- 0:00Speaker 1: The Mark Simone show on wor.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Well. Bill O'Reilly the number one TV anchor for decades,
- 0:09Speaker 2: the number one best selling non fiction author on Earth.
- 0:13Speaker 2: He's got, of course the TV show. Everything's at billoreilly
- 0:16Speaker 2: dot com all his great books, and there's also his
- 0:19Speaker 2: YouTube channel, great stuff there, Bill O'Reilly at YouTube. And
- 0:23Speaker 2: now the podcast called Will Do It Live. The first
- 0:27Speaker 2: few episodes excellent. The latest episode is Bill O'Reilly and
- 0:31Speaker 2: Howie Mandel. You got to watch his new podcast, We'll
- 0:34Speaker 2: Do It Live, and he's with us right now. Bill O'Reilly,
- 0:38Speaker 2: how you.
- 0:38Speaker 1: Doing'm sorting through a lot of stuff. How about you?
- 0:43Speaker 2: I'm good. Explain your work ethic. A lot of people
- 0:46Speaker 2: could learn from this. You got a million things all
- 0:49Speaker 2: that You're like Trump, you keep adding more and more
- 0:51Speaker 2: to that workload.
- 0:53Speaker 1: Say yeah, I had a big discussion in my staff
- 0:56Speaker 1: today and I just said, I just can't do any
- 0:58Speaker 1: more work. I'm at the limit of my capacity. I
- 1:03Speaker 1: can't do anymore. You know, it's hard to get people
- 1:08Speaker 1: with my experience to work in the media these days
- 1:17Speaker 1: because number one, we pay well, but most don't. Most
- 1:22Speaker 1: operations done. Number Two, the structure is that the Democratic
- 1:29Speaker 1: Party now goes exclusively to CNN and MS, and the
- 1:35Speaker 1: Republican Party goes exclusively to Fox News, and so independent
- 1:43Speaker 1: contractors like me, we have to work very hard to
- 1:49Speaker 1: get good guests on the program because it's an easy
- 1:53Speaker 1: play for them to go over to the others and
- 1:56Speaker 1: not going to be challenged there. A lot of times though,
- 2:00Speaker 1: tell them the questions in advance, which is of course
- 2:03Speaker 1: against every journalistic ethic, but that doesn't matter anymore, and
- 2:09Speaker 1: so they go, well, why do I want to do, O'Reilly?
- 2:11Speaker 1: You might give me a hard time when I can
- 2:14Speaker 1: walk into any Fox show and I'll scape, And that's
- 2:19Speaker 1: what's going on. So it's made things a lot more
- 2:24Speaker 1: difficult in that area. We are the top of the
- 2:28Speaker 1: chart independently because we have so many viewers. But still
- 2:32Speaker 1: there are a lot of people, like the Catholic Church
- 2:36Speaker 1: that don't want to go up against me. They would
- 2:40Speaker 1: much rather go on the sympathetic channels.
- 2:44Speaker 2: No, now, Bill, O'Reilly, They say, you can't fight with
- 2:47Speaker 2: a pope. Why you got it's just suicide? Yeah, but
- 2:50Speaker 2: didn't Donald Trump do this with the last pope a
- 2:52Speaker 2: few years ago and everything was fine a couple of
- 2:54Speaker 2: weeks later.
- 2:57Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, there can be a ton I could.
- 2:59Speaker 1: I could meet between Popo Leo and President Trump. I
- 3:04Speaker 1: could do it because you have to understand where both
- 3:07Speaker 1: are coming from. And it's not necessarily that they're clashing.
- 3:13Speaker 1: They just have a different view of life and they
- 3:15Speaker 1: have different mandates. And once that's explained to people, then
- 3:21Speaker 1: you take a lot of the political stuff out of it.
- 3:25Speaker 1: For example, I mean, if you know your Bible, when
- 3:31Speaker 1: Jesus was being convicted and crucified, he was taunted, well,
- 3:37Speaker 1: if you're the king of the Jews, bring down your
- 3:40Speaker 1: army and stop all this. And he just looked at them,
- 3:44Speaker 1: you know, at his tormentor seems they work. And you know,
- 3:50Speaker 1: the philosophy of the Catholic Church is passivism. They're passive,
- 3:57Speaker 1: it's peace and negotiation whatever. Trump is a confrontational guy
- 4:06Speaker 1: because he's in charge of solving problems. The Catholic Church
- 4:10Speaker 1: does not solve problems. It doesn't. It's not in business
- 4:16Speaker 1: to do that. It gives you guidance on how to
- 4:19Speaker 1: live on a personal level. But an acting president, or
- 4:25Speaker 1: you would think a leader of any country, their job
- 4:30Speaker 1: is to solve the problems on Once you get that out,
- 4:34Speaker 1: you could work together as some extent, but that's not happening.
- 4:39Speaker 2: Yeah, but this is a pope that's a little more
- 4:43Speaker 2: political than he probably should be. He's a little too
- 4:46Speaker 2: far to the left. And how does anybody defend the
- 4:50Speaker 2: Iranian regime, this terrorist regime.
- 4:53Speaker 1: He's not really defending the regime, but he doesn't have
- 4:57Speaker 1: a realistic point of view on how to to deal
- 5:00Speaker 1: with the regime. I think that's a fair statement. We're
- 5:04Speaker 1: talking about Leo now. So when thirty thousand people were
- 5:09Speaker 1: killed in Iran by the government, you didn't hear a
- 5:14Speaker 1: word from the Vatican, right, Yeah, I didn't know, and
- 5:20Speaker 1: I'm a Catholic. I ain't hear a word. So what
- 5:27Speaker 1: is you know? Come on, if you're going to say,
- 5:33Speaker 1: as the leader of the Catholic Church, that give piece
- 5:37Speaker 1: of chance and you've got thirty thousand bodies on the floor,
- 5:43Speaker 1: you've got to discuss that. And that's where this whole
- 5:48Speaker 1: thing falls apart. But I think it could be put
- 5:50Speaker 1: back together again if the parties would, you know, stop
- 5:55Speaker 1: all the one upsmanship, because it doesn't do Trump any
- 5:59Speaker 1: good to criticize the pope at all none. He gets
- 6:02Speaker 1: nothing out of that, and all the pagan media, people
- 6:06Speaker 1: who haven't seen a choice since they were baptized. Okay,
- 6:10Speaker 1: they're running around screaming, Oh god, he doing this, not
- 6:13Speaker 1: going to go as the pope. He couldn't get us
- 6:15Speaker 1: about the pope. You mark the pope. Okay, So, I
- 6:22Speaker 1: mean there's so much hypocrisy in this.
- 6:25Speaker 2: Yeah, but listen, you're uh you wrote the book on Trump.
- 6:28Speaker 2: You shouldn't put the Jesus picture up, you shouldn't attack
- 6:31Speaker 2: the pope. But he always does this stuff. He loves
- 6:34Speaker 2: to rile up his enemies.
- 6:37Speaker 1: But this one is working against him now. So he's
- 6:40Speaker 1: losing popular opinion throughout the world. And that's pretty amazing
- 6:44Speaker 1: when Iran is topping you and poply popular opinion. See,
- 6:50Speaker 1: you got to go to plan B, and Plan B
- 6:53Speaker 1: could have to be an explanation of why we're doing
- 6:56Speaker 1: what we're doing. And you know, we respect people who
- 7:01Speaker 1: disagree with us, but we have an obligation to protect
- 7:06Speaker 1: people from a theocracy that is very close to getting
- 7:10Speaker 1: a nuclear weapon. I mean, it's got to be done
- 7:13Speaker 1: that in that kind of a manner. He can't be done.
- 7:17Speaker 1: You know, four in the morning, pictures of Jesus go
- 7:20Speaker 1: out with Trump's face on it. Good does that do him?
- 7:24Speaker 1: It doesn't do him any good, he seems to I
- 7:28Speaker 1: don't know. I mean, I'm not in there. I'm not
- 7:32Speaker 1: telling him more suggesting anything to the person. I'm going
- 7:35Speaker 1: to see him next week. I might ask him about it,
- 7:38Speaker 1: but we'll see.
- 7:40Speaker 2: Hey, let me ask you something. Hillary Clinton's on Morning Shoe,
- 7:44Speaker 2: She's on this, She's on CBS all over television yesterday.
- 7:48Speaker 2: Is this woman thinking she's going to be a viable
- 7:50Speaker 2: candidate in twenty twenty eight? Is she's looking to make
- 7:52Speaker 2: a call?
- 7:53Speaker 1: I think that's absolutely an acute observation you're making for
- 8:00Speaker 1: her to run out and do all this. She sees
- 8:04Speaker 1: the weakness of the field. There's nobody there, so I
- 8:07Speaker 1: don't know how old she is, but she still has
- 8:12Speaker 1: energy and she's still a big name. So stranger things
- 8:17Speaker 1: have happened.
- 8:18Speaker 2: Yeah, but every time she's run for president ends in disaster.
- 8:21Speaker 2: First time a rookie beater Barack Obama, second time a
- 8:23Speaker 2: total amateur Donald Trump beater. Doesn't she realize that maybe
- 8:27Speaker 2: she wasn't cut out to be president?
- 8:29Speaker 1: No, she doesn't realize that. She realizes that she's more
- 8:33Speaker 1: credible than Kamila Harris, and there's nobody else knew them,
- 8:37Speaker 1: and these people she thinks she can handle them pretty easily.
- 8:41Speaker 1: So that's how she's seeing it, that there might be
- 8:45Speaker 1: another opportunity for her.
- 8:47Speaker 2: Yeah, Hey, yeah, Bill a right. You've read the New
- 8:49Speaker 2: York Times, even the Wall Street Journal, Gerard Baker, the right.
- 8:51Speaker 2: These things ran as a total failure where a total
- 8:54Speaker 2: disaster was. How do they say that things are going
- 8:56Speaker 2: pretty well and Iran not the talks, but we've done
- 9:00Speaker 2: a lot of damage to them.
- 9:02Speaker 1: Yeah, and that's because they feel that Trump is more
- 9:07Speaker 1: of a danger to the world than I're wrong. They do,
- 9:11Speaker 1: They absolutely do, and that's why that's happening. So they're
- 9:17Speaker 1: going to spend negative everything that happens and try to
- 9:21Speaker 1: even if Trump does prevail any end and get some
- 9:25Speaker 1: kind of treaty that works out, then they'll they'll still
- 9:30Speaker 1: pound him and say this is bad or this is bad.
- 9:33Speaker 1: They're never going to say Donald Trump did anything well.
- 9:38Speaker 2: Ever, Hey, I've looked at these talks with Iran and
- 9:42Speaker 2: that it's leaking out now that we were asking no
- 9:45Speaker 2: nuclear material of any kind for twenty years. That's kicking
- 9:49Speaker 2: the can. It's further down the road. But it's still
- 9:51Speaker 2: kicking the can down the road. And I'm a little
- 9:53Speaker 2: surprised that Trump would agree to any time limit.
- 9:58Speaker 1: Well, you're gonna look at whose rends and from Carter
- 10:01Speaker 1: on because Carter got so hammered by the Iranians. That's
- 10:06Speaker 1: why I lost to Reagan. Nobody wanted to do with them,
- 10:13Speaker 1: and so Trump's the first one who's dealt with them
- 10:17Speaker 1: since nineteen eighty. It's a long, long period of time.
- 10:21Speaker 1: And I said at the very beginning, this is the
- 10:25Speaker 1: biggest gamble Donald Trump has ever taken in this entire life.
- 10:30Speaker 1: Because it might not work out. Now, I think it will.
- 10:34Speaker 1: I think horror Mouze is going to be a very
- 10:39Speaker 1: successful campaign by the United States. But if it doesn't,
- 10:45Speaker 1: Trump's going to get pounded in November.
- 10:48Speaker 2: Well we'll see. Hey, everybody, check out Bill O'Reilly's YouTube channel.
