- 0:05[SPEAKER_04]: We know you have takes, we have takes.
- 0:07[SPEAKER_04]: I'm back to surprise that you're a rant line, rape line, whatever, is this completely full.
- 0:13[SPEAKER_00]: What can't we just win a game?
- 0:14[SPEAKER_00]: Can I blame Michael Caspio for this?
- 0:16[SPEAKER_01]: Can I blame Bob Connelly for this?
- 0:17[SPEAKER_01]: Can I put on a zebra shirt and just go out there?
- 0:20[SPEAKER_01]: Scratch, claw, up against the wall.
- 0:22[SPEAKER_02]: Can't explain it while I'm feeling right now, guys.
- 0:24[SPEAKER_04]: I can't believe it.
- 0:25[SPEAKER_02]: Let's open up that raised ball.
- 0:31[SPEAKER_03]: or can't believe USC is undefeated in the SEC.
- 0:36[SPEAKER_03]: Wait, we're in the big tent.
- 0:39[SPEAKER_03]: What's the record?
- 0:40[SPEAKER_03]: Oh no!
- 0:42[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, everybody, welcome back to Reddit for already episode 652 coming to you on Wednesday, September seconds.

- 1:02[SPEAKER_04]: I guess you could say as always, you can follow us on social media right now for email us,
- 1:08[SPEAKER_04]: Phone number 818-643-7227 second let's burn show.
- 1:12[SPEAKER_04]: I'm your host Michael Castilla, journal out of my co-host, here in the rain trist studio with Los Angeles.
- 1:17[SPEAKER_04]: Silly sederatola.
- 1:18[SPEAKER_04]: Hello everybody.
- 1:19[SPEAKER_04]: Hello.
- 1:19[SPEAKER_04]: We're back for a week one.
- 1:24[SPEAKER_04]: We're just going to call this game too.
- 1:26[SPEAKER_04]: How about that?
- 1:28[SPEAKER_04]: It's game two.
- 1:29[SPEAKER_04]: It's game two.
- 1:30[SPEAKER_04]: It is weird that S.E.C.
- 1:31[SPEAKER_04]: is going to play two games before like most teams have played one.
- 1:37[SPEAKER_04]: Mm-hmm.
- 1:38[SPEAKER_04]: That is that is weird.
- 1:40[SPEAKER_04]: That is that is that is weird.
- 1:42[SPEAKER_04]: It's what, uh, I
- 1:46[SPEAKER_04]: 16 and a half percent of the season as you already gone well participated in before most teams have played one game which is which is going to be wild but lots of things to talk talk about on this episode uh... i think we just get straight in the new shall we?
- 2:14[SPEAKER_04]: All right, let's talk about Jade Mayama named AP player of the week.
- 2:19[SPEAKER_04]: At least this might be the only time he gets AP player the week, uh, non, without a rushing touchdown and with only 2806 passing yards against Saturday State, he was very good last week.
- 2:30[SPEAKER_04]: Like I'm, there, there is, there is nothing to, to, to, to say that he missed step, there anything.
- 2:37[SPEAKER_04]: Um, there's weren't a lot of games and so, best player on best team to play, Jade Mayaba, he gets the non for AP player the week.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_01]: This is why I get kind of annoyed with player the week's stuff though because this is the lowest hanging fruit like sure before the before the weekend kicked off I could have told you yeah, I'd trade my I was probably gonna get player the week because he was probably gonna be Have the best passer rating of most of the quarterbacks that played with a wrecking that recognizable name
- 3:03[SPEAKER_01]: but like he wasn't even the best player for USC, like Trepp mostly should have been player for the week.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, 100%.
- 3:09[SPEAKER_01]: You know, give it to Davis Warren or whatever for a leading Stanford back against Hawaii, like, I don't know.
- 3:15[SPEAKER_01]: I think that just seems nice.
- 3:16[SPEAKER_04]: Thank you.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_04]: Hey, it's good evidence for the the Heisman campaign.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, yeah, I recognize well name.
- 3:23[SPEAKER_01]: He definitely has it.
- 3:24[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, Katie Ryan, USC's SID can add that to the list of things to spam everyone's email address in November when we're talking about potential, you know, Heismantropping Campaigns for Jade Myavas.
- 3:37[SPEAKER_04]: So look out for that.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_04]: Talk about the beer swords at the Colosseum.
- 3:43[SPEAKER_04]: We talked about it in the watch along.
- 3:45[SPEAKER_04]: We talked about it in the car cast, did we go to go?
- 3:49[SPEAKER_04]: We might have talked about it in the car cast.
- 3:51[SPEAKER_04]: I know we talked about it a week ago when we were previewing the setters they stayed came, but the beer swords back at the Colossian.
- 3:57[SPEAKER_04]: They were going for like a hundred bucks on eBay.
- 4:00[SPEAKER_04]: It would cost less to get a ticket go to the game and buy one for 25 bucks Friday night than you could get them on eBay.
- 4:10[SPEAKER_04]: Maybe that's the should be the attendance talking point should be about the beer swords.
- 4:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Ramamurti says can we not talk about attendance in the answer is yes, this is this is the end of all attendance talk that we do today.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, if you want attendance talk go to fancere.com and read the article that I wrote in a fit of fine, I'll do it this morning.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_01]: So that sums up everything.
- 4:35[SPEAKER_04]: There you go.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_04]: Andrea updates ahead of Fresno State's Dept.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_04]: Chart is out.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_04]: Lincoln rarely said Marcellus Williams could have played in San Jose State last week and week zero, but they held him back out of caution he's back in the Dept.
- 4:48[SPEAKER_04]: Chart behind John Ted's Williams, but with an or with RJ sermons.
- 4:54[SPEAKER_04]: Can there is rhetoric on the Dept.
- 4:56[SPEAKER_04]: with an aura to Baden Reardon, but behind Christian Pierce at safety, Jacqueem Stewart was in a boot on Saturday, but he's now listed behind GD Abysseria, a defensive tackle on the Dept.
- 5:06[SPEAKER_04]: Chart, Brayland shall be back on the Dept.
- 5:08[SPEAKER_04]: Chart, behind Cam Crawford, to no kind to still an aura with Corey Sims.
- 5:13[SPEAKER_04]: Terrell Anderson still not on the Dept.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_04]: Chart, and Sam Heward is an aura with Jonah Schwilliams at QB2.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_04]: Your thoughts?
- 5:22[SPEAKER_01]: yeah so as we saw from last week's depth chart the you know being on the depth chart doesn't mean that you will play not being on the depth chart doesn't mean that you are injured but
- 5:35[SPEAKER_01]: If you are not in the depth chart, there is a chance that you are injured and not going to play.
- 5:40[SPEAKER_01]: And if you are on the depth chart, you could still be injured and could play, could not play potentially.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_01]: So like Teno Kinds was on the depth chart, but didn't play against San Jose State.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_01]: Um, Brailin Shelby was not on the Depth chart and did not play against San Jose State.
- 6:00[SPEAKER_01]: And it seemed to be that the only reason he wasn't on the Depth chart was because of said injury.
- 6:05[SPEAKER_01]: Same with Candarius Reddick, same with Marcelis Williams, same with James Stewart.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_01]: So being back on the Depth chart is a good sign for guys like James Stewart and Brailin Shelby.
- 6:15[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 6:17[SPEAKER_01]: and canary's rhetoric, it doesn't necessarily meet the only one that we're relatively sure will actually play as Marcellus Williams because Lincoln Riley himself said that Marcellus Williams should be back this week.
- 6:30[SPEAKER_01]: So Hughord, and Terrell Anderson not being on the
- 6:37[SPEAKER_01]: we saw John Jarrett not be on the depth chart and then play in the game and it was just you know he's it could be to relendous and it's just behind the freshman which is based on what we saw from them in in that first game like could track you know you never know especially for them to be missed so much time in camp so um
- 6:58[SPEAKER_01]: We will find out once the game, once basically warm-ups start and we start getting reports from the reporters with Coliseum who note who is in his interest.
- 7:08[SPEAKER_01]: But for now, a lot of good signs in terms of USC being a bit more healthy for this game.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, we will see how it all goes.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_04]: Remember, it's only six days since SC will have played San Jose State.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_04]: That game was on Saturday.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_04]: This game is on Friday, short week.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_04]: So that could factor in to guys being available this week versus last week and so forth.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_04]: So we will see how all of that comes to be.
- 7:36[SPEAKER_04]: Of course, the season kicking off for a lot of teams, which means you can head over to my bookie.
- 7:43[SPEAKER_04]: Get in on the action.
- 7:45[SPEAKER_04]: That was the perfect time to still go.
- 7:48[SPEAKER_04]: Look at that win-lost total we've been talking about with USC before the season was at eight and a half.
- 7:55[SPEAKER_04]: I said nine, at least it said eight, you can say what you want to say over at my bookie, get in on the action there, sign up at my bookie with promo code, ROT, that's ROT, ROT.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_04]: Start your season off with the win, bed on anything, any time.

- 8:24[SPEAKER_04]: At least let's get into it S.C. and Fresno states.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_04]: We've talked about it before.
- 8:32[SPEAKER_04]: I think of any team that S.C. plays on a semi-regular basis
- 8:41[SPEAKER_04]: First of all, Fresno State and Tennessee said probably only two of those that qualify for semi-regular basis, but I respect the hell out of Fresno State.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_04]: I do too.
- 8:52[SPEAKER_04]: I adore their program.
- 8:53[SPEAKER_04]: I think they have great fans.
- 8:55[SPEAKER_04]: I think they have great buy-in.
- 8:57[SPEAKER_04]: Like it is a
- 9:00[SPEAKER_04]: program that I think is super easy to root for.
- 9:03[SPEAKER_04]: Not just because Matt insists there, but this was the same under Pat Hill.
- 9:07[SPEAKER_04]: That I was talking to my dad yesterday.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_04]: That 2005 game at the Colosseum SC wins 50 to 42.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_04]: Paul Pinager was their quarterback.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_04]: complete sell out for a like 730 on Fox Sports net broadcast in which Redgibos has the greatest game of his life and your life probably too.
- 9:32[SPEAKER_04]: That is like number one and all time games I want to go back and relive attending.
- 9:37[SPEAKER_04]: because it was, it was electric at the Colosseum.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_04]: Freshers State brought like 20,000 people.
- 9:43[SPEAKER_04]: It was, it was great.
- 9:45[SPEAKER_04]: It was an absolute great game.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_04]: And I think, freshers State earned a part of my heart that night.
- 9:53[SPEAKER_04]: I wonder if there's any fans feel the same way.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_04]: You said you have similar thoughts about Fresno State.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_01]: Fresno State's one of my favorite G6 schools, and it has been a fan since I've been a fan, which goes back to those years when they were, you know, that Reggie Bush game, and then all the meetings since they just feel like a...
- 10:16[SPEAKER_01]: They feel like a really, like is it easy to root for kind of like just a blue collar, blue collar program with a strong fan base for a place that you wouldn't necessarily like Pegas being a legitimate college football program.
- 10:37[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 10:37[SPEAKER_04]: Largest city of America without an interstate distress now.
- 10:40[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, yeah, they just, they always seem to play good football, play tough football.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_01]: They feel, insofar as USC has any G6 rivals, they feel like USC's G6 rival, like they feel like a rival in a sense.
- 11:00[SPEAKER_01]: It's not a true rivalry, but they kind of rise to that occasion.
- 11:10[SPEAKER_01]: Like, you know, beating, beatings, all due respect to San Jose State.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_01]: Beating San Jose State never feels like an achievement.
- 11:17[SPEAKER_01]: Beating Fresno State always feels like, I know that that's a good program.
- 11:21[SPEAKER_01]: I know that they're not easy to beat.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_01]: And so if USC beats them, it's like, yes, that's quality.
- 11:27[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, look at these first four games before the Oregon game.
- 11:31[SPEAKER_04]: And I think if anyone ranked them, you put Rutgers number one.
- 11:35[SPEAKER_04]: And I think everyone will put Fresno State number two, but probably a close number two.
- 11:39[SPEAKER_04]: Um, this is the Madents coach team, USC's former linebackers coach, one of the national championship, of course, at North Dakota State as a head coach.
- 11:48[SPEAKER_04]: This is your two for him in the valley.
- 11:50[SPEAKER_04]: Um, lot of connections, not just, you know, the history of this series, which has been, you know, one to remember like we've talked about, but Madents is there.
- 12:01[SPEAKER_04]: Uh, you know who their special teams coordinator currently is.
- 12:08[SPEAKER_04]: I do I do know this do we want to pause for a fact take your guess if if you if you're driving down the 99 and you're listening this game on the way to the Colosseum you're probably yelling right now it's John Baxter can I believe John Baxter for this yeah we got to bring back the old soundboard drop uh John Baxter back in Fresno State which feels right he is Fresno State's Fresno State's Fresno State yeah it's it's Pat Hill
- 12:38[SPEAKER_04]: center genoconionus is on the Fresno State roster.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know how he still has eligibility.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_04]: Like, so I'll even tell you, Pupu is in, like, year in my memory.
- 12:46[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, Montana.
- 12:48[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, Montana.
- 12:49[SPEAKER_04]: And like, genoconionus not too far off of all of that.
- 12:53[SPEAKER_04]: And, uh, days on the feet who played at S C in 2023 actually didn't see the field, but he signs her S C, registered in 2023.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_04]: He's on this Fresno State roster as well.
- 13:04[SPEAKER_04]: The Bulldogs went 9 or 4 last year, unranked in the AP poll, went to the Mountain West Championship game, 85th in FBI as a team, but everything that I've done research, and you've done research,
- 13:21[SPEAKER_04]: That might be the biggest red-haring of anything about this Fresno State team is their FBI rankings.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_04]: 124th on offense, 48th on defense.
- 13:30[SPEAKER_04]: We're going to talk about that in a minute.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_04]: Let's talk about the offense.
- 13:34[SPEAKER_04]: We'll start there.
- 13:36[SPEAKER_04]: Quarterback, Jaden Mandel.
- 13:38[SPEAKER_04]: wins the job he beats out Maryland transfer Christian Martin Christian Martin comes in from the terps i think a lot of people expected him to win the job coming from uh you know a power for program like Maryland who likes to throw the ball around uh to replace each a Warner kind of made sense but
- 13:56[SPEAKER_04]: It's Jaden Mandel, the fourth year guy, Redshirt Jr. has one career start in the 2024 famous potato Idaho bull against Northern Illinois.
- 14:06[SPEAKER_04]: I missed all of last season with the torn UCL.
- 14:09[SPEAKER_04]: Didn't have Tommy John but like something similar to have some some surgical reparations there.
- 14:16[SPEAKER_04]: And at least I think
- 14:18[SPEAKER_04]: The other note is this has to be like the first game in the history of not just college football, but the sport in general to feature two starting quarterbacks named Jaden M, both of whom spell it J-A-Y-D-E-N.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_04]: Jade and Mandel, Jade and my other.
- 14:38[SPEAKER_01]: Mm-hmm.
- 14:38[SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
- 14:39[SPEAKER_01]: It's a fun quarterback matchup in that sense.
- 14:41[SPEAKER_01]: I noticed that just out of the blue while I was laying in bed one day and one night, I was like, oh, and then yeah, that was- Yeah.
- 14:49[SPEAKER_04]: I know Jade is like the number one name in America.
- 14:52[SPEAKER_01]: There's so many ways to spell it.
- 14:54[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 14:55[SPEAKER_04]: But yeah, that's the key.
- 14:56[SPEAKER_04]: Like there's a million ways to spell.
- 14:57[SPEAKER_04]: It's like Britney.
- 14:59[SPEAKER_04]: It's the the the the boy version of Brittany where it's like well, how do you spell Brittany there's like nine different ways to spell Brittany so Looking at the running backs for the Bulldogs race on Luke
- 15:17[SPEAKER_04]: Ratio on Luke is back the former Arizona Wildcat here as Badger has thoughts on the Bulldog 700 and two rushing yards a year ago 36 hatches to 128 yards to touchdowns Bryson Don Ellson is back 600 yards both those guys
- 15:35[SPEAKER_04]: Combined for 1,300 yards in the back field for the Fresno State Bulldogs a year ago Just I have free men gets an extra year at wide receiver He's back the leaning wide receiver last year 52 catches 642 yards 6 touchdowns tight ends Jake Applegate in from Northern Illinois Offensive line with a lot of veteran presence Edward Fona
- 16:00[SPEAKER_04]: Roland Fullwood, Oscar Weigel comes in from the University of San Diego.
- 16:06[SPEAKER_04]: He's a 13 Philsteel Preseason All Pack 12 guy.
- 16:11[SPEAKER_04]: The other two guys also first and second team Preseason All Pack 12.
- 16:16[SPEAKER_04]: As an offense, kind of a baseball Fresno State last year.
- 16:19[SPEAKER_04]: 124th in FBI, 81st in scoring, 93rd in total offense, 96th in yards per play, that goes up to 111th when you remove garbage time, 100th in points per drive, 118th in available yards, 112th in passing offense,
- 16:36[SPEAKER_04]: They were and they are run first.
- 16:38[SPEAKER_04]: So I think that is something to account for.
- 16:39[SPEAKER_04]: And when you look at Luke and Donaldson back in the backfield.
- 16:44[SPEAKER_04]: Like I said, those two guys combined for 1300 yards.
- 16:48[SPEAKER_04]: Luke used to be at Arizona before when they were in the back 12 back in 2023.
- 16:53[SPEAKER_04]: So you got you got thoughts here?
- 17:01[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think this team was obviously better than the sum of its parts last year, that record is pretty good considering how
- 17:13[SPEAKER_01]: like how statistically unimpressive they were they still found ways to win and I think a lot of it was that their quarterback played just wasn't great last year and and I think it was holding them back a lot of interceptions and and just not really an inspiring sort of output from that position.
- 17:33[SPEAKER_01]: So I think you're right to point out like the the running game
- 17:38[SPEAKER_01]: is definitely the thing that should concern USC the most, especially because stylistically this is such a change from the San Jose state running games.
- 17:48[SPEAKER_01]: San Jose state was going out there five wide, four wide.
- 17:51[SPEAKER_01]: And when they would run, it was mostly catching USC off guard.
- 17:55[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 17:55[SPEAKER_01]: And when it said so.
- 17:57[SPEAKER_01]: And yeah, and and just getting a chunk yard here there, they weren't.
- 18:02[SPEAKER_01]: trying to sort of get into a battle in the trenches with USC, and that is what Fresno State will be doing.
- 18:09[SPEAKER_01]: I think they will go out there.
- 18:11[SPEAKER_01]: They have a size advantage on the offensive line.
- 18:14[SPEAKER_01]: And if I'm at end, so I think I do go straight into the T the USC's defensive front and ask the question of them.
- 18:23[SPEAKER_01]: how improved are you from last year because last year you weren't you weren't up to snuff even if it was slightly better than the year before so this is a this is a matchup that I think will be very very telling for USC in in terms of the front seven I think that when you look at this these running backs and this offensive line and
- 18:47[SPEAKER_01]: and the particular attack that it's hard to know about the quarterback because hit, you know, there's just not much to say about a guy with one start in a, you know, in a bowl game.
- 18:57[SPEAKER_01]: Um, but
- 19:00[SPEAKER_01]: This is a game that will tell us a lot more about someone like Desmond Stevens and Devin Bryant.
- 19:07[SPEAKER_01]: It's will tell us a lot more about treaty adversary being able to play that deep into tackle role at his size this season.
- 19:14[SPEAKER_01]: It'll tell us more about Ben Sumeran and whether or not he is the sort of stout defensive line in that he looked against San Jose State team that was not going to challenge USC from a size perspective.
- 19:28[SPEAKER_01]: And I think it'll be much more a much bigger challenge on the edges for guys like Lou Hoeffel and Cam Crawford to show discipline and to sort of mind their peace and cues because you have to be able to do that against the team that is going to just go out there and stuff it in your face for a bit.
- 19:50[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I think that you bring up a lot of good points like this is not the challenge from a week ago, which also, you know, I think a lot of people not that
- 20:00[SPEAKER_04]: Last week was like this huge monumental challenge is just different, right?
- 20:04[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, this is the team that's going to want to play downhill.
- 20:07[SPEAKER_04]: And so I think that the issues that S.C. has in the passing game last year, especially last week, especially in the fourth quarter, I don't think you're going to see those type of things in this game.
- 20:18[SPEAKER_04]: Well, let you do.
- 20:19[SPEAKER_04]: I think that further emphasizes that those are problems.
- 20:22[SPEAKER_01]: I do wonder if Fresno State,
- 20:25[SPEAKER_01]: will try to challenge USC deep a couple times the same way that San Jose state did because that you know I think one of the things that that happened to Fresno State last year is when you don't have capable quarterback play it makes it much easier for teams to shut down or to limit what you can do on the ground.
- 20:49[SPEAKER_01]: And so, if I'm president of state establishing a bit of a past game, so going after what we think to be U.S. use weakness right now, which is the safeties and the corners, I think it could really really help them open up because I agree with Trobob, like stack the box and just take the run away, but you could only do that if your secondary
- 21:17[SPEAKER_01]: doesn't leave itself vulnerable to sort of, you know, shots down that over over the middle.
- 21:24[SPEAKER_01]: So there is a little bit of a chest match there, but
- 21:29[SPEAKER_01]: This is not a game where Fresno State wants to be throwing the ball a ton.
- 21:33[SPEAKER_01]: I think that they will run, they will throw the ball to keep U.S. the honest.
- 21:37[SPEAKER_01]: And much like San Jose State was running the ball to keep U.S. the honest.
- 21:41[SPEAKER_01]: San Jose State still had way too much success running the ball when they were keeping U.S. the honest.
- 21:47[SPEAKER_01]: And if it's the other way around, and this one, it still causes a problem.
- 21:52[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, 100% so we'll see how that match up goes.
- 21:57[SPEAKER_04]: It should be something that S.C. should be able to succeed in given that, you know, French states struggles from a year ago, but I think it's a good test for, like, what S.C. will see in the big 10.
- 22:07[SPEAKER_04]: A lot of,
- 22:08[SPEAKER_04]: big ten offences fit this style is this not what Rutgers wants to do.
- 22:15[SPEAKER_01]: This is much much much closer to the big ten style offense that you will see will see than anything that San Jose State put on the field.
- 22:23[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I think style is typically frecestate fits.
- 22:27[SPEAKER_04]: They're big tennie, they're big tennie, they're big tennie, yes, they've always been big tennie, they've always been big tennie, yeah, they're in that Utah Iowa Rutgers Malt, and that makes them pay in the ass to play, let's talk about the defense, which uh,
- 22:47[SPEAKER_04]: is where they are paying the ass to play.
- 22:49[SPEAKER_04]: They were really good last year in year one under Matt Ens.
- 22:54[SPEAKER_04]: Talk about FEI being sort of a misnomer for what this defense could be.
- 23:00[SPEAKER_04]: Forty eighth and defensive FEI a year ago yet every single metric and every single number
- 23:10[SPEAKER_04]: very good.
- 23:11[SPEAKER_04]: I think a lot of that has to do with who they were playing in the mountain west.
- 23:15[SPEAKER_04]: They were a number two in the country in total past events.
- 23:19[SPEAKER_04]: Olio Ohio State was better.
- 23:21[SPEAKER_04]: 10th in total defense, 12th in available yards, 13th in defensive points per drive,
- 23:27[SPEAKER_04]: 14th in yards per play that drops to 9th when you take out garbage time 16th in scoring defense allowing 18.8 points per game only Kansas and Colorado state scored more than 30 Colorado State scored 39 that sounds crazy Well 21 points off turnovers.
- 23:47[SPEAKER_04]: They had a scoop and score in a seven yard short field in that game so
- 23:53[SPEAKER_04]: This is a team that makes it very difficult to score Fresno State.
- 23:56[SPEAKER_04]: They're so good at past events that they make teams need to run the ball.
- 24:02[SPEAKER_04]: And luckily, despite that, their defense is right there in the middle, 58th in the country in, sorry, 54th in the country in yards per carry at loud 4.06, 54th.
- 24:14[SPEAKER_04]: in rush defense as a whole, but they do a good job of limiting damage.
- 24:18[SPEAKER_04]: Only 7th in rush touchdowns allowed, only 3 opponents ran for over 200 last season.
- 24:25[SPEAKER_04]: Kansas, San Diego State, Utah State.
- 24:28[SPEAKER_04]: And when you look at the roster,
- 24:31[SPEAKER_04]: I think there's a lot of guys to keep an eye on.
- 24:34[SPEAKER_04]: It starts with Nickelback, Simeon Harris.
- 24:37[SPEAKER_04]: This is the danger band.
- 24:39[SPEAKER_04]: This is a guy where you're putting a list of guys to watch who could move on to the next level, but also could be some of the bigger danger men that SD has to face defensively this season.
- 24:54[SPEAKER_04]: Sammy Harris on that list, 54 tackles a year ago, six tackles for loss, six pass breakups, five interceptions.
- 25:02[SPEAKER_04]: He's first team Phil Steele all packed 12.
- 25:06[SPEAKER_04]: He's the guy to sort of watch it, nickel, he will do everything.
- 25:09[SPEAKER_04]: He will move with the linebackers, he will drop in a coverage, he will pick you off five picks.
- 25:15[SPEAKER_04]: So that will be a challenge not only to see
- 25:18[SPEAKER_04]: how he affects someone like Mark Bowman in the middle of the field, someone like Trent Mosley who wants to be in the slot, but also what he does with Jayden Mayava and whether or not he's able to affect the past game of the Trojans that way.
- 25:33[SPEAKER_04]: On the defensive line, the John Levite, is that sound familiar it should, he transferred over for MSC, first team Philsteel preseason all packed 12, Dylan Hampton is an interesting guy comes in from Sachs State, eight Sachs, 13 tackles for loss, second team all big sky in the FCS and we know that the big sky is pretty damn good, big sky better than better than conference USA, I would say yes.
- 25:59[SPEAKER_04]: Is that wild to say?
- 26:01[SPEAKER_01]: I have no idea.
- 26:04[SPEAKER_01]: Is there it doesn't sound wild to me, but I also... Who scares you more, Montana?
- 26:09[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, that's... Or Sam Houston state.
- 26:11[SPEAKER_01]: That's the classic of, like, of FBS versus FCS.
- 26:16[SPEAKER_01]: Like, the good, the good FCS teams, are they better than the worst?
- 26:20[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I think definitively yes, but either way.
- 26:24[SPEAKER_04]: He was really good at sex state a year ago Started as career in centers a state.
- 26:27[SPEAKER_04]: They went to sack state now at Fresno state Which of course raises the question is he going to go to Cal State Channel Islands next?
- 26:35[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, we'll see.
- 26:36[SPEAKER_04]: Just on Jax, the fence event, two and a half sacks, a year ago, five and a half tackles for loss.
- 26:41[SPEAKER_04]: He's a guy to keep an eye on.
- 26:43[SPEAKER_04]: And perhaps the second best name of anyone the S.E.
- 26:46[SPEAKER_04]: plays all season.
- 26:47[SPEAKER_04]: Number one, of course, coming next week at quarterback for Louisiana, staying tuned for that one.
- 26:52[SPEAKER_04]: But, cave on Thunderbird, climb back.
- 26:55[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 26:56[SPEAKER_04]: Former ASU transfer, third team, Phil Steal, preseason all packed well.
- 27:00[SPEAKER_01]: caveum thunderbird incredible so good so good that's like that's a wrestler yes you know yes I even like the way he spells it it's it's k apostrophe beyond yeah like it just kind of looks cool it looks cool yeah yeah yeah yeah
- 27:18[SPEAKER_04]: Talk to me about the defense going up against and see stuff.
- 27:21[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think Simeon Harris is the one that I'm most most excited to see USC go against, especially just because Trump mostly and Tron Baker both had really big games out of the slot.
- 27:33[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm not sure how difficult San Jose State's defense made it for them.
- 27:39[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 27:39[SPEAKER_01]: Some of my Simeon Harris is
- 27:43[SPEAKER_01]: veteran, he's quality, he understands where he's supposed to be, and how to make life difficult for receivers, and how to hawk the ball.
- 27:52[SPEAKER_01]: So I wouldn't be surprised if going against freshman sort of slot guys if he is baiting them into certain positions in the field, baiting Jayden
- 28:10[SPEAKER_01]: being just more on top of them in general, will we still be able to see Trent mostly have the kind of big game that he had against San Jose State when he's going up against a defensive back, presumably, that
- 28:25[SPEAKER_01]: is as capable as as Harris is.
- 28:28[SPEAKER_01]: It's going to be a little bit more of a challenge.
- 28:31[SPEAKER_01]: That doesn't mean that tremosly and Tron Baker couldn't still work their magic.
- 28:36[SPEAKER_01]: I have a lot of faith in them, but they are a refreshment.
- 28:38[SPEAKER_01]: And this is one of the one of the things that is the advantage of having experience players on the field.
- 28:45[SPEAKER_01]: And that's certainly what some in Harris is.
- 28:48[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I think that this is a fun matchup to see what like Bowman and the guys in the middle can sort of do trip mostly.
- 28:56[SPEAKER_04]: We just saw so much last week, seven catches 118 receiving the yards.
- 29:00[SPEAKER_04]: We talked about it in the car cast and in the last episode reminiscent of what Zach or I branched it against Saturday State three years ago.
- 29:11[SPEAKER_04]: We never saw a better than that from Zechariah branch.
- 29:14[SPEAKER_04]: You want to see Trent mostly build on it.
- 29:17[SPEAKER_04]: He has a big game in this game.
- 29:19[SPEAKER_04]: I think that's a big sign that he's going to continue and continue to just foster production as the season goes on.
- 29:27[SPEAKER_01]: And then of course, there's the question of, is to no kind's back?
- 29:31[SPEAKER_01]: And having to no kind, I think we've rightfully paid a lot of attention to the freshman and how well they performed.
- 29:39[SPEAKER_01]: in that game, but it is worth remembering that Teno Kinds is arguably potentially U.S.E.S.
- 29:46[SPEAKER_01]: best player on offense, Teno Kinds, we still haven't gotten to see what he'll look like this season, and he does change the dynamic for an opposing defense.
- 29:57[SPEAKER_01]: San Jose State,
- 29:59[SPEAKER_01]: had a lot of trouble with U.S. season wide receivers, and they weren't even asked to carousel a player like to know kinds who already has a season under his belt to has shown the skill set and all the stuff that we've seen from guys like like Mosley and Baker and Katie W and the like who has already shown that he can do all those things and has the experience under his belt production and familiarity with the quarterback as well.
- 30:27[SPEAKER_01]: What life will be much, much easier for Fresno State if they don't have to worry about Heinz in this game.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_01]: The moment he's on the field, it's a lot harder to focus your attention on making sure Trent mostly doesn't stop you.
- 30:42[SPEAKER_01]: And that could ultimately be a huge difference in the game, if he plays.
- 30:47[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, we will see if he's able to sort of truck guys over, maybe give a little shake-in-back and so much more.
- 30:54[SPEAKER_04]: We saw him have a lot of success there last week.
- 30:58[SPEAKER_04]: All right, let's move on to some over-under, shall we?
- 31:01[SPEAKER_04]: Take your going over.
- 31:03[SPEAKER_04]: Everything will bowl, give me that over.
- 31:05[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going, I got to take it under here.
- 31:06[SPEAKER_00]: I got three under the tank.
- 31:07[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to do an under here.
- 31:08[SPEAKER_04]: All right, we start.
- 31:10[SPEAKER_04]: First one, yours, what do you got?
- 31:16[SPEAKER_01]: 3.75, and that is Fresno State Yards per carry.
- 31:23[SPEAKER_01]: This is an interesting matchup for USC's run defense, and I think I'm being a little bullish setting the line at 3.75, but the reality is is that if USC wants to have a defense that puts them in contention.
- 31:41[SPEAKER_01]: This is the kind of matchup that they have to show that they can stand up to.
- 31:46[SPEAKER_01]: Fresno State averaged 174.6 yards rushing per game last year, they averaged 4.54 yards per carry.
- 31:54[SPEAKER_01]: However, against the one P6 program that they faced who was at Kansas, they had just 37 yards rushing 1.28 yards per carry.
- 32:05[SPEAKER_01]: And against Hawaii, they had 71 yards rushing 2.22 yards per carry.
- 32:11[SPEAKER_01]: against San Diego State 1.96 yards per carry.
- 32:15[SPEAKER_01]: So they can be stifled, absolutely, by defenses that make it difficult for them.
- 32:21[SPEAKER_01]: At the same time, they also ran over a whole bunch of teams, 351 against Georgia Southern, 225 against Southern, 216 against Wyoming, 259 against San Jose State.
- 32:33[SPEAKER_01]: So if you give them room, they will absolutely
- 32:38[SPEAKER_01]: just tear you up.
- 32:40[SPEAKER_01]: So the question for for USC is which version of the USC run defense will we see in this game last year USC allowed 143.2 rushing arch per game.
- 32:53[SPEAKER_01]: they allowed 4.54 yards per carry.
- 32:56[SPEAKER_01]: Having said that, they helped Missouri State 2.24 yards per carry, and then the next week showed up and allowed 4.3 yards per carry to George or Southern.
- 33:06[SPEAKER_01]: So it's kind of a mixed bag for USC, and we do need to see age.
- 33:12[SPEAKER_01]: We need to see a drastic change in USC's run defense if we're going to be talking about the improvement that USC needs.
- 33:19[SPEAKER_01]: USC hasn't been under four yards per carry in an average for a season since before 2020.
- 33:25[SPEAKER_01]: Like it's been a long time since we've seen an actually stout USC run defense.
- 33:32[SPEAKER_01]: And the reality is is that if you aren't holding teams under an average of four,
- 33:41[SPEAKER_01]: then you are not a quality run defense, which is why I put it at 3.75, because going up against the G16, if you are not holding, you're just holding them under four, is like the bare minimum of competency against these.
- 34:00[SPEAKER_01]: So, we're doing restyards, and we're doing it at 3.75 per carry,
- 34:10[SPEAKER_01]: Because if USC had held opponents to 3.75 yards per carry last season, they would have ranked 35th nationally.
- 34:18[SPEAKER_01]: And that would have been good enough.
- 34:23[SPEAKER_01]: But as it was, USC ranked like 90 something nationally last year in run defense.
- 34:28[SPEAKER_01]: So it's really like, this game, if you cannot take the challenge of Fresno State running
- 34:40[SPEAKER_01]: in this game.
- 34:41[SPEAKER_01]: You will have problems against a lot of teams on this schedule, including Rutgers, obviously Oregon and Ohio State, Indiana, but also other teams out there that will see the gap in USC's front seven again and try to try to take advantage of it.
- 35:03[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I'm going to go.
- 35:04[SPEAKER_04]: I want to take the under here.
- 35:07[SPEAKER_04]: But I'm going to go over it's a week one on a short week.
- 35:12[SPEAKER_04]: We saw last week, a lot of guys played especially in the fourth quarter.
- 35:18[SPEAKER_04]: I'll take the over, but I will with the caveat.
- 35:25[SPEAKER_04]: I like it to be under through the first two and a half three quarters and it gets over in the fourth quarter.
- 35:33[SPEAKER_04]: There'll be a long run and whatnot, but with adversary and spaccard and potentially to Keemstort, we'll see Luke Wafel.
- 35:44[SPEAKER_04]: Those guys in there, I like I see to be able to hold that number at bay a little bit.
- 35:52[SPEAKER_04]: I'm going to take the over, but only because of the full game average.
- 35:55[SPEAKER_01]: I was going to get tricked into taking the under until you made that point, because yeah, it could be a could be another fourth quarters.
- 36:04[SPEAKER_04]: It could be.
- 36:05[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 36:06[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 36:08[SPEAKER_04]: And also like your precary averages terrified me.
- 36:11[SPEAKER_04]: because it takes one 60-yard run with two minutes left in the game to just screw everything up that way.
- 36:18[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, you know what I mean?
- 36:19[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 36:19[SPEAKER_04]: So because of that I would take the over, yeah, Calichros in the chat says over because of quarterback runs.
- 36:26[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know how much of a runner
- 36:31[SPEAKER_04]: We will see, and not much data on Mandel as a quarterback, so that makes it difficult to sort of say.
- 36:37[SPEAKER_04]: Let's go to the next one, my first over under, which is going to be 8.5, fourth quarter points for Fresno states.
- 36:50[SPEAKER_04]: Of course, setters a state last week, scored 23.
- 36:55[SPEAKER_04]: They went for it on 4th down, sorry, and they went for it for a 2-point conversion twice and got both of them.
- 37:02[SPEAKER_04]: Fresers 8 last year scored 100 points in the 4th quarter.
- 37:06[SPEAKER_04]: Almost doubled the 52 that they scored in the 3rd.
- 37:09[SPEAKER_04]: Six times they scored double digit points in the 4th quarter, 16 and Oregon State.
- 37:14[SPEAKER_04]: 14 against Georgia Southern, 14 against HBCU Southern, 10 at Hawaii, 14 against Wyoming, 17 against the Spartans of San Jose State.
- 37:27[SPEAKER_04]: We know the yes, we know everything that happened the fourth quarter last week, over under eight and a half.
- 37:33[SPEAKER_04]: I put it at eight and a half, because if a Fresno State scores and goes for two and gets it, that won't count.
- 37:39[SPEAKER_04]: So like will they score twice, essentially,
- 37:44[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I like the over here, mostly because it's a fourth quarter in a game that could be uncompetitive and at that point, if USC's third stringers are on the field and so many of them are true freshmen, then I think it would be
- 38:06[SPEAKER_01]: expected for Fresno State to at least get a couple scores in, um, you know, ideally a touchdown and field goal if you're taking the over here or ideally, you know, three field goals could also could also get you over there, um, depending on what USC's offense is doing.
- 38:24[SPEAKER_04]: Not to derail you here, but follow up three field goals.
- 38:27[SPEAKER_04]: How you feel about that defensive performance in the fourth quarter?
- 38:29[SPEAKER_01]: Perfectly fine.
- 38:30[SPEAKER_01]: I think we're like, could I take that?
- 38:32[SPEAKER_01]: Give me that right now.
- 38:33[SPEAKER_04]: Exactly, too.
- 38:34[SPEAKER_01]: Give me the over and that, and now we're happy.
- 38:36[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 38:37[SPEAKER_01]: Um, yeah.
- 38:39[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, I like that over.
- 38:40[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 38:40[SPEAKER_04]: Um, I'm going to take the under and I'm taking the under, just because I think that this game will be just bead less scoring than last week.
- 38:49[SPEAKER_01]: I had a thought to take the under simply because the ways that San Jose State exploited USC's weakness in that final quarter were all because of the spread offense that they were doing, and USC was doing, and Lincoln Riley talked about this this week to, I think was on Trojan's live, but about how, in the fourth quarter, they were
- 39:17[SPEAKER_01]: they were trying to get a look at a bunch of players and they were mixing matching and being very experimental like I had talked about in the fallout episode that there were players that they were keeping in the game even though they were screwing up because they just needed to keep they needed to see what they have and they were also trying out weird combinations and set of the state was running a pass offense where they were going
- 39:46[SPEAKER_01]: players in that secondary who were just being alive over and over and over again.
- 39:50[SPEAKER_01]: And in this game, I don't know that it's the same calculation.
- 39:54[SPEAKER_01]: It really comes down to buy the fourth quarter, will U.S.
- 39:58[SPEAKER_01]: These third, fourth stringers be able to
- 40:03[SPEAKER_01]: go against the run a little better than that.
- 40:05[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think Fresno 6 is going to go out there in 5 wide and I don't think USC is going to end up in, you know, three high safeties and 60Bs on the field.
- 40:14[SPEAKER_01]: Six safeties all on the field at one time.
- 40:16[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I just think it'll look different.
- 40:19[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 40:19[SPEAKER_04]: Not agree.
- 40:21[SPEAKER_04]: I agree.
- 40:22[SPEAKER_04]: Let's go to the next one.
- 40:23[SPEAKER_04]: What do you got?
- 40:25[SPEAKER_01]: I want to just Randy in the chat do you think with all the fallout from last week's fourth quarter they might tighten up on the number of players they play I think that's entirely possible especially with the next game being Louisiana instead of the next being game being Fresno State and also having an extra day of rest for that next game um last week they were preparing to play a game on short rest this week they don't really need to protect the players quite as much
- 40:54[SPEAKER_01]: it gets to a point where that that that that that that those backups are struggling they could very easily put guys back in and and go back to sort of stabilize it yet it's a good point I don't know how much one day really changes things especially early in the season but
- 41:11[SPEAKER_04]: of the games, of the pre-organ games, the first four games of the season.
- 41:18[SPEAKER_04]: This is the one where you will have the most rest after.
- 41:21[SPEAKER_04]: You get an extra day and you do not have to travel next week.
- 41:26[SPEAKER_04]: To play Louisiana against Louisiana, yes, you get a full normal rest before Rutgers, but you also have to travel to Rutgers.
- 41:33[SPEAKER_04]: So, yeah, I think this is sort of the best of both worlds extra day and no travel, so we'll see that factors.
- 41:41[SPEAKER_01]: We're going running it back 0.5, Luke Wafel Sachs, again, USC plays a team that was very good in not allowing Sachs last year, not as good as San Jose State was, but Fresno State was tied for 27 nationally, they allowed 19 Sachs last year, 1.46 per game, but it's a different kind of challenge, San Jose State would avoid Sachs by just getting the ball out quickly.
- 42:09[SPEAKER_01]: Fresno State.
- 42:11[SPEAKER_01]: Their set numbers are slightly impacted by the fact that they were 95th nationally in past attempts per game last year.
- 42:17[SPEAKER_01]: They weren't throwing the ball at on, but they were also pretty good at past blocking.
- 42:22[SPEAKER_01]: They had a 78.1 pass blocking grade from PFF.
- 42:25[SPEAKER_01]: Just pretty good.
- 42:26[SPEAKER_01]: That was 17th nationally compared that to USC's which was 60.898 nationally, and it's quite a difference.
- 42:35[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously different level of competition.
- 42:38[SPEAKER_01]: We forgot our cards again.
- 42:41[SPEAKER_01]: Different level of competition, but still a
- 42:47[SPEAKER_01]: You know, still a big gap in terms of the reliability of those teams.
- 42:53[SPEAKER_01]: So, Wafel isn't going to be going.
- 42:55[SPEAKER_01]: The bread, Braden Walton is the left tackle.
- 42:58[SPEAKER_01]: He is the guy who was on the Pact 12, like they do.
- 43:03[SPEAKER_01]: They don't do a preseason, you know, all Pact 12 team.
- 43:06[SPEAKER_01]: They do like a,
- 43:07[SPEAKER_01]: stand out for each team and you packed 12 conference quite a weird one.
- 43:10[SPEAKER_01]: No, all right.
- 43:12[SPEAKER_01]: So he the stand out one of the the offensive line stand out for Fresno State was braided in the left tackle, but as you pointed out, Roland Fullwood the right tackle is second team preseason all packed 12 from from Phil steel and that's who way full will be primarily going against.
- 43:29[SPEAKER_04]: So he's the left edge.
- 43:30[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so it'll it'll be a challenge, but based on what we saw from him, again, Senator Zayt, you know, see it.
- 43:40[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I think full wood will get the bull rush from look way full.
- 43:45[SPEAKER_04]: So I'm going over.
- 43:46[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm going to take the over on this until it hits, basically.
- 43:50[SPEAKER_04]: That's my thought.
- 43:51[SPEAKER_04]: That's my, everybody in the chest is over.
- 43:53[SPEAKER_04]: Trovav insane sports takes Mr. Pukahead, Ramamurti, everyone's saying over in the chat.
- 43:59[SPEAKER_04]: So yeah, I think we are all on board.
- 44:02[SPEAKER_04]: We are team taking over on look way full until it happens.
- 44:07[SPEAKER_04]: And then we can reassess.
- 44:09[SPEAKER_04]: Yes.
- 44:09[SPEAKER_04]: Um, mine, my next one, very similar, very similar things, uh, over under 1.75 gdabassiri runstuffs.
- 44:23[SPEAKER_04]: Uh, this is a tackle runstuff, a tackle for loss, or a tackle for no game against the run.
- 44:30[SPEAKER_04]: All right?
- 44:32[SPEAKER_04]: He had two and a half last week against San Jose State.
- 44:35[SPEAKER_04]: He had two by himself and then he teamed up with Luke Wafel for a third.
- 44:39[SPEAKER_04]: I am going to treat them like tackles for loss, so that's two and a half, that's not three.
- 44:43[SPEAKER_04]: So I'm putting the line at 1.75 aka, will he get to two?
- 44:50[SPEAKER_04]: We know they want to run the ball.
- 44:51[SPEAKER_04]: We know that they want to run the ball.
- 44:53[SPEAKER_01]: Give me a second to look at his stats for last season.
- 44:58[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 45:01[SPEAKER_04]: Well, well, well, you, well, you, um, I look that up.
- 45:05[SPEAKER_04]: I think that like, if there's, if there's one thing where I think SC comes into this, this, this, this year with a chip on the shoulder and needing to just like depot in some salsa on the defensive line.
- 45:18[SPEAKER_04]: it's creating negative plays and I think that if your GDA have a series like this is a great opportunity to continue to do that when you saw how good he was last week at run stops that big fourth down stop he had in the first quarter against Saturday State was was big.
- 45:34[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah I I very get that I'm gonna play the stats here though because I don't think it's
- 45:44[SPEAKER_01]: Like it's not that common for a defensive lineman to get to tackles for loss in a game.
- 45:50[SPEAKER_01]: Like one tackle for loss in a game would be a good showing for G'day adversary.
- 45:55[SPEAKER_01]: And I also think that this is
- 45:58[SPEAKER_01]: Last week's match of in terms of offensive line was geared toward street adversary because there wasn't going to be a side like size was not going to be a factor.
- 46:07[SPEAKER_01]: He was the same size as the as the guard for for Santa Jose state.
- 46:11[SPEAKER_01]: But here he's going to be giving 25 30 pounds to Fresno State's interior alignment.
- 46:19[SPEAKER_01]: And it's just going to be a little bit harder, I think, and statistically, even if he has a good game, even if he plays well and answers my question, he could still very easily end up with 1.5 tackles for loss or stops for no game.
- 46:36[SPEAKER_01]: You run stops, and he'd get the under, so I am taking the under here.
- 46:47[SPEAKER_04]: Michael's got the over I'm taking the I like the the the the front to get a lot of opportunities because we know for the state wants to run the ball And so I am taking the over I'm not going to say that they're going to have a million have a place, but I think this is doable Like a no game counts, you know what I mean it's not just a tiffle no game counts, so I'm going to take the over on over under 1.75 gd a bissary run steps
- 47:18[SPEAKER_01]: We got taken with a freshman, 2.5 Mark Bowman Receptions.
- 47:25[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 47:26[SPEAKER_01]: So I like that.
- 47:27[SPEAKER_01]: He had three against San Jose State.
- 47:30[SPEAKER_01]: Hmm?
- 47:32[SPEAKER_01]: But it's worth remembering that individual titans in this offense don't tend to have a ton of volume.
- 47:48[SPEAKER_01]: He never had less than two, but he never had more than three.
- 47:53[SPEAKER_01]: So I know that they want to get Mark Bowman involved here, but if to no kinds is back, they're going to be spreading the world to him, they're going to want to keep getting the ball to the freshmen.
- 48:05[SPEAKER_01]: And Mark Bowman,
- 48:09[SPEAKER_01]: might very well just end up with that two-catch Lake McCree line that where we see him maybe have two catches for more yards than he did that with the the shortest short games that he had here or two catches with a touchdown as Mark Murkoffman in the chat says.
- 48:30[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah how much Mark
- 48:39[SPEAKER_04]: brain says under.
- 48:44[SPEAKER_04]: uh... sold says over i think brain wins here i'm taking the under uh... taking the under just because like if this was at three and a half i'd definitely take the under two and a half i'm very tempted to take the over because like you said like last year the tight-end's just always caught three catches again like that just that was that this is sort of sweet spot for for lake mcree uh... and uh... walker lions and
- 49:12[SPEAKER_04]: Take in the under strictly because it's early in the season.
- 49:15[SPEAKER_04]: I think a lot of guys are still going to want to get opportunities I think we're still going to see some Carson Tabarachis and Nellotupo also
- 49:24[SPEAKER_04]: maybe I'm putting a lot of credit in him, but see me in the Harris is a guy that he's gonna have to sort of be mindful of.
- 49:31[SPEAKER_04]: But I know that, see me in Harris can't guard everybody.
- 49:35[SPEAKER_01]: So, if I was in the state, we may want him to, but you may want him to.
- 49:39[SPEAKER_04]: But I, that'll be the, the type breaker for me getting torn here.
- 49:45[SPEAKER_04]: So I'm gonna take the under.
- 49:46[SPEAKER_01]: uh... Randy asked his Tucker ashcraft playing this week and we didn't mention him in the injury discussion uh... he is on the debt chart and or with carson taverachi and and led to poor order to go
- 50:03[SPEAKER_01]: uh... yet that that the three ashcraft tabarachian and to poor uh... are all ors so there's a chance he plays and if he does i think that that is another reason to to look at it and say you know that the the ball might be spread around a little bit more so all right let's get my last one uh... over under uh... two hundred and eighty six
- 50:28[SPEAKER_04]: 0.5, Jaden Mayava passing yards.
- 50:34[SPEAKER_04]: Uh, this is the interesting one because he had 286 last week in San Jose State.
- 50:39[SPEAKER_04]: So that's where the line's 286.5.
- 50:41[SPEAKER_04]: Caleb Williams had 284 against Fresno State back in 2022.
- 50:47[SPEAKER_04]: However, Fresno State's past defense,
- 50:50[SPEAKER_04]: back then, uh, sorry, back last year was really, really damn good.
- 50:55[SPEAKER_04]: We talked about this.
- 50:56[SPEAKER_04]: Number two in total past defense averaging 153.8 yards per game allowed.
- 51:02[SPEAKER_04]: By the way, only Ohio State was better.
- 51:04[SPEAKER_04]: Not only was Ohio State better, they were almost like 25 yards better.
- 51:10[SPEAKER_04]: If you look at the the best past defense numbers last year, there's like a bunch of teams in the in the one fifties Fresno State the best of those and then Ohio State it a hundred and twenty nine point seven.
- 51:23[SPEAKER_04]: What the hell How Secondary yeah
- 51:33[SPEAKER_04]: Anyways, uh, for Thursday number three in yards per attempt last year, 5.4, number five and pass a rating, number five in interceptions, number six in completion percentage.
- 51:43[SPEAKER_04]: And of course, only two teams through for 200 plus yards last season versus for Thursday.
- 51:49[SPEAKER_04]: One of those was why you only had two hundred and a nineteen.
- 51:53[SPEAKER_04]: The other one, the Oregon State beavers had 388.
- 51:56[SPEAKER_04]: That was the only team that would have covered this last year was Oregon State.
- 52:02[SPEAKER_04]: So, 286 and a half for Jane Mayaba.
- 52:06[SPEAKER_04]: I think this is difficult because if you told me should Jane Mayaba throw for 300 yards against every G6 opponent, I would say, yes, I think that's a reasonable expectation.
- 52:21[SPEAKER_04]: Or at least average that much.
- 52:23[SPEAKER_04]: Give in how good Fresno State was against the past last year.
- 52:27[SPEAKER_04]: And given it's early in the season, you want to get your running backs going.
- 52:31[SPEAKER_04]: And you factor in, like, if you are up three scores late, you're going to put it in Jonas Williams, like all those things are things to consider.
- 52:41[SPEAKER_04]: Over under 286.5, Jaden, might have a passing here.
- 52:46[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's all those things that have me taking the under here.
- 52:51[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 52:51[SPEAKER_04]: Um, I'm going to agree, under.
- 52:54[SPEAKER_01]: Also taking the under.
- 52:55[SPEAKER_01]: You know, um, it's, it's really just again playing the numbers, um,
- 53:05[SPEAKER_01]: The idea that you could have this game play out where USC is, you know, it's more like the 2020, 2022 game where USC just jumps all over them and it's over quickly and then USC is just
- 53:25[SPEAKER_01]: running out the clock or seeing Jonas Williams or, you know, taking a slow with all the like, um, you could have, you could have the running backs who didn't get any explosive plays last week, suddenly pop for explosive plays, both of them are very capable of that.
- 53:40[SPEAKER_01]: And they, that was one thing I saw this week is, um, believe it was Wayman Jordan talked about how
- 53:47[SPEAKER_01]: It was a, like, massacre of a film study for the running back room, because they, you know, they were, I'm forgetting that, I'm getting the name of U.S.
- 53:58[SPEAKER_01]: He's running backscote, but he said that he,
- 54:05[SPEAKER_01]: Why don't we have Tony in my head?
- 54:07[SPEAKER_01]: It's not Tony.
- 54:09[SPEAKER_01]: Hold on.
- 54:12[SPEAKER_01]: Tony Jones.
- 54:15[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 54:17[SPEAKER_01]: Tony Jones ripped into the running backs because he saw opportunities that they didn't take.
- 54:23[SPEAKER_01]: There was issues with blocking.
- 54:26[SPEAKER_01]: confidence in reading the gap and all that kind of stuff.
- 54:32[SPEAKER_01]: And so I wouldn't be surprised if they go into this game feeling like they need to challenge those running backs to go a little bit more crazy in this game.
- 54:44[SPEAKER_01]: And it's just, I don't know, he could have a really successful game at 275.
- 54:51[SPEAKER_04]: You know, no, I agree.
- 54:53[SPEAKER_04]: I agree.
- 54:53[SPEAKER_04]: I think all of those things are reasons to take the end.
- 54:57[SPEAKER_04]: The other thing is he could get the over because, you know, there's a 70 yard catch too.
- 55:02[SPEAKER_04]: All these things are difficult, but yeah, I'm going to take the under for all the reasons that you sort of confirm there.
- 55:10[SPEAKER_04]: Look at the running backs last week.
- 55:12[SPEAKER_04]: SC had zero runs more than 20 yards, four more than 10, but they were one of the,
- 55:22[SPEAKER_04]: Six teams in college football.
- 55:25[SPEAKER_04]: Six, seven teams in college, bowl last week.
- 55:28[SPEAKER_04]: That did not run for 20 plus yards, at least once.
- 55:34[SPEAKER_04]: The other teams, Eastern Michigan, Hawaii,
- 55:38[SPEAKER_04]: Jacksonville State, NC State, New Mexico State, North Carolina, and S.C. All of those teams did not get a chunk run, so we'll see if S.C. can get a chunk run against the press in their state.
- 55:48[SPEAKER_04]: So there's the over under, be sure to click the link in the show notes in the chat here on YouTube, make your picks and join us play along with over under and only see it as time to get to the mail bank.
- 56:04[SPEAKER_04]: You've got mail.
- 56:06[SPEAKER_04]: All right, we start with a, you know, we got from Jared from Salt Lake City.
- 56:13[SPEAKER_04]: Highly see in Michael, I'm Jared from Salt Lake City.
- 56:15[SPEAKER_04]: Been a long time since those meetups at Hopper.
- 56:18[SPEAKER_04]: It hasn't been a good time.
- 56:20[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, wow, we saw, do we see him twice?
- 56:24[SPEAKER_04]: I think we saw him twice.
- 56:25[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 56:26[SPEAKER_04]: First off, thanks for the level headed takes in the carcass.
- 56:29[SPEAKER_04]: This game was a 35 to 3 win, but USC fans should really think of it as a 31-point win.
- 56:34[SPEAKER_04]: What we needed to see was the performance of the players who will carry U.S.E through the season and they did not disappoint with that hines.
- 56:42[SPEAKER_04]: My avas still lit up the defense while throwing the guys he's never thrown to in a real game.
- 56:48[SPEAKER_04]: The offensive line looked good as I've seen it in several years for an opening game, running back Jordan and Miller looked just as good if not better the last season.
- 56:57[SPEAKER_04]: And the start is in the defensive line, Stout, Luke Wafel on his six-coloured snap, nearly sack the quarterback for his safety.
- 57:02[SPEAKER_04]: If you'd have a Siri looked excellent, getting off blocks and making plays, we've been clamoring for years for USC to get some dudes in the trenches, and guess what, USC is plenty of them.
- 57:12[SPEAKER_04]: The one in 2D players will take 90% in the snaps in 2026.
- 57:16[SPEAKER_04]: We didn't need to see a blowout.
- 57:18[SPEAKER_04]: We needed to see the players capable of going totato with being the best of the big 10 and I'm convinced that they can.
- 57:24[SPEAKER_04]: The USC can stay healthy.
- 57:25[SPEAKER_04]: This is a 10 and 2 and 9 and 3 team.
- 57:27[SPEAKER_04]: Thanks for all of both of you.
- 57:29[SPEAKER_04]: There are plenty of podcasts.
- 57:31[SPEAKER_04]: podcast options out there, but ready to try as always, but my number one list and everyone else is tied for second Jared for Salt Lake City Jared, do you a you work a flight crew by chance?
- 57:43[SPEAKER_00]: That's something that's like, that's a, and thanks for what I know.
- 57:47[SPEAKER_04]: We need a plenty of options out there.
- 57:49[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I love that.
- 57:51[SPEAKER_04]: We appreciate it.
- 57:52[SPEAKER_04]: We, we missin' you in Utah since we never go there anymore.
- 57:56[SPEAKER_04]: No need.
- 57:57[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 57:57[SPEAKER_04]: I'm four-channel.
- 57:58[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's bummer for you.
- 58:00[SPEAKER_01]: Utah's fun.
- 58:01[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 58:01[SPEAKER_01]: I like that drive, too.
- 58:03[SPEAKER_01]: My parents are, it made that drive recently, and, um, Bridget Hamilton was a little crazy.
- 58:10[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 58:10[SPEAKER_04]: But it's, uh, it's a good drive.
- 58:12[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 58:13[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I mean, and that was a good email, great email even from Jared, so thank you for presenting that in.
- 58:20[SPEAKER_01]: And being so, you know, I think hitting every point really, obviously we're in agreement.
- 58:27[SPEAKER_01]: So I think it's a thank you for your level headed takes.
- 58:32[SPEAKER_01]: We always appreciate those.
- 58:33[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 58:34[SPEAKER_04]: All right, email from Michael.
- 58:37[SPEAKER_04]: Great, great name.
- 58:38[SPEAKER_04]: By the way, losing to another day by 16 points a week, zero, but still be better than beating Sanders a state by 16.
- 58:44[SPEAKER_04]: Riley sucks.
- 58:46[SPEAKER_04]: We need Pete Carroll back any time, any team, anywhere, any venue.
- 58:50[SPEAKER_04]: I liked it when we opened up against Alabama and Dallas at the Pixkin Classic.
- 58:54[SPEAKER_04]: I don't even remember who won.
- 58:55[SPEAKER_04]: Riley is a wimp.
- 58:56[SPEAKER_04]: We don't want practice games.
- 58:58[SPEAKER_04]: We want to compete against real opponents.
- 59:00[SPEAKER_04]: We played another day.
- 59:01[SPEAKER_01]: uh... two days ago the game was been well attended plus we may have one uh... uh... uh... unfortunately michael i think that's a lot here remember there was a lot there i very very very remember who won the game when you as he went to tell it hey for twenty minutes uh... that was fun
- 59:23[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, don't forget those 22 minutes.
- 59:25[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, no, but I get where Michael's coming from and and I think that's been my that was my mindset Initially when all of this popped off with USC and Notre Dame.
- 59:36[SPEAKER_01]: I think that
- 59:39[SPEAKER_01]: USC is a program should be willing to challenge itself and and playing a team like Notre Dame every year is that challenge and the idea that USC hasn't gone to the playoff because they've been playing Notre Dame or whatever is kind of it's kind of like a paper tiger kind of argument because if USC went to the playoff because they didn't play Notre Dame
- 1:00:10[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think USC would have the results that you would want in the playoff if they weren't already a team that could beat Notre Dame.
- 1:00:17[SPEAKER_04]: Can I make an analogy here?
- 1:00:19[SPEAKER_01]: And the problem has been it hasn't even been close with Notre Dame for a lot of these games.
- 1:00:24[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, go ahead.
- 1:00:24[SPEAKER_04]: I would argue that there have been close games, but not close enough.
- 1:00:28[SPEAKER_04]: Not close enough.
- 1:00:29[SPEAKER_04]: And sometimes the score doesn't look as close as the game may be played out, but yeah.
- 1:00:33[SPEAKER_04]: All right.
- 1:00:40[SPEAKER_04]: uh... i think it was room number c one uh... if you're if you want to go to the literal classroom it got to be in that class she didn't let me take the final because it wouldn't the final wouldn't have gotten me to a day like mathematically
- 1:01:02[SPEAKER_04]: And I remember literally arguing with her in this class for like 10 minutes about why I should be able to take the final to improve my grade, she's like, it doesn't matter.
- 1:01:12[SPEAKER_04]: It's not going to give you an egg, like math, math, and like, but a 99% is better than an 86.
- 1:01:20[SPEAKER_04]: And like, to me, I think this is your argument about the playoff thing, where like,
- 1:01:28[SPEAKER_04]: would play Notre Dame, not play Notre Dame help you get into the playoff.
- 1:01:32[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, it would improve your percentage grade.
- 1:01:40[SPEAKER_04]: Would it improve your letter grade in terms of winning a national championship?
- 1:01:46[SPEAKER_04]: No, because if you're a national championship winning team, then you should be able to go in there and beat Notre Dame and tell Ben and beat everybody on your schedule or just about everybody on your schedule, because that's what championship teams do.
- 1:01:59[SPEAKER_04]: Like, it's both those things are there.
- 1:02:02[SPEAKER_01]: Did that analogy make any sense?
- 1:02:03[SPEAKER_01]: No, no, that totally makes made sense.
- 1:02:06[SPEAKER_01]: And I also, I mean, I'm on record about this.
- 1:02:10[SPEAKER_01]: I suspect that the reason the store got opened and the first place is because Lincoln Riley was trying to make the road easier and I don't necessarily respect that.
- 1:02:21[SPEAKER_01]: Having said that, I will maintain USC wanting to move the game from the middle of the season to the start of the season is a completely reasonable ask.
- 1:02:32[SPEAKER_01]: that is threading the needle between not straining yourself to an unreasonable degree while also still maintaining the challenge of playing Notre Dame.
- 1:02:44[SPEAKER_01]: So I think there is a sweet spot there where playing Notre Dame in, in, in, in, uh,
- 1:02:51[SPEAKER_01]: every other year, traveling to South Bend in the middle of October, having your rivalry with UCLA changed weeks every year, having your buy week messed up every few years, having your travel schedule get messed up, all of the stuff that was being caused by that rivalry game in an era where USC is in the big ten and travel is even more
- 1:03:21[SPEAKER_01]: was a reasonable request that Notre Dame could have a seeded to, but they chose not to.
- 1:03:31[SPEAKER_01]: And the rivalry is coming back because Notre Dame ultimately caved on that point.
- 1:03:36[SPEAKER_01]: And so USC will be better off to be playing Notre Dame than not.
- 1:03:41[SPEAKER_01]: But this is a very complex conversation and I have a lot of differing feelings on it.
- 1:03:50[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I go back to the thought of like Trojan Death Char star in the chat says, I'm sorry when did the USC become a cupcake merchant.
- 1:04:00[SPEAKER_04]: I go back to the thing of like S.C. plays nine big 10 games.
- 1:04:06[SPEAKER_04]: Playing Notre Dame was never the problem.
- 1:04:10[SPEAKER_04]: It was playing Notre Dame and the nine games when other teams in the country are not necessarily doing that.
- 1:04:16[SPEAKER_01]: See the SECC who plays eight games and all that sort of like, it's nine eight games and now they're moving to nine games and they are doomsdaying about it.
- 1:04:27[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, which is.
- 1:04:28[SPEAKER_04]: And so the idea that I think there is some of like,
- 1:04:35[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, well, why aren't you still taking the organ trail?
- 1:04:37[SPEAKER_04]: Well, because an interstate exists now.
- 1:04:41[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 1:04:41[SPEAKER_04]: And the interstate, you still have to go do the work of driving the interstate, of not playing, of like not playing Notre Dame or whatever, but like it's still going to take you a long time to, it still takes effort and everything, but like, walking the organ trail,
- 1:05:00[SPEAKER_04]: for what?
- 1:05:01[SPEAKER_04]: Like for to say that you did, you know what I mean?
- 1:05:04[SPEAKER_04]: Like, I think that, yes, I want I see to play another name every single year, but I also want them to be able to do that in a way that isn't detrimental to their ability to do anything else going forward.
- 1:05:21[SPEAKER_04]: And also,
- 1:05:23[SPEAKER_04]: is in a somewhat equitable way compared to every other team.
- 1:05:33[SPEAKER_04]: Schedules are not consistent in college football, not even within conferences because conferences have such a wide spectrum of teens in it.
- 1:05:42[SPEAKER_04]: We look at the big 10.
- 1:05:44[SPEAKER_04]: The big 10 schedules are fair in the sense that they are, it is a rotational system and the big 10 is not literally making this team play more teams than that team.
- 1:05:58[SPEAKER_04]: Like it is a rotational system, it is what it is.
- 1:06:01[SPEAKER_04]: But they're unfair in the sense of like, you get SC schedule versus what Penn State has, right?
- 1:06:07[SPEAKER_04]: Like, completely different just because there's more teams and there are weeks on the schedule and you're not gonna play everybody in that creates better or worse things.
- 1:06:15[SPEAKER_04]: And then you add on the eight versus the nine games thing, the travel and all this kind of stuff, so, I don't know.
- 1:06:24[SPEAKER_04]: I'm glad SC's playing Notre Dame every year.
- 1:06:26[SPEAKER_04]: I don't think it's crazy to ask for the terms that they do.
- 1:06:30[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 1:06:32[SPEAKER_04]: That's that's all I'm saying.
- 1:06:34[SPEAKER_04]: All right.
- 1:06:34[SPEAKER_04]: We got our super chat.
- 1:06:37[SPEAKER_04]: Super chat coming in from early capital ranch.
- 1:06:40[SPEAKER_04]: Birthday trip to Vegas this weekend.
- 1:06:42[SPEAKER_04]: So here I'm touched on Trojan's donations beat the bulldogs.
- 1:06:47[SPEAKER_01]: Touchdown Trojan's.
- 1:06:51[SPEAKER_04]: Alicia is now bad time.
- 1:06:53[SPEAKER_04]: We appreciate you if I can't arrange.
- 1:06:54[SPEAKER_04]: We hope you have an awesome birthday trip happy birthday We would sing happy birthday, but that would be a little weird It's just the bad time to to talk about it might be the time to pull the band it off.
- 1:07:07[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, yeah, Friday night will be the season for series finale.
- 1:07:12[SPEAKER_04]: Sorry The Alicia watch along well last whenever
- 1:07:17[SPEAKER_01]: series if if we talk about it in the British sense maybe like it's possible to bring back for the bulgain maybe sure um it just we will not be able to do for the rest of the season um which which sucks because I really do enjoy uh I really enjoy the the watchalongs I have a lot of fun with the the chat and um and and you know getting to react with everybody and all of that um
- 1:07:44[SPEAKER_01]: It's just, you know, you're too important.
- 1:07:48[SPEAKER_01]: My, my day job does occasionally have to take precedence.
- 1:07:52[SPEAKER_01]: And we can do this on Friday night because Friday night is is not when all of the college football games aren't.
- 1:08:00[SPEAKER_01]: It's not when I'm working.
- 1:08:01[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 1:08:01[SPEAKER_01]: But during a Saturday college football, um,
- 1:08:05[SPEAKER_04]: you're covering the national.
- 1:08:07[SPEAKER_01]: I'm covering the national college football slate and also covering all the other sports at the same time and I just can't afford to not have my attention so fully on the chat and the USC game and everything like that all at once to the point where I can't, you know,
- 1:08:28[SPEAKER_01]: take care of business for for my day jobs.
- 1:08:31[SPEAKER_01]: So it's already challenging enough to watch the USC game and give it my attention while also knowing that I have to bounce around and do that but at least I can do that while I'm working and watching instead of being on camera and engaging with the chat and having these conversations.
- 1:08:48[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah it's just as with all things just blame my
- 1:08:56[SPEAKER_04]: No, we love your day job, and there was a, was there a comment?
- 1:09:02[SPEAKER_04]: Was it in the live chat or was it, it might have been a comment on the video proper that was like, hmm, a sports writer who doesn't go to any games, that doesn't sound like any sports writer I've heard.
- 1:09:14[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, when we had a conversation about like we were asking a question of why aren't we at games?
- 1:09:21[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 1:09:23[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, because we aren't in games because you are covering football from a national perspective.
- 1:09:29[SPEAKER_04]: And we are doing video carcass and those need to go up as soon as possible.
- 1:09:35[SPEAKER_04]: And when you were going
- 1:09:38[SPEAKER_04]: to cover all of your national games from home and I was going to the game a couple years ago sitting in the press box and then having to rush home to do the car cast as nice that was to be able to go to those games and get the perspective of watching them in person and all that stuff.
- 1:09:55[SPEAKER_04]: in these difficult to get ready to do a car cast and be prepared and all of that.
- 1:10:02[SPEAKER_04]: So that all makes it a little bit harder.
- 1:10:06[SPEAKER_04]: Given that we want to make sure that we're, you know, given
- 1:10:12[SPEAKER_01]: up-to-date podcast as soon as we can because that's what the medium is now right yeah um and so the good news is we will still be able to do the car cast immediately after games yeah um which is the advantage of of of my day job uh maybe a little tighter home yeah uh yeah those car cast might be a little bit tighter uh which is probably a good thing
- 1:10:32[SPEAKER_01]: person like for the channel because us having some discipline in terms of the the the length of these episodes um as it turns out not everyone enjoys you know committing to a podcast that's like an hour and 45 minutes well which I like that's like three hours I'm like oh yes every morning every morning I listen to RHAP do their life feed update for the big brother life feeds
- 1:10:59[SPEAKER_01]: And some mornings, it's like 40 minutes and I'm like, ah, and some days you'll get out, you'll go up there and it's like an hour and 30 minutes.
- 1:11:08[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah.
- 1:11:09[SPEAKER_01]: This is going to be good.
- 1:11:11[SPEAKER_04]: So, there was a few dope ways episodes last year that clocked in over three hours.
- 1:11:18[SPEAKER_00]: And it was like, yes, this is what this is what we're talking about.
- 1:11:21[SPEAKER_00]: That's our dream.
- 1:11:22[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 1:11:24[SPEAKER_04]: All right, some rundowns, some stuff here in the chats.
- 1:11:29[SPEAKER_04]: Two questions from Sean Beardfoss and Texas to wrap us up.
- 1:11:35[SPEAKER_04]: First one, why is the sound a door opening and not the sound of a mailbox referring to this?
- 1:11:41[SPEAKER_04]: You've got mail.
- 1:11:45[SPEAKER_04]: Um, Sean, I think we might be older than you, but not by much, not by much, not by much.
- 1:11:54[SPEAKER_04]: Do you not know what this sound is?
- 1:11:56[SPEAKER_04]: You've got mail.
- 1:12:00[SPEAKER_04]: No?
- 1:12:01[SPEAKER_04]: Anybody?
- 1:12:02[SPEAKER_04]: Viewer?
- 1:12:07[SPEAKER_04]: That's the mail sound.
- 1:12:09[SPEAKER_04]: It is the, well actually, my preferred mail sound?
- 1:12:12[SPEAKER_04]: Not safe for work.
- 1:12:15[SPEAKER_04]: uh... that it would be uh... scotties mail sound in your trip that is what i used to have on my computer at home which was great i love to cannot play that over the air but this you've got mail
- 1:12:34[SPEAKER_04]: I can't.
- 1:12:35[SPEAKER_01]: What it is is a hint.
- 1:12:36[SPEAKER_01]: So yes, it's like, why is it a door?
- 1:12:38[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 1:12:39[SPEAKER_01]: It's just, it's a hint.
- 1:12:40[SPEAKER_01]: It's a squeaky hint.
- 1:12:42[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 1:12:42[SPEAKER_04]: Also, I need to, I'm curious.
- 1:12:47[SPEAKER_04]: I, to be fair, to be fair to shine here.
- 1:12:49[SPEAKER_04]: I might have spliced two AOL sounds here.
- 1:12:54[SPEAKER_01]: I think you did.
- 1:12:55[SPEAKER_04]: I think I did.
- 1:12:56[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 1:12:56[SPEAKER_04]: Because the, you've got mayo.
- 1:13:00[SPEAKER_01]: Those are two different things.
- 1:13:01[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 1:13:04[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, yeah, and I'm talking about a well messenger, not a m. Yeah.
- 1:13:09[SPEAKER_04]: I'm talking about like when you had, you know, Billy Bob 46 is your screen name, and you saw that your cousin came on.
- 1:13:21[SPEAKER_04]: Maybe I shouldn't say Billy Bob in a cousin, but you know what I mean?
- 1:13:24[SPEAKER_04]: You've got mail.
- 1:13:26[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that door opening because of that.
- 1:13:30[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, so I spliced them together.
- 1:13:32[SPEAKER_04]: OK. Yeah.
- 1:13:33[SPEAKER_04]: They're a well-sounds, baby.
- 1:13:35[SPEAKER_04]: You are.
- 1:13:35[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 1:13:36[SPEAKER_04]: All right.
- 1:13:37[SPEAKER_04]: Last thing, Sean, we lost the next question for later.
- 1:13:41[SPEAKER_04]: What's your favorite stadium song in sports?
- 1:13:45[SPEAKER_04]: Your favorite?
- 1:13:47[SPEAKER_04]: Chuck Jam.
- 1:13:48[SPEAKER_01]: OK, so I'm going to put aside.
- 1:13:50[SPEAKER_01]: You'll never walk alone.
- 1:13:52[SPEAKER_01]: Because I don't think that's what this question is.
- 1:13:57[SPEAKER_04]: as a song that song is trash you are trash as a song it's trash i think it's cool that everybody sings it and all that kind of stuff i get the history i think that's all fun and dandy and nice as a song it's a great song it's hot dog water it's a great song yeah
- 1:14:17[SPEAKER_01]: Either way, I'm putting that to the side if we can go overall like no limits, it's the Valencia Goal Song, which is, that is, that is great, if we're going college football.
- 1:14:39[SPEAKER_04]: which the volunteer goal song is it's a it's a techno song yeah actually I only know it is the volunteer goal song and also like in in FIFA or EFC it's literally just the Valencia goal song so like through the hell knows um I've searched Valencia goal song and Valencia CF goal song with stadium effect it what the hell is it called?
- 1:15:05[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know is it just
- 1:15:09[SPEAKER_04]: Does it not have a name?
- 1:15:12[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know.
- 1:15:14[SPEAKER_04]: I thought it was a thing.
- 1:15:15[SPEAKER_01]: It sounds like tsunami, but I don't think it's actually tsunami.
- 1:15:20[SPEAKER_01]: It might be.
- 1:15:24[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I don't know.
- 1:15:25[SPEAKER_01]: But it kind of sounds different.
- 1:15:26[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know whatever.
- 1:15:28[SPEAKER_01]: In terms of football, the first thing that came to my head to be honest is lose yourself.
- 1:15:39[SPEAKER_01]: OK, OK.
- 1:15:41[SPEAKER_04]: So I am going to go with a couple of things.
- 1:15:45[SPEAKER_04]: First of all, jock jams.
- 1:15:47[SPEAKER_04]: I could spend
- 1:15:48[SPEAKER_04]: three hours talking about this this would be a three hour episode talking about jack James I have a jack James playlist I will pull it up on the button I'm not gonna click play because for copyright reasons but just to reference some some things here where we go I have a couple of them here we go
- 1:16:18[SPEAKER_04]: to be up there, say and storm, a de route should be up there.
- 1:16:23[SPEAKER_04]: Once on, I love ready to go by Republica.
- 1:16:30[SPEAKER_04]: To me, that reminds me of the Colosseum, and I was a child, because that was something they would play in Warma, you've heard this song.
- 1:16:37[SPEAKER_04]: You've heard it.
- 1:16:38[SPEAKER_04]: It's like one of those, um,
- 1:16:42[SPEAKER_04]: What what whether the lyrics to ready to go ready to go Okay, no you just I got I got just from that water the lyrics here.
- 1:16:52[SPEAKER_04]: I'm pulling this up
- 1:16:55[SPEAKER_04]: ready to go.
- 1:16:56[SPEAKER_01]: Well, you're doing that.
- 1:16:57[SPEAKER_01]: Lamont says the sawing the Dodgers play when Diaz comes in to close the game.
- 1:17:00[SPEAKER_01]: Isn't that, is that the horns?
- 1:17:02[SPEAKER_01]: That's the trumpets.
- 1:17:03[SPEAKER_01]: The trumpets.
- 1:17:03[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:17:04[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 1:17:05[SPEAKER_01]: Drop-ups has conquest.
- 1:17:06[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think conquest counts because these are like over the loudspeakers kind of sawing.
- 1:17:11[SPEAKER_04]: So yeah, chorus goes.
- 1:17:14[SPEAKER_01]: Park says crazy train.
- 1:17:16[SPEAKER_04]: I'm standing on the rooftop shouting, baby, I'm ready to go.
- 1:17:19[SPEAKER_04]: I'm back, I'm ready to go from the rooftop, shut it out.
- 1:17:21[SPEAKER_04]: It's a crack, I'm back, I'm standing on the rooftop.
- 1:17:24[SPEAKER_04]: So I mean, it doesn't, yeah, no, it's ready to go.
- 1:17:28[SPEAKER_01]: I got the song from that little.
- 1:17:30[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 1:17:31[SPEAKER_04]: Um, other ones that I really like here as I scroll through here and look at some old, um, real freed from desire is great.
- 1:17:42[SPEAKER_04]: Well, I was getting that freed from desire to me is my number one right now.
- 1:17:46[SPEAKER_04]: Free from desire sounds incredible.
- 1:17:49[SPEAKER_04]: Country roads.
- 1:17:51[SPEAKER_04]: when song.
- 1:17:52[SPEAKER_04]: It's beautiful.
- 1:17:53[SPEAKER_01]: That was one of my favorite things about the World Cup.
- 1:17:55[SPEAKER_01]: I'm so glad the U.S. chose that as the.
- 1:17:58[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 1:18:00[SPEAKER_04]: Here's here's the here's songs that I've put together in my Jack James playlist spelled Jack like Jack Jones.
- 1:18:07[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I shamelessly love the freebird mix that they use it at the like remix that they that they used for the U.S.A.
- 1:18:20[SPEAKER_04]: I'd like to get ready for this.
- 1:18:21[SPEAKER_04]: Da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da
- 1:18:41[SPEAKER_04]: Um, so I, I had an, an album, a CD when I was, one of my first CDs.
- 1:18:48[SPEAKER_04]: It was like sports, jack jams, volume two, and it had like some weird stock footage of, like, fans celebrating and stuff.
- 1:19:00[SPEAKER_04]: Some of the songs on that, I've put it in this playlist.
- 1:19:03[SPEAKER_04]: So, um, including Moni Moni.
- 1:19:08[SPEAKER_04]: Not really played now, but I think Moni Moni, walking on sunshine, Katrina in the waves, no?
- 1:19:16[SPEAKER_01]: Dan mentions sweet Caroline.
- 1:19:18[SPEAKER_01]: I also shamelessly love sweet Caroline.
- 1:19:20[SPEAKER_04]: You'd like songs about pedophilia?
- 1:19:23[SPEAKER_01]: I'm a sucker for a pedophilia song.
- 1:19:25[SPEAKER_01]: I am a sucker for crowdsinging.
- 1:19:27[SPEAKER_01]: So, okay, Troopop says I love LA.
- 1:19:33[SPEAKER_01]: Can I explain my trauma about I love LA?
- 1:19:39[SPEAKER_04]: I hated it to have your games obviously.
- 1:19:42[SPEAKER_01]: Michael, for a long time, the alarm on his phone, the wake-up alarm was a very, very effective alarm.
- 1:19:51[SPEAKER_01]: I found it to be very effective.
- 1:19:53[SPEAKER_01]: That was the point.
- 1:19:54[SPEAKER_01]: It would do like the horns, like the hockey horns, and it would do like the, basically from the kings.
- 1:20:03[SPEAKER_01]: Hold on.
- 1:20:03[SPEAKER_01]: You gonna pull it up?
- 1:20:05[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 1:20:08[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:20:15[SPEAKER_01]: I promise it's so real right now.
- 1:20:21[SPEAKER_04]: Is the go hard?
- 1:20:23[SPEAKER_01]: No, and then it would do that.
- 1:20:24[SPEAKER_01]: It would do, I love LA, do, do, do, and then it would do that.
- 1:20:28[SPEAKER_01]: And then it would stop, and then it would go again, and again, and again, and again, it's a very, very, I need to be alone.
- 1:20:34[SPEAKER_01]: I need to be alone.
- 1:20:36[SPEAKER_01]: Except for this man who couldn't be woken up by a freaking like,
- 1:20:43[SPEAKER_01]: uh, uh, tornado siren apparently.
- 1:20:46[SPEAKER_01]: So I would be laying in bed when I was trying to sleep or I would be in the other room and I would just hear it go, I love it, I love it, I love it, just over and over and over and over and over and over and over.
- 1:21:02[SPEAKER_01]: I would just lose my mind.
- 1:21:05[SPEAKER_01]: So I have, so
- 1:21:06[SPEAKER_01]: It's not that I hate, I love LA, but I hate, I love LA because I hear it and I just start to just stress and Badger has come over because I'm worked up and he's concerned about about that.
- 1:21:20[SPEAKER_04]: How do you want to say hi to the people?
- 1:21:21[SPEAKER_04]: I'm saying hi to the people.
- 1:21:23[SPEAKER_04]: I, um, I like, I love LA when it's part of the King School song.
- 1:21:29[SPEAKER_04]: No other use, I think, I like Randy Newman.
- 1:21:34[SPEAKER_04]: I like either raining songs, then I love L.A. which is really corny.
- 1:21:38[SPEAKER_04]: But this is the same thing about GoCub's go.
- 1:21:40[SPEAKER_04]: Like GoCub's go?
- 1:21:41[SPEAKER_04]: GoCub's go.
- 1:21:42[SPEAKER_01]: In the moment?
- 1:21:43[SPEAKER_01]: GoCub's go.
- 1:21:44[SPEAKER_01]: When laid for purpose?
- 1:21:46[SPEAKER_01]: H.C. Go, what do you say?
- 1:21:48[SPEAKER_01]: Actually, there's so many songs that are like, like, for, in any other context, would be so cornball.
- 1:21:55[SPEAKER_01]: You listen for it.
- 1:21:56[SPEAKER_04]: GoCub's go on a Tuesday in November and you're like, what the hell is this garbage?
- 1:22:02[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but then, you know, in the moment,
- 1:22:04[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 1:22:05[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:22:06[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to the super chat.
- 1:22:11[SPEAKER_04]: This comes from Friday on MC.
- 1:22:15[SPEAKER_04]: Do I dare ask Michael how many hats he owns?
- 1:22:17[SPEAKER_04]: Glad you brought this up.
- 1:22:21[SPEAKER_04]: At least I should I share my screen with one of those.
- 1:22:26[SPEAKER_01]: Oh yes.
- 1:22:27[SPEAKER_01]: Should I do this?
- 1:22:28[SPEAKER_01]: You should let the people in.
- 1:22:30[SPEAKER_01]: I got to find it.
- 1:22:31[SPEAKER_04]: Where is it?
- 1:22:33[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know where I put it.
- 1:22:35[SPEAKER_04]: Uh-oh.
- 1:22:37[SPEAKER_04]: Here goes.
- 1:22:38[SPEAKER_04]: Here goes.
- 1:22:39[SPEAKER_04]: Here goes.
- 1:22:40[SPEAKER_04]: Let's go to the share screen page.
- 1:22:45[SPEAKER_04]: Share screen.
- 1:22:46[SPEAKER_04]: Here we go.
- 1:22:49[SPEAKER_04]: This is this is going to be some of the.
- 1:22:50[SPEAKER_01]: This is my most in y'all.
- 1:22:52[SPEAKER_04]: Most embarrassing.
- 1:22:53[SPEAKER_01]: I married this man.
- 1:22:54[SPEAKER_04]: Thing.
- 1:22:56[SPEAKER_04]: I created a hot hot pot calendar.
- 1:23:02[SPEAKER_04]: So I would track all the hats I wore because I have a lot of hats.
- 1:23:07[SPEAKER_04]: But I would track them so that way I wouldn't wear the same track the hat back to back episodes.
- 1:23:12[SPEAKER_04]: Because it's bad enough that like I only like exclusively wear car hard shirts.
- 1:23:16[SPEAKER_04]: But I have like...
- 1:23:19[SPEAKER_04]: Probably 20 car heart shirts 25 car heart shirts in like four different colors and so it looks like you Watched episode today you watch the episode two days or now you're like he's wearing the same shirt I'm not but I worry about those kind of things and I worry about the hat thing So I would literally track so I could tell you that right here August 30th 20 25 for the Missouri State Carcass I wore my blue Chelsea hat
- 1:23:49[SPEAKER_01]: car casting its Purdue I wore the jet lag hat the U.S. angels had that insane sport takes the stuff was a U.S.C.
- 1:23:57[SPEAKER_01]: day that we went to at Angel Stadium where we got an Angel's hat that has the U.S.C.
- 1:24:04[SPEAKER_01]: logo on the side.
- 1:24:05[SPEAKER_01]: It's cool here.
- 1:24:06[SPEAKER_04]: Jessica in the chat says honestly that's really smart it is but the point is I have a lot of hats the thing is when we moved
- 1:24:17[SPEAKER_04]: We put the hats in like boxes, and I don't have them all in the same place that are easily accessible right now.
- 1:24:27[SPEAKER_04]: And so I feel like I'm recycling through like five different hats during episodes right now, which is why I'm wearing this Kirkland Sinatra hat right now, which is like the lap that they was literally- The word signature is falling off.
- 1:24:43[SPEAKER_01]: He was literally just saying on Monday.
- 1:24:45[SPEAKER_01]: right where's we were getting to record.
- 1:24:47[SPEAKER_01]: I can't find my like I don't have what where of all my hats gone because he has literally like two drawers that sit under his desk that have all of the um that I'll have all of his hats and okay show you what of the hats I really want to wear on on stream and it's a can't do it.
- 1:25:06[SPEAKER_04]: Can't wear it in um in uh work meetings either but I will show it for the people and not say it.
- 1:25:15[SPEAKER_01]: I will I will fill in the gap it is it is a hat for the other U.S.C.
- 1:25:21[SPEAKER_01]: the the South Carolina mascot is heavily um yeah there's the angel hat you know show the U.S.C.
- 1:25:30[SPEAKER_04]: on the side it's a band hat yeah let's see band hat uh I have opinions about this concept great
- 1:25:45[SPEAKER_04]: execution, horrendous, what the concept is so good I got, I got to wear it from now and then, you know what I mean?
- 1:25:55[SPEAKER_04]: Plus, you can wear an angel hat proudly now that Mr. Arts falls there owner apparently.
- 1:26:01[SPEAKER_01]: You know, we haven't discussed this, but it has been a very weird week for me as a sports fan.
- 1:26:09[SPEAKER_01]: First I got, you know, thrown into the absolutely unnecessary and silly attendance gate for the entire week.
- 1:26:20[SPEAKER_01]: And then the angels were freed from the tyranny of art, Marino, Marino, selling the team to Stan Kronky.
- 1:26:31[SPEAKER_01]: So that's a whole big change for the angels.
- 1:26:33[SPEAKER_01]: And then today, the clippers got death penalty.
- 1:26:38[SPEAKER_04]: And that punishment just kept getting longer and longer.
- 1:26:45[SPEAKER_04]: As it gets read out.
- 1:26:47[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so you see USC angels was the angels if we're talking transference were attendance gate and the clippers punishment the price for Arty Marino being gone it could have been it could have been I still don't understand Arty Marino How the how did this man?
- 1:27:15[SPEAKER_04]: Go from being the number one owner in sports.
- 1:27:20[SPEAKER_04]: Everyone's most beloved owner in sports.
- 1:27:25[SPEAKER_04]: If you are an angel fan right now who's like 18 and you don't understand this, two decades ago, already Marino could have done anything and people would have loved the man.
- 1:27:39[SPEAKER_01]: uh... arty marina just made a bunch of really really stupid decisions and come in and you might need a bunch of silly things he'll turn and then and then just like basically he he made a bunch of mistakes and then was like well okay by good you know whatever we won't do anything about it we're just gonna you know flail around in our misery sorry for signing Anthony Rendon
- 1:28:05[SPEAKER_04]: now like stuff your face in it the the the the other part about this is ironically is staying cranky not the inverse staying cranky was legendarily cheap skate owner yes very bad and now all ran the rams into the ground and say it Lewis purposely
- 1:28:29[SPEAKER_04]: He would not invest a dollar or a pound, great British pound with arsenal.
- 1:28:39[SPEAKER_04]: The abs went absolutely into a hell hole for two decades.
- 1:28:46[SPEAKER_04]: And then all of a sudden.
- 1:28:49[SPEAKER_04]: The dude decides, oh, I'm gonna move the Rams back to LA.
- 1:28:52[SPEAKER_04]: I'm gonna build the best sports venue in the world.
- 1:28:56[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, I'm gonna actually spend money for Arsenal.
- 1:28:59[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, I'm gonna invest with the abs.
- 1:29:02[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, and now, suddenly he has the NFL franchise that spends the most money and tries to win more than anybody else in the Rams.
- 1:29:10[SPEAKER_04]: The abs, which are argument, like arguably the best franchise in the NHL.
- 1:29:21[SPEAKER_04]: and arsenal who just won the league only because they weren't any other teams competing with them never want to champions like though and London is still blue but yeah crazy all right we'll wrap up there uh we'll be back uh Friday night six p.m. for the tick off s.c. Fresno state well channel thank you man is it a that a fox feels like a fox
- 1:29:47[SPEAKER_01]: I should know this.
- 1:29:49[SPEAKER_01]: You don't have it?
- 1:29:50[SPEAKER_01]: Well, then I will have it in two seconds.
- 1:29:52[SPEAKER_01]: Views like a fox.
- 1:29:54[SPEAKER_01]: Two seconds.
- 1:29:55[SPEAKER_01]: It is on fox.
- 1:29:57[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:29:57[SPEAKER_01]: Big fox?
- 1:29:58[SPEAKER_01]: Big fox.
- 1:29:59[SPEAKER_01]: Big fox.
- 1:30:00[SPEAKER_04]: Friday.
- 1:30:01[SPEAKER_04]: 6 p.m. That's the core predictions.
- 1:30:04[SPEAKER_04]: We didn't do score predictions.
- 1:30:09[SPEAKER_04]: How did we miss that in the rundown?
- 1:30:11[SPEAKER_01]: Well, it didn't run down.
- 1:30:12[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, it is.
- 1:30:13[SPEAKER_04]: It is.
- 1:30:13[SPEAKER_04]: No, it isn't the run down.
- 1:30:15[SPEAKER_04]: Sorry.
- 1:30:15[SPEAKER_04]: Score predictions thrown out here.
- 1:30:18[SPEAKER_04]: Vegas spread SC by 22 and a half.
- 1:30:23[SPEAKER_04]: Hold on, let's put the, let's, let's, let's do, let's put the graphic back up.
- 1:30:28[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know, let's get into our score predictions.
- 1:30:30[SPEAKER_04]: The Vegas spread SC by 22 and a half.
- 1:30:33[SPEAKER_04]: FBI projection is SC by 23.
- 1:30:36[SPEAKER_04]: What do you got?
- 1:30:37[SPEAKER_04]: SC in Fresno State.
- 1:30:38[SPEAKER_01]: I've got USC 35 Fresno State 12.
- 1:30:44[SPEAKER_01]: 12.
- 1:30:45[SPEAKER_01]: Don't ask me how.
- 1:30:49[SPEAKER_01]: 12.
- 1:30:50[SPEAKER_01]: Don't ask me how.
- 1:30:51[SPEAKER_01]: Touchdown Fjogal safety.
- 1:30:52[SPEAKER_01]: Sure.
- 1:30:53[SPEAKER_01]: Six safety.
- 1:30:54[SPEAKER_01]: Sure.
- 1:30:56[SPEAKER_04]: Is there a two point conversion?
- 1:30:57[SPEAKER_04]: Two safety's.
- 1:30:59[SPEAKER_04]: I like that.
- 1:31:00[SPEAKER_04]: Touchdown.
- 1:31:00[SPEAKER_04]: Well, no, I go right in that.
- 1:31:01[SPEAKER_04]: Fjogal and a one point safety.
- 1:31:04[SPEAKER_01]: What about touchdown, two-point conversion, field goal, and a two-point conversion return for intercepted and returned?
- 1:31:20[SPEAKER_01]: Isn't that one point?
- 1:31:22[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but then it'll be 34.
- 1:31:25[SPEAKER_04]: Either way, 35.
- 1:31:26[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, no, I'm telling you I've got some state.
- 1:31:27[SPEAKER_04]: No, but S.E.I.
- 1:31:28[SPEAKER_04]: went up 34.
- 1:31:29[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, that's true.
- 1:31:30[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:31:31[SPEAKER_04]: I'm going to go 38-16.
- 1:31:33[SPEAKER_04]: which is I know right on that 22 23 mark that Vegas and FBI talking about.
- 1:31:41[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think there will be very many possessions in this game.
- 1:31:46[SPEAKER_04]: I kind of agree.
- 1:31:48[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 1:31:48[SPEAKER_04]: I kind of agree.
- 1:31:50[SPEAKER_04]: So 38-16 is where I'm going.
- 1:31:52[SPEAKER_04]: Romary in the chat says 35-17 and saying sports takes, said 45-13, these state in the chat says four field goals for that 12 points.
- 1:32:07[SPEAKER_01]: I'd take that right now, too.
- 1:32:10[SPEAKER_01]: It's a sports take says I really hope people show up to the game so people stop talking about attendance I've got a spoiler for you.
- 1:32:18[SPEAKER_01]: I've got a spoiler for you.
- 1:32:21[SPEAKER_01]: It's a Friday night game.
- 1:32:22[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 1:32:23[SPEAKER_01]: Here we go.
- 1:32:23[SPEAKER_01]: Sorry Okay, the good no the good news is it won't be a talking point except for okay USC fans prepare yourself
- 1:32:32[SPEAKER_01]: Prepare yourself mentally, don't take the bait.
- 1:32:35[SPEAKER_01]: The entire weekend will simply be a series of photos from every other stadium in the country, saying, look how many people show up to blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
- 1:32:47[SPEAKER_01]: It will happen all weekend, but the thing is, there are 91 football games between Thursday and Monday.
- 1:32:56[SPEAKER_01]: There will be other things for people to talk about if we don't take the bait.
- 1:33:01[SPEAKER_01]: and just let it roll off our backs.
- 1:33:03[SPEAKER_04]: Because I thought Max Brown had a really good good take talk about this, where he's like, the biggest issue for SC is that it was week zero.
- 1:33:12[SPEAKER_04]: They were the only blue blood who played, sorry, Florida State, not counting anymore.
- 1:33:17[SPEAKER_04]: And there was nothing else to talk about.
- 1:33:21[SPEAKER_04]: There was no other story.
- 1:33:23[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:33:23[SPEAKER_04]: It was a boring week of football in that sense.
- 1:33:26[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:33:26[SPEAKER_04]: Um, I will say, last thing.
- 1:33:30[SPEAKER_04]: the only thing I hate about this is that when the excuse goes to the weather it's literally well we're fair weather fans and like that is not the argument you think it is i i'm not gonna litigate this again i know i'm just saying i just want to point out what i'm saying i just want to point out one thing
- 1:33:50[SPEAKER_01]: Literally the difference between last year and the Missouri State Game and the 2023 San Jose State Game both were in August, both through 62, 63,000 official attendance.
- 1:34:05[SPEAKER_01]: The difference between those and Saturday's game was literally a record heat wave.
- 1:34:11[SPEAKER_01]: It's like that is that is the that simply is the explanation for that crowd versus every other year when U.S.
- 1:34:20[SPEAKER_01]: He plays in week zero or in August and it's against a non-marky program.
- 1:34:27[SPEAKER_01]: U.S. he still generally draws 62 63-ish amounts.
- 1:34:33[SPEAKER_04]: But when I get skin cancer, it's probably going to be because I went to the 1998 Perduka.
- 1:34:37[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 1:34:40[SPEAKER_04]: So, just saying, you can have the badge of honor by being there, but okay.
- 1:34:45[SPEAKER_01]: No more attendance stuff.
- 1:34:46[SPEAKER_04]: No more attendance stuff, yeah.
- 1:34:49[SPEAKER_04]: Go, go about your tickets, okay, bye.
- 1:34:52[SPEAKER_01]: I see you.
