- 1:40Speaker 4: here all morning from seven to ten. So come join us,
- 1:44Speaker 4: come say hi. We have I think a little few
- 1:46Speaker 4: more people every single week, kind of trickling through coming
- 1:49Speaker 4: to say hi, coming to get a little breakfast right here.
- 1:51Speaker 4: They don't have it out just yet. I think I
- 1:54Speaker 4: think the doors are opening. They're starting to put it out.
- 1:56Speaker 4: We got the hot bar back here, some eggs, some grits,
- 1:58Speaker 4: some bacon, sauce, everything you want. But every single week
- 2:03Speaker 4: we are here throughout the season, fired up. I get here,
- 2:08Speaker 4: I get here about six thirty five this morning, and
- 2:10Speaker 4: again I'm like the fortieth person into the store because
- 2:15Speaker 4: everybody that works for Elses is here. They are getting
- 2:18Speaker 4: ready for you. They're getting ready for you to come
- 2:19Speaker 4: pick up your weekend groceries, your tailgating groceries. And shout
- 2:22Speaker 4: out to Cassie too. I walked into six thirty five,
- 2:25Speaker 4: everything was set up ready to roll. Shout out Cassie,
- 2:30Speaker 4: crushing it. What are you laughing at now?
- 2:34Speaker 3: They just laughing in Storre is already getting full. You're
- 2:36Speaker 3: right about it.
- 2:37Speaker 5: I'm watching highlights of two geriatric quarterbacks absolutely put on
- 2:41Speaker 5: a banger on a Thursday night.
- 2:43Speaker 3: The Ben gab All turned into a hell of a game.
- 2:47Speaker 4: A hell of a game, I mean, well, the best
- 2:49Speaker 4: ones of the year, one of the best ones of
- 2:51Speaker 4: the year. It's the game that we didn't need, we
- 2:54Speaker 4: didn't know we needed as football fans, and my god,
- 2:57Speaker 4: just football rocks man. Football is just incredible. And the
- 3:01Speaker 4: Thursday night games just to continue to perform. And last
- 3:06Speaker 4: week we had the the meathead Ball the Giants. We
- 3:10Speaker 4: did beating the Eagles with Jackson Dart and Scataboo, Brian
- 3:13Speaker 4: day Ball yelling at doctors all over the place, trying
- 3:16Speaker 4: to get people out of the injury tent, trying to
- 3:18Speaker 4: get people out of the injury tent. We've had the
- 3:20Speaker 4: Packers Commanders, we had the Eagles Cowboys first game of
- 3:23Speaker 4: the season. We've had some We've had some bangers on
- 3:25Speaker 4: Thursday night, but none better than last night. Combined eighty
- 3:30Speaker 4: two years of quarterback life, who knows how much experience,
- 3:37Speaker 4: eighteen and almost.
- 3:38Speaker 3: A couple of Super Bowls.
- 3:39Speaker 4: Yeah, I think, I think combined forty years of experience
- 3:43Speaker 4: VET experience there, so it's uh, yeah, a couple of
- 3:46Speaker 4: sewer rows. So Joe Flaka, how your knees feel right now?
- 3:49Speaker 4: He was our draft class. How your knees fell?
- 3:52Speaker 3: Poor?
- 3:53Speaker 4: Poor poor poor to quite poor quite horrible. Yeah, so
- 3:57Speaker 4: it's really impressive. A lot of highlights from the game
- 4:00Speaker 4: last night, both quarterbacks making plays when they had to.
- 4:05Speaker 4: Zach Taylor's call sheet I think throughout the game yesterday
- 4:08Speaker 4: was inside run, screen pass, Jamar. Those are the three
- 4:12Speaker 4: plays he ran. Yeah, inside run, screen pass and Jamar
- 4:16Speaker 4: and Joe Flacco is I think he kind of got
- 4:19Speaker 4: the memo when he got there. He's like, hey, man,
- 4:21Speaker 4: if you're like in trouble, like if we got a
- 4:22Speaker 4: passing play, if he's just one on one or two
- 4:25Speaker 4: on one, sometimes just like you don't have to make
- 4:27Speaker 4: a perfect throw, just throw it at the defender.
- 4:29Speaker 5: Yeah, and he got you throw it in his catch
- 4:32Speaker 5: radius and he's gonna go probably make a play. Like
- 4:34Speaker 5: if you're wondering, and I know that Jamar Chase is
- 4:38Speaker 5: the best receiver in the league, but if.
- 4:39Speaker 3: You're wondering, like all week.
- 4:41Speaker 5: What we were talking about with your receiver one having
- 4:44Speaker 5: to go help out your quarterback.
- 4:46Speaker 4: That's what we're talking about. Yeah, put it in and
- 4:49Speaker 4: you don't have to be Jamar Chase. There's there's one
- 4:51Speaker 4: of those, right, and but help your quarterback out. Be
- 4:57Speaker 4: friendly to your quarterback, make a play, make a make
- 5:00Speaker 4: it to where it doesn't The ball doesn't have to
- 5:02Speaker 4: catch you every time. Sometimes you got to go catch
- 5:05Speaker 4: the ball. And that's what we used to say. Like
- 5:07Speaker 4: when you saw a pass down the sideline yesterday, or
- 5:10Speaker 4: like Aaron Rodgers DK metcalf on a go route, that
- 5:13Speaker 4: ball caught him. Like that ball was like you couldn't
- 5:15Speaker 4: have ran up there and handed it to him any better.
- 5:18Speaker 4: And that's what I had. A lot of NFL quarterbacks
- 5:20Speaker 4: make those throws all the time. But sometimes it's a
- 5:23Speaker 4: little behind you, sometimes it's a little out in front
- 5:25Speaker 4: of you. Sometimes you got to catch the back third
- 5:27Speaker 4: of the ball. Tampa Bay. Yeah, it just go make
- 5:31Speaker 4: a play. And it's fun when you see a primetime
- 5:34Speaker 4: game like that where everyone's excited to watch it. You
- 5:37Speaker 4: know it's the one game that's on and players, the
- 5:41Speaker 4: best players in the world, go out and make the
- 5:43Speaker 4: best plays in the world, and it's fun to watch
- 5:45Speaker 4: as fans and then also like for the football nerds
- 5:49Speaker 4: like myself. The end of the game, t Higgins catches
- 5:54Speaker 4: a ball, a deep ball down the sideline in a
- 5:57Speaker 4: four minute situation. Under two minutes in the game. He
- 6:00Speaker 4: catches the ball down the sideline, has a path to score,
- 6:03Speaker 4: and operates the smart one of the smartest plays in football,
- 6:09Speaker 4: a no moss situation. I don't know what y'all caught it.
- 6:11Speaker 4: We called it no moss, we called it no more,
- 6:12Speaker 4: no more points, no more or anything. Yeah, slides down
- 6:16Speaker 4: instead of going ahead because they were down by points.
- 6:18Speaker 4: So if you go ahead, you got to go for two.
- 6:20Speaker 4: You might end up being up by five points or
- 6:23Speaker 4: you might be up by seven. Like it doesn't you
- 6:25Speaker 4: don't really know what's going to happen. But you give
- 6:27Speaker 4: time to the other team. You slide down, give yourself
- 6:30Speaker 4: a chance to center it, knee it, kick a field
- 6:33Speaker 4: goal in no time left. So yeah, they did it.
- 6:35Speaker 4: And then it's a little bit of risk, but it's
- 6:37Speaker 4: a small.
- 6:38Speaker 5: I mean, but you look, I mean, if if a
- 6:40Speaker 5: kicker misses that, you'll take that chance.
- 6:42Speaker 3: I mean, it's an extra point, you'd rather take the chance.
- 6:45Speaker 4: I'd rather take the chance of my kicker making a
- 6:49Speaker 4: really short field goal. So it's a small percentage he's
- 6:51Speaker 4: going to miss it. It's a higher percentage that Aaron
- 6:54Speaker 4: Rodgers and the Steelers drive down to score touchdown to
- 6:56Speaker 4: win it.
- 6:57Speaker 5: Aaron Rodgers on the last play of the game, had
- 6:59Speaker 5: the longest air throw since twenty seventeen.
- 7:03Speaker 3: And are you serious? Yeah, good stat pool. I knew
- 7:06Speaker 3: it was awesome.
- 7:07Speaker 4: Like I watched it and I saw him throw it, and.
- 7:11Speaker 5: I was like, holy hell, Yeah since twenty seventeen is
- 7:15Speaker 5: the farthest ball it's traveled in the air.
- 7:17Speaker 4: Yeah, that's one thing that I do it like he
- 7:20Speaker 4: do it seventy years. Like there's quarterbacks, you know, there's quarterbacks.
- 7:23Speaker 4: I think like when I was a senior in high
- 7:24Speaker 4: school or freshman, I think I chunked one that might
- 7:27Speaker 4: have gone seventy yards or like at least someone told
- 7:29Speaker 4: me it did right, Like I didn't see it, but.
- 7:31Speaker 3: Little helium in that ball, huh Yeah.
- 7:33Speaker 4: But to be able to do it in a game
- 7:36Speaker 4: like with pads, pads and a helmet, shoulder pads on
- 7:39Speaker 4: that with bad you know, intention rushers coming towards you
- 7:43Speaker 4: as well. Yeah, and I think he's I got to
- 7:45Speaker 4: look this up. I should have. I should have done
- 7:47Speaker 4: this before the show, but I didn't think about it
- 7:50Speaker 4: until right this second. I think he's the most successful
- 7:53Speaker 4: hell Mary quarterback in the history of the NFL. I
- 7:55Speaker 4: said that yesterday. Yeah, And I don't know what that
- 7:57Speaker 4: stat is, but I know there's a lot of hell
- 8:00Speaker 4: Mary highlights for that guy. And that's the reason because
- 8:02Speaker 4: he throws it high and gives us, you know, he's
- 8:05Speaker 4: and gives us guys an opportunity, and he's played in
- 8:08Speaker 4: a lot of games, so he's he's Uh, we almost
- 8:12Speaker 4: saw it. I was hoping we'd see it. I was
- 8:14Speaker 4: cheering for my guy, you know, if he's gonna get
- 8:18Speaker 4: out dueled. You know what I was like, you know
- 8:22Speaker 4: what Flacco? I was like, Man, I was like, screw it, dude,
- 8:26Speaker 4: put Flacco in the Hall of Fame too, whatever, go ahead, Okay,
- 8:30Speaker 4: amazing not hurting himself.
- 8:33Speaker 3: So it's funny.
- 8:34Speaker 5: We were all watching the game last night and it
- 8:37Speaker 5: was Me, Katie and Memphis, and Memphis is kind of like,
- 8:40Speaker 5: you know, he always asks like, hey, who do we
- 8:42Speaker 5: go for?
- 8:43Speaker 3: Who do we go for?
- 8:43Speaker 5: In this game and we were trying to figure it out.
- 8:47Speaker 5: We were like, do we go for the Steelers because
- 8:51Speaker 5: coach Matt and Aaron her friends? Or do we go
- 8:54Speaker 5: for Jamar Chase? Where do we Where do we go here?
- 8:57Speaker 5: It's funny he was like asking back and forth. I
- 8:58Speaker 5: don't know if there's any wrong answer on that. That's
- 9:00Speaker 5: what That's kind of what Katie said, you know, I
- 9:02Speaker 5: think either way.
- 9:04Speaker 4: I was so happy just watching how the game unfolded.
- 9:07Speaker 4: Of course, I was like cheering for for the Steelers.
- 9:09Speaker 4: But Flack is awesome man to do what he's He
- 9:14Speaker 4: has done over such an extended period of time, just
- 9:19Speaker 4: been consistent and good, and you can you could tell
- 9:22Speaker 4: the hurt and the anger and Tomlin's voice last week when.
- 9:27Speaker 3: Oh yeah he got traded when the Browns.
- 9:29Speaker 4: Yeah, like that. You just don't you don't do that.
- 9:32Speaker 4: You don't trade within the division for a guy that
- 9:35Speaker 4: you thought so much of that he was your opening
- 9:38Speaker 4: day starter. Yeah, and you trade him to somebody in
- 9:42Speaker 4: the division. And you can see the paint because Tomlin
- 9:45Speaker 4: has the utmost respect, Like, is there any coach out
- 9:48Speaker 4: there that respects quarterbacks that have he's played against more
- 9:52Speaker 4: than Mike Tomlin. I remember last year when people were
- 9:56Speaker 4: comparing Jane Daniels as a rookie to Lamar Jackson and
- 9:59Speaker 4: he tom was like, hold up, now, yeah, you're talking
- 10:02Speaker 4: about mister Jackson. Like, let's let's be very careful, let's
- 10:06Speaker 4: tread lightly when we make comparisons. Of course that comparison
- 10:10Speaker 4: is Jadon's that dude. Yeah, but like he was just saying, hey,
- 10:14Speaker 4: let's pump the brakes when we start comparing guys to
- 10:16Speaker 4: the guys that I respect, right, And I think he
- 10:19Speaker 4: has the utmost respect for Flaco because he's played them
- 10:21Speaker 4: and he knew.
- 10:23Speaker 5: And they yeah, they gave last night. He knew what
- 10:25Speaker 5: he knew that that was J and T. Yeah, makes
- 10:29Speaker 5: it a dangerous group if you haven't had some of
- 10:31Speaker 5: the you know, the third and fourth receivers make a
- 10:34Speaker 5: play like that was that was like that game?
- 10:37Speaker 4: Was that third and fourth receivers They can make plays. Yes,
- 10:41Speaker 4: that that you're allowed to.
- 10:42Speaker 5: Great example of guys going out and wanting the football,
- 10:46Speaker 5: not being denied and just being aggressive towards.
- 10:49Speaker 4: The ball blows my mind. Man, they're allowed to.
- 10:52Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, did you see the Joe Flako's face whatever,
- 10:56Speaker 5: Jamar like actually dropped one.
- 10:58Speaker 4: Yeah, he did, was wide open. Okay, So I don't
- 11:02Speaker 4: remember the exact number. It was either one hundred and
- 11:04Speaker 4: sixty one or one hundred and eighty one million is
- 11:07Speaker 4: the payroll for the Steelers defense this year. Okay, that's
- 11:13Speaker 4: a big number. If you're wondering at home, it's a
- 11:15Speaker 4: big number. So their defense, they bring in Jayalen Ramsey,
- 11:17Speaker 4: they bring in Jayleen. Rams was getting cooked. He was
- 11:20Speaker 4: worked last night. A couple of pass interferences you could
- 11:24Speaker 4: you could sometimes you call him, sometimes you don't. But
- 11:26Speaker 4: they got called and he got cooked. He got cooked
- 11:29Speaker 4: on the t Higgins won late in the game that
- 11:30Speaker 4: he did the no Mo situation on touchdown to Jamar. Yeah,
- 11:35Speaker 4: he was getting worked a little bit, but a big
- 11:37Speaker 4: salary to get to go in there and get throttled
- 11:40Speaker 4: and looked like Swiss cheese. The forty one year old
- 11:44Speaker 4: Joe Flacca that just learned the snap counts seven days ago.
- 11:49Speaker 4: So I don't know if it's unimpressive or impressive Bill
- 11:52Speaker 4: Placo on that. But there was a I think there
- 11:54Speaker 4: was a play the Steelers who just scored the go
- 11:57Speaker 4: ahead touchdown an incredible like third down play and rolls
- 12:00Speaker 4: out to his left, scrambles out. They just got a
- 12:02Speaker 4: holding call. I think goes second to twenty. Take that,
- 12:05Speaker 4: then go second second and twenty second and twenty, rolls out,
- 12:07Speaker 4: throws a dot over down the field, touchdown to friar Mouth.
- 12:12Speaker 4: Second touch on the day for friar Mouth, and he
- 12:15Speaker 4: he was the race. But the Bengals get the ball
- 12:18Speaker 4: back like the first play, jamorro ros As shall across
- 12:22Speaker 4: and catches it and there's no one within fifteen yards
- 12:24Speaker 4: of him, right, Like, what do we do? What are
- 12:26Speaker 4: we doing?
- 12:27Speaker 3: So?
- 12:27Speaker 5: Yeah, I might want to make sure that you cover
- 12:29Speaker 5: him like you can blop some other guys.
- 12:32Speaker 4: Yeah, but let's make sure we get him.
- 12:34Speaker 5: Uh, I mean a flack go with the wheels as
- 12:36Speaker 5: well when he pulled it.
- 12:37Speaker 4: Dude, So did you you heard you hear the g
- 12:41Speaker 4: year the after the post game stuff where he took
- 12:43Speaker 4: the stand they had asked him. I think Fitzpatrick could
- 12:45Speaker 4: ask him about that. He's like, so, is that like
- 12:47Speaker 4: a called situation? He's like no, He's like, I got
- 12:51Speaker 4: the play call and it was like one of the
- 12:53Speaker 4: few calls, like I had to read that one off
- 12:55Speaker 4: the rist, Like I didn't I didn't have that one memorized.
- 12:57Speaker 4: I had to read that play off the wrist and
- 12:59Speaker 4: I I can't remember who the receiver was. I think
- 13:01Speaker 4: he said T was supposed to do a counter motion
- 13:04Speaker 4: from the outside countermotion, come and seal the end. He's
- 13:07Speaker 4: going to hand the zone off. He's like, but the
- 13:08Speaker 4: play call is running down, and I just told him.
- 13:11Speaker 4: I was like, chill, just chill out there, don't come
- 13:13Speaker 4: in motion because I had to get the I had
- 13:14Speaker 4: to get the stap off. So the wide receiver is
- 13:18Speaker 4: supposed to come down and block the end right, So
- 13:20Speaker 4: there's no one blocking the end at this point. So
- 13:22Speaker 4: he hands he's going to hand the ball off, and
- 13:25Speaker 4: he just sees the guy crashing down and he was like, well,
- 13:28Speaker 4: screw it, let's just do it. Yeah, and he pulls
- 13:31Speaker 4: it and just totally ad lived it and he's like yeah, man,
- 13:33Speaker 4: He's like it felt really fun. Yeah. I hadn't done
- 13:36Speaker 4: that since like probably my second or third year in
- 13:38Speaker 4: the league.
- 13:38Speaker 3: Yeah, you know, running zone reads with Joe Fla.
- 13:40Speaker 4: Yeah, so second or third year in the league if
- 13:42Speaker 4: you're count, that's an over a decade and a half ago.
- 13:44Speaker 3: Yeah, that was twenty ten.
- 13:45Speaker 4: Yeah, so he Yeah, he just pulled and it was
- 13:48Speaker 4: kind of an ad lib crazy situation.
- 13:50Speaker 5: But I think he got about fifteen on it. Well done,
- 13:53Speaker 5: well done, Well done, Joe too much. Great game, great game,
- 13:58Speaker 5: very exciting.
- 13:58Speaker 4: Gotta love the NFL. I love it.
- 14:00Speaker 5: Even between two forty one year old quarterbacks, you can
- 14:04Speaker 5: get a product.
- 14:05Speaker 4: Like we have a quarterback controversy and sincy.
- 14:07Speaker 5: People are asking just first time I've actually seen Burrow
- 14:11Speaker 5: on the sideline and the look when you have a
- 14:13Speaker 5: foot toe injury, you don't want your guys standing on
- 14:15Speaker 5: the sideline for four hours. So I get that, but
- 14:18Speaker 5: it's the first time I had chanced to actually see
- 14:20Speaker 5: him there with the team, and it was so weird
- 14:23Speaker 5: seeing Joe like with like the headset on talking to
- 14:27Speaker 5: Joe Flacco.
- 14:28Speaker 3: I know, right, his crew is pretty wild.
- 14:31Speaker 4: Joe. You see with the DoD the long hair, the
- 14:33Speaker 4: wispy bangs. Yeah, kind of looked like like a punk
- 14:36Speaker 4: rocker a little bit. I saw a good post yesterday
- 14:39Speaker 4: on the old Twitter machine, said my chemical Joe Mance.
- 14:44Speaker 3: I think, hey, everybody goes to their emo face.
- 14:48Speaker 4: Joe looked a little little, a little sad. Yesterday was
- 14:51Speaker 4: playing which not playing a game is like the worst
- 14:53Speaker 4: villain of the world.
- 14:54Speaker 3: It is.
- 14:54Speaker 5: It is all right, we're gonna take our first break,
- 14:57Speaker 5: but we've got so much more coming your way. Of course,
- 15:00Speaker 5: we'll play all our favorite games that we do here
- 15:02Speaker 5: on Friday. We'll have a pontoon parlay, a party bars parlay,
- 15:07Speaker 5: we'll play what's the ticket? All that's still coming your way.
- 15:09Speaker 5: Stay locked in here to otb.
- 15:13Speaker 2: Off the bench, all right.
- 15:19Speaker 5: It is always a great time to go for dose.
- 15:23Speaker 5: So if you're getting your tailgate ready, Hey, maybe you're
- 15:26Speaker 5: traveling right now to Nashville to go watch the Tigers
- 15:29Speaker 5: play Vanderbilt there on the road, and you gotta fill
- 15:34Speaker 5: up the ice chest, go ahead and fill it up
- 15:36Speaker 5: with some ice cold dose sequis, or hopefully you just
- 15:38Speaker 5: went ahead and did it before you went. Or if
- 15:41Speaker 5: you're hosting a watch party right and you're not going
- 15:44Speaker 5: to the game, but you're gonna have people over, well
- 15:47Speaker 5: be the hit of the party because you brought the
- 15:49Speaker 5: dose sekies.
- 15:49Speaker 3: It's always a great time to go for dose.
- 15:52Speaker 4: As right. Are you a can guy or a bottle guy?
- 15:55Speaker 3: Ooh, I like a can?
- 15:56Speaker 4: Actually, come on, I'm a big bottle guy. When it
- 15:58Speaker 4: comes to dose secids. That a green glass bottle, cut open,
- 16:03Speaker 4: a fresh line. You can get anything. That rouse is
- 16:05Speaker 4: right here as well. But it gets you. Get ready
- 16:07Speaker 4: for the weekend, Get ready for tailgating, Get ready for
- 16:09Speaker 4: a trip. If maybe you're going for a little fall
- 16:11Speaker 4: break whatever. Get that cooler ready, get that fridge ready,
- 16:14Speaker 4: go for dose dose secies.
- 16:18Speaker 3: I start walking, lady, start walking.
- 16:22Speaker 2: Man.
- 16:23Speaker 3: We met.
- 16:25Speaker 4: That of George bind We gain on the ground.
- 16:34Speaker 3: To long.
- 16:37Speaker 2: Tigers turn talkers. This is off the bench.
- 16:49Speaker 3: Seven years tomorrow since we set our back under that
- 16:55Speaker 3: old pine tree.
- 16:59Speaker 5: All right, welcome back in it is otb here on
- 17:03Speaker 5: a football Friday. LSU traveling later today to Nashville to
- 17:09Speaker 5: take on Vanderbilt, where they are a two and a
- 17:13Speaker 5: half point favorite.
- 17:14Speaker 3: Are sorry, yeah, Bady Bills two and a half point favorite.
- 17:16Speaker 3: LSU two and a half point dog.
- 17:19Speaker 2: Er.
- 17:21Speaker 5: A lot of people, a lot of people in the
- 17:23Speaker 5: Vandy betting train.
- 17:25Speaker 4: He because of mood from a point or a point
- 17:27Speaker 4: and a.
- 17:27Speaker 5: Half, Dave Portnoy of Varstool put over two hundred thousand
- 17:32Speaker 5: dollars on Vanderbilt to cover this game.
- 17:34Speaker 4: He must not like money, he must hate it.
- 17:38Speaker 5: So there's a lot of people that favor this matchup
- 17:40Speaker 5: for Vandy what they do, well, what LSU struggle with
- 17:44Speaker 5: and I Matt, I mean honest with you, Like on
- 17:48Speaker 5: off campus when people start talking about this game, they're like, yeah,
- 17:51Speaker 5: I think I think Vanderbilt covers pretty easy. I'm like, wait, what,
- 17:56Speaker 5: Like what matchup are we talking about here? You know,
- 17:59Speaker 5: it's the offensive struggles for LSU. It's not being able
- 18:02Speaker 5: to run the football for l s U. Now with
- 18:07Speaker 5: Weeks potentially being out, it's something people are certainly paying
- 18:12Speaker 5: attention to because if you face a Digo Pavia, who
- 18:16Speaker 5: would you want chasing that guy round with Weeks?
- 18:20Speaker 3: Right, So he's going to be a game.
- 18:22Speaker 4: A couple of guys going against each other's growling the
- 18:24Speaker 4: whole time at each other. Quarterback's throwing up puke and rally.
- 18:29Speaker 4: I know, I know. And speaking of with well, we
- 18:34Speaker 4: could talk about his injury all we want to. Yeah,
- 18:37Speaker 4: but the big news coming out of the wit Week's
- 18:40Speaker 4: story is he shaved his head. He did, so, there's
- 18:44Speaker 4: a story of.
- 18:45Speaker 3: The Bible, Samson and Delilah.
- 18:48Speaker 4: Yeah, his power came from his hair bud. Yeah, A
- 18:52Speaker 4: little bit nervous about this one. So I think you
- 18:54Speaker 4: see some live line movement based on that's not.
- 18:59Speaker 3: That you know, not that crazy.
- 19:02Speaker 4: Okay, So what it is his ankle? It is a
- 19:05Speaker 4: bone bruise on his ankle, Is that what I read? So?
- 19:09Speaker 3: I think what I read was so I've seen the
- 19:11Speaker 3: Bowl game.
- 19:12Speaker 5: He had a major injury, yeah, and required surgery, and
- 19:16Speaker 5: I saw that it was soreness related to that injury.
- 19:20Speaker 5: Now I know there was some reporters that saw with
- 19:25Speaker 5: in a walking boot. I believe it was yesterday and
- 19:29Speaker 5: that was reported. I do want to and look, this
- 19:32Speaker 5: isn't me speaking on WIT's injury because I truly don't know.
- 19:36Speaker 5: I won't see what until later on a couple of
- 19:38Speaker 5: hours on the plane. But I will say this, this
- 19:42Speaker 5: medical group is very cautious with any ankle injury, with
- 19:46Speaker 5: any shin, with any you'll see somebody in a boot
- 19:50Speaker 5: as a precautionary measure, like that's kind of what they do.
- 19:54Speaker 5: I've seen guys with bradla Moore when he had his
- 19:57Speaker 5: sprained ankle, he went directly in to a boot. When
- 20:02Speaker 5: west Weeks had his his calf.
- 20:04Speaker 4: Boom, because there's no reason not to get in a
- 20:06Speaker 4: boot because you can walk with it.
- 20:07Speaker 3: You can you're like, I'll tell you this.
- 20:09Speaker 5: I've seen guys that have had boots on after a
- 20:11Speaker 5: road game and played in the in the game the
- 20:14Speaker 5: next week and practice the next week. It is something
- 20:16Speaker 5: that they do. Like you said, why wouldn't you just
- 20:19Speaker 5: throw it on? Protect yourself?
- 20:21Speaker 3: Rest it?
- 20:22Speaker 5: So the boot portion of this, I wouldn't look too
- 20:25Speaker 5: much into that because again, you know this medical team,
- 20:29Speaker 5: that's what they do. They've always done it, and that's
- 20:32Speaker 5: just kind of part of the everyday injury precaution type stuff.
- 20:38Speaker 3: Not to say he's gonna play, because I really truly
- 20:40Speaker 3: don't know.
- 20:41Speaker 4: But yep, I mean all I get my news from
- 20:44Speaker 4: I get my news from Twitter, So you know, I
- 20:46Speaker 4: just saw that potential bone bridge potential like boot, you'd
- 20:50Speaker 4: never know. I agree with you, though, Like the boot
- 20:52Speaker 4: isn't like an end all be Now, if you see
- 20:54Speaker 4: someone crutching around, that's a different thing.
- 20:56Speaker 3: Oh yeah, yeah, crutches a red flag.
- 20:58Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 20:59Speaker 4: I had like uh foot thing in high school and
- 21:02Speaker 4: I wore boot everywhere just because I didn't want I
- 21:05Speaker 4: didn't want people to good one, good one. All right, Okay,
- 21:12Speaker 4: this is a different type of boot though. Okay, all right,
- 21:14Speaker 4: but I wore just because I didn't want people to
- 21:15Speaker 4: step on it or like I didn't want to like
- 21:17Speaker 4: accidentally hit it against the table or a chair. So
- 21:19Speaker 4: I just wore boot and you can walk around. Your
- 21:21Speaker 4: mobility is fine. So someone in the chat here say,
- 21:27Speaker 4: I know that Landry Kiffen is Delilah, but I can't
- 21:29Speaker 4: prove it yet.
- 21:30Speaker 3: Oh oh oh mm, hmm hmm.
- 21:35Speaker 4: I feel about that. I mean, I've never seen him
- 21:38Speaker 4: puke in the game or you know, we're walking boot
- 21:42Speaker 4: until Landry. People are talking.
- 21:47Speaker 3: Don't love that.
- 21:50Speaker 5: Look at if Wit doesn't play in this game. I
- 21:52Speaker 5: do when we talked about it yesterday. I do think
- 21:55Speaker 5: Yellow Shoe's very deep at linebacker. But I'm not going
- 21:57Speaker 5: to be foolish enough to say that an All American
- 22:00Speaker 5: linebacker being out of the game is not something that
- 22:05Speaker 5: is going to, you know, help you in any way
- 22:08Speaker 5: if he's out. If an All American linebackers out of
- 22:11Speaker 5: the game, it's something that you have to make up for.
- 22:15Speaker 3: It's not something you handwave.
- 22:16Speaker 4: Yep.
- 22:16Speaker 5: There's certainly one in this game where you're playing against
- 22:20Speaker 5: a Diego Pavia that likes to improvise, likes to you know,
- 22:24Speaker 5: when nothing's there, try to create a play and you know,
- 22:27Speaker 5: he'll wave the football around, he'll pull a spin move out,
- 22:30Speaker 5: and all of a sudden you look down the field
- 22:32Speaker 5: and he's got seventeen yards right. Well, in a game
- 22:36Speaker 5: like this, that's where you want a wit week. So again,
- 22:39Speaker 5: game time decision. He is, you know, a fellow meathead.
- 22:43Speaker 5: So I would assume he's going to give you everything.
- 22:46Speaker 5: He's got to be able to be out there on
- 22:48Speaker 5: the field, yeah, for sure.
- 22:49Speaker 4: But and look from the silver lining for LSU fans
- 22:53Speaker 4: and LSU defense is that they already have the experience.
- 22:57Speaker 4: They played in the Florida game. Was got kicked out
- 23:00Speaker 4: of the game three three plays in, so they have
- 23:03Speaker 4: they they've been able to go and they've been able
- 23:05Speaker 4: to play at a high level without him already this season,
- 23:09Speaker 4: So they know they can do it. They know they
- 23:10Speaker 4: can create chaos and Diego Pavea. He's a he is
- 23:15Speaker 4: the heart of that team. He's the heart of that offense.
- 23:18Speaker 4: He is the engine that makes it go. But let's
- 23:21Speaker 4: not get it twisted that he's like this explosive, like
- 23:25Speaker 4: four to three guy, that he's a guy that does everything,
- 23:30Speaker 4: does a little bit of everything. He can throw it,
- 23:33Speaker 4: he can run it. He's tough, he's gritty. He's not
- 23:35Speaker 4: gonna slide. He's gonna dive at your knees, trying to
- 23:38Speaker 4: take your knees out. As a ball carrier, he's going
- 23:40Speaker 4: to try to push the pile. If his ball carrier
- 23:43Speaker 4: is getting held up and defenders are trying to come
- 23:46Speaker 4: in and hit, he's gonna come in from twenty yards
- 23:48Speaker 4: and try to clean someone out like while there he does.
- 23:50Speaker 4: He plays like an offensive lineman. He plays quarterback like
- 23:53Speaker 4: a linebacker. But yeah, the team speed for LSU is
- 23:58Speaker 4: going to nullify, like the potential for you know, unless
- 24:01Speaker 4: there's missed assignments, unless there's some sort of trick and
- 24:04Speaker 4: dick and play that gets him out in the open.
- 24:07Speaker 4: He's not going to like just outrun people to the
- 24:10Speaker 4: sideline or outrun people for a long game. He's it's
- 24:14Speaker 4: I said it two days ago. It's death by a
- 24:15Speaker 4: thousand cuts with Diego Pavia. So of course you want
- 24:19Speaker 4: your all American linebacker out there. But I think there's
- 24:23Speaker 4: people that can make up within that LSU roster to
- 24:27Speaker 4: keep us competitive, to keep our defensive elite. And we
- 24:30Speaker 4: did it again. I go back to the Florida game.
- 24:32Speaker 4: He was hurt or not. He wouldn't hurt. He got
- 24:35Speaker 4: kicked out of the game for a crap call. Feelings
- 24:38Speaker 4: were hurt, the referees ears were hurt because he was
- 24:42Speaker 4: screaming so much on the sideline, but he was out
- 24:44Speaker 4: of the game. They found a way to stay elite
- 24:47Speaker 4: on defense. They had five interceptions on DJ Lagway. I
- 24:51Speaker 4: would expect this defense, whether it's wit wit Weeks is
- 24:54Speaker 4: out there or not, I would expect this defense to
- 24:57Speaker 4: give Vanderbilt all that they want.
- 25:00Speaker 3: All right.
- 25:01Speaker 5: Louisiana roots local people, real service. That is Campus Federal

- 25:38Speaker 5: and your finances come first. All right, we'll continue diving
- 25:43Speaker 5: into some of the matchup. You know, we've talked a
- 25:45Speaker 5: lot about Diego Papa. He's the star for Vanderbilt. We
- 25:49Speaker 5: all know that Elis Stowers is a star tied end
- 25:52Speaker 5: for them, but the Vandy defense is one that's probably
- 25:59Speaker 5: under value, you'd doesn't get talked about enough, and it's
- 26:02Speaker 5: really one of the reasons why they've been able to
- 26:04Speaker 5: change who they are. So we'll break down some of
- 26:06Speaker 5: the Vandy defense for LSU's offense and what does the
- 26:10Speaker 5: LSU offense do to try to continue some of the
- 26:13Speaker 5: success they had on the ground against South Carolina from
- 26:16Speaker 5: a week ago, And we'll have that for you when
- 26:18Speaker 5: we jump back here.
- 26:19Speaker 3: Live from Rouses off the Bench. Are you good to all.

- 27:39Speaker 2: to off the Bench, all.
- 27:56Speaker 3: Right, welcome back in.
- 28:00Speaker 5: TV here live from Rouses on this Football Friday talking
- 28:05Speaker 5: a little LSU and Vanderbilt. Now, one of the things
- 28:09Speaker 5: that we haven't gotten into too much, Matthew, is the
- 28:14Speaker 5: Vanderbilt defense against the LSU offense. Because we've talked about,
- 28:18Speaker 5: you know, the stars for Vanderbilt. Obviously for LSU, the
- 28:21Speaker 5: defense has been a star as well. Not the star position,
- 28:24Speaker 5: don't worry, don't get upset.
- 28:25Speaker 4: That's not a position. But it's a mindset, you know that.
- 28:29Speaker 5: Sure, So let's go look at some of the Vanderbilt
- 28:33Speaker 5: defense against this LSU offense. Now, real quick, before we
- 28:36Speaker 5: get to Vanderbilt LSU's offense a week ago, did you
- 28:39Speaker 5: think that you saw the improvements?
- 28:42Speaker 3: I know, you had to turnovers on the goal line.
- 28:44Speaker 5: You had the interception, you were on the one yard
- 28:46Speaker 5: line two different times and didn't score. That's troublesome, we
- 28:49Speaker 5: know that part. But some of the other things. Did
- 28:52Speaker 5: you see some growth after the bye week within the
- 28:55Speaker 5: LSU offense to make you believe that it can go
- 28:58Speaker 5: up from where it was?
- 29:00Speaker 4: Yeah, we talked about this earlier this week, like we
- 29:02Speaker 4: you had a week to improve, you had a week
- 29:04Speaker 4: to to and maybe potentially add some wrinkles in there
- 29:09Speaker 4: and of course, like the big thing that everybody was
- 29:12Speaker 4: worried about, that we were worried about, is the running
- 29:14Speaker 4: game for the LSU Tigers that was very for two
- 29:18Speaker 4: years now been very vanilla, very bland. We have struggled
- 29:22Speaker 4: in short yarded situations. The versatility is just not there,
- 29:26Speaker 4: the creativity is not there. Like we said, we hadn't
- 29:28Speaker 4: run a power all season. Well, this past week you
- 29:31Speaker 4: saw them trying to do things. They pulled the guard
- 29:34Speaker 4: five times in the game. Yeah, holy moly, five times.
- 29:38Speaker 4: If you would have told me they were going to
- 29:39Speaker 4: pull the guard five times earlier in the season, I
- 29:42Speaker 4: would have said you were a liar, because it's it
- 29:44Speaker 4: might as well be five hundred times because it's not happening. Sure,
- 29:47Speaker 4: I don't think any of them were traditional powers. I
- 29:49Speaker 4: think we're giving them the benefit of the doubt on
- 29:51Speaker 4: a quarterback power saying it's a power, not a counter
- 29:54Speaker 4: But it was a counterplay. But so what we're moving
- 29:57Speaker 4: the lot, we're moving pulling guards, we're pulling tight end.
- 30:00Speaker 4: We're being able to wash down one side of the
- 30:02Speaker 4: running game, and then we get under center. I think
- 30:06Speaker 4: the first play the game was under center. The running
- 30:08Speaker 4: game was under the center. So they're trying to do things.
- 30:10Speaker 4: They put a fullback in a short yard of situation
- 30:13Speaker 4: and the hole was there. Okay, never missed the read,
- 30:17Speaker 4: but you know what, you really haven't done it. Like
- 30:19Speaker 4: reading behind a full back is way different than just
- 30:22Speaker 4: like a normal gun rate. Your keys are different, you're reading,
- 30:25Speaker 4: you're reading different things. You got to you gotta not
- 30:28Speaker 4: only read the line, but you got to follow your
- 30:30Speaker 4: fullback and read his cues. So I hope that they
- 30:35Speaker 4: don't just say, well, you know, we tried to do it.
- 30:37Speaker 4: We tried to go you know, twelve personnel or twenty
- 30:41Speaker 4: one personnel or twenty two personnel. We tried to run
- 30:43Speaker 4: it with a fullback and some tight ends and it
- 30:46Speaker 4: just didn't work.
- 30:47Speaker 3: So let's let's scrap that and go back.
- 30:48Speaker 4: To our gun inside run inside zones with some RPOs
- 30:51Speaker 4: behind it. I hope they don't do that, because it's coming.
- 30:55Speaker 3: It was there, it.
- 30:56Speaker 5: Was there, and on the broadcast I kept saying, I
- 30:59Speaker 5: was like, it's close, it's close, Keep running it, keep
- 31:02Speaker 5: running it, don't get away from it. And then you
- 31:04Speaker 5: had Juwan Johnson, he had a big run. Caden Durham
- 31:07Speaker 5: started to hit like eleven twelve yard runs because in
- 31:11Speaker 5: the running game, if it's not hitting in the first
- 31:14Speaker 5: seven runs, you can't get away from it because it
- 31:17Speaker 5: is a part of the game. It adds to the
- 31:18Speaker 5: pace of the game, and you're leaning on the defense
- 31:23Speaker 5: every time you do it. It might not hit for thirty,
- 31:25Speaker 5: but if it's hitting for three and you're doing it
- 31:28Speaker 5: the right way, that three is going to turn into thirteen.
- 31:30Speaker 5: That thirteen is going to turn into twenty eight. The
- 31:32Speaker 5: twenty eight is going to turn into eight fifty something yarder. Right,
- 31:35Speaker 5: you had your longest run of the year, and so
- 31:37Speaker 5: it was good to see them continue to lean on
- 31:41Speaker 5: it a little bit because it was so close in
- 31:42Speaker 5: that game.
- 31:43Speaker 3: Now, this Vanderbilt run defense is good.
- 31:48Speaker 5: They only give up one hundred and two point five
- 31:50Speaker 5: yards per game, that's fifth best in the SEC. Now,
- 31:54Speaker 5: through the air, they give up two hundred and twenty
- 31:56Speaker 5: two point seven that's twelve in the SEC. So they
- 31:59Speaker 5: give up more through the air than they do on
- 32:01Speaker 5: the ground. But that does not mean that you don't
- 32:03Speaker 5: try to establish a running game. No, Like you still
- 32:07Speaker 5: you can't allow like those stats to dictate who you are.
- 32:10Speaker 5: Like you got to be yourself and then look if
- 32:12Speaker 5: the plays show up in the passing game because you're
- 32:15Speaker 5: running the football, that's what complimentary offense is supposed to be.
- 32:20Speaker 4: Yeah, it's I was actually kind of surprised during my
- 32:25Speaker 4: film review from my film my film study this this
- 32:28Speaker 4: this week. I was kind of surprised when you told
- 32:31Speaker 4: when I was texting the group chat about you know,
- 32:33Speaker 4: different different things, different ways, Vanderbilt's getting beat right now,
- 32:37Speaker 4: and you're like, well, there, it's kind of surprising because
- 32:39Speaker 4: they're one of the best running defenses in the SEC.
- 32:42Speaker 4: And I was like, it's kind of shocking to me
- 32:44Speaker 4: because against Alabama, Alabama kicked their tails from left to
- 32:49Speaker 4: right in the running game. I mean they were pushing
- 32:51Speaker 4: the line of scrimmage and they had committed to it. Now,
- 32:54Speaker 4: I don't think they ended up with like a ton
- 32:56Speaker 4: of yards. I think it was like one hundred and
- 32:58Speaker 4: they're I think they're running back out over. I think
- 33:00Speaker 4: the Alabama's running back had over one hundred yards rushing
- 33:04Speaker 4: in that game. But their strength to schedule, it's kind
- 33:09Speaker 4: of played a little part of that. Of course, they
- 33:10Speaker 4: had a game against South Carolina that they did well
- 33:13Speaker 4: that they wanted. At South Carolina didn't have a good
- 33:14Speaker 4: running game either, so I think they've benefited from that.
- 33:17Speaker 4: You know, they played their strength to schedule hasn't probably
- 33:20Speaker 4: not the best running teams, and there's probably a talent deficit.
- 33:23Speaker 4: So but they played Alabama, who of course has a
- 33:26Speaker 4: better roster for like from a talent perspective, and they
- 33:30Speaker 4: ran the ball on them pretty pretty well. So I
- 33:32Speaker 4: would expect LSU to have the opportunities to be successful
- 33:37Speaker 4: on the ground. Yeah, now we saw some improvement last
- 33:40Speaker 4: week with LSU's running a game. Can they continue that.
- 33:42Speaker 4: It's a much better run defense that they're facing this week.
- 33:47Speaker 4: But I could tell you I don't care what the
- 33:49Speaker 4: stats show. Their strength to schedule is going to put
- 33:51Speaker 4: them at the top of the list in the SEC,
- 33:53Speaker 4: just because they really haven't played much, especially in the
- 33:56Speaker 4: running game they've played. They played two big opponents. They
- 33:58Speaker 4: played South Carolina, they played Alabama. Alabama kick their tails
- 34:01Speaker 4: in the running game. South Carolina stinks it running, So
- 34:04Speaker 4: I think the I think the stats are a little
- 34:06Speaker 4: bit skewed there. But from a secondary perspective, they do
- 34:10Speaker 4: everything we've talked about how this team is very well coached,
- 34:13Speaker 4: very versatile on offense, and defense. But let's stick on
- 34:16Speaker 4: the defensive side of the ball. They're gonna show you there.
- 34:19Speaker 4: I don't think they're gonna Their stats are probably very
- 34:23Speaker 4: balanced in the percentages from zone to man to They're
- 34:27Speaker 4: gonna run cover one, They're gonna run cover two, three, four,
- 34:30Speaker 4: they're gonna renc cover six, they're gonna run cover eight.
- 34:33Speaker 4: They'll throw some zero pressures at you and the just
- 34:37Speaker 4: they're very sound.
- 34:39Speaker 3: What do you consider cover eight? So quarter quarter.
- 34:42Speaker 4: Halves is six eight? Quarters are halves quarter quarter? Okay,
- 34:47Speaker 4: so it'd be like it'd be like havel but you
- 34:50Speaker 4: know some people call a quarter quarter halfs eight. Yeah,
- 34:52Speaker 4: so you always count from strong, So quarter quarter halves
- 34:54Speaker 4: would be you got on the strong side of the field,
- 34:57Speaker 4: which is usually the wide side of the field. You
- 34:59Speaker 4: got corner has one quarter, a safety's got a quarter
- 35:03Speaker 4: of the field, and then the backside so the weak
- 35:05Speaker 4: side safety has the other half of the field. So
- 35:08Speaker 4: a quarter quarter half. Now if it's flip if to
- 35:11Speaker 4: the wide side of the field, you got the cover two.
- 35:13Speaker 4: The class it's a much more rare coverage might see
- 35:16Speaker 4: it a little bit more like in the red zone.
- 35:17Speaker 4: But you go half, so two to the field and
- 35:20Speaker 4: then quarters of the backside. Yeah.
- 35:21Speaker 5: I just make sure that we're on the same page
- 35:23Speaker 5: because some people call cover eight quarter quarter half because
- 35:25Speaker 5: they because it's four and two and they just times it.
- 35:27Speaker 5: I just added some coaches do it differently.
- 35:30Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 35:30Speaker 3: I think Jimbo was.
- 35:32Speaker 4: He's to call it quarters. Jimbo called the quarter seven.
- 35:36Speaker 4: Especially the reds, they called it red seven. It was
- 35:37Speaker 4: just quarter, just quarters in the red zone. Yeah. And
- 35:42Speaker 4: then if it's a Nickel personnel, everything's got a double digit,
- 35:44Speaker 4: so it's twenty two, thirty.
- 35:45Speaker 3: Three, forty four.
- 35:47Speaker 5: I loved I loved my guy Jimbo, and he taught
- 35:49Speaker 5: me so much and got me ready for the NFL.
- 35:52Speaker 5: But he had some food bars and he would always say,
- 35:55Speaker 5: now this is gonna be a food bar.
- 35:57Speaker 3: I'm like, coach, you said that seven times in this meeting.
- 35:59Speaker 4: Are we'll just make it normal bars.
- 36:04Speaker 5: It's like, hey, uh, why are we doing this while
- 36:07Speaker 5: we calling this what we're calling this right now?
- 36:09Speaker 4: I know, but look so on the second they're gonna
- 36:12Speaker 4: be vend but it's gonna be very balanced. They're gonna
- 36:14Speaker 4: show you all sorts of different types of coverages. So
- 36:16Speaker 4: you're gonna have chances at big plays, then you're gonna
- 36:18Speaker 4: have chances with times where you're just gonna have to
- 36:20Speaker 4: take the check down, take what's given to you. But
- 36:23Speaker 4: when they do play zone, especially when they play cover two,
- 36:27Speaker 4: their safeties get so deep. Every time they're safe, their
- 36:31Speaker 4: safeties are coached and preached. They're getting told, do not
- 36:34Speaker 4: get beat, beat deep. But that creates opportunity. And I
- 36:38Speaker 4: saw Ty Simpson for Alabama do it. I saw the
- 36:41Speaker 4: door sellers for South Carolina. Do it. Take advantage of
- 36:44Speaker 4: whole shots down the sideline, take advantage of underneath like
- 36:47Speaker 4: DIGG I'm not even talking about underneath, like short routes,
- 36:50Speaker 4: like dig routes, in routes, PRUURL routes deep. Their safeties
- 36:53Speaker 4: get so deep, there's lots of opportunity. There are a
- 36:56Speaker 4: lot of windows for the LSU Tigers for the LSU
- 36:59Speaker 4: receiver to get.
- 37:00Speaker 5: Open, all right, without cheating here, So I've got their
- 37:03Speaker 5: coverage stats right in front of me without cheating. I
- 37:07Speaker 5: know you haven't watched every game. You've watched South Carolina
- 37:09Speaker 5: and Alabama. Which coverage do you think is Vanderbilt's lead coverage?
- 37:14Speaker 4: I would say most teams lead coverage is going to
- 37:19Speaker 4: be some sort of.
- 37:20Speaker 5: Three cover three thirty five percent and go well done.
- 37:25Speaker 4: How much zero they run, I'm gonna say about ten percent,
- 37:28Speaker 4: thirteen thirteen.
- 37:29Speaker 5: Percent, which is a big number for zero, A big
- 37:31Speaker 5: number for zero.
- 37:32Speaker 4: Yeah. Yeah.
- 37:33Speaker 3: Now usually see around like six or seven percent.
- 37:36Speaker 4: Yeah, And a lot of that is you got to
- 37:38Speaker 4: look at schedules as well.
- 37:39Speaker 3: True, they knew they could get away with it.
- 37:41Speaker 4: You play high run teams like Alabama when they were
- 37:43Speaker 4: run they seemed like they were running every play. Yeah,
- 37:46Speaker 4: and it looked like they were averaging seven eight nine
- 37:48Speaker 4: yards or run for in the first half. So they
- 37:50Speaker 4: probably played a little zero there. You know, when you
- 37:53Speaker 4: play a team like Charleston Southern, you get some.
- 37:57Speaker 5: I told you the Buccaneers dangerous. It's good for him,
- 38:01Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 38:02Speaker 4: Hit the portal pretty hard, pretty hard, pretty old buds.
- 38:07Speaker 4: They got thousands of nil dollars to spend, yes, not tens,
- 38:10Speaker 4: just thousands. Yes.
- 38:12Speaker 5: So uh, it's a good point bringing up who they've
- 38:15Speaker 5: played and where those teams are rushing. That probably has
- 38:18Speaker 5: added to the stats because even though we are into
- 38:20Speaker 5: the SEC schedule, you know, South Carolina was dead last
- 38:24Speaker 5: in rushing before they played LSU.
- 38:26Speaker 3: Now LSU's last in South Carolina's.
- 38:28Speaker 4: Fished to win that game at South Carolina, which is impressive,
- 38:32Speaker 4: but yeah, Carolina, we're not real high on them.
- 38:36Speaker 3: That's the game Leonora Sellers went out though with.
- 38:38Speaker 4: The cancushion, went out either late in the first or
- 38:41Speaker 4: second quarter.
- 38:42Speaker 5: Yeah, and look, South Carolina's not yelling. South Carolina is
- 38:46Speaker 5: not a not a good football team. But there's certainly
- 38:49Speaker 5: not a good football team without Leonora Sellers.
- 38:51Speaker 3: Like he is all of their offense. He's the offense
- 38:55Speaker 3: like he was. It's one versus eleven.
- 38:57Speaker 5: Yep, it's like did you not feel like that?
- 39:00Speaker 4: Oh my god? Yeah, Like without Lenora Sellers, they are
- 39:04Speaker 4: absolutely not good. I agree now, especially if you turn
- 39:07Speaker 4: the ball over twice in the red zone. Yes they're
- 39:09Speaker 4: a little bit better, right, yes, but you don't do
- 39:12Speaker 4: that then it's.
- 39:15Speaker 3: Not just the red zone, the one one one all right.
- 39:19Speaker 5: You know what's not bad and who's not just one
- 39:22Speaker 5: versus eleven is Russell pool Company.

- 42:29Speaker 3: Geez compliment.
- 42:31Speaker 4: Okay, go ahead. It's a great song, little John.
- 42:35Speaker 5: You're back. I mean sitting here and enjoying it. I
- 42:38Speaker 5: can hear myself now, Yeah, I can hear the music.
- 42:40Speaker 5: I can hear Flynn now, and I can hear the music.
- 42:43Speaker 5: I don't think we've ever been able to hear the music.
- 42:46Speaker 3: I don't know what.
- 42:47Speaker 4: No, there you go.
- 42:50Speaker 5: So if you're wondering why my my headphone was off
- 42:53Speaker 5: my ear for the first hour of the show, that's
- 42:54Speaker 5: why I couldn't hear Flynn through the.
- 42:59Speaker 4: Job.
- 43:00Speaker 3: Paul. We just want to see you, Bud. We just
- 43:02Speaker 3: want to see you. You don't need to do it,
- 43:04Speaker 3: We just want to see you.
- 43:04Speaker 4: Very handsome.
- 43:05Speaker 5: All right, well done, well done? Okay, Oh my gosh,
- 43:07Speaker 5: that's so much better. I can hear myself, I can
- 43:09Speaker 5: hear Flynn, I can hear the music. Oh, we're here.
- 43:13Speaker 5: It's good, it's good. Okay, everybody, all right, let's go
- 43:16Speaker 5: around the sec like we teased, because you've got old
- 43:20Speaker 5: Miss traveling Athens to take on the jou Jab Bulldogs.
- 43:23Speaker 3: How you feeling about that one?
- 43:24Speaker 4: I feel like George is gonna win that one, So
- 43:27Speaker 4: I feel I feel like ole Miss is a uh.
- 43:30Speaker 4: I hate to use this term because nobody knows what
- 43:33Speaker 4: their mascot is, but paper tiger. They are a paper tiger.
- 43:37Speaker 4: I don't think they are as good as their ranking.
- 43:40Speaker 4: I didn't think they were very that good. When I'm
- 43:43Speaker 4: not gonna say very good. I didn't think they were
- 43:45Speaker 4: that good when LSU went there to take them take
- 43:48Speaker 4: them month.
- 43:48Speaker 5: I thought they were a nine and three football team.
- 43:51Speaker 4: And you still feel that way, Yeah, yeah, nine and three? Yeah, okay,
- 43:55Speaker 4: I could see that. Uh. They just I underestimated how
- 43:59Speaker 4: much the tempo of their offense would neutralize the creativity
- 44:03Speaker 4: of the defense. And it probably shouldn't have been a surprise.
- 44:07Speaker 4: I guess when I'm watching film of a team, it's
- 44:10Speaker 4: hard to tell on the game film like the.
- 44:11Speaker 3: All twenty two, like the tempo, Yeah, because you don't have.
- 44:13Speaker 4: The entertwe Yeah, probably should have watched a little TV
- 44:16Speaker 4: copy on that. Yeah, because you don't get the in
- 44:19Speaker 4: between of the plays. So I underestimated that portion. Now,
- 44:23Speaker 4: of course the Yels defense played still like the end
- 44:26Speaker 4: of the game. They played great for the amount of
- 44:29Speaker 4: plays that they had to, but they neutralized them in
- 44:32Speaker 4: the way that they couldn't get off the field, like
- 44:34Speaker 4: the third third down efficiency was very high for Ole Miss.
- 44:37Speaker 4: I did not think that Old Missus secondary was very good,
- 44:42Speaker 4: and I just didn't think their defense tot we just
- 44:44Speaker 4: didn't play well enough on offense, and creativity wasn't there.
- 44:47Speaker 4: NUSS didn't play well enough. I mean, you can beat
- 44:50Speaker 4: on the road in an SEC game, but I just
- 44:52Speaker 4: don't think they are as complete of a team as
- 44:55Speaker 4: what they're ranking is telling us that they could be.
- 44:58Speaker 4: So I think they go and I think they go
- 44:59Speaker 4: down to Georgia, and I don't know if it's going
- 45:02Speaker 4: to be particularly close enough.
- 45:04Speaker 5: Now, I do think Georgia has some deficiencies as well.
- 45:10Speaker 5: Sure they're not the Georgia where it's just like rolled
- 45:14Speaker 5: the helmet out there. They're going to run the football
- 45:16Speaker 5: and play incredible elite defense and get some play from
- 45:19Speaker 5: their quarterback. I still think yeah, and they still need
- 45:22Speaker 5: to learn how to clap.
- 45:23Speaker 4: They haven't figured the clip figured out the clap portion
- 45:25Speaker 4: of It's actually pretty tough if you think about it.
- 45:29Speaker 3: So they got to show me how to do it.
- 45:31Speaker 3: So everybody wanted to make fun of coach Miles. He
- 45:33Speaker 3: knew what he was doing. He knew to clap, he
- 45:35Speaker 3: knew he knew how to clap, He knew how to
- 45:36Speaker 3: do it.
- 45:37Speaker 4: It does not know how to clap. He is pretty
- 45:38Speaker 4: remedial too. You gotta start wondering. They still got it.
- 45:43Speaker 3: So tebow dused to call him Kirby dumb dumb, So
- 45:47Speaker 3: I think.
- 45:48Speaker 4: What did so? What did Lane Kiffin say earlier this
- 45:50Speaker 4: week about Lane? It was a great clip, uh talking
- 45:53Speaker 4: about I don't think it doesn't look like Kirby's been
- 45:55Speaker 4: excuse Yeah.
- 45:56Speaker 5: Some a reporter asked him, like, who burns more calories
- 45:59Speaker 5: on the side line?
- 46:00Speaker 3: You were, Kurby because you're always moving energy. Yeah.
- 46:03Speaker 5: Yeah, it's like you're always moving always. He's like, I
- 46:05Speaker 5: don't know, if you look at Kirby didn't look at
- 46:06Speaker 5: he's burned many calories.
- 46:07Speaker 3: I get on him by his weight all the time.
- 46:10Speaker 5: I was like, geez, I know you are boys, but man,
- 46:13Speaker 5: this guy's got a family.
- 46:14Speaker 4: So good, so good. And it is funny how all those
- 46:17Speaker 4: coaches that went through the the Saban tree of coaching
- 46:22Speaker 4: are all friends.
- 46:23Speaker 5: Yeah, oh yeah, for sure. Oh yeah, even when they fight,
- 46:26Speaker 5: like Jimbo and Nick did a couple of years ago.
- 46:28Speaker 3: But they're good. They're back now, we're back. They're back.
- 46:31Speaker 4: All right.
- 46:31Speaker 5: So we got Tennessee and Alabama, which we'll get to
- 46:33Speaker 5: later on in the show.
- 46:34Speaker 3: Georgia, ol miss you like Georgia. I like Georgia to
- 46:37Speaker 3: cover just to win.
- 46:39Speaker 4: What's the one?
- 46:40Speaker 3: Uh, we'll look at that coming up.
- 46:41Speaker 5: It's more in a touchdown once going twice, Power too
- 46:46Speaker 5: OTV coming back.
- 46:47Speaker 3: Live from Rouses Off the Bench.
