- 0:00SPEAKER_01: This is Let's Wine with Brendan Stacy, and this is Brendan Stacy.
- 0:03SPEAKER_01: We're back with another weekly episode, and we just wanted to well, hold on.
- 0:07SPEAKER_01: You left me again.
- 0:08SPEAKER_01: I did.
- 0:09SPEAKER_01: We went away week, came back, went away.
- 0:11SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so we did.
- 0:12SPEAKER_00: Left me again to celebrate your mom's 70th birthday.
- 0:15SPEAKER_00: We sure did, and we had a great time.
- 0:17SPEAKER_00: Good.
- 0:17SPEAKER_00: We made it to Juliet, Georgia.
- 0:20SPEAKER_00: To I know, because you talked about Whistle Stop Cafe.
- 0:24SPEAKER_00: And we were ready to roll.
- 0:26SPEAKER_00: They did have delicious fried green tomatoes, delicious fried okra.
- 0:30SPEAKER_00: That's the two things that we got, and both of us got sweet tea.
- 0:32SPEAKER_00: I love fried okra.
- 0:34SPEAKER_00: I love fried green tomatoes too, but the okra I think was the best.
- 0:37SPEAKER_00: It was really good.
- 0:38SPEAKER_00: Walk around the little town.
- 0:39SPEAKER_00: It was nice, and they have lots of different, very eclectic items, you know, for sale in the different stores and stuff.
- 0:45SPEAKER_01: But I know we gotta bring it up because we talked about this before in the past when I went with Curry and we went in April and went early.
- 0:52SPEAKER_01: And I would have paid money to see this woman's face to walk in that restaurant because there's no air conditioning.
- 0:57SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 0:57SPEAKER_00: So if I had a best friend who was planning on going on a trip in August, I would say, hey, just so you know, that restaurant's not air conditioning.
- 1:04SPEAKER_00: I guess I didn't realize it.
- 1:05SPEAKER_00: What the fuck?
- 1:06SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 1:07SPEAKER_00: So I was sitting there trying to enjoy my fried green tomatoes and okra.
- 1:10SPEAKER_00: It had a fan right over our table, which was really if that fan hadn't been there, I probably would have had to get and leave.
- 1:16SPEAKER_00: We didn't stay long.
- 1:17SPEAKER_00: I mean, it was like we just gobbled down some stuff to say we did it.
- 1:20SPEAKER_00: We didn't even finish everything, but it was a lot of food.
- 1:23SPEAKER_01: Was there alcohol on the menu?
- 1:24SPEAKER_00: No, there was no alcohol in that menu.
- 1:26SPEAKER_00: And that's another thing.
- 1:28SPEAKER_00: We shouldn't discuss the thing.
- 1:29SPEAKER_00: Uh they did have a big sign in one in front of the stores that said wine, which they were shown up by the bottle.
- 1:34SPEAKER_00: And so I went in there, none of it looked appetizing to me.
- 1:38SPEAKER_00: No, no, I was just like, You gotta go to the back room.
- 1:41SPEAKER_00: That's where I found the fruity stuff.
- 1:42SPEAKER_00: The fruity stuff is in the back room.
- 1:44SPEAKER_00: Back room.
- 1:44SPEAKER_00: Well, I didn't make it that far.
- 1:46SPEAKER_00: Plus, I was it was so hot.
- 1:47SPEAKER_00: Of course, it was the temperature, it was a hundred degrees that day.
- 1:51SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah.
- 1:51SPEAKER_00: And then it's funny how when you know you have no reception on your phone, how slow the time ticks.
- 1:58SPEAKER_00: We're still here and we don't have reception.
- 2:00SPEAKER_00: You know, you're what if somebody needs me?
- 2:01SPEAKER_00: I mean, you know, I'm not a heart doctor.
- 2:03SPEAKER_01: We used to go places with no phone all the time.
- 2:06SPEAKER_01: We didn't have it.
- 2:07SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 2:08SPEAKER_00: So it was a nice little stop.
- 2:09SPEAKER_00: I was surprised that train really does run.
- 2:12SPEAKER_00: A train came through there while we were there.
- 2:14SPEAKER_00: Toot-tooted and they waved, you know.
- 2:16SPEAKER_00: Chew-choo.
- 2:17SPEAKER_00: And it was funny because it was like you saw the train coming, you knew it was coming, and then they do the toot toot and you jump, you know, air like it was fun.
- 2:25SPEAKER_01: I'm surprised you didn't take your top off and wave it over with the top.
- 2:28SPEAKER_00: I know, I'm surprised too as hot as it was.
- 2:30SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 2:31SPEAKER_00: So it was nice, and we got to go there and you know, we did it.
- 2:34SPEAKER_00: We could say we were there.
- 2:35SPEAKER_00: We need to go in the fall.
- 2:36SPEAKER_00: The winter when it's cold.
- 2:37SPEAKER_00: Yeah, in the winter.
- 2:38SPEAKER_00: When I'm freezing, that would be the best time.
- 2:40SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 2:40SPEAKER_01: I'm not taking it off my list.
- 2:41SPEAKER_01: I would go back.
- 2:42SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 2:42SPEAKER_00: Just not anything that's hot months.
- 2:45SPEAKER_00: For sure.
- 2:46SPEAKER_00: I would go back again in the cooler times.
- 2:48SPEAKER_00: I'm sure that area is beautiful in the fall.
- 2:50SPEAKER_00: I mean, that drive there was nice after it got us off the highway.
- 2:55SPEAKER_00: We didn't know where we were.
- 2:56SPEAKER_00: Luckily, the GPS works like until you turn in.
- 2:59SPEAKER_00: And then it's but there were a few places where we were going, and then it would go out and then it would work again, and then it would go out, we'd have no reception.
- 3:07SPEAKER_00: And leaving there, we didn't know whether we should turn right or left.
- 3:10SPEAKER_00: Oh no.
- 3:11SPEAKER_00: Uh I know.
- 3:12SPEAKER_00: So I just went, I said, Well, we know what was that way, you know.
- 3:15SPEAKER_00: So let's go this way.
- 3:16SPEAKER_00: So we just went that way until GPS came off and on and off and on and off and on, and we finally just found civilization.
- 3:22SPEAKER_01: I feel like mine stayed on for some reason.
- 3:25SPEAKER_01: I was lucky, I guess, and it would be nice to go in the fall.
- 3:28SPEAKER_01: And just a little tip.
- 3:29SPEAKER_01: When I went, I didn't go on any highways.
- 3:31SPEAKER_01: I clicked my GPS to not have it to see what the difference was, and it was only like a 20-minute difference.
- 3:35SPEAKER_01: So I had a lot of nice scenery.
- 3:37SPEAKER_00: We took um the highway once we got out of down this way.
- 3:40SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 3:41SPEAKER_00: And then it was back roads, you know, for the last half of the trip, but it was pretty.
- 3:46SPEAKER_00: It was nice.
- 3:46SPEAKER_00: And I would go again when the temperature says I can go.
- 3:49SPEAKER_00: The wait staff that was there.
- 3:51SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh, they were soaking wet.
- 3:53SPEAKER_00: Oh, I bet.
- 3:54SPEAKER_00: It felt so bad for those, the weight staff that was there.
- 4:00SPEAKER_01: To sweat like that all day long.
- 4:01SPEAKER_00: Sweat like that all day long.
- 4:02SPEAKER_00: And then, you know, when you work around food, you don't want to eat the food.
- 4:05SPEAKER_00: You know, you're so sick of food.
- 4:07SPEAKER_01: That's what I need.
- 4:07SPEAKER_00: But it was a nice trip.
- 4:08SPEAKER_00: I'll do that again.
- 4:09SPEAKER_00: And then we went from there down to Cordille.
- 4:12SPEAKER_00: It's Cordille, not Cordille.
- 4:14SPEAKER_00: Oh, okay.
- 4:15SPEAKER_00: Like I want to call it.
- 4:15SPEAKER_00: It's Cordille.
- 4:16SPEAKER_00: I have to think of pickles.
- 4:18SPEAKER_00: So I'll say Deal.
- 4:19SPEAKER_00: It's Cordille.
- 4:20SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 4:20SPEAKER_00: Georgia is where we went and stayed at a hotel.
- 4:23SPEAKER_00: We had a swimming pool and uh hung out, but uh ended up hanging out with my little brother, his children.
- 4:29SPEAKER_00: One of his kids has a grandbaby, so we got them, you know, hang out and uh play with them in the pool.
- 4:34SPEAKER_00: You know, just had a good time.
- 4:35SPEAKER_00: Nice and questionable.
- 4:37SPEAKER_00: It it was questionable.
- 4:39SPEAKER_00: It was questionable in so many different aspects of the place that you know they kept saying you could move.
- 4:45SPEAKER_00: Ah I didn't want to switch room.
- 4:47SPEAKER_00: You know, we already had our stuff everywhere.
- 4:49SPEAKER_00: We were saying you could move.
- 4:50SPEAKER_00: The the hotel people were saying we could change the room.
- 4:53SPEAKER_00: Oh, did you complain?
- 4:54SPEAKER_00: Well, I mean, some of the stuff like Okay, we gotta throw this in reverse.
- 4:58SPEAKER_01: Okay, okay, so you go and check in, you go to your room, what's wrong.
- 5:00SPEAKER_00: It felt nice in there at the time.
- 5:02SPEAKER_00: And then by the time we unload the car, I had actually accused mother of did you touch that air conditioning?
- 5:08SPEAKER_00: You know, because when I know, because it felt hot, but ended up cooling off, but I felt like it was just still humid.
- 5:14SPEAKER_00: There was no like the humidity in the room.
- 5:17SPEAKER_01: I think the weather has got that everywhere high.
- 5:20SPEAKER_01: These air conditioners are trying to keep up.
- 5:21SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 5:22SPEAKER_00: We got through that, you know, when you brush your teeth, the sink would stop up.
- 5:25SPEAKER_00: Every day that we were there.
- 5:27SPEAKER_00: Oh well, we were there three days, all three days.
- 5:29SPEAKER_00: I had to go to the front desk, our room keys would quit working.
- 5:32SPEAKER_00: Oh even though we were booked, you know, for the whole time.
- 5:35SPEAKER_00: So that was annoying.
- 5:36SPEAKER_00: I'm sure.
- 5:37SPEAKER_00: So every day, you know, I'm down there asking for that.
- 5:39SPEAKER_00: We all had one extra roll of toll paper in the room.
- 5:41SPEAKER_00: So, of course, by the next day, the one that's almost gone, and then you have one more.
- 5:46SPEAKER_00: Well, I put that last roll.
- 5:48SPEAKER_00: I'm nervous if there's not extra toll paper.
- 5:50SPEAKER_00: I might use a whole roll in one day, you never know.
- 5:52SPEAKER_00: Well, you never know.
- 5:54SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 5:55SPEAKER_00: So, you know, anyway, so I was down there asking for toll.
- 5:58SPEAKER_00: Oh, our room phone didn't work.
- 6:00SPEAKER_00: So every time I needed something from the front desk, I had to walk down to the front desk to get it or ask for it.
- 6:06SPEAKER_00: They didn't come and take our trash out, so I had to go down there and ask for extra bags so that you know they only give you two little tiny trash cans.
- 6:14SPEAKER_00: You know, so every day those were full, and so if I had to want the trash out of there and new bags put in, you know, like I want a home.
- 6:20SPEAKER_00: I don't want to see my trash overflowing.
- 6:22SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 6:22SPEAKER_00: It never does here.
- 6:23SPEAKER_00: Never.
- 6:24SPEAKER_00: I was just it it it you know the pool could have been cleaner.
- 6:28SPEAKER_00: It just, I mean, again, it's cordial.
- 6:31SPEAKER_00: Well, I didn't know you went to the no-tell motel, Georgia.
- 6:34SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 6:34SPEAKER_00: It was um, it wasn't pleasant.
- 6:36SPEAKER_00: They did have a free breakfast that ended at 9 30, which you know, I don't get up that I don't want to get up that early.
- 6:42SPEAKER_00: And then mom had gone down there and got me some eggs and sausage and some fruit and all kinds of stuff.
- 6:49SPEAKER_00: I was like, okay, I I can have some the eggs, they just smell good, you know, look you know how just fluffy eggs.
- 6:54SPEAKER_00: They tasted nasty.
- 6:56SPEAKER_00: I was like, how do you fuck up a scrambled egg?
- 6:58SPEAKER_00: But anyway, so I I know, you know, it was well, I'm sorry I didn't realize all that.
- 7:04SPEAKER_01: I'm just hearing this for the first time about your hotel stay.
- 7:07SPEAKER_00: Yeah, the hotel stay.
- 7:08SPEAKER_01: And here, I was telling you, don't stay by Juliet.
- 7:10SPEAKER_01: I mean, where we stayed, it was very clean.
- 7:12SPEAKER_01: I can't complain.
- 7:13SPEAKER_01: I love the people there.
- 7:14SPEAKER_01: Should have had to just stay there, I guess.
- 7:16SPEAKER_00: But well, that was far from where we were going to end up.
- 7:19SPEAKER_00: I get it.
- 7:19SPEAKER_00: To spend time with family, which all of that was very nice.
- 7:22SPEAKER_00: I got to meet my gosh.
- 7:23SPEAKER_00: My brother's grandchild would be my nephew.
- 7:27SPEAKER_00: My grandnephew.
- 7:28SPEAKER_00: Grandnephew, yeah.
- 7:28SPEAKER_00: Oh, okay.
- 7:29SPEAKER_00: I got to meet him.
- 7:30SPEAKER_00: You know, he's a precious, precious little baby.
- 7:32SPEAKER_00: So I'm the great aunt.
- 7:33SPEAKER_00: I got to meet the great nephew.
- 7:34SPEAKER_00: Adorables.
- 7:36SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 7:36SPEAKER_00: I've never I haven't seen parenting uh like this before, but I think I'm a fan.
- 7:41SPEAKER_00: This baby is almost two.
- 7:42SPEAKER_00: He doesn't watch TV.
- 7:44SPEAKER_00: They don't put it on in their home.
- 7:46SPEAKER_00: That's good.
- 7:47SPEAKER_00: Never.
- 7:48SPEAKER_00: So he doesn't do any screen time with even TV.
- 7:51SPEAKER_00: I think no screen time for kids is no phone, no tablet.
- 7:54SPEAKER_00: I think of that as no screen time.
- 7:56SPEAKER_00: I didn't realize no TV.
- 7:57SPEAKER_01: Well, I think I told you one time way back when we were out to eat, and you know how some restaurants have the little games at the table.
- 8:03SPEAKER_01: And I went to pull that around to play with Lily, and she said, uh-uh, no screen time.
- 8:07SPEAKER_01: I was like, Oh, I didn't even think of that as being screen time either.
- 8:10SPEAKER_01: I would think it's something they pull out of their pocket.
- 8:12SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 8:12SPEAKER_01: And I get it.
- 8:12SPEAKER_01: I I think a TV is screen time.
- 8:14SPEAKER_00: No, but not like yeah.
- 8:16SPEAKER_00: That's very, very cool.
- 8:17SPEAKER_01: Love that.
- 8:18SPEAKER_01: He's never had processed sugar.
- 8:20SPEAKER_01: Love that for him.
- 8:21SPEAKER_01: He's gonna go ballistic when he finally has it because somebody somewhere in school or something's gonna slip into something.
- 8:26SPEAKER_01: And it the addiction will start.
- 8:28SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 8:28SPEAKER_00: Well, he's not even two yet, but the plan is to homeschool, so there'll be control over that.
- 8:33SPEAKER_00: He's learning sign language for every word he learns to say, he knows how to sign it.
- 8:37SPEAKER_00: That's cute.
- 8:38SPEAKER_00: That's amazing.
- 8:39SPEAKER_00: Yes, it is.
- 8:40SPEAKER_00: And if he says it, he's signed.
- 8:41SPEAKER_00: So that's cool.
- 8:42SPEAKER_00: I think that's very cool.
- 8:43SPEAKER_00: It's gonna be interesting to watch.
- 8:45SPEAKER_00: I think he's gonna be a better person than the rest of us.
- 8:47SPEAKER_00: Oh, for sure.
- 8:48SPEAKER_00: Smarter.
- 8:48SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah.
- 8:49SPEAKER_00: He's gonna be way more interesting and smarter and kind of maybe like a scout person, like they have dedicated time for this is art.
- 8:57SPEAKER_00: You're listening to music, you're not watching it.
- 8:59SPEAKER_00: Take time to create.
- 9:00SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you have time to create and learn sign language as a you learn a word.
- 9:05SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 9:06SPEAKER_00: I think it's neat, it's amazing.
- 9:07SPEAKER_00: I I love it.
- 9:08SPEAKER_00: I love it for him, I love it for the parents.
- 9:11SPEAKER_00: You know, that takes dedication.
- 9:12SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah.
- 9:13SPEAKER_00: You know, you can be hard to walk in the door and flick on the TV and go cook in peace.
- 9:17SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 9:17SPEAKER_00: Oh, that's true too.
- 9:18SPEAKER_00: I mean, just going about your day.
- 9:20SPEAKER_00: I'm very interested.
- 9:21SPEAKER_00: I love it for the family and I love it for the baby.
- 9:24SPEAKER_01: I know we'd like updates on that.
- 9:25SPEAKER_01: I know.
- 9:26SPEAKER_01: Each year I want to know how he's progressing.
- 9:28SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 9:28SPEAKER_00: Taylor, if you're ever listening, we want to know.
- 9:31SPEAKER_00: We want updates.
- 9:32SPEAKER_00: I would love to just talk to her and kind of pick her brain some more.
- 9:36SPEAKER_00: How'd she decide this?
- 9:37SPEAKER_00: Did she always know she was gonna raise a baby like this?
- 9:39SPEAKER_00: Did she decide it later in life?
- 9:41SPEAKER_00: Or how was she raised?
- 9:42SPEAKER_00: They're young.
- 9:42SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 9:43SPEAKER_00: I know I didn't ask how she was raised.
- 9:44SPEAKER_00: All of that would be very intelligent, like highly yeah, very talkative, very social.
- 9:50SPEAKER_00: So I don't think that's gonna be.
- 9:51SPEAKER_00: I think if she were quiet and then you homeschool.
- 9:53SPEAKER_00: Then you'd be worried.
- 9:54SPEAKER_00: Then you kind of worry, you know, is your is your homeschooled child gonna be how they say, um, socially acclimated?
- 10:01SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 10:02SPEAKER_00: I mean, he smiled at people, waved at pe you know, the little boy, and that's so I think with her being very social, it's gonna be easier.
- 10:09SPEAKER_01: A lot of people don't understand homeschooling either.
- 10:11SPEAKER_01: The girls next door to us, I learned a lot from their mom because they s they would sign up for things and go to the South Florida Community College for all the group activities and the plays and the different things and go to the museum.
- 10:21SPEAKER_01: And so they would sign up when other schools were going.
- 10:23SPEAKER_01: So homeschooling is primarily just the lessons.
- 10:26SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 10:27SPEAKER_01: Whereas, you know, they still have things that they get to do.
- 10:29SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 10:30SPEAKER_01: I love that.
- 10:30SPEAKER_01: I love that.
- 10:31SPEAKER_01: So they're not completely hidden away from the rest of the world.
- 10:34SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 10:34SPEAKER_00: I just seen some, you know, homeschool kids, you know, you have that picture in your brain like the Douglas or Oh yeah.
- 10:39SPEAKER_01: Oh, don't even get me started on those shit biscuits.
- 10:42SPEAKER_01: Them goddamn Jim Bob fathering that whole clan of children.
- 10:46SPEAKER_01: Don't even get me started.
- 10:47SPEAKER_00: Anyway, when you think of homeschool kids, you kind of think of that kind of but that's obviously not how Charlie, his name's Charlie.
- 10:53SPEAKER_00: Oh he is so cute.
- 10:55SPEAKER_00: As long as he doesn't grow up and be Jim Bob Duggar.
- 10:57SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 10:58SPEAKER_00: I I don't I think his parents would step in way before that, but they're gonna be very attentive.
- 11:02SPEAKER_00: I love that.
- 11:02SPEAKER_00: I love that for all of them.
- 11:04SPEAKER_00: Do they plan on more children?
- 11:05SPEAKER_00: I hope so.
- 11:06SPEAKER_00: I mean, maybe I hope so.
- 11:07SPEAKER_00: That'd be awesome.
- 11:08SPEAKER_00: They make pretty babies, so I hope so.
- 11:10SPEAKER_01: Maybe they'll just focus on this one and make him so exceptional, he'll be running the world.
- 11:15SPEAKER_00: I just get to be a great aunt.
- 11:16SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 11:18SPEAKER_01: All right, did you guys what restaurants did you go to?
- 11:21SPEAKER_00: We did go to some very, very good restaurants after we let the whistle stop.
- 11:25SPEAKER_00: I can't think of the name of all of them.
- 11:26SPEAKER_00: We went to, oh, one was called uh 16 East.
- 11:29SPEAKER_00: Sounds uppity.
- 11:30SPEAKER_00: It was nice, very nice.
- 11:32SPEAKER_00: Something called the railroad.
- 11:33SPEAKER_00: Rail rail, road rail.
- 11:35SPEAKER_00: They have beers, they're beers, lots of beer.
- 11:37SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 11:37SPEAKER_00: And then we went to a place on the lake.
- 11:39SPEAKER_00: This is so funny.
- 11:40SPEAKER_00: We were on Lake Blackshire.
- 11:42SPEAKER_00: Lake Blackshire.
- 11:43SPEAKER_00: It's either Blakeshire or Shire.
- 11:45SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 11:46SPEAKER_00: And there's a restaurant on that lake that we went to.
- 11:48SPEAKER_00: I can't think of the name of it, but it was hysterical because when we went to the Whistle Stop Cafe, my mom had posted a picture that she took of me with the menu because I'm her favorite daughter.
- 12:00SPEAKER_00: And then she had posted that.
- 12:01SPEAKER_00: One of her friends had commented on her thing.
- 12:04SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh, we were there today.
- 12:05SPEAKER_00: And that was funny.
- 12:06SPEAKER_00: Um, we were there today also, but I think they were there earlier than us because they were probably smarter and beat the heat.
- 12:11SPEAKER_00: So then the place we went a day or two later on the lake to eat, Jeff said one of his friends from Facebook had checked in that they had been there.
- 12:20SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh.
- 12:20SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 12:21SPEAKER_00: City of popular source that could be.
- 12:23SPEAKER_00: I know it's just funny because you know it's like worlds away.
- 12:26SPEAKER_00: You know, you wouldn't think, oh, people are here, but so we did all that.
- 12:29SPEAKER_00: Hopefully, my mom will be posting some of the pictures that she took soon.
- 12:32SPEAKER_00: I have some that we took on the lake.
- 12:34SPEAKER_00: It was really pretty.
- 12:35SPEAKER_00: And um, so we have fun.
- 12:36SPEAKER_00: The family fun made the hotel stay worth it.
- 12:39SPEAKER_00: It made the Oh yeah.
- 12:41SPEAKER_00: Do they stay there too?
- 12:42SPEAKER_00: No, they they live close by.
- 12:43SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 12:44SPEAKER_00: So yeah, they live close by and I had to pick up my niece from after she got off the school bus, and we took her out galley venting little girls day, and okay.
- 12:53SPEAKER_00: So that was fun, and you know, my brother's doing well and all his family, so I'm just happy for them.
- 12:58SPEAKER_00: Well, good.
- 12:59SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 12:59SPEAKER_00: I want I want them to come up here and do some stuff, and I want to go back down there and there's some stuff.
- 13:02SPEAKER_00: I already want to run a house vote on that lake.
- 13:05SPEAKER_01: I'm surprised you didn't stay an extra day because remember what happened while Stacy was gone.
- 13:10SPEAKER_01: The way we work here.
- 13:11SPEAKER_01: It's funny because Jeff and I were both here and I didn't see him the entire time you were gone, except that first day when he left to go to work, and I happened to be sitting in here working.
- 13:19SPEAKER_01: Uh-huh.
- 13:19SPEAKER_01: So then the rest of the time I didn't hear from him again until at 4 18 in the morning.
- 13:24SPEAKER_01: There was a text that I found when I got up talking about the upstairs air went off.
- 13:28SPEAKER_01: And I'm I didn't realize it at the time because it was on enough, you know, in the dark yet and I was asleep.
- 13:32SPEAKER_01: So I didn't know it until about the time I left.
- 13:34SPEAKER_01: So you left at the perfect time to be out of your bed.
- 13:38SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I guess.
- 13:39SPEAKER_00: To be up and out of here.
- 13:40SPEAKER_00: We did, and but then I had to come back yesterday and we still how many upstairs air.
- 13:45SPEAKER_00: But they got it fixed yesterday.
- 13:46SPEAKER_00: Is yesterday the day I came back?
- 13:47SPEAKER_00: No.
- 13:47SPEAKER_00: No day before yesterday.
- 13:49SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 13:49SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 13:49SPEAKER_00: So that day.
- 13:50SPEAKER_01: Well, you know, we still have power.
- 13:52SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 13:52SPEAKER_01: There's still air downstairs.
- 13:53SPEAKER_01: But I admit I can't, I'm usually one of those I can sleep anywhere, and I like a good hard surfacing.
- 13:57SPEAKER_01: And I came down here and I just wasn't comfortable.
- 14:00SPEAKER_01: So finally, you know, after running the fans upstairs and leaving the doors open, I want to say it was about 2 a.m.
- 14:05SPEAKER_01: I meandered back up there and fell asleep for a couple hours before going back to work.
- 14:09SPEAKER_01: Good.
- 14:09SPEAKER_01: So I survived.
- 14:10SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 14:10SPEAKER_01: I mean, like you said, it could it could have been so much worse.
- 14:13SPEAKER_01: So much worse.
- 14:14SPEAKER_01: I know.
- 14:14SPEAKER_01: It was nothing.
- 14:14SPEAKER_01: We got through it, it was fine.
- 14:16SPEAKER_01: We just bitch about being hot all the time.
- 14:18SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah.
- 14:18SPEAKER_01: Can't stand to be hot.
- 14:19SPEAKER_00: I know, but you know, after a trip, all you want to do is just come home and sleep in your bed.
- 14:24SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah.
- 14:25SPEAKER_00: And my bed is upstairs where there was no air.
- 14:28SPEAKER_00: Didn't dare run that dryer in the heat.
- 14:30SPEAKER_01: I wasn't gonna.
- 14:31SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 14:31SPEAKER_00: That's the other thing I want to do upstairs.
- 14:33SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's the other thing I want to do.
- 14:34SPEAKER_00: You know, as soon as you get home and pack all your dirty clothes, you just want to sort everything and throw them all in there, and I was like, I can't.
- 14:41SPEAKER_00: I couldn't.
- 14:41SPEAKER_00: I just couldn't at the time.
- 14:42SPEAKER_00: Go back to work tomorrow for a few days in my few days.
- 14:46SPEAKER_00: That'll be great.
- 14:47SPEAKER_00: So I know.
- 14:48SPEAKER_00: And then a few weeks, Scotty comes.
- 14:50SPEAKER_00: And then it's gonna be friggin' September.
- 14:52SPEAKER_00: That just blows my mind.
- 14:53SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 14:53SPEAKER_00: And September's gonna fly by, and then it's Jeff's birthday, and Jeff's parents are coming in, and and then it's gonna be holidays.
- 15:00SPEAKER_00: And then you get to leave me, but that'll be another show.
- 15:03SPEAKER_00: It will anyway.
- 15:04SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 15:04SPEAKER_00: That'll be a great fun show.
- 15:06SPEAKER_00: Well, thank you for telling us about your little trip.
- 15:08SPEAKER_00: I mean, you're welcome.
- 15:09SPEAKER_00: I knew I'd want to come and share all the fun next.
- 15:12SPEAKER_01: I know.
- 15:12SPEAKER_01: I think the funny part was the first place you go is a restaurant with no air and no alcohol.
- 15:17SPEAKER_01: I know.
- 15:17SPEAKER_01: I'm sorry.
- 15:18SPEAKER_01: I'm sorry.
- 15:18SPEAKER_00: And I was driving that day, so I didn't even have a sippy cup with me.
- 15:22SPEAKER_00: This is how pitiful it was.
- 15:23SPEAKER_00: It was pitiful.
- 15:24SPEAKER_00: I was driving.
- 15:25SPEAKER_00: Oh my goodness.
- 15:27SPEAKER_01: Well, are we gonna wrap it up?
- 15:29SPEAKER_01: Yeah, let's wrap it up.
- 15:30SPEAKER_01: All right.
- 15:30SPEAKER_01: Well, um, on Saturday, I'm gonna do a special episode.
- 15:33SPEAKER_01: I lost a friend recently, and I just kind of want to dedicate an episode to her.
- 15:36SPEAKER_01: And then, of course, we had a lot of fun, so it's gonna be the good things that I'm gonna stick to, but that's coming up, and other than that, survive August, survive the heat.
- 15:43SPEAKER_01: One day at a time.
- 15:44SPEAKER_01: I know.
- 15:45SPEAKER_00: Fall's almost here.
- 15:46SPEAKER_00: It is.
- 15:47SPEAKER_00: We will have a first day of fall celebration.
- 15:49SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 15:50SPEAKER_01: Oh, we're coming up our in our one year.
- 15:54SPEAKER_01: Yes, we're gonna have to celebrate.
- 15:56SPEAKER_01: We are cut this thing has been going almost an entire year.
- 15:59SPEAKER_00: That's crazy.
- 16:00SPEAKER_00: And uh hopefully we'll give you some statistics, some numbers, some some of the fun stuff that I haven't even looked.
- 16:06SPEAKER_00: I don't even know.
- 16:07SPEAKER_00: I know, I don't even know how many cities we're in at the moment.
- 16:10SPEAKER_00: I'm excited to find out.
- 16:11SPEAKER_01: So that's the number I keep watching for some reason, is the amount of cities, and I don't know why.
- 16:15SPEAKER_01: The cities and the countries, we're in a lot of different Yeah.
- 16:18SPEAKER_00: I think I'm just curious how far it goes.
- 16:20SPEAKER_00: How far we actually I know, I love it.
- 16:22SPEAKER_00: As much as I've been traveling lately with our sticker on my window, we should be hooping them up around.
- 16:27SPEAKER_00: At least around here.
- 16:28SPEAKER_01: I don't know if you've listened to my last episode because uh of um the horror movies, because I know you don't hang on every word like you said you would.
- 16:34SPEAKER_01: Uh-huh.
- 16:35SPEAKER_01: But in the last one, I actually put a shout-out.
- 16:37SPEAKER_01: I have somebody listening to me in Mankato, Minnesota.
- 16:40SPEAKER_01: Oh.
- 16:41SPEAKER_01: And I want to know who that is.
- 16:42SPEAKER_01: And I put a shout-out because there's quite a few episodes that were downloaded from that person.
- 16:46SPEAKER_01: And that's one of those cities that you hear about Little House on the Prairie.
- 16:49SPEAKER_01: They're always going to Mankato.
- 16:51SPEAKER_01: Oh.
- 16:51SPEAKER_01: I know.
- 16:52SPEAKER_01: Let's go meet them.
- 16:53SPEAKER_01: I know.
- 16:53SPEAKER_01: I know.
- 16:54SPEAKER_01: How many road trip?
- 16:55SPEAKER_01: Oh, I know.
- 16:55SPEAKER_01: I know.
- 16:56SPEAKER_01: I want to start doing shout-outs and things.
- 16:57SPEAKER_01: If people let us know, you know, let us know who you are.
- 17:00SPEAKER_01: But you can find us at bsstudios at myyahoo.com.
- 17:03SPEAKER_01: Write in.
- 17:04SPEAKER_01: We will talk about whatever you want us to talk about because we will talk about anything.
