- 0:00In a world of revivals, there are some Broadway shows that are taking chances, such as the current Broadway hit, Two Strangers Carrying a Cake Across New York.
- 0:08This musical is brimming with heart and even more laughs, which captured our attention with ease.
- 0:13However, before we dive into the story and characters of this musical, please like, follow, and subscribe to us, BSB Insider, on all social media platforms at BSB.insider.
- 0:24And as always, spoiler warning, if you haven't seen this musical, pause the video and return once you've secured a four-story cake from Brooklyn.
- 0:33But if you're still here, let's get ready for another trip to NYC.
- 0:37RJ, I just want to start off by thanking you for making Let's Go to this show, because this was a show that was not on my radar at all until you sent me a video of a clip of a
- 0:49song from when this was off Broadway.
- 0:52And you said, if this is here next time we're going to New York, we're going to see it.
- 0:56I don't know if you remember that day, because I feel like that day was very formative for this trip.
- 1:00I mean, I feel like I've sent that clip to so many people.
- 1:04um So yes, it only makes sense, of course, that I'd be like, we're going.
- 1:12I'm going to give you listeners just a little bit of some background.
- 1:16There's two shows since we started doing this, two shows that RJ has three shows.
- 1:22There's three shows that RJ has sent the music to practically like bagged and be like, we have to go see the show.
- 1:32One of them was Sluffs for obvious reasons.
- 1:36If I don't think we, do we have a podcast on Suffs yet?
- 1:38We don't.
- 1:38You're going to find out more about Sluffs when we do a podcast cause it's touring.
- 1:42And then there was another one which has not been to New York yet called In Pieces, which was his entire personality for about three months.
- 1:52And every once in a while, it's like it's death becomes her for me.
- 1:54comes back out and you're like, Hey, look at this beautiful song.
- 1:56Let's listen to the entire soundtrack.
- 1:59So much so that I had to, well, I didn't have to, I chose to buy a concert performance of it so that he could see it and basically fangirl a little bit.
- 2:09And then we have.
- 2:10two strangers carrying a cake across New York.
- 2:14That was lot of words, but I appreciate you letting me air that all out.
- 2:17So it was interesting that this is the first one besides Suffs So we really got to.
- 2:25Almost build a trip around Suffs.
- 2:27We didn't build a trip around because it was like one of the shows we were seeing, but we were going there, I think because I was begging for death becomes her and this was
- 2:34starting to become an annual trip.
- 2:36This was starting to be like a business trip for us.
- 2:38And Suffs was one of the ones you're like, and let's do this one.
- 2:40uh
- 2:42But what was it about Two Strangers that like, granted, it's literally one song that I think one song was the kind of what drew you in.
- 2:51What was it about it that really was like, this is a show that is a must see?
- 2:55mean, the song is an earworm, so it just...
- 3:02It was so descriptive.
- 3:05It was creating a world in my mind.
- 3:07ah I'm a big, when it comes to musicals, and music in general, I'm a big lyric person, and so if the lyrics...
- 3:19can tell me a story and get me interested in the story, then chances are I'm gonna go see the musical.
- 3:26And that is exactly all of the shows that you just mentioned, aside from Suffs because we didn't have an album out yet, but um just visualizing what this song, cause I think I...
- 3:44I don't even know if I came across the recording first and then found videos or vice versa, uh but it was the only song, actually, I think it was a concept album, and this was
- 3:56the only song that I could find.
- 3:58It was probably the only song that was recorded, and I was obsessed.
- 4:04And then of course the videos started coming out.
- 4:08um
- 4:11of the off-Broadway and I mean it's all ultimately downhill from there because...
- 4:18Yeah, for sure.
- 4:19It was definitely one of those songs that it just, I remember when you sent it to me, and I think that this kind of explains the energy of the story and the show as itself.
- 4:26But literally the opening song that you sent me was New York.
- 4:30And the opening line to it is, it's the capital city of the USA.
- 4:33And then there's someone responding going, it's not.
- 4:36And like, just, think that like right there captures what is essentially two strangers carrying a cake across New York and why it's so, like it's such an intoxicating show to
- 4:47watch perform.
- 4:48Yeah, I think, I mean, like you said, that line...
- 4:51You can just hear the awe and it is so applicable right when like a first-timer going to New York City.
- 5:01You do think it's kind of the capital of the US because it's talked about so much and that excitement when you go get to visit it, which I think like probably a lot of Americans
- 5:16have in some facet or tourism.
- 5:20We can all relate to that somehow so it captured that very well, which is I think why so many people were interested and yeah that like Kind of playful banter also is very
- 5:36I don't know, it feels very mild.
- 5:38a, as I say, it's also like almost like a narrative thread to the show.
- 5:41The playful banter of the two of them.
- 5:44Backtracking just a moment.
- 5:46I still, I don't know about you, but every time we still go to New York, I still get a little bit of that magic.
- 5:50Like it still feels like you're the center of the world for a moment.
- 5:54You know, you're in Times Square.
- 5:55The lights are all bright.
- 5:57You're walking through there and almost, it's like childlike wonder walking through that, walking through New York and just feeling that energy.
- 6:03And so to have a song that captures that.
- 6:05but then also have a show that captures that and does something with it, is I think is one of the most intriguing parts to Two Strangers carrying a cake across New York.
- 6:14And for the rest of the show, I might just refer to it as Two Strangers, because that's a lot to keep saying over and over and over again.
- 6:20But it does capture that energy very well.
- 6:22And I think that song really does a good way of being like, welcome to New York.
- 6:26Now let's tell a story about it.
- 6:28So speaking of story, we have what might be essentially our first two-hander, our two-person show that we've ever seen in New York.
- 6:38I can't remember if we saw one before, but it's not very often, I should say, even if we have, that you see a two-person story happening on Broadway.
- 6:49Do you think that's part of the charm of the show?
- 6:51Yeah, I think it's minimalistic in every way, starting with that.
- 6:57It's basically a romcom.
- 7:01kind of.
- 7:02Like, I would still, I would say that it's a rom-com.
- 7:06It doesn't have all of the facets of a rom-com, but...
- 7:10I don't know, I don't want to give it completely away um for those of you, cause like y'all should probably go see this and hopefully one day it will tour.
- 7:19But uh it is, yeah, also a musical that's only two people is a lot.
- 7:28I'm not even sure of another show.
- 7:30I mean, I'm sure there is one or two or more, but few and far between is a musical theater production of two.
- 7:41Yeah, no, because really it puts a lot of emphasis on these two individuals.
- 7:45Like they're almost always on stage.
- 7:49And obviously we'll talk about the music in part two, but like in the story, like you don't really get off stage for most of act one and act two, you're just continuously going
- 7:59because it's, you're relying on each other.
- 8:02And so I get what you're saying with it being a rom-com and I am going to talk about it as we go through the story.
- 8:07about how it felt less like a rom-com towards the end for very specific reasons.
- 8:11um But for all intents and purposes, you're right, this is a Meet Cute This is uh you know, Dougal, Dougal, who I think his name is Dougal.
- 8:21I said Dougal, but that's so American of me.
- 8:26But Dougal is a uh kid, well, not a kid, he's 25, from um Great Britain, from England, and he comes to New York for his father's wedding.
- 8:38And there to pick him up from the airport is Robin, who is the bride's sister.
- 8:45And they're almost forced to be together in situations.
- 8:50Well, I should say Robin's forced to be with Dougal in situations she doesn't want to be in.
- 8:57So it's almost like the grumpy, grumpy sunshine story.
- 9:00It's kind of the meet cute.
- 9:01uh Dougal is such a, like a ray of energy.
- 9:05I think that's part of why this
- 9:06this story is so intoxicating too, is because you have Robin who's not exactly grumpy and warms up rather quickly to Dougal, but Dougal is just, he is the full sun.
- 9:15He is every ray of sunshine you could possibly imagine.
- 9:18And he almost has like that childlike wonder of the world.
- 9:21And that's why I feel so young sometimes where you have Robin who is more in the real world of New York, in the streets, dealing with trauma and not that Dougal isn't dealing
- 9:32with trauma.
- 9:33But it's interesting because they have this really cool dynamic that does have the perfect setup for a rom-com.
- 9:39All that to say, I think you're right that it does have that setup.
- 9:41Yeah, he gives me golden retriever energy.
- 9:46um she just, if he's the golden retriever, she's the cat person.
- 9:56Like she couldn't give two shits that he's following her around.
- 10:01I mean, she gives two shits in the sense that she doesn't want it to be happening, but it is anyway, because he's a golden.
- 10:07um
- 10:09So yeah, very interesting dynamic happening and not in the way that you might originally think.
- 10:20Yeah, I mean, he is pure golden retriever energy.
- 10:25it's, it almost reminded me of, do you know the two hobbits in the Lord of the Rings that like are not Sam and Frodo, I cannot think of their names right now, but they're just like
- 10:35so excited.
- 10:36They're so happy.
- 10:37Even though they're like on this journey that's kind of a perilous and stuff like that.
- 10:40There's just like this huge, excitable energy to him.
- 10:44Like I don't think that anything, there's not anything in the world that could get Dougal down.
- 10:47Like he is just so excited to be in New York.
- 10:50Specifically, he's so excited to meet his father.
- 10:52And I think that we all knew from the very beginning that something was up with that because he was just a kid that was so deeply hurt by never being around his father his
- 11:01entire life.
- 11:01And he was so used to making excuses for his dad that he just wanted like a puppy.
- 11:07He just wanted to go back to his owner and to be like accepted.
- 11:11And so I think that's one of the reasons why I was so drawn into the story is that there's so many layers of trauma here.
- 11:17But what I love about it is that Dougal and Robin are ultimately healing each other by being like the kind person that both each the other person needed.
- 11:25know, sometimes you need truth, sometimes you need kindness, and they got both from each other.
- 11:29Yeah, and not in a...
- 11:31I don't know, like in a non-conventional way that's like, feels real.
- 11:37um I feel like so many shows you're like, oh, and here's what's gonna happen next.
- 11:44And here's how this is gonna go.
- 11:46But this had like some twists in the sense that like, it's just way more applicable to real life.
- 11:56not twist like, I'm completely shocked.
- 11:59Like some of them you very much are like, that makes sense.
- 12:01um But honestly, I think if more of us had the energy that he was bringing, um while that can be a lot, part of me as I was watching it, I was like, what if we lived our lives this
- 12:19way?
- 12:20Like, maybe not to the same extreme, but to be that excited about life and about the things that you care about, ah honestly, the world would be a way better place.
- 12:32So can I go ahead and put my therapist hat on for a second?
- 12:37I worry, like, yes, I understand what you're saying, but also I think we see in the show too what happens when there's almost toxic positivity because the moment he was confronted
- 12:48with reality.
- 12:50And so this is a spoiler alert people.
- 12:53If you thought we weren't talking about spoilers beforehand, I am going to talk about this.
- 12:57When he finds out that it wasn't his dad that invited him to the wedding, his whole world was shattered to the point that he got mean and he got cruel because he was hurt.
- 13:07And we can all rationalize that and we can all understand that we've all been in that position.
- 13:11But that is one of the things that we worry about about positive, toxic positivity.
- 13:15When you have to be positive all the time, when reality actually hits you, you're faced with like your world crumbling down.
- 13:23And how do you rebuild from that?
- 13:25I think is important.
- 13:27Where Dougal does rebuild, he finds himself a little bit.
- 13:31He finds some self respect and he finds what is important to him.
- 13:35But he also, it's like not having to deal with the reality of situation, even though he probably knew, there was probably a piece of him that knew and could rationalize that his
- 13:44dad didn't want him there, didn't know he was coming.
- 13:47You know what I mean?
- 13:48Yeah, yeah, and I think, again, the parallels to real life and how most of us have experienced something similar.
- 13:58um And I totally agree, toxic positivity, absolutely not, because of that crash out, essentially.
- 14:06um The balance of being real and like understanding the way that life works.
- 14:18with just the excitement of what comes next, which is what I think eventually happens towards the end of this.
- 14:28Even though it's the unknown and unexpected, there's a, again, as we talk about this trauma and we talk about really grief um in multiple ways, not only for him, but for her
- 14:42as well, um
- 14:45It's something that I think almost every single person in the audience felt to their core because we've all grappled with it.
- 14:53I will say that I definitely felt Robin's storyline.
- 14:58I felt the
- 15:00the need to feel like you feel guilty and so you need to repent.
- 15:03Feeling like you're missing out and you just want somebody to love you.
- 15:07She's dealing with the reality of what happens when you hurt somebody, even if it was unintentional.
- 15:14And I think that there's gonna be people across the board that are gonna argue about how much grief she has to feel.
- 15:18But for the story, she does feel it, and I think that's important.
- 15:22That sometimes we, even if it's not rational, we feel bad.
- 15:27And we have a lot of grief.
- 15:27And she has a lot of shame.
- 15:30So much shame that she doesn't even go and see her grandmother for two years.
- 15:33And that's a part of this too.
- 15:34And then, you know, I liked that the dynamic, and this is where I think that his toxic positivity or his positivity, I should say, because I don't feel like it was totally toxic
- 15:42in this situation, ah was good because he made her realize that there was joy to life.
- 15:47And she made him realize that there's a reality to what's going on in the situation.
- 15:51And for that piece is why I think that I loved the balance so much of this and why it felt such like almost therapeutic and cathartic to watch.
- 15:58is because they're both different ends of the spectrum, but they help each other realize that life is closer to the middle.
- 16:04Yeah, kind of showing each other what you're missing out on if you choose to exclusively live in different corners of the world, and different, obviously different worldviews.
- 16:20Finding that balance.
- 16:22Again, so applicable to each and every one of us because it feels impossible sometimes to find a balance.
- 16:29But yeah, this show just does a really good job at not glorifying that either.
- 16:35Like it's not making it look awful, but it's not glorifying it.
- 16:38It's just saying, again, this is real.
- 16:44This is what we experience as a human.
- 16:50Yes.
- 16:50And with that humanity too, I think that so many people hope for that Hallmark moment.
- 16:55And for a second there, I thought the show was going to give us the Hallmark moment when he shows back up to the, to the, the diner, you know, the place where she's eating.
- 17:02And they have this kind of moment where they're like, we could get married, we could do these things.
- 17:05But truthfully, it was all about how this person had fundamentally changed me so much that they're going to have touched my life forever.
- 17:14and that I'm gonna go back to my life and actually be able to deal with some of my things.
- 17:16And so that's why I think this is one of the coolest shows I've ever seen on Broadway and theater in general.
- 17:22That could be a variable statement, I know, but I love the psychology of the fact that it wasn't about falling in love, but about falling in love with yourself and choosing
- 17:32yourself actively and making sure that you're actively okay and that this person you can care about very much.
- 17:39at the end of the day, it wasn't like the, we could save each other.
- 17:44that we could pack ourselves up, we could move in together and we could be together forever and love is gonna be that way.
- 17:49Cause that's not the reality of the situation for most people.
- 17:51And that's not the situation in this story.
- 17:54Yes, and that's where I feel like this was a rom-com that...
- 17:59I wish we would glorify more in the sense that the relationship or whatever we want to call it.
- 18:07ah
- 18:09them meeting had a positive impact on each other, even though it didn't go the way that you might have anticipated it going, even though they didn't end up together.
- 18:24but it was still healthy.
- 18:25Like was actually healthier.
- 18:27Like now they are both in a better place because of the other person.
- 18:31And obviously like we don't know what their future looks like, right?
- 18:36We kind of like have this open-ended ending um in the age of technology, which is clearly what this show is still taking place.
- 18:47Like, you know, like they have each other's phone number.
- 18:49They could text, they could talk, whatever.
- 18:50um
- 18:53And I interesting, I drew a lot of parallels to my life in that regard because we live in a society, here goes my soapbox moment, we live in a society where relationships are
- 19:10glorified.
- 19:11And if you aren't in one, it's like you're missing out on something.
- 19:15And if you don't end up with somebody, you're like somehow failing life.
- 19:19And so for this show to kind of grasp onto friendship and still the importance of having other people in your life that are making you better, but that doesn't mean that it has to
- 19:35be from a relational standpoint, em was different and new.
- 19:42And I haven't seen
- 19:45Obviously, like you just said, it's not something I've ever seen before.
- 19:49I would love to see more of it because I think that there's a massive amount of people out there like me who can relate similarly to having people in your life that care for you and
- 20:01that you care about so deeply that you also just like don't want it to be anything other than what it is.
- 20:10greed.
- 20:11And I will take this step further because I think that in the show, there's two things that were interpreted that you enter one thing you interpreted differently, but something
- 20:21that think other people interpreted differently as well.
- 20:24And the first one being the opening of Act two, where they had gone out partying and they wake up and they're in bed together.
- 20:30And most people in the audience assume that they had slept together, including myself.
- 20:34And when we walked out, you were kind of having a moment where you're just like, it was so cool.
- 20:38They were just like,
- 20:39almost two friends that had crashed together in a hotel after partying.
- 20:46And I think that does, I think with the storyline, the way it ended up where they were just kind of friends that had fundamentally changed each other for good, very similar to
- 20:54Wicked.
- 20:54uh But for you, that wasn't a moment of like sexual intimacy.
- 21:01was like emotional intimacy of like friends can do that.
- 21:05People that you care about can do that.
- 21:07It was a moment of
- 21:09release for both, but it didn't have to be like this falling in love, romantically, sexually kind of piece here.
- 21:17And so that really started to me when you were kind of interpreting this as we were going back to our hotel after the show.
- 21:22Yeah, which like obviously it's very clearly, like I would say strong, it's implied very strongly.
- 21:32However, I think it's vague for that exact purpose.
- 21:40Like you've seen rom-coms, you've seen shows where it's so clear, you know, there's almost always a line that speaks to the thing that they did.
- 21:51whatever level of thing that that is.
- 21:54And this show, like, there wasn't...
- 21:59like a, at least for me, I did not interpret any of the lines or any of the lyrics to explicitly say we slept together, right?
- 22:09Or like kind of that we're falling in love with each other moment.
- 22:16Obviously, aside from then later in Act Two, we get like, we should get married.
- 22:20But that doesn't, at least again to me, that felt almost like a joke.
- 22:27Yes.
- 22:27not like, because obviously they just met.
- 22:31um Which, I mean, like people, Vegas, that's a real thing.
- 22:36But um I don't know, it just, yeah, maybe I interpret it differently.
- 22:42We know I interpret a lot of things differently, but um an interesting, and I think intentional choice.
- 22:52I think that when you pair it with one other thing, and I'll agree, I thought it was a joke too, because there's been times, in fact, it was my birthday recently and one of my
- 23:00uh friends jokingly was just like, next year you turn 35 and if we don't have partners, we're gonna have to get married like we promised 10 years ago and that was like a joke, we
- 23:08laughed about it, because we both know that's not gonna happen.
- 23:11But when you pair it with a running joke too of him referring to her as Auntie Robin, like there was also a clear definition of like this isn't romantic because there was no,
- 23:22definition of like, you don't call me aunt, we slept together.
- 23:25You know what mean?
- 23:26Like it was very much like the, like you're an annoying kid, but I care about you.
- 23:31Yeah, and they sew easily again.
- 23:35It's just the subtleties for me.
- 23:37Like, this is Broadway.
- 23:39We saw a show with people completely nude in it.
- 23:43They could have been half naked in bed together, but when they both got out of bed, they were both wearing, like, in robes.
- 23:53ah
- 23:55I don't know.
- 23:56It's just like those subtleties.
- 23:57I'm like, you could have, he could have easily been shirtless.
- 24:01You know what I mean?
- 24:03To imply something.
- 24:06She could have easily, they could have referenced a comment or referenced a situation from the night before.
- 24:14But really all they, right.
- 24:18all they talked about was being hung over, which tells me, okay, you partied a lot, which we knew that's how Act One ended, but.
- 24:26Again, I think even doing some research after, because I was so curious like what other people thought and what their interpretations are, it is incredibly ambiguous.
- 24:36And I think that's intentional because of course, yeah, I mean, you're bound to piss somebody off if you confirm any of those angles because yes, she is the aunt.
- 24:49That's a little bit weird.
- 24:51Yes, they just met.
- 24:53Also a little bit like.
- 24:55There's a lot of lines that could have been crossed, but we don't like really cross them.
- 25:03And even in the end, when you get to the end, they end up giving a hug to each other.
- 25:06You know what I mean?
- 25:07It wasn't like a kiss.
- 25:08It wasn't like a romance moment.
- 25:09It was like a, it was a really strong hug.
- 25:12Cause she tell, he's going back to, um, to the UK and she's going off to see her grandmother after two years and they give themselves a hug.
- 25:20that's it.
- 25:20Like in that moment, they could have done like the maybe happy ending where it was a kiss.
- 25:25You know I mean?
- 25:25Like it could have been something that was a little bit deeper, but it wasn't, it was.
- 25:29It was just like a hug between two people and then they go about their life and they're both changing.
- 25:34like, that's the thing too, is like, do you want to start a relationship when you're both fundamentally changing so much from where you were just a day ago?
- 25:41They both have journeys to be on.
- 25:43And so I do think that's interesting too.
- 25:45And it gave me one of the probably the best endings, I think again, like emotional catharsis endings I've seen in a long time.
- 25:52Granted, I guess that was last year at the outsiders, but uh it really truly was a moment that's.
- 25:59felt you felt good and complete without having to feel like it was them falling in love.
- 26:03Yeah, which...
- 26:05More shows like this, please.
- 26:06Or more plots.
- 26:08Maybe not with like so much drama, but.
- 26:10I mean, if they want to.
- 26:13We need more single lead characters going on self journeys.
- 26:23Sure.
- 26:25So, with there only being two characters, what's, instead of talking about who like, was like impressive on stage, that's not what I want, but like, which character did you relate
- 26:36to more?
- 26:36Which performances did you feel were more connected to where you are in your life right now?
- 26:44Were you more of a Sam or were you more of a Robbo?
- 26:47Sorry, Dougal, because his name is Sam in real life.
- 26:51there you know we're talking about Sam Tutty and Chris Christiana Pitts are the two actors in the show what do you feel like really stood out to you in that way
- 27:01Um, I am for sure more of a Robin.
- 27:06Yes, absolutely you are.
- 27:08I just, things are as they are and that doesn't mean that I can't be happy or sad about them, but
- 27:19Yeah, I'm just, I take things as they come.
- 27:24And I can be a sarcastic jerk sometimes, only to the people that know that I'm being sarcastic.
- 27:30um So immediately, again, I think that opening number right off the bat, just getting the, you know, kind of sass back, I'm like, that's exactly what I would say.
- 27:46Which actually, I think there are times even when my friends are
- 27:50whether we're in a car, singing, or wherever we are, and I will just insert commentary to the line that they're singing.
- 27:59So it literally is basically the same thing that she was doing in that song, which again, is probably why I felt so in alignment.
- 28:08How are we both Robins though?
- 28:10That's what I want to know.
- 28:11How are we surviving in a friendship of two Robins?
- 28:13Unless I'm secretly Dougal here and I didn't realize it.
- 28:17I see way more as Dougal than I do as Robin.
- 28:21I am the most sarcastic person I know.
- 28:26I mean, he has jokes too.
- 28:29Well, he's got his br-humor.
- 28:31Um...
- 28:33which, I mean, obviously, upper interpretation, you can be and think you are whoever you want.
- 28:42No, no by all means tell me why I'm why I'm Dougal
- 28:47I mean...
- 28:49positive energy all over the place.
- 28:51That is very sweet.
- 28:52And then I also turn into an asshole and I don't like what I hear.
- 28:56That's the main takeaway here.
- 28:59Well, I've never experienced that, so I don't know.
- 29:02Well, we're glad for that.
- 29:05But I appreciate that.
- 29:06It's interesting because I feel more like a Robin.
- 29:08I feel more like guarded and I feel more like I've been through trauma and that I'm more of a sarcastic asshole to kind of deal with that.
- 29:15But everybody seems to tell me I have the golden retriever energy of Dougal, which is interesting because I don't always feel that.
- 29:21I always feel like you're the depressed, angry person under that surface.
- 29:28So I guess it's just, again, up for interpretation.
- 29:32Well, and arguably Robin has that on the outside, right?
- 29:39But Dougal does ultimately have it on the inside.
- 29:43uh He just is putting on way better face than Robin is, because she just doesn't care to put on face.
- 29:52I think maybe that's...
- 29:54The difference?
- 29:56Like I do not see you at all being like...
- 30:00I don't know.
- 30:01Your sarcasm is to be funny and not to be real.
- 30:07Does that make sense?
- 30:09Like her sarcasm feels like she's just telling it how it is and it's technically in the vehicle in which she's doing that is sarcasm.
- 30:18Like it's not with positive energy.
- 30:21Whereas I feel like yours does come with
- 30:25positive energy, like it's made to be humorous.
- 30:28Well, now that we've completely put our psyches on the line here for everybody to see,
- 30:37You're welcome, world.
- 30:39Go see the show and you'll do this with your friends too.
- 30:42If this episode ever makes it to the light of day now, if I'm just like, you know what, we don't need this episode.
- 30:47It's going to be like, hi everybody, welcome to the show.
- 30:53It was a show.
- 30:54The end.
- 30:54It's like, wow, that was the fastest show we've ever done.
- 30:56Um, but no, I think I get what you're saying is, and that is where I think it's interesting because maybe it shows you how people are perceived and how they feel
- 31:09different depending on where they're in their life.
- 31:11And also how.
- 31:12both ends of the spectrum can be pretty much the same, you know what mean?
- 31:17And as long as we're moving towards the center um and we're willing to grow, that's part of the journey that you get to see with these characters.
- 31:28Now that I can wrap it all up in that fine little package there.
- 31:34And with that note, we are running out of time.
- 31:38Unless you want more of...
- 31:39running away because he's so uh shook up by our psyche analysis.
- 31:46I've just, RJ has told me before about my golden retriever energy, he just has never put it either A, so eloquently, or B, on such a public platform before.
- 31:56oh
- 31:58just telling the world what they already know.
- 32:00If you're looking for your golden retriever energy, I'm your boy.
- 32:04But with that, uh we are running out of time.
- 32:07So stay tuned for part two of our Two Strangers Caring to Cake Across New York discussion.
- 32:12Thank you again for joining us here in our box seats.
- 32:14Until next curtain call.
