Latest / Inside The Vault with Ash Cash / ITV #204: From Chronic Illness to Millions: How Elaine Essien Built a 7-Figure Beauty Empire
Transcript
- 0:00[SPEAKER_00]: So after getting fired after job after job, I'm like no, I think the only thing I can do is become entrepreneur because
- 0:08[SPEAKER_00]: I can control my time, I don't have to worry about people firing me and not being able to take care of myself, create my own business, and create my own schedule so I could take that control my health.
- 0:17[SPEAKER_02]: Talk about that grub, doing here in your dorm room, and then you get to a space where you build a seven-figure.
- 0:23[SPEAKER_02]: A seven-figure is a million-dollar business.
- 0:25[SPEAKER_00]: I love that you pointed that out because unfortunately, I was born on a sickle-cellenemia, a huge disease that faces a lot of black people, island, Spanish people.
- 0:34[SPEAKER_02]: You're telling me a first generation American comes here with this rare, you know, disease, build a business up to seven figures.
- 0:47[SPEAKER_02]: That sounds like delusion to me.
- 0:49[SPEAKER_00]: If you target people that are suffering with acne and there's millions of people, you're going to get paid because they've been trying to get rid of that for years.
- 0:56[SPEAKER_00]: With the virtual aesthetics, you can make $500 to $2000 and only 30 minutes of one client.
- 1:02[SPEAKER_02]: And they're saying, um, the economy is messed up.
- 1:05[SPEAKER_02]: Thousands of people are losing jobs and thinking, why would somebody spend money on beauty?
- 1:10[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, people aren't spending as much, but...
- 1:16[SPEAKER_02]: I know you want to watch this next video, but listen, if you are an entrepreneur, business coach, business consultant or a small business owner who has a story and wants to learn how to create multiple strings of income from your story.
- 1:31[SPEAKER_02]: I need you to text me right now.
- 1:32[SPEAKER_02]: My book.
- 1:33[SPEAKER_02]: to six, four, six, six, eight, seven, four, one, five, two.
- 1:37[SPEAKER_02]: That is my personal number.
- 1:39[SPEAKER_02]: I have been an author for over 12 years, I've written 10 books, four of them have been best sellers, and I've sold over 100,000 books, but I've also helped a lot of my clients, take their expertise and put it into a story, then create multiple streams of income from that.
- 1:54[SPEAKER_02]: So I wanna help you do the same thing.
- 1:56[SPEAKER_02]: So text my book to six, four, six, six, eight, seven, four, one, five, two.
- 2:01[SPEAKER_02]: I, let's go back to the video.
- 2:19[SPEAKER_02]: All right, so welcome to another awesome episode of Inside the Vault with Ascash, the greatest money mindset show on the planet.
- 2:27[SPEAKER_02]: Listen, most people think freedom comes from working harder, but what if working harder is the very thing keeping you broke?
- 2:36[SPEAKER_02]: burnt out and boxed in.
- 2:38[SPEAKER_02]: Today's guest started as a broke college student doing makeup in a dorm room just to survive.
- 2:45[SPEAKER_02]: She did everything right.
- 2:47[SPEAKER_02]: She got to the degree.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_02]: She went corporate and still found herself trapped.
- 2:51[SPEAKER_02]: Not by lack of talent, but by her own body, chronic illness, force her to ask a question, most entrepreneurs avoid.
- 3:02[SPEAKER_02]: What kind of business can I run if my health won't let me grind?
- 3:07[SPEAKER_02]: She opened up a spawn in the middle of the pandemic, scaled it to seven figures then made a move that shocked the beauty industry.
- 3:16[SPEAKER_02]: She walked away from the storefront model.
- 3:19[SPEAKER_02]: entirely.
- 3:20[SPEAKER_02]: Today she runs a fully remote aesthetics business, a healthy beauty professional scale to six and seven figures without burnout, and proves you don't need to share a sweet or a city full of rich clients to build real wealth.
- 3:37[SPEAKER_02]: If you ever felt trapped by your business, your body,
- 3:40[SPEAKER_02]: or the belief that successful choir sacrifice you're going to watch a watch this episode all the way to the end.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_02]: Ladies and gentlemen, we have Elaine, the S.E.N., the Esthetician in the River, Chimneys.
- 3:53[SPEAKER_02]: We was joking behind it behind the scenes because this is a ton to us there.
- 3:58[SPEAKER_02]: But we have Elaine in the building, how are you?
- 4:00[SPEAKER_02]: How you feel it?
- 4:01[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going well.
- 4:02[SPEAKER_02]: I'm excited to have this conversation with you because not only did you start your business where through survival, so it's not like you came from money, you were able to build up a seven-figure business.
- 4:20[SPEAKER_02]: You have to walk away from it.
- 4:22[SPEAKER_02]: And really this this concept especially in our community where we are told that we need to work hard for money work hard for money work hard for money You're actually saying the opposite saying that you like you shouldn't be on the grind on the grind all the time, but then also you have
- 4:39[SPEAKER_02]: You're a chronic illness that I'm going to talk about as well that actually is that has forced you to the to the to the soft life I guess what they like they call it right the soft life which is a great thing that you were able to to to monetize And still like you don't have to sacrifice your well being because You know of your illness and we'll talk about all that stuff, but before we start them For those who don't know who is a lane that's even
- 5:07[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, guys, so you got to write triple E. Elaine S.C.N.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_00]: The ascetician on from Albany, New York.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_00]: So a little bit about me.
- 5:17[SPEAKER_00]: I've been in the beauty industry for about 10 years.
- 5:19[SPEAKER_00]: Now, start off as a makeup artist.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_00]: As you mentioned, do a makeup in my dorm room.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_00]: Did that for a few years, then I actually won a Shark Tank Pitch competition.
- 5:29[SPEAKER_00]: I made my own lashes, that girls like they're on for makeup.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_00]: And then after that, I decided to go to aesthetic school and I opened up my own spot business.
- 5:40[SPEAKER_00]: My parents, though, they're both from Ghana First Gen, so they were not a fan of my entrepreneur life.
- 5:46[SPEAKER_00]: They like just focus on your books, but I just knew that wasn't for me.
- 5:50[SPEAKER_00]: So, yeah, here we are.
- 5:51[SPEAKER_02]: And so, I would unpack a lot of that though, right, because, you know, my pet and both of my parents are from Haiti.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_02]: And so I understand, like, the first generation of American, it may look like it's the better way.
- 6:05[SPEAKER_02]: And all this respect to anybody who does the, you know, the worst or not in a five, but as somebody who is an entrepreneur who has generated, you know, all the seven figures in business, I understand that that's not the only way.
- 6:20[SPEAKER_02]: Um, I know for me, when when I decide, you know, I came from a big in-back, I was working as a banker.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_02]: I was making six figures, making great money, uh, you know, grew up in the projects.
- 6:30[SPEAKER_02]: So I remember the day I told my mother that I was quitting my job.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_02]: I think she was about to attack me.
- 6:35[SPEAKER_02]: Like, like, physically, um,
- 6:38[SPEAKER_02]: Like how was that conversation like to your parents telling them this and I'm trying to be an entrepreneur like what was the conversation like and why Why didn't you listen you thought ultimately
- 6:52[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so for me personally and I feel like every entrepreneur has this inside of them, it's like, if they don't like it, they're not going to do it.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_00]: Like they say most entrepreneurs are like BC students.
- 7:04[SPEAKER_00]: So one thing about me, my parents would be like, do it this way and not that way.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm like, no, that doesn't make any sense.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_00]: So me and my parents used to beef all the time.
- 7:12[SPEAKER_00]: So once I realized that they didn't really support me or see me succeeding in the lane.
- 7:18[SPEAKER_00]: I wanted to go and I just stopped talking to them.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_00]: Um, because, you know, I said, you know, I said, you know, I said, you know, I'm right there.
- 7:24[SPEAKER_00]: Those who, I hope that's the appearance, but I'll explain.
- 7:26[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, yeah, because, you know, there's a line that says, um, whoever has your ear has your future.
- 7:31[SPEAKER_02]: Barks.
- 7:31[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_00]: So I knew it was important to not share my dreams of people that wouldn't be able to understand it.
- 7:37[SPEAKER_00]: So I moved so low for a long time.
- 7:39[SPEAKER_00]: Once I realized that they weren't a fan, um, and I used to tell them, like, hey, like, you know, there's tons of celebrities.
- 7:45[SPEAKER_00]: We aren't say Jaycee.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_00]: All these people.
- 7:47[SPEAKER_00]: that are not in corporate doing amazing, but I feel like for where our parents came from, they just feel like that's them, not you.
- 7:54[SPEAKER_00]: And I think a big thing about, you know, you being Haitian, you being African, foreign people in general, it's like they had such a hard life, you know?
- 8:01[SPEAKER_00]: So us coming here and being able to go to school for free and all that, it's like just put your head down, go to school, and get a job, you know, why are you trying to try things out
- 8:11[SPEAKER_00]: So it's like, you know, they want that you're best.
- 8:13[SPEAKER_00]: They have their best inches in the heart for you, but they don't know what's best for you.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_00]: And I always tell them like, you know, no one grows up to want to be a janitor, right?
- 8:21[SPEAKER_00]: But people are janitors.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_00]: We need people in different roles.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_00]: So not everyone can be a doctor, a lawyer.
- 8:26[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean?
- 8:27[SPEAKER_00]: We all are called to do different things.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_02]: I love that and you actually say what I want them to get back to when I said, don't talk to your parents.
- 8:36[SPEAKER_02]: And you know as my child shocking to people, what I really mean and you said this is you can't really take advice from people who haven't done what you are looking to do and a lot of times we conflate love with who we should be taking advice from right and so because you know not everybody who has your best interest at heart
- 9:02[SPEAKER_02]: a lot of them are even qualified to give you advice.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_02]: So like for me, you know, say thing like when I think about like my mother worked, she be a Lee spoke English, she worked factory jobs.
- 9:13[SPEAKER_02]: And so even me making six figures was the big deal, right?
- 9:18[SPEAKER_02]: It's like, oh my god, and I'm not taking that for granted.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_02]: But if I'm looking, if I'm looking at life and I'm saying there's a possibility that I could be a millionaire,
- 9:26[SPEAKER_02]: And nobody in my family has ever been a millionaire.
- 9:30[SPEAKER_02]: I know you're a love me, I know you're going to root for me.
- 9:34[SPEAKER_02]: That's it, a day, you know what?
- 9:35[SPEAKER_02]: Let's stop talking to you, right?
- 9:36[SPEAKER_02]: I want to start talking to the people who are, you know, you know, who've been where I've been, who could guide me and say, hey, no, this is the route you need to take because I've been here before.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_02]: Talk a little bit about your chronic illness though, because I think that is potentially right.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_02]: Could that have been one of the things your parents were thinking about with like, man, you know, you know, she has this condition.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_02]: And in this condition, you know, she, she need a job, she needs stable job, she needs health benefits, like, can you talk a little bit about some condition?
- 10:10[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 10:11[SPEAKER_00]: So, unfortunately, I was born with sickle-cellenemia that's like a huge disease that faces a lot of black people, island, Spanish people, but it doesn't really get a lot of light because it affects mostly people of color.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_00]: So, we already know how the industry is in the hospital with us.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_00]: So, there's a lack of information and a lack of help.
- 10:30[SPEAKER_00]: One thing that was unfortunate, you know, coming up with my family is like, they kind of pretended like it didn't exist, you know, like, I don't know about, you know, being Haitian, but, you know, they like to sweep things on the new rug.
- 10:42[SPEAKER_00]: They don't want people in your business.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_00]: Don't talk about it.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_00]: No one even knew, you know, that I had this growing up close family members.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_00]: Um, so I was a bit disappointed because as I grew up and I kept losing jobs because you'd end up in the hospital for weeks, you know, even months sometimes I could never hold a job doesn't matter how good I was at the role, especially because you can't tell when someone has it.
- 11:03[SPEAKER_00]: You can be an excruciating pain, but no one can tell, you know, unless you tell them.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_00]: Um, so one thing that I realized I had to take control of my own life because I feel like my parents were in denial of that because I know you have kids, so it's just like, you don't want to see your kid in pain, so I feel like they tried to pretend like it wasn't real, but it was real, you know.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_00]: you would think they would put money aside for me and all that because of the situation.
- 11:28[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, no one's acclaimed disability, but maybe do something to help me.
- 11:32[SPEAKER_00]: But they didn't.
- 11:32[SPEAKER_00]: They just were like, oh, just try not to get sick, but this is not something that you could control.
- 11:37[SPEAKER_00]: So after getting fired after job after job, I'm like, nah, I think the only thing I can do is become entrepreneur, because I can control my time.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_00]: I don't have to worry about people firing me and not being able to take care of myself.
- 11:49[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I thought I was going to have to live up my parents' house forever,
- 11:53[SPEAKER_00]: you know, if I could have a stable job so I just had to take into my own hands, you know, create my own business and create my own schedule so I could take back control of my health.
- 12:01[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and that, um, that's powerful because again, like even just hearing that, right?
- 12:08[SPEAKER_02]: It's like, you, again, you were made to be an entrepreneur.
- 12:12[SPEAKER_02]: But before we go off of the sickle cell because I just, just for my knowledge and then, you know, those who are watching, um, when you say,
- 12:19[SPEAKER_02]: You know, you would be like, like, what is sick of Selenimia first and foremost?
- 12:25[SPEAKER_02]: And then, like, take me through, you know, you know, like, like, when does it pop up, like, like, like, like, like give me, give me, you know, five years old, you're not saying, and, and you're trying to explain to me, like, what sick of Selenimia is I would just
- 12:41[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_00]: So basically, in short, cyclosonemia is a blood disease.
- 12:45[SPEAKER_00]: It's not contagious.
- 12:46[SPEAKER_00]: So all of your red cells, red blood cells are like circular shape, but for when you have sickle cell, the majority of your red blood cells are shaped like a crescent, like think of a crescent moon.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_00]: So because that's not the standard when it's going through your your veins, like traveling through the body.
- 13:03[SPEAKER_00]: It gets stuck sometimes and wherever all those blood cells stick in they get stuck that's what causes the pain So it can happen anywhere.
- 13:10[SPEAKER_00]: It's not always in your knees It could happen anywhere your ankle your knee your back anywhere your arms and the pain is super excruciating You know, you can't measure pain But one of my cousins went to Harvard and they did a study and they said the closest they could measure it is breaking Seven bones at the same time.
- 13:27[SPEAKER_00]: That's how bad the pain is and sometimes it can be in multiple areas
- 13:31[SPEAKER_00]: I had multiple times as in my back, is in my knee.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_00]: I'm trying to rotate the heating pad, like I'm squirming, and the worst part about it is like when you go to the hospital, like the usually give people morphine if they're an extreme pain, like the amount of morphine that would help like a normal person, they can give you like five rounds of it, and it still doesn't work.
- 13:49[SPEAKER_00]: So what sucks about it too, and I'm happy that we're talking about it because it needs
- 13:54[SPEAKER_00]: More light is a lot of times people that suffer with sickle cell They don't get the health they need and some people actually pass away because they think you're drug-seeking Especially because most people that have this are black so they think like oh They're just here to seek drugs.
- 14:08[SPEAKER_00]: They're not really in pain.
- 14:09[SPEAKER_00]: They're in line But we're an excruciating pain.
- 14:12[SPEAKER_00]: So I've had so many times I've had around like 10 rounds of morphine It didn't help.
- 14:17[SPEAKER_00]: It just made me throw up, but it didn't it it didn't help the pain like it's so bad like I wouldn't wish that pain on anybody
- 14:23[SPEAKER_02]: Does it, is it a warning?
- 14:24[SPEAKER_02]: Like, does it, does it, does it, is it a lay?
- 14:26[SPEAKER_02]: I'm off the creep up on you.
- 14:27[SPEAKER_02]: How do you know?
- 14:29[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 14:29[SPEAKER_00]: That's the unfortunate part.
- 14:31[SPEAKER_00]: It surprises you.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_00]: So I used to go to bed with so much anxiety about like, am I going to be well tomorrow?
- 14:36[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_00]: The one grateful thing I can take from it is that's what helped my drive because I never knew if I had tomorrow.
- 14:42[SPEAKER_00]: I never knew if tomorrow ended up in the hospital for a week.
- 14:44[SPEAKER_00]: So.
- 14:45[SPEAKER_00]: No, there's no real trigger.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_00]: The only thing that they can help you with is not even a medication really that can help is just drinking more water.
- 14:53[SPEAKER_00]: So the blood cells can like travel better.
- 14:55[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, there's nothing.
- 14:56[SPEAKER_00]: The only thing that will trigger is like extreme heat or extreme cold.
- 15:01[SPEAKER_00]: And we're not allowed to swim either because of that temperature change in the body or hot tubes because you'll start sweating.
- 15:07[SPEAKER_00]: So those are the only triggers that you know you'll get sick
- 15:13[SPEAKER_00]: And then, you know, what is the time between outbreaks or it's literally random like you could go to the hospital, you know, maybe leave the same day be good for two days and bam hits you again, you in there for a week.
- 15:29[SPEAKER_00]: there's not a strict timeline which is why like I got fired from so many jobs because it's like you can't predict it you know what I mean so it's it's it's not for it's super unpredictable there's nothing you can really do even when you end up in the hospital it's like you want to get better but you literally have to let it run its course
- 15:46[SPEAKER_02]: And so let's just say within a year's time, you know, are there years with like, where I had five, yeah, then this year I had one, like, was the average, what would you say?
- 15:59[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so growing up when I was younger, it was super frequent, frequent, like I'd probably be in the hospital, like.
- 16:06[SPEAKER_00]: 30 to 50 percent out of the year.
- 16:09[SPEAKER_00]: Like I was in our last time.
- 16:10[SPEAKER_00]: I missed a lot of school.
- 16:11[SPEAKER_00]: I always am bad at math because like I missed so much of math class.
- 16:15[SPEAKER_00]: We did long division.
- 16:18[SPEAKER_00]: So, but that's a great question.
- 16:20[SPEAKER_00]: It really depends.
- 16:21[SPEAKER_00]: I just remember all the time in the hospital that called me a frequent flyer because I was there all the time.
- 16:26[SPEAKER_00]: Like I was like, dang this place is like my second home and I hated it.
- 16:29[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 16:29[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 16:30[SPEAKER_02]: And so as so is there there's no cure for it.
- 16:34[SPEAKER_02]: No.
- 16:34[SPEAKER_02]: Like like even if they did like blood transplants, let me just take out all of those and replace it like nothing.
- 16:41[SPEAKER_00]: So the only thing that they do have, but it's not 100% as a bone marrow transplant.
- 16:46[SPEAKER_00]: But you know that's like an extreme surgery and you have to go through chemotherapy and all that.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_00]: They have to remember like when you have sickle cell
- 16:56[SPEAKER_00]: your blood count is already low so it's a very risky thing to do and you have to be in the hospital for a bit I think about minimum three months so it's just like it's better maybe to do it for your child when they're kid but I feel like doing it when you're older you know you don't recover as fast so honestly I don't think that's something I want to try right now but that's the only thing they have but
- 17:18[SPEAKER_00]: My goal is to get richer, you know, so I can help donate because, like I said, it's very, like, no one really invest into it because it affects mainly black people.
- 17:29[SPEAKER_00]: There's tons of nurses.
- 17:30[SPEAKER_00]: I love god bless all the good nurses that took care of me.
- 17:33[SPEAKER_00]: Some of them, not that great, but there's a lot of them that's like, man, I wish they got so much attention when we were in school, sickle cells was like only a little small paragraph, but I can see with my patients that this is so extreme and you're in so much pain.
- 17:46[SPEAKER_00]: So please let me know anything you need.
- 17:48[SPEAKER_00]: Those are the good nurses versus the others.
- 17:50[SPEAKER_00]: Like, you sure you want more medicine.
- 17:51[SPEAKER_00]: Like, oh, you sure you're in that much pain.
- 17:53[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, so there's a lack of info.
- 17:55[SPEAKER_00]: There's a lack of, you know, donations.
- 17:57[SPEAKER_00]: There's a lack of study.
- 17:58[SPEAKER_00]: So that's my goal.
- 18:01[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 18:01[SPEAKER_02]: And so, and I appreciate you, you know, you're sharing them.
- 18:05[SPEAKER_02]: I guess my last question, you know, the, you know, rest in peace, Dr. Sebe, you know, salute, you know, Yaki Awaken, are then not the Dr. Sebe, like are there, like herbs, are there, like sea moss, like have you heard of anything that's outside of traditional medicine that can help or less or less in the
- 18:29[SPEAKER_00]: Definitely, you know, eating fruit and vegetable juice and all of that is going to be beneficial.
- 18:36[SPEAKER_00]: But as far as carrying it, probably not, but that will help suppress the flare-ups.
- 18:40[SPEAKER_00]: Like, beet juice is really good for you because beet is red blood, you know, so that stuff is good for you.
- 18:45[SPEAKER_00]: But, you know, like, still, yeah.
- 18:48[SPEAKER_02]: And so, so that, now let's flip back to getting richer and that's why I wanted to talk about that for an example.
- 18:56[SPEAKER_02]: because there are so, you know, so many people out there and I suffer with with with, you know, chronic illnesses, you know, so look at my sister, Eunice, she actually just wrote a book, you know, called The Day I Got Up, because she has multiple cirrhosis.
- 19:13[SPEAKER_02]: You know, and this is something that just same thing, just, I mean, she didn't, like, grow up with it, just kind of like popped up on her.
- 19:21[SPEAKER_02]: And, you know, you know, I know a bunch of people
- 19:26[SPEAKER_02]: stuff that could potentially stop them, even when I'm hearing you and what you talk about, you know, you actually gave me a higher respect for you to be honest with you, right?
- 19:38[SPEAKER_02]: To be able to have that type of pain going through your body and you are just rebellious and said, listen, like I'm going to be successful.
- 19:49[SPEAKER_02]: like you are the definition of like no matter what, you know what I'm saying?
- 19:53[SPEAKER_02]: So that's you know that like I salute you for that for sure And and and you were able to build a seventh figure business talk a little bit about that and and before we get there like if y'all listening
- 20:07[SPEAKER_02]: really pay attention to this because there's a lot of us who don't go through anything, right?
- 20:13[SPEAKER_02]: Like we complain, like I'd be up to the job play basketball all by like as I'm sitting here my Monday is on fire, right?
- 20:21[SPEAKER_02]: Because I had 10 to 90s, right?
- 20:23[SPEAKER_02]: But as I'm listening to you, I'm like,
- 20:25[SPEAKER_02]: It's a little bummed me and gonna do nothing and so a lot of us, we don't really go through anything and we complain about, oh I'm tired or I'm not gonna work because this or I'm not gonna do what it takes but this is somebody who like, like seven bones being broken, talk about that, like that grind, like, I,
- 20:47[SPEAKER_02]: doing hearing your dorm room, and then you get to a space where you build a seven figures.
- 20:52[SPEAKER_02]: A seven figure is a million dollar business.
- 20:54[SPEAKER_02]: Talk a little bit about that journey.
- 20:56[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I love that you pointed that out because people really sleep on their health, and it's really unfortunate like people wait till they get in a car accident or they get cancer.
- 21:04[SPEAKER_00]: They know someone with cancer were like, oh, I need a step in.
- 21:07[SPEAKER_00]: I need to go full force in my goals.
- 21:09[SPEAKER_00]: Like, why wait, you know, why delay your success?
- 21:12[SPEAKER_00]: You know,
- 21:13[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, definitely with my situation, you know, there's always both sides, right?
- 21:18[SPEAKER_00]: Other people will feel pity, but I'm grateful because it gave me the drive to go crazy, because I never knew how much time I had being healthy.
- 21:26[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, starting out on my dorm, I just didn't make up for fun, you know, my hair stylist told me to do it, so your face always looks good, you know, go ahead and do it when you go to college, make some money,
- 21:35[SPEAKER_00]: And I did that, and then made some money doing that, started selling lashes, just from look at supplier, no case and no nothing.
- 21:43[SPEAKER_00]: I was like driving around like a drug dealer with the lashes, telling the lashes.
- 21:49[SPEAKER_00]: And then I realized that's when I wanted to up it and get like a long lasting lash.
- 21:54[SPEAKER_00]: So that's when I did the Shark Tank Pitch Competition, and went against 32 different businesses, like he had some cool VR stuff.
- 22:01[SPEAKER_00]: Before VR was a thing, and my lashes went on top of
- 22:04[SPEAKER_00]: Then I went to work corporate in only last three to six months, and I was like, yeah, nah, I can't do this, and I left, and then I pursued a study school, and I had no who else there, God led me there, but I'm just like, all right, let's do it.
- 22:20[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I ran a makeup business, I think I could do this.
- 22:23[SPEAKER_00]: open up in the middle of the pandemic like facials weren't even allowed everyone's like you sure you want to do that like slow your row I said nah like god called me to this and I'm not just gonna wait till COVID's over in COVID's still going on so imagine if I waited I wouldn't have crossed over a million dollars if I listened to people so
- 22:40[SPEAKER_00]: I'm always tunnel vision and just doing what I think is best and I feel like that's really important for people.
- 22:45[SPEAKER_00]: They're always looking for a co-signer if you wait for a co-signer, you're never going to get, you're never going to make and you're never going to fulfill your purpose.
- 22:52[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and I agree.
- 22:53[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think people understand there is a 1% for a reason, right?
- 22:59[SPEAKER_02]: And when you think about 1%, the stats just say that when anybody who makes $400,000 or more,
- 23:09[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, makes more money than 99% of the world, right?
- 23:14[SPEAKER_02]: And so that 1% means that you're not going to be like everybody else.
- 23:19[SPEAKER_02]: Like if you are watching this and you're like, all right, I want to make six figures.
- 23:24[SPEAKER_02]: I want to make $400,000.
- 23:25[SPEAKER_02]: Well, you're trying to be in the 1% if you're trying to be in the 1% then that means majority of people, if you go into a room right now and there are 10 people in that room.
- 23:36[SPEAKER_02]: Nine of them are not gonna be thinking, this only gonna be going to be one person that has the energy or has the mindset that honestly, that's delusional enough, right?
- 23:48[SPEAKER_02]: Because you have to be crazy though, right?
- 23:52[SPEAKER_02]: You have to be crazy to be in that much pain to say, I'm gonna go, like, I'm like, cause think about this, right?
- 23:59[SPEAKER_02]: And then this is a true question for you.
- 24:01[SPEAKER_02]: Like with what you do like you have to be rich because what about health care?
- 24:08[SPEAKER_02]: What about like you're telling me that you could be in a hospital for months at a time and You'll still make money talk a look.
- 24:16[SPEAKER_02]: I'll be alright.
- 24:17[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm jumping all over the place because I'm like, man the the fact that
- 24:22[SPEAKER_02]: you started this business you shut it down because you would like listen I need to I didn't do a business that doesn't require me to work hard though and I guess in your like getting your mind you're like listen
- 24:37[SPEAKER_02]: I can't, like, there might be times that I'll be in a hospital, I still need to give money.
- 24:44[SPEAKER_02]: So talk a little bit about that pivot from, all right, I'm closing down this business and I'm changing, like, like, what gave you the force like to say, I want to create a different business model that I got, I get paid regardless and explain that business model a little bit.
- 24:59[SPEAKER_00]: yeah for sure so especially for the service providers like a lot of people are chained to their chair so like a barber like you only make money if you do a haircut so it's the same thing being an ascetician so you know my first real dive into entrepreneurship was opening up my own sweet and doing the face as I'm like okay cool I don't have a job you know but I'm getting my money but then I realize I'm just a super employee because if I'm not working I'm not making any money so if I'm in the hospital I'm not making money
- 25:27[SPEAKER_00]: So I realized like I needed to do something different so I opened up a store for an I hired a team so I went from a super employee to a glorify babysitter because it's like not have to run on these people make sure they're doing a good job if they not here I still have to work.
- 25:41[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm like this isn't it either.
- 25:43[SPEAKER_00]: So with the virtual aesthetics I'm like that.
- 25:45[SPEAKER_00]: So with the virtual aesthetics you can make 500 to $2,000 and only 30 minutes with one client.
- 25:51[SPEAKER_00]: So, and they still get the same results.
- 25:54[SPEAKER_00]: So, 80% of your skincare results come from what you're doing at home, and 20% is like through treatments.
- 26:00[SPEAKER_00]: So, to give like a better explanation, it's kind of like going to the gym.
- 26:03[SPEAKER_00]: Like, if someone never goes to the gym, but they eat healthy every single day, they're going to still look better than the person that goes to the gym every day, but they eat like crap.
- 26:11[SPEAKER_02]: Damn, I feel judged.
- 26:13[SPEAKER_02]: Because I'm going to eat $5,000 a week.
- 26:17[SPEAKER_02]: I just want to go to the gym, I feel judged.
- 26:22[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, that's basically how it is.
- 26:24[SPEAKER_00]: So when I figured that out, I'm like, what, $2,000 in 30 minutes, you'd have to do like eight to 12 services in person.
- 26:32[SPEAKER_00]: And your back is hurting, your neck is hurting, your wrist is hurting.
- 26:35[SPEAKER_00]: That's impossible.
- 26:36[SPEAKER_00]: So I was like, I don't want to depend on other people.
- 26:39[SPEAKER_00]: And then I don't want to have all this overhead.
- 26:41[SPEAKER_00]: And I want to have my freedom.
- 26:42[SPEAKER_00]: So that's when I went virtual.
- 26:44[SPEAKER_00]: So I...
- 26:45[SPEAKER_02]: When I introduced to you or like, like, yeah, I was like, like,
- 26:49[SPEAKER_02]: Was it a perfectly like, like, who, like, who introduced you, like, how how how how did this come about and then what was like when you saw you like wait, this this this is better.
- 26:59[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so I joined a mentor sharing.
- 27:02[SPEAKER_00]: I joined a mentorship just to scale my spot business for her to help me with my team.
- 27:07[SPEAKER_00]: And then she started talking about virtual.
- 27:09[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, you treat people skin virtual.
- 27:11[SPEAKER_00]: never heard that before because you know when people think face or you think you have to touch somebody and she's like yeah I have tons of clients that don't don't don't have time to either come in person for treatment or they just need help with their skincare routine and you know like with good home care products gonna cool grade products like one serum can run you like 200 and you need a whole set of products right so it's like imagine making that money on autopilot like 500 to 2k
- 27:37[SPEAKER_00]: And you can talk to someone, help them with their routine and then you never speak with them again because they just want to maintain it.
- 27:42[SPEAKER_00]: You like this stuff.
- 27:43[SPEAKER_00]: So you're just going to keep rebuying it.
- 27:45[SPEAKER_00]: So that's how it even turns passive too.
- 27:47[SPEAKER_00]: So you talk on the consultation, get to know them, get them their routine, check in with them later on, but you know after that, it's like residual.
- 27:55[SPEAKER_00]: So I have clients that haven't even seen in like four to five years.
- 27:58[SPEAKER_00]: Well, and they're still buying.
- 28:00[SPEAKER_00]: So I'll check my Shopify and there's money coming.
- 28:02[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't even do anything.
- 28:03[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:04[SPEAKER_02]: And so, well, well, well, well, well, well, well, well, I'm a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little
- 28:32[SPEAKER_02]: So you didn't get comfortable.
- 28:34[SPEAKER_02]: You pay for a mentor to guide you that mentor knew something that you didn't know.
- 28:40[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, right.
- 28:41[SPEAKER_02]: Like literally knew something that you didn't know introduced you to a new model and then that model.
- 28:48[SPEAKER_02]: Luckily, thank God that you listen, right?
- 28:51[SPEAKER_02]: That model actually better fits who you are than any other model, right?
- 28:57[SPEAKER_02]: Because imagine you still ran that storefront.
- 29:01[SPEAKER_02]: If you weren't able for whatever reasons, right?
- 29:04[SPEAKER_02]: Like we're talking chronic illness, this could be vacation.
- 29:08[SPEAKER_02]: This could be your child, this could be whatever, this could be whatever reasons with your unavailable for the business.
- 29:17[SPEAKER_02]: that business would have not thrive because you have to be actively involved in it.
- 29:24[SPEAKER_02]: You find a motto that now you, you're the plug-in outlet, right?
- 29:31[SPEAKER_02]: You provide the service, but then also in order to maintain that service, they need to keep buying the products from you over and over and over again.
- 29:39[SPEAKER_02]: And so you got clients that you haven't seen in four to five years that you're still making money from.
- 29:45[SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.
- 29:47[SPEAKER_00]: No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
- 30:09[SPEAKER_00]: If you're only taking in service, like inclinant clients, you're only working with your local community, like when you go a virtual on cap, so you can treat people all over the nation, so you can make way more money, because I come from a small town, so people don't really spend money like that, but once I took my expertise, virtually like I was doing consultation when people in Africa, DR, so it's like, that's what helped me hit my million.
- 30:32[SPEAKER_00]: It's the virtual.
- 30:33[SPEAKER_02]: Wow, and I want people to realize that because I think a lot of people, like I was talking to this old lady, you know, so you see this lady, this young lady, my, my, my videographer knows what I'm talking about, but we still get to this, this late 265 and she was just like just cursing out social media like I hate social media and I'm like this, like,
- 30:59[SPEAKER_02]: And I just realized that there's a lot of older women, single moms, that are making millions of vows on TikTok, selling products for services, and what people don't realize is, especially if you're from a small town, if you're from a small town, the internet is your savior.
- 31:17[SPEAKER_02]: because from a small town, you might be from a place that has a thousand people, two thousand people, like where's the money?
- 31:25[SPEAKER_02]: And if they don't have an economy there, even, right?
- 31:28[SPEAKER_02]: Like when we think about places like Detroit that went under because the economy was cars and when they moved the cars to the prisons, but that's a different story.
- 31:37[SPEAKER_02]: When they moved the labor to somewhere else and then now, you know what I'm saying?
- 31:41[SPEAKER_02]: Like the economy's not flourishing, the city goes under,
- 31:44[SPEAKER_02]: literally there's a there's a economy that you could create online like you said it's it's uncapped like you go reach all these different different people that's where your money is right and like you said you could scale that way faster than you can a local community what does it take to be licensed as a ascetician?
- 32:05[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, so in order to be a licensed ascetician, you do have to go to school.
- 32:09[SPEAKER_00]: It's kind of like, cousin Todd, you like barber, stuff like that.
- 32:11[SPEAKER_00]: So for New York, it's 600 hours is different in every state.
- 32:16[SPEAKER_00]: So once you get that license, like you can get started even in school because you get your temporary license where you can order products wholesale.
- 32:23[SPEAKER_00]: So you can start selling it so you could get started while you're in school, you know, because people wait till after and then now you're trying to pose and build your social media to get clients so start in schools like 500 to 2000 per person you can make a lot of money one day.
- 32:37[SPEAKER_00]: I made over 10k one day like just treating people virtually never touched anybody just did it from home.
- 32:43[SPEAKER_00]: Um, so yeah, and like you said earlier, a lot of people are running from online, but 93% of people do online search before they buy something.
- 32:52[SPEAKER_00]: So it's like, even if you're doing something where people are only serving the local community, it has to start online anyway, because we don't have yellow pages anymore.
- 33:00[SPEAKER_00]: Like, people aren't starting online.
- 33:01[SPEAKER_00]: If people know what yellow things are.
- 33:03[SPEAKER_00]: I don't have to say, I'd like to view no, you don't.
- 33:05[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, they just, yes, like people aren't looking through a book.
- 33:08[SPEAKER_00]: They're looking online.
- 33:09[SPEAKER_00]: And one of my favorite mentors, Mitty.
- 33:11[SPEAKER_00]: He always says, like, whoever markets the most wins.
- 33:14[SPEAKER_00]: So it's a lot of institutions.
- 33:16[SPEAKER_00]: There's a lot of people who, like, no one knows who you are.
- 33:19[SPEAKER_00]: Like, and he says that all the time, like, if no one knows who you are, they can't pay you.
- 33:23[SPEAKER_00]: So it's like, if I can give any advice, like, in order to make this work in an order to make millions, like you have to show your face online.
- 33:29[SPEAKER_00]: Because it's like, you could be the top
- 33:34[SPEAKER_00]: On the you know your clippers know that you're a good bibertic.
- 33:37[SPEAKER_02]: You're a bigger cow don't, you're a bigger cow don't, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 34:01[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, for sure, because I saw a lot of people like about to shut their doors or shut their doors.
- 34:07[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, there is a shift in the economy, but people always like, all of people aren't spending money.
- 34:11[SPEAKER_00]: Now, people just aren't spending money with you because they're still spending money on things that they find valuable.
- 34:16[SPEAKER_00]: But the problem is people aren't showing up as valuable.
- 34:20[SPEAKER_00]: So I always tell people, for example, if you're ascetician, just taking a picture of your bed or your room, that's not doing anything for people.
- 34:26[SPEAKER_00]: You have to call out their pain points.
- 34:28[SPEAKER_00]: What are people's suffering?
- 34:29[SPEAKER_00]: Are you tired?
- 34:29[SPEAKER_00]: It's spending $1,000 on makeup.
- 34:31[SPEAKER_00]: Trying to cover up your face.
- 34:33[SPEAKER_00]: Like, why not just investing your skin a little bit.
- 34:35[SPEAKER_00]: And you don't have to worry about makeup.
- 34:36[SPEAKER_00]: When it's hot outside, you don't want to wear makeup.
- 34:39[SPEAKER_00]: So it's like, call out their pain points.
- 34:40[SPEAKER_00]: So,
- 34:41[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, people aren't spending as much, but they're spending on things that are valuable, and you know, women are the top spenders, you know, men get their face done too, but women are top spenders, so it's like, you just have to show up as valuable, like, and people will pay you.
- 34:56[SPEAKER_00]: Like, even in my small town, I was the most expensive ascetician, like, I charged 300 for facial, I was selling packages for 3, 4, 5k, and people have been in the game for, like, 10 years,
- 35:09[SPEAKER_00]: Because the problem is a lot of people think with their own pockets.
- 35:12[SPEAKER_00]: But it's like, it's not about what you think is expensive.
- 35:15[SPEAKER_00]: It's what the person seems at, sees as valuable.
- 35:17[SPEAKER_00]: Some people think buying sneakers every Saturday.
- 35:20[SPEAKER_00]: That's worth the $250 what they want in vests and skincare.
- 35:23[SPEAKER_00]: You know, that's up to the person.
- 35:24[SPEAKER_00]: But that doesn't mean it's not millions of people out there that want to invest in these.
- 35:28[SPEAKER_00]: Can.
- 35:28[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 35:29[SPEAKER_02]: And I love that you said that the also that people kind of think with their own pockets.
- 35:36[SPEAKER_02]: Because I see that a lot as well where people have a skill set or they have something that could make their millions of dollars.
- 35:44[SPEAKER_02]: But because of
- 35:46[SPEAKER_02]: like where they are in their life or whatever or what they would spend money on or invest money in, they are afraid to approach certain people with charts or things.
- 35:57[SPEAKER_02]: How does pricing work?
- 35:58[SPEAKER_02]: Do you set your own pricing?
- 36:00[SPEAKER_02]: Do you look for only affiliate clients?
- 36:03[SPEAKER_02]: Like if somebody wanted to start,
- 36:07[SPEAKER_02]: how can they start making 10k a day.
- 36:10[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so for the play to be a virtual ascetician or how to run that.
- 36:15[SPEAKER_00]: So the first step that you do is like, just talk about how you can treat their skin all virtually.
- 36:20[SPEAKER_00]: So you want to make the content first.
- 36:22[SPEAKER_00]: Then you want to lead them into looking the virtual consultation on their menu.
- 36:27[SPEAKER_00]: Then you just have them send photos of their skin.
- 36:29[SPEAKER_00]: You host the consultation on Zoom so you can analyze just listen to what they're saying.
- 36:34[SPEAKER_00]: Then you just customize a routine.
- 36:35[SPEAKER_00]: So someone has acne or dark spots.
- 36:37[SPEAKER_00]: You just customize a routine where the product is going to help fix that.
- 36:41[SPEAKER_00]: You mail it to them, send them the routine in their email, how to use everything.
- 36:45[SPEAKER_00]: And then you just follow up with them, make sure they're good.
- 36:48[SPEAKER_00]: See if they need any changes, how's everything going.
- 36:51[SPEAKER_00]: And then after that, you show them how you can just reorder on the website or they can just text your line because you say they're card on file with the booking size.
- 37:00[SPEAKER_00]: So they don't have to worry.
- 37:01[SPEAKER_00]: It's kind of like concierge.
- 37:02[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, do you need a refill?
- 37:04[SPEAKER_00]: That like I'll just refill that for you.
- 37:06[SPEAKER_00]: and make, yeah, so you don't even have to think about or go through the website by yourself.
- 37:10[SPEAKER_00]: And then you have a long-term client, as long as you have good products, they're going to keep coming back because a lot of people are tired of going so also, as before, listening to all these influencers, they're tired of the trial and error, so they just want to work with a skin expert, and you have a client for life if you make their skin look good.
- 37:27[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, not love that.
- 37:29[SPEAKER_02]: And from a product perspective, are you creating the products?
- 37:35[SPEAKER_02]: Are you wholesale in the products?
- 37:37[SPEAKER_02]: Like, talk a little bit about what you're offering.
- 37:40[SPEAKER_00]: So I partner with clinical grade products because in order to get those dramatic results, all virtually unique products.
- 37:47[SPEAKER_00]: So you could a private label throw your label on there, but
- 37:50[SPEAKER_00]: it's not going to be as quality.
- 37:52[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, these clinical grade products like they run trials, you know, they have chemists, it's really expensive to formulate one product.
- 38:00[SPEAKER_00]: Like I would love to do that, but it's, it gives you like over 10,000 for one product.
- 38:04[SPEAKER_00]: And you know, you have to test it on multiple people.
- 38:06[SPEAKER_00]: So, I partner with brands that already has successful products.
- 38:10[SPEAKER_00]: I know get results.
- 38:11[SPEAKER_00]: Of course, when you're licensed, you get it for 50% off, so you can still make your profit.
- 38:16[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, so for now, I partner and don't have my own.
- 38:19[SPEAKER_00]: But what definitely has a decision when you start making more money, you do want to be the plug yourself.
- 38:24[SPEAKER_00]: Because, you know, like, if you don't own the product, they can change the ingredients.
- 38:27[SPEAKER_00]: It cannot be as good, they can up the prices.
- 38:30[SPEAKER_00]: So the goal is always to have your own, but for now, that's just partner with them.
- 38:34[SPEAKER_02]: And so now, so you partner with them, but still 50% markup, this still residual income, right people paying, and I love the fact that you said, this is like a cost-eared service where a lot of times they're in your system already, so all you gotta do is keep, keep charging them.
- 38:54[SPEAKER_02]: What is the profile of a client?
- 38:56[SPEAKER_02]: So like somebody that would take the services.
- 39:01[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so honestly, everybody needs a skincare routine man and women.
- 39:06[SPEAKER_00]: So anyone that just needs help with their skincare, but specifically, I like targeting like corrective clients.
- 39:12[SPEAKER_00]: Like people that are suffering with like acne, darts, but something that like they just can't stand that's hard to get rid of, because you're always going to get paid from those people.
- 39:20[SPEAKER_00]: So like I mentioned earlier with the economy, like people might cut back on like fluff and buff.
- 39:25[SPEAKER_00]: You know, when you go, just get like facial from like those massage places,
- 39:30[SPEAKER_00]: nothing special but that's not going to fix your face if you have acne.
- 39:33[SPEAKER_00]: So if you target people that are suffering with acne and there's millions of people you're going to get paid because they've been trying to get rid of that for years.
- 39:42[SPEAKER_00]: Like I've had clients that have been to dermatologists have been dealing with it since they're like 13 and they're like 30 now.
- 39:48[SPEAKER_00]: So it's like they're willing to spend the money.
- 39:50[SPEAKER_00]: So those are the people you're going to make them the most money from.
- 39:53[SPEAKER_00]: because it doesn't matter the economy, that's something that they're insecure about every single day, you know, and you have the talents to fix their skin and you don't even have to touch them.
- 40:02[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, my love that.
- 40:04[SPEAKER_02]: That's on now fast for us to, you know, you mentor ship, like you know, you've gotten mentorship, you continue to get mentorship.
- 40:12[SPEAKER_02]: But now you are also a mentor, someone coming into your program, what are they learning and what's the benefit of them being with you?
- 40:24[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, number one, I definitely.
- 40:27[SPEAKER_00]: One of the main important things is how to attract like premium clients.
- 40:30[SPEAKER_00]: So I always say we don't do brokeies like I don't do sale.
- 40:34[SPEAKER_00]: So I want to show them how to position themselves to attract premium clients.
- 40:38[SPEAKER_00]: So I show them how to do that on all platforms, like the exact things to say, in order to get that type of client.
- 40:44[SPEAKER_00]: So that's huge.
- 40:45[SPEAKER_00]: Another thing that's huge to that help with is sales.
- 40:48[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of people don't have sales skills.
- 40:49[SPEAKER_00]: So it's like, a lot of people don't know how to sell product.
- 40:52[SPEAKER_00]: They can't sell product because they don't know how to do it or they feel like they're being pushedy.
- 40:56[SPEAKER_00]: So I have a lot of sales experience.
- 40:58[SPEAKER_00]: So I share that with people.
- 41:00[SPEAKER_00]: and literally I've had someone coming to class like she signed up on a Monday, once a class Tuesday, it made 2200 the next day, less than 24 hours.
- 41:08[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, also some of other mentees, 3700 in one day, all virtual clients not touching anyone.
- 41:14[SPEAKER_00]: So, yeah, as long as you you take the ball, you run like I will show you.
- 41:18[SPEAKER_02]: Wow, wow, wow, wow, wow,
- 41:20[SPEAKER_02]: And I think I commend you, I think that this is something that's needed because when you think about, again, like people who might be gone through something, people who just want that freedom to be honest with you, like to be able to move and do what they want to do, this is a business that they can do from anywhere around the world, any moment, but it also gives in that freedom to have that,
- 41:48[SPEAKER_02]: What has been the biggest lesson that you've learned as a multi-millionaire, right?
- 41:55[SPEAKER_02]: Like, Natto, you're making a lot of money, you're able to help help people coming first generation America, right?
- 42:04[SPEAKER_02]: Governor Fonda, what have you learned as a first-time multi-millionaire?
- 42:09[SPEAKER_00]: um definitely don't listen to people who don't have the money in the big guy that you want uh that's number one like stay ton of vision because even though someone does make money you know like no one knows like your purpose and what you need to do besides you like God speaks to you not other people so you have to do what you feel like is right?
- 42:29[SPEAKER_00]: Um, number two, um, higher slow fire fast.
- 42:34[SPEAKER_00]: I used to be real soft when I had a team and I kept people a little too long and that just bleeds money.
- 42:39[SPEAKER_00]: Um, so definitely that, um, and definitely systems and SOPs like that's huge.
- 42:46[SPEAKER_00]: Um, keeping everything in track because you will scale faster than you think and a lot of people are unprepared for scaling.
- 42:52[SPEAKER_00]: Um, so definitely putting everything together.
- 42:55[SPEAKER_00]: Um, and
- 42:56[SPEAKER_00]: Honestly, like just getting rid of imposter syndrome, like, you know, we're our own hardest critics.
- 43:01[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like a lot of people hide or don't really step into their purpose because they feel like they're not good enough, but we all have something to share with other people.
- 43:09[SPEAKER_00]: And I believe that we all we have our own destiny and we unlock other people's destinies, you know, with what we share.
- 43:17[SPEAKER_00]: So it's definitely super important to show face and the seven of your purpose.
- 43:30[SPEAKER_00]: So the funny part about foreign parents is like, they'll yell and scream when you're not doing the right thing, right?
- 43:36[SPEAKER_00]: But it's like, when everything's cool, you know, they don't say a word.
- 43:40[SPEAKER_00]: But that's how you know you straight.
- 43:42[SPEAKER_00]: You know, like they want to say good job.
- 43:44[SPEAKER_00]: They're just like, so when you know they quiet you cool.
- 43:47[SPEAKER_02]: You do it.
- 43:48[SPEAKER_02]: You do it.
- 43:48[SPEAKER_02]: You do it.
- 43:48[SPEAKER_02]: You do it.
- 43:49[SPEAKER_02]: You do it.
- 43:49[SPEAKER_02]: You do it.
- 43:50[SPEAKER_02]: You do it.
- 43:51[SPEAKER_02]: You do it.
- 43:51[SPEAKER_02]: You do it.
- 43:52[SPEAKER_02]: You do it.
- 43:52[SPEAKER_02]: You do it.
- 43:52[SPEAKER_02]: You do it.
- 43:52[SPEAKER_02]: What does the next level of success look like for you, right?
- 43:56[SPEAKER_02]: If we look, you know, five years down in line, you know, where is Elaine S. N. The esthetician, like the triple E, where is triple E going?
- 44:07[SPEAKER_00]: uh definitely helping as many people as I can because there's so many asceticians struggling or about to close their doors so I don't know maybe partnering with some schools and showing them like how they can do virtual as well like they don't have to just go work for somebody or work for themselves like in person because like you said earlier like a lot of people they want to spend time with their kids like
- 44:27[SPEAKER_00]: Most service providers, you know, they're at the shop all day, all weekends, you know what I mean?
- 44:31[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, you can, you can living your purpose, but not have to be a slave to it.
- 44:36[SPEAKER_00]: So, I definitely want to, you know, keep spreading the word and helping other people say their business, you know, you can still help the client and help yourself.
- 44:44[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 44:45[SPEAKER_00]: Also, like I said, get richer so I could find, you know, a sickle cell foundation, you know, get somewhere awareness, build a hospital.
- 44:51[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if you ever seen the show Supercell on Netflix.
- 44:54[SPEAKER_00]: was actually about like that's the first show I've ever seen speaking about and they had something similar like with the hospital for those types of conditions.
- 45:03[SPEAKER_00]: So definitely, yeah, just more getting back helping other people and of course scaling on my ends.
- 45:09[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 45:09[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, not, I'll get, I love it because like I said, I've had, I've had and known people who had sick of cell.
- 45:18[SPEAKER_02]: I know about, you know, the pain that they go through, but I just, you know, I just never, you know, I never had anybody explaining the way you did.
- 45:27[SPEAKER_02]: So that definitely I want to make sure, you know, that I spread awareness as much as I can, but then also, you know, just even beyond that, right?
- 45:35[SPEAKER_02]: Again,
- 45:36[SPEAKER_02]: this type of business that allows people to have freedom, allows people to, you know, do what they love to do, right?
- 45:47[SPEAKER_02]: But do it in a way that it is taxing.
- 45:50[SPEAKER_02]: And that's the other thing I wanted to mention, if you talk about purpose and I also, I believe that, I think a lot of people,
- 45:58[SPEAKER_02]: makes up passion for purpose, right?
- 46:02[SPEAKER_02]: Like you could be passionate about something and that not be your purpose of I truly believe that whatever your purpose is will actually make room for you, right?
- 46:12[SPEAKER_02]: Because when you think about how
- 46:16[SPEAKER_02]: perfect God has been to you though, right?
- 46:19[SPEAKER_02]: Like how perfect God has been to you because, you know, growing up with, you know, with, with sickle cell, knowing, right, that hey, I can't do this corporate thing.
- 46:32[SPEAKER_02]: Even if I wanted to do what I can't do it, because I'm getting fired all the time, I have to be an entrepreneur,
- 46:38[SPEAKER_02]: But even when you took the route of being an entrepreneur, it took you down a path where you had a glorified job, you still worked for the business, and then you decided to get a mentor, and that mentor led you to this business that's literally saving your life, right?
- 46:59[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 47:01[SPEAKER_02]: It comes with, like so your purpose also,
- 47:07[SPEAKER_02]: You talk a little bit about that as a business owner going from not making any money to seven figures, closing a shop, having to rebuild it back to seven figures, talk a little bit about the mindset that it takes to do that, but then the ups and downs of business, what should
- 47:33[SPEAKER_02]: know about building a business that's really important as it relates to mindset, as it relates to how they should be maneuvering if they truly want to create a successful business.
- 47:45[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so one of my favorite lines too is like it has to work or it has to work so that's like a life motto that had since I was younger right so because I didn't have a choice so so many people have options so it's like they don't really go all in but I don't have any options right so I have to Give it my all and it's like yeah I love that you brought up the obedience part because a lot of people don't step into their Purpose that God has called them to and they wonder why their life is miserable so
- 48:15[SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes you don't want to do something, right?
- 48:17[SPEAKER_00]: Like, even being a mentor, I didn't want to share my numbers.
- 48:20[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't want to talk about it, but I knew God was calling me to it.
- 48:23[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I'm a private person.
- 48:24[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, great, I have to make all this content.
- 48:26[SPEAKER_00]: I talk about this money.
- 48:27[SPEAKER_00]: I don't really want to discuss that, but I had to because if I didn't, I would be stopping other people from their purpose.
- 48:33[SPEAKER_00]: Like, a lot of people would have closed their doors.
- 48:36[SPEAKER_00]: You know, they wouldn't be able to see their family.
- 48:37[SPEAKER_00]: So it's like, if I never walked in my purpose, I wouldn't have allowed them to.
- 48:41[SPEAKER_00]: So it's like,
- 48:42[SPEAKER_00]: being obedient and like God will always reward you and you know being younger and dealing with the sickle sound like what what what is the purpose of me even being like why did God put me here to just suffer but fast-forwarding to now like I can really relate to people and I can help bring people up because I've been through it like you know and you know when people are watching this they they hear the million and the this and they think you're so successful but
- 49:06[SPEAKER_00]: Entrepreneurship is hard, but you know you have to pick your heart because it's like working corporate is hard.
- 49:11[SPEAKER_00]: You get inspired is hard, you know, running around that there's nothing in this world that's easy.
- 49:16[SPEAKER_00]: So it's like honestly like setting goals and just understanding what do you really want for yourself?
- 49:22[SPEAKER_00]: Like that's what's gonna keep you motivated because if you have no goals you have no target, you know, if you're just going day by day like you're never going to accomplish
- 49:36[SPEAKER_00]: To soon like they quit right before they're about to break the mark.
- 49:39[SPEAKER_00]: So it's like you have to keep going even when no one's supporting you You know, even when no one's clapping for you.
- 49:44[SPEAKER_00]: That's one thing.
- 49:44[SPEAKER_00]: I had to learn early.
- 49:45[SPEAKER_00]: It was like because I told you with my own parents saying clap for me So it's like I keep going with no sound like I clap for myself and I just like That is really carried me honestly like I just talked to him.
- 49:56[SPEAKER_00]: I be looking crazy walking the park just talking
- 49:58[SPEAKER_00]: That's talking to God like I have no one to talk to but him but he always puts me in a alignment like you said with the mentor she really did save my business you know other mentors that I have as well like they've been helping me grow in scale so that's huge like honestly a lot of people don't invest in mentorship because
- 50:17[SPEAKER_00]: They don't have it, but the whole purpose of mentorship is like investing into something that you don't really have now to make more later on.
- 50:24[SPEAKER_00]: So a lot of people try to DIY everything, but you're just wasting time and a lot of people who DIY and they never want to invest.
- 50:31[SPEAKER_00]: Those are the people that close their business.
- 50:33[SPEAKER_00]: but if you get everything handed to you on the silver platter like you can't feel like if you take the ball you run you're going to be successful because it's really the short cut to success because that person has already done everything you're about to do they've already made them mistakes that you're going to make so it's like why not cut to the success like if I could go back I would have got to mince our sooner as I left the set of score even while I was in it.
- 50:55[SPEAKER_00]: So highly recommend mentorship, especially like I mentioned, coming from a small town, there was no millionaires around me that I knew of, you know what I mean, maybe a few, but they're like, you know, the other race and maybe they want to talk to you.
- 51:09[SPEAKER_00]: So one thing that was huge for me is like, you know, whatever you do frequently is your frequency.
- 51:15[SPEAKER_00]: So I always tuned into podcasts, was always trying to grow my business, my
- 51:23[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I don't have any friends that are successful so just always tuning into things that are going to grow my brain like that's definitely what's helped me succeed So you can't do it by yourself like one thing my dad always says it's like even the Pope has a mentor like you don't know everything So so important to get the knowledge from other people because if you never made a million how are you gonna make a million?
- 51:46[SPEAKER_02]: We'll give you the mindset and courage to invest, right?
- 51:51[SPEAKER_02]: Because I think that's one of the biggest issues that I see people stayed in their way, right?
- 52:01[SPEAKER_02]: do all they could do themselves, they have the drive, they have the talent, they have everything, they do all they could do themselves, they hit a plateau and then they just keep trying to do the same things over and over and over again and you know a lot of people just just refuse to invest in a mentor like what gave you the thought process to say you know what?
- 52:24[SPEAKER_02]: I'm a previous person.
- 52:26[SPEAKER_00]: That's exactly how I felt, camps, and plateau, and I'm like, dang, like, you know, when you first start as entrepreneur, you you strive to hit them, tank K mark.
- 52:34[SPEAKER_00]: But then after you hit tank K for a little bit, you're like, I like, I see other people doing more.
- 52:39[SPEAKER_00]: So I felt cap, you know, I did the YouTube universe there, did everything by myself, but I kept getting stuck.
- 52:45[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm like, okay, I don't have anyone to ask about my business, my parents.
- 52:48[SPEAKER_00]: So no, my friends don't know.
- 52:49[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm like,
- 52:51[SPEAKER_00]: on cat myself is to tap in and pay someone that makes more money than me and does the same thing.
- 52:58[SPEAKER_00]: So it's like I did that.
- 52:59[SPEAKER_00]: My first mentor was a flop didn't really learn anything from her and a lot of people stopped too.
- 53:04[SPEAKER_00]: But it was a bad experience with the mentor so it can feel defeating but it's knowing that
- 53:10[SPEAKER_00]: You want more and you know that you can't have more so it's like I could have stopped there like I didn't learn anything.
- 53:16[SPEAKER_00]: I wasted my money But something my heart was like, no, there's more someone else can give it to you.
- 53:21[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, I did end up investing in another person.
- 53:23[SPEAKER_00]: I was scared.
- 53:24[SPEAKER_00]: You know, like to this day, we still make jokes.
- 53:26[SPEAKER_00]: We're cool.
- 53:27[SPEAKER_00]: Like we're friends now
- 53:28[SPEAKER_00]: And I was like, so scared to invest because I only do I know everything, but I'm like, I don't know everything, because there's other people making more than me.
- 53:33[SPEAKER_00]: So she's like, don't invest, you know, if you feel like it won't be now, it's like, now I'm not going to miss my chances.
- 53:37[SPEAKER_00]: So I invested anyway, and that's when I started hitting those 40, 50 came months.
- 53:42[SPEAKER_00]: So I always tell people, like, you know, if I never invested that 10,000, I would have cost myself $40,000 every single month for a year.
- 53:50[SPEAKER_00]: As you know, not me.
- 53:51[SPEAKER_00]: So a lot of people who are not willing to invest, they stay stuck.
- 53:54[SPEAKER_00]: you know, or they close their business, like, you know, they never reach to choose success because you're too prideful to get help.
- 54:01[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 54:01[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 54:02[SPEAKER_02]: Man, I'm convinced though that entrepreneurs are crazy.
- 54:08[SPEAKER_02]: Not because I'm convinced that entrepreneurs are crazy, entrepreneurs are delusional.
- 54:14[SPEAKER_02]: You're telling me a first generation American parents from Ghana, Africa comes here with this rare disease that no one really cares about because it only affects black and brown people decides to not take the safe route
- 54:37[SPEAKER_02]: Um, decides to become an entrepreneur, build a business up to seven figures, uh, realize that, you know, that, that she's trapped in that business.
- 54:47[SPEAKER_02]: So decides to close that business.
- 54:50[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, and, and, and use this $10,000 to invest in herself, right?
- 54:56[SPEAKER_02]: Never.
- 54:57[SPEAKER_02]: You know, just kind of had this thought process, this crazy idea to spend $10,000 on a mentor, the mentor now helps you help her get create a business, and all the while she's going through this excruciating pain days, sometimes months at a time.
- 55:20[SPEAKER_02]: And still, and still believes, right, that, hey, I'm going to continue to just get rich.
- 55:26[SPEAKER_02]: That sounds like delusion to me.
- 55:29[SPEAKER_02]: But I'll take that to losing any day, right?
- 55:32[SPEAKER_02]: If somebody wanted to be part of your program, they wanted to connect with you, where's the best way they can be fun.
- 55:39[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so you can find me on Instagram, Elaine Sien, ELA, I-N-E-E-S-S-I-E-N, so I do a class every day, and I teach people how they can go into virtual aesthetics, so you can tap in with me there.
- 55:55[SPEAKER_00]: Um, yeah, and I also have a Yosemite level.
- 55:58[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, there's male esthetic, I did not have that many, but you know, they could do it too.
- 56:02[SPEAKER_00]: I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine
- 56:28[SPEAKER_00]: because you'll be slave in a way and your treatment for a minute trying to make that.
- 56:33[SPEAKER_02]: And audience is there.
- 56:35[SPEAKER_02]: So here's the other thing that I want to say though about that is
- 56:43[SPEAKER_02]: they'll always be an audience for you, right?
- 56:46[SPEAKER_02]: Can you talk a little bit?
- 56:46[SPEAKER_02]: I have actually stats now go over.
- 56:49[SPEAKER_02]: But can you talk about that, right?
- 56:50[SPEAKER_02]: Because I think a lot of times also, and this is why I love what you said earlier, about people make decisions with their pockets.
- 57:00[SPEAKER_02]: Yo, I'm telling you, that's a gem, y'all, if, like, stop doing that.
- 57:05[SPEAKER_02]: Right?
- 57:06[SPEAKER_02]: Because a lot of times people will say like just because you wouldn't do it doesn't mean there aren't people out there doing it.
- 57:15[SPEAKER_02]: And there's somebody right now who's like looking at the economy and they're saying on the economy is messed up, you know, thousands of people are losing jobs and things in that nature.
- 57:27[SPEAKER_02]: And so why would somebody spend money on
- 57:30[SPEAKER_02]: beauty, right?
- 57:32[SPEAKER_02]: If that's the case, but that's you, like that's you.
- 57:36[SPEAKER_02]: That's what you would do, right?
- 57:39[SPEAKER_02]: Talk about that, like the plethora of clientele available for what you do.
- 57:46[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, personal care services is always going to be their member COVID.
- 57:50[SPEAKER_00]: People is going to jail because people want their cut and they're doing it in their home.
- 57:54[SPEAKER_00]: You know, and that wasn't allowed because six feet.
- 57:57[SPEAKER_00]: So it's like, look at COVID.
- 57:58[SPEAKER_00]: People still want to their services.
- 58:00[SPEAKER_00]: They were begging there while in the pay extra to come to people's houses.
- 58:03[SPEAKER_00]: to take their skin, get their skin down, they're hair down, whatever nails.
- 58:07[SPEAKER_00]: So it's like, for the aesthetics industry, that's like a million dollar billion, almost going to be a billion dollar business.
- 58:13[SPEAKER_00]: So it's like, there's tons of money to make.
- 58:15[SPEAKER_00]: And as mentioned earlier, if you go virtual, it's on cap time much money you can make.
- 58:20[SPEAKER_00]: If you live in a small town, you're only going to make so much money.
- 58:23[SPEAKER_00]: So it's like,
- 58:23[SPEAKER_00]: Definitely go into it.
- 58:25[SPEAKER_00]: You have to post online anyway to get clients.
- 58:28[SPEAKER_00]: So you might as well just do a virtual consultation You can do it from anywhere.
- 58:31[SPEAKER_00]: You can do on a trip on a beach anywhere in the world.
- 58:34[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and the one thing I'll say because I remember you know I mean I like my background.
- 58:38[SPEAKER_02]: I was a banker And I had affluent clients that I that I worked with the one thing I'll say is that premium like premium clients those who are affluent
- 58:50[SPEAKER_02]: Um, they think in abundance, right?
- 58:52[SPEAKER_02]: So abundance is your birthright.
- 58:53[SPEAKER_02]: They think in abundance.
- 58:54[SPEAKER_02]: Um, and so, uh, a bad, um, I don't what I say.
- 58:59[SPEAKER_02]: Like, uh, a bad economy doesn't affect an affluent people, right?
- 59:04[SPEAKER_02]: In fact, uh, the only people who care about a bad economy, and we talked earlier about the 1%.
- 59:10[SPEAKER_02]: The only people who care about a bad economy are those who are middle, middle income, right?
- 59:16[SPEAKER_02]: And not even the poor people, right?
- 59:19[SPEAKER_02]: if you are poor or affluent, a bad economy is not going to affect you because a poor person is poor already, right?
- 59:28[SPEAKER_02]: Then they don't, if they live below the poverty line, let's just say, the economy doesn't matter because they're poor already.
- 59:37[SPEAKER_02]: So the only way they could go is up.
- 59:39[SPEAKER_02]: So that person doesn't matter.
- 59:40[SPEAKER_02]: The economy doesn't matter that person.
- 59:42[SPEAKER_02]: when you look at someone who's affluent about a kind of hasn't mattered to them either because they're they've they've they have so much money that even you know it's it's going to take years before they you know it would even even affect them and the truth of the matter is most affluent people invest their money anyway and so regardless of an economy they know how to make money.
- 1:00:06[SPEAKER_02]: right so they know how to make money in a good economy they know how to make money in a bad economy and so affluent person doesn't care about the economy either.
- 1:00:14[SPEAKER_02]: It's really like the people in the middle who works for jobs who go pay take the paycheck the the the six-figure track like all makes six figures and you think you cool with no
- 1:00:25[SPEAKER_02]: You are that person that if the account like you're, you know, one crisis away, one, you know, you know, you know, you know, paycheck away from destruction, right, and then those are the people that that that care about sort of true for the matter is that if you are in that space, which is the majority of people might be watching here.
- 1:00:45[SPEAKER_02]: Um, you should be thinking about going into, to this type of business that focuses on the affluent who are not going, like they don't really, uh, they're really not going to be affected by, by the economy and there are, uh, enough of those people who out there, like, like, like, I mean, I'm, you know,
- 1:01:05[SPEAKER_02]: Thank God that, you know, I'm not part of a, you know, a space where when things go bad, I cut back, but I'm like, I don't have a ball hand and I go, I go to my barber, I don't care what's going on.
- 1:01:16[SPEAKER_02]: I go to my barber every week.
- 1:01:18[SPEAKER_02]: I listen.
- 1:01:18[SPEAKER_02]: I need your shape.
- 1:01:19[SPEAKER_02]: There's up, right?
- 1:01:20[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm a good tip of if you watch it, you know, I said, so if I tell you what I pay,
- 1:01:27[SPEAKER_02]: As a ball guy, when I pay a month for, for, for, for, for care, it kind of, you know, kind of give you that, um, idea of how, uh, this is a business that's not going anywhere.
- 1:01:39[SPEAKER_02]: Um, and later I had a pleasure.
- 1:01:40[SPEAKER_02]: It was a pleasure, you know, connecting with you talking to you.
- 1:01:44[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, I love your story.
- 1:01:45[SPEAKER_02]: I love what you're doing.
- 1:01:47[SPEAKER_02]: Um,
- 1:01:47[SPEAKER_02]: I definitely want people to tap into what you got going on, so I'm going to drop the link in the description.
- 1:01:54[SPEAKER_02]: So Yaka, Yaka, check out her class because I think that's important to create a recession proof type of business that regardless of what's going on, you can make some money.
- 1:02:06[SPEAKER_02]: But even during a good economy,
- 1:02:10[SPEAKER_02]: Let's kill the grind culture, right?
- 1:02:12[SPEAKER_02]: Let's kill the culture that says that we got to work hard for money because the truth is it's about changing your relationship with money.
- 1:02:21[SPEAKER_02]: Money should be working hard for you.
- 1:02:23[SPEAKER_02]: You should be working hard for it.
- 1:02:25[SPEAKER_02]: Again, tell the people, where can they find you?
- 1:02:27[SPEAKER_02]: Where can they connect with you?
