- 0:14royalty. Adam Cox.
- 0:16These recordings took place live from Adam's clinic in London's
- 0:19world famous Harley Street. This podcast features powerful
- 0:23hypnosis, so do not listen while driving or operating machinery.
- 0:27This recording is not suitable for those with epilepsy or
- 0:30severe mental health issues, so get yourself comfortable and
- 0:34enjoy today's episode of The Hypnotist.
- 0:40Hi, it's Adam here. And in this episode of The
- 0:43Hypnotist, you're going to be listening to a hypnosis session
- 0:46designed to really change the meaning given to cocaine.
- 0:52And it was working with a client that had a heavy daily use of
- 0:56cocaine that really wanted to change that.
- 0:59And partly this is about two different things.
- 1:04This particular client was from the Persian region, so
- 1:08originally from Iran. So therefore the Persian New
- 1:12Year was taking place at the same time where this session was
- 1:15recorded. So it has certain symbols and
- 1:19metaphors that link to some of the traditions of the Persian
- 1:24New Year, but also it has a metaphor of a parasite.
- 1:29And I think that a parasite is one of the most apartment
- 1:35metaphors for addiction because once it takes a hold of the
- 1:40individual, it really exploits the host.
- 1:44It takes more than it gives and it really influences the
- 1:48judgement of the of the host. And when parasites take a hold
- 1:54of of an animal, quite often it. Leads the host.
- 2:00Animal to make different choices than they would normally make to
- 2:03the benefit of the parasite. And there was a very famous
- 2:09video of a of a praying mantis that the praying mantis is
- 2:13submerged in water and at the point where the praying mantis
- 2:16feels like is about to die, the parasite.
- 2:19This long white worm leaves the parasite.
- 2:22So what feels? To the parasite, to the praying
- 2:26mantis, like, you know, almost like the end of their life is
- 2:29actually the rebirth. Because they get.
- 2:31To live without the parasite inside them.
- 2:33And I think that's a very powerful metaphor for any
- 2:36addiction where it has additional benefits is the color
- 2:41white. This parasite is a white worm
- 2:45and cocaine, if it's consumed in that kind of powdered form,
- 2:49typically is white. So again, it has that kind of
- 2:53correlation. And you'll hear in this there is
- 2:56a suggestion to the client to imagine snort being parasite
- 3:00free and then snorting worm up their nose.
- 3:02And the goal here is to create revulsion and disgust to the
- 3:09idea of cocaine. And that's very different from
- 3:13when they desire it more than anything else.
- 3:15And if you can turn a compulsion into a revulsion, then you're
- 3:20doing something right. So there's those things going on
- 3:22in this session. Of course, it was created for an
- 3:25individual. So therefore, not all of the
- 3:28suggestions are going to be relevant.
- 3:29If you don't take cocaine, replace cocaine with something
- 3:33else. That might be you, you might be
- 3:34addicted to and don't want to be anymore.
- 3:38But that's the essence of this. It's about reframing an
- 3:41addiction to make a compulsion into a revulsion and to.
- 3:45Create a. Fresh start.
- 3:46Which New Year's typically typically?
- 3:48Become a a nice reason to do that.
- 3:53Of course, if you are interested in a more bespoke session then
- 3:56the ideal thing to do is to click the link in the show notes
- 3:59and schedule that free consultation call to Exlore
- 4:01working with me. For now, though, find a quiet,
- 4:04comfortable place where you won't be.
- 4:05Disturbed, relax and. Enjoy the session.
- 5:06Take a deep breath in and as you breathe in, breathe in a slow,
- 5:16calm, relaxing breath and as you exhale, allow yourself to feel
- 5:25that you are releasing feelings of tension, stress or worry.
- 5:34Just allow it to leave your body in your outward breath,
- 5:41breathing in and breathing out, feeling your eyelids relaxed yet
- 5:51heavy, and with your eyes closed, you notice just how much
- 6:00easier it becomes to give your attention to the sound of my
- 6:07voice. The deeper you breathe, the more
- 6:12relaxed you become. And the more relaxed you become,
- 6:18the deeper you breathe. So as you take a deep breath in,
- 6:25feel it being resourceful, and as you exhale, feel you're
- 6:32letting go of anything unresourceful.
- 6:36As you allow your body to soften, to settle, to sink into
- 6:43a deep state of relaxation, I want you to use the power of
- 6:57your imagination to imagine that you are in a forest, a tropical
- 7:05forest. Feel the humidity, the warmth,
- 7:11and you're safe in this tropical forest.
- 7:17And as you're walking through this tropical forest, I want you
- 7:20to imagine seeing a bright green praying mantis.
- 7:28Maybe it's there on the side of a tree trunk.
- 7:33I want you to see a creature that is strong, formidable.
- 7:41It may be small, but it can defend itself against much
- 7:48bigger animals. It can solve problems.
- 7:55It can deal with harsh rain in the rainforest or very hot sun.
- 8:06This is a formidable creature, a resilient creature.
- 8:15But every now and then, the praying mantis becomes the
- 8:22victim of a parasite, something that starts off as a small,
- 8:32insignificant worm, but the worm grows and grows until so much,
- 8:48so much of the resources of this praying mantis is being
- 8:54exploited by that wriggling white worm inside.
- 9:04But I want you to imagine seeing the praying mantis submerged in
- 9:10water. The praying mantis is convinced
- 9:15that this is the end, the death. But in that moment where all.
- 9:22Seems lost. The parasite leaves the sinking
- 9:29ship. What was thought as a death was
- 9:38actually a rebirth. The praying mantis is then free
- 9:45of the parasite, can continue its life, formidable, strong,
- 9:52purposeful once again. And sometimes things start off
- 9:59as small and insignificant and then grow and grow and grow
- 10:05longer and bigger until they become a parasite.
- 10:13And maybe there's something in your life where you were once in
- 10:16control and now it feels that something else is in control.
- 10:25And if you have a sense that you know what that thing is, just
- 10:29let me know by nodding your head.
- 10:34But I want you to imagine you're no longer in the forest, but you
- 10:39are somewhere in nature, maybe near the beach, maybe near a
- 10:48flowing stream or a river. With every breath, just imagine
- 10:54a warm, cleansing breeze flowing over you, washing away the past
- 11:02and preparing you for a fresh start.
- 11:10Today is a new beginning, a chance to leave behind what no
- 11:17longer serves you and step fully into the version of yourself
- 11:23that is free, clear, and in control.
- 11:32I want you to imagine out there in nature are two doors, and
- 11:40imagine standing at the threshold of those two doors.
- 11:45Behind you is the old version of yourself, the one that was
- 11:52caught in a cycle, chasing an illusion, believing in a false
- 11:58promise, in a false friend. Cocaine once whispered to you,
- 12:07tempting you with pleasure or escapism, but now you see it for
- 12:15what it truly is. Cocaine is a parasite, and the
- 12:22more you think of it, the truer that becomes.
- 12:26Hasn't it been feeding on your energy, draining your joy,
- 12:33stealing your money, stealing your very essence of life, your
- 12:40ambitions, your focus? This parasite has been feeding
- 12:46on you from the inside. It never gave you anything real.
- 12:54It only took and took demanding more and more, and the more it
- 13:00took, the less you had less control, less happiness, and
- 13:08less life. Because a clever parasite makes
- 13:15you feel it's your friend when actually it's your enemy.
- 13:20It makes you think it's giving when actually it's taking.
- 13:28But when you know it, you can be free of it.
- 13:33Because today you are stepping through a new door into a world
- 13:37where you are free, where you are clean, and where you are
- 13:43reborn. I want you to imagine that
- 13:49through this door is a table of renewal, a sacred space
- 13:57representing your new identity. I want you to see things on this
- 14:06table that represent a transformation.
- 14:13I want you to imagine seeing fresh green sprouts, perhaps a
- 14:18sign of your rebirth, where you are growing beyond your old
- 14:24self, flourishing into something stronger, fresher, new.
- 14:32And every day without cocaine, you grow more powerful.
- 14:41Maybe you see on this same table a delicious dish representing
- 14:49the real pleasures of life, that a deep, meaningful and
- 14:54fulfilling. And maybe real pleasures in your
- 14:59life will be real friendships, real connection, real
- 15:04experiences, real foods. Not the synthetic representation
- 15:11of pleasure, but real joy. I want you to see some dried
- 15:19fruit on that table, perhaps a reminder that true love, wisdom
- 15:26and satisfaction come from within, not from a chemical that
- 15:30deceives and destroys. I want you to see on the table a
- 15:37clove of garlic and as you pick it up, feel that it is a shield
- 15:43of protection. Some people believe that garlic
- 15:51can ward off vampires. Vampires are a parasite.
- 15:57So is cocaine. And what if this shield of
- 16:00protection protects you so that cocaine has no power over you
- 16:06now that it becomes repulsive, unwanted and unnecessary?
- 16:16And then see on the table a crisp apple presenting pure
- 16:22health and vitality. Every breath fills you with
- 16:27strength. Every heartbeat beats to the
- 16:30rhythm of freedom. This is your future health and
- 16:36vitality, not dependency and sickness, blood and illness.
- 16:45Your future is a future of health.
- 16:54And then notice a deep red spice, perhaps a symbol of the
- 16:59rising sun. And I want you to imagine that
- 17:04the shadows of your past are fading.
- 17:08A new dawn is rising, a new beginning.
- 17:12And your future is bright, clear, full of possibility and
- 17:18purpose. And then maybe you can see a
- 17:24small bottle of an aged liquid, representing the wisdom of
- 17:31experience. You were naive, but now, with
- 17:39this wisdom, you see cocaine for what it is.
- 17:45A sinister trick, a friend that betrayed you, an empty
- 17:50deception. It never gave you anything that
- 17:54lasted. Like the parasite it took.
- 18:00It was exploiting you, feeding on you, and now it no longer has
- 18:07a place in your life. I want you to leave that table,
- 18:17and I want you to see a fireplace nearby, and I want you
- 18:23to see a fire burning in that fireplace.
- 18:27And this is a fire of transformation.
- 18:31This fire is calling you to release the past, to let go of
- 18:38everything that no longer serves you.
- 18:42Not just cocaine. Anything and everything no
- 18:48longer serves you. Baggage from the past, traumatic
- 18:55memories. Leave it all behind.
- 18:59So take a deep breath and feel like you're throwing that old
- 19:04version of you, that version of you in pain, with guilt, with
- 19:12shame, with dependency, through that old version of you into the
- 19:17flames. The version that craved cocaine,
- 19:22that was naive enough to believe in its illusion.
- 19:28The version of you that thought cocaine was helping.
- 19:31Through that version of you, into the fire and allow the fire
- 19:35to consume it, destroy it, erase it, And then and feel that a new
- 19:43version of you is a phoenix rising from the flames.
- 19:49Stepping through the flames, you emerge new, clean, free.
- 19:57This new version of you is repulsed by the very idea of
- 20:07cocaine. The very thought of it is
- 20:11disgusting. Feel that repulsion in your
- 20:20mouth, in your nose, in your gut feeling.
- 20:25Feel like it is a parasite. But the idea?
- 20:28Of snorting some. Cocaine would feel like you're
- 20:32allowing the parasite back. Up your.
- 20:34Nose into your body, where it feeds on you from the inside.
- 20:43Cocaine is something foreign, something unwanted.
- 20:48It's no longer a part of you. And what if you don't need
- 20:52willpower because it's so repulsive you simply don't want
- 21:00it anymore? And maybe today is the day that
- 21:06this new version of you emerges. But if not today, then it will
- 21:13be tomorrow when you wake up. One moment, one breath, and it
- 21:19will happen naturally. The complete disinterest and
- 21:24revulsion and repulsion by the very thought of cocaine.
- 21:32From this point forwards. You now know for certain that
- 21:36cocaine is an illusion that steals and you refuse to be
- 21:41tricked anymore because you are reborn, renewed and free.
- 21:51The past is gone and you step into your future with power and
- 21:57purpose. You have no desire for cocaine.
- 22:04It is repulsive to you. You are clean, you are strong,
- 22:11you are free. So then you would have to choose
- 22:17to go back to that old version of you to allow the parasite
- 22:22back in your body. If it feels like that would be a
- 22:26repulsive idea, let me know by nodding your head.
- 22:32Because what if as of this moment, you are already your new
- 22:38identity and the only way to activate the old identity would
- 22:45be to allow that white parasite back in your body and the portal
- 22:52is your nostrils. But if you never consume that
- 22:57cocaine, the parasite can never get back in your body.
- 23:02And then you're free. Free to be this new version of
- 23:08you. It's time to leave that room
- 23:13with the table and the fireplace.
- 23:16Leave the place in nature. No need to be in a rainforest.
- 23:23Feel that you're returning to the present, but with a new
- 23:27understanding of what cocaine really is, the new connotations,
- 23:35the new meaning, the new significance, and it repulses
- 23:40you. So it's time to come back to the
- 23:44here and the now. So take a deep breath in through
- 23:46your nose and out through your nose.
- 23:51Just wiggle your fingers and wiggle your toes.
- 23:53Start to calibrate with the here and the now as I now count from
- 23:591:00 to 10:00 to awaken you. You will awaken feeling
- 24:04resourceful, purposeful, like you've awakened a new parasite
- 24:13free version of you. Starting to count to awaken you.
- 24:21123 waking up 456 more alert 7-8 open your eyes.
