- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous Podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, Hello everyone, and welcome to a very
- 0:09Speaker 2: special episode of the Almost Famous Podcast. It is our
- 0:13Speaker 2: Hyundai episode with everyone and what I mean everyone, I
- 0:16Speaker 2: mean like our new leads of the show. Okay, we
- 0:20Speaker 2: got Rachel, Gabby, Zach and Katie all sitting around the room,
- 0:24Speaker 2: and I know, like people are excited for us to
- 0:27Speaker 2: dig in about the fact that there's a few of
- 0:29Speaker 2: you sitting on the same couch.
- 0:32Speaker 3: Together and being smiley and great and all that.
- 0:36Speaker 2: I think we're going to talk about that in other
- 0:38Speaker 2: podcast episodes though, yeah, not when we're here.
- 0:41Speaker 3: Just separate, yeah, like more like therapy sessions. Yeah they
- 0:45Speaker 3: either way.
- 0:47Speaker 4: I feel like you like to come around the Almost
- 0:48Speaker 4: Famous Podcast and just try to get yourself in the
- 0:51Speaker 4: most awkward like moments and you just never get awkward.
- 0:55Speaker 5: I feel like you come out of them like shiny.
- 0:59Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 0:59Speaker 5: Some people with crawl into a ball.
- 1:01Speaker 3: You just I feel for context.
- 1:03Speaker 2: We had Clayton with her at the last one, and
- 1:06Speaker 2: everybody was like, was a tongue lagging because you guys
- 1:09Speaker 2: seem to be getting along quite well.
- 1:11Speaker 3: You guys need to stop that though she does great,
- 1:15Speaker 3: but let's prevent the problem. So we started all that.
- 1:21Speaker 5: There's not that many people left. We could really from
- 1:23Speaker 5: the show.
- 1:23Speaker 6: I know, I'm like, we need all the ex's.
- 1:25Speaker 2: Well we need to hear that.
- 1:29Speaker 4: That's a good point. Well, we road tripped here the
- 1:31Speaker 4: twenty twenty three Hunday two Soon plug in Hybrid. We're
- 1:35Speaker 4: in Santa Barbara right now. We drove from LA It
- 1:38Speaker 4: was an incredible trip. We drove down to.
- 1:40Speaker 5: Hang out with everybody go to the breat Young show.
- 1:42Speaker 7: Uh.
- 1:43Speaker 5: The concert was really really fun. In the road trip
- 1:46Speaker 5: was awesome.
- 1:47Speaker 3: It was really awesome. Great ride. And the twenty twenty
- 1:50Speaker 3: three Hyundai Tucson A plug in Hybrid. I love that car.
- 1:54Speaker 3: It's so easy to drive. We kept saying, did you
- 1:56Speaker 3: guys take the PC?
- 1:57Speaker 8: How do you get to Santa Ybe?
- 1:58Speaker 2: Yeah? We took the pH which I haven't done in
- 2:01Speaker 2: a while but have done before and Ben has only
- 2:03Speaker 2: taken the PCH before in like an old school convertible
- 2:07Speaker 2: for the baor.
- 2:08Speaker 5: My intro week.
- 2:09Speaker 4: We got like a old Mustang and drove down the
- 2:12Speaker 4: pH And I told Ashley yesterdays like, I was so
- 2:15Speaker 4: nervous that I don't remember that drive, because like you're
- 2:18Speaker 4: in this.
- 2:21Speaker 5: Ing alongside of you.
- 2:22Speaker 4: It was so so scary. Okay, So Zach and Katy
- 2:27Speaker 4: are in here as well. Thanks for joining us. We
- 2:30Speaker 4: got to hang out yesterday a little bit in l A.
- 2:34Speaker 4: And then you came up to Santa Barbara as well yesterday.
- 2:36Speaker 4: How's the trip been so far?
- 2:38Speaker 9: Oh my god, it's been a blast, Bright young Yeah,
- 2:43Speaker 9: Katie like might leave me for him, but it's okay.
- 2:48Speaker 5: You know, Zach, we know we can offer and he
- 2:50Speaker 5: sings and I'm screwed. I can't compete with it. It's
- 2:56Speaker 5: all right.
- 2:57Speaker 4: But we did get to catch up with the two
- 2:58Speaker 4: of you. You guys are and doing great. Elephant in
- 3:01Speaker 4: the room. Is it great being together? I saw you
- 3:04Speaker 4: guys staying outside. Is the first Is this the first
- 3:06Speaker 4: time you've seen each other since the show?
- 3:09Speaker 5: How is the.
- 3:11Speaker 10: Yeah?
- 3:12Speaker 11: Yeah?
- 3:12Speaker 9: Yeah, first time we've ever like talked or seen each other.
- 3:15Speaker 5: Yeah. Yeah.
- 3:16Speaker 4: And one thing that happened Ashley during our interview, and
- 3:19Speaker 4: I thought it was really impressive.
- 3:21Speaker 5: Zach and Katy are both talking about it.
- 3:23Speaker 4: You know, Katie stayed friends with a lot of the
- 3:25Speaker 4: people from Zach's season, and I just asked Zach, is
- 3:28Speaker 4: that awkward for you because I don't know about you
- 3:31Speaker 4: guys as leads. There was no like ill will towards anybody.
- 3:35Speaker 4: It was just like I would rather not run into
- 3:38Speaker 4: you randomly, Like that's just not a thing I would
- 3:40Speaker 4: love to do. But you said, Zach, you enjoy it,
- 3:44Speaker 4: like you're good with everybody, and if they were, if
- 3:47Speaker 4: all the girls came to Austin and hung out, you
- 3:50Speaker 4: would be fine with it.
- 3:51Speaker 9: Yeah, I'd be fine with it. It's like an interesting
- 3:53Speaker 9: position to be and like, regardless of it might be
- 3:55Speaker 9: like maybe awkward here and there, but as a whole,
- 3:58Speaker 9: it's they're Katie's friends and they love her, she loves them,
- 4:01Speaker 9: and it's just about like not making it weird. We're
- 4:04Speaker 9: just all friends now.
- 4:05Speaker 3: No, Okay, well, girls from your season, have you one thing?
- 4:08Speaker 2: But how much was the dread going into seeing each
- 4:13Speaker 2: other here?
- 4:15Speaker 8: I don't think there's any dread.
- 4:16Speaker 3: Well, I didn't know your luck didn't.
- 4:18Speaker 11: No, No, obviously, I just was like excited to like
- 4:22Speaker 11: see him in person because I feel like it's always
- 4:24Speaker 11: nice to be able to like have that conversation after
- 4:27Speaker 11: like I did last time with Clayton, And yeah, it.
- 4:31Speaker 7: Makes I will say that, Like, we talked about it
- 4:34Speaker 7: a little bit and I'm like, oh, it's like gonna
- 4:37Speaker 7: be fine, you know what I mean. But then I
- 4:38Speaker 7: was like, oh my god, what if Johnny was there
- 4:40Speaker 7: with his so I was like, now putting myself in
- 4:43Speaker 7: your shoes, I think I would have been like severely anxious.
- 4:47Speaker 7: But like you guys are this is all so great.
- 4:49Speaker 7: We're all just like best buds. Backstage at Brett Young
- 4:52Speaker 7: for reading the lyrics off the screen.
- 4:56Speaker 3: Yeah, so he needed to have the lyrics up there.
- 4:58Speaker 12: A lot of artists do that.
- 5:00Speaker 8: Yeah, thank god. Is that for us? Is that for me?
- 5:02Speaker 2: No? No, No, that's for him in case he forgets the lyric.
- 5:06Speaker 7: I was saying, it's for me a.
- 5:12Speaker 5: Little life lesson.
- 5:13Speaker 4: Then for anybody listening, if you have somebody in your
- 5:17Speaker 4: life that you're just feeling even a tad bit awkward
- 5:20Speaker 4: to be around because of something life happened, Like something
- 5:23Speaker 4: in life has happened, do you find it healthy to
- 5:27Speaker 4: confront it, to move on from it and heal from it?
- 5:32Speaker 4: Like has this been a good practice? Because this world
- 5:34Speaker 4: throws you into very awkward situations all the time, Like
- 5:38Speaker 4: you're gonna see people from your season, You're gonna see
- 5:40Speaker 4: people that you used to date on television.
- 5:43Speaker 12: And on Instagram on Instagram like non stop.
- 5:46Speaker 4: I feel like out of everything, I've had to get
- 5:48Speaker 4: really cut running it news stories.
- 5:52Speaker 7: Oh oh yeah, I see. I'm like, I just mute everybody,
- 5:57Speaker 7: but you do mute?
- 5:59Speaker 12: Yeah, but how do you?
- 6:02Speaker 3: But how do you like ignore.
- 6:04Speaker 12: The news stuff?
- 6:05Speaker 8: I like him not in the loop, Rachel knows.
- 6:08Speaker 7: I'm yeah, she's She's my news source, which I do appreciate.
- 6:13Speaker 7: But no, I get what you're saying, Ben. I think,
- 6:16Speaker 7: like Bachelor Nation is, it's specific to this, so at
- 6:20Speaker 7: some point you do kind of have to face it.
- 6:22Speaker 7: But also, like I think whatever feels right. I'm also
- 6:26Speaker 7: down with like suppressing any feelings you have until you
- 6:29Speaker 7: have to face them, because it's like whatever, what else
- 6:32Speaker 7: are we gonna do?
- 6:35Speaker 2: You know?
- 6:36Speaker 7: But yeah, no, I think like this is great, Like
- 6:38Speaker 7: you finally just like get the gumption to be like, hey,
- 6:41Speaker 7: like good to see yuh.
- 6:43Speaker 4: Well again, we're here in Santa Barbara thinks of the
- 6:46Speaker 4: Hyundai Tucson that Ashley and I drove from Los Angeles
- 6:51Speaker 4: to Santa Barbara to hang out with everybody. We're very
- 6:53Speaker 4: glad we did, Ashley, Uh, it's time for you to
- 6:58Speaker 4: do one of the things you best at. So here's
- 7:02Speaker 4: how the game is gonna work. Ashley is gonna throw
- 7:04Speaker 4: out a bunch of questions that she's came up with.
- 7:08Speaker 4: I believe Ashley, how do you want this plane out?
- 7:10Speaker 5: They just answer for themselves, no, no, no.
- 7:15Speaker 2: This is a group event where it's like they if
- 7:18Speaker 2: they feel like it applies to them, they'll say that's me,
- 7:22Speaker 2: or they could point at each other and be like,
- 7:23Speaker 2: that's not me, that's her.
- 7:24Speaker 5: Okay, that's that's Zach, Ashley, take it away.
- 7:28Speaker 2: Okay, who's the bunch here? Is most likely to forget
- 7:34Speaker 2: to text back me?
- 7:36Speaker 12: Yeah? I thought so, and I don't even really know.
- 7:42Speaker 1: You.
- 7:42Speaker 2: Yeah yeah. Like's make it a couple's game, but since
- 7:46Speaker 2: there's a little bit of a disconnect, okay, definitely a
- 7:49Speaker 2: couple and then YouTube.
- 7:50Speaker 3: Okay, so Gabby of the two of you is definitely.
- 7:53Speaker 2: Least likely to text back, and then okay, I'll.
- 7:59Speaker 7: Text back like three to five days later though like nothing. Yeah,
- 8:03Speaker 7: I'm like, hey, I'm back, yeah yeah, yeah. I'm pretty
- 8:07Speaker 7: good at responding, just like not in a timely manner.
- 8:10Speaker 7: I have business hours so from like ten to four,
- 8:16Speaker 7: those are my visits, our six hour day.
- 8:18Speaker 3: But yeah, so it's fine. So you know, I like,
- 8:22Speaker 3: I like to get on my computer and textbock.
- 8:26Speaker 5: What happens from four to nine thirty.
- 8:30Speaker 7: I'm like doing stuff like playing with my dog, cooking dinner.
- 8:33Speaker 7: I can't like text and cook dinner at the same
- 8:35Speaker 7: time because then you're like not in it. Then I
- 8:37Speaker 7: put a show on and then I retired to the
- 8:39Speaker 7: bedroom at like eight pm.
- 8:41Speaker 8: You, yeah, I do like like my evenings.
- 8:44Speaker 2: So you're a TV show in the bedroom person versus
- 8:47Speaker 2: the couch person.
- 8:48Speaker 8: I am in the couch or a laptop in the bed.
- 8:50Speaker 12: Okay, yeah, yeah what about you guys?
- 8:53Speaker 3: Do you where do you watch TV?
- 8:55Speaker 9: We're a TV in bad and you're a sleep twenty
- 8:58Speaker 9: minutes now.
- 9:03Speaker 4: So we talked about this is the best part of
- 9:04Speaker 4: marriage is you have nothing else to do other than
- 9:07Speaker 4: hang out with your spouse and go to bed at
- 9:09Speaker 4: a ridiculously early hour and you're not missing out anything.
- 9:12Speaker 9: We had a Friday where we were in bed by
- 9:14Speaker 9: like seven forty five. Oh, it's a crazy day, but
- 9:18Speaker 9: remember that day that was awesome. Ordered Wings had him
- 9:21Speaker 9: in bed.
- 9:22Speaker 8: My god, I love that I love to eat in bed.
- 9:24Speaker 8: It's a guilty pleasure.
- 9:28Speaker 3: Okay, the two of you, who's most likely to, Oh
- 9:33Speaker 3: my god, this is too obvious.
- 9:34Speaker 12: I'm gonna even.
- 9:35Speaker 2: I all ask it out loud, just because I already
- 9:37Speaker 2: said it's obvious to well, spill the secret.
- 9:41Speaker 3: Spill a secret. We're booked.
- 9:44Speaker 2: Yeah, I thought Gabby was gonna Gab a.
- 9:49Speaker 3: Good secret keeper.
- 9:50Speaker 8: But I also do a heavy amount of gossip.
- 9:55Speaker 6: So she told me something or I told her something like.
- 9:59Speaker 8: I feel like it depends on who the gossip is about.
- 10:02Speaker 3: If it's like, if it's like.
- 10:03Speaker 7: Gone down the line already, I'll tell everyone that I'll
- 10:06Speaker 7: listen because it like can't be traced back to me,
- 10:08Speaker 7: but if I'm the primary source, will not be like
- 10:11Speaker 7: speaking a word.
- 10:12Speaker 5: Did you do this?
- 10:13Speaker 12: It's a cultural thing.
- 10:16Speaker 5: It's a skill.
- 10:27Speaker 4: I remember Gabby when Rachel because this is the first
- 10:29Speaker 4: time you've been able to join us, but when Rachel's
- 10:31Speaker 4: first trip with us, and she was talking about how
- 10:34Speaker 4: supportive you are and how she can tell you everything.
- 10:37Speaker 4: So I remember that clearly because I was like, how
- 10:39Speaker 4: cool is it to be doing this experience with somebody
- 10:42Speaker 4: that you trust?
- 10:44Speaker 5: And so yeah, I had no doubt that you can
- 10:47Speaker 5: keep a secret.
- 10:48Speaker 6: Thank you.
- 10:49Speaker 12: It really was.
- 10:49Speaker 7: We always say it's the best thing to ever happen
- 10:51Speaker 7: to us is to have two leads. Like you know,
- 10:54Speaker 7: we still get questions like, oh, like, what do you
- 10:56Speaker 7: just wish it was by yourself?
- 10:58Speaker 8: Is absolutely not? Like there literally no way.
- 11:01Speaker 5: Okay between the two of you, who'll spill the beans?
- 11:06Speaker 10: Mm hmmm.
- 11:11Speaker 9: You're very private in.
- 11:12Speaker 13: General, son, I'm a very private person. Yeah, no, I
- 11:18Speaker 13: not not me.
- 11:20Speaker 9: No, I think.
- 11:22Speaker 13: Be like if it can't get traced back to me,
- 11:26Speaker 13: but no, like if somebody tells me something in confidence,
- 11:29Speaker 13: there's no way I'm telling somebody.
- 11:32Speaker 12: Not even Zach.
- 11:33Speaker 2: So do you guys think that like the secrets apply
- 11:35Speaker 2: to the couple? Dum?
- 11:38Speaker 12: You do share this.
- 11:39Speaker 9: Person between us for sure that we wouldn't say that.
- 11:41Speaker 2: Like you would like if your best friend told you something,
- 11:44Speaker 2: you tell Zach because it's kind of like you're one
- 11:46Speaker 2: and the same person.
- 11:47Speaker 3: That's how I kind of think of it.
- 11:48Speaker 13: My best friends and I like if it's a secret
- 11:52Speaker 13: and they're like, hey, I don't want you to tell
- 11:54Speaker 13: this person yet, because if it's like in an engagement
- 11:58Speaker 13: or something, you don't want the other I'll keep it
- 12:00Speaker 13: a secret.
- 12:02Speaker 12: But yeah, no, it definitely makes sense.
- 12:06Speaker 13: Like if my best friend doesn't want me to say
- 12:07Speaker 13: anything to anyone, then I'm not going to.
- 12:10Speaker 9: Yeah, worst for me if there's something between me and
- 12:12Speaker 9: my boys, I'm like, babe, you got to hear.
- 12:16Speaker 5: Like what the hell?
- 12:18Speaker 2: Almost like it's applied that, like the spouse are like,
- 12:20Speaker 2: you know, engaged partner might be like exempt to this.
- 12:25Speaker 12: You know they're they're they're in it.
- 12:26Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, I have a question.
- 12:29Speaker 4: This is mostly because it would be a weird question
- 12:32Speaker 4: for the two of you, mostly for Gabby and Rachel.
- 12:35Speaker 4: Who is most likely to have kids first you?
- 12:40Speaker 12: Rachel's very motherly.
- 12:42Speaker 3: Yeah, I really want to know.
- 12:44Speaker 2: I'm not Gabby, but you know, like she's like radiots,
- 12:46Speaker 2: like thank you, like care take your ribes.
- 12:49Speaker 12: Yeah, oh my.
- 12:50Speaker 6: Gosh, that's such a be like such a fun cool mom.
- 12:53Speaker 6: I better be girls.
- 13:00Speaker 11: Yeah really you're like I do feel motherly. I take
- 13:03Speaker 11: care of Genevieve like all the time.
- 13:05Speaker 3: So yeah, me, who wants kids between you to most soon?
- 13:13Speaker 9: Like it's both like an actually conversation that we want,
- 13:18Speaker 9: like we don't have like a specific year, yeah, or
- 13:21Speaker 9: we want to obviously after the wedding. Yeah, no, no
- 13:24Speaker 9: baby bombs at the wedding. Yeah, but I mean just
- 13:30Speaker 9: don't want to put that out there, but you know,
- 13:33Speaker 9: around the time right after the wedding, which we hopefully
- 13:36Speaker 9: want to do in twenty twenty five.
- 13:37Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, okay, okay, so you guys will be together
- 13:40Speaker 2: for quite some time though before then.
- 13:41Speaker 3: That's good.
- 13:42Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 13:42Speaker 12: Yeah, I was gonna say, like.
- 13:43Speaker 2: You want to definitely have your togetherness before somebody comes in.
- 13:47Speaker 6: We want to travel, et cetera.
- 13:49Speaker 9: Exactly.
- 13:50Speaker 4: Yeah, here's a question. I just have added curiosity for
- 13:53Speaker 4: everybody in the room. Everybody in this room has been
- 13:55Speaker 4: on television. I always say, when it comes to this show,
- 13:59Speaker 4: there is not like a you know, all of you
- 14:01Speaker 4: have big personalities because you're great on TV. But you
- 14:04Speaker 4: know sometimes TV never comes back to you. Do you
- 14:07Speaker 4: miss it? Would you go back on television if it
- 14:11Speaker 4: was offered to you? Is this something you still think about?
- 14:14Speaker 10: Yes?
- 14:22Speaker 7: Yes, it brings out I didn't inside of you in
- 14:25Speaker 7: like the best way.
- 14:26Speaker 3: I always say, it's like the best literally.
- 14:29Speaker 12: A I don't know why that comes out.
- 14:32Speaker 8: Yeah, and you're like, oh my god, I love it.
- 14:34Speaker 8: I'm not gonna lie.
- 14:35Speaker 7: I didn't know honestly until yeah, until like after because
- 14:39Speaker 7: I had never been on camera before. But even like
- 14:41Speaker 7: being in whatever the mansion, seeing cameras for the first time,
- 14:45Speaker 7: they never made me anxious. I know some people visualize
- 14:49Speaker 7: the camera and they're like, ah, but I'm like, I
- 14:55Speaker 7: just have nothing to hi.
- 14:56Speaker 3: It's like as a person.
- 15:00Speaker 6: I think you.
- 15:03Speaker 8: Just because I love it so much.
- 15:05Speaker 12: Would you ever feel like love is blind?
- 15:07Speaker 2: Like I think that's the most No, actually married at
- 15:09Speaker 2: first sight?
- 15:11Speaker 7: Yeah, the most insane, but also.
- 15:14Speaker 12: You know, if you get to a certain point, I understand.
- 15:18Speaker 7: Right, it's like the dating thing, Like I would dabble
- 15:20Speaker 7: in other reality TV, but I.
- 15:21Speaker 8: Think I'm like maxed on dating TV because I feel
- 15:24Speaker 8: like Bachelor.
- 15:24Speaker 7: Is the best, like the travel, you whatever. When you're
- 15:29Speaker 7: on a Bachelor season, you have girlfriends because you're like
- 15:32Speaker 7: kind of castmates, like.
- 15:33Speaker 8: When we were leads.
- 15:35Speaker 12: They treat you.
- 15:36Speaker 7: So well, Like literally, I would do it again and
- 15:38Speaker 7: again and again just for the accommodations.
- 15:42Speaker 3: Okay, Rachel, what's your take.
- 15:46Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 15:46Speaker 11: If it has to depend, I wouldn't ever say no,
- 15:49Speaker 11: but I definitely do want to get back to my
- 15:52Speaker 11: work eventually, Like this has been amazing and so life changing.
- 15:55Speaker 6: So it would just have to really depend on what
- 15:57Speaker 6: it was.
- 15:58Speaker 4: I feel like you to mirror Ashley and myself, where
- 16:02Speaker 4: Rachel like I could do it and like I want
- 16:04Speaker 4: to say no to it.
- 16:05Speaker 5: Same feeling for me.
- 16:07Speaker 4: There's moments where I've missed, like the lights and doing
- 16:12Speaker 4: something that just feels cool. Ashley is like I would
- 16:16Speaker 4: do it in a second, Like I miss it. I
- 16:18Speaker 4: made for it, I'm great on it. But for me,
- 16:20Speaker 4: I could take it or leave it. Most of the
- 16:22Speaker 4: time in my life, I always was very nervous on camp,
- 16:27Speaker 4: like very anxious, which I did not feel like my
- 16:31Speaker 4: best self like shine through.
- 16:32Speaker 5: What about the view?
- 16:33Speaker 9: Well, I was gonna say, I'm very similar with you,
- 16:35Speaker 9: Like I got anxious all the time. Yea, even at
- 16:37Speaker 9: the end sure got easier, but it's still like in
- 16:40Speaker 9: the back of your mind, but looking back at it,
- 16:43Speaker 9: like it's an exciting feeling to be in that, like space.
- 16:47Speaker 9: Do I want to do it again? I'm in no
- 16:49Speaker 9: rush by any means ever. Yeah, no, Like like to
- 16:53Speaker 9: see a camera, like to see a camera, to see
- 16:56Speaker 9: a camera, but like Katie knows that like what I'd
- 16:59Speaker 9: like to do, like additional uh, you know, my normal
- 17:03Speaker 9: work is like voiceover, which doesn't require like cameras or anything.
- 17:06Speaker 9: I want to use like my voice.
- 17:09Speaker 10: Yeah, thank you, thank you, Katie.
- 17:20Speaker 13: Yeah, no, I'm okay not to be on TV again.
- 17:23Speaker 5: Katie. Were you nervous on television when the cameras are around?
- 17:27Speaker 2: Yeah, you said comfortable, seem very I think about the
- 17:31Speaker 2: one moment that you guys were like having the serious
- 17:33Speaker 2: conversation in the forest that was, but she like doesn't
- 17:37Speaker 2: care that their cameras around.
- 17:38Speaker 5: I felt like, no, I did.
- 17:42Speaker 13: It was not a good moment all for me. But no,
- 17:47Speaker 13: I was quite uncomfortable in front of a camera. I
- 17:50Speaker 13: think you get used to it, but it still is
- 17:53Speaker 13: a little uncomfortable for We had to.
- 17:55Speaker 4: Sit down with Zach and Katie and they deep dived
- 17:59Speaker 4: into that moment, and Katie was making me laugh because
- 18:02Speaker 4: she was explaining like they're literally in a swamp and
- 18:04Speaker 4: it's raining and he's telling her this and she's like,
- 18:08Speaker 4: this is my worst.
- 18:10Speaker 5: Nightmare is.
- 18:12Speaker 3: And I'm like really comfortable.
- 18:15Speaker 2: Specifically, No, obviously you didn't seem comfortable that the moment.
- 18:19Speaker 2: I'm just saying that you handled yourself so beautifully and yeah,
- 18:23Speaker 2: so that like it seemed as if like you're like,
- 18:25Speaker 2: I don't care whether who says this.
- 18:27Speaker 4: Yeah, listener should go back and listen to it, because
- 18:29Speaker 4: it was like, I don't know, I'm look into that.
- 18:31Speaker 2: Maybe it doesn't make sense that I'm saying that. I
- 18:33Speaker 2: don't know, I just poised. I think that's what I'm thinking.
- 18:36Speaker 12: Like, you're so good on TV that thank you appreciate that. Yeah.
- 18:42Speaker 4: Do you think any of that has to do with
- 18:43Speaker 4: the fact that you were in love and so there's
- 18:46Speaker 4: like a comfort because TV was just kind of the
- 18:50Speaker 4: thing that had to get you to the end.
- 18:52Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 18:53Speaker 12: That's a good question.
- 18:54Speaker 13: I I don't know how to answer that.
- 18:58Speaker 2: Also, you just don't really know what you're situation would
- 19:00Speaker 2: have been like without TV, you know, like that's just
- 19:03Speaker 2: how you met.
- 19:04Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 19:05Speaker 2: Yeah, I want to go around the circle now and
- 19:18Speaker 2: ask about what the biggest misconception and misunderstanding something that
- 19:23Speaker 2: would surprise.
- 19:23Speaker 12: People about you would be for each of you.
- 19:27Speaker 2: We can start with Katie, because honestly, Katie, I don't
- 19:29Speaker 2: really know if there's any misconceptions. She just seem like
- 19:31Speaker 2: a sweet, wonderful, wholesome person.
- 19:34Speaker 13: I don't know.
- 19:36Speaker 12: I mean when I say that, I mean on TV,
- 19:37Speaker 12: like that's your like m O.
- 19:39Speaker 2: I just think that, like everybody just thinks that, like,
- 19:41Speaker 2: oh Katie, she really much was pretty perfect.
- 19:44Speaker 13: No, not a perfect person at all. But I don't
- 19:47Speaker 13: know what hard.
- 19:49Speaker 7: To answer it yourself, Like, hey, why don't you do
- 19:52Speaker 7: it for the couples?
- 19:53Speaker 5: So swap it?
- 19:54Speaker 12: So Zach, is there anything about.
- 19:56Speaker 2: Katy thinking about Katie that would like surprise people to
- 19:59Speaker 2: know that, like is a little bit out of characters
- 20:01Speaker 2: to what we saw on TV.
- 20:02Speaker 12: I'm very independent person. I don't think that was really
- 20:05Speaker 12: shown on TV.
- 20:07Speaker 9: Yeah, i'd agree, like what you know, you're used to
- 20:10Speaker 9: like she likes to do everything on her own, and
- 20:12Speaker 9: I'm someone that like wants to help as much as
- 20:14Speaker 9: I can and try to fit my way in if possible.
- 20:17Speaker 9: And it's something like we work on and stuff. But
- 20:19Speaker 9: she's very independent. She's just used to that.
- 20:23Speaker 12: Okay, So then Katie, what about Zach?
- 20:27Speaker 6: Very organized?
- 20:30Speaker 7: The misconceptions I don't know.
- 20:33Speaker 3: So you're unorganized.
- 20:34Speaker 13: Something that like was shown on TV that you were not,
- 20:38Speaker 13: or that the suitcase.
- 20:41Speaker 3: Like check out these packing cubes.
- 20:45Speaker 13: I don't know. I don't know miscins, I don't know.
- 20:48Speaker 3: I could answer, zachs I could almost I would okay.
- 20:50Speaker 4: I would say, like similar to me, the like a
- 20:56Speaker 4: sense of humor or, like a joy, Like I can
- 21:00Speaker 4: laugh and I can converse, Like it doesn't get shown
- 21:02Speaker 4: well on television when you are a little more anxious
- 21:04Speaker 4: and you are a little more serious. TV doesn't always
- 21:07Speaker 4: display that. But outside of that, like you have like
- 21:11Speaker 4: a great sense of humor and like you're really funny
- 21:14Speaker 4: and you're a great conversationalists.
- 21:15Speaker 5: But like same with me.
- 21:17Speaker 4: When people watch my scene and they're like, he's super
- 21:19Speaker 4: boring because he just is so serious all the time, Well, yeah,
- 21:22Speaker 4: I was super nervous, so I didn't want to mess up.
- 21:24Speaker 4: I was in my own head. But like there's a
- 21:28Speaker 4: when you get off of that, like there's a more
- 21:30Speaker 4: of a lightheartedness. I guess I would say. So people
- 21:32Speaker 4: probably didn't see that. They think of Zach from television.
- 21:35Speaker 4: They're not like, oh, he's just a super light hearted guy.
- 21:38Speaker 9: I'm a robot, that's what they thought.
- 21:42Speaker 5: It's actually really good.
- 21:43Speaker 3: I was gonna say, he's definitely more.
- 21:48Speaker 2: Zach smiles more and he's definitely more personable in real life.
- 21:52Speaker 4: Oh thank you, thank you, But I mean and that's
- 21:55Speaker 4: just I mean, it was the same thing with me,
- 21:56Speaker 4: Like it's it's just some personality types, aren't a Gabby
- 22:00Speaker 4: on television or in Ashley, where you're just like, yeah,
- 22:03Speaker 4: they're more alive than ever.
- 22:04Speaker 5: All right, So for the two of you, what's a misconception?
- 22:07Speaker 12: I think I have one.
- 22:08Speaker 7: You got reamed for your style, but you're so unrightly
- 22:13Speaker 7: so you're so stylish, Yeah you are.
- 22:17Speaker 5: Oh yeah that was real bad.
- 22:19Speaker 2: Well you were saying to me last night, if you
- 22:21Speaker 2: don't mind me bringing this up, Yeah, that like your
- 22:23Speaker 2: boobs were so big that you felt like you couldn't
- 22:26Speaker 2: wear certain things, and that you and Carrie had some
- 22:27Speaker 2: difficulty picking outfits.
- 22:29Speaker 11: Yeah, and it was hard because we would share the
- 22:31Speaker 11: same wardrobe like room, and I would see all the
- 22:33Speaker 11: dresses like Gabby would wear and I was like, oh,
- 22:35Speaker 11: I would love to wear all that, and I couldn't
- 22:36Speaker 11: wear anything, and I was just already tired and uncomfortable.
- 22:40Speaker 11: So I feel like I was just not in my
- 22:43Speaker 11: best headspace for clothing.
- 22:45Speaker 6: But like a weird like.
- 22:47Speaker 7: They style the lead almost like business casual. I'm like,
- 22:51Speaker 7: these are not this isn't what I would wear, Like
- 22:53Speaker 7: we're I feel like we're like up with the trends
- 22:56Speaker 7: and like living in La you know. And but it's
- 22:59Speaker 7: like that's not how they doe. Not saying it's a
- 23:01Speaker 7: bad thing because it was like expensive clothes, which it's
- 23:03Speaker 7: like you'll never get a chance to do that again.
- 23:05Speaker 7: But I think kind of figuring out your own style
- 23:09Speaker 7: in that sect was like hard.
- 23:11Speaker 3: I totally get it.
- 23:11Speaker 2: When you look at the rocks, You're like, Okay, this
- 23:14Speaker 2: actually looks really good on while they put it on,
- 23:16Speaker 2: and like they style it, but it's never any thing
- 23:19Speaker 2: I would pick at the mall myself.
- 23:20Speaker 11: Yeah, like I look like a secretary, Like you know
- 23:23Speaker 11: what really good outfits.
- 23:24Speaker 2: I'm not talking about like the evening wear. The evening
- 23:26Speaker 2: war is always gorgeous.
- 23:27Speaker 7: Yeah, and like so fun to be in a ball gown,
- 23:30Speaker 7: Like when do you get to do that as an adult.
- 23:31Speaker 5: It's such a different world.
- 23:33Speaker 4: Like as the Bachelor, I was so ecstatic to have
- 23:35Speaker 4: somebody picking up my clothes. In fact, I wrote a
- 23:38Speaker 4: letter to Warner Brothers afterwards saying, I have no style.
- 23:42Speaker 4: You guys gave me like the wildest looking ties and shirts.
- 23:46Speaker 4: I would love to have those because if not, I'm
- 23:49Speaker 4: going to wear like jeans and a T shirt for
- 23:51Speaker 4: the rest of my life. It's your fault, so please
- 23:55Speaker 4: hook me up.
- 23:56Speaker 5: All right? What about Gabby?
- 23:58Speaker 3: I mean we always talk about this.
- 23:59Speaker 11: Obviously, Gabby's the funniest person I know, and she's really
- 24:03Speaker 11: good TV, and like people watch her and they just
- 24:05Speaker 11: I feel like sometimes think that she doesn't take things seriously,
- 24:08Speaker 11: but she really does, and she really cares about everyone.
- 24:12Speaker 11: You're so emotionally intelligent, like one of the smartest people
- 24:15Speaker 11: I know. So I feel like you can be so
- 24:17Speaker 11: fun and funny. Obviously you are, but you have like
- 24:20Speaker 11: a completely different side too. I feel like was shown
- 24:22Speaker 11: a little bit more on our season, like they got
- 24:24Speaker 11: to see that with you.
- 24:26Speaker 8: Yeah, years of therapy.
- 24:29Speaker 4: You have a Gabby You do have like a Caitlin
- 24:32Speaker 4: Bristow esque Like Caitlyn always intimidated me when I was
- 24:35Speaker 4: on the Bachelorette because she was so emotionally intelligent and
- 24:38Speaker 4: so funny at the same time that I always felt
- 24:42Speaker 4: like I couldn't keep up, like I was always so
- 24:45Speaker 4: like I always feel like I was one step behind
- 24:47Speaker 4: Caitlyn when I was on her season because she was
- 24:49Speaker 4: always one step ahead of me. Do you feel like
- 24:52Speaker 4: any of the guys during your season every okay.
- 24:58Speaker 8: Which I think like it's less.
- 25:00Speaker 7: I think it is different for men and women, just
- 25:03Speaker 7: like in general, we're different breeds of people. We've been
- 25:07Speaker 7: through different things. So I think women are naturally more
- 25:09Speaker 7: in touch with their emotions because we're allowed to be. Also,
- 25:12Speaker 7: just being a woman is another layer of almost like
- 25:16Speaker 7: difficulty that kind of teaches you things that men don't
- 25:19Speaker 7: have to go through and age. Women do mature faster
- 25:22Speaker 7: than age, and there was not I think who was
- 25:24Speaker 7: the oldest son.
- 25:25Speaker 12: Nate was thirty three, he had a kid.
- 25:27Speaker 7: He was very emotionally mature because of everything he's been through,
- 25:31Speaker 7: so like it takes life, you know. And I think
- 25:34Speaker 7: like that was honestly the biggest difference. If you put
- 25:36Speaker 7: like mid thirty to late thirty year old dudes on
- 25:38Speaker 7: The Bachelor, like it would be completely different, but they're
- 25:41Speaker 7: not the ones signing up.
- 25:42Speaker 4: There wasn't one person on my season the Bachelor that
- 25:44Speaker 4: was intimidated by me, like I know it, like they.
- 25:47Speaker 2: You are a liar because I was intimidated by you
- 25:49Speaker 2: and I wasn't on your season.
- 25:51Speaker 5: Exactly you were on my season, so that doesn't count.
- 25:53Speaker 2: No, But it's not as if like I didn't have
- 25:55Speaker 2: hard eyes when I met you at Mentel.
- 25:56Speaker 5: All well, because we just knew we had a special box.
- 26:00Speaker 3: He's like, we just knew we were going to record.
- 26:01Speaker 5: A podcast years. What about for you, Rachel?
- 26:06Speaker 4: Was there people in your season that you felt like
- 26:08Speaker 4: were intimidated by you or like couldn't keep up?
- 26:11Speaker 6: I mean, I don't know, not really.
- 26:14Speaker 7: I mean, yeah, I think you're also very emotionally intelligent
- 26:18Speaker 7: and you know what you want, Like you're not afraid
- 26:20Speaker 7: to say what you want, which I think is amazing
- 26:23Speaker 7: and crucial, and I think naturally kind of intimidates like men.
- 26:28Speaker 6: Yeah, maybe I don't know.
- 26:29Speaker 11: The whole time I had was just spinning, just trying
- 26:32Speaker 11: to figure it out.
- 26:33Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 26:34Speaker 2: Ye, Well, Hyundai is all about evolving their journey and
- 26:37Speaker 2: we and journey is.
- 26:39Speaker 12: A word that we use a lot in the Bachelor franchise.
- 26:42Speaker 2: And now I use it casually in everyday life, and
- 26:44Speaker 2: it's just like, Wow, you are a product of TV whatever.
- 26:48Speaker 2: The Bachelor is actually evolving their journey by adding the
- 26:52Speaker 2: Golden Bachelor. And I think everybody wants to know whether
- 26:56Speaker 2: your grandpa is officially cacid.
- 26:59Speaker 7: Absolutely not. Yeah, he's like, Gabby, remind them about me.
- 27:03Speaker 7: I'm like, Grandpa, they know who you are. They don't
- 27:06Speaker 7: need reminding. Well, what do you.
- 27:08Speaker 12: Mean, why wouldn't you?
- 27:09Speaker 3: Why can't he go on?
- 27:11Speaker 7: He's he's also he's just like a grandpa.
- 27:14Speaker 2: Like, yeah, but there's gonna be a lot They're gonna
- 27:16Speaker 2: be Grandpa's on here eighty four years old.
- 27:18Speaker 12: Yeah, I know.
- 27:18Speaker 3: So he's a little bit of the age me say it.
- 27:24Speaker 7: I don't know what more there is to say when
- 27:27Speaker 7: it comes in like the Love Realm, Like they're starting
- 27:30Speaker 7: at age fifty five. They're not gonna throw Grandpa John and.
- 27:33Speaker 3: Thres years later.
- 27:35Speaker 7: Like, also, I die when people on Instagram are like,
- 27:37Speaker 7: what about Grandpa Joe? So Grandpa Joe, he like get
- 27:44Speaker 7: his name right. He does get recognized everywhere.
- 27:47Speaker 12: He loves it.
- 27:47Speaker 8: His head is so big, thriving.
- 27:51Speaker 5: Yeah, good for him.
- 27:52Speaker 12: Yeah, he loves it.
- 27:53Speaker 5: Yeah. He is the most popular guy at card games.
- 27:56Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, Bridge.
- 28:00Speaker 7: And in the airport he literally spoiled Dancing with the Stars. Yeah,
- 28:04Speaker 7: it got to Instagram.
- 28:06Speaker 12: What do you mean he spoiler? Wasn't it live?
- 28:08Speaker 2: No?
- 28:08Speaker 7: Like, because you know how they keep the cast secret
- 28:11Speaker 7: so we were.
- 28:13Speaker 3: This is why he can't be the Bachelor because.
- 28:15Speaker 7: He can't keep any secret, and he would be telling
- 28:18Speaker 7: all of the girls he loves them with him five
- 28:19Speaker 7: seconds and she would be the best ses I.
- 28:22Speaker 2: Was okay, Yeah, so I'm thinking about him as being
- 28:25Speaker 2: a contestant on the future hopefully episode or season.
- 28:28Speaker 12: Of The Golden Bachelor Bachelorette. Yeah. I have a lot
- 28:31Speaker 12: of thoughts about this.
- 28:33Speaker 8: There would have to be a nurse on duty.
- 28:35Speaker 7: Twenty four for med management, Like this is wild. I
- 28:39Speaker 7: don't know if they thought this through.
- 28:42Speaker 13: They can't do the bunk beds.
- 28:43Speaker 7: They would get delirious and everybody would be like whipping yes,
- 28:47Speaker 7: uh like their nights and days. Yeah, they'd have to
- 28:49Speaker 7: be like restrained and turned into an hospital.
- 28:53Speaker 12: There literally shower chairs like.
- 28:56Speaker 3: Physical watch.
- 28:59Speaker 7: I want to I don't think I'm not gonna lie.
- 29:02Speaker 3: I don't think this is what the franchise needs.
- 29:05Speaker 2: It's just not very relatable, but it's funny.
- 29:11Speaker 5: I think it's so good.
- 29:13Speaker 4: All right, to close up here, as Ashley was speaking about,
- 29:17Speaker 4: Hondai is all about evolving your journey.
- 29:20Speaker 5: We've been through a journey.
- 29:21Speaker 4: Just to close up, if all of you can answer
- 29:23Speaker 4: what has been your favorite part of the journey on
- 29:26Speaker 4: this franchise so far?
- 29:28Speaker 9: Okay, first, I mean, hands down finding my fiance, Like
- 29:32Speaker 9: it was a show obviously during this season, but you know,
- 29:36Speaker 9: I wouldn't trade it because it got me to the
- 29:38Speaker 9: position I'm in now and very Happy's.
- 29:41Speaker 8: The same answer.
- 29:42Speaker 3: Easy, You guys are going to get married, you know.
- 29:45Speaker 4: I'm like saying I said when I when I left
- 29:49Speaker 4: the interview with Zach and Katy the other day, I
- 29:52Speaker 4: was talking to Hana, I think and I said, I
- 29:54Speaker 4: have never seen a couple from the show. It's just
- 29:57Speaker 4: like happy and content. Like I look at the two
- 30:00Speaker 4: of you, and I think I told you this. If
- 30:02Speaker 4: there's ever a headline that you guys broke up, I
- 30:04Speaker 4: message you on Instagram and be like, stop right now,
- 30:07Speaker 4: get back together. This is perfect. Yeah, but you guys
- 30:13Speaker 4: just seem like as strong as any couple we've ever met.
- 30:17Speaker 10: Uh.
- 30:18Speaker 5: And we usually get to talk to the couples afterwards.
- 30:20Speaker 2: I know that we've said before like, oh my gosh,
- 30:22Speaker 2: they're totally making out way I'm thinking about like Serene
- 30:24Speaker 2: and Brendon right now, right, But like there's.
- 30:27Speaker 12: A calmness about you guys that is different.
- 30:29Speaker 2: It's like you guys are not trying to be over
- 30:31Speaker 2: the top or prove anything.
- 30:32Speaker 12: You just are.
- 30:34Speaker 7: I'm sure you have like a confidence in your relationship,
- 30:37Speaker 7: Like even the way you talk about marriage, You're like, oh,
- 30:39Speaker 7: it's a sure thing.
- 30:40Speaker 3: Couldn't relate Like I just wanted to get to know him.
- 30:46Speaker 3: Were I forgot?
- 30:54Speaker 12: Yeah, like so many questions.
- 30:58Speaker 7: It is really refreshing to see, like, yeah, you guys
- 31:01Speaker 7: are amazing.
- 31:01Speaker 5: Together the two of you. Wh's been your favorite part? Definitely, Rachel,
- 31:06Speaker 5: no joke.
- 31:07Speaker 6: We went through a lot of We had the best time.
- 31:10Speaker 11: We have so many memories, and the only thing I
- 31:13Speaker 11: got out of it was like, obviously this amazing friendship.
- 31:16Speaker 11: So definitely now we get to do these cool things together.
- 31:19Speaker 8: So it's so nice to have like a partner.
- 31:22Speaker 3: You guys really like you did come out as a couple.
- 31:30Speaker 2: So great.
- 31:31Speaker 4: Well, thanks to all of you for joining us. Again,
- 31:34Speaker 4: thanks to Hyundai for helping make this happen. We really
- 31:38Speaker 4: did have a great time yesterday. Ashley and I don't
- 31:41Speaker 4: get to just sit and catch up on life because
- 31:43Speaker 4: we're usually recording and going off with our lives. We
