- 0:04Speaker 1: All right, Jared Sandler is here covering the Rangers, of course,
- 0:07Speaker 1: but we're talking World Series ball. Jared, Great to see you,
- 0:10Speaker 1: and I'll set this up. So this, I think, is
- 0:13Speaker 1: what our show is all about. Texting with a friend
- 0:16Speaker 1: about some ideas about the game, and then it's like, hey,
- 0:18Speaker 1: you want to hop on for ten minutes and go
- 0:20Speaker 1: over it? So how you doing? And then within that,
- 0:23Speaker 1: just lay out what we were texting about to everyone
- 0:27Speaker 1: and we'll kick around the ideas for fun.
- 0:30Speaker 2: Yeah, what's up? Fellow's great seeing you guys.
- 0:33Speaker 3: So I just had someboddies email thread talking about the
- 0:37Speaker 3: game last night, and one of the guys like, hey,
- 0:39Speaker 3: we got to get rid of the intentional walk in baseball.
- 0:42Speaker 3: And I want to make something clear. It's given me
- 0:45Speaker 3: something to think about. And it's not just last night.
- 0:47Speaker 3: I've had conversations about the intentional walk before.
- 0:50Speaker 2: I don't know where I stand.
- 0:52Speaker 3: I'm gonna admit that I'm kind of riding the fence
- 0:55Speaker 3: on the pros and cons. But he offered up three alternatives,
- 0:59Speaker 3: one of which I really like. The one I like
- 1:01Speaker 3: is that a team can only intentionally walk about her
- 1:04Speaker 3: once per game. After that, you've got to execute four
- 1:07Speaker 3: pitches in the dirt or four pitches where you're working
- 1:10Speaker 3: around the hitter, but you can only you know, hey,
- 1:13Speaker 3: throw up the four fingers. That guy goes to first
- 1:15Speaker 3: once per game. The other options one was an intentional
- 1:20Speaker 3: walk advances every batter or every base runner one base.
- 1:24Speaker 3: So if you have a runner at second and nobody out,
- 1:26Speaker 3: or runner at second nobody else on, you intentionally walk
- 1:29Speaker 3: the hitter, it becomes first and third as opposed to
- 1:32Speaker 3: first and second. Obviously, if you're intentionally walking someone with
- 1:35Speaker 3: a runner at third, then that guy scores.
- 1:37Speaker 2: I don't know if I love that one. Another one
- 1:39Speaker 2: was all four pitch walks or intentional walks or two bases.
- 1:45Speaker 3: I don't know that I love that either, because what
- 1:47Speaker 3: if there's a guy that just he's lost control for
- 1:49Speaker 3: a second.
- 1:50Speaker 2: I don't I don't know that.
- 1:50Speaker 3: I certainly think that's the way to go, and maybe
- 1:55Speaker 3: they're the answer is that there doesn't need to be
- 1:57Speaker 3: a change. I'm not sitting here saying that, you know,
- 2:00Speaker 3: we need to overreact because of one game, But the
- 2:02Speaker 3: impetus behind all this is and a part of what
- 2:07Speaker 3: makes every sport unique is what makes you know people
- 2:10Speaker 3: love those sports. But you know, in the NBA close game,
- 2:13Speaker 3: fourth quarter, you want to get Steph Curry the ball.
- 2:16Speaker 2: You get Steph Curry.
- 2:16Speaker 3: The ball team might double team him, that they might
- 2:19Speaker 3: try and force the ball out of his hands, but
- 2:21Speaker 3: you still, you know he's in a position to try
- 2:23Speaker 3: and do something and you can counter that. In the NFL,
- 2:27Speaker 3: if the Chiefs have the ball with a minute thirty
- 2:29Speaker 3: five left, you know, the Bills can't say, hey, we're
- 2:31Speaker 3: going to force We're going to use the press this butt.
- 2:34Speaker 3: Patrick Mames has to be on the sideline. In the NHL,
- 2:37Speaker 3: you want your best line out on the ice in
- 2:39Speaker 3: the biggest moment.
- 2:40Speaker 2: You can do that. In our sport. A part of
- 2:42Speaker 2: the beauty is that you rely on one through nine.
- 2:44Speaker 2: Like I love that.
- 2:45Speaker 3: I don't think that's a bug. I think that's a feature.
- 2:47Speaker 3: But I do wonder, you know, does it does it
- 2:51Speaker 3: make sense to at least force the athletes on the
- 2:54Speaker 3: mound to get the athlete in the box out in
- 2:58Speaker 3: these big moments, you know, and being Shoho tani as
- 3:02Speaker 3: opposed to just taking the bat out of his hands
- 3:04Speaker 3: completely strategically, it makes all the sense in the world.
- 3:07Speaker 3: I just I don't know, I'm curious your thoughts. I
- 3:09Speaker 3: don't know where I stand on this. I don't know
- 3:11Speaker 3: that there needs to be a change, but it was
- 3:13Speaker 3: something that we had discussed over email after the game
- 3:15Speaker 3: last night.
- 3:16Speaker 2: I thought it was an interesting discussion.
- 3:19Speaker 4: They used to do this, Jared.
- 3:21Speaker 5: They used to stand up, a right handed batter used
- 3:23Speaker 5: to stand up and you put your hand out and
- 3:25Speaker 5: they'd throw it out there and everybody would boo and
- 3:28Speaker 5: it was a waste of time. Or we could go
- 3:31Speaker 5: to this your email thread where all your buddies are like, yeah,
- 3:34Speaker 5: you know, they should just get rid of the intentional walk. Okay,
- 3:39Speaker 5: then and then we'll all write letters into the league
- 3:41Speaker 5: and say how we want to watch the game and
- 3:43Speaker 5: what we want to see happen. You can do all
- 3:46Speaker 5: those things. You can double team somebody in the NBA
- 3:50Speaker 5: and you can make sure they don't get the ball.
- 3:52Speaker 5: You can go absolute blitz coverage on Patrick Mahomes and
- 3:58Speaker 5: you can make it just living hell for him and
- 4:01Speaker 5: not cover anybody else if you think he's But it's
- 4:04Speaker 5: a team sport, like getting rid of the intentional walk.
- 4:07Speaker 5: You know how you stop teams from intentionally walking guys?
- 4:09Speaker 5: Five times? Mookie Bets gets a hit and ends the game.
- 4:13Speaker 5: Oh wait, I guess we can't do that. Like it's
- 4:16Speaker 5: a team game and if we always are like, oh man,
- 4:19Speaker 5: I really love to see Shohil Tani hit man. That
- 4:22Speaker 5: would be great. Yeah, okay, that's fine. Tell Mokie Bets
- 4:25Speaker 5: to do better, or tell your pit like I don't
- 4:28Speaker 5: want to see I don't want to see them. You know,
- 4:29Speaker 5: stand up here, okay, you know over here. The one
- 4:32Speaker 5: moment is when some dude has the yips and he
- 4:35Speaker 5: throws he yard darts one or he lobs one, and
- 4:38Speaker 5: Miguel Cabrera hits a base hit. So when I read this,
- 4:42Speaker 5: I was kind of like, no, we were already there.
- 4:46Speaker 2: We don't need to go back.
- 4:48Speaker 3: If I would have bet on the three of you
- 4:51Speaker 3: guys who is going to have the strongest opinion against this,
- 4:54Speaker 3: I would have put all my chips in that it'll
- 4:56Speaker 3: be cratzy.
- 4:57Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 4:58Speaker 3: AJ's a wild card, but I I figured I was
- 5:01Speaker 3: going to get that sort of response to America. I
- 5:02Speaker 3: just want to make it clear again, I don't know
- 5:04Speaker 3: how I feel about this. I think it's interesting. I
- 5:08Speaker 3: also think about things like that, the long term health
- 5:11Speaker 3: of the game. And I'm not saying the intentional walk
- 5:13Speaker 3: is shaping this one way or the other, but like
- 5:16Speaker 3: there's the baseball side of it, but then also like
- 5:19Speaker 3: just the entertainment fan side of it, and I try
- 5:23Speaker 3: and balance those two. And that's why I think this
- 5:26Speaker 3: maybe has meyrit not so much for the baseball side
- 5:28Speaker 3: of it, because this is a strategy. It's strategy just
- 5:30Speaker 3: like anything else, just like hack a shack with strategy.
- 5:34Speaker 2: In the NBA.
- 5:35Speaker 3: But then I think about, like the people who are
- 5:39Speaker 3: watching this game trying to decide do I like, how
- 5:41Speaker 3: much do I want to invest in being a fan
- 5:43Speaker 3: in the sport? And you know, they go and they
- 5:45Speaker 3: hear about the show Heyo Tani guy, and they certainly
- 5:48Speaker 3: got to show the first you know, nine innings of
- 5:50Speaker 3: the game when he had the four extra base hits
- 5:52Speaker 3: and the game time home run in the seventh and whatnot.
- 5:55Speaker 3: But yeah, I'm not necessarily saying I want to get
- 5:58Speaker 3: rid of the intentional walk, but I do. It's interesting
- 6:02Speaker 3: just hearing the other possibilities that could be out there.
- 6:04Speaker 3: And like I said, the one that if you told
- 6:06Speaker 3: me you have to make a change, we're getting rid
- 6:09Speaker 3: of the intentional walk. The one that I would say
- 6:12Speaker 3: I would vote for is you can you can choot,
- 6:14Speaker 3: or I say, get rid of the intentional walk. Get
- 6:16Speaker 3: rid of the intentional walk as it is currently allowed,
- 6:19Speaker 3: which is you can do it as much as you want.
- 6:21Speaker 3: I would say you can do it once again if
- 6:23Speaker 3: you told me you had to make a change to
- 6:25Speaker 3: the current structure.
- 6:28Speaker 1: The old card experience was a slow burned, long grind. Right,
- 6:36Speaker 1: find the box, find the pack you want, open the pack.
- 6:40Speaker 1: Most of the cards. Nah, Right, you got one that's
- 6:44Speaker 1: worth something, Now send.
- 6:46Speaker 6: It in for grading.
- 6:47Speaker 1: I mean, the list goes on and you want to
- 6:49Speaker 1: sell it. Now, you got to put it up. Then
- 6:50Speaker 1: you got to ship it out. There's one solution for that, and.
- 6:53Speaker 7: It's called Arena Club and it's just on a click
- 6:56Speaker 7: of a dime. You get on your computer. You type
- 6:58Speaker 7: in get the Arena Club app. Go on there, type in,
- 7:02Speaker 7: put some money in, and type in exactly what kind
- 7:05Speaker 7: of cards you want and while lah, It's a great experience,
- 7:07Speaker 7: and I think that's what people miss nowadays, the experience,
- 7:10Speaker 7: the excitement of getting a new card. You never know
- 7:13Speaker 7: what you're gonna get, an autographed card, anything you could
- 7:15Speaker 7: think of really cool stuff.
- 7:17Speaker 1: You can get twenty percent off your first slab pack
- 7:19Speaker 1: or card purchase at arenaclub dot com slash foul. See
- 7:23Speaker 1: what gets Todd father so excited when he gets that
- 7:25Speaker 1: digital slab pack.
- 7:27Speaker 6: It's like butter babyter.
- 7:31Speaker 5: Sorry, Jared, because that's how much I think your idea sucks.
- 7:34Speaker 5: But sorry, I appreciate it. This is all this is. Listen,
- 7:39Speaker 5: they already did it. I've seen pitchers throw intentional walk
- 7:42Speaker 5: pitches away, so what they did was the right thing.
- 7:45Speaker 5: It speeds up the game. And I'm all for speeding
- 7:46Speaker 5: up the game with the pitch clock and all that.
- 7:48Speaker 5: But here's the key, and I think and Crats nailed it.
- 7:50Speaker 5: Mookie Bats get some hits. You want to know how
- 7:52Speaker 5: they stopped doing this if Mookie Bats comes up and
- 7:54Speaker 5: gets it.
- 7:55Speaker 4: I hit behind Barry Bonds a year.
- 7:57Speaker 5: He walked two hundred and I don't know seventy times,
- 8:00Speaker 5: and like one hundred and eighty nine of them were
- 8:02Speaker 5: intentional because I wasn't a guy that could hit seventy
- 8:06Speaker 5: homers like Barry Bonds could. So they were like, oh,
- 8:09Speaker 5: this guy hit into a double play and whatever. Like fine,
- 8:12Speaker 5: And I had a decent year but I'm not Mookie Betts,
- 8:14Speaker 5: and they still are doing this to get to an
- 8:16Speaker 5: MVP and Mookie.
- 8:16Speaker 4: Betts and Hall of Famer.
- 8:18Speaker 5: Okay, so Mookie Betts does to get it, get his hits,
- 8:21Speaker 5: but this is the strategy when they will.
- 8:23Speaker 4: You have to walk, guys, and you have to pick
- 8:24Speaker 4: and choose your battles.
- 8:26Speaker 5: Baseball is it individual is a team game made up
- 8:29Speaker 5: of individual performances. Okay, and that's the key. You need
- 8:33Speaker 5: one through nine. You needed some guy every night. It's
- 8:35Speaker 5: got to be someone else that steps up. When the
- 8:38Speaker 5: Texas Rangers won the World Series, it wasn't always Corey
- 8:41Speaker 5: seeger A. Doley Scarcia had big hits. Jonah him had
- 8:44Speaker 5: big hits, everybody had. All these different guys had big
- 8:47Speaker 5: hits at different times. Right, So I think this is
- 8:50Speaker 5: a dumb idea. I appreciate that you guys put a
- 8:52Speaker 5: lot of thought to it. You and your friends put
- 8:54Speaker 5: a lot of thought into it. But you know what,
- 8:56Speaker 5: you guys wasted your time and you're a Spurs fan,
- 8:58Speaker 5: so it hurts me to say that. But man, y'all,
- 9:00Speaker 5: y'all put a way too much time to something is
- 9:02Speaker 5: not gonna happen.
- 9:04Speaker 3: Just to be clear, not a San Antonio Spurs fan
- 9:07Speaker 3: the top because I hate the Spurs.
- 9:09Speaker 2: I'm a mass him. Uh no, I listen. I I
- 9:13Speaker 2: don't know if they're listening.
- 9:14Speaker 3: We'll definitely be sure to send them the link and
- 9:16Speaker 3: uh you know, we'll put that in the email threat.
- 9:18Speaker 2: I I just thought it was an interesting discussion.
- 9:20Speaker 3: But uh, hey, I I never claimed to be smart.
- 9:24Speaker 3: I I I I know my place in this game.
- 9:28Speaker 5: Jared, I hope you're not offended by us saying it's
- 9:31Speaker 5: not at all. You're not saying at all you're dumb.
- 9:35Speaker 5: We're saying your idea was dumb. Okay, your friends they
- 9:39Speaker 5: might be if they didn't come on the show.
- 9:42Speaker 6: Wait, bring me on, bring me on here. I want
- 9:44Speaker 6: to jump in.
- 9:45Speaker 2: Okay, you know, defense attorney Scott.
- 9:52Speaker 5: Scott's gonna come on and say Rob for I'm Rob Manford,
- 9:55Speaker 5: and I think that's a great idea because da whatever,
- 9:58Speaker 5: go ahead, wrong, we alreadychang here's the role thirteen years ago.
- 10:01Speaker 5: Now we're going to change it back because we just
- 10:03Speaker 5: want to make everybody get a participation award.
- 10:06Speaker 2: Go ahead, Scott, Jared.
- 10:08Speaker 1: And I have covered the game for a long time
- 10:10Speaker 1: and we work with players and talk to players right,
- 10:13Speaker 1: and players are not always.
- 10:14Speaker 6: Right about what fans want to see.
- 10:17Speaker 1: Many players I spoke to were against any rule change
- 10:20Speaker 1: of any kind, timeouts, pitch clock shifts.
- 10:25Speaker 2: You name it.
- 10:26Speaker 1: And there have been a lot of changes that have
- 10:28Speaker 1: brought a lot of positivity to the sport.
- 10:30Speaker 6: So I just think it's worth having discussions. People lost their.
- 10:35Speaker 5: Minds on Scott's on the email thread Scott email thread.
- 10:45Speaker 3: Scott was one that sent the email exactly just kidding,
- 10:50Speaker 3: I'm just kidding.
- 10:52Speaker 2: Question.
- 10:53Speaker 1: Here's so many players that want to pitchcock and they
- 10:55Speaker 1: were flat out wrong.
- 10:57Speaker 4: I love the pitch clock as an announcer is Jared,
- 11:00Speaker 4: I know he does. But here's the thing. How many
- 11:03Speaker 4: of you? Hi? Hi, mom? Who's that? Hi? Honey?
- 11:05Speaker 3: It's my it's my my wife and I are living
- 11:07Speaker 3: with my wife's nana right now.
- 11:09Speaker 2: So that's Nana who just walked by.
- 11:11Speaker 4: Hey, Rana, what's up? Here's my question?
- 11:15Speaker 2: Nana? Do you like the intentional walk? She said? What's
- 11:19Speaker 2: the intentional lot? She's on high side?
- 11:22Speaker 4: Ay?
- 11:22Speaker 6: J sixty seconds?
- 11:23Speaker 4: No real quick though?
- 11:24Speaker 2: You okay?
- 11:24Speaker 4: Would you rather see the just him show? Hey go
- 11:26Speaker 4: to first?
- 11:27Speaker 5: Or have that at baut where the guy throws four
- 11:29Speaker 5: balls in the dirt and we waste three minutes of
- 11:31Speaker 5: our lives instead of just saying go to first, like
- 11:33Speaker 5: that was so much better when they just were like,
- 11:34Speaker 5: go to first, MOOKI trying to get it.
- 11:37Speaker 2: Well, I'd say this, there's no skill in doing this.
- 11:39Speaker 3: I think there is a skill in pitching around guys,
- 11:41Speaker 3: because you guys have seen this, find the plate, you've
- 11:43Speaker 3: had a picture on the mound, and the directive is,
- 11:46Speaker 3: you know, we're let's see if this guy can chase.
- 11:48Speaker 2: If not, we're going to pitch around him.
- 11:49Speaker 3: And then you leave a pitch that is over the
- 11:51Speaker 3: corner and that guy, that athlete in the box is
- 11:53Speaker 3: so good he's able to drive that into gap or
- 11:55Speaker 3: over the wall. So I do think there is a
- 11:57Speaker 3: skill in being able to pitch around guys. There's no
- 12:00Speaker 3: skill in turning and doing this. So I just the
- 12:03Speaker 3: reason I find this to have some merit. I know
- 12:05Speaker 3: we're on o'clock here, is that I'm all for rules
- 12:08Speaker 3: that at least put athletes in a position to be
- 12:11Speaker 3: athletes or challenge their athleticism. And I always ask myself
- 12:15Speaker 3: that question, So that that's why I think I've given
- 12:18Speaker 3: it some consideration. I have asked some players around the league, pitchers,
- 12:21Speaker 3: as you can imagine, they don't like it. I've talked
- 12:24Speaker 3: to some hitters though, They're like, yeah, I think this
- 12:26Speaker 3: is interesting.
- 12:26Speaker 2: There's obviously biases involved with their roles in the game.
- 12:30Speaker 1: Though. Stay for two minutes. We're hitting a break for
- 12:33Speaker 1: the TV crowd. We have two minutes left to keep
- 12:35Speaker 1: this going. Okay, So here's the radical thought. And I'm
- 12:53Speaker 1: not saying this is what we should do, but Jared,
- 12:55Speaker 1: what about if you're limiting the amount of times you
- 12:58Speaker 1: can walk someone in a game period?
- 13:01Speaker 2: Right?
- 13:01Speaker 6: So if you're limited not I'm saying, if.
- 13:04Speaker 5: You can't make a guy swing, you can't make a
- 13:07Speaker 5: guy swing, Scott, what are you gonna Oh no, he
- 13:10Speaker 5: gets extra balls until you throw him a strike?
- 13:12Speaker 4: Like, what are you talking about? What do you mean
- 13:15Speaker 4: the other?
- 13:17Speaker 6: Yeah? But if if you walk guys, right, punished for
- 13:20Speaker 6: walking guys. If if you want to throw strikes, throw strikes.
- 13:22Speaker 1: If you can't throw strikes to a guy, because the
- 13:24Speaker 1: problem is yeah, if you go back to saying, oh,
- 13:28Speaker 1: you actually have to throw it, you can just fake
- 13:29Speaker 1: throw right, guys know where I mean?
- 13:31Speaker 2: Guys?
- 13:31Speaker 6: Can throw outside the zone or throw it in the dirt.
- 13:34Speaker 6: But what if you're like, hey.
- 13:35Speaker 4: No, they can't, No, they can't. Some guys can't do it.
- 13:39Speaker 2: I know, but I saw Flag Guerrero.
- 13:42Speaker 4: Hit a home run.
- 13:42Speaker 5: I didn't see it, but Flaguerreo hit a home run
- 13:45Speaker 5: on intentional walk and double a off Troy Carrasco lefty.
- 13:48Speaker 4: He couldn't get him out. He tried to intentionally walk him.
- 13:50Speaker 5: Flagguerrero went right center boom at Harrisburg on intentional walk.
- 13:55Speaker 4: So some guys can't even do that.
- 13:57Speaker 5: So don't say, oh, well, guys, how hard is it
- 13:59Speaker 5: for a guy to hit a guy when you tell
- 14:00Speaker 5: them to hit a guy? It ain't that easy for
- 14:02Speaker 5: these guys because they're programmed to throw strikes. They're not
- 14:05Speaker 5: programmed to miss the strike zone.
- 14:08Speaker 4: Right.
- 14:08Speaker 1: But my point is, if you're just gonna intentionally walk
- 14:10Speaker 1: a guy, you could stand out like we used to
- 14:13Speaker 1: and just catch a ball unless you have the yips.
- 14:16Speaker 2: Well the guys, I know.
- 14:19Speaker 6: But it doesn't happen.
- 14:20Speaker 4: You should just go like this and put them on
- 14:22Speaker 4: if that's the strategy.
- 14:24Speaker 1: But the point is all the sports get to see
- 14:27Speaker 1: their stars thrive and thrive, and our sport.
- 14:29Speaker 6: Actually does the opposite, And I get it. That's fine.
- 14:31Speaker 1: I'm just throwing it out there. Other sports do thrive
- 14:34Speaker 1: by letting their superstar step up for half the night.
- 14:36Speaker 1: Last night, Otani just goes to first and he's still
- 14:39Speaker 1: a factor because he can run and you know, he
- 14:41Speaker 1: was caught stealing the one time. But it's not the
- 14:42Speaker 1: same as getting to see more Show Hey at Bats.
- 14:45Speaker 1: That's all we're just trying to brainstorm. Is there a
- 14:47Speaker 1: way to still get show Hey at Bats or Superstar
- 14:50Speaker 1: at Bats? And your answer, both of.
- 14:51Speaker 5: You guys gold nip bat, gold nip Bat, gold nipet, do.
- 14:56Speaker 2: You actually like like I don't like that role. There's
- 14:58Speaker 2: no way you actually like that rule?
- 14:59Speaker 5: Right, No, But if you wanted to get in a
- 15:03Speaker 5: little bit, because it would have been kind of come
- 15:06Speaker 5: up a couple.
- 15:06Speaker 2: Of times, you know, Yeah, I don't buy that you
- 15:09Speaker 2: like that wad.
- 15:10Speaker 5: And blat here comes flat. Oh wait, we're gonna move
- 15:12Speaker 5: flat into the spot.
- 15:13Speaker 6: I don't know, been kind, We got a guy, we
- 15:16Speaker 6: got ten seconds.
- 15:17Speaker 3: Well, never mind the show Hey rule. It's basically tonight
- 15:21Speaker 3: he's able to pitch in d H. It's a rule
- 15:23Speaker 3: made for him. I'm curious your thoughts on that can
- 15:25Speaker 3: discuss in.
- 15:25Speaker 2: A later time.
- 15:27Speaker 1: Yep, there you go, all right, Jared, good stuff, dude,
- 15:29Speaker 1: Thanks for popping on and waking our guys up.
- 15:32Speaker 6: We needed some coffee.
- 15:36Speaker 4: Boys.
- 15:40Speaker 6: We were continuing the combo.
- 15:42Speaker 1: Gied Tandler did a nice job, and he brought up
- 15:44Speaker 1: the show Heyo Tiny Rule.
- 15:46Speaker 6: Do you like the show Hao Tiny Rule? The real one?
- 15:49Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 15:50Speaker 5: Yeah, it allows them to play in DH I'm fine
- 15:53Speaker 5: with it, but he's the only guy. He's the only
- 15:56Speaker 5: guy that could do it, which I wish. I wish
- 15:58Speaker 5: there was a I wish there was a more way
- 16:00Speaker 5: to get more people to try this, but because the
- 16:02Speaker 5: way it's set up, it's it's set up basically for
- 16:04Speaker 5: one guy, and they change the rule for one guy,
- 16:07Speaker 5: and I don't know, We'll see if we can get
- 16:09Speaker 5: some other guys to do it. But I do like
- 16:11Speaker 5: the fact that we get to see him, and even
- 16:13Speaker 5: if they walk them five times, Scott, at least we
- 16:15Speaker 5: get to see him.
- 16:16Speaker 6: Guys are trolling me so hard, like I'm not the
- 16:19Speaker 6: one pushing for it. I'm just saying, like, let's.
- 16:20Speaker 5: Listen, you're on the email threat Scott you're on the
- 16:23Speaker 5: email threat.
- 16:24Speaker 4: I was a problem.
- 16:25Speaker 1: Sometimes it's like you're not even allowed to bring something
- 16:28Speaker 1: up or say something right in our sport or in
- 16:30Speaker 1: a lot of debates, right.
- 16:31Speaker 6: Like why can't we just talk through it? It's a
- 16:33Speaker 6: sports talk show.
- 16:34Speaker 1: Some people I was texting were like, hey, fifteenth inning,
- 16:37Speaker 1: ghost Runner, I'm okay with it.
- 16:39Speaker 5: Bad It's the only sport where we have one rule
- 16:42Speaker 5: for the regular season and a different rule for the postseason.
- 16:45Speaker 1: No hockey, hockey a shootouts in the regular season, and
- 16:49Speaker 1: then they don't so too true. But I'm with you.
- 16:51Speaker 1: I mean, I like the ghost Runner more than most do.
- 16:55Speaker 1: Fifteenth inning, I'm okay with it. Woh, I got last words?
- 16:59Speaker 1: See how the post game step aft is presented by
- 17:08Speaker 1: Fox one. That's where you can watch the rest of
- 17:11Speaker 1: the World Series. Doesn't matter how long it takes, the
- 17:15Speaker 1: app can handle it for you.
- 17:17Speaker 6: Foul territory.
- 17:17Speaker 1: Obviously, it's been presented by Fox one the entire postseason.
- 17:22Speaker 1: That includes Aja's eighteen inning marathon. So now we've had
- 17:25Speaker 1: two eighteen inning marathons. But you can start your free
- 17:28Speaker 1: trial today, Oh fifteen.
- 17:34Speaker 5: Scot But by the way, thank god for Fox one.
- 17:36Speaker 5: So I could watch the game last night because that's
- 17:38Speaker 5: the only thing that kept me awake. I mean, I
- 17:39Speaker 5: was like, I was, I was sitting here from the
- 17:41Speaker 5: ninth inning in this exact spot, and I was slowly
- 17:45Speaker 5: like this at about two am. You know, Fox one
- 17:47Speaker 5: kept me awake and this and now. But I was like, man, we.
- 17:51Speaker 4: Really are we really doing a postgame at three in
- 17:53Speaker 4: the morning.
- 17:54Speaker 5: And Mark of course was like yeah, forty one and
- 17:58Speaker 5: thank you Fox one for keeping me awake. How great
- 18:01Speaker 5: this Fox won seven day free trial. That game was
- 18:04Speaker 5: so long you use it all up in one day.
- 18:08Speaker 2: True, it's good.
- 18:09Speaker 6: Kratz was waiting on that one since last night. That's good.
- 18:12Speaker 2: I like that.
- 18:14Speaker 6: There he is.
- 18:15Speaker 2: Thank you
