- 0:07Speaker 1: This is Chuck's Cantina podcast where anything and everything is
- 0:13Speaker 1: up for discussion, and now here's your barman, Chuck O'Donnell.
- 0:18Speaker 2: I'm hearing you as long as you're hearing me, and
- 0:20Speaker 2: I'm not hearing an echo on myself.
- 0:22Speaker 3: I think we're all good.
- 0:23Speaker 4: You know, I can hear yourself talk.
- 0:25Speaker 3: I mean, who does.
- 0:27Speaker 4: I don't I get like in voice because I'm trying
- 0:30Speaker 4: to get into that. But like with voice acting, like
- 0:32Speaker 4: other podcasts like they always like want to have their
- 0:34Speaker 4: their volume and stuff like in their ears. I'm just
- 0:36Speaker 4: like no, I just like I just watch the soundbar
- 0:41Speaker 4: as long as as long as the guests can hear
- 0:43Speaker 4: me and I can see my sound boars. No, the
- 0:45Speaker 4: red I'm good. One of my one of my his
- 0:49Speaker 4: his nickname is O. G. Patron, That's that's what his
- 0:52Speaker 4: nickname is in my show. He has it like that
- 0:55Speaker 4: and I'm like, how does it not drive you crazy?
- 0:56Speaker 4: And he goes you just you just you just get
- 0:58Speaker 4: used to it.
- 0:58Speaker 2: I'm like, no, with the virtual stuff, yeah, I mean
- 1:03Speaker 2: when it's in house. I like it when we're all
- 1:05Speaker 2: talking amongst each other and we can all hear each other,
- 1:07Speaker 2: right head phones correctly, but yeah, digitally, it's just there's
- 1:11Speaker 2: it's just yeah, it's too weird. It's like a phone
- 1:14Speaker 2: call that you're hearing yourself and it's just not okay,
- 1:16Speaker 2: right exactly.
- 1:17Speaker 4: I mean, like like you said, like in a like
- 1:18Speaker 4: professional like virtual yeah, but like you know, like my
- 1:21Speaker 4: wife can really saying what I talk sometimes because I
- 1:23Speaker 4: don't shut the hell up, So why would I want
- 1:25Speaker 4: to hear myself talk for an hour? Exactly? I mean
- 1:29Speaker 4: this is usually how it goes anyway. We usually don't
- 1:31Speaker 4: have like a like welcome to the proper show. It's
- 1:33Speaker 4: just welcome to Chuck's Cantina. That's usually how it goes.
- 1:36Speaker 4: I'm your barnment host where they want to call me
- 1:38Speaker 4: to ord skin to it, I'm your barmin host for
- 1:40Speaker 4: the hell call me Chuck. This is episode what are
- 1:43Speaker 4: we on? One sixty nine? Nice and uh as always
- 1:47Speaker 4: thanks to join us. You can find us at Chuck
- 1:48Speaker 4: Santina on your socials, Chuckscanteen, Jimo dot com if you
- 1:51Speaker 4: want to reach out to the show or information, or
- 1:53Speaker 4: you can find me on pot match as well, which
- 1:54Speaker 4: is actually how me and my guest today actually had
- 1:58Speaker 4: found each other. Would you care to introduce yourself.
- 2:02Speaker 3: Sure.
- 2:03Speaker 2: How however, however this goes, I'm always terrible at I'm
- 2:08Speaker 2: not myself.
- 2:09Speaker 4: No, No, I was gonna read your profile, but I'm like,
- 2:11Speaker 4: I don't know if I could do it justice because
- 2:13Speaker 4: I was like, I was telling my wife about this
- 2:15Speaker 4: the other day and she's like, how are you gonna
- 2:17Speaker 4: do that? I'm like, I don't know, I'm pretty good.
- 2:19Speaker 4: I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, it's like I was like,
- 2:21Speaker 4: I read it, and I like, I said, you and
- 2:23Speaker 4: I barely talked online. I just read your profile. I'm like, yeah,
- 2:26Speaker 4: you're in.
- 2:27Speaker 2: Yeah, well, the canteena seems like the place that you
- 2:31Speaker 2: would meet the alien, you know, as soon as we
- 2:33Speaker 2: get all of our interstellar travel you know worked out
- 2:37Speaker 2: for you know, as as far as Earth is concerned,
- 2:39Speaker 2: and we actually have this cantina set up at you know, available.
- 2:44Speaker 2: I think this is exactly what it's gonna sound like.
- 2:46Speaker 2: Is they're gonna see a lot of overlap. Because when
- 2:49Speaker 2: I was looking at your profile, I saw the same thing.
- 2:52Speaker 2: I was like, oh, yeah, this seems cool. You know,
- 2:53Speaker 2: you're gonna maybe have a couple favorite beverages because who
- 2:57Speaker 2: knows what you're you know romulan Ale. Maybe it's your
- 3:00Speaker 2: favorite one. So like, let's let's figure let's talk about
- 3:03Speaker 2: what we like to drink and why we're all at
- 3:05Speaker 2: the CANTEENA I was like, yeah, that sounds like a
- 3:06Speaker 2: blast to me. So so I'm in. But like I said,
- 3:10Speaker 2: I'm terrible at introducing myself.
- 3:12Speaker 4: Then I can I can do my I can do
- 3:13Speaker 4: it justice for you. Let me so my guest today,
- 3:19Speaker 4: every real quick, I apologize, should ask you this, how
- 3:20Speaker 4: do you pronounce is a Hermes? It is probably for
- 3:24Speaker 4: the reason I asked is actually I went to a
- 3:25Speaker 4: high school with a Hermes and uh and like he
- 3:28Speaker 4: would just he would like, you hate everyone. Some people
- 3:30Speaker 4: call me her mess Hermes. I'm like, that's it's Hermes.
- 3:33Speaker 4: But like some people he would just say call me
- 3:35Speaker 4: herm anyway, So we're getting onto it. My guest today,
- 3:40Speaker 4: I'm I'm like reading this and I'm like, how do
- 3:42Speaker 4: I like? Like, it's a good intro, it's a really
- 3:45Speaker 4: good it's a good profile. So uh is a like myself.
- 3:50Speaker 4: Fellow podcast house host one from the scuttle Butt podcast.
- 3:54Speaker 4: You can find their podcast wherever you find your podcast.
- 3:58Speaker 4: You know, is an artist if you will objective, you know, outsider,
- 4:03Speaker 4: you know also is the best way to say it.
- 4:06Speaker 4: You're just an alien. You're just an alien. You know,
- 4:10Speaker 4: you're visiting Earth for a while until you get bored
- 4:12Speaker 4: here kid, Sorry, what's about to come up here? In
- 4:14Speaker 4: a couple of months, you might leave, so you know,
- 4:19Speaker 4: I mean I saw some of your work on your website,
- 4:22Speaker 4: which you could find some of their portfolio art on
- 4:25Speaker 4: hermesaucelander dot com. You know, you have a passion for
- 4:28Speaker 4: visual arts. And you somehow infiltrate the US military, which
- 4:33Speaker 4: we'll get that to in a second, unless that's just
- 4:35Speaker 4: a joke, and then I'll bleep that on a minute.
- 4:36Speaker 4: And yeah, you have trouble much of the planets. You
- 4:39Speaker 4: see many of your wonders, and uh yeah, I appreciate
- 4:43Speaker 4: and I appreciate your last bunch assus. Where the opinion?
- 4:44Speaker 4: Please don't feel the messenger, because that's something I always say.
- 4:46Speaker 4: I mean, I always say on this podcast or in
- 4:48Speaker 4: this canteen and everything to say, because talk about anything,
- 4:50Speaker 4: I always try to avoid politics. If it comes up,
- 4:52Speaker 4: I'll be like, yeah, sure, cool, bye, Okay, let's go
- 4:55Speaker 4: on the next subject. But yeah, no, welcome to the show.
- 4:58Speaker 3: Well, I'm happen to be here.
- 5:00Speaker 2: That was a much better introduction than I could ever do,
- 5:03Speaker 2: So I appreciate that.
- 5:04Speaker 3: Is it Charles or Chuck? I mean I both.
- 5:07Speaker 4: I always say, I go, I mean by the show's
- 5:10Speaker 4: Chuck's cantina, so too Shui Chuck. But like I always say, whatever,
- 5:13Speaker 4: I always tell anyone whatever makes it easier on you, you
- 5:16Speaker 4: can call me that. Just don't call me Chucky, because no,
- 5:19Speaker 4: I do not look like a little terrifying doll. I
- 5:21Speaker 4: look like a giant, freaking bear. So and I don't
- 5:25Speaker 4: know why, because I actually enjoy those Chucky movies. But like,
- 5:27Speaker 4: I don't know why the word the name Chucky. I
- 5:30Speaker 4: think actually I don't know. If you're a football guy,
- 5:33Speaker 4: I think for me it was actually because I don't
- 5:34Speaker 4: know if you ever heard of the coach in John
- 5:35Speaker 4: Gruden for some reason, that was his nickname. And like, honestly,
- 5:38Speaker 4: if you were to take Chucky the doll and then
- 5:41Speaker 4: convert him into an actual adult and then give him
- 5:44Speaker 4: a haircut, that's probably actually what he would look like.
- 5:46Speaker 4: So I don't know if that has anything with because actually,
- 5:48Speaker 4: I like John Gruden actually used to recent Limelight News.
- 5:54Speaker 4: Long story, he's a dick. Most coaches are what most
- 5:57Speaker 4: coaches are, but he's an actual dick. So but yeah,
- 6:00Speaker 4: that's we move along with that. But anyway, in this
- 6:04Speaker 4: case this morning, though, I'm we are doing this recording
- 6:07Speaker 4: earlier in the morning, so I appreciate you, uh doing
- 6:09Speaker 4: this pretty early on your schedule. I am having some
- 6:12Speaker 4: high quality htol as a drink, and I'm also being
- 6:15Speaker 4: a typical adult and drinking cold Drew coffee. No, I'm
- 6:20Speaker 4: not hot coffee because I'm a bitch. Are you drinking
- 6:23Speaker 4: anything this morning?
- 6:25Speaker 3: Uh?
- 6:25Speaker 2: Yeah, I have a bloody Mary That's my breakfast of choice. Oh,
- 6:29Speaker 2: figured i'd start out at ten am, nice and early,
- 6:33Speaker 2: just to get the Saturday rolling. I knew that this
- 6:35Speaker 2: was on the agenda, so I figured that'd be a nice,
- 6:37Speaker 2: typical favorite beverage to join the cantina with.
- 6:42Speaker 4: I mean, hey, they'll throw all the bloody mairk. Although
- 6:44Speaker 4: I don't know why. Maybe you can, maybe you can
- 6:46Speaker 4: clear or uh not clear, Maybe you can entice me
- 6:49Speaker 4: to start trying. So I used to hate coffee. I
- 6:56Speaker 4: don't know why never. I mean, I don't like warm
- 6:58Speaker 4: coffee anyway, even even like when it's like super cold,
- 7:00Speaker 4: because I'm in Chicago at Midwest, like it gets damn
- 7:03Speaker 4: bloody cold here. But for some reason, I never I
- 7:06Speaker 4: just refused to drink warm coffee. Bob's you. The last year,
- 7:09Speaker 4: I've gone really into you know, drinking kinds different call
- 7:11Speaker 4: brews and stuff like that. But also going along with that,
- 7:14Speaker 4: I've gone very much into a good friend of mine
- 7:17Speaker 4: and my wife Emily got me into espresso martini's. Now,
- 7:21Speaker 4: another thing about me is I hate vodka. So I
- 7:26Speaker 4: don't know why every time I go to a place
- 7:28Speaker 4: now I used to be I'm still a huge bourbon guy,
- 7:31Speaker 4: but I would always want to do like your old
- 7:32Speaker 4: fashions you're you know, just maybe a whiskey coke every
- 7:37Speaker 4: now and then stuff like that. But I've been getting
- 7:38Speaker 4: really into the espresso martinis. So maybe you can tell
- 7:42Speaker 4: me what I'm doing wrong, not doing wrong, but what
- 7:44Speaker 4: I should be putting into a bloody Mary because every
- 7:47Speaker 4: I mean, especially in the Midwest, you don't get a
- 7:50Speaker 4: bloody Mary here unless you get a full breakfast in
- 7:52Speaker 4: your drink. No.
- 7:54Speaker 2: Yeah, So I mean I don't know that you're doing
- 7:56Speaker 2: anything wrong. I'm not a big vodka guy. But I've
- 7:59Speaker 2: kind of to learning different cocktails and seeing, you know,
- 8:03Speaker 2: just experimenting what do I like, what do I don't like.
- 8:05Speaker 2: I came around to gin pretty recently, well in the
- 8:08Speaker 2: last year or two, because the buddy of mine really
- 8:10Speaker 2: likes Ginentonics and he's like, yeah, hot day in the summer,
- 8:13Speaker 2: Gin and Tonic nice and refreshing, and so I have
- 8:15Speaker 2: come around to a lot of the experimentation.
- 8:17Speaker 3: Part of it.
- 8:18Speaker 2: But I mean, as far as like a Bloody Marry goes,
- 8:20Speaker 2: I love that fact that it's like, you know, it's spicy,
- 8:23Speaker 2: it waits you. I make my own Bloody Marry mix.
- 8:26Speaker 2: So I have this big like jug of it in
- 8:27Speaker 2: my in my briage that I pore from and it's
- 8:30Speaker 2: got garlic, it's got pickles, it's got you know, and
- 8:33Speaker 2: so I I have this whole thing with it. And yeah,
- 8:36Speaker 2: I just had a nice crunch of pickle after I'm
- 8:38Speaker 2: done drinking my glass of you know, happy.
- 8:41Speaker 3: Juice in the morning.
- 8:42Speaker 2: I mean, but I mean going back to coffee, that's
- 8:45Speaker 2: a that's a staple though. I mean, in the military,
- 8:48Speaker 2: that's what the military runs off of. His caffeine and
- 8:51Speaker 2: coffee being the biggest part of that. Yeah, I love
- 8:54Speaker 2: myself a nice French press in the morning, you know,
- 8:57Speaker 2: take my time with it as I'm waking up and
- 8:59Speaker 2: getting the crust out of my eyes, you know, here
- 9:01Speaker 2: and the kettle go, and then you know pour that
- 9:05Speaker 2: is the bloom of the coffee. And then I guess
- 9:07Speaker 2: I think more than anything, you just have to enjoy
- 9:10Speaker 2: warm beverages, like you like a hot chocolate or I'm
- 9:14Speaker 2: trying to think, like what a tea guy or you
- 9:15Speaker 2: had a warm beverage guy at all?
- 9:16Speaker 3: A soup guy. Maybe at all.
- 9:18Speaker 4: I mean, I'll here's the thing. I'm a big guy,
- 9:20Speaker 4: so I run hot, so I try to avoid things
- 9:22Speaker 4: that are hot. So that's probably why. But like I mean,
- 9:24Speaker 4: I be wrong. I do enjoy a good soup. It's
- 9:27Speaker 4: actually funny you mentioned like in the last year or so,
- 9:30Speaker 4: my wife and I've actually gotten really into soups. Like
- 9:32Speaker 4: one day, I think it was there's like a random
- 9:33Speaker 4: day we both just got sick, both just did soup
- 9:37Speaker 4: and it was like one of those things like you know,
- 9:38Speaker 4: like like wow, I haven't had super a long time.
- 9:41Speaker 4: This is really good. Next thing, you know, there's like
- 9:43Speaker 4: there's like thirty cans of soup in our kitchen stuff
- 9:45Speaker 4: like that. Also, I love I love me and like
- 9:48Speaker 4: again I can't talk for smack because I I love
- 9:51Speaker 4: me a good like thing of homemade chicken noodle soup
- 9:54Speaker 4: or something like that. Yeah, but like not just soups,
- 9:59Speaker 4: but like kind of like going on the coffee too.
- 10:00Speaker 4: I think it's just like it's like one of those
- 10:01Speaker 4: things like trial by error.
- 10:02Speaker 3: Like I used to.
- 10:03Speaker 4: I'm not really a hot chocolate guy, which I don't
- 10:06Speaker 4: know why because like I think it's delicious, but I
- 10:10Speaker 4: really used to because I don't I used to not
- 10:13Speaker 4: drink coffees in the morning. I used to really be
- 10:17Speaker 4: in teas when I was in college because that's all
- 10:19Speaker 4: I could really afford. And it would give me, you know,
- 10:22Speaker 4: like sometime like you know, teas, some teas have that
- 10:25Speaker 4: caffeine you know, benefits off like that it would give
- 10:27Speaker 4: me that boost. I need to, like you know, work
- 10:29Speaker 4: until the long nights of studying or not studying, just
- 10:32Speaker 4: sitting there playing Xbox all night or whatever, trying to
- 10:35Speaker 4: actually get something going with my life. Like I don't
- 10:40Speaker 4: know like what it's been though, because like yeah, like
- 10:42Speaker 4: and the weird the thing about the coffee like not
- 10:45Speaker 4: that I won't drink a warm coffee. Like for example,
- 10:48Speaker 4: last fall, my wife was in Europe for a work
- 10:54Speaker 4: assignment and as like a little birthday for myself or
- 10:58Speaker 4: vicious for what you did for my birthday, she took
- 11:00Speaker 4: us to Ireland. So now, if you know anything about me,
- 11:03Speaker 4: obviously like I do like Bourbon's of whiskey one of
- 11:06Speaker 4: my favorites, absolute favorites. It is because I'm Irish, but
- 11:09Speaker 4: I also like it just tastes damn delicious. Is Toulamore
- 11:12Speaker 4: New Irish whiskey. So we did the distillery tour and
- 11:20Speaker 4: I don't know like what I think it was, like
- 11:21Speaker 4: we just want to like do the tour they like
- 11:23Speaker 4: have the whole day to just like you know, walk
- 11:25Speaker 4: around whatever. I think we did it. We might have
- 11:27Speaker 4: done like another tour that night too, and then I'm
- 11:28Speaker 4: thinking about it, but like we just like want to
- 11:30Speaker 4: rock around the town of you know, to Lamar and
- 11:32Speaker 4: do all this stuff because yes, it is an actual
- 11:34Speaker 4: place and I'll never forget. Our tours are like eight
- 11:38Speaker 4: thirty nine o'clock in the morning and we walk in
- 11:40Speaker 4: they're doing this whole like welcome here you are. This
- 11:43Speaker 4: is the office, blah blah blah blah. All right, let's
- 11:45Speaker 4: sart off with an Irish coffee. I'm like, oh sure,
- 11:48Speaker 4: I mean, like I've done an Irish coffee. And this
- 11:50Speaker 4: thing was so damn hot because for one, it was
- 11:55Speaker 4: it was like like right at the beginning of September
- 11:58Speaker 4: and August and it was hotter than hell. And then
- 12:02Speaker 4: like of course it was just warm whiskey, a little
- 12:04Speaker 4: bit of cream and then obviously some warm coffee, and
- 12:08Speaker 4: it was so damn good. And like my wife was
- 12:09Speaker 4: just sitting it was watched is like sitting there watching
- 12:12Speaker 4: me get not not like she could tells like she's
- 12:14Speaker 4: really enjoying that beverage. But man, is he miserable? And
- 12:20Speaker 4: like I, like I said, I always I try not
- 12:22Speaker 4: to like and plus like for me too, and again
- 12:26Speaker 4: some people do it like I have. We have a
- 12:27Speaker 4: lot of like you said, like in the military, like
- 12:30Speaker 4: obviously you guys run off coffee or or a caffeine.
- 12:33Speaker 4: My brother was in the army for seven eight years,
- 12:37Speaker 4: and my god, like the amount of caffeine I seeing
- 12:39Speaker 4: that guy drink. If I go to the house and
- 12:41Speaker 4: there isn't coffee or like you know, an energy drink
- 12:43Speaker 4: like box in the fridge and something's wrong or or
- 12:47Speaker 4: or it just happens to be grocery shopping day. But
- 12:51Speaker 4: I don't know, like what it was. I just one
- 12:53Speaker 4: day woke up. I wasn't pushed into drinking it. I
- 12:56Speaker 4: wasn't or anything like that. I just one day woke
- 12:59Speaker 4: up and I'm like, I just want to start drinking coffee.
- 13:01Speaker 4: And I hate coffee. So I started doing cold Bruce
- 13:03Speaker 4: and I don't know, I don't know what it was.
- 13:04Speaker 4: I don't know, Like and it's funny. It's literally I
- 13:08Speaker 4: turned thirty last year. It was like maybe like five
- 13:12Speaker 4: days after I turned there, I'm like, I'm gonna go
- 13:14Speaker 4: get a coffee, and then now it's it's been non
- 13:16Speaker 4: it's been nonstup ever since. Like I said, like as
- 13:18Speaker 4: we get older, as we change, like our big taste
- 13:21Speaker 4: buds change and stuff like that. Like you're talking about
- 13:24Speaker 4: like doing like a French press. My father, like I
- 13:25Speaker 4: know he likes to do a French press, but like
- 13:27Speaker 4: he's an espresso fanatic, so like he'll just do that
- 13:31Speaker 4: because I think it's also a little bit quicker. But
- 13:33Speaker 4: I mean kind of say, like like a French press,
- 13:35Speaker 4: I used to work. It's I used to work at
- 13:37Speaker 4: a coffee retailer who I will not.
- 13:39Speaker 3: Say their name who that's why.
- 13:41Speaker 4: Yeah, buddy of mine told me that don't name them
- 13:43Speaker 4: unless they're paying or if you really like their stuff.
- 13:46Speaker 4: Like I've already mentioned a whiskey this company. Yeah, he
- 13:50Speaker 4: I used to do like when I was at that place,
- 13:52Speaker 4: I would do the French presses and like again, when
- 13:55Speaker 4: you go to a coffee place, like a certain coffee place,
- 13:58Speaker 4: which is pretty obvious, you know, you want to get
- 14:01Speaker 4: in and get out, but like sometimes it's also too
- 14:04Speaker 4: Like whenever I worked at this place, I always took
- 14:06Speaker 4: my time with the drinks because you don't rush a
- 14:07Speaker 4: good time because you want it if you I always said, hey,
- 14:09Speaker 4: if you're paying for something, you want it to be good.
- 14:11Speaker 4: You don't, I don't, you don't want to have sent back.
- 14:12Speaker 4: But as well as I kind of rambled down there, apologize, but.
- 14:15Speaker 2: Yeah, I just I love it and this is a
- 14:18Speaker 2: good conversation. This is what the cantina is about.
- 14:20Speaker 4: That's what I mean, that's what that's what that's why
- 14:22Speaker 4: I created the podcast. I'm sure it's the same with
- 14:24Speaker 4: the scuttle Ball podcast. Like I remember that, and I
- 14:28Speaker 4: told I've told this through like once or twice on
- 14:30Speaker 4: other platforms, but you the first like fifteen episodes I
- 14:34Speaker 4: did the Truck's CANTEENA because I think you guys are
- 14:36Speaker 4: like what like in the like in the high middle
- 14:38Speaker 4: two hundreds now and this is like sixty nine.
- 14:41Speaker 3: I think we just did.
- 14:42Speaker 4: You said to oh wow, huh Small.
- 14:44Speaker 3: World sixty nine. I know, right, it's just nicipitous.
- 14:46Speaker 4: Yeah, the first like ten to fifteen episodes, I'll never
- 14:51Speaker 4: forget it. Like I try to like write them out because, like,
- 14:54Speaker 4: you know, I would have people like, hey, what should
- 14:55Speaker 4: we talk about? I'm like, because like the first couple
- 14:58Speaker 4: episodes of any podcasts, before you start reaching out to people,
- 15:00Speaker 4: you try to like you know, work like, you know,
- 15:02Speaker 4: get the little kinks out and make sure all the
- 15:04Speaker 4: teas are crossed and stuff like that, and I like,
- 15:06Speaker 4: anyone come on, like hey, well here's some bullet points,
- 15:08Speaker 4: and like it just it just felt kind of awkward.
- 15:10Speaker 4: Just like sometimes it'd be like, all right, they have
- 15:12Speaker 4: an hour and we're half an hour or we're only
- 15:14Speaker 4: in the first conversation thing, but they really want to
- 15:17Speaker 4: talk about number four crap, you know, what I mean.
- 15:20Speaker 4: So it's like, okay, either we rushed through to kill
- 15:22Speaker 4: three or vice versa, and I'll never forget it. And
- 15:24Speaker 4: I and you know, like you have those like episodes
- 15:26Speaker 4: you remember and for me, and I would recommend anyone
- 15:29Speaker 4: on this podcast or any and I always tell my
- 15:31Speaker 4: guest because sometimes I'm like, hey, what podcast I listened
- 15:33Speaker 4: to before I come on the show or vice versa.
- 15:34Speaker 4: I'm like, here's the episode, and the first one I
- 15:36Speaker 4: always say, it's called episode eleven, and it's called the
- 15:39Speaker 4: slipification of Vin Diesel. Nice because it ended up just
- 15:45Speaker 4: being myself and five other people for other people, just
- 15:48Speaker 4: not we It was not planned, just shitting on Vin
- 15:54Speaker 4: Diesel for no reason at all, not that he's not
- 15:58Speaker 4: a nice guy. It's just we were just talking about
- 16:00Speaker 4: how corny and awful the dialogue of the Fast and
- 16:04Speaker 4: Furious movies were. But yeah, you know what, people could
- 16:06Speaker 4: talk crep all about them, but when they come out,
- 16:08Speaker 4: doesn't matter if they suck or if they really suck.
- 16:11Speaker 4: It makes a good jillion dollars, which is annoying, you know,
- 16:14Speaker 4: because you have movies that were wading oscars and crap
- 16:16Speaker 4: and they could barely make enough to put a roof
- 16:18Speaker 4: on they're at.
- 16:20Speaker 2: Yeah, I was actually listening to it was I think
- 16:25Speaker 2: a welcome back or it's been a long time from
- 16:28Speaker 2: you guys. Oh yeah, episode one sixty four, because I
- 16:32Speaker 2: like to do I've explained this a couple of weeks
- 16:35Speaker 2: after I've guessed, well, not necessarily, but will you listen
- 16:39Speaker 2: to the last one first, or like a couple of
- 16:41Speaker 2: the last ones, like even if you just skim so
- 16:44Speaker 2: you can see where we're at audio wise, and then
- 16:46Speaker 2: you go back and listen to the first and you
- 16:48Speaker 2: can see the growth and you'd be like, okay, who
- 16:50Speaker 2: and especially when you have more than one hundred, like okay,
- 16:52Speaker 2: let's see what growth they've gone through. What how serious
- 16:57Speaker 2: are they taking it? And exactly that that point of
- 17:01Speaker 2: bullet points that you're making there because we were the
- 17:03Speaker 2: same way. It was like how do we figure out
- 17:04Speaker 2: these kinks? How do we get it to flow the
- 17:06Speaker 2: way we wanted to and what the show really is
- 17:08Speaker 2: supposed to be about?
- 17:10Speaker 4: Right?
- 17:10Speaker 2: And you can see the difference in that when somebody's
- 17:13Speaker 2: show is first starting out and then where they are now,
- 17:15Speaker 2: especially like I said, a hundred plus two hundred plus,
- 17:18Speaker 2: then you have that growth and you can really appreciate
- 17:20Speaker 2: it in a quick, quicker time span than devoting, you know,
- 17:24Speaker 2: one hundred and sixty four hours to the podcast you
- 17:27Speaker 2: make guess or may not guess on. So no, I
- 17:30Speaker 2: was listening to yours and I was like, oh, yeah,
- 17:32Speaker 2: there we go. I got the vibe pretty quickly as well.
- 17:34Speaker 3: With you.
- 17:35Speaker 2: I can't remember who you were talking to. It sounded
- 17:38Speaker 2: like one of your boys. Basically, you guys were just
- 17:40Speaker 2: Arnold Schwarzenegger.
- 17:43Speaker 4: My apologies.
- 17:45Speaker 3: That was good. I was like, Okay, these guys like
- 17:47Speaker 3: to have fun. They liked it. I like this, Okay,
- 17:49Speaker 3: we can definitely vibe. But you're always high quality. H two.
- 17:52Speaker 3: Oh you're similar.
- 17:53Speaker 2: When I have the wife on, we do like a
- 17:54Speaker 2: couple's counseling every you know, like once the week, couple
- 17:57Speaker 2: times a month kind of a thing.
- 17:59Speaker 4: That's all.
- 18:00Speaker 2: And it's just you know, let's catch up, let's actually
- 18:01Speaker 2: sit down and have an excuse to talk to each
- 18:04Speaker 2: other with our busy lives that we live.
- 18:07Speaker 3: And she's always just like, yeah, it's a school night.
- 18:09Speaker 2: Yeah I'm just drinking water. Yeah I know it's Saturday,
- 18:11Speaker 2: but you know, I'm just drinking water and it's always
- 18:14Speaker 2: like the most boring you know exchange between us where
- 18:17Speaker 2: I'm like, well I would have shotguned this beer.
- 18:19Speaker 3: Oh yeah, so I know.
- 18:22Speaker 2: I just I love the flow of of of that
- 18:24Speaker 2: and then and of course the show's progression, so I
- 18:28Speaker 2: love seeing that.
- 18:29Speaker 4: I appreciate that well, and like that's the thing too.
- 18:32Speaker 4: And I know your episode, yeah, if your episodes two,
- 18:34Speaker 4: one sixty four of it's been a while and as
- 18:38Speaker 4: I said, like, yeah, my wife is on a longer
- 18:40Speaker 4: work term assignment, so I was taking that time.
- 18:42Speaker 3: Too, Fazo lan deuts Schlend, Yeah.
- 18:44Speaker 4: Exactly, spend spend some time with her, you know, making
- 18:47Speaker 4: sure she's all right, working her already and everything like
- 18:49Speaker 4: that paperwork, plus our dogs with her too, so just
- 18:52Speaker 4: getting all that stuff. But like and yeah, like I said,
- 18:54Speaker 4: like I think realistically, like I'm the and it's crazy
- 18:57Speaker 4: to say it's been three years that I've been doing
- 18:59Speaker 4: the podcast and like I'm me saying like and you
- 19:00Speaker 4: guys are you know, literally a hundred epistles ahead, which
- 19:03Speaker 4: is awesome too, But it's just I think I realistically
- 19:08Speaker 4: have only missed like other than like that like one
- 19:10Speaker 4: weird jubbers, Like I think it was like three weeks.
- 19:12Speaker 4: I think I've only missed like like weapons, like there's
- 19:14Speaker 4: like two throughs, like hey guys, no episode this week,
- 19:17Speaker 4: and like one was because of a recording issue, one
- 19:19Speaker 4: was because of like a guest cancel, and I think
- 19:22Speaker 4: actually the third one was because I got very severe
- 19:24Speaker 4: food poison. So like, sorry guys, no episode this week.
- 19:29Speaker 4: But and again I always I always say, I always
- 19:32Speaker 4: say I apologize for the arm of Sports Singer, but
- 19:34Speaker 4: I always say it will never stop because I don't know,
- 19:36Speaker 4: I don't know what it is. We just it just
- 19:38Speaker 4: we just go into it. And it's just like it's
- 19:42Speaker 4: like you said, like you just gotta have that fun
- 19:43Speaker 4: because I always try to act like whenever I come
- 19:46Speaker 4: on this podcast, regardless if I'm talking to it, but
- 19:49Speaker 4: you hear the person like yourself, like why you really
- 19:50Speaker 4: haven't you know, connected with before, or like you said,
- 19:53Speaker 4: I one of my boys, or like my wife. It's
- 19:56Speaker 4: I always try to be like, hey, look, there's no
- 19:58Speaker 4: microphone here, there's no there's no one here. Everything you
- 20:02Speaker 4: say is safe in here. And like I said, I
- 20:05Speaker 4: the only stuff I've ever deleted in terms of recording
- 20:08Speaker 4: is if somebody says a person's full name who is
- 20:11Speaker 4: in the public limelight, because I'm just like, you just
- 20:13Speaker 4: don't do that, and like, you know, if you don't
- 20:14Speaker 4: do podcasting or recording, you just you know, you just
- 20:17Speaker 4: go yeah Jim Schwartz and b blah blah blah. It's like,
- 20:22Speaker 4: I don't know, like not that, like you're gonna have
- 20:24Speaker 4: some creep like look up someone's name. But again, we
- 20:26Speaker 4: live in a As much as we love this I mean,
- 20:29Speaker 4: I mean, you could probably answer this better. As much
- 20:32Speaker 4: as I love this planet, I can admit that there
- 20:35Speaker 4: are some cuckoo heads. And I mean especially a person
- 20:38Speaker 4: like yourself who's traveled this planet and you're just visiting
- 20:41Speaker 4: you for a short time. I'm sure you can attest
- 20:44Speaker 4: that there are some real a holes out there.
- 20:45Speaker 2: Unfortunately, so oh absolutely yeah, I mean you, I'm sure,
- 20:49Speaker 2: I'm sure anybody, any parent out there. I don't know
- 20:51Speaker 2: if you have kids or not, but any parent out
- 20:53Speaker 2: there can easily see I mean, how how.
- 20:57Speaker 3: Quickly online just interactions.
- 21:00Speaker 2: Again, just love, I do enjoy the fact that we
- 21:03Speaker 2: can connect across Like you said, you're in the Chicago area.
- 21:07Speaker 2: It's crazy that we can connect in real time, you know,
- 21:09Speaker 2: across this, you know, awesome technology and have a conversation.
- 21:13Speaker 3: Ran.
- 21:13Speaker 2: Like I said, we haven't done this before. This is
- 21:15Speaker 2: our first time meeting conversing. We you know, did a
- 21:18Speaker 2: couple messages on pod match just to schedule this and
- 21:22Speaker 2: here we are, We're having a conversation and you know,
- 21:24Speaker 2: having a good time.
- 21:25Speaker 3: This is awesome. It's fun.
- 21:26Speaker 2: I get to have a drink and meet somebody new.
- 21:28Speaker 2: I've really been blessed with that as far as the
- 21:30Speaker 2: podcast concerned. But again, you know, I know plenty of
- 21:34Speaker 2: parents out there where or people in the limelight where yeah,
- 21:38Speaker 2: there's a little bit more information out there that you
- 21:40Speaker 2: weren't I guess planning or expecting.
- 21:43Speaker 3: We're going to be used maliciously, especially if you have kids.
- 21:47Speaker 2: You know, it's it's very easy to have your kid
- 21:50Speaker 2: out there on social media and all of a sudden
- 21:53Speaker 2: they're geo tagged and they have to take a picture
- 21:55Speaker 2: in front of you know, the Wendy's on the corner
- 21:58Speaker 2: of such and such, and now that that's you know,
- 22:00Speaker 2: a you know, a very visible and easy target for
- 22:05Speaker 2: some of the more malicious individuals out there that you know,
- 22:07Speaker 2: unfortunately do exist, and yeah, it is it is the
- 22:12Speaker 2: double edged sword, I guess of you know, just like
- 22:15Speaker 2: anything else, you know, you can't have the good without
- 22:17Speaker 2: the bad, and being aware of that I think is
- 22:19Speaker 2: certainly yeah, is it's certainly better. It's a big part
- 22:23Speaker 2: of why you know, my podcast, myself, my persona online
- 22:28Speaker 2: is as minimal as possible, not only for like the
- 22:31Speaker 2: mental health aspect of it. I think it's good to
- 22:35Speaker 2: to not be stuck in your phone twenty four to seven,
- 22:38Speaker 2: doom scrolling and whatnot. Not to say I'm not guilty
- 22:40Speaker 2: of it occasionally, but you know, I definitely minimize a
- 22:43Speaker 2: lot of that just for the mental health. But as
- 22:46Speaker 2: far as like privacy goes, it's it's a big thing
- 22:49Speaker 2: that I think more people should be aware of and
- 22:51Speaker 2: care about for things just like employment. You know, you
- 22:54Speaker 2: see that a lot where they're like, oh, I see
- 22:56Speaker 2: you liked this post on which is shitty that people
- 22:58Speaker 2: do that you like this post to two years ago
- 23:00Speaker 2: and what did you mean by.
- 23:02Speaker 3: You know that shitty part?
- 23:03Speaker 2: But at the same time, it's you know, for for myself,
- 23:06Speaker 2: for the online persona.
- 23:07Speaker 3: With the artwork is as far as the artwork is.
- 23:09Speaker 2: Concerned, that was something I noticed right away as people
- 23:12Speaker 2: would go into the art or things that I would
- 23:15Speaker 2: say in the podcast after I built that up, and
- 23:19Speaker 2: that if they knew me from a from work or
- 23:21Speaker 2: a personal level or something like that, they would go
- 23:24Speaker 2: into you know, the show or the artwork or the
- 23:26Speaker 2: writing and sort of judge it through that lens of
- 23:30Speaker 2: me as they knew me, you know, that public person
- 23:34Speaker 2: or face that they knew me, and they weren't really
- 23:37Speaker 2: absorbing or in my eyes like you know, giving the
- 23:41Speaker 2: you know whatever, the piece, the artwork or the writing
- 23:42Speaker 2: or whatever, it's it's time of day, because oh it's
- 23:46Speaker 2: it's Hermes Is stuff. So it's obviously like, oh, what
- 23:48Speaker 2: does he mean by this or what does he mean
- 23:49Speaker 2: by that? And then the other side of it is
- 23:53Speaker 2: you'd see an authentic interpretation where they didn't know you know,
- 23:57Speaker 2: the hermes, the guy behind the masks, so to speak,
- 23:59Speaker 2: and they would see it as it's something completely different.
- 24:02Speaker 3: This is how I.
- 24:02Speaker 2: Interpret this, And I was like, yes, that's exactly you know,
- 24:05Speaker 2: good job. And then so how do you do.
- 24:08Speaker 3: That more often?
- 24:09Speaker 2: How do you get an authentic, you know, feel for
- 24:11Speaker 2: something It's it's through an anonymous mask, it's through an
- 24:15Speaker 2: anonymous lens you know, you got to strip away a
- 24:18Speaker 2: lot of the bullshit that people bring to the table,
- 24:21Speaker 2: I guess. And so with like the podcast, especially with
- 24:24Speaker 2: us being in the military. Two third myself and another
- 24:26Speaker 2: co host are in the military, how do we strip
- 24:30Speaker 2: what we have to say that's you know, I wouldn't
- 24:33Speaker 2: say important, because nobody everybody's opinion is important. But you know,
- 24:38Speaker 2: especially with the craziness is going on with the commander
- 24:40Speaker 2: in chief right now, or like the democratic process, as
- 24:43Speaker 2: as military member, as service members, a lot of us
- 24:46Speaker 2: are talking. A lot of us have thoughts and opinions
- 24:49Speaker 2: about what's going on right or wrong, and there should
- 24:51Speaker 2: be a place that we can discuss that without having
- 24:53Speaker 2: you know, without getting reprimanded, right and so a big,
- 24:56Speaker 2: a big way to do that is to do it
- 24:59Speaker 2: behind that obviously anonymous kind of a lens, because then
- 25:03Speaker 2: Master Chief so and so can't get mad at termes
- 25:05Speaker 2: at Morpheus, you know, you know, Private first class so
- 25:08Speaker 2: and so they can they can email all day long,
- 25:11Speaker 2: and they can hate mail all day long, and that's
- 25:13Speaker 2: great for the algorithm.
- 25:14Speaker 3: So please do but you can't.
- 25:16Speaker 2: You can't reprimand us, you know, officially, and Uncle Sam
- 25:19Speaker 2: can't reprimand US officially because we're not necessarily representing the
- 25:23Speaker 2: actual uniform. We just happened to wear it outside of
- 25:27Speaker 2: the podcast, if that makes sense.
- 25:28Speaker 4: So well, it's like you're it's like you said about
- 25:31Speaker 4: like keeping things close to the vest, like and it
- 25:34Speaker 4: just sucks that today. And I had a conversation about
- 25:40Speaker 4: something like this with someone recently who was a little
- 25:42Speaker 4: bit older than I, and they made it coming about
- 25:47Speaker 4: like you know, oh back, you know, essentially the back
- 25:49Speaker 4: in my day kind of spiel, like you can have
- 25:52Speaker 4: these conversations with people and there wouldn't be a fight
- 25:55Speaker 4: about it. But I understanding. I'm just it's just I've
- 25:58Speaker 4: never seen as much negativity, to which I said, no,
- 26:00Speaker 4: it's just because it's much as much view on other
- 26:03Speaker 4: opinions wasn't as available. It's always been like this, unfortunately,
- 26:07Speaker 4: it's just now people have more ability to post their
- 26:12Speaker 4: feelings and stuff like that. But like, this is the
- 26:14Speaker 4: thing that blows in my mind regardless of you know,
- 26:17Speaker 4: what anyone's opinions are in the upcoming election or your
- 26:20Speaker 4: favorite sport team and stuff like that, I always go,
- 26:23Speaker 4: I always stand by the fact of no. Obviously, like
- 26:26Speaker 4: you want to keep certain some things close to the vest,
- 26:28Speaker 4: you know, like you know, hobnestly, I don't post like
- 26:32Speaker 4: where I live, or I don't post like where my
- 26:36Speaker 4: wife is working. You know, you know, you obviously don't
- 26:38Speaker 4: post the normal stuff. Like if there's like certain things
- 26:40Speaker 4: else you want to keep away from the public limelight,
- 26:42Speaker 4: you just don't talk about that stuff or in any
- 26:45Speaker 4: kind of form. But it just sucks because like today,
- 26:49Speaker 4: like you know, you could say things and like I
- 26:51Speaker 4: always live by this whole, like you know, if I'm
- 26:53Speaker 4: going to post it, I need to stand behind it.
- 26:54Speaker 4: But then like you'll see people like that post certain things.
- 26:57Speaker 4: But then like you look at their profile picture and
- 26:59Speaker 4: it's a picture of like some wrestling chick, or it's
- 27:03Speaker 4: a picture of just some anime character and their name
- 27:05Speaker 4: is like you know, Goku my is my life for
- 27:09Speaker 4: three two one or whatever, and like you know, you
- 27:11Speaker 4: would never know like who they were, you know, they
- 27:13Speaker 4: would never say that stuff in public, and like, yeah,
- 27:15Speaker 4: like some stuff you just don't say in PUG. But
- 27:17Speaker 4: I just and like you said, like I think today
- 27:20Speaker 4: it's just so it's and it's also it's just hard
- 27:22Speaker 4: to keep things close to us because you want to.
- 27:25Speaker 4: I mean, we all have this like weird urge because
- 27:27Speaker 4: of social media, like showcase, like here's what I'm doing,
- 27:30Speaker 4: you know, like like oh hey, like I haven't posted
- 27:32Speaker 4: on let me show everyone that I'm in Disneyland, or like,
- 27:34Speaker 4: oh hey, I'm I'm in Switzerland. Let me show everybody
- 27:37Speaker 4: for some reason, and like sometime and like instinct sometimes
- 27:39Speaker 4: it's just like we don't need that because I'm like,
- 27:41Speaker 4: I mean, I don't know if you remember like when
- 27:42Speaker 4: Twitter first came out, like that's all everyone was doing. Here,
- 27:45Speaker 4: I am making mashed potatoes. Here, I am making this
- 27:48Speaker 4: hashtag five thousand hashtags within the one hundred and twenty
- 27:51Speaker 4: character limit, and it's just like, you know, I think
- 27:54Speaker 4: things have gotten better where like people are posting every
- 27:56Speaker 4: single thing they're doing. But yeah, and like I actually
- 28:01Speaker 4: I kind of want to actually kind of roll off
- 28:02Speaker 4: the ball a little bit about also your like you're
- 28:05Speaker 4: the Wendy's kind of comment because there was one thing
- 28:08Speaker 4: on your pod match profile I didn't notice obviously kind
- 28:14Speaker 4: of going on the technology realm, it is expanding quite
- 28:17Speaker 4: a lot. It's expanded quite I mean, it expands insane,
- 28:19Speaker 4: saye amount every single day. But especially in the last
- 28:21Speaker 4: six months it's expanded about. And now obviously there are
- 28:27Speaker 4: weird there are laws that protect people and stuff like that,
- 28:30Speaker 4: but you made a kind of like the kind of
- 28:31Speaker 4: like you know, taking a photo like front of Wendy
- 28:32Speaker 4: and stuff like that. Like I mean, there's been like
- 28:34Speaker 4: lawsuits where it's like they they used my photo that
- 28:37Speaker 4: I took at Burger k or we shouldn't be saying
- 28:39Speaker 4: names at burger joints and you're seeing like all this stuff.
- 28:46Speaker 4: But actually, the thing I really want to get your
- 28:48Speaker 4: thoughts about, and because obviously it is expanding, I really
- 28:51Speaker 4: want to get your thoughts on h on ai because
- 28:54Speaker 4: obviously that is the hot topic right now. And obviously
- 28:57Speaker 4: as a person who you know, you don't don't bobviously
- 28:59Speaker 4: any of disclosed all like what you've done, like with
- 29:01Speaker 4: like military and stuff like that. There's one get like
- 29:03Speaker 4: what your thoughts at aire because and this is my thought,
- 29:07Speaker 4: is anything with any kind of new technology or increased technology,
- 29:10Speaker 4: there is always a good, but then there's always an
- 29:12Speaker 4: equal band that's just inevitable.
- 29:14Speaker 3: This is the way it is, of course.
- 29:15Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean my general thoughts on AI is that, yeah,
- 29:20Speaker 2: it's a new tool. It is an exciting tool, especially
- 29:27Speaker 2: if I was to go the optimistic route, seeing all
- 29:30Speaker 2: of the uses that I would imagine could be beneficial
- 29:33Speaker 2: with it, even the ones that we've seen thus far.
- 29:36Speaker 3: So it is a tool. I know.
- 29:39Speaker 2: There was a lot of hysteria when it first was
- 29:42Speaker 2: like popping up with all this AI art, and then
- 29:44Speaker 2: it started to get really good, and all the artists
- 29:46Speaker 2: you know that I follow or you know a lot
- 29:48Speaker 2: that I, excuse me, interact with online, we're all pretty
- 29:53Speaker 2: concerned most of it. We're pretty concerned saying, oh, this
- 29:55Speaker 2: is gonna take our job basically, or this can take
- 29:57Speaker 2: our style, this is gonna be theft, this is that
- 29:59Speaker 2: the other. And I just think it's because of how
- 30:03Speaker 2: you know, personally, I think that that mentality is a
- 30:07Speaker 2: little misplaced, mostly because and I think more people have
- 30:10Speaker 2: come around to this now that the hysteria and the
- 30:13Speaker 2: jolt of this new technology has sort of subsided.
- 30:16Speaker 3: Even though it has only been you know, a couple.
- 30:18Speaker 2: Of years, a couple of months kind of a thing.
- 30:20Speaker 2: But this exponential growth is something that we you know,
- 30:24Speaker 2: as artists, as creators, as humans probably are you know,
- 30:28Speaker 2: not probably are definitely not used to seeing such a
- 30:32Speaker 2: such a growth and so fast. But it has been coming,
- 30:35Speaker 2: has been a long time coming. So I think that
- 30:37Speaker 2: mentality is a little misplaced because you know, look.
- 30:39Speaker 3: At the internet.
- 30:40Speaker 2: You know, when the Internet first popped off, all of
- 30:43Speaker 2: a sudden, photos could be uploaded and stolen left and
- 30:46Speaker 2: right for you know, and photography is like, oh what,
- 30:49Speaker 2: you know, how am I gonna monetize my photos? Now
- 30:52Speaker 2: that you don't have to go to my you know,
- 30:53Speaker 2: my portfolio or come to me personally and ask for
- 30:57Speaker 2: me to take your picture. You can just you know,
- 30:59Speaker 2: take the pictures I've taken before. And now we have photoshop,
- 31:02Speaker 2: you can photoshop yourself and oh my god, like, how
- 31:04Speaker 2: am I going to survive? And the same thing with artists, like,
- 31:06Speaker 2: if you think about it, they've been able. Hopefully you
- 31:09Speaker 2: don't hear my siren out there, I guess somebody dying.
- 31:13Speaker 4: It's okay, I'm sure losing the episode. You've heard my
- 31:15Speaker 4: cat watch or twice, so it's.
- 31:17Speaker 2: Okay my cat. Yeah, she'll she'll definitely jump in on
- 31:19Speaker 2: my lap every now and then. But but like when
- 31:22Speaker 2: when art was first like getting online as well, a
- 31:24Speaker 2: lot of I did see and hear a lot and
- 31:27Speaker 2: saw the potential for theft with that.
- 31:29Speaker 3: You know, you just take a screenshot or you.
- 31:31Speaker 2: Download somebody's piece, and then you claim it as your own,
- 31:34Speaker 2: and all of a sudden, if you're a little bit
- 31:35Speaker 2: better at marketing or social media, social media started to
- 31:40Speaker 2: you know, explode. Now you can just claim to be
- 31:42Speaker 2: this artist, or you can make a couple of tweaks
- 31:44Speaker 2: to this and before the artist can really go through
- 31:46Speaker 2: the process of getting that work back, doesn't matter. You've
- 31:49Speaker 2: already made your money. So you saw that with the internet,
- 31:51Speaker 2: and AI is just the latest, you know, you know,
- 31:54Speaker 2: evolution of that. I think so, I think there is
- 31:58Speaker 2: plenty of the good and bad. But as to be optimistic,
- 32:02Speaker 2: I personally have used it for so many you know,
- 32:06Speaker 2: so many things to speed up the process of art myself,
- 32:10Speaker 2: to speed up the you know, like the storyboarding, the
- 32:12Speaker 2: writing process. I've been working on whatever I want to
- 32:16Speaker 2: call my book here, I've been working on this for
- 32:19Speaker 2: a while, and it makes it a lot easier to
- 32:21Speaker 2: research certain topics and to expand on those topics and
- 32:24Speaker 2: then to write out something, you know, a couple of
- 32:27Speaker 2: times and then say okay, actually, yeah, I like how
- 32:30Speaker 2: I said it. Here, rewrite this, you know in you know,
- 32:35Speaker 2: Jeff Goldbloom style, right, and then I.
- 32:36Speaker 3: Can be like, oh, that's funny. Let me take that
- 32:39Speaker 3: quote you know something, you know.
- 32:40Speaker 2: Yeah, and then if you and of course if you
- 32:42Speaker 2: have characters, then you can sort of upload character profiles
- 32:46Speaker 2: into whatever AI you're looking at, and then you can
- 32:48Speaker 2: go through sort of like a D and D campaign
- 32:51Speaker 2: and see how they would react in this scenario and
- 32:54Speaker 2: then take what you like out of that scenario and
- 32:56Speaker 2: put it into where you're going with your actual story.
- 32:59Speaker 2: So to me, it's a very helpful tool, and I've
- 33:01Speaker 2: seen it, you know, be be a lot of fun.
- 33:04Speaker 3: I've I've had a lot of fun with it. It's
- 33:06Speaker 3: it is exciting to see how fast it's growing.
- 33:09Speaker 4: Now.
- 33:09Speaker 2: The pessimist side of me, the less optimistic side of me,
- 33:14Speaker 2: it sees a lot of it both in I mean,
- 33:17Speaker 2: you could use you could use the internet as this
- 33:19Speaker 2: example as well to what we were describing, you know,
- 33:22Speaker 2: a second.
- 33:23Speaker 3: Ago of how how quickly.
- 33:26Speaker 2: Malicious uh malicious actors might use this for their advantage
- 33:31Speaker 2: in in a in a way that you that the
- 33:34Speaker 2: average person who again has no malicious intent or has
- 33:37Speaker 2: no ill intent, would.
- 33:39Speaker 3: Never have expected it to be used. Akay, the geo.
- 33:41Speaker 2: Tagging the location, you know, the hashtag whatever, and now
- 33:44Speaker 2: you can connect with underage kids. That kind of a thing,
- 33:48Speaker 2: you know, that's that's a that is a dark side
- 33:51Speaker 2: that a lot of us, even though we see the
- 33:53Speaker 2: tool and we see this amazing possibility, all of a sudden,
- 33:57Speaker 2: are now made aware of and are like, Okay, how
- 33:59Speaker 2: do we you know, how do we balance this?
- 34:01Speaker 3: How do we how do we put the correct safeguards
- 34:03Speaker 3: on this?
- 34:04Speaker 2: And most of it, when, especially with something like AI,
- 34:07Speaker 2: comes down to the individual, how you're going to use
- 34:11Speaker 2: it and what you're going to get out of it,
- 34:13Speaker 2: then you have these you know, actors when it comes
- 34:16Speaker 2: to you know, maybe a malicious country or something, you know,
- 34:20Speaker 2: whether it's malware or cyber attacks, et cetera. As as
- 34:23Speaker 2: far as like the military is concerned. I take it
- 34:25Speaker 2: back to both the Internet connection to nuclear like programs
- 34:31Speaker 2: and this, and even further back to the nuclear program itself.
- 34:34Speaker 2: You know it was it was something that was made
- 34:37Speaker 2: out of a wartime necessity, I guess which if you
- 34:42Speaker 2: want to get into the philosophy of whether or not
- 34:45Speaker 2: nuclear weapons are good or bad or should be used
- 34:48Speaker 2: or shouldn't be used. That's definitely its own little tangent
- 34:51Speaker 2: rabbit hole. But nuclear power was something that came out
- 34:56Speaker 2: of that as a positive and could you know, theoretically
- 35:00Speaker 2: solve a lot of the issues that we've seen post
- 35:03Speaker 2: you know, World War Two and even currently you know,
- 35:05Speaker 2: with you know, poverty and energy stricken countries, you know,
- 35:08Speaker 2: a lot of you know a lot of the minerals
- 35:10Speaker 2: and things that we're you know using let's say, forced
- 35:13Speaker 2: labor for in order to power our phones and our
- 35:16Speaker 2: technology that we're currently you know using right now as
- 35:19Speaker 2: you and I talk in the in you know, a
- 35:22Speaker 2: first world Western country. That's something that we could use
- 35:26Speaker 2: something very negative, at least initially negative for something extremely positive.
- 35:31Speaker 3: And it just comes down to, yeah.
- 35:33Speaker 2: The individual and hopefully a collection of individuals that want
- 35:37Speaker 2: that and agree that that's what we want and not.
- 35:41Speaker 3: Get caught up in this well, you.
- 35:43Speaker 2: Know, it's you know, it's a matter of red versus blue,
- 35:46Speaker 2: or Red wants half of what Blue wants, but Blue
- 35:49Speaker 2: wants the other half, and so you got to pick
- 35:51Speaker 2: which half you want today because tomorrow it'll be Project
- 35:54Speaker 2: twenty twenty five. Or you know, authoritarian whatever.
- 35:58Speaker 3: And you know, I think.
- 35:59Speaker 2: That's easy to get, you know, whether it's football or
- 36:02Speaker 2: anything else, easy to distract ourselves with, because individual responsibility
- 36:07Speaker 2: is a tough thing, you know, like we all know
- 36:09Speaker 2: that's what we should be doing individually. You know, we
- 36:12Speaker 2: got to take responsibility for our lives. Our actions are
- 36:16Speaker 2: what coffee we're going to drink. But that's tough sometimes,
- 36:19Speaker 2: you know, those decisions are tough, and when it's told
- 36:21Speaker 2: to us, you know, it can it can lighten some
- 36:25Speaker 2: of that, you know, burden, at least superficially.
- 36:27Speaker 3: So I think of AI being what it is.
- 36:30Speaker 2: We it's it's definitely an exciting technology that we need
- 36:33Speaker 2: to be careful with. I can see the abuse potential,
- 36:36Speaker 2: but as the average Joe guy, I think most of
- 36:41Speaker 2: us can see that the potential can outweigh the negative
- 36:44Speaker 2: if we all agree that that's what we want. We
- 36:46Speaker 2: don't want the negative, and so how we mitigate that negative,
- 36:49Speaker 2: I think is the conversation question, you know, that we're
- 36:52Speaker 2: all dealing with right now.
- 36:53Speaker 4: I mean, like it's like I was on your I
- 36:57Speaker 4: was on your website hermeisauce under dot com, and I
- 36:59Speaker 4: was some of your portfolio, some of your work, and
- 37:01Speaker 4: it's like it's awesome, to say the least, it's it's
- 37:07Speaker 4: very good. Like I think, and I apologize that this
- 37:11Speaker 4: isn't correct, but I think it was a Jesus Christ
- 37:13Speaker 4: on a pterodactyl. I saw that, and I'm like, that's
- 37:18Speaker 4: pretty badass. But and it's just and I think that's
- 37:23Speaker 4: the thing too, because like, for example, like I recently
- 37:28Speaker 4: a couple of years ago, I got my first tattoo.
- 37:30Speaker 4: In this last year or so, I've gotten some more tattoos.
- 37:34Speaker 4: And I don't get wrong. In life, what do we want?
- 37:39Speaker 4: We want to get things we want in the easiest way,
- 37:42Speaker 4: you know, fathomable. We wanted to just you know, I
- 37:44Speaker 4: just essentially type it in and it's there. Cool, I
- 37:48Speaker 4: got what I need. I just and I can only
- 37:50Speaker 4: imagine because like I'm nowhere even close as artistic as you,
- 37:55Speaker 4: but like I just enjoy I like as much as
- 37:58Speaker 4: I love doing something, I also love the creative process. Like,
- 38:02Speaker 4: for example, right now, my wife and I were doing
- 38:04Speaker 4: a lot of like talking like hey, here's what we
- 38:06Speaker 4: do want, here's what we want to do on the
- 38:07Speaker 4: outside of our house. Like I literally have like bookmarks
- 38:11Speaker 4: or like folder bookmarks on my computer and my phone
- 38:14Speaker 4: of like things that we're gonna do outside and stuff
- 38:16Speaker 4: like that. And then like the I only have I
- 38:20Speaker 4: got I only have four tattoos, but like the creative
- 38:24Speaker 4: process that like I went through two of them. The
- 38:28Speaker 4: why I have a I have a helmet piece on
- 38:30Speaker 4: my deltoid and then I have a a it's an
- 38:32Speaker 4: R two D two piece on my quad. The process
- 38:36Speaker 4: I went through with creating everything with the artists. I
- 38:42Speaker 4: just like, as much as I love my tattoos and
- 38:44Speaker 4: they mean a lot to me, I just I remember,
- 38:47Speaker 4: like almost like enjoying the process of like going talking
- 38:50Speaker 4: with them about it more because like I mean, like, hey,
- 38:53Speaker 4: if you want to go get a tat like you know,
- 38:55Speaker 4: if you want to go get a tattoo a period
- 38:56Speaker 4: of platypus on, you're like, go get a period of
- 38:58Speaker 4: platopus and you're like all that. But like I just
- 39:02Speaker 4: remember because I noways tell like any artists or like
- 39:04Speaker 4: you know, any any person that comes on the CANTEENA
- 39:06Speaker 4: like I want you to come on here. As if
- 39:09Speaker 4: you're in a bar and you're having a good time
- 39:11Speaker 4: and if you're drinking, you're not, that's fine, but you're
- 39:14Speaker 4: just talking through about whatever you want, because it's just
- 39:17Speaker 4: it's it's it's us being us. We're expressing ourselves to
- 39:22Speaker 4: our truest form. And I just see some of these
- 39:25Speaker 4: AI things and I just feel bad because like, like
- 39:28Speaker 4: like the the the person that did my leg piece, like,
- 39:31Speaker 4: and I asked him, like, how are you doing? How
- 39:33Speaker 4: do you feel about AI? And he's like and he's like,
- 39:35Speaker 4: don't be wrong. Some of it is the coolest things
- 39:38Speaker 4: I've ever seen. But when you're a person who thrives
- 39:41Speaker 4: on putting your work and your thought into someone else's,
- 39:46Speaker 4: you know, you know, because it's like this, this is
- 39:48Speaker 4: why they describe to me the best way they say
- 39:50Speaker 4: things like when you like a person goes to a mechanic,
- 39:52Speaker 4: you know, and then they make commercials off this, Hey,
- 39:54Speaker 4: what's wrong with your car? And they say it's making
- 39:56Speaker 4: this weird noise And of course they make a noise
- 39:58Speaker 4: that's not even closer with the actual noise. You have
- 40:01Speaker 4: to take what they have, figure out what the issue
- 40:05Speaker 4: is or what they want to get addressed, and then
- 40:07Speaker 4: go with that. And I'm like, I like, that's actually
- 40:09Speaker 4: not a bad I mean, it's it's completely different. Professional.
- 40:12Speaker 4: I'm like, it's that big because he's like yeah. Because
- 40:14Speaker 4: for example, when I got this piece on my leg, uh,
- 40:19Speaker 4: it was kind of inspired in a way by a
- 40:22Speaker 4: TikTok I saw where someone was essentially like say like, hey,
- 40:27Speaker 4: here's like some cool ideas for like for like tattoos
- 40:30Speaker 4: or drawings. And it was just like this little tiny
- 40:32Speaker 4: it was like a little tiny piece. I'm like maybe
- 40:34Speaker 4: not even a half inch tall, maybe three inches wide.
- 40:38Speaker 4: And the reason I wanted to get this thing on
- 40:40Speaker 4: my leg was because was because a couple of years
- 40:43Speaker 4: ago I've had I've had two knee surgeries on the
- 40:45Speaker 4: same leg because of football. And I remember I sent this.
- 40:49Speaker 4: I sent this idea to the guy. I didn't send
- 40:50Speaker 4: him the phone. I'm like, I'm like, hey, here's what
- 40:52Speaker 4: I'm thinking this long this why, here's what I want
- 40:54Speaker 4: to get. And he's like okay, and he's like, what
- 40:57Speaker 4: what are you looking for? And I go I said,
- 40:59Speaker 4: and I said, I would actually like for you to
- 41:00Speaker 4: tell me what you think you can do with that,
- 41:01Speaker 4: because I always want you know, like again, you have
- 41:05Speaker 4: this vision in your head. But I don't want to
- 41:07Speaker 4: walk in and be like no, I want exactly what
- 41:08Speaker 4: I want. I want, but I want their they're essentially
- 41:12Speaker 4: they're touched there Insignia's signature if you owe their watermark
- 41:16Speaker 4: on anything they do, so I'll never forget. We talked
- 41:19Speaker 4: about it and I went in that day and he's like, Okay,
- 41:21Speaker 4: how comfortable are you with this tattoo? Like, I mean,
- 41:24Speaker 4: like I haven't seen him, Like this is something that
- 41:27Speaker 4: means a lot too, really want to go. He goes, okay, great,
- 41:29Speaker 4: you're not getting a little line tattoo today, Like oh,
- 41:31Speaker 4: really goes no, You're gonna get a quad tattoo. I'm
- 41:34Speaker 4: like oh. And then he flipped his iPad and he
- 41:39Speaker 4: showed me four different concepts and I'm like and you know,
- 41:43Speaker 4: it's like it's like you know, it's like it's like
- 41:45Speaker 4: when you go into like buy a car, it's like, noll,
- 41:47Speaker 4: here's my price. Tis one together they're like, well for
- 41:48Speaker 4: five five grand more, you can get this. It's like, oh,
- 41:51Speaker 4: it's the car I want, you know. And when he
- 41:54Speaker 4: showed me that, I'm like, oh, okay, we're doing this
- 41:57Speaker 4: like no questions asked, Like oh yeah, Like that's it's
- 42:00Speaker 4: so sick. And but you know, when he took the
- 42:02Speaker 4: time he goes like here, hey, if we get this big,
- 42:03Speaker 4: here's what we'll do if we do this, and like
- 42:05Speaker 4: because they took the time, but like and yeah, some
- 42:09Speaker 4: AI things are cool, but like the thing I like,
- 42:11Speaker 4: it's like, you know, as much as I said earlier,
- 42:14Speaker 4: as much good as comes with it, there's also as
- 42:16Speaker 4: much bad because especially like with film currently, you know,
- 42:19Speaker 4: you're seeing it being somewhat integrated into movie productions television productions.
- 42:27Speaker 4: It was a rumor I don't know if I was
- 42:28Speaker 4: ever confirmed. There was that Marvel showed us Secret Wars
- 42:33Speaker 4: was it or something like that, and like they say,
- 42:36Speaker 4: like that essentially the rumor was the entire intro was
- 42:38Speaker 4: done through AI and it looked like shit talk shit, Yeah,
- 42:44Speaker 4: it looked like shit. And it's just like like like
- 42:48Speaker 4: these and that's the thing too, Like that's why people
- 42:50Speaker 4: can making fun of like movies today because like again
- 42:52Speaker 4: it's it's it's a it's not a bad example. But
- 42:55Speaker 4: like just go back and watch the first Iron Man,
- 42:58Speaker 4: you know, which is crazy to say now, really you
- 43:00Speaker 4: feel old. That movie is almost twenty years old. The
- 43:02Speaker 4: special effects in that movie are fantastic. It's insane or Okay,
- 43:06Speaker 4: you know what, not even that. Let's get rid of
- 43:08Speaker 4: Iron Man. Let's go back to ninety three the Jurassic Park. Okay,
- 43:12Speaker 4: movies thirty years old. God, I feel old saying that,
- 43:16Speaker 4: because that's how I am. But movies thirty years old,
- 43:19Speaker 4: the CGI, the special effects in that are perfect. You
- 43:21Speaker 4: then have these movies today that are coming out and
- 43:24Speaker 4: they're partially using AI and special effects and all that
- 43:27Speaker 4: stuff for almost quadruple what those movies cost. And it's
- 43:31Speaker 4: just like what am I watching here? You know what
- 43:34Speaker 4: I mean? But and it's like you said, there is
- 43:38Speaker 4: good and there is bad with it. But like I said,
- 43:40Speaker 4: I think it's also like one of those scenes where
- 43:41Speaker 4: we need to take the time but and like learn
- 43:46Speaker 4: more about it, try to find and also like find
- 43:49Speaker 4: a way I always say too, especially for like people
- 43:50Speaker 4: like yourself, like who like are in this artistic profession,
- 43:54Speaker 4: find a way to regulate it, because like I said, like, yeah,
- 43:55Speaker 4: you know what you can put You could put your
- 43:59Speaker 4: watermark or your signature all over it. But unfortunately there
- 44:02Speaker 4: are weights to get rid of that today, which sucks.
- 44:04Speaker 4: And that's why I because actually like the last thing
- 44:06Speaker 4: I mean I would ever want, especially for you is like,
- 44:08Speaker 4: you know, you create this. I saw this like one
- 44:10Speaker 4: piece that you did. It was like and like the
- 44:13Speaker 4: way your website had it. Like I opened I literally
- 44:16Speaker 4: opened it up and I literally went, holy shit, that's sick.
- 44:19Speaker 4: It was like it was like a little picture and
- 44:21Speaker 4: it has showed what was It was Gandalf and the
- 44:24Speaker 4: Rain from Lore of the Rains. And then I open
- 44:25Speaker 4: it up and all of a sudden there's there's and
- 44:27Speaker 4: there's Star Wars the Jokers there for some reason, and I'm.
- 44:31Speaker 5: Like, oh shit, like that's sick, you know what I mean.
- 44:35Speaker 5: But at the same time, it's just like what, like
- 44:39Speaker 5: what happened? Like what's going on.
- 44:45Speaker 4: I just think though that anytime you can have a
- 44:50Speaker 4: way to control something that's so powerful, so understanding, like
- 44:54Speaker 4: it's one of those things that should be prioritized, like
- 44:56Speaker 4: we need to make sure this is done.
- 45:00Speaker 3: Yeah, I think that is.
- 45:02Speaker 2: I think that's a reasonable reaction to have. Is that
- 45:06Speaker 2: we got again, we got to minimize or at least
- 45:08Speaker 2: have the conversation how to minimize some of.
- 45:10Speaker 3: The negative fallout.
- 45:11Speaker 2: But I also think again, just like with special effects,
- 45:15Speaker 2: you know, with CGI, you know, I'm sure there are
- 45:17Speaker 2: plenty of actors and directors, and you know what filmmakers
- 45:22Speaker 2: that when CGI was getting more and more prevalent, they
- 45:25Speaker 2: you know, especially in the early days when it was
- 45:27Speaker 2: really shitty, you know, similar to AI being really shitty.
- 45:30Speaker 3: Now we're very much against it.
- 45:32Speaker 2: And yet today there's you know, I don't know what
- 45:35Speaker 2: the exact percentage is, but well over half, if not
- 45:38Speaker 2: seventy five plus percent of all movies have some CGI
- 45:42Speaker 2: in them, and then the bigger the action is probably
- 45:44Speaker 2: the bigger the CGI is. Now some people would argue, well,
- 45:48Speaker 2: that was putting certain you know, departments out of business,
- 45:51Speaker 2: you know, like cinematography for example, or something where that
- 45:54Speaker 2: turns out that it's not entirely true. We adapt, and
- 45:56Speaker 2: we as creatives enjoy these problems to you know. Then
- 46:01Speaker 2: we get presented with, oh, well now we have CGI cinematography.
- 46:05Speaker 2: Now you've got to plot these out in a different
- 46:08Speaker 2: more you know, like analytic type of setting.
- 46:11Speaker 3: How can we do that?
- 46:12Speaker 2: And and now we have you know, like you said,
- 46:14Speaker 2: we have things like Marvel that blew up into billions
- 46:17Speaker 2: and billions of dollars worth of different new departments, different teams.
- 46:24Speaker 3: Well, I mean.
- 46:26Speaker 2: Yes, we all we we do I do acknowledge our
- 46:30Speaker 2: our Disney overlords. You know, I have no problem with
- 46:32Speaker 2: our with our Communists overlords. But but but I mean,
- 46:39Speaker 2: but seriously, joke, I mean, joke. All you want that
- 46:42Speaker 2: some of the things that we that when I was
- 46:44Speaker 2: a kid saw for the front, like like Jurassic Park,
- 46:47Speaker 2: that was something that was branded, you know, new technology,
- 46:50Speaker 2: but they knew they couldn't you know, have it out
- 46:52Speaker 2: in the sunlight.
- 46:53Speaker 3: You know, all.
- 46:54Speaker 2: The warts and features of the you know, t Rex
- 46:58Speaker 2: attacking those cars, those jeeps. So you know, you had
- 47:01Speaker 2: a director and you had you know, you had you
- 47:04Speaker 2: had the art department and the creative you know, angle
- 47:07Speaker 2: to say, okay, well how about we put it in
- 47:09Speaker 2: the rain, We'll put it at night, you know, similar
- 47:11Speaker 2: to Jaws. You know, the less you see the more
- 47:13Speaker 2: you know that kind of thing and that creator, you
- 47:16Speaker 2: know that you create that timeless thing. And so with
- 47:18Speaker 2: AI coming out now I agree that yeah, there's this,
- 47:22Speaker 2: you know, this theft that's probably going on, or this
- 47:24Speaker 2: you know, let's draw this in hermes Ouslander style, you know,
- 47:28Speaker 2: and put it you know, on planet Mars or whatever. Okay, great,
- 47:32Speaker 2: that's a different creation because if you know, if you
- 47:34Speaker 2: look at my style and and things that I create
- 47:37Speaker 2: or things that I put my name on.
- 47:39Speaker 3: It's not it's not that hard.
- 47:41Speaker 2: Today to figure out what, you know, what it is
- 47:46Speaker 2: that you're after in the art. And if you what
- 47:47Speaker 2: you're after in the art is you know this. You know,
- 47:51Speaker 2: let's be not to bash any AI program there, but
- 47:53Speaker 2: this like sort of superficial, highly processed, almost like photoshopped,
- 47:58Speaker 2: you know, sense about it.
- 48:00Speaker 3: That's cool.
- 48:01Speaker 2: I play around with Night Cafe and I create a
- 48:04Speaker 2: lot of fun you know where after the Trump stuff,
- 48:07Speaker 2: I was like or July fourth, you know, I was like, here,
- 48:10Speaker 2: how about you give me all the Founding fathers riding
- 48:13Speaker 2: eagles into battle with tanks and you know all that
- 48:16Speaker 2: and then boom and yeah, in twenty seconds, I have
- 48:19Speaker 2: like twenty of those examples.
- 48:21Speaker 3: But there their faces are all messed up. They have
- 48:23Speaker 3: too many fingers, this and that, this and.
- 48:24Speaker 2: The right, which is funny and is fine whatever, and
- 48:27Speaker 2: if you want to spend money, you can improve that.
- 48:29Speaker 2: But I can look at one of those and like boom.
- 48:31Speaker 2: I like this example of the eagle with George Washington,
- 48:35Speaker 2: similar to what I did with Jesus on a pterodactyl.
- 48:38Speaker 2: You know, I like this Trump on the tank with
- 48:41Speaker 2: you know Biden baby riding his shoulder. You know, I
- 48:44Speaker 2: could take pieces because I have that ability that an
- 48:47Speaker 2: AI doesn't, and I can then say in a very
- 48:50Speaker 2: specific highly you know, you know, stylized fashion for my
- 48:54Speaker 2: own self that no other AI has or no other
- 48:56Speaker 2: person has. I can then take those and put it
- 48:59Speaker 2: into my style, put it into my you know, mind's eye,
- 49:01Speaker 2: and in the next you know, day or two, have
- 49:03Speaker 2: something completely unique that started from some random AIS you know,
- 49:08Speaker 2: deep learning algorithm that produced based on what I was
- 49:11Speaker 2: thinking in my head and what I typed out for it,
- 49:13Speaker 2: something that I actually have physical on T shirts or
- 49:16Speaker 2: on posters and if I want to go a set
- 49:18Speaker 2: further and paint it, you know, for the next fifty hours,
- 49:22Speaker 2: and that's something that will give me my little therapy
- 49:24Speaker 2: session that is just good for me. And if other
- 49:26Speaker 2: people are seeing that and getting connect with that, I
- 49:28Speaker 2: think that's pretty easy. Just like you know Instagram models.
- 49:31Speaker 2: There's a lot of AI Instagram models out there, and
- 49:33Speaker 2: if you are one of those doom scrollers, you know,
- 49:36Speaker 2: like foaming at the mouth, need to you know, I
- 49:40Speaker 2: don't know, visit poor or one of these hubs will
- 49:43Speaker 2: say twenty times.
- 49:45Speaker 3: All day, Yeah right, Why would you say the name.
- 49:49Speaker 2: If that's what you need to do and that's what's
- 49:50Speaker 2: getting you by throughout the day. You know, I'm not
- 49:52Speaker 2: here to judge anybody's lifestyle, but that's personally not for me,
- 49:55Speaker 2: and personally not what I would say a majority of
- 49:58Speaker 2: people are after these days. Sure we all like the
- 50:01Speaker 2: dopamine hit, and sure we all can get addicted to
- 50:04Speaker 2: a lot of these things, but by and large, a
- 50:06Speaker 2: lot of us can recognize when something is productive or
- 50:08Speaker 2: not for us.
- 50:09Speaker 3: And you can, you.
- 50:11Speaker 2: Can, you can easily tell the difference between it, you know,
- 50:14Speaker 2: one of those Instagram models that's you know photo, yeah,
- 50:18Speaker 2: photoshopped or AI generated, and you can. Again, if you're
- 50:21Speaker 2: one of those doom scrollers that's all you're doing, I'm
- 50:23Speaker 2: sure you'll get tricked by it. I'm sure that'll add
- 50:25Speaker 2: to your you know bank, your whatever. I don't know
- 50:28Speaker 2: what's a PC version of spank bank, but you can
- 50:31Speaker 2: add that and to your account, to your savings account
- 50:36Speaker 2: there and you know, knock yourself out, have ad a hoss.
- 50:40Speaker 2: Here we are in the matrix and nobody's doing anything.
- 50:42Speaker 2: But for the rest of us, or for the majority
- 50:44Speaker 2: of us in my eyes, that are are interested in learning, exploring, traveling,
- 50:51Speaker 2: do you know, connecting with each other and doing you
- 50:53Speaker 2: know that.
- 50:54Speaker 3: I feel like that's what.
- 50:55Speaker 2: Social media is and was always about, was that connection.
- 50:59Speaker 2: And again advertisements and things have sort of warped it
- 51:02Speaker 2: and changed into what it is.
- 51:03Speaker 3: Why we have this doom scroll now.
- 51:04Speaker 2: But I think AI is easy is very quickly highlighting
- 51:10Speaker 2: how easy it is to do those things and how
- 51:12Speaker 2: easy it is to hijack a lot of these things
- 51:14Speaker 2: like AI. But you have you know, guys like us
- 51:17Speaker 2: that are going to take AI and use it for
- 51:18Speaker 2: something fun, use it for something new, and then yeah,
- 51:21Speaker 2: you know, somebody may have the immediate viscial reaction of no,
- 51:25Speaker 2: that's going to replace my job, or no, that's going
- 51:26Speaker 2: to steal this from me. But I think that's just
- 51:28Speaker 2: you know that that's a you know, that's too quick,
- 51:31Speaker 2: that's too it's jumping jumping the gun a little. But
- 51:33Speaker 2: I think if you take your time, you can find
- 51:35Speaker 2: something cool in it too. If you're a writer, if
- 51:37Speaker 2: you're a podcaster. I mean, for our show, we I
- 51:40Speaker 2: have a lot of fun cloning voices, you know, and
- 51:43Speaker 2: then putting like, oh we have you know who, was
- 51:47Speaker 2: it a Sam Elliott who's going to go into our
- 51:49Speaker 2: Whiskey Wednesday introduction with us? Of course you put a disclaimer,
- 51:53Speaker 2: not really Sam ellen Elliot. But it's super cool that
- 51:57Speaker 2: I can have Sam Elliott, you know, hanging out for
- 51:59Speaker 2: a quick WI Wednesday, you know, in that you know,
- 52:02Speaker 2: big Lebowski style, you know, And that's fucking awesome.
- 52:06Speaker 3: And if Sam.
- 52:07Speaker 2: Elliott sees that, it's like, fuck you guys, don't do that. Okay, Sam, sorry,
- 52:10Speaker 2: I'll take it off. But maybe that Sam saw it,
- 52:13Speaker 2: Maybe Sam, you want to hang out and have a
- 52:14Speaker 2: whiskey for real, like, and then we don't have to
- 52:16Speaker 2: clone the AI voice like that's a similar Oh boy,
- 52:19Speaker 2: right right, That's that's what I see with all of this.
- 52:22Speaker 2: These are just new tools that I can just like
- 52:24Speaker 2: when the Internet came out and you can now connect
- 52:26Speaker 2: to these celebrities, you know, theoretically theoretically and you saw
- 52:30Speaker 2: it occasionally, yeah so and so tag so and so
- 52:32Speaker 2: and so and so reached out. I was like, hey,
- 52:33Speaker 2: you want a first you know, first edition signed copy
- 52:37Speaker 2: of my book?
- 52:37Speaker 3: Here you go. You just won the lottery kind of thing.
- 52:40Speaker 2: We have this ability to connect now, and I think
- 52:41Speaker 2: AI is just the latest tool in that that we
- 52:43Speaker 2: can use.
- 52:44Speaker 4: I and we can wrap up here in a minute.
- 52:46Speaker 4: I want to obviously I'm a movie junkie. My wife
- 52:50Speaker 4: likes to say that, and I just my my few
- 52:52Speaker 4: friends and might like to say, like, I have a
- 52:53Speaker 4: movie quote for almost any situation. So there's one right here.
- 52:57Speaker 4: This is a movie that obviously when it came out
- 52:59Speaker 4: was hand by many people and critics. But ever since
- 53:02Speaker 4: it came out on like home video, you know, some
- 53:06Speaker 4: people just or DVD or streaming, and it's the cable
- 53:12Speaker 4: guy with Jim Carrey, and it's where he goes the
- 53:14Speaker 4: future is now, someday you'll be able to play Mortal
- 53:17Speaker 4: Kombat with someone in Vietnam and like, which is which
- 53:22Speaker 4: hindsight because we came like in the later nineties and
- 53:25Speaker 4: not even like what four years later, like everyone's online
- 53:28Speaker 4: playing Halo and shit together. And I think it's like
- 53:33Speaker 4: and I think like with AI, and it's like you said,
- 53:36Speaker 4: and I think and I think, and it's nice that
- 53:38Speaker 4: because I've talked with I haven't talked with like other
- 53:40Speaker 4: like you know, artists like yourself, like you know, I
- 53:42Speaker 4: talk with like a few like tattoo artists who are
- 53:46Speaker 4: more I'm not gonna say negative towards a I, but
- 53:48Speaker 4: they're obviously a little worried about it because it's like
- 53:50Speaker 4: they they you know, they're gonna sit there all of a sudden,
- 53:52Speaker 4: some purchases of walks in with a printed piece of
- 53:53Speaker 4: paper for Microsoft Outlook or whatever. Hey, here's what I want.
- 53:57Speaker 4: It's like like, you know, like, okay, you know what
- 54:00Speaker 4: I mean, Like if you're paying for it, sure, But
- 54:03Speaker 4: it's like I said, I just think it's one of
- 54:04Speaker 4: those things where and this is like with any technology,
- 54:07Speaker 4: especially in the last twenty years, it's just one of
- 54:10Speaker 4: those things where at some point, hopefully someone takes a
- 54:13Speaker 4: step back because like yourself, you're saying like, hey, if
- 54:15Speaker 4: I could see something like I could pull this, I
- 54:16Speaker 4: could pull this Eagle, I could pull this Trump, I
- 54:20Speaker 4: could pull this you know, George Washington or Lincoln. If
- 54:23Speaker 4: you can pull ideas from it, fine, And I think
- 54:25Speaker 4: like you're taking a good approach to it. And I think
- 54:27Speaker 4: it's also one of the says that where some people
- 54:28Speaker 4: to like essentially take a step back, take a deep breath,
- 54:30Speaker 4: and go, Okay, how can we use this? What can
- 54:35Speaker 4: we do with this? And like I said, I'm obviously
- 54:40Speaker 4: movies are going to do it. Gaming is going to
- 54:43Speaker 4: do it. People in your profession are going to do it.
- 54:46Speaker 4: And it's like one of those things like, hey, how
- 54:47Speaker 4: can we use this without any of the negative drawbacks
- 54:53Speaker 4: instead of just like you, like I said, like people
- 54:54Speaker 4: are just going, Okay, cool, I like this. I'm gonna
- 54:56Speaker 4: put this on here and I'm gonna put on my website.
- 54:59Speaker 4: The only thing I change was I gave Jesus a
- 55:01Speaker 4: top hat and I made the Paradactyl rainbow and he's
- 55:04Speaker 4: got a pair of goggles from like Mad Max on
- 55:07Speaker 4: his face. Cool, please pay me one hundred dollars for
- 55:10Speaker 4: this piece. And it's just like we just gotta find
- 55:13Speaker 4: ways to regulate that, especially for like you know, people
- 55:15Speaker 4: like yourself are getting ripped off, but also just so
- 55:18Speaker 4: that like again, you're not gonna make everyone happy, that's obvious,
- 55:22Speaker 4: But it's just like one of those scenes where I think,
- 55:25Speaker 4: like I said, I think the thing people are just
- 55:26Speaker 4: more worried about is like there's like no way to
- 55:27Speaker 4: regular So it's like like, you know, is this too
- 55:29Speaker 4: much power? Is this the infinity garm leg there's too
- 55:32Speaker 4: much power in the palm of my hand. And it's like,
- 55:34Speaker 4: no one's asking, like, hey, how do we control it?
- 55:35Speaker 4: How do we regulate it so that people aren't abusing it,
- 55:38Speaker 4: which of course anyone every Yeah, people are gonna use it. It's
- 55:42Speaker 4: just life. That's the way it goes.
- 55:43Speaker 2: I mean, don't we have this instinct to control control?
- 55:46Speaker 2: It's like, no, the Internet is supposed to be free
- 55:49Speaker 2: and open and accessible, and right, yeah, there's gonna be
- 55:52Speaker 2: you know, the again, the malicious ones.
- 55:54Speaker 3: But let's fucking do it together.
- 55:56Speaker 2: And more often than most of us all want the
- 55:59Speaker 2: same thing, most of us positivity. And I think we're
- 56:02Speaker 2: going to get that if that's what we're all about.
- 56:04Speaker 4: Well and like and that, and I appreciate like the
- 56:07Speaker 4: disclaiming thing you said about same, Sam Elliott, I can't
- 56:11Speaker 4: remember what it was. For my buddy pat Og Patron,
- 56:15Speaker 4: we did a podcast about a year ago. I'm not
- 56:18Speaker 4: a lawyer. I didn't contact a lawyer about this, but
- 56:21Speaker 4: like I read an online example and I on another
- 56:24Speaker 4: podcast I wasn't two did the same thing we were doing,
- 56:27Speaker 4: like a spoof or joke kind of thing, and I
- 56:29Speaker 4: literally wrote out a whole disclaimer about like you know,
- 56:32Speaker 4: the thoughts you're about to hear, our opinions, YadA yadaa
- 56:35Speaker 4: to reflect others and all that stuff. And like I
- 56:38Speaker 4: didn't tell my my buddy that was on my guest
- 56:39Speaker 4: that day, and he was like and think goes, wow,
- 56:42Speaker 4: that was really well written because how did I take you?
- 56:44Speaker 4: And I'm like it took me a while and goes
- 56:45Speaker 4: like you did just like like oh you you like
- 56:47Speaker 4: you like reached yeah, Like I took my time to
- 56:49Speaker 4: make sure that like this stuff was like actually legit
- 56:51Speaker 4: because like and again we weren't talking about anything like
- 56:53Speaker 4: negative or bad or like you know, like you know,
- 56:55Speaker 4: some la were looking to go hey, asshole picked that down.
- 56:57Speaker 4: It was it was just like no, we were just
- 56:59Speaker 4: we're off. But the subject of the conversation, which some
- 57:03Speaker 4: could find a little triggering, like that's just and I
- 57:08Speaker 4: think it's just people just need to And that's the
- 57:11Speaker 4: other thing too, I think people just need to take
- 57:13Speaker 4: a deep breath because unfortunately, in today's world, we have
- 57:17Speaker 4: so much access to so many things like the Internet,
- 57:21Speaker 4: and unfortunately, yes the internet, as cool as it is,
- 57:23Speaker 4: as great of a tool as it is, people also
- 57:26Speaker 4: use that tool unfortunately for pure evil, and it's like
- 57:29Speaker 4: we just need to take a step back, take a
- 57:31Speaker 4: deep breath, and be like, Okay, what can I use
- 57:34Speaker 4: this tool for? Like for me or for yourself. You
- 57:37Speaker 4: use it to post your work, use it to you know,
- 57:39Speaker 4: essentially make a living, and also use it to use
- 57:42Speaker 4: your podcast to perform and put your podcasts off for
- 57:45Speaker 4: the world to listen to. I use mine for my
- 57:48Speaker 4: podcast and to connect with other creators because I like
- 57:52Speaker 4: is the thing too, Like I love the thing I
- 57:54Speaker 4: love doing. I love connecting with people like yourself where
- 57:55Speaker 4: it's like, hey, what are we gonna do here? Like
- 57:58Speaker 4: what can we do? Like you know, like I can
- 57:59Speaker 4: get a good vibe off you? You need a good
- 58:01Speaker 4: vibe off me. Oh there's been people I'm like, you know,
- 58:03Speaker 4: I don't have I get a great vibe often, but
- 58:04Speaker 4: that excites is. Okay, let's try it anyway because maybe
- 58:06Speaker 4: you know, before we know it, we could work. Because
- 58:08Speaker 4: like one of my one of another another guests we
- 58:12Speaker 4: have on here, his name is nickname is Clickity Clack.
- 58:14Speaker 4: Good really good friend of mine. But man, like there
- 58:18Speaker 4: are times him and I when we're hanging out with
- 58:20Speaker 4: each other like we always have that like ALP not
- 58:22Speaker 4: alpha mentality, but like hey I need to I need
- 58:25Speaker 4: to get my opinion out before you kind of thing.
- 58:27Speaker 4: And it's just like how like this is this is
- 58:29Speaker 4: how and I have always vibe and like on the podcast,
- 58:31Speaker 4: it's made for some great podcasts, but there's also times
- 58:34Speaker 4: on the podcast I had to be like, dude, shut up,
- 58:38Speaker 4: like like let like let let me talk, let og
- 58:41Speaker 4: patron talk, let shop I'm doing the nicknames, let shag
- 58:44Speaker 4: Zilla talk. Like let's just all let's all get our
- 58:46Speaker 4: opinions in here. And like, and the funny thing too,
- 58:48Speaker 4: is like some of my friends like they don't know
- 58:49Speaker 4: each other, like they know each but they don't know
- 58:50Speaker 4: each other that well. And like it's funny when they
- 58:52Speaker 4: like interact and they like interrupt each other and like
- 58:54Speaker 4: oh hey, asshole, but like yeah, it's talking here and
- 58:58Speaker 4: like and the thing too, we and I'm sorry, we
- 59:00Speaker 4: can wrap up here in a second. The thing you
- 59:02Speaker 4: would I want to go back to a little bit earlier,
- 59:03Speaker 4: like you were talking about, like you know, like whatever
- 59:06Speaker 4: like you do to get like your daily access you know,
- 59:08Speaker 4: like nobamine or like excitement your life. That's your life.
- 59:11Speaker 4: Great do what you gotta do. I remember I had
- 59:15Speaker 4: a conversation with another podcast host offline. I always give
- 59:19Speaker 4: him credit because he really helped me get my podcasts
- 59:23Speaker 4: at something like he gave me like all these great
- 59:25Speaker 4: ideas and tips. His name is Missionary Thomas from the
- 59:27Speaker 4: Wrestling To podcast and he wants it in a podcast
- 59:31Speaker 4: like because he does. He does a wrestling podcast where
- 59:33Speaker 4: if you don't any think about wrestling, there is as
- 59:37Speaker 4: corny and fake as it can be. There's obviously those
- 59:40Speaker 4: hurts behind it, but some of the fans in that
- 59:42Speaker 4: realm also, like Star Wars, can go way over to top.
- 59:46Speaker 4: And do you just see some of the shit that
- 59:49Speaker 4: people not even just say, like just like on their
- 59:51Speaker 4: own things like just in like in a comment that
- 59:53Speaker 4: like or like in a comment of a tweet he makes.
- 59:55Speaker 4: It's just like would you like would you say this?
- 59:58Speaker 4: And like, like I said, if you post it, be
- 1:00:00Speaker 4: willing to say to public And just some of the
- 1:00:02Speaker 4: stuff you see these people tweet or comment, it's just like,
- 1:00:06Speaker 4: good lord, like what is the matter with you? And again,
- 1:00:10Speaker 4: and I think it's one of those things where sometimes
- 1:00:12Speaker 4: you know people you know, everyone you know, we're all
- 1:00:15Speaker 4: going through this thing called life. It is easier said
- 1:00:18Speaker 4: than done, but like sometimes you just got I think
- 1:00:21Speaker 4: also nothing people to find. Don't use social media or
- 1:00:25Speaker 4: the internet as a way to how I wear this,
- 1:00:28Speaker 4: get your frustrate, use it as a tool to get
- 1:00:30Speaker 4: you to release some stress, but don't use it as
- 1:00:33Speaker 4: a tool to like attack others for your struggles. That's
- 1:00:37Speaker 4: probably what I'm trying to say. It's like, it's like
- 1:00:39Speaker 4: I said, there's a famous quote another quotess on a
- 1:00:42Speaker 4: movie quote and I can't remember who said it. And
- 1:00:46Speaker 4: actually I know who said it, but the person who
- 1:00:48Speaker 4: said the quote said, I don't know who said the quote.
- 1:00:51Speaker 4: And they say that they say that every time whenever
- 1:00:53Speaker 4: they say this quote. I think that's like that's something
- 1:00:54Speaker 4: that's like, that's some real humbleness of like this person's
- 1:00:57Speaker 4: going outther waise. They don't have to say that, and
- 1:00:59Speaker 4: that's it's it's nice to be important, but it's more
- 1:01:01Speaker 4: important to be nice. Yeah, And I think, especially in
- 1:01:05Speaker 4: today's I mean not even just in the world, but
- 1:01:07Speaker 4: in America today, that's something that we really need to
- 1:01:09Speaker 4: get a grasp on so and hopefully we do well.
- 1:01:13Speaker 3: I couldn't. Yeah, Oh, I couldn't agree more.
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: I think I have a similar thought process when it
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: comes to you know, posting, whether it's anonymously or you
- 1:01:23Speaker 2: know and they're a pseudonym or anything else. I think
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: you had you had mentioned earlier in the show. You know,
- 1:01:26Speaker 2: occasionally you'll see somebody lashing out online, then you go
- 1:01:29Speaker 2: to their profile or say something, you go to their profile.
- 1:01:31Speaker 3: It's like, you know, Goku.
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: Twenty seven idea or whatever, Right, you don't, there's no
- 1:01:36Speaker 2: there's no way to tell who that person is. But
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: I think I think there is very much that that
- 1:01:42Speaker 2: is exactly what.
- 1:01:42Speaker 3: You are seeing, is that person you know.
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: And even if that's just one facet of the person,
- 1:01:47Speaker 2: if you're the type of person that hides behind anonymity
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: and lash out, you're.
- 1:01:53Speaker 3: Very much highlighting who you are.
- 1:01:54Speaker 2: And if that's what you're doing eight hours a day,
- 1:01:57Speaker 2: I don't think anybody's gonna think anything else other than
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: Goku twenty seven is a fucking asshole.
- 1:02:03Speaker 3: Whereas I look at it, well, I've always looked at it.
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: As what you say online, especially when you strip away
- 1:02:08Speaker 2: a lot of the you know, not nuance, but you know,
- 1:02:12Speaker 2: all this other baggage of you know, oh, so and
- 1:02:15Speaker 2: so's this ethnicity, this sex, this gender, this, you know,
- 1:02:18Speaker 2: person living in this place. You strip all that away.
- 1:02:20Speaker 2: You have the anonymous, you know, pseudonym factor.
- 1:02:23Speaker 3: You're you're one hundred.
- 1:02:24Speaker 2: Percent stripping away. You're stripping yourself down to your like merit.
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: It's just what you say what you don't say online.
- 1:02:32Speaker 2: So if you're lashing out, okay, I guess you're an angry,
- 1:02:36Speaker 2: hateful kind of a person. But if you're under the
- 1:02:38Speaker 2: pseudonym and you're, like you said, highlighting each other's strengths,
- 1:02:41Speaker 2: you're out there trying to have legitimate conversations. You're interested
- 1:02:45Speaker 2: in X, Y and Z, and you're posting about X,
- 1:02:47Speaker 2: Y and Z, you know, from a curious perspective, And
- 1:02:49Speaker 2: then somebody lashes out at you and you respond with, yeah,
- 1:02:52Speaker 2: you know, I'm sorry you feel that way, or how
- 1:02:54Speaker 2: can we talk about that kind of a thing.
- 1:02:56Speaker 3: That's something that you're highlighting that.
- 1:02:57Speaker 2: If I look at your Goku two thousand and seven profile,
- 1:03:00Speaker 2: I'm like, wow, Goku two thousand and seven is a thoughtful, considerate,
- 1:03:04Speaker 2: positive person. You know, I don't need to know anything
- 1:03:07Speaker 2: further than that. I just know from the merit that
- 1:03:10Speaker 2: you have displayed online that.
- 1:03:12Speaker 3: That's who you are. So I think that not even
- 1:03:15Speaker 3: a double edged sword. I think people need to.
- 1:03:17Speaker 2: Realize that that's actually like at least the perspective I
- 1:03:20Speaker 2: have with it. And I think that's actually the perspective
- 1:03:22Speaker 2: of social media that you can have. It's not that
- 1:03:23Speaker 2: you're hiding behind something because you're not. People can see
- 1:03:26Speaker 2: right through this facade if that's all you're doing is
- 1:03:29Speaker 2: lashing out and vice versa.
- 1:03:30Speaker 4: If you're not, you know, no, and I like, it's
- 1:03:33Speaker 4: like you said, it's just you can look at their
- 1:03:36Speaker 4: stuff and see if they are a positive person. Like
- 1:03:38Speaker 4: and here's the thing too, it's like if they're not
- 1:03:40Speaker 4: a positive person, and like it's like, let say, it's okay,
- 1:03:44Speaker 4: I'm just gonna move on. I don't need to worry
- 1:03:45Speaker 4: about it. And you know, obviously if they keep like
- 1:03:48Speaker 4: commenting on you, and here's the thing too, they keep
- 1:03:50Speaker 4: commenting on your stuff. You know, like anytime you post
- 1:03:53Speaker 4: anything on your website or your socials, it's like, hey,
- 1:03:55Speaker 4: here's my new you know, here's here's a new piece
- 1:03:57Speaker 4: I worked on. Go check it out. Blah blah blah blah. Okay,
- 1:04:00Speaker 4: every time you post them and this sucks or like
- 1:04:02Speaker 4: it's like the guy from Happy the movie, like the
- 1:04:03Speaker 4: guy from Happy gidmore jackass, like every every every every
- 1:04:07Speaker 4: put jackass. It's like, you know what, as nasty as
- 1:04:11Speaker 4: people can be online, block button, it's one of the
- 1:04:15Speaker 4: greatest inventions is all social media. Absolutely, I've only I've
- 1:04:19Speaker 4: only had to block one person because they were just
- 1:04:23Speaker 4: posting or commenting. Like it was like the most random
- 1:04:27Speaker 4: spam to hack, like you know, like hey, click on
- 1:04:31Speaker 4: the I think great podcast by the way, click on
- 1:04:33Speaker 4: this blah blah blah blah. It's like, dude, like now
- 1:04:36Speaker 4: I have no problem people commenting on my stuff, like,
- 1:04:38Speaker 4: oh wow, great interesting topic. Here's my opinion on this. Okay,
- 1:04:41Speaker 4: cool your thing? Like when it's so obviously like or
- 1:04:44Speaker 4: like you know, like you know obviously no, there's no
- 1:04:46Speaker 4: there's no room in any room that I'm in with
- 1:04:48Speaker 4: hate speech. I can't dount stand by that ship. But
- 1:04:50Speaker 4: like the block button is there for a reason and
- 1:04:54Speaker 4: it works. It's great. Yes, can this person? Yes? Can
- 1:04:57Speaker 4: that person Goku two thousand and seven or the and
- 1:05:00Speaker 4: Goku the day? Can that person really go the one
- 1:05:02Speaker 4: who said the first? Can that person go? Either way?
- 1:05:04Speaker 4: To make a new profile, make a new email, all
- 1:05:06Speaker 4: that jazz, and we can Goku twenty seventeen just to
- 1:05:09Speaker 4: you know, go like a ha, you thought you got me, motherfucker.
- 1:05:12Speaker 4: It's like you just probably spend twenty minutes making a
- 1:05:15Speaker 4: new thing just to go on my platform and go, haha,
- 1:05:18Speaker 4: I'm back. It's like I'm glad I was in your
- 1:05:21Speaker 4: thought process for half your day, like like please, like yeah,
- 1:05:24Speaker 4: knock yourself out, please go and by the way, blot,
- 1:05:29Speaker 4: but hey, that's the where we live in. It is
- 1:05:32Speaker 4: what it is. But at the end of the day,
- 1:05:34Speaker 4: it's like I said, we're all we're all in this together,
- 1:05:37Speaker 4: and like if and like I mean, I could tell
- 1:05:39Speaker 4: right away you're a very positive person.
- 1:05:41Speaker 3: I know that.
- 1:05:41Speaker 4: I'm I try to be a very positive person. And
- 1:05:44Speaker 4: that's just the life we got to try to live.
- 1:05:46Speaker 4: And if you're in that realm space where you're negative
- 1:05:48Speaker 4: or you are a negative person, like hey, I wish
- 1:05:50Speaker 4: you nothing but the best, but like hopefully you can
- 1:05:53Speaker 4: probably put this come join us. It's a lot nicer
- 1:05:55Speaker 4: over here, you know. It's not like you're drinking hot
- 1:05:58Speaker 4: coffee on a hot day, like refuse to do just
- 1:06:00Speaker 4: come over here, come to the brighter side, have some fun,
- 1:06:02Speaker 4: have a beer in your case of a buddy Mary,
- 1:06:04Speaker 4: and we'll call the day.
- 1:06:05Speaker 3: So call it absolutely.
- 1:06:08Speaker 4: On that note, we'll get out of here. I do
- 1:06:10Speaker 4: appreciate your time this morning. Before we get out of here.
- 1:06:14Speaker 4: I always like to give you know, any guess I
- 1:06:16Speaker 4: have on the show, whether they have any kind of
- 1:06:18Speaker 4: platform or not, just a moment to promote anything they
- 1:06:20Speaker 4: want to do, or they have a upcoming promote your socials.
- 1:06:23Speaker 4: So please let the other members or audience members of
- 1:06:27Speaker 4: the Canteen today long where they can find you or
- 1:06:30Speaker 4: what you got going on.

- 1:06:36Speaker 2: CANTEENA all of the above. No, it's it's been a blast.

- 1:06:41Speaker 2: hang out with somebody and just chat pick their brain
- 1:06:43Speaker 2: for whatever it is that we're going to talk about.
- 1:06:45Speaker 2: If anybody wants to do something similar, I mean, I

- 1:06:50Speaker 3: Here because this is what you know, the scuttle of the
- 1:06:52Speaker 3: podcast does.
- 1:06:52Speaker 2: Often we kind of will aim and go through the
- 1:06:56Speaker 2: lens of the military. But most of the time it's
- 1:06:58Speaker 2: very accessible to anybody and everybody.
- 1:07:00Speaker 3: We welcome anybody and everybody.
