- Lucas: Welcome back to Learn Norwegian with Fexingo. I am Lucas. Luna: And I am Luna. It is so good to be here again. Lucas: Today we are going to look at two words we learned recently. Luna: Yes. The words for light and dark. Lucas: Exactly. Let us start with the first phrase. Luna: I remember this one. It describes the weather outside. Lucas: Right. When it is bright outside, we say det er lyst ute. Luna: Det er lyst ute. Lucas: Very good. That means it is light outside. Luna: It feels nice when the sun is up. Lucas: It does. Now let us try the opposite. Luna: When the sun goes down? Lucas: Yes. We say det er mørkt ute. Luna: Det er mørkt ute. Lucas: Perfect. That means it is dark outside. Luna: I like saying that one. It sounds calm. Lucas: It is a cozy sound. Let us mix them together. Luna: Okay. Det er lyst ute. Det er mørkt ute. Lucas: Excellent repetition. This helps the rhythm stay strong. Luna: I feel more confident now. Lucas: Let us add some feeling to these words. Luna: How do we do that? Lucas: We can use short descriptions. Like lyst og godt. Luna: Lyst og godt. Lucas: That means light and good. Luna: It sounds very positive. Lucas: Now for the dark version. Mørkt og stille. Luna: Mørkt og stille. Lucas: Dark and quiet. A peaceful night. Luna: I love that contrast. Light and good. Dark and quiet. Lucas: Yes. It shows how these words change the mood. Luna: Can we use them inside a room too? Lucas: Absolutely. You can say lys i rommet. Luna: Lys i rommet. Lucas: Light in the room. Very clear. Luna: And the other way? Lucas: Mørke i hjertet. Luna: Mørke i hjertet. Lucas: Darkness in the heart. That is a deep expression. Luna: It is poetic. I did not expect that part. Lucas: Norwegian has many layers. We just scratched the surface. Luna: But it is enough for today. I will practice them.
