Eighteen-year-old swimmer Oliver Dawson is turning heads—and literally—after being named Canada Day 2026 parade marshal for Grande Prairie. Already a national record holder in the 50m and 100m breaststroke, he’s within striking distance of the 200m mark and eyes the Olympics. Coached by his father, Alex, and fueled by grit and access to a great facility, Oliver’s rise proves greatness isn’t confined to big cities.
