yourself um which is really good for that and I actually
- 55:40although I've got one more episode to go but I'll say this I don't know if he did
- 55:44it or not I'm I'm like I just don't know
- 55:48I'm I'm I'm with you there yeah no idea I mean I want to think he didn't because
- 55:54like he's a good dad you know I mean sure and he seems like a nice guy but
- 55:59like if he [ __ ] didn't then I don't know who [ __ ] did because there is
- 56:02again I I'm looking this this if I tell you stuff that's not in
- 56:07the documentary at all is that going to spoil it for you that's fine it's just a
- 56:11it's just a fact this is I I'll just tell you one fact that is completely
- 56:14left out of the whole series yeah they were
- 56:18in I think 400,000 worth of credit card debt that's just a fact that that is
- 56:24left out of the documentary yeah yeah they're not now she she was insured just
- 56:31saying right just saying okay sure I like how they leave out like little
- 56:36facts like that yeah I mean I'm not saying he did it I'm just saying that's
- 56:40a fact that is left out of the yeah yeah just just
- 56:44saying yeah I mean it's it's it's like the it's like the fact that they left
- 56:48out of making a murderer that because you know the whole thing and especially
- 56:52the second season is all about how um Brendan dass's confession was coerced
- 56:58right and it's like no he confessed and it's like yeah he probably was coerced
- 57:03into confessing cuz actually that's how you get a confession that's what cops do
- 57:06to get you to confess nobody wants to confess they do trick you into think
- 57:10trick you into saying it and what they what they leave out of that whole series
- 57:16one and two is that there was evidence that they only know about
- 57:22because of things he confessed yes and they focus on in the documentary I
- 57:27noticed that they focus on things that uh that don't make sense
- 57:32like they say oh they only got they only know that she was raped because he told
- 57:35them that but then the only the only reason they think she was raped at all
- 57:39is because he said that so that's that's like a it's just a
- 57:43circle but there are other things that he said like for example why the car was
- 57:47moved and and just certain other little things that that he said that I mean and
- 57:51look [ __ ] I wasn't there so I have no idea but there are the little facts that he
- 57:56gave them that were true that that make him look more guilty and little
- 58:01connections like the fact that she was you know she she was handcuffed to the
- 58:06to the bed right right like and he was the one who brought up that they were
- 58:10handcuffs you know and that hadn't been part of it yet and then also there was
- 58:14apparently a drawing up in uh Steven Avery's cell when he was in prison of
- 58:18The Sex Dungeon that he planned to make when he got back to um torture and rape
- 58:22women like they didn't mention that one
- 58:27there are police reports uh from from a time when he he sexually assaulted a
- 58:33cousin of his I think or a niece actually maybe so he's not definitely
- 58:38not a harmless kind of yeah and they
- 58:42really play down the time that she as in she the victim said that she didn't want
- 58:48to go back to his property because he' opened the door to her in the nude yeah
- 58:52that's right yeah you know they really like and just stepped out of the shower
- 58:57and just happened to [ __ ] have his dick in his hand when he opened the door
- 59:01see see when I've opened the door when I've just got out a shower I still have
- 59:05at least a towel around me yeah I don't really walk up but I've seen how you
- 59:09wear a towel there's a picture of it in my Snapchat uh there is and uh you know
- 59:14still wearing one that's what I imagine Steve Avery looked like when he opened
- 59:17that door exactly and look listeners I'm not I'm not a guilter I have no [ __ ]
- 59:22idea if he did it or not I have no idea no neither do I
- 59:27yeah but I'm but neither do you listener neither do you no and the documentary
- 59:32makers certainly seem to want to make you think he's not guilty at any cost
- 59:38you do not might know you do not have enough information to know get almost
- 59:43maybe Avery listens to this podcast and he would know you like to listen to
- 59:46podcasts in prison I don't think you are you're not the internet I think you are
- 59:50these days the internet surely no no it depends what level of
- 59:54prison you're in someone could play raped and murdered somebody he's in maximum
- 1:00:00security allegedly allegedly allegedly yeah no wait we don't have to say
- 1:00:05allegedly we don't we don't have to say allegedly he has been convicted oh yeah
- 1:00:09true we can't be sued for it at we we know it to be true as far as far as we
- 1:00:12know it's true so um we've just had Christmas well we haven't actually
- 1:00:17Christmas is day after tomorrow but if you're listening to this uh it's just
- 1:00:20been Christmas uh last week was a Christmas episode hope that that brought
- 1:00:23you some holiday cheer got a couple of bit of follow to Christmas news mhm yeah
- 1:00:29got couple couple of things um so there's one there's one here that's just
- 1:00:34I I find this funny um there's a town in Sweden that every single year build a
- 1:00:39huge wicker goat in the center of town yeah this thing's [ __ ] awesome yeah
- 1:00:45it looks [ __ ] gnarly and uh every single year vandals Burn It To The
- 1:00:51Ground Jesus uh and if you were wondering whether this year was an ex
- 1:00:57no it was not they burned this [ __ ] down they not have security for this
- 1:01:01thing now well there's a fence around it but uh maybe someone shot a flaming
- 1:01:05arrow into it that's just a if you haven't looked they've got
- 1:01:10video they've got video for when it happened a couple years ago and all it
- 1:01:14is is a bunch of people run across the road set on fire and run
- 1:01:17away oh I can there's people with flaming somethings in this photo from the look of it
- 1:01:24yeah yeah and this looks like a professionally taken photo like what is
- 1:01:30oh anyway oh man thing goes up so good
- 1:01:35look are you watching the video yes I [Music]
- 1:01:39am oh my God just so metal about being
- 1:01:43in Scandinavia and burning a [ __ ] you turn the camera turns around
- 1:01:49there's a church on fire yeah what they need to do is stop this
- 1:01:54like the there 27 so this is tradition they need to turn this into an event
- 1:01:58where it just yes they set it on fire it's almost like this this is the
- 1:02:02tradition now yeah imagine burn that big goat if it didn't get burned down it
- 1:02:07would be a disaster yeah that's right what are we going to do with this
- 1:02:13goat 27 years of this yeah you think after 27 years I would
- 1:02:19come up with an idea to stop it yeah what'll we do I build bu build the
- 1:02:25goat I don't know why they talk like that that's great no no no I want to
- 1:02:29hear more of that Swedish accent build the G and then see what
- 1:02:37happens but that's not all for Christmas news no there's
- 1:02:43been Christmas has been ruined for a group of children forever forever for
- 1:02:49ever in a in a Russian School uh they were performing a a play
- 1:02:55I believe uh and one of the characters in the play was uh their version of
- 1:03:02Santa Claus uh named I'm trying to think of the name his name is dead Moro which
- 1:03:09means oh yeah dead Moro yes yeah grand grandfather Christmas or grandfather
- 1:03:14Frost yes so he basically looks like Santa Claus it's it's their Santa Claus
- 1:03:19he is Santa in fact the the main reason they don't mention in this article but I
- 1:03:23have a Russian friend who told me that um during the Soviet Union which was um
- 1:03:28trying to be completely secular they outlawed all Christian iconography
- 1:03:32including Santa Claus oh there you go so basically they just they just
- 1:03:37have Captain winter right
- 1:03:41right grandfather anual Gift Giver yeah well they uh they employed the services
- 1:03:48of a a gentleman a 67y old gentleman named Valerie tateno to uh to portray
- 1:03:54father Frost uh and in the middle of the play he
- 1:03:59collapsed of a heart attack and died and all of the children were laughing
- 1:04:03because they thought it was hilarious until it wasn't hilarious anymore until
- 1:04:07he didn't get back up because they had to rush him away in a hospital but he he
- 1:04:11was dead so yeah but it says a woman who was also in the play dressed as a clown
- 1:04:16rushed over and what kind of [ __ ] Nativity Play is [Laughter]
- 1:04:21this they do things different Al ever had a clown M they do things differently in
- 1:04:27Russia uh that they do Merry Christmas
- 1:04:33kids terrifying never enjoy Christmas ever again I wonder if they explained the
- 1:04:39situation to the kids or if they just said oh he's he's he's gone to uh I
- 1:04:45don't know where they were going to say he's gone [ __ ] Santa Heaven yeah I
- 1:04:49think they going to say they yeah they took him away and then he got better
- 1:04:51it's Russia man they probably like uh he is now living and work in Camp in Gulag
- 1:04:57in Siberia Santa is in good place don't worry about Santa yeah no more Santa
- 1:05:02don't ask too many questions eat your gr get back in the
- 1:05:09breadline wait can we be sued by Russia I don't want to be sued by Putin [ __ ]
- 1:05:13that I don't think they by them they can they would just come after you they'll
- 1:05:17just troll your uh Facebook and convince you to vote in people that you don't
- 1:05:22want as your government that's how they if I start talking about making America
- 1:05:26great again you know someone's G to me yeah apparently well I hope everybody
- 1:05:33had a lovely Christmas and that includes obviously the two of you and all of our listeners
- 1:05:38and uh it's coming up with the new year we're going to take a little bit of a
- 1:05:41break I think is that we should probably announce that if that's if that's oh
- 1:05:44yeah yeah yeah yeah I think we're going to miss one week MH well yeah we'll
- 1:05:49we'll miss as many weeks as as we have to to get back on track but if you're
- 1:05:52worried that there's not going to be a New Year's Eve party you're wrong

- 1:06:01happening I think it's happening right now oh everybody's so
