Wisconsin’s deer donation program just got a major boost—processors now get $125 per deer, plus $25 more if it requires CWD testing. Since 2000, hunters have donated over 100,000 deer, turning them into more than 4 million pounds of venison that feeds tens of thousands across the state. One local market alone processed 153 deer last year, serving over 24,000 meals. It’s a community-powered effort: hunters donate, processors handle the work, and charities distribute the meat.
