- 0:01When we read SRI, aurobindo Zafar ISM noted below.
- 0:05We tend to focus on the second part of the equation, the bar to
- 0:10achieving the higher result. There's an implication there by
- 0:14that we have already achieved the first part and that we are
- 0:18thus ready to proceed to the next phase or stage of inner
- 0:22growth. In some cases, we assign a moral
- 0:26value to the two states and try to apply this generally such
- 0:31that we treat desire and ego as bad things that need to be
- 0:35removed. And we may even go so far as to
- 0:39try to extrapolate this to others, not just for our own
- 0:44spiritual growth. SRI, aurobindo qualifies the
- 0:48phrases with the precursor of when we have passed Beyond?
- 0:54This implies that the second status only can be fully
- 0:57operative when we have utilized the first status to achieve a
- 1:02specific stage of development. Several questions.
- 1:06Arise, for instance, have we truly reached the stage of being
- 1:12fully conscious individuals that is brought about by the action
- 1:16of desire and ego as all of humanity.
- 1:19Reached that stage in the case that we as individuals or other
- 1:25individuals have not yet, become fully self-realized beings.
- 1:30We find a continued need and purpose to the action of desire
- 1:34and the Distance of ego to the extent that we have only
- 1:39partially achieved the stage ongoing development of the ego
- 1:43personality may still be required further.
- 1:47We can recognize that across all of humanity, there is a range of
- 1:51development and thus the action of desire and ego still has a
- 1:56very important role as the individualization process
- 2:01expands within the frame of human development.
- 2:05At the right point in time, each individual faces, the need to go
- 2:10beyond the limits of the action of Desire on the ego.
- 2:14At that point, the conditions arise for the soul, the psychic
- 2:19being to come forward and Lead one beyond the framework, which
- 2:23has helped shape him up to that point SRI, aurobindo writes,
- 2:29quote, when we have passed Beyond enjoying 's, Then we
- 2:34shall have Bliss. Desire was to help her desire.
- 2:39Is the bar. When we have passed Beyond
- 2:42individualizing, then we shall be.
- 2:45Real person's ego was the helper ego is the bar.
- 2:52When we have passed Beyond Humanity, then we shall be the
- 2:57man. The animal was the helper.
- 3:01The animal is the bar. The mother comments quote.
- 3:07It is the same principle expressed in all the activities
- 3:10are aspects of the being. It is obvious that in order to
- 3:14come out of the state of the original incontinence, desire
- 3:18was indispensable for without desire.
- 3:22There would have been no Awakening to activity but once
- 3:26you are born into Consciousness, this very desire which helped
- 3:30you to come out of the in conscience.
- 3:33Prevent you from living. Rating yourself from the bonds
- 3:36of matter and rising to a higher consciousness.
- 3:41It is the same thing for the ego, the self in order to pass
- 3:45on to a higher plane. One must first exist.
- 3:49And to exist, one must become a conscious separate individual,
- 3:55and to become a conscious separate individual.
- 3:58The ego is indispensable, otherwise, when remains mingled
- 4:03with all that lives around us. But once the individuality is
- 4:08formed if one wants to I Rise to a higher level and live a
- 4:13spiritual life. If one wants even to become
- 4:16simply a higher type of man, the limitations of the ego are the
- 4:21worst obstacles. And the ego must be surpassed in
- 4:26order to enter the true consciousness.
- 4:30And indeed, for the Ordinary Elementary life of, man, all the
- 4:35qualities belonging to the animal nature, especially those
- 4:39of the body were indispensable, otherwise man would not have
- 4:43existed. But when man has become a
- 4:47conscious mental being, everything that binds him to his
- 4:51animal origin, necessarily becomes a hindrance to progress
- 4:55and to the liberation of the being So for everyone, except
- 5:00for those who are born free and this is obviously very rare for
- 5:06everyone. This state of reason of effort,
- 5:10desire individualization and solid physical balance in
- 5:15accordance with the ordinary mode of living is indispensable
- 5:19to begin with until the time when becomes a conscious being
- 5:24when one must give up all these Things in order to become a
- 5:30spiritual being and quote, reference SRI aurobindo in the
- 5:36mother growing within the psychology of inner development.
