- 0:01Speaker 1: Charge about.
- 0:04Speaker 2: Hey, Max Schurzer's back, Kip.
- 0:06Speaker 3: So here's a guy that you faced probably pretty frequently
- 0:10Speaker 3: in your career, and he's still trying to get the
- 0:15Speaker 3: job done in the big leagues. I mean, he had
- 0:17Speaker 3: a really up and down season last year. He's been
- 0:19Speaker 3: going through it, but then he pops up and pitches
- 0:22Speaker 3: valuable innings in the playoffs for the Blue Jays.
- 0:25Speaker 2: So it's a unique contract.
- 0:26Speaker 3: One year, three million dollars, ten million dollars in incentives.
- 0:30Speaker 3: What happens is he gets a million bucks if he
- 0:32Speaker 3: hits the sixty five innings pitched threshold.
- 0:34Speaker 2: Also has no trade production.
- 0:35Speaker 3: By the way, every ten innings after that he gets
- 0:38Speaker 3: a million bucks, So it's incentivized for him to pitch.
- 0:44Speaker 3: At the same time, Max is rich, Kip, and I
- 0:46Speaker 3: don't think he's worried about that. He just wants to
- 0:48Speaker 3: go out there on the team side to just get
- 0:50Speaker 3: some protection because he has been through quite a bit
- 0:53Speaker 3: injury wise, thumb issues that have plagued him for the
- 0:56Speaker 3: previous three seasons, and I guess that is also spilled
- 1:01Speaker 3: into causing soreness in his arm and his shoulder. He
- 1:05Speaker 3: said that the shots in his injured thumb were making
- 1:07Speaker 3: it difficult for him to pitch even the games and
- 1:10Speaker 3: causing him to miss time. But then of course he
- 1:12Speaker 3: pops up in the postseason three, seven, seven, and three
- 1:15Speaker 3: October outings started Game seven, held the Dodgers to one
- 1:18Speaker 3: run in four and third kept them in the game.
- 1:20Speaker 3: I mean, gave him their money's worth, just in a
- 1:22Speaker 3: unique way. So what do you think about Max joining
- 1:24Speaker 3: the Blue Jays again and giving them depth whenever he
- 1:28Speaker 3: is able to pitch. They are in good shape right now.
- 1:31Speaker 3: They have like six or seven starters as it is.
- 1:35Speaker 4: I like it a lot.
- 1:36Speaker 5: I think, like you just hinted on, I don't think
- 1:38Speaker 5: it's for the money. Max doesn't need the money. He's
- 1:40Speaker 5: certainly made more than enough in his career. This is
- 1:42Speaker 5: a guy who just can tell. I think he knows
- 1:45Speaker 5: he has at least one more year left in his
- 1:47Speaker 5: body and love for the game and wants to go
- 1:49Speaker 5: out there and play. I think he from the sounds
- 1:52Speaker 5: all things in considering Toronto and the group that they
- 1:56Speaker 5: have there is a very fun place to play.
- 1:57Speaker 4: I think he really liked the guys.
- 1:59Speaker 5: And the team and it gives him with the depth
- 2:03Speaker 5: of the starting rotation, it gives him a little bit
- 2:05Speaker 5: time to build back into it. He doesn't have to
- 2:07Speaker 5: be an every fit day guy and going to the
- 2:10Speaker 5: World Series. He likes where he's at and wants to
- 2:12Speaker 5: run it back with him. And I think your body
- 2:15Speaker 5: can can break down, and certainly does the older you get,
- 2:18Speaker 5: But I think the playoffs and a guy a competitor
- 2:22Speaker 5: of the level that Max is that adrenaline. So I'm
- 2:24Speaker 5: not surprised at all that his success comes back to
- 2:26Speaker 5: him in the playoffs again. And I think that's what
- 2:28Speaker 5: they're counting on one more time, is when that adrenaline hits,
- 2:31Speaker 5: that playoff baseball hits. Here's not too many guys he'd
- 2:34Speaker 5: like handing the ball off or you feel good about
- 2:35Speaker 5: handing the ball off more than Max Scherzer in his career.
- 2:39Speaker 1: He was great in the postseason last year. I mean
- 2:42Speaker 1: everyone's like, why is he starting? And then boom, he
- 2:44Speaker 1: goes out and delivers some great games for him and
- 2:47Speaker 1: almost got him another World Ses. People forget who was
- 2:49Speaker 1: on Texas in twenty three when they won. Right, he's
- 2:51Speaker 1: got so he's got two rings, right because nineteen with
- 2:54Speaker 1: Washington and twenty three with the Rangers. So why is
- 2:56Speaker 1: he doing this this look. I know Max very well.
- 2:59Speaker 1: I saw him.
- 3:00Speaker 4: He was he Nationals with Strasburg.
- 3:03Speaker 1: Yeah, it was him, and it was Strasburg and Corbyn
- 3:07Speaker 1: where the three that led that staff to that World
- 3:09Speaker 1: Series in nineteen. So but I played golf with Max
- 3:13Speaker 1: this offseason and he was like, I want to go
- 3:15Speaker 1: back to the Blue Jays. I mean, he pretty much
- 3:17Speaker 1: said it. He said, I want to go back to
- 3:19Speaker 1: the Blue Jays. And why why do you want to
- 3:21Speaker 1: go back to the Blue Jays? Just the atmosphere, the
- 3:24Speaker 1: way they treated him and his family, everything about the
- 3:27Speaker 1: Blue Jays was where he wanted to be. And he said,
- 3:29Speaker 1: if this is my last year, I want to go
- 3:31Speaker 1: out on a team that I like, the players I
- 3:33Speaker 1: respect and all the things. You know, in a winning team,
- 3:36Speaker 1: the team has a chance to win. Well, he got
- 3:38Speaker 1: his wish. Was it the money he wanted? I don't
- 3:40Speaker 1: think he needs the money he's got. He's got like
- 3:42Speaker 1: three hundred million in the bank with about two hundred
- 3:45Speaker 1: to million of it deferred, right Scott, So I think
- 3:48Speaker 1: that this is a great place for him and if
- 3:51Speaker 1: this is his last year, Max, I tipped my cap team, man,
- 3:53Speaker 1: you're one of my favorite dudes of all time. You're
- 3:56Speaker 1: one of my favorite people to interview, and you were
- 3:58Speaker 1: one of my favorite people to play again because of
- 4:00Speaker 1: the intensity showed. You got me out. It was respectful.
- 4:03Speaker 1: I got to hit off you, it was respectful. It
- 4:05Speaker 1: was always just a fun battle. So if this is
- 4:07Speaker 1: it and this is where the way he goes out,
- 4:09Speaker 1: good for you, Max. I hope you're healthy and give
- 4:10Speaker 1: him a full year. And if a full year, if
- 4:12Speaker 1: he only means twenty starts and four of those come
- 4:15Speaker 1: in the postseason, again, let's go.
- 4:18Speaker 2: Postseason wins are worth a lot of money.
- 4:21Speaker 3: If Max is going to give you some innings in
- 4:23Speaker 3: the postseason and their effective innings like last year, it's
- 4:27Speaker 3: worth something. The intensity, too, is really fun to watch
- 4:30Speaker 3: as a fan, appreciate this. It could be the last
- 4:32Speaker 3: year of Max. So as a fan, check out starts
- 4:36Speaker 3: or just games sometimes where Max is in the dugout
- 4:38Speaker 3: and he looks lit and he's running around and he's
- 4:41Speaker 3: fired up. And then yeah, if he gets you know what,
- 4:45Speaker 3: if he tries to get taken out of a start
- 4:47Speaker 3: where he's feeling it, you might have to you know,
- 4:49Speaker 3: duck or wear a helmet. Be careful, right, it takes.
- 4:54Speaker 5: It takes you a little bit to get used to
- 4:55Speaker 5: it as a competitor is going going against him. It's
- 4:58Speaker 5: like you think, first you he's screaming at you on
- 5:01Speaker 5: the mound, which there probably are times where he is,
- 5:03Speaker 5: but like he's kind of just talking to himself. You
- 5:05Speaker 5: see this guy that is just circling the mound, talking loud,
- 5:10Speaker 5: coming with it, and he's just all intense, and you're like,
- 5:13Speaker 5: you have to kind of choose which way you want
- 5:15Speaker 5: to react to it. Where it's like you're like, buddy,
- 5:17Speaker 5: what are you doing to call him down? But you
- 5:19Speaker 5: can't because if you take that route, he's already got
- 5:21Speaker 5: you where he wants you. So you kind of have
- 5:22Speaker 5: to meet him head on with the intensity and you
- 5:24Speaker 5: be like, all right, let's do this then. So he
- 5:26Speaker 5: makes a game of baseball better just the way he
- 5:28Speaker 5: approaches it himself.
- 5:29Speaker 4: But he is a competitor through and.
- 5:31Speaker 5: Through and has been a bulldog on that mound for
- 5:33Speaker 5: years and he has been a pleasure to watch.
- 5:36Speaker 3: He's got a bunch of kids, So one of them,
- 5:38Speaker 3: I know, is a competitor and was trying to line
- 5:41Speaker 3: all of this up and she got her wish this
- 5:44Speaker 3: was cute. We're gonna throw this out there. So this
- 5:47Speaker 3: post by m A sway back in December, is that
- 5:52Speaker 3: maybe that is that Max's wife maybe posting on there.
- 5:55Speaker 3: Back in December, Brooke wrote this letter. This is his
- 5:58Speaker 3: eight year old daughter put it in an envelope and asked, yeah,
- 6:01Speaker 3: the shurs are fam to mail it to the Blue Jays,
- 6:03Speaker 3: and now she gets her wish. Last season had an
- 6:06Speaker 3: amazing impact on the surs Er family and they're very
- 6:08Speaker 3: excited to be back. So she wrote, dear Blue Jays,
- 6:12Speaker 3: I am so sorry that you didn't win the World Series.
- 6:15Speaker 3: I hope that you win next time. I hope my
- 6:17Speaker 3: dad is back on the team. My whole family loves
- 6:19Speaker 3: spending time in Toronto with our dad. We loved the aquarium,
- 6:22Speaker 3: sand Tower, and of course the stadium. I'm looking forward
- 6:25Speaker 3: to coming back next season. Love, Max Suzer's daughter.
- 6:28Speaker 2: That's good, that's awesome.
- 6:30Speaker 1: You got a wish, she got it. It's always went out.
- 6:32Speaker 3: That's a really nicely put together note too, Like appropriately,
- 6:37Speaker 3: I apologize.
- 6:38Speaker 2: I feel bad that you guys didn't win.
- 6:40Speaker 3: So I'm thinking about you and I look forward to
- 6:43Speaker 3: hopefully seeing you again.
- 6:45Speaker 2: And there it is.
- 6:47Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean we said that's probably why he signed
- 6:49Speaker 5: back there. I think you hear stories how well they're
- 6:51Speaker 5: treated and how well the group gets along with each other,
- 6:54Speaker 5: the wives get along with each other. You hear stories
- 6:56Speaker 5: maybe about other organizations where they just don't treat the
- 7:01Speaker 5: families as well or something like that. So that's not nothing.
- 7:03Speaker 5: When you start to find out some organization really takes
- 7:06Speaker 5: care of its own and really does things the right way,
- 7:09Speaker 5: that's definitely not nothing. When people are looking at where
- 7:11Speaker 5: to sign.
- 7:13Speaker 2: Now, let me ask you this, will Max pitch in April?
- 7:19Speaker 1: I would say no.
- 7:20Speaker 2: Okay.
- 7:20Speaker 4: I would say no as well.
- 7:22Speaker 2: Okay.
- 7:22Speaker 3: I ask because it sounds like he could be eased
- 7:25Speaker 3: into the season and you're careful with innings and workload
- 7:30Speaker 3: and trying to make sure that you get him to
- 7:32Speaker 3: his best place by October. Of course, the Blue Jays
- 7:35Speaker 3: need to make the playoffs. I mean, they were a
- 7:37Speaker 3: very good team last year. It's a very competitive division.
- 7:39Speaker 3: The reason I bring it up is Gosswan's in the rotation.
- 7:43Speaker 3: Dylan Ceese was signed, Trey esavaged the rookie in there,
- 7:47Speaker 3: Jose Burrios coming back, Cody Ponce was signed, Shane Bieber
- 7:52Speaker 3: is eventually going to come back. They have options here,
- 7:56Speaker 3: and if they don't suffer significant injuries over the next
- 7:59Speaker 3: few weeks, they technically don't have a spot for Max,
- 8:04Speaker 3: or you have I guess a six man and you
- 8:06Speaker 3: got to get crafty.
- 8:08Speaker 1: I think they'll figure out a way to get Max
- 8:10Speaker 1: in there. I don't know that at the beginning of
- 8:12Speaker 1: the year because he's already late to camp. I know
- 8:14Speaker 1: it's not that late to camp, but he's already a
- 8:16Speaker 1: couple weeks behind. So I think they're gonna take it
- 8:19Speaker 1: slow with Max and make sure he's ready. And then
- 8:21Speaker 1: do you know what's funny is these things always play out.
- 8:23Speaker 1: Remember last year we said, oh, the Dodgers have twelve
- 8:25Speaker 1: starting pitchers and they barely scrape through at the end,
- 8:29Speaker 1: right every year? And then the Blue Jays had a
- 8:31Speaker 1: bunch of starters and they throw guys in the bullpen
- 8:33Speaker 1: and they use guys. And then Barrios was heard and
- 8:35Speaker 1: he didn't show up to the World Series, and there's
- 8:38Speaker 1: all these things, and these things all work themselves out
- 8:41Speaker 1: one way or another. It's crazy, Kip. It's always like
- 8:43Speaker 1: we have too many outfielders. And then the first week
- 8:45Speaker 1: in spring training something happens where an outfitlder goes down
- 8:48Speaker 1: or gets traded or something. It always seemed to work
- 8:50Speaker 1: its way out.
- 8:51Speaker 4: It works its way out.
- 8:52Speaker 5: And I'll say, if Toronto doesn't make the playoffs, it
- 8:54Speaker 5: will not be cut be because Max Shuars are going
- 8:56Speaker 5: to throw in April.
- 9:00Speaker 2: For no doubt.
- 9:01Speaker 3: And the smart teams know that you need to load up.
- 9:05Speaker 3: And it's not easy to do a j If you
- 9:10Speaker 3: have say seven or eight big league starters, you still
- 9:12Speaker 3: have to figure out what you're doing with them at
- 9:14Speaker 3: the start of the year, right, I mean, if you're
- 9:16Speaker 3: a good team, you need at least that in terms
- 9:18Speaker 3: of guys that you feel really good about. I'm not
- 9:21Speaker 3: talking about other guys that could emerged throughout.
- 9:23Speaker 2: The season from the minor leagues.
- 9:25Speaker 3: But if you do have eight starters, some of them
- 9:28Speaker 3: might not feel comfortable going to the bullpen. Max Shurtz
- 9:31Speaker 3: is not pitching out of the bullpen for the Blue
- 9:32Speaker 3: Jays during the regular season.
- 9:34Speaker 1: No, he might know, he might think, so, he might listen.
- 9:38Speaker 1: He might well, you just don't know. I mean, they
- 9:41Speaker 1: can't hold him down forever. They can't just say, you know,
- 9:44Speaker 1: he's in rookie ball or whatever. And stay in duneeding forever.
- 9:49Speaker 1: He's gonna have to pitch and if if there's not
- 9:51Speaker 1: a spot available, then maybe he's the long guy. I
- 9:55Speaker 1: don't know, they'll figure it out. That's almost they didn't
- 9:57Speaker 1: sign him put him on. I mean it's a big
- 9:59Speaker 1: league heal he signed. He didn't sign a minor league deal.
- 10:01Speaker 1: Oh no, So I mean he's gonna be on the team.
- 10:05Speaker 1: They got to have to use him at some point.
- 10:08Speaker 2: They're just prett yeah things.
- 10:11Speaker 1: Trust me. One thing we know about Max from having
- 10:13Speaker 1: him on the show multiple times. Max's didn't go into
- 10:16Speaker 1: those blindfolded. It's like he went into this. This was like, yeah,
- 10:18Speaker 1: I just want to sign no matter what, I guarantee you.
- 10:20Speaker 1: He said. Talks with the Blue Jays and they said, Max,
- 10:23Speaker 1: here's your role, here's how many starts you're gonna get.
- 10:25Speaker 1: We'll go from there.
- 10:27Speaker 3: Let's do a little look at Sea geeks upcoming matchups.
- 10:32Speaker 3: First of all, I just want to shout this out
- 10:34Speaker 3: and we're going to talk a lot more about the
- 10:35Speaker 3: World Baseball Classic coming up. So that's there, and there
- 10:39Speaker 3: are sold out games that you'll need to go to
- 10:41Speaker 3: Sea Geek for to get in on the action. I
- 10:44Speaker 3: mean next week on Friday are the first games in
- 10:48Speaker 3: the United States. So there's sites in Houston, there's gonna
- 10:51Speaker 3: be games in Miami, So if you want.
- 10:53Speaker 2: To check all of that out, go for it.
- 10:56Speaker 3: Also, I mean one that I have circled because the
- 10:59Speaker 3: US team gets a lot of attention Wednesday, March eleventh,
- 11:01Speaker 3: Dominican Republic against Venezuela. Yes, please on that one too,
- 11:06Speaker 3: So if you want to check out some of those matchups,
- 11:09Speaker 3: Sea Geek Territory ten is the code ten percent off.
- 11:12Speaker 3: And then I did look out a few matchups for
- 11:14Speaker 3: Friday to have been kind of pushing forward. So we're
- 11:17Speaker 3: doing our show here on Thursday. If you're looking for
- 11:20Speaker 3: some spring training action on Friday, Freddy Peralta for the
- 11:23Speaker 3: Mets in Jupiter. Brandon Sproute now with the Brewers, he's
- 11:26Speaker 3: going to take on the White Sox. Shane Boz for
- 11:29Speaker 3: the O's. These are a lot of names and new places.
- 11:32Speaker 3: You get to see what they look like in the
- 11:33Speaker 3: new uniform. Edward Cabrera for the Cubs, and we have
- 11:36Speaker 3: a lot of those coming up on Friday. And then
- 11:39Speaker 3: if you want to see Chris Sale, he's pitching for
- 11:41Speaker 3: Atlanta against the Red Sox is old team. I know
- 11:44Speaker 3: you're only getting a few innings out of these guys,
- 11:46Speaker 3: but you know tickets for some of these spots can
- 11:49Speaker 3: sell out. And then you go to Sea Geek and boom,
- 11:51Speaker 3: you got ten percent off. Plus they're gonna give you
- 11:53Speaker 3: an idea of if you're landing a good deal. Each
- 11:56Speaker 3: ticket rated on a scale of one to ten, So
- 12:00Speaker 3: atory ten ten percent off your next set of tickets
- 12:01Speaker 3: at Sea Geek using the promo code tr r I
- 12:05Speaker 3: t o R Y ten. Make sure you click the
- 12:07Speaker 3: link in the description to download the app and have
- 12:09Speaker 3: the code automatically added to your account so you can
- 12:11Speaker 3: use it later.
- 12:12Speaker 2: Props to seat Geek in the Weeds Power rankings.
- 12:22Speaker 3: Time, let's look at the top ten lineups according to
- 12:25Speaker 3: Matt Snyder from CBS. So he's got the Baltimore Orioles
- 12:30Speaker 3: at ten. I do want to make an important note
- 12:33Speaker 3: right off the jump here. This list came out a
- 12:35Speaker 3: little over a week ago. It was before the Jordan
- 12:37Speaker 3: Westburg elbow injury, So take that with however you want.
- 12:42Speaker 3: He did already put this out when we learned about
- 12:45Speaker 3: the Jackson Holiday Hammett injury. He'll be back hopefully a
- 12:49Speaker 3: few weeks into the season. Nine Phillies eight, Cubs, Blue
- 12:53Speaker 3: Jays at seven. He puts the Mariners at six, the
- 12:56Speaker 3: A's at five, the Mets at four, Braves offense at three,
- 12:59Speaker 3: Yankees at to, Dodgers ed one. Same thing like we
- 13:03Speaker 3: said yesterday with the rotations. He's looking for star power,
- 13:06Speaker 3: he's looking for depth. He said, he's only one person.
- 13:10Speaker 3: Last year he put the Braves at two. They ended
- 13:13Speaker 3: up more middle of the pack. Also didn't have a
- 13:16Speaker 3: Kunya for the beginning of the year. Riley took a
- 13:18Speaker 3: step back anyway, Slice and dice. I actually had a
- 13:21Speaker 3: lot of opinions here, not as much of who should
- 13:24Speaker 3: be in and who should be out, but I didn't
- 13:26Speaker 3: love the way everything was ranked.
- 13:29Speaker 1: Well, I'm gonna start with the mirrors. Don't we always
- 13:31Speaker 1: say the mirrors can't When did they do this offseason?
- 13:35Speaker 2: They picked up Brendan Donovan, and.
- 13:38Speaker 1: They traded Suarez for Donovan at the end of the year, right,
- 13:41Speaker 1: and they brought back Naylor and they lost Polanco, they
- 13:44Speaker 1: lost Polonko.
- 13:45Speaker 2: I think the offense for I.
- 13:47Speaker 1: Mean Adams, I mean I think they should be closer
- 13:49Speaker 1: to eight or nine. I think six is a little
- 13:51Speaker 1: bit high for me. I think there's a little bit
- 13:53Speaker 1: of not saying that the Mirrors don't have a good lineup,
- 13:55Speaker 1: but I think Julio have a better year start to finish. Possibly.
- 13:59Speaker 1: I don't know if Cal is going to hit sixty again,
- 14:01Speaker 1: but I mean I like this lineup. I mean, I
- 14:04Speaker 1: just look at the ops. Plus, I mean, Victor Roblaze
- 14:06Speaker 1: has had had that great month and a half. He
- 14:08Speaker 1: got him a nice contract, and he was kind of
- 14:11Speaker 1: Cole Young. We don't know what we're going to get
- 14:12Speaker 1: out of JP. Crawford is a nice player. I don't know.
- 14:16Speaker 1: To me, that's that's kind of a little bit high.
- 14:20Speaker 1: At six, I.
- 14:21Speaker 3: Think last the Mariners offense in the regular season. Of course, yeah,
- 14:25Speaker 3: Cal had a ridiculous year, But I'm with you, maybe
- 14:28Speaker 3: lower towards the you know, seven to ten range.
- 14:31Speaker 1: Yes, yeah, I think six is a little bit high.
- 14:33Speaker 2: Okay.
- 14:34Speaker 1: Uh the Orioles to me at ten is high too.
- 14:36Speaker 1: I think really just because Okay, look at their offense
- 14:39Speaker 1: last year. I mean, I know they added Pete Adley
- 14:42Speaker 1: down Yere, Gunner down Yere, Jackson Holliday hasn't proven himself yet.
- 14:46Speaker 2: Westburg's hurt Westburg's always hurt.
- 14:48Speaker 1: They did Calser didn't do much last year, right, I mean, Okay,
- 14:51Speaker 1: Taylor Ward great, but Pete great. But Gunner needs to
- 14:55Speaker 1: have a good year. Adley needs to figure it out.
- 14:57Speaker 1: Dylan Beaver's proved nothing, Blaze Alexander Kobe Mayo hasn't done anything.
- 15:02Speaker 5: Desios a lot of potential for their I think if
- 15:06Speaker 5: they reach more potentials. I think Orioles do belong in
- 15:09Speaker 5: the top ten. But you can definitely make a case,
- 15:11Speaker 5: like you are right now that they might not be
- 15:13Speaker 5: there yet.
- 15:15Speaker 1: I mean, kif how many teams did you play on that?
- 15:17Speaker 1: Like if man, if everything goes right, we're gonna win
- 15:19Speaker 1: the World Series. I mean it's like there's always there's
- 15:21Speaker 1: so many ifs. I don't know.
- 15:23Speaker 3: I think, yeah, I think they are. I think they could, yeah,
- 15:28Speaker 3: go back a drop. I think, let me give you
- 15:31Speaker 3: a few because we're pushing teams back. Let me give
- 15:33Speaker 3: you a few that I think should go up.
- 15:35Speaker 1: Okay, give me some up.
- 15:36Speaker 3: The Blue Jays are at seven. I think they should
- 15:38Speaker 3: be at two. Okay, l a one cool, get it,
- 15:43Speaker 3: Roger's fine, Yeah, two Blue Jays, Blattie Prime. The big
- 15:49Speaker 3: thing is yes, they lost bo. I'm very high on Okamodo,
- 15:53Speaker 3: and I think Ernie Clement has found something and is
- 15:56Speaker 3: going to go from more of like a slightly above
- 15:59Speaker 3: average bat to as someone who could be all star status.
- 16:03Speaker 3: I think what we saw in the postseason, it's not
- 16:06Speaker 3: going to be that all year. He's not gonna hit
- 16:07Speaker 3: four hundred, but I think he's going to be special.
- 16:10Speaker 3: That lineup has the right mix of slug and contact.
- 16:15Speaker 3: I think it's a really good lineup. Also, are we
- 16:17Speaker 3: talking about these power rankings for regular season or overall
- 16:20Speaker 3: for the year. For me, I'm factoring in how I
- 16:22Speaker 3: think these teams and these offenses are going to do,
- 16:25Speaker 3: not just in the regular season, Kip, but in the playoffs.
- 16:28Speaker 3: And for me, the Yankees are going to score more
- 16:30Speaker 3: runs most likely than the Blue Jays. They're a home
- 16:32Speaker 3: run machine right they were last year. But which lineup
- 16:35Speaker 3: do you like better in the playoffs? Toronto's lineup for
- 16:38Speaker 3: the Yankees lineup?
- 16:39Speaker 4: Toronto's I think, yeah, I have the Yankees.
- 16:43Speaker 3: So for me, when I was trying to rewrite this
- 16:45Speaker 3: up for my top three, I kept the Dodgers at one,
- 16:47Speaker 3: I put the Blue Jays at two, and the Yankees
- 16:48Speaker 3: at three.
- 16:50Speaker 4: I think the Cubs should be a little bit higher too.
- 16:52Speaker 5: I like the way they they had a really good
- 16:54Speaker 5: balance of they beat a lot of people in a
- 16:56Speaker 5: lot of different ways. I thought that they extend they go,
- 17:00Speaker 5: they go for the extra bases, they run the base
- 17:01Speaker 5: as well, and they steal a lot of bases, so
- 17:03Speaker 5: I think they create a lot of runs too. Adding Bragman,
- 17:06Speaker 5: then adding a year of experience for PCA and some
- 17:10Speaker 5: of these other guys, I think they should maybe move
- 17:12Speaker 5: up there will be up there by.
- 17:13Speaker 4: The end of the year as well.
- 17:15Speaker 2: I agree. That was my other team that I think
- 17:17Speaker 2: should jump up.
- 17:18Speaker 5: Trying to think of some other teams that aren't on
- 17:20Speaker 5: this list or aren't that aren't should.
- 17:22Speaker 1: Go down for me a little bit too, Yeah, Braves
- 17:24Speaker 1: should go down just because last year they just weren't
- 17:26Speaker 1: there a lot. It's been two years now since they've
- 17:28Speaker 1: been a great offense. I think everyone's still looking at
- 17:31Speaker 1: from the year they said all those records that was
- 17:33Speaker 1: a long time ago.
- 17:33Speaker 5: Now, is there any team that's not on the list
- 17:35Speaker 5: that either of you two would have?
- 17:38Speaker 3: So I started going through this, I actually think the
- 17:40Speaker 3: ten on here is pretty solid.
- 17:42Speaker 1: Diamond we're at Diamondbacks camp today, Kip. They've scored a
- 17:46Speaker 1: lot of runs the last few years.
- 17:47Speaker 2: They lost Naylor and Gino something.
- 17:49Speaker 1: But they brought Arnauto in and they and they.
- 17:54Speaker 5: First place Santana and some others. But I think they
- 17:57Speaker 5: were their problem last year was they were very top heavy.
- 18:00Speaker 5: They're they're the top through top four hitters in their
- 18:03Speaker 5: lineup were kind of.
- 18:06Speaker 4: Carrying most of the bulk of that run scoring.
- 18:08Speaker 5: I think as if you got to the bottom of
- 18:10Speaker 5: that order, they weren't turning over the lineup to be
- 18:13Speaker 5: I guess in this top ten they weren't turning it
- 18:15Speaker 5: over enough.
- 18:17Speaker 1: You can look at every team when you had Juri
- 18:18Speaker 1: Gurriel over that, how long.
- 18:20Speaker 2: Is he o? For a while?
- 18:21Speaker 1: Okay, but at some point he's coming back. I mean,
- 18:24Speaker 1: we just showed the Maricers. The bottom two were very
- 18:26Speaker 1: similar to these two.
- 18:27Speaker 2: These bottom Oh, I think this team can definitely make
- 18:30Speaker 2: a case.
- 18:30Speaker 1: I mean, if Corman, Carroll, Cote, Marte, Perdomo, Gaby Marino,
- 18:34Speaker 1: Peven Smith, can Rake, Arnatto we talk to he's gonna
- 18:37Speaker 1: have a bounce back here. I think, I mean, you
- 18:39Speaker 1: throw Gurriel in there, that's a pretty damn good lineup.
- 18:43Speaker 3: Yeah, I think Guriel might not be until late in
- 18:45Speaker 3: the season. They could looks pretty bad. But I'm with you.
- 18:51Speaker 3: I think they could sneak in. So what would you do?
- 18:53Speaker 3: Maybe put them in and take Baltimore out. No, yeah,
- 18:56Speaker 3: I think the Oils offense is gonna be good, though.
- 18:58Speaker 3: I do think some guys are gonna bounce back here,
- 19:01Speaker 3: so hey, we're gonna get.
- 19:04Speaker 1: What about the White Sox. The White Sox had the
- 19:06Speaker 1: best offense in the American League the second half last year.
- 19:09Speaker 4: That can't be true. Is that true?
- 19:12Speaker 1: They look at the number, it was one of the best.
- 19:14Speaker 1: I don't know if it was the best, but it
- 19:16Speaker 1: was one of the best. Wow, the numbers were crazy.
- 19:20Speaker 2: I do like kIPS call out for the Cubs Mets.
- 19:23Speaker 2: For me, four is too high.
- 19:25Speaker 3: I think putting them, you know, more in the again,
- 19:28Speaker 3: maybe six to eight, six to nine range. They did
- 19:32Speaker 3: lose Pete Nimo's pretty consistent in there. There's some question, right,
- 19:36Speaker 3: I know they added some offense. Luise Robert, what does
- 19:38Speaker 3: he look like? How much does it wanlay Beau Blanco bo.
- 19:41Speaker 2: So it's good. I just I don't know is it
- 19:43Speaker 2: top five good? I don't know.
- 19:46Speaker 3: So all right, that was fun, a little mixing and matching.
- 19:49Speaker 3: Do we have time to do a quick read or
- 19:51Speaker 3: we're going right to the conversation here?
- 19:53Speaker 1: Hold on before we go. So the Yankees game is
- 19:55Speaker 1: on on TV right here. Yes, they're showing a hotel
- 19:59Speaker 1: that is not in Tampa. Aren't they based in Tampa?
- 20:01Speaker 1: That's the dances are that is not in Tampa. It's
- 20:04Speaker 1: in Tampa Bay, but it's in Saint Pete.
- 20:09Speaker 2: So you're saying they messed up there.
- 20:10Speaker 1: Well, I'm just asking is that strange because they're based
- 20:13Speaker 1: in Tampa Tampa like Tampa proper. I think it is
- 20:17Speaker 1: where the Rays play and that's like kind of close
- 20:19Speaker 1: to the race stadium. I don't know.
- 20:20Speaker 2: I think they're just showing scenes from the area.
- 20:23Speaker 3: So yeah, yeah, and who knows, maybe they were talking
- 20:29Speaker 3: about something specifically out there, like hey, I went to
- 20:33Speaker 3: this great spot in Saint Pete.
- 20:34Speaker 1: An hour away. Yeah no, I don't think Michael k
- 20:38Speaker 1: is driving there, just.
- 20:39Speaker 2: I like Saint Pete. Yeah.
- 20:43Speaker 3: Oh, I'm told we have seconds to go and then
- 20:46Speaker 3: we're going to bring in our guest joining us.
- 20:48Speaker 4: Flat.
- 20:49Speaker 1: Is he good?
- 20:50Speaker 2: We're adjusting the mic? Hold on? Hold on, all right?
- 20:56Speaker 2: Come back to us. Thank you.
- 20:57Speaker 1: So do you see what I'm saying? Though? I think
- 20:59Speaker 1: I get it. Like if you say Tampa Rays, they're like,
- 21:01Speaker 1: it's Tampa Bay Rays. Like the Pampa fans get really
- 21:05Speaker 1: mad about that thing. So then when they it's the
- 21:08Speaker 1: Tampa Tarpans or the Yankees team. So there's no Tarpans
- 21:11Speaker 1: in Tampa.
- 21:12Speaker 2: But Tampa Bay includes Saint Pete and Tampa.
- 21:16Speaker 1: I know it also includes like Sarasota. Like that's all
- 21:19Speaker 1: considered the Tampa Bay area, right, I don't know, That's
- 21:22Speaker 1: what I'm just I don't know. It's just a conversation question.
- 21:25Speaker 2: We can text one of the Yankee people and ask
- 21:28Speaker 2: them what's going on there.
- 21:30Speaker 1: It's not cheap to stay there. I know that.
- 21:32Speaker 2: Oh. Frankie made a good point here.
- 21:33Speaker 3: He said, it's like when there's a Jets or a
- 21:36Speaker 3: Giants game and the TV networks will show the Empire
- 21:38Speaker 3: State Building. Are you okay with that because that's not
- 21:40Speaker 3: even in the same state.
- 21:42Speaker 1: Well, why aren't they the New Jersey Jets? And then
- 21:44Speaker 1: it's like the Anaheim Angels of Los Angeles, of Orange County,
- 21:47Speaker 1: of Newport Coast.
- 21:48Speaker 2: They just won't give us the credit. In Jersey.
- 21:51Speaker 1: I mean, nobody wants to claim New Jersey.
- 21:54Speaker 2: I'm claiming Zach Allin.
- 21:55Speaker 1: Zach Allen's the only person I've ever met that claims
- 21:57Speaker 1: New Jersey.
- 22:05Speaker 2: We covered chures earlier.
- 22:06Speaker 3: That's a major league contract for him with the Blue Jays,
- 22:09Speaker 3: minor league signing for the Yankees. Also around that same
- 22:12Speaker 3: time period that it was reported one year, two and
- 22:15Speaker 3: a half million bucks if he makes the major league team.
- 22:17Speaker 3: Talking about Randall, Gritchik and the Yankees were looking for
- 22:20Speaker 3: a right handed, power bat outfielder supposedly to play a
- 22:23Speaker 3: little left field against lefties. Instead of Grisham, they'd sit
- 22:26Speaker 3: him and move Bellinger over to center field. So this
- 22:29Speaker 3: one has a pretty legit chance to stick. I think
- 22:32Speaker 3: the minor league deal gives the Yankees the flexibility aj
- 22:35Speaker 3: to just make sure that he looks like himself. I mean,
- 22:37Speaker 3: from twenty twenty two to twenty twenty four, is ops
- 22:40Speaker 3: against left handed pitching nine to one. That was ninth
- 22:44Speaker 3: best in baseball. Last year that number plunged to seven
- 22:46Speaker 3: oh three. So you see him maybe for a few
- 22:48Speaker 3: weeks in camp. Yankees are analytic nerds. They go, okay,
- 22:52Speaker 3: the bat speed.
- 22:53Speaker 2: And this and that is looking like it did, and
- 22:55Speaker 2: then if that's good, he makes the team.
- 22:57Speaker 1: Who plays center field for the Yankees. Grisham left handed,
- 23:01Speaker 1: who plays left field for the Aches. Belly Belly left handed, Domingus.
- 23:07Speaker 1: Where's he played probably Triple A now well, but he
- 23:11Speaker 1: could he was a better Which side of the plate
- 23:12Speaker 1: was he better on?
- 23:13Speaker 2: He was better left handed handed right?
- 23:16Speaker 1: So this gives them protection for when they face those
- 23:20Speaker 1: lefties he faced. Someone needs a day off, or they
- 23:23Speaker 1: want to give someone a break, and he can play
- 23:24Speaker 1: center field and he can play left field. So this
- 23:27Speaker 1: is a perfect signing for a team to come in
- 23:30Speaker 1: and help build their roster to be not only great
- 23:34Speaker 1: against right handed pitching, but also great against left handed
- 23:36Speaker 1: pitch well.
- 23:37Speaker 3: And they I mean Belly and Grisham can play center,
- 23:40Speaker 3: so you figure Grisham, Yes.
- 23:41Speaker 1: But if you need to give someone a day off, Belly,
- 23:44Speaker 1: maybe maybe Belly's banged up and you need to give
- 23:46Speaker 1: him a d H day.
- 23:47Speaker 2: Or if a first baseman gets hurt and then he
- 23:49Speaker 2: needs to play first.
- 23:49Speaker 1: Yeah, there's a million different options. Yes, and maybe lefties
- 23:53Speaker 1: you don't want to you don't want to use somebody.
- 23:54Speaker 1: Let's say Stanton can't play and you don't want to
- 23:57Speaker 1: use Ben Rice, you know you you can put him
- 23:59Speaker 1: at the This is a depth signing. That's a nice signing.
- 24:05Speaker 2: Agreed.
- 24:06Speaker 3: Yeah, And this is a guy who many thought was
- 24:07Speaker 3: going to get a major league contract, ends up having
- 24:10Speaker 3: to wait a while and still will make himself close
- 24:12Speaker 3: to three million bucks if he makes the team. So
- 24:14Speaker 3: it's just a little bit of a proved situation for
- 24:16Speaker 3: a few weeks during spring training to see if he
- 24:19Speaker 3: breaks camp. We're going to get into all of the
- 24:22Speaker 3: nitty gritty details about why you should switch to Mint Mobile,

- 25:30Speaker 3: looking at trends for the World Baseball Classic, which technically
- 25:33Speaker 3: starts middle of next week and then the first games
- 25:36Speaker 3: in the United States or next week on Friday. USA
- 25:40Speaker 3: is getting thirty five point five percent of the ticket,
- 25:45Speaker 3: Japan thirty point three percent, and the Dominican Republic fifteen
- 25:49Speaker 3: point three percent.
- 25:50Speaker 2: It was cute.
- 25:51Speaker 3: I heard you guys the other day trying to learn
- 25:53Speaker 3: the difference between ticket and handle when I wasn't on.
- 25:56Speaker 1: That we needed to do that day.
- 25:58Speaker 2: Was that Trisha Aorlana? I think it was Trician.
- 26:00Speaker 1: I think it was I still don't know the difference.
- 26:02Speaker 3: You guys were like, ticket handle it okay, it's simple. Here,
- 26:07Speaker 3: ticket bets, right, so I can place Let's say ten
- 26:11Speaker 3: bets were placed on the WBC winner and eight of
- 26:15Speaker 3: them were placed on the USA. That means eighty percent
- 26:18Speaker 3: of tickets were placed on USA. To me, ticket is
- 26:24Speaker 3: cool to just show the quantity and how many different
- 26:27Speaker 3: people are placing. But obviously handle is where the heavy
- 26:31Speaker 3: money goes. I like looking at both because handle also
- 26:36Speaker 3: is going to the heavy hitters and what they're doing, right,
- 26:38Speaker 3: Like there are guys that are slowing down.
- 26:41Speaker 2: Yeah, so I like to see both. Does that make sense?
- 26:44Speaker 1: So now on the handle is the money spent the
- 26:47Speaker 1: tickets or people? Now like, there could be a million
- 26:49Speaker 1: people that buy a five dollars ticket, correct for five million,
- 26:52Speaker 1: but there could be ten people that could see spend
- 26:55Speaker 1: ten million. That's a higher handle. Yeah.
- 26:57Speaker 3: So if it's ten million bucks that was thrown on
- 27:00Speaker 3: WBC winners and let's say eight million of that was
- 27:03Speaker 3: thrown on USA, then we're at the eighty percent. Again,
- 27:06Speaker 3: the one's looking at money ones looking at ticket quantity.
- 27:10Speaker 2: Okay, so this is ticket quantity.
- 27:12Speaker 1: And it's mostly the USA. Yeah I know that again.
- 27:16Speaker 3: But actually the thing to point out here is Japan
- 27:19Speaker 3: is getting a lot of love as well. And I
- 27:21Speaker 3: pointed because they want three of these things and there's
- 27:23Speaker 3: good value there, so if you're placing the twenty dollars ticket,
- 27:28Speaker 3: it doesn't get you a long way on Team USA.
- 27:30Speaker 3: When they're minus, they've been hanging around, you know, minus
- 27:33Speaker 3: won ten.
- 27:34Speaker 1: Actually liked the Dominicans chances. I do too, just because
- 27:40Speaker 1: because there's one thing that they have. I don't know
- 27:42Speaker 1: how the brackets match up, but I like the way
- 27:44Speaker 1: that they're like they wouldn't. I don't think they'd have
- 27:46Speaker 1: to see USA maybe till semifinals, or Japan maybe to
- 27:51Speaker 1: the semi finals. So I think they can go a
- 27:54Speaker 1: long way until they I don't know exactly how I
- 27:57Speaker 1: got to look. I'll dig in next week when I
- 27:59Speaker 1: start preparing for them. Yeah, but I think Dominican because
- 28:03Speaker 1: they play where they play, and then they play they
- 28:06Speaker 1: and then when they play in Miami while the US
- 28:08Speaker 1: is still in Houston for the quarterfinals, am I right?
- 28:11Speaker 1: And then they then they come together in Miami for
- 28:14Speaker 1: the Semis.
- 28:15Speaker 3: I don't remember who faces who in the Semis if
- 28:17Speaker 3: we get to that point. I got to do my
- 28:18Speaker 3: homework on the bracket side too, but I did do
- 28:21Speaker 3: this last night.
- 28:22Speaker 2: I was looking at what.
- 28:23Speaker 3: The rotation will be for the pool stage for them
- 28:26Speaker 3: their first four games. Here's their rotation for the Dominican
- 28:31Speaker 3: Christopher Sanchez, Louis Severino, Brian BeO, Sandy al Contra.
- 28:36Speaker 2: It's a good four.
- 28:37Speaker 1: Say that again.
- 28:38Speaker 3: Christopher Sanchez, Louis Severino, Brian BeO, Sandy al Contra.
- 28:43Speaker 1: That's pretty good.
- 28:44Speaker 2: It's really good four.
- 28:45Speaker 1: I mean, it's not skiing school, but it's pretty darn good.
- 28:48Speaker 3: But I think that four might just go in rotation
- 28:51Speaker 3: for the most part. Pitch, you know, they might give
- 28:53Speaker 3: them what three the three starts. I think you can
- 28:55Speaker 3: kind of pull off in this tournament.
- 28:58Speaker 1: Too.
- 28:58Speaker 3: You can get too maybe two starts three because oh
- 29:03Speaker 3: you're right, it's over eleven ish days because they start
- 29:06Speaker 3: on Friday.
- 29:06Speaker 2: Yeah, so so two starts from them.
- 29:08Speaker 3: But you you wrap that back or you plan that,
- 29:10Speaker 3: I mean, make sure you The tricky thing is it's
- 29:13Speaker 3: like quarterfinals. Do you throw your best starter out there?
- 29:15Speaker 3: Do you save them for semis or for finals. Some
- 29:18Speaker 3: of it has to do, of course, with the rest
- 29:19Speaker 3: of recovery days. But that's a good four. I mean,
- 29:22Speaker 3: those guys can pitch and do or die games and
- 29:25Speaker 3: shut you down.
- 29:27Speaker 5: Did Japan or Dominican get hit at all with that
- 29:30Speaker 5: with guys not being able to play. From insurance standpoints.
- 29:34Speaker 3: I think every team got hit a little, but every
- 29:36Speaker 3: team technically got hit a little, and we don't know
- 29:38Speaker 3: all of the players, but they didn't get hit like
- 29:40Speaker 3: Puerto Rico or or even Mexico as far as I know.
- 29:43Speaker 3: So the Dominican team is sacked. Like those are four
- 29:46Speaker 3: good starters. Their lineup is sick. Their lineup can keep up.
- 29:49Speaker 2: I mean, their lineup is as good as they.
- 29:52Speaker 4: They'll always have a nasty lineup.
- 29:54Speaker 1: By the way. Yeah interesting. I know people are gonna
- 29:56Speaker 1: say whatever they want to say on this, but if
- 29:58Speaker 1: you look at the two the four pool, Yeah right,
- 30:01Speaker 1: so US has Mexico, Italy, great brand in Brazil, they
- 30:04Speaker 1: should win that pool, I mean obviously barring major upset.
- 30:06Speaker 1: But then if you go to Pool A, it's Puerto Rico, Cuba, Canada, Panama, Columbia.
- 30:11Speaker 1: They've kind of set it up for a little bit
- 30:13Speaker 1: of an easier path for them because they wouldn't play
- 30:17Speaker 1: the other side of the bracket to the finals. Okay,
- 30:20Speaker 1: the other side of the bracket pool see is Japan, Austaria, Korea,
- 30:24Speaker 1: check and type A. Okay, Japan Korea probably okay, but
- 30:28Speaker 1: then you go Venezuelan and Dominican, Israel Nicaragua like, okay,
- 30:33Speaker 1: Venezuelan and Dominican, fine.
- 30:34Speaker 2: Those are two of the top four teams.
- 30:36Speaker 1: But then those two teams have to play each other.
- 30:39Speaker 1: So Japan, Korea, Venezuela and Dominican have to play each
- 30:42Speaker 1: other in the quarterfinals. The winners and losers they play
- 30:47Speaker 1: each other, right, and then you get to the semifinals
- 30:50Speaker 1: where Dominican, Venezuela and Korea Japan have to two of
- 30:53Speaker 1: those will have to play to get to the finals,
- 30:54Speaker 1: whereas USA could be like playing like Puerto Rico with
- 30:57Speaker 1: Outland door Corea and all those guys Canada without Freddy
- 31:00Speaker 1: Freeman and all those guys Cuba with Alexi Rmier who's
- 31:03Speaker 1: seventy two years old playing shortstoff for him. I mean,
- 31:07Speaker 1: it's just interesting when you look at now that I've
- 31:09Speaker 1: looked at it, it's like, whoa, Okay.
- 31:10Speaker 2: We're gonna spend a lot of time on this.
- 31:12Speaker 3: It's interesting the way the tournaments set up, and then
- 31:14Speaker 3: you get to do or die of course after pool play,
- 31:17Speaker 3: so hey, we also of course have march right around

- 31:58Speaker 3: problem more concern called Wyne Andred Gambler. Two things to
- 32:12Speaker 3: do here. In slap number one, there was this article
- 32:15Speaker 3: put out by Randy Miller with some quotes from Carlo
- 32:18Speaker 3: to stand that he's gonna try and play, obviously as
- 32:20Speaker 3: much as he can this year. But he can't open
- 32:23Speaker 3: a bag of chips, he can't open a bottle like
- 32:27Speaker 3: a bottle cap. He's that much pain from his elbows
- 32:32Speaker 3: what would they call tennis elbow or whatever. So I'm like,
- 32:34Speaker 3: how it's hard for Okay, take me right, no hitting skills.
- 32:40Speaker 3: It's hard to hear from one of the strongest dudes
- 32:43Speaker 3: that he can't open sewda bottle or a bag of chips,
- 32:47Speaker 3: and he can hit rockets.
- 32:49Speaker 4: What's not ideal.
- 32:50Speaker 5: It's not what you want to hear going into the seasons.
- 32:55Speaker 5: As players, you you literally design and shape your body
- 32:58Speaker 5: for the motions of the game. So I think the
- 33:00Speaker 5: rest of his body is built to do the swinging motion.
- 33:03Speaker 5: I think that's all the Yankees really need out of
- 33:05Speaker 5: him is to be able to swing. But don't love
- 33:09Speaker 5: hearing that quote going into a season where you're counting
- 33:12Speaker 5: on this guy or to give you maybe four hundred,
- 33:15Speaker 5: five hundred, four hundred bats at least. But it's just
- 33:17Speaker 5: that can't be a good sign AJ going into the season.
- 33:21Speaker 1: Kip. But I never heard of such a thing. I'm sorry,
- 33:23Speaker 1: I just never heard. I never heard of such a thing.
- 33:25Speaker 1: He can't open.
- 33:26Speaker 4: I'd be like, yeah, I know, I don't, I don't.
- 33:29Speaker 1: You can't do this, or you can't open a bag
- 33:31Speaker 1: of chip.
- 33:31Speaker 2: But then you can go which you can.
- 33:33Speaker 1: Go home, because then how do you get your like extension,
- 33:35Speaker 1: Like your elbows are moving when you swing. It's like
- 33:37Speaker 1: it's not like you just stand there and go and
- 33:39Speaker 1: they never move like you got to get extension. I
- 33:42Speaker 1: don't know. Listen, if you can do it, good for him.
- 33:44Speaker 1: But the only thing I can say is adrenaline. Adrenaline
- 33:47Speaker 1: kicks in and he's got those five at bats a
- 33:49Speaker 1: game where he gets maybe five to ten swings a game,
- 33:52Speaker 1: and for those five to ten swings, he just guts
- 33:54Speaker 1: it out court zone. I don't know if I'm not.
- 33:57Speaker 5: If I'm on the il too, I'm opening a lot
- 33:59Speaker 5: of bad chips and there's a bottles, So it's it's
- 34:03Speaker 5: gonna be a rough go for him.
- 34:04Speaker 3: Then you might be able to do it differently too,
- 34:06Speaker 3: like with your swing where it's like to open the
- 34:10Speaker 3: bag of chips.
- 34:11Speaker 4: I don't if his teeth, I don't like that. I'm
- 34:14Speaker 4: not one of those guys.
- 34:16Speaker 1: Tools teeth or tools kipped.
- 34:18Speaker 4: They are tools. I'm just saying I'm not one of
- 34:19Speaker 4: those guys.
- 34:21Speaker 2: Yeah, well, he's got the pearly whites. He's good.
- 34:23Speaker 3: He's probably got the nice years in there too. Yeah,
- 34:26Speaker 3: no knowing big g. He takes care of the smile.
- 34:29Speaker 3: But hope he feels better. Legitimately, we're fabing ale fun
- 34:33Speaker 3: with it, but I mean for Yankee fans, that definitely
- 34:36Speaker 3: doesn't sound great. You'd rather have a guy that's not
- 34:39Speaker 3: in that kind of pain. So we'll keep an eye
- 34:41Speaker 3: on it.
- 34:42Speaker 4: Uh.
- 34:43Speaker 3: Fasten All engineering the spring training tour. Kip's taking over
- 34:46Speaker 3: here for one more day. AJ will be back next
- 34:50Speaker 3: week in Florida. Kip's got the San Francisco Giants to
- 34:53Speaker 3: visit tomorrow Friday, so we'll hang with some Giants. If
- 34:57Speaker 3: you have any players that you'd like us to request,
- 35:00Speaker 3: No promises, but we'll try then next week Cardinals, Marlins, Mets, Nats, Astros.
- 35:05Speaker 3: All you need to know basically is we're hitting every
- 35:07Speaker 3: team in Florida besides the Yankees for reasons that we'll
- 35:10Speaker 3: get into another time. Boul Territory engineered by fast All Kip,
- 35:15Speaker 3: good stuff. We'll see you on Friday at Giants camp.
- 35:18Speaker 4: Bye guys
