Latest / Hawk Talk / Recapping Week 9: Seahawks at Cardinals
Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: You're listening to Hawk Talk with former Seahawks wide receiver
- 0:04Speaker 1: Michael Bumpus. Playfak go to roll right, jumps it off
- 0:07Speaker 1: into the right flass to Michael Bumpers, who bounces off
- 0:09Speaker 1: on one tackler gets inside the forty down of the
- 0:12Speaker 1: thirty five yard line. Powered by Seahawks dot Com, Matt
- 0:16Speaker 1: pump fakes looking at the goal line. He throws it
- 0:18Speaker 1: into the end zone. Touchdown Seahawks. It's Michael Bumpus with
- 0:21Speaker 1: a diving catching the end zone ten yard touchdown reception
- 0:26Speaker 1: for Bumpus, and the kid out of Washington State has
- 0:29Speaker 1: found himself a place on this team. Now here's your host,
- 0:32Speaker 1: NASA Chubby. Let the good times roll. The Seahawks have
- 0:36Speaker 1: won their fourth consecutive game, beating the Cardinals thirty one
- 0:40Speaker 1: to twenty one, again four straight wins. This is the
- 0:42Speaker 1: longest winning streak since twenty twenty, when they had five
- 0:45Speaker 1: straight wins. Things are feeling good here at the Virginia
- 0:48Speaker 1: Mason Athletics enter. His team is playing incredible football in
- 0:51Speaker 1: all three phases of the game. But let's wait no
- 0:54Speaker 1: more time, bringing my guy, Michael Bumps. What had happened?
- 0:57Speaker 1: See what happened at first, Look what had happened was
- 1:03Speaker 1: unknocking bomb man four game winning street down to the desert.
- 1:08Speaker 1: Get it dumb. Every single week, I swear we're talking
- 1:10Speaker 1: about this is the most impressive Seahawks win. And once again,
- 1:14Speaker 1: I feel like Sunday was no different. Yeah, Sunday was
- 1:16Speaker 1: a different type of game. It was. It wasn't pretty
- 1:19Speaker 1: to start. You felt like you're in a heavyweight fight.
- 1:21Speaker 1: You're going back and forth. And the Seahawks opened out
- 1:24Speaker 1: the game. They're going at eight play drive. They end
- 1:26Speaker 1: up kicking a field goal. Then the Cardinals respond, and
- 1:29Speaker 1: I remember during this drive, I'm like, man, Cardinals are different. Man,
- 1:32Speaker 1: They're different. They go nine plays, eight three yards. Anyway,
- 1:35Speaker 1: the twenty two yard touchdowns to d Hopkins. So you
- 1:38Speaker 1: look at the first drive by the Seahawks. See you
- 1:39Speaker 1: look at the first drive by the Cardinals. They're like, Okay,
- 1:42Speaker 1: the hop is back. They're gonna be a bit different.
- 1:44Speaker 1: Let's see how this thing turns out. Yeah. I was
- 1:46Speaker 1: a little nervous, you know what I'm saying, just because
- 1:48Speaker 1: again the Cardinals were desperate. Yeah, this is a game
- 1:51Speaker 1: they absolutely needed to win. Their three and five kind
- 1:54Speaker 1: of reeling right now, and you're thinking, Okay, they're gonna
- 1:56Speaker 1: be desperate, and they came out because this team was
- 1:58Speaker 1: also a team that didn't score in the first drive
- 2:00Speaker 1: a game, struggled early in games, struggled to explosive plays,
- 2:03Speaker 1: and for them to come out and have a great
- 2:04Speaker 1: drive off top it kind of had me a little nervous.
- 2:06Speaker 1: But guess what good thing I'm not playing in the game.
- 2:09Speaker 1: And by the way, you mentioned d Hot, big ups
- 2:11Speaker 1: to Tariguan and Mike Jackson who kept Hopkins quiet for
- 2:14Speaker 1: the rest of the ball game. After that touchdown, he
- 2:16Speaker 1: had over one hundred yards. The last two week, Hopkins
- 2:18Speaker 1: was held to just thirty six yards on four receptions,
- 2:22Speaker 1: which is pretty dope. Now. After that, both teams were
- 2:26Speaker 1: going to exchange punts, and when the Seahawks got the
- 2:29Speaker 1: ball back, Gino leads him on a twelve play seventy
- 2:32Speaker 1: nine yard drive ending with a four yard touchdown DK
- 2:34Speaker 1: metcalf that made the score ten seven. And every time
- 2:37Speaker 1: this team needs something, man, every time this team needs
- 2:40Speaker 1: to drive, need some points, Gino has been that dude
- 2:42Speaker 1: got us on the board and had them taking the
- 2:44Speaker 1: leave right there. Yeah, that was a nice little toe
- 2:46Speaker 1: tap back in the end zone by DK Metcalf and
- 2:49Speaker 1: after a couple of punts in a turn of arm
- 2:51Speaker 1: downs by the Seahouks to Colin Murray and the Carners.
- 2:55Speaker 1: Cardinals were putting together a pretty impressive drive. They're going
- 2:57Speaker 1: to six six yards and eleven plays. But then Ryan
- 2:59Speaker 1: Neil does what he does, makes place. He forces a
- 3:02Speaker 1: fumble by Kyler Murray. And what I love about that
- 3:07Speaker 1: is that one is hustle and two Kyler Murphy, Kyler Murray,
- 3:10Speaker 1: I'm why am I struggling on the saying Kyler Murray
- 3:13Speaker 1: holds that ball so loosely. All it takes is a
- 3:16Speaker 1: tiny little tap and the ball is out. And that's
- 3:18Speaker 1: exactly what happened. So they go on a halftime in
- 3:21Speaker 1: it's ten to seven second half. Okay, did not start
- 3:26Speaker 1: the way the Seahawks is wont offensively. They put it
- 3:29Speaker 1: in their first drive, Cardinals punt, and then on the
- 3:32Speaker 1: first play of their second drive, Geno Smith was intercepted
- 3:36Speaker 1: by Zabing Collins ran it back for a thirty yard
- 3:38Speaker 1: pick six. Cardinals take a fourteen ten lead. Now throughout
- 3:42Speaker 1: this winning streak, it has something easy for the Seahawks
- 3:44Speaker 1: but they've played well, and honestly, I feel like this
- 3:46Speaker 1: is the adverse time right there, Cardinals fans getting a
- 3:50Speaker 1: little loud. People are feeling good. Now you're reeling. You're like, okay,
- 3:53Speaker 1: we're down four, and we shouldn't be surprised because Gino
- 3:57Speaker 1: does what he does, and this offense just stays poised.
- 4:00Speaker 1: They come right back, right back. After that, Genial leads
- 4:03Speaker 1: him on a thirteen play seventy five yard drive ending
- 4:06Speaker 1: with a touchdown to Tyler Lockett. There's a little exchange
- 4:09Speaker 1: on social media Booty Baker. He's claiming, you know he
- 4:11Speaker 1: got pushed off on and Tyler said, yeah, man I did,
- 4:16Speaker 1: but because he did, you see it, but hey, it
- 4:19Speaker 1: never happened at the rept and throw the flat. I mean,
- 4:21Speaker 1: the Seahawks have the most worst luck when it comes
- 4:23Speaker 1: to offensive pis and stuff like that. That just evened
- 4:26Speaker 1: out the balancing that. So Tyler, do do your ding,
- 4:29Speaker 1: my guy all day. Not not mad at you. So
- 4:31Speaker 1: then the Cardinals get the ball and this defense Seahawks,
- 4:35Speaker 1: Stevens and Stout, forced them to kick the ball in.
- 4:38Speaker 1: The Hawks take advantage once again. They go thirteen plays
- 4:40Speaker 1: eighty one yards and Ken Walker runs it in for
- 4:44Speaker 1: a touchdown, making a score twenty four two fourteen you
- 4:48Speaker 1: Kyler Murray and the Cardinals would answer with a good
- 4:50Speaker 1: drive of their own. They find Zach Hurts for a touchdown.
- 4:52Speaker 1: They made the score twenty four to twenty one. But
- 4:55Speaker 1: then it was time for the Hawks to respond, and
- 4:57Speaker 1: they did exactly that. Of course they did. That's all
- 4:59Speaker 1: they did in the second half, and they would respond
- 5:01Speaker 1: on a five play, eighty five yard drive ending with
- 5:04Speaker 1: a five yard touchdown run by Ken Walker, and it
- 5:06Speaker 1: was the final nail on the coffin. This is what
- 5:08Speaker 1: did the Cardinals in Seahawks hold on thirty one twenty one.
- 5:11Speaker 1: A big shout out to know a fan who had
- 5:13Speaker 1: a good game. We'll talk about him a little bit playmakers,
- 5:15Speaker 1: but he had a big catch on that drive setting
- 5:17Speaker 1: that up. And I just love that when it's winning time,
- 5:19Speaker 1: this team goes out there and gets it done. They
- 5:21Speaker 1: could have folded up, or things could have got a
- 5:23Speaker 1: little shaky, have to pick six, but they did not.
- 5:25Speaker 1: They came right back and really just methodically just took
- 5:28Speaker 1: the life out of Cardinals. So love to see what
- 5:30Speaker 1: they're doing, and they're just they're playing really good football
- 5:33Speaker 1: and I'm at the point, bump, enough is enough, man,
- 5:35Speaker 1: you believe no more qualifiers, no more. Well, it's only
- 5:39Speaker 1: been a couple of games, you know what, it's the
- 5:41Speaker 1: only thing. No, it's nine games. That's enough to learn
- 5:43Speaker 1: about a football team. They're six and three. This is
- 5:45Speaker 1: a good football team. And the sky's the limit for
- 5:48Speaker 1: the rest of the year for sure. Yeah, we probably
- 5:50Speaker 1: should have started believing in them even more earlier. But
- 5:54Speaker 1: you know, we have some questions, and they've answered the questions.
- 5:56Speaker 1: They at some point during this game they went for
- 5:59Speaker 1: seven and set I could have third downs. Its defense
- 6:01Speaker 1: only allowed fourteen points in four six punts and calls,
- 6:05Speaker 1: one turnover, health of Cardinals to two hundred and sixty
- 6:08Speaker 1: one yards. During this one streak, the Hawks are only
- 6:10Speaker 1: given up two eighty two yards per game. That will
- 6:13Speaker 1: be first in the NFL. So we believe in Geno,
- 6:16Speaker 1: We believe in this defense. We believe in these playmakers,
- 6:20Speaker 1: absolutely playmakers world. So we start. We start here every
- 6:34Speaker 1: week because he's playing at MVP level number seven, number
- 6:37Speaker 1: one in your hearts. Geno Smith twenty six of thirty four,
- 6:40Speaker 1: two hundred and seventy five yards, two touchdowns, the one
- 6:43Speaker 1: interception keepy rating of one oh six point nine. You
- 6:47Speaker 1: also had six carries for thirty eight yards, picked up
- 6:49Speaker 1: a couple of clutch first downs. Gino now has seven
- 6:52Speaker 1: games with multiple pass touchdowns this season. He had only
- 6:55Speaker 1: had seven of those games in its first nine seasons,
- 6:58Speaker 1: and he also set a career high in passing touchdowns.
- 7:01Speaker 1: And I don't think there's enough words, adjectives, whatever, I
- 7:04Speaker 1: can describe how he's playing right now. I just love
- 7:07Speaker 1: the poison, the confidence. We talked about this every week
- 7:10Speaker 1: and it's almost like a broken record, but we think
- 7:12Speaker 1: we had one delay of game or fall start kind
- 7:15Speaker 1: of pelling like that, but consistently it's just smooth. When
- 7:18Speaker 1: the play clock is running down it gets to five seconds,
- 7:20Speaker 1: I'm not panicked because ninety nine percent time they get
- 7:23Speaker 1: the playoff and good things happen. So Gino is just
- 7:26Speaker 1: playing at an MVP level and it's consistent. Again, nine
- 7:29Speaker 1: games through this year, he is who he is now.
- 7:32Speaker 1: You are what the tape is, and right now the
- 7:34Speaker 1: tape saying Gino's good. Yeah, And I was waiting for
- 7:36Speaker 1: him to have a bad moment to see how he responded.
- 7:38Speaker 1: We talked about that and what had happened, and that's
- 7:40Speaker 1: exactly what he did. He responded, even more reason to
- 7:43Speaker 1: keep on believe him. The next playmaker is Kin Walker.
- 7:46Speaker 1: He had twenty six carries for one hundred and nine
- 7:48Speaker 1: yards and two touchdowns. Walker has five straight games with
- 7:52Speaker 1: the Russian touchdown. That's typ where Kurt Warner in nineteen
- 7:55Speaker 1: eighty three, before I was born, long before you were born.
- 7:59Speaker 1: That's how the longest by a rookie in franchise history.
- 8:03Speaker 1: Since becoming the starter, Walker eighty eight carries for into
- 8:06Speaker 1: twenty four yards, six touchdowns. He's averaging one hundred and
- 8:09Speaker 1: six yards per game in four point eight yards per carry.
- 8:12Speaker 1: And they got him involved in the past game. This week,
- 8:14Speaker 1: three catches for twenty yards the game. His game continues
- 8:19Speaker 1: to evolve and get better, and he's reliable. Man. Here's
- 8:23Speaker 1: a couple third downs, the third and short he converted,
- 8:26Speaker 1: another third of medium he converted. You put the ball
- 8:29Speaker 1: in his hands and chances of you gaining yards are
- 8:31Speaker 1: very high. Yeah, and Ken Walker the really cool thing
- 8:34Speaker 1: we talked about this little bit on the postgame show.
- 8:35Speaker 1: It's also about when he got those yards, he got
- 8:38Speaker 1: those hard yards laid in the game in that fourth quarter,
- 8:40Speaker 1: I believe he had eleven carries, sixty two yards and
- 8:42Speaker 1: two touchdowns. So when it's winning time, ken Walker is
- 8:45Speaker 1: ready to go. And what I love about him is
- 8:48Speaker 1: you're not even batting an eye about how many carries
- 8:50Speaker 1: he's getting because he's shown he can carry love twenty
- 8:52Speaker 1: six carries. He had twenty one earlier twenty five, so
- 8:55Speaker 1: he's shown he can get that. So love to see
- 8:58Speaker 1: the guy ken Walker, the rookie who's playing and at
- 9:00Speaker 1: an incredibly high level. And I mentioned him a second ago.
- 9:03Speaker 1: No a fan this tight end. Let me just talk
- 9:05Speaker 1: about all the tight ends. Yeah, that as a collective unit,
- 9:08Speaker 1: I would take them over any other tight end group
- 9:10Speaker 1: in the National League. Yes there's George Kiddle out there,
- 9:14Speaker 1: Yes there's Travis Kelcey, Yes there's Waller. There's some really
- 9:17Speaker 1: good tight ends in this league. But it's a collective.
- 9:19Speaker 1: All three can catch, all three can run, all three
- 9:21Speaker 1: can block, And at one point that was kind of
- 9:23Speaker 1: a knock on Noah Fan and all these guys. Same
- 9:25Speaker 1: with Kobe Parkinson who got in the way room did
- 9:27Speaker 1: some good things this year, but they're playing at a
- 9:29Speaker 1: high level. No Fan five receptions, ninety six yards on
- 9:32Speaker 1: six targets, had that long fifty one yard or which
- 9:35Speaker 1: he set up ken Walker's touchdown towards the end of
- 9:38Speaker 1: that game. So love what the Seahawks are doing with
- 9:41Speaker 1: their tight ends. Love how they're using that thirteen personnel
- 9:43Speaker 1: group and they're going to it a lot more because
- 9:44Speaker 1: they're having success thirteen personnel. I'm actually gonna do a
- 9:47Speaker 1: little video for or not video, just a breakdown of
- 9:50Speaker 1: their thirteen personnel because it's so effective. Are you gonna
- 9:54Speaker 1: run it? Are you gonna pass it? Both of them?
- 9:55Speaker 1: Pick one? They're gonna do it well. Bum before you
- 9:58Speaker 1: jump off that you you mentioned to me during the
- 10:00Speaker 1: when they're watching yesterday, how they change stuff up on
- 10:02Speaker 1: ken Walker's touchdown run where you have Kobe parkin coming
- 10:04Speaker 1: across and they're just doing different things and they're keeping
- 10:06Speaker 1: it fresh. Yeah, the one you're talking about is that
- 10:09Speaker 1: have offset or unbalanced formation. Two tight into the left,
- 10:14Speaker 1: one to the right. Kobe Parkinson motions to the writing.
- 10:17Speaker 1: Typically Dissy would take care of the end and Kobe
- 10:20Speaker 1: would help on the end and then climb to the
- 10:22Speaker 1: next level. They put that on film. So now in
- 10:25Speaker 1: last week's game, he motions over and now they just release.
- 10:28Speaker 1: So once that end sees Will Dissy or whoever or
- 10:31Speaker 1: no offense release, he's thinking, cool pass, I got a
- 10:34Speaker 1: free lane to the quarterback boom hitting with Kobe Parkinson.
- 10:37Speaker 1: Little stuff like that. I see you, Shane Waldron getting
- 10:40Speaker 1: that back. All right, next playmaker. We got the Welsu
- 10:45Speaker 1: probably the best and most consistent player we have on
- 10:48Speaker 1: defense right now. Four tackles, two sacks for two weeks
- 10:50Speaker 1: in a row, two TFLs, three quarterback hits. That's now
- 10:53Speaker 1: seven sacks on the season for Chenna, career high. This
- 10:57Speaker 1: guy is playing at a pro Bowl level. He's called
- 11:00Speaker 1: was in Havoc. He's emotional, and he's playing with speed,
- 11:02Speaker 1: and he might have the best sacks celebration in the league.
- 11:06Speaker 1: Right now. I'm feeling what he's doing. Oh, he's my
- 11:09Speaker 1: guys crushing it. And here's the thing too, So he
- 11:11Speaker 1: has seven sacks, which is a career high from right now.
- 11:13Speaker 1: But his seven sacks man that has him tied for
- 11:16Speaker 1: six in the National Football League. So it's not just
- 11:19Speaker 1: it's not just good for him, it's good for everyone
- 11:21Speaker 1: in the league. Right now. You mentioned it's consistency. I
- 11:24Speaker 1: was excited when we got him from the Chargers. More
- 11:26Speaker 1: excited when I actually saw him play, because this guy
- 11:28Speaker 1: has talent and I have no clue where this team
- 11:31Speaker 1: would have been early on, especially without Uchenna. So love
- 11:34Speaker 1: what number ten is bringing to this thing. And then
- 11:36Speaker 1: the og Bruce oj three tackles when sacked two pfl's
- 11:41Speaker 1: one QB hit. We saw what we saw what he
- 11:44Speaker 1: did to Daniel Jones a couple of weeks ago, and
- 11:46Speaker 1: he smacked him into Sequon Barkley for the tackles. So
- 11:49Speaker 1: I love to see what Bruce's doing when he could
- 11:50Speaker 1: have had a couple of sacks a little against the Giants,
- 11:52Speaker 1: slipped out of a couple, got one yesterday, and Bruce
- 11:55Speaker 1: is just playing high level football. And I think he's
- 11:57Speaker 1: a really instrumental in this team, helping learn, let the
- 12:00Speaker 1: young guys learn. We've not been through the wars, you
- 12:03Speaker 1: know what I mean. What I love about Bruce is
- 12:05Speaker 1: that when you see him play, it's almost like he's
- 12:09Speaker 1: not just happy to be here, but he just appreciates it. Right.
- 12:12Speaker 1: There's a passion and an understanding of who he is
- 12:15Speaker 1: that makes Bruce just valuable to this team and teaching
- 12:19Speaker 1: these young guys how to be professionals. Man, it's been
- 12:22Speaker 1: awesome watching Bruce Stewarts. Thing are the next one. We
- 12:25Speaker 1: got Shelby Harris, he got he had three tackles, one SEC,
- 12:29Speaker 1: one TfL, one QB hit and he's a personality on
- 12:33Speaker 1: this team. If y'all never heard Shelby Harris speak, please
- 12:37Speaker 1: go watch a video or something and his personality, he's
- 12:40Speaker 1: one of a kind. I haven't met a guy on
- 12:42Speaker 1: this team that's like Shelby Harris. And he was a
- 12:44Speaker 1: part of that trade with Russell Wilson going to Denver.
- 12:48Speaker 1: So we had Shelby Harris and you had no offense
- 12:51Speaker 1: come up big today. Thank you, Denver, Broncos. Not to
- 12:54Speaker 1: mention the draft picks we got from that that we use,
- 12:57Speaker 1: I mean it turns into boy and I think what
- 12:58Speaker 1: the other pick was. But yes, thank you Denver, because
- 13:02Speaker 1: right now things are feeling good here in the Emerald City.
- 13:05Speaker 1: I'm not gonna speak to what's happening in Denver right now.
- 13:07Speaker 1: They don't have reason too because it's about it's about
- 13:12Speaker 1: the Seahawks, it's about us. So lots of playmakers. We
- 13:14Speaker 1: can go down the list of how many other guys
- 13:16Speaker 1: contributed and help win the game yesterday, but bumbles, take
- 13:19Speaker 1: a back look, and the receiver round up. Not the
- 13:21Speaker 1: most um explosive game. It's been like that for a
- 13:25Speaker 1: little well now, but guys are still making plays. It
- 13:28Speaker 1: looks like yet one, two, three, four, five, six, seven
- 13:32Speaker 1: guys with receptions on Sunday yep. Not explosive as a group,
- 13:36Speaker 1: but no offense had the most explosive play of the game.
- 13:38Speaker 1: He had five catches for ninety six stars that fifty
- 13:41Speaker 1: one yard game. We talked about. Tyler Lockett five for
- 13:43Speaker 1: sixty seven on five targets, one touchdown where he might
- 13:47Speaker 1: have pushed a little bit, but we ain't. We ain't
- 13:48Speaker 1: tripping Tyler. We ain't tripping. DK had five for thirty
- 13:51Speaker 1: seven and a touchdown off of six targets. Travis Homer
- 13:54Speaker 1: had three for twenty five, a big gang of twenty
- 13:57Speaker 1: two and one of those things Uncle will Disley three
- 14:00Speaker 1: for four twenty four yards. Kenneth Walker, like I mentioned,
- 14:03Speaker 1: gett into the past game he had three for twenty.
- 14:05Speaker 1: Then Parkinson had two for six. I believe one of
- 14:07Speaker 1: those was four a first damn and d Eskridge no catches,
- 14:12Speaker 1: no targets, but he's out there I like seeing d
- 14:15Speaker 1: out there. He's still play, He's still playing and he's
- 14:17Speaker 1: still getting you know, twenty thirty snaps a game, so
- 14:20Speaker 1: it's it's something where you know, Marquis Good wounds out too.
- 14:23Speaker 1: But with this team, it's just someone else is helping
- 14:25Speaker 1: every week. Whether it's tight Ends, whether it's DK, whether
- 14:27Speaker 1: it's Tyler. But it doesn't really matter because what Tyler
- 14:30Speaker 1: say a couple of weeks ago, it's amazing what you
- 14:31Speaker 1: can do when no one wants to credit, one wants
- 14:33Speaker 1: to credit. I mean, and it just bleeds through this team.
- 14:36Speaker 1: I mean, how many other places do you see multiple
- 14:38Speaker 1: guys going to the podium. You see that in the NBA.
- 14:41Speaker 1: But that's how it's structured, and just people were having
- 14:43Speaker 1: a good time. Like this team legitimately does not care.
- 14:48Speaker 1: They just care about winning. He guy doesn't care about
- 14:50Speaker 1: his stats. He didn't care about touchdowns. He cares about winning.
- 14:52Speaker 1: Tyler doesn't care about stats. They care about winning. We
- 14:54Speaker 1: know that about Gino. You can't write him off. Pop
- 14:56Speaker 1: won't right back. So everything is all and even you'll
- 15:00Speaker 1: read all right, So that time to get inside the
- 15:05Speaker 1: coach's corner. Ken Walker, the rookie who's been crushing it
- 15:08Speaker 1: this year. Sealed the game. I sit with this brutal
- 15:11Speaker 1: five yard touchdown around pound his way into the end zone,
- 15:15Speaker 1: first and goal from the five. He's gonna carry it again,
- 15:17Speaker 1: and he's gonna turn up field and he's gonna try
- 15:19Speaker 1: to spin out of a tackle. He gets a push.
- 15:21Speaker 1: Does he get their own touchdown? Shayhawks Ken Walker gets
- 15:27Speaker 1: to the side of his tight ends. Kobe Parkinson was
- 15:30Speaker 1: out in front blocking and they just shoved him across
- 15:33Speaker 1: the line to make you can't knock this kid off
- 15:37Speaker 1: his seat, and he scores his second touchdown of the
- 15:40Speaker 1: game and all but seals it for the Arizona Cardinals
- 15:45Speaker 1: are gonna lose their fourth game in five tries, and
- 15:49Speaker 1: the Seahawks are gonna win again in Arizona as they
- 15:52Speaker 1: take a thirty to twenty one lead. Now, we just
- 15:56Speaker 1: talked about this play. We talked about what they did
- 15:59Speaker 1: off of this play. Now they just said, we're gonna
- 16:02Speaker 1: show you what you think you're gonna see, and we're
- 16:04Speaker 1: gonna do exactly that. They start off in a heavy
- 16:06Speaker 1: right formation, all three tight ends to the right. They
- 16:09Speaker 1: motioned Kobe Parkinson to the left, make the defense communicate.
- 16:12Speaker 1: At the snap, Kobe Parkinson goes flat down the line
- 16:15Speaker 1: of scrimmage. You got no offense on the edge, trying
- 16:17Speaker 1: to control the edge Russia. There you got Will Dissy
- 16:20Speaker 1: inside of no offense. He works up to the second level.
- 16:23Speaker 1: Kobe Parkinson chips off the guy no offense, trying to
- 16:26Speaker 1: get a field. But Kim Walkers says, no, I got this.
- 16:29Speaker 1: He's one on one with the safety. Now makes him move,
- 16:32Speaker 1: gets hit, and then he gets escorted to the end zone.
- 16:35Speaker 1: You got Kobe Parkinson giving a little push right there,
- 16:37Speaker 1: and I believe that as will Gabe Jackson giving a
- 16:40Speaker 1: little push there as well, escort him into the end zone.
- 16:43Speaker 1: You seal the deal with this run right here. It's
- 16:45Speaker 1: a thirteen personnel man, they make it work. It's just physical.
- 16:49Speaker 1: I love it. Everyone does their job on this play.
- 16:51Speaker 1: You got awesome life going to the second level. Boom,
- 16:53Speaker 1: Gabe Jackson do what he's doing. Will Distley blocking the
- 16:56Speaker 1: safety in the court. I mean this formation is on
- 16:58Speaker 1: the field. I like what we're doing. And the thing
- 17:00Speaker 1: about it is we can run any direction. Last week,
- 17:04Speaker 1: on the Ken Walker's game ceiling touchdown against the Giants,
- 17:07Speaker 1: it was thirteen person now and the run was designed
- 17:10Speaker 1: to go to the three tight inside. Ken saw some boom,
- 17:12Speaker 1: put the footling around, cut it back this time, runs
- 17:15Speaker 1: behind his guys as blockers, and they get it done.
- 17:18Speaker 1: And I'd love to see it too because and these
- 17:21Speaker 1: aren't all devastating box but they do just enough. They're physical.
- 17:24Speaker 1: I love seeing the celebration. Lucas get in there, Hey
- 17:27Speaker 1: Jackson getting in there, throwing the hands up, the assist
- 17:30Speaker 1: from Kobe Parkinson doing his best bush push, you know
- 17:33Speaker 1: what I'm saying. And it's just it's just good football
- 17:35Speaker 1: and this team is having fun. The celebration you can
- 17:37Speaker 1: just tell. And then right after that with the greatest
- 17:40Speaker 1: thing was you can audibly hear on the broadcast like
- 17:42Speaker 1: it does every time the Seahawks play in Arizona. Is
- 17:45Speaker 1: loud chance, lots of blue and green having a good time.
- 17:48Speaker 1: Because the Seahawks get another victory in the desert, which
- 17:51Speaker 1: they've done I believe a million times the last ten years,
- 17:55Speaker 1: but eight one on one last ten times there, it's
- 17:58Speaker 1: pretty good, bumpy at pretty good. And the one loss
- 18:01Speaker 1: that we had was that crazy one in twenty twenty.
- 18:03Speaker 1: When square those points, we don't need to talk about that.
- 18:05Speaker 1: I'll take the eight one and one because we get
- 18:08Speaker 1: to get into our favorite formation. Here comes the Seahawk
- 18:13Speaker 1: offense onto the field and the Vikings defense trudging out
- 18:16Speaker 1: there knowing that one meal down and the Seahawks are
- 18:21Speaker 1: gonna wind the clock down and women's one. It's the
- 18:24Speaker 1: victory formation on Hawk Talk. Another game, another balanced effort
- 18:28Speaker 1: from these Seattle Seahawks. They got this thing done in
- 18:31Speaker 1: all three phases of the game, offense, defense, special teams.
- 18:34Speaker 1: And after that pick six and the third quarter, the
- 18:36Speaker 1: Seahawks answered with three straight touchdown drives. This team is
- 18:39Speaker 1: battle tested, they're legitimate, and they're planning at a high level,
- 18:42Speaker 1: and they are dangerous for the rest of the NFC. Yeah, man,
- 18:45Speaker 1: And they responded. This was a different game for these guys.
- 18:48Speaker 1: They have won in different ways. You have to shut
- 18:49Speaker 1: down the run last week. The week before that, you
- 18:52Speaker 1: had to get after the quarterback. This week, they had
- 18:54Speaker 1: to come through after a pick six and just handle adversity.
- 18:59Speaker 1: They have three straight drives after that pick six, and
- 19:02Speaker 1: when it's time to win, these guys are balling. Yeah.
- 19:04Speaker 1: I mean in the defense, what they're doing right now,
- 19:07Speaker 1: it's crazy. I mean every year. The last three years,
- 19:09Speaker 1: we've talked about this crazy turnaround, but this one's even
- 19:12Speaker 1: more sudden. I feel like the other turnarounds in twenty
- 19:15Speaker 1: twenty twenty one happened kind of late in the second
- 19:17Speaker 1: half of the season, right after the same game. So
- 19:19Speaker 1: the last four weeks, it's like completely polar opposite. They're
- 19:22Speaker 1: holding teams under. They held the Cardinals under three hundred
- 19:25Speaker 1: yards in just fourteen points if you don't include the
- 19:27Speaker 1: pick six. They held the Giants at two hundred and
- 19:29Speaker 1: twenty five yards last week. And there's just so many
- 19:31Speaker 1: dudes contributing right now. So I gotta get a lot
- 19:33Speaker 1: of credit to Pete Carroll obviously, and Clinton Hurt and
- 19:36Speaker 1: that defensive staff and everyone just sticking with it. Man,
- 19:38Speaker 1: there's a lot of negativity, and rightfully so, they weren't
- 19:40Speaker 1: playing good football at the time, but they all took together.
- 19:43Speaker 1: They all knew how talented the guys were in that room.
- 19:45Speaker 1: And it's showing up on Sundays right now and it
- 19:48Speaker 1: looks good. These guys are six and three, first place
- 19:51Speaker 1: in the NFC West. Come on now, now the Hawks
- 19:55Speaker 1: play the Bucks in Germany, it will be there. They
- 19:58Speaker 1: just climb off a big win over the Los Angeles Rams.
- 20:01Speaker 1: You get Ramsey in the paper talking all that stuff.
- 20:05Speaker 1: They're all discombobulated in LA. But our focus is on
- 20:08Speaker 1: the bucks. Let's go to Germany and get it done.
